A Dream of Heaven

Last night I dreamed I went to heaven and walked down streets of gold. I stopped at the throne to praise Jesus and meet the saints of old.

I asked an angel if you had been seen and did you make it in. He said this is a Holy Place; here there is no sin.

We walked along the mansions and by the crystal sea.
I was looking everywhere for you; I knew you'd be looking for me.
I ran through the fields of clover and stopped to rest under a tree, when an angel took me by the hand and said follow me.
We walked along the walls of Jasper. There was beauty beyond compare.
But, I couldn't find you. Why weren't you there?
I looked over the door of a mansion but saw only an empty space. I looked at the angel and saw a saddened face.
This one is finished but never will be filled. The person chose to serve the one who destroyed, stole and killed.
Oh, they planned to get right but never made it in. They fell by the wayside because they wouldn't deny sin.
Tears filled my eyes and I began to cry. I knew we would be separated for eternity and sin was the reason why.
