Cory Booker not satisfied with ‘red flag’ laws, wants more anti-gun legislation
August 12, 2019 by Jerry McCormick
2020 presidential candidate Cory Booker’s attitude towards both red flag laws and background checks should be worrisome for anyone supporting our second amendment rights.

When asked about the Republican interest in supporting red flag laws, Booker indicated that he’s in favor of skipping over those laws because they are simply not enough in his eyes.

More Laws Needed
As happens anytime there is a mass shooting, Democrats look to flood Congress with anti-gun legislation. Even Trump will likely sign off on red flag legislation as long as it does not violate the second amendment.

There are also signs Republicans are willing to sign off on more comprehensive background checks. However, even though this is what Democrats have been asking for, they now want more so that they can capitalize on the momentum they are getting from these proposed pieces of legislation.

Booker stated, “We need far more bolder action to make our nation safe. Red-flag laws, yes, they’re important, but they’re nowhere near enough to stop these rising levels of mass shootings.”

“Now having … less sunrises and sunsets than we’ve had mass shootings — we have to do more. The American public should demand more,” Booker said. “And frankly, things like background checks are overwhelmingly supported by gun owners. The fact that we’re not doing that is a failure of leadership,” he added.

Problems with Legislation
Even though Trump supporters generally stick with whatever decision Trump makes, red flag laws could be a different story.

The biggest challenge of these types of laws is that assumptions are made on what someone may or may not due. If you have ever seen the movie Minority Report, this is eerily similar to that plotline.

Judge Napolitano addressed this very issue, stating, “The theory of the Constitution is we don’t punish people or take their rights away from them because of what they might do, what they could do, because of what we fear they’ll do, but only because of what they have done.”

This is a very slippery slope. Hardcore constitutionalists believe that giving in to any degree whatsoever will open the door for Democrats to start shredding the Constitution, something they have been trying to do for years.

All we can hope at this point is that even though there is a sense of urgency right now, our elected representatives do not rush to pass something that ends up leading to negative Second Amendment ramifications down the road solely for the purpose of pacifying Democrats.

Chuck Schumer proposes legislation to restrict sale of body armor
August 12, 2019 by Jerry McCormick
Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is taking a different approach in the effort to prevent future mass shootings.
https://www.patriotnewsalerts.com/schumer-to-restrict-armor/?utm_medium=ci&utm_source=push&utm_campaign=pna
In addition to gun legislation, Schumer is now proposing legislation that would force Americans to say goodbye to their ability to buy body armor.

FBI Approval Required
The new legislation being proposed by Schumer would require anyone trying to buy body armor to go through a much more thorough check.

This would put this protective armor on par with firearms in regards to background check requirements.

Schumer stated, “With the click of a mouse, scroll of a thumb, dialing of a phone, someone up to no good can get this. What we have learned is that a good number of those intent on mass shootings buy body armor.”

“They want to kill as many people as possible.”

Good or Bad Idea?
Schumer is clearly trying to cash in on the momentum created by the most recent mass shootings. However, the reaction to his legislation has been mixed on social media.

While the new legislation does not apply to law enforcement, many Americans are appalled they would now have to jump through hoops in order to better protect themselves.

Those supporting Schumer are taking the approach that this is but one small step to possibly raise more awareness of someone posing a possible threat to society.

In addition to the FBI needing to approve the sale, there are added penalties on a federal level for anyone committing a violent crime while using this type of armor.

Schumer seems to be mimicking legislation already in place in New York on this front. Currently, anyone caught committing a violent crime while wearing a bulletproof vest or while carrying a firearm is subject to four years in jail in the state of New York.

Schumer characterized this new legislation and stiffer rules on background checks “the most important immediate thing we can do.”

Now the New York Times fears the Left
By Leah Rosenberg -  August 11, 2019 580 0

The New York Times has made many mistakes. And often times, they do not correct them. This time, when they did correct their mistake, the Left wasn’t happy.

The New York Times’ Agenda
The New York Times has an agenda, as do many of the “mainstream” media outlets. Often times, they blame and criticize the President of the United States, Donald Trump, when it is completely wrong to do so. They even spread lies, sadly enough. They are not neutral. And this newspaper will often give meaningless apologies, if any at all.

This time, they ran a headline that said “Trump Condemns White Supremacy, but Doesn’t Propose Gun Laws After Shooting.” That was not true. As Ben Shapiro points out, that is not journalism. What Trump actually said was that white supremacy is evil. After being criticized for the false headline, they changed it to something more neutral: “Trump Urges Unity vs. Racism.” But the left panicked. They could not handle such a neutral headline that did not go along with their agenda. The New York Times then switched it from the front page news as a result of the Left’s criticism. Welcome to America in 2019, where even the media fears the Left.

Fearing the Left
The New York Times became a bias newspaper. But they are not far enough to the Left according to the radical left. AOC accused them of white supremacy because of the neutral, unbiased headline.

The entire thing is absolutely ridiculous. What happened to the newspaper’s policy of “Without fear or favor?” What has happened to the media and to politics?

Appearing Tuesday on MSNBC’s Hardball with host Chris Matthews, national security analyst Malcolm Nance suggested white supremacist “foot soldiers” are interpreting the words of President Donald Trump as “subliminal orders in their head” during a segment on the deadly shootings in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio.

A partial transcript is as follows:

CHRIS MATTHEWS: Malcolm, your feelings and thoughts on the last couple days? I haven’t talked to you since these [shootings] have happened.

MALCOLM NANCE: I think that we’re finally in for a great societal change where we’re finally addressing this issue. I wrote a book last year called The Plot to Destroy Democracy, and one of the chapters, I led off with the massacre of 68 children in Norway by the original white supremacist terrorist who created the concept of this terrorist manifesto — Anders Behring Breivik. And he did that because he thought “The Great Replacement” was underway in Norway and that the government was allowing unbridled immigration into that country. So in his trial, he said he massacred those children because he wanted to eliminate the next generation of liberal leadership from Norway as a warning. This country has had several of these mass incidents, but I think we’re overdue for a Breivik-style real massacre of a political nature…

These people feel that they are the foot soldiers and executors of what the disenfranchisement that the white race is feeling, and Donald Trump is giving them subliminal orders in their head. They are no different than the mobilized, self-starting, self-radicalized terrorists of ISIS here in the United States and Europe, who take cars and drive down streets. It’s just that they have a permissive environment in which they can get firearms and go out and attack their perceived enemies.

Nance’s comments came one day after NBC News national security contributor Frank Figliuzzi claimed President Donald Trump could have transmitted a coded message to white supremacists by ordering American flags flown at half-mast due to the deadly shootings to be re-raised on August 8th.

“The president said that we will fly our flags at half-mast until August 8th. That’s 8/8. Now, I’m not going to imply that he did this deliberately but I am using it as an example of the ignorance of the adversary that’s being demonstrated by the White House,” Figliuzzi told The 11th Hour host Brian Williams.

“The numbers 88 are very significant in neo-Nazi and white supremacist movement. Why? Because the letter H is the eighth letter of the alphabet and to them, the numbers 88 together stand for “Heil Hitler.” So we’re going to be raising the flag back up at dusk on 8/8,” he added.

Trump confirms he’s open to some gun control measures
August 9, 2019 by Jerry McCormick
Ever since the mass shootings in El Paso and Dayton, Dems have ramped up the gun legislation talk.

Trump, at least on the surface, has opened the door and seems to be willing to listen to reasonable legislation to address the issue, a move that many see as a massive shift in Trump’s position on gun control.

New Gun Legislation
Currently, the House has forwarded a bill to the Senate to close “loopholes” in background checks.

While Democrats are demanding Senator McConnell (R-KY) put that legislation on the floor, they want even more.

After the attacks and prior to visiting the shooting locations, Trump stated he would listen to proposals for new gun control legislation.

Trump stated, “We must make sure that those judged to pose a grave risk to public safety do not have access to firearms and that if they do, those firearms can be taken through rapid due process.”

Red Flag Laws
What Trump is referring to is what are known as “red flag” laws. Some Democrat states, such as Baltimore, already have these laws in place. These laws, however, are deemed controversial for several reasons.

First and foremost, you are revoking someone’s rights based on the assumption they are going to do something wrong. If the person is not committed or has done nothing to that point, what is the standard going to be?

Secondly, there is the concern of how these guns are going to be taken away.

Not too long ago, this situation played out in Baltimore, and the man having his guns confiscated ended up being shot and killed by police.

It is a slippery slope, to say the least.

Obviously, Trump is very early on in these discussions, but he will have to be very careful moving forward, as most second amendment enthusiasts believe giving the Democrats even an inch on the issue will result in the complete abolition of our right to bear arms.

El Paso Shooter Confesses, Says He Was Targeting ‘Mexicans’
(Charisma) – The suspect arrested in last week’s mass shooting in El Paso, Texas, confessed to police and said he was targeting “Mexicans,” according to reports. “I’m the shooter,” 21-year-old Patrick Crusius allegedly told the police, according to an arrest affidavit cited on the The Washington Post. The gunman was arrested for shooting an AK-47 in a local Walmart and killing 22 people. Police found Crusius’ car parked at an intersection close to Walmart.

Nadler: ‘More Likely than Not’ We’ll Vote on Gun Bills Before Labor Day

On Thursday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Rachel Maddow Show,” House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler (D-NY) stated that it is “more likely than not” that the committee will vote on various gun proposals before the district work period ends.

Nadler said, “[W]e’re very actively considering calling the committee back into session before — during the district work period to consider bills on banning high-capacity magazines, banning assault rifles, certain provisions to make sure that people convicted of hate crimes or domestic violence can’t get guns, and various other suggestions have been made by our members and others. So, I think we — more likely than not, we’ll have a committee meeting to vote [on] some of these bills before the end of the — before Labor Day — before the end of the district work period.”

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) indicated an “assault weapons” ban and other gun controls would be “front and center” when the Senate reconvenes in September.
The Courier-Journal reports that McConnell was a guest on the Louisville, KY, Terry Meiners Show where he said, “What we can’t do is fail to pass something,” adding, “The urgency of this is not lost on any of us.”

NPR reports that McConnell addressed an “assault weapons” ban, saying: “We had that ban for about a 10-year period. There’s a good deal of dispute about whether it actually had an impact or not. It’s certainly one of the front and center issues. I think … probably background checks and red flags will probably lead the discussion. But a lot of other things will come up as well.”

McConnell also stressed background checks would be taken up by the Senate.

On August 7, 2019, Breitbart News reported that President Donald Trump pushed for Congressional action for background checks. The Associated Press quoted Trump saying, “There’s a great appetite, and I mean a very strong appetite, for background checks. And I think we can bring up background checks like we’ve never had before.”

The U.S. has had background checks on retail gun sales since 1998.

Donald Trump: Republicans Can ‘Lead the Charge’ on Expanding Background Checks

President Donald Trump again indicated Friday that Republicans could lead the way to expand background checks for Americans purchasing firearms.
“I think that Republicans are going to be great and lead the charge along with the Democrats,” Trump said.

Trump said Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) was “totally on board” with the idea and said that even “hard-line” Senate supporters of the Second Amendment were interested in the idea.

He said he also spoke to Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) about the issue.

“We have tremendous support for really common sense, sensible, important background checks,” he said.

Republicans supporting expanded background checks would be a sharp reversal from their stance in 2013 when they blocked the Democrat attempt to pass a bill after Sandy Hook Elementary shootings. The proposed legislation was passionately supported by then-President Barack Obama.

Trump said Friday that Republicans were “different” on the issue than they were in 2013.

“Time goes by,” he said when asked by a reporter why he would expect Republicans to vote differently. “I don’t think I’m different, but I think that the Senate is different I think other people in the House are different … I think that people that maybe had their arm up a couple of years ago, maybe they feel differently.”
Trump even acknowledged that it was “possible” that expanded background checks would not have even stopped either of the shooters from getting a weapon, but said it was important to act.

He did not say whether or not he supported the expanded background check bill already passed in the House by Democrats led by Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

Trump confirmed that he spoke with Wayne LaPierre of the National Rifle Association about the issue and suggested that he could even oppose the organization on the issue of expanded background checks.

“I think I could but I don’t think I’ll be there,” Trump said regarding the possibility of opposing the NRA.

He hinted that the NRA could support his idea or even be “neutral” on the proposed legislation.

“I think in the end, Wayne and the NRA will either be there or maybe will be a little bit more neutral and that will be ok too,” he said.

Trump said he disagreed with the NRA’s principled opposition to any form of gun control in Congress and across the country over the years.

“Look, the NRA has over the years taken a very, very tough stance on everything and I understand it, you know, it’s a slippery slope, they think you approve one thing and that leads to a lot of bad things,” he said. “I don’t agree with it. I think we can do meaningful background checks, I want to see it happen.”

Trump said that Congressional leadership was working together on background check proposals and would probably move forward on something when they returned from their August vacation.

“I don’t think we’ll need to call them back,” he said.

Trump’s endorsement of the idea of expanding background checks runs against his 2015 campaign stance on the issue.

His 2015 campaign document on protecting the Second Amendment read:

Every time a person buys a gun from a federally licensed gun dealer – which is the overwhelming majority of all gun purchases – they go through a federal background check. Too many states are failing to put criminal and mental health records into the system – and it should go without saying that a system’s only going to be as effective as the records that are put into it. What we need to do is fix the system we have and make it work as intended. What we don’t need to do is expand a broken system.

‘I Forgive What He Did’: Father of El Paso Shooting Victim Shows Grace to Killer
When he learned the tragic fate of his son, authorities informed Gilbert Anchondo of Andre’s heroic actions during those terrifying final moments.
“They told me I had done a good job with him, because he was a protector of his family. He had got between the bullets, flying between his wife and child. And Jordan did what she was supposed to, protecting little Paul.”
Despite the unbearable loss of his son and his daughter-in-law, who he watched leave for the store that morning in a "bubble of happiness," Anchondo says he forgives the shooter: "I’m a great believer and I forgive what he did.”

August 7, 2019
A man whose son and daughter-in-law was gunned down in El Paso at the weekend has decided to publicly forgive the killer.

Gilbert Anchondo lost his youngest son, Andre, in the massacre that claimed 22 lives and left scores more injured.

“The aggressor could be my son,” Anchondo said following the shooting, according to the BBC. “I forgive him because he was not in his senses. He had the devil inside of him. I’m a great believer and I forgive what he did.”

Tragically, Andre and Jordan have three children together — their two-month-old son was in the arms of his mother when she was gunned down in cold blood. Incredibly, the little one survived.

Jordan Anchondo, 25, was in the mall when the El Paso shooting happened.

She had just celebrated her one year anniversary.

When first responders arrived, they found her lifeless body still shielding her infant son, who was alive.

She gave her life so that he could live.

Gilbert recalled seeing his son headed out to the store on the morning of the shooting. “I saw my son and his wife. Jordan was closing the door. Andre was carrying his newborn baby in his arms. They were getting ready to leave,” he said.

Just over an hour later, they were both dead.

“I have a regret. I didn’t stop and give him a hug, a blessing and a kiss,” Gilbert added. “But I saw them happy. I didn’t want to bother them, burst the bubble of happiness.”

When the anxious father finally heard of his son’s fate, he was informed of Andre’s heroic actions during those terrifying final moments.

“They told me I had done a good job with him, because he was a protector of his family,” Gilbert said. “He had got between the bullets, flying between his wife and child. And Jordan did what she was supposed to, protecting little Paul.”

“It makes me feel proud. If he died under these conditions, I can live with it.”

Andre was ‘trying to stop the gunman’
According to Andre’s brother, Tito, there is store surveillance footage which shows Andre attempting to stop the gunman.

“He lunged forward to grab the gun. Then the bullet went through him and his wife,” Tito explained. “I’m very proud of my brother. He died a hero. But I’m sad and angry about what happened.”

“There are no words to describe the emotion we are feeling,” he added. “It’s not a hole he’s left, it’s a void.”

Tito also noted that his brother was an avid supporter of President Trump, and said he would greatly appreciate a visit from the Commander-in-Chief when he flies into town Wednesday.

“My brother is a big Trump supporter and I want him to know our family stands with the president,” Tito told the El Paso Times.

The grieving brother also added that many have stepped up to support the family at this devastating time.

“A steady stream of El Pasoans are bringing clothes, diapers, baby wipes and formula to the shop during the day,” he said. “I never thought so many people would come. The family could use Enfamil formula, size 2 and 5 diapers and vegetables.”

As for his two-month nephew, Paul, Tito said that he would “really like to take care of [him] and give him a family and siblings and things he deserves.” He said he wanted to ensure the boy got a “good life, an education” and grew up knowing that “his dad died for him and is a hero.”

“God is my savior,” Andre wrote on his Facebook profile, adding that he was a “proud husband and Father.”

GoFundMe launched
Comments of prayer and condolence have been pouring in on a GoFundMe campaign page, which was launched to help with “future expenses for Jordan and Andre’s children.”

“Sending God’s prayers to the children and family at this time of great sorrow,” one person wrote. “ My condolences to you and your family. God will guide you and the beautiful child through life and prove good always defeats evil. God Bless,” another added. So far, just over $92,000 has been raised.

An official donation campaign, the El Paso Victims Relief Fund, has also been set up to “support victims and their families affected by the tragedy.” You can donate here.

Kellyanne Conway slams Dems for using mass shootings for fundraising efforts
August 7, 2019 by Jerry McCormick
Within hours of the shootings in El Paso, at least one Democrat candidate and the DNC had put together mailers using the tragedies to raise funds for the upcoming election.

This has infuriated Americans around the country, including Kellyanne Conway, who vowed to end the practice and expose them all.

Monetizing Tragedy
How anyone can use a tragedy and its immediate aftermath for monetary gain is beyond comprehension.

This is not using it as an example two months down the road but politicizing an event before bodies have even been removed from the crime scene.

President Trump’s top advisors, Kellyanne Conway, was absolutely floored by the revelation. She stated, “Elizabeth Warren, yesterday, was raising money for Senate candidates Doug Jones and Tina Smith. She’s raising money in email appeal talking about the mass shooting.”

“This is a disgrace and if nobody else is going to talk about it, I’m going to talk about it. The president did not respond in kind. They politicized this over the weekend. They all blamed him. And I want to name and shame them now.”

Time to Expose Democrats
Any normal person would be appalled by what happened over the weekend. It should not matter if you are a Democrat or a Republican, a liberal or a conservative.

In the past, this country has always found a way to put political differences aside at times such as this and come together as one.

People from around the country go to these communities to see what they can do to help. Not this time, though. Trump, and by default, his supporters, were told to stay out of El Paso.

Not only that, but Democrats started blowing up emails and social media with campaigns to raise money to defeat Trump using the backdrop of these tragedies as fodder for their fundraising.

The entire party has gone on this mass campaign of blaming Trump and they are not even pretending to be interested in the real causes of these shootings.

Both of these tragedies, as well as the mass shootings in Chicago over the weekend, were all in Democrat-run cities. In the aftermath, there is one side of the aisle focused on healing, though, but it shamefully is NOT the Democrats.

Trump to launch crackdown on violent video games after mass shootings
(Independent) – Video games are partly to blame for mass shootings, Donald Trump has said. Games that “celebrate violence” should be discouraged and made harder to buy, the president suggested. “We must stop the glorification of violence in our society,” he said during a speech in the wake of a spate of shootings. “This includes the gruesome and grisly video games that are now commonplace. “It is too easy today for troubled youth to surround themselves with a culture that celebrates violence.

Trump called it correctly, “Mental illness and hatred pull the trigger, not the gun,”.

Trump Proposes Actions to Combat Mass Shootings in Address to Nation

President Donald Trump proposed a series of actions to combat mass shootings, from implementing “Red flag” laws, reforming mental health laws, and enacting the death penalty for those who commit hate crimes and mass murders.

As he addressed the nation in the Diplomatic Reception Room on Aug. 5, Trump also called for the nation to “condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy.” He said these “sinister ideologies” must be defeated.

The president’s roughly 10 minute long remarks come in the wake of two mass shootings over the weekend in El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio—committed just 13 hours apart—where more than 80 people were killed or wounded in what Trump described as “2 evil attacks.”

Trump highlighted 5 key proposals he said would directly address mass shootings. They include tools to identify early warning signs in mass shooters, reducing the glorification of violence, reforming mental health laws, enacting “Red flag” laws to stop dangerous individuals from gaining access to firearms and enacting the death penalty for mass murderers.

When proposing his plan to better recognize early warning signs, Trump’s first key proposal, he brought up the Parkland shooter in Florida who had multiple red flags but no decisive action was taken.

“I am directing the Department of Justice to work in partnership with local state and federal agencies as well as social media companies to develop tools to detect mass shooters before they strike,” Trump said.

“I am directing the Department of Justice to work in partnership with local state and federal agencies as well as social media companies to develop tools to detect mass shooters before they strike,” Trump said.

In Trump’s second proposal, he called for an end to the “glorification of violence in our society” and specifically pointed to video games. He noted that cultural change is hard.

“This includes the gruesome and grizzly video games that are now commonplace,” he said. “It is too easy today for troubled youth to surround themselves with a culture that celebrates violence. We must stop or substantially reduce this and it has to begin immediately.”

Trump also warned about the internet and how it provides a “dangerous avenue to radicalize disturbed minds.”

Trump also called on mental health laws to be reformed in his third major proposal. He said the new laws would help to “better identify mentally disturbed individuals who may commit acts of violence.” He also called for such individuals to not only get treatment but, “when necessary, involuntary confinement.”

“Mental illness and hatred pull the trigger, not the gun,” he added.

Trump’s fourth proposal is to enact “Red flag laws” meant to ensure that those who pose a grave risk to public safety do not have access to firearms and if they do, they can be taken “through rapid due process.” Red flag laws are also known as extreme risk protection orders.

In his final proposal, Trump said he would be directing the Department of Justice to propose legislation that would ensure “those who commit hate crimes and mass murders face the death penalty, and that this capital punishment be delivered quickly, decisively, and without years of needless delay.”

Trey Gowdy dismisses calls for new gun control legislation
August 6, 2019 by Jerry McCormick
As the nation mourns the tragic mass shootings that recently took place, Democrats believe the solution is more gun laws.

Former Republican congressman Trey Gowdy jumped back into the spotlight to completely dismiss the notion, arguing, “More laws that are not going to be enforced is the panacea and it won’t work.”

The Illusion of Gun Laws
Democrats have long held the belief that if we have more gun laws, all these mass shootings will go away. If it were that easy, Chicago would not have more than 300 murders on the books already this year.

Unfortunately, in this world, evil always finds a way.

Gowdy even hinted if Dems could come with a law that would completely guarantee something like this would never happen again, he would “give up any other right I have.”

The Real Problem
The fact of the matter is the root cause of these shootings lies in the heads of the shooters.

The FBI recently conducted a study looking at mass shootings from 2000 to 2013. In more than 60% of the cases, there was one common thread. That thread was that there were mental health issues present in the shooters.

Additionally, in roughly 90% of the shootings, there were signs of what the FBI called “concerning behaviors.”

These are red flags that should have given cause for concern. The Dayton shooter is a perfect example of this.

The shooter went to school with rape and kill lists, yet nobody took action.

In a world where we worry about offending a crowd of people by using a single-gender characterization such as “guys” to get their attention, nobody is willing to bring attention to these “concerning behaviors” for fear of being ridiculed publicly.

This is where our focus needs to be, not on creating ridiculous and restrictive gun laws that do not address how the person got to the point of pulling the trigger.

The inconvenient truth” about the El Paso shooter

Who is inciting to violence? Who is calling for blood? Well, they got it.

THE INCONVENIENT TRUTH ABOUT THE EL PASO SHOOTER
By: Charles Moore, The Spectator, August 7, 2019:

Police brief the media at the site of the El Paso shooting
WHO WROTE ‘OUR LIFESTYLE IS DESTROYING THE ENVIRONMENT OF OUR COUNTRY… CREATING A MASSIVE BURDEN FOR FUTURE GENERATIONS. CORPORATIONS ARE HEADING THE DESTRUCTION OF OUR ENVIRONMENT BY SHAMELESSLY OVER-HARVESTING RESOURCES… THE NEXT LOGICAL STEP IS TO DECREASE THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE IN AMERICA USING RESOURCES. IF WE CAN GET RID OF ENOUGH PEOPLE, THEN OUR WAY OF LIFE CAN BECOME MORE SUSTAINABLE’?
The answer, if media reports are accurate, is Patrick Crusius, the man accused of the El Paso massacre. The words appeared in his testament, entitled (in homage to Al Gore?) The Inconvenient Truth, which he seems to have put online before decreasing the number of people in America by 22.
Who said, on Twitter, ‘I want socialism, and I’ll not wait for the idiots to finally come round to understanding’? Connor Betts, the man accused of shooting nine people, including his sister, in Dayton, Ohio.
This week’s reporting of the two atrocities has painted Crusius as a white supremacist. This does not seem to be accurate. In his manifesto, he is against ethnic mingling and mass immigration, but his view that immigrants should be killed is based not on racial superiority theory, but on his sense that too many people pollute the environment of America.
He despairs of persuading his fellow Americans to change their consumerist lifestyles, so he decides to attack the ‘invaders’ instead. As for Betts, the self-styled ‘leftist’, coverage has tended to slide past his political views. It is seriously bad that both cases have been so partially reported. If we are to work out the motivations of unhappy/trigger-happy young men such as these, shouldn’t we carefully expose all the preposterous justifications they make for their evil acts?
Some of them — mostly to do with race — come from the right. Some — mostly to do with saving the planet from human beings — come from the left. Betts sounds like a potential Bernie Sanders recruit. Crusius seems closer to Extinction Rebellion than to Donald Trump.
THE TRUTH MUST BE TOLD

Cloudflare Blacklists 8Chan Following El Paso Shooting

https://www.breitbart.com/tech/2019/08/05/cloudflare-blacklists-8chan-following-el-paso-shooting/?utm_source=newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_term=daily&utm_campaign=20190805&utm_content=Final
The CEO of web infrastructure giant Cloudflare has announced that the firm will blacklist anonymous online forum 8Chan following the recent shooting in El Paso, Texas. Cloudflare’s service offerings protect websites from cyberattacks such as DDOS attacks, designed to prevent sites from operating normally.
The Hill reports that web infrastructure firm Cloudflare has stopped providing service to anonymous online forum 8Chan in the wake of the El Paso, Texas, shooting. The CEO of Cloudflare, Matthew Prince, made the decision shortly after the El Paso gunman was revealed to have allegedly posted his manifesto to 8Chan before killing 20 and injuring two dozen more.

Investigators are researching whether or not the gunman himself posted the manifesto to 8Chan, but if proven true it will be the third time this year that a mass shooter has posted lengthy explanations and manifestos to 8Chan. In a blog post on Sunday night, Prince laid out his reasoning and plans to refuse Cloudflare’s services to 8Chan, stating:

We do not take this decision lightly. Cloudflare is a network provider. In pursuit of our goal of helping build a better internet, we’ve considered it important to provide our security services broadly to make sure as many users as possible are secure, and thereby making cyberattacks less attractive — regardless of the content of those websites.  Many of our customers run platforms of their own on top of our network. If our policies are more conservative than theirs it effectively undercuts their ability to run their services and set their own policies. We reluctantly tolerate content that we find reprehensible, but we draw the line at platforms that have demonstrated they directly inspire tragic events and are lawless by design. 8chan has crossed that line. It will therefore no longer be allowed to use our services.

Prince did, however, not pretend that removing 8Chan from Cloudflare’s services would somehow prevent online radicalization stating: “While removing 8chan from our network takes heat off of us, it does nothing to address why hateful sites fester online. In taking this action we’ve solved our own problem, but we haven’t solved the Internet’s.”

Prince noted that this has been proven before, last year: “Almost exactly two years ago we made the determination to kick another disgusting site off Cloudflare’s network: the Daily Stormer,” Prince wrote. “That caused a brief interruption in the site’s operations but they quickly came back online using a Cloudflare competitor.”

8Chan noted via its Twitter account that there may be some downtime due to Cloudflare’s decision but the site did indicate it would find alternative service providers:

El Paso, Dayton, & Gilroy: The Heart Of The Matter

"If only there were evil people somewhere insidiously committing evil deeds," Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn wrote, "and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them."
Of course, there are evil people. We know that far too well, especially after this past weekend. In fact, that there are evil people out there is the one thing, maybe the only thing, everyone still agrees on. We disagree on who the people are: The evil shooter. The evil racist president. The evil progressives who want to take our guns. So we go on and on, identifying who the evil people are--always them--and we go on and on missing the real problem right in front of our face.
Solzhenitsyn's point wasn't, as some argue, that people aren't really evil. Far from it. His point was that to assume evil exists only in them (whoever our "them" is) and not in us, is just plain wrong. Rather, as he continued: "... the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being."
The finger pointing that immediately followed the mass shootings in Gilroy, El Paso, and Dayton started before any facts were known, and came even quicker than usual. (Let's pause there ... "than usual." What a tragic way to talk about mass murders.) The finger pointers had already decided who the bad guys were, and many of us joined in on the chorus.
So, we tweeted and reported and assumed the evil ones belonged to the other side while hoping they did not belong to ours.
If it's discovered the evildoer does belong to us, we know how to twist and contort and accuse in order to explain any connection away.
But, if he belongs to them, we also know how to leverage the tragedy to indict the entire lot.
I say this as a 2nd Amendment guy. I fully agree that "guns don't kill people, people kill people." Read the online manifestos of these young men and tell me that they wouldn't eventually find some other way to carry out their violent fantasies.

President Donald Trump on Monday mistakenly referred to a shooting in Toledo, Ohio — instead of Dayton — in his address on a pair of mass shootings that occurred over the weekend.
“May God bless the memory of those who perished in Toledo, may God protect them. May God protect all of those from Texas to Ohio. May God bless the victims and their families,” the president stated in his remarks that he read from a teleprompter at the White House. It is unclear whether President Trump’s prepared remarks included Toledo or if he deviated from the speech as written. He correctly referred to Dayton during other parts of his remarks.

The president misspoke toward the end of his 10-minute speech in which he offered condolences to those affected by the “barbaric slaughters” in Dayton and El Paso, Texas, and condemned “white supremacy.”

“In one voice, our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy,” he said. “These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hate has no place in America, hatred warps the mind, ravages the heart and devours the soul.”

2020 White House hopeful Tim Ryan (R-OH) reacted to the slip-up, tweeting: “Toledo. Fck me.”

20 people were killed Saturday in the shooting at an El Paso Walmart. The suspected gunman, Patrick Crusius, is charged with capital murder and is being held without bond. Another nine people were shot dead by suspected gunman Connor Betts on Sunday in Dayton, Ohio. He was killed by police within a minute of opening fire in the city’s Oregon District.

Former Vice President Joe Biden also misspoke about the locations where the pair of shootings took place, botching both sites while speaking Sunday at a fundraiser. While addressing attendees, the 2020 Democrat frontrunner made remarks about “the tragic events in Houston today and also in Michigan the day before.” He only later corrected the locations to El Paso and Ohio, a press pool report said.

El Paso couple died together shielding their children from bullets
(FW) – As the city of El Paso reels from this weekend’s brutal mass shooting, stories of heroism and tragedy continue to emerge. One local couple, Jordan and Andre Anchondo, had headed to Walmart with their two-month-old baby to pick up some supplies for their five-year-old, who preparing for his upcoming school year. What was meant to be an uneventful outing, however, turned into a horrific nightmare when a 21-year-old man opened fire on unsuspecting shoppers, killing 20 people.

49 people are talking about this
The gunman opened fire at a crowded Walmart in west Texas Saturday; killing at least 20 people and injuring dozens more. The wounded range from the age of two to 82.
“We’re going to do what we do to terrorists in this country, which is to deliver swift and certain justice,” added the Attorney.
“You have to see it for yourself,” said El Paso Police Chief Greg Allen. “When I first got into this job, I never knew there was an odor to blood, but there is. And until you first hand see that, as far as my description of it, horrific would be unserving as far as what that scene looks like.”

Trump calls for DEATH PENALTY For All Hate Crime Mass Shooters
EXTRACTED......In one voice our nation must condemn racism, bigotry and white supremacy. These sinister ideologies must be defeated. Hate has no place in America. Hatred warps the mind, ravages the heart and devours the soul.

'We have asked the FBI to identify all further resources they need to investigate and disrupt hate crimes and domestic terrorism. Whatever they need.

'We must recognize that the Internet has provided a dangerous avenue to radicalize disturbed minds and perform demented acts. We must shine light on the dark recesses of the Internet and stop mass-murders before they start.

'The Internet, likewise, is used for human trafficking, illegal drug distribution and so many other heinous crimes. The perils of the Internet and social media cannot be ignored, and they will not be ignored.

'In the two decades since Columbine, our nation has watched with rising horror and dread as one mass shooting has followed another, over and over again, decade after decade. We cannot allow ourselves to feel powerless. We can and will stop this evil contagion. In that task, we must honor the sacred memory of those we have lost, by acting as one people. Open wounds cannot heal if we are divided. We must seek real bipartisan solutions – we have to do that, in a bipartisan manner – that will truly make America safer and better for all.

'First we must do a better job of identifying and acting on early warning signs. I am directing the Department of Justice to work in partnership with local, state and federal agencies, as well as social media companies, to develop tools that can detect mass-shooters before they strike.

'As an example, the monster in the Parkland High School in Florida had many red flags against him, and yet nobody took decisive action. Nobody did anything. Why not?

'Second, we must stop the glorification of violence in our society. This includes the gruesome and grisly videogames that are now commonplace. It is too easy today for troubled youth to surround themselves with a culture that celebrates violence. We must stop or substantially reduce this, and it has to begin immediately.

'Cultural change is hard, but each of us can choose to build a culture that celebrates the inherent worth and dignity of every human life. That's what we have to do.

'Third, we must reform our mental health laws to better identify mentally disturbed individuals who may commit acts of violence, and make sure those people not only get treatment, but when necessary, involuntary confinement. Mental illness and hatred pulls the trigger, not the gun.

'Fourth, we must make sure that those judged to pose a grave risk to public safety do not have access to firearms, and that if they do, those firearms can be taken through rapid due process. That is why I have called for red-flag laws, also known as Extreme Risk Protection Orders.

'Today I'm also directing the Department of Justice to propose legislation ensuring that those who commit hate crimes and mass-murders face the death penalty, and that this capital punishment be delivered quickly, decisively and without years of needless delay.

'These are just a few of the areas of cooperation that we can pursue. I am open and ready to listen and discuss all ideas that will actually work and make a very big difference. Republicans and Democrats have proven that we can join together in a bipartisan fashion to address this plague.

'Last year we enacted the Stop School Violence and Fix NICS Acts into law, providing grants to improve school safety and strengthening critical background checks for firearm purchases. At my direction, the Department of Justice banned bump stocks. Last year we prosecuted a record number of firearms offenses. But there is so much more that we have to do.

'Now is the time to set destructive partisanship aside – so destructive – and find the courage to answer hatred with unity, devotion and love. Our future is in our control. America will rise to the challenge. We will always have, and we always will, win.

'The choice is ours and ours alone. It is not up to mentally ill monsters. It is up to us. If we are able to pass great legislation after all of these years, we will ensure that those who were attacked will not have died in vain.

'May God bless the memory of those who perished in Toledo. May God protect them. May God protect all of those from Texas to Ohio. May God bless the victims and their families. May God bless America.

'Thank you very much. Thank you.'

Ohio Shooter Was A Hardcore Leftist Democrat
Trump has long said that his supporters get blamed for crimes that are committed by the left. And this proves it...

Apparently, the Ohio mass shooter - whose name I REFUSE to mention out of respect for the victims - was a self-proclaimed "leftist" who supported Elizabeth Warren for president.
That's right. The Ohio shooter was a hardcore socialist Democrat.
The Washington Post CONFIRMS this:
"The Ohio gunman described himself on social media as a pro-Satan 'leftist' who wanted Joe Biden’s generation to die off, hated President Trump and law enforcement, and hoped to vote for Sen. Elizabeth Warren for president."

Sadly, Democrat leaders and the liberal media are too busy blaming Donald Trump to look at these facts. And by doing so, they are actually HELPING the shooter’s agenda.
We can’t let monsters like the Ohio shooter win. That’s why these BASELESS attacks against Donald Trump and his administration over these shootings need to stop.
QUESTION OF THE DAY:
Do YOU think the liberal media is wrong to politicize these shootings?

Give me your answer. I can’t wait to connect with you.
Until next time,
Shaun Connell
PS: Reasonably priced Betsy Ross flag shirts are hard to find on the internet if you don’t know where to look.
That’s why I just wanted to let you guys know you can get your own Betsy Ross flag shirt from Amazon for less than $20. If you’re like me and think it’s important to stand up to people like Colin Kaepernick, then please don’t be afraid to buy one.
Together, we can take a stand against Nike and Colin Kaepernick and show the whole world that we stand for our flag. Let’s send a message.
