London Mayor Called Tel Aviv for Counter-Terrorism Advice Following Attacks

Signaling Israel’s international prominence in the field, London Mayor Sadiq Khan sought advice from Tel Aviv in combating urban terrorism and extremism following the recent terror attacks in Manchester and London Bridge, Jewish News reported.

Khan, who is Muslim, told Jewish News that his office, as well as the head of national counter-terrorism policing, Mark Rowley, had been in touch with Israeli officials over the best methods of preventing and combating acts of terror in urban or civilian settings.

He said they had learned “lots of things, things like putting in place the barriers we have done in London. There are other things and we are using the advice we receive.”

Israel regularly installs large concrete barriers in front of bus stops and other gathering spots for pedestrians in order to stop car-ramming attacks.

“Just like the terrorists evolve, we have to find new ways to protect ourselves,” said Khan, who added that in addition to regular contact with their Israeli counterparts, British police visit Israel as well.

England has not only received assistance from Israel in security but in disaster relief and recovery. Following last month’s devastating suicide bombing attack during an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, in which 22 people were killed, Israeli trauma experts flew to the city to offer their expert aid in counseling terror victims. They also trained dozens of British mental health professionals in providing trauma care.

According to a new report, Sadidiq Khan, the Mayor of London, may be too closely tied to extremist groups to have any real desire or ability to fight terrorism.

Disobedient Media reported: In 2016, Prime Minister David Cameron was widely criticized in the UK when he claimed that London mayor Sadiq Khan had ties to the terror group ISIS. An investigation by Disobedient Media has determined that Khan has ties not just to organizations associated with ISIS, but also groups such as Hamas, Al-Nusra, Al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood. During his time as mayor, London has seen an increase in terror incidents with concerning indications that terror groups wish to stage a major attack on the City of London. Rather than focusing on combatting terror, Khan has used his forum to tell Londoners as well as citizens in other parts of Europe and the United States that the West must learn to live with terrorism as a part of daily life. Khan’s extreme flirtation with radical Islamic extremism raises serious questions about his commitment to fighting a wave of extremist fueled terrorism that only continues to spread after a number of attacks and police operations in London and other areas of the UK.

I. Khan Has Been Affiliated With Organizations Tied To Hamas, Al-Qaeda, Al Nusra, ISIS And The Muslim Brotherhood
A. Khan’s Relationship To Figures Tied To Hamas And The Muslim Brotherhood

Khan has openly associated in the past with individuals and organizations tied to Palestinian terror group Hamas. During his time as a legal advocate, Sadiq Khan served as the Chief Legal Advisor of the Muslim Council of Britain’s legal affairs committee. Khan was a member of a delegation organized by the Muslim Council of Britain in 2003 to protest what they described as “indiscriminate” arrests of Muslims for alleged terror ties. The Muslim Council of Britain was placed under investigation by the British government over “irregularities” surrounding £1,263,000 in aid given to it by the government. In the past it has admitted to funding groups tied to both Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad and is banned from Israel as a result of its ties to terror. On September 19th, 2004, Khan spoke at an event which included Ibrahim Hewitt; Hewitt has decreed on record that adultery should be punished by stoning. Hewitt serves as the Chairman of The Palestinian Relief and Development Fund (Interpal), an organization which has been labeled as a Terrorist Entity by the United States Department of the Treasury for providing support to Hamas and acting as a part of its funding network in Europe. Despite the US Treasury’s designation, Labour Party Leader Jeremy Corbyn has described Hewitt as a “very good friend.”

That same year, Khan spoke out in defense of Qatar-based Egyptian cleric Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, who has praised suicide attacks and decreed that homosexuality is a crime under Islam. Qaradawi has travelled directly to Gaza for the purpose of providing Hamas with ideological legitimacy and stated that Palestinian suicide attacks against the nation of Israel are justified. Qaradawi was also barred from entering into the United States in 1999, the UK in 2008, and France in 2012. In 2007, Khan and Jeremy Corbyn were present at a tenth anniversary celebration of the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC). The PRC is accused by the Israeli government of being affiliated with Hamas and had invited Hamas Minister of Refugee Affairs Atef Ibrahim Adwan to speak at the same event the year before.

B. Khan Supported Convicted Taliban Sympathizers

In 2009, Khan acted as a member of an international campaign which sought to resist attempts to extradite Babar Ahmad and Syed Talha Ahsan for their role in providing material support to the Taliban and Chechen jihadist groups via a number of websites they ran under the name of Azzam Publications. Ahmad and Ahsan were ultimately extradited to the United States, where they pled guilty to terrorism charges.

British Prime Minister Theresa May, speaking Sunday after a meeting of the government’s COBRA emergency committee, claimed there was “too much tolerance” of Islamist

extremism in the U.K. and insisted that the country’s counterterrorism strategy would be reviewed. While such reviews remain in preliminary stages, a British intelligence source told Fox News that it is an “all hands at the pump” approach, with Joint Intelligence Operations to be carried out collaboratively with M15, Scotland Yard and the Army’s Special Air Service (SAS) all involved.

While such reviews remain in preliminary stages, a British intelligence source told Fox News that it is an “all hands at the pump” approach, with Joint Intelligence Operations to be carried out collaboratively with M15, Scotland Yard and the Army’s Special Air Service (SAS) all involved.

The points of focus include: recruiting and deploying even more counterterrorism officers, and pushing through new laws to “round up” suspected terrorists and, if convicted, stripping them of their citizenship as a deterrent.

“There is also early talk that things could go as far as banning the burka,” the source said.

The burka debate has, for more than a decade, divided much of the British community. In 2006, MP and government minister Jack Straw first advocated support for such a prohibition in the media, but several years later apologized following the backlash. Nearby European countries such as France, Austria, Germany and Belgium have, over the years, implemented different degrees of legislation to restrict the wearing of full-face veils.

“It is just whispers at the moment, but if that goes live, one would guess that it will be enforced across the U.K.,” the source noted.
Furthermore, the U.K. government is said to be planning how to dismantle the pockets of extremism and enforce better mechanism for community integration.

“There are a lot of Muslim strongholds in the U.K. from London and Luton to Birmingham, Burnley and Blackburn,” added the intel source. “Right now, through weak policies, we have allowed the fundamentalists to spoil it for the majority.”

British authorities also are said to be looking at ways to “force large Internet companies to ban extremist material on their search engines and additionally report any content that they find.”

In her address Sunday, May vowed that the Internet could no longer function as a “safe space” for jihadism. Another intelligence source confirmed that May’s focus is very much on the role of the Internet – restricting and monitoring – in the quest to infiltrate where cells congregate and how they communicate.

Seven people died and 48 were wounded – several critically – when three masked assailants plunged a van into pedestrians on London Bridge. The attackers, also donning fake suicide vests, then embarked on an on-foot stabbing spree at a nearby bar and were quickly shot dead by police. Tony Schiena, founder and CEO of Multi Operational Security Agency who has been in contact with officials, told Fox News that the vests were “stab proof,” but not even bullet proof.

Authorities announced Sunday that raids were under way and that 12 individuals had been arrested in connection with the latest attacks. Saturday’s assault marks the third to have taken place in the U.K. in 2017 alone.

On May 22, a British suicide bomber slaughtered 22 people – including children – and injured dozens more after an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester. In March, a British convert to Islam killed four when he rammed his vehicle into people on Westminster Bridge, and then fatally stabbed a police officer outside Parliament.

The British Embassy in Washington, as well as a spokesperson for May, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan said terrorism is just “part and parcel of living in a major city.” Except if you live in Tokyo, Budapest, Prague, Warsaw or any other big city without a huge Muslim population. Greater Muslim population - greater terror problem. Fact. We cannot go on like this.
After three Islamic terrorists carried out an attack on innocent civilians on London Bridge and at nearby Borough Market, killing seven and wounding 48, British leaders and the media ignored the fact that the terrorists, in their own words according to witnesses, murdered “for Allah” and “for Islam.”

This horrific tragedy is not an isolated incident. Rather, it is part of a larger effort by radical Muslims to subjugate the British people through acts of terror carried out in the name of Islam.

To defeat this devastating reality, UK leaders, as well as leaders of all Western countries, must review their immigration policy and take decisive action to stop terrorists at the border – before they can enter the country and carry out terror attacks at will.

DEVELOPING: London Under Attack at ‘FIVE’ locations in the Capital

Jihadi terrorists shouting ‘this is for Allah’ have reportedly killed seven people after stabbing revellers with 12-inch hunting knives after mowing down up to 20 people with a white van on London Bridge.  The men, described as being ‘of Mediterranean origin’, reportedly drove the van at 50mph across the bridge, then jumped out and began ‘randomly stabbing people’ along Borough High Street in central London at 10pm.

One woman said she saw three people with what appeared to be their throats cut at London Bridge amid reports that at least seven people have been stabbed, leaving bodies ‘strewn’ on the road in central London.   One person has been killed at London Bridge – and one of the casualties is reportedly a police officer.    ‘Rapid gunfire’ was heard in the London Bridge area as armed police are thought to have shot dead two of the men, with a search underway for the third man.
