Keep Walking

Keep Walking
 
Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.
Hebrews 11:1
 
We walk by faith, not by sight.

So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18
 
It was now black as coal in that office, not a shred of light. There had been a couple lights on outside when I’d come in, enough to get to the computer for a few minutes.

Leaving the room was slow and tedious, hands extended out in front of me feeling into space, waiting to touch the door frame. Taking tiny steps, cautiously to avoid tripping on books and things strewn on the floor, I inched my way forward.

I was really glad to make it out of the office and get to the room flooded with light. Yes! Walking in the dark is not fun.

There have been other times in my life when I felt like I was so walking in the dark. Have you ever been there? Don’t know which direction to take, not sure which decision to make. It can be difficult, even painful.

Seasons like this we can just put one foot in front of the other, testing the waters. It is always darkest before the dawn. Even when it’s pitch dark, keep walking; there will be the dawn, and light. 

Even in the dark, we can keep walking; we are not alone. That is good news.

          I have come into the world as a light, so that no one who believes in me should stay in darkness.  …..John 12:46
