UNITED WITH ISRAEL
Hamas ‘Giving Thanks’ for Turkey’s Hospitality
Turkey continues its double dealing, courting the European Union while supporting Islamist terror. Hamas is thankful for its new headquarters in Turkey.
Expressing outrage, Israel lodged a complaint with the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) based on Turkey’s permitting the Hamas terror organization to set up headquarters in the nation’s largest city, Istanbul, Israel Hayom reports.

Miracles in the Midst of Terror – Only in Israel!
Those who understand the modern State of Israel's history know that the relationship between miracles and the nation extends beyond the biblical narrative.
Almost a month after he was shot four times by an Islamic jihadist, Rabbi Yehuda Glick was released from the hospital this week.  Rabbi Glick had just finished giving a speech at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center on October 29, when his attacker shot him in the abdomen, lung, throat and hand.
Doctors at Jerusalem’s Shaare Tzedek hospital said that Glick’s survival alone was a miracle, not to mention his inexplicably rapid recovery.
Noting that none of the bullets severed any major arteries, Glick himself acknowledged his recovery as a “miracle” and thanked God, “who brings back life to the deceased.”

Thanksgiving: Today and Every Day!
There may be one day in the calendar year set aside for giving thanks, but when you live in Israel, every day is a reason to be thankful.
The concept of “giving thanks” is one that is essential to our lives. In America, the calendar day for its official celebration is the holiday of Thanksgiving. It’s a very meaningful holiday, where the Pilgrims’ safe journey across the ocean to America is celebrated. It’s also a time to get together with family and friends and to reflect upon all of the good things in our lives. We express thanks to God and to the special people in our lives.
har habyitFor the People of Israel, the concept of giving thanks goes even deeper. We celebrate “thanksgiving” not only once a year – but every single day! Living in the Holy Land, there is a deep, constant awareness of being thankful to God for giving us such a majestic, magnificent place to live. We thank God throughout each day – for bringing us to our eternal homeland after 2000 years of exile, and for allowing us the privilege of living freely as Jews.
Not only that, before each bite of food, we thank God for sustaining us with food from a Land that is so special! And after using the restroom we thank God for the wonder of our bodies. When we finish a meal, we thank God for keeping us healthy with amazing food from Israel… the list is endless!

A Sane Voice: Holland Says NO to ‘Palestine’ (For Now)
The Dutch join Germany in rejecting unilateral recognition of a "Palestinian" state. Does this announcement from Holland signal a shift in European policy?
Holland’s new Foreign Minister Bert Koenders declared last week that for now the Netherlands will not recognize a “Palestinian” state. According to Koenders, recognition is not conducive to advancing stalled peace talks, JTA reports, citing a recently released transcript of the speech.
“We believe this is not an advisable measure,” Koenders told a Dutch Parliament session last Wednesday during the annual debate on his office’s budget and policy.
“We find that it is not correct to recognize the Palestinian state. It must be a part of negotiations. In that sense, it should be introduced at a strategic moment,” he said.

Despite Everything, Pope Still Open to Dialogue with ISIS
By Ahuva Balofsky November 27, 2014 , 9:26 am
“Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that indulge it shall eat the fruit thereof.” (Proverbs 18:21)

Pope Francis I Visits Israel
Pope Francis I announced this week his first official visit to Israel. (Photo: Facebook)
Speaking to reporters in flight following a speech at the European Parliament and the Council of Europe Tuesday, Pope Francis said he would “never close the door” on dialogue, even with the Islamic State terror group.

“I never count anything as lost. Never. Never close the door. It’s difficult, you could say almost impossible, but the door is always open,” he said, in response to a specific question about Islamic jihad. The Christian Post reported his comments.
The Pope’s attitude is generous, considering reports in September, including one by Israel National News, that IS was targeting the pontiff. Iraq’s ambassador to the Vatican, Habeeb Al Sadr, warned, “What has been declared by the self-declared Islamic State is clear – they want to kill the Pope. The threats against the Pope are credible.”
Pope Francis has spoken out in the past about war, warning it was “never a satisfactory way to right injustices” back in September, according to The Christian Post.
“War leads people into a spiral of violence which becomes difficult to control. It destroys what it has taken generations to establish and leads the way to even worse conflicts and injustices.”
During his conversation with reporters Tuesday, the Pope also noted the fine line between defeating terrorists and becoming terrorists. He decried states acting unilaterally, believing they have “the right to massacre terrorists and with the terrorists many innocent people fall.”
In addition to terrorism, he noted slavery as a major danger to the world today.

Pastor Hagee Calls President Obama Anti-Semitic
“Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me; fight against those who fight against me!” (Psalm 35:1)
San Antonio Pastor John Hagee, leader of the largest Christian Zionist group in the United States, told members of a large Jewish organization that he believes President Barack Obama is anti-Semitic.
Hagee who founded Christians United for Israel (CUFI) and preaches at Cornerstone Church, told the Zionist Organization of America, that “the executive branch… is in the hands of one of the most anti-Semitic presidents in the history of the United States of America.”
He partially based his observation on the President’s current dealings with Iran, stating that the President “is anxious to accommodate Iran and its nuclear ambitions.” He also referenced Obama’s lack of support for Israel, America’s staunchest ally in the Middle East, in his foreign policy agenda.

Due to Conflict, Cruise Ships Avoiding Israel

Israel’s 2014 Cruise Ship Tourist Numbers Affected By….Operation Pillar of Defense
A cruise ship that docked in Ashdod during Operation Protective Edge was hit by shrapnel from a rocket. The AIDA diva, a cruise ship with a capacity of 2,050 passengers and run by AIDA cruises in Germany (though the ship is owned by Carnival Cruise Lines in the United States) was hit by small pieces of shrapnel as it left the port of Ashdod towards Crete. There were no injuries, but AIDA did cancel the two following cruises stopover in Israel following the incident. Tazpit News Agency spoke with a spokesperson for AIDA, who confirmed “it is true that we cancelled the two remaining cruises in the 2014 season from docking in Ashdod, due to the shrapnel.”

In a recent series of blog posts by the self proclaimed ‘Elder of Zion’, it was made clear that UNRWA teachers in Gaza and other Palestinian cities in Israel are openly promoting terrorism and have expressed views in agreeance with the events of the Holocaust.
The blogger presented several examples of items posted on online group pages used as teachers’  forums which support terrorism. These types of posts can also be found on personal web pages of UNRWA teachers, principals and other school staff members who vehemently support Hamad, Jihad, the murder of Jews and Israelis. Many individuals have also posted pictures and videos online in support of Palestinian terrorists.

"Son of Hamas" to Israel: Now is the Time to Fight Gaza

Another voice insisting Israel strike Hamas in Gaza had added its call to the fray; this time, it is the son of a prominent Hamas leader. Mosab Yousef is the son of Sheikh Hassan Yousef, a founding member  and the leader of Hamas in the Palestinian Authority. The younger Yousef served as an agent of the Israel Security Agency, or Shin Bet, from 1997 to 2007, the same time he ran his father’s office.
Yousef was interviewed by Avi Issacharoff for Walla! News and The Times of Israel. Issacharoff is the one who publicized Yousef’s role in the Shin Bet in the first place.

Two ultra-Orthodox Jews, both seminary students, were assaulted outside Jerusalem’s Old City Monday evening in an apparent terrorist attack. The men reported being surrounded by a group of Arab youths when one of the attackers stabbed one of the men with a knife.

“The victims were surrounded by a group of Arab men, and one was stabbed and the other was lightly injured, although it is not clear if he was stabbed as well,” Police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld said shortly after the attack.
The Jerusalem Post reported the condition of the stabbing victim as “moderate to serious”, though other papers claim his injuries were “moderate to light”.

Abbas: Latest Israeli Weapon…Wild Pigs?
By Ahuva Balofsky November 25, 2014 , 9:57 am
“He that sitteth in heaven laugheth, the Lord hath them in derision.” (Psalm 2:4)

Abbas fails
Mahmoud Abbas
The Jerusalem Post quoted Palestinian media saying that Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas accused Israel of using “wild pigs” in an assault on Palestinian lands. Abbas was speaking Friday night at a pro-Palestinian conference in Ramallah.

Although the specific charge was omitted from official PA media, Palestinian outlets quoted him as saying, “Every night, they [Israelis] release wild pigs against us. Why are they doing this to us?” According to the claim, which has surfaced before, the IDF releases the animals to wreak havoc on Palestinian fields, as well as intimidate farmers. Beyond the alleged destruction, the pig is particularly offensive to religious Muslims, as it is considered unclean and forbidden.

Iran Nuke Deal on Hold: Israel Safe (For Now)
The Western powers have extended the deadline for a final agreement with Iran. Israel, meanwhile, is keeping close track of the developments.
After having failed to reach an agreement in time for the November 24 deadline, Iran and the P5+1 (U.S., China, France, the United Kingdom, Russia and Germany) have decided to postpone the final decision on Iran’s nuclear aspirations, pushing the cutoff date to August 2015.
Both sides reported major outstanding issues and agreed to give the negotiations another try.

Arab Condemnation of Har Nof Killings Met with Terror
By Tzvi Zucker November 24, 2014 , 11:37 am
Druze clerics, Muslim imams, Baha’i representatives, Armenian patriarchs, Greek Orthodox priests, and the Sephardic Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar, among others gather together to condemn the brutal attack at the Har Nof synagogue in Jerusalem, Wednesday November 19. (Photo: Anav Silverman, Tazpit News Agency)
Sheikh Samir Aasi says “I Was Attacked Because Of What I Stand For. These Extremists Don’t Want Relations Between Religions”

Sheikh Samir Aasi, Imam of the main mosque in the city of Akko, openly condemned the massacre that took place last week in a Har Nof synagogue. This terror attack was perpetuated by two Palestinian men, who entered during morning prayers and shot worshipers dead as well as stabbed them with meat cleavers.

Aasi made the trip from Akko to Har Nof to participate in a pluralistic faith assembly attended by clergy from all of Israel’s faiths. The assembly was held in the synagogue where the attack took place. Aasi spoke there, saying “I come here today to condemn this terrible act, which crossed all lines. The time has come that people of faith must ask themselves, how have we gotten to this point?”

“I specifically made that trip to send a message to extremists,” Aasi explained to Tazpit News Agency. “There is a red line, and it is absolutely and utterly forbidden to cross – holy places are holy places, and you cannot attack holy places, no matter what.”

On Thursday, after his trip, his car was attacked with acid. “Every religion has its extremists”, Aasi asserted. “I was attacked because of what I stand for. These extremists don’t want relations between religions.”

‘But they are wrong, because attacks like this only make our resolve to continue working for peace and relations between our religions stronger.”

Sheikh Aasi has reason to believe Muslim extremists want to stop him, as he has been working for a long time alongside Akko’s Chief Rabbi Yosef Yashar to promote peace and understanding between Akko’s residents. Akko is a mixed city of 46,300 people, with Jews making up two thirds of the population and Arabs comprising a quarter of the city’s residents.

Chief Rabbi Yashar told Tazpit News Agency, “Akko is a mixed city, and [Sheikh Aasi and I] work together so that all who live here should live in peace. We are great friends.”

“Sheikh Aasi was my guest in my Sukkah this past chag Sukkot, to show everyone what a “Sukkat Shalom” is,” Rabbi Yashar added.

Rabbi Yashar and Sheikh Aasi regularly visit schools, both Jewish and Arab, across Akko to teach the students about both religions, and to promote understanding on both sides about their neighbors. “We discuss stories from both religions with the students, in order to teach both perspectives and help students understand their neighbors,” Imam Aasi said. “Thank G-d, Akko has wonderful leaders in all its religious institutions who work for peace.”

This is not the first time Muslim extremists have attacked people who work to promote peace amongst Jews and Muslims, or between Palestinians and Israelis. Mohammad Zoabi, the teenaged cousin of Arab member of Knesset Haneen Zoabi, was forced into hiding over the summer after his life was threatened by Arabs unhappy with his pro-Israel activism. Additionally, a few weeks ago, a brawl between Muslims supporting terrorists and Druze supporting Israel broke out in the mixed city of Abu Snan. Druze Ayoob Kara, a former member of Knesset, told Tazpit News Agency at the time that “Arabs want the Druze to be part of the Arab agenda, and the event in Abu Snan was a part of those efforts…the Druze see themselves as an integral part of Israel.”

Controversial "Jewish State" Bill Passes Cabinet Vote
By Ahuva Balofsky November 24, 2014 , 10:38 am
“...And I will make thy seed as the dust of the earth; so that if a man can number the dust of the earth,... Arise, walk through the land in the length of it and in the breadth of it; for unto thee will I give it.’” (Genesis 13:14-17)

After being shut down in ministerial committee last week, a controversial bill designed to enshrine Israel’s Jewish character into law passed an important cabinet vote on Sunday. The bill, which would codify the identity of Israel as the national homeland for the Jewish people, will be brought before the Knesset on Wednesday for a preliminary vote.

The bill, known as Basic Law: Israel as the Nation-State of the Jewish People, has thus far been presented in various incarnations. Sunday’s decision was actually an agreement on 14 guiding principles which would determine the character of the final version of the law, reported Ynetnews. Two different versions were presented Sunday, that of MK Ze’ev Elkin, which was dismissed last Sunday, and that of MKs Yariv Levin and Ayelet Shaked, which first surfaced in May. A third version, outlined by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, was not presented, as it has not been fully drafted yet. The consensus is that the final draft of the Basic Law will be a softening of features from all three drafts.
The vote was 14-6 in favor of the Basic Law, with ministers from Yesh Atid and Hatnua voting against. According to the cabinet decision, the final bill seeks to “define the identity of the State of Israel as the nation-state of the Jewish people, and to anchor the values of the state of Israel as a Jewish and democratic state in the spirit of the principles of the Declaration of the Independence,” reports The Times of Israel. Elkin’s current draft emphasizes Israel’s Jewish nature at the expense of democracy.
The vote resulted in a great deal of fighting, according to Israel National News. Netanyahu threw the blame of Justice Minister Tzipi Livni, who was responsible for stopping the debate on the issue last week. “If Livni had acted differently, we would not have this situation today,” Netanyahu stated. In addition to ending the ministerial committee meeting without discussing the bill, Livni also committed to drafting her own version of the law back in June, but has yet to convene the committee to do so.
Some object outright to the definition of Israel as a Jewish state, fearing it will erode the country’s democratic principles. MK Yair Lapid, head of the Yesh Atid party, charged, “The nationality law being presented to the government is a bad law that was only drafted for the sake of Likud primaries. This is a law that [David] Ben-Gurion, [Ze’ev] Jabotinsky and [Menachem] Begin would oppose.”
He added, “This morning I spoke with the family of Zidan Saif, [the Druze policeman] who was killed protecting Jewish worshipers during the terror attack on the synagogue in Jerusalem. What can we say to this family? That he is a second-class citizen?”
Others took issue with the bill’s timing. “This is not the time,” claimed Science Minister Yaakov Perry to Netanyahu. “I know you and know that you know how to be responsible. This proposal would harm the fabric of [Israeli-Palestinian] relations.”
But Netanyahu disagreed. Now more than ever, this bill is necessary. “It cannot be that Arabs can live in all communities and Jews cannot live in Arab communities,” he stated. “What is evolving here is a state within a state.”
At the outset of the meeting, Netanyahu stipulated, Israel “has equal individual rights for every citizen and we insist on this. But only the Jewish people have national rights: a flag, anthem, the right of every Jew to immigrate to the country, and other national symbols. These are granted only to our people, in its one and only state.”
In a statement issued by his office, the Prime Minister expressed, “There are those who want the democratic (element) to take precedence over the Jewish, and there are those that want the Jewish (element) to take precedence over the democratic. And the principle of the law that we are proposing here today — both of these values are equal and we must consider them equally.”

Egypt Commits Troops to Future Palestinian State
By Ahuva Balofsky November 24, 2014 , 11:00 am
“And he took six hundred chosen chariots, and all the chariots of Egypt, and captains over all of them.” (Exodus 14:7)
Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. (Photo: Facebook)
Ahead of his first European tour since becoming President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi offered his troops to help stabilize a nascent Palestinian state as needed. According to AFP, al-Sisi is set to visit Europe on Monday. He spoke to Italian paper Corriere della Sera Sunday.

“We are ready to send military forces into a Palestinian state,” he said. “We would help the local police and reassure the Israelis through our role as guarantor. Not forever, of course. For the time necessary to reestablish confidence. But first a Palestinian state must exist where troops can be sent to.”
Al-Sisi said he has already made this proposal to both Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas.
Al-Sisi also spoke to the Italian newspaper about the state of affairs in neighboring Libya, which he described as “chaos”. “Extremely dangerous jihadist bases” are being established there, he said.
“The international community must make a very clear and joint choice in favor of the Libyan national army and no one else,” Sisi said. “Aid, equipment, training must be sent to it exclusively.”
Al-Sisi continued to insist that Egypt has not interfered militarily in Libya. Egypt denies accusations that it facilitated an airstrike by its ally, the United Arab Emirates, against militias in Libya.
Al-Sisi overthrew his Islamist predecessor, Mohammed Morsi, in July of 2013, amid a wave of violence which drew condemnation from around the world.  However, after winning a landslide victory in Egyptian elections and taking a leading role in combating the growing influence of Islamist extremism in the region, Egypt and al-Sisi’s diplomatic standing is improving significantly.
During his European tour, al-Sisi is set to visit both France and Italy, as well as meeting with Pope Francis in Vatican City.

Just two days before the deadline for a nuclear deal with the West, Iran boasts it has supplied advanced rockets to its Lebanese proxy, Hezbollah, capable of hitting any target in Israel. According to the report by the semi-official Iranian Fars News Agency, the Fateh (Conqueror) missiles have a range of 250-350 kilometers (about 155-217 miles), can carry up to a 500 kilogram (over 1100 pound) warhead and travel at speeds of up to 4,500 kilometers (almost 2800 miles) per hour.

After weeks of unrest culminating in a vicious attack on worshipers at a synagogue Tuesday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is looking to advance a bill which would revoke residency rights from terrorists and those inciting violence against Israel. The Jerusalem Post reported that the Prime Minister’s Office made the announcement Saturday night.
“It cannot be that those committing acts of terrorism against Israel enjoy rights such as National Insurance benefits,” Netanyahu stated.
The move has the support of both Interior Minister Gilad Erdan and Public Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch.
Erdan was the first to propose the measure Saturday.“I have ordered a review and recommendations… in order to expand my powers as Interior Minister to revoke the permanent residency status and social benefits granted to the Arabs in eastern Jerusalem who are involved in terror, incitement and violence,” Israel National News reported the minister having said at an event in Nes Tziona.

New App Teaches Children About Biblical Archaeology in Israel
“...We will not hide them from their children, but tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the Lord, and his might, and the wonders that he has done.” (Psalm 78:3-4)
The App seeks “to make available and accessible to audiences around the world the archaeological treasures of Eretz Israel”.
The Israeli Antiquities Authority is releasing a free app for iPhones and iPads. The app, called “Dig Quest”, is meant to help kids get a feel for what archaeologists do, and experience what it is like to discover artifacts from the past.
The app features two simulated dig sites – a Roman period mosaic at Lod, and the Dead Sea Scrolls at Qumran. The spokesperson of the Israeli Antiquities Authority explained to Tazpit News Agency that “Due to the fact that the Lod Mosaic is currently making a world tour in leading museums in the U.S and in Europe, and that it is one of the most beautiful ancient works of art discovered in Israel, we thought that the mosaic will lend itself nicely to the iPhone platform and that the App will benefit from the huge amount of information that accompanies the mosaic during its travels in the U.S. and Europe.  Also, the images on the mosaic: animals, fish, ships, shapes, hunting scenes, are perfectly suitable for children and will find them enchanting.  In addition, the App will be used by children who will visit the Lod Mosaic Museum when it opens in the city of Lod.”

It's Time to Annex the Temple Mount
By: Daniel Perez
This wasn’t an attack against a military occupation. With all the celebration and dancing in the streets of Gaza, you’d think it was September 11, or something. The slaughter wasn’t on an army base, but in a house of worship. So let us be absolutely clear, this wasn’t a victory against Zionism.

Israel's Arabs Need Better Leaders
By: Khaled Abu Toameh
Some representatives of the Arab community in Israel are continuing to cause tremendous damage both to their constituents and coexistence between Jews and Arabs. PA Cartoon Echoes Nazi Newspaper's Themes
By: Dr. Rafael Medoff
The cartoon, titled “Al-Aqsa is Being Raped,” would be outrageous even if it were the handiwork of some anonymous street corner scribbler. But it is a far more serious matter when it appears—as this one does—on the official website of the Palestinian Authority’s National Security Forces.

Islamic Terror Up 60% Since 2013
Religiously motivated terror has increased significantly over the past years, and the forecast is even bleaker. The Western World must respond.  As the world witnesses the horrors of the Islamic State and other Muslim terror organizations, such as Hamas, evidence supports the notion that there has been an alarming spike in Islamic terror around the globe.
According to reliable research, 17,958 people were killed by terrorists in 2013. This translates to a 61 percent increase in terrorism over the previous year, a Global Terrorism Index Report shows.
Most of the terror-related deaths – 82 percent – occurred in five countries: Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Nigeria and Syria.

Massive Shipment of Weapons to East Jerusalem Seized
By Ahuva Balofsky November 21, 2014 , 10:53 am
“The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.” (Psalm 94:11)
Israeli police seized a massive shipment of weapons, makeshift and otherwise, bound for East Jerusalem, authorities announced Thursday. The assortment arrived at the port in Ashdod in two containers labeled “Christmas lights”.
According to a police statement, the containers, which were shipped from China, held roughly 18,000 firecrackers, 5,200 knives, 4,300 Taser-flashlight devices, 5,000 electric shock devices and 1,000 swords.
The Jerusalem Post reported that the weapons were uncovered during an undercover investigation undertaken by Jerusalem police and tax and customs officials. They were hidden under a layer of Christmas decorations. The containers were addressed to residents of the East Jerusalem neighborhood Beit Hanina. It is suspected they were intended for use in further riots.

Terror Plot to Assassinate Israeli Foreign Minister
Cleared for Publication: Shin Bet Foiled Terror Plot to Assassinate MK Liberman
By Ahuva Balofsky November 21, 2014 , 11:09 am
“Cursed be he that taketh a bribe to slay an innocent person. And all the people shall say: Amen.” (Deuteronomy 27:25)
In a statement Thursday night, Israel’s security agency, the Shin Bet, announced that it had foiled a plan by a Hamas terrorist cell to assassinate Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman using RPG missiles. The members of the cell, brothers Ibrahim el-Zir and Ziad el-Zir, and Adnan Tsabich, from the West Bank, were indicted Tuesday.

Haaretz reported that the three men were charged with conspiracy to cause bodily harm and conspiracy to trade in armaments. During Operation Protective Edge, they approached  senior Hamas terrorist Ibrahim Yusuf al-Sheikh for help obtaining a rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) launcher. The plan was to target Liberman’s convoy as he travelled to and from his home to “send a message to Israel and end the war in Gaza,” the Shin Bet statement read. Liberman lives in Nokdim, an Israeli town not far from the villages where the three terrorists live.

Israeli Air Force Ranked Mightiest in the World

“..‘You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.’” (1 Samuel 17:45)
The Israeli Defense Forces is the strongest military in the Middle East in spite of its relatively small size, according to a new ranking by Business Insider. The Israeli Air Force was ranked as not only the best air force in the Middle East, but in the entire world.

Once considered the underdog of the region, the IDF has come along way since its inception some 66 years ago.
The ranking of Middle Eastern armies were based on various criteria such as strength, budget, size of standing army and number of tanks and aircraft. Other criteria included battle experience with both conventional armies and asymmetrical forces, of which Israel has plenty.
A similar report published earlier in the year ranked the overall military strength of the top 11 militaries in the world. The IDF came in at number eleven. In the earlier ranking, the Turkish military came in eighth, followed by South Korea and Japan, with Israel ranking last.
In spite of the obvious discrepancy, there is little doubt that the IDF is definitely one of the top military powers in the world.
The high overall rankings of the IDF are attributed in part to the “energetic domestic defense industry (which) gives Israel a qualitative edge over all of the region’s other militaries.” Other factors include Israel’s space assets, advanced fighter jets, high tech attack drones as the claim that Israel has nuclear weapons.

While the size of the standing army of the IDF is small (176,500 active frontline personnel or ‘afp’) when compared with other regional powers such as Egypt, (468,500 afp) Turkey (410,500 afp), Saudi Arabia (233,500 afp), Syria (220,000 ), Iraq (271,500) and Iran (545,000),  the IDF is praised for its ability to rapidly mobilize its reserves on relatively short notice.
The IDF is also noted for its experience in “securing a few of the most problematic borders on earth,” and for never having “attempted a coup or ruling the country directly, unlike several others on this list.”
“Pilot to pilot, airframe to airframe, the Israeli air force is the best in the world,” said Chris Harmer, a senior naval analyst at the Institute for the Study of War, and with the soon to be delivered state-of-the-art F-35’s the rating should only increase.
Drastic Increase in Operational Deployment of Israeli Submarine Fleet

The Dolphin boats are considered among the most sophisticated and capable conventional submarines in the world. (Photo: Moshe Shai/FLASH90)
However, one of the items that the report neglected to consider is the IDF’s naval prowess. With six new submarines considered to be among the most sophisticated conventionally powered submarines in the world, and which are capable of carrying a combined total of up to 16 torpedoes and Submarine Launched Cruise Missiles (SCLM’s), the naval branch of the IDF vaults the military might of the country even higher.

The cruise missiles on board the Dolphin Class submarines have a range of at least 1,500 km (930 miles) and are widely believed to be equipped with a 200-kilogram (440 lb) nuclear warhead containing up to 6 kilograms (13 lb) of plutonium.
The latter, if true, would provide Israel with an offshore nuclear second strike capability, something that currently only seven other countries in the world possess and one of those, Pakistan, did not make the list of the world’s strongest armies.
To put that into perspective, a Dolphin Class submarine sitting in the Haifa harbor could potentially fire a Cruise missile that would land a mere 70 kilometers outside of Tehran, thus creating a very palpable deterrence for any local or foreign power to outright attack Israel.

Modern Day Aliyah Miracle
And I will bring you back to the place from which I have caused you to be driven out.” (Jeremiah 29:14)
Fifty members of the Bnei Menashe, one of the 10 Lost Tribes, can now officially call Israel their home when they immigrated from India on Tuesday, making 2014 a record breaking year with the highest number of immigrants from India in recent history.
The wave of immigration was facilitated by Israel Returns, an organization whose goal it is to bring back the “lost Jews” of Israel and work to create a stronger and deeper sense of Jewish identity and connectivity in scattered Jewish communities around the world.
This latest wave of return has brought the total number of Bnei Menashe immigrants so far this year to 500, with another 200 expected to arrive in the coming weeks.

The Bnei Menashe claim descent from the tribe of Menashe (or Manasseh), one of the 10 Lost Tribes of Israel which were exiled by the Assyrian empire after the death of King Solomon more than 2,700 years ago.
Last year, Israel Returns received permission from the Israeli government to bring 900 Bnei Menashe back to Israel by 2015.
Israel Returns Chairman, Michael Freund, thanked the Israeli government for bringing the Bnei Menashe home, referring to the mass immigration as a “modern-day miracle.”
“The return of the Lost Tribe of Bnei Menashe to Zion after 2,700 years of exile is a modern-day miracle,” Freund stated. “It is a testament to the determination and resolve of the people of Israel to come home again.”
“At a time such as this, when the Jewish state finds itself under increasing pressure from the international community, it is comforting to see that God continues to gather His flock, bringing back those who were once deemed to be lost,” he continued.
“We are grateful to Foreign Minister Avigdor Liberman and Absorption Minister Sofa Landver for their support of the Bnei Menashe Aliya, and in the coming weeks, Israel Returns will be bringing another 200 Bnei Menashe immigrants to Israel.”
“There are still another 7,000 Bnei Menashe in India waiting to come and I am determined to do everything I can to bring them here as well,” he said.
Israel Returns runs activities in multiple locations all over the world aimed at strengthening the connection between Jews and their heritage and the Land of Israel. This past year, Freund received the 2014 Moskowitz Prize for Zionism for his work in bringing Jews back to their homeland.

Demolition of Terrorists' Home Begins in Jerusalem
“Say to them, As I live, declares the Lord God, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live; turn back, turn back from your evil ways, for why will you die.” (Ezekiel 33:11)

On Wednesday morning a powerful explosion ripped out the walls of Abdelrahman al Shaludi’s home. Al Shaludi is the Palestinian terrorist who committed the murderous attack against Israeli civilians two weeks ago.

“The destruction of terrorists’ homes sends a sharp, clear message to those who wish to harm Israeli civilians and security forces. That message says; terrorism and causing harm to innocents carries with it a heavy price,” the Israel Defense Forces said in a statement regarding the action.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to continue to demolish homes of families of East Jerusalem terrorists responsible for the murder of Jews in the past few weeks.
Netanyahu made the following statement on Wednesday evening: “We have nothing against the residents of eastern Jerusalem but we will not tolerate attacks on our citizens and we will act against those who perpetrate these attacks and against those engaged in incitement…with a determined and vigorous hand, we will restore security to Jerusalem.”
Another three terrorists’ families in east Jerusalem have been formally notified that their homes are slated for demolition. The families who have been notified are allowed to appeal to the Supreme Court within 48 hours. Many families do not bother appealing and simply move out of their homes.
One of the homes slated to be demolished is the home of Muhammed Jaabis, 23, from Jabel Mukaber. Jaabis rammed a construction vehicle into a bus on August 4, killing one person and wounding five. Police shot and killed him at the scene.
Another house set to be demolished is that of Mu’taz Hijazi, 32, from Abu Tor who attempted to assassinate Yehuda Glick on October 29. Glick was critically wounding in the attack. Hijazi was shot dead the next morning during a police raid.
A third home on the demolition list is that of terrorist Ibrahim al-Akary, 38, from Shuafat, who on November 5 rammed his car into a group of soldiers and pedestrians, killing two people and wounding nine others. He too was shot dead at the scene.
Israel has likewise pledged to raze the homes of Uday and Ghassan Abu Jamal, from Jabel Mukaber, who on Tuesday were shot dead after perpetrating a horrendous attack in a synagogue during morning prayers. The two cousins attacked worshippers in a synagogue with meat cleavers and gun killing four rabbis and a Druze police officer.
According to Danny Seidemann, an Israeli lawyer and left-wing activist who tracks developments in East Jerusalem, this was the first punitive demolition in Jerusalem since April 2009.
On November 6, following two deadly Palestinian attacks in a fortnight, Netanyahu approved plans to knock down or seal up the homes of anyone who attacks Israelis as part of new measures to “restore calm” in Jerusalem.
The claim is that this policy is intended to create a deterrence against ‘lone-wolf’ style terrorists. Even if terrorists have no concern for their own lives, they may think twice about committing an attack for fear that their families will become homeless.
On Wednesday, Finance Minister Yair Lapid called the demolition of terrorists’ homes an effective means to deter further attacks.“The terrorists must know that we will respond forcefully to their actions, he told Channel 2.“We must think of new ways to deal with terror,” added Lapid.
Washington however is not convinced of the effectiveness of this policy and warned that demolishing homes could be “counterproductive” and “exacerbate an already tense situation” in Jerusalem.
Israel Police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said that the police are prepared to carry out house demolitions or sealings in east Jerusalem “as soon as a final government decision is given.”
He did comment on how many homes are set to be demolished.

Day After Deadly Attack, Har Nof Synagogue Celebrates Life With Circumcision

It was business as usual at the Jerusalem synagogue on Wednesday morning following the devastating Palestinian terror attack that left four rabbis and a Druze policeman dead the previous day. The morning Shacharit prayer services were full of worshipers and men studying Torah, as security guards and border police milled around the area.
But the Haredi community of Jerusalem’s Har Nof community is still reeling.

“We are in shock,” said Haredi resident of the Har Nof neighborhood, Brachi, 19, to Tazpit News Agency. “I live down the street from the synagogue and it was horrifying to wake up yesterday and hear the attack.”
“The men who were murdered didn’t do anything bad – they were just praying to God,” she said. “It’s so difficult to understand. I couldn’t wait for yesterday to end and to see the sun rise again today – just to be able to start over.”

Iran Deal Possible But Unlikely Before Deadline
By Ahuva Balofsky November 20, 2014 , 11:54 am
“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn...” (Isaiah 54:17)
U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry (in center, left side) prepares to sit down with Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif (in center, right side) in Vienna, Austria, on July 14, 2014, before they begin a bilateral meeting focused on Iran’s nuclear program. (Photo: State Department)

Various individuals involved in the nuclear negotiations currently underway between Iran and the P5+1 countries have expressed skepticism that the situation will be resolved by the November 24 deadline.  The talks, taking place in Vienna, aim to limit Iranian nuclear development in exchange for a reduction in the crippling economic sanctions leveled against the belligerent country.
Haaretz reported earlier this week that US Secretary of State John Kerry called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu Monday to warn him of the talks, which began Tuesday. Netanyahu has expressed his concern that a bad deal is worse than no deal at all. Senior US officials said at the time, “it will be tough, but it’s possible” to reach a deal by the deadline.

Now, several days in, however, some in the know are less confident. British Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond said as much on Wednesday. “I’m not optimistic that we can get everything done by Monday,” Ynetnews reported Hammond’s words to reporters, “but I think if we make some significant movement we may be able to find a way of extending the deadline to allow us to get to the final deal if we’re making a good progress in the right direction.”
In words that echo Israel’s position, Hammond continued, “We do very much want to see a deal done with Iran, but we don’t want to do a bad deal. Better…no deal than a bad deal.

Anti-Israel Media Bias Hits New Extreme
“Thorns and snares are in the way of the perverse; He who guards himself will be far from them.” (Proverbs 22:5)
Following a lethal terror attack on a Jewish synagogue early Tuesday morning, in which four Rabbis and a police officer were killed and eight worshippers were injured, CNN, the Guardian, and other western media outlets portrayed anti-Israel biased to an unprecedented degree.
Mistaking a Jewish synagogue for a mosque, and failing to mention that the attackers were Palestinian, CNN and the Guardian broke all the rules when it came to reporting. Instead, initial reports from the two agencies stated; “4 Israelis and 2 Palestinians dead in Jerusalem”. This headline would insinuate that an attack was carried out against both Jews and Palestinians while in reality, the two Palestinians carried out the attack and were only shot by police after their brutal murder of innocent worshippers during the morning service.

A Faithful Community Responds to the Tragic Loss of Four "Pure and Holy Souls"
“Thou shalt not take vengeance, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself: I am the LORD.” (Leviticus 19:18)
Yesterday morning, two Arab terrorists armed with knives, axes and guns walked into a Jerusalem synagogue and murdered four rabbis in the midst of morning prayer services. The four victims, Rabbis Moshe Twersky, Avraham Shmuel Goldberg, Kalman Ze’ev Levine and Aryeh Kupinsky, were pillars of their community, leaving their families and neighbors reeling from shock.

Har Nof (meaning ‘Scenic Mountain’ in Hebrew), the Jerusalem neighborhood where the terror attack took place, is home to a vibrant Jewish community devoted to Torah study and the service of God. Founded in the 1980’s, it is Jerusalem’s largest modern ultra-Orthodox neighborhood, with some 22,000 residents, many of whom are immigrants. The four victims all lived on the same street, Shimon Agassi Street, named for a great Baghdadi rabbi and scholar.

A Palestinian Pogrom in Jerusalem
A government’s primary responsibility is to protect its people and ward off threats to their security and well-being. And the PA has shown once again that it is truly such a threat.
Yesterday morning two Palestinian Arabs entered the Kehillat Yaakov yeshiva and synagogue complex in Jerusalem and proceeded to slaughter Jewish men at prayer.

Armed with guns, knives and a meat cleaver, our “partners in peace” shot, slashed and stabbed their victims, leaving pools of blood and horror in their wake, before being eliminated by the police.
It is difficult to conceive of a more despicable deed.
This act of Palestinian brutality was so heinous that even Israelis hardened by decades of terror responded with disbelief. Indeed, anyone still thinking of giving the Palestinians a state should take a long, hard look at the disturbing photos of the synagogue slaughter that are circulating online.

Four Pious Rabbis Eulogized in Jerusalem
“You Departed this World at the Highest Level” Cries Murdered Rabbi’s Son
By Ahuva Balofsky November 19, 2014 , 12:13 pm
“I will give them in My house and in My walls a place and a name, better than sons and daughters; an everlasting name I will give him, which will not be discontinued.” (Isaiah 56:5)

“Who will lead me under the wedding canopy now, who will guide me and tell me what to do?” Avraham Twersky cried at the funeral of his father, Rabbi Moshe Twersky who was killed in yesterday’s terror attack in Jerusalem’s Har Nof neighborhood.
Four rabbis were murdered during synagogue services and family members recalled their loved ones piety in funerals that took place yesterday.

Avraham, the youngest of five Twersky children called attention to his father’s connection with God, even in his final moments. “You lived with self-sacrifice for others, and you departed this world at the highest level, wrapped in your tallit [prayer shawl] and tefillin [phylacteries], with the words of Shema Yisrael on your lips, going toward God.”
Moshe Twersky, 59, originally from Boston, immigrated to Israel in 1990 and served as the dean of the Torat Moshe Yeshiva, an English language Torah institution. He lived next door to the Kehillat Bnei Torah synagogue where he prayed every day and was killed.
Twersky came from a prominent rabbinic family in the Jewish community; he was the eldest son of Boston’s Rabbi Isadore Twersky, founder of Harvard’s Center for Jewish Studies, and a grandson to one of Modern Orthodoxy’s greatest leaders, Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik. He is survived by his mother, brother and sister, wife, five children and ten grandchildren.
The Jerusalem Post reported extensively on Twersky’s funeral. Twersky’s cousin and close friend, Rabbi Moshe Meiselman, spoke of Twersky’s devotion to his students. “His sons were his students, and his students were his sons,” he said, calling his death a great loss to the Torah world.
The other victims were also immigrants to Israel from English-speaking countries. Rabbi Avraham Shmuel Goldberg, 68, was a British-born rabbi who moved to Israel in 1993. “He was the most wonderful person you could meet, a pillar of the community,” said one of Avraham closest friends, David Osborne.
According to Osborne, Rabbi Goldberg had been a regular at the Kehillat Bnei Torah synagogue. “Avraham prayed there most days for the past 10 years or so; he was a devout Jew with no political agenda. All he wanted was to live a peaceful life.” Goldberg was a husband, father of six and a grandfather.
Haaretz reported that Goldberg’s family issued a statement saying they would not be giving press interviews. “The Goldberg family accepts the divine decree with love,” they said.
Rabbi Kalman Levine, 55, moved to Israel from the Kansas City after his marriage where he devoted his entire adult life to Torah study. According to a neighbor, Levine “was always the last one praying at the synagogue. He would get up at sunrise and go to bed at two in the morning. He hardly slept and always had a book in his hand.”
Levine’s son, Yerachmiel, said the following about his father in his eulogy:  “My father would study (Torah) all day long and would return home at night only to learn some more until he would fall asleep in his chair. Abba (Father), you were in the middle of saying the Shema (prayer) when your soul left your body and the terrorists came and murdered you.” Levine is survived by his wife, nine children and five grandchildren.
The fourth fatality, Aryeh Kupinsky, 43, also immigrated to Israel from the US. He worked in computers and attended the Kehillat Bnei Torah synagogue regularly. He was described as a kind man, always looking for ways to assist others. “You were a man of kindness, with modesty and humility,” his brother Chaim eulogized. Kupinsky’s family is no stranger to tragedy, as Aryeh’s teenage daughter died suddenly in her sleep two years ago. He leaves behind a wife and five surviving children.
Avi Nefoussi, a volunteer medic who lives a few blocks from the synagogue, arrived during the shooting. He told The International New York Times that he helped evacuate some of the wounded. “Then, unfortunately, we saw some bodies lying on the floor,” he said. He came across Kupinsky, whom he “knew personally, very well.” Kupinsky’s prayer shawl was still wrapped around his shoulders, as it is during daily prayer, and sometimes at burial. Nefoussi took his friend’s prayer shawl and covered the fallen man’s body before leaving.
All four men were buried yesterday in Jerusalem. A fifth victim, a Druze police officer who struggled with the terrorists, succumbed to his injuries later that night. Zidan Sayif leaves behind a wife and infant daughter. Several of the wounded remain in hospital, including one in serious condition.

Avi Nefoussi, a volunteer medic who lives a few blocks from the synagogue, arrived during the shooting. He told The International New York Times that he helped evacuate some of the wounded. “Then, unfortunately, we saw some bodies lying on the floor,” he said. Temple Mount Activist and His Miraculous Recovery
“In those days was Hezekiah sick unto death. And Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz came to him…” (2 Kings 20:1)
Yehuda Glick (L) visited in hospital by Chief Ashkenazi Rabbi Rabbi Lau
Rabbi Yehuda Glick, the Temple Mount activist who was the target of an assassination attempt late last month, is improving steadily, and received the Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel, Rabbi David Lau, as a visitor on Monday. He spoke to the Chief Rabbi for the first time about his ordeal.

The gunman, Mutaz Hijazi, “approached me, stood opposite me, and of course I naively trusted him,” he told his visitor, recounting the moments of the attack.
“He said to me: ‘I’m terribly sorry, but you are an enemy of Al Aqsa,’ and then he shot – boom boom… and then I saw someone, Shai [Shai Malka, CEO of Likud MK Moshe Feiglin's Jewish Leadership faction], and he said to me ‘Yehuda, we need you here, come!’ so we ran…”
Glick was rushed to hospital in critical condition, while Hijazi was later shot and killed. All told, Glick was shot four times, and the bullets penetrated his chest, arm and throat, cracked ribs and damaged his intestines. He spoke of the intensive treatment he has been receiving while in hospital.
“I’m not in hospital because I have appendicitis, I’m not here because they shot me for being ginger,” the red-headed Glick joked to the Chief Rabbi.
“I’m here because someone thought he could ‘defy the armies of God’,” he went on, a reference to King David, another famous red-headed defender of Jerusalem.
Lau assured the injured man that the 16-member council of the chief rabbinate continues praying for his speedy and complete recovery. “Even after a week we did not stop praying,” he said. It seems to have made a difference, as Glick is now breathing on his own and fully communicative.
Glick advocates for Jewish access to the Temple Mount, something that is now largely limited. Lau believes that, due to laws of purity, Jews should not be ascending the Mount at this time. Although the two men do not see eye-to-eye on Jews visiting the Temple Mount, Lau expressed his wish that the two be able to offer thanksgiving to God at the site when Glick recovers fully.
“I have not yet succeeded in finding the right place to say that at this moment I am able to go up. But I pray together with you that with the help of God the two of us will stand there to give thanks.”
“Remember, we will stand together to give a thanksgiving offering (in the Temple),” he added.
It is difficult for Glick to receive visitors at this time, just weeks after his near-fatal shooting. Although he received many requests from prominent figures, Glick specifically asked that the Chief Rabbi be his first public visitor. The meeting was video-taped.

Terror Attack in Jerusalem Kills Four Worshipers
“O God, do not keep silence; do not hold your peace or be still, O God! For behold, your enemies make an uproar; those who hate you have raised their heads. They say, ‘Come, let us wipe them out as a nation; let the name of Israel be remembered no more!’ For they conspire with one accord” (Psalm 83:1-5)

Two terrorists wielding axes, knives and guns entered a synagogue in the Har Nof neighborhood of Jerusalem, and began attacking people during morning prayer services. The attackers killed four and wounded eight others before being neutralized by security forces.
Among the injured were two police officers who responded to the attack. The wounded were taken to Sha’are Tzedek Medical Center and Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital for treatment. Four of them remain in moderate to serious condition.
The terrorists were shot and killed in a gunfight that ensued when security forces arrived at the scene. According to an initial investigation which was later corroborated by Palestinian sources, the terrorists came from East Jerusalem.
An eyewitness to the attack named Yossi who was praying in the synagogue at the time of the attack told Channel 2 News :”I tried to escape. The man with the knife approached me. There was a chair and table between us … my prayer shawl got caught. I left it there and escaped.”
Akiva, one of the Magen David Adom paramedics who responded to the scene said that there was pandemonium when he arrived on the scene. “Inside there was someone singing. I ran into the synagogue, there was a gunshot victim lying on the floor. I tried to treat him, but the gunfire started in my direction and we fled. I pulled the wounded man along. The police arrived and surrounded the entrance and then the terrorist ran out and they shot him. There was wild gunfire. People ran out of the synagogue. It was hell.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Tuesday’s attack was a “cruel murder of Jews who came to pray and were killed by despicable murderers.”
Following the incident, Security Minister Moshe Ya’alon announced that he will convene a special evaluation of the current security situation in Jerusalem, later today in his Tel Aviv office. In the mean time, Police Commissioner Yohanan Danino said that; “We currently have no magic solution for these kinds of attacks”.
Following the terror attack, Palestinians in Gaza Strip shot fireworks in celebration of the murders and the Islamic Jihad said that the attack was; “A natural response to crimes of the occupation”.
Palestinian sources named the terrorists as Rassan and Uday Abu-Jamal, relatives from the Jabel Mukaber neighborhood of East Jerusalem. The two terrorists are related to one of the prisoners released in the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange.
Tensions have been running high amongst Jerusalem residents who  are still shaken from prior attacks in past days and weeks. While prior attacks carried out by Palestinian terrorists have used primarily cars and knives against pedestrians in East Jerusalem neighborhoods, Tuesday morning’s attack occurred on the far western edge of the city and is similar in style to the gruesome attacks at the beginning of the second intifada.

Synagogue Massacre in Jerusalem Leaves 4 Rabbis Dead
Four Israelis were brutally murdered and eight wounded Tuesday morning in Jerusalem in the worst terror attack Israel has experienced in recent years.
Four Israelis – Rabbis who were praying – were brutally murdered and eight wounded Tuesday morning in Jerusalem in the worst terror attack Israel has experienced in recent years.

The wave of Arab terror against Israel’s citizens continued Wednesday morning as terrorists murdered four Rabbis praying in Jerusalem synagogue. Hamas praised the attack.
Two Muslim terrorists entered the synagogue in the Har Nof neighborhood in western Jerusalem and assaulted the worshipers with knifes and axes while shooting at them. Four died in the attack.
Both terrorists were killed at the scene by Israeli policemen. An Israeli officer was critically injured in a gun fight; another was moderately wounded.
Security forces are reportedly searching for a third terrorist.
The terrorists also fired at the first  EMTs and paramedics to arrive at the scene.
Both terrorists are residents of east Jerusalem. IDF Radio reports that they are Israeli citizens with Israeli ID cards.

Combined Knife and Handgun Attack
Aryeh Shavit, one of the first emergency medical responders to arrive at the scene, said that “two terrorists entered a synagogue and slaughtered the worshipers as they were praying, donning their prayer shawls and phylacteries. We provide initial medical treatment to the wounded with various digress of injuries; unfortunately, several of them were severely wounded. A quick response by Israel’s police neutralized the terrorists. It was a combined knife and handgun attack.”

One of the worshipers present during the attack described how two terrorists entered the synagogue while shooting and shouting Allah Akbar. “They continued to try and harm anyone who was in their way or who tried to escape.”
Another eyewitness commented that the scene of the terror attack with bloodied bodies of Jews wearing tallitot and tefillin (prayer shawls and phylacteries) was reminiscent of scenes from the Holocaust.
Hamas Lauds Attack
Hamas embraced the attack, claiming it was in response to the alleged “murder” by Israelis of Hasan Ramouni, an Arab bus driver who committed suicide this week. It was also in retaliation for “Israel’s continued crimes on the Temple Mount,” Hamas added, calling for the continuation of terror attack against Israeli citizens.

There are reports of Palestinian celebrations in Gaza after the attack.

Palestinians Celebrate Terror Attack, 24 Children Orphaned
Palestinians are celebrating the vicious murder of four Rabbis while praying at a Jerusalem synagogue Tuesday morning. Twenty-four children were orphaned.
Palestinians in Gaza and in Judea and Samaria went out to the streets on Wednesday to celebrate the brutal murder of four Rabbis praying at a Jerusalem synagogue. Twenty-four children became orphans and several men were wounded.

Palestinians served sweets and baked goods to people on the street and launched firecrackers in a display of celebration. Students in Bethlehem joined in the festivities by sharing candy.
Ynet reports that the parents of the two terrorists broke out in a joy upon hearing of the lethal attack that their sons perpetrated. “They are both Shahids (martyrs) and heroes,” the families declared.
Allah Abu Jamal, one of the terrorists’ cousins, stated that “this act occurred because of pressures exerted by the Israeli government against the Palestinian people in general, and a prolonged harming of the al-Aqsa mosque. This is to be expected from any man who has courage and a sense of belonging to his Muslim nation.”
“We responded with cheers when we heard of their death,” he added. “People offered candy to those who came to visit us, and there was happiness for the Shahids.”
‘Many More Youngsters…Willing to Harm Jews’
He claims the family did not know of their sons’ intentions. “The terror attack was a big surprise for us,” he said, concluding with the statement: “Praise Allah, a man dying a Shahid is a great thing.”

A resident of the terrorist’s neighborhood expressed pride, saying: “We have many more youngsters and nothing to lose. They are willing to harm Jews, anything for al-Aqsa.”
Another resident felt that terror attacks were the proper way to express their dismay with the political situation. “People here won’t sit quietly, they will continue to respond. We will make the lives of the Jews difficult everywhere.”
Hamas Continues to Praise the Deadly Attack
Sami Abu Zuhri, a Hamas spokesman, is one of many who praised the attack, which in his words was a natural reaction to the “occupation.” In a Facebook post, he called to continue such attacks against Israeli civilians and soldiers.

Mushir al-Masri, also a Hamas spokesman, called the attack a “heroic action.”
Husam Badran, responsible for Hamas’s foreign relations, described the attack as a “quality action.”
jerusalem thirsty
Poster reads: “Jerusalem is thirsty, and this thirst will be quenched with blood.”

“A message to all members of national security in the West Bank [Judea and Samaria]. You are trained and you have the weapons and the ability to act. There is no doubt that there are many patriots among you. Now, you can see the young people of the West Bank are fighting without weapons. Some of you can make a significant change in the resistance. Turn your weapons against your enemies and ours. Write your names in the true list of honor,” Badran stated.
Palestinian social media has been awash with cartoons and graphics celebrating the attack and encouraging more terror. This bout of creativity follows the Palestinian song calling for the further use of their cars for terror attacks in what they call the “car Intifada,” and a social media campaign using cartoons to promote the murder of Israelis in any possible fashion.

Abbas’ Condemnation of Jerusalem Massacre is Contemptible
Abbas' Fatah party celebrated a brutal terror attack at a Jerusalem synagogue, yet the PA leader issued an official condemnation that was clearly two-faced.
Palestinian Authority Chair Mahmoud Abbas’s condemnation of the despicable terror attack at a Jerusalem synagogue Tuesday morning is dishonest, considering, for example, his recent praise for the would-be murderer of Rabbi Yehuda Glick, an activist for equal civil rights for people of all faiths at the Temple Mount.

Earlier this month, following a conference at the Menachem Begin Heritage Center in Jerusalem organized by the Haliba Movement for Jewish Freedom on the Temple Mount, Islamic Jihad terrorist Muatez Hijazi shot Glick multiple times in the chest; Glick is miraculously recuperating at Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
Abbas praised Hijazi and raged against Israeli security forces who killed the terrorist at the scene of the attempted assassination. “Muatez Ibrahim Hijazie…rose to the heavens as a martyr,” Abbas, who had been Israel’s partner in the failed U.S.-brokered peace negotiations, stated.
Many have noted the discrepancy, asking why the Palestinian leader would praise one deadly terror attack and condemn another. What is the difference between the two? Could the condemnation possibly be sincere?
Indeed, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, immediately following the tragic murder of four innocent Jews praying at a synagogue, as well as the wounding of several others, accused Abbas of having played a significant role in the attack, notwithstanding the PA leader’s words of condemnation.
“This is the direct result of the incitement being led by Hamas and Abu Mazen [Abbas’s nom de guerre], incitement which the international community is irresponsibly ignoring. We will respond with a heavy hand to the brutal murder of Jews who came to pray and were met by reprehensible murderers,” Netanyahu declared.

WATCH: Economics Minister Naftali Bennett Confronts BBC
International media coverage of Tuesday morning's massacre at a Jerusalem synagogue has already received criticism, with media watchdogs pointing out a slew of headlines and stories downplaying or otherwise misrepresenting the attack.
Four people were murdered and eight wounded, four seriously, when two terrorists stormed Kehillat Bnai Torah Yeshiva Synagogue in Jerusalem’s Har Nof neighborhood during morning prayers on Tuesday.

Harrowing images from the scene show men still wrapped in bloodied prayer shawls, their tefillin (phylacteries) scattered on the floor.
In a BBC news interview following the attack, responding to a Palestinian spokesperson who railed about “Jewish murderers” in Jerusalem, Economy Minister Naftali Bennett sought to set the record straight.
Echoing other Israeli leaders, he blamed Palestinian Authority head Mahmoud Abbas for inciting such attacks.
“Abu Mazen [Abbas] himself incites and tells the Arab ‘take arms, fight the Jews’,” Bennett said, in a reference to several statements in recent weeks in which Abbas had called on Palestinians to use violence.
Bennett then produced a picture of one of the victims of Tuesday’s attack, in an attempt to make his point.
“This individual came this morning to pray just like many Muslims and many Jews went to pray this morning. The Muslims went home safe but four Jews will never come home again,” he stated.
The interviewer was less than pleased with the visual aid, despite it being no more graphic than countless other images of injured Palestinians regularly given airtime. “Sorry we don’t want to actually see that picture, could you take that down,” she said.
WATCH
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24zM_glrVVU
Taking to Facebook, Bennett said his actions during the interview were a response to the previous interviewee’s provocative remarks.

“Yes, I will show this, Mrs. British interviewer,” read the statement.
“Now in an interview with the BBC I went on after a Palestinian spokesperson, who told of Jewish murderers in Jerusalem (!) In response I showed the interviewer who is murdering whom. She requested I stop showing the picture. I will never stop.”

In the latest in a stream of attacks on Jewish victims in Israel’s capital, a 32-year-old Jewish man was stabbed with a screwdriver Sunday night. His attacker was identified as an Arab man.

The victim, who was not identified but was described as a Breslov Hassid, suffered light-to-moderate injuries when he was stabbed in the back at approximately 6 p.m. on Jerusalem’s Hanevi’im Street near the Light Rail station. He reached Border Patrol officers on his own steam, where he reported the incident. He was taken to the Western Wall, where he was treated by Magen David Adom staff, and later transferred to Sha’are Zedek Medical Center for further treatment. The victim remained conscious the entire time.
Police spokesperson Micky Rosenfeld, who provided the details of the incident, said the suspect fled the scene on foot in the direction of the Damascus Gate, and has yet to be apprehended. A massive search is underway, and multiple roadblocks have been set up to capture the perpetrator.
Within an hour of the incident, Hamas praised the attack, calling it a “natural response” to Israel’s “crimes”, according to Palestinian news site Al Resalah.
This incident is only the latest in a spate of terrorist attacks which have seen more Israelis injured or killed in the past two months than in the previous two years combined. Last Monday, a 20-year-old Israeli soldier, Almog Shiloni, was murdered outside a Tel Aviv train station, and a 26-year-old woman, Dalia Lemkus, was stabbed to death at a bus stop in the Etzion Bloc. Another 100 Israelis have been injured in various terrorist attacks in the past month, with perpetrators originating in the West Bank.

In the last 24 hours, Palestinian terrorists have carried out approximately nine attacks in Israel. The attacks claimed the lives of a 20-year-old IDF soldier and a 26-year-old woman.

IDF soldier Almog Shiloni, who was stabbed by a terrorist while waiting for a bus in Tel Aviv, died of his wounds on Monday afternoon. Israel Radio reported that family members of the terrorist,  Nur al-Din Abu Hashiyeh, were arrested at the family home in Nablus and taken for questioning.
Hamas spokesman Husam Badran praised the attack, saying it served as a sign to Israel of the determination of the Palestinian people.

Vote on Basic Law Defining Israel as "Jewish" Postponed
“And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said: ‘Unto thy seed will I give this land’; and he builded there an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.” (Genesis 12:7)
A planned vote on a Basic Law which would enshrine Israel’s legal status as a Jewish nation-state was scuttled Sunday, as Justice Minister Tzipi Livni (Hatnua) exercised her powers as chairwoman of the Ministerial Committee on Legislation to delay the discussion.

Sunday’s vote already had Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s support, though he insisted the bill still needed some changes. “The judiciary, which recognizes Israel’s democratic side, will also have to recognize that Israel is the nation-state of the Jewish People,” Netanyahu said at the start of Sunday morning’s cabinet meeting. We will advance the nation state law today, and while it will go through many changes, at the end of the day we will be able to make clear that Israel is the nation state of the Jewish people, along with a guarantee of equal rights for all of its citizens,” Netanyahu added.

One of the most important feelings a person has is a sense of home, a sense of belonging where a person can be themselves, with all of their failings and idiosyncrasies, and still be accepted. When that sense is lacking, the effects can be extremely harsh on an adult, and devastating on child.

How Amnesty International Suppresses Free Speech
By: Professor Alan M. Dershowitz
As a supporter of the two-state solution and an opponent of many of Israel’s settlement decisions, I regard myself as a moderate on these issues. That was apparently too much for the national office of Amnesty International to tolerate.
Last month the Columbia University chapter of Amnesty International invited me to deliver a talk on human rights in the Middle East. I accepted the invitation, anxious to present a balanced view on human rights, focusing on the Israeli-Arab-Palestinian issue. As a supporter of the two-state solution and an opponent of many of Israel’s settlement decisions, I regard myself as a moderate on these issues. That was apparently too much for the national office of Amnesty International to tolerate. They demanded that the Columbia chapter of Amnesty International disinvite me. They did not want their members to hear my perspective on human rights.

The excuse they provided were two old and out-of-context quotes suggesting that I favored torture and collective punishment. The truth is that I am adamantly opposed to both. I have written nuanced academic articles on the subject of torture warrants as a way of minimizing the evils of torture, and I have written vehemently against the use of collective punishment of innocent people — whether it be by means of the boycott movement against all Israelis or the use of collective punishment against Palestinians. I do favor holding those who facilitate terrorism responsible for their own actions.

From Gaza to Catalonia: Europe's Insufferable Hypocrisy
By: Michael Freund
This past Saturday, European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini set a world record for diplomatic duplicity and haste. Barely seven days after assuming her new post, she rushed to pay a visit to Gaza and Ramallah, where she managed to call for the division of Jerusalem, denounce housing construction for Jews in Judea and Samaria, and insist on the establishment of a Palestinian state. This is European hypocrisy of the highest order. It is sickening in its scope and magnitude. And it is time for it to stop.
This past Saturday, European Union foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini set a world record for diplomatic duplicity and haste. Barely seven days after assuming her new post, the former Italian foreign minister rushed to pay a visit to Gaza and Ramallah, where she managed to call for the division of Jerusalem, denounce housing construction for Jews in Judea and Samaria, and insist on the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Mustering up all the moral bluster that European diplomats are so fond of, she did not hesitate to lecture Israel, as if she knew better than the Jewish state what its own national interests might be. Dead Syrians may be littering the streets of Aleppo while Islamic State is busy beheading Kurds and Christians in Iraq, and Saudi women might be struggling to be allowed to drive cars, but Mogherini appears to have a one-track mind when it comes to the Middle East. And it revolves only around Israel.

Christians "Losing Everything" to Islam
By: Raymond Ibrahim
While today’s Western Christians still quote the words of St. Paul in reference to their daily sacrifices, an increasing number of Christians around the world, especially the Muslim world, are indeed still losing absolutely everything for their faith.

While today’s Western Christians still quote the words of St. Paul in reference to their daily sacrifices, an increasing number of Christians around the world, especially the Muslim world, are indeed still losing absolutely everything for their faith.
This week in Pakistan, a pregnant Christian mother of four and her husband, falsely accused of burning pages of the Koran, were beaten by a Muslim mob and thrown into a kiln, a fiery oven at a brick factory, where they were roasted alive.

Over 200 Christian girls in Nigeria were captured by Boko Haram. “I abducted your girls, said its leader, Abubakar Shekau in May; “By Allah I will sell them in the marketplace” as slaves.
“I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things”—Philippians 3:8
When St. Paul wrote the above in his letter to the Christians of Philippi, he and the early church were being persecuted (Paul was eventually executed in Rome). While today’s Western Christians still quote his words in reference to their daily sacrifices, an increasing number of Christians around the world, especially the Muslim world, are indeed still losing absolutely everything for their faith.
In Uganda, in just a decade, matters have gone from bad to worse to murderous. The situation of Hassan Muwanguzi, for instance, a Muslim convert to Christianity — whose initial sacrifices are recorded in Crucified Again: Exposing Islam’s New War on Christians (page 131) — far from abating, have only gotten worse.

Palestinians' "Car Intifada" and Obama's Peace Process
By: Khaled Abu Toameh
The “car intifada,” which has claimed the lives of four Israelis, including a three-month-old infant, is being hailed by many Palestinians as a “natural response to Israeli crimes.” But Kerry and the Obama Administration seem to be living on a different planet. While they are trying to find ways to bring the Palestinians back to the negotiating table, Palestinian leaders and organizations are busy inciting their people against Israel.

It is hard to see how Abbas can return to the negotiating table while many Palestinians, at his behest, are busy thinking about how to kill Israelis.

It is not enough for Kerry to listen to what Abbas or Erekat are telling him in English. Instead, Kerry and Obama should listen to what Palestinian leaders and activists are telling their people in Arabic. Perhaps they will understand that as long as the incitement against Israel continues, there is no chance — zero — for the success of any peace process.

It began as a “children’s intifada” in Jerusalem, where Palestinians aged eight to 18 were encouraged to take to the streets and throw stones and shoot fireworks at vehicles driven by Israelis and policemen.

Now, however, Palestinians are referring to it as a “car intifada” after two Palestinian drivers deliberately ran over Israelis in Jerusalem over the past two weeks.

The “car intifada,” which has claimed the lives of four Israelis, including a three-month-old infant, is being hailed by many Palestinians as a “natural response to Israeli crimes.”
The “crimes” they are referring to are visits by Jewish groups and individuals to the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
The Palestinian Authority [PA], Hamas and Islamic Jihad are using these visits to stir up Palestinians against Israel. The recent terror attacks in Jerusalem are the direct result of this campaign of incitement.
The widow of Ibrahim Akkari, the 48-year-old Palestinian who drove his car into a group of Israelis in Jerusalem on November 5, said that her husband was influenced by TV scenes of clashes between Palestinians and Israeli policemen at the Temple Mount.

The widow, Amira, said that her husband carried out the attack in retaliation against Israeli “assaults” on the Aqsa Mosque. “He was martyred for the sake of the Aqsa Mosque,” she said.
Security camera footage from the “Shimon Hatzadik” light rail station in Jerusalem shows four victims lying on the tracks as the terrorist, Hamas member Ibrahim Akkari, speeds away in a white van (upper right), November 5, 2014. One person was killed and 14 others were wounded in the attack.
Recent statements by PA President Mahmoud Abbas may also have convinced Akkari to go out and run over Israelis. Two weeks before the attack, Abbas called on Palestinians to “use all means” to protect the Aqsa Mosque.

“It is not enough to say the settlers came (to the Temple Mount), but they must be barred from entering the compound by any means. This is our Aqsa, and they have no right to enter it and desecrate it,” Abbas told Fatah activists during a meeting in his Ramallah office.
As if not enough, Abbas indirectly encouraged Palestinians to resort to violence against Israel by praising the Palestinian who shot and severely wounded activist Rabbi Yehuda Glick in Jerusalem on October 29.
A special Israeli police unit caught up with the shooter a few hours later and killed him in a gunfight.
In a letter to the family of the would-be assassin, Mu’taz Hijazi, Abbas wrote: “With anger, we have received the news of the vicious assassination crime committed by the terrorists of the Israeli occupation army against your son, who will go to heaven as a martyr defending the rights of our people and its holy sites.”
The letter of condolences contradicts Abbas’s promise to U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry to work toward calming the situation and refrain from fiery rhetoric that leads to more violence and bloodshed.
What is more disturbing is the widespread support among Palestinians for the recent terror attacks in Jerusalem.
This support is being expressed mostly on social media, where Palestinian activists have launched campaigns that praise the perpetrators and encourage others to follow suit.
The most popular campaign is entitled Daes, which translates into “run over” in Arabic. Daes is also a reference to Daesh, the Arabic acronym for ISIS. The online campaigns feature cartoons that encourage Palestinians to use their vehicles to kill Israelis.
One cartoon depicts a child wearing a Hamas headband and driving a car. The caption reads: “O Palestinian, drive, drive forward!”
The activists have published many other similarly-themed cartoons as part of their campaign to encourage Palestinians to launch terror attacks on Israel.

One of many cartoons published by Palestinian activists and their supporters in the Daes ["run over"] social media campaign, aimed at encouraging Palestinians to run over and kill Israelis with their cars.
The anti-Israel campaign, and the incitement by Abbas, Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian groups, coincide with Kerry’s renewed effort to revive the stalled peace talks between Israel and the Palestinians.

Earlier this week, Kerry met in Washington with a Palestinian delegation, headed by chief PLO negotiator Saeb Erekat, to discuss ways of resuming the peace talks.
But Kerry and the Obama Administration seem to be living on a different planet. While they are trying to find ways to bring the Palestinians back to the negotiating table, Palestinian leaders and organizations are busy inciting their people against Israel.
Even worse, Palestinian activists are busy organizing online campaigns urging and encouraging Palestinians to launch terror attacks on Israelis. It is hard to see how Abbas can return to the negotiating table while many Palestinians, at his behest, are busy thinking about how to kill more Israelis.
The Obama Administration would do well to understand that it is a waste of time to talk about any peace process when Palestinian leaders and activists are openly glorifying those who use their vehicles to kill Israelis.
The Obama Administration is talking about reviving the peace process while Abbas is telling his people that Jews are “desecrating” the holy sites in Jerusalem and praising an assassin as a “hero” and “martyr.”
It is not enough for Kerry to listen to what Abbas or Erekat are telling him in English. Instead, Kerry and Obama must also start listening to what Palestinian leaders and activists are telling their people in Arabic.
Moreover, it would also be a good idea for Obama and Kerry to go online and view the most recent Palestinian campaigns that encourage and applaud terror attacks on Israelis. Perhaps then they will understand that as long as the incitement continues, there is no chance — zero — for the success of any peace process between Israel and the Palestinians.

Decade-Old Plan to Create Islamic State - and Obama Helped
By: Raymond Ibrahim

Although the birth of the Islamic State and the herald of the caliphate are often regarded as some of 2014’s “big shockers,” they were foretold in striking detail and with an accurate timeline by an al-Qaeda insider nearly one decade ago.
On August 12, 2005, Spiegel Online International published an article titled “The Future of Terrorism: What al-Qaeda Really Wants.”  Written by Yassin Musharbash, the article was essentially a review of a book written by Fouad Hussein, a Jordanian journalist with close access to al-Qaeda and its affiliates, including the late Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, who pioneered the videotaping of beheadings “to strike terror into the hearts” of infidels (Koran 3:151).

BIN-OpEd-Experts-300x250(1)As Hussein explained in the introduction of his book Al Zarqawi: Al Qaeda’s Second Generation: “I interviewed a whole range of al-Qaeda members with different ideologies to get an idea of how the war between the terrorists and Washington would develop in the future.”
And in fact the book details the master plan of al-Qaeda—in its “second generation” manifestation known as the “Islamic State” which follows much of Zarqawi’s modus operandi—to resurrect a caliphate.  This plan is sufficiently outlandish that Yassin Musharbash, the author of the Spiegel article reviewing Hussein’s book, repeatedly casts doubt on its feasibility.  Thus al-Qaeda’s plan is “proof both of the terrorists’ blindness as well as their brutal single-mindedness”; there is “no way” al-Qaeda can follow the plan “step by step”; “the idea that al-Qaeda could set up a caliphate in the entire Islamic world is absurd”; and the following “scenario should be judged skeptically.”
Yet it is all the more remarkable that much of this plan—especially those phases dismissed as infeasible by Musharbash (four and five)—have come to pass.
In what follows, I reproduce the seven phases of al-Qaeda’s master plan as presented in Musharbash’s nearly ten-year-old article (in bullet points and italics, bold for emphasis), with my commentary interspersed for context.  Phases four and five are of particular importance as they describe the goals for recent times, much of which have come to fruition according to plan.
An Islamic Caliphate in Seven Easy Steps
•The First Phase Known as “the awakening”—this has already been carried out and was supposed to have lasted from 2000 to 2003, or more precisely from the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 in New York and Washington to the fall of Baghdad in 2003. The aim of the attacks of 9/11 was to provoke the US into declaring war on the Islamic world and thereby “awakening” Muslims. “The first phase was judged by the strategists and masterminds behind al-Qaeda as very successful,” writes Hussein. “The battle field was opened up and the Americans and their allies became a closer and easier target.” The terrorist network is also reported as being satisfied that its message can now be heard “everywhere.”
Much of this is accurate and makes sense.  Sadly, if any eyes were opened after the 9/11 attacks on American soil, they weren’t Western eyes—certainly not the eyes of Western leadership, mainstream media, and academia.  But to many Muslims, the strikes of 9/11 were inspiring and motivating, giving credence to Osama bin Laden’s characterization of America as a “paper tiger.” A few years after the Islamic strikes of 9/11, Americans responded by electing a man with a Muslim name and heritage for president, even as he continuously empowers in a myriad of ways—including banning knowledge of Islam—the same ideology behind the strikes of 9/11. Meanwhile, the average Muslim relearned the truths of their religion, namely that the “infidel” is an existential enemy and jihad against him is a duty, as al-Qaeda and others had successfully shown.
•The Second Phase “Opening Eyes” is, according to Hussein’s definition, the period we are now in [writing in 2005] and should last until 2006. Hussein says the terrorists hope to make the western conspiracy aware of the “Islamic community.” Hussein believes this is a phase in which al-Qaeda wants an organization to develop into a movement. The network is banking on recruiting young men during this period. Iraq should become the center for all global operations, with an “army” set up there and bases established in other Arabic states.
This too is accurate.   Among other things, the “Islamic community,” the umma, began to be more visible and vocal during this time frame, including through a rash of attacks and riots following any perceived “insult” to Islam, growing demands for appeasement, and accusations of “Islamophobia” against all and sundry.  If there weren’t any spectacular terror attacks on the level of 9/11, young Muslim men were quietly enlisting and training in the jihad—or in western parlance, “radicalizing.”  Al-Qaeda went from being an “organization” to a “movement”—international “radicalization.”  Most importantly, Iraq, as the world now knows, certainly did become the “center for all global operations” with an “army” of jihadis set up there.
•The Third Phase This is described as “Arising and Standing Up” and should last from 2007 to 2010. “There will be a focus on Syria,” prophesies Hussein, based on what his sources told him. The fighting cadres are supposedly already prepared and some are in Iraq. Attacks on Turkey and—even more explosive— in Israel are predicted. Al-Qaeda’s masterminds hope that attacks on Israel will help the terrorist group become a recognized organization. The author also believes that countries neighboring Iraq, such as Jordan, are also in danger.
Much of this third phase as described and transpired seems to have been an extension of phase two.  In retrospect, there certainly appears to have been a focus on Syria, even if the jihad started there one year behind schedule (2011).  And many of the jihadis were “already prepared” and “some are in Iraq.”   None of this was a surprise, of course, as U.S. intelligence always indicated that if American forces withdrew from Iraq, the jihadis would take over.
•The Fourth Phase Between 2010 and 2013, Hussein writes that al-Qaeda will aim to bring about the collapse of the hated Arabic governments. The estimate is that “the creeping loss of the regimes’ power will lead to a steady growth in strength within al-Qaeda.” At the same time attacks will be carried out against oil suppliers and the US economy will be targeted using cyber terrorism.
This is immensely prophetic.  Recall that the timeline given (2010-2013) coincides remarkably well with the so-called “Arab Spring,” which culminated with Islamic terrorists and their allies taking over the leadership of several Arab countries formerly ruled by secularized autocrats: Egypt, the Muslim Brotherhood (which plays Dr. Jekyll to al-Qaeda’s Mr. Hyde); Libya, al-Qaeda/Islamic jihadis; ongoing Syria, al-Qaeda/Islamic jihadis (or their latest manifestation, the Islamic State, al-Qaeda’s “second generation”), etc.  It should be remembered that in each of these nations—Egypt, Libya, Syria—the Obama administration played a major role in empowering the jihadis, though in the name of “democracy.”
•The Fifth Phase This will be the point at which an Islamic state, or caliphate, can be declared. The plan is that by this time, between 2013 and 2016, Western influence in the Islamic world will be so reduced and Israel weakened so much, that resistance will not be feared. Al-Qaeda hopes that by then the Islamic state will be able to bring about a new world order.
Again, right on time: the “Islamic State” declared itself the “caliphate” in 2014, with many Muslim organizations and persons around the world pledging their allegiance, if not imitating their slaughter, with inspired “lone wolves” already beheading “infidels” in Western nations.   And if the administration helped empower jihadis during the “Arab Spring” and in the name of “democracy” in Egypt, Libya, and Syria, it helped the creation of the Islamic State by withdrawing U.S. military forces that were keeping al-Qaeda at bay in Iraq.
Recall that in 2007 George W. Bush said that “To begin withdrawing [military forces] before our commanders tell us we are ready would be dangerous for Iraq, for the region and for the United States.  It would mean surrendering the future of Iraq to Al Qaeda.  It would mean that we’d be risking mass killings on a horrific scale.  It would mean we allow the terrorists to establish a safe haven in Iraq to replace the one they lost in Afghanistan.  It would mean we’d be increasing the probability that American troops would have to return at some later date to confront an enemy that is even more dangerous.” All of these predictions have proven remarkably prescient—not because Bush was a prophet but because U.S intelligence clearly understood the situation in Iraq, and briefed Obama on it just as it did Bush. Yet, in 2011, Obama declared the Iraq war a success and pulled out American troops, leaving the way wide open for the jihadi master plan of resurrecting the caliphate to unfold.
•The Sixth Phase Hussein believes that from 2016 onwards there will a period of “total confrontation.” As soon as the caliphate has been declared the “Islamic army” it will instigate the “fight between the believers and the non-believers” which has so often been predicted by Osama bin Laden.
This needs clarification.  While many assume that the “fight between the believers and the non-believers” is between Muslims and non-Muslims, this is not always the case.  Soon after the announcement of the caliphate, the Islamic State made clear that it was in the phase of waging jihad on “apostates” and “hypocrites,” meaning all the “apostate” or “infidel” Arab leaders like Bashar al-Assad, as well as Muslim populations that are insufficiently “Islamic.”  It is for this reason that the new caliph took on the name of “Abu Bakr”—the name of the first historic caliph (632-634) whose caliphate was characterized by fighting and bringing back into the fold of Islam all those Arabs who broke away after Muhammad died.   Afterwards, when all the Arab tribes were unified under the banner of Islam, the great historic conquests, or jihads against neighboring “infidels,” took place.
•The Seventh Phase This final stage is described as “definitive victory.” Hussein writes that in the terrorists’ eyes, because the rest of the world will be so beaten down by the “one-and-a-half billion Muslims,” the caliphate will undoubtedly succeed. This phase should be completed by 2020, although the war shouldn’t last longer than two years.
Phase seven remains to be seen, as it is has another five years to go.  As for the world being “so beaten down by the one-and-a-half billion Muslims,” actor Ben Affleck reflected this sentiment recently when he kept apologizing for Islam by saying Muslims “are a billion and a half.”   At any rate, considering that the preceding phases have all largely come to pass—with a passive West doing nothing to prevent them, that is, when not actively aiding them—there is certainly no good reason to think Western leadership will stop the final phase from occurring: a unified, aggressive, expansionist, and eventually possibly even nuclear armed caliphate preparing to terrorize its neighbors on a grand scale—just like its historic predecessor did for centuries.

Jerusalem Sees Lull in Violence Amid Tensions and New Security Measures
“Behold, all who are incensed against you shall be put to shame and confounded; those who strive against you shall be as nothing and shall perish.” (Isaiah 41:11)

Following consultations with the IDF, Shin Bet, and Police Department, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu together with other ministers and the Diplomatic-Security Cabinet decided on a series of security measures aimed at curtailing the recent bout of terror attacks across the country. Some of the measures were put into immediate effect.

In a statement made to the press late Tuesday afternoon following the meeting, Netanyahu listed some of the heightened security measures which included; “deploying extra forces (four battalions) on and around highways throughout Judea and Samaria; the demolition of terrorists’ homes; a more severe punishment for those who throw stones, bottles, fireworks and firebombs; imposing fines on the parents of children and youth who throw stones; and the outlawing of those elements that are stirring up unrest in Jerusalem.” Fireworks were included as a violent weapon in the statement as they have recently been used in multiple attacks against police and security forces.
Other security measures that were taken to “boost the public’s sense of security”, included the setting up of blockades around flashpoint neighborhoods of Jerusalem where rioters have attacked both civilians and police officers; and the moving of arch-terrorist  Marwan Barghouti to solitary confinement after he managed to smuggle a letter out of prison with the intent to incite violence against Israelis in honor of the 10th anniversary of Yasser Arafat’s death.
Barghouti was transferred after a disciplinary hearing that was held in Hadarim Prison. He was found guilty of attempted incitement. The hearing also resulted in the fining of Barghouti for a breach of conduct stating that the letter was considered “an interview conducted without permission”.
The convicted murderer and terrorist leader is known to be an enemy of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, and has continually called for violent resistance to Israel.

Alan Dershowitz will be speaking on “Israel, ISIS and the War Against Terrorism” this Sunday night at New York University. American Friends of Dental Volunteers for Israel is hosting Professor Dershowitz to raise funds for the Trudi Birger Children’s Dental Clinic, the only free children’s dental clinic in Jerusalem.

Professor Dershowitz, has recently given an interview explaining how Israel’s strategy against Hamas should be used as a blueprint for the US to combat ISIS. He also recently authored a book entitled ‘Terror Tunnels: The Case for Israel’s Just War Against Hamas’ in which Dershowitz shows why Israel’s struggle against Hamas is a fight not only to protect its own citizens, but for all democracies. He argues that the nation-state of the Jewish people is providing a model for all who are threatened by terrorist groups—such as ISIS, al-Qaeda and Boko Haram.

Israeli and Kenyan Parliaments Sign Cooperation Agreement
“A Song of Ascents. Of David. Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity!” (Psalm 133:1)
Israel and Kenya signed an agreement today, pledging to strengthen ties and increase cooperation between the two countries. Representatives from Kenya’s National Assembly met with their counterparts in the Knesset to sign the agreement in Israel.

The agreement stated that Israel and Kenya’s “shared belief in the values of freedom, democracy and tolerance, as well as the diplomatic, cultural and economic ties uniting their two countries, create fertile ground for the formal launching of initiatives promoting co-operation between the two. Parliaments, and a strengthening of ties between the two peoples and two countries.”
“I thank the Speaker of the Knesset for his hospitality and I believe that we will succeed in creating true cooperation between the two parliaments. I very much hope for this. Already today, in the Knesset, we will discuss cooperation as this very successful visit to Israel continues,” said Speaker of the Kenyan Parliament, Justin Muturi, at the signing ceremony.

Abbas Vows to End Jewish "Contamination" of Temple Mount
“There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood...” (Proverbs 6:16-19)
Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas warned Tuesday that he and fellow Palestinians would not allow Jews to “contaminate” the Temple Mount, adding that allowing Jewish prayer at the site would result in a global “religious war.”

In a speech given to thousands at a gathering commemorating the 10th anniversary of the death of PLO leader Yasser Arafat in Ramallah, Abbas warned that the Israeli government was attempting to change the status quo on the Temple Mount.
“Keep the settlers and the extremists away from Al-Aqsa and our holy places,” Abbas stated.
“We will not allow our holy places to be contaminated. Keep them away from us and we will stay away from them, but if they enter Al-Aqsa, we will protect Al-Aqsa and the church and the entire country,” he added. .
Abbas defended the violent riots perpetrated by Muslim “heroes” at the Al-Aqsa Mosque, saying that they “have a right to defend themselves and the holy places.”
He further stated that no Muslim or Christian would ever recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. “The Muslim and Christian worlds will never accept Israel’s claims that Jerusalem belongs to them. The Jerusalem that was occupied in 1967 belongs to us,” Abbas declared.
The Temple Mount is one of the most hotly contested religious sites in the world. The holiest site in Judaism and the third holiest in Israel, Jews are forbidden from praying on the Mount. Israel captured the Temple Mount in 1967 from Jordan but allowed the Muslim Waqf to remain in control of the area.

WATCH: Turkish Muslim Nationalists Assault US Servicemen in Istanbul
This shocking video shows how three U.S. Navy Sailors in Istanbul were attacked and chased by a mob just because they are U.S. citizens.
Three U.S. Navy sailors experienced extreme prejudice and hatred in Istanbul from a group of 12 Turkish Muslim nationalists. The sailors were attacked on a crowded street in Istanbul where they had paint thrown at them and hoods put over their faces. The assailants are members of the nationalist Turkish Youth Union (TGB). They face possible charges of insult, injury and breaching public protest laws.

The U.S. embassy condemned the attack, calling it “appalling.” The Pentagon said that shore leave is cancelled in Turkey for other servicemen from the U.S. Navy.
The Turkish Foreign Ministry also spoke out, condemning the attack and branding it as being disrespectful and “impossible to view with tolerance.”

UNITED WITH ISRAEL
US Criticizes Israel for Demolishing Homes of Terrorists Who Murdered Israelis
The US State Department has criticized Israel for its policy of demolishing the homes of terrorists who have murdered Israeli citizens, claiming it is "counter-productive".
Israel on Thursday ordered the demolition of the home of a terrorist who carried out a tractor attack in Jerusalem this past summer, raising the ire of the United States.
The terrorist whose home is to be demolished is Mohammed Jabis, who slammed his tractor into a bus in Jerusalem in August, killing Rabbi Avraham Walles and injuring six other people.
According to a report in Haaretz, Jabis’s family received notification about the impending demolition. Jabis himself was killed by security forces after carrying out the attack.
State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said that “we believe that punitive demolitions are counterproductive to the cause of peace and exacerbate an already tense situation.”
The comments mark the second time in two days that Psaki has criticized Israel. On Wednesday, the State Department spokeswoman sharply condemned Israeli plans to build 200 new Jewish homes in Jerusalem’s Ramot neighborhood, warning such moves would only “exacerbate” spiraling tensions in the city.
She also blasted an arson attack on mosque in a Palestinian Arab village, which Palestinian Authority security officials blamed on “extremists Jewish settlers” – despite reports that it may have been a deliberately misreported electrical fire.

Abbas Vows to End Jewish "Contamination" of Temple Mount
By Lea Speyer November 12, 2014 , 11:32 am
“There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.” (Proverbs 6:16-19)

Defense Minister Warns of Escalation, Deploys Iron Dome Across North
“A fool spendeth all his spirit; but a wise man stilleth it within him.” (Proverbs 29:11)

While not willing to call it an intifada, Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Ya’alon warned that Israel must prepare for further escalations in violence.
“We must prepare for the possibility of escalation, and that is why we are reinforcing the forces in order to bring about a larger presence,” he said early Tuesday.
In his visit to the Etzion Bloc, site of Monday’s stabbing attack which left one young woman dead and two others injured, Ya’alon encouraged people to remain calm.
“We’re in the midst of an escalation, and won’t allow it to widen,” Ya’alon promised. “We’ve reinforced our deployment….We’re making more arrests. We’ll use a strong arm, including demolishing terrorists’ houses…The fate of any terrorist who raises his hand with a knife or uses a car to run people over is death.”

Media Mogul Haim Saban Says Obama Should "Bomb Living Daylights" Out of Iran
“Ointment and perfume rejoice the heart; so doth the sweetness of a man’s friend by hearty counsel.” (Proverbs 27:9)
Jewish American casino magnate Sheldon Adelson and Israeli American media mogul Haim Saban, political opponents, both expressed unwavering support for Israel during the first ever gathering of the Israeli American Council this weekend.

Adelson, a longtime supporter of the Republican party, and Saban, once the Democrats’ single largest contributor and a personal friend of the Clintons, discussed US policy on Iran, media bias, and, of course, Israel, during a panel discussion at the conference on Sunday. Saban took everyone by surprise with his unusually fierce stance on Iran.
The conference began Friday, and is noted for the first national gathering of Israeli Americans, who number an estimated 600,000 in the US today. Adelson and Saban spoke Sunday before an audience of 700. The panel, mediated by IAC National Chairman Shawn Evenhaim, was videotaped.
Both men feel the US is soft on Iran. The normally more dovish Saban took a militant stand. “I would bomb the living daylights out of the sons of bitches,” an impassioned Saban stated, should all else fail. “Take military action, but only after all options have been exhausted. A stick and a carrot yes — but we’ve shown too many carrots and a small stick,” he said, referring to the US-brokered interim deal in which sanctions would be dialed back in exchange for Iran dialing back its nuclear activity.
