The IDF reported today that it uncovered another major Hamas tunnel network in southern Gaza’s Khan Yunis. The tunnel is believed to have been used by the terror group’s senior officials.
Troops of the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit and additional forces under the 98th Division entered the underground passages, where they encountered several blast doors and other blockages set up by Hamas operatives, the IDF says.
The IDF said in its report that the troops breached the barricades and identified Hamas gunmen in the tunnel, who were then killed in close-quarters combat and with other “special means.”

The tunnel — more than a kilometer long — included living quarters, as well as water and electricity infrastructure. It estimates that Hamas invested millions of shekels in its construction.

“This tunnel is part of a strategic and branching underground network located below Khan Yunis, which was used by senior Hamas officials and the Khan Younis Brigade for hiding and combat,” the IDF said.

The IDF released footage today showing a cache of weapons found by the Paratroopers Brigade in southern Gaza’s Khan Yunis, in a building adjacent to a United Nations school
If that wasn’t bad enough, the IDF explains in the video that Hamas operatives would hide in the UN school that was being used as a shelter for Gazan “civilians”, and sneak into the adjacent building by way of a hole in the wall to grab weapons to attack Israeli troops.

In another nearby building, the troops found even more firearms, ammunition, and military equipment.
The UN has been virulently anti-Israel for decades. Its daughter organization, UNRWA was coopted by Hamas and other Jihadist Nazis years ago. The Israeli government is pushing forward with its goal to completely dismantle UNRWA and remove it from all areas of the Land of Israel. UNRWA’s ideology of hate and promotion of genocide within the “palestinian” population renders it equivalent to a terrorist organization. 

Will the Netanyahu government finally declare UNRWA terrorists, which would make its leadership terrorists. This would mean as far as Israel is concerned, the UN is actively harboring terrorists. What’s interesting – Qatar is doing the same thing – is there really a difference?

The person responsible for shaping Turkey’s foreign policy in the Middle East in the office of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been revealed to have called for the destruction of Israel, as uncovered by a Nordic Monitor investigation.

Sefer Turan, a 62-year-old pro-Iranian Islamist and a chief advisor to the Turkish president, has openly denied Israel’s right to exist, stating, “We must consistently and at every opportunity inform the public that there is no such state called Israel.”

Turan’s remarks were made in June 1997 during a panel discussion concerning the closure of the Palestine Solidarity and Friendship Association (Filistin Dayanışma ve Dostluk Derneği, FDD) by Turkish authorities. The FDD was identified as a front organization sponsored by the Iranian mullah regime in Turkey, aimed at channeling funds to armed Palestinian jihadist groups, organizing rallies against Israel and promoting antisemitism in Turkey.

Turan, one of the architects of the FDD, vehemently criticized the government’s decision to shut down the organization. He also condemned the peace initiatives launched in Madrid in 1991 that aimed to foster peace between Israel and Palestine, along with several Arab nations. The Madrid conference, co-sponsored by the US and the Soviet Union, eventually resulted in the signing of the Oslo I Accord in 1993 and the peace treaty between Jordan and Israel in 1994.

“We must openly reveal our identity and, if necessary, endure the risks,” Turan emphasized, further stating, “Nothing ends with the closure of the FDD.”

The driving force behind the creation of the FDD was a propaganda magazine named Yörünge, which received funding from the Iranian regime and was operated by pro-Iranian Turkish Islamists. Some members of this group had undergone training by Iranian intelligence in handling arms and explosives. Turkish authorities took action against the magazine, shutting it down and initiating criminal investigations and indictments against its staff.

The application for the establishment of the FDD was initially approved on July 1, 1995, during a preliminary process and later endorsed by the Interior Ministry in November 1995. However, a month after approval, the ministry requested that the FDD halt its operations until the Cabinet reviewed the application, citing concerns regarding the mention of international operations in the founding charter, which fell under the discretion of the Cabinet. On May 7, 1997 the government officially notified the FDD of its closure.

The FDD board members included Ahmet Varol, Remzi Çayır, Rıdvan Kaya, Nurettin Şirin, Fikret Özdemir and Ahmet Ağırakça, several of whom had longstanding ties with the Iranian Islamist Revolutionary Guards Corps Quds Force.

In fact, both Turan, working as chief aide to Erdogan at the time, and Şirin were suspects in a confidential investigation into the Quds Force network between 2011 and 2014. During this period their phones were tapped under court order as investigators sought to uncover an Iranian intelligence network in Turkey. The investigation aimed to determine any plots targeting Israeli, Jewish and Western interests in Turkey.

In February 2014 Erdogan intervened and halted the Quds Force investigation before prosecutors could bring charges and indict the suspects, including Turan, effectively sparing his aide from criminal prosecution and facilitating the escape of Iranian spies from Turkey.

Turan’s dedication to the destruction of Israel was further evidenced during an event hosted on March 11, 1994 by the Iranian Consulate General in Istanbul. At this gathering he praised Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and echoed the call to eradicate Israel from the face of the earth.

At the time Turan was the managing editor of a weekly propaganda newspaper called Selam, a mouthpiece for the Iranian mullah regime that was also financed by Iranian intelligence. Selam was later shut down as part of a counterterrorism crackdown on IRGC Quds Force cells in Turkey with operatives indicted, tried and convicted in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

In his speech at the Iranian Consulate, Turan also criticized Arab governments, alleging that they hindered the success of armed resistance movements against Israel. “Whenever the armed Islamic Resistance Movement [Hamas] approached victory in Palestine, it was confronted by puppet Arab regimes,” he said.

Turan gave the 1994 Gaza–Jericho Agreement, also known as the Cairo Agreement, between the late Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat and then-Israeli prime minister Yitzhak Rabin as an example. He pointed out that the deal was aimed at preventing an Intifadah (Palestinian uprising).

Articles published by Turan in the 1990s also indicate his strong support for the Egyptian Islamic Jihad, which was listed by the United Nations Security Council as an al-Qaeda-affiliated group during that period.

In a series of articles primarily featured in pro-Iran publications in Turkey during the 1990s, Turan staunchly defended the terrorist group, justifying the killings of civilians and government officials in Egypt. He also criticized those who labeled the Islamic Jihad as a terrorist organization and who condemned the acts of violence perpetrated by its members.

Turan has served as an advisor to Erdogan since May 2011. While rumors circulated last year suggesting his dismissal, Turan denied these claims. He continues to accompany President Erdogan during meetings with foreign leaders, particularly from the Middle East and North Africa regions.

Videos shared by the office of the Turkish president show him attending a meeting between President Erdogan and visiting Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives Aguila Saleh in Ankara on December 13, 2023. Additionally, he was present at a private meeting held by Erdogan and Egyptian President el-Sisi on September 10, 2023, on the sidelines of the G20 summit in India.

The Erdogan government openly supports Hamas in conflicts with Israel, providing funding and hosting Hamas officials in Turkey. It grants citizenship and logistical assistance to Hamas militants. Furthermore, it facilitates the circumvention of US sanctions on Iran, a country President Erdogan has referred to as his second home.

India has reportedly delivered 20 Hermes 900 drones to Israel. Although this would normally not be seen as significant, India’s arms deliveries to Israel may be increasing as the Biden administration threatens to cut supplies due to its disagreement with Israel on the latter’s war against Hamas in Gaza.

Israel and India have continued to grow closer in recent years. Trade has increased as well as defense cooperation between the two countries. India is considered an up and coming world power who see its relationship with Israel as a cornerstone of its future development.

As Israel works to develop its defense self sufficiency, India’s own defense industry may be looked at as a back up to America’s. While India cannot supply everything America does, its willingness to partner with Israel right now is a clear message that it views Israel as an invaluable ally against its own problems with Islamic extremism.

India has seen its own tensions rise with Iran as the Ayatollahs have attacked international shipping in the Indian ocean. India has also be viewed as a critical player and partner in pushing back against China’s expansion. Iran, China, and Russia have now formed a defense alliance, pushing India even further towards Israel.

IDF: Soldiers Protected Hostages with Their Bodies, Came Under Heavy Fire
Israeli special forces rescued two hostages from Hamas early on Monday morning, February 12, in the heart of the southern Gaza city of Rafah. The operation freeing the two hostages from Nir Yitzhak, Luis Har and Fernando Marman started with dozens of airstrikes against Hamas’s Shabura battalion, so Hamas would not understand the true goal of rescuing the two.

The freed hostages were taken to Sheba Medical Center, which stated that after an initial medical examination, the condition of the two was defined as good and stable. However, the two hostages later reported that they had not received medical care while in captivity and had been starved by the terrorists.

Their families said that they suffered from malnutrition, unhygienic conditions, and lack of medical care. The latter was particularly significant for Har, who requires medications to treat his blood pressure and diabetes.

“This was a complex rescue operation under fire in the heart of Rafah, based on highly sensitive and valuable intelligence from the Intelligence Directorate and the Israel Security Agency,” said IDF Spokesperson Rr.-Adm. Daniel Hagari. “From the moment of the breach and entry into the apartment, Yamam forces shielded Luis and Fernando with their bodies, initiating a daring battle and heavy exchanges of fire,” he added.

“By 01:50, aerial fire was activated by the Israeli Air Force and Southern Command, to enable the force’s disengagement and to strike Hamas terrorists in the area,” Hagari stated. Meanwhile, Hamas doesn’t acknowledge the rescue of the hostages.

In the statement published by Hamas on Monday, there is no mention of the rescue, only the losses on the Palestinian side: “The Nazi occupation army’s attack on the city of Rafah last night, and its horrific massacres against defenseless civilians and helpless children, women, and elderly who have so far lost their lives over a hundred times, is considered a continuation of the people’s genocide and forced displacement attempts... being carried out against our Palestinian people.” (JPost / VFI News)

An IDF soldier has been gravely injured in a terror attack involving a vehicle ramming and an axe-wielding terrorist near the Navy base. He says that troops were operating in an area around 600 meters from the border, destroying structures and Hamas sites, as part of the army’s efforts to establish a buffer zone to allow residents of Israeli border communities to return to their homes.

“As far as we know, at around 4 p.m., an RPG was fired by terrorists at a tank securing the forces, and simultaneously, an explosion occurred at two two-story buildings. The buildings collapsed due to this explosion, while most of the forces were inside and near them,” he says.

Hagari says the explosion was likely a result of mines planted by troops to demolish the buildings, but the cause of the detonation was still under investigation.
For several hours rescue forces worked to extract the casualties from the collapsed buildings.

Hezbollah Strikes Back After Killing Of Hamas Leader
