Not a Friend in Jesus

John 15:15 Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not
what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I
have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

Amongst those simple things which got me to re-understand the Bible in a
total new way were things like understanding spirit-man (inner-man), the
term ‘spirit’ and also the term ‘friend’. These terms are regular used
terms but we rarely try to understand them in its true depth.

The understanding of inner-man helps in understanding the battle ground
where our spiritual battle happens. The understanding of the term spirit
helps understand Heaven, its created beings (including us) and God Himself.
The understanding of term friend helps in understanding our relationship
with God and with our brethren.

I had mentioned before when the Lord was teaching me about the term friend
I witnessed some of the most gruesome events one after another in a short
time of a few days. When I asked the Lord why I was seeing these it was
then He opened scriptures and made me understand the term ‘friend’.

We need to get it into us a friend a relationship between two unrelated
persons. It is a relationship between two persons who get alone with each
other based on conditions or situations favorable between them. Friendships
can be very strong and at times confused as better than other
relationships. If one observes the world social media keeps pushing this
relationship down our throat. We have ‘friendship day’ and in social
networks we ‘befriend’ / ‘unfriend’ people.

Bible on the contrary tells us Believers (God’s people) are called not to
be friends but be family. Friendship can be broken but family cannot. We
can choose a friend but family is God chosen. Bible does not talk of just
natural family but also of our spiritual family.

There are many Hebrew and Greek words which are mistranslated into friend
to push this worldly relationship i.e. God calling Abraham His ‘friend’,
even though the Hebrew word is love / lover. It is due to this relationship
between God and Abraham that we the seed to Abraham become His Bride. So
calling God a friend or Abraham as God’s friend would be denying the
Bridegroom and Heaven / Salvation itself. Out of ignorance we may be
pardoned by God but then when God brings it to light and we still continue
then what excuse do we have.

Even today’s message we find Jesus use the term ‘friend’ - Greek word Philo
which has other meanings like associate. When we look at the context of the
topic we find Jesus telling us about His Father’s business. Business
secrets are shared between associates and family but not friends. We may
trust some for some secrets but we will not tell everything like we do with
our associate or family.

It is only when we understand the business term associate we will
understand John 15:1-15 better, how we are called to work in the Lord’s
Kingdom and how we being kings yet have a King (Prince of Kings) over us.
How we have dominance over this world by being in Him. How we gather for
ourselves treasures in Heaven while we carry the Cross of Christ.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God, You commanded us to call You Father for You are our
creator, protector and provider. You also called us to be brethren of each
other, being one family. Lord we pray we understand our relationship with
You and also with each other so that we do not lose the spiritual things
You have set for us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 41:8 But thou, Israel, [art] my servant, Jacob whom I have chosen,
the seed of Abraham my friend {ahab – lover}.

2 Chronicles 20:7 [Art] not thou our God, [who] didst drive out the
inhabitants of this land before thy people Israel, and gavest it to the
seed of Abraham thy friend {ahab – lover} for ever?

James 2:23 And the scripture was fulfilled which saith, Abraham believed
God, and it was imputed unto him for righteousness: and he was called the
Friend {Philo - associate} of God.

Revelation 1:5 And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and]
the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth.
Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

2 Thessalonians 2:13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you,
brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen
you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the
truth:

1 Timothy 6:2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise
[them], because they are brethren; but rather do [them] service, because
they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach
and exhort.

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto
me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that
have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the
spirit of prophecy.

Being enriched by Him

1 Corinthians 1:5 That in every thing ye are enriched by him, in all
utterance [degree], and [in] all knowledge;

Today’s message talks of the Lord enriching us and it specifies what kind
of things, things which are not worldly but spiritual. What is very
interesting fact to note, the verb ‘are’ is not in the present continuous
tense but in Greek Aorist tense, which is past, present and future
together.

We tend to ignore the fact that even before we came to know the Lord and
acknowledged Him, there were times when He gave supernaturally knowledge
and understanding, which we ourselves were incompetent to create or hold as
in receive from others.

Personally I remember a day as a Catholic (before becoming a Believer about
18-20 years back) I was in a room surrounded by at least 15-18 Jehovah
Witnesses, that too not just locals from Mumbai but from other parts of
India and some from their international HO. They were very senior people
who had come to meet me for I was helping them find land to build a press
(thank God the deal did not go through). They were trying to convince me to
become a Jehovah’s Witness. Even though I knew little of them (thought they
were another Christian sect) and had not even read the Bible fully, yet the
Lord filled me with confidence and knowledge of scriptures that even after
4 hours they did not break an mm of ground with me. They got fed up with me
and gave up.

In another situation (my first debate and I had not yet attended or seen
Biblical debates - I was a Believer then but had no knowledge of
Apologetics) I was called to meet (debate) some people from World Mission
Society Church of God who were going around in that area brainwashing
people. Here too even though I had no prior knowledge of them or their
belief system yet when I finished (it was a 6-7 hours session), the person
who organized this meet told me I have literally covered all the areas they
take up. Later I was told most amongst them (5 out of the 6) who came, left
that organization.

Let us not be alarmed at any situation. Let us remember even before the
Israelites crossed the Red Sea (Reed / Weed Sea) which symbolized their
baptism in the Lord, they were guided and protected by the pillar of cloud
/ fire which symbolized the Holy Spirit.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. Your Word says You knew us even before we were born in
our mother’s womb. Although You had knew we would choose You yet You did
not influence our choice but let us make it by our free will. Your love
Lord is measured not by the suffering on the cross but by the fact You
loved us even before we knew You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 13:21 And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud,
to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light;
to go by day and night:

Galatians 1:15 But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s
womb, and called [me] by his grace,

Use and Misuse of the Law

1 Timothy 1: 8 But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it
lawfully;

Just because someone quotes the Bible or studies the Word of God does not
give them a clean chit as being Christian or ‘holy’. Understand both Angels
and devils are spirit beings so anyone claiming to live a spiritual life
does not necessary mean they are behaving like the Angels of God. There are
people who claim to follow the Bible and thus call them saintly people even
though they do contrary to what God commanded in the Bible, the reason is
that they interpret scriptures to suite their carnal desires.

In the Bible it was not just the Men of God who quoted scriptures, but also
devils (Satan) quoted scriptures; the difference between the two is the
latter twisted them for their purpose and not according the Lord’s purpose.

Today’s message tells us about the importance of use of the Law, it tells
us not to just study scriptures but more so understand their purpose and
mission. It is sad a large part of the Christian Church fail here.

It is important to note on Judgment Day the Lord’s flock will stand before
the Judgment Seat and the sheep will be separated from the goats. The sheep
will enter Heaven and the goats will experience the punishment set forth
for the fallen angels. What is more important to note to note is that it is
not by coincidence that Satan is called a hairy goat / ‘she goat’ (mother
goat) in Hebrew in the OT.

Satan worshipers worship an image they call Baphomet (semi human - semi
goat). They do not realize it symbolizes a disobedient person who knows God
and His Word (to disobey one needs to know what not to obey). They are
worshipping ‘Christians’ who fail to be true Christians - those who misuse
the Law of God / Word of God to gratify their carnal desires.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You are Light. Your Word is light and life for it
created life, by it life is renewed and saved. Darkness came because light
was resisted. Lord we pray we understand the purpose of your Word more and
more so that we are not deceived in to becoming goats and children of
Satan...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
2 Corinthians 11:14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into
an angel of light.

Leviticus 17:7 And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils
(hairy goat), after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute
for ever unto them throughout their generations.

2 Chronicles 11:15 And he ordained him priests for the high places, and
for the devils (hairy goat), and for the calves which he had made.

Ephesians 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of
this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit
that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

The First and Second Joseph

Acts 2:13 And at the second [time] Joseph was made known to his brethren;
and Joseph’s kindred was made known unto Pharaoh.

In today’s message it looks like a grammatical error when Peter refers to
the incident concerning Joseph the son of Jacob; Peter seems to have missed
the word ‘time’ when he refers to Joseph who had prospered and became the
prime minister of Egypt - key person after the king. But in the NT we do
not see elsewhere this kind of error, for it was intentional and not an
error.

The story of Joseph is a hard truth which in my many years of teaching
ministry never had the opportunity to speak of it in detail. The Holy
Spirit did not allow me to speak much on it even though by human wisdom it
was the most important topic to be preached in Churches. The time (hearts
of men) were not set to hear it, today the Lord want me to just touch on it..

The twelve tribes of Israel that entered the promised land were Reuben,
Simeon, Judah, Issachar, Zebulun, Benjamin, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher,
Ephraim and Manasseh, of these even though Levi entered they were not
counted amongst the twelve. We also see Joseph was substituted by his two
sons Manasseh and Ephraim.

The twelve Apostles of Jesus were key to the Lord’s ministry and were hand
chosen, yet we see Judas was counted as failed and lost. The twelve were
not significant in the earthly ministry after Jesus’ death for Paul who was
most effective was not counted amongst the twelve, nor was he called the
thirteenth.

In Revelations we find both the twelve tribes and the twelve Apostles are
key (symbolically) in Heaven, for the twelve tribes were represented by the
twelve precious stones on the breastplate of the High Priest and
foundations of Heaven are (symbolically) made of the same also the twelve
gates and twelve Angels (symbolically) represent the twelve tribes of
Israel. Coming to the twelve Apostles we find Heaven has twelve pillars /
foundations on which it is founded and they represent the twelve Apostles.
In truth both of them symbolically represent the twelve Fruits of the Tree
of Life, they are the twelve Fruits of the Holy Spirit (9 in Galatians
5:22-23 and 3 in Ephesians 5:9).

The story of Joseph from rags to fame and riches, to only bones being
carried to the Promised Land is the story of the first and second Joseph
and a hard story against Prosperity Gospel that needs to be told in
Churches so that Christians get hatched from the eggs (shell of lies) they
are now dwell in. It is a story which emphasis on the importance to
overcome this world, its understanding and its desires.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Spirit and Your Kingdom is not of this
world. You Lord, desire man to overcome this world, its desires, its riches
and its pleasures. Lord we pray we understand the dangers of being trapped
in understanding of this world. Let your which is like double edged sword
pierce and separate the bone from the marrow and lead us to the Truth that
sets us free...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Mark 14:72 And the second time the cock crew. And Peter called to mind the
word that Jesus said unto him, Before the cock crow twice, thou shalt deny
me thrice. And when he thought thereon, he wept.

John 21:16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas,
lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love
thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

Acts 10:15 And the voice [spake] unto him again the second time, What God
hath cleansed, [that] call not thou common.

Matthew 26:44 And he left them, and went away again, and prayed the third
time, saying the same words.

Genesis 50:25 And Joseph took an oath of the children of Israel, saying,
God will surely visit you, and ye shall carry up my bones from hence.

Acts 1:20-26

Revelation 21:12 And had a wall great and high, [and] had twelve gates,
and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are [the
names] of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:

Revelation 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in
them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.

Revelation 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of
the river, [was there] the tree of life, which bare twelve [manner of]
fruits, [and] yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree
[were] for the healing of the nations.

Bodily Resurrection

John 21: 1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples
at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he [himself].

Yesterday being Resurrection Sunday many must have heard preaching’s that
since Jesus resurrected in the body so we too will resurrect in body. Then
they go on to state we will receive are renewed body (perfect body) even
though Jesus resurrected bodily with the nail wounds in His hands till
there (I ask such people what age would our body be? What will be the body
age of our fathers and grandfathers be? Note Jesus did not resurrect as a
teenager.).

This is the problem with most preachers hearing what other preachers say,
not studying the Bible and saying what it says.

Acts clearly (stating OT) says Jesus is the only person who resurrected in
His earthly body (that is why His body was not found) because His earthly
body did not see corruption (sin and curse/sicknesses). If we state we will
resurrect in our earthly bodies then we are firstly stating we did not ever
sin nor did our earthly fathers (parents) and we were like Jesus born of a
virgin or made like Adam directly of dust (if they talk of forgiveness than
they do not understand sin/corruption; forgiveness is taking away the
consequence of sin, not undoing what it did).

The second condition is that our natural bodies need to be preserved (even
in mutilated state) for us to resurrect in our old bodies. If our bodies
perish then how can we rise in the same body? At an average an adult body
takes 8 to 40 years to completely decompose to its skeleton (this depends
if placed in a coffin and the type of wood used to make it).

The concept of Christians burying in coffins started with this
misunderstanding of bodily resurrection. Biblically the body needs to be
simply wrapped in a cloth and buried.

The Greek word ‘anastasis’ (root ‘anistemi’) translated as resurrection
means to rise (move a level higher) the root word is used as in sleeping
person sits or siting person stands.

When a person dies their spirit being (spirit and soul) goes to a level
called Grave (sleep in the Lord) or go to Hell (spiritual prison) depending
on their knowing the Lord (only after Judgment Day one get a chance to go
to Heaven). Only those who sleep in the Lord can be raised to life (in
their old body) not those who have gone to Hell. Those who sleep can also
come up in spirit form like Samuel (in OT), Moses and Elijah (in NT) did.
Man in flesh is forbidden to communicate with them or bring them up (Jesus
had to transfigure / take spirit form so as to communicate with Moses and
Elijah, He did this not because He had something important to discuss with
them but to show us He had overcome and could transfigure).

Those who study particle physics or have any idea of it know matter can
transform to energy and energy to matter (called ‘pair production’). A
spirit being like an Angel can take physical form (they come only as humans
and not as animals). Jesus said after Judgment Day we will become like the
Angels and thus do not need our bodies, also Heaven is not an earthly or
natural place (gold and gems are symbolic), it is a spirit place.

Let us not put our minds and understanding in coffins like we do to the
dead. Let us understand God, His Kingdom and what His plans are for us. The
Resurrection Power the set Jesus free from Hell did not work after He died
but while He was alive. Let us tap into that Resurrection Power (Holy
Spirit) today and not wait until we die for then it would be too late.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God, You are Spirit. Your Kingdom is not of this world but
spirit world. Near to You is light / life and far from You is darkness /
death. Lord we pray we understand life / spirit and how it is more real
than this natural world and worldly things. Let us tap into your
Resurrection Power today and wait until it is too late...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 13:33-37
33 God hath fulfilled the same unto us their children, in that he hath
raised up Jesus again; as it is also written in the second psalm, Thou art
my Son, this day have I begotten thee.
34 And as concerning that he raised him up from the dead, [now] no more to
return to corruption, he said on this wise, I will give you the sure
mercies of David.
35 Wherefore he saith also in another [psalm], Thou shalt not suffer thine
Holy One to see corruption.
36 For David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God,
fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption:
37 But he, whom God raised again, saw no corruption.

Matthew 22:29-30
29 Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the
scriptures, nor the power of God.
30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage,
but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels
for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the
grace of God should taste death for every man.

Hebrews 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the
living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,

Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some
have entertained angels unawares.

John 18:36 Jesus answered, My kingdom is not of this world: if my kingdom
were of this world, then would my servants fight, that I should not be
delivered to the Jews: but now is my kingdom not from hence.

His did all in perfect time

John 11: 54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went
thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim,
and there continued with his disciples.

Bible shows the birth (first coming) of Jesus was on a perfect time and
that is how not just the Prophet Simeon and Prophetess Anna but even the
wise-men (Magos - learned men of the Babylonian Daniel system, who came
from Asian countries like India) could identify His coming.

His death and resurrection was also done in perfect timing. Bible says He
went to Hell (a spiritual prison) after His death since He was forsaken by
the Father for He took our sins on Himself (when placing the crown man laid
hands on His head) but since there was no sin in Him, He could be kept in
Hell and thus resurrected and broke the curse of Hell for all those who
believe in Him (God cursed the spirit man to dust after Adman sinned).
Bible says He did not resurrect on the same day nor after 3 days but after
2 and half days. Hell is not a natural place or a place on earth to have
earthly days / time, yet He resurrected as per earthly promised time as
explained in Daniel (time, time and half) showing when He will come again.
He did not resurrect after 3 days showing us the sign of Jonah, sparing us
from wickedness. His coming again day is known by His resurrection on the
third day, but not the hour.

Today’s message shows Jesus avoided the Jews when He came to know they
plotted to kill Him, not because He feared death but because He had a time,
way and purpose for His death.

Let us acknowledge our perfect God who does all things in its perfect time
and let us also be like Him doing things in its time, not according to our
desires but according to His – who is perfect.

[Prayer Starter]
Father God You are Holy God. You alone are perfect and in your Will we find
perfection. We pray Lord not our will or our desires be done but your Will
and your desires be fulfilled in us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 2:25-38

Matthew 8:29 And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with
thee, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?

Matthew 26:18 And he said, Go into the city to such a man, and say unto
him, The Teacher saith, My time is at hand; I keep the passover at thy
house with my disciples.

Daniel 12:6-9
6 And [one] said to the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters
of the river, How long [shall it be to] the end of these wonders?
7 And I heard the man clothed in linen, which [was] upon the waters of the
river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and
sware by him that liveth for ever that [it shall be] for a time, times, and
an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of the
holy people, all these [things] shall be finished.
8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what [shall
be] the end of these [things]?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words [are] closed up and
sealed till the time of the end.

Luke 12:38-40
38 And if he shall come in the second watch, and if in the third, and find
[them] so, blessed are those [servants].
39 But know this, that if the master of the house had known in what hour
the thief was coming, he would have watched, and not have left his house to
be broken through.
40 Be ye also ready: for in an hour that ye think not the Son of man
cometh.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 3 Elaine14
The axe is laid unto the root of the trees

Matthew 3:10 And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees:
therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and
cast into the fire.

Today’s message talks of the axe being laid to the root of the trees. Who
are the trees?

In Isaiah 40:6-7 the Word of God says all mankind are like grass and the
good they do is like flowers of these category plants (grass) which look
good and fade away not bearing fruit. When the time comes the grass is cut
and it withers away.

Isaiah 37:27 goes on to state there are 3 categories of grasses those of
the field, those like shrubs and those that grow on rooftops. The
difference between a normal grass and shrub is that normal grass has one
stub while shrubs has many, even though the shrub is one yet it looks many.
Psalms 92:7 talks of the wicked like shrubs that flourish. Psalms 129:4-7
on the other hand says those who come against the people of God are like
grass on rooftops which are cut or are consumed even before they see their
age. It is these rooftop grass that Jesus spoke of being burnt.

Those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ are like trees and not grass.
Note the axe (of Judgment) is not placed to root of the grass but placed on
the root of the trees. It says those trees that do not bear fruit will be
cut and cast into the fire, but the fruit bearing trees will not be harmed.

In Revelation 9:4 the period of anguish between Rapture and Judgment Day,
it says the grass is spared and so also the fruit bearing trees but those
trees which do not bear fruit will see suffering. Jesus warned either be
warm or be cold but those who are lukewarm will be spit out.

Today in the ‘holy week’ we stand between the death and resurrection of
Jesus Christ. The Lord is telling us as we know of His resurrection
tomorrow let us also acknowledge His Judgment. He who has died and
resurrected thus qualified to sit on the Judgment Seat will judge the
trees. Let us not be those trees that do not bear fruit for they will face
more suffering that the grass.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God Almighty. You Lord sacrificed much for the salvation of
mankind. The suffering that we see through your crucifixion is not even a
fraction of the suffering You went through for mankind. Bible says You
became a sacrifice from the foundation of creation and died for us while we
were yet sinners. We pray Lord we bear fruit with the help of the Holy
Spirit so that we see eternal life...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 40:6-7
6 The voice said, Cry. And he said, What shall I cry? All flesh [is]
grass, and all the goodliness thereof [is] as the flower of the field:
7 The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD
bloweth upon it: surely the people [is] grass.

Isaiah 37:27 Therefore their inhabitants [were] of small power, they were
dismayed and confounded: they were [as] the grass of the field, and [as]
the green herb, [as] the grass on the housetops, and [as corn] blasted
before it be grown up.

Psalms 90:3-6, Psalms 103:15-16

Psalms 92:7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers
of iniquity do flourish; [it is] that they shall be destroyed for ever:

Psalms 129:4-7
4 The LORD [is] righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.
5 Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.
6 Let them be as the grass [upon] the housetops, which withereth afore it
groweth up:
7 Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves
his bosom.

Matthew 6:30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to
day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, [shall he] not much more
[clothe] you, O ye of little faith?

Revelation 9:4 And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the
grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only
those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads.

Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation
of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were
yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Grace not Graciously

Acts 5:9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together
to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried
thy husband [are] at the door, and shall carry thee out.

Christians talk of the grace of God and do many errors in their lives yet
get scout free because of God’s grace. If one notes their spiritual lives,
it is mostly low and stagnant. Ask this to those who are spiritually
maturing and they will not take the grace of God for granted. As one grows
in spirit the grace of God does not reduce but moves to another level and
the person is expected to be strong in those areas where the grace was
before.

David who was called as ‘one having the heart of God’ when he made mistakes
he was not spared but pulled up, we see as time passed the consequences of
his mistakes were more serious. This we will understand with his psalms
which project his spiritual growth.

In today’s scripture we see the couple Ananias and his wife Sapphira saw
instant judgment of the Lord not because of the crime they committed was
very grave. The reason why they were judged can sent shockwaves of terror
in the hearts of every Christian.

One needs to understand that all sins big or small is a sin so breaking any
Commandment is the same, i.e. killing or lying before the eyes of God is
the same. Jesus summarized all into two (and then merged both into one)
because they interconnect.

As we grow in the Lord indeed things are better but also judgment is
swifter, so let us not take God and His grace for granted.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God who is Merciful and Long-suffering (slow to
anger). Lord we pray we get it into us that we do not take You and your
grace for granted. We pray the fear of You be always be before us when we
step out of love that keeps us in You. We pray we remain in your Word thus
remain in your grace always...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 11: 22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them
which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in [his]
goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

2 Samuel 8-12

Acts 5:11-12
11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard
these things.
12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought
among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon’s porch.

Difference between Angels and Man

Revelation 22: 9 Then saith he unto me, See [thou do it] not: for I am thy
fellowservant, and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the
sayings of this book: worship God.

People know Angels are very powerful beings, Bible gives records of one
Angel wiping away thousands of human warriors. But when we get into the
common facts things get very interesting.

Angels are made in the image of God and thus called ‘Sons of God’,
similarly man before he sinned was called ‘Son of God’ and also when he
overcomes sin is called ‘Son of God’.

We need to note like we are simplex spirit beings in the flesh (one spirit
one being) similarly Angels too are simplex beings, but Cherub unlike
Angels are complex beings, they are thousands of spirits in one being
(denoted symbolically as eyes all over).

Angels being spirit beings can come as humans and do even basic human
activities like eating and sleeping, when coming to humans one man showed
he could transform and take the form of that of an Angel and that was Jesus
Christ when He transfigured. Jesus did this to confirm He overcame. He said
when we resurrect (after Judgment Day) we will be as the Angels in Heaven.
Paul too said just before Judgment takes place some of us will be
transformed in the air (Rapture) and then the Son of Man Jesus Christ will
come with His Angels in His glory.

When the Lord Jesus Christ humbled Himself and became man it is written He
took the form lower than the Angels. So although we have lots of common
factors with Angels yet we are lower than the Angels because we are made in
the flesh and are trapped in it by sin/corruption.

Adam and Eve before they sinned could access the Garden of Eden which
Revelation shows as in Heaven, flesh had no hold over them. Genesis talks
of two gardens one to the east of Eden which was on earth. It says man was
made in the second earthly garden and had access to the Garden of Eden /
Paradise which is in Heaven. But when he sinned he was driven out of Eden
and put in the garden where he was created. Cherubs were placed to the east
of Eden so as to ensure man could not access it. Here the terms ‘east’ is
not to do with direction, like Sons sits at the right hand of the Father
means the righteous side of the Father. West is towards righteousness and
East towards unrighteousness. Even north and south are also to do with
being closer or further from righteousness (the Throne of God / where His
glory is the most).

Man who was made lower than the Angels was made so that he would overcome
the fallen angels by being renewed in spirit (born again) and as Angels
inherit that which the fallen angels lost. The whole story is about the
Heavenly Temple being rebuild. The Heavenly Temple is the Body of the God
the Son for the Cherubs and Angels are part of Him. Heavenly wedding is
about man becoming a part of Him like the Angels and Cherub are.

Today’s message tells us about the step further when the Son returns to the
Father and becomes one with Him then the Angels too who have not seen the
Father (John 1:18 says no being has seen the father other than the Son)
will not only see Him but be one with Him, so also will we.

Today’s message talks of Angels being our fellow servants in the story of
salvation of man for it connects to theirs. If we get this understanding
then we would know how Men of God could assemble thousands of Angels in an
instant. That does not mean they will fight our battle but means they will
help us fight our battles.

So Bible scriptures which say when we help distressed humans we may be
ministering to Angels, it does not talk of Heavenly Angels coming in form
of humans but saved humans who one day will become Angels. Think of it
every day how many Angels are you communicating with, fellowshipping with
and how many Angels are you helping find their way to Heaven.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You are Light. You existed from the beginning. Yet
Bible says darkness existed before man and this natural creation was
created. When a third of the Angels went against your plans and created
darkness, You Lord created mere man who is lower than the Angels to
overcome darkness (the fallen angels) and not only inherit that which they
lost but more than that. We pray Lord we understand the purpose You created
us and not seek vain things...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Genesis 1:1-2

Genesis 2:8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there
he put the man whom he had formed.

Genesis 3:23-24

Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith
unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of
life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Matthew 22: 30 For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given
in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.

Matthew 17:1-2
1 And after six days Jesus taketh Peter, James, and John his brother, and
bringeth them up into an high mountain apart,
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and
his raiment was white as the light.

Revelation 10:1 And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven,
clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow [was] upon his head, and his face [was]
as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:

Revelation 19:10 And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto
me, See [thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that
have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the
spirit of prophecy.

John 1:18 No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is at the Father’s
side, he has made him known.

John 16:28 I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world:
again, I leave the world, and go to the Father.

He gathers He scatters

Zechariah 7: 14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind {rage} among all the
nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them, that no
man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.

Many years back I was told by the Lord to rebuke a Man of God and warn him
about his ways. I was shown the anger of God as a whirlwind (tornado). He
was a well-known and highly respected Man of God whose faith was just
admirable. It was through him I came to see the importance of the Word of
God also he was one of those who laughed (slyly) when I told him the Lord
asked me to study the mysteries of the Rosary for he knew the truth. But
due to some mistakes he made in his marriage he compromised the truth so as
to reconcile with is family.

When I went to his house and in private rebuked him, he who was always
smiling and cool headed person got angry and said ‘let it happen’. The very
next week he was hospitalized with a serious problem. His disciples who saw
him healing people regularly were shocked to see this happen to him. One of
them who considered himself his spiritual son was wailing on the road
opposite the hospital like someone died.

Even today after many ways he has not changed his ways although his
ministry has grown financially and spread in many places including abroad
yet he nor those whom he is ministering to have grown spiritually. What we
heard him preach almost 15-18 years back is what he teaches even today.
Like someone said to him that time, ‘Brother you are serving yesterday roti
(Indian bread) by warming it’.

If we find the same people we are ministering to years and years and are
ministering the same thing again and again then we better be warned.

Let us understand if we are not growing in the Lord there is a problem with
our relationship with the Lord. Just because our worldly life or ministry
is going financially good it does not mean our spiritual life is. Let us
always audit our spiritual life time to time and not wait for the day we
face the whirlwind that may spare us or consume us fully.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are an Awesome Loving God. You are patient God who is slow to
anger yet You Lord are known to get angry. In your anger You consume but
many a times give another opportunity for repentance. Lord we pray we do
not see that day where we face the whirlwind. We pray we discern our
spiritual lives time to time and see if we are growing in You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Isaiah 40:24 Yea, they shall not be planted; yea, they shall not be sown:
yea, their stock shall not take root in the earth: and he shall also blow
upon them, and they shall wither, and the whirlwind shall take them away as
stubble.

Jeremiah 23:19 Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD is gone forth in fury, even
a grievous whirlwind: it shall fall grievously upon the head of the wicked.

Law is for the unrighteous, ungodly, unholy sinner and is good

1 Timothy 1: 8,9 But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it
lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but
for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for
unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for
manslayers,

Ask a Christian if he or she is righteous, godly and holy? Instantly they
will confirm they are righteous, godly and holy. They do this without
understanding the meanings of these words. Yesterday there were people who
said the promises of God do not / necessarily come with conditions.
Conditions mean rule / law.

Today’s verse tells us the Law of the Lord (Word of God) was given to man
because man is unrighteous, ungodly and unholy. It is the Word of God that
instructs man how to bring the change. This change is not like an on/off
switch, it is like a plant that grows and over a period bears fruit.

We the people of God by the grace of God are chosen to be a righteous,
godly and holy people. The day the Word of God starts to take root in us we
start to shed our old nature and start to put on the nature of Christ.
Scriptures that say ‘put on the Lord Jesus Christ’ or say ‘in the Name of
Jesus Christ’ speak about putting or being in His Nature. It does not mean
we become like Him instantly but says we start changing and becoming like
Him bit by bit.

If we think the Law is not for us then we are claiming the Word of God is
not for us, we also claim to be righteous, godly and holy, something even
Jesus as man also did not claim (holiness), thus we land claiming to be
greater than Him.

Let us not confuse between the Law of the Lord and the law of man
(according to man’s misunderstanding). Paul in Romans wrote against the
later and not against the former.

Human law says if we do not follow it we will be punished but the Law of
the Lord is otherwise. Mankind due to sin was set for damnation and it is
the Law of the Lord that says if we do as instructed we will avoid
damnation and receive eternal life.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Holy, Righteous and Truth. You alone are Holy and there is
none like You. You gave us your Word because we who have fallen in your
eyes may be lifted up and restored to receive eternal life in You by
becoming righteous and godly in your eyes. Lord we pray we understand your
Law and abide in it so as to receive from it...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

1 Timothy 1:5-11

Psalms 19:7 The law of the LORD [is] perfect, converting the soul: the
testimony of the LORD [is] sure, making wise the simple {naive}.

Rosary - Chanting of Prayers or Scriptures or Forwarded Prayers

Matthew 6:7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen
[do]: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

I was born in a Catholic family and was initially a typical Catholic - an
‘out standing’ Catholic (standing out side or near the door). Later I
became a staunch, hardcore Catholic who would verbally attack others
(insult/mock/abuse) when they questioned my belief. I would not defend the
belief for I myself was not sure of things, but was very passionate of the
little I knew.

Later as I joined the charismatic ministry and started getting into
scriptures my life started changing, the Lord started talking to me (I was
unaware then). The Lord put in my heart to study the mysteries of the
Rosary (which I would chant daily that too with great emotions; at time
with tears unlike normal Catholics). Then I started asking people whom I
knew for information on the mysteries, one person even gave me a book that
had every detail but those who knew laughed when I told them the Lord
inspired me to do this. As I studied the mysteries they indeed became
mysteries for I did not find scriptures to back most of them. Then I went
back to the Lord with surprise asking to explain and it was then by a
vision the Lord open it up to me and I was shocked to know the deceit
behind it. The Lord exposed the so called ‘Mother Mary’ whom the Catholics
worship and also the ‘mischief’ of the Catholic Church and from that day
started my exit from the Catholic Church’. It was the Lord that took me out
of that Church like He did to Paul from the Jewish Church.

None of the prayers that are recited in the so called Rosary are
scriptural. They take bits and pieces from different places, twist them,
add to them; in other words distort scriptures. In most places they mock
Godhead and the truth. Chanting Rosary on beads is like sitting before God
and unknowingly abusing Him.

Beads are not restricted to the Catholic Church, this came from the heathen
system. Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism etc. all have beads associated to
prayers. Most claim it is only for tracking while reciting prayers but they
do not deny it as being ‘sacred’ / ‘holy’ by them and used also for
protection.

Praying on beads or repeatedly chanting of prayers is one of the greatest
weapon used by Satan to destroy people. It is his most powerful tool to
destroy faith the key thing that bring us into the grace of God and saves
us. The scripture Romans 10:7 which states ‘faith comes by hearing and
hearing the Word of God’ is a mistranslation, the first ‘hearing’ is in
passive tense and second is in active tense. Many translation the second
‘hearing’ as ‘hearing by’ but in English really means ‘listening’. Faith
comes by following that which we hear the Word of God speak to us.

If we look at the incident of the widow and the Judge. Even though the
Judge gave into the persistent pleas of the widow, yet the scripture ends
with ‘when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith’.

Even if we recite or declare scriptures we need to understand we are not
telling them to God, He has not forgotten them or is not deaf; we say more
for ourselves to believe in them and receive the promise given in them.

When we pray God knows even before we speak out, for He hears ours
thoughts, the desires of our hearts. In personal prayer we do not even need
to speak out if our faith is strong, we speak them out for our confirmation
so as to build our faith and when we are praying together it encourages to
build others’ faith.

Let us not kill the purpose of our prayers by vain repetition. Let us also
give thought to what we speak, and discern them with scriptures for God
only understands the language of faith.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Spirit and You do not have ears like that of man, that You
need to hear our voice. You Lord know the hearts of man for our thoughts
and desires are louder than our voice. Lord we pray we grow in faith and
become men of authority like Jesus Christ and learn to say the most
powerful prayer ‘Thank You Father’ like Jesus did...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of
God.

Luke 18:1-8
1 And he spake a parable unto them [to this end], that men ought always to
pray, and not to faint {to be utterly spiritless};
2 Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither
regarded man:
3 And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying,
Avenge me of mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself,
Though I fear not God, nor regard man;
5 Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her
continual coming she weary me.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith.
7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto
him, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son
of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

James 5:15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall
raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

Failure is not the end

Romans 14:4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own
master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able
to make him stand.

In HR and People Management talks we always here failure is an experience
and a step to greater success. If we read the lives of almost all
successful business men and even research men started with failures. It is
not just a single failure but there are very, very few who did not
experience multiple failures before they saw the face of success.

In the Bible we see the same story repeated again and again with Men of
God, that too with a Man who is led by the Lord and yet makes mistakes and
faces correction and then succeeds. The list goes on and on with everyone
leaving for Jesus who did not sin.

Mistake and sin are two different things, mistake would mean an unfruitful
thing while sin would mean something that goes against the Nature of God.
Jesus did make a mistake by listening to His mother under pressure to turn
water into wine. This is the only miracle where He did not glorify the
Father but caused people to glorify Him. This one mistake is till today
misused by the Catholic Church to venerate Mary and by drunkards to drink
alcohol (even though He turned water to grape juice and not even wine).

In NT we have a case of last moment success of the robber crucified with
Jesus being assured Salvation (entry in Heaven) just because he believed
and openly confessed Christ as Lord and will come in glory on Judgment Day.

In OT we have two classic cases of failure turns success at the last minute
in King Saul and Samson. Saul had erred greatly so much that the Spirit of
God left him but on the last day the spirit of Samuel told him he and his
sons would be with him (saved/asleep in the Lord) and this happened because
Saul killed himself for he did not want the Philistines to mutilate his
living body since he was once upon a time anointed Man of God. It was also
for this reason David unknowingly respected Saul even though he hated him
for making his life miserable.

There are also cases of Men of God in the OT who did great wonders or saw
great glory of God but when they died they were not gathered unto their
fathers / slept in the Lord. Their testimony are shared even today in
Churches yet people are unaware of their grave failure.

My first case of ministering saw a sick woman not being healed but saved at
the last moment before she slept. I have other cases of people I ministered
too where the Lord on their death confirmed that their lives were a success
even though all their lives they faced failures and struggles.

Let us never make the mistake of judging people as going to Hell or even
confident they will go to Heaven. For who know when a person will fall and
when a fallen person will stand. It is for this reason Paul said workout
your salvation with fear and trembling.

Let us not take our salvation for granted nor condemn another for we are
not saved nor doomed forever until the day we die without faith or sleep
being in the faith. Let us live like tomorrow would be out last day on this
world so let us always be prepared to sleep in Him.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Holy, Righteous and Truth. It is only
through You and with your help we are saved, yet You only save those who
keep your image / nature or try to remain in it. Lord we pray we put on the
Name / Nature of Jesus Christ so that we are assured our salvation. We also
pray we do not err by condemning another that thus lose the grace that
saves us...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 23:39-43
39 And one of the malefactors which were hanged railed on him, saying, If
thou be Christ, save thyself and us.
40 But the other answering rebuked him, saying, Dost not thou fear God,
seeing thou art in the same condemnation?
41 And we indeed justly; for we receive the due reward of our deeds: but
this man hath done nothing amiss.
42 And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou comest into thy
kingdom.
43 And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To {that} day shalt
thou be with me in paradise.

1 Samuel 28:15,19

1 Samuel 31:1-4

Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother
without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say
to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever
shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

2 Corinthians 7:15 And his inward affection is more abundant toward you,
whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling
ye received him.

Philippians 2:12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as
in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own
salvation with fear and trembling.

Tearing the Paschal Sacrifice

John 19: 23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his
garments, and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also [his]
coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

These week we will see a sad thing of how human traditions over write
scriptures throughout all Churches. Christians follow Catholic beliefs and
traditions and try to justify them by twisting the meaning of scriptures.

Churches will celebrate ‘Palm Sunday’ tomorrow even though scripturally it
was last Sunday. Wednesday they will celebrate the Last Supper although it
is supposed to be today - Saturday. On Friday they will celebrate the
crucifixion of Jesus Christ although He was crucified on Thursday. Lastly
on Sunday they will celebrate Easter Sunday the birthday of goddess
Ashtoreth instead of Resurrection Sunday the Resurrection of the Lord Jesus
Christ. So what are they actually celebration? Are they not tearing the
sacrifice and mocking it like the soldiers did to the garments of Jesus
Christ?

Jesus entered Jerusalem a week before celebration of the Passover week and
the Unleavened Bread week which were celebrated together by most Jews
although scripturally the week of Unleavened Bread was to be celebrated
after the week of Passover. This change happened from the time Israel was
ruled by Babylonians.

The Feast of Unleavened Bread was a week wherein they were forbidden to
keep or consume yeast and the week started on the evening of the previous
Sabbath (Jews celebrated evening to evening because of their
misunderstanding of Genesis 1).

The Passover week started with keeping the Paschal lamb under observation
for 5 days and on the fifth day evening it was killed. That meant the
evening before the start of the 5 days it was bought into the house. Jesus
was arrested in the evening after He celebrated the first day of the Feast
of Unleavened Bread which is famously known as the ‘Last Supper’ and was a
Sabbath (Saturday evening). He was tortured by the Jewish Church and by the
Roman authority for 5 days. Even after that He was condemned to being
crucified on Thursday evening the day before the Passover (High Sabbath).
So He truly became the Paschal Lamb slain for the sins of the world. He
resurrected on the third day that is on Sunday noon (before 3 days got over
- the sign of Jonah that is 3 days was for the evil people thus He
resurrected before the day ended showing the grace of God - all this has to
do with His coming again).

Easter Sunday is a pagan Roman celebration of the birth of their goddess
Ashtoreth and was celebrated on Resurrection Sunday by the Roman Catholic
Church so as to make it an important day in all Rome. It landed with
Christians celebrating the pagan feast instead of pagan celebrating the
Christian feast (Easter eggs, Easter bunnies, pigeon etc.). In Acts the
word Pascha / Paschal is mistranslated as Easter.

Let us follow scriptures thus celebrating Christ and not celebrate vanity.
Let us not be like the 4 soldiers who tore the garments of Jesus Christ
showing they desired to keep them not that they needed it, they did it just
to mock Him, but the good outer robe they did not tear, they casted lots.
Let us not claim the benefits of the Paschal Lamb and Resurrection of
Christ while mocking His sacrifice.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Holy God. You asked us who are your children to
be holy for You are Holy. Lord we pray we discern things according to your
Word and not do vanity in your name. We pray You open the eyes of your
people and by your grace let them see the truth...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Mark 14:1,12

prepare that thou mayest eat the passover?

Matthew 26:18-21

John 19:14 And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth
hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!

John 19:31 The Jews therefore, because it was the preparation, that the
bodies should not remain upon the cross on the sabbath day, (for that
sabbath day was an high day,) besought Pilate that their legs might be
broken, and [that] they might be taken away.

Matthew 12:39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous
generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it,
but the sign of the prophet Jonas:

Mark 9:31 For he taught his disciples, and said unto them, The Son of man
is delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and after that
he is killed, he shall rise the third day.

the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Acts 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put [him] in prison, and
delivered [him] to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending
after Easter {Pascha} to bring him forth to the people.

Testimony does not assure Heaven

Hebrews 11: 39 And all these, having obtained a good testimony through
faith, did not receive the promise,

This is a hard fact which very few people will digest; just because we have
a great testimony in Christ it does not mean we will go to Heaven.

Today’s message talks of those who suffered in Christ and yet it says they
did not receive the promise. One will wonder how God can be so merciless to
not reward Heaven for those who suffer in His name. This can be understood
with the two lots of Israelites who exited out of Egypt and traveled to the
Promised Land (symbolizing Heaven). The first lot saw more miracles and
wonders then the second generation, they also suffered and were persecuted
for being Israelites but with their non-stop murmuring and black-sliding
caused the Lord blot out their names from the Book of Life.

How are we sure of this?

All the Men of God when they died it is written they were gathered to their
people but those who were not in the Lord when they died it is written
simply they died. With the first lot leaving for Moses, Aaron, Joshua and
Caleb all the other when they died it is simply written ‘they died’ but
when the second generation of Israelites died it is written they all were
all ‘gathered to their people’ / ‘slept with his fathers’. It is the same
as Stephen ‘slept’ after death in the NT.

The Ark of Covenant of the OT is the shadow of the Cross of Christ. The
Israelites had to carry it to enter the Promised Land. If we indeed want to
enter the Heaven we need to carry the Cross of Christ. Suffering as a
Christian or as a person is not the Cross of Christ but taking salvation
unto others is the Cross of Christ. The Cross of Christ can be studied by
the things that were kept in the Ark of Covenant.

Let us get it into us we need to Christians which is Disciples of Christ to
be assured of Heaven. Just because we accepted Christ or the religion
Christianity we will not go to Heaven. Heaven is not such a place or gift.
Jesus said unless we die we will not receive life, unless we do not
overcome we will not receive the access to the Tree of Life / River of Life
(source to eternal life - which is in Heaven).

The Greek word ekklesia translated as Church does not mean a gathering of
people (as told) but means a group of people on a mission that means unless
we are not doing the mission of Christ we are not Church and only those who
are Church will be His Bride and go to Heaven.

It is time we wake up and be Christian, we be sheep and not the goats in
the flock. We are indeed saved by grace but taking the grace we received
from grace for granted will not save but bring greater condemnation on us.
God does not ask us to work for our salvation but the gift of
grace/salvation we have received we need to let others receive it too. Like
the parable of talents we need to invest for profit into others.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty and Merciful God. Your mercy can not be taken for
granted thus You said You will have mercy or whom You will and not have
mercy of whom You do not will. Your Will is key to salvation and it is only
when we carry your Will like your Son did that we will be assured of our
inheritance in You. We pray we learn to daily carry your Cross and follow
You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Exodus 32:32-33
32 Yet now, if thou wilt forgive their sin — ; and if not, blot me, I pray
thee, out of thy book which thou hast written.
33 And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him
will I blot out of my book.

Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they
bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

Judges 2:8-10
8 And Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died, [being] an
hundred and ten years old.
9 And they buried him in the border of his inheritance in Timnathheres, in
the mount of Ephraim, on the north side of the hill Gaash.
10 And also all that generation were gathered unto their fathers: and
there arose another generation after them, which knew not the LORD, nor yet
the works which he had done for Israel.

Joshua 5:4 And this [is] the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the
people that came out of Egypt, [that were] males, [even] all the men of
war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt.

Numbers 27:13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto
thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered.

Genesis 25:8 Then Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age,
an old man, and full [of years]; and was gathered to his people.

1 Kings 2:10 So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city
of David.

1 Kings 14:31 And Rehoboam slept with his fathers, and was buried with his
fathers in the city of David. And his mother’s name [was] Naamah an
Ammonitess. And Abijam his son reigned in his stead.

Luke 9:22-26
22 Saying, The Son of man must suffer many things, and be rejected of the
elders and chief priests and scribes, and be slain, and be raised the third
day.
23 And he said to [them] all, If any [man] will come after me, let him
deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.
24 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose
his life for my sake, the same shall save it.
25 For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose
himself, or be cast away?
26 For whosoever shall be ashamed of me and of my words, of him shall the
Son of man be ashamed, when he shall come in his own glory, and [in his]
Father’s, and of the holy angels.

Formulae of healing which Preachers misuse

Mark 8:23,24 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the
town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he
asked him if he saw ought. And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees,
walking.

In Countries like Nigeria, USA and now also spread to India, we find some
charismatic Preachers doing crazy things and healing people. They walk over
people, hit people where they need healing, lashing at them with their
coats, getting people to roll on the floor laughing, do real crazy stuff,
yet we see healings do take place (but no change in people’s hearts).

Before becoming a Believer I was a Catholic and part of a charismatic
ministry and we saw so many miracles and healings happening even though
people had no understanding of scriptures and did not really know God. We
also find lots of healings happening when a famous Preacher has a great
event with a large worship team but these same Preachers when their near
dear ones have personal problems they struggle to get them healed. The
testimony of Smith Wigglesworth a famous Preacher of early 1900s is worth
reading for it gives an understanding to this since he was very famous for
healing people by hitting them where they needed healing. Later his own
wife died of sickness for he could not heal her, he then understood it was
not his theatrical that healed them but it was faith that did.

Jesus always said faith healed and those who were strong in faith like the
Roman Commander, Jesus only had to speak and his servant who was far away
was healed. At times it is faith in God or in the Man of God or in that
which is done in the name of God that heals. Laying of hands or putting oil
is not necessary to heal (many just touch with finger and heal) but since
physical touch or actions encourage the person to build faith (in the
person healing or that what they do) it gets the job done. Preaching the
Word, worship, sharing of testimonies (anointing with olive oil actually
means sharing testimony) or long praying with cries are the most common
means by which faith can be increased for the healing.

Today’s message and scriptures like Mark 7:32-37 we see Jesus did not
plainly speak or lay hands and heal the person. When Jesus cursed/warned of
disaster people like the Pharisees, Sadducees and that of certain places we
see He spoke of people of these places where the events happened. These
people had no faith (Mark 7: 32-37 region of Tyre, Mark 8: 21-25 Bethsaida
of Galilee).

Like faith helps in healing so also faithlessness can hinder healing. Jesus
had to take the person out of the vicinity of faithlessness and also do
non-standard things just to break the faithlessness so as to get the
healing done.

Preachers use the formulae for healing people and people think it is the
power/ anointing of the Man of God that did these incredible healings.

What heals is God’s mercy and this mercy can be accessed either by
suffering and pleading with God over a long period or immediately by faith
(which means believing in the truth). Psalms 85:10 shares this great secret
of the two Siamese twins, where one can be got by tapping into the other.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and a Merciful God. Your Mercy can not be taken for
granted and You said You will have mercy (in varying quantities) on whom
You desire. But this mercy is available to us if we have faith. Since Truth
was revealed through Jesus Christ we see grace (all the mercy required)
also came through Him. Lord we pray we are not deceived by Preachers we
misuse their anointing or understanding of scriptures to mislead people for
worldly desires...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Mark 8:21-25
21 And he said unto them, How is it that ye do not understand?
22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and
besought him to touch him.
23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and
when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if
he saw ought.
24 And he looked up, and said, I see men as trees, walking.
25 After that he put [his] hands again upon his eyes, and made him look
up: and he was restored, and saw every man clearly.

Mark 7:32-37
32 And they bring unto him one that was deaf, and had an impediment in his
speech; and they beseech him to put his hand upon him.
33 And he took him aside from the multitude, and put his fingers into his
ears, and he spit, and touched his tongue;
34 And looking up to heaven, he sighed, and saith unto him, Ephphatha,
that is, Be opened.
35 And straightway his ears were opened, and the string of his tongue was
loosed, and he spake plain.
36 And he charged them that they should tell no man: but the more he
charged them, so much the more a great deal they published [it];
37 And were beyond measure astonished, saying, He hath done all things
well: he maketh both the deaf to hear, and the dumb to speak.

Acts 14:8-10
8 And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a
cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked:
9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving
that he had faith to be healed,
10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and
walked.

Acts 5:15-16
15 Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid
[them] on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing
by might overshadow some of them.
16 There came also a multitude [out] of the cities round about unto
Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean
spirits: and they were healed every one.

Acts 19:11-12
11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
12 insomuch that unto the sick were carried away from his body
handkerchiefs or aprons, and the evil spirits went out.

Matthew 11:21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if
the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon,
they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.

Mark 6:4-6
4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his
own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.
5 And he could there do no mighty work, save that he laid his hands upon a
few sick folk, and healed [them].
6 And he marvelled because of their unbelief. And he went round about the
villages, teaching.

Psalms 85:10 Mercy and truth are met together; Righteousness and peace
have kissed each other.

Judge not another man’s servant

Romans 14: 4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own
master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able
to make him stand.

Today’s message does not speak against judging but says we have no right to
judge another man’s servant symbolizing here as those who worship other
gods.

Does that means we can judge those who are Christians?

The answer is YES and NO.

YES: The Greek word translated as judge here is ‘kirno’ which actually
means to separate, in other words discern. We are called to discern those
who call themselves Christians but do not live a Christian lives. Those who
deceive others to follow carnal things or even other gods under the hood of
Christian traditions / (false) teachings. That does not mean we condemn
them outright in public. First we are called to warn them in private if
they do not mend their ways then we take two or more brethren and speak to
them and if that too does not bear fruit, then address them before the
Church and yet they do not repent of their ways, we are simply called to
declare them as non-Christians and let the Church be mindful of their ways.

NO: What we are NOT called to do is judge them as going to Hell. We cannot
sit in the Judgment Throne of Christ for He alone is found worthy as Son of
Man to sit in judgment of souls. If we do that then we too are in danger of
losing the grace that saves us since they could be people like Saul of NT
who changed when the Lord touched him, or even Saul of the OT who repented
on his last moment of death for Samuel to tell him that he and his sons
would be with him and David to respect Saul as Man of God even when the
Holy Spirit had left Saul.

The verse Matthew 5:22 where Jesus says those who say ‘you fool’ or ‘racca’
are in danger of council and hell fire respectively does not means the
English terms ‘fool’ or ‘rascal’. The Greek root meanings of these words
are those who do not have a spirit (spiritually dead / condemned to Hell)
and the other means those who have an evil spirit.

We ourselves cannot condemn a person to Hell nor state he or she has an
evil spirit unless the Lord reveals it to us; this too needs to be confirms
very carefully that it is not our spirit but the Holy Spirit speaking to us
knowing the dangers of making a mistake.

Coming to unbelievers Bible says they are already judged and they will
suffer their doings in Hell so we are no one to judge them. We can only
warn them of the judgment so that they know God, accept Him and be saved.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. You created all beings that live.
Even though You created them You do not impart death or eternal life to
them, You allow them to make a choice of life or death. You Lord only judge
those who know You and have received your Word. It is your Word and your
Spirit that exposes their hearts and condemns them before You. We pray Lord
we know between judging and discerning and know whom to discern in
accordance to your Word...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 14:1-5, 11-13
1 Him that is weak in the faith receive ye, [but] not to doubtful
disputations.
2 For one believeth that he may eat all things: another, who is weak,
eateth herbs.
3 Let not him that eateth despise him that eateth not; and let not him
which eateth not judge him that eateth: for God hath received him.
4 Who art thou that judgest another man’s servant? to his own master he
standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make
him stand.
5 One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day
[alike]. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind.
11 For it is written, [As] I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to
me, and every tongue shall confess to God.
12 So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God.
13 Let us not therefore judge one another any more: but judge this rather,
that no man put a stumblingblock or an occasion to fall in [his] brother’s
way.

1 Corinthians 5:12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are
without? do not ye judge them that are within?

Matthew 5:22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother
without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say
to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever
shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 3 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin on Mon 08 Apr 2019, 7:34 pm

Truth comes from the Holy Spirit

John 7:40 Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said,
Of a truth this is the Prophet.

Yesterday’s message was strong meat, so also is today’s message.

I have mentioned before about the 3 Fruits of the Spirit - Truth,
Righteousness and Holiness which are not mentioned in Galatians 5:22-23 but
mentioned in Ephesians 5:9. These 3 unlike the 9 are purely gifted to us
from the Holy Spirit, Son and Father respectively (some 9 Fruits need to be
grown though they in some quantity can be received as gifts for a period).

Today’s scripture talks of people noticing truth in the speech of Jesus
even though they had not received the Holy Spirit and thus called Him a
Prophet.

Like in a ‘Treasure Hunt’ game one needs to find the first treasure and
then only can find the second and thereafter the third and so on...
Similarly unless we do not have the Truth we will not receive Righteousness
and without Truth and Righteousness we cannot receive Holiness.
Righteousness means to be in right standing with God and if we do not know
God, His Kingdom fully can we claim to be in right standing? That is why
the more we know the truth the more we are able to walk in the path of the
truth and thus be righteous. But this righteousness is just an image of the
true righteous of the Son since it will come only when the Truth is
complete in us.

God alone is Holy. Holiness means perfection / complete and no being is
perfect. God the Son, when He humbled Himself / gave up His glory and
became man said He is not perfect. The Son experienced corruption when a
third of the Angels fell. Perfection / Holiness is not about having or not
having sin but about being complete. Sin corrupts the spirit being thus
does not allow holiness. Nothing corrupt can dwell before Holiness for it
will not live.

Bible says no being (including the Angels) has seen the Father other than
the Son before He humbled Himself (it is believed no being can dwell before
the Father unless he is Holy). Man who had access to Heaven was deprived
when he lost the Fruit of Truth and Righteousness after eating of the Tree
of Good and Bad (Doubt).

People mistake holiness with purity, one can be pure yet not holy.
Cleanliness and completeness are two different things. Perfection needs
purity but one can attain purity without perfection.

Jesus as man was without sin and even though He had the complete image of
God in Him yet was not complete for He had given up His glory and humbled
Himself. At the end when He finishes His task of restoring renewed man’s
access to Heaven and becoming one in Him, He will receive back His glory
from the Father and becoming one with the Father He will be complete again.
When we read Genesis 3:22 will this understanding the scripture explodes to
reveal when the Son humbled Himself and how man could stand before God (the
Son) and yet not die.

Bible says at the end we will be not only restored to God the Son (become
Heavenly Angels / The Heavenly Temple restored) but will also become one
with the Father (we along with the Heavenly Angels). Proverbs 8:22-33
captures this partly, very beautifully.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and there is none other than You. A part of You humbled
and created man so as to restore the Heavenly Temple. Mere man who is like
worm is lifted up and made higher than an Angel to be partaker of your
glory. Lord we pray this understanding be rooted in us so that overcoming
the things of this world will be easier…

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Galatians 3:22-23
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
gentleness, goodness, faith,
23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Genesis 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of
us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take
also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

John 1:18 No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the Father’s
bosom {creek}, he has declared him.

Proverbs 8:22-33
22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of
old.
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth
was.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no
fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest
part of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon
the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the
fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his
commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30 Then I was by him, [as] one brought up [with him]: and I was daily
[his] delight, rejoicing always before him;
31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights [were]
with the sons of men.
32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed [are they
that] keep my ways.
33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.

Teleportation

Acts 8:39, 40 And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of
the Lord caught away Philip, that the eunuch saw him no more: and he went
on his way rejoicing. But Philip was found at Azotus: and passing through
he preached in all the cities, till he came to Caesarea.

Those who have seen Star Trek movies / serials would know about the
teleporter called ‘Transporter’ which cause people to dematerialize at one
place and rematerialize at another place, moving people across large
distance in an instance.

In today’s message we read of something that seems to be something like
that, for Philip is caught away by the Holy Spirit and appears in another
town. Here the word used as caught away is the Greek word ‘harpazo’ which
means ‘seized’ or ‘taken without one’s will’. So it says Philip did not go
there but was carried away or taken without him knowing. He was not
airlifted since the next verse say he found himself in Azotus, so it was in
an instance that he appeared in another place. This this supernaturally
possible?

Let us understand (which is a little solid food/meat) God works
supernaturally, He works within His laws. That means He does not instantly
create anything but brings forth that which He has already set.
Supernatural means happening of the unimaginable, one in a billion,
trillion and that is why even miracles can be scientifically studied. When
the fallen angels disturbed this law before the floods of Noah (the women
did not have physical intercourse with the fallen angels who are spirit
beings) it was then they lost their position with the Lord, made void of
their powers (including that of the Beast/Young Lion/Prince of Tyrus;
leaving that of the Dragon/Lucifer/King of Tyrus who is bound in Hell) and
were called devils.

Scientifically it is possible to teleport an object, that is dematerialize
an object from a place and rematerialize the same object at another place
and science is trying that since years. What really happens is the object
is deconstructed at it molecular level and its exact copy is made at the
destination. Science sees everything as information and energy. Science may
possibly be able to teleport the body of a person but not a living person
for life (spirit) in not something man can create, teleport or even
destroy; nor do Angels, neither even Cherubs can create life or destroy
life (spirit). Holy Spirit being God can but He does not create any new
life (spirit) other than that which He has created in the beginning;
destruction of spirit man or Angels also He does not. In Hell or on
Judgment Day the spirits (of man and of fallen angles, including that of
the fallen cherubs) are punished till its life’s span (only God has eternal
life in Himself).

Before man sinned, man had the ability to teleport for he had access to
Heaven thus clothing was not necessary for he was not restricted by the
natural flesh thus did not see his nakedness although he was naked. A
spirit beings like Angels are not restricted to dimensions of natural
space. Jesus as man showed this ability to move between natural and
spiritual being during His transfiguration, it was a confirmation of Him
being without sin and being an overcomer. Rapture is when man (collectively
those alive and in the Lord) know the Truth (the two witnesses fulfil
this), become overcomers and transfigure. In the case of Philip this was a
miracle done not by his ability but by the help of God (Holy Spirit).

There are very few times God has stretched the probability of His set
natural laws to the extreme like Noah’s flood, causing the Sun and Moon
(hosts of Heaven) to stay still during Joshua, move the Earth in reverse
10degrees during Hezekiah, but then confirmed He would not do it again.

There have been claims of miraculously teleported by the power of God from
a place to another (without evidence). It is not that it is not possible
but can be done by Him alone and not by our spiritual maturity/authority
unlike healings or deliverance.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. You alone are Creator. Man gives birth to a spirit that
already existed. We pray we know You more and more and understand You laws
more and more. We pray we know nothing is impossible for You yet You work
within natural laws made by You. We pray we know nothing is impossible for
You and in extreme situation did not hesitate to do the extreme...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 6:1-2
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the
earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they [were] fair; and
they took them wives of all which they chose.

Genesis 9:11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all
flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any
more be a flood to destroy the earth.

Joshua 10:12-14
12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the
Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel,
Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon.
13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had
avenged themselves upon their enemies. [Is] not this written in the book of
Jasher? So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go
down about a whole day.
14 And there was no day like that before it or after it, that the LORD
hearkened unto the voice of a man: for the LORD fought for Israel.

2 Kings 20:9-11
9 And Isaiah said, This sign shalt thou have of the LORD, that the LORD
will do the thing that he hath spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten
degrees, or go back ten degrees?
10 And Hezekiah answered, It is a light thing for the shadow to go down
ten degrees: nay, but let the shadow return backward ten degrees.
11 And Isaiah the prophet cried unto the LORD: and he brought the shadow
ten degrees backward, by which it had gone down in the dial of Ahaz.

Matthew 17:2,9
2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and
his raiment was white as the light.
9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying,
Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the
dead.

Washed, Sanctified and Justified - the Race of Salvation

1 Corinthians 6:11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are
sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the
Spirit of our God.

The last time (25 April 2018) I got this verse I learnt the term used for
washed here is a compound word ‘apolouo’ which means washed and separated.
Also the term wash here is not washing with water or bathing, it is term
used to clean a wound or cleaning a dead body. So it is not talking of an
instant process having instant results, but start of a process that takes
time (we get healed of our corrupt nature and die to our sins).

Sanctified means to dedicate. It means set for a purpose and the purpose
needs to be done. Here too it does not talk of an instant result but a
start of a process that goes on. We are saved for a purpose and not for our
own benefit alone.

Justified means to make righteous. Are we made righteous when we believe in
Christ? This answer is found in the grammar of this word. The TVM (Tense
Voice Mood) of this word is Aorist (past, present, future together),
Passive and Indicative. It means we were called to be righteous when we
were made. Righteousness is Fruit of the Spirit and one of the 3 Fruits
(Truth, Righteousness and Holiness) of the Holy Spirit which are not
mentioned in Galatians 5:21-22 but mentioned separately in Ephesians 5:9.
Unlit other Fruits these are gifted to us. We lost the Fruit when man
sinned by eating of the fruit of the Tree of Doubt (Good and Bad) this
caused man to lose the Fruit of Truth and when Truth is lost Righteous too
was lost.

Jesus by His sacrifice paid the price for us and made peace between God and
man so that we receive His Spirit and by His Spirit of Truth we come to
know the Truth and thus receive the Fruit of Righteousness.

Although we will receive the Fruit of Righteousness on Judgment Day yet we
are called the righteous of God for we are called / marked to be recipients
of the Fruit (Mood is Indicative). This claim can happen only if we walk in
the truth (that what we know) and attempt to live a righteous life (Voice
is Passive).

When we are baptized in Christ we do not become Christians but start the
process of becoming Christians. Christianity is a process or journey a
person takes. What matters is not completing the journey (which only two of
us do at the end – and these two satisfy God) but about being on the
journey. The day we hop out of this journey/ backslide we do not account to
be Christians. It does not mean we cannot repent and return but this is
only possible if we are not dead. So what matters is when we die were we on
the journey of being Christian or not. It is for this reason Paul compares
this journey to a race. This race is not about being first or last but
about completion, all who complete are rewarded.

Today’s message says we as Christians are in the process of spiritual
healing, we are appointed to a task (spreading the Gospel and making
Disciples for Christ) and receivers of His Righteousness while living it,
by the Name (Nature) of Jesus Christ and by His Spirit, so as to enter
Heaven again.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God, who is Holy, Righteous and Truth. Lord we pray Lord we
understand our purpose in You and understand we are on a journey in You
with the help of your Spirit who keeps us in You / in your Name (Nature).
Lord we pray we remain in this journey and do not fall back or backslide so
as to lose our salvation in You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Revelation 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith
unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of
life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God.

Revelation 22:14 Blessed [are] they that do his commandments, that they
may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into
the city.

1 Corinthians 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but
one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

Hebrews 12:1-2
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of
witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily
beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith; who for the
joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is
set down at the right hand of the throne of God.

We live in tents

Haggai 2:1 In the seventh [month], in the one and twentieth [day] of the
month, came the word of the LORD by the prophet Haggai, saying,

When Christians are asked why are you celebrating the birth of Christ on
25th Dec when they know for sure it is not that date, they say time is not
important as far as Christ is the center of the celebration.

Today’ message does not simply say the Lord spoke to Haggai but also
mentions the date on which He spoke to Haggai and when we check this date
it was the last day of the Feast of Tabernacle / Feast of Tents / Sukkot
and incidentally it is exactly seventh day from the birth of Christ.

All feasts were shadows of dates concerning Christ (and His Spirit) and the
dates were accurate not approximately, a day before or later. The Feast of
Tabernacle was to do with the coming of God as man in a body that was
temporary to remind us that we too are in this temporary body on this
earth.

Yesterday during lunch I was speaking to a new joinee in my office, he was
a Hindu, I asked him what he thought of life and death, as to what happens
to a person after the person dies. He told me he did not agree with the
Hindu concept of incarnation (Karma Chakra), he believed a person when he
or she dies its spirit also ceases to exist. I asked him then why does one
need to be good and fear doing bad? If man did not fear punishment after
death then he or she would not follow moral values and would do whatever
they please. I asked him if he believed in Heaven and Hell? To that he said
yes. He then realized his understanding was a confusing one and started
reconsidering his understanding.

We all know our lives on earth (this world) is temporary yet love this life
so much. We also do not realize our earthly relationships are also
temporary and yet we risk our Heavenly inheritance (including eternal life)
for our earthly relationship. We have so many Christians who give up on
Christ or compromise His ways because of family issues.

In our previous message on peace we learned compromise is not peace. Surely
we need to avoid confrontation and arguments but not at the cost of risking
our eternal life in Christ. When we die we will have no earthly
relationship with any one, we will be no one’s daughter, son, father,
mother, husband, wife, earthly brother or sister. The only relationship if
we have is our relationship with Christ and thus part of the Heavenly
Family / Temple – God as our Father and brethren of each other (Sons of
God).

The Lord is telling us not to think of death and its consequence only at
the Crucifix of Christ but also His birth announced that we are temporary
here on earth.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God whose Throne is in Heaven yet are present everywhere, for
You are Omnipresent. Lord we pray after death we will be spirit being yet
will have a dwelling place. If we are not dwelling before You then we will
not receive life but will see that which we have perishing while we pay for
the wrongs we did. Lord let us seek life and not death, let us seek
forgiveness and not harden our hearts...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Psalms 78:55 He cast out the heathen also before them, and divided them an
inheritance by line, and made the tribes of Israel to dwell in their tents.

Jeremiah 35:6-7
6 But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our
father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, [neither] ye, nor your
sons for ever:
7 Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have
[any]: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many
days in the land where ye [be] strangers.

Leviticus 23:41-43
41 And ye shall keep it a feast unto the LORD seven days in the year. [It
shall be] a statute for ever in your generations: ye shall celebrate it in
the seventh month.
42 Ye shall dwell in booths seven days; all that are Israelites born shall
dwell in booths:
43 That your generations may know that I made the children of Israel to
dwell in booths, when I brought them out of the land of Egypt: I [am] the
LORD your God.

Nehemiah 8:14-18

2 Corinthians 5:1 For we know that if our earthly house of [this]
tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made
with hands, eternal in the heavens.

Hebrews 11:16 But now they desire a better [country], that is, an
heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath
prepared for them a city.

Living Sacrifice, Holy and Acceptable

Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that
ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God,
[which is] your reasonable service.

In IT operations (even standard operations) we have a term called SOW
(Statement of Work/Scope of Work). An SOW define the goals, deliverables
and performance criteria. Like I mentioned before Romans 12 is an SOW for
Christians. When a Prosperity Gospel or Grace & Works Christian asks about
what works we need to do or how to live as Christians, show them Romans 12.

The first verse sets the goal, verse 2 to 20 gives the deliverables and
verse 21 sets the performance criteria. The goal of a Christian is to make
oneself a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable, the criteria of a
Christian is to overcome evil within oneself (firstly within oneself) by
good works. How to do it, is what verses 2 to 20 give in great detail.

The word holy means purity (spotless) and in simple words perfect, it is
not about sin or being in sin but about corruption. Corruption is not about
being bad or good but being less than that which we were made to be. God
the Son experienced corruption when a third of the Angels fell and caused
darkness. He created our creation, us humans and humbled Himself from the
beginning. He made man to be the light and overcome darkness so that the
transformed man would inherit that which the fallen angels lost and more
(restoration of the Heavenly Temple). Although Jesus is without sin yet He
said only God (the Father) is Holy and this Jesus Himself said. Once God
the Son helps restore man and transform man (in spirit) then He will return
to His glory and be once again with the Father (Holy).

The works that we do is on our own selves (although its recipients are
others) by the help of the Holy Spirit is the living sacrifice God desires,
this is the only way to be holy and acceptable to God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God who is Truth, Righteous and Holy. Father You
alone are Holy and the Angels in Heaven praise giving reverence to your
Holiness endlessly. We pray Father we understand the great purpose we are
created for. We pray we understand we need to overcome the evil within us
by doing good unto others. The good work is not to justify ourselves before
You but to transform us so as to make ourselves acceptable before You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 12:2-20

Romans 12: 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.

Mark 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is]
none good but one, [that is], God.

1 Peter 1:16 Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.

Sons of God, by Himself

Ephesians 1:5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by
Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Ask anyone who created you? Almost all will say ‘God created me’. Ask them
which God and most Christians will say ‘God the Father’, very few who
really read the Bible know that it is God the Son who created this creation..

It was the will of the Father which the Son fulfilled. The Father did not
command the Son but the Son knowing the purpose of the Father did this.
Jesus says He saw the Father thus did. God the Son not only created us (our
creation) but even the Heavenly beings like Angels and Cherubs (including
Lucifer and the Beast) are created by Him. Bible says everything (known to
us) that exist, is by Him and for Him.

Today’s scripture touches on another aspect which most do not realize.

We say we will become Sons of God (in the process by the working of the
Holy Spirit), when we say that, we think we become Sons of God the Father,
which again is not fully right. Today’s message says we are made sons of
the God the Son (Himself) by Jesus Christ.

When we say Jesus Christ and God the Son even though it is the same being
yet there is a difference between them. Jesus Christ is the man who God the
Son humbled and took form of as man. Also when we use the term Christ it
means both the man Jesus and His Spirit. The Holy Spirit we receive is the
Spirit of God the Son. Paul discloses in Romans that we are adopted as Sons
because we have received the Spirit of the Son. It is for this reason also
Paul in almost all his letter closes with a praise only for the Father and
the Son (Jesus Christ). Even though he did not mention the Holy Spirit, yet
he knew he did.

Although there are three beings yet ultimately there is only one, this is
what we need to get into our understanding and when we do then we
understand salvation, the purpose of our creation and our destiny.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and there is no other God than You. Although it is written
Elohim (plural) yet we know You are One God. We pray your people understand
You and the purpose You created us. We pray we grow in You with the help of
your Spirit become Sons of God, becoming true Israel having authority in
You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Ephesians 3:9 And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the
mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who
created all things by Jesus Christ:

John 10:32 Jesus answered them, Many good works have I shewed you from my
Father; for which of those works do ye stone me?

John 13:3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his
hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;

John 14:7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and
from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.

John 15:26 But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from
the Father, [even] the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father,
he shall testify of me:

Galatians 4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of
his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

John 1: 18 No man {being} hath seen God at any time; the only begotten
Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared [him].

John 17:5,22-24
5 And now, O Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory
which I had with thee before the world was.
22 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be
one, even as we are one:
23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and
that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as
thou hast loved me.
24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me
where I am; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for
thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.

Try to live peacefully with all men

Romans 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably
with all men.

India as a country got its independent from British colonial rule mainly
due to the non-violence movement started by M K Gandhi who was a lawyer by
profession in South Africa before he returned to India. The concept of
non-violence came to him while reading Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. He
started the non-cooperation movement backed by non-violence and the
powerful British could not know how to respond to a large peaceful protest.

Israel we know is founded on OT history, USA was formed by Christians
fleeing the Orthodox / Catholic Church in Europe and India was formed on
inspiration of the Bible, it is no surprise that these 3 countries are the
most hated by forces / religions which are against peace.

Today’s scripture does not say ‘live in peace with all men’ but says ‘as
much as possible, live peacefully with all men’. God knows when we walk in
His path which professes peace, the world will hate us and will try their
best to harm us.

The Greek word for peace means harmony but when we go to the Hebrew word it
projects completeness. I mentioned before when we study terms of God’s
Kingdom we take the Hebrew understanding and Greek delivery since the Greek
grammar perfectly holds the purpose and feelings.

We need to understand peace does not mean everything externally will be
good all around us. Compromise or surrender does not mean peace. Peace
means to seek that which is good for the other person even if it is
uncomfortable for us and the person does not like or understand it. Love
and peace go hand in hand, without love we cannot seek peace. Paul thus say
loving your enemy at times is like heaping coals of fire on his head.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are defined as Love by man even though in
Heaven You are known more for Righteousness, Truth and Holiness. Man by
sinning became your enemy and it is only your love and peace paid for by
blood that transforms man to know truth, righteousness and holiness. We
pray Lord we understand the power of love and peace...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
1 John 3:13 Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse
you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully
use you, and persecute you;

Romans 12:20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give
him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

Fulfilling the Law

John 20:6,7 Then cometh Simon Peter following him, and went into the
sepulchre, and seeth the linen clothes lie, And the napkin, that was about
his head, not lying with the linen clothes, but wrapped together in a place
by itself.

The book of Romans is one letter Paul where takes on the topic of law to
great depth, it mentions the word ‘law’ / ‘lawlessness’ / ‘without law’ 52
times. Paul and James put the relationship between law and sin as the
relationship between a mother and child. A woman becomes a mother when she
gives birth. So the child bring forth a mother while the mother brings
forth the child. Law bought forth sin since without law there would not be
sin and because there was sin there was law.

To understand sin one needs to understand corruption. It is this truth
which will make us understand why the fallen angels were yet called Sons of
God like other Angels until they messed with man before the floods and
thereafter were called demons (destroyers), devils (goats) or Satan
(adversary/accusers).

In Romans we may have many scriptures speaking against the law but if we
read Hebrew we find it more pro law. Was Paul confused?

One needs to understand when Paul stated law in some places he referred to
the Law of Moses and other places Law of the Lord. Like I said yesterday
Law is the delivery of Commandments so even though the Commandments as
perfect yet if they are not understood or not implemented with the purpose
it was given, then it becomes law of man (Moses) and not Law of the Lord.
Law of man only destroys and justifies none, Law of the Lord saved and
brings forth perfection.

In today’s message we see the Lord Jesus fulfilling a law given through
Moses where an Israelite High Priest enters the Holy of Holies and drops
his garments on the floor. It is the one who is to take over from him,
enters and picks these garments. Peter being the one selected (along with
John and James) to led the circumcised (Jewish) Christians fulfilled this
law. This was done as a sign to the Jews that Jesus was their High Priest
and now in His absence Peter (Apostles) would led them. Here Jesus did not
keep the Law of Moses but fulfilled the Law of the Lord given through Moses..

One topic that really highlights the difference between Law of Moses and
Law of the Lord is the Sabbath. The Israelites never understood it so and
since it is almost impossible to fulfil it in the natural but fearing the
grave punishment of breaking it they played with it so much that the book
about this one topic is more than twice the size of the Torah (5 books of
Moses)!

Jesus was accused of breaking the Law of Moses many a times especially the
Sabbath, yet He never sinned for He kept the Law of the Lord. Although He /
His Spirit is the author of the Law yet He abided by it and did not exclude
Himself of it.

Let us not study the Bible or follow it like the Jews did without
understanding and without wisdom. Even though the Jews (following Judaism)
are blessed greatly with wisdom of the world, they lack the wisdom of God
and thus reject Christ and His salvation. Let us by the help of the Holy
Spirit understand the Word and understand why, when, where and how to
implement it.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. No flesh can satisfy You, You are Spirit and You desire
man to be renewed in the Spirit. You Lord command us to overcome the flesh
to be renewed in Spirit. Lord we pray we realize we need to follow You with
understanding of your Word and its purpose for only the Truth can set us
free...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 3:20 Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be
justified in his sight: for by the law [is] the knowledge of sin.

James 2:9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are
convinced of the law as transgressors.

1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is
the transgression of the law.

Luke 2:23,24,39
23 (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the
womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)
24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of
the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.
39 And when they had performed all things according to the law of the
Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.

Hebrews 7:19 For the law made nothing perfect, but the bringing in of a
better hope [did]; by the which we draw nigh unto God.

Hebrews 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, [and] not
the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they
offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

John 8:31-32
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in
my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Use Law lawfully

1 Timothy 1:8 But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it lawfully;

In Greek the word translated as law comes from the root meaning ‘to serve’
(as in food, feed the cattle) but when we go to the Hebrew word it means
‘to shoot’, ‘to cast’. Law is the delivery of commandments or orders.

The Greek word for commandment is ‘entole’ which means orders, rule but in
Hebrew there are two words ‘mitzvah’ which comes from ‘tsavah’ and means
‘orders’, ‘to charge’. But we also have another word ‘peh’ which actually
means ‘mouth’ so when we read scriptures ‘according to the commandments of
the Lord’, it actually is written ‘according to the mouth of the Lord’ or
what the Lord said.

Everything the Lord has said or says unto a person is a Commandment. So
today if the Holy Spirit has communicated any instruction to us is a
Commandment to us and has to be executed, if not it is sin. It is for this
reason the Lord says in the latter days He will write His Commandments in
the hearts of man.

Another point to note, there is no greater or lesser Commandment, any
Commandment broken is sin, be it worshipping another god, worshipping an
idol, killing a person, adultery or even lying. Before the eyes of the Lord
a sin is a sin no bigger or smaller, it is the hardness of the heart of the
sinner that defines one greater or lesser not the sin. Sin is an error if
corrected is no harm, but the danger is as a person remains in sin, keeps
sinning the heart condition changes. So a person who killed and knows it is
wrong would stand a better chance of getting God’s mercy than a person who
keeps on lying over a long period and does not feel it is wrong. Grieving
the Holy Spirit happens when a heart that has experienced the love and
grace of God yet is hardened, that it will never change thus this sin is
unforgivable.

When Paul said law is good or bad it is not the commandments or orders what
he commented on but it was on its delivery or implementation.

Coming to today’s message Paul comments on delivery of the Commandments.
Commandments of the Lord are light so by no way can be bad, but if we do
not implement them for the purpose it is given then we cause darkness
instead of light. For example God said ‘thou shall not kill’, this
Commandment was given concerning man, but if we implement is generally and
use it against animals or plants (feel guilt for killing an plant or
animal) than that would amount to misuse of the Commandment. God did
instruct us to kill animals for food, this killing was allowed while
respecting the life of that being.

Today’s message speaks of the importance of right delivery of Commandments
and for that one needs to understand the Commandment and its purpose, and
this truth comes only through the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth). Israelites
/ Jews (leaving for a few) never understood the truth because they had not
received the Holy Spirit. For example they focused on what Moses spoke but
not on the fact that the Lord spoke through Moses, so the law which they
implemented was done in the name of the Moses and thus called it the ‘Law
of Moses’. These became traditions and rituals that were iron shackles to
their spirit, leading to its destruction. Without the Holy Spirit law can
be our destruction and with the Holy Spirit the Law is life (Angels call it
instructions of life).

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Light, Your Word is Light. Going against your Word or its
purpose causes obstruction of light and hence darkness. We pray Lord we
understand your Commandments and mainly understand its purpose so that they
become a lamp to our feet and light unto our path...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 38:21 This is the sum of the tabernacle, [even] of the tabernacle
of testimony, as it was counted, according to the commandment of Moses,
[for] the service of the Levites, by the hand of Ithamar, son to Aaron the
priest.

Numbers 9:18 At the commandment of the LORD the children of Israel
journeyed, and at the commandment of the LORD they pitched: as long as the
cloud abode upon the tabernacle they rested in their tents.

Romans 2:
12 For as many as have sinned without law shall also perish without law:
and as many as have sinned in the law shall be judged by the law;
13 (For not the hearers of the law [are] just before God, but the doers of
the law shall be justified.
14 For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things
contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves:
15 Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their
conscience also bearing witness, and [their] thoughts the mean while
accusing or else excusing one another;)

Hebrews 8:10 For this [is] the covenant that I will make with the house of
Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their
mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they
shall be to me a people:

Things that accompany salvation

Hebrew 6:9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things
that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

In today’s message we read Paul (assumed) to talk about 3 things first
Salvation, better things and things that accompany salvation.

We all know salvation is all about being saved. All may think it is very
simple, NO. People misunderstand being saved from Hell means salvation.
Believing/baptized in the Lord Jesus Christ one is saved from the curse of
Hell but only those who are baptized both in Christ and His Holy Spirit
(carry the Cross) will enter Heaven. Both the goats and sheep are part of
His flock, the sheep enter Heaven but the goats do not, they receive the
Lake of Fire / Sulphur (which by the way is worse than Hell).

Now coming to the better things and things that accompany salvation. They
both are blessings but the latter part, things that company salvation are
what the Bible says in many places as ‘promises in father Abraham’. These
are the promises that God made with Abraham as part of the Covenant God
made with man. Though the Bible takes mainly the name of Abraham it also
includes those promises made with other 6 who were also part of the
Covenant that God made with man.

God made only one Covenant with man and it started with Noah and then it
was Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Moses, David and lastly with Jesus. With each
one God added and bettered the Covenant (older blessings continued). Bible
speaks amore about the Covenant with Noah, Abraham and Jesus since major
additions were made with them. God promised Noah of being the God of his
people, with Abraham God promised Heaven (Promised Land) to his people and
with Jesus Christ, abundant grace and truth was given via the Holy Spirit
given to his people. At every stage the promises were made to the people
that connected with the seven signatories (spiritually). So if we are in
Christ then we are eligible to all the promises made throughout the
Covenant. Since the Jews rejected Christ they failed to receive the Holy
Spirit and thus failed to receive abundant and truth grace (they have the
grace of God only in some areas).

The other part of today’s scripture which defines as ‘better things’ are
things excluded and these include worldly things/pleasures. That means our
daily food or the basic necessities were promised as part of the Covenant
but are those extras like the Quails’ meat they ate in exile. There was
never a day in those forty years of exile that God did not feed them Manna
or the footwear they started with got damaged. So our God does bless us
with things that are worldly when we ask of Him but we can lose our
salvation if we run more after these things. The less of these things makes
our receiving our salvation more assured, but life becomes more difficult
to live. Those Israelites during exile who murmured greatly of not
receiving sufficient meat got so much and died of sickness (plague) with
mouths full of meat; they did not enter the Promised Land.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord You God of All. Everything created is by You, but You call only those
who are in You, in the Covenant made by You as your children. Even though
your Children received the promise of Promised Land yet children cannot
inherit but need to mature into Sons and it is only through the Spirit one
matures. All before Christ’s sacrifice did not receive your Holy Spirit and
it was only through Christ we now have the promise of the Holy Spirit. We
pray Lord we do not lose our salvation by seeking those extra blessings but
learn to be sober and satisfied with the basics of livelihood that You
provide...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 7:17 But when the time of the promise drew nigh, which God had sworn
to Abraham, the people grew and multiplied in Egypt,

Galatians 3:14 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles
through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit
through faith.

Exodus 16:12-18

Numbers 11:31-33
31 And there went forth a wind from Jehovah, and brought quails from the
sea, and let them fall by the camp, about a day’s journey on this side, and
a day’s journey on the other side, round about the camp, and about two
cubits above the face of the earth.
32 And the people rose up all that day, and all the night, and all the
next day, and gathered the quails: he that gathered least gathered ten
homers: and they spread them all abroad for themselves round about the camp..
33 While the flesh was yet between their teeth, ere it was chewed, the
anger of Jehovah was kindled against the people, and Jehovah smote the
people with a very great plague.
