Dear praying friends
Sorry its been few weeks since I wrote to you and updated you about Doug. The days are up and down and lately Doug is quite poorly. He finds eating and drinking a real problem and so he has lost lots of weight. He would love to eat, but finds the digestion hard. He is weak physically but he is expectant and trusting in the Lord in the midst of this hard trial.
We are thankful to the Lord, that Doug is not as much in pain as more in discomfort.

Yesterday we went to RM hospital for an appointment, and they discharged him and will set up some special care for Doug through Princess Alice care trust and he will be under our local doctor (GP). It will be put into action if and when Doug will need it.

We are taking day at a time and we know the Lord is with us even at the moment we do not see answers of prayers. But He is our Rock and shelter and present help in this time of testing! Our lives are in His mighty hands! He is our only hope.

Thank you for standing and faithfully praying for us and all our family.

LATEST UPDATE ON DOUG HARRIS:
Dear praying family!

Well here we go again! We would like to ask you for prayer for Doug tomorrow afternoon.. He should have the stents put in , one of the reasons is to stop bleeding in the blood vessels,( as the bleeding coming out of the drainage today) They are not sure how long the procedure will last...it could be an hour or more??? They are happy with Doug's responds to the antibiotics and with the stents put in, being all well, they hope Doug will soon be going home. It means he will not have external tubes /drainage.

Please do pray that the operation will be successful

They will find and deal with the bleeding vessels

And that Doug will know the help of the Lord to go through another procedure!

And that he will recover quickly without complications

UPDATE ON DOUG HARRIS FROM HIS WIFE NOEMI HARRIS (thanks so much for your prayers):

Dear Friends,

So many things happened in just few days and the situation is changing all the time. One minute things go well and next minute it all ch...ange..

The op of embolization... cutting off the blood supply to the part of the liver went well, but about serious infections set in . After the op next day Doug started to get high fever. The staff dealt with it very quickly, finding through the blood tests exactly which infection and from where.... That they can treat it .
On the end wed. evening Doug has been taken to the high dependency unit. He has a serious infection which they are trying to control. They have brought him to the unit as a precautionary measure as they would not be able to do all the things they need to on the ward that he was on.
After we left him on wed eve (Joel and Debs were with me) his temperature went to 41, thankfully when coming in around 2am we were told it has come down to 37.Since then they found out another 2 infections and then they did change antibiotics few time, To treat each infection effectively.

Doug is getting electrolytes and fluids and is on oxygen and all that is going into him is monitored and it will show what it is doing to the other organs.
It was such a relieve to see him stabilizing.

He is having CT scan of liver and lungs today (11.1.13). They are concern about his lungs that he will not get infection there.

It was lovely to see him yesterday back to his sense of humour and joking with the Doctors and nurses. All the nurses are missing him from the other ward!,

I think Doug is amazing how he copes with it all, , and even last few days when he is tide down with all the tubes, he is doing so great.

I am sure its all answer of prayers and the Lord upholding him with His arms and carrying him through.( Like the rest of our family too!!)
As I mentioned to some of you, it seems like we are in the storm..... , but the Lord is the Lord of this storm!Please do continue to pray. The battle is on... but the Lord has won the battle! Lord is so faithful and being our shelter Ps.91

Also we want to thank you from all our families Joel, Suzanne, and the girls, Debs and Mark, Luke and Jessica who we are in constant contact, for all your support to us all.

UPDATE:-Dear viewers Thank you to so many of you who have contacted us about Doug Harris, following our email concerning his being in hospital and a tumor having been found near his liver. Doug remains in hospital and his medical team are due to meet on Tuesday and decide what in their view is the right thing to do with Doug. As a staff team we are meeting together at 4.00 pm on Monday to pray for Doug.
We would love you to join us in prayer at that time where-ever you are. Then as a leadership we have decided to fast and pray on the Tuesday and Wednesday. It would be such an encouragement to Doug and his family if you also could commit to that.
What should you pray?
1. For Doug's complete healing
2. For the tumor to shrink and disappear
3. For wisdom for the medical team as they meet on Tuesday
4. For the Lord's blessing to be with Doug and Noemi, and their children Joel, Luke and Debbie.

I received this in my email and ask please share. I think of Marmite you either love it or hate it and for anyone who have seen Doug It has got to be LOVE! Revelation TV run on a shoe string and Doug is a HUGE PART of keeping programmes going besides the wonderful volunteers (Without Pay) and some who donate to keep the programmes on air.
