ISRAEL at War Hamas Release
ISRAEL at War Hamas Release
Dear Elaine,
As the ceasefire in the Gaza war takes effect, the hostage exchange between Israel and Hamas begins. In the first round of this deal, Hamas is set to release 13 hostages, while Israel will be releasing 39 female and teenage prisoners. These 13 hostages, released by Hamas, are currently under the care of the Red Cross in Egypt, following their transfer from the southern Gaza Strip. This step is part of a broader agreement that also includes the release of 12 Thai nationals, with their negotiations conducted separately through Iran. The process of reuniting these hostages with their families is underway. They are being transported through the Rafah crossing into Egypt and then flown to Israel, where they will reunite with their loved ones at hospitals.
The IDF Southern Command has issued a stern warning against any ceasefire violations, prepared for immediate action if necessary. Defense Minister Yoav Gallant has indicated that the ceasefire is a temporary pause, with Israel ready to resume full-force operations as needed.
In these challenging times, Zaka Tel Aviv stands as a beacon of support and resilience for Israel.
