Thursday, January 8, 2015 Breaking News Headline: Where was Jesus in the Paris Shootings Wednesday? Gunmen attacked Charlie Hebdo newspaper in Paris, France, Jan. 7, 2015. (Photo courtesy Morguefile.com) I%27m interrupting the series of blog posts I had planned in order to talk about Wednesday%27s terrorist shooting in Paris. In my previous post I said the next four posts would be about the coming solar and lunar eclipses and the Shemitah. However I also said: Certainly we%27ll witness many unpredictable events also [in 2015]. And as the unforeseeable unfolds in the coming months, we will explore them right here in the light of Bible prophecy. That%27s what this blog is all about. This morning I woke up to a couple of Tweet messages directed to me personally. (Tweet that!) This Tweeter, I%27ll call him "Al," sent me these two Tweets: Al: @DianneEButts Where was Jesus in Paris this morning? Al:@DianneEButts It appears as though even God is afraid of Islam. Well to answer the first question, Jesus was there. I know He was there, because He is God, come in human flesh. The Ever Present One. The All Knowing. The All Powerful. Jesus is not "a prophet" like some claim. He has no equal. He is the one true God. Muhammad is not His prophet. But if Jesus is the one true God, present everywhere, knowing everything even before it happens, the all powerful able to do anything, then that begs the question this Tweet-er was truly asking: Then why didn%27t God do something? What would you want Him to do? My guess is your answer is, "Stop it!" Better yet, why doesn%27t God wipe out all evil? Well the answer is because then He would have to wipe out all of us. Because we all have evil living inside of us. We do evil things. Every one of us. In varying degrees of evil. This is called sin. Every one of us has sinned against God. If He were to wipe out evil, He%27d have to wipe us all out. I know what you%27re thinking: "Anything I have done is not anywhere near the evil these terrorist gunman have done!" Maybe not, by our standards. Human have varying degrees of wrong-doing, and rightly so. The legal penalty for murder is much harsher than for stealing a candy bar. But in God%27s sight, sin is sin. And all sin is deserving of the death penalty. You may think that anything you (or I) have done is not as bad as what these (or any) terrorists have done. But then we have to ask, compared to what? Or more precisely, compared to Whom? Compared to Jesus (who was without sin), even our smallest sin colors our lives completely black and deserving of death. So, you see, we%27re all in a heap of trouble with God. But then Jesus stepped into the world and He took that death penalty for sin for every single person of all time who willingly accepts that gift from Him. (Tweet that!) Will you? Have you? If not, do so now. That is our only hope, the only way into heaven. But that still leaves us with the problem of evil on earth, and the desperate heartache of the results of evil, such as these murdered loved ones in Paris. Believe me, my heart breaks for them. I have a special place in my heart for law enforcement officers because I have some in my family. Seeing that police man beg for his life and be shot... Words can%27t express. I pray for his family. And for all the families of the dead. It appears as though even God is afraid of Islam. Yes, it may appear so. But things are not as they appear. God -- that is, the One True God Who made the heavens and earth -- is not afraid of Islam. Islam does NOT represent the One True God. And there is coming a day when this God, the only God, will put a stop to all of this evil. He will finally deal with every person on earth and He will separate those who have accepted His gift of salvation from all those who refuse. Personally, I don%27t think that day is far off. That%27s why I write this blog. To reach those who will believe in Jesus. Because I truly believe that day of reckoning is coming, and coming sooner than most people believe. (Tweet that!) It%27s not a thousand years away. It%27s not even a hundred years away. I believe it is here. Now. Knocking on the door. We%27re almost out of time. In the mean time, Islam and terrorism and violence and lies about the true God and war and rumors of war will continue to escalate. Why is God waiting? He%27s waiting for the final ones to respond to Him. Is He waiting for you? The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9, NIV). Words of Jesus: "All this I have told you so that you will not fall away. They will put you out of the synagogue; in fact, the time is coming when anyone who kills you will think they are offering a service to God. They will do such things because they have not known the Father or me. I have told you this, so that when their time comes you will remember that I warned you about them" (John 16:1-4, NIV). Dear America: A Letter of Comfort & Hope to a Grieving Nation I came to my conclusions about Jesus through my own experiences of losing loved ones. I told my story in my first book, Dear America. I'm interrupting the series of blog posts I had planned in order to talk about Wednesday's terrorist shooting in Paris. In my previous post I said the next four posts would be about the coming solar and lunar eclipses and the Shemitah. However I also said:
Certainly we'll witness many unpredictable events also [in 2015]. And as the unforeseeable unfolds in the coming months, we will explore them right here in the light of Bible prophecy. That's what this blog is all about.
This morning I woke up to a couple of Tweet messages directed to me personally. (Tweet that!) This Tweeter, I'll call him "Al," sent me these two Tweets:

Al:@DianneEButts It appears as though even God is afraid of Islam.
Well to answer the first question, Jesus was there. I know He was there, because He is God, come in human flesh. The Ever Present One. The All Knowing. The All Powerful.
Jesus is not "a prophet" like some claim. He has no equal. He is the one true God. Muhammad is not His prophet.
