The convoluted case of the murder in Washington, D.C., of Democratic operative Seth Rich has taken another turn, with a lobbyist who has been investigating the case claiming a “credible” witness has been found.

Jack Burkman, a Washington-based lawyer and lobbyist, told the Gateway Pundit blog: “We believe that we have reached the beginning of the end of the Seth Rich murder investigation. After two long hard years of work, we have a witness who is prepared to identify the two killers of Seth Rich.”

Burkman told the blog in an exclusive interview on Sunday that one of the culprits identified by the witness is an agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration and the other is an agent for the ATF, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Burkman said the witness has conclusive evidence that will bring the killers to justice.

As WND has reported, Rich, 27, the DNC’s voter expansion data director, had accepted a position with Democratic Party nominee Hillary Clinton’s campaign just before his death.

On July 10, 2016, he was fatally shot in the back in Washington, D.C., near his apartment in an affluent neighborhood. Rich had been working for the DNC at a time when emails from the organization were provided to WikiLeaks for publication.

The Metropolitan Police Department and Washington Mayor Muriel Bowers insist Rich was randomly killed during a “botched robbery.” But others are doubtful because he was found with his wallet, credit cards and other valuables.

The new Gateway Pundit report said the witness fears for his life, and plans to have armed guards and a disguise to protect him.

Burkman told the blog Frank Whalen, a retired NYPD detective sergeant, found the witness.

“We found him through working with a retired New York City detective, who found him and brought him to us. We have thoroughly vetted this witness and we believe in this witness,” Burkman said. “He has evidence that substantiates his claims but it will be revealed slowly. This witness is in great fear of his life – that’s why we are going with disguising him, disguising his voice and everything about him.”

WND has reported on the case since its outset, reporting just weeks ago the Department of Justice was refusing to release any records related to the murder, according to a lawyer who has been investigating the unsolved case.

The lawyer, Ty Clevenger, reported on LawFlog he received the news from the Executive Office for U.S. Attorneys.

“Actually, they have refused to release any records about Seth Rich at all, e.g., whether he had a security clearance or a background check.”

But he pointed out the “same office originally refused to even search for records related to Seth Rich, but it was overruled on October 2, 2017, after I appealed to DOJ’s Office of Information Policy.’

WND reported last fall when Clevenger started his hunt for the Rich records.

After his FOIA request for records or correspondence about the murder or its investigation was rejected, the DOJ at that time told the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Washington, D.C., to hunt for records.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office originally put off Clevenger’s FOIA request, demanding he submit a death certificate to prove that Rich was dead.

“Since you have not furnished a release, death certificate, or public justification for release, the release of records concerning a third party would result in an unwarranted invasion of personal privacy and would be in violation of the Privacy Act, 5 U.S.C.§ 552a,” the office said.

But Clevenger appealed. And Sean R. O’Neil, the chief of administrative appeals at DOJ’s Office of Information Policy, directed the executive office for U.S. attorneys to search for and produce any records covered in Clevenger’s FOIA request.

WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange has hinted that Rich, and not Russian agents, may have been the source of the Democratic National Committee emails he published online.

The case has caused considerable distress for Democrats. WND reported last year when former DNC Chairwoman Donna Brazile appeared incoherent and agitated when WND approached her at a book signing to ask her questions about murdered DNC staffer Seth Rich.

Brazile said in her new book, which is dedicated to Rich, that she was deeply concerned about Rich’s mysterious murder and had discussed it in a phone call with Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton after Clinton’s election loss.

She wrote that she asked Clinton to contribute to a reward fund to help find the slain DNC staffer’s murderer, but Clinton ended the phone call.

The following is an excerpt from Brazile’s book “Hacks: The Inside Story of the Break-ins and Breakdowns That Put Donald Trump in the White House”:

I knew the campaign had over $3 million set aside in a legal fund. Could she help me get this lawsuit started? And don’t forget the murder of Seth Rich, I told her. Did she want to contribute to Seth’s reward fund? We still hadn’t found the person responsible for the tragic murder of this bright young DNC staffer.

You’re right, she said. We’re going to get to that. But she really had to go. She had made the call and checked it off her list, and I accepted after we said our good-byes that I might never hear from her again.

WND attended Brazile’s Dec. 12 book signing at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., and asked her why she believes Clinton seemed unconcerned about Rich’s murder and unwilling to allocate campaign money as a reward to find Rich’s killers.

But Brazile contradicted statements in her book, flat-out denying she even made them.

“You say in your book that you urged Hillary Clinton to use campaign funds as reward to find Rich’s murderer(s). And Clinton briefly responded by saying she really had to go,” WND stated, before Brazile interjected.

“I – I never read – I never wrote that. No,” she said.

“We discussed – on Dec. 1 we offered – Jim Roosevelt [co-chair of the DNC rules and bylaws committee] proposed that the DNC raise money to help with the reward fund, and we urged members to provide resources. But at no time did I tell Hillary – in the book, I said, ‘Don’t forget Seth Rich.’ That’s what I said in the book,” she claimed.

WND also pressed Brazile on why the DNC has offered no reward money to help find Rich’s killers.

The former DNC chairwoman and CNN contributor then became visibly angry and accused WND of trying to “smear” Rich and his family for mere “sensationalism.”

“Once again, I would like to go on the record as saying that the attempt to smear Seth Rich has caused enormous harm to his family,” she charged. “Joel and Mary (Rich’s parents) deserve better than that kind of salacious, sensational type of journalism.”

At some points, she appeared lost for words and made bizarre and rambling statements:
 
There’s no evidence whatsoever that Seth Rich computer, or any of his personal electronic gadgets was penetrated or infiltrated by any of those malware spyware. We had every computer, every cell phone, everything at the DNC reviewed on multiple occasions because of the nature of the attack.

In the entirety of the book, I mention, I dedicate the book to Seth Rich because Seth Rich belonged to, ah well, let me just say this. Seth Rich was a member of the voting rights department. I was the vice chair for civic engagement and voter participation. And when I wrote in the first instance about Seth Rich, when I heard about his death, I talked about July 10th, when I got the news that Seth was murdered. Some of you might remember during that period of time, it was following the shooting at Baton Rouge. And the shooting, the incident in Dallas. And when I first received this information that Seth was killed, the first thought in my head was, ‘Oh my god, Seth was in the wrong neighborhood at the wrong time.’

We live in Washington, D.C., and it bothered me. It bothered me that Seth was murdered, of course, because he was, you know, he belonged to the DNC. He was my kid, and I loved him. But it also bothered me that, uh, when I heard about what happened. I just thought that this might have been a racial incident. This was a period of heightened racial tension, not just in D.C. but across the country. Black Lives Matter and the police department, all of the protests across the country. That’s number one. So the context of me saying that was the context of what was happening on July 10, 2016, and what happened to Seth.

The context of who could have murdered Seth Rich, I don’t know. But what I do know is that his murderer is still some – or the people that murdered him – they have not been brought to justice. There’s a big reward for Seth, to capture and to bring – to find information – to bring it to justice. I know that Mayor [Muriel] Bowser and others are still concerned about what happened to Seth Rich, and I hope that we can finally bring to justice what happened.

Now, I know some people don’t understand anything about cyber security and hacking and harassment. Has anybody here as a part of OPM been harassed by the Chinese? Through the stealing of personnel files through the Office of Personnel Management? And do you recall at that time you receive a notice from OPM saying that you will have your information protected? And every year, I know every month, every month, I get a protect my ID status, OK.

Well, when this happened to us at the DNC, the first thing, because I had my information hacked through that illegal cyber-attack through OPM. That experience is one where, you know, you try to go and get a car, you try to go out and take out a loan, you know what that hacking caused you and the discomfort and I hope you continue to protect your individual identity and status. But when the Russian attack happened, this was one that no one provided us with any kind of protection. And so it was the responsibility of the Democratic National Committee – heh, who was broke – to provide protection. Similar to what OPM was providing me with the Chinese hacking, I had to provide that to the DNC, to the staff, to the donors and to others who had their personal information. And this just wasn’t just a normal threat, “Hey Geoff, you’re an X, hey Donna you’re a Y.” This was, this went beyond the name-calling. This went to our physical infrastructure. This went to our personhood. And I didn’t like it one bit; that’s why I changed our entire physical landscape at the DNC.

We put cameras everywhere. We began to protect ourselves because of the intrusion. Because of the way in which it came after our lives individually and personally and institutionally. They wanted to send a message. And for whatever reason why [Russian President Vladimir] Putin decided that he wanted to destroy the – I kept saying to myself – I used to scream out at night, “The Clinton campaign is – they, they got money – just leave us alone!” But this harassment continued and continued, up until Oct. 21.

And so no, I don’t allude in my book. I don’t practice the conspiracy theories that people have used to scar Seth’s memory, to hurt his family. I have been to Omaha. I have been to his synagogue. I have cried because of him. I love that boy. He was my child. I have dedicated a bike rack. I have gone out to raise money to help his family. Seth Rich, Seth Rich was a patriot. He was a great American, and he does not deserve to be, in anyway, he does not deserve the kind of outrageous conspiracy theories. And, yes, I told that to Sean Hannity. I’ll tell it to anyone else.

Seth was a patriot. He was a good patriot. He was a good person. He worked very hard. His colleagues at the DNC miss him. His family, Joel and Mary, they miss him. They are going through yet another Hanukkah without their son tonight. And I loved him, and he was my child. And I will always say good things about him. I get emotional about Seth. I love Seth. I love all my kids at the DNC.

Christian group gets tossed after being labeled 'hate group

The left-leaning billionaire CEO of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, is being accused of trying to harm a Christian organization by dropping it from the web giant’s AmazonSmile program, which allows customers to donate a tiny fraction of their purchase to a charity.

The Religious Freedom Coalition confirmed to WND it has been thrown out of the program because the far-left Southern Poverty Law Center labeled it a “hate group.”

And Amazon? Its officials don’t want to talk about their reliance on a group that has been linked to domestic terror through Floyd Corkins’ violent gun attack on the Family Research Council in Washington.

When RFC questioned Amazon about the decision, a lawyer, Ambika Kumar Doran, said there would be no explanation coming.

“Amazon relies on the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control and the Southern Poverty Law Center to determine which registered charities fall into these groups,” the lawyer wrote.

Doran explained the company excludes “organizations that engage in, support, encourage, or promote intolerance, hate, terrorism, violence, money laundering, or other illegal activities.”

“As you are likely aware, the SPLC has listed RFC on its ‘Hate Map.’ … Accordingly, RFC is not eligible to receive charitable donations from the AmazonSmile Foundation. Should you have any questions regarding the SPLC’s inclusion of RFC on its Hate Map, we encourage you to contact SPLC,” the letter said.

RFC, contrary to Amazon’s characterizations, is a nonprofit that “advocates in Washington, D.C., for the defense and preservation of America’s Christian heritage.”

It supports freedom of religious expression; freedom for pastors, priests and rabbis to preach and teach; the defense of innocent human life from conception to natural death; and traditional marriage.

The progressive agenda adopted by SPLC, however, classifies as “haters” anyone who does not submit to its pro-abortion and pro-homosexual agendas.

RFC also works overseas, with programs such as its Diapers for Refugees.

“Jeff Bezos, the CEO of Amazon, is a radical liberal on social issues and has banned hundreds of pro-family and conservative organizations from using the Amazon Smile donation program including the American Family Association, Coral Ridge Ministries, and Christian legal defense organizations like Liberty Counsel, Alliance Defending Freedom and others. Any group that Jeff Bezos sees as ‘bigots’ (those not supporting his radical social agenda) are removed,” RFC said in a newsletter.

“Jeff Bezos is a strange leftist. He believes in capitalism – his current wealth is over $150 billion and his donations from that wealth show what he believes. He gave $33 million to a college fund for those who came into the United States illegally. He and his wife have given millions to advance same-sex marriage, and he makes sure that Amazon Smile donations go to the baby killers at Planned Parenthood.

“How are conservative and Christians groups excluded from Amazon Smile? Amazon bars all ‘hate groups’ listed by the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a discredited organization whose leaders have hidden millions of dollars in off-shore accounts so they can raise even more money from radical left billionaires like Jeff Bezos.”

The newsletter said: “It has apparently been determined by SPLC and Jeff Bezos that the Religious Freedom Coalition is ‘bigoted’ because we fund Christmas programs for Christian children forced from their homes by Sunni Muslim jihadists. Bezos would have the Religious Freedom Coalition give 95 percent of its aid to Muslims, because they are 95 percent of the population of Iraq. The fact that Christians are victims of genocide is of no concern to Jeff Bezos.

“Of course, our Diapers for Refugees program is ‘bigoted’ as well, because we distribute diapers to Christian families persecuted by Muslim jihadists. Jeff Bezos would probably want us to give diapers to the four wives of one of the jihadist fighters.”

“Amazon Smile’s posted notice says the Religious Freedom Coalition is ‘currently not eligible to receive donations.’ That is deliberately worded to make people think that there is some financial wrong doing. The wording was chosen to do harm to organizations that Jeff Bezos does not like politically,” the newsletter charged.

WND reported another Christian group, the Alliance Defending Freedom, suffered damage from being ejected from the Smile program.

SPLC’s hate list also was used by the charity-information site GuideStar, prompting lawsuits that remain on appeal. While it famously battled the KKK many years ago, of late SPLC has taken to labeling famed surgeon and conservative Dr. Ben Carson as a “hater.” And it was linked to domestic terror through Floyd Corkins, who used information from SPLC to target the Family Research Council with a mass-murder attempt at the Christian organization’s Washington, D.C., headquarters. SPLC also was reprimanded by the far-left administration of Barack Obama, and the Department of Defense and FBI have severed their ties to the group.

Michael Farris, ADF’s president, CEO and chief counsel, said that to justify removing ADF from the Amazon Smile program, Amazon “is hiding behind the Southern Poverty Law Center, a discredited fundraising group that fills its ever-increasing coffers by attacking veterans, Catholics, Muslims who oppose terrorism, and even nuns.”

“SPLC is not a neutral watchdog organization,” Farris said. “Instead, it raises money by slandering people and organizations who disagree with its views. ADF is one of the nation’s most respected and successful Supreme Court advocates, working to preserve our fundamental freedoms of speech, religion, and conscience for people from all walks of life. We would welcome the opportunity to meet with Amazon representatives to explain why they shouldn’t exclude us from the Amazon Smile program.”

SafeHome lumps Christians, Nazis, Klan all together

A website called SafeHome.org, which analyzes home-security systems for consumers, has released a new politically correct report on the presence of “hate” online, specifically on Twitter.

“Their presence online is growing,” the site warns. “We studied these Twitter accounts to understand not just how hateful sentiment has evolved over the years, but also in which states these comments originate.”

But there’s a problem.

SafeHome.org confesses it took the definition of “hate” groups from the Southern Poverty Law Center, which itself has been called a “hate” group. SPLC applies the label to individuals and groups that disagree with its pro-abortion, pro-homosexual and pro-liberal agenda.

That’s why it includes the conservative Family Research Council on its list, alongside the American Nazi Party.

And the traditional-marriage-supporting American Family Association alongside the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

And the conservative Liberty Counsel with the New Black Panther Party.

And ACT for America alongside the Nation of Islam.

And Most Holy Family Monastery alongside Westboro Baptist Church.

It was commentator John Stossel, in a WND column, who turned SPLC’s labeling of Christians against the group itself.

“SPLC once fought useful fights. They took on the Ku Klux Klan. But now they go after people on the right with whom they disagree,” he wrote. “They call the Family Research Council a hate group because it says gay men are more likely to sexually abuse children. That’s their belief. There is some evidence that supports it. Do they belong on a ‘hate map,’ like the Ku Klux Klan, because they believe that evidence and worry about it?

“I often disagree with the council, but calling them a hate group is unfair. In my YouTube video this week, the group’s vice president, Jerry Boykin, tells me, ‘I don’t hate gay people. And I know gay people, and I have worked with gay people.'”

Stossel noted that groups tagged with the “hate group” label become a target, noting the attack on the headquarters of the Family Research Council by Floyd Corkins, who told investigators he chose FRC because of SPLC’s list.

Stossel said: “SPLC is now a hate group itself. It’s a money-grabbing slander machine.”

It’s already been documented that social media companies including Google, YouTube and Twitter, and also Amazon, have been curbing and censoring the flow of political speech.

Their point of commonality is that most of them work with SPLC, using its judgment on what constitutes “hate.”

“At this rate, with left-wing zealots controlling content on all the major social media, search and e-commerce platforms, free expression in America will become extinct. The American political culture will be effectively transformed into something resembling the University of Berkeley or other college campuses with their speech codes and ‘safe zones,'” warned WND CEO Joseph Farah, who repeatedly has been attacked by SPLC.

Brexit advocate and British politician Nigel Farage recently charged Facebook was “doctoring” the news to conform to CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s “personal political views.”

Farage said Zuckerberg’s “personal political views, and no doubt those of his close colleagues in Silicon Valley, may help to explain why in January this year Facebook announced its algorithms were going to change.”

Farage noted the tech giant said it was going to “de-prioritise” news publishers and their posts in Facebook users’ news feeds.

“In other words, it was going to doctor the kind of news to which Facebook’s 1 billion users were exposed,” he said.

“And this is exactly what it has done.”

Farage said the “impact of this decision has been swift and brutal.”

“According to analysis of Facebook engagement data using various tech programmes including BuzzSumo, conservative publishers like Breitbart and Fox News (for whom I work as a contributor) have seen a significant decrease in the numbers visiting their websites and engaging with their messages via Facebook. It is estimated that traffic to certain right-of-centre sites and commentators driven by Facebook has fallen by 25 per cent or more,” he wrote.

The SafeHome.org report said it identified “almost 900” hate groups in the U.S., with the highest concentration in Arkansas.

That makes it the “most hateful state,” it said.

And it cited the pro-national security Federation for American Immigration Reform as having the largest Twitter following, with more than 72,000. But nestled inside the list was the American Nazi Party, with some 11,000, and the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan, with 7,200, obfuscating the fact there’s a difference between a “hate” group and an organization that does not toe liberal moral, political and social agendas.

SafeHome confirmed it “sourced” SPLC’s “hate map” then grouped the organizations and counted tweets and retweets.

The Daily Caller reported last week Facebook, Amazon, Google and Twitter have developed a working partnership with SPLC.

SPLC is on a list of “external experts and organizations” that Facebook works with “to inform our hate speech policies,” Facebook spokeswoman Ruchika Budhraja told the Daily Caller.

In March, National Review reported Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., the chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, accused Twitter of “censoring” tweets by the highly influential Drudge Report.

Just last week, a “deceptive site” warning appeared in some browsers trying to access Rush Limbaugh’s popular website.

WND CEO Joseph Farah, who previously collaborated with Limbaugh on a best-selling book, wrote recently about the progressive agenda driven by the web giants.

He noted Hillary Clinton was asked which company she would like to lead, and her answer was Facebook.

She said at the time: “I just wanna add, it’s the biggest news platform in the world. Most people in our country get their news – true or not – from Facebook. Now Facebook is trying to take on some of the unexpected consequences of their business model, and I hope they get it right because it really is critical to our democracy that people get accurate information on which to make decisions.”

Farah wrote: “Of course, Clinton has blamed the influence of fake news and Russian bots on Facebook, among other factors, for her loss of the 2016 presidential election.

He noted there have been reports of Facebook “news curators” being told to hide conservative content from the “trending” section.

“Google’s corporate culture is no different. Google fired engineer James Damore for criticizing the company’s ‘Ideological Echo Chamber.’ The company claimed he was fired for ‘advancing harmful gender stereotypes in our workplace.’ Damore is suing Google, saying it mistreats whites, males and conservatives.”

Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, has called the tech giants a “clear and present danger to our democratic system.”

Last month, the Republican National Committee and the Trump 2020 campaign wrote to Facebook and Twitter requesting answers to questions about their efforts to prevent political bias on their platforms.

“The letter comes amid concerns about the censorship of conservative speech online,” the report said.

The letter from RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel and Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale “expresses alarm at allegations that the sites have blocked conservative content and users.”

“We recognize that Facebook and Twitter operate in liberal corporate cultures. However, rampant political bias is inappropriate for a widely used public forum,” the letter said. “What’s more, the consequences to our democratic society are profound. That is why special attention is necessary to address issues such as Facebook’s use of liberal organizations to fact-check content, the access to user profiles it gives to some employees, and Twitter’s manipulation of content that appears for the site’s users.”

FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force looking into the matter

Imran Awan, the former IT aide to congressional Democrats, including former Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, is prepared to strike a plea deal with prosecutors, court filings indicate.

A plea agreement hearing for Awan and his wife, Hina Alvi, has been set for July 3 before U.S. District Judge Tanya S. Chutkan in Washington, according to a filing Tuesday, FoxNews.com reported.

Imran Awan, and his brothers Abid and Jamal, allegedly ran a ghost employee scheme along with their wives that took in nearly $6 million over the years. After wiring approximately $300,000 to his native Pakistan in July 2017, Imran Awan was arrested by the FBI at Dulles International Airport and indicted on four counts of bank fraud after prosecutors said the suspects tried to flee the country. He was carrying $12,000 in cash at the time of his arrest.

The indictments were only for bank fraud – not the IT breach –  but sources have made it clear that the bank fraud charges are merely a way to hold the defendants, according to Frank Miniter, who says he has investigated the case for an upcoming book, “Spies in Congress.”

In a column for FoxNews.com, Miniter noted the allegations against the Awans include theft of congressional equipment, massive data breaches of Congress members’ emails and espionage.

Sources, he said, told him the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force has been looking into the matter since well before Awan and his family members were expelled from the House computer network in February 2017.

Investigators were particularly interested in whether or not anyone else in the congressional offices was involved in alleged improper activity, including Wasserman Schultz and former Rep. Xavier Becerra, D-Calif., who employed Awan when Becerra was chairman of the House Democratic Caucus. Becerra is now California attorney general.

Trump has shown interest in the case, tweeting about “the Pakistani mystery man” and asking last year, “Whatever happened to this Pakistani guy who worked with the DNC?”

FoxNews.com said the filing Tuesday did not reveal any details about the terms of the apparent agreement, but prosecutors hinted in court documents last month that a deal could be in the works.

This week, the Daily Caller News Foundation, citing a House employee, reported that when a House Office of Inspector General cybersecurity investigation found that Awan made “unauthorized access” to House servers, including the House Democratic Caucus’ shortly before the election, Wasserman Schultz screamed at House officials, demanding they kill the probe.

The congresswoman became “frantic, not normal,” “making the rounds” to House officials in an attempt to kill the investigation, the House employee said.

Wasserman Schultz, the source said, cornered House Chief Administrative Officer Phil Kiko and called him a “f—– Islamophobe,” saying “you will not so much as take away their parking spots.”

The Florida congresswoman has claimed it was “Islamophobia” that sparked the investigations.

Investigators, however, already have concluded Awan and other family members made “unauthorized access” to House servers while working as highly paid IT administrators for House Democrats until Capitol Police began probing them in early 2017.

Awan apparently was close to Wasserman Schultz, telling people she chose the name for his daughter, Leza, a Jewish name, the Daily Caller reported. The daughter regularly rode a horse that Awan kept at a boarding facility.

WND reported in January that the IT aides sometimes even logged in as congressmen to cover their tracks. Authorities said there is evidence the members’ data may have been aggregated onto one server, which then was physically stolen.

Last month, the Daily Caller News Foundation reported Awan’s father transferred a USB drive to a Pakistani senator and former head of a Pakistani intelligence agency, according to the father’s former business partner.

In April, congressional documents revealed there were no background checks conducted on the Pakistan-born IT aides.

No classified information?

Awan remained on the payroll of Wasserman Schultz – who served as chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee when its IT network was hacked in 2016 – until he was arrested last July.

But, in an interview with WND in October, Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, rebutted the former DNC chair’s claims, arguing that Democratic members of Congress who serve on intelligence committees would, by the nature of their work, correspond about sensitive information.

“The argument is that there was no classified information that was compromised or breached – that’s what they said about Hillary Clinton at first,” he said. “Some of them – like Andre Carson served on the Select Committee on Intelligence – would have access to the highest level of classified information that we have in the United States Congress.”

King said the Democrats essentially surrendered highly classified material to anti-American Pakistani workers who “don’t have allegiance to the United States.”

“The GOP wants to put the government back on its rails again and operating efficiently. Democrats want to pull it down,” he said. “When we hire people to work in our office, I want to make sure I am looking them in the eye. I want to know who’s doing what work and what they’re going to get paid for that. That’s our jobs to do that.

“Instead, they are funneling taxpayer dollars to people who, at a minimum, are not natural-born American citizens. If they’re sending money to Pakistan and absconding to Pakistan, they don’t have allegiance to the United States, either.”

The Awans could be just “a crooked family that found a way to scam the House of Representatives and skim wages out,” he said.

But the worst-case scenario, King argued, is the Pakistani family funneled information or money “into the hands of the Taliban or ISIS.”

Make a joke about skin color and you’re a racist. About gender orientation and you’re a “homophobe.” About Islam and you’re an “Islamophobe.”

But Christians are a fair target, apparently.

It happened at a Scottish state school where the parents of a 5-year-old report their daughter was bullied for saying grace before a meal.

Their names aren’t being reported to protect the girl, but the family lives in the Highlands.

The parents said their daughter was “happy” growing up but, but grew depressed and dreaded school after being mocked, over and over, for expressing her Christian beliefs.

Kate Forbes, a member of parliament, raised the issue recently, explaining her concern that schools are failing to address religious intolerance.

The Christian Institute noted the girl said “other children had been making fun of her praying to God.”

“We are still not 100 percent sure our daughter is over this,” the parents said.

“A 5-year-old saying grace before lunch is not hurting anyone and she should be free to do that,” said Forbes. “I do think it is becoming more difficult for people with faith and that means that the schools and authorities have to do more to make sure schools are an inclusive environment.”

Free Church of Scotland minister Rev. Alasdair Macleod pointed out a “growing problem” of intolerance toward Christian students.

“It feels to me that schools are becoming an increasingly hostile environment for Christian pupils, and this hostility must stop,” he said. “Bullying, mocking or intimidation towards pupils on the basis of their Christian faith is unacceptable and needs to be recognized as such.”

The Scottish Catholic Observer reported Forbes’ call for a crackdown on intimidation of Christians.

Hackers took control of monitors at Mashhad Airport in northeast Iran, displaying messages in support of a movement to overthrow the mullah-led regime.

Members of a growing grass-roots movement in Iran seeking to overthrow the mullah-led Islamic regime are emboldened by new sanctions imposed this week by the United States on top of the canceling of the nuclear agreement.

The evidence can be seen in Twitter posts by Iranians with the hash tag #FreeIran2018, which declare support for the U.S. move Wednesday and report bold acts of civil disobedience and major protests intended ultimately to foster revolution.

Javad Hamida‏ wrote Wednesday: “I am an Iranian, And I welcome the sanctions against the tortuous and oppressive organs of the Iranian people, By the US government.”

Maryam Rajavi,‏ the leader of the People’s Mujahedin of Iran, an organization trying to overthrow the government, and the president-elect of the National Council of Resistance of Iran, wrote that the “mullahs’ religious fascism in #Iran is fleeting, devoid of any future. The people of Iran are seeking the overthrow of the entire Velayat-e Faqih regime,” referring to the Islamic government.

Thursday night in the town of Zarrin-Shahr, a city of 56,000 in central Iran, “young supporters of a free Iran” set fire to a picture on a sidewalk of Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Khamenei.

The man who shot video of the act, which was distributed via Twitter, can be heard saying, according to an English translation: “Dictator, say hello to your end.”

At Iran’s second busiest airport, hackers took over video monitors to display messages supporting the revolt.

Jazayeri noted oil tanker truck drivers in Isfahan have joined the strike. He said the continued protests by energy-sector workers “could be a mortal blow to the already failing economy.”

The National Council of Resistance of Iran — which describes itself as “a broad coalition of democratic Iranian organizations, groups, and personalities” founded in 1981 in Tehran — is promoting an annual international gathering of Iranians scheduled for June 30 in Paris.

“This year’s gathering will be held circumstances of unceasing nationwide protests and uprising of the people from all walks of life and all segments of society against the religious tyranny ruling Iran and demanding regime change,” the council said.

“This gathering will express solidarity with the Iranian people’s long quest for freedom and democracy, and support for the democratic alternative to the current dictatorship in Iran.”

‘How much longer?’

Jazayeri‏ wrote that it’s been nearly 40 years since the mullahs took over Iran, and still people “don’t have basic services.”

U.S. ‘stands with the people of Iran’

When the U.S. announced the new sanctions Wednesday, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin declared America “stands with the people of Iran, and Treasury is taking action to hold the Iranian regime accountable for ongoing human rights abuses, censorship, and other despicable acts it commits against its own citizens.”

Mnuchin said Iran “not only exports terrorism and instability across the world, it routinely violates the rights of its own people.”

“The Iranian regime diverts national resources that should belong to the people to fund a massive and expensive censorship apparatus and suppress free speech,” he said.

Last week, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo pointed out Iran used sanctions relief from the 2015 nuclear deal to export terrorism.

He urged the Iranian people to consider that their Islamic leaders are responsible for the economic hardships they are suffering.

“Rouhani and Zarif are your elected leaders. Are they not the most responsible for your economic struggles? Are these two not responsible for wasting Iranian lives throughout the Middle East?” he said.

Instead of helping their own citizens, Pompeo said, the regime “continues to seek a corridor stretching from Iran’s borders to the shores of the Mediterranean.”

Former President Barack Obama was criticized for not supporting the 2009 Iranian Green Protest Movement. Israeli Deputy Minister Michael Oren charged in January that Obama didn’t support the revolution a decade ago because he hoped to reach a deal with Iran on its nuclear weapons, which he signed six years later.

Former Soviet dissident Natan Sharansky called it the biggest failure to help human rights in modern history.

Provision 'does not invariably equate' to international violence

A federal appeals court has ruled that material support to terrorists is not always terrorism, says a report in Joseph Farah’s G2 Bulletin.

The ruling by the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in the Linde v. Arab Bank case drew the attention of the Congressional Research Service, which analyzed the impact.

CRS said the court, by “holding that victims of terror attacks are not always entitled to recover civil damages even if they prove the defendant committed the crime of material support, highlights the legal complexities and obstacles that plaintiffs face when seeking civil damages under [the Antiterrorism Act.]”

One takeaway is that the understanding of liability for terror is changing.

“Congress has expressed interest in providing civil remedies to victims of terrorist attacks abroad for several decades,” the CRS report said. “The ATA was passed partly out of concern that the family members of Americans killed in the 1985 hijacking of a Mediterranean cruise ship and the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing could not seek redress in U.S. courts.

“In recent years, this interest has expanded to permit so-called ‘secondary liability’ for those who aid and abet – but do not directly participate in – terrorist acts. … The Justice Against Sponsors of Terrorism Act extended ATA liability to those who conspire to commit acts of international terrorism or who aid and abet those acts by ‘knowingly providing substantial assistance.'”

In the case, the plaintiffs might have been able to assert an aiding and abetting claim against the bank under JASTA if they had not agreed to a settlement, the court found.

The 2nd Circuit’s decision overturned a jury verdict that found Arab Bank liable for injuries and damages to Americans during the second Palestinian intifada.

The Americans were set to recover a stipulated $100 million from Arab Bank under the civil liability provisions of the ATA.

But the 2nd Circuit vacated the decision, “holding that the trial court incorrectly concluded that a violation of the federal law criminalizing material support to foreign terrorist organizations necessarily constitutes an ‘act of international terrorism’ subject to civil liability under the ATA,” CRS said.

Arab Bank was discovered to have processed more than $30 million in wire transfers for senior Hamas leaders and charities known to funnel money to the terrorist organization.

The CRS report said some transfers were identified expressly as compensation for “martyrdom operations” – meaning they were payments promised to the families of terrorists who completed suicide attacks.

The trial court also sanctioned Arab Bank for its decision not to produce bank records of some foreign account-holders.

They’re back.

Eighteen thousand manufacturing jobs that Barack Obama promised were gone forever.

The figure was just one on a list of good-news reports Friday about the American job outlook, and talk-radio star Rush Limbaugh jumped on the naysayers, including Obama, for not having the faith and hope that America needs.

“Manufacturing added 18,000 jobs. Obama said these are jobs that are never coming back. … Somebody stood up and asked about manufacturing jobs, and Obama said (impression), ‘Well, there’s a guy out there talking – and I don’t want to mention his name because I don’t want to promote him,’ i.e., Trump ‘who’s telling you these jobs are coming back.'”

Limbaugh quoted Obama: “I’m here to tell you, they’re not! Somebody has gotta be honest with you, and that’s me, and they’re not comin’ back.”

Amid the reports Friday of another 223,000 jobs created and an unemployment rate of 3.8 percent, Limbaugh said: “They’re coming back, and they are roaring back. You know what else? Retail jobs: 31,000 new retail jobs. Everybody’s out there talking about how retail is dying because of the internet. Well, 31,000 retail jobs. Construction grew by 25,000 new jobs.”

Even a news outlet routinely negative toward President Trump admitted the U.S. labor market “was firing on all cylinders in May: the unemployment rate fell to an 18-year low, employers added jobs at a faster pace and wages modestly improved.”

Bloomberg reported average hourly earnings rose to an annual increase of 2.7 percent. It quoted Michael Feroli, chief U.S. economist at JPMorgan Chase & Co, saying: “Demand for labor remains pretty vigorous. There isn’t a whole lot to dislike in this report.”

CNS News pointed out the the number of federal workers dropped by another 3,000 for a total of 24,000 since Trump was elected.

Limbaugh pointed out that a new book about Obama includes his claim that he had “Trump set up well for the economy.”

“Obama wouldn’t know this kind of economy if it slapped him in the ears! Wait a minute. Is that promoting violence? Are they gonna come after me for hate speech on that?” Limbaugh speculated.

“Folks, this is stunning what is happening in our country. And it’s doubly stunning to see how the media is doing everything it can to ignore it, but they are failing. The jobs numbers are so good – the unemployment number is so good – that they can’t ignore it.”

Limbaugh pointed out that in the mining sector – an industry both Obama and Hillary Clinton promised to put out of business – employment rose by 6,000 jobs.

“So I’m just straight reporting. Black unemployment hits record low, 5.9 percent, first time ever under 6 percent. Conservatives everywhere are celebrating the low black unemployment rate! They’re happy as they can be about it! Conservative publications, right-leaning publications are trumpeting historic low numbers for black unemployment. But yet I thought conservatives didn’t like minorities.”

He continued: “Asian and Hispanic unemployment numbers are low too. Shouldn’t that make conservatives mad? I mean, this is what the left tells us. The left tells us conservatives… In California, Google has now used ‘Nazism’ as one of the descriptions for Republicans. If you look up a Republican, a candidate or otherwise in California and you use Google and Wikipedia, you will find ‘Nazism’ as one of the descriptions. Google has since apologized said, ‘Well, that’s – that’s… I don’t know how that got in there. We’ll, uh, make sure, uh, that’s removed. Uh, we don’t – don’t know how that got in there.”

“In any other climate, in any other atmosphere, this would be leading every cable newscast, and everybody would be happy about it, because this is restoring America’s wealth,” Limbaugh said. “This is the story of the decade.”

The Democratic congresswoman from California said: “May’s jobs report shows that strong employment means little to the families hit about soaring new costs under the Republicans’ watch. Republicans’ cruel, cynical health care sabotage campaign is spiking families’ premiums by double digits.”

The unemployment for Hispanic workers was at a record low, at 4.8 percent, and rose only slightly to 4.9 percent in May.

Bloomberg called the payroll gains “fairly broad-based.”

Benjamin Rhodes, whose new book about Obama, “The World as It Is,” reveals Obama’s shock after Hillary Clinton was defeated, explained Obama couldn’t understand Trump’s win, swinging back and forth from anger to self-doubt.

Rhodes served as Obama’s deputy national security adviser.

A confessed pedophile who served prison time for threatening to assassinate the president of the United States is running for Congress in Virginia.

The candidacy of Nathan Larson, an independent, was made possible by former Democratic Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe, who restored the rights of felons in 2016 to vote and run for office.

Larson, a 37-year old accountant, acknowledged to the HuffPost he is a pedophile who has bragged in website posts about raping his late ex-wife.

He confirmed he created now-defunct chat rooms that, the HuffPost said, “served as gathering places for pedophiles and violence-minded misogynists like himself.”

Larson explained why he’s running for the House seat.

“A lot of people are tired of political correctness and being constrained by it,” he said. “People prefer when there’s an outsider who doesn’t have anything to lose and is willing to say what’s on a lot of people’s minds.”

 The HuffPost asked him whether he’s a pedophile or just writes about pedophilia.
“It’s a mix of both,” Larson replied. “When people go over the top there’s a grain of truth to what they say.”

In 2009, Larson was sentenced to 16 months in prison for threatening to kill President Obama.

He wrote in a 2008 email to the Secret Service: “I am writing to inform you that in the near future, I will kill the President of the United States of America.”

Larson would not have been eligible to run for office or vote before August 2016, when McAuliffe, a longtime Clinton operative, restored the rights of some 13,000 felons.

McAuliffe, who is thought to be a candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2020, initially issued a blanket clemency that restored the rights of  200,000 felons in April 2016.

But the state Supreme Court struck down the order, ruling McAuliffe exceeded his legal authority. The governor then trimmed the number.

In a sequel called “The Great Deception,” he juxtaposes U.N. condemnations of Israel for using force when its border was breached May 14 with footage of violent protests and Hamas propaganda.

Apparently Rehov’s second video was too much for YouTube, which shut down his account Wednesday “for violating YouTube’s community guidelines.”

Rehov wrote to his followers: “My Youtube account has been closed by Youtube. They got down my videos one after the other, and finally closed the account. You can still watch some of my work here: https://t.co/xbQ3s2mlnF”

WND, before Rehov’s account was shut down, downloaded his two-part series, which can be viewed at the top of the page.

After releasing the first video, Rehov told the Jerusalem Post he did it “because I observed many times first hand how Palestinians build their propaganda, and I strongly believe that no peace will be possible as long as international media believe their narrative instead of seeing the facts.”

“Hamas knows that it can count on the international community when it launches initiatives such as those ‘peaceful protests’ which have claimed too many lives already, while Israel has no choice but to defend its borders,” Rehov said.

The new video demonstrates the chief Hamas objective of eliminating the Jewish state, showing, among other things, Palestinian protesters holding a map of “Palestine,” with no Israel.

Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyeh is seen proclaiming “Khaybar, Khaybar oh Jews, the army of Muhammad has began to return” at a public rally, reminding Israel of the annihilation of Jewish tribes in the Arabian Peninsula by Islam’s prophet, Muhammad.

“Today our newest army, which is almighty, can do scary and terrible things to our enemies […] and this is thanks to our people,” Haniyeh then tells the crowd.

The crowd responds with chants of “death to Israel!”

Rehov told the Jerusalem Post his intent with the short documentaries is to present only facts, adding, “One image is worth 1,000 words.”

His previous documentaries include “The Road to Jenin,” debunking the claim that the Israelis massacred refugees at the Jenin camp, and “War Crimes in Gaza,” demonstrating Hamas’s use of civilians as human shields.

Rehov’s new documentary includes a video released by Israel Defense Forces May 16 of a Palestinian man, described as a Hamas terrorist, explaining how the terrorist organization that controls Gaza incites residents to engage in violent protest against Israel.

The video came as members of the United Nations accused Israel of not using restraint May 14 as Palestinians, armed with guns and knives, incendiary kites, burning tires and other weapons rioted at the border. Hamas appealed to the world, claiming Israeli forces killed 62 Palestinians. But a Hamas senior official confessed in a television interview that some 50 of the 62 people who died Monday and Tuesday were Hamas members.

The captured Hamas member said: “Hamas is the one that sends us Facebook and text messages telling us to go and in the mosques they call and send fliers that tell us to go to the fence.

“They control the Gaza Strip, and everything that happens there goes through them.”

He said Hamas “organizes these riots so that the people won’t revolt.”

“Hamas tell themselves, instead of having people revolt and turn against us, we’ll send them to the fence and let them ‘revolt’ there freely,” he said.

The man explained that when electricity is functioning in the Gaza Strip, Hamas dispatches messages telling citizens to go to the fence and riot, organizing transportation.

He said Hamas instructs women and children to move close to the border fence, assuring them that the Israel Defense Forces soldiers do not shoot women and children.

Hamas, he continued, has “established a committee that is responsible for the march, and for telling people to go.”

However, he said, “people wear out and get fed up, and I am one of these people.”

Dozens of social media posts called for Palestinians to bring guns and knives to the protest, knock down the border fence, kidnap Israeli civilians and hand them over to Hamas.

An immigrant from Mali staying illegally in France has become a national hero – with offers of papers, citizenship if he wants it, and a job – after scrambling up the outside of a building to save a four-year-old dangling from a fifth-floor balcony.
How, the child got into the predicament isn’t clear, but authorities told a newspaper his father his being charged with neglect.
The situation developed suddenly, and the immigrant, Mamoudou Gassama, being described as “Spiderman” in many reports, responded instantly.
That there was someone making a video spread word of his heroics at the speed of the web.
But NPR reported French President Emmanuel Macron offered Gassama citizenship.
Gassama, 22, also was offered a job with the Paris firefighters brigade, the report said.

NPR reported observers were watching in horror as the child dangled from the balcony, then Gassama jumped into action, scaling from balcony to balcony.

The murder of a Baltimore County police officer by a 16-year-old black male with an extensive criminal past has sparked national outrage.
Officer Amy Caprio, 29, was run over and killed after she responded to a 9-1-1 call and approached a group of black males suspected of burglarizing a home in Perry Hall, Maryland.
The driver, Dawnta Anthony Harris, has been charged with first-degree murder as an adult. Police also charged three other teenagers with first-degree murder and felony burglary. The judge called Harris a “one-man crime wave.”
Despite a confession, Dawnta Harris’ black attorney, J. Wyndal Gordon, blamed the deceased officer. In a press conference with the suspect’s mother, the attorney claimed Officer Caprio showed “aggression” and that the accused teen was in “survival mode” when he ran over the officer with a stolen Jeep. This shameless lawyer knows his suspect is guilty, yet he’s putting the deceased officer on trial. What a lowlife!
According to reports, Officer Caprio was able to get off a single shot, but she didn’t hit the suspect. I can’t help but wonder if she hesitated at all due to the intense scrutiny police are under every time they engage black suspects. In 2018 alone, 60 officers were killed in the line duty.
Outraged by the cold-blooded crime and lack of accountability from disgraced Baltimore City State’s Attorney Marilyn Mosby, Lt. Gene Ryan, president of the Baltimore City Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #3 wrote a scathing Op-Ed and laid the blamed on Mosby’s “catch and release” philosophy of criminal enforcement.

“The refrains on social media are all the same: Republicans control the Hill and the White House. Why aren’t they defunding Planned Parenthood? By now, the entire country has seen the ghoulish videos; they’ve heard the criminal evidence; they know these centers are destroying an innocent life every 98 seconds. They’re right to be upset,” FRC said.
“But we also need to remember the limits of the process. If pro-lifers want to do what a 51-member majority in the Senate can’t, it’s time to start thinking creatively.”

Officials with Skyhorse Publishing, who have published Malloch’s new book, “The Plot to Destroy Trump: How the Deep State Fabricated the Russian Dossier to Subvert the President,” confirmed that Mallon was detained and interrogated by the FBI on arrival from London on Wednesday.
“The result is that Malloch is now scheduled to testify in Washington, D.C., on April 13th under Robert Mueller’s Grand Jury investigation,” the announcement said.

A Florida megachurch pastor told his congregation that Jesus appeared in his home on Good Friday, and the pastor says he was surprised by Christ’s personality.
Stoval Weems is senior pastor of Jacksonville’s Celebration Church, which has 12,000 members.
“I want to talk to you about the experience I had Friday night where I met and I saw our risen Savior,” Weems said in a YouTube video recording of his Easter Sunday service.
Weems explained that he’s been “walking with God” for 28 years, but he said this is the first time he’s ever had an encounter with Jesus.
“The first thing that I was taken back with is like Jesus’ personality. This is how Jesus was when He was on the earth. I heard His voice. … the cadence of His voice,” Weems continued. “I can sense His mood. I can sense His presence like He has a personality. He was fully God but many times we forget the man Christ Jesus. He came as a man so He has His own unique personality so what’s overwhelming is that He was new in that way but at the same time I felt like I’ve known Him forever.
“I can’t describe the closeness that I felt with Jesus. He didn’t look at me, I never saw the front of his face. He was wearing a white garment. He had brown hair.”

The suspect who opened fire at YouTube’s headquarters in San Bruno, California, and killed herself Tuesday, raged about the video-sharing company’s filters.
Police identified the shooter who wounded at least four people as Nasim Aghdam, a woman in her 30s who lived in Southern California.
Nasim means “breeze” in Arabic, and Aghdam is a common surname in Iran.
Her now-terminated YouTube account, under the name “Nasim Wonder1,” described her as a “Persian female vegan bodybuilder” and “animal rights activist promoting healthy and humane living.”

Aghdam also had other YouTube channels, and she spoke in Farsi on one of them.
In a video Aghdam posted in January 2017, she complained that the site “discriminated and filtered” her videos. She also said the site slashed her ad revenue.
And she took to Facebook in February 2017 to blast the social-media site, saying, “There is not equal growth opportunity on YouTube.”

Texas fossil museum collects what most evolution theorists seek to bury

There’s a mystery on display at the Mt. Blanco Fossil Museum in Crosbyton, Texas: What appears to be evidence of man-made artifacts that were embedded in sandstone reported to be 300 million years old.

Curator Joe Taylor recently molded a series of depressions left by four strange objects that left behind impressions in hard Pennsylvanian sandstone – a layer of strata said to be 300 million years old.

The appearance of the objects is similar to modern plumbing valves, complete with hex-head nuts. The site of the discovery is within the tri-state area of Oklahoma, Kansas, and Missouri. Its precise location is being kept under wraps until a further investigation has concluded.

No one knows when the actual objects themselves, which made the depressions, were removed. Chisel marks are discernable at the small ends of the impressions, likely from someone prying the objects loose.

“You can see shatter marks around them,” Taylor said. “That means something was in those depressions.”

The current whereabouts of the objects are also unknown.

Todd Jurasek was alerted to the existence of the impressions by an elderly, Native American WWII veteran. Jurasek in turn contacted Joe Taylor, known for his skill in creating successful molds in difficult locations and conditions.

“I molded the depressions where the objects had been,” Taylor said. “Then I molded that mold and cast it – which gives us the objects’ shape.”

Fossils of sea creatures are often found in Pennsylvanian sandstone, but what were man-made, metal-type objects doing in ancient strata?

“There’s an obvious problem here,” Taylor said. “All the people who say this formation is 300 million years old would also say no man or mammals existed then. So what’s modern plumbing-like equipment doing in there? Either the formation isn’t that old, or man was around before the dinosaurs. If that’s the case, the evolution story they tell in schools can’t be true.”

Pennsylvanian sandstone is quite hard, ruling out any possibility the impressions were created by modern-day equipment that sank into the rock.

“You have foundations of buildings made from this sandstone,” Taylor said, “because it won’t sink. You’ve got to chisel it to get anything in there.”

Both Pennsylvanian sandstone and coal seams are alleged to have yielded up metal artifacts in the past.

“But no one ever saved the coal,” Taylor said. “If they found a bowl or bell in the coal, they never saved the coal itself. So you don’t know if the object came from a gift shop.”

The Oklahoma impressions are a game changer.

“This is the matrix – this is what the objects were in. And it can’t be moved because it’s the bottom of a long creek. It’s proof positive the objects were there.”

Taylor is the curator and director of the Mt. Blanco Fossil Museum. As one of the foremost fossil restorationists in the nation, his work is sought out by collectors, museums, and institutions in the U.S. and abroad.

“I’m part of a circle of friends,” Taylor said. “Guys who will invest our own time and money, when we have very little of it, to go do this kind of work. I call us the dirty hands creationists, the dirty hands paleontologists.”

Taylor supports a theory that the objects were buried in a massive flood.

“They were made by descendants of Adam within the last six thousand years. The biblical timeline says Adam was created six thousand years ago … and his descendant Tubal-cain began working with metal. At the time of Noah’s Flood, you’d had metal working for centuries.”

He opposes a gradualism view of geological epochs. Instead Taylor favors a catastrophism view, in line with Genesis accounts, which maintains that the Earth was shaped by sudden, violent events.

The flood, Taylor said, caused a massive upheaval. Rushing mud and outflowing water courses carried away buildings and artifacts and resulted in new layers of strata over a short period of time.

Then the abatement of the floodwaters carved out deep canyons all over the world.

“Where these objects were discovered,” Taylor said, “the abatement cut down through these newly laid sandstone layers and got down to the bottom of this layer, then just became a creek. In the following 4,500 years, rains came in and washed on down and finally exposed these things.”

Plans are in place for Jurasek to return to the site with a metal detector.

“We don’t know if there are more objects under the layers there,” Taylor said.

Two other impressions are located farther up the creek, one of which is significantly eroded.

To reach the remote location on private ranchland, Taylor hiked over rough, broken ground, a hike made more difficult by the intense pain of nerve spasms in his leg.

Taylor told himself “You may only have one chance to get this – so you’ve got to just suffer through it.”

Arriving at the creek bed, Taylor first satisfied himself the depressions hadn’t been carved.

“It’s in a corner of the creek that’s usually under water. It’s not something anybody carved. If you could carve that [for a mold], you could just make the machine that would reproduce it, so you don’t need to carve them.”

Taylor hopes publicity will lead to the discovery of the objects’ current location.

“It would be great if someone saw an article on this and said, you know, Grandpa had something like that in his old shop – and maybe it’s still there. If anyone finds something like that, we would sure like to see it.”

Casts made from Taylor’s molds will be permanently on display at the Mt. Blanco Fossil Museum.

“You can deny it if you want to – but I was there,” Taylor said. “It’s in the sandstone. This can’t be 300 million years old. Even if they said it was only three million, are you going to have a half-ape, half-man making these things? No. All that millions of years stuff isn’t true. Man wasn’t inferior the further back you go – he was superior.”

Inserted in a sweeping House bill introduced earlier this month called Securing America’s Future Act of 2018 is the establishment of a new biometric National ID card for all Americans that has privacy activists sounding alarms.

Introduced by Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., H.R. 4760 encompasses issues such as education, Homeland Security and the military. Buried in the 400-page legislation is the new mandatory national identification system in which citizens would be required to carry a government-approved ID containing “biometric features.”

The bill states that anyone seeking employment in the country must have the card.

The purpose of the measure, part of the legislative solution to the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program, or DACA, is to curb illegal immigration. It specifically addresses the shortcomings of the E-Verify system, which has failed to catch an estimated 54 percent of illegal immigrant workers.

Ron Paul, the former Republican lawmaker and presidential candidate known for his libertarian views, has launched a campaign against the national ID through his non-profit Campaign for Liberty, including an online petition.

Paul, writing to his supporters, declared the proposed ID card “is exactly the type of battle that often decides whether a country remains free or continues sliding toward tyranny.”

WND asked Rep. Goodlatte and his staff at the House Judiciary Committee, which he chairs, to respond to questions regarding the privacy concerns but did not receive answers.

Proponents of the measure argue workers already are required to provide a Social Security number, which is part of a national database, and emphasize the benefits of curbing illegal immigration for American workers and taxpayers and the nation’s security.

Paul fears the national database supporting the cards “could expand to include American citizens’ gun ownership status, religious beliefs, political affiliation and virtually anything else at the stroke of a President’s pen.”

The biometric identification information on the cards, Paul warns, which could include fingerprints, retinal scans, or scans of veins on the back of hands, could easily be used as a tracking device.

Paul noted that the law would require all employers to purchase an ID scanner to verify the cards, and he fears that it would be only a matter of time that ID scans would be required for routine purchases.

The national ID card, the former congressman recalls, was a key portion of the failed “comprehensive immigration reform” bills both parties tried to pass during the Obama administration.

“Now, using the momentum behind Trump’s tough talk on immigration and border security, I’m afraid the statists believe the best way to finally enact their National ID scheme is by promoting their bill on Capitol Hill as a ‘DACA fix’ while they sell it to the GOP base as a border ‘security’ measure,” he writes.

The national ID, Paul said, doesn’t target any border but instead is meant “to create an all-out police state within them.”

Alex Nowrasteh, a fellow at the libertarian CATO Institute in Washington, said in a FoxNews.com column “a national ID hurts American workers while pretending to help them,” calling a “naked government power grab” that effectively requires every American to ask government permission to get a job.

“American workers shouldn’t have to beg or plead to anybody to get permission to work,” he wrote. “Being employed should be a private agreement between an employer and employee. Period. The government should get out of the way.”

He also argued that “carrying around government papers with biometric identification on it conjures up images of a more technologically savvy Oceania or East Germany.”

He further asserted that the system would exclude millions of legal workers by accident and fail to catch the majority of illegal immigrants.

“For instance, if E-Verify were instituted nationwide 3.6 million Americans would be denied employment each year and have to visit the Social Security Administration to correct their records. The employer either fires them or delays training. Will a biometric ID card make this system better? How does that help American workers?”

He said, along with costing businesses up to $800 to buy a scanner, it “would treat every American like a criminal by requiring them to enter their most intimate and personal data into a government database.”

The biometric identification information on the cards, Paul warns, which could include fingerprints, retinal scans, or scans of veins on the back of hands, could easily be used as a tracking device.

Paul noted that the law would require all employers to purchase an ID scanner to verify the cards, and he fears that it would be only a matter of time that ID scans would be required for routine purchases.

The national ID card, the former congressman recalls, was a key portion of the failed “comprehensive immigration reform” bills both parties tried to pass during the Obama administration.

“Now, using the momentum behind Trump’s tough talk on immigration and border security, I’m afraid the statists believe the best way to finally enact their National ID scheme is by promoting their bill on Capitol Hill as a ‘DACA fix’ while they sell it to the GOP base as a border ‘security’ measure,” he writes.

The national ID, Paul said, doesn’t target any border but instead is meant “to create an all-out police state within them.”

Alex Nowrasteh, a fellow at the libertarian CATO Institute in Washington, said in a FoxNews.com column “a national ID hurts American workers while pretending to help them,” calling a “naked government power grab” that effectively requires every American to ask government permission to get a job.

“American workers shouldn’t have to beg or plead to anybody to get permission to work,” he wrote. “Being employed should be a private agreement between an employer and employee. Period. The government should get out of the way.”

He also argued that “carrying around government papers with biometric identification on it conjures up images of a more technologically savvy Oceania or East Germany.”

He further asserted that the system would exclude millions of legal workers by accident and fail to catch the majority of illegal immigrants.

“For instance, if E-Verify were instituted nationwide 3.6 million Americans would be denied employment each year and have to visit the Social Security Administration to correct their records. The employer either fires them or delays training. Will a biometric ID card make this system better? How does that help American workers?”

He said, along with costing businesses up to $800 to buy a scanner, it “would treat every American like a criminal by requiring them to enter their most intimate and personal data into a government database.”

Discrimination against Christian ideas has been handed a big reprimand by the Washington state Supreme Court.

The justices ruled Thursday a former fire captain who was fired for sending emails with religious content through his work account can sue the Spokane Valley Fire Department for damages because his First Amendment rights were violated.

Jon Sprague pointed out other employees used the same email system for a variety of other purposes, such as seeking babysitting and selling concert tickets. There also were discussions of substance abuse and conflicts with children.

But when Sprague shared thoughts from the Bible, he ended up unemployed.

The high court previously returned the case to the lower courts because of unresolved issues over the fire department’s violation of Sprague’s First Amendment rights.

Sprague sent several postings about the Spokane Christian Firefighters Fellowship and was first warned, then fired.

His firing was upheld by the department’s Civil Service Commission. The Spokane County Superior Court then dismissed the case, and the decision was upheld by the state Court of Appeals.

But the state Supreme Court pointed out Thursday that the Court of Appeals declined to address the merit of Sprague’s claims.

“Sprague has met his initial burden to show that the SVFD’s restrictions on his speech violated the First Amendment. On remand, the burden will shift to SVFD to show by preponderance of the evidence that it would have reached the same decision as to (Sprague’s) employment termination even in the absence of the protected conduct,” the court said.

Sprague could be awarded damages.

The agency’s policy requires that its communications systems be used for department business only. But Court of Appeals Judge George Fearing noted health and wellness emails sent through the system were no different than Sprague’s emails.

“To me it seems crystal clear it’s a violation of free speech rights,” said Matt Albrecht, Sprague’s lawyer. “You can’t single someone out with a different viewpoint.”
The Pacific Justice Institute filed a friend-of-the-court brief in the dispute.
Brad Dacus, president of PJI, called it “a terrific victory for Capt. Sprague, and an important reminder of First Amendment principles.”
“No employee should be terminated for speaking on otherwise-permissible topics at work, just because he has a religious perspective.

Former sports physician Larry Nassar has been sentenced to 175 years in prison for abusing more than 150 young American gymnasts.

One victim lashed out that there were no words for how much she “f—— hated’ him. The comment came as the judge allowed Nassar’s victims to give statements prior to the conclusion of the case.
But Rachael Denhollander, the first woman to publicly accuse Nassar of sexual abuse, moved another direction.
In court, she told the judge and Nassar that she prayed for him to find “grace and hope and mercy.”
“The Bible you speak carries a final judgment where all of God’s wrath and eternal terror is poured out on men like you. Should you ever reach the point of truly facing what you have done, the guilt will be crushing. And that is what makes the gospel of Christ so sweet,” she testified.
“Because it extends grace and hope and mercy where none should be found. And it will be there for you.”
She continued: “I pray you experience the soul crushing weight of guilt so you may someday experience true repentance and true forgiveness from God, which you need far more than forgiveness from me – though I extend that to you as well.”
She explained how she had hung on to the writings of C.S. Lewis, who wrote about the difficulty of knowing wrong when there is no knowledge of right.
Lewis wrote: “My argument against God was that the universe seems so cruel and unjust. But how did I get this idea of just, unjust? A man does not call a line crooked unless he first has some idea of straight. What was I comparing the universe to when I called it unjust?”

BUNDY SUES TO HAVE FEDS BOOTED FROM NEVADA LAND

Only days after a federal judge delivered a stinging rebuke to a prosecution assembled under Barack Obama’s administration over a land standoff in Nevada, many of the participants are heading back to court.
This time, rancher Cliven Bundy is seeking a judicial ruling that the federal land in Nevada on which he was grazing cattle belongs to the state of Nevada and the people of Clark County, not the U.S. government.
Former federal prosecutor Larry Klayman, who has been working through the Cliven Bundy Defense Fund, filed the complaint in the state’s Eighth Judicial District Court.
The federal government’s case against Bundy, two of his sons and militia member Ryan Payne this month disintegrated when Chief U.S. District Judge Gloria Navarro issued a scathing analysis of the government’s conduct regarding a 2014 standoff at the family’s longtime family ranch, terming it “outrageous.”
“There has been flagrant misconduct, substantial prejudice and no lesser remedy is sufficient,” she said.
The charges were dismissed with prejudice, which means the federal government will not be able to retry the men.
The same judge declared a mistrial in the case late last month, citing prosecutorial misconduct.
Now Klayman has filed a suit against the state, county, individuals and corporations arguing that while the federal government briefly held rights to the land when the territories became states, “the land was disposed of by U.S. Congress to the people of Territory of Nevada.”
He cites an 1845 Supreme Court ruling establishing that such lands were under the control of the feds “for the purposes of temporary government” and “to hold it in trust for the performance of the stipulations and conditions expressed in the deeds of cession and the legislative acts connected with them.”
Klayman told WND, “A state court judge is going to be hard pressed to rule that the land does not belong to the people of Nevada and Clark County.”
The complaint points out that “the legislature of Nevada has never consented to allow the U.S. government to own at least 85 percent of the land within Nevada’s borders; and the intent of the territorial legislature was not to cede the land to the U.S. government ‘forever,’ but to clear title of all unappropriated lands with the territory so U.S. Congress could dispose of the lands to the state.”
Further, the complaint explains, Nevada “expressly repudiated federal ownership of the subject land when it enacted a series of statutes declaring ownership of and control and jurisdiction over all ‘public lands’ within Nevada.”
It was James Madison who insisted “new states shall be admitted on the same terms with the original states.”
The complaint explains that in 1866, Congress adopted an act setting the boundaries of Nevada that “erased any possible prior claim of the United States of America to the public lands within Nevada’s borders.”
The dispute began when the U.S. government, charging Bundy owed more than $1.3 million in fees for grazing his cattle on “public” land, sent in armed agents to try to confiscate his cattle. Armed ranchers from across the nation joined him in the standoff, and the feds backed down.
They later brought a long list of charges against Bundy and his family, which were dismissed and enjoined from being re-filed.
His claim is that the people of the state own the land, not Washington.
His family owns 160 private acres and “co-owns all the unclaimed land (public land) along with all the people of Nevada and Clark County equally.”
Bundys have ranched there for nearly 150 years.
He’s seeking a declaratory judgment against the federal government.

WASHINGTON – Tnuza Jamal Hassan, 19, who is a former student at St. Catherine University in St. Paul, Minnesota, says she was angry over American military “crimes.”

So, Hassan, who had expressed radical Islamist ideas to her roommates while in school, police say, went on a two-and-half-hour arson spree at the campus she had recently left, reportedly to travel with her family to Ethiopia.

She reportedly set eight fires across the campus.

“You guys are lucky that I don’t know how to build a bomb because I would have done that,” she told police.

Hassan is one of many suspects and convicts of what might be called “soft terrorist” acts in the U.S. They don’t get much attention because their crimes don’t rise to the level of mass murder, shooting attacks and bombings. They don’t grab national headlines. Yet, the growing frequency of these acts of violence suggest an underlying Muslim rage much more widespread than the spectacular attacks that do.

No one was hurt in the fires, however one of the fires was set in a building that housed a daycare center. Thirty-three children, eight adults and 10-15 students were evacuated from that building, as a result of Hassan’s suspected first-degree arson attacks.

Court documents in the case say: “Hassan said she started the fires because she’s been reading about the U.S. military destroying schools in Iraq and Afghanistan and she felt that she should do exactly the same thing. She said that her fire-starting was not as successful as she had wanted. She said the most successful fire she set was at Saint Mary’s [residence hall] where she set a couch on fire.”

Hassan appeared at her bail hearing with an improvised burqa consisting of a black covering over her face, exposing only her eyes, and a large white sheet draped over her head and the orange jail jumpsuit she was required to wear.
