RUMORS OF WAR: US Warns Kim Jong-Un Military Conflict Would Be Devastating
MAY 19, 2017
North Korea has been warned US military intervention would be “tragic on an unbelievable scale” amid fears of WW3. As tensions escalate on the Korean peninsula, Washington insists it will work with the UN, Japan, China and South Korea to reach a solution.  But US Defence Secretary Jim Mattis refused to rule out a military solution.  North Korea launched its
latest missile test on Saturday in defiance of international sanctions as the UN Security Council demanded Pyongyang halt all ballistic missile tests.  Talks continue to gather pace amid fears Kim Jong-un will carry out a sixth nuclear tests imminently.  North Korea has vowed to develop a missile mounted with a nuclear warhead that can strike the mainland United States, saying the programme is necessary to counter US aggression.

Russia attempted to take over Pentagon Twitter account
MAY 19, 2017
Russia tried to gain access to the Twitter accounts of Defense Department officials using messages carrying malware, according to Time magazine.  Russia is said to have sent messages to over 10,000 Pentagon Twitter users, tailored to their interests, baiting them to click on links to stories. Clicking on the link would enable Russian hackers to
gain control of the target’s mobile device or computer and, as a result, his or her Twitter account. According to Time, Russia’s attempts were disclosed in a March report to U.S. counterintelligence officials investigating Russian interference efforts in the 2016 presidential election.  It is unclear whether any devices or Twitter accounts were compromised in the hacking efforts. The report indicates that the attempts were made after the election.

Russia’s ‘Killer Satellites’ Re-Awaken
MAY 19, 2017
A trio of mysterious Russian government satellites startled space experts when, shortly after blasting into low orbit between 2013 and 2015, they began dramatically changing their orbits, demonstrating a rare degree of maneuverability for small spacecraft.  Now after being idle for a year or more, two of the mystery-sats are on the move again. On April 20, 2017, one of them reportedly shaved hundreds of meters off its orbit in order to zoom within 1,200 meters of a big chunk of a defunct Chinese weather satellite that China smashed in a controversial 2007 test of an anti-satellite rocket.
By orbital standards, that’s pretty close.  The Russian spacecrafts’ impressive maneuvers have got observers scratching their heads. No one outside of the Russian government — and probably the U.S. military — seems to know for sure what the satellites are for.  Experts say the Russian satellites could be technology-demonstrators. They might also be precursors to orbital weapons.

Russian Foreign Ministry Deems US-led coalition strike against Syrian forces ‘Absolutely Unacceptable’
MAY 19, 2017
The US-led coalition strike on a pro-government convoy in Syria is unacceptable and violates the sovereignty of the country, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov said. “Any military actions leading to the aggravation of the situation in Syria definitely affect the political process. Especially if such actions are committed against the Syrian armed forces… This is totally unacceptable; it is a violation of Syrian sovereignty. Of course, it does not help the political process,”
Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Gennady Gatilov stated on Friday.  Damascus said on Friday that the Thursday strike hit a Syrian Army position on Al-Tanf road in the Syrian desert “which led to casualties and material damage,” Sana reports. The US-led coalition airstrike on pro-government forces in Syria was called “aggression” and “government terrorism” by Syria’s ambassador to the UN and the government’s chief negotiator at the Geneva talks, Bashar al-Jaafari.

Two Chinese military aircraft intercept U.S. plane…
MAY 19, 2017
Two Chinese fighter jets intercepted a U.S. “sniffer” plane over the East China Sea, two U.S. military officials told NBC News on Thursday. The WC-135 Constant Phoenix aircraft, which “sniffs” the atmosphere for signs of nuclear activity, was conducting a routine mission Wednesday in international airspace over the East China Sea when two Sukhoi Su-30 fighter aircraft intercepted it, the officials said.
The officials wouldn’t say whether the confrontation was considered unsafe, but they said the crew of the U.S. plane described it as “unprofessional.” The U.S. plane was operating in accordance with international law, they said. Officials said the matter was being addressed with China through “appropriate diplomatic channels.”

US prepares for drills with TWO giant aircraft carriers on Kim Jong-un’s doorstep
MAY 19, 2017
US forces have deployed another massive aircraft carrier to the Korean peninsula to front up against tyrant Kim Jong-un. USS Ronald Reagan, which holds 4,500 crew and dozens of planes, will join up with USS Carl Vinson to carry out war drills in the hugely tense region. Today’s announcement by the US Pacific Fleet comes after unhinged Kim told his enslaved people to prepare themselves for cruise missile strikes from “imperialist” America.
The aircraft carriers are riddled with deadly jets capable of carrying out precise but catastrophic strikes. It is not routine for two aircraft carriers to be deployed to a specific theatre — a sign of the unprecedented tensions. “USS Carl Vinson and USS Ronald Reagan are in the Western Pacific, but they are not in close proximity to each other,” a US Navy spokesman said. After sailing from its home port in Japan, the Reagan is expected to reach the area by the end of this month.

Donald Trump will have just 10 Minutes to react if North Korea fires nuclear missile
MAY 18, 2017
Donald Trump will have just ten minutes to react if North Korea fires a long-range missile towards the US mainland, experts have warned. Scientists insist North Korea is not yet fully capable of launching a missile that could successfully travel the 5,500-mile distance, but the hermit kingdom’s nuclear development program is coming along much faster than was previously anticipated.
But if North Korea continues to develop its nuclear missile technology US President Donald Trump could be given just 10 minutes to decide whether he should launch a retaliatory strike, according to experts.  North Korea has made no secret of its work to develop a nuclear-tipped missile capable of striking the US and has ignored calls to halt its nuclear and missile programs in defiance of UN sanctions.

Shadow Brokers launches monthly subscription service offering nuclear, banking secrets
MAY 17, 2017
The Shadow Brokers hacking group is pushing a monthly subscription service offering members top secret information including “compromised network data” from the nuclear and ballistic missile programs of Russia, China, North Korea and Iran. The group’s monthly data dump could also include hacking exploits for web browsers, routers, and operating systems including Windows 10.
“TheShadowBrokers Data Dump of the Month” is a new monthly subscription model, the group said. Payment will likely be made in the cryptocurrency Bitcoin given the group’s ransom demands in previous cyber attacks. The group also promised to include compromised financial data from the SWIFT international payment order system, used by banks to transfer trillions of dollars each day, as well as confidential data from several central banks.

RUMORS OF WAR: South Korea Warns of ‘High Possibility’ of conflict with North Korea
MAY 17, 2017
South Korean President Moon Jae-in said on Wednesday there was a “high possibility” of conflict with North Korea, which is pressing ahead with nuclear and missile programs it says it needs to counter U.S. aggression. The comments came hours after the South, which hosts 28,500 U.S. troops, said it wanted to reopen a channel of dialogue with North Korea as Moon
seeks a two-track policy, involving sanctions and dialogue, to try to rein in its neighbor. North Korea has made no secret of the fact that it is working to develop a nuclear-tipped missile capable of striking the U.S. mainland and has ignored calls to halt its nuclear and missile programs, even from China, its lone major ally.

Vladimir Putin says can prove Trump did not pass Russia secrets
MAY 17, 2017
Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Wednesday that U.S. President Donald Trump had not passed any secrets onto Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov during a meeting in Washington last week and that he could prove it.Speaking at
a news conference alongside Italian Prime Minister Paolo Gentiloni, Putin quipped that Lavrov had not passed what he said were the non-existent secrets onto him either. Putin said Russia was ready to hand a transcript of Trump’s meeting with Lavrov over to U.S. lawmakers if that would help reassure them.

Kim Jong-Un Vows to Keep Testing Missiles Despite Threats from White House
MAY 17, 2017
North Korea has vowed to continue secret underground nuclear explosions and ballistic missile tests as the sabre rattling hermit kingdom bolsters its military capability. Kim Jong-un’s state media told his citizens testing would continue despite threats and sanctions from three of the world’s greatest superpowers – the US, China and Russia. Earlier this week the
tyrannical despot tested an intermediate-range ballistic missile, which is believed to be capable of reaching US territory. The North’s Director of Asian Affairs Pak Jong-hak claimed the secretive state is attempting to bolster its defenses. He said: ”Until the US and its followers make the right choice we will further produce sophisticated and diversified nuclear weapons and striking means to push and prepare for necessary tests”.

Satellite Images Reveal NK Nuclear Missiles More Powerful Than World Feared And Can Hit US
MAY 17, 2017
Satellite images of Kim Jong-un’s main missile test site reveal North Korea’s weapons are far more powerful than first thought. And trigger-happy Kim could soon have long-range weapons capable of reaching Alaska and Hawaii. Careful analysis of North Korean tests sites, using images from Planet, reveal the regime has gradually been building up the size of its missiles.
Scorch marks in the ground show that it may now be testing the Hwasong-12 rocket – capable of flying 4,500miles. That would put the US military base at Guam, Hawaii and Alaska within range, reports Quartz.com. The detailed satellite images are so precise that a private plane believed to whizz Kim around the country to watch missile tests is clearly visible. And experts are not convinced a series of failed tests mean the programme is failing.

North Korea Cyber Sleeper Cells Prep War-Contingency..
MAY 17, 2017
They take legitimate jobs as software programmers in the neighbors of their home country, North Korea. When the instructions from Pyongyang come for a hacking assault, they are believed to split into groups of three or six, moving around to avoid detection. Since the 1980s, the reclusive North has been known to train cadres of digital soldiers to
engage in electronic warfare and profiteering exploits against its perceived enemies, most notably South Korea and the United States. In recent years, cybersecurity experts say, the North Koreans have spread these agents across the border into China and other Asian countries to help cloak their identities. The strategy also amounts to war-contingency planning in case the homeland is attacked. Now, this force of North Korean hacker sleeper cells is under new scrutiny in connection with the ransomware assaults that have roiled much of the world over the past four days.

North Korea-US End Times Bible Prophecy, Nuclear Destruction Fears: Should Christians Despair?
MAY 16, 2017
With the recent escalation of tensions between the United States and North Korea, discussions have stirred about how it fits into biblical prophecy and whether these developments should be a cause for concern about the End Times. Pastor Greg Laurie of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside, California, expressed his concerns earlier in May over America being potentially destroyed in a nuclear war with North Korea, given that both countries are missing from the events
prophesied in Revelation, the final book of the Bible. Some theologians, however, such as Dr. Samuel Lamerson, professor of New Testament and president of Florida’s Knox Theological Seminary, told The Christian Post on Monday that such fears are unfounded. “I don’t see any reason to despair because one cannot find the U.S. in the book of Revelation,” Lamerson told CP. “Biblical prophecy is often very difficult to understand. In many cases one needs the fulfillment in order to understand the prophecy.

China creating massive ‘Orwellian’ DNA database…
MAY 16, 2017
In the name of safeguarding its 1.4 billion people, China has been collecting biometric information from millions of people whom it deems potential threats—among them, Uyghurs, migrant workers, and college students—as part of national DNA database. China’s Ministry of Public Security, which oversees the database, has amassed information for more than 40
million people—the country says it has the world’s biggest database of DNA information (link in Chinese)—as of 2015, according to a report published by Human Rights Watch (HRW) Monday (May 15). For comparison, in the US, the FBI’s national DNA index has 12.7 million offender profiles. “Mass DNA collection by the powerful Chinese police absent effective privacy protections or an independent judicial system is a perfect storm for abuses,”said Sophie Richardson, China director at HRW. “China is moving its Orwellian system to the genetic level.”

UNSC threatens North Korea with sanctions, Says launches must stop!
MAY 16, 2017
The UN Security Council has warned it may hit North Korea with a new round of sanctions in response to its latest missile launches, which it blamed for stirring up regional tension, and urged Pyongyang to stop its nuclear and ballistic missile activity. In the wake of North Korea’s medium-range missile launch into the Sea of Japan on Saturday, the UNSC
slammed the self-isolated country for “highly destabilizing behavior and flagrant and provocative defiance” it displays by turning a blind eye to multiple UN resolutions expressly prohibiting it from attempting such actions. Apart from reiterating its commitment to comply with all restrictive measures imposed on North Korea under previous resolutions, the Council hinted it might look at the possibility to tighten the grip on the state’s economy, which is already suffering under a heavy burden of international sanctions.

DEVELOPING: Was North Korea Linked To Global Cyber Attack?
MAY 16, 2017
Cyber security researchers have found technical clues they said could link North Korea with the global WannaCry “ransomware” cyber attack that has infected more than 300,000 machines in 150 countries since Friday. Symantec and Kaspersky Lab said on Monday some code in an earlier version of the WannaCry software had also appeared in programs

used by the Lazarus Group, which researchers from many companies have identified as a North Korea-run hacking operation. “This is the best clue we have seen to date as to the origins of WannaCry,” Kaspersky Lab researcher Kurt Baumgartner told Reuters. Both firms said it was too early to tell whether North Korea was involved in the attacks, which slowed to a crawl on Monday but have already become one of the fastest-spreading extortion campaigns on record.

Financial Weapons Of Mass Destruction: The Top 25 U.S. Banks Have 222 Trillion Dollars Of Exposure To Derivatives
MAY 16, 2017
(Reported By Michael Snyder) The recklessness of the “too big to fail” banks almost doomed them the last time around, but apparently they still haven’t learned from their past mistakes.  Today, the top 25 U.S. banks have 222 trillion dollars of exposure to derivatives.  In other words, the exposure that these banks have to derivatives contracts is approximately equivalent to the gross domestic product of the United States times twelve.
As long as stock prices continue to rise and the U.S. economy stays fairly stable, these extremely risky financial weapons of mass destruction will probably not take down our entire financial system.  But someday another major crisis will inevitably happen, and when that day arrives the devastation that these financial instruments will cause will be absolutely unprecedented. During the great financial crisis of 2008, derivatives played a starring role, and U.S. taxpayers were forced to step in and bail out companies such as AIG that were on the verge of collapse because the risks that they took were just too great.

BREAKING NEWS: Russia Aligns with China in crafting the New World (trade) Order
MAY 15, 2017
History will record the Belt and Road Forum in Beijing marked the juncture where the 21st century New Silk Roads assumed their full character of Globalization 2.0, or “inclusive globalization,” as defined by President Xi Jinping in Davos earlier this year. I have dealt with the monumental stakes here and here. Terminology, of course, remains a minor problem. What was once defined as One Belt, One Road (OBOR) is now promoted as the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
Much is still somewhat lost in translation in English, what matters is that Xi has managed to imprint the myriad possibilities inbuilt in the concept especially across the Global South. An amiable host, Xi in Beijing went ‘no holds barred’ extolling the inclusive integration merits of OBOR/BRI. It also helps that along the way, this being China, his spin doctors came up with a lovely metaphor to illustrate how OBOR/BRI should find its force as a common, pan-Eurasian effort; “Wild Swan geese [found across Asia but not in Europe] are able to fly far and safely through winds and storms because they move in flocks and help each other as a team.”

NATO and Russia Carry Out War Games in Show of Strength Across the Globe
MAY 13, 2017
NATO commanders put on a show of strength during a tank competing exercise in Germany, as Russia flexed its muscles by parachuting tanks onto a battlefield. Six Nato allies competed in the Strong Europe Tank Challenge in the town of Grafenwoehr yesterday, with Austria coming first to beat France, Germany, Poland, Ukraine and the USA. The competition, held for its second time, tested soldiers on vehicle identification, battle damage assessment and precision manoeuvres.
Lt Gen, Ben Hodges, the commander of US Army Europe, has said the competition was designed to help build a team spirit between the six nations. Nato, increasingly at odds with Russia over their perceived ambitions in Europe, held the event across five days. Russian President Vladimir Putin’s troops were seen practising dropping tanks onto a battlefield on the same day. A BMD-4M tank was dropped from the back of a Ilyushin Il-76 cargo plane from 800m.

Bin Laden’s Son looking to avenge father as Al-Qaeda ‘Stronger than Ever’…
MAY 13, 2017
Personal letters seized in the raid that killed Osama bin Laden reveal the al Qaeda leader’s son to be a young man who adores his father and wants to carry on his murderous ideology. That son today is poised to lead a stronger, larger al Qaeda and is bent on avenging his dad’s death, says an ex-FBI agent familiar with those documents. Holly Williams interviews Ali Soufan, the former FBI agent who was the bureau’s lead investigator of al Qaeda after the 9/11 attacks, on

the next edition of 60 Minutes Sunday, May 14 at 7 p.m. ET/PT. Soufan describes a letter from the son, Hamza, that was collected in the raid and now declassified. “He tells him that…he remembers ‘every look…every smile you gave me, every word you told me.'” Hamza would be about 28 now and wrote the letter when he was 22 and had not seen his father in several years. Hamza also wrote this: “I consider myself to be forged in steel. The path of jihad for the sake of God is what we live.”

Putin Blames America For Cyber Attacks
MAY 15, 2017
Vladimir Putin has blamed the US for the global cyber attack that has crippled computer systems around the world since Friday.  The cyber attack, which wreaked havoc at dozens of NHS trusts on Friday, has continued to spread, hitting thousands of computers in China and Japan. Putin said Russia had “nothing to do” with the attack and blamed the US for creating the hacking software that affects Microsoft computers.
“Malware created by intelligence agencies can backfire on its creators,” said Putin, speaking to media in Beijing. He added that global leaders needed to discuss cyber security at a “serious political level” and said the US has backed away from signing a cyber security agreement with Russia.  Authorities fear a second wave of the “WannaCry” ransomware could hit systems as people return to work and switch on their computers on Monday morning.

Putin Warns America to “Stop Bullying North Korea”
MAY 15, 2017
Vladimir Putin waded into the North Korea crisis this morning and told Donald Trump: ‘Stop bullying Kim.’ Russia’s ironman leader warned the “intimidation” of Kim Jong-un’s regime must end. He said: “We must stop intimidating North Korea and find a peaceful solution to this problem.” But Vlad also had words of warning for the wannabe nuclear state –
telling Kim he must not build his nuclear arsenal. One test landed within 60 miles of Russia’s Far Eastern coast on Saturday night. At a meeting on his state visit to China, Putin added: “We are categorically against the expansion of the club of nuclear powers. “We consider [the missile test] counter-productive, harmful and dangerous.” Despot Kim is trying to fit a nuclear warhead to one of his ballistic missiles – the largest of which it is feared could hit the US.

U.S. Military Preparing Flight Intercept Test of Ballistic Missile
MAY 13, 2017
The distinctive missile telemetry ship MV Pacific Collector is in port at Aloha Tower, possibly for a key upcoming ballistic missile defense test. The 393-foot ship with twin domes housing 24-foot antennas is owned by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Maritime Administration and used in support of U.S. Missile Defense Agency missions. Spokesman Chris
Johnson said the agency doesn’t usually talk about assets used in a missile defense test until after the fact, but did confirm the next flight intercept test of the ground-based mid-course ballistic missile defense system is planned for late May. That test will be the first time a ground-based missile interceptor launched from California attempts to smash into a “threat-representative” intercontinental ballistic missile in its mid-course over the Pacific, the Missile Defense Agency said.

China moves cutting-edge AWACS planes near disputed S. China Sea islands
MAY 13, 2017
The Chinese military has deployed its latest airborne early warning and control aircraft to an air base in the vicinity of the contested South China Sea islands, according to Defense News, citing satellite imagery. The imagery provided by DigitalGlobe company shows a number of Shaanxi KJ-500 and KJ-200 airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft at the Jialaishi Air Base in the northern part of China’s Hainan island,
Defense News reported on Friday. According to the news outlet, this is the first time China has stationed its state-of-the-art KJ-500 aircraft in Hainan. The KJ-500, bearing a distinctive radar antenna over the fuselage, is equipped with a “dorsal radar dish mounting a phased array radar with three fixed arrays angled at 120 degrees relative to each other for all-round coverage.”

North Korea claims latest missile test proves its capability to carry Nuclear Warheads’

Pyongyang has claimed that its medium-range ballistic missile test carried out on Sunday under the supervision of Kim Jong-un has confirmed the “tactical specifications and technical characteristics” of the rocket which North Korea says is capable of carrying nuclear warheads. North Korea has succeeded in launching its new surface-to-surface missile on May 14, Pyongyang’s official Central News Agency announced. “The test fire was conducted with maximum angle of the
projectile’s elevation in consideration of the safety of neighboring countries, with the aim of confirming the tactical specifications and technical characteristics of the new long-range strategic ballistic rockets capable of loading powerful heavy-weight nuclear warheads,” KCNA announced. According to Pyongyang, the launch has enabled testing in “actual flight conditions” the missile’s “stabilization, structural, pressurization and launch systems,” as well as “reliability of the rocket’s engine” and its integrity “in the harsh reentry environment.”

Latest North Korea Missile Launch Ended Up 60 Miles From Russia
MAY 15, 2017
North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is in a “state of paranoia” as it was revealed his latest nuclear missile test landed just miles from Russia. Nikki Haley, US Ambassador to the United Nations, called the launch early on Sunday morning local time a message by Pyongyang to South Korea after the election of President Moon Jae-in, who took office on Wednesday.
She said: ”You first have to get into Kim Jong-Un‘s head – which is, he’s in a state of paranoia, he’s incredibly concerned about anything and everything around him.” Mrs Haley added the United States will “continue to tighten the screws” on North Korea, mentioning sanctions and working with the international community to put pressure on Pyongyang. On Monday morning, North Korea claimed it succeeded in launching a ground-to-ground intermediate ballistic missile.

Latest Launch Indicates North Korea has Missiles Powerful Enough to ‘launch Strike at America’
MAY 14, 2017
Kim Jong-un’s latest missile launch suggests North Korea has a weapon capable of striking at the US, experts have warned. Japan and South Korea said the missile reached an altitude of 2,000 km (1,245 miles) and landed just 60 miles south of Russia. Fired from a site north of Pyongyang, its estimated range of 3,700 miles would make it capable of hitting Hawaii. South Korea’s newly elected President Moon Jae-in described the launch at dawn as “reckless provocation”.
Analysts say the test suggested a longer range than previous North Korean missiles. A US official said the missile landed in water 60 miles south of Russia’s Vladivostok region, home of the Russian Pacific Fleet. Japan defence minister Tomomi Inada said it had travelled for 30 minutes. Expert Kim Dong-yub, based in Seoul, gave a range of 3,700 miles, capable of reaching Hawaii.

White House Warns “North Korea has Been Flagrant Menace for far too long”
MAY 14, 2017
The White House responded to the latest North Korean ballistic missile launch late Saturday, saying that the rogue regime has been a “flagrant menace for far too long.” The statement added that President Trump “cannot imagine that Russia is pleased” with North Korea’s latest test because the missile landed close to Russia soil. The statement pointed out that the missile landed closer to Russia than to Japan.
The White House said the U.S. maintains its “ironclad commitment” to stand with its allies in the face of the serious threat posed by North Korea, and added that the latest “provocation” should serve as a call for all nations to implement far stronger sanctions against the North. The Pentagon confirmed that North Korea launched some type of ballistic missile at around 10:30 a.m. Hawaii time. It was launched near Kusung and landed in the Sea of Japan.

RUMORS OF WAR: North Korea’s Latest Missile Test Posing “Grave Threat” to Japan
MAY 14, 2017
North Korea’s latest ballistic missile test has flown further and higher than it’s last, posing a ‘”grave threat” to Japan. The missile was launched yesterday in defiance of calls to rein in its weapons program, days after a new leader in its old rival South Korea came to power pledging to engage it in dialogue. The US Pacific Command said it was assessing the type of weapon used but it was “not consistent with an intercontinental ballistic missile”.
Japanese Defence Minister Tomomi Inada said the missile could be of a new type altogether. The missile flew 430 miles and reached an altitude of more than 1,245 miles, according to officials in South Korea and Japan, further and higher than an intermediate-range missile North Korea successfully tested in February from the same region of Kusong, northwest of its capital, Pyongyang.

North Korea sends chilling coded radio messages to South Korea
MAY 13, 2017
North Korea has sent a chilling coded message across South Korea’s airwaves in a defiant act designed to ramp up tensions that are already at boiling point. Tension has been high for months on the Korean peninsula over North Korea’s nuclear and missile development amid fears it will conduct a sixth nuclear test and more ballistic missile launches in defiance of UN Security Council resolutions.

Kim Jong-un’s hermit state resumed broadcasting the eerie numbers via its radio station in Pyongyang last June, using them to direct their spies across the border in the South. But the ghostly broadcasts – which are usually broadcast at midnight – was aired last night for the first time since Moon Jae-in was sworn in as South Korea’s new president. BREAKING NEWS: China tests new missile near Korean peninsula
MAY 9, 2017
Beijing has tested a new missile close to the Korean peninsula amid heightened tensions in the region, after North Korea, South Korea, and the US recently conducted military drills in the area. The Chinese military carried out the test in the busy northeastern Bohai Sea close to the Korean peninsula “in recent days,” Chinese Xinhua news agency reported on Tuesday, citing a statement from China’s Defense Ministry. The operation was designed to “enhance the combat skills of

the forces” to safeguard national security, the brief statement said. “The test achieved the expected result,” it added, without disclosing the exact date of the launch or any further details.Beijing announced last month that it would continue to stage live fire drills and test new weapons to address national security threats, as a response to the US’ recent controversial deployment of its THAAD anti-missile system in South Korea.

RUMORS OF WAR: Inside Edition Airs Segment On How To Prepare for a Nuclear Blast
MAY 9, 2017
The world is on edge as North Korea threatens America with a nuclear attack, and many are imagining the unthinkable. If you are half-a-mile from the epicenter of the explosion and have the knowledge on what to do, it’s possible to survive a nuclear blast. “It’s what you do in the first 5 to 10 minutes after a bomb goes off that’s going to save your life,” radiation safety expert Andy Karam told Inside Edition
“After an explosion, there’s gonna be fallout and that fallout is gonna be intensely radioactive. If you’re outside, that can kill you.” If you can get inside and put 20 to 30 feet between you and the fallout, that distance will save your life. He demonstrated to Inside Edition that if you run to the basement of a building and get as close to the center, as far away from the exterior walls and roof as possible, you may have a shot.

Defiant North Korea Preparing Next Nuclear Test
MAY 9, 2017
North Korea’s ambassador to the UK has told Sky News his country will go ahead with its sixth nuclear test at the time and place of its leader’s choosing. In his first interview in the role, ambassador Choe Il said his country would continue its ballistic missile and nuclear programmes in spite of intentional warnings against them, and dismissed UN sanctions as having no legal grounds, and no effect.
“In regards to the sixth nuclear test, I do not know the scheduled time for it, as I am here in the UK, not in my home country,” Mr Choe said. “However, I can say that the nuclear test will be conducted at the place and time as decided by our supreme leader, Kim Jong-Un.” Sky News asked the ambassador whether he was concerned about the prospect of US military action, which President Donald Trump’s administration has said is one of the options now being considered.

Russia Reveals Nuclear Warheads, Monster Military Vehicles and 10,000 Troops!
MAY 9, 2017
Vladimir Putin was today staging a monster military parade showcasing Russia’s huge firepower and hailing as heroes his troops who have seen service in Syria. The annual Red Square march and fly-past marks the defeat of Hitler in World War Two. But the strongman was using it today to showcase Russia’s modern military might, with one senior military commander saying it would make foreign foes “salivate”.
A debut Victory Day march was scheduled for schoolchildren in Russia’s new “Yunarmia”, a 30,000-strong militarized patriotic movement nicknamed the Putin Youth Army as established by the Defence Ministry. The Russian president was personally taking the salute at the parade involving 10,001 troops, 114 units of military equipment and 72 aircraft.

US and Israel to Conduct Joint Air Force Drill Over Arava Desert
MAY 11, 2017
Israeli and American air force pilots will participate in a joint exercise this week over the Arava desert, north of Eilat. Several U.S. Air Force F-15 fighter jets have already arrived in Israel to participate in the drill, which will take place at the Israeli Air Force’s Ovda air base. Ovda is home to the Flying Dragon Squadron, also known as the Red Squadron, which acts as enemy aircraft during combat simulations. The squadron is comprised of F-16 fighter jets and Bell AH-1 Cobra attack helicopters.
“An international exercise in cooperation with the American air force will begin in the coming days,” the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said. “The exercise is based on the annual training plan.” This week’s exercise is a precursor to a significantly larger air force drill scheduled for November, dubbed “Blue Flag.” During Blue Flag, Israel will host combat pilots and support crews from seven countries—the U.S., Greece, Poland, France, Germany, India and Italy—for the largest and most complex air exercise in the Jewish state’s history.

China May Shut Down Bridge to North Korea
MAY 11, 2017
China is looking into shutting down a major bridge that connects the Chinese city of Dandong to North Korea. A Chinese diplomatic source who spoke to Radio Free Asia anonymously said the symbolic Sino-Korean Friendship Bridge that spans the Yalu River might be closed as part of sanctions. “As China becomes more guarded in its North Korea policy,
there is speculation the steel rail bridge will be temporarily shut down,” the source said. A second Chinese diplomatic source said a review of the bridge closure is ongoing, following expanded financial and trade sanctions. “It is both a warning to North Korea against possible nuclear testing and a response that comes after North Korea mobilized its state media to denounce China,” the source said.

RUMORS OF WAR: North Korean Defector War is Now ‘Unavoidable’
MAY 11, 2017
A North Korean defector has called on President Donald Trump to help topple Kim Jong-un‘s regime by force. Song Byeok, who worked as a propaganda artist before fleeing the brutal regime in 2002, told Mail Online that he believes conflict with the dictator is ‘unavoidable’. But Mr Song, who now lives in South Korea, said that war on the Peninsula is a price worth paying in order to being peace and stability back to his home country. With an ‘armada’ of US warships parked
on North Korea’s doorstep, Mr Song called on America and other world leaders ‘to make a change so the North Korea people can be free.’ Mr Song said the Kim regime will never give up power without a fight because officials are fearful of what people will do once they find out they have been lied to their entire lives. But he said that the internet is already changing some people’s perceptions inside the isolated nation, and making them realise that the world outside North Korea is not as bad as they have been told.

DEVELOPING: China Amasses Anti-Warship Missiles as WW3 tensions Continue
MAY 11, 2017
China has built an arsenal of new anti-ship missiles amid continuing World War 3 fears, satellite images of a military base has revealed. Sino-US tensions over disputed territory in the South China Sea, along with sabre-rattling from North Korea which is mostly backed by China, have seen tensions in the region rise dramatically recently. The situation has also been
enflamed by US President Donald Trump sending the aircraft carrier the Carl Vinson, along with an armada of warships to the region to undergo military drills in the area. Images of the Yulin naval base, located on Hainan Island of the hotly disputed islands off southern China close to Vietnam, now appear to show Beijing has stock-piled a range of land-base missile launchers that have the capability of reaching and knocking out the US military vessels.

N.K Ambassador Warns ‘If the U.S. Moves an Inch’ North Korea Will Strike
MAY 10, 2017
In his first-ever interview with the British media, North Korea’s new ambassador to the United Kingdom waited no time to ratchet up the pressure in his country’s high stakes game of “nuclear chicken” with the United States and President Donald Trump. In an exclusive interview with Sky News—the UK’s equivalent of Fox News Channel—Ambassador Choe Il said dictator Kim Jong-un was not afraid to continue its nuclear weapons and ballistic missile testing programs. He completely dismissed sanctions against his country as “baseless” and “illegal.”
Asked about the threat of pre-emptive action by the U.S., he issued his own threat: “We are developing our nuclear strength to respond to that kind of attack by the U.S. If the U.S. attacks us, our military and people are fully ready to respond to any kind of attack. “The U.S. cannot attack us first. If the U.S. moves an inch, then we are ready to turn to ashes any available strategic assets of the US.”

Turkish President Working to End ‘Judaization’ of Jerusalem
MAY 9, 2017
Hours after launching a scathing attack on Israel, calling on Muslims to flood the Temple Mount in protest at the “occupation” of Jerusalem, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan discussed ways to halt the so-called “judaization” of Jerusalem with Palestinian Authority Prime Minister Rami Hamdallah. Meeting with Hamdallah in Istanbul Monday night, Erdogan “confirmed the necessity of unifying efforts to protect Jerusalem against attempts of judaization,” according to an official statement carried by the Palestinian Ma’an news agency.

On Monday evening, Erdogan drew swift Israeli rebuke for a speech in which he called Israel “racist and discriminatory,” and said Muslims should visit Jerusalem’s flashpoint Temple Mount more often to support Palestinians. “Each day that Jerusalem is under occupation is an insult to us,” he said, at the opening ceremony of the International Forum on al-Quds Waqf in Istanbul, Turkey’s Hurriyet news reported.

North Korea Warns of ‘Invincible Army’ and will turn America into a “Sea of Fire”
MAY 8, 2017
North Korea has claimed it has an invincible army and has warned it is waiting for an order to wage what it calls a final sacred war. The strike, the state says, will turn into a sea of fire and destroy what it described as bluffing US imperialists. The comments were made in Friday’s Rodong Sinmun newspaper, which is the official media outlet for the Central Committee of the Workers’ Party of Korea, led by Kim Jong-Un.
The article, translated by KNCA Watch, told its North Korean readers the country’s army was an ‘invincible army equipped with powerful strike means and ever-victorious tactics. It held a special mention for Donald Trump’s administration, saying, ‘the US imperialists are trying hard to attain its purpose through military threat and blackmail while brandishing all sorts of strategic and tactical weapons of demonstrative and threatening nature’. ‘But it is nothing but a bluffing of the mentally weak and a last-ditch effort of those with miserable end at hand,’ it added.

Expert Warns North Korea Prepping EMP Weapon Aimed At U.S. Homefront
MAY 8, 2017
While the international community and news media focus on North Korean missile tests and the country’s nuclear program, one expert warned on Sunday that North Korea may be secretly assembling the capability to take out significant parts of the U.S. homeland via an electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack. Dr. Peter Vincent Pry is executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security and is the chief of staff of the Congressional EMP Commission. Speaking
on this reporter’s talk radio program, Pry pointed to two North Korean satellites that are currently orbiting the U.S. at trajectories he says are optimized for a surprised EMP attack. “Aaron Klein Investigative Radio” is broadcast on terrestrial radio on New York’s AM 970 The Answer and NewsTalk 990 AM in Philadelphia and online.Pry was referring to the KMS 3-2 and KMS-4 earth observation satellites launched by North Korea in April 2012 and February 2016 respectively.

Russia puts Europe on alert as Putin’s warships enter waters after US destroyer swoops
MAY 8, 2017
Three Russian warships have challenged Nato by entering Latvia’s exclusive economic zone in the Baltic Sea, according to armed forces officials in Riga. The corvettes – Liven 551, Serpukhov 603 and Morshansk 824 – were detected only four nautical miles from Latvian territorial waters. It was the latest in a series of moves by Vladimir Putin’s naval forces seen as testing the response of the small Baltic state, a NATO and EU member.

The move on Sunday was linked today to the arrival in the Baltic Sea of US warship, USS Carney, with cruise missiles on board. The three Russian vessels had been deployed to St Petersburg ahead of the country’s annual war commemoration on 9 May, known as Victory Day. But they suddenly left again for deployment in the Baltic, according to news agency Fontanko.ru

Ominous Iran-North Korea Report Emerges Just Days After Pastor’s Warning
MAY 8, 2017
A concerning news report emerged just days after Pastor Greg Laurie, founder of the popular Harvest Crusades and senior pastor of Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside and Irvine, California, posted a video about end-times theology and his fears surrounding a potential relationship between North Korea and Iran. Fox News reported on Friday that the Pentagon has further evidence to bolster the long-held theory that Iran and North Korea — two dangerous, unpredictable U.S. enemies — are working together on their missile programs. In fact, an Iranian attempt to launch a cruise missile last week was purportedly based on the design of a North Korean missile that was used against South Korea in 2010.
And that’s just one of the many connections between the two rogue nations. “The very first missiles we saw in Iran were simply copies of North Korean missiles,” Jeffrey Lewis, a missile expert at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in Monterey, California, told Fox News. “Over the years, we’ve seen photographs of North Korean and Iranian officials in each other’s countries, and we’ve seen all kinds of common hardware.”

North Korea Arrests Christian Professor; Fourth US Citizen Held as Crisis Between Nations Escalates
MAY 9, 2017
North Korea has reportedly arrested a U.S. citizen and professor from the Pyongyang University of Science and Technology who has identified himself as a Christian. He is now the fourth American held by Kim Jong-un’s regime. The state-run KCNA news agency said Kim Hak-song was detained on May 6, becoming the second U.S. citizen arrested from the evangelical-funded PUST, and the fourth American to currently be held.
North Korean officials said that they were conducting a “detailed investigation” of Kim Hak-song’s alleged crimes and gave no further details, though Reuters cited online posts from the professor, who identified himself as a Christian missionary. Korean-American Tony Kim, who also goes by his Korean name Kim Sang-duk and is in his 50s, was the first to be arrested last month from PUST. The charges against him have also not been made clear.

North Korea threatens to Nuke the White House (Again)
MAY 7, 2017
North Korea has threatened to nuke the White House and reduce it to ashes as Kim Jong-un’s regime bragged the days of the US are now “over”. In a punchy editorial published by the state media agency KNCA, Pyongyang slammed President Donald Trump’s decision to dispatch its naval fleet to the Korean Peninsula. And it went on to vow it will be victorious
over an enemy made up of “murderous ogres”, “robbers”, “air pirates” and “warriors who master the occult arts”, reports the Express. North Korea’s military commander said the White House would be “reduced to ashes”, as the editorial claimed the US was planning to destroy Pyongyang. The editorial read: “This is a stern warning to the US imperialists and their stooges running amuck for aggression and war moves. “The world will clearly witness how the crime-woven history of the US imperialists will be over,

Another US citizen detained in North Korea
MAY 7, 2017
North Korea has detained a US citizen on suspicion of acts against the Pyongyang regime, the state-run Korean Central News Agency reported Sunday. A State Department official told CNN the US is “aware of reports” that an American citizen was detained. The regime described Kim Hak-song as “a man who was doing business in relation to the operation of
Pyongyang University of Science and Technology.” KCNA said the American was detained Saturday, but did not release more details on his alleged crime. “The relevant authority is currently carrying out a detailed investigation into the crime of Kim Hak-song,” the state-run news agency said. The State Department official said the security of US citizens is one of the department’s top priorities.

RUMORS OF WAR: China Must Be Prepared to Topple Kim Jong-Un or America Will!
MAY 8, 2017
China must be prepared to destabilize North Korea and unseat Kim Jong-un – or face the consequences of American intervention, a former US foreign policy chief has claimed. Condoleezza Rice, who served as Secretary of State during George W. Bush’s administration, claimed China were too concerned about causing the “collapse” of dictator Kim Jong-un.
Ms Rice claimed Beijing must be prepared for “instability on their border” as the US will intervene if the People’s Republic of China do not. She added that “in order to deal with” the warmongering North’s strides towards a nuclear missile capable of striking the US “you have to change the Chinese calculus”. Ms Rice said: “I think that’s what the administration’s trying to do.

Speculations on Biblical End Times Rise Amid Nuclear War Fears and Natural Disasters
MAY 7, 2017
With the likelihood of a major military conflict—if not a nuclear World War 3—involving North Korea and the United States looming larger by the day, speculations about the biblical end times appear to be mounting once again. Further stoking the fire, the U.S. House of Representatives overwhelmingly voted Thursday to impose new sanctions on North Korea amid heightened tensions over that pariah nation’s nuclear and ballistic missile programs, according to Fox News.
The same news outlet reported that Pentagon officials are seeing more evidence of a North Korean military connection with Iran, another country that poses a security challenge to the U.S. Early this week, PRRI, a well-known public polling firm, circulated a press release underscoring some of its past findings on Americans’ end times views, Faithwire reported. Although the findings were gathered more than four years ago, PRRI’s Research Director Dan Cox told the news outlet this week that those views haven’t changed all that much.

US-led coalition warplanes banned from Syria safe zones
MAY 5, 2017
The four safe zones to be established in Syria will be closed for flights by US-led coalition warplanes, said the Russian envoy to the Astana peace talks, where the zones were agreed upon. “As for [the coalition] actions in the de-escalation zones, starting from now those zones are closed for their flights,” Aleksandr Levrentyev told journalists in the Kazakh capital. He added that the flight ban was not part of the memorandum establishing the safe zones, but assured the coalition would not fly over them.
“As guarantors we will be tracking all actions in that direction,” he remarked. “Absolutely no flights, especially by the international coalition, are allowed. With or without prior notification. The issue is closed.” He added that the US-led coalition would continue airstrikes near Raqqa, the Syrian stronghold of Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), near some towns near the Euphrates River and close to the city of Deir ez-Zor.

Kim Jong-Un Accuses US and South Korea Of Assassination Attempt
MAY 5, 2017
North Korea on Friday accused the U.S. and South Korean spy agencies of an unsuccessful assassination attempt on leader Kim Jong Un involving bio-chemical weapons. In a statement carried on state media, North Korea’s Ministry of State Security said it will “ferret out and mercilessly destroy” the “terrorists” in the CIA and South Korean intelligence agency for targeting its supreme leadership. North Korea frequently lambasts the United States and South Korea, but its
accusation Friday was unusual in its detail. The ministry said the spy agencies in June 2014 “ideologically corrupted and bribed” a North Korean citizen who had been working in Russia to carry out the alleged assassination on Kim after returning home. It said South Korean agents gave $20,000 and satellite communication equipment to the North Korean to attack Kim during a public event with a bio-chemical weapon, such as a “radioactive” and “nano poisonous” substance.

Senior Russian Senator Blasts US Plans to Enforce N. Korea Sanctions on Foreign Territory, Calls it a “Declaration of War”
MAY 5, 2017
A senior Russian senator says the American bill allowing the US Navy to enforce international sanctions on North Korea through the control of Russian ports is a violation of international law, and is equal to a declaration of war. “The realization of this [US] bill includes a proposed force scenario in which the US Navy would conduct compulsory inspections of all ships. Such a scenario is simply unthinkable because it means a declaration of war,” RIA Novosti quoted
upper house Committee for International Relations head Konstantin Kosachev as saying. The comment came shortly after the US Congress approved the bill with additional sanctions against North Korea, allowing for the possible establishment of US control over seaports and sea routes in the Far East, including the Russian ports of Vanino, Nakhodka and Vladivostok. The bill also expands the powers of the president of the United States to impose sanctions against individuals who violate certain UN Security Council resolutions.

Mystery Russian Plane Spotted at SFO
MAY 5, 2017
Departing SFO last week, I peered out my window at a rare site: a gigantic Russian Antonov An-124 cargo jet parked across the runways from airport terminals. I thought it was a one-time event, but I began hearing more about it from TravelSkills readers who have seen one or two of the behemoths over the last two weeks at SFO. I reached out to airport officials at SFO to inquire about the planes, but only received vague replies: “Yes, we’ve had these Antonov An-124 cargo
aircraft making semi-regular appearances over the past week, at times having two here simultaneously. None are here now, but the next one comes in tonight.” When I asked why they are here, what they are transporting and where they are going, the airport said, “They’re coming from various locations, all for the same Bay Area company. I don’t have details on who…” I’ve seen Antonovs at SFO before, but it’s been a very rare occurrence. What’s new now is that there are so many at SFO – sometimes two a day.

Russia, Turkey and Iran sign deal to set up Syria safe zones…
MAY 5, 2017
Russia, Iran and Turkey on Thursday signed an agreement to set up four safe zones in Syria that the United Nations described as a promising step to wind down the brutal six-year war. The United States however gave an extremely cautious welcome, citing Iran’s role as a guarantor even as it expressed hope that the deal could set the stage for a settlement. Several members of the rebel delegation left the room shouting in protest as the signing ceremony got underway in the Kazakh capital Astana, angry at regime ally Iran, an AFP reporter saw.
The plan for the “de-escalation zones” was discussed on Tuesday by US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin during a telephone conversation that the White House described as a “very good one.” The agreement provides for a ceasefire, a ban on all flights, rapid deliveries of humanitarian aid to the designated areas and the return of refugees.

Huge UFO with flashing lights Seen above France, China and Australia
MAY 4, 2017
UFO experts believe glowing objects spotted in the sky above France, China and Australia could be a huge spaceship. Footage recorded in France, possibly near Paris, shows bright lights in the sky and a “cigar-shaped” flashing object. Tyler, speaking on Secureteam10 , a channel reporting sightings and unusual activity in space, claims these “mind[blowing” lights are UFOs. In the intriguing footage,
he said a very similar UFO had been spotted years before. A reported UFO sighting back in 2010 over an airport in China, prompted it to temporarily shut down. A previous ABC news report claimed the strange sighting caused the Xiaoshan Airport to “stop operations” on July 7 that year. The news report says that outbound flights were grounded after an ” unidentified flying object ” was detected.

BREAKING NEWS Air Force intercepts Russian bombers, fighter jets off Alaska
MAY 4, 2017
Two Russian Bear bombers — escorted for the first time by a pair of Su-35 “Flanker” fighter jets — entered Alaska’s Air Defense Zone early Thursday morning, U.S. officials told Fox News. The Russian formation was intercepted by a pair of U.S. Air Force F-22 stealth fighter jets that were already flying a patrol about 50 miles southwest of Chariot, Alaska.

It was the first time the U.S. Air Force has seen advanced Russian Su-35 fighter jets escort Russian Cold War-era bombers near Alaska. The Russian fighter jets were unarmed and remained in international airspace, officials said. Late last month, Russian bombers flew near Alaska over four consecutive days for the first time since 2014.

Iran attempts missile launch from submarine
MAY 3, 2017
Iran attempted to launch a cruise missile from a submarine in the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday but the test failed, two U.S. officials told Fox News. An Iranian Yono-class “midget” submarine conducted the missile launch. North Korea and Iran are the only two countries in the world that operate this type of submarine.
In February, Iran claimed to have successfully tested a submarine-launched missile. It was not immediately clear if Tuesday’s test was the first time Iran had attempted to launch a missile underwater from a submarine. This incident comes on the heels of other recent provocations from Iran. In April, the U.S. Navy’s guided-missile destoryer fired a warning flare after an Iranian Revolutionary Guard vessel came within 1,000 meters of the USS Mahan.

US and South Korean Warships Team Up in Pacific For Possible Confrontation With Kim Jong-Un
MAY 3, 2017
This is the moment US Navy warships teamed up with their South Korean counterparts in the Pacific to steam towards a confrontation with Kim Jong-un. This video footage was released tonight just hours after North Korea vowed to put US military bases in Japan “under radioactive clouds” if war breaks out. South Korea revealed last month that it was in talks with Washington about holding joint drills with the
USS Carl Vinson aircraft carrier strike group as it approaches waters off the Korean peninsula. There have been growing fears that maniac leader Kim Jong-un could conduct another nuclear test in the region ‘any day’. In the ongoing war of rhetoric, North Korea accused the United States today of pushing the Korean peninsula to the brink of nuclear war after a pair of strategic US bombers flew training drills with the South Korean and Japanese air forces in another show of strength. China clamps down on online news with new security rules…America Next?
MAY 3, 2017
China is tightening rules for online news as censors try to control a flood of information spread through instant-messaging apps, blogs and other media sources that are proliferating across the country. The rules announced Tuesday will require online publishers to obtain government licenses and block foreign or private companies from investing in online news services or directly disseminating news.
Chinese news outlets will have to undergo a security review before working with foreign companies, according to a statement from the Cyberspace Administration of China, the agency charged with enforcing the rules, which take effect June 1. The move follows a crackdown on dissent under Communist Party leader Xi Jinping that has led to tighter controls on what can be published online.

US Commandos Set to Counter North Korean Nuclear Sites
MAY 3, 2017
U.S. special operations forces are set to conduct operations against North Korean nuclear, missile, and other weapons of mass destruction sites in any future conflict, the commander of Special Operations Command told Congress Tuesday. Army Gen. Raymond A. Thomas stated in testimony to a House subcommittee that Army, Navy, and Air Force
commandos are based both permanently and in rotations on the Korean peninsula in case conflict breaks out. The special operations training and preparation is a warfighting priority, Thomas said in prepared testimony. There are currently around 8,000 special operations troops deployed in more than 80 countries.

North Korea vows to put US military bases in Japan “under radioactive clouds”, threatens another Hiroshima
MAY 3, 2017
North Korea has vowed to put US military bases in Japan “under radioactive clouds” if war breaks out. Kim Jong-un ‘s regime issued the chilling warning and reminded Japan of the horrors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki during World War II. The threat comes as Japan debates whether to change its anti-war constitution as fears of a conflict between the US and North Korea increase. The warning of a nuclear strike against the US bases in Japan appeared in the North Korean state newspaper Rodong Sinmun. It said: “In case of a nuclear war on the peninsula,
Japan – that houses logistic bases, launching bases and sortie bases of the US forces – will be put under radioactive clouds before any country. “If Japan is truly concerned about its interests, it has to make due efforts for the peaceful settlement of the Korean peninsula issue. “As the first country in the world that suffered A-bomb disaster, Japan knows better than others how terrible the nuclear disaster is. “The Japanese authorities should behave with discretion, clearly understanding that it is Japan which will be affected most once a war breaks out on the peninsula.”

North Korea may use nukes to influence US to abandon South
MAY 3, 2017
North Korea’s nuclear weapons development could be used as “blackmail” to influence the U.S. to abandon its ally in South Korea in order to make it easier for Pyongyang to overtake its archrival, a White House official said Tuesday. Matt Pottinger, the Asia director on President Trump’s National Security Council, said there might be some truth to the idea that North Korea wants a nuclear deterrent to protect its communist regime, but the country’s robust conventional military has worked as a deterrent for decades.
“They have made no secret in conversations they have had with former American officials, for example, and others that they want to use these weapons as an instrument of blackmail to achieve other goals, even including perhaps coercive reunification of the Korean Peninsula one day,” Pottinger said at a conference in Washington. Pottinger said North Korea also wants the U.S. “to leave the peninsula and abandon our alliances.”

Satellite images reveal North Korea poised to test submarine missiles capable of striking US
MAY 2, 2017
Satellite images show that North Korea is preparing to trial a deadly new arsenal of submarines which could be capable of launching nuclear missiles towards the US. The pictures show a new barge in the Nampo Naval shipyard in the west of the secretive state similar to another in the east of the country which has been involved in recent rocket tests. Website 38North, which monitors military activity in the communist country,
claims the newly-installed barge could be an indication that North Korea is planning to “accelerate its SLBM test program.” Long-range ballistic missiles (ISBMs), and their submarine-housed counterparts (SLBMs), are rockets which can carry nuclear bombs and would be capable of striking the west coast of the US including cities such as Los Angeles and Seattle. The 68ft barge was most likely bought from abroad and not built in North Korea, reports 38North.

Japan would be engulfed in radioactive clouds if nuclear war broke out, an editorial piece in Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of North Korea‘s ruling Workers’ Party said. In the

DEVELOPING: China urges citizens in N. Korea to return home out of concern of war
MAY 3, 2017
The Chinese Embassy in North Korea has advised Korean-Chinese residents to return home amid concern that the North’s military provocations may trigger a U.S. attack on the North, according to a source. The embassy began sending the message on Apr. 20, five days before the North celebrated the 85th anniversary of the Korean People’s Army with a show of military power, Radio Free Asia said Tuesday.
The U.S.-based station specializes in North Korea. The station cited a Korean-Chinese living in the North’s capital, who said he left for China late last month after the embassy contacted him. He said he has been visiting China every two to three months but, after being told he should “stay in China for a while,” left North Korea a month early.

North Korea threatens the ‘final doom of the US’ after Trump sends supersonic nuclear bombers over the Korean peninsula
MAY 2, 2017
North Korea has said it is ready for a “total war” threatening the “final doom of the US” as Donald Trump continues to stage military drills with South Korea. North Korean leader Kim Jong-un has vowed to accelerate its nuclear weapons programme to “maximum pace” and test a nuclear device “at any time”, as tensions rise around the Korean peninsula.
The North’s official KCNA news agency said on Tuesday: “The reckless military provocation is pushing the situation on the Korean peninsula closer to the brink of nuclear war. “Any military provocation against the DPRK will precisely mean a total war which will lead to the final doom of the US.” It comes as the US military announced its controversial Thaad missile defence system is now operational in South Korea.

RUMORS OF WAR: Israeli strikes raise stakes in face-off with Hezbollah
MAY 2, 2017
Two Israeli air strikes against Hezbollah targets in Syria in recent weeks seem to mark a more openly assertive stance toward the group after years of shadow boxing, requiring careful calibration to avoid escalation into a war that neither wants. For most of the six-year-long conflict in Syria, Israel has stuck determinedly to the sidelines, not wanting to get sucked into the chaos unfolding to its northeast.
While it is suspected of carrying out occasional attacks against minor targets, it has tended not to confirm or deny involvement. But it is determined to stop Lebanon’s Hezbollah, with which it fought a 2006 war, and which it sees as the top strategic threat on its borders, from using its role in the Syrian war to gain weapons and experience that could ultimately endanger Israel.

DEVELOPING: US B-1 Bombers Spotted Over Korean Peninsula
MAY 3, 2017
US Air Force B-1 bombers have conducted four presence missions in the Indo-Asia-Pacific region since April 1 and flown near the Korean Peninsula twice in the past two weeks — a move that has drawn sharp criticism from North Korea amid rising tensions in the region.
On Monday, two US B-1 bombers departed Andersen Air Force base in Guam and conducted a joint drill with South Korea and Japan’s air forces over the Korean Peninsula, according to the US Air Force. Separately, two B-1 bombers also flew over South Korea in late April, according to a US defense official. Bombers also flew near Australia on April 17 and close to the South China Sea on April 11, the official told CNN.

Hawaii Unprepared For North Korea Attack
MAY 2, 2017
Kailua, a beach community on the Hawaiian island of Oahu, has everything that residents and visitors could want from a tropical paradise: exquisite beaches, crystal clear water and modern amenities. No wonder it now boasts nearly 55,000 residents and thousands of yearly tourists, including the Obamas. But one thing this paradise doesn’t have is an adequate number of fallout shelters – there are only three with enough room for 235 people — in case North Korea launches an intercontinental ballistic missile or nuclear attack.
The state’s emergency fallout shelter plan, not updated since the Cold War, includes a Salvation Army store, categorized as a “safe zone.” That plan is not exactly common knowledge. One of the store managers didn’t even realize the building is on the 1985 fallout shelter list and said the so-called safe area in the basement is packed with donated items. The fallout shelter at Territorial Savings Bank, in the middle of Kailua, holds just 35 people.

US deploys Global Hawk high-altitude drone to Japanese air base ‘to monitor N. Korea’
MAY 2, 2017
The US has sent a high-altitude surveillance RQ-4 Global Hawk drone to Japan, marking the beginning of a five-month deployment. It is expected to monitor moves made by North Korea, according to Japanese media. The drone landed at Yokota Air Base in western Tokyo on Monday night, after flying from Andersen Air Force Base in Guam, the Japan Times reported.
According to Japanese Defense Ministry officials, the drone can capture aerial images and electronic data from an altitude of around 50,000 feet (15,240 meters) or higher. It will be remotely controlled from Yokota during takeoff and landing. Once it reaches a sufficient altitude, it will be controlled from the US mainland.

US Air Force to Conduct 2nd Missile Test amid Rising North Korea Tensions
MAY 1, 2017
As tensions continue to rise with North Korea, the U.S. Air Force is set to conduct another long-range missile test on Wednesday. The new launch, which follows a similar test last week, comes in the wake of a series of provocative actions by the communist regime. The operational test launch by the Air Force Global Strike Command is set between 12:01 a.m. and 6:01 a.m. PDT from Vandenberg Air Force Base.
“We have been working closely with the 576th Flight Test Squadron over the past 10 months to prepare for this mission,” said Col. Chris Moss, Vandenberg 30th Space Wing commander who is in charge of the launch. “Team Vandenberg is poised and ready to execute this important launch.” The purpose of the test is to validate the effectiveness, readiness and accuracy of the weapon system.

DEVELOPING: Trump Could Soon Have Meeting With Kim Jong-Un
MAY 1, 2017
President Trump said in an interview Monday that he “absolutely” would meet with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un under the right circumstances. “If it would be appropriate for me to meet with him, I would absolutely, I would be honored to do it,” Trump told Bloomberg News, adding: “If it’s under the, again, under the right circumstances. But I would do that.” The comments come as he and his advisers grapple with how to rein in the North Korea threat
Trump has declined to take military action off the table, but has been urging China to pressure Pyongyang into changing its behavior — as Congress moves on a separate front to apply new sanctions. Tensions with North Korea have escalated dramatically in recent weeks as American and other intelligence agencies have suggested the country was readying for a possible nuclear test.

Russia reportedly planting deep-sea ‘mole nukes’ near US capable of causing Tsunami
MAY 1, 2017
A former Russian colonel and defense ministry spokesman claims Putin is burying ‘sleeper’ nukes off the coast of America. Viktor Baranetz said that in the event of a war, the bombs would be detonated and cause a tsunami that would wipe out much of the coastal US. Baranetz admitted there is no way for Russia to outspend America on defense, so the military is forced to go to extreme lengths to make sure they come out on top.
Other moves designed to outfox the US are nuclear missiles which can be steered in the air, meaning their trajectory cannot be calculated, he claimed. Baranetz made the astonishing claims in an interview with Russian paper Komsomolskaya Pravda which was translated by MEMRI. He said Russia is focused on developing an ‘asymmetrical response’ to America, ensuring both countries would be destroyed in the event of an attack by either. He said: ‘Our asymmetrical response is nuclear warheads that can modify their course and height so that no computer can calculate their trajectory.

THAAD Missile Defense System in South Korea Ready For Potential Conflict.
MAY 1, 2017
The U.S. military’s THAAD missile defense system in South Korea has reached an initial operating capability to defend against North Korean missiles, U.S. officials said on Monday, forging ahead with the system despite staunch objections from China. Beijing has opposed activation of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), arguing the system’s radar could be used to spy into its territory, despite assurances from Washington that THAAD is purely defensive.
The United States is looking for China to use its influence with Pyongyang to rein in its advancing nuclear and missile programs, and it is unclear how Beijing will react to the development. U.S. President Donald Trump has said a “major, major conflict” with North Korea is possible, and THAAD’s activation adds another layer of complexity to escalating tensions. DEVELOPING: China May Be Preparing Citizens for Nuclear Emergency
MAY 1, 2017
A Chinese town near the border with North Korea is “urgently” recruiting Korean-Chinese interpreters, stirring speculation that China is bracing for an emergency situation involving its nuclear-armed neighbor. The Oriental Daily, a Hong Kong-based news outlet published the story on Apr. 27, including a photo of a Chinese government document ordering the town of
Dandong to recruit an unspecified number of Korean-Chinese interpreters to work at 10 departments in the town, including border security, public security, trade, customs and quarantine. The document did not specify the reason behind the unusual, large-scale recruiting. But experts and local citizens said the move indicated that China was bracing for a possible military clash between the United States and North Korea.

North Korea has promised to bolster its nuclear arsenal “at the maximum pace,” while blaming America for bringing the region to a brink of a nuclear war with “aggressive” joint US-S. Korea drills. On Monday, North Korea’s Foreign Ministry branded the US “the chieftain of aggression and war, and harasser of peace who is escalating tension.” While the confrontation “between the DPRK and the US has lasted for more than half a century… the US aggression hysteria has
never reached such a height and the situation on the Korean peninsula has never inched close to the brink of nuclear war as in the period of the recent drills,” a spokesman for the country’s Foreign Ministry said, as quoted by official North Korean news agency KCNA. “Now that the US is kicking up the overall racket for sanctions and pressure against the DPRK, pursuant to its new DPRK policy called ‘maximum pressure and engagement,’ the DPRK will speed up at the maximum pace the measure for bolstering its nuclear deterrence,” the statement reads.

BREAKING NEWS: North Korea Warns of Next Nuclear Test ‘At Any Time’
MAY 1, 2017
North Korea warned Monday that it will carry out a nuclear test “at any time and at any location” set by its leadership, in the latest rhetoric to fuel jitters in the region. Tensions on the Korean peninsula have been running high for weeks, with signs that the North might be preparing a long-range missile launch or a sixth nuclear test — and with Washington refusing to rule out a military strike in response.

A spokesman for the North’s foreign ministry said Pyongyang was “fully ready to respond to any option taken by the US”. The regime will continue bolstering its “preemptive nuclear attack” capabilities unless Washington scrapped its hostile policies, he said in a statement carried by the state-run KCNA news agency. “The DPRK’s measures for bolstering the nuclear force to the maximum will be taken in a consecutive and successive way at any moment and any place decided by its supreme leadership,”

State Dept issues Travel Alert amid terrorism threats ‘throughout Europe’
MAY 1, 2017
The US State Department is warning Americans that traveling to Europe risks being caught in a terrorist attack. The ‘Travel Alert’ is set to remain in place for the next four months. An official statement referred to recent attacks by Islamic State (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL) and Al Qaeda, as well as their affiliates, against France, Russia, Sweden and the United
Kingdom. Further terrorist attacks may be carried out, even as “local governments continue counter-terrorism operations,” the State Department said. “US citizens should always be alert to the possibility that terrorist sympathizers or self-radicalized extremists may conduct attacks with little or no warning,” the statement added.

Ongoing Earthquake Swarm Continues In Skagway, Alaska

MAY 1, 2017
An ongoing swarm of earthquakes, with the largest quakes measuring M6.3, M6.2 and M5.2, is currently rattling near Skagway, Alaska. The two earthquake >M6.0 are the strongest to be felt in Southeast Alaska since a magnitude 7.5 earthquake centered west of Craig on Jan. 4, 2013. No reports of damages and no tsunami threat. A series of strong quakes is currently hitting the Canadian-Alaskan border. Shaking was felt across hundreds of miles, from Petersburg to the center of the Yukon.
In downtown Whitehorse, the shaking set off alarms in at least one business, and small landslides were also observed from that city’s clay cliffs. Power was briefly disrupted in Whitehorse as well. By email, Yakutat resident Don Bremner said he was awoken by the 4:30 a.m. quake, and the following event two hours later “felt as if you were getting a dizzy spell in slow motion!”

Joint US-S. Korea naval drills start in Sea of Japan amid tensions around Korean peninsula
APRIL 30, 2017
The US kicked off joint naval exercises with South Korea as the US aircraft carrier group led by the USS Carl Vinson entered the Sea of Japan through the Tsusima Strait. The war games got underway on the heels of North Korea’s unsuccessful missile launch. “South Korea and US strike forces began a drill in the East Sea from 6pm (09:00 GMT) today against the backdrop of the current security situation,” South Korean Navy officials announced, referring to the Sea of Japan, as cited by Yonhap news agency.

Apart from the USS Carl Vinson, the group also includes the USS Lake Champlain, a guided-missile cruiser, as well as two destroyers, the USS Michael Murphy and the USS Wayne E. Meyer. The drill, which is expected to last through next week, will focus on monitoring, tracing, and intercepting any intercontinental ballistic missiles that could be potentially launched by North Korea, Yonhap reports.

Bomb Shelters in the UK Mapped Out Amid Fears Of Coming War
APRIL 29, 2017
Fears of World War 3 are gripping the world at the moment, with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un squaring up to American President Donald Trump. Express.co.uk has mapped deep level shelters across the UK in the case of WW3. There are eight deep level shelters in the UK, and all of them are in London, far down underneath Underground stations. This is unlike nuclear shelters, which are dotted across the UK.
The eight are at Chancery Lane, Belsize Park, Camden Town, Goodge Street, Clapham North, Clapham Common, Clapham South and Stockwell. Built during World War II, two more were planned at St. Paul’s and Oval, but these were not completed. The buildings above St.Paul’s were not considered stable enough, and difficult ground conditions at Oval stopped building work there. Each shelter consists of a pair of parallel tunnels 5.05m in diameter and 370m long.

RUMORS OF WAR: North Korea says Trump has pushed peninsula to ‘brink of nuclear war’
APRIL 29, 2017
Nort Korea has warned it is “on the brink of nuclear war” with the US after Donald Trump ordered the deployment of new American weaponry to the region. It also labelled the US a “blackmailing gangster” which was holding it at “knifepoint” by imposing economic sanctions and supporting its enemies. Its warning comes as tensions between the two atomic powers
continue to escalateand tyrant Kim Jong-Un vows to continue with his nuclear missile tests. It has recently been claimed his tests could trigger a deadly volcanic eruption, and that the mad dictator has an army comprising 500,000 women soldiers ready to send to the frontline. Commentary published in the state-run news agency KCNA today claimed the US was to blame for the growing tensions.

North Korea Threatens Israel With “Merciless, Thousand-Fold Punishment”
APRIL 29, 2017
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman hurt the “dignity of the supreme leadership” of North Korea, state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Saturday. The comment was in reaction to Israeli remarks on how the Jewish State is affected by North Korean tension with the United States. In an interview with Hebrew news site Walla this week, the hawkish Liberman stated that North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un is a madman and that together with the leaders of
Iran and Syria was part of an “insane and radical” gang that was bent on undermining international stability.”The reckless remarks of the Israeli defense minister are sordid and wicked behavior and grave challenge to the DPRK [North Korea],” the North Korean statement read. The statement also claimed that Israel, while working with the US, was the Middle East’s only illegal owner of nuclear weapons.

FINAL WARNING? Trump Warns North Korea Not to Conduct Another Nuclear Test
MAY 1, 2017
President Trump is warning North Korea not to conduct another nuclear test, saying “we’ll see” if such a step would trigger a U.S. military response. Trump, in an interview aired Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation,” also said he believes China’s President Xi Jinping, with whom he met weeks ago in Florida, has been using Beijing’s leverage to restrain North Korea’s mercurial leader, Kim Jong Un. In the interview, Trump said neither he nor Xi would be happy if Kim were to conduct a nuclear test, which would be North Korea’s sixth.
There were some expectations earlier this month that the hermit kingdom might conduct such a test in connection with patriotic holiday observances. The test did not take place, but North Korea has continued with other actions the U.S. and its regional allies regard as provocations, including a failed test on Saturday of a mid-range ballistic missile. Kim’s government is known to be working to develop an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of striking the United States.

US warship approaches North Korea after another failed missile test
APRIL 29, 2017
A US warship is heading towards North Korea after Kim Jong Un carried out yet another failed missile launch. The USS Carl Vinson, US super aircraft carrier, was spotted sailing north offshore Nagasaki, Japan on Saturday local time, in a show of force after North Korea’s latest test-fire flop. A US official said the ballistic missile, thought to be a mid-range KN-17, was fired from a location in the South Pyeongan province in the early hours of Saturday morning local time. It
blew up over land before it ever reached its target of the Sea of Japan, landing around 22 miles from Pukchang airfield, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement. It flew for several minutes and reached a maximum height of 44 miles before it apparently failed. The launch comes just hours after the country announced it was ‘on the brink of nuclear war’ as the United States stages military drills with South Korea.

RUMORS OF WAR: Tokyo Closes Subway Over North Korea Fears…
APRIL 29, 2017
One of Tokyo’s major subways systems says it shut down all lines for 10 minutes early Saturday after receiving warning of a North Korean missile launch. Tokyo Metro official Hiroshi Takizawa says the temporary suspension affected 13,000 passengers. Service was halted on all nine lines at 6:07 a.m. It resumed at 6:17 a.m. after it was clear there was no threat to Japan.
Takizawa says it was the first time service had been stopped in response to a missile launch. Train service is generally suspended in Japan immediately after large earthquakes. Tokyo Metro decided earlier this month to stop for missile launch warnings as well.

French amphibious carrier visits Japan ahead of Pacific show of power
APRIL 29, 2017
As tension spikes on the Korean peninsula, a French amphibious assault carrier sailed into Japan’s naval base of Sasebo on Saturday ahead of drills that risk upsetting China, which faces U.S. pressure to rein in North Korea’s arms programs. The Mistral will lead exercises next month near Guam, along with forces from Japan, the United States and Britain, practicing amphibious landings around Tinian, an island about 2,500 km (1,553 miles) south of the Japanese capital of Tokyo. The drills, involving 700 troops,
were planned before Saturday’s test-firing of a ballistic missile by North Korea, in defiance of world pressure, in what would be its fourth successive unsuccessful missile test since March. Japan and the United States are worried by China’s efforts to extend its influence beyond its coastal waters and the South China Sea by acquiring power-projecting aircraft carriers, a concern shared by France, which controls several Pacific islands, including New Caledonia and French Polynesia.

Russia backs China’s call to stop N. Korea nuke tests in exchange for halt in US-S. Korea drills
APRIL 29, 2017
Russia has supported a Chinese initiative in the UNSC intended to stabilize the situation on the Korean peninsula. It calls on the North to refrain from missile and nuclear testing, while the US and South Korea should halt military drills in the area. “Members of the [UN] Security Council have unanimously called upon DPRK [Democratic People’s Republic of Korea] to stop missile and nuclear tests and to fulfil UNSC resolutions,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement
on Saturday following a United Nations Security Council (UNSC) session held in New York earlier on Friday. The UNSC called for a political and diplomatic solution to the nuclear crisis on the Korean Peninsula, the ministry added. “In this context, the Russian Federation supported a Chinese proposal for a ‘double suspension’ (Pyongyang is to stop missile and nuclear tests and the US and South Korean militaries are to halt drills near North Korea) as a starting point for political negotiations.”

Philippine President Claims N. Korea’s Kim “wants to end the world”
APRIL 29, 2017
Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte on Saturday urged the United States to show restraint after North Korea’s latest missile test and to avoid playing into the hands of leader Kim Jong Un, who “wants to end the world”. The notoriously blunt Duterte said the Southeast Asia region was extremely worried about tensions between the United States and North Korea, and said one misstep would be a “catastrophe” and Asia would be the first victim of a nuclear war.
The United States, Japan, South Korea and China, he said, were sparring with a man who was excited about the prospect of firing missiles. Duterte is current chairman of the Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) and was due to speak by telephone to U.S. President Donald Trump later on Saturday. He said he would urge Trump not to get into a confrontation with Kim.

Russia unveils new remote-controlled robot tank with 30mm automatic gun and six missiles
APRIL 29, 2017
The Russian army has been putting one of the world’s biggest military robots through its paces, acting as a further reminder of Russia’s increasing military strength. The Vikhr remote-controlled tank was being tested on a military testing ground at a classified location in Russia. The clips shows the unmanned tank traveling through a dusty path, navigating through stretches of water and then firing into the distance from its machine gun, all without a human in sight.
The huge machine is 6.7 metres (22 feet) long, stands 3.3 metres (10.8 feet) tall and weighs about 14.7 tonnes. The state-of-the-art robot features a 30 mm automatic gun and six anti-tank guided missiles. It can also be equipped with machine guns or a flamethrower. It is operated remotely by a driver who can see where it is going through a camera link up, as well as the wider picture via a drone.

APRIL 29, 2017
U.S. armored vehicles are deploying in areas in northern Syria along the tense border with Turkey, a few days after a Turkish airstrike that killed 20 U.S.-backed Kurdish fighters, a Syrian war monitor and Kurdish activists said Friday. Footage posted by Syrian activists online showed a convoy of U.S. armored vehicles driving on a rural road in the village of Darbasiyah, a few hundred meters from the Turkish border.
Clashes in the area were reported between Turkish and Kurdish forces Wednesday a day after the Turkish airstrike which also destroyed a Kurdish command headquarters. The Turkish airstrikes, which also wounded 18 members of the U.S.-backed People’s Protection Units, or YPG, in Syria were criticized by both the U.S. and Russia. Sec. Tillerson Warns UN Security Council: ‘Act Before North Korea Does’
APRIL 29, 2017
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called Friday for tougher sanctions — aimed mainly at China and other countries that continue to trade with North Korea — as a way to pressure Pyongyang to dismantle its nuclear program. Tillerson, who chaired a special meeting of the United Nations Security Council, said the U.S. prefers a diplomatic solution. However, he stressed the U.S. reserves the option of military action to counteract North Korean aggression if necessary.
“All options for responding to future provocations must remain on the table,” he said. “Diplomatic and financial levers of power will be backed up by willingness to counteract North Korean aggression with military action, if necessary.” It was a stern speech calling for united diplomatic and economic action — and ramping up the pressure on China, North Korea’s economic lifeline. Tillerson was slated to meet with the Chinese foreign minister later on Friday. “Our goal is not regime change,” Tillerson said, nor does the U.S. want to destabilize the region.

US threatens N. Korea with more sanctions and suspension of diplomatic talks
APRIL 28, 2017
US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, speaking before the UN Security Council, has threatened to suspend diplomatic relations and impose additional sanctions affecting third parties with North Korea unless Pyongyang abandons its nuclear weapons program. Secretary of State Tillerson said on Friday that for years North Korea has dictated the terms of its “dangerous course of action and it’s time for us to retake control of the situation.”
Tillerson said that for too long the international community has been reactive and the “policy of strategic patience is over, additional patience will only lead to a nuclear North Korea.” Tillerson said since 1995 the US has provided $1.3 billion in aid to North Korea, and the US looks forward to renewing its contributions, but that Pyongyang must dismantle its nuclear weapons program if it wants to achieve international respect. Tillerson said North Korea must take “concrete steps” towards dismantling nuclear weapons “before we can being talks.”

RUMORS OF WAR: North Korea Defiant! Is War Now ‘Imminent’?
APRIL 29, 2017
North Korea test-fired a ballistic missile in the early hours of Saturday morning, reports in South Korea said, amid rising military tensions with the US. The missile, launched from a region north of the capital, Pyongyang, appeared to have blown up a few seconds into flight, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency said. US officials said the missile did not leave North Korean territory and was probably a medium-range missile known as a KN-17. It was the second failed test of a
ballistic missile this month and came amid a flurry of rhetoric from North Korea warning of “imminent” war against the US. “North Korea fired an unidentified missile from a site in the vicinity of Bukchang in Pyeongannam-do (South Pyeongan Province) early this morning,” Yonhap reported, quoting a statement issued by South Korea’s military. “It is estimated to have failed.” Donald Trump, the US president, said that North Korea “disrespected the wishes of China” with the missile test. BREAKING NEWS: North Korea fires ballistic missile
APRIL 28, 2017
North Korea has launched a ballistic missile from an area north of the country’s capital, Pyongyang, South Korea’s Yonhap news agency reported, citing the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff. “North Korea fired an unidentified missile from a site in the vicinity of Bukchang in Pyeongannam-do (South Pyeongan Province) early this morning,” the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said in a statement, according to Yonhap.
The South Korean military are now analyzing the type of missile fired and flight distance of the projectile traveled. The reported launch comes amid rising tensions in the region and a US military buildup in response to the North Korean “nuclear threat.” It also comes just hours after US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson told the UN Security Council that the military option remains on the table for the US to curb Pyongyang’s nuclear program.

Kim Jong-Un ‘ready to send army of 500,000 women soldiers to the frontline’ if war erupts
APRIL 28, 2017
North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un is ready throw up to 500,000 women soldiers to the front line if war breaks out. Battalions of female soldiers took part in the nation’s biggest-ever live firing exercise to mark 55th anniversary of its military’s creation this week. There could be close to half a million women in the Korean People’s Army and Kim has told the forces they should be ready for war with South Korea. And the despot was mobbed by emotional female fighters when

he watched the firing displays from multiple rocket launcher systems during the competition late last year. “He organized this contest all of a sudden and guided it on the spot in order to estimate and confirm the combat capability of women gunners,” said the state-run Korean Central News Agency (KCNA). In the contest, Kim stressed the significance of training women soldiers for the “great war for national unification” and of preparing all gunners to be able to fight anywhere and any time, according to the KCNA.

US War Fleet Now Within ‘Strike Range’ of North Korea
APRIL 27, 2017
An “armada” of American warships – led by the nuclear aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson – is now within range of the Hermit Kingdom. Donald Trump sent the Carl Vinson, guided-missile cruiser USS Lake Champlain and guided-missile destroyers USS Michael Murphy and USS Wayne E Meyer to stop Kim Jong-un testing a new nuclear weapon or ballistic missile. The group is now in the Philippine Sea,
just east of the Japanese island of Okinawa – and is within “striking range” of North Korea. The navy fleet will continue north over the coming days. US Navy Admiral Harry Harris, the top US Pacific commander, said the group was standing by “in strike range and power projection range of North Korea if called upon to do that.” The fleet practiced for war with North Korea with a series of military drills yesterday.

North Korea Releases New Video Simulating Strike on White House

A North Korean propaganda outlet Thursday released an inflammatory video clip showing a simulated attack on the White House, declaring “the enemy to be destroyed is in our sights.” The video comes at a particularly tense time in relations between North Korea and the United States, with the Trump administration sending warships to the region in a show of force against Kim Jong Un’s regime.
Earlier this week, North Korea conducted large-scale artillery drills, showing off conventional weaponry that can easily reach the South Korean capital of Seoul, home to some 25 million people. President Trump, who has been urging China to apply pressure to North Korea and to act if Beijing doesn’t, convened congressional lawmakers Wednesday to brief them on the “very grave threat” posed by Pyongyang.

BREAKING NEWS: Military preparations ‘underway’ on North Korea
APRIL 26, 2017
President Trump is stepping up diplomatic and economic pressure on North Korea, and military preparations are “underway,” in the event such action is necessary, a senior administration official told reporters on Wednesday. But Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., told the media after a closed-door White House briefing on North Korea that “preemptive strike options were not presented” to the senators there. “The briefing showed
the thoroughness and the detail and the preparation and the work that’s going into making our military appropriately postured in the event that there is some unexpected development by North Korea, and our diplomatic effort,” Coons said. But, he said, “there was not specific conversation” about seeking congressional authorization for new sanctions or the use of force “or imminently needing any such authorization.” His comments came as he emerged from a briefing from top Trump national security aides in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building that is part of the White House complex.

North Korea Claims 5 million youth “combat ready” and will “annihilate” US with nuclear bombs
APRIL 26, 2017
North Korea‘s Youth League has vowed to use 5million children “equipped with nuclear bombs” to “mercilessly wipe out” the USA. A terrifying statement from the communist country’s Kimilsungist-Kimjongilist Youth League says its members will “wipe out the enemies” with “invincible nuclear force”. The organization also vows to “annihilate all aggressors and provokers on the Earth and display fireworks of the final victory”. The Youth League dates back to 1946 when it was founded by Kim Il-Sung, North Korea’s supreme leader and grandfather of present-day leader Kim Jong-un. Kim Jong-un remains chairman of the Youth
League and the organisation is tasked with encouraging children over 15 into production, construction and military service. The Youth League said it is “the will of the Korean youths to resolutely and mercilessly wipe out the US imperialists and south Korean puppet warmongers”.The statement added: “Upon hearing the news that the US imperialists and south Korean puppet group of traitors are making desperate efforts to hurt the dignity of the DPRK (Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,

U.S. Commander warns America may need need stronger defense against North Korea missiles
APRIL 26, 2017
The United States may need to strengthen its missile defenses, particularly in Hawaii, given the advancing threat from North Korea’s missile and nuclear weapons programs, the top U.S. commander in the Pacific told Congress on Wednesday. Just hours before the entire U.S. Senate was due to receive a top-level briefing on North Korea at the White House, Admiral Harry Harris testified that he believed Pyongyang’s threats against the United States needed to be taken seriously. Harris said the defenses of Hawaii were sufficient for now but could one day be overwhelmed, and suggested studying stationing new radar there as well as interceptors to knock out any incoming North Korean missiles.
“I don’t share your confidence that North Korea is not going to attack either South Korea, or Japan, or the United States … once they have the capability,” Harris told a lawmaker at one point. Asked about defenses of the continental United States, Harris deferred to other commanders but said: “I do believe that the numbers could be improved. In other words, we need more interceptors.” The testimony was the latest sobering reminder of growing U.S. alarm about North Korean capabilities. President Donald Trump has signaled willingness to use force, if needed, should diplomatic efforts fail to constrain Pyongyang.

Concerns grow regarding North Korean’s miniaturized nuclear weapons and submarine-launched ballistic missiles
APRIL 26, 2017
With all 100 U.S. senators invited to a rare briefing on White House grounds Wednesday on North Korea, it’s hard to overstate how concerned officials are about the technological advancements out of Pyongyang. While North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un has a reputation for bizarre behavior, the nuclear arsenal and aspirations of the Republic are being taken seriously. North Korea has conducted five nuclear tests in the past 11 years, the last several being the most destructive –
and now they are threatening a sixth. North Korea’s official Rodong Sinmun newspaper also said in a front-page editorial that its military is prepared “to bring to closure the history of U.S. scheming and nuclear blackmail.” The editorial said, “There is no limit to the strike power of the People’s Army armed with our style of cutting-edge military equipment including various precision and miniaturized nuclear weapons and submarine-launched ballistic missiles.” It is that miniaturized nuclear weapon that is the biggest concern to the United States, and the rest of the world.

DEVELOPING: US Preparing to ‘EVACUATE 230,000 Americans from South Korea’
APRIL 26, 2017
Donald Trump has demanded the evacuation of US citizens from South Korea as part of a drill named Courageous Channel, military sources have revealed. The operation, set to take place in June, will prepare for the safe exit of around 230,000 Americans in the case of conflict. If the Pyongyang was to attack, tens of thousands of American civilians, including military dependents residing in and around the capital city of Seoul, could very well be caught in the crossfire.A major dilemma for the US is how to keep these Americans safe and evacuate them in the event of hostilities. Seoul is just 35 miles from the border, well within
range of more than 12,000 North Korean artillery guns that they have already positioned to strike from dug-in and well-camouflaged positions.According to reports, the reclusive state would activate sleeper agents in the South to direct missile and artillery fire. It is estimated that the North has the capability to fire, using rocket-assisted projectiles, 500,000 rounds of both mortar ammunition and chemical weapons on Seoul in just the first hour of war.

US missile shield aims to cover sudden nuclear strike against Russia
APRIL 27, 2017
The United States is pursuing global strategic domination through developing anti-ballistic missile systems capable of a sudden disarming strike against Russia and China, according to the deputy head of operations of the Russian General Staff. There is an obvious link between Washington’s prompt global strike initiative, which seeks capability to engage “any targets anywhere in the world within one hour of the decision,” and the deployment of missile launch systems in Europe and aboard naval vessels across the globe, Lt. Gen.
Viktor Poznikhir said at a news briefing on Wednesday. “The presence of US missile defense bases in Europe, missile defense vessels in seas and oceans close to Russia creates a powerful covert strike component for conducting a sudden nuclear missile strike against the Russian Federation,” Poznikhir explained. While the US keeps claiming that its missile defenses are seeking to mitigate threats from rogue states, the results of computer simulations confirm that the Pentagon’s installations are directed against Russia and China, according to Poznikhir.

FEDS Begin Nuclear Response Drills at MetLife Stadium in Northern New Jersey.
APRIL 26, 2017
Federal authorities are running nuclear response drills at MetLife Stadium in northern New Jersey. Homeland Security and FEMA are conducting Operation Gotham Shield. The purpose is to practice how to assess, treat and evacuate victims during a potential nuclear attack in the New York City area. The drills simulate a scenario in which a 10,000 ton improvised nuclear device goes off on the New Jersey side of the
Lincoln Tunnel. MetLife Stadium is serving as the primary response center during the multi-day drills. The stadium is in East Rutherford, about 15 minutes outside of Manhattan. The New Jersey and New York emergency management organizations are also taking part. The exercise is part of several that are taking place along the Northeast Corridor. Other drills are taking place in Washington, D.C. and Albany.

North Korea Prepares For War With ‘Largest Ever’ Live-Fire Artillery Drills
APRIL 26, 2017
Kim Jong-Un’s army readied for war as they fired rockets and torpedoes at mock enemy warships during North Korea‘s ‘largest ever’ live-fire artillery drills on Tuesday. Hundreds of tanks were lined up along the eastern coastal town of Wonsan in a show of military strength to celebrate 85 years since the North Korean army was created. Kim saluted the military as he watched the exercises on Tuesday, which involved the firing of more than 300 large-calibre artillery pieces and included submarine torpedo-attacks. Just one day later, South Korea conducted joint military live-fire drills with the US at Seungjin fire training field in
Pocheon, South Korea, near the border with North Korea. And in a defiant bit of timing, South Korea have announced that key parts of a contentious US missile defense system have been installed. The South’s trumpeting of progress in setting up the Terminal High-Altitude Area Defense system, or THAAD, comes as high-powered US military assets converge on the Korean Peninsula and as a combative North Korea signals possible nuclear and missile testing. On the same day, a US guided-missile submarine docked in South Korea.

BREAKING NEWS: US test-fires ICBM traveling 4,000 miles to South Pacific
APRIL 26, 2017
The U.S. Air Force test-fired an intercontinental ballistic missile which traveled over 4,000 miles before splashing down in the South Pacific after launching early Wednesday from a base in California. The nuclear-capable missile was unarmed, according to the Air Force, and comes amid increasing tensions on the Korean Peninsula. The Minuteman III missile blasted off at 12:03 a.m. Wednesday from Vandenberg Air Force Base, 130 miles northwest of Los Angeles. The test was long-planned, according to defense officials. When asked about the timing of the test amid the threats surrounding North Korea, one official told Fox News, VIDELO
“If we had canceled the launch, that would be a story too.” The U.S. Air Force has 450 Minuteman III intercontinental ballistic missiles in underground silos across three bases in Wyoming, North Dakota and Montana. This number will be reduced to 400 in the coming years, according to a senior U.S. military official. The U.S. military also maintains a fleet of long range B-2 and B-52 bombers capable of delivering nuclear weapons as well as a fleet of ballistic missile submarines. Air Force fighter jets can carry smaller tactical nuclear weapons as well.

US and South Korea conduct powerful military drills amid rising tensions with North Korea

APRIL 26, 2017
The US and South Korean militaries have taken part in a combined firing drill as part of joint exercises amid increased tensions with Pyongyang. It comes just one day after the North launched its own artillery drill. More than 2,000 South Korean and American troops were involved in the Wednesday drills in Pocheon, South Korea, according to Yonhap news agency. The war games took place at Seungjin Fire Training Field, some 30km south of the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) dividing the two Koreas. The exercises, which lasted 45 minutes, included some 100 artillery pieces, 90 armored vehicles and 50 aircraft, according to South
Korea’s Ministry of Defense. Footage from the scene shows trails of color streaked across the sky as fighter jets showcase their force, as well as firing tanks, huge clouds of smoke, and soldiers dropping out of helicopters. The exercises also included two AH-64E Apache Guardian attack helicopters from the South Korean Army, which fired aerial rockets and ammunitions from chain guns at mock targets, according to Yonhap.

UPDATE: US to launch Minuteman III ICBM As Warning to North Korea
APRIL 26, 2017
An unarmed intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) will be launched from a US Air Force base in California Wednesday to ensure its “effectiveness, readiness and accuracy,” and demonstrate “national nuclear capabilities,” according to the US military. The Minuteman III missile test comes amid rising tensions on the Korean Peninsula, with a carrier strike group led by the ‘USS Carl Vinson’ approaching North Korean waters. However, a spokeswoman for the Air Force Global Strike Command says the test was planned in advance and is not connected with the situation in North Korea, and the launches happen on regular basis,
according to the Washington Examiner. The launch is scheduled on Wednesday between 12:01am to 6:01am (07:01GMT to 13:01GMT) from North Vandenberg Air Force Base, according to the 30th Space Wing, which is conducting the test. “These Minuteman launches are essential to verify the status of our national nuclear force and to demonstrate our national nuclear capabilities,” the commander of the unit, Colonel John Moss, said in a statement. The test launch is aimed at validating and verifying “the effectiveness, readiness, and accuracy of the weapon system,” according to the Air Force Global Strike Command.

US Navy fires warning flare at Iran vessel…
APRIL 26, 2017
A U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer fired a warning flare toward an Iranian Revolutionary Guard vessel coming near it in the Persian Gulf, an American official said on Wednesday, the latest tense naval encounter between the two countries. The incident happened Monday as the vessel attempted to draw closer to the USS Mahan despite the destroyer trying to turn away from it, said Lt. Ian McConnaughey, a spokesman for the Bahrain-based 5th Fleet.

The “Mahan made several attempts to contact the Iranian vessel by bridge-to-bridge radio, issuing warning messages and twice sounding the internationally recognized danger signal of five short blasts with the ship’s whistle, as well as deploying a flare to determine the Iranian vessel’s intentions,” McConnaughey said in a statement to The Associated Press. The Iranian vessel came within 1,000 meters (1,100 yards) of the Mahan during the incident, the lieutenant said. The vessel later turned and sailed away.
