Eye for an eye, evil for evil

1 Peter 3:9Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but
contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye
should inherit a blessing.

Yesterday a brother asked me to send him some points on forgiveness
which I said I would. In the night it went off my mind, but as I sat for
today's message the Lord gave me this message which is a perfect
scripture on forgiveness.

We know the Lord is just and He does not change so also does His Word.
That means like the Lord, His Law also does not change.

When it comes to judgment people see 2 great contradicting views one
which people call as Law of Moses (Exodus 21, Leviticus 24:10-23) and on
the other hand is Law of Jesus (Matthew 5:38-48).

The Law of Moses was not the doing of Moses but was what the Lord gave
to Moses so it was the Law of the Lord. Bible says Jesus kept /fulfilled
the Law of the Lord given through Moses and the Prophets and thus was
without blemish (without sin or corruption). So if Jesus fulfilled the
Law then how do we see a contradiction between the two on justice and
forgiveness?

If we look at the so called Law of Moses the chapter Exodus 21 is with
regards to servants. These Laws were to the children of Israel who had
male and female servants who were bought for a price. In the whole Bible
(OT) there is no concept like slave (permanently owned person), the
Bible talks of bonded labor meaning a person committed to a task or
period of time (max 7 years). The servants had right, especially female
servants who were treated not less than wives / daughters.

Coming to Leviticus 24:10-23 which speaks of justice between Israelites,
we see Jesus did not change that for in Matthew 7:2 Jesus confirms we
will receive from the Lord as we have imparted like eye for an eye.

Bible says through Jesus came grace and truth that means the ability to
understand the Word of God we get through Jesus (on receiving His
Spirit) and the grace of forgiveness of our sins and grace to keep the
Law. If we have received grace we are called to show grace unto others.
If we have received forgiveness we are called to give forgiveness unto
others. Likewise if we want to receive more forgiveness or grace we are
called to do the same unto others as given in today's message. If we
follow eye for an eye law we will not be wrong but we will not receive
forgiveness for our own mistakes.

But one main point people miss is, can we forgive someone who does not
desire forgiveness. NO. We ourselves are not forgiven by the Lord unless
we repent and ask the Lord for forgiveness. So can we do more than the Lord?

Unless one puts a petition in the court of law one cannot get an
injection in one's favor. So to forgive we need to cause repentance in
the heart of the person. One way of getting a person to repent for doing
wrong against us is to enlighten that person on what the person did,
either personally or along with elders (mature persons); the other way
is by doing good to the person as given in today's message. When a
person does evil towards us and we do good; it causes the person to
repent and seek forgiveness and thus receive it.

If a person has hurt us we are called to make the person understand his
or her mistake by talking or by blessing that person by natural
expressions or by praying and blessing that person with good (this is
advised when that person is unreasonable or violent or spiteful and
uncontrollable).

Forgiveness is not forgetfulness. Not holding a grudge / bitterness has
nothing to do with forgiving a person; it is about not getting hurt by
the wrong doing of that person. Hate, grudge, bitterness are the fruits
of un-forgiveness and grow in the person who holds back forgiveness.
They harm the person in whom these fruits grow. If the opposite person
repents and seeks forgiveness and we do not forgive, note the other
person will get his or her forgiveness from the Lord but it is us who
will suffer both from the fruits of un-forgiveness that grow in us and
also we too will be dealt in the same way by the Lord. If the other does
not repent and we have tried our best by reason or love, we are called
to carry on leaving that person to the Lord to judge.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are a Merciful God. It is only by your mercy we who have sinned
are still alive. You God are righteous so You give chances time and
again for us to change and repent from our ways. You Lord opened our
eyes to sin by the sacrifice of your Son for our sins. Lord we are
children, as your children we are called to project You. We pray Lord we
understand the importance to forgive both for the person who has harmed
us and also for our own sake...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Fasting or feeding

1 Corinthians 7:5,6Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with
consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer;
and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.
But I speak this by permission, and not of commandment.

In most religions which are manmade you will find people give lots of
emphasis on fasting and praying / meditation. Even in atheist religion
like Jainism penance is glorified. In a few days the largest sect will
celebrateParyushan (Ten Virtues). It is a festival but is opposite of a
celebration. In this festival they fast, pray and seek forgiveness. They
do this by doing meditation and vratas (self-control). It is in this
self-control that they do fasting and things like not to get angry or
upset with any person. This happens for 9 days.

If we look at the Catholics they too have the Lent period which starts
with 'Ash Wednesday' and ends with 'Good Friday'. These fourty days they
fast and give up on some or other pleasures and avoid alcohol or even meat.

Islam too has 40 days fasting period called Ramadan. They believe Allah
disclosed the first verse of the Quran during this period so this
fasting and praying is more like purification of one's self.

Hindus have their month of Shravan which is a 'holy' time of refrain
like from non-veg.

These things may seem very good; it is only when one gets into the
details or questions the foundation belief that one realizes the
foolishness of manmade religions.

If you take Islam for instance the last 10 days of Ramadan is called the
'Days of Power' which apparently is believed to be the time of
revelation. During this time believers of Islam are called to Jihad
(make believers or do cleansing that means kill those who do not accept
or who have deviated from the faith). It is because of this Ramadan is
the period of maximum killings.

In Catholicism we see the Lent starts after Carnivals (Carnal-festivals)
season. This is not officially promoted by the Catholic Church but
something they actively promote. You will not find any official rebuke
in fact you will find them initiating the carnivals with rituals. These
carnivals are all about fulfilling ones carnal desires. These few days
they will drown themselves in alcohol and fleshy desires and then
religiously do Lent and after Lent (Easter) it is the same story.

Even in Jainism during Paryushan they are called to do things (except
for fasting) during the nine days which are standard virtues of any
spiritual person. Does that mean after nine days they stop to being
spiritual people? The fasting that they do is more to balance the food
cycle of nature.

This is similar to what Hindus do in their period of Shravan Maas which
has to do with balancing drawing of nature. They belief that the ocean
produces lots of valuables such as gemstones, Goddesses riches, cows,
bows, the Moon, conch etc. which were taken up by gods and demons (Devas
and Asuras). When the Ocean produced the deadliest poison called
Halahala, all of the Devas and Asuras cringed back as it was too
dangerous to destroy the universes. It was Shiva (a chief deity of the
Hindus) who decided to drink it to save the world. His devout wife saw
him taking Halahala, she at once held His throat so that the poison
wouldn't go down. As a result His throat turned blue and He was called
Neelkantha.

As Christians there is no temporary goodness or even period of freedom
to enjoy carnal desires. We are called to be Christians 24x7 and 365
days a year. We are called to battle our carnal desire not by fighting
against it in the flesh but by doing the Will of God. Our battle is not
in the flesh but in the spirit, since all things are manifested from the
spirit world to the natural world.

We see traditionally fasting is also very tightly associated with
Christianity but when we see scriptures we do not find scriptures where
God is commanding man to fast. It is not that God is against fasting for
we find scriptures that indirectly recommend or guide man to proper fasting.

We see scriptures like Matthew 17:21 were added later into manuscripts
and were not initially there. In today's scripture too we see Paul does
not command fasting but recommends as a personal advice.

Fasting or abstaining from food or pleasures do not please God but helps
one to concentrate better so they help build faith. That is if we are
meditating or believing on a promise of God during the fasting period.
But once we get an assurance to it we are not called to fast.

Jesus fasted 40days in the wilderness not to build His faith but to
qualify as a Jewish Rabbi to be able to teach in the Jewish Synagogues.
He could follow either Samuel's school of studying under another Rabbi
like Paul Saul did or follow Moses' school of fasting in wilderness for
40 days. He also fasted so as to be made weak so that He could be
tempted like us and thus overcome it (the 3 temptation which Adam and
Eve went through). Jesus Himself never advised His disciples to fast, in
fact people objected why His disciple never fasted. He told them when
the Bridegroom is with them the children of the bride-chamber do not
fast or mourn.

Let us understand as Christians we are called to live a sober life in
the natural but joyful life in the spirit. We are called not to get
pulled into the pleasures of the five senses. We are called to live by
natural needs and not natural desires. We are called to be poor in the
flesh but rich in spirit.

We may fast as and when we need to so as to be strong in faith but if we
have faith then is fasting necessary? We may have mark of persecution by
the world but let not fasting or any kind of penance become our stigmata
of suffering since the Lord suffered for us. Are we rejecting His
sacrifice by trying to suffer ourselves?

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You alone are God and your love for your children is bondless. You
came as man and suffered for us so that we can have life. You are Holy
so have asked us your children to be holy. Lord we pray we understand we
are called to overcome the flesh in spirit and not overcome the spirit
by the flesh. We pray your people understand the evil in becoming
religious...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 17:21Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.

Matthew 9:14-15

14 Then came to him the disciples of John, saying, Why do we and the
Pharisees fast oft, but thy disciples fast not?

15And Jesus said unto them, Can the children of the bridechamber mourn,
as long as the bridegroom is with them? but the days will come, when the
bridegroom shall be taken from them, and then shall they fast.

Galatians 6:17From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my
body the marks of the Lord Jesus.

2Co 11:23 Are they servants of Christ? (I speak as if insane) I more so;
in far more labors, in far more imprisonments, beaten times without
number, often in danger of death.

Law is good for whoremongers and menstealers

1 Timothy 1:10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with
mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there
be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

When one checks the BGT (manuscripts) the translation in NIV / ASV gives
a clearer version.

1 Timothy 1:10 for the sexually immoral, for those practicing
homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers--and for
whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine (1Ti 1:10 NIV)

KJV translation joins the words fornicators and homosexuals to make
whoremongers, which apparently gives another meaning of one doing
business of sex. It is these small mistakes in translations that give
people to justify things like homosexuality. We know the Bible is very
clear in its principles which were in the OT and are in the NT. The Law
of the Lord does not change and will not change the only thing is in NT
with the coming of Christ we see Grace and the ability to understand the
Law has been added. The grace is not for disobeying the Law but gives us
the chance to try to keep the Law even though we make mistakes of
breaking it.

Let us not think that because we have grace we do not have to obey the
Law. The Law was, is and will always be until it returns to the Father
when we also do. So let us not think because I believe in Christ I can
break the Law.

We as Christians are called not just to know Christ. In Acts 19:15 we
see even evil spirits acknowledge that they knew Jesus Christ and that
did not make them Christians. A Christians is one who follows Christ. He
or she may not be perfect but the grace helps the person to try and be
perfect. The grace is not forever since dead is always there and after
death we cannot do anything to our soul and make it like Christ.

God knows just grace will not be sufficient therefore He also gave us
His Spirit who not only makes us understands the Law but also helps us
keep it. That means if we are baptized in His Spirit (that means
surrender to His Spirit) then we do not need anything more than just
grace. That is why when Paul was struggling with his 'thorn' the Lord
told him, His grace is sufficient for him.

Let us work towards overcoming our weaknesses and thus abide in the Law
while grace is upon us. Let us quicken this by surrendering ourselves to
the Holy Spirit for He is God and nothing is impossible for Him.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty God, You are a Righteous and Holy God yet You are
Merciful. Lord in your mercy You gave us the abundant grace through your
Son. We know Lord this grace is not to abuse the Law but to keep the Law
by overcoming our shortfalls. We thank You Lord for your Spirit who
helps us overcome and truly abide in this grace...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

1 Timothy 1:8-11 [ASV]

8But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully,

9as knowing this, that law is not made for a righteous man, but for the
lawless and unruly, for the ungodly and sinners, for the unholy and
profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers,

10for fornicators, for abusers of themselves with men, for menstealers,
for liars, for false swearers, and if there be any other thing contrary
to the sound doctrine;

11according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God, which was
committed to my trust.

John 1:17For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by
Jesus Christ.

Acts 19:15And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul
I know; but who are ye?

2 Corinthians 12:8,9

8For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.

9And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength
is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory
in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.

Making compromises

Romans 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace,
and things wherewith one may edify another.

We as Christians are called to be champions of peace but that does not mean
we compromise on everything. We may compromise in our lifestyle, desire,
comforts etc. but when it comes to belief can we compromise.

In today’s message if we take the verse out of context then we send the
wrong message to people. We need to see the context where Paul is giving an
example of people’s belief towards food (vegetarians and non-vegetarians).
Here note Paul is addressing to a problem between believers and not
non-believers.

We see there are believers who go by their emotions and feel bad about
killing animals so prefer to avoid eating meat. What surprises people when
I say as Christians we are called to be non-vegetarians. You may ask,
brother where is it written we as Christians are called to be
non-vegetarians?

In the start when God created man (Genesis chapter 2), man was supposed to
be pure vegetarian for God instructed man to eat of the trees and herbs.
But then we see in chapter 4 man is a non-vegetarian; God had not given any
new instructions so where did the transition happen and from whom did man
learn to kill and eat.

Bible says when man sinned and realized his nakedness he tried to cloth
himself with leafs but then God had mercy on man thus clothed man with skin
of animal. It was this event that made man understand the meaning of
sacrifice for they saw God kill an animal and not only cloth them with its
skin but also made them to accept it as food. It was this understanding
that was passed by Adam and Eve to their children. Able remembered this and
thus when God asked for a offering he offered the best of his herd which
pleased God.

Is God merciless to drive man to kill a living being for food?

We should realize all this is about sacrifice if we do not eat meat we will
never understand the sacrifice of Christ and we receiving His Word to be
part of us. We as Christian are called to be non-vegetarians as a statute
so as to understand sacrifice and to pass this understanding unto our
children.

Say if we as mature Men/Women of God give up on meat we do not lose
anything but then those who see us would get the wrong message. Eating meat
is not a must but if we stop then how will our children be non-vegetarians
and accept the sacrifice of Christ the Paschal Lamb, they will not only
naturally reject the sacrifice but also spiritually reject it.

The whole Bible especially OT is full of gore killing of animals as
sacrifices but in the NT we see it only talks of Christ being the Paschal
Lamb and all other sacrifices fulfilled in Him. It does not mean the New
replaces the Old so we need to stop the Old; but means the Old leads us to
the New so as we (collectively) are on the journey to be full/overcomers
like Christ thus we continue the journey.

Like I told you in the last message Hebrew names/words have meaning which
tells the purpose of that object. The Hebrew word for ‘Flesh’ has the
meaning ‘Message’, even bread (shrew bread) symbolized Christ in the
Tabernacle. So when Jesus on the Feast of the unleavened bread taking bread
said if you do not have my flesh you will have no life (He did not speak
Geek but spoke Hebrew or Aramaic which is like Hebrew). He as a statues
spoke of eating the Paschal Lamb which symbolized Him but in reality He
meant of eating His message. So if we do not eat the message of Christ we
will not have anything to do with Him even if we may break as many bread
and eat; they will be worthless.

People who are weak in faith and have no understanding of sacrifice may not
eat meat, but that does not give us the right to bulldoze them or force
them. We are called to first build them in faith, in the spiritual and not
force them in the natural. It is the spiritual building that will
automatically change them naturally.

People like non-Christians, who do not know Jesus and the Bible and talk of
vegetarian being a holy way of living. I tell them the God who has created
us and given us canine teeth did not make a mistake, nor was He confused.
If they points out to herbivorous animals having canine teeth I enlighten
them we are not herbivorous animals that have canine teeth to use it for
defense. I ask them if God has given any useless body parts. Everything He
created has purpose.

All animals are edible but since we eat meat as a statute, we are primarily
called to eat those which are considered sacrificial animals (cattle like
sheep, goats, bullocks/cows & birds).

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty God and everything You do has purpose. Lord You
created us and You knew of our fall so in advance You made us to sustain
that fall. You Lord know the end and You have set great things for us once
we overcome. Lord we pray we do all things with understanding and remember
the understanding is more important than the doing. Lord we pray we do not
become stumbling blocks in the life of others by forcing them in the
natural without building them in the spiritual...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Sciptures]

Genesis 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of
the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Genesis 3:21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of
skins, and clothed them.

Genesis 4:2-5

2 And she again bare his brother Abel. And Abel was a keeper of sheep, but
Cain was a tiller of the ground.

3 And in process of time it came to pass, that Cain brought of the fruit
of the ground an offering unto the LORD.

4 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat
thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

5 But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very
wroth, and his countenance fell.

John 6:51 I am the living bread which came down out of heaven: if any man
eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: yea and the bread which I will
give is my flesh, for the life of the world.

Calling on the Name of the Lord

Romans 10:13 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be
saved.

This scripture is one of the most misunderstood scripture, we see some
Preachers, or those ministering try to get people to speak the name of
Jesus as Lord, and think that now the person is saved.

There are 2 things in this scripture one need to understand first.

First it does not say 'call the name of the Lord' but says 'call upon'.
The Greek word also means 'put upon the name'. It refers more to the
surname / nickname given to a person to identify the person depending on
the identifying nature or characteristic of the person. Jesus gave
surnames to some people and the surname described them or spoke of
something unique about them.

Secondly what is the Name of the Lord? Now there are times I put name
and sometimes I put Name. The small n name specifies the earthly
identification word and the capital N Name speak of the identity of the
person. Like I told you in Hebrew every name has a meaning not only of
people but also of objects and it describes the object or person. Bible
says our Names are written in Book of Life it does not mean our earthly
names like mine is 'Rollwyn'. Even though very few people on earth have
my name yet the name which is written in the Book of Life is different.
It is the identity of my spirit-man or inner-man which is unique in all
creation.

God knows our end result, what we will become and we are called
accordingly. What is written is not what we are but what we will become
at the end.

One should understand in the Bible Adam had no name for the word Adam
means human and since he was the only human, he became the identity of
the race. Similarly God is unique and there is no other God thus He has
no name. All the so called names of Lord in the Bible are
characteristics of Him. When Moses and Jacob (who experienced Him) asked
the Lord His name, He got upset and told Moses 'I am that I am'. The
Jews called Him 'I AM' in a way of reverence not stating as His name but
as 'the one who exist forever'. So when we call God as the Great I AM,
it is not as a name but stating He alone is God who exists forever.

There are scriptures that state there is power in the Name of Jesus. It
does not mean power in the word but in knowing who He is. It is like
exercising authority in His Name. Thus we need to live that Name more
and more to exercise more and more authority in that Name.

So let us understand salvation comes only when we accept Jesus Christ as
our Lord and the Way to God, meaning we need to become like Him to go to
Heaven. That means we need to give up our way of living and put on His
way of living.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord when there was no way to Heaven, You came as man to show us the
Way. You became an example a corner stone tow which we all need to align
so as to go to Heaven. Lord we pray people use wisdom and not think by
saying Jesus, Iesus, Yeshovah, Yeshu, Jehovah, Elohim, I AM or any of
the other descriptions of You that they will go to Heaven. It is only
when we change inside will we go to Heaven. Like Jesus said He protected
us by Your Name which was/is in Him same way Lord help us to have your
Name in us so that we too can be like Jesus who was like You manifested
in the flesh...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Genesis 32:27-29

27And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.

28And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for
as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed.

29And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he
said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed
him there.

Exodus 3:14And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus
shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.

John 17:12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou
hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the
son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

Acts 16:31And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou
shalt be saved, and thy house.

Romans 10:14How then shall they call on him in whom they have not
believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard?
and how shall they hear without a preacher?

2 Timothy 2:22Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith,
charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

Acts 19:14-16

14And there were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jew, and chief of the
priests, which did so.

15And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know;
but who are ye?

16And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame
them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house
naked and wounded.

Is Christianity inhuman, merciless?

John 3:36 He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that
believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on
him.

We have one Indian Muslim preacher who preaches those who are not Muslims
will be punished in hell and that Islam is the only true religion. The
Indian government is now on his tail because he has influenced many
youngsters to become jihadis / terrorist.

Speak to a Christian preacher an the same points and you may get a similar
answer that Christianity is the only true religion and only Christians will
go to Heaven and others to Hell. So only those who believe in the Lord
Jesus Christ will go to Heaven others to Hell.

Catholics are the only democratic religion which states irrespective of
one’s belief if one is a good being that person will go to Heaven, be it
Jew, Muslim or Christian (Catholics only); but Protestants will go to the
worse Hell even if he or she is a good being since the person left the
‘church’.

If one really understands the Truth all the above positions are wrong.

Bible says all those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ go to Hell
which is a prison because they are already judged. There people are not
tortured by any person or evil spirit or Angels. There the soul does suffer
but suffers the sins which it has committed here on earth. It is these sins
which are like never dying coals of fire or worms. These souls cannot blame
God or anyone else for their suffering other than themselves.

God is everywhere so even in Hell one cannot flee from the presence of God.
The only difference is Hell is far from the glory of God thus mercy, love
and other characteristics of God are not experienced. It is like darkness;
even in darkness there is light but it is so minute that it is not
experienced.

The people who are judged by the Lord are those who are of His flock that
is His sheep and goats. So it is not those who do not know Him that are
judged but only those who do know Him that are judged. These are not judged
on their death (they sleep in Christ since the curse of Hell is broken by
their faith in Him) but judged on Judgment Day. Bible says all those who
are asleep in Him will rise and stand before Him on Judgment Day. Those who
have abided in His Word will go to Heaven and those who have not will be
put in the Lake of Fire/ Sulphur (these adjectives are symbolic to
understand how bad the suffering in that place is). It is in this place
where the souls will not suffer its sins like in Hell since they are
forgiven by their faith. Here the souls will suffer punishment for
rejecting the Lord’s Will that is His Word even after knowing Him.

So to be a Believer in the Lord Jesus Christ is a great privilege for we
get a free ticket to go to Heaven with all sins forgiven. But that does not
mean we will sure be there. For us to be there we need to get on the
journey and that is abide in His Word with the help of His Spirit. It is
because of this that baptism in Christ and His Spirit, both are essential.

Now those who are not Christians cannot blame God for not going to Heaven
since they have rejected the offer. They also cannot blame God for their
suffering there in Hell since it is their own doing here on earth that they
suffer.

So we see God is not unjust, He being merciful has extended His Hand what
is through His Son (the only Way) and His Spirit (one who takes us along
the Way). If we reject His Hand then can we blame Him? So religions which
are man-made are just excuses. Christianity is about holding the Hand of
God extended to mankind.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are a Merciful God. When man sinned You still gave a chance for
man to change. You extended your hand in way of your Son and Spirit so that
we can be reconciled unto You. Lord we pray people open their eyes and see
that without You there is no eternal life and the life they live here on
earth will determine how much they will suffer for the rest on their spirit
life in Hell. Lord we also pray all those who believe in You or know You
may understand if they do not abide in your Word there is worse punishment
set for them and that the only way to Heaven is via your Word and your
Spirit...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

John 3:5 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except one be
born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God!

John 3:18-21

18 He that believeth on him is not judged: he that believeth not hath been
judged already, because he hath not believed on the name of the only
begotten Son of God.

19 And this is the judgment, that the light is come into the world, and
men loved the darkness rather than the light; for their works were evil.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, and cometh not to the
light, lest his works should be reproved.

21 But he that doeth the truth cometh to the light, that his works may be
made manifest, that they have been wrought in God.

Acts 7:59-60

59 And they stoned Stephen, calling upon the Lord, and saying, Lord Jesus,
receive my spirit.

60 And he kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, Lord, lay not this
sin to their charge. And when he had said this, he fell asleep.

Genesis 25:8 And Abraham gave up the ghost, and died in a good old age, an
old man, and full of years, and was gathered to his people.

Romans 14:10 But thou, why dost thou judge thy brother? or thou again, why
dost thou set at nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the
judgment-seat of God.

Revelation 22:17 And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And he that
heareth, let him say, Come. And he that is athirst, let him come: he that
will, let him take the water of life freely.

Revelation 20:11-15

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat upon it, from whose
face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for
them.

12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the
throne; and books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the
book of life: and the dead were judged out of the things which were written
in the books, according to their works.

13 And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave
up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every man according to
their works.

14 And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second
death, even the lake of fire.

15 And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into
the lake of fire.

As the Father hath loved me!

John 15:9 As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye
in my love.

When you tell something to a child you will find they are very alert to
every word especially when they have to receive something promised. They
do this for their heart is in receiving that which they want.

How many times have we read today's scripture but have we noticed the
translation shows a Jesus saying that 'as the Father had loved Him, so
has He loved us', putting the love of the Father in past tense. Does
that mean the Father does not love Him now, or has the Father's love
changed for Him?

If one studies Greek language one will understand why no English
translation is perfect and accurate, this is not to do with the ability
of the translators but to do with the limitation in the English
language. Take today's message itself the verb 'love' is not in the past
tense as put here, nor is it in present or future tense. It is in a
tense known as Aorist which does not exist in the English language. This
tense is past, present and future, all at the same time. That means the
verb is, was and will be all together.

I have seen so many Christians debating over which translation is
accurate and which is not, this only exposes their lack of knowledge of
manuscripts and of the Biblical languages. It is high time Christians
take Bible study more serious and listen less to so called worldly
theologians and Preachers, but spend more time to listen to what the
scripture says. When we investigate any verse from the Bible the
understanding explodes and every time you read it again you will find
more and more to discover (word study is done after one has read the
Bible completely and also read commentaries).

Once a brother asked me why some get so much understanding of
scriptures, while others do not.

Jesus described the Kingdom of God as a treasure buried deep within the
land which a person gives away all he owns to buy the land and seeks
this buried treasure with joy.

Some points one needs to note to what Jesus said:-

1) It is a treasure meaning very valuable

2) It is buried deep within the land meaning it is not kept out in the
open. Those who think Word of God is simple confuse between the Gospel
and the Word. The Gospel is simple but the Word needs wisdom and
persistent desire to receive more and more. If treasure would have been
lying everywhere out in the open then people will not consider it as
treasure.

3) It is buried in the land which made of invaluable mud / dirty.
Languages, science, history, geography etc. are like mud which we dig in
to helps us understand the Word of God.

4) The man gave all he had to receive meaning only those who put
receiving the true understanding right on the top of all their
priorities in life are the ones who will receive.

So let us not think just by reading a Bible we will understand it,
secondly we should pursue beyond translations and study Biblical
languages i.e Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic; we should also study history,
geography, science and related studies to understand scriptures better.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord your Word says where the priority of the person is that's where the
person dwells, if our heart is in worldly things we will be worldly and
so perish with it, if our heart is in the Word of God which is eternal,
so will we have eternal life in the eternal Kingdom of God. Lord,
increase the desire of your people to learn and grow in your Word...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 6:21For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

Matthew 13:44Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a
field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof
goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.

Touching Jesus' garments

Mark 6:56 And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or
country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they
might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as
touched him were made whole.

At times scripture specify minute details and those details are very
important. Christians mostly think all were healed when they touched the
clothes of Jesus. This understanding caused Catholics to touch statues
depicting Jesus. Believers do not touch statues for they do not do idol
worship but when they pray they seek to just touch His clothes.

Today's scripture says how-so-many touched the hem/border of His
garments were healed. When the woman with the issue of the blood tried
to touch Jesus to be healed she did not try to touch His clothes but
tried to touch the hem of His clothes. People do not understand this was
not about humility like 'I get to at least touch His hem I would be
healed'; it was more of 'if I touch the hem of His garment I will be
healed'. Understand in a large crowd the worse thing a person can do is
bend down, especially a woman and that too a weak woman. Such person
will get trampled and may even die. People were targeting to touch the
hem of Jesus' clothes because of the dress He wore.

Jesus was an Israelite and abided by what the Lord had commanded through
Moses. As an Israelite they were asked to wear robes with a blue
ribband/cord at the hem, it was this blue hem which they were trying to
touch.

The Hebrew word for blue is tekeleth and the root word is similar to the
word shecheleth and shachal. Shecheleth means onycha which was an
ingredient used in the holy incense and shachal which means lion which
symbolizes righteousness. The Hebrew words for fringe border also means
shinning edge.

God had command every Israelite to make fringes in the borders of their
garments with blue ribband / cord. This symbolized a call of life of
holiness and righteous of an Israelite.

When the people touched the hem of His garments they acknowledged His
holiness and His righteousness. Today we do not need to physically touch
the hem of His garments but if we acknowledge His holiness and
righteousness we will see the same results that those people who did.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord your Word says blessed are those who have not seen me but yet
believe. Lord it not by ours senses that our faith be built on but on
the Truth and understanding of your Word. Lord, help us to understand
and acknowledge who You are so that by acknowledging your Holiness and
Righteousness we will be healed...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Numbers 15:38-40

38Speak unto the children of Israel, and bid them that they make them
fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations,
and that they put upon the fringe of the borders a ribband of blue:

39And it shall be unto you for a fringe, that ye may look upon it, and
remember all the commandments of the LORD, and do them; and that ye seek
not after your own heart and your own eyes, after which ye use to go a
whoring:

40That ye may remember, and do all my commandments, and be holy unto
your God.

Matthew 9:20And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of
blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

Matthew 14:36And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his
garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.

Virgin birth

Luke 1:27 To a virgin espoused to a man whose name was Joseph, of the
house of David; and the virgin's name was Mary.

Among the undeniable facts of Christ are His birth and His resurrection.
Even among the non-Christians many accept the fact He was born of a
virgin which is supposed to be a fact which today can be confirmed
medically yet in those days all accepted that Mary was a virgin and yet
she gave birth. Today if any woman speaks of a virgin birth all will ask
for a medical verification.

It was only when a historian gave some background of the traditions of
the Jews that prevailed at that time concerning marriage that I came to
know of the scrutiny that Mary went through by society before being
accepted as being a virgin and giving birth. It was this reason that
Joseph came under pressure to cancel the marriage but went ahead (at a
great cost). According to the Jewish records Joseph was a builder making
houses and not a carpenter as put in English translations (the Greek
word in scriptures is tekton which means 'one who brings forth' or
'makes'). He was neither poor nor rich but economically average citizen.

One question that came to my mind in my initial days of Bible study is
why God needed to come as man through a virgin birth? Was God trying to
demonstrate His power? If so, then is God not potent enough for greater
things or did God run out of creativity?

If one scientifically probes virgin birth it is not an impossible thing.
It is possible for a woman to give birth even though she does not have
relationship with a man but the probability of such a thing happening is
one in a billion. So was Jesus' birth a one in a billion case? No.

If one studies human chromosomes it is possible for a woman to give
birth to a girl by herself but not to a boy. The birth of Jesus was an
impossible thing since He was a boy and born of a virgin.

Let us look at the spiritual angle as to why did God need to do that.
Could not a Savor be born of a normal marriage?

Was Mary without sin that she was chosen? No.

Bible says no man was found righteous that is why God had to humble
Himself and come as man to be a sacrifice without blemish for mankind.
Like Mary there were many pious Jewish virgin women at that time (Mary's
cousins and sister were also pious women). Mary herself calls her child
her Savior. If she was without sin she would not need a Savior. One of
the reasons God chose her was because she was a clean descendant of
David and so was her fiancee. Also it was the perfect time for the
Savior to come.

If Mary was not without sin how could she give birth to Jesus who was
without sin and without blemish?

Sin is not a sickness of the flesh like a contagious disease, it is a
spiritual matter. Sin is breaking of the Law of God and this
disobedience cannot be passed from one generation to another. Each one
pays for their own disobedience. What is passed from one generation to
another is the corruption; that is the nature to sin and curses. Also
these are not passed from mother to child but from father to child since
the (spiritual) seed is in the father and later this is bought forth in
the flesh in the womb of the mother. The sin nature or curses as Bible
says is passed up to 4 generations, father to child. That means if I
steal the nature to steal is passed unto my four generations. If my four
generations do not steal and overcome that nature then my remaining
generations are free of that nature (blessings are passed for more than
100 generations).

Marriage is not just a physical unification but a spiritual unification
also. So the sin nature and curses of the woman get passed to the child
through her husband and not the other way. So even though Mary was a
sinner yet her nature and curses were not passed to her child Jesus due
to it being a virgin birth. Also note she was not married during her
birth of Jesus. In Jewish tradition like in Christian belief one becomes
fully husband and wife when they physically come together. Marriage is
about family and anyone not having a child in marriage is considered
cursed. Mary's womb was not cursed nor was the fertility of Joseph, she
along with Joseph had many children Bible records at least 3 sons and 2
daughters.

We see Jesus did acknowledge Mary as His mother but when He directly
spoke to her He did not call her mother but called her 'woman'. This is
not a respectful word like Ma'am. To understand why, in today's
scientific terminology Mary was like a spiritual surrogate mother of
Jesus. So though she gave birth to Jesus and was His biological mother
yet spiritually she was not His mother.

Mary was blessed and will always be called blessed because she received
the promise, the prophecy of a virgin giving birth to the Savior of
mankind. Being blessed had nothing to do with her spiritual purity or
maturity. She was as weak and feeble spiritually as any other woman. She
did support the ministry of Jesus before His death on the cross but
later was not active and nothing of her is written for it was not found
important. Note for her to accept to be a mother the Angel Gabriel had
to share the testimony of her cousin Elizabeth since she was not that
strong in faith.

Let us have unshakeable faith which is founded on the Truth. Let us not
have a false faith based of misplaced beliefs and traditions of man.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are Almighty God and true to your word. To find a way for man
whom You removed from your presence You became one among us. To take
away the wrath of sin on us You needed to be one of us. You became one
of us yet You had nothing spiritually to do with man (Adam), thus were
called the second man. You Lord became a sacrifice from the beginning of
creation thus unfolding all that You had already set. We pray your
people understand the things You have done and truly glorify You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Luke 1:26-38

Exodus 20:5Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for
I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the
fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them
that hate me;

Isaiah 7:14Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a
virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Hosea 2:16And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt
call me Ishi [man]; and shalt call me no more Baali [unknown God].

John 2:4Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what have I to do with thee? mine
hour is not yet come.

Post  Admin Tue 26 Jul 2016, 12:20 pm

Peter Peter

Acts 10: 18And called, and asked whether Simon, which was surnamed
Peter, were lodged there.

There is no more controversial person in the NT than the person Simon
who was called Peter. Right from the things he did, his mission even his
name is a controversy.

Simon the son of Jona was a fisherman and businessman to the core. He
had an association (group of fishermen of which James and John were part
of). Fish (business) was always on his mind after Jesus; as soon as he
forsook Jesus after Jesus' death and resurrection (since he did not
expect anything more to happen even the others did the same), he went
fishing and was so lost in fishing that he did not realize he was naked.

People think Jesus called him Peter but they fail to understand Peter is
English rendering of the Greek word Petros and Jesus and His disciples
did not speak Greek with each other. They spoke Aramaic and Hebrew (in
the temple). Jesus called him Cephas (Aramaic) and that is why in John
1:42 the word is written not translated. The word means stone (small in
size like that of a pebble). The Aramaic word for rock is Suhas and in
Greek is Petra.

Jesus gave names to people for a reason, He called John and James the
sons of Zebedee which means lightening for they were fast in all things,
even in their desires (always wanting more), Thomas which means a person
with dual personality since he was a doubtful person and at times had
great faith. Mary the Magdalene and Salome the sister of Mary His mother
were called Mary the name of His mother as a respect like He gave His
mother (although nowhere it is written Jesus gave them this name). The
name Mary means bitter and there is no reason anyone else would name
Salome which means peace to be called bitter unless it was for respect
as a mother (it was this reason these women [Marys] were always around
Jesus).

Simon or Shimeon is a Hebrew word and means heard. One would seriously
raise the question why did Jesus call Simon [heard] as Cephas [pebble]
especially if one checks the Hebrew translation of this word. The Hebrew
word for Cephas is Tyrus. Simon was a Jew and not of the city Tyrus. One
will be alarmed when one realizes this name is also given to Satan in
the book of Ezekiel, he is called king and prince of Tyrus. Jesus was
not calling Simon a devil / Satan.

Truth or the Lord is called Tsoor / Cela in Hebrew which is translated
as rock but actually symbolizes cliff. It means a very large rock (one
piece) which cannot be shaken. Satan is the master of lies and a great
deceiver that is why he does not lie fully but gives little truths
(pebbles) like he did to deceive Eve and Adam.

Simon the son of Jona was an over anxious person and usually spoke even
though he had little knowledge on that matter and we see this throughout
the NT [a person we refer to now having foot in the mouth symptoms].
Jesus knew about this die hard habit of Simon therefore called him
Cephas or Peter or Tyrus.

It is no coincident that the false church [Church of Rome] claims Peter
as it founder even though Simon the son of Jona is nowhere noted in the
Bible to have gone to Rome to preach or minister. This church has
nothing to do with the man Simon but it is all about its foundation of
lies [little truths].

Before the Holy Spirit was given to the Church and the New Church of
Christ was formed Simon was indeed chosen to lead the Apostles. Later he
was put in charge of the Jewish Christians along with John and James. It
was this reason that he picked the cloth left on the floor in the tomb
(a statute done in the book of Moses). It was Paul who was selected to
lead the Gentile church. The new Church of Christ was not led by a
single person but a group which included Simon Peter, John Zebedee,
James Zebedee, Paul and Barnabas.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are eternal and perfect thus You do not change. Truth too is
eternal and unchanging thus You and Truth are symbolized as large
rock/cliff. Lord we pray we do not follow emotions and traditions of men
but do all things with understanding and discerning them in spirit. Lord
we pray those who have founded their church on deception may open their
eyes and be rooted on the Rock...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

John 1:42And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he
said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which
is by interpretation, A stone.

Ezekiel 26:3Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against
thee, O Tyrus, and will cause many nations to come up against thee, as
the sea causeth his waves to come up.

Psalms 18:46The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock [cela]; and let the
God of my salvation be exalted.

Psalms 18:31For who is God save the LORD? or who is a rock [tsoor] save
our God?

Galatians 2:9And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars,
perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas
the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and
they unto the circumcision.

Acts 9:15But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen
vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the
children of Israel:

Acts 13:47For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to
be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be for salvation unto
the ends of the earth.

Romans 16:4Who have for my life laid down their own necks: unto whom not
only I give thanks, but also all the churches of the Gentiles.

Galatians 2:8(For he that wrought effectually in Peter to the
apostleship of the circumcision [Jews], the same was mighty in me toward
the Gentiles:)

Matthew 16:18And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter [Cephas
/Petros / Tyrus], and upon this rock [Suhas/Petra/Tsoor] I will build my
church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

To speak or not to speak

1 Corinthians 14:5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that
ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh
with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

It is great now days that all denominations interact with each other and
have common programs. Gone are the days where the Pastor would restrict his
congregation from attending programs held by other so called denominations.
As a Gideon I get to speak and share the Word at various churches even
though I belong to a Church and there are only a minuscule number that
still exist in the dark era of Christianity.

Tongues is one topic among other few topics which still have a potential to
divide Churches. Yesterday I was preaching at a Church where their leader
told me he received the gift of tongues and he also said his church
(denomination) does not believe / promote tongues but he does not enforce
his understanding on any one.

Start a debate on Tongues and the first challenge thrown at you will be can
you interpret tongues? If you cannot interpret tongues then you should not
speak tongues.

Tongues is not a Heavenly language like Arabic is for Islam. God does not
speak in Tongues nor do Angels since Tongues is not a language. Yet you
have various levels of Tongues like Angelic tongues. People who have not
understood it so have even added vocabularies to it. They do not realize at
Pentecost when those in the upper room prayed the people outside heard them
(collective) in their own native language. That means what they spoke in
the natural (sound) was something else, but what yet they heard them speak
in their own native language for the Spirit spoke (interpreted) to them.

In the Bible we see as people got baptized in the Holy Spirit one of the
signs that confirmed their baptism was the gift of tongues. It is not
necessary a person who does not speak in Tongues is not baptized in the
Holy Spirit, the person can be blessed with other gifts like prophecy or
healing etc. but having no gifts will question one’s baptism in the Holy
Spirit.

Paul in today’s message suggests it is better to speak a language than to
pray in tongues unless someone can interpret (man or the Spirit of God when
the glory of God is strong as it happened at Pentecost). Tongues is
excellent for personal prayer for Bible says the Spirit leads us to pray
for things we are not aware of with groaning within our spirit. In natural
language we can only pray for things we are aware of and for this we
understand.

Praying in Tongues helps a person to surrender to the Spirit and helps to
hear the voice of the Spirit speaking to us. Paul is very right in today’s
message to tell the people of Corinth who were not mature in Spirit to pray
in normal language when they come as a congregation so that others
understand what they are praying and are edified. If spiritually mature
people are praying in Tongues and someone new or immature in the Lord walks
in he or she will hear only blabbering, but when someone mature in Spirit
walks in he or she will know and feel the power and presence of God.

So let us discern how we pray when we pray as a person or as a body. Let us
be one with others in mind and spirit.

[Prayer Starter]

Father God You made each one of us different so that we know how adjust
with others. You desire we become one as You are one. We pray Lord that all
that we do edifies each other and that we come as one unto You...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name
shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;

Acts 2:2-6

2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind,
and it filled all the house where they were sitting.

3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat
upon each of them.

4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with
other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

5 And there were dwelling at Jerusalem Jews, devout men, out of every
nation under heaven.

6 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were
confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language.

Acts 10:44-48

44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them
that heard the word.

45 And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, as many as came
with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of
the Holy Spirit.

46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered
Peter,

47 Can any man forbid the water, that these should not be baptized, who
have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?

48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then
prayed they him to tarry certain days.

1 Corinthians 12:8-11,30-31

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the
word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by
the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another
discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the
interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to
every man severally as he will.

30 Have all the gifts of healing? do all speak with tongues? do all
interpret?

31 But covet earnestly the best gifts: and yet shew I unto you a more
excellent way.

1 Corinthians 13:1 Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels,
and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

1 Corinthians 14:5,6,18

5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied:
for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues,
except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.

6 Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I
profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by
knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine?

18 I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all:

19 Yet in the church I had rather speak five words with my understanding,
that by my voice I might teach others also, than ten thousand words in an
unknown tongue.

20 Brethren, be not children in understanding: howbeit in malice be ye
children, but in understanding be men.

Do not glorify Satan

Luke 8:31 And they besought him that he would not command them to go out
into the deep.

In other religions people unknowingly worship Satan as a god and this
happens because they do not know God and because they have no clear
identification of Satan. In Christianity we have a clear identification
of God and Satan yet we find most Christians have glorified Satan to the
level of making him a god.

In the Bible Satan (plural) is a creation of God but fell for he (they)
rebelled against the nature of God. God (God’s plans) is light and Satan
by his (their) rebellion caused darkness. Bible says even though they
were cast down from Heaven (upper Heavens) God has kept them for a
period and their punishment is due to them at the end. Bible shows that
Satan /devils know what is awaiting them yet in the hardness of their
heart they are trying their best to destroy humans whom God created to
defeat them by overcoming darkness. If we see there is no victory for
them at any cost, they are just trying hard to prevent man’s victory.

The Catholics in their imaginations made devils as rulers over Hell and
this they actively promoted through art and this has been so much an
effect that even Believers who read scriptures do not let the scriptures
speak to them but the programing that is done to them speaks to them.

Another good example of mind programing is the situation concerning the
birth of Jesus. Ask Christians where Jesus was born or to depict the
scene of the birth of Jesus and they will make a stable and put an
infant in wooden box with hay and various types of animals like sheep,
goats, cows, donkeys etc. around, along with a woman and a man (Mary and
Joseph). Ask them where is all this given? And they will have no
answers. In Luke it is clearly given that the inn (not inns) was full
and while they were waiting for accommodation in that inn Mary gave
birth to Jesus, so Joseph wrapped Him in a cloth and put Him in a
manger. Manger is a wooden box used to feed animals. Where was this box?
Outside the inn, since they were waiting for accommodation outside the
inn. So what animals would be around at the time of birth? Sheep, goats,
cows? No. mainly donkeys for that place was more like a car park outside
a hotel.

He was as an infant put by man among donkeys and was declared King by
man while sitting on a small of a donkey.

Hell is perfectly described by Peter as a prison. There is no fire in
Hell; (the eternal fire) burning coals / never dying worms are the sins
that burn / torment inside the person. In the parable given by Jesus the
rich man asked for water not to put over him but to drink since he was
burning inside. In Hell each will suffer as per their collection of sins
of their earthly life. So if one simply puts Salvation in the Lord Jesus
Christ - by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ we do not go to Hell (the
prison) but sleep (Grave) to be Judged on Judgment Day not for our sins
but if we kept His Will or not. Those found to have kept the Will enter
Heaven. It is the Holy Spirit who helps us do the Will of God.

Today's scripture shows that the fallen angels too feared to go to Hell
since they will be confined there unto Judgment Day. We as Christians
cannot send the fallen angels to Hell for we do not have that authority
only the Lord has that authority. The authority we have is to chase away
/cast away fallen angels, for this authority has been given to us by the
Lord Jesus Christ.

Satan is not called Anti-God but called Anti-Christ for he knows he does
not have any power against God but he hates Christ (Son of Man whom the
Lord the Son has humbled and become), since Christ leads man to defeat
him and quicken his judgment.

Let us not glorify Satan (Lucifer) by giving him a kingdom - kingdom of
Hell. He is a prisoner there awaiting to be set free at the end. The
only place he rules is darkness and this is not natural darkness but
spiritual darkness. So the only way one can give him a kingdom is by
hardening one's heart against God.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You alone are God and there is none like You. Lord You are
righteous and yet merciful. Your ways are unknown to man but they are
everlasting and perfect. You allow things but You alone know at the end
there is nothing better than that which You have set in place. An
example is the universe so vast and so beautiful yet the real work You
do on a speck of planet called earth. Lord let us understand the real
things and not be led by our natural senses...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Luke 2:7And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in
swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room
for them in the inn.

Matthew 10:1And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he
gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal
all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.

Matthew 8:29And, behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with
thee, Jesus, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before
the time?

Mark 1:23-25

23And there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he
cried out,

24Saying, Let us alone; what have we to do with thee, thou Jesus of
Nazareth? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the
Holy One of God.

25And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him.

Mark 5:2-13

Luke 16:24And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and
send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool
my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame.

1 Peter 4:17For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house
of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that
obey not the gospel of God?

1 Peter 3:19By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;

2 Peter 2:4For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them
down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved
unto judgment;

Revelation 1:18I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am
alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.

Establish you till the end

1 Thessalonians 3:12, 13And the Lord make you to increase and abound in
love one toward another, and toward all men, even as we do toward you:
To the end he may stablish your hearts unblameable in holiness before
God, even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all
his saints.

Yesterday a brother asked me, why does Jesus need to come again? Someone
had asked him and he was not very sure or wanted reconfirm and give the
perfect answer. Not to go too much in death I gave a simple answer I
told Him Jesus Christ is coming to sit on the Judgment Throne and to
take us to Heaven.

Our last two messages are connected to today's message. We had received
message of the finished works where the Lord says He is working in us
right unto the end until He takes us unto the Father. Yesterday's
message was about the transformation we will go through in spirit. Today
message tell us more on how?

Today's message tells us the Lord will establish our hearts unblameable
in holiness. If we ask a person the meaning of 'holy' and they will
confuse it with purity. If you ask the difference between righteous and
purity again they will be confused.

The word Hebrew word for holiness means separated. This separation is
not meaning isolation or from sin or evil. When we walk in righteousness
we automatically do not sin for unrighteousness is sin for a Christian.
A Christian does not need a law for the Bible says the Law is now
written in his or her heart. So righteousness is keeping the Will of God
which is the Law of the Lord.

In Holiness when we talk of separation it means being separated for
works of the Lord like the Levites were called to be separated and they
were called priest. We in Christ are also called priest because we too
are called to be separated.

To be holy does not mean we need to stop everything else we do and
become missionaries, Evangelist, Teachers, Healers, Pastors etc. Paul
was an Apostle who was separated for the works of the Lord yet he did
his own personal business of making and selling tents. It is all
according the grace on our lives and the mission the Lord has given us
that we may be full time ministers or work as well minister but either
way, we are called to minister to the lost and this ministering should
be on the top of our agenda.

God is telling us the way of success is to overcome evil is by doing
good. If we try to avoid evil we may have success for some time.
Initially as are growing in the Lord we are called to flee from
temptation but on the long run we are called to overcome. It is the
nature (Name) of the Lord that helps us overcome and this nature comes
when we do what He does or did.

Paul said he was a salve to sin and was set free but yet said he became
a willful bonded servant. Paul, Peter, James and Jude, all of them said
they were servants of Christ by whom did they serve? They served the
people. Jesus who was Lord made Himself servant and served the people.
He was not servant of the people but servant to the Father and He as
servant of the Father He served the people.

We are called to be servants of the Lord, Christ and Church, and their
purpose is the same - it is the salvation of the people.

God is telling us when we stand before the Judgment Throne we will be
found blameless only if we live a holy life today. When the Lord said
'be Holy for I am Holy', it was the Son. If we see in Revelations when
He is seated on the Throne in Heaven the only name the Heavenly beings
call Him by is Holy, Holy, Holy and this is for what He has done from
the foundation of creation. The Son is Holy for He has got that nature
from the Father. Jesus says I do what I saw my Father do.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are Almighty and Righteous God. You Lord alone are perfectly
Holy for from the foundation of creation You have become a sacrifice for
us. Lord we who are yours are called to be like You. We pray we
understand the importance of serving your people. Let us understand we
may be serving them but by this we are doing good unto ourselves for by
serving we become more like You and thus have power to overcome and
stand blameless before You...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Prayer Starter]

2 Corinthians 6:17Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye
separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will
receive you,

Hebrews 7:26For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless,
undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;

Romans 1:1Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle,
separated unto the gospel of God,

1 Corinthians 7:22-23

22For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's
freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant.

23Ye are bought with a price; be not ye the servants of men.

Colossians 3:22-24

22Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not
with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God:

23And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;

24Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the
inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.

From Bondmen to Sons

Galatians 4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a
son, then an heir of God through Christ.

Some weeks back I was in discussion with a few brothers about Angel and
man, as we got deeper I learnt from the Lord so many things which I
would not have dreamt of (our discussion is still on). Before that
discussion started this scripture would have meant to me as being bought
for a price and made family, from servant to son. But as the Lord
revealed the hidden things it puts me in awe of the reality.

When God created man (adam - common noun) even though he was made in the
image of God yet he was never referred to as Son of God like the Angels
are [Matthew genealogy in Greek text is 'Adam which was of God' not
'Adam which was son of God' in KJV the words 'the son' are written in
Italics ].

Man (adam) is the lowest of the creatures of the Kingdom of God and not
an heir to God's Kingdom. God through His Son and His Spirit is
transforming man to a higher spirit being who has rights to God's
Kingdom, a royal being who has power and authority in God [Israel].

Today's message is like telling a caterpillar who is inside a cocoon and
going through the transformation that it has wings and will fly as a
butterfly.

Let us understand Christ did not come to make our lives better, just to
take away our problems and our burdens. He came to make it possible to
transform us in the spirit so that we can inherit His Kingdom and that
is why He said unless we are not born from above we will not enter His
Kingdom.

Let us understand one thing, what God says or does He does not revert;
if He has spoken He does not cancel it. He has removed adam (man) from
His Kingdom so there is no way adam will be able to return to His
Kingdom. But due to God's love for us He has made a way for our return
by promoting us in spirit to be Sons of God.

Let us not lose the focus of the work. Let us not look at the battle of
the flesh but let us understand where the work is being done. Let us not
hinder or delay the transformation but let the Spirit of God whom we
have received through Jesus Christ work in us. So let us surrender to
His Spirit. Can a caterpillar transform to a butterfly if it does not
remain in the cocoon and be still.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, You are Almighty God and your wisdom is beyond measure. Your ways
Lord are beyond the understanding of man unless You reveal them. We pray
Lord we understand the real things and do not be lost with mirages. Help
us be focused and thus quicken the work You have started in us...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

the son of Adam, which was of God.

Genesis 3:23-24

23Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till
the ground from whence he was taken.

24So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of
Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the
way of the tree of life.

Hosea 2:16And it shall be at that day, saith the LORD, that thou shalt
call me Ishi [man]; and shalt call me no more Baali [unknown God].

John 3:3-8

3Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

4Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he
enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born
of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the
Spirit is spirit.

7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again [from above].

8The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof,
but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every
one that is born of the Spirit.

incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

2 Corinthians 3:6Who also hath made us able ministers of the new
testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth,
but the spirit giveth life.

1 Corinthians 5:7Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a
new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is
sacrificed for us:

Galatians 6:15For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any
thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature.

Colossians 3:10And have put on the new man, which is renewed in
knowledge after the image of him that created him:

Revelation 21:5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all
things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and
faithful.

No prophet is accepted in his own country

Luke 4:24 And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his
own country.

Today’s scripture is a hard truth for the Church. Jesus says no prophet is
acceptable in his own country and most of the Church tries to prove Him
wrong. We find they not only prove Him wrong but make it a rule for others
to be part of the Church.

Jesus says in another scripture that the world will hate you for it hated
me first. Does that mean that a true Christian needs to be hated by people?

If we see today’s scripture we understand those close to us are impacted
the most by us and if they are not in the Lord yet are comfortable with us
then we have a problem as being Man or Woman of God.

Look at most leaders they openly ask you to compromise at places so as to
keep peace. They are people who will mostly praise and speak good things
but will rarely correct people who do wrong. Jesus did not always keep
correcting people over every single issue but He also did not support them
in those issues. He did look for favorable time for correction for those
who were victims but for the perpetrators He did not hold back. Time and
again we see Jesus rebuked the Pharisees and the Sadducees. Even on His
home front His own family members were not true believers. His brothers and
sisters (children of Mary and Joseph) did not acknowledge Him as Christ.
Some of them like Jude and James became believers only after His
crucifixion. His mother too was shaky in her faith in Him. There were times
when her saw her son as a weak human and not as Christ. Mark accounts a
time when she believed the people who said her son was possessed with an
evil spirit so she with her one of her sons went to see the wellbeing of
Jesus. This angered Jesus to the extent that He asked ‘who is my mother or
my brethren?’

We also see Mary along with the other women wanted to perform pagan
practice of embalming with spices on the body of Jesus on the third day.
This was not a Jewish practice nor given by the Lord in the OT. This was
practice of the Galilean Jews / northern Samarian Jews who were considered
gentiles by the orthodox Jews. Putting the body in the tomb along with
spices which they did in John 19:40 was a general Jewish [which was also
not commanded by the Lord] but what they came to do on the 3rd day was not
Jewish at all [this was also done to Lazarus and this made Jesus troubled
in spirit on knowing Martha and Mary had okayed this Egyptian influenced
practice, they had also called hired mourners and this more so made Him
weep].

Let us understand when God has chosen us we are called to bring change and
if people around us are comfortable with us then we are not doing an honest
job. We are called to pursue peace first with God and then will men. Those
who pursue peace with God are called Sons of God and not those who pursue
peace with men at the cost of offending God.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord we pray your people be people who bring change for many are trying to
make other comfortable in what they are. They feel to please man means to
please You. Lord we pray we do not fear man but fear You who have created
them and us also...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 13:55-57

55 Is not this the carpenter’s son? is not his mother called Mary? and his
brethren, James, and Joses, and Simon, and Judas?

56 And his sisters, are they not all with us? Whence then hath this man
all these things?

57 And they were offended in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is
not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house.

Mark 3:29-33

29 But he that shall blaspheme against the Holy Ghost hath never
forgiveness, but is in danger of eternal damnation:

30 Because they said, He hath an unclean spirit.

31 There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without,
sent unto him, calling him.

32 And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy
mother and thy brethren without seek for thee.

33 And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren?

Matthew 12:25-49

John 7:2-7

2 Now the Jews’ feast of tabernacles was at hand.

3 His brethren therefore said unto him, Depart hence, and go into Judaea,
that thy disciples also may see the works that thou doest.

4 For there is no man that doeth any thing in secret, and he himself
seeketh to be known openly. If thou do these things, shew thyself to the
world.

5 For neither did his brethren believe in him.

6 Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is
alway ready.

7 The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it,
that the works thereof are evil.

Mark 16:1 And when the sabbath was past, Mary Magdalene, and Mary the
mother of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might come
and anoint [grease] him.

John 19:40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes
with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

Mark 6:3-4

3 Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and
Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And
they were offended at him.

4 But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, but in his
own country, and among his own kin, and in his own house.

John 11:23-44

Faith in Man of God

Luke 17:13 And they lifted up their voices, and said, Jesus, Master, have
mercy on us.

In the Old Testament we read of people crying to the Lord for mercy and
they were healed like we see in today’s scripture where 10 lepers cried to
Jesus for mercy and they got healed. Jesus asked them to go and show
themselves to the priest since it was the priest who declared them clean or
unclean (if they had leprosy or not). They abided to the instructions of
Jesus and as they did that they received healing. We see as they were
travelling and realized they were healed of their leprosy one of them
returns to Jesus and falls on his face to His feet and glorifies God.

This incident has always being used as an example about being grateful to
God since Jesus asked about the other nine who did not return to thank God.
Jesus was very clear in His words ‘thy faith has made you whole’ He did not
say ‘thy gratefulness has made you whole’.

One can say the others too had faith else why would they abide in going to
show themselves to the priest unless they were healed. In the OT unless a
leper is already healed he cannot go to show himself to the priest. These
lepers abided first in Jesus’ instruction to show themselves to the priest
and as they went they were healed, so they did have faith in Jesus. Bible
also does not say the leprosy of the other nine returned since they did not
thank God, but Jesus told only the tenth who returned ‘thy faith hath made
thee whole’. The catch is these 9 lepers considered Jesus as a Man of God
and they abided in His instruction but the one who returned fell at the
feet of Jesus and he praised God that too at the feet of Jesus.

The Greek word ‘sozo’ translated here as ‘be whole’ is only twice
translated as ‘be whole’ but 93 times translated as ‘saved’. Jesus told him
‘thy faith has saved you’ because he did not consider Jesus just a Man of
God or a master but more than that.

When we pray and cry out for mercy or have faith in a Man of God we may
receive our healing but when we have faith in God then we receive more than
just healing.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You said in your Word not to be troubled for things of this world for
all that which is needed will be provided by our Heavenly Provider. You
also said not to fear the one who hurts or kills this body but fear Him who
can kill the soul and body in Hell. Lord let us realize when we have faith
in Men or Women of God we receive earthly things but when we have faith in
You we receive Heavenly things alone with earthly things. We pray our focus
be Heavenly more than earthly...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Luke 17:12-19

12 And as he entered into a certain village, there met him ten men that
were lepers, who stood afar off:

13 and they lifted up their voices, saying, Jesus, Master, have mercy on
us.

14 And when he saw them, he said unto them, Go and show yourselves unto
the priests. And it came to pass, as they went, they were cleansed.

15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, with a
loud voice glorifying God;

16 and he fell upon his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a
Samaritan.

17 And Jesus answering said, Were not the ten cleansed? but where are the
nine?

18 Were there none found that returned to give glory to God, save this
stranger?

19 And he said unto him, Arise, and go thy way: thy faith hath made thee
whole.

Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to
kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and
body in hell.

Post  Admin Mon 11 Jul 2016, 9:47 pm

Ezekiel 19:3 And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young
lion, and it learned to catch the prey; it devoured men.

In today's scripture the Lord is telling Israel its mother is a lioness
and she first bought up a young one which was not a lion but afterwards
she made her a young lion and this young lion preyed on men. This young
lion becomes very famous and the nations know of it. Then this young
lion was taken to confusion of living a dual life (a worldly life but in
God's name - Egypt means dual strait). This young lion being in
captivity was not effective in preying on men.

Later she brings up another young one who also is initially not a lion
but as she did with the previous she did with this young one and also
makes it a young lion. Unlike the previous this young lion not only
preys on men but also devours men.

One may wonder what the Lord is telling us through this scripture. This
prophetic warning is repeated many times in the books of the Prophets
yet we see the people are ignorant of it.

The word lion in Greek means brave but when we want to know meaning of
NT words related to the belief we need to go to the Hebrew or Aramaic
meaning for Jesus did not preach in Greek but in Hebrew and Aramaic.
Like Jesus said 'eat my bread, anyone who does not eat it will not have
life' in Hebrew the word 'bread' comes from the root word 'message', so
what He said anyone who does not eat His message will not have life.
Similarly the Hebrew word lion comes from the root word 'to gather' or
'to puck'. It also defines an aggressive way not a gentle way. People
think coming to the Lord is gentle but they are wrong, if a plant/branch
has to be cut and grafted to another then spiritually there is a great
violent activity.

If we see in Psalms 91 Satan is defined as young lion and serpent /
dragon. Young lion means one who does not mature. People think Satan
will stop us from going to Church, they are mistaken. His greater plan
is not of stopping us from going to church but of not letting us grow in
Spirit. Bible does not say God's children will inherit God's Kingdom but
says only Sons will inherit God's Kingdom. Bible also says only those
who are led by the Holy Spirit will mature into Sons of God. So the
greatest weapon that Satan uses is neither to allow people to understand
the Word of God nor be led by the Spirit of God because these will
mature them in the Lord.

If we look at today's prophecy, the Lord repeats this warning through
Ezekiel again in chapter 23 with an example of a prostitute and her two
daughters the first is named Aholah and the younger Aholibah. The first
name means 'her own tent' or in another words she worships her own self
for the tabernacle was a tent, the second name means 'woman of the tent'
point to the 'strange woman' that they worship.

In Zechariah 5 also the Lord talks of these two. When Zachariah picks
the lid it is written he uses the word wickedness. The Hebrew word used
here is 'rish'ah' which occurs only 15 times in the Bible and defines a
great depth of evil like in Deuteronomy 9:5. The Lord also confirms to
Zechariah that these women are to do with church since they wear the
ephod [Shinar means "country of two rivers" like Egypt is land of dual
strait]. Israel did not face challenges to go to Egypt but did when
coming out. Satan wants to keep us in spiritual Egypt / Shinar.

Let us not think just because we are in Church we are safe. Let us be
aware the greatest spiritual battle is fought not outside the Church but
inside the Church for Satan is very active working inside the Church. As
God is working in the Churches so is Satan also actively working in the
Churches and the only way to defeat him is to mature ourselves in the
Word and be led in the Spirit for those who do that are not called
people of faith but are called people of authority.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord as man Jesus You were feared by the evil spirits for You had
authority over them. Sickness and weaknesses would not stand before You
for You had authority over them too. Lord Your coming as man and your
Gospel did activate the seed of faith which we were given in the
beginning but more so You came to give us authority. Lord we pray your
people do not get devoured or fall prey to the young lion but mature
into Sons of God...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Ezekiel 19:1-6

1Moreover take thou up a lamentation for the princes of Israel,

2And say, What is thy mother? A lioness: she lay down among lions, she
nourished her whelps among young lions.

3And she brought up one of her whelps: it became a young lion, and it
learned to catch the prey; it devoured men.

4The nations also heard of him; he was taken in their pit, and they
brought him with chains unto the land of Egypt.

5Now when she saw that she had waited, and her hope was lost, then she
took another of her whelps, and made him a young lion.

6And he went up and down among the lions, he became a young lion, and
learned to catch the prey, and devoured men.

Psalms 91:13Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and
the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.

Ezekiel 23:2-37

Zechariah 5

Deuteronomy 9:5Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of
thine heart, dost thou go to possess their land: but for the wickedness
of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee,
and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers,
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Woe unto the one who betrays Him

Matthew 26:23,24 And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with
me in the dish, the same shall betray me. The Son of man goeth as it is
written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed!
it had been good for that man if he had not been born.

Here in today’s message we read Jesus says woe unto the one who betrays Him
(Son of Man). Jesus goes on to say it was better that the person had not
been born then to have betrayed Him. We may think this was only for Judas;
it is for us too.

Today’s scripture does not talk of those who reject the Son of Man, it
speaks of those who betray Him meaning those who know the Son of Man but
yet have rejected His Will or His Word just to fulfill their desires like
Judas did.

What Christians do not realize when the Son of Man comes in His glory He
will judge between His flock for He says He will separate the goats from
the sheep. Now goats and sheep are part of the flock.

Today’s message talks of betrayal and to betray one needs to know the
person. The more closer the person is and still betrays, the more worse is
the betrayal and more worse will be the punishment.

Like Paul says let us work our salvation with fear and trembling. Yes
Christ has given us salvation for free but it is our holding on to it and
abiding in it until the end that matters. It is only those who sustain to
the end are truly saved.

Paul says we all who believe in Him will stand before the Throne of
judgment on which the Son of Man will be seated. Jesus says it pleased the
Father for Him to Judge since He is the Son of Man. Jesus also says He will
not judge but the words He has spoken to us which is the Will of the Father
those words will judge us. On that day we will not be able to justify
anything, unless today we make our minds and we start to abide in His words
and in the Will of the Father.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are a Merciful God but You also are Righteous and what You have
spoken You do not take back or cancel. You cursed sin to death and to save
man from death You came as man and became sin by taking our sins on
yourself, You died and went to hell but overcame hell and death since there
was no sin in You. By your overcoming hell those who believe in You are
also saved from it. Lord You gave us your Spirit so that we not only
overcome hell but also be able to go to Heaven by being born again in
spirit. It is your Spirit who enables us to abide in the Word, in your
Will. Lord we pray we surrender to your Spirit and thus be saved from the
punishment. We pray we stand among the sheep and not among the goats on
Judgment Day...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

John 5:19-30

John 12:

47 And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I
came not to judge the world, but to save the world.

48 He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth
him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

49 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave
me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak.

Matthew 25:31-33

31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels
with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:

32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate
them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:

33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.

Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall
speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

Romans 14:10 But why dost thou judge thy brother? or why dost thou set at
nought thy brother? for we shall all stand before the judgment seat of
Christ.

2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of
Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according
to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.

2 Peter 2:9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations,
and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:

1 Corinthians 1:21 For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom
knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them
that believe.

Key of David

Matthew 1:4And Aram [Ram] begat Aminadab; and Aminadab begat Naasson;
and Naasson begat Salmon;

When we read the Gospel according to Matthew, he notes the genealogy
from Abraham to Jacob the father of Joseph the husband of Mary. Luke
records from Adam to Heli the father in law of Joseph and father of
Mary. Now all these people are connected to the birth of Jesus.

Are all of them blessed? Yes.

The fact they were connected to the birth of our Lord and savior Jesus
Christ makes all of them blessed.

Does that mean we need to give reverence to them? No.

If we look at the genealogy of Jesus in Matthew which lists from Abraham
to Judas [Judah] and from Judas to David we have 9 generations in
between. The names are also given in the book of Ruth. From Adam to
Zorobabel we have mention of them in the Bible but from Zorobabel's son
Abiud to Jacob who was the father of Joseph there is no mention of them
anywhere else in the OT. If we go by Luke's genealogy which traces Mary,
we see she comes from Zorobabel's other son Rhesa and from Rhesa to Heli
her father there is no mention anywhere in the OT.

So the common genealogy between Mary and her husband Joseph is from Adam
to Zorobabel who was taken to Babylon. If we look at the Old Testament
it basically records this period and after this period there was no
Prophet / Man of God until coming of John the Baptist came to announce
the birth of Jesus Christ and the New Testament starts with the coming
of John the Baptist.

When Jesus was referred to by His ancestors it was mostly David or
Abraham or Mary and none other are mentioned. We see the Catholic Church
puts Mary above all even though in all the genealogy David is mentioned
more. Jesus was called the 'Son of David' more than the 'son of Mary'.
Does that mean the statues of Mary need to be replaced by David? No.

Nor Mary, nor David, nor Abraham need to be given reverence, they were
just milestones along the journey to Jesus Christ. The reason they are
mentioned is because a promise were given to them. David was promised a
King who's Kingdom will be eternal, Abraham was promised a seed in whom
all the nations will be blessed and Mary was promised to be the virgin
who will give birth to the Savior. Now if you look at the importance of
promises we see the promise of David stands tall then that of Abraham or
of Mary. If His Kingdom was forever then the nations would surely have
to be blessed in Him and the King surely had to come for His Kingdom. So
the others were means to fulfill the promise of David, thus the promise
of David becomes the Key. He also is the one who decides who is in the
Kingdom and who is not and none can change that.

The Greek word for 'to give reverence' in Bible, is also translated as
'to hallow' or 'to sanctify'. This is what is done to God; we give
reverence to Him and His Name. It is also what God does to us; He
sanctifies us through His Word, Son and Spirit. Giving reverence is
something we cannot do to each other. If we look at the term 'being
sanctified' in Christ that is something all who are baptized in Him and
His Spirit go through, so all who are in Christ should be reverenced not
any specific person.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You alone are God and there is no other than You. You alone are
worthy of praise and glory. We pray Lord your people do not lift people.
You are a God who does not share your glory. We pray our discernment and
understanding increases and we walk more sturdily in your ways...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Ruth 4:18-22

18Now these are the generations of Pharez: Pharez begat Hezron,

19And Hezron begat Ram, and Ram begat Amminadab,

20And Amminadab begat Nahshon, and Nahshon begat Salmon,

21And Salmon begat Boaz, and Boaz begat Obed,

22And Obed begat Jesse, and Jesse begat David.

Matthew 1:1The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David,
the son of Abraham.

Matthew 9:27And when Jesus departed thence, two blind men followed him,
crying, and saying, Thou Son of David, have mercy on us.

Matthew 21:9And the multitudes that went before, and that followed,
cried, saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in
the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest.

Isaiah 22:22And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his
shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and
none shall open.

Revelation 3:7And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write;
These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the
key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no
man openeth;

Exodus 20:11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and
all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD
blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

Luke 11:2And he said unto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art
in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as
in heaven, so in earth.

God uses the little for greater

Acts 22:12 And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a
good report of all the Jews which dwelt there,

Paul is known as a mighty man of God. After Jesus he shines most in the
NT. His knowledge and understanding of scriptures was unmatched at that
time, even the 11 Apostles who were trained by Jesus in His 3 years
ministry acknowledged Paul as an authority in this matter. The number of
churches Paul started (directly or indirectly) was in hundreds, Churches
in the whole of Europe and North Africa were the seeds of Paul. The
Christianity we know today in the world has spread from Europe even
though some Apostles went to different parts of the world.

We see in today's scripture to initiate this mighty Man of God, God used
a little known person Ananias. Here we see the only description given of
Ananias is that he was a devout righteous man who kept the Law and one
who also had a good report with all the Jews which dwelt there.

We may not be great Preachers or Evangelist or Healers or famous Men or
Women of God but we can surely be used like Ananias. Lord can use us to
be the person to initiate many mighty Men and Women of God of tomorrow
provided we hear the voice of God and abide in it like Ananias did. We
are also called to live a life pleasing to God doing right in the little
things for they please God more.

Everyone may not know this Ananias but God knows and Paul surely will
never forget. Every time Paul prayed surely he must have thanked God for
Ananias and must have blessed him. Imagine the riches Ananias holds in
Heaven for he too had a share in the harvest of Paul.

If we are not called to be Paul let us be Ananias. Let us be those
little ones who are used to start the mighty ones.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord we praise and thank You for using all who desire to be used for
your Kingdom, You bless them in various ways so that they collect great
riches in Heaven. Lord we pray if we do not become like Paul let us be
like Ananias and be used to initiate many Pauls today. Help we live a
life like Ananias and are attentive and obedient to your voice like
Ananias...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]

Acts 22:11-16

11And when I could not see for the glory of that light, being led by the
hand of them that were with me, I came into Damascus.

12And one Ananias, a devout man according to the law, having a good
report of all the Jews which dwelt there,

13Came unto me, and stood, and said unto me, Brother Saul, receive thy
sight. And the same hour I looked up upon him.

14And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that thou
shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the
voice of his mouth.

15For thou shalt be his witness unto all men of what thou hast seen and
heard.

16And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy
sins, calling on the name of the Lord.

Acts 9:9-19

9And he was three days without sight, and neither did eat nor drink.

10And there was a certain disciple at Damascus, named Ananias; and to
him said the Lord in a vision, Ananias. And he said, Behold, I am here,
Lord.

11And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the street which is
called Straight, and enquire in the house of Judas for one called Saul,
of Tarsus: for, behold, he prayeth,

12And hath seen in a vision a man named Ananias coming in, and putting
his hand on him, that he might receive his sight.

13Then Ananias answered, Lord, I have heard by many of this man, how
much evil he hath done to thy saints at Jerusalem:

14And here he hath authority from the chief priests to bind all that
call on thy name.

15But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto
me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of
Israel:

16For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

17And Ananias went his way, and entered into the house; and putting his
hands on him said, Brother Saul, the Lord, even Jesus, that appeared
unto thee in the way as thou camest, hath sent me, that thou mightest
receive thy sight, and be filled with the Holy Ghost.

18And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he
received sight forthwith, and arose, and was baptized.

19And when he had received meat, he was strengthened. Then was Saul
certain days with the disciples which were at Damascus.

The ways of the enemy

Daniel 11:25And he shall stir up his power and his courage against the
king of the south with a great army; and the king of the south shall be
stirred up to battle with a very great and mighty army; but he shall not
stand: for they shall forecast devices against him.

Today's scripture talks of a prophecy which was later fulfilled and is
also documented in the books of Maccabees [Apocrypha - extra books which
are not Canon / part of the Bible but can be read as historical or
reference books]. The prophecy says Antiochus shall arouse himself, and
exert his courage, and gather a large and powerful army, and set out
with them to fight with Ptolemy Philometor, king of Egypt; this was his
second expedition into Egypt, before that he went into Egypt more
privately, with a few men, under a pretense of friendship; but now he
went more openly as an enemy, with a large army.

In this event Antiochus went for the first time to Egypt as a friend. He
went with few men and he stayed there for a short time. Later he went
again to Egypt but not as a friend but as an enemy and that too with a
large army. In history there is no record of any untoward incident that
happened during his first stay, so clearly before he went there the
first time he already had mollified intentions and was on reconnaissance
mission to gauge the strength and weaknesses of Egypt.

Today the Lord is alerting us of the ways of the enemy. The accuser, the
deceiver whom we call Satan does not come directly as an enemy but comes
as a friend with innocent thoughts. He may even please us as a friend
but when he understands our weaknesses he comes again but this time not
as a friend but as an enemy, he will exploit our weakness to the point
of destroying us.

Let us be alert and discern everything in our lives especially the small
thoughts which the deceiver puts into our minds. These thoughts may seem
innocent thoughts and may entertain us but they can come back and become
our destruction.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord we pray we guard our hearts and minds like a kingdom at war. We
pray we do not ignore the small things for we know the enemy will
explore our weakness and incautiousness to make ground for his attack
and our destruction. Lord we pray we walk in spirit and be alive in
spirit more than in the natural...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen

The Angel who came as a man

Daniel 10:16 And, behold, one like the similitude of the sons of men
touched my lips: then I opened my mouth, and spake, and said unto him
that stood before me, O my lord, by the vision my sorrows are turned
upon me, and I have retained no strength.

Across the Bible from Genesis to Revelation we have this character that
appears many a times as a man but is referred to as Angel and also as Lord.

People may say Angels are spirit being and have power to take any form.
Unlike other religions, if we see throughout the Bible Angels took only
form of men and not of animals or any other creature. But there was this
specific Angel who appears as man, commanded the other Angels and they
abide to His command and was called Lord.

I initially started Bible study using Dake's Study Bible and when I read
a foot note I was taken back with Dake's stating that the Lord appeared
as an Angel. Some advised me to avoid that Bible due to this comment,
which I did for a period but then as I studied on my own I was amazed
with the Truth. The one scripture that really shocked me was in
Revelation 22:13 where the characteristic of Alpha and Omega which is
the characteristic of the Lord and of Christ is claimed by an Angel (the
conversation starts from Revelation 22:8).

It is good that the Lord had opened my understanding before that to know
Him else people would have accused me of being a Jehovah 's Witness who
think Christ was an Angel and not God the Son.

As Christians we know there is one God and we also know the Son is God
and His Spirit is God and yet they are one in the Father God. When Moses
dared to ask the Lord to see His glory, Lord had to refuse so as to save
his life, so God showed him his back (shadow) of His glory but not His
face (true glory - God is not being of flesh to have front and back).
What may be more interesting to note this was not Father God. Moses a
man who spoke to God like man talks to another was not worthy to see His
true glory that too not of the Father (John 1:18 says no being has seen
the Father other than the Son). We need to understand who God is and how
He being so Holy, before whom no sinner or corrupt being can exist still
managed to attend to us corrupt beings and dwell among us while not
compromising His Nature / Name.

There were so many questions initially like how and why did God create
Satan and fallen angels even though He knew. How could a perfect and
all-knowing God make mistakes? All these were answered when I came to
know more of Him. What was more awesome was to know all this was just
because of His plans for us.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are God and You are Holy. Before You Lord sin cannot exist but
yet You Lord allowed sin to come into existence so that it would be
dealt with once for all. You Lord are life and You desire all things
have life eternal and this life can exist only in your Name, for that
You manifested your Name so that in your Name they may live. Father we
thank You for we who are low like worms have been lifted up for great
things in Heaven...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Genesis 18:1-2

1And the LORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in
the tent door in the heat of the day;

2And he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him:
and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed
himself toward the ground,

Daniel 12:5-13

5Then I Daniel looked, and, behold, there stood other two, the one on
this side of the bank of the river, and the other on that side of the
bank of the river.

6And one said to the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of
the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

7And I heard the man clothed in linen, which was upon the waters of the
river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and
sware by him that liveth for ever that it shall be for a time, times,
and an half; and when he shall have accomplished to scatter the power of
the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

8And I heard, but I understood not: then said I, O my Lord, what shall
be the end of these things?

Revelation 22:8-13

8And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and
seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed
me these things.

9Then saith he unto me, See thou do it not: for I am thy fellowservant,
and of thy brethren the prophets, and of them which keep the sayings of
this book: worship God.

10And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this
book: for the time is at hand.

11He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy,
let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous
still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.

12And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every
man according as his work shall be.

13I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last.

1 Thessalonians 4:16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with
a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and
the dead in Christ shall rise first:

2 Thessalonians 1:7And to you who are troubled rest with us, when the
Lord Jesus shall be revealed from heaven with his mighty angels,

Destiny or faith

John 6:65 And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come
unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.

In Islam we see Allah chooses whom he chooses and deceives whom he
desires. The Qur'an openly states many times that Allah is the 'Best
Deceiver' Qur'an 3:54, Qur'an 7:99, Qur'an 8:30, Qur'an 10:21, Qur'an
13:42. If we go by the Bible we find the deceiving character is not
God's nature but the nature of Satan.

If we read today's message one may ask is God like Allah, one who
decides who will be saved? Since one cannot be saved unless one knows
the Lord Jesus Christ and the scripture says unless the Father allows
one to know the Son none can come to Him.

Christianity is a free will belief that means one has to choose to
become a Christian and if one does not choose to become a Christian one
cannot become one, leaving for the few elect whom God has chosen even
before they are born. That means unless one realises they are a sinner
and knows the consequence of their sins one cannot repent and come to
God through Christ to become a Christian. One does not become a
Christian by doing this but this is just the start of the journey of
change which the Spirit of God does on that person, Christ is just the
door to Christianity and the Holy Spirit is the potter who make one
Christian (Christ like). Many stand at the door and think they are
already Christians.

Destiny means the end result is decided and the recipient has no control
over it. It is like a fast flowing river and the person is sitting in
the raft without any paddles, thus has no option but to go with the flow.

Faith on the other hand means believing in the Truth. It is a choice
which one takes to believe or not to believe, and what or how much to
believe. So faith is relative, even though all Christians believe in the
same yet how much of the 'same' they believe varies from person to person.

Christianity (life) is based on faith and not destiny; it gives choice
and is based on free will. Scriptures like today's message and others
like one which state the Book of Life already has the names of those who
will enter Heaven so anyone whose name is not in the Book of Life is not
one who will enter Heaven, these are still faith based and not destiny
based. The twist here is of knowing God the author of the Bible. God is
omnipresent which means present across space (everywhere), across
dimension (across Heavens) and across time (in our past, our present and
our future at the same time). So for God everything is before His eyes
(figurative) and nothing is hidden from Him. So when God allows or does
not allow it means He have seen the result. He is not like Allah who
deceives or influences the down fall, but He does influence the rise,
which means when we go the right path He encourages. There are rare
times when an individual causes great harm to His people (those going
the right path) where God does quicken that person's down fall by
hardening further that person's heart.

Let us as Christians not think we become Christians just by believing in
Christ. Christ is the door and by our faith in Christ we have opened the
door to become Christians. It is the walk of faith with the help of the
Holy Spirit that we become Christians. God knows how our walk will be
and thus has written the report already. God desires we have good result
but it is our desire which matters most. So if we have come to know
Christ it means we have great chances of having good result provided we
hold on to the faith and walk the path of change with the Holy Spirit.

[Prayer Starter]

Father God we thank You for finding us worthy to know your Son Jesus
Christ. Father we know we have hope for good results. We pray our faith
increases and we do not let go of the Truth for the desires of the
carnal self, we become overcomers and part victors in Christ who has
already overcome...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born?

5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born

6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the

7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again [from above].

John 1:11-13

Do not be red

Amos 1:11, 12Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and
for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did
pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his
anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever: But I will
send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.

To understand today's scripture one need to have knowledge of Bible
numeric and Bible symbolism.

Here the scripture (even other scriptures in this chapter) talks of 'for
three transgressions' and 'for four'. Four symbolizes earthly or natural
while first three are spirit oriented.

Edom means red / ruddy. Adam is a similar Hebrew word and means red but
accurately means 'to be red'. Adam as a noun means man and as adjective
means to be full of life. Edom on the other had means to be full of anger.

Today's message is for us and the Lord is telling us in today's message
when we keep anger against a brother in mind / spirit, God does not take
action against us but when we manifest this anger in the natural by
speaking against the brother or by our actions then the Lord will punish
us for that.

Today's message the Lord talks of punishment in 2 areas one is Teman
which means south and symbolizes the person's righteousness. It also was
the place the sons of Edom dwelled so the Lord does not pull up only our
righteousness but also the righteousness of our children. Second area is
Bozrah which means sheepfold, the hedge that protects them. In other
words the Lord says when we keep anger and manifest this anger in the
natural against our brother than the Lord will attack our righteousness
and our hedge of protection.

There are cases where people had kept anger and let it manifest into
hatred over many year. The person forgot the main incident but the
bitterness remained inside and the bitterness manifested into serious
sickness. The moment the person was make aware of the area of
un-forgiveness and the person forgave, the person got healed.

To be angry is not sin but keeping anger is dangerous for we risk the
chance of that anger to overtake our sanity and we start to manifest
this anger in the natural; when we manifest this anger against a brother
(including sister mature in the Lord) than we risk the Lord's punishment
on our own righteousness and on our hedge of protection.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are a merciful God and slow to anger. You Lord have at times
given man hundreds of years to repent before You punished man. In your
Word You Lord have advised not to let the sun (symbolizing grace) go
down on our anger. It is only by grace that we can overcome anger and we
need to learn to be full of grace as You Lord are with us. Help us Lord
to overcome anger and never to be Edom, let anger overtake us...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen

[Reference Scriptures]

Colossians 3:8But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice,
blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth.

Ephesians 4:26Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon
your wrath:

Numbers 25:4And the LORD said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the
people, and hang them up before the LORD against the sun, that the
fierce anger of the LORD may be turned away from Israel.

Matthew 18:21-22

21Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin
against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but,
Until seventy times seven.

Luke 17:3Take heed to yourselves: If thy brother trespass against thee,
rebuke him; and if he repent, forgive him.

This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled

Matthew 24:33,34So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know
that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This
generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Jesus started the conversation of today's message with word 'See to that
no one misleads you'; the words just before today's message Jesus speaks
of the fig tree. Just after today's message Jesus says 'Heaven and earth
shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away'. Between these
sentences Jesus points to many milestones including His glorious return.

To understand today's message one needs to have understanding of spirit
life. We live because our spirit lives, even when we die naturally our
spirit still lives. Note in today's message Jesus says 'this
generation', He does not say Christian generation but talks of all in
the generation that exited then.

Be it a person who believes or does not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ
both live after they die their natural death, the only thing that varies
is the state of their spirit. The spirit of the person who does not
believe in the Lord Jesus Christ goes to Hell and suffers his or her
sins (the fire is within). The spirit of the person who believes rests
in a place called Grave. The Hebrew word Sheowl translated as grave /
hell comes from the root word which means to borrow / ask. The actual
Hebrew word for Hell is Geenna and occurs only 12 times in the
scriptures; it roots from the word valley and pride.

Most Christians do not have clear understanding of the term 'eternity'.
They know those who are saved in the Lord Jesus Christ and go to Heaven
are given the gift to live for eternity. What they do not know is how.

Life to live eternally within oneself is only in God the Father and this
ability He has given to His Son for the Son is part of Him. No being in
Heaven or on earth or even in Hell has the ability to live eternally.
All created beings have a finite spirit life and its property varies
accord the complexity of the being. Humans are simple spirit beings like
the Angels but are lower than the Angels. Humans like Angels have one
spirit being, Cherubs on other hand are complex spirit beings having
multiple spirit beings (in thousands) yet is one being therefore are
high on hierarchy and lead the Angels. They are also called Beasts,
Morning Star or Light Bearers (Lucifer / Satan was one among these).

We as humans can live eternally only if we enter Heaven and have access
to the Tree of Life with its twelve Fruits. We eat of this Tree only
when we come towards the end of spirit life that is why Adam who had
access to the Tree yet did not eat of it, God removed his access by
restricting him and Eve from entering Eden (Garden of Eden/Paradise is
in Upper Heaven which they had access to before they sinned, to
understand for this we need to study transfiguration). Jesus as man
confirmed He overcame by His transfiguration. In Paul's letters to
Romans and Corinth, Paul confirms we too will transfigure / be
transformed from corrupt beings to incorruptible beings. This happens
when the Truth is whole in us for Truth sets us free from corruption (sin).

Let us understand life and let us not think there is an exit from life,
even if we die naturally we still continue to live. Euthanasia or
suicide is foolishness for this life is thousand times better than the
life behind the curtain for those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus
Christ. It is like jumping from the pan into the fire. Also if a person
believes in Lord Jesus Christ than would they kill themselves? If they
do than can they say they believe?

A few days back someone was discussing with me about a person suffering
from terminal illness. The person felt sad seeing the suffering which
the person was going through, so commented it is better to for them to
die than to suffer like this. I ask the person 'do you know the
suffering that waits after death if the person does not believe in the
Lord Jesus Christ'. So let us do our best and show mercy and keep them
alive as much as we can.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord, all living beings are created by You for You alone are Creator.
The Son is part of You and therefore He alone has ability to live
eternally like You. Lord You have made facility for us to live eternally
in Heaven when we get access to the Tree of Life and eat of its twelve
Fruits. Lord we pray we understand spirit life and thus not be misled by
anyone...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

How we do it is as important

Romans 12:8 Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let
him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that
sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness.

If we go to a 5 star hotel and we get bad service what will be our
reaction? Will be satisfied with what is given? Will we ignore the way
it is given? But if we go to a street side counter and get that same
kind of service will we complain?

Our expectation increases with the respect and esteem we hold of the
place. Now we need to ask ourselves what is the respect or esteem we
have for the Kingdom of God?

We as Christians dwell in the Kingdom of God and if we are of the
Kingdom of God and someone comes to His Kingdom, how are we the citizens
of His Kingdom to deal or serve such a person. Are we to serve like a
street corner setup or greater than a 5 star facility? What we give is
as important to how we give it. We need to serve the good things of His
Kingdom and we need to do with the best of our ability and our goodness.

Jesus said you will know the tree from its fruit that means the output
will define what the source is. What we hold gifts which are from God
then can we serve in any unworthy manner?

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Almighty and merciful God. You radiate the goodness that is
in You. Lord we pray if we as your children state You are in us then let
us too radiate You and your goodness as You do and which was manifested
in the flesh in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen...

[Reference Scriptures]

Matthew 7:17-18

17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree
bringeth forth evil fruit.

18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree
bring forth good fruit.

R.D SOUZA Saved by faith - Page 24 Empty Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith

Post  Admin Fri 10 Jun 2016, 10:57 pm

Does Jesus desire us to touching Him?

Mark 3:10 For he had healed many; insomuch that they pressed upon him
for to touch him, as many as had plagues.

Just today as I logged on to the net I read about an incident that
happened in India where people saw water was dripping from a statue of
Jesus crucified, they people thought it was a miracle. Later when a
person investigated they found it was toilet water.

Between the time of people think it was a miracle to the time of
investigation we do not know how many people filled bottles and shared
with others especially the sick which may have drank it or even applied
it to their bodies. They may have done it in faith but is that faith?

All miracles are not godly for we see when the Lord told Moses to throw
his rod on the floor before the Pharaoh, Moses' rod turned into a
serpent and when Pharaoh called his sorcerers they too threw their rods
and their rods too turned into serpents.

In today's scripture we see that when Jesus was with the people, the
people pressed on to touch Him and as many touched Him, they were healed
and delivered of evil spirits, yet we see Jesus preferred to distant
Himself and climbed into a boat so as to prevent them for touching Him.

Now ask the question why did Jesus do that? Is this not the same Jesus
who read in Luke 4:18 that He was sent to let the blind to see, set the
captives free, to heal the broken hearted. We also see in the chapter
before when Jesus entered Capernaum and was preaching in a house, many
people gathered. It is written so many people gathered that there was no
place in the house. We do not read Jesus tried to escape from there.
It's by understanding the priorities of Jesus we understand why Jesus
went on to the boat to avoid the crowd in today's message.

Note when people were hearing Him Jesus did not try to flee the crowd
but when people were only interested in healings and not in hearing Him,
He fled the crowd.

If we want Jesus we need to give priority to hearing and abiding to Him
Word. If we only are only going to run after miracles and blessings that
come from Him then we may receive some of them but soon Jesus Christ
will flee from us and be in a place where we will not be able to reach Him.

He came (was sent) primarily set the spiritually blind to see, the
deliver those who are spiritually captive free, heal those who are
spiritually broken and set liberty to those who are spiritually bruised.

Even the woman with an issue of blood touched Jesus we need to study the
background to understand how she stole a healing from Him. She touched
His hem that too in a crowd where to bend down that to a sick woman
would be foolishness for one can be stampeded to death. She did that for
she was not a Jew and she knew why Jews put a blue hem to their robe and
she wanted to touch the blue hem Jesus' robe.

Let us not first seek earthly thing from the King of the Kingdom of God
but seek first spiritual things for it is said if we seek His Kingdom
first all our earthly needs will be added unto us.

[Prayer Starter]

Lord You are Spirit and your Kingdom is forever. Even though the earth
and the whole universe belongs to You yet these are temporary. As your
children You desire we seek You and your Kingdom first so that we have
life eternal. You are Father and it does not please You to see your
children lacking anything even if it is earthly and thus You fulfill
even earthly needs, but those who seek first earthly things, can they be
called your children? Father may we be first your children...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

Exodus 7:10-12

10And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD
had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before
his servants, and it became a serpent.

11Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the
magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.

12For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but
Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.

Luke 4:18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me
to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the
brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of
sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,

Mark 2:1-4

1And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised
that he was in the house.

2And straightway many were gathered together, insomuch that there was no
room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached
the word unto them.

3And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne
of four.

4And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they
uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they
let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay.

Matthew 9:20And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of
blood twelve years, came behind him, and touched the hem of his garment:

Matthew 14:36And besought him that they might only touch the hem of his
garment: and as many as touched were made perfectly whole.
