House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has justified her new Climate Crisis Committee in tweets by citing a “moral responsibility to protect God’s creation.” But one former Trump administration official wasn’t having it.

“Does God’s creation not include protecting babies as well Madame Speaker?” asked Nikki Haley, the former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations. Haley’s comments come amid heightened calls from Democrats in several states for the legalization of late-term and partial birth abortion.

Tone-deaf religious appeal
There is no doubt that much of President Donald Trump’s success has come from his appeal to the Judeo-Christian values upon which America was built — but the same can’t be said for the House speaker, who tweeted on Thursday:

Pelosi’s Climate Crisis Committee was created just as Democrats are trying not to lose ground in the intraparty battle that is currently being won by adherents of Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (D-NY) Green New Deal, which calls for the elimination of air travel and “economic security for all who are unable or unwilling to work.”
 Indeed, while the group reportedly doesn’t even have a place to meet — or any members who are Republican — committee members like Florida Rep. Kathy Castor are insisting that Dems are unified behind their fight against climate change.

“The Democratic caucus is unified under the belief we have to take bold action on the climate crisis,” Castor told the Associated Press. “My job and the committee’s job is to take the general concepts [of the Green New Deal] and turn them into a real policy framework and legislative language and eventually law.”
Haley exposes Pelosi
Castor went on to reiterate Pelosi’s claim that combating alleged global warming is a “moral obligation” for Congress.

But it didn’t take long for Nikki Haley to call out the Dems’ hypocrisy over morality.

Senators who condemned Kavanaugh are staying silent on Fairfax accusations

The double standard remains alive and well in the Democrat party.

While openly convicting Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct without a shred of evidence, Democrats refuse to even acknowledge the accusations leveled against Virginia’s Democrat Lt. Gov. Justin Fairfax.

The Hypocrite Oath
It would appear as though to be an elected official for Democrats these days, you must be a complete hypocrite as well.

The #MeToo movement started as a way to take down conservatives, specifically Donald Trump and even more so, Justice Kavanaugh. When the accusations against Kavanaugh were made, those that knew Kavanaugh thought them to be ludicrous.

However, Republicans in office agreed these women needed to be heard. When they were all granted a chance to present their case, not one of them presented a story that could be corroborated in any way.

Furthermore, some of the stories were proven to be flat-out false. Democrats hung their hats on Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony, stating she was credible, therefore they believed her.

Again, though, she could not produce one actual fact that could back up her allegations. None of that mattered, though, as Democrats wanted Kavanaugh gone.

Fairfax Allegations
While people like Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton were extremely vocal about Kavanaugh, they are eerily silent when it comes to Fairfax. On the surface, both of the women making allegations are just as, if not more “credible” than the women making allegations against Kavanaugh.

Vanessa Tyson is a college professor, much like Blasey Ford, who says Fairfax forced her to perform oral sex on him more than a decade ago. Meredith Watson is alleging Fairfax raped her when they were both attending Duke University.

Wilson actually backs up her claim by the fact she told a classmate at that time she had been raped by Fairfax.

When asked about the allegations, most Democrats ran from the camera. Senator Feinstein stated, “I don’t know Justin Fairfax.” Well, she didn’t know Kavanaugh either, but that did not stop her from believing his accusers.

Senator Doug Jones said the two cases were not comparable. Senator Ron Wyden said he never heard of Justin Fairfax until the story broke. Senator Bernie Sanders literally ran away from the camera, refusing to answer any questions at all.

As we stated when Kavanaugh was being accused, every man deserves his day in court when faced with allegations such as this. That being the case, Democrats should be just as adamant about the FBI investigating these accusations as they were about the agency looking into the accusations made against Kavanaugh.

After all, if he is innocent, what do they have to fear, right?

Democrats are the masters of the double standard, which has once again been demonstrated by their handling of the recent scandals in Virginia.
In a press conference on Thursday, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) was asked whether what is going on in Virginia is hurting the national Democratic brand. “No it doesn’t,” she adamantly responded.  

“Virginians will resolve their issues that they have there,” she continued. “It’s sad because they have some very talented leaders there, but they have to have the confidence of the electorate, and they have to have the confidence of the legislature that they have to work with.”

Huh? What about the Democrats’ pledge to fight racism? What about the #MeToo movement?
Virginia Scandals Rewind
The series of events got underway after the surfacing of a medical school yearbook photo in which Virginia Governor Ralph Northam (D) can allegedly be seen wearing either a KKK or a blackface costume. Northam initially admitted to being in the photo and apologized, before going on to claim that he was not in the photo — although he did admit to having at one time put black shoe polish on his face to look like Michael Jackson for a dance contest.

As expected, considering today’s political climate, politicians of all persuasions, including new and old Democrats, condemned the photo and demanded Northam’s resignation. But, how the tone of the Democrats would change during the ensuing events!

Next up, Northam was joined by Attorney General Mark Herring (D). Despite the backlash that Northam was facing, Herring revealed that he, too, wore blackface when he was a college student at the University of Virginia. With two top Democrats now implicated, national Democratic leaders began to backpedal.

Then, Lieutenant Governor Justice Fairfax (D) was accused by a California professor of sexual assault, specifically of having forced her to perform oral sex during the 2004 Democratic National Convention.

At this point, national Democrats for the most part have removed themselves from the situation in Virginia, refusing to answer questions about it and, in some instances, choosing to play dumb. And Pelosi, for her part, insists that the Democratic Party will not be harmed by the scandals.
Why the sudden silence?
Fighting racism, sexism and sexual violence are major political issues for the Democrats these days. But the Virginia situation leaves them in a tight spot.
So, what were the Democrats to do? Call for the resignation of three top Democratic officials in Virginia, as their previous moral stances would require of them, and hand the governorship to the GOP? Or ignore the scandals? Of course, they’re choosing the latter, effectively saying that they can afford to ignore racism and sexual assault when the violators are of their own.

It goes to show that Democrats don’t care nearly as much about “morals” as they do political power.
