WHY SATAN HATES ISRAEL

🪽THE ETERNAL PAST

It is vital to understand that Satan HATES GOD, hates HIS AUTHORITY, hates HIS GLORY and that HE HIMSELF WANTS TO BE WORSHIPPED AS GOD. He led a massive rebellion among the angels in heaven (as Lucifer, a high-ranking angel) in an attempt to dethrone God and usurp His authority. 

IN THE GARDEN OF EDEN

After he was defeated, exiled from Heaven, and cast down to Earth, Satan’s foul hatred towards God was now directed at man (Adam), for he was created in God’s own glorious image, and given authority to rule over the Earth. Satan succeeded in corrupting all humanity by enticing Adam to sin against God. But God had already planned to bring forth (through Adam’s own race) a Redeemer who would ultimately crush the ancient head of the Serpent. 

ONE MAN, ONE NATION

As God’s plan unfolded, He called a man named Abram (later Abraham) and promised him that he would make of his descendants a great nation; namely, ISRAEL. God chose this nation out of all the peoples of the Earth to be His “treasured possession.” 

God’s sovereign purpose for Israel was to make them the human channel through which the promised Messiah would come…a Deliverer who would vanquish Satan’s rule and reestablish God’s rule over ALL His creation. Now an entire nation was in the devil’s crosshairs. 

OVER THE AGES 

For thousands of years Satan relentlessly stirred up hatred towards Israel, attempting to annihilate them… and thus destroy all hope of the coming of the Promised One. 

Satan ruthlessly sought to wipe out Israel through Pharaoh, Haman, Antiochus IV, Herod and Hitler; through the Babylonians, the Persians, the Assyrians, the Egyptians, the Hittites, and the Nazis. 

But in spite of every evil attempt to thwart God’s plan — God’s long-awaited promised Messiah — the King of Israel — did come. He accomplished man’s redemption through God’s chosen nation. 

THIS PRESENT DAY — AND LOOKING AHEAD PROPHETICALLY

SATAN HAS NOT LET UP ON HIS HATRED TOWARDS ISRAEL. The Savior has come, so why is Satan still stirring up antisemitism? Because God is not through with Israel yet. 

According to prophecy, God’s KINGDOM will be established through Israel — regathered, restored, and converted Israel. Though the Jews rejected their Messiah at His first coming, the generation of Israel who will survive the coming 7 year Tribulation will embrace Christ as their Messiah. GREAT BLESSING ultimately awaits the earthly people of God. Satan will stop at nothing to foil that which brings glory to Christ and redemption blessedness to the nation of Israel. 

In the end, Christ — the King of kings and the Lord of lords — will cast down fire from Heaven, and Satan will be eternally banished to the lake of fire to be tormented day and night forever and ever. 

Believers, for the time we have remaining on the earth, we can expect Satan to unrelentingly incite immense hatred against Israel, and he will in fact bring ALL nations against her, intent on her destruction (as prophesied). Yet we are assured by the promise of God — that His beloved Israel will never cease being a nation. Her most glorious days are yet ahead. (Jeremiah 31:35-37)
