What are we seeking?

Hebrews 11:39,40 And these all, having had witness borne to them through
their faith, received not the promise, God having provided some better
thing concerning us, that apart from us they should not be made perfect.

Yesterday I was preaching in a Church and had to give bitter medicine
message of the dangers of worldly riches or desires of this world.
Initially the response was not very good so much so that the Pastor had to
add a few words after I finished.

People do not like when they are asked to sacrifice their worldly desires
for things which they cannot see or understand fully.

Initially when I came to know the Lord I started sacrificing my worldly
life only because of my love for the Lord, but as I came to understand more
of His Kingdom then it made no sense to seek worldly desires. Seeking
worldly desires is like doing art on sand not knowing when it will be
destroyed to nothing.

Today’s message tells us that we are privileged to be those whom the Lord
has chosen, to not only see this vanity but also to be perfected in Him.

When we look at all the other people that exist in this world, who seek
vanity, we can only thank God for not being among them who are spiritually
blind. We can thank the Lord for seeing something in us so as to make us
complete and perfect us in Him.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Merciful God. Even when we were enemies of your
Kingdom You Father saw something in us so as to save us from vanity. You
Lord gave us an opportunity to have life that is in abundance and eternal.
We thank You Father for your mercies...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

James 1:10-11
10 But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the
grass he shall pass away.
11 For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth
the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of
it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.

flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

Who has ascended to Heaven?

1 Peter 3:22 Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God;
angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.

In India among Hindus when a person dies is addressed as ‘Swargiya’ which
translates as ‘Heavenly’, they never call a person as ‘Nargiya’ as in ‘Hell
dwelling’. That means all who die go to Heaven and Hell is empty. What is
funny further is that Hindus believe in Karma incarnation ‘Chakra’ (meaning
cycle) that means people who die come back transformed as another living
being ranging from insects, to animals, to birds or human beings depending
on the good works they did in their previous life time. Those who did
exceptional well (or fulfilled rituals) are given freedom from this karma
incarnation cycle and their spirit disintegrates into the universal
force/spirit (in other words spiritual death). So Heaven and Hell holds no
true standing in Hinduism, yet when a person dies we see they place the
body on the pyre in a specific direction before burning it so that the soul
goes to Heaven (at times via Hell)!

Catholicism also have a confused understanding of the various levels of
life existence by bringing in Purgatory a place where souls which do not go
to Hell but suffer punishment for those little sins so as to later enter
Heaven. Purgatory became a money spinner for the Catholic Church since they
ask Catholic to offer masses, offerings and paid prayers for the souls of
their departed ones so that they receive favor and get to enter Heaven.
Most of this coming from pagan Roman/Greek mythological believes.

Coming to Believers here too there is no clear understanding and every
Pastor or Preacher will have a varying understanding of the levels of
existence like Hell, Grave and Heaven(s). The Hebrew word for Heaven comes
from the root word which means ‘lofty’ or to be above. Bible uses both the
term Heaven and Heavens (meaning multiple levels).

Before like others I too believed ‘good’ Christians die and ascend to
Heaven. I later got confused when I read scriptures like Proverbs 30:4,
John 3:13 or Acts 2:34 (which speaks of David yet not ascended to Heaven!).
Now if David has not ascended how it is that others ascend to Heaven after
death? How are people getting ‘death and life’ experiences of Heaven and
Hell visitations?

Paul clearly says we ‘shall enter’ Heaven and ‘we will all stand before the
Judgment Throne on Judgment Day’ confirming what Jesus spoke in John
5:25-29 or Matthew 25:31-33, the same is also written in OT in many places.
Where most get confused is in understanding the 1000years of rule of Christ
which they think is an earthly rule where Christ will sit on an earthly
Throne ruling worldly countries.

What we generally call as Heaven are all the levels above us. It is almost
impossible to understand the various levels of existence from scriptures
unless the Lord reveals them. Paul too spoke about his vision which was so
real it got him confused, where he ascended to the top 3 levels of Heaven.
It is only when the Lord reveals the Heavens that one starts to see them
clearly in scriptures and thus understand the various beings of Heaven and
the glory of God. Also complicated scriptures like Elijah taken ‘up’ in a
chariot of fire and coming a John the Baptist becomes easy to understand.

Let us get our understanding proper for this is one of the points Paul
states as part of our foundation as Christians (Hebrews 6:1-2). One can
only be a confused Christian if one’s foundation is no strong.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. Your abode is the Upper Heavens although You are
omnipresent and there is no place where You are not present. Even in Hell
one cannot be away from You. Lord we pray people do not make You into a man
and the Heavens as earthly pleasure resorts like Muslims have done. We pray
we understand the Spirit world better for it is reality and our world just
a delusion awaiting its disintegration...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

Genesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host
of them.

Proverbs 30:4 Who hath ascended up into heaven, or descended? who hath
gathered the wind in his fists? who hath bound the waters in a garment? who
hath established all the ends of the earth? what [is] his name, and what
[is] his son’s name, if thou canst tell?

John 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down
from heaven, [even] the Son of man which is in heaven.

Acts 2:29 Men [and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the
patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with
us unto this day.

Acts 2:34 For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith
himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand,

Romans 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise,
Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring
Christ down [from above]Smile

Ephesians 4:9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended
first into the lower parts of the earth?

Ephesians 4:10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far
above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)

John 5:25-29
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when
the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall
26 For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to
have life in himself;
27 And hath given him authority to execute judgment also, because he is
the Son of man.
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are
in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection
of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation.

Matthew 25:31-33

Daniel 7:13-14

Revelation 20

Hebrews 6:1-2
1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on
unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead
works, and of faith toward God,
2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of
resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Playing the division game

Mark 14:70 And he denied it again. And a little after, they that stood by
said again to Peter, Surely thou art [one] of them: for thou art a
Galilaean, and thy speech agreeth [thereto].

Although we have almost all of the Bible perfectly preserved even though we
have lots of spelling or grammatical errors yet we have some scriptures
which are textual variants meaning vary in different manuscripts (in only
one place we find major addition that is in John 8:3-11 the story of
attempted stoning of an adulterous woman).

Today’s message has one such textual variant. The latter part of the
scripture ‘and thy speech agreeth [thereto]’ is found in some translation
and missing in others, it is because they refer to different sets of

A few days back (25th Feb) my message titled ‘Sin, Curse and Sickness’ I
had pointed out the approaches to study scriptural variants and confirm
what is authentic. If we use the same approach in today’s message we
confirm the reason why newer translations are omitting this latter part of
the verse.

A Galilean varied from other Jews by their traditions and not by their
speech. They had the same ascent or style of speaking. So we find a
deceptive mind that tried to create difference between Galilean and other
Jews in our understanding by adding these few words.

Today the Lord is telling us are we playing this evil game by creating
divisions between Christians because of their place of origin, color,
gender, their way of talking, their language or lifestyle?

Bible says all people are equal in the eyes of God and all are the same
irrespective of their race, color, gender, looks or upbringing. God is
Spirit and He looks at our spirit and its beauty, other things have
insignificant relevance.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Righteous and Loving Father. You Father are non-partial and
love all alike. You Lord see only the hearts of people and all worldly
factors are irrelevant to You. We pray Lord we too learn to be more like
You. We pray we do not differentiate between our brethren and fall victim
to the evil deceit...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 10:12 For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for
the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor
free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Who do you fellowship with?

1 Corinthians 2:6,7 We speak wisdom, however, among them that are
fullgrown: yet a wisdom not of this world, nor of the rulers of this world,
who are coming to nought: but we speak God’s wisdom in a mystery, [even]
the [wisdom] that hath been hidden, which God foreordained before the
worlds unto our glory:

In my initial days of coming to know Christ I used to run to any place
where I would get to understand the Word, any preaching or ministry. Slowly
as the Lord Himself started teaching me and building me, my problems
actually started. Previously I could talk to people about the Word of God
freely for I knew less and I was in receiving mode so there was no
conflict, or I knew that which they knew so we built each other like iron
sharpens iron (Antonym - we spoke and spoke but did not build anyone). But
when I started receiving revelation I found I used to spiritually shake
people up and at times harm them more than built them. So I started to
learn what to share and what not to (depending on their receiving capacity)..

Fellowship does not mean socializing. The Greek word comes from the root
meaning to partake and should be with a person with some common level of
spiritual maturity. With the state of understanding of the Bible being so
pitiful, as a Teacher it is very difficult for me to find someone to
fellowship with. I do fellowship with those with other Callings so as to be
built in that area. The last time I felt down spiritually I had to
‘withdraw in the groove’ for the Lord to nourish me.

Fellowshipping is key in one’s spiritual life, after study of the Word,
fellowshipping is most important and takes a place above prayers and even
‘breaking of bread’ (seeking forgiveness of sins). Our fellowship has to be
a chain format and is done with someone who is more mature than us. So one
gives but receives from another. We receive in the various areas which we
operate from and which we do not operate from (Callings) since we are
called to do all things in Christ although we may specialize in a specific
Calling. We are not called to vomit whatever we have within us but share as
much the opposite person can receive, keeping in mind we are to build one
another and not sharpen like iron does to iron (just make activity without
any uplifting).

[Prayer Starter]
Father God You alone are perfect, You alone are Holy God. Yet You Lord
fellowship with us so as to build us and make us more and more like You.
You Lord do not reveal everything in one go but give as much we can
receive. Lord help us to understand the importance of fellowshipping and
learn how to fellowship so that we edify each other...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 2:42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and
fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers:
for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what
communion hath light with darkness?

1 John 1:3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye
also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship [is] with the
Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

Following Christianity but not a Christian

Romans 9:31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath
not attained to the law of righteousness.

In today’s message we read Paul stating the Israelites who are called
‘God’s people’ did lots of things which were religious yet were far from
God. The traditions they did may seem to be as per what the Lord said but
when we study what the Bible (OT is what they followed) says we find a
great gap between their understanding of scriptures and what the scriptures

About a month back I saw foreign tourist couple looking for a cab. Since we
were going in the same direction I offered them a lift. On the way I came
to know the woman was a former Jew who now believed in Christ (as well as
other gods - she was inquiring with me about Hinduism). She knew Hebrew (to
some level since all Jews are required to study scriptures) so I asked her
a few things in the Bible as to how they did they not understand such
simple things and she did nothing but smile.

The Jews are a small population compared to other countries yet they are
known for their intelligence and have won more international awards than
most large nations. Yet when we see their understanding of scriptures, one
wonders how they could be such a foolish lot? Everyone talks of all the
enemies that surround them but do not realize their greatest enemy is
themselves, their intelligence which they use against God, to resist Him.

We Christians are not far from being a foolish lot for what we do, many
times is far from what the Word of God tells us to do. We think we know a
lot of scriptures but reality is we hardly follow it. This I do not state
only for the common congregation which only attend ‘Church’ but even those
who minister to them as Pastors and spiritual guides.

Yesterday we saw Bible says not to call any human a ‘spiritual father’ or
‘spiritual mother’ yet we see many including very famous Preachers state
XYZ person is/was their ‘spiritual father’. What is funny is these same
people point fingers at Catholics who call their Priest as ‘fathers’ not
seeing they too do the same mistake.

We can be Christians only if we follow Christ, that does not mean just the
NT but also the OT for it too is Word of the invisible Christ which the
Patriarchs followed.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Wonderful God who is full of Wisdom. We who are your children
seem to lack wisdom and therefore fall prey to vanity. Lord we pray we do
not rely on our worldly wisdom but pray and ask You for wisdom, a wisdom
that comes for You and reveals the Truth. We pray we do not be false
Christians (goats) but we true Christians (sheep) who will enter the Gates
of Heaven on Judgment Day and inherit that which You have set for us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 6:30-41, 47-60

Acts 7:51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always
resist the Holy Spirit: as your fathers did, so do ye.

Exodus 32:9 And Jehovah said unto Moses, I have seen this people, and,
behold, it is a stiffnecked people:

2 Chronicles 30:8 Now be ye not stiffnecked, as your fathers were; but
yield yourselves unto Jehovah, and enter into his sanctuary, which he hath
sanctified for ever, and serve Jehovah your God, that his fierce anger may
turn away from you.

Colossians 1:15 who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of
all creation;

Hebrews 11:24-27
24 By faith Moses, when he was grown up, refused to be called the son of
Pharaoh’s daughter;
25 choosing rather to be evil entreated with the people of God, than to
enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;
26 accounting the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of
Egypt: for he looked unto the recompense of reward.
27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he
endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

Spiritual Children
Hebrews 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I
and the children which God hath given me.
Yesterday I mentioned an OT Prophet (Nabi / Man of God – includes other
Callings) is a person who represents God to the people, he or she is a
spokesman/spokeswoman of God. The Priest on the other hand is a person who
represents the people to God. He or she performs the duties God has given
to the people and interacts on behalf of the people. Peter states each one
of us who are baptized in Christ and His Spirit are called to be Priest
which means we stand for the people before the Lord thus Believers do not
have human Priest over them for they themselves are Priests.
As Priest does it mean we represent all mankind? NO
Today’s message (Paul supposedly) speaks of ‘the children which God has
given’. So we all are given a harvest and are accountable for the harvest
given for they are our spiritual children. We are responsible for their
spiritual growth like we are responsible for our natural children. It is
not necessary our natural children will also be our spiritual children.
We see Believers mistakenly think Pastors are Priests, a title or a
Calling. The word Pastor is not an English word but is a Greek word
imported into English without translation. The word ‘Pastor’ means
‘shepherd’ and refers to anyone who ministers (spiritual matters). So
everyone who is in ministry is a Pastor. Every Pastor has spiritual
children but that does not make him or her a spiritual father or mother to
those whom he or she is ministering. Pastoring is a temporary assignment
and as Pastor one has to ultimately hand over the person to the Holy Spirit
like how Jesus did to the twelve He was accountable for (it was through the
twelve symbolizing twelve Fruits of the Spirit, He reached out to the whole
‘Spiritual father’ or ‘spiritual mother’ is not a biblical term but a pagan
term usually used by Catholics and mistakenly used by even Believers. In
the Catholic Church the ones called as ‘fathers’ are actually elders who
are given permission to do priestly duties by the Bishop who is the
official Priest. The Pope who is referred to as ‘holy father’ is also a
Bishop but being the Bishop of Rome which is a key place for the Catholic
Church is considered as chief over all other Bishops thus is selected by
the Cardinals who represent groups of Bishops.
Biblically Bishop is a Calling which Paul put as Administrator and means
‘overseer’. One can also be an Administrator as an Office that is why Paul
gave instructions to Timothy on how to select one who desires to be one.
This can be understood by understanding the fact that both gold and silver
vessels were considered holy in the OT Tabernacle.
We as Believer Church have let in lots of Catholic and Jewish Church
practices which the Lord referred to as Nicolaitian beliefs and which He
states as He hates. The word Nicolas means ‘conqueror / destroyer of the
Let us follow Biblical teaching with understanding and do all things
according to the Lord’s Kingdom.
[Prayer Starter]
Father God, You alone are God and You alone are Spiritual Father unto all.
Jesus said not to call any person a Spiritual Father other than You. Lord
we pray we understand we may be natural fathers yet are just spiritual
shepherds unto our children. We pray we do not try to take your place in
the lives of those whom we minister thereby spiritually destroying them...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a
people for [God’s] own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies
of him who called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:
1 Peter 2:25 For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto
the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.
Revelation 2:6, 14, 15
6 But this thou hast, that thou hatest the deeds of the Nicolaitans, which
I also hate.
14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that
hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumblingblock
before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to
commit fornication.
15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which
thing I hate.
Matthew 23:9 And call no man your father on the earth: for one is your
Father, [even] he who is in heaven.
Matthew 23:8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your [ultimate]
teacher, and all ye are brethren.

Casting of lots

Acts 1:26 And they gave forth their lots; and the lot fell upon Matthias;
and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

In the Bible when God did not speak directly or clearly through the
Prophets or Priest we see they chose mysterious ways to do things like
casting of lots. At times God Himself told them to cast lots.

As per Jewish tradition to fulfill Leviticus 16:8 the Priest had a vessel
which they call "Kalphi," set in the court, into which two lots, which were
made of wood, or stone, or metal, were put; the one had written on it, for
Jehovah, and on the other was written, "for the scapegoat"; the two goats
being, the one at the right hand of the priest, and the other at the left;
the priest shook the vessel, and with his two hands took out the two lots,
and laid the lots on the two goats; the right on that which was at his
right hand, and the left on that which was at his left; and so the goat
which had the lot put upon him, on which was written, "for the Lord," was
killed; and that which had the other lot, on which was written, for the
scapegoat, was presented alive;

Moses too used casting lots method to select the 70 the Lord told him to
out of the 72. Talmud [Jewish understanding of scriptures/law] state “Moses
took seventy two papers, and on seventy of them he wrote, זקן, "an elder";
and upon two, חלק, "a part"; and he chose six out of every tribe, and there
were seventy two; he said unto them, take your papers out of the vessel; he
into whose hand came up "an elder" (i.e. the paper on which it was so
written) he was sanctified (or set apart to the office); and he, in whose
hand came up "a part" (the paper that had that on it), to him he said, the
Lord does not delight in thee.”

In today’s world we would call this taking a toss. People would consider it
luck, but for a Christian who knows God is in control has no term called
‘luck’ for nothing happens by chance. Casting of lots were done prayerfully
keeping in mind ultimately God has the say.

Like the Prophets is considered a spokesperson of the Lord to the people
similarly the Priest [meaning minister] is considered a spokesperson of the
people to the Lord and thus makes offering and stands before the Lord on
behalf of the people. Part of the Priest’s dress was the Judgment
Breastplate which carried the two objects called Urim and the Thummim
meaning light (symbolizing truth) and perfection. So we see either of the
choice was not bad but both the choices were good in the eyes of the Lord.
What is important was the result was perfect according to the Lord.

Today the choice of Matthias was like the goat selected for Jehovah
(sacrificed in Leviticus) while Joseph named Barsabas was the ‘scapegoat’
(set free to live a public life). Today the Lord is telling us servicing
Him requires one to be the sacrificial goat, to sacrifice one’s personal
life completely for the Lord giving up all personal desires.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Living God who never sleeps or takes a
day off from caring for your people. Lord we pray know the importance of
serving You and the personal sacrifice required when we are called to

Righteous shall not fear

Psalms 112:8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, Until he see
[his desire] upon his adversaries. [ASV]

Today’s verse is from Psalms 112 which speaks of the righteous. When I read
today’s verse I could not agree with the translation I checked other
translations they too like the [ASV]. I found only [Message] translation a
little different

Psalms 112:8 Spirit firm, unperturbed, Ever blessed, relaxed among
enemies, [Message]

When I looked up the Hebrew word translated as until is the world
when/because of (while). So the scripture talks of the righteous being at
rest and not intimated by his or her enemy.

Let us ask ourselves are we people who get intimated and go into long
prayer and fasting when we behold the enemy or are we like the righteous
who are not disturbed, who will sing and worship the Lord even in problems.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Righteous Holy and Truth. You Lord desire we who are your
children also follow righteousness, holiness and seek the truth. Bible says
your eyes are on the righteous and your hand is over them. Today Lord You
remind us that those who seek righteousness need not fear looking at the
enemy for they know You are their shield and protection. May we Lord be
seekers of righteousness and never fall into intimidation of the enemy...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Psalms 112:6-8
6 For he shall never be moved; The righteous shall be had in everlasting
7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: His heart is fixed, trusting in
8 His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, Until he see [his
desire] upon his adversaries.

Luke 12:4-6
4 And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body,
and after that have no more that they can do.
5 But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he
hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.

forgotten before God?2:

and their shield

Right perception of scriptures

Philippians 1:7 Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all,
because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the
defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

Today’s message we read of Paul writing from prison to the Believers of
Philippi, a Roman colony in Macedonia. Here the apostle was directed by a
vision, to go and preach the Gospel; and which was succeeded, to the
conversion of Lydia, and the jailer, and their families; which laid the
foundation of a Gospel church in this place, to whom this epistle is
written. Like this epistle so also most of Paul’s epistles were written
from prison.

What is interesting is when people quote scriptures from Paul’s epistle and
show them in a different light without taking in account from what
situation Paul wrote it. So a scripture like ‘I can do all things in Christ
who enables me’ or ‘He became poor so that we would be rich’ take another
rendering when pictured of a man in bonds writing it, Paul did not talk of
worldly riches, of worldly prosperity or of doing well in society but of
overcoming struggle and of spiritual matters.

Some of the greatest heresy that is consuming ‘Christians’ and making them
into goats instead of sheep is idol worship (‘Man of God’ replacing God),
Penance, Prosperity Gospel... These are not restricted to the Jewish or
Catholic Church but also active in the Believer Churches. More and more
Believer Churches are infiltrated with these heretic teachings and beliefs.
If one analysis all TV Preachers minutely 99.5% of them do this. We cannot
blame them alone for misleading us since if we ourselves had taken the
trouble to study scriptures we would not fall prey to heresy. All want fast
food, junk food, short teachings that tell them what they know. I am
keeping this message very short so that they at least read this and repent,
brining change in their lives.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Spirit and your Kingdom is not of this
world. Lord we pray we get it into ourselves that we need to die to this
world and its desires to dwell in your Kingdom. We pray Lord we desire less
things of this world and seek more and more spiritual things that edify us
and those given unto us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me..

2 Corinthians 8:9 For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that,
though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his
poverty might be rich.

James 2:5 Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of
this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised
to them that love him?

Matthew 19:23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you,
That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom
were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be
delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

Luke 6:20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed
[be ye] poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

The Passover and Unleavened Bread

Mark 14:14,15 And wheresoever he shall go in, say ye to the goodman of the
house, The Master saith, Where is the guestchamber, where I shall eat the
passover with my disciples? And he will shew you a large upper room
furnished [and] prepared: there make ready for us.

The Passover of the OT as we all know was a shadow of the crucifixion of
Christ and His sacrifice(s) as the (Paschal) Lamb of God that saves the
World. The identifying of a lamb without blemish, keeping it under
observation for 5 days, on the fifth day evening at sunset sacrificing it
without breaking any of its bones and then applying the blood of the
Paschal Lamb on the outer side of the door post was all fulfilled in Jesus
Christ, also fulfilled was He becoming our peace sacrifice that was lifted
up on the next day of Sabbath by His resurrection on the third day.

In the OT the week after the Passover week was the Feast of the Unleavened
Bread. The unleavened bread is first mentioned in Genesis where Lots offers
it to his guests (the Angels who came as men). The very next mention of it
is to do with the Passover where the Paschal lamb is eaten with bitter
herbs and unleavened bread.

Leavened or yeast is a microscopic single cellular organism smaller than an
animal or plant cell so is neither of them and has their own
classification. Yeast is used in baking and brewing because they metabolize
simple sugar and release carbon dioxide and alcohol. It is the tiny pockets
of carbon dioxide which cause the dough to rise and the alcohol to make
grape juice into wine. Yeast symbolize worldly wisdom / understanding.
Worldly wisdom may seem good but in reality it breaks good things into
useless and intoxicating things. Leaven kept in the house (not only used)
was enough to put out of the community [loose inheritance].

God forbade yeast in all sacrifice concerning Him (spiritual) and allowed
in limited quantity only in one sacrifice that concerned (worldly) man. So
worldly wisdom and understanding (education) is not forbidden but simply
not to be used to understand the Kingdom of God.

During the time of exile of Israel in Babylon since they did not have the
privilege to celebrate long festivals they celebrated both the Passover
week and the Unleavened Bread week together. This custom continued during
the time of Jesus. Mark, Matthew and Luke being documenters or history
wrote of this in their Gospels as it was, while in the Gospel of John it is
written as per OT directive.

Jesus being the Paschal Lamb celebrated it with the start of the Passover
week before He was arrested. The bread that we break at the Lord’s Table is
supposed to be unleavened bread but as we do with the Word we do with the
bread; that is adding our worldly wisdom. The unleavened bread at the
Lord’s Table is called the ‘daily sacrifice’ since it symbolizes sacrifice
of guilt - forgiveness of sins committed unknowingly. It is for this reason
breaking it without dealing with known sins is mocking of the sacrifice and
can provoke the wrath of God.

The Catholic Church [little horn of Daniel] in 1200AD replaced the
unleavened bread with wafer and the Believer Church with leavened bread.
Some Churches use baked bread in oil (like Indian roti) instead of
unleavened bread. If we read OT there were four types of breads in the
basket kept before the Lord these were leavened bread, bread cooked with
oil, wafer and unleavened bread. So unleavened bread cannot be confused or
replaced by any of the other three breads.

Bible prophesied about the daily sacrifice been taken away for large period
and is fulfilled both in shadow with the Israelites and also with the new
Church of Christ [by the little horn]. Now the time has come for the daily
sacrifice to return and people to break unleavened bread instead of wafer,
leavened bread and bread baked in oil, not only in symbolism but also in
understanding knowing of its dangers if misused or abused.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Wonderful. You also are Merciful and full of
Wisdom. In your own wisdom You Lord commanded your people to follow
statutes so that the hidden may be exposed. Lord we pray we no longer
behave like foolish worldly people using worldly wisdom to things
concerning You and your Kingdom. We pray for your forgiveness and for
courage to do things with all understanding as per your command...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 19:3 And he pressed upon them greatly; and they turned in unto
him, and entered into his house; and he made them a feast, and did bake
unleavened bread, and they did eat.

Exodus 12:8 And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire,
and unleavened bread; [and] with bitter [herbs] they shall eat it.

Exodus 29:23 And one loaf of bread, and one cake of oiled bread, and one
wafer out of the basket of the unleavened bread that [is] before the LORD:

Daniel 8:9-14
9 And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding
great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant
10 And it waxed great, [even] to the host of heaven; and it cast down
[some] of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.
11 Yea, he magnified [himself] even to the prince of the host, and by him
the daily [sacrifice] was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was
cast down.
12 And an host was given [him] against the daily [sacrifice] by reason of
transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised,
and prospered.
13 Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that
certain [saint] which spake, How long [shall be] the vision [concerning]
the daily [sacrifice], and the transgression of desolation, to give both
the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?
14 And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then
shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

Words of this life

Acts 5:20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of
this life.

The book of Genesis is considered the start of the Bible even though the
book of Job is older than it. The reason is that Genesis starts with the
sentence ‘In the beginning God created the heaven and earth (does not speak
about the planet by nations – beings since nothing natural existed)’. It
takes into account God existed and that He created everything that exist.
We assume this sentence as generic and the term nations or beings speaks of
humans but that is not the true. Yesterday we were told by Paul scriptures
are specific and clear.

The second and third sentence is key to us and important to know our
mission. It speaks of nations being without form, about darkness existing
and God speaking of light to come to existence. If we take this sentence
literal then we are assuming, God who is light was existing in darkness.

Darkness is defined as obstruction of light. This darkness in verse 2
refers to the fall of Lucifer and of resisting the plans of God. So when
God created man the only thing that was bad or evil was Lucifer and his lot
since all things that God created He called them good. Thus when man ate of
the Tree of Good and Bad (Doubt) the bad / evil he wanted to know which
only God (Son) knew was Lucifer.

Bible says we are called to be the light and in the end after Lucifer, the
Beast and other fallen angels (the one third) are judged Bible records the
transformed man becoming part of the Heavenly Temple which is light itself
for it has no Sun of Moon.

Bible is all about when darkness came God created man to be the light in
the darkness and overcome the darkness. It is all about man who was created
lower than the Angels being lifted up and inheriting that which was lost by
the fallen ones. Although the Bible focuses on us yet it is not just about
us for the Angels too call themselves our ‘fellow servants’.. The Angels
although are mightier than us yet we are the main actors of this story of
light overcoming darkness.

In Ezekiel God declared to the king and prince of Tyrus (Dragon and Beast –
the two Cherubs) that it would be man who will crush their heads and be
their destruction. It is this knowledge that causes Satan (plural –
includes the fallen cherubs and angels) to hate man to their core.

Let us understand the importance of the Word of God which the Angels refer
to as Word of this life. Let us also understand our importance in this
battle of darkness and light, and how by the Word and Spirit of God we
overcome the darkness and become inheritors of Heavenly things hidden to
almost all.

[Prayer Starter]
Father God You are God and there is none like You. A part of You created
all things knowing that darkness would come to existence. You also created
man to become the light that overcomes this darkness and thus all things be
lifted to greater glory. You God are Life and everything the lives grows.
You God grow from glory to glory and we thank You for making us man who is
like mere insects to be part of your glory. We thank You Lord for this Word
of life...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Genesis 1:1-3

3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Genesis 2:15-17
15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to
dress it and to keep it.
16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden
thou mayest freely eat:
17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat
of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Genesis 3:4,5,14,15
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy

and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Ezekiel 28:6-10, 17-19

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the
world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the

the temple of it.

Hibernation in the brook

Titus 3:12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to
come unto me to Nicopolis: for I have determined there to winter.

These last few days as northern countries faced a cold wave with minus
temperatures hitting new records, we heard of crocodiles found frozen in
ice with their nostrils popping out of the ice. These animals were not dead
but in hibernation mode. They had allowed themselves to be literally frozen
(reduced their body temperature) but kept their nostrils out so that they
could breathe and remain alive.

Hibernation is a natural phenomenon God made for the survival of animals in
extreme cold climates. We know creation is made in an image of spiritual
things which are invisible to man.

In the OT we read when a person had leprosy (which was a skin disease and
skin symbolizing righteousness) the person was isolated from society until
the situation improved. We sadly do not learn these basic principles of
spiritual management of Men of God from the Bible. What we do is when a Man
of God is found struggling he or she is moved from one activity to another,
or from one place (Church) to another. Bible advises us when we have
spiritual issue like fighting with lusts, desires or spiritual productivity
we are called to draw back and hibernate in the brook (not literal place).
The Hebrew word for brook means to possess or inherit. It is a place of
receiving spiritually which freezing most natural activities.

When Elijah had fear filled in him and fled from the Queen Jezebel, the
Lord asked him to hide himself in the brook of Cherith for a period and
there the Lord provided him water from running streams (symbolizing
spiritual refreshment) to drink, He also provided him meat by ravens
(symbolizing wisdom that is worldly). It was this same fearful Elijah who
was rejuvenated and later openly challenged the prophets of Jezebel to a
spiritual duel.

Here we read Paul asking the help of Titus and sending persons to bring him
so that Titus could minister to him during a time when outdoor activity was

Let us know when to draw back and rejuvenate our spirits when things are
low or not going good for us. We should always know when to draw ourselves
to a brook and be refreshed by the Lord. We need not be newcomers but can
be people spiritually mature yet would need rejuvenation like Paul did in
today’s message. Let us not try to help God in His Kingdom’s work. He does
not need our help let us remember when we do His work [good deeds] we are
helping ourselves.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord do not desire a worldly sacrifice but
sacrifice of a heart that loves your law and seeks your glory. Lord we pray
we do not deceive ourselves with doing ‘Lord’s Work’ while seeking our own
glory. We pray we learn to spiritually hibernate in your brook and be
rejuvenated in spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Kings 17:1-6
1 And Elijah the Tishbite, [who was] of the inhabitants of Gilead, said
unto Ahab, [As] the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there
shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
2 And the word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
3 Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook
Cherith, that [is] before Jordan.
4 And it shall be, [that] thou shalt drink of the brook; and I have
commanded the ravens to feed thee there.
5 So he went and did according unto the word of the LORD: for he went and
dwelt by the brook Cherith, that [is] before Jordan.
6 And the ravens brought him bread and flesh in the morning, and bread and
flesh in the evening; and he drank of the brook.

2 Corinthians 8:23 Whether [any do enquire] of Titus, [he is] my partner
and fellowhelper concerning you: or our brethren [be enquired of, they are]
the messengers of the churches, [and] the glory of Christ.

2 Corinthians 7:6 Nevertheless God, that comforteth those that are cast
down, comforted us by the coming of Titus;

Church Ministry or Lord’s Ministry

John 12:43 For they loved the praise {approval} of men more than the praise
{approval} of God.

Just yesterday late evening I was discussing with a brother about the state
of our ministry (ministries). When I told him people are doing ‘Church’
Ministry and not the Lord’s Ministry, he immediately did not accept it. As
we further discussed he accepted the fact almost all are doing ‘Church’

In my many years in the Lord I thank God for giving me opportunity to
connect with many ministries, large and small, at various levels. This
experience allowed to have an insight of what really happens amongst them
and why these ministries are not fruitful.

The start of this year was like an alarm bell for me to wake up and
reorganize my personal spiritual life. I hope others too will wake up, stop
what they are doing and approach things in another way.

Yesterday the Lord spoke to us about good deeds and (worldly) righteous
deeds, how wary only by the intention of doing them even though many a
times the act may be identical. It is time we ask ourselves the root
question ‘Why am I in Ministry?’, if we say ‘to save souls for Christ’,
then let us ask ourselves how fruitful are we? If we are not seeing any
fruit then we need to pray and ask God for guidance.

Let us not fool ourselves by quoting unrelated scriptures like one sowed,
another watered and another harvest. They are all true, but they all saw
the harvest. Are we seeing any harvest?

It is so sad when we have events where lakhs attend and not a handful
become disciples for Christ, almost all become disciples of the preacher /
worship leader who is seeking the praise and glory of man.

Today’s message says about people who seeking praise / approval of man more
than seeking that of God. Are we amongst these or are we seeking the Lord
and His approval?

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God who is omnipresent as well omnipotent, all
knowing and merciful. It is only in your mercy You bear us and the nonsense
we do taking your name. Lord know You cherish your Name and will not let it
be blasphemed. We pray we wake up to what we are doing and look at its
fruitfulness. Let us not seek the praise of men but seek that of God...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 5:44 How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and
seek not the honour that [cometh] from God only?

phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments,

among men is abomination in the sight of God.

Parents Guardians accountability of children

Colossians 3:21 Fathers, provoke not your children [to anger], lest they be

In Hindu’s rituals during the marriage of the daughter the father does
‘kanyadan’ where the father gives away the daughter to the groom. In
‘Christian’ (Catholic but also followed by many Believers) marriages too we
see this tradition where the father escorts the daughter in the ‘church’
and hands her unto the groom. I read in yesterday’s newspaper an Indian
Hindu father refused to do kanyadan, he stated his daughter was not his
property to give away.

Bible says we were all created from the foundation of creation and that is
why God knows us since then. We are naturally born in the wombs of our
mother (only Eve was born out of Adam) but were given unto the loins of our
fathers before we were conceived. It is for this reason it is the father
who is blessed for the generations to receive blessings. Even though mother
has a great hand in molding of the natural character of a child yet it is
the father who is key for spiritual blessings and curses that flows unto
the children. It is also for this reason Jesus to be born without blemish
had to be born in the womb of a virgin and Mary being a sinner did not
affect the child. The mother’s blessings and curses (including hereditary
sicknesses) flows via the father unto the children when they come together
(mating is not just a natural coming together).

If we technically see Mary being the mother of Jesus was yet not His real
mother but just His surrogate mother, thus Jesus in anger addressed her as
‘woman’. Paul too wrote about this relationship in Hebrews and people
mistake Melchisedec as the one born without a father or mother and without

Once a person dies and resurrects on Judgment day he or she is a
transformed spirit being void of natural gender (like Angels who are called
Sons of God) and has no natural relationship with any earthly beings
although his or her testimony in Christ does continue to be upheld. So in
Heaven we will not be family to anyone but all will be only one family with
God as our Father.

Let us get it into us as earthly parents we are guardians to our children
and that too assigned by the Lord so we are answerable to Him about their
wellbeing like Pastors are for their congregation (whom they minister).
Although those to whom Pastors minister become their spiritual children yet
they do not spiritual fathers or mothers unto them (they substitute the
Lord and thus need to ultimately hand them over like Jesus did unto the
Holy Spirit). Spiritually we have only one father and that is our Heavenly
Father and we are brethren unto each other (no mother, sister, daughter or
any other relationship).

Today’s message is a warning not only to natural guardians but also to
spiritual guardians about bringing those in your custody to anger. The
problem is not the anger but the problem that when in anger the person
easily falls prey to sin. It is only by the mercy (grace) that we are kept
from sinning but this mercy cannot be taken for granted, the moment we fail
to hold that which is required to receive grace we will fall and sin.

When Jesus Himself as man gave account for those whom the Father gave Him,
how can we who minister think we will not be accountable for those whom we
minister? If Preachers understand this there will be less preaching and
more discipleships happening. There will more true Christians and less name
sake ‘Christians’.

[Prayer Starter]

No one is special in God’s Kingdom

Galatians 2:6 And from those who seemed to be influential (what they were
makes no difference to me; God shows no partiality) - those, I say, who
seemed influential added nothing to me.

There is always the notion that some of the anointed Preachers, Pastors and
those on stages are specially loved by the Lord. This is a big
misunderstanding. John the Apostle called himself as one ‘whom Jesus loved’
but never denied Jesus loved others too like Lazarus and his sisters, Mary
the Magdalene, John the Baptist, etc...

Let us understand each and every one who is in Christ or called to be in
Christ is loved as passionately by the God as any famous Preacher all are
equal in His eyes.

Today’s message is from the letter of Paul who declares that God shows no
partiality (God is not a respecter of man), He does not differentiate His
love from one man to another. He does give each one differently as
according to the plans He has for them (that depends on their heart state)
but given less or more before His eyes all are same. What is interesting is
as much the Father loved Jesus Christ the same love He has for us.

Today God is telling us He is not a human father, for Him you are very
precious and His love is as strong as it is for any other human that was,
is or will be including Abraham, Moses, David, Paul etc. so let us not be
saddened or lose heart by events of this world but cherish our God and His
love and let us not belittle any one in Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You God who are seated above in the Heavens look
at us mere man and love us so much even though we are unworthy of anything.
Lord we thank You for your love and the importance You give each one of

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 11:5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.

John 13:23 Now there was leaning on Jesus’ bosom one of his disciples,

I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in
my love.

Fulfilling Scriptures

John 19:34,35,36 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side,
and forthwith came there out blood and water. And he that saw [it] bare
record, and his record is true: and he knoweth that he saith true, that ye
might believe. For these things were done, that the scripture should be
fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken.

In the last few messages we saw that the things of the Kingdom of God are
hidden from man and even though scriptures speak of them yet man is unable
to understand them all because man’s heart is not right. God does not
reveal them to man immediately but gradually over generation as and when He
works on their hearts. If reveal to a hard heart it can destroy that soul.

In today’s message we see everything that Jesus did (or the Father did
through Him) including every act concerning His crucifixion was to fulfil
scriptures. What the Lord is telling us through these few days is that like
Jesus fulfilled scriptures we too fulfil scriptures, even if we like it,
try to or not.

The Bible speaks of victory and catastrophe, we can choose to be in victory
or we can choose to be in catastrophe. God will help us in both directions
and that is true.

The Hebrew word Barak is translated as bless as well as curse (trice in the
book of Job). In simple words it means quickening that path which we have
taken. If we walk towards the Lord the Lord will quicken our walk, we will
receive the goodness that is written, that which He has in store for us.
But if we reject the Lord, He will harden our hearts (further) and we will
see the disasters that written and the punishment due. He does not punish
us but we bring it on ourselves.

Backsliding is when we change direction from walking towards light to
walking towards darkness. We think only a few backslide but the truth is
most backslide and few do not. It is for this reason Jesus said even though
the gate of (to) Life is narrow yet of the many that find it only a few
walk through it.

Paul warned us of failing our salvation therefore advised to work our
salvation with fear and trembling. It is not our efforts (works of
righteousness) that gets us the salvation for it is only by grace we
receive it that is through faith. Our work is only about being on to path
and keeping the faith as and when it is tested (works of faith). Testing
increases and strengthens faith, it makes our walk more comfortable on the
long run. God does not test beyond the capacity He has given us to bear.

Salvation (entering Heaven) requires transformation and that is why Jesus
said only those who overcome will have access to the Tree / River of Life
(eternal life).

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Holy God. The Upper Heavens which are your abode is a place
where corrupt cannot dwell. Lord we pray that those who know You may
understand to be in You means to be in your Name, your Nature and that
requires transformation from inside. We pray we seek repentance, we seek
change within us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

the law as transgressors.
12 So speak ye, and so do, as they that shall be judged by the law of
13 For he shall have judgment without mercy, that hath shewed no mercy;
and mercy rejoiceth against judgment.
14 What [doth it] profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and
have not works [of faith]? can faith save him?

1 John 2:13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him [that is]
from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome
the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known
the Father.

Matthew 7:14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which
leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Romans 11:11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God
forbid: but [rather] through their fall salvation [is come] unto the
Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as
in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling.

Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom [are] all things, and by whom
[are] all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of
their salvation perfect through sufferings.

2 Timothy 2:10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that
they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal

Blinded for future sight

John 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they
should not see with [their] eyes, nor understand with [their] heart, and be
converted, and I should heal them.

There are times I share some great revelations of the Kingdom of God in my
messages, some of them which shocked me and got me to renew most of my
understanding of the Kingdom of God. I would be dazed at times for months
when the Lord revealed them. But when I share them with people I do not see
any reaction / effect in them, they fail to understand the depth of that
revelation. At times it is so disheartening that they respond with
excitement but later after a few days I see them confessing the contrary.
The teachings that have been drilled into them before is like a bad habit
that they fail to overcome.

In today’s message the Lord tells us at times He does not intervene in our
understanding of things of His Kingdom and lets us remain blind for a
period so that on a later date we may actually get us to see the truth.

Truth cannot take root into us unless our hearts are in good state, it is
for this reason repentance is key to our transformation into the Body of
Christ. It is according to the state of our hearts that the Lord reveals us
the treasures of His Kingdom.

People mistake gifting or anointing as a certificate of approval, they fail
to realize some of the most famous backsliders were very anointed
individuals starting with Lucifer himself, Balaam and even Judas... all
these were anointed. Judas was amongst the seventy who survived with
nothing when sent on mission by Jesus and did great miracles, returning
with great testimonies.

Let us seek truth and not anointing or giftings first. If the truth is not
in us then these very anointing or giftings will be the cause of our
destruction. Let our hearts always be in a state of repentance. Let us like
the Israelites carry the first Manna given by the Lord in our Ark of
Testimony (our Cross – our mission). Unless we continually do not carry our
Ark we will never cross our river of Jordan (inheritance) and enter the
Promised Land (Heaven).

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Awesome God. You Lord are Holy, Righteous and Truth. You Lord
require a renewed heart as a holy sacrifice. Lord we pray we are not
deceived by anointing and gifting but seek first the Truth so that we are
rooted on the Rock and never be shaken...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
John 9:39 And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that
they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.

Isaiah 29:10 For the LORD hath poured out upon you the spirit of deep
sleep, and hath closed your eyes: the prophets and your rulers, the seers
hath he covered.

Ezekiel 14:9 And if the prophet be deceived when he hath spoken a thing, I
the LORD have deceived [persuaded] that prophet, and I will stretch out my
hand upon him, and will destroy him from the midst of my people Israel.

Matthew 13:13-14
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and
hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By
hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see,
and shall not perceive:

Jesus manifested the Father’s Name

John 17:6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out
of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept
thy word.
As kids we had this joke that Chinese would drop a vessel and what sound it
makes they would name their kids after that sound.

In today’s world name of a person is a ID tag of that person and is usually
a phonic sound, it could have a meaning but if spoken in any other language
the phonic sound in the original language is maintained, it is not
translated as it was done in Biblical times.

In Biblical times names had meaning and purpose, they were declaration of
blessing or cruse, of a promise or situation experienced at time of birth.
When the name was referred in another language the phonics was not
continued but the meaning was translated. If there was a name that was
common then the father’s name was taken along with that person’s name or
name of the place of his or her origin so as the identify the person. Nick
names were also given to people with common names and generally used where
the father’s name was also common or there were more people with the same
name from the place of origin.

In the OT we see God changed the name of Abram to Abraham to implant a
blessing. The names of children / grandchildren of Adam had meanings or had
relation with a situation, similar was the case with the children of Jacob.
In the NT we also see people like Simon or John which was a common name
were referred along with father’s name or place of origin.

Jesus called Simon ‘Cephas’ in Aramaic meaning pebble a nickname because of
his behavior of speaking without having full knowledge. When this name was
translated into the Greek language it was written as Petros and in the
English language as Peter. People mistake it as rock which in Aramaic is
Suh’as and Greek is Petra.

In OT we see the name due to Jesus was Emmanuel but in NT what was given by
Joseph in Aramaic was Yeshua equivalent to Joshua in Hebrew. The meaning of
Emmanuel is ‘God with us’ and Yeshua is ‘Jehovah is salvation’. What Joseph
did was name the child after the purpose why God is with us, it was for
this reason it was not corrected but accepted by the Lord. The name Jesus
is an English phonic version of Iesus the Greek translation version of the
name [Greek does not have J]. So when we take the name ‘Jesus’ the phonics
word does not have power but knowing or declaring the purpose of Him has.

Coming to the name of the Lord.

The English word Lord comes from the term master and God from Hebrew term
‘Gad’ which was for a deity that gives prosperity. So when we say ‘Lord’ we
call Him as our master or when we call Him ‘God’ we declare our prosperity
comes from Him.

In the Bible like Adam even the Lord has no phonics or earthly name. The
word Adam is the Hebrew word for man, since he was the first and only man
it became his name. So when we refer to him as Adam it mean we are
referring to the first man. In case of the Lord since He alone is Lord
giving Him a name would mean acknowledging the existence of other gods. It
was for this reason when asked for a name by those close to Him, He
answered ‘I am that I am’ and people called Him ‘I AM THAT I AM’ or ‘I AM’.
All the other so called names are descriptions or acknowledgments of Him.

We all have a spiritual ‘name’ which is unique to each person and that is
the snapshot of our spiritual being (what we will become at the end - our
end result). It for this reason after resurrection when we enter Heaven we
will have a new name which is unknown to mankind.

In today’s message we see Jesus declares or manifested the Name of the
Father meant He showed us the Nature of the Father. Before Jesus (Lord came
as man) man did not know the Father and has vague understanding of Him.

Today the Lord is telling us, if we are claiming the Lord or Jesus is in us
let us introspect do we have at least a little of His Nature is us? If we
have nothing of Jesus or the Father whom Jesus manifested then can we truly
say we have Jesus?

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Holy, Righteous and Truth. You Lord desire your children to be
like You and thus walk in the way of holiness, righteousness and truth. We
pray Lord we do not be verbal Christian but people who reflect You unto

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a
virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Matthew 1:23-25
23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and
they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.
24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had
bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he
called his name JESUS.

John 17:12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast
given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of
perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Exodus 3:14 And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus
shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

John 8:58-59
58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham
was, I AM.
59 Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and
went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Revelation 2:17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith
unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the hidden
manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name
written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth [it].

False angles and Heavenly Angels

Zechariah 5:10, 11 Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do
these bear the ephah? And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land
of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.

From childhood we have been given pictures of Angels as women with wings.
In Hinduism also we see their heavenly place is filled with beautiful
women, even in Islam Jannah (paradise) is a place where each man receives
service of about 72 women who fulfil his fleshy bodily desires and serve
wine day and night. Those who have had personal encounters with Angels will
confirm they are nothing like what is shown in paintings.

When we read the Bible Angels are described with male gender and never
referred with the feminine gender, they are called Sons of God (spiritual
gender is not same are natural gender, natural gender is a shadow of
spiritual gender). Heavenly Angels are spirit beings that appear in the
outline of men but just radiating light. By size they appear to be larger
than earthly men but have no physical dimension for their legs, hands and
hair seem to be endless (these are symbolic). Bible says they can appear as
men in the flesh as and when required, and also do things natural to men
like eating, sleeping etc... In power an Angel is more powerful than 10,000
men (man can not harm an Angel but an Angel can harm man). In Heaven more
powerful than an Angel is a Cherub (living Beasts) who are as powerful as
72000 Angels (Bible speaks of only 6 of them).

Spirit beings like Angels have no restriction between spiritual world and
natural world (levels of Heavens), spiritual form and natural form (not
fallen angels since their powers were taken away after the floods) that
does not mean they keep coming as humans, it is very rare they do that.
Jesus said man after resurrection (Judgment Day) will be as Angels that is
why scriptures which say when minister to people in their needs we may be
ministering Angels, it does not talk of Heavenly Angels but those who will
become one after Judgment Day.

Heavenly Angels are called Angels of light while fallen angles or evil
spirit are described as an angels of darkness. Fallen angels are restricted
to the lower levels of Heaven and our creation falls amongst these. Fallen
angels have very limited powers and a human person in the Lord has powers
over them.

In the Bible the only place where is woman having wings is pictured is in
today’s scripture and is symbolic. These two women represent the two false
Church and are described to have wings like stroke (in Hebrew meaning
faithful - saints). The Catholic Church being one of these two women
blatantly pictures the Heaven Angels as women with wings (itself) and
mighty Cherubs as cute babies with wings! (Satan - King of Tyrus - dragon
is a cherub, so also is the beast of Revelation - Prince of Tyrus).

Today’s message talks of the foundation of foundation of these false
churches are based on wealth which is made of lead (dust) and this
foundation is set in a land of 2 rivers (talks of Heaven but promotes
earthly teachings). They cause us to love worldly things and to do worldly
things (traditions) while they talk of Heavenly things. If we do not want
to be in that Church we should firstly learn to forsake this world and its
worldly pleasures. We need to learn to die to our worldly desires.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Spirit. Your Kingdom is not of this world but the spirit
world. We as humans are spirit beings as powerful as Angels but in the
flesh we are lower than the Angels since we are corrupt. Lord when the
Truth sets us free we will indeed be like Heavenly Angels and will be
citizens of Heaven. Lord we pray we understand to whom we minister and also
discern what the world is trying to promote in your name...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Mark 12:25 For when they shall rise from the dead, they neither marry, nor
are given in marriage; but are as the angels which are in heaven.

1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more
things that pertain to this life?

1 Corinthians 11:7-10
7 For a man indeed ought not to cover [his] head, forasmuch as he is the
image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man.
8 For the man is not of the woman; but the woman of the man.
9 Neither was the man created for the woman; but the woman for the man.
10 For this cause ought the woman to have power on [her] head because of
the angels.

Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the
living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Matthew 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the
end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.

Galatians 4:14 And my temptation which was in my flesh ye despised not,
nor rejected; but received me as an angel of God, [even] as Christ Jesus.

2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into
an angel of light.

Revelation 22:8-9
8 And I John saw these things, and heard [them]. And when I had heard and
seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me
these things.
9 Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not: for I am thy fellowservant,
and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of
this book: worship God.

The mystery that is hidden

1 Corinthians 2:7, 8 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even]
the hidden [wisdom], which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they
would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

In the fields of science like physics, medicine etc. no sane person would
say he or she knows everything that is ever to be known. Each and every
knowledgeable person in the respective field knows how little they know
thus are always be ready to learn more. People call such persons as humble
but it is more to do with wisdom, wisdom makes a person humble. A wise
person always knows his or her limits, so will never take pride nor
belittle themselves.

The Kingdom of God is one area where no man [other than Jesus Christ] would
or can say he or she knows everything. Jesus as man knew everything not
because He was God who humbled and became man, understand He studied
scriptures and discussed with others so as to know more. He knew only by
the power of the Holy Spirit and this very Spirit He gave us. He as man was
perfect and it was in Him alone the Spirit [7 Spirits of God] and the image
of God was complete. Jesus confirmed His completeness by His
transfiguration. Transfiguration is nothing but having power over
[overcoming] the natural and becoming a higher spirit being as Angels.

People do not realize the simple fact that the day even 2 persons in whole
world, across all generations [billions/trillions] know everything that is
to be known about the Kingdom of God then we will immediately experience
Rapture. Rapture is nothing but some select persons who are still alive
transfiguring into spirit beings (Angels) like Jesus as man did. They are
the Angels that come with Him on Judgment Day.

Jesus said the Truth will set us free and He did mean it, for when Adam and
Eve ate of the Tree of Doubt (Good and Bad) they lost the Fruit of Truth
and Righteousness. It was for this reason Adam and Eve tried to hide from a
God who is omnipresent, all-seeing and all-knowing and they tried to hide
their nakedness even though they were physically naked from the start
(before Righteousness was they covering).

The Fruit of Truth is given to us by the Holy Spirit as a gift (through
revelations) and the Fruit of Righteousness is that we get from the Son
after Judgment. It is this restoration that enables us to regain our access
to Heaven. It is for this reason each one of us needs to keep pursuing to
know more and more of the Truth and at the same time build others so that
one day (quickly) those two [witnesses mentioned in Revelation] will know
the Truth and trigger our entry to Heaven.

Wisdom is the ability to understand knowledge. The knowledge [Word of God]
has already been given to us but due to lack of wisdom we are unable to
understand it completely. Wisdom can come via experience or as a gift from
God. If God was to let man gain wisdom through experience then it would
take thousands and thousands of years yet man would not learn everything,
since man learns of unlearns periodically history is witness to this. It is
only by the gift of wisdom that comes from God that we see the Truth / get
revelation of the Word.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty, All knowing, Omnipresent God. You Lord made man
lower than the Angels but by your working in him You Lord lift him up to
become as the Angels and rebuild the Heaven Temple which was damaged by the
falling of a third of the Angels. Lord we pray we understand the great
plans You have for us. Help us work diligently towards it, for we cannot
change that which is written but we can quicken or delay it...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 Corinthians 2:5-11
5 That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power
of God.
6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom
of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:
7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom],
which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

Tried and tested

Romans 16:10 Salute Apelles the approved in Christ. Salute them that are
of the [household] of Aristobulus.

When the Lord showed Abraham his generation (not natural but spiritual) He
showed him the stars of Heaven and asked him to count for righteousness.
When the Lord did this, the Lord was not pulling a fast one on Abraham but
literally meant it.

If we see in the Bible the Angels are called the Hosts of Heaven and are
symbolized by Heavenly bodies (stars - all heavenly bodies were referred to
as stars in those days). And we know when Satan fell he also caused a third
of the Angels to fall with his deceit.

In the book of Zachariah the Lord says He will take the people (that
believe Him) through fire and a third of them He will refine as gold and it
is this third that will become His people and He will be their God.

Jesus said the way to the gate of life is narrow and yet from those that
walk to the gate only a few shall enter through it.

Paul understood the probability of those who call themselves Christians and
those amongst them who will really enter the gates of Heaven. He understood
the ratio between the goats and sheep.

In today’s message Paul speaks of Apelles whom he says as approved in
Christ, Paul being assured as he would be counted amongst those who will
enter the gates of Heaven.

We are called not to judge another brethren does not mean not to correct
them and or discern their ways. What we are called is not to judge if that
brethren is not going to enter Heaven or even going to enter Heaven. We can
only hope he or she does. It is only when we are instructed by the Holy
Spirit about the person that we can surely confess it.

In my life of ministry there are very few people for whom the Lord clearly
showed me as being amongst those who enter Heaven and this included the
first sick person I ministered to after coming in the Lord. This Catholic
woman in her dying state accepted the Lord and reconciled with her loved
ones and then closed her eyes.

We may be amongst those who do a lot of work in the Lord’s Kingdom but yet
not be counted amongst the sheep as those whom Jesus spoke of in Matthew
7:21-23. Paul and James confirm unless we are tried and tested we are not
assured an entry in His Kingdom. It is for this reason Paul said work our
salvation with fear and trembling. It is truly scary when one understands
the possibility of one becoming a goat instead of a sheep.

So let us rejoice if we are amongst them that are undergoing trials. Let us
hold strong and endure it for this trail will be the reason of our approval
in Christ and our assurance for eternal life. On the other hand if
everything is good and we are facing no challenges in life then we need to
truly get worried.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Holy and desire your children too
to be holy. Lord we pray we understand holiness and the renewal in spirit
we need to go through to be counted to receive holiness. Lord we pray we be
strengthened in spirit in the trails we are going through. We understand
the working of the Spirit in us and through us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they
shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will say, It [is] my people:
and they shall say, The LORD [is] my God.

Revelation 12:4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven,
and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which
was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

Matthew 13:33 Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is
like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal,
till the whole was leavened.

Fighting the battle of faith

1 Timothy 6:12 Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life,
whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before
many witnesses.

We use today’s scripture about ‘fighting the good fight of faith’ very
often, but we fail to ask one question ‘against whom or what’ are we
fighting to battle of faith.

Keeping the faith is not an easy task for doubts in our head which come
from within, form the various situations or induced by external forces
cause us to lose our faith.

It is true if a person has believed in Christ and accepted Him as one’s
Lord and Savior that person is saved for Hell but sadly things do not end
there. If that person at a point of time rejects Christ or forsakes Him
then can the person claim salvation?

To keep one’s faith one needs to exercise one’s faith. It is only when we
do the works of faith that we exercise our faith and grow it.

Yesterday’s message spoke of Baptism in the Holy Spirit, His necessity in
our spiritual growth, about doing the mission Christ gave us; all these are
required by us to keep us in the Lord that means to keep our faith. We do
the Lord’s work of bringing the lost sheep back to the Lord and building
them in Him not only for them but also for our own selves. As we work on
others we work on our own selves.

The fight of faith is all about keeping our faith strong and growing in it.
Let us understand the enemies of our faith are not just evil spirits
(including Satan), but also those under his influence like the worldly
people (worldly teachings) including our former selves. It is for this
reason some of the criteria of being Born Again (born from above / born in
spirit) require us to die to ourselves, break away from worldly people and
battle unseen evil spiritual powers; we do all these even though we live in
the same body, amongst the same people and live a spiritual life.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Spirit and therefore desire we be
spiritually perfect. Lord we pray we see the powers that try to destroy our
faith so that we do not receive our inheritance in You. Lord we pray we
battle all these including the old-man in us by the help of your Spirit so
that we keep our faith...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Finished works of Christ

1 Corinthians 2:2 For I determined not to know any thing among you, save
Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

There is the always this argument amongst Christians mainly those who
believe in Once Saved Always Saved and others about the ‘Finished Works of
Christ’. I always put forth an argument to OSAS as to why did do we need to
have the following if we believe in the ‘Finished Works of Christ’?

1) Why do we need Holy Spirit baptism as a must to enter Heaven?
2) Why do we need transformation by the working of the Holy Spirit (being
born again / from above) if we are already saved?
3) Why did Jesus give us His Spirit as a ‘Helper’ if the job is already
4) Why did Jesus give us a mission when He had already done the job?

Yesterday I gave the analogy of Christ being the person who opened the
locked door for us when there was no escape for us. Can I be free if I do
not walk through the door that Christ opened? Just knowing He opened the
door cannot make me a free person, I need to walk through it, and since
that task is not easy He gave us His Spirit as a helper. Understand there
will be many who know about the ‘freedom door’ (believe in Christ) yet will
perish for they did not walk through it (do the Will of the Father).

Christ came as man for a mission and His mission He did so He left the
screen so that His Spirit takes over and does the key job of helping is
walk the path of salvation that (the son of man) Jesus Christ made
available for us.

For God time is not a factor so what He has done is complete but for us who
dwell in the dimension of time need to complete our walk in Him. It is like
God has seen us on the victory stand and declared it even though we have
just started running the race. Can we stop running and claim victory? How
do we know we are not amongst those who knew about the open door yet did
not walk through it?

Let us run the race giving our best more important knowing we have already
own it. Let our legs not be feeble or we sit when we fall but get up and
continue the race putting all the strength receiving the victory already

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty, Omnipresent God. You Lord know all things for time
is not a factor for You. Your Word Lord is complete for the task You have
sent it. Lord we pray we do not fall prey to vanity and not walk the way
You have made available for us. We pray we understand the importance of

How prophecy and foreknowledge works

John 13:26, 27 Jesus answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when
I have dipped [it]. And when he had dipped the sop, he gave [it] to Judas
Iscariot, [the son] of Simon. And after the sop Satan entered into him.
Then said Jesus unto him, That thou doest, do quickly.

I love to watch Si-Fi movies because of the topics they address and almost
all the time they try to push hard hidden worldly doctrines which are
contrary to Biblical doctrines. Let us take the instance of time travel
which they first relate to gravity and then make us feel it is possible to
travel through time. Once they achieve this agenda of acceptable time
travel, they then start with the possibility of tampering events in the
past so as to erase and change the present or future. The concept of
predestinated salvation works around this worldly understanding.

If we look at Bible prophecies they give certain clues of an event or the
persons concerning the event. What one who interprets prophecies does is
fix the clues to the knowledge of things known to the person at that time
and if they fit then the person confirms the prophecy.

I take interest in Bible codes (every Hebrew alphabet has meaning and so
also its sequence in the Bible), it is a complex study for it gives great
details of prophecies; at times names, dates and even locations of who,
when and where; yet we find they are forewarning and unchangeable. We can
save ourselves from the impact of the prophecy but cannot change the

In today’s message we find Jesus with confidence confirming Judas as the
betrayer and when He did it Satan moves in to get Judas to do what was
prophesied the betrayer would do. The question asked is did Jesus or Satan
know Judas was the betrayer when Jesus selected him as one of the twelve?
The answer surprisingly is NO.

Jesus as man was 100% man so although He was/is God the Son yet He humbled
Himself, leaving His glory, taking on the form of man. As man He worked by
the power of the Holy Spirit (the Spirit of God - the Son) that is why He
said we would do what He did and even more when the situation arises since
He gave us His Spirit – Spirit of God. Jesus as man studied scripture and
got revelation as you and I do, only since He was perfect without sin He
spiritually became the max we can. It was for this reason He said He was
unaware of the end day / Judgment Day and only God knew even though He
spoke a lot of things concerning it. He was even aware a feast (Feast of
Trumpets) was celebrated in connection to Judgment day (His second coming)
yet He could not tell when it would really happen for the exact day is not
mentioned but its season is (approximate time) and this the Angel answered
Daniel in his vision on the command of Him (Daniel 12:5-9). Jesus compared
it to Noah who knew the flood would not come until he had finned his ark
since God had commanded it, thus worked on it relentlessly (almost 100-120

With regards to Judas betraying Jesus, in the start Jesus only knew one of
His 12 chosen disciples would do so but did not know who would. Amongst the
12, Satan too was not aware who would so tried with Peter as well as Judas.
Jesus was sure about Judas being that person only when He started to notice
Judas taking on the role of the person prophesied (son of perdition/hell)
by his persistent robbing, lying and deceiving. It was for this reason when
Jesus verbally confirmed Judas was the one prophesied immediately Satan
entered him.

The story of life is written and we are given the choice to play the roles
of success or failure. God alone knows who will play what role and does not
influence the choice but does influence the success. That means we if we
make the choice God can help us do better and gain more.

The Hebrew Barak translated as ‘bless’ is also translated as ‘curse’ in the
book of Job for it simply means quickening that which is already given. We
can quicken the goodness of God by our faithfulness, repentance, abiding in
Him or can quicken the judgment / curses by doing the opposite. Choice is

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Merciful God. Even though your mercy is abundant yet it
cannot be taken for granted. Lord we pray we understand we are answerable
for our thoughts, words and deeds. Although it is not our works that save
us but it is our choice and abiding in it that does enable You to save us.
You God want a freely willing heart...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Being washed to be in Christ

John 13: 8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus
answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.

I at times get so angry at English translations for not doing justice to
scriptures, this has caused so much of misunderstanding amongst Christians.
But then the verse of Isaiah comes to mind where God says He shuts the eyes
of the people that they could not see and makes them deaf that could not
hear because their hearts are hard.

Over the years God is working on the hearts of His people and as their
hearts can take He reveals more of His Word and His Kingdom. He knows if He
reveals more than a heart can take, it will cause the destruction of that
soul, it is for this reason we normally see those who have gone through
great suffering and recovered are the ones who get more. One strong pots
hold precious things.

Today’s message talks of Jesus telling Peter if He did not wash His feet,
he would not have anything to do with Him. Jesus washing the feet of His
disciples at the Last Supper (Feast of Unleavened Bread) had nothing to do
with service or humility as preachers put.

Washing of hands and feet were essential before a person enters the
Tabernacle else God said the person would die (cut off from His people) if
he or she entered without washing. Hands symbolize work of man or his deeds
and feet represent his way of life. Washing of hands symbolize forgiveness
of sins one knows one has done and washing of feet symbolizes forgiveness
of sins which one is not aware one has done (guilt).

To wash one’s hands one needs to repent - turn away from one’s sinful way
and turn towards God. No one can forgive a person of his or her sins (even
God) unless one repents. Coming to guilt forgiveness or washing of feet
Christ made available the bread that we share at His table (guilt
sacrifice). Even a Man or Woman of God having authority in Him can pray and
forgive a person of his or her sins both hands (if he or she repents - we
have authority to bind or release on earth which will reflect in Heaven)
and also of guilt (Jesus commanded His disciples to wash each other’s feet).

Coming to washing of sins the Greek word for wash used in these scriptures
is not normal washing but one used for washing of wounds / dead bodies.
When God washes our sins it is not like cleaning a person of his or her
dirt but more of healing the person for which we need to die to our sins.
God is not interested more in what wrong you and I have already done but
more that we do not repeat those wrongs in the future. He wants us to
change and if we do not have change in us, we do not have anything to do
with Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are an Awesome and Holy God who are Omnipresent. The Upper Heavens
are your dwell place even though there is no place one can hide from You,
for your glory is awesome there. Lord we pray we understand it is only when
we change we become a part of You. We pray we understand change in our sin
nature is what You desire when You forgive us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Matthew 13:14-17
14 And for them the words of Isaiah have come true, Though you give ear,
you will not get knowledge; and seeing, you will see, but the sense will
not be clear to you:
15 For the heart of this people has become fat and their ears are slow in
hearing and their eyes are shut; for fear that they might see with their
eyes and give hearing with their ears and become wise in their hearts and
be turned again to me, so that I might make them well.
16 But a blessing be on your eyes, because they see; and on your ears,
because they are open.
17 For truly, I say to you that prophets and upright men had a desire to
see the things which you see, and saw them not; and to have knowledge of
the words which have come to your ears, and they had it not.

Acts 22:16 And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash
away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Hebrews 10:22 Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of
faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies
washed with pure water.

Matthew 18:18 Verily I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth
shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be
loosed in heaven.

Were we in God’s plan?

Romans 15:12 And again, Esaias saith, There shall be a root of Jesse, and
he that shall rise to reign over the Gentiles; in him shall the Gentiles

There is always this belief that Israelites are God’s people. The question
arises, and which was even on my mind when I was new in the Lord; were we
(non-Israelites) part of God’s plan?

If we look at the OT even though the children of Jacob (Israelites) were
the trigger yet always God had non-Israelites included in His plan of
salvation for mankind. Paul who was both Jewish (mother) as well Roman
(father) initially used his Jewish name Saul believing Jews alone were
God’s people but later as he understood scriptures he reverted to his
rightful Roman name Paul.

The OT is called a shadow for its understanding was hidden from man until
man received the Spirit of God – the Spirit of Truth who reveals the true
understanding of scriptures. Bible says Truth and Grace came through Jesus
Christ; even though the Law came through Moses it was not understood until
man received the Holy Spirit and were baptized in Him.

Let us get it in us, we non Israelites are not second class citizen of
Heaven. We are as rightful heirs to the Kingdom of God as any other man on
earth. In Abraham was the promise of the Savior made and Abraham was called
‘father of nations’ not ‘nation’. It was not the children of the flesh who
are considered rightful heirs of the promises made to Abraham but by faith
in Christ. So even though Bible story revolves around a race of people yet
they were just a shadow and God’s plan included every race of mankind.

[Prayer Starter]
Father God, You are an Awesome God. You are Righteous and Holy God. You
called us to become your Sons even before we were born in the womb of our
mothers. Lord I thank You for calling me to become heir of your Kingdom and
to enjoy eternal life in You...

This prayer I make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 11:10 And in that day there shall be a root of Jesse, which shall
stand for an ensign of the people; to it shall the Gentiles seek: and his
rest shall be glorious.

Genesis 17:4 As for me, behold, my covenant [is] with thee, and thou shalt
be a father of many nations.

Romans 4:16-18
16 Therefore [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace; to the end the
promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the
law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father
of us all,
17 (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before
him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth
those things which be not as though they were.
18 Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of
many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

All spiritual things we do not take with us

Hebrews 2:4 God also bearing [them] witness, both with signs and wonders,
and with divers miracles, and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his
own will?

We all may have heard the great parting story of the King of Macedon who
became an Emperor ruling a large part of the world – Alexandra the Great.
He told his officers: “I will soon leave this world. I have three final
wishes. You need to carry out what I tell you.” His generals, in tears,
agreed. “My first wish is to have my physician bring my coffin home alone.
My second wish is scatter gold, silver, and gems from my treasure-house
along the path to the tomb when you ship my coffin to the grave. My final
wish it to put my hands outside the coffin.”

People surrounding him all were very curious, but only one dared to ask the
reason. Alexander’s most favored general kissed his hand and asked: “My
Majesty, We will follow your instruction. But can you tell us why you want
us to do it this way?” Alexander said: “I want everyone to understand the
three lessons I have learned. To let my physician carry my coffin alone is
to let people realize that a physician cannot really cure people’s illness.
Especially when they face death, the physicians are powerless. I hope
people will learn to treasure their lives. My second wish is to tell people
not to be like me in pursuing wealth. I spent my whole life pursuing
wealth, but I was wasting my time most of the time. My third wish to let
people understand that I came to this world in empty hands and I will leave
this world also in empty hands.”

We as Christians know when we depart from this world, all our worldly
riches and worldly things we leave behind. There are also other things
which are not materialistic which also we do not take with us once we
depart which sadly we are not told. Some amongst them is our relationships,
our knowledge, our skill and our spiritual gifting.

When we die we cease to be someone’s father, mother, brother, sister, son
or daughter. When we die our only relationship that exist is our
relationship with the Lord, be it good or bad.

All that we learn or know (the little we see of the truth) ceases the
moment our spirit leaves our body for our spiritual eyes open and we see
the spiritual world and truth clearly. Bible says even evil spirit know God
and tremble, so who God is not hidden even though they do not abide in Him.

Just yesterday I was pondering it out with the Lord and surprisingly today
I got to share it with others. I realized yesterday that all our spiritual
gifting is for this world. Even though they are spiritual yet we do not
take it with us. Our giftings along with our Callings are as long as our
spirit dwells in our body (Callings do not change), the moment we die
(natural death) our spiritual giftings and callings ceases. The only things
that continue with us after death is what we have done to our spirit being
and the Fruits of the Spirit in us. So how ever great a Prophet, Evangelist
or Teacher we are does not matter, what matters is what we have achieved
through it.

Let us understand the importance of the Fruits of the Spirit and thus
partner with the Holy Spirit to build them. Like we are not called to seek
the riches (more than necessary) of the world even though we need them to
survive similarly our spiritual giftings can destroy us if we do not use
them for the purpose they are given (serve the Body of Christ). It is
better to not have them then misuse them and cause our destruction.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Spirit and the Spirit world is the real world that is eternal.
Man who is filled with worldly knowledge does not have basic understanding
of the term spirit and thinks of ghosts which are mystical fictitious
characters. Lord we pray You open our eyes to the Spirit world and see
things clearly before it is too late...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 7:16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of
thorns, or figs of thistles?

Matthew 21:43 Therefore say I unto you, The kingdom of God shall be taken
from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof.

Revelation 18:14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed
from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from
thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.

No understanding without the Holy Spirit

Matthew 17:9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them,
saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from
the dead.

In today’s message we find Jesus refraining Peter, James and John from
sharing with others His transfiguration and of Him conversing with Moses
and Elijah. The question is why did Jesus charge them from not sharing
this, and if they did share what would have happened? Could the knowledge
of the transfiguration of Jesus harm them? It did not change Peter, James
and John since they continued to behave the same, Peter even denied Jesus
thrice after this.

The Spirit of God the Son is also referred to as Spirit of Truth. Truth is
a Fruit which along with Righteousness and Holiness is not listed in the
nine Fruits of the Spirit mentioned in Galatians because these 3 are gifts
unlike the nine which man has access to and can grow. Truth comes from the
Spirit, Righteousness from the Son and Holiness from the Father. We can
study scriptures and seek understanding but unless the Holy Spirit reveals
it, no person can truly understand it. It means what is revealed can be
shared from man to man but what is not revealed has to come from the Holy
Spirit. Till day everything is not revealed and will be revealed in its due
time, so no man can say he or she knows everything of the Word of God.

Jesus refrained His three disciples from sharing what they saw because
others would not understand until they all received His Spirit and were
baptized in the Spirit. They received the Holy Spirit after Jesus’
resurrection and breath into them His Spirit, but were baptized in the Holy
Spirit during Pentecost when they helplessly gathered together to know
future directions.

Today even though we are in a period where the Holy Spirit is given to the
Church we still live in an era where people do not get fresh revelation but
share that which has been revealed since years and years back.

Paul did not share greater depth of the Kingdom of God (meat) to the people
he was ministering because they did not have discernment (teeth) and thus
lived on spiritual milk. All his letters are spiritual milk since they were
written to these churches. The one church that has maturity (Berea) Paul
did not need to write to them to instruct them for the Holy Spirit was
doing that job.

Jesus as man knew He could not do what was needed thus left us with His
Spirit. We humans on the other hand think ourselves to be greater than
Jesus for we desire to be Pastors (Shepherds) of people forever not
directing or handing them over to the Lord (Holy Spirit - Spirit of the
Son) who is the true Shepherd and Teacher and Revealer of the Word. It is
for this reason we have churches filled with disciples of man and not
disciples of the Lord, we have spiritual babies still connected via
umbilical cords to their Pastors. People see anointed leaders operating in
the gifts of the Holy Spirit and think they are led by the Holy Spirit. If
leaders were truly led by the Holy Spirit then our churches would not have
been in the state they are.

It is time Pastors disconnect their umbilical cords from people in their
congregation and let people be led by the Holy Spirit. If God has said it
will be accomplished only via His Spirit then why are we trying to show God
wrong by doing it all by ourselves!

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and nothing is impossible to You. You Lord are
patient with man so that their corruption may be overcome by the working of
your Spirit. A part of You humbled, became man and paid the price to make
peace between You and man so that they could receive your Spirit and be
transformed. Lord we pray man understands your Church is built on the
working of the Spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Ephesians 5:9 (For the fruit of the Spirit [is] in all goodness [Holiness]
and righteousness and truth;)

John 20:21-22
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as [my] Father hath
sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on [them], and saith unto them,
Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

John 14:17 [Even] the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive,
because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he
dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

John 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide
you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he
shall hear, [that] shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.
