Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is the 10th-most-admired person in the United States, according to the “World’s Most Admired 2016” YouGov poll that gauged the popularity of famous people in 30 different countries.

U.S. President Barack Obama topped the chart, Pope Francis came in second, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders was sixth, and presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump ranked eighth.

Netanyahu ranked higher than former president George W. Bush, actor Johnny Depp, and former president Bill Clinton, who came in 11th, 12th, and 13th, respectively.

The poll was conducted using “open-ended nominations from panelists across 30 countries,” YouGov said.

Lebanese TV station al-Mayadeen reported on Friday morning that Mustafa Bader Al-Din (Badreddine), Hezbbolah’s chief commander for Lebanon was killed in an Israeli airstrike on a Hezbollah base near Damascus’s military airport in Syria.  Al-Din was leading Hezbollah’s fight to support Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.

“He took part in most of the operations of the Islamic resistance since 1982,” Hezbollah said in a statement. The statement to the press also said they were working to “define the nature of the explosion and its cause, and whether it was the result of an air strike, or missile (attack) or artillery.”

Israeli sources have not responded to the claims made by the Arab media that Al-Din was killed by an IAF airstrike. Israel has executed several airstrikes in Syria, mostly to destroy supplies of missiles and rockets en route to Hezbollah in Lebanon.  Last year, it was reported that an Israeli rocket strike killed Lebanese terrorist Samir Kuntar in the Damascus district of Jaramana.

It was reported in Debka that Al-Din’s death may have been as the result of infighting due to conflicts in the Hezbollah leadership over their role in Syria’s civil war. Hezbollah has been taking heavy losses in Syria, over 1,200 fighter s killed, partially due to Russia providing less aerial support for Syrian forces. It was reported that Al-Din wanted to reduce Hezbollah’s presence in Syria in defiance of  the orders of Hasssan Nasrallah, secretary general of Hezbollah.

Until 1982, Al-Din was a member of Fatah, now known as the Palestinian Authority.  He was one of five Hezbollah members indicted by the UN-backed Special Tribunal for Lebanon in the 2005 killing of statesman Rafik al-Hariri.

Al-Din was also arrested in 1983 for the truck bombings of the US and French embassies in Kuwait City that left five people dead and 86 injured. He escaped from Kuwaiti prison when the country was invaded by Iraq in 1990.

Lebanese media outlet, Ya Libnan reported that Al-Din was behind the bombing of the US Marine Corps barracks in Lebanon in 1983, which killed 241 marines. The US Treaury Department put Al-Din on the list of Specially Designated Global Terrorists in 2012.

Nation Celebrates 68 Years of God-Given Jewish Sovereignty in the Land of Israel

One of the most difficult transitions of the year for Israel is the one between the mourning of Memorial Day and the celebrations of Independence Day, marked back-to-back each year. As the sun set Wednesday evening, the entire country shifted from sadness to joy with fireworks, free concerts and performances across the state.

On May 14, 1948, a date which corresponds to the fifth day of the Hebrew month of Iyyar, the State of Israel declared its independence. It was immediately attacked by the forces of five powerful Arab armies, yet the tiny Jewish state prevailed. Finally, after thousands of years, the Jewish people were again sovereign in their Biblical homeland.

Since then, Israel has memorialized its fallen soldiers the day before celebrating its independence each year to appreciate what their loss helped secure. The official torch-lighting ceremony on Mount Herzl during the intervening evening bridges the two days.

This year, in keeping with the theme of “civilian bravery”, the torches were lit by Rona Ramon, Herzl Biton, Gabi Barshishat, Avi Toibin, Dr. Anan Falah, Nili and Moshe Levy, Hillel Bareli, Rotem Elisha, Fainy Sukenik, Yaakov Ehrenfeld, Father Gabriel Naddaf, IDF representative Sgt. Roberto Farah-Usa and Border Police representative Staff Sgt. Alison Berson.

The official ceremony also included a military marching performance, conducted by Col. (ret.) David Rokani, who has led the march for the past 34 years. Earlier this week, Rokani announced that this would be his final parade.

Free concerts, fireworks displays and performances took place across the country Wednesday night. Well-known Israeli artists took to stages in local parks alongside children’s presentation, and parties lasted well into the night.

Thursday is a national holiday, and most Israelis will not be working today. Instead, they will hold barbecues and cookouts with family and friends, visit parks and beaches, or attend one of the many air shows put on by the Israel Air Force. Various army bases and museums are also open to the public during the day.

Israel’s annual International Bible Quiz is held each year on Independence Day. This year’s theme is “Jewish Unity”. It is traditionally attended by the Prime Minister.

Thursday evening, President Reuven Rivlin will host a reception for ambassadors to Israel, and later, the annual Israel Prize ceremony will be held, recognizing Israeli achievements in a wide range of arts and sciences. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is expected to attend these events, as well.

With a background in marketing and interior design, her goal was to reinforce the perception of Israel as a source of innovation and style. Her company showcases Israeli designers and vendors, making their creations available to some of Israel’s strongest supporters in America’s pro-Israel Bible Belt.  She travels to various fairs and trade shows around the country under a beautiful tent, which she decorated like a Mediterranean dreamland. Frequently, she is the only vendor displaying Israeli products.

Hillary Clinton Warns Her Church Against Israel Divestment

As her church prepares to vote on a motion to divest from three companies doing business in Israel, Democratic frontrunner Hillary Clinton condemned the Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, JTA reported.
Clinton, a practicing Methodist, responded to a letter from the Israel Action Network drawing attention to the fact that the Methodist Church was considering the anti-Israel move. Although she did not mention the church specifically, in her two-page response she unequivocally denounced the BDS movement as counterproductive to peace and harmful to both Israelis and Palestinians.
“I believe that BDS seeks to punish Israel and dictate how the Israelis and Palestinians should resolve the core issues of their conflict,” Clinton wrote.
“I know you agree that we need to make countering BDS a priority, and that we need to work together — across party lines and with a diverse array of voices — to reverse this trend with information and advocacy, and fight back against further attempts to isolate and delegitimize Israel,” the letter continues.

The brother of an Israeli man critically wounded in a terror attack lashed out at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday afternoon during Netanyahu’s speech at the official memorial ceremony for Israel’s terror victims.
“Two months ago a terrorist shattered my brother’s skull, after I was injured 15 years ago, and the wounds still haven’t healed,” shouted Rami Cohen at Netanyahu from the audience, criticizing the government’s handling of the recent wave of terror attacks. “And now, again, we are acting leniently [toward terrorism] and don’t know how to deal with it.”

In fact, he discovered that when reading the Torah with at regular intervals—giant intervals at that, starting with a verse from the story of the binding of Isaac (Genesis 22:4) and the commandment to execute mediums and necromancers (Leviticus 20:27), the resulting letters combine to form the phrase: Hillary Ne’siah (Hillary President).

The Bible codes, or Torah codes, is a purported set of secret messages encoded within the Hebrew text of scripture. This hidden code is a method by which specific letters from the text can be selected to reveal an otherwise obscured message, which is often relevant to the narrative of the same verses. Jewish Billionaire Sheldon Adelson Endorses Trump for President

Casino magnate and unabashed patron of Benjamin Netanyahu Sheldon Adelson said he supports Donald Trump in his quest for the highest office in the land, on the same day, Thursday, when Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan said he does not endorse the presumptive Republican nominee. Adelson told reporters he had spoken to Trump recently, and he thinks that the candidate “will be good for Israel.”
Adelson, who invested at least $100 million in the 2012 election, starting ahead of the primaries (he backed Newt Gingrich), told the NY Times, “Yes, I’m a Republican, he’s a Republican. Venezuelan Ambassador to the United Nations Rafael Ramirez accused Israel on Friday of carrying out a Nazi-like “final solution” on the Palestinian people during a meeting of the UN Security Council.

“What does Israel plan to do with the Palestinians? Will they be ‘disappeared’? Does Israel seek probably to wage a ‘final solution’ sort of solution as was perpetrated against the Jews?” Ramirez asked the Council.

The remark was incredibly offensive, especially as it followed on the heels of Holocaust Remembrance Day, observed on Thursday. The “Final Solution” referred to Adolf Hitler’s genocidal plan to rid Germany and Europe of its entire Jewish population through systematic, wholesale murder – known today as the Holocaust.

Ramirez continued to accuse Israel of horrific crimes, saying that the Security Council could not continue to let Palestinians “suffer at the hands of an occupied power who continues to settle in their territory, demolish their homes, grab their lands, imprison their children and murder their women and children.”
Ramirez repeatedly condemned Jewish building in Judea and Samaria, calling it “unlawful” and “illegal”.
The UK’s representative at the meeting, Stephen Hickey, reacted with disgust the the comments, saying, “Whatever one’s views on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, using language like ‘the final solution’ to describe Israeli policy is, in the United Kingdom’s view, both tactless and offensive.”

UN Rejects Netanyahu's Offer of History Lesson

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s offer to teach history to UN personnel was rejected by the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process on Saturday, Nickolay Mladenov.

On Friday, Netanyahu stated that he was shocked that UNESCO would adopt “a decision denying any Jewish connection to the Temple Mount, our holiest site.”

“That is why today I am announcing a seminar on Jewish history for all UN personnel in Israel,” he said in a statement. “I will personally host the lecture at the Prime Minister’s Office,” said Netanyahu, noting that it would be delivered by a “leading scholar of Jewish history.”

He also invited to the lecture diplomats “of countries which voted for this outrageous decision”.

Mladenov responded by declining the offer.

“If someone wants to issue invitations they should be for Paris and addressed to the ambassadors of the member-states of UNESCO there,” he said in a statement.

“UN staff in Jerusalem know the history of the region, its people and religions all too well.”

The Prime Minister’s offer comes in response to recent UNESCO resolutions referring to Israel as an “occupying power”. The UNESCO resolutions also claim several sites holy to Judaism as Muslim sites. The resolutions refer to the Temple Mount as  Al-Haram al-Sharif and Al-Aqsa Mosque. It refers to Al-Buraq Plaza, with ‘Western Wall’ in parentheses.

The resolution was approved by 33 states, including France, Russia, Spain and Sweden. Seventeen countries abstained while six voted against including the United States, Estonia, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

Obama Has Last Laugh as Iran Deal Lies Revealed Too Late

Like the Biblical serpent in the Garden of Eden, the Obama administration has manipulated the American public into supporting a nuclear deal, possibly against their own best interests, a senior security advisor gloated to The New York Times. In a profile of Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes written by reporter David Samuels, the former acknowledged that a carefully crafted campaign to misrepresent the background of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) between Iran and 6 major Western powers was deliberately executed to smoothe the way for the US to disengage from Middle Eastern affairs.

The profile details Rhodes’s transition from aspiring novelist to political writer, as well as his career path to the White House. It focuses on Rhodes’s elaborate spin campaign in favor of the nuclear deal, which critics claim leaves far too much room for Iran to develop the nuclear weapon negotiations were meant to prevent.

Officially, negotiations began when a more moderate government, led by President Hassan Rouhani, was elected in Iran in 2013. In reality, however, Rhodes pointed out, they were initiated in 2012, many months before Rouhani took power. In Samuels’s analysis, “Even where the particulars of that story are true, the implications that readers and viewers are encouraged to take away from those particulars are often misleading or false.”

Rhodes is particularly flippant in describing his methods. “All these newspapers used to have foreign bureaus,” he told Samuels. “Now they don’t. They call [the White House] to explain to them what’s happening in Moscow and Cairo. Most of the outlets are reporting on world events from Washington. The average reporter we talk to is 27 years old, and their only reporting experience consists of being around political campaigns. That’s a sea change. They literally know nothing.”

According to Samuels’s piece, “Rhodes has become adept at ventriloquizing many people at once.” He knows how to navigate the new world of social and electronic media to ensure his version of the truth is circulating.

“We created an echo chamber,” he admitted to Samuels, when asked about the flood of experts suddenly expressing support for the JCPOA. “They were saying things that validated what we had given them to say.” In addition, “We had test drives to know who was going to be able to carry our message effectively, and how to use outside groups like Ploughshares, the Iran Project and whomever else. So we knew the tactics that worked.”

According to Samuels, he is proud of the way he sold the Iran deal. “We drove them crazy,” he said of the deal’s opponents.

Rhodes explained to Samuels the drive behind President Barack Obama’s policies in Iran and elsewhere in the Middle East, putting appeasement of enemies ahead of supporting allies. A senior Iranian official revealed on Monday that the country successfully tested a precision-guided, medium-range ballistic missile, that can easily reach Israel, two weeks ago, the country-run news agency Tasnim reported.

Brigadier General Ali Abdollahi told participants at a Tehran science conference, “We test-fired a missile with a range of 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles) and a margin of error of eight meters.” This eight-meter margin means “full accuracy”, Abdollahi said.

The general went on to reveal that 10 percent of Iran’s defense budget, a substantial sum following the dropping of sanctions earlier this year as a result of the landmark nuclear deal, has been allocated to “research projects aimed at strengthening defense power.”

Iran’s capabilities could spell trouble for the regime’s enemies, a possibility that has aroused international concern. The United States as well as other Western countries have insisted that the Islamic Republic’s missiles threaten anyone in the Middle East who fall within the range of Iranian rockets.

Arguably, the country most at risk of coming under Iranian fire in the region is Israel. Iran’s tenacious animosity towards Israel often makes headlines worldwide. Making sensitive matters worse, Tehran’s clerical rulers continuously refuse to recognize the Jewish state.

Reassurances that the rocket was created purely for defense purposes notwithstanding, should the Iranian military ever decide to launch the missile, Israel would easily be within range.

One strange omission in Trump’s “reassuring” speech continues to cause controversy and reverberations around the world.
David Horowitz has decided to throw in the towel in the presidential contest. The former New Leftist turned conservative activist and deep thinker has apparently concluded that Donald J. Trump will be the GOP nominee and that conservatives have to rally behind him. But one strange omission in Trump’s “reassuring” speech continues to cause controversy and reverberations around the world. Trump failed to even mention Russian aggression in Ukraine.

How could Trump not mention the one country in Europe, Ukraine, which has been recently invaded by Russian forces and a part of which is under foreign occupation? Even if you are so callous as not to care about the freedom of the people of Ukraine, what about the fact that this is the country in which pro-Russian forces fired a missile that brought down a civilian airliner, Malaysian flight MH17, killing all 283 passengers on board? The blood on Russian leader Vladimir Putin’s hands was apparent when his nation vetoed a United Nations proposal to prosecute the perpetrators.

No wonder Trump boasted that Putin has called him a genius. The New York businessman can sound tough while articulating a policy of pandering to, and appeasement of, Russia. And some conservatives are buying it. This is not genius but deliberate deception.
Commenting on Trump’s “reassuring” foreign policy speech, the usually astute Horowitz said it was “a step towards satisfying his conservative critics…” He said Trump had rejected “the neo-conservative dream of democratizing the world” and had instead emphasized an “old-fashioned conservatism” based on “limited foreign policy goals and stability, as the framework of peace.”

Under Obama’s similar limited foreign policy goals, Russia is making major gains, threatening the peace of Europe. Its allies Syria and Iran are on the march in the Middle East. The “old-fashioned conservatism” of someone like Ronald Reagan would never have glossed over the gains made by our enemies. But Trump did.

Horowitz added, “Can’t wait for those Trump-Hillary debates,” a signal from his perspective that the race is over on both the Republican and Democratic sides.

From this perspective, it looks like a debate between two security risks who have no real understanding of the major threats to America and our allies.

Horowitz wrote, “If Mitt Romney had given the speech that Donald Trump did today, and if he had followed its strategy during the third presidential debate with Obama on foreign policy, he would have won the 2012 election.” Romney at least recognized Russia as a geopolitical threat. Trump sounds like Obama or Hillary Clinton, who engineered a disastrous reset with Russia.

In retrospect, Romney looks like a statesman, ahead of his time and aware of the dangers we face. Trump has learned no lessons from the recent history of Russian aggression.

A separate article on the FrontPageMag site by Matthew Vadum was also complimentary toward Trump, calling his speech “important” and “muscular.”

But there was no muscle-flexing toward Russia. It was as if for Trump the Russian invasion of Ukraine, following the Russian invasion of the former Soviet republic of Georgia in 2008, had never taken place. Yet, any good reporter had to mention it. It stood out like orange skin and hair.

Frederik Pleitgen, the CNN international correspondent, reported the euphoria in Russia over Trump, in part because the speech “did not mention Ukraine at all…” But since Trump didn’t take any questions, he wasn’t confronted about this curious omission.

By comparison to Obama, some conservatives are saying that Trump looks pretty good.

Vadum’s article notes that our “Radical-in-Chief now occupying the Oval Office,” Barack Obama, has or had sidekicks and mentors like Jeremiah Wright, Bill Ayers, Rashid Khalidi, Valerie Jarrett, and Frank Marshall Davis. But Trump has Paul Manafort, who worked for the communists in Ukraine, and Carter Page, an adviser to a Russian gas company. Plus, Trump himself has been doing business in Russia and the old Soviet Union. One of his sons has been involved in looking at Russian real estate deals.

The failure by the liberal media to vet Obama should not cause the conservative media to excuse Trump’s curious associations and omissions.

Does your state stand with Israel? 
Those pro-Russian connections explain what we are witnessing in Trump. It was as if Trump during his address was promising “Peace in our time” with Russia. The parallels were frightening, and they went far beyond the echoes of the “America First” mentality that sought to keep America from fighting fascism in Europe before World War II.

How well did ignoring aggression work with Neville Chamberlain and Adolf Hitler?

In addition to an invasion producing thousands of deaths in Ukraine, there’s the Russian record of crimes against humanity in Syria. The Atlantic Council reports, “Putin cynically claimed that the purpose of the mission [in Syria] was to fight ISIS. Nothing could be further from the truth. Russia rarely targeted ISIS in Syria…” Instead, it says Russia’s role was to bolster the regime of Bashar al-Assad, undermine the American-supported Syrian opposition, and prolong the conflict.

The report’s title, “Distract, Deceive, Destroy,” sums up the Putin strategy. Equally significant, the Atlantic Council notes that in prolonging the war, Russia has succeeded in sending “more waves of refugees flooding into Turkey and Europe.”

This is an area in which Trump has practiced his own version of distract and deceive. Opposition to Muslim immigration is his signature issue. He warns that the U.S. should not have to suffer the same fate as Europe. Yet Russia is a significant factor behind the Muslim invasion of Europe. Air Force General Philip M. Breedlove, the Supreme Allied Commander, Europe, and commander of U.S. European Command, has publicly said, “Russia and the Assad regime are deliberately weaponizing migration from Syria in an attempt to overwhelm European structures and break European resolve.”

Trump did not hold Moscow responsible for any of these Muslim refugee problems. He did not attack Moscow for intervening in Syria in such a way as to leave ISIS virtually untouched. Instead, he attacked the United States. Trump said, “Our actions in Iraq, Libya and Syria have helped unleash ISIS, and we’re in a war against radical Islam, but President Obama won’t even name the enemy, and unless you name the enemy, you will never ever solve the problem.”

Our top generals have named the enemy that Trump won’t. And that enemy is Russia. Russia has “chosen to be an adversary and poses a long-term existential threat” to the United States and U.S. allies and partners in Europe, Breedlove said.

Our generals understand that radical Islam and Russia have to be recognized as our enemies. Trump focuses on the former but not the latter. He pretends that the U.S. can work with Russia against radical Islam, when the Russian intervention in Syria proves the exact opposite. Russia is making the Muslim refugee crisis much worse.

We saw news on Friday about how the Syrian air force—backed by Russia—had bombed more civilians and anti-Assad groups in Aleppo. A hospital was hit, killing dozens, including patients, children, and medical staffers. Obama’s Secretary of State John Kerry said he was outraged. He released a statement saying:

“We are outraged by yesterday’s airstrikes in Aleppo on the al Quds hospital supported by both Doctors Without Borders and the International Committee of the Red Cross, which killed dozens of people, including children, patients and medical personnel. It appears to have been a deliberate strike on a known medical facility and follows the Assad regime’s appalling record of striking such facilities and first responders. These strikes have killed hundreds of innocent Syrians.”

In a pathetic plea, Kerry said Russia “has an urgent responsibility to press the regime to fulfill its commitments under UNSCR 2254, including in particular to stop attacking civilians, medical facilities, and first responders, and to abide fully by the cessation of hostilities.”

U.N. resolution 2254 is supposed to be the peace plan for Syria.

Will Trump at least tweet a few words of concern about the actions of Russia and its client state?

On top of this threat, as we noted in an earlier review of the Trump speech, the GOP frontrunner sounds tough on Iran while ignoring Russian sponsorship of the Iranian regime. It’s a nonsensical position. You can’t punish Iran without putting the squeeze on Russia.

Trump’s strange deference to Russia is alarming. It’s no wonder that the Russian ambassador to the United States was invited to sit in the front row as Trump delivered his foreign policy address.

We don’t know if he was applauding wildly, but it’s clear he had to be very satisfied with what he heard from the Republican candidate. The mystery is why Horowitz would find the extremely flawed and even shocking Trump speech so satisfying.

If Trump were to win the nomination and the presidency, we could anticipate our top generals desperately trying to counter the pro-Russian advisers who now surround him. Eventually, they might have to threaten to resign in disgust and dismay. The stakes are that high in Europe and the Middle East.

Horowitz is correct when he talks about how Obama’s agenda has been “American weakness.” But Obama at least gives lip service to the people of Ukraine and Syria. Trump is clearly on the other side—Russia’s side. He doesn’t even give lip service to people struggling for freedom and democracy.

Trump does give lip service to Israel. But how reassuring can those words be when Trump is promising to collaborate in a Russian takeover of Europe and the Middle East?

Peace in our time? Ask the Syrians. Ask the Ukrainians.

What’s been lacking in the Republican presidential contest is a Winston Churchill who will call Trump’s bluff and identify all of America’s enemies, including Russia, by name. Romney did it back in 2012, before events proved him right. Who will do it now before Trump takes the nomination in Cleveland and makes the Republican Party into a presidential vehicle for Vladimir Putin’s favorite foreign politician?

Netanyahu: NATO Invitation Proves World Is “Looking to Cooperate With Us”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Wednesday that he welcomes the invitation by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) for Israel to establish an official mission in its Brussels headquarters, a move which had been previously blocked by Turkey.
“This is a goal that we have worked on for many years,” Netanyahu said before the weekly cabinet meeting on Wednesday. “The countries of the world are looking to cooperate with us due to – inter alia – our determined fight against terrorism, our technological know-how and our intelligence services.”
The NATO invitation to Israel is seen a sign that Turkey, a NATO member, has withdrawn its objections to Israel’s participation as relations between the two countries continue to thaw after years of rupture.
Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu told reporters in Qatar a few days ago that Turkey is willing to sign a reconciliation agreement with Israel, provided that the water and electricity crisis in Gaza is solved.

Tens of thousands of worshippers filled the Western Wall, or Kotel, Plaza on Monday morning for the Birkat Hakohanim (priestly blessing) performed en masse at the Kotel during Passover and Sukkot.
The capital was flooded as over 50,000 Jews made their way to the Old City to receive the Biblical blessing from hundreds of kohanim at the Kotel. Over 3,000 police and security personnel were on hand due to heightened tensions after last week’s bus bombing. However, there were no security incidents at the event.
Chief Rabbis Yitzchak Yosef and David Lau were honored guests, as millions of people around the world viewed remotely via the Kotel website.

Iran Furious as U.S. Appropriates Frozen Assets to Terror Victims

Iran threatened to take legal action in the International Court of Justice (ICJ) against the United States government for a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling that would allow the families of terror victims to collect compensation from frozen Iranian assets.
The U.S. is currently responsible for the preservation of the Iranian funds, most of which were released following the implementation of the Nuclear Deal negotiation in which the U.S. played a crucial role. Iran gained access to $100 billion in February as sanctions were lifted.
“We hold the U.S. administration responsible for preservation of Iranian funds and if they are plundered, we will lodge a complaint with the ICJ for reparation,” Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said, AFP reported. Zarif continued saying that the ruling amounts to a “misappropriation of Iranian assets that runs counter to international law.”

Obama: "We Live in a Peaceful Era"

Addressing world leaders at a trade fair in Hannover, Germany on Monday, US President Barack Obama acknowledged the good fortune of living in what he considers to be the “most peaceful” era in human history. He noted major advances in education, longevity of life, health care, and the spread of democracy as some of the many benefits of living today.  

With pride, Obama added extreme strides in social equality to the list. “Around the world we’re more tolerant, with more opportunity for women and gays and lesbians as we push back on bigotry and prejudice,” he said.

Discouraging any incredulity, he explained that the negative images portrayed in the media showing rampant global violence were misleading.

“I want to begin with an observation that, given the challenges that we face in the world and the headlines we see every day, it may seem improbable but it’s true. We are fortunate to be living in the most peaceful, most prosperous, most progressive era in human history,” he said.

The president clarified his position, noting that it had been several decades since the major world powers had faced each other in war. “[Though] it seems like only bad news comes through every day, it’s been decades since the last war between major powers,” he said.

Ironically, amid reassurances of the current (relatively) peaceful era, Obama added that he plans to call on European leaders, encouraging them to step up their efforts to fight the radical Islamic group known as ISIS. Upon this declaration, the president revealed that the US will be sending an additional 250 Special Forces troops into Syria to join in the fight.

Obama also called for more airstrikes and training, suggesting that North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) countries contribute two percent of their economic output to defense spending.

“Europe and NATO can still do more,” he said. “We need to do everything in our power to stop [ISIS],” adding, “Europe has sometimes been complacent about its own defense.”

While Obama’s statement regarding the length in time since World Wars One and Two is factually true, current data does not support his overall claim about this era being peaceful. In fact, it’s completely the opposite; the security situation in the world has worsened significantly since he took office in 2009.

A recent study by Mida, a liberal Israeli current affairs and opinion online magazine, based their conclusions on the database of the Department of Peace and Conflict Research at Uppsala University in Sweden, which includes a comprehensive list of wars and conflicts worldwide using data collected since 1989. In an article titled, No Global Cop: The Victims of Obama’s Appeasment, Bigman notes that 80 percent more people were killed in wars around the globe under Obama’s isolationist policies than under Bush’s wartime, interventionist presidency. The areas hardest hit by the two terms of Obama’s policies were in the Mideast.

Choosing to put his focus elsewhere, Obama’s latest statements tend to emphasize the threat of global warming as the bigger danger. In a December interview on CBS This Morning, the president stated that climate change leads to terrorism and “dangerous ideologies”. He expressed this most clearly by taking a pass on the massively attended rally in Paris in January 2015 against terror, while calling the Paris summit in November dealing with climate change a “powerful rebuke” to terrorism and ISIS.

Though war is a tragic reality, the Bible does not always forbid it. Under certain conditions, it is the preferable alternative and sometimes even required by God. Maimonides wrote regarding the responsibilities a king in the Messianic era faces at the time closely preceding the war of Gog and Magog, that he must wage a final war against the root of all evil. Were a king or leader of any sort to neglect this obligation and instead capitulate to the forces of evil even in the name of peace, as Obama’s statements indicate, it would only bring more pain and suffering into the world.

Jews Ignore Jordanian Threats Over Ascent of Temple Mount

Hundreds of religious Jews continued their visits to the Temple Mount on Monday in celebration of the festival of Passover, despite explicit threats made by Jordan the same morning over the issue. Five Jews were removed from the site for violating the strict rules enforced, including the Rabbi of the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology), after 13 others were similarly removed on Sunday.
The Jordanian government issued a harsh statement warning Israel of “serious consequences” to what it described as “the invasion of settler groups and Israeli occupying forces in the Al-Aqsa mosque.”
“Israel’s offenses against worshipers on the holy site are a violation of international laws and conventions and could have dangerous consequences,” threatened Jordanian government spokesman Mohammad Al Momani in a statement to Jordanian media

Eighty-three out of 100 U.S. senators have signed a letter asking President Barack Obama to approve a larger defense aid package for Israel.
The letter—led by Sens. Chris Coons (D-Del.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)—stated that “in light of Israel’s dramatically rising defense challenges, we stand ready to support a substantially enhanced new long-term agreement to help provide Israel the resources it requires to defend itself and preserve its qualitative military edge,” Reuters reported.

Hillary Better for Israel, But Trump Better for Netanyahu, Finds Israel Poll

Most Israelis believe that literally any of the current US presidential candidates would be better for Israel than President Barack Obama has been, a new poll reveals, but more Israelis want Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton as president than Republican candidate Donald Trump.
However, while Clinton is thought to be better for the state of Israel, more Israelis think that Trump would have a closer relationship with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The survey, conducted by Israel’s Channel 1 and released on Sunday, found that 51 percent of those polled believed any one of those in the running for the American presidency – including notoriously anti-Israel Bernie Sanders – would be better for Israel than current president Obama, whose has not tried to hide his cool attitude towards the Jewish state.
Another 26 percent felt there would be little change in US policy towards Israel no matter who was elected, and eight percent said the relationship would worsen.
As for the individual candidates, 42 percent of those polled said that Clinton would be better for Israel and 34 percent believed Trump was the best pro-Israel candidate. When it came to working with Israeli leader Netanyahu, 42 percent responded that they thought Trump would get along best with him, and 32 percent chose Clinton

IAF Jets Scramble To Intercept Egyptian Airliner

Two Israeli F-15 fighter jets were scrambled to intercept an Egyptian passenger airplane on Saturday after it entered Israeli airspace and failed to identify itself.
“Earlier this morning, two Israel Air Force (IAF) aircraft accompanied a foreign aircraft planning to land at Ben Gurion airport which did not identify itself when entering Israeli airspace,” an Israeli military spokeswoman said. “The aircraft landed safely at Ben Gurion airport as planned.”
The Air Sinai Boeing 737 took off from Cairo and strayed from its flight plan, and the pilots did not respond to Israeli requests to identify themselves. The  IAF jets escorted the Egyptian airliner to Ben Gurion International Airport where it landed without incident and the passengers disembarked.
After a short investigation, the passengers re-boarded the plane and returned to Cairo.

On Wednesday afternoon, two of the greatest rabbis of the generation met and discussed how very close the Messiah is, and how Christians and Muslims have an important role to play in that process.
Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch,Vice-President of the Rabbinical Court and the Head of the Edah HaChareidis in Jerusalem, paid a rare visit to Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky at his home in Bnei Barak. They are two of the most prominent Torah figures alive today. Conversations between such great men have enormous significance and the Hebrew-language website Kikar Shabbat recorded the dialogue between these two great rabbis.
After warm greetings, the rabbis began to discuss the problems facing the Jews in this generation. Rabbi Kanievsky said that troubles were to be expected. “It is the days before Messiah,” he explained.
Rabbi Sternbuch agreed. “In the End of Days, those who fear God will despair and their hands will loosen from fighting God’s war against the sinners, and there will be no one to rely upon except God,” he said, adding, “We have to bring the Messiah.”
Rabbi Kanievsky answered that the Messiah should be arriving in the very near future. He quoted the Talmud (Megillah 17b) again, saying, “In the year after shmittah the Son of David will come.”

Global Wave of Earthquakes a Prelude to Redemption?

An end of days scenario has suddenly appeared in Japan and Ecuador as seven major earthquakes hit both coasts of the Pacific in 96 hours. Many seismologists are convinced this is only the beginning of a global phenomenon, but rabbis and people of faith recognize this as part of the Messianic process.
Over 500 people were killed on Saturday when a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit Ecuador. 1,700 people are still missing, over 4,000 are injured, and thousands more are wandering homeless.  A 7.3-magnitude quake hit Japan’s southern island last Thursday, while over 600 smaller tremors continued to shake the survivors. The death toll in Japan stands at 47 killed, more than 1,000 injured, 8 missing, and over 100,000 left homeless.
Other less-deadly earthquakes were felt around the world. Many scientists are convinced this recent epidemic earthquakes is just a prelude to increased seismic activity around the globe in unprecedented magnitudes. University of Colorado seismologist Roger Bilham told the Express, “The current conditions might trigger at least four earthquakes greater than 8.0 in magnitude. And if they delay, the strain accumulated during the centuries provokes more catastrophic mega-earthquakes.”

In Latest Show of Submission to Iran, Obama to Buy Iranian-Made Nuclear Material

America is purchasing 32 tons of heavy water from Iran, a critical component in a nuclear weapons program, indicating that a weapons program was implicit in the agreement signed in June.  Ironically, the purchase is part of the agreement signed last June between Iran and P5+1 powers, brokered by US President Barack Obama, that was touted as an effective diplomatic path to prevent an Iranian nuclear weapons program.
The State and Energy departments said the sales agreement was signed last Friday in Vienna by officials from the six countries that negotiated the nuclear deal. The heavy water will initially be stored at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory in Tennessee before being resold. Some of the heavy water could also be sold to private companies that use it for commercial applications, such as the production of semiconductors and fiber optic equipment.
Heavy water is a byproduct of nuclear reactors that create fuel for nuclear weapons and is used to produce weapons grade plutonium. The importance of heavy water to a nuclear weapons program is that it provides one more route to produce plutonium for use in weapons, entirely bypassing uranium enrichment and the related technological infrastructure. In addition, heavy-water-moderated reactors can be used to make tritium, essential to the construction of boosted-fission nuclear weapons.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Russian President Vladimir Putin during a face to face meeting in Moscow on Thursday that Israel would not relinquish the Golan Heights. The meeting marked 25 years of Israeli-Russian relations.
“Israel has clear red lines for self-defense,” Netanyahu told Putin according to a statement released by the Prime Minister’s Office. “We act to the best of our ability to prevent the transfer of advanced weaponry from Iran and Syria to Hezbollah in Lebanon,” he said.
Russian troops and airpower are fighting alongside the Syrian army, Iranian forces, and the Lebanese terrorist group Hezbollah against a host of rebel militias in Syria’s ongoing civil war. Netanyahu recently acknowledged that Israel conducts military airstrikes in Syria as well.
“I came here with one central goal: to strengthen the security coordination between us in order to prevent accidents, misunderstandings, and unnecessary conflict,” Netanyahu told Putin.
“As for the Golan Heights,” Netanyahu continued, “we will not return to the days when they fired on our communities and children from the heights of the Golan. Therefore, with or without a deal, the Golan Heights will remain under Israeli sovereignty.”

Where UNESCO and ISIS Converge

UNESCO commits the very crimes for which it condemns ISIS. Right after UNESCO’s board unanimously passed its resolution on Palmyra, it also passed a resolution whose goal is to erase Jewish history in the land of Israel.

Last month, UNESCO’s director general Irina Bokova issued a statement congratulating Russian- backed Syrian forces for liberating the ancient city of Palmyra from Islamic State (ISIS).
Bokova said Palmyra “carries the memory of the Syrian people, and the values of cultural diversity, tolerance and openness that have made this region a cradle of civilization.”
Bokova added, “The deliberate destruction of heritage is a war crime, and UNESCO will do everything in its power to document the damage so that these crimes do not go unpunished. I wish to remind all parties present of the absolute necessity to preserve this unique heritage as an essential condition for peace and the future of the region.”

Let’s Create a Real Palestinian State

A Palestinian state has never existed during any period in human history. Let’s change that.

The United States has spent billions of dollars trying to create a Palestinian state. It’s time that we finally got our money’s worth. We’ve been putting money in the broken Palestinian slot machine in the metaphorical Palestinian casino (the real one was shot up when terrorists turned it into a base) for decades. It’s time to finally get our Palestinian jackpot. But to make it happen, we need to be realistic.

Forget the peace process. Forget negotiations. They’ve never worked before. They’re not going to now.

And there’s nothing to negotiate anyway.

There are almost a million Jews living on territory claimed by the PLO. Removing them would be the single greatest act of ethnic cleansing against an indigenous population today. It would also be impossible. But the same people who insist that the United States, a country of 318 million, can’t deport 11 million illegal aliens, think that Israel will somehow deport 1/8th of its own population if they just chant loudly enough about “occupation” outside Jewish businesses in London or San Francisco.
Ethnically cleansing 8,000 Jews from Gaza/Gush Katif led to nationwide civil disobedience, riots and, eventually, the fall of a political party and three straight terms for Prime Minister Netanyahu. Now imagine trying to deport 800,000 people from their homes simply because they’re Jewish.

And it wouldn’t just be the Jews alone being rounded up into trucks, buses and maybe boxcars.

52 percent of Arabs in East Jerusalem would rather be Israeli citizens than live under the PLO. Are we supposed to deport 100,000 Arabs from Jerusalem to make way for this imaginary “Palestinian” state?

How much ethnic cleansing do we have to do to make the Islamic colonial fantasy of Palestine real?

It’s not going to happen.

Let’s create a real Palestinian state instead. And I don’t mean the PLO’s President for Life Mahmoud Abbas going down to the UN to give another speech. Abbas is on his 11th year of a 4-year term.  The US spent $4.5 billion promoting “Palestinian democracy” and the last PLO election was ten years ago.

Hamas won. It would win today all over again.

Current polling shows that 2/3 of “Palestinians” want Abbas to resign. Abbas has no political authority to form a Palestinian state, a Palestinian shawarma stand or a Palestinian anything.

If there’s going to be a Palestinian state, it has to be based on the will of the people. That means it will be a Hamas state. A Palestinian state that is not based on the will of its people has no legitimacy. The only legitimate Palestinian state is therefore a Hamas terror state.

And that’s the only kind of state you can have when 2/3 of “Palestinians” support stabbing Israeli civilians, 89% want to live under an Islamic State run by Sharia law, 84% want to stone adulterers to death and 66% support killing any Muslim who leaves Islam.

Only an Islamic terror state can truly represent the homicidal aspirations of the Palestinian people.

Is this some sort of sick joke? Yes it is. But it’s not my sick joke. It’s the sick joke that is Palestine. Now let’s begin the process of turning this sick twisted joke into its own state.

The first thing to do is dismantle the UNRWA, a UN agency specifically dedicated to catering to “Palestinians”. The UNRWA is one of the key elements of the Palestinian welfare state. And the US kicks in around $300 million to the organization which fulfills many of the functions of a state. But a state doesn’t need its own refugee agency. And a Hamas terror state doesn’t need a further $350 million dollars in US foreign aid to promote “democracy” and improve its infrastructure and institutions.

This is going to be a problem because the imaginary Palestinian state also has a fantasy economy. The largest employer in the Palestinian Authority is the Palestinian Authority. Most of its money comes from America, Europe, Israel and, for some inconceivable reason, Japan.

The terror state gets its electricity from Israel. It gets its water and internet through Israel.

So let’s get a clear look at what a real Palestinian state would look like. It would be Gaza writ large. But without the UNRWA and the rest of the NGOs lining up to provide jobs and social services. It would be an “open air prison”, as anti-Israel activists screech of Gaza, but a prison created and maintained by the inmates. It would be constantly at war with Israel and the rest of the world. The way it is now.

The economy will be a thinly disguised feudal system of Islamists with engineering degrees in mansions paying starvation wages to laborers to harvest olives to be shipped to China. There will be shopping malls for some and little shacks on the edges full of smugglers, drug labs and brothels for everyone else.

That’s the Islamist dream.

Palestine’s political system will consist of Hamas and more Hamas. Or maybe once the Hamas alliance with ISIS in the Sinai lapses, there will finally be a democratic election between Hamas and ISIS to decide just how horrible of a place the misshapen slices of Gaza and the West Bank under terrorist occupation will become. Nothing will function except the religious police and the gallows in the dusty squares.

There will be wars every two years. That will be just long enough to rebuild the hospitals, mosques and schools that were being used as launch sites in the last wars. In between the big wars, the terrorist groups, Hamas factions, ISIS, Islamic Jihad and anybody else, will fight each other in the streets.

It will be glorious.

Imagine the last few decades of terror, bombings, missile strikes, firefights, corruption, thievery and utter dysfunction made into a permanent state of affairs. That’s Palestine. That’s the two-state solution. Just don’t ask what it solves except the Middle East’s severe shortage of terrorist states and terrorists.

If you will it, it is no dream. This nightmare already exists and it can be a real country. It already has an anthem, a flag, no elections and no reason to exist except killing everyone else. It’s a foreign aid funded ISIS with more olive harvests and a more robust campus presence.

Everyone talks about creating a Palestinian state, but no one actually wants to do it.

It’s time for Palestine to stop being a pipe dream full of pipe bombs that we spend billions of dollars on. Just pull out a seat at the UN, hold democratic elections and then step away from the explosions.

A real two-state solution is just that simple. And it can happen tomorrow.

Let’s stop fantasizing about peace. Peace and Palestine go together like oil and water. This is what a real Palestinian state would look like. And the moment it comes into being, any possibility of peace dies.

3,200-Year-Old Egyptian Amulet Discovered in Temple Mount “Trash”

Fours years ago, eight year old Neshama Spielman discovered a rare Egyptian amulet, estimated to be more than 3,200 years old. Only in the last week have archaeologists at last deciphered the intricate inscriptions on the historical artifact.
Written in ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics is the name Thutmose III, an Eighteenth Dynasty Pharaoh who ruled over Egypt from 1479-1425 BCE and is considered to be one of the most influential pharaohs in Egypt’s New Kingdom. Nicknamed by historians the “Napoleon of Egypt” due to his active pursuit to conquer cities and expand Egyptian land, Thutmose III is credited with having transformed Egypt into an international superpower.

The small amulet was found among the rubble at the Temple Mount Sifting Project, an organization whose sole purpose is to sift through the debris that was illegally removed from the Temple Mount by the Islamic Waqf in 1999. Horrified by the lack of regard for the countless archaeological artifacts from all periods in Jerusalem’s past, archaeologists Dr. Gabriel Barkay and Zachi Dvira established the Sifting Project in 2004 as a way to salvage history.
Since the project’s inception, well over 170,000 people from all over the world have taken part in the sifting, “representing an unprecedented phenomenon in the realm of archaeological research,” according to the City of David, the archaeological site of ancient Jerusalem in the pre-Babylonian exile era located today in the Old City of Jerusalem.

Perhaps motivated by the US primaries and upcoming elections, Iran has taken to the pages of the Washington Post to defend its position to Americans, with Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif explaining to readers why the Islamic Republic stands by its ongoing missile testing, despite being accused of violating international agreements.
Last month, Iran conducted ballistic missile tests, which it says do not violate a UN ban linked to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) reached last July with the P5+1 world powers. The agreement ended sanctions against Iran in exchange for a significant reduction in the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program, and went into force in January.

Celebrating Terrorism, Palestinian Style

The Palestinian jubilation over the terror attack, the first of its kind since the suicide bombings during the Second Intifada more than a decade ago, is yet another reminder of the growing radicalization among Palestinians.
The major obstacle to peace with Israel remains the absence of education for peace with Israel. In fact, it is safe to say that there never was a real attempt on the part of Palestinian leaders and factions to prepare their people for peace with Israel. On the contrary, the message they send to their people remains extremely anti-Israel.
This casts doubt on the Palestinian leadership’s and people’s willingness to move toward peace and coexistence with Israel.
Shortly after the Jerusalem bus terror explosion attack on April 18, a number of Palestinian factions rushed to issue statements applauding the “heroic operation” and urging Palestinians to pursue the path of armed struggle against Israel.

Israel’s Iron Dome Comes to America

For the first time, Israel’s advanced missile defense system, Iron Dome, has intercepted an aerial target on American soil, successfully destroying an unmanned drone in a US test of the groundbreaking technology.
The US military conducted the test with Israeli and American defense contractors, firing Tamir missiles – the projectiles used in the famous Iron Dome battery – from its Multi Mission Launcher to bring down the drone in American airspace.
Unsurprisingly, the nearly undefeatable Iron Dome system struck and destroyed the target, reported Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, the Israeli state-owned defense development company which created the Iron Dome. Raytheon, a major American defense contractor, also participated in the test.
The US army is considering purchasing the system, which as of yet has not been sold to any foreign militaries, though many have expressed interest. The test was part of a wider effort to seek out and select potential air defense systems to be used by the US military. Conducted in New Mexico, the tests also included trials of missiles produced by Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.
The Iron Dome, which was jointly funded and developed by Israel and the US, has downed over 1500 rockets fired into Israeli territory, proving itself to be one of the most valuable and successful tools against enemy missiles. It boasts an 85-90 percent success rate in stopping rockets aimed at population centers.
While the system was designed to take out missiles, it can also successfully shoot down drones, which are becoming an increasingly dangerous presence on the battlefield. Hamas has been known to send spy drones into Israel and Egypt.

Biblical Plagues Miraculously Reappear as Passover Approaches

On Friday night, millions of Jews all over the world will recite the ten plagues which God brought down upon the Egyptians thousands of years ago. What you may not know is that these plagues not only happened then – they’re happening now. Read on to discover how the ten Biblical plagues are returning today before our eyes.
Water into Blood (דָם): Exodus 7:14–24
The first plague, initiated by Aaron, turned the Nile into blood, transforming life-giving water into a symbol of death. So deeply is that image embedded in our collective unconscious that when a recent satellite photo used an effect that showed the Nile River as crimson, the internet went wild.

In a separate episode in August, Environmental Protection Agency personnel unintentionally released three million gallons of toxic wastewater into Cement Creek in a Colorado nature reserve, turning it bright orange.

Frogs (צְּפַרְדֵּעַ): Exodus 7:25–8:15

Residents of Southern California will be reading their Passover Haggada to the off-key accompaniment of the mating call of tiny frogs that have recently invaded the West Coast. The coqui, native to Puerto Rico found its way to Hawaii and later to California. The tiny tree dweller has a disproportionately loud screech that is so loud that people have called the police mistaking the croak for a house alarm. A male frog will screech all night to drive away competing males while he courts his lady-love, annoying residents and even driving property values down. A young frog is smaller than a fingernail so it is disturbingly easy for them to be unintentionally transplanted, making this plague a serious candidate to crop up in the most unexpected of places.

Lice (כִּנִּים): Exodus 8:16–19

This year saw an outbreak of a new mutated strain of “super-lice” that is immune to the traditional pyrethroid treatments. The epidemic had doctors in 25 states scratching their heads to find a solution. Social habits of technology addicted youth aided the lice, as the eggs can be transferred via headphones and head contact during the other teen plague: selfies.

Wild Animals (עָרוֹב): Exodus 8:20–21

India is seeing a resurgence of the plague of wild beasts. Just last week,  fields were ravaged and 17 people were injured in Kendrapara as wild boar attacked the village. In the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, six people were killed by tigers and 20 by wild elephants in the last three years. Even stranger is a mysterious, unidentified animal that has attempted three times this month to drag children from their beds in the Sehore District of India.

Closer to home, in a reminder that nature is never fully under the control of human keepers, the head tiger trainer at the Palm Beach Zoo was killed by one of her charges last Friday.

Diseased Livestock (דֶּבֶר): Exodus 9:1–7

Despite advances in veterinary science and massive investments, man does not control disease in livestock. Mad Cow Disease first struck 19 years ago and USAID has invested $320 million over the last decade on controlling animal diseases. Despite these efforts, the disease continues to baffle scientists and has recently cropped up in a new form called Chronic Wasting Disease (CWD). Affecting deer and reindeer, it is highly contagious and always fatal. It is found across Europe and much of North America.

Boils (שְׁחִין): Exodus 9:8–12

In 2010, scientists traced the bubonic plague to ancient Egypt. Ancient cultures lived close to their livestock, and the plague was transferred from the animals by fleas. Egyptologists found 3,000 year-old remains of Nile rats, and used fine sieves to discover the remains of fleas in ruins, the two components for  the plague. Egypt is now believed to be the origin of the disease, suggesting that the Biblical plague of “boils”- a common manifestation of plague – and the bubonic plague are, in fact, one and the same. The symptoms are even described in a medical text from 1500 BC known as the Ebers Papyrus.

Plague has not vanished, though today its source is man-made rather than natural. Last year, the Department of Defense announced that it was investigating mishandling of laboratory samples of anthrax and bubonic plague while shipping them overseas.

Thunderstorm of Hail and Fire (בָּרָד): Exodus 9:13–35

An unusually heavy hail fell in Dallas, Texas last month, with golfball-sized hailstones pummeling the area. Thousands of cars were severely damaged, in a reminder of how Pharaoh’s chariots must have suffered from this plague.

In the Bible, this plague manifested as a miraculously unnatural mix of fire and ice. This phenomenon recently reappeared in a video posted on Sod1820, a religious Hebrew-language website. The video shows a startling mix of fire and water as large flames shoot out from the source of a flowing spring in the desert on the border between Iran and Afghanistan. Though a natural cause is surely to blame, the Biblical connotations are unmistakeable.

Last year, locusts devoured 10 percent of the harvest from Russia’s southern farmland, bringing about a state of emergency. Three years ago, southern Israel was hard-hit as a precursor to Passover. Last month, West Australia experienced an unusually large plague of locusts.

For Jews, this plague can be a mixed blessing, as locusts are technically kosher. An Israeli start-up, Steak Tzar Tzar, is working towards solving global hunger with insect protein. Their award-winning bugs have been featured in gourmet feasts that are kosher enough to be served at any Passover meal.

America is much more vulnerable to an attack of darkness that you might think. In April 2013, after a power station in California was targeted, a Federal Energy Regulatory Commission analysis of the event found that if a surprisingly small number of US substations were knocked out at once, it could destabilize the entire grid enough to cause a blackout affecting most of the US.

But this plague may not come from the hands of man. Rabbi Yitzchak Cohen predicted that when the planet Nibiru enters our solar system, there will be a two week period of time in which we won’t even be able to see the sun.

Unlike the first nine plagues, there are no indications the tenth plague is making a comeback – but there is evidence that the Egypt’s first-born were truly victims of divine wrath.

Egyptologist Peter Rohl found hints of the dreaded tenth plague in the Ipuwer Papyrus, now held in the Dutch National Museum of Antiquities. The papyrus, a copy of an earlier work from around 1800 BCE, describes a catastrophe in terrifying phrases that are strongly reminiscent of the Biblical killing of the first-born, referring to “the children of princes” being “dashed against the walls” and “cast out in the streets”.

On Monday evening, a bomb went off in a crowded bus in Jerusalem, showering passengers trapped inside with deadly shrapnel and setting it ablaze. In what can only be described as a miracle, no one was killed.

It is thought that a terrorist in the back of the bus set the bomb off. When firemen and rescue personnel arrived, the bus and another nearby empty bus were engulfed in flames, a pillar of smoke visible from far off. Over 20 people were injured, seven moderately, two seriously. Five of the injured suffered from sever shell-shock, traumatized by the horror that surrounded them.

Before It’s News wrote that it was “a miracle there are no dead”. Many in the Hebrew language media echoed the sentiment. Eliyahu Eliovitch, one of the first volunteer medics to arrive at the scene, told the news site Kikar Shabbat, “Thank God, the people of ZAKA (who deal with dead bodies) arrived and had nothing to do. It is with God’s mercy that no one was killed.”

Expressing what several other first responders said in the media, he added, “It is only by a miracle that no one was killed in such a difficult attack. This could have ended in a much worse catastrophe, God forbid.”

Israel is all too familiar with the deadly effects of bus bombings. From 1993 until 2008, Israel was struck by no less than 150 bomb attacks that targeted civilians. Over 800 people were killed in these attacks. Almost 30 of those bombs exploded on buses. Of those, a mere two were without fatalities.

The likelihood that a bomb exploding in a bus crowded with commuters and school children would claim no lives was low indeed. According to the statistics alone, the passengers of bus number 12 in Jerusalem were incredibly lucky.

Police initially refrained from labeling it a terror incident, at first blaming a mechanical failure in the bus. However, after several hours of confused reports, Jerusalem police chief Yoram Halevy officially confirmed what seemed obvious to many.

“When a bomb explodes on a bus, it is a terror attack,” Halevy said. He added that it was still unclear if the terrorist was on the scene at the time of the explosion. It is suspected that a critically injured person was the terrorist, though his identity is still unconfirmed.

Halevy also said the police were not caught totally off-guard, implying previous intelligence information, but he refused to elaborate.

This was the first bombing in eight years and the first bus bombing in almost twelve. It may be a sign the Palestinians intend to escalate their efforts to attack Israelis just as the country is breathing a sigh of relief after what seemed to be an easing off of terror.

Hamas did not claim responsibility for the attack but praised it anyway. Mosques in Gaza proudly announced the news over their prayer loudspeakers. A spokesman for Hamas in Qatar, Husam Badran, said, “This attack affirms to everyone one that our people will not abandon the resistance path.”

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to retaliate for the vicious attack. “We will locate those who prepared this explosive device. We will reach the dispatchers. We will also reach those behind them. We will settle the score with these terrorists.”

Rabbi Aryeh Shtern, the Chief Rabbi of Jerusalem, spoke to Kikar Shabbat about the pre-Pesach attack.

“It pains the heart to hear that even in the days before the holiday, when everyone is busy preparing for the Festival of Freedom, our enemies are seeking specifically at this time to attack the joy of our celebration. But we will not be broken or despair, because this is exactly what we say on the Seder night, ‘That in each generation, they stand against us to destroy us, and God saves us from them’.”

ISIS OR ISLAM: Which Breeds Terrorism?

One of the greatest lies of our age—that violence committed in the name of Islam has nothing to do with Islam—has made an intrinsically weak Islam the scourge of the modern world, with no signs of relief on the horizon.

A lie conceals the truth.  And ugly but hidden truths never have a chance of being acknowledged, addressed, and ultimately ameliorated.

Because of this simple truism, one of the greatest lies of our age—that violence committed in the name of Islam has nothing to do with Islam—has made an intrinsically weak Islam the scourge of the modern world, with no signs of relief on the horizon.

One of the latest manifestations of this lie took place in Pakistan.  On Easter Sunday, March 27, a suicide bombing took place near the children rides of a public park, where Christians were congregated and celebrating the resurrection of their Lord.  At least 74 people—mostly Christian women and children—were killed and nearly 400 injured.  “There was human flesh on the walls of our house,” recalled a witness.

Who—or what—was responsible for this assault?  “We claim responsibility for the attack on Christians as they were celebrating Easter,” said Jamaatul Ahraar, a splinter group of the Taliban.  In a media statement, the group said it had “deliberately targeted the Christian community,” adding that “we had been waiting for this occasion.”

The Taliban and its affiliates are not alone.  Click here, here, here, here, and here, for numerous examples of similarly lethal attacks on Christians celebrating Christmas or Easter by other Islamic groups and individuals around the world who also “had been waiting for this occasion.”  Even “the terror cell that struck in Brussels [last month, killing 34] was planning to massacre worshippers at Easter church services across Europe, including Britain, intelligence chiefs believe.”

Still, connecting the dots and understanding what binds all Islamic terrorist groups is a big no-no for the so-called mainstream media.  The problem, we will be told, is the “Taliban,” which “has nothing to do with Islam.”  Rather, it’s a finite, temporal, localized problem: defeat it, and the problem vanishes.

Meanwhile, about 5,000 miles west of Taliban territory, in Nigeria, Christians are also under attack.  Indeed, according to a new report, since 2000, some 12,000 Christians have been slaughtered for their faith and 13,000 churches destroyed.  Just last month, over 500 Christians were butchered.

According to the official narrative, something called “Boko Haram” is responsible.  This is another group that defines itself exclusively according to Islam; another group that habitually bombs churches during Christmas and Easter; and another group that, we are told, “has nothing to do with Islam,” but rather is a finite, temporal, localized problem: defeat it, and the problem vanishes.

About 5,000 miles west of Nigeria, in the U.S., Americans were told that something called “al-Qaeda” attacked and killed 3,000 of their countrymen on 9/11; defeating that finite group would cease the terror.  Its leader, Osama bin Laden, was killed, and victory loudly proclaimed—except that an even more savage manifestation, this time called the “Islamic State” (it too “has nothing to do with Islam”) came on the scene and has gone further than al-Qaeda could’ve ever dreamed, in great part thanks to the Obama administration.

It gets worse.  The problem is not only that the media and decision-makers refuse to connect the dots and insist on treating each of the aforementioned groups as disparate, finite groups with different motivations—none of which has to do with Islam.  The problem is that regular Muslims who are not called “Taliban,” “Boko Haram,” “al-Qaeda,” “ISIS,” ad infinitum commit similar acts, and much more frequently, though this is rarely ever mentioned by the MSM.

Thus, although the “Taliban” was behind the recent Easter Day massacre, it is everyday Muslims who discriminate against, persecute, enslave, rape and sometimes murder Christians every day in Pakistan (click here for a typical month); it was everyday Muslims who burned a young Christian couple alive due to unsubstantiated rumors that they had insulted Muhammad.

Those who slaughtered 500 Christians last month in Nigeria were not “Boko Haram” but rather un-affiliated (but Muslim) herdsmen.  Likewise, “Northern Muslim political and religious elite are also major actors of targeted violence towards the Christian minority.”

Although ISIS claimed the Brussels attack, it is everyday Muslims who ban, burn, bomb, and urinate on Christian churches, and who, as in Pakistan and other Muslim majority nations, target non-Muslim European women for rape on the basis that they are subhuman “infidels.”

This is the real issue.  While the media may name the terrorist groups responsible for especially spectacular attacks—followed by the customary admonitions that they “have nothing to do with Islam”—few dare acknowledge that Muslims in general engage in similar acts of violence and intolerance against non-Muslims.  According to a recent study, Muslims —of all races, nationalities, languages, and socio-political and economic circumstances, hardly just “terror groups”—are responsible for persecuting Christians in 41 of the 50 worst nations to be Christian in.

These statistics are consistent with a recent Pew poll finding that, in 11 countries alone, at least 63 million and as many as 287 million Muslims support ISIS.  Similarly, 81% of respondents to a recent Al Jazeera poll supported the Islamic State.

In sum, what “extremist” “terrorist” and “militant” groups (that “have nothing to do with Islam”) are doing is but the tip of the iceberg of what Muslims are doing all around the world.  (See “Muslim Persecution of Christians,” reports which I’ve been compiling every month since July 2011 and witness the nonstop discrimination, persecution, and carnage committed by “everyday” Muslims against Christians.  Each monthly report contains dozens of atrocities, any of which if committed by Christians against Muslims would receive 24/7 blanket coverage.)

Media aren’t just covering up for Islam by pretending that the spectacular attacks committed by Islamic groups on non-Muslims “have nothing to do with Islam.” They are covering up for Islam by failing to report the everyday persecution non-Muslims experience at the hands of everyday Muslims—Muslim individuals, Muslim mobs, Muslim police, and Muslim governments (including America’s closest “friends and allies”)—not just Muslim “terrorists.”

Because of these entrenched lies, the world must continue to suffer from Islamic terror.  Not only have these lies allowed countless innocents to be persecuted into oblivion in the Muslim world, but they have allowed the same persecution to enter America and Europe, most recently via mass immigration.

The fact remains: an ugly truth must first be acknowledged before it can be remedied.   It may be hard to acknowledge an ugly truth—that Islam, not “radical Islam,” promotes hate for and violence against non-Muslims—but anything less will just continue to feed the lie, that is, continue to feed the jihad and terror.

When the Bnei Israel first came to Israel from India in 1952, little was known about their history, and their connection to the Jewish people was rejected by the Chief Rabbi of Israel. However, a new genetic study has justified their claims, opening up new possibilities that one of the Lost Tribes of Israel has been found.

The history of the Bnei Israel is shrouded in mystery. There are among the diverse population of India, several distinct groups of Jews. The Cochin Jews have a history that is separate from the Bne Israel, as do the Bnei Menashe, who arrived at a different region in India via China.

Theories about the origins of the Bnei Israel vary greatly. One theory holds they left northern Israel 2,000 years ago, another that they came from Southern Arabia or Persia, 500 years earlier, and yet another that they arrived from Yemen in the 8th century BCE. There is no independent support or substantiating evidence for any of these claims.

Yet another scene from the Book of Exodus has come to life as the seventh plague, described by the Bible as fire and hail mixed together, has miraculously appeared in a desert in Afghanistan.

A video posted on Sod1820, a religious Hebrew-language website, shows a group of people gathered in amazement around the source of a flowing spring in the desert on the border between Iran and Afghanistan. The reason for their shock is immediately apparent: large flames shoot out from the hole in the sand from which water flows.

The incredible sight follows close on the heels of another recent Biblical vision which awed the world: a satellite photo which showed the Nile River flowing bright red in an image directly reminiscent of God’s first plague against the Egyptians.
The latest inexplicable event is amazingly similar to the Biblical account of the seventh plague (Exodus 9:18-35), which describes a perfectly natural phenomenon, hail, that takes on a miraculous dimension when appearing along with its diametrical opposite – fire.

Persecution of Christians in the Middle East at the hands of the Islamic State (ISIS) has become so serious a problem that it has been recognized as genocide. Some Christians in the region are unwilling to go like lambs to the slaughter, however, and have begun forming militias to fight back.
One such group is the Babylon Brigade, some 500 to 1,000 Christian fighters who mobilized after ISIS took control of their hometown in Mosul, Iraq in 2014. Christians were forced to leave, convert or pay bribes, and many were expelled from their homes. Women were raped and sold into slavery or killed.

Interestingly, Donald J. Trump has a cordial relationship with the Moscow establishment headed by Vladimir Putin, but despises the Republican establishment in the US.
We read over and over again how Donald J. Trump is running a campaign against “the establishment” in the Republican Party. The term sounds horrible and dangerous. But when you seriously think about it, the Republican Party “establishment” has one purpose—to maintain the party as a viable opposition vehicle to the plans of the Democratic Party. This is what a two-party political system should be about. Without two major political parties, America’s democratic form of government collapses and the United States becomes a socialist one-party state. The Trump candidacy threatens to destroy the two-party system.
Trump and his allies have made the term “establishment” into a dirty word. But Trump, an outsider with a history of supporting the other party, is trying to stage a hostile takeover of the GOP. The apparent plan is to make the Republican Party into a carbon copy of the European far-right “populist” parties that serve Russian interests. Having hit some sour notes with the Jewish community over the course of his campaign, it is unsurprising that Democratic presidential hopeful Bernie Sanders has hired a director of Jewish outreach. His choice, however, may be questionable: Simone Zimmerman is known for her anti-Israel stance, reports the Times of Israel.
The appointment was first publicized by JTA, in a story on the growing concern among Jewish supporters for Sanders’s lukewarm attitude towards Israel. Already, some right-wing opponents of the self-proclaimed Democratic socialist have come down on Zimmerman’s appointment.
“Currently Zimmerman’s Twitter account also praises Linda Sarsour, who called Muslims throwing stones at Jews ‘courageous’,” Daniel Greenfield wrote in FrontPageMag, a right-wing webs
“Yes, this is what the Bernie Sanders version of Jewish outreach looks like,” he continued. “Stone throwing and BDS papered over with random Yiddish and Jewish words to make anti-Semitism and hatred of Jew seem socially acceptable.”
While the anti-Semite label may be a little harsh for Zimmerman, who identifies strongly with the Conservative Jewish community and was once an Israel supporter, she certainly is no friend of the Jewish State today.

Ivanka Trump opened up on the subject of her conversion to Judaism during a CNN family interview on Tuesday, saying that GOP presidential frontrunner Donald Trump had been “very supportive” of her decision to convert.
In response to a question from the audience asking about Trump’s reaction to her conversion, Ivanka said, “My father was very supportive. He knows me. He knows and he trusts my judgment. When I make decisions, I make them in a well-reasoned way. I don’t rush into things.”
“I appreciate the support he gave me because, obviously, these decisions are not taken lightly, and it would have been much more hard if I had had headwinds,” she added. “He believes in me.”
She said that the strong relationship between Trump and her Jewish husband, real estate executive Jared Kushner, helped ease the process. “[My father] loves my husband; they’re incredibly close, which was obviously helpful, and he has been very supportive with me in that decision as in many others I have taken throughout the years.”
