Orlando, Florida -- It was a flight bound for Florida, and some airline pilots believe it also may have been a dry-run for terrorists.

The 10 News Investigators have obtained an internal memo that details a frightening incident that brings back memories of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Since then, federal efforts have gone in place to prevent a similar attack, leading many to believe another attack what happened on 9/11 could never happen again.

Wolf Koch, who flies Boeing 767s for Delta Airlines and is the Aviation Security Committee Chairman for the Air Line http://www.alpa.org/AboutALPA/WhoWeAre/tabid/2030/Default.aspx says that belief "is very foolish."

Koch describes the events of 9/11 as "an incredible attack on us. It was very well orchestrated and they're going to try it again... 100 percent, no question in my mind. They're going to try it again."

According to Koch, many other flight crews are concerned the planning may already be underway.

A memo obtained by the 10 News investigators from the union that represents pilots for US Airways says that "there have been several cases recently throughout the (airline) industry of what appear to be probes, or dry-runs, to test our procedures and reaction to an in flight threat."

Koch says, "What most security experts will tell you that if a dry-run is occurring, the attack will shortly follow."

The pilots say the most recent dry-run occurred on Flight 1880 on September 2. The flight left Reagan National Airport in Washington D.C. and headed to Orlando International.

Crew members say that shortly after takeoff, a group of four "Middle Eastern" men caused a commotion.

The witnesses claim one of the men ran from his seat in coach, toward the flight deck door. He made a hard left and entered the forward bathroom "for a considerable length of time."

While he was in there, the other three men proceeded to move about the cabin, changing seats, opening overhead bins, and "generally making a scene." They appeared to be trying to occupy and distract the flight attendants.

The 10 News Investigators contacted both US Airways and the Transportation Security Administration both confirmed the incident. US Airways says it won't discuss the details of security measures, but that it works closely with authorities.

The TSA told us it takes all reports of suspicious activity aboard aircraft seriously, and the matter requires no further investigation at this time.

However, a current Federal Air Marshal who works flights every week says of the TSA, "They're liars. They're flat out liars."

The Air Marshal, whose identity we are not revealing because agency rules prohibit him from talking to the media, says the TSA doesn't want the flying public to be aware of the problems with terrorist probes.

The Air Marshal and others we have spoken to say several flights they have worked were targets of dry-runs and that most of his colleagues believe no matter what the TSA says, the incident aboard Flight 1880 is serious.

Until now, there has been absolutely no publicity about the US Airways flight from D.C. to Orlando International Airport, but security experts say incidents like this should not and cannot be ignored.

As the Federal Air Marshal and industry insiders tell us, "We're waiting for the next 9/11 to happen, because it's not a question of if. It's a question of when."

An unprecedented victory in Tennessee!

Commissioners refuse to approve social studies textbooks

Dear Elaine,

Imagine the scene.

The Tennessee Department of Education’s Textbook Commission is meeting to consider approval of recommended social studies textbooks for the state’s public schools.

Normally, nobody from the public shows up at these meetings.

But this time, ACT! for America chapter leaders and members are out in force.

They’ve done their homework, using our “Education or Indoctrination: The Treatment of Islam in 6th through 12th grade American Textbooks” report.

They’ve done the legwork, educating public officials and the members of this textbook commission, showing them the many flawed and biased ways Islam is presented in the textbooks they are considering.

And then the time comes for the commissioners to vote on whether or not to approve the textbooks.

And not one of them makes a motion to do so.

So a second call was made for a motion.

And not one of them offers the motion.

The state’s Director of Curriculum stands up and sternly warns the commissioners there’s a deadline looming and they need to approve these books.

And the commissioners hold fast and refuse to approve the textbooks.

Wow.

To our knowledge this is the first time a state textbook selection committee has refused to approve textbooks due to concerns about how Islam is presented!

Yes, folks, you can fight city hall. It’s not easy, but it can be done.

You have to be informed, organized and strategic. Which is what we do at ACT! for America and what our Tennessee chapter leaders and members did.

They did it smart. They did it right. And they’re just the latest example of what ACT! for America is accomplishing and how our strategic and grassroots approach WORKS!

The final chapter still has to be written. There’s another commission meeting on October 23rd.

We need the commissioners to stand their ground and refuse to approve these social studies textbooks.

RIYADH (Reuters) - A conservative Saudi Arabian cleric has said women who drive risk damaging their ovaries and bearing children with clinical problems, countering activists who are trying to end the Islamic kingdom's male-only driving rules.

A campaign calling for women to defy the ban in a protest drive on October 26 has spread rapidly online over the past week and gained support from some prominent women activists. On Sunday, the campaign's website was blocked inside the kingdom.

In an interview published on Friday on the website sabq.org, Sheikh Saleh bin Saad al-Lohaidan said women aiming to overturn the ban on driving should put "reason ahead of their hearts, emotions and passions".

Reuters earlier wrongly identified him as Sheikh Saleh bin Mohammed al-Lohaidan, a member of the Senior Council of Scholars, one of the top religious bodies in the birthplace of Islam.

By contrast, Sheikh Saleh bin Saad al-Lohaidan, the person quoted in the sabq.org report, is a judicial adviser to an association of Gulf psychologists.

His comments reflect the extent of opposition to women driving among some conservatives in Saudi Arabia.

"If a woman drives a car, not out of pure necessity, that could have negative physiological impacts as functional and physiological medical studies show that it automatically affects the ovaries and pushes the pelvis upwards," he told Sabq.

"That is why we find those who regularly drive have children with clinical problems of varying degrees," he said.

He did not cite specific medical studies to support his arguments.

The ban on women driving is not backed by a specific law, but only men are granted driving licenses. Women can be fined for driving without a license but have also been detained and put on trial in the past on charges of political protest.

Sheikh Abdulatif Al al-Sheikh, the head of the morality police, told Reuters a week ago that there was no text in the documents making up sharia, or Islamic law, that barred women from driving.

King Abdullah has pushed some cautious reforms aimed at expanding women's freedoms in Saudi Arabia, including opening more employment opportunities for them, but he has not addressed the issue of driving.

Picture the scene if you can bear to. A bustling shopping precinct where a group of men, women and children are surrounded by armed men. As one of the terrorists moves among them, he demands that the person quailing in front of him names the mother of Jesus or recites the Lord’s Prayer. “Our Father which art in Heaven,” says one woman. She is spared. Her neighbour, a Muslim boy, racks his brain for any line of the Bible, anything he has heard in school or on TV. But it’s too late. The boy is shot through the head; put to death for not being Christian.

Imagine the uproar if that ethnic and religious cleansing had taken place this week. Picture the hollering human-rights activists, the emergency session at the United Nations, the promise of action against the perpetrators who had singled out non-Christians for execution.

Yet this is a hellish mirror image of what took place in the Westgate shopping mall in Nairobi. Islamic fundamentalists murdered scores of innocent shoppers for failing to name the mother of the Prophet Mohammed or recite from the Koran – sufficient proof that they were despised “kafirs” or unbelievers.

Radio presenter Saadia Ahmed said she saw people say something in Arabic “and the gunmen let them go. A colleague of mine said he was Muslim and they let him go as well.” But she added: “I saw a lot of children and elderly people being shot dead. I don’t understand why you would shoot a five-year-old child.”

Roughly the same reason you would stroll down a street in Woolwich and behead a young squad die wearing a Help for Heroes T-shirt – which is to say, no reason at all, unless blind ideological hatred counts as a reason.

“You’re a very bad man. Let us leave,” four-year-old Elliott Prior shouted at the gunman in Westgate mall who had just shot his mother, Amber, in the leg. The startled jihadist gave Elliott and his six-year-old sister, Amelie, a Mars bar and allowed mother and children to go after urging Amber to convert to Islam. As if.

There is a photograph of Elliott and Amelie standing next to a dead body, still clutching their unopened Mars bar. The children’s eyes are brimming with what they have seen, and can never un-see. Amid the carnage and inhumanity, an off-duty SAS man went back 12 times into the mall and was said to have personally rescued a hundred people. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I shall fear no evil.

We have grown squeamish about using the word evil. We feel it’s a little black and white, a bit too judgmental for modern tastes; but what other description will do for the slaughter of Australian architect Ross Langdon and his partner, Elif Yavuz, a vaccine researcher? The couple was shopping for clothes for their first baby, who was due in a fortnight. The two humanitarians died with their arms around each other and the child they would never meet.

All of this may sound as if it’s taking place at a safe distance. In fact, it’s perilously close and could be coming to a mall near you. There are reports that British-born Somalians were among the gunmen and that Samantha Lewthwaite, aka the White Widow, was leading the attack.

Lewthaite, who is already wanted for terrorist offences in Kenya, was married to Germaine Lindsay, the July 7 London bomber. She said her husband’s mind had been “poisoned by radicals”. Because the killing of Christians and other “kafirs” took place in a shopping mall and because some of the victims were white, the Nairobi story has dominated the headlines. Another massacre in Pakistan on Sunday barely registered. Some 350 worshippers at All Saints in Peshawar were laying on a free lunch for the needy when two suicide bombers killed 80 people. The attack is part of a savage pattern of assaults on Christians, from Iraq to Egypt.

Why the embarrassed silence when it comes to Islamist persecution of Christians? In Pakistan, a bishop called John Joseph committed suicide in protest at the execution of a Christian man on “blasphemy” charges introduced by fundamentalists. In Germany this week, a Green Party MP of Turkish origin received death threats after urging her Muslim sisters to take off their headscarves and live like Germans.

Here in the UK, we tolerate the increasingly intolerant. It was revealed a few days ago that non-Muslim members of staff at the Al-Madinah School in Derbyshire had to sign contracts agreeing to wear the hijab and make girls sit at the back of the class while boys sat at the front.

Jesus wept. And so should we, quite frankly. Mohammed Shafiq, head of the Muslim Ramadan Foundation, condemned calls to ban the burka, but where is his denunciation of the Nairobi massacre? Where are the voices from Britain’s Somali community condemning the murder of innocents by maniacs acting in the name of their religion?

As aformer Sunday schoolteacher, I sort of get the point of turning the other cheek. But, really, enough is enough. Time for a crackdown on fundamentalism in all its poisonous guises. Time to stop appeasing those who hate us and our way of life. Time, in fact, for the clear-eyed moral judgment of a four-year-old child

“‘Islam,’ ‘Muslim’ censored from newspaper reports”

How fitting, then, for the article below to come out yesterday.

This must-read article documents how 90% of America’s top ten newspapers deliberately censored any description of “Muslim,” “Islam,” or “Islamist” when writing about the recent terrorist attacks in Kenya and Pakistan.

Our public school textbook analysis report released last year found the same kind of censorship. Virtually all of the 38 textbooks we analyzed failed to describe the 9/11 jihadists as either “Muslims” or “Islamists.”

This is not an accident. This is by design. This kind of unacceptable, deliberate censorship is enabling our enemies and deceiving the American people – and this is why we’re fighting back against it.

'Islam,' 'Muslim' censored from newspaper reports on Kenya, Pakistan attacks

Dare a top newspaper journalist to play connect-the-dots and chances are he’ll fail miserably – at least with drawing the line between Islam and terrorism.

In Nairobi, Kenya last weekend, Islamist militants took over a high-end shopping mall and began executing non-Muslims. In Pakistan, Islamist suicide bombers detonated at a Christian Church on Sunday.

Yet on Monday, September 23, 90 percent of the top ten (via circulation numbers) daily newspapers’ headlines in the United States censored the words “Islam” and Muslim” from Nairobi and Pakistan reports. One – the New York Daily News – didn’t even have a headline for the latest Islamic terrorist attacks. That’s journalism at its finest.

The Wall Street Journal’s (WSJ) headline by Heidi Vogt announced that “Assault on Mall Stuns Kenya” and called the act a “terrorist attack” by “armed militants.” In a small reference to the Pakistan Christian fatalities, the newspaper credited a group linked with the “Pakistan Taliban.”

As the second most popular newspaper after the WSJ, proclaimed “Carnage In Mall Shows Resilience of Terror Group” for an article by Nicholas Kulish, Mark Mazzetti and Eric Schmitt. In fact, on the front page the Times used every description but the Islamic connection to describe the aggressors: “the ferocious armed political movement known as the Shabab” – with ties to Al Qaeda and Boko Haram.

Only USA Today (number three in circulation) broke Islam silence with a headline admitting, “Islamists kill dozens in Kenya and Pakistan” (under an even larger headline: “Two New Terror Attacks”). Jim Michaels and William W. Welch’s story detailed how “Islamic extremists unleashed bloody attacks.”

For Pakistan, the reporters called Sunday’s two suicide bombers assault “the deadliest-ever attack against the nation’s Christian minority” and included a picture with a caption describing, “a relative of victims of the Christian church bombings.”

The New York Post’s front page read “BLOODY RAID” and “Kenyan soldiers storm mall, save most hostages. Its Sunday cover showed a woman running with a baby above the words “Terror massacre in Kenya.” Only inside the piece were the assailants described as “Islamist attackers” related to “Somalia’s Al Qaeda-linked Shebab insurgents.”

The Chicago Sun-Times’s website broadcast “2 Militants Killed in Mall Attack: Kenya Minister” by Associated Press’ Jason Straziuso and Tom Odula. Inside the piece, the reporters noted that “two Islamic extremists were killed.”

The Washington Post’s front page read “Kenyan Forces Move Into Mall, Rescue Many” for a piece by Sudarsan Raghavan and Greg Miller. The story below noted “Islamist militants” connected to al-Shabab militia and Al Qaeda. For Pakistan, The Washington Post blamed “suicide bombers” for murdering “scores outside a Christian church.”

The rest of newspapers unabashedly blacked out Islamic ties in reports. The Los Angeles Times’s front page to “Kenya Fights Terrorists in Mall Siege,” by Nicholas Soi and Robyn Dixon, charged “Somali militants.” The Denver Post’s front page, for “Kenya Moves to End Siege at Mall” by The Washington Post’s Sudarsan Raghavan, faulted “heavily armed assailants” for Nairobi and “bombers” for Pakistan. Chicago Tribune’s front, entitled, “Security Forces Launch Assault to End Mall Standoff,” cited “Somali militants.”

Last and least, the New York Daily News offered nada on the front page to the attacks. The publication deemed the Emmys and baseball news more worthy.

Court ruling doesn’t affect Oklahoma ALAC

Last week a federal court issued a permanent injunction against Oklahoma constitutional amendment SB 755, which was approved by Oklahoma voters in 2010.

The court did so because SB 755 singled out sharia law.

But for all practical purposes the amendment had already been struck down by a previous court ruling. This latest ruling just made the injunction permanent, and it was expected.

We’ve gotten numerous emails asking if this court ruling affected American Laws for American Courts legislation (ALAC) that Oklahoma passed in the spring.

The answer is “no.”

ALAC does not single out sharia law but instead prohibits judges from applying any foreign law if doing so conflicts with the Constitution or constitutional rights.

ALAC has not been challenged in court in any of the states where it has been passed. In fact, last September a judge in Kansas ruled he could not apply sharia law in a case because of the ALAC legislation Kansas passed earlier in the year.

Over the last few months, things have been going very well in the state of North Carolina with regard to American Laws for American Courts (ALAC) legislation.

The state legislature has passed Representative Chris Whitmire’s American Laws for American Courts bill, officially titled, “Foreign Laws/Protect Constitutional Rights” (bill number, HB522) with bi-partisan support: House (75-37) and Senate (31-2).

North Carolina is well on its way to joining the FIVE other states who now have ALAC laws on the books.

But there is one final step necessary.

We are still waiting for Governor Pat McCrory to sign North Carolina’s American Laws for American Courts legislation so it becomes law in North Carolina. He has until August 25th to do so and he is being pounded by opposition groups like CAIR—who have unleashed their nationalmembers on North Carolina—to veto the bill.

At this time, it is critical that the Governor understand how important ALAC is to North Carolina, as well as how supported it is by the community.

An aggressive response from heavily-armed police to an Arab family at a Berlin swimming pool has provided yet another vignette of the difficulties Western societies face coping with Muslim immigrants’ dramatically different mores. The incident provides a disturbing glimpse into the parallel societies of some Islamic communities in Europe, which find true integration into their adopted homelands incompatible with Muslim piety.

On July 27, medics attempted to treat an injured woman from an Arab family at the Columbiabad pool in Berlin’s Neukölln district, the local Berliner Zeitung (BZ) recently reported. The woman’s clan members present took offense at the male medics touching a female family member. The violation of Muslim norms prohibiting such touching by unrelated individuals offended the family’s honor, one witness reported. Tirades of insults followed and two family “heavyweights” began to punch the defenseless medics. Other family members also joined in the assault.

Pool security alerted the police, who arrived with ten patrol cars and police dogs, as pictured in BZ online. In addition to nightsticks, pictures also showed some of the officers wearing bulletproof vests, as Germany’s national tabloid Bild noted. Witnesses reported that only after using pepper spray were the police able to quell the angry family members. A picture taken after the pool riot showed the police leading a man away in handcuffs.

The following day unknown individuals on a Facebook page called for making the Columbiabad “flat.” Pool authorities reacted with additional security personal for the following weekend, including special units of Hamburg’sStolzenburg Security who functioned as gatekeepers. One regular Columbiabad guest reported to BZ that “then we felt secure, but now they are unfortunately once again gone.”

The Columbiabad event is apparently not an unusual occurrence. “We often have problems,” one Berlin medic told Bild, “when we are called to emergency operations among Arab-descent families. On the one hand we want to help; on the other hand they do not let us touch the injured at all.”

Such issues would particularly arise in what Bild calls the “problem city segment Neukölln” in a photo caption under an ambulance and police vehicles pictured parked outside the Columbiabad. The district’s decades-long governing mayor, Heinz Buschkowsky, brought national prominence to his borough with his 2012 German bestseller Neukölln ist Überall (“Neukölln is Everywhere,” English book excerpts here). Using his district’s population, 41 percent of whom are foreign-born, as an example, Buschkowsky analyzed problems of deficient integration, poverty, and crime among Germany’s immigrants.

The book’s German description online at Amazon speaks of “parents, who do not concern themselves with their kids, adolescents without any future perspective, parallel societies, violence and crime.” “Berlin-Neukölln,” the description summarizes, “has meanwhile become a synonym for the home of a lost social class.” Yet such problems also exist in other German cities, not just Buschkowsky’s “district fallen into disrepute” that he wants to make “livable for all once again.”

The description quotes Buschkowsky declaring that, “in order to secure a democratic, peaceful, and tolerant community for the future as well, our present mandate without alternative is: Integration.” Nonetheless, the book description notes his message that such “integration is no law of nature that implements itself on its own.” The description, though, cites Buschkowsky’s belief that “one can change people through education.”

The hazards of bathing in Neukölln, among other frictions of multiculturalism, raise questions concerning how easily this socialization can occur. Strict rules against contact with unrelated women as well as female body coverings are paradigmatic for a culture seeking isolation from, and indeed dominance over, non-Muslims. Concerning Germany’s Turkish immigrant population, one intelligent German friend of mine commented to me in the mid-1990s that “they do not want to integrate.”

Any attempt at integrating Muslims into Western societies demands challenging some of these traditional norms and, as the Berlin police at Columbiabad demonstrated, sometimes outright coercion. The inherent problems in any such cultural rapprochement have thus prompted politicians like Holland’s Geert Wilders to demand restrictions upon an Islamic immigration deemed inherently difficult for Western societies to digest socio-politically. Irrespective of policy proposals, dealing with Islamic immigration in Europe and elsewhere will be no walk on the beach.

Ask your House Representative to sign on to H.R. 2493 as a cosponsor. The bill addresses OPEC’s oil monopoly by allowing Americans to CHOOSE what kind of transportation fuel they want for their vehicle. The bill does NOT mandate what type of alternative fuel must be accepted, but only requires that any automobile that uses gasoline have the ability to accept another fuel source as well. Egypt MB Protests Underscore Hypocrisy of America's Islamists

America's leading Muslim Brotherhood legacy groups, including the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the Islamic Circle of America (ICNA), are demanding that the Obama administration take punitive action against Egypt in the wake of last week's shooting of Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators.

At least 81 Muslim Brotherhood demonstrators were killed in violent clashes with the Egyptian army. In calling for a stronger U.S. reaction, none of the groups mentioned the Muslim Brotherhood – the party of ousted Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi.

"We urge an end to the silence over the ongoing massacres of peaceful pro-democracy activists in Egypt by forces that receive billions of American taxpayer dollars," CAIR wrote in apress release Saturday.

In a similar press release Monday, ICNA appealed to Americans to contact the White House and the secretaries of State and Defense to demand immediate action against "the undermining of democracy and the suppression of freedom of expression in Egypt."

A more muted response came from ISNA on Wednesday, calling for an end to the bloodshed regardless of "[w]hether one agrees or disagrees with those calling for the reinstatement of an elected president..."

However, CAIR, ICNA and ISNA failed to express similar concern when Morsi's regime engaged in its own violence and repression against dissidents.

All three groups have Muslim Brotherhood connections to the Brotherhood. ISNA was created by Muslim Brotherhood members in the United States. CAIR was part of a Brotherhood network of Hamas-support groups called the "Palestine Committee." And ICNA's founders had ties to the Pakistani-based Jamaat-e-Islami, the Indian subcontinent's equivalent of the Muslim Brotherhood.

These American Muslim Brotherhood-aligned groups looked the other way while Muslim Brotherhood gangs beat up anti-Morsi protesters last December following Morsi's decree assuming emergency powers and Islamists attacked Coptic Christianity's holiest cathedral in April.

They similarly had no complaints when media reports showed that many in Egypt's Coptic Christian minority was barred from voting in December's constitutional referendum by Brotherhood activists. Silence was also the rule when the Egyptian National Council for Human Rights (ENCHR) found 1,137 examples of voting irregularities in Egypt's constitutional referendum.

"The new constitution will guide all Egyptian institutions and it should set out the vision for the new Egypt, one based on human rights and the rule of law: a document which is the ultimate guarantor against abuse. The constitution must guarantee the rights of all Egyptians, not just the majority," wrote Hassiba Hadj Sahraoui, Amnesty International's deputy director for the Middle East and North Africa, regarding Egypt's draft constitution in November. "But the approved draft comes nowhere near this. Provisions that purport to protect rights mask new restrictions, including on criticism of religion."

She also noted that the constitution "blocks the path to equality between men and women."

Concerns about the dictatorial, totalitarian tendencies of their Egyptian ideological allies were completely ignored by those who now are protesting loudly about the supposed end of democracy in Egypt.

The groups also had nothing to say when the Morsi regime shut down an inquiry into the Egyptian army's massacre of 30 Coptic Christians who were peacefully protesting in Cairo's Maspero district in October 2011.

When CAIR officials did comment during Morsi's tenure, they defended his actions and questioned opponents' motives.

"Why is the opposition & Mubarak remnants afraid of a [constitutional] referendum? Don't they trust the ppl of Egypt?" CAIR-LA Executive Director Hussam Ayloush wrote in a Twitter post last December.

They took a similar stand last month as millions of Egyptians took to the streets demanding Morsi leave office.

Neither Ayloush nor CAIR had anything to say about reports in the Egyptian press that anti-Morsi protesters were rounded up by Muslim Brotherhood militants and tortured at the presidential palace the next day.

They said nothing when comedian Bassem Youssef, also known as "Egypt's Jon Stewart," was arrested for "insulting Islam" and insulting Morsi in April.

The mass uprising against Morsi was triggered by a widespread belief that he ignored the country's daily needs and was more interested in monopolizing power for the Muslim Brotherhood and other Islamists. None of the U.S.-based groups acknowledges that context.

"It is of no surprise to us to see that CAIR is twisting facts and taken up the cause of terrorists inside Egypt," said Michael Meunier, president of Egypt's Al-Haya Party and a leader in the secular opposition to the Muslim Brotherhood. "Why was CAIR silent on the attacks by the Muslim Brotherhood on pro democracy protestors outside of the Presidential palace in July that lead to the killing of 9?"Or where was CAIR when the cathedral was attacked by the Muslim Brotherhood. CAIR should condemn the Muslim Brotherhood leadership for pushing the poorest of their supporters to attack the army and face death in order to gain more leverage for negotiate for safe exit for the corrupt leadership."

CAIR, ISNA and ICNA blanch when critics connect them to the Muslim Brotherhood. But their actions make it clear that loyalty to their Islamist ideology and to their Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood compatriots comes ahead of an even-handed approach to human rights.
