Subways were flooded, cars submerged, FDR Drive under water, and more. Tragically, lives were cut short by this massive storm. The Northeast has been struck by a tragic natural disaster. Maryland, Virginia, and Pennsylvania were also hit hard. The footage is shocking.

Congregants of a synagogue in Williamsburg (in Brooklyn) attempted to rescue Torah scrolls that were already partially wet.
It’s a great tragedy for Torah scrolls to get damaged or destroyed. Jews do everything possible to keep that from happening and will go to great lengths to save even one scroll. The Torah scrolls are treated with the utmost respect and have a special “home” in the holy ark.
We pray that the damage caused by the floods can be repaired; that those who lost their loved ones will be comforted.

As I wrote yesterday, Indian sources are reporting that the NRF headed by Ahmad Massoud and Amrullah Saleh are being unofficially backed by Russian President Putin through the former Soviet state of Tajikistan in order to check the Chinese backed Taliban.


The historically unconquerable Panjshir Valley coupled with the weapons and supplies from Russia has turned the prospects of a Taliban sweep around. The heavily Tajik province has been known to resist foreign invaders as the Hindu-Kush mountains give it a natural defense.

Ahmad Massoud is the son of the famed Shah Massoud who led both anti-Soviet and anti-Taliban campaigns before being assassinated.


While it is not clear what the end game is of the current conflict – one thing is for sure, Biden’s underhanded dealings with the Taliban in hopes of having a seat at the post American occupied Afghanistan may be both premature and the wrong play at this time.

Russia may not have the global control it once had during the Soviet times, but it cannot risk allowing the Chinese backed Taliban to push its extremist philosophy into Tajikistan and even Russia itself. Putin is willing to back the resistance if it can hold the Taliban in check.


While it seems doubtful the Taliban will take over Panjshir, it is equally doubtful that without an intervention the NRF will be able to win back the country in the near future. What appears to be most likely is a stalemate and dueling claims to rightful representation of Afghanistan – similar to China and Taiwan.

After all of these years, Afghanistan continues to be the battleground no invader can conquer for long and more often than not the land that ends empires. as we have seen both in the break up of the Soviet Union shortly after the end of the Soviet Afghanistan war and the current collapse of America.

The Panjshir Valley has become the heart of the resistance movement against the Taliban due to its natural defenses and large percentage of ethnic Tajik’s. Neither the Soviets in the 1980s nor the Taliban in the 1990s were able to conquer the strategic valley.

Ahmad Massoud has teamed up with the now deposed vice president or acting president of Afghanistan Amrullah Saleh in organizing what appears to be a Russian backed resistance force against the Taliban. Russian President Putin recently gave advanced weaponry and supplies to Tajikistan. There are rumors that Tajikistan is supplying the NRF with the Russian weapons and supplies. Tajikistan has already said that it will not recognize Taliban controlled Afghanistan.

According to an Indian report published week, Tajikistan has already begun delivering weapons:

“In a massive show of support for the Afghanistan Resistance rising against the Taliban, the Northern Alliance received military equipment, weapons, and other supplies from Tajikistan on Monday morning. The National Resistance Front of Afghanistan, led by Ahmad Massoud has given a bloody nose to the Taliban in several districts, forcing the terrorists to surrender.”

The shift to actively helping the NRF is not surprising as already last week as reported in the Moscow Times, Russia indicated that it was nervous that the Taliban posed a threat to Russia.

“Of course Russia is concerned. We still don’t know what the intentions of the Taliban are and how effectively they can control the country,“ said Andrei Kortunov, the general ​​director of the Russian International Affairs Council, a foreign policy think-tank close to the Russian government.

“There are legitimate concerns about other organizations, including al-Qaeda and the Islamic State. Russia should also be worried about the potentially catastrophic socioeconomic situation in the country as global aid dries up. It is too early to be calm,” Kortunov said.

While most observers seem to think the Taliban’s control of Afghanistan is a foregone conclusion – Putin’s involvement in backing the Massoud-Saleh coalition means that there will be a viable force to push back on the Taliban. This is why Ahmad Massoud is so confident. Between Panjshir’s natural defenses and Russian support Massoud and Saleh have the beginnings of something big.

With the Taliban losing 7 fighters to the Panjshir based resistant movement, the war over Afghanistan appears to be far from over – especially with Russia involved.

As I wrote yesterday:

“The coming conflict between the Northern Alliance gathering in Panjshir Valley and the Taliban can best be seen through the Russia-China prism. The Chinese as they have been are backing the Taliban and Russia is funneling weapons, other supplies, and money to the Tajik dominated Northern Alliance through Tajikistan.“


This conflict is the first of the post American world – a world dominated by Chinese hegemonic yearnings and powered by AI driven Big Tech and Big Pharma. As America continues to fade – Russia will attempt to stake claim to some the surrounding areas before China solidifies its holdings, but at the end the dragon of Beijing will win even if they don’t take all of Afghanistan just yet.

Radical Muslims will stop at nothing to terrorize infidels – anywhere they are able to attack. 9/11 taught us that the Atlantic Ocean is indeed a formidable border, but it is not insurmountable. Kabul is not as far away from the United States as it used to be. And now, we have supporters of radical regimes like this in Congress too.

Appeasement is a proven foreign policy disaster. But yes, there are times when fighting can be averted and lives saved – without appeasing the enemy. Col. Kemp is correct in noting that this situation in Afghanistan may seem like a minor mistake, but it already has led to the loss of many lives and will undoubtedly lead to more suffering in the region.
An example of a situation in which a US President withstood the temptation to enter into a war, yet did not appease is the incident when the Soviet Union placed missiles in Cuba without the United States knowing about it. This turned into a major game-stopper for the United States and the Kennedy Administration. Many in the leadership of the United States properly understood this to be a test of the young John F. Kennedy’s will to stop the Soviet Union. There were clear voices that clamored for a full-fledged attack on Cuba in order to neutralize the threat. But, Kennedy understood that though the threat was indeed real, it was more of a test than a genuine attempt from the Soviet Union to attack the United States.

In the end, a combination of diplomacy and a full naval blockade that did allow the Soviet Union to climb down the tree proved to be the right policy. Both need to be utilized, threats and diplomacy. When this administration begins to use diplomacy – with a threat of attack, it will begin to regain the respect that it has just lost on the world stage.

Biden’s retreat from Kabul and the entirety of Afghanistan in the face of the Taliban’s surprise takeover is far more about China and Russia than it is about the Taliban.

Although the Taliban has more soldiers, Panjshir Valley has never been conquered due to its fortress like terrain. The outcome between these two forces is not for certain.

What is for certain, is that the West is fast being left out of the strategic corridor – leaving India increasingly isolated to a resurgent Russia and hegemonic China. Without an American backed force to the West of China, the CCP can focus its energy on Taiwan and Japan.

Jobs in the early Jewish towns and fields attracted Arabs from what is today called Syria and up from Egypt. There was relative tranquility between Jews and Arabs, but this did not last very long. By 1929, small riots exploded into major pogroms across the Land of Israel. In 1935, these riots and mob attempts at killing Jews would continue for a few years. It has never stopped since.

Will there ever be an end? Yes, when the Arabs know that they have nothing to gain, and everything to lose, they will think twice. When more and more Arabs decide that they don’t want to pick up weapons, but want to raise families and prosper, there will be less violence. The problem Bennett, Gantz, and Lapid are now having is that they pegged their hopes on stopping Iran on a crumbling US empire – more concerned about pulling away from the world stage than helping its erstwhile allies defend themselves.

The Bennett government has not reached the same conclusion that US allies in NATO have – that the America that is emerging is no longer an America that can be relied on. There has been a debate about American policies of isolationism for as long as the United States is in existence. George Washington had to decide if the United States would intervene on France’s side in their battle against England. After all, had not France helped in the Battle of Independence against England? But George Washington decided to set a precedent of non-intervention on the other side of the Atlantic. This was controversial and opposed by many in the United States. Had we not betrayed our alliance with the French? The debate on matters such as these continues to this day.

During the first years of World War I, the United States was very hesitant about sending troops abroad to fight in the battles of Europe. But as the war dragged on, it became clear to the leadership of the United States that if they would not intervene, the alternative would be worse. So, America joined the fray and helped make sure that peace was restored to Europe and the rest of the world. This debate – join or avoid confrontation – did not end wit the war. It continued for decades afterwards – and really continues to this day.


But in 1939 and 1940, as the Nazi party, led by Adolf Hitler, invaded country after country in Europe and grabbed nearly everything – except for England, FDR found himself in a situation where he needed to persuade the United States to get involved in fighting for freedom. It was very simple. If Germany took over Europe and a big chunk of the Soviet Union, and England and the United States would stand down and appease Germany, it would invite more and more takeovers by Germany. Appeasement didn’t work when Hitler invaded Czechoslovakia, and it has never worked with dictators. They only understand force. Are the Taliban any different? No. They are the same. They hold machine guns, because that is the language that they understood – force. America indeed did betray our Afghan allies, and should get back in and fix the wrong. But that won’t happen under this President. He and his supporters will gloat about the heroic rescue efforts, and ignore all of the massacres that are probably already occurring all over Afghanistan. This is a man-made humanitarian disaster that was created via betrayal – for no good reason.

These sorts of exchanges are typically isolated or at the very most mini conflicts that can last up to three weeks. However, given the current climate post the US retreat from Afghanistan, Israel’s border has grown more unsteady than it has been since the Arab Spring.
The uptick in violence in Gaza, Hezbollah’s threats, and Russian protected Iranian activity were all growing over the last month, however Biden’s fumbled and chaotic retreat from Afghanistan has made Israel’s position far more precarious.

After all, if you cannot trust the US with managing to protect Afghanistan from a rag tag group of terrorists, then why would anyone believe they will swing to Israel’s defense against a much more sophisticated enemy. The fact is they won’t. Not because they don’t want to, but because the empire the US built post World War Two and somehow kept relevant after the Cold War is now crumbling.


Bankrupt, “woke”, and addicted to cheap Chinese goods, most Americans appear to be living in an alternate reality where marching around paranoid about hurting each other’s feelings has become the underlying ethos of their society. Social justice and transgender rights do not preserve culture or sustain countries – only strength and a clear moral purpose do.

Israel’s upstart leaders like Bennett and Lapid are working within an out dated paradigm. Instead of flying to Washington, – Bennett should be flying to Japan, South Korea, and India in order to tackle the real enemy pulling the strings – China. If Israel’s leaders don’t, they risk being pulled into the collapsing vortex of the once hegemonic America.

There is only one problem. The Taliban has threatened to attack American troops if they stay one day longer.

In an interview on Monday, in Doha, a spokesman for the Taliban in Qatar, Suhail Shaheen, ruled out any extension beyond Aug. 31, saying it would be a “clear violation” of its agreement with the USA on the withdrawal of troops.

With thousands of Afghanis looking to flee the Taliban there appears to be no way out fo the entrapment forming around them unless the USA and Britain stay longer. In fact, British Prime Minister is currently urging Biden to extend the deadline.
With the corporate media turning against Biden, and the US suffering perhaps the worst military disaster since the fall of Saigon, the Biden administration is in free fall. The Democrat leadership has begin quiet talks in moving him out and installing Kamala Harris as soon as possible.

If Biden’s team decides to extend the deadline they risk open warfare with the Taliban. While the Taliban has not been able to defeat the USA in open warfare, there are far fewer troops remaining in the country to assist with evacuation. Besides that, the Taliban has now captured billions of dollars of advanced US military equipment.

Biden is damned if he does and damned he doesn’t. It will either be a blood bath for US and British soldiers or a blood bath for civilians. Neither outcome will pan out good for the USA – and this is only the beginning.

I don’t hate Jews – just Israelis. Come again. Yes – this is the new style of anti-semitism. And it must be fought with persistence and clarity. You cannot hate the United States of American and say from the other end of your mouth that you have no problem with Americans.
Hatred of Jews is back – and it is reappearing with a vengeance. In truth, it never disappeared – it was just dampened for a few decades after the Holocaust. It has never truly disappeared – anywhere across the world. The world needs to understand that the source of anti-Semitism is not a logical argument or any one event. Everything about this situation is horrifying. President Biden’s decision to leave Afghanistan after 20 years of the US army’s presence has put millions upon millions in danger. The Taliban is not a peace partner. They are not a normal government that will run a country with human rights and women’s rights. No, quite the opposite.

They have already begun their violent madness, shooting and torturing people in the streets. They have seized US-made weaponry, and it is unclear exactly how much even. But to give an estimate right now: 600,000 guns, 75,000 armored vehicles, and 200 planes. This is NOT good.

Men, women, and children who had been living their lives are now being subjected to the Taliban. Their hopes and dreams have been crushed. How can Biden just sit back and watch this happen? What was he thinking – what was his administration thinking?

The world needs a lot of prayers right now. At the end of the day, everything Biden or any other leader does is all from G-d. And we need to pray to Him that He reveals His Good to the world speedily in our days.
