A fascinating documentary by Ilan Ziv about the Israeli-Arab Six days war in 1967.
It shows the complexity of risks and political pressures (both local and international) that Prime minister Levy Eshkol had to face with eventually leading to his decision to set out a campaign against a coalition of Arab enemies.
A war that ended in shattering Nazer's dream of a unified secular pan-Arab empire on the ruins of Israel.
Israel's complete victory was a double edge sword. On one hand it cemented our security that another holocaust will not repeat itself but on the other hand it created the smugness that led to the disastrous cost of the following 1973 war.
