2010 The Year of Spiritual growth

How was 2009 for you? What does 2010 hold?

As The School of Christ moves into a new year (our 13th year online), I sense the need to re-affirm our commitment to the Lord, to you, and to your spiritual growth and maturity. We are here to help you keep pressing onward and upward into Christ.

It's exciting to see so many things coming together at once. Here's some of what we're working on now:

•We are shipping orders for Embrace the Cross as quickly as we can. In fact, we have shipped orders every day for the last two weeks and we are still shipping orders. Would you believe our publisher's book cutting machine broke while they were binding our book? Why didn't it break with someone else's book? Then there was a blizzard. And I won't even tell you the difficulty in getting the books here and all the problems with our own equipment. We just take it for granted that there is a force in this universe that opposes anything undertaken for the glory and preeminence of Christ. But the One in us is greater than the one who resists us! So if you're still waiting to receive yours, please be patient a little longer. We have no staff and no volunteers other than myself and Karla, and we both work during the day. But we're making good progress and I estimate that we're about 2/3 complete as of yesterday.

•The Basic Discipleship Course is still under construction. It won't happen by January 1 (as we hoped) but it will happen in January. To do it "right" requires a great deal of technical work but the end result will be well worth it. We'll let you know as soon as it's available.

•The Internet Bible Study Webinars resume next week (January 7, 2010) with Colossians 3. Click here to register or find out more.
Books... discipleship courses... Bible studies... what's it all about? Not the mere giving and receiving of knowledge and information, but the giving and receiving of Christ Himself, that we would be "no more children... but would grow up into Him."

Is that your goal? If so, then 2010 will be a breakthrough year for all of us!
