Post  Admin on Tue 01 Dec 2020, 10:02 pm

Hi Elaine,

I know this year has been a struggle for so many people in so many realms - the pandemic, the economy, social upheaval, and political turmoil (just to name a few things).

On top of that are all the things that concern us on a personal level - health, finances, relationships, etc.

Then, there are the spiritual things that come against us - all the things trying to lead us astray from the simplicity of Christ.

So I am led of the Lord to begin a serious, in-depth study I'm calling, "The Art of Spiritual Warfare."

While I don't claim to have all the answers to everyone's problems, I want us to shift our focus from "defense" to "offense" in a way that is Christ-centered, Spirit-led, and Scripture-based.

To accomplish that, I think a fresh look at spiritual warfare is long overdue.

Some of the questions we'll discuss in this study include...

Where does evil come from, and why does it exist?

Is spiritual wickedness real, or just an idea?

How do we exercise spiritual discernment?

How do we recognize and defend ourselves against spiritual attack?

What is the “whole armor of God” and what does it mean?

What are the weapons of our warfare, and how do we use them?

How do we overcome the Dragon – personally, and globally?

But we’ll teach these things without hyperbole, without imagining things that aren’t real, without seeing “angels and demons” behind every bush! :-)

Join us this week for the beginning of the series...

Hi Elaine,
The Kingdom of God is not about getting you out of sinful earth and taking you to heaven; it's about bringing heaven into sinful earth and transforming it by the power of God to save, heal, deliver, and reconcile all things.

That's how the Book ends... not with us floating away to be with Jesus in the clouds, but with Jesus coming in the clouds to rule and reign on earth... the New Jerusalem coming down out of heaven... all things made new!

Pretty remarkable!

This week we're looking at those Messianic Psalms that describe the rule and reign of Christ in His Kingdom "on earth as in heaven."

(Because of the Thanksgiving holiday in the U.S., it's been moved to Friday at the same time.)

The Believer's Authority
by Chip Brogden
Scripture declares that God has given us tremendous spiritual authority in Christ. With this authority, we can confidently overcome sin, satan, and the world.

Now, since all disciples have this authority, why doesn’t every disciple overcome? You might be asking yourself that question. You might say, “That sounds good, I believe what the Bible says, but I certainly don’t see that happening in my life, and I don’t see that as being the standard for Christian’s lives as a general way of life. I don’t see this happening. So if all disciples have this authority, why don’t more disciples overcome?”

Well, I think the clue you’re going to find out is...

How to (Really) Hear from God
by Chip Brogden | Audio Teachings

LISTEN FREE
 https://www.chipbrogden.com/how-to-really-hear-from-god/

Jesus said, “My sheep hear My Voice.”

Being able to hear from God is one of the most important things a believer needs to be able to do. It’s important to understand that God is speaking. The question is: do we have ears to really hear what He is trying to say? We have identified four primary ways in which God is trying to speak to us. In this series of messages we discuss how God uses the Word, prayer, other people, and our circumstances to reveal Himself to us. We’ll also talk about ways to keep our hearing from becoming dull by learning to focus on the One Voice Who speaks to us above all others.

Post  Admin on Tue 17 Nov 2020, 11:31 pm

Hi Elaine,

I love how Jesus emphasized the Scriptures during His earthly ministry.

Especially today, when quite a few people think that having the Holy Spirit means the Bible is not as important as it might have been.

But when Jesus appeared to His disciples, the first the thing He did was open the Scriptures to them (Lk. 24:32,45)!

If there was ever a time when Jesus might have said, "You've got Me now, so you can put away your Bibles and just listen to Me directly," that was the moment - but He didn't do it.

Instead, He went through Moses, the Prophets, and the Psalms and "expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself" (Lk. 24:27).

If Jesus thought it was important for His disciples to understand the Scriptures, what makes anyone today think they can improve upon that simplicity?

That's one reason why we do a weekly Online Bible study.

And it's one reason why we're going through the Messianic Psalms - to see Jesus more clearly.

John: The Apostle of Testimony
by Chip Brogden
If you read John’s Gospel you will find that it is harmonious with Matthew, Mark, and Luke, but it is also quite apart from them. There is a profoundness there that is not present in the others.

As the Church increasingly came under the influence of Antichrist, both from within and from without, John wrote his Gospel long after the other three. If you read John’s Gospel you will find that it is harmonious with Matthew, Mark, and Luke, but it is also quite apart from them. There is a profoundness there that is not present in the others. We are not suggesting one Gospel is more inspired that the other, we simply say that the Gospel of John has a certain fragrance not found anywhere else. This is because it was written for a specific purpose during a specific time, and the circumstances surrounding its writing is different from the circumstances surrounding the writing of the other three...

Post  Admin on Sun 15 Nov 2020, 12:45 am

Hi Elaine,

Karla sent this to me this morning, and I thought it was a clever way to describe what's happening in the world today...

Image
It's funny because it's so obviously true - that the world is shutting down, censoring, deleting, or canceling religious or political speech it disagrees with.

It's only a matter of time before we believers in Jesus get "unplugged" altogether.

Already, YouTube is falsely flagging my teachings as "age-restricted" content that I have to keep disputing to get overturned.

But censoring objectionable content is really no different than what that Institutional Church has done for 2,000 years.

In the early days of the religious system, the ones who screamed and yelled the loudest saw their opinions prevail - and the rest were considered "heretics."

That's why I continue to write, teach, and publish "outside the camp" and celebrate the freedom that is ours in Christ.

And I think it is important that I continue to put out books in print - because it seems like free speech (even on the Internet) is being challenged.

That's why I'm looking forward to a new book I have coming out this month, and I want to let you know about it ahead of time.

It's Volume One of a two-volume set based on my teachings from The Book of Revelation.

As I was editing this 400+ page book, Karla asked me:

"Is anyone going to read this?"

Hmmmm!

I had to stop and think about it... because I never even considered whether or not anyone would actually read it.

Maybe not.

I just know I have to publish it and get it out into the world.

I have to "work while it is day, because the night comes when no man can work."

The Book of Revelation, in particular, is one of the most misunderstood and overly-hyped books of the Bible.

I suppose that is to be expected when everyone is thinking about the Last Days, and what to expect.

But when I studied the Book of Revelation and began to teach it, I realized that the book is is not so much doom and gloom as most expect it to be - and frankly, the way most teach it.

Instead, it is the story of how God's Love is willing to do whatever it takes to rid the earth of evil and "make all things new."

God wants to save the world, not destroy the world.

That's the message that tends to get lost in all the controversy and drama over symbols and signs.

So... when Volume One is available in a few days, I'll let you know where and how to get it.

In the meantime, appreciate you listening, reading, and supporting Christ-centered teaching!

And with God's grace we will keep at it.

Hi Elaine,

Kings and kingdoms come and go.

But thousands of years ago, a prophet predicted the coming of a King Who would reign forever.

You may not have considered it, but DAVID was not just a king, shepherd, warrior, and psalmist...

Acts 2:30 refers to David as a prophet!

Just like the parables of Jesus are not just cute little stories, but are prophetic declaration of truth...

So also, the Psalms are not just a collection of poetry and songs, but contain prophetic revelations of Christ.

David clearly saw the crucifixion, death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and ruling of Christ over all.

And David, being a prophet, weaved these prophecies into his worship.

These prophetic declarations of truth pre-date the Ekklesia (and Paul's revelation of Christ) by centuries!

Join us TOMORROW NIGHT for edification, encouragement, insight, wisdom, and spiritual support from these beautiful Scriptures.

From Revelation to Revolution
by Chip Brogden
If there was ever any doubt before, there is no doubt now: we are at war, and not just in a literal sense, but in a much deeper, spiritual sense.
Of course there has always been a war between God and satan, light and darkness, good and evil. We do not want to minimize that. But even more now than ever we are at war between things the way they have been up until now, and things the way they will be. In other words, overcomers will be raised up during these days, and others will stumble. Some will grow in the knowledge of God and get aligned with His Kingdom, and some will become offended and fall away altogether. These are “perilous times” (II Timothy 3:1)...

God has poured out the riches of His grace in Christ, but we cannot benefit from this spiritual wealth if we are ignorant of it.

What is the essence of spiritual wealth, how does it flow, and why does God give it? What is our inheritance, and when will we receive it? How do we overcome this “poverty mentality” and walk in spiritual abundance? These are some of the questions we will consider as we explore “all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge in Christ” (Col. 2:3).

Chip Brogden CHURCH WITHOUT WALLS Empty Re: Chip Brogden CHURCH WITHOUT WALLS

Post  Admin on Tue 27 Oct 2020, 10:53 pm

Hi Elaine,

Scripture says something very intriguing about what God has prepared for us to receive in the future:

“Eye has not seen, nor ear heard,
Nor have entered into the heart of man
The things which God has prepared for those who love Him.” (1 Cor. 2:9)

In the last several weeks we have studied the riches of God's grace, his promises to Abraham and to "all nations," how they are fulfilled in Christ, and how we draw upon those promises in the form of spiritual blessings in Jesus.

But it isn't hard to be a little cynical when you compare what we supposedly "have" with what we actually experience.

Jesus defeated disease - yet so many suffer in pain.

Jesus defeated death - yet we still lose loved ones.

Jesus defeated the devil - yet the devil still walks around like a roaring lion, devouring, deceiving, and destroying.

We touched on some of this last week (Romans 8), observing that Jesus set something in motion that has not come into its fullness.

Creation groans and travails in pain as it WAITS.

We ourselves groan and travail in pain as we WAIT.

Wait for what?

For "all things" to be made new.

Creation is waiting for the children of God - you and me - to receive our inheritance.

So we have past promises, present riches, and future inheritance.

THEN COMES THE END, when that gap between what we know to be true and what we see happening is finally closed.

We know Jesus is Lord; "but we do not YET see all submitted to Him" (Heb. 2).

Well, one day we will.

In the meantime, we have the present riches of the Holy Spirit as the "promise" of that future inheritance.

What does the Bible say about our future?

What did Jesus teach?

What did the early Christians believe?

How does the knowledge of that future hope change the way we see our present reality?

Join us for the last message in this series as we explore...

Escape from Churchianity
by Chip Brogden
It’s a sunny day, the birds are singing, the church bells are ringing, and you see men, women, and children walking down the street, carrying their Bibles.
You rush out into the road and grab an elderly gentleman.

“Where are you going? What’s going on? Why are you so dressed up?”

“Get your hands off me, you crazy idiot! It’s Sunday morning, and I’m going to church!”

“You’ve seen the Church??”

“Seen it? Of course I’ve seen it. My great-great grandfather helped build that church!”

“No, I mean have you SEEN the CHURCH,” you repeat emphatically. “The Church that JESUS is building!”

“I don’t know what the devil you’re talking about, young man. Now let me alone, or I’ll be late!”

You let him go and before you know it you are swept along by the crowd and find yourself sitting within the four walls of a building that calls itself “First Hypocritical Church, International....”

We are missing an opportunity for spiritual growth and maturity by not accurately discerning and recognizing the dealings of the Lord – how He deals with us particularly in the area of adversity.

This teaching explores the spiritual significance of relationships and offers Biblical and practical principles for better relationships with people.

this message will apply to most people that hear it, because whether it is you, or whether it is someone that you love, or someone that you know, most of us are going through some kind of adversity; some kind of distress; some kind of trouble; some kind of affliction; some kind of persecution; some kind of tribulation; some kind of suffering; some kind of trial. Either you are coming out of adversity, or you are in the midst of adversity, or you are about to go through adversity – or, you know someone that has been, is going through, or will go through adversity.

Hi Elaine,

You've heard the saying: "The best is yet to come!"

We've considered the riches of God's grace...

Every spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ...

All God's fullness dwelling in Christ, and all Christ's fullness dwelling in us...

"Filled with all the fullness of God... complete in Him."

Marvelous riches, based on precious promises.

But THE BEST IS YET TO COME!

The Early Christians were taught that, for all the mighty riches of God's grace they had already experienced, there was a future inheritance with much more in store.

We saw Paul hint at this in Ephesians 2, when he mentions God continuing to pour out the riches of His grace and kindness in "the ages to come."

That is, multiple ages, multiple seasons, are required because ONE AGE isn't big enough or long enough to fully measure and appreciate the riches of God's grace.

In this age, sin abounds; evil seems to prosper; wickedness seems to run rampant.

But where sin abounds, grace does MUCH more abound.

And in the age(s) to come, God will open the storehouse of heaven and reveal "all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge in Christ."

These will not be philosophical or purely spiritual blessings, but the kind of thing that overcomes everything WRONG with this world.

No more death.

No more disease.

No more darkness.

No more deception.

No more devil.

God will fulfil all His promises and restore what the enemy has stolen.

This is tremendous!

What does it mean?

When will it happen?

What will it look like?

And how can we make sure we get to participate in it?

Join us for this week's Online Bible study as we consider these things in more detail...

The Two Greatest Commandments – love God, and love your neighbor – all rely on RELATIONSHIPS.

This teaching explores the spiritual significance of relationships and offers Biblical and practical principles for better relationships with people.

I believe there are some basic things you can learn and put into practice that will go a long ways toward improving ALL these relationships and making them better. The idea is to give you some practical skills for building better relationships, fixing what’s broken, and getting more out of your existing relationships, dealing with difficult people, and much more..

Hi Elaine,

What's your favorite old song of faith?

One of my favorites is "Amazing Grace" by John Newton.

It was written by a former slave trader who became a Christian; he then worked to abolish slavery.

Pretty "amazing" story of grace!

The thing is... which John Newton was first saved, he started reading the Bible and immediately gave up swearing, drinking, and gambling...

But he didn't give up slave trading right away.

Many today would reject his testimony and berate him for not "forsaking all sin" on the first day of his salvation.

The real story of Amazing Grace is that God continued to work on John's heart.

And, as John grew in grace and in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus, he eventually gave up slave trading and became a clergyman and abolitionist.

John wrote a pamphlet confessing his sins and calling for an end to slavery.

In it, he said:

"It will always be a subject of humiliating reflection to me, that I was once an active instrument in a business at which my heart now shudders."

This pamphlet was widely distributed in public and in Parliament, which helped pass the Slave Trade Act of 1807, effectively abolishing slavery in the UK.

The point of the story is that it took YEARS for God's amazing grace to get hold of John's heart.

But where we lose patience, God's grace is sufficient.

Where we see sin abound, God's grace abounds all the more.

And if God's amazing grace can "save a wretch" like John, then He can save anyone, from anything.

How can we grow... and flow... in this amazing grace?

he Seed of Apostasy
by Chip Brogden
"What did you expect?" is more than the rhetorical question of an alleged cynic, but an axiom for determining just why you get so frustrated and disappointed with others. In every case, it is because you expect something from them that you did not get.
If we were to love, as Christ, we would expect nothing, and be pleasantly surprised in the event we do receive “a little drop of kindness” in return. But such times are rare.

Jesus told us instead to expect persecution, excommunication, and tribulation. Since Christians today expect blessing, acceptance, and prosperity, it’s easy to see why so many are setting themselves up for a big disappointment when GOD does not meet their expectation. Ultimately, you will apply the same expectations upon God as you do upon people, holding Him personally responsible for what THEY did or did not do to you.

The seed for apostasy and falling away is planted in my heart, in your heart, in every Christian heart: that is, the unrealistic and unbiblical perception of how we expect God and other people to treat us...
