COINCIDENCE
 
I don't believe in coincidence. I haven't for a long time now. As I look back at all the trials, changes, and moments that have steered my life, I can't believe that they were all just coincidence. Too many times something has put me on a different path,  Too many times a triumph or tragedy has helped to shape my soul. Too many times an unexpected event has moved me to grow into who I was meant to be. Far too much has happened for me to believe that anything other than the Loving Hand of God was responsible.
 
I got a letter in the mail today. It was from someone I didn't know who recently been sent a story that I wrote over ten years ago. That story had floated around the internet landing on different sites and being read on different computers. Finally, one person who saw it thought that it might appeal to a friend of his. His friend had no computer, so he copied it out on his printer and mailed it to him. At that moment his friend was in a crisis that no one else knew about. He was questioning himself, God, and even if life was worth living.
 
Just at the right moment the letter arrived in his mailbox. He opened it up and saw the copy of my story. He read it and it spoke to his soul. He realized again that God loved him and that life was worth living. Then he sat down and wrote to his friend and to me. As I was reading his letter, I could take no credit for helping him. God had given me those ideas and the words to share them over a decade ago   God had kept those words alive online. God had moved someone to share them at just the right time
to change his friend's life.
 
Now some people may say that this was all coincidence, but I know better. This and things like it happen every day to all of us. We are all connected. We are all part of a Divine, Loving Tapestry. Coincidence?  There is no such thing.
