If you are not a fan of the Trump administration, there are real things you can do to affect change.

You can vote. You can work with your local lawmakers. You can even sign a petition or three, if that’s your thing.

And yet, you almost never see or hear about crazed far-leftists doing anything productive to actually try to combat the administration they loathe so much.

Instead, they resort to things like petty vandalism and name-calling. You know, unproductive things.

Take, for example, Austin Clay. He garnered his 15 minutes of notoriety by taking a pickaxe to President Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in July.

Clay gloated about the ordeal when he gave a quick interview with TMZ.

“I think I did, like, a real good act,” Clay said. “Personally, I don’t feel resentful. I feel proud of myself.”

That interview was given in late July. Today, however, TMZ learned that Clay has been slapped with one count of felony vandalism for what he did to Trump’s star.

If convicted, Clay could spend up to three years in county jail. If his July interview is anything to go by, it doesn’t sound like Clay will have any remorse.

“I just felt really passionate because of what happened with the immigrants and him (Trump) stripping children away from their parents,” Clay said. “And that just sort of set me off.”

Clay then proceeded to insult all of the people who helped elect Trump into office.

“I think Donald Trump represents everything that everybody with half a brain and half a heart in this country resents,” Clay noted.

For what it’s worth, Clay claimed to have gotten some verbal support from the far-leftists in Hollywood.

“Robert De Niro left me a voice message,” Clay claimed. “He wanted to say … he wanted to give me a high-five. Chelsea Handler (who wanted to know if he was single), Mark Hamill.”

So just to recap, Clay committed a felony to try and send a message to Trump. In reality, his actions will have no literal impact or change on the Trump administration.

He did, however, get to hobnob with some leftists in Hollywood. But it all came at the expense of spending up to three years in jail.
I hope it was worth it, Clay. (Spoiler alert: If you’re convicted, it most certainly won’t be.)

Bill O’Reilly offers to handle ‘out of line’ reporters for Sarah Huckabee Sanders
Watching White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders respond to a barrage of “gotcha” questions aimed at discrediting the Donald Trump administration every single day leads viewers to one inescapable conclusion: she doesn’t need any help formulating responses to the highest paid and most professional “trolls” in the business — the mainstream media.

However, former Fox News superstar Bill O’Reilly seems to think otherwise, and recently offered to stand beside the press secretary during future briefings to deal with any reporters who get “out of line.”

An “honest offer”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Mr. O’Reilly’s proposition, which he called an “honest offer,” came during a weekend soirée, where he met Sanders for the first time. The former cable news icon approached the communications director and said:

Ms. Sanders, with all due respect, if you ever need me to stand next to you in those press briefings, I will volunteer to do that. And, if somebody gets out of line, I will tell them exactly what I think of their behavior.

After Sanders responded with a laugh, O’Reilly assured her that President Donald Trump might find his recommendation “just flamboyant enough to OK it.”

O’Reilly followed up later with a complimentary tweet about the press secretary, calling Sanders a “very smart woman” and “a patriot” and deploring the press’ poor treatment of her.

Relating the episode on his online show, O’Reilly said that, “as usual,” he did most of the talking.

“I told her that she is doing a great job, in the sense that it’s not a partisan play,” O’Reilly said. “She’s representing her country in very difficult circumstances, extremely difficult, and she’s a patriot — you know, she’s taken an enormous amount of abuse, enormous.”

Liberal responses ranged from disgust to outrage following the news that O’Reilly was offering to help the press secretary with any petulant reporters who happened to get “out of line.”

She’s got it covered
While the press secretary job is undoubtedly challenging, Sanders has proven she’s more than capable of defending herself and the Trump administration from the reporter-activists who increasingly populate the James S. Brady Press Briefing Room at the White House.

After a particularly corrosive White House correspondents’ dinner last week during which comedian Michelle Wolf attacked both her integrity and appearance, Sanders responded with pure class.

“I think that evening says a whole lot more about her than it does about me,” she said of the profanity-laced monologue.

Liberal judge maintains injunction against Trump’s policy barring transgenders from military service

Until very recently, potential military recruits whose parents sent them to see a behavioral counselor as a young child were barred from military service. Yet, enlistees with “gender identity disorder” who are 20 times more likely to commit or attempt suicide than other military personnel are allowed to serve without even considering the implications of their mental state.

This is the military’s latest nonsensical recruiting standard after U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly wrote an opinion that continues an injunction on President Donald Trump’s transgender ban and rejects his attempt to dismiss a lawsuit challenging the policy.

Preserving Obama’s social engineering mandate
The Trump administration sought to undo former President Barack Obama’s social engineering mandate. Under the mandate, not only were transgenders suffering from gender dysphoria allowed to serve, but these volunteers could also undergo lengthy, risky and expensive sex reassignment surgery on the taxpayer’s dime. Four federal judges from various district courts across the nation placed a preliminary injunction on Trump’s original transgender ban last year, prompting the president to revise the executive action and issue a modified order authored by Secretary of Defense James Mattis.

This “flurry of federal-court activity,” as The Washington Post sympathetically called it, was in line with the left’s latest obstructive strategy of resisting the president’s agenda. Lacking majorities in Congress, state assemblies and governorships, progressives have turned to the federal courts. Activist judges legislated from the bench in a such a flagrant display of judicial overreach, they elicited warnings from the Supreme Court.

Justice Clarence Thomas addressed this judicial activism in his concurring opinion striking down another federal court injunction, this one aimed at obstructing the president’s travel ban. He wrote that:

… injunctions are beginning to take a toll on the federal court system – preventing legal questions from percolating through the federal courts, encouraging forum shopping, and making every case a national emergency for the courts and for the Executive Branch.

Still, Judge Kollar-Kotelly, carefully selected from a national surplus of liberal district judges, failed to heed the Supreme Court’s warning, keeping the transgender ban injunction in place and allowing a civil suit to proceed. She argued that Mattis’s revised policy did not differ significantly from the conditions presented in the administration’s previous order.

“Instead, at a fundamental level, the Mattis Implementation Plan is just that — a plan that implements the president’s directive that transgender people be excluded from the military,” wrote the progressive-minded magistrate who happens to be an appointee from the Clinton administration. Kollar-Kotelly continued:

Nothing in this Memorandum Opinion represents a final adjudication of whether defendants’ actions were constitutional. The court merely holds that whatever legal relevance the Mattis Implementation Plan might have, it has not fundamentally changed the circumstances of this lawsuit such that plaintiffs’ claims should be dismissed for lack of jurisdiction, or that the need for the court’s preliminary injunction has dissipated.

Ignoring the experts
Despite the district court’s decision, Mattis’s memorandum establishing the transgender ban differs significantly from the administration’s original plan. Perhaps the most significant improvement stems from the Pentagon study which underpins Mattis’s directive.

The Secretary of Defense formed a study group consisting of “transgender Service members. commanders of transgender Service members, military medical professionals and civilian medical professionals with experience in the care and treatment of individuals with gender dysphoria.” The service secretaries, senior military officers and, most importantly, combat veteran were also consulted.

The study identified substantial risks associated with the recruitment of transgenders. The Pentagon concluded:

Transgender persons with gender dysphoria suffer from high rates of mental health conditions such as anxiety, depression, and substance use disorders. High rates of suicide ideation, attempts, and completion among people who are transgender are also well documented in the medical literature, with lifetime rates of suicide attempts reported to be as high as 41 % (compared to 4.6% for the general population).

The average service member accessed mental health care 2.7 times during their career, while transgenders utilized this service more than 28 times on average. In addition, the study group determined that hormone therapy and sex reassignment surgery takes as long as a year from which to recover.

Kollar-Kotelly was content with ignoring the advice of experienced military professionals who evaluated transgender military service for more than six months to reach their conclusions. Now, transgenders can continue to serve until the lawsuits inevitably make their way to the Supreme Court, where the injunctions are almost certain to be overturned, and the lawsuits dismissed.

Exceptions and waivers
The four courts that originally challenged Trump’s prohibition did so on the basis that the order was a “blanket ban” that didn’t allow for enough exceptions. However, even after Mattis made allowances for recruits who have been stable for 36 months in their “biological sex” and permitted currently serving transgenders to be grandfathered in, Kollar-Kotelly said the changes were too insignificant.

Under the Mattis Implementation Plan, those transgender persons who are not summarily banned are only allowed in the military if they serve in their biological sex,” she wrote. “But by definition — at least the definition relevant to Plaintiffs’ claims in this lawsuit — transgender persons do not identify or live in accord with their biological sex.”

Every day in America, around 20 veterans take their own lives after suffering from disorders like post-traumatic stress, depression and substance abuse. After Kollar-Kotelly’s ill-conceived holding, these numbers are only going to get worse.

By continuing the injunction, the district court in Washington not only undermines unit cohesion, but also endangers the lives of the very people that the judicial ruling was meant to protect. The most disgraceful result, though, was that the judge simply discarded the opinions of military service members, all in a bid to preserve Obama’s social engineering.

US President Donald Trump’s Middle East policy team’s effort to shutter the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) may include efforts to clarify that millions of Palestinians are not refugees, according to a report on Friday.

Emails published by Foreign Policy magazine show that Jared Kushner, senior adviser and son-in-law of Trump and member of the president’s Middle East policy team, is critical of the organization, which is solely dedicated to operations concerning Palestinian refugees that was formed in 1949.

“It is important to have an honest and sincere effort to disrupt UNRWA,” Kushner wrote in a Jan. 11 email, prior to the freezing of $65 million in funding by the United States to the organization. “This [agency] perpetuates a status quo, is corrupt, inefficient and doesn’t help peace.”

Part of Effort to Solve Arab-Israeli Conflict?
Also in January, an adviser to Middle East peace envoy Jason Greenblatt suggested the dissolution of UNRWA as part of an effort to solve the Arab-Israeli conflict.

“UNRWA should come up with a plan to unwind itself and become part of the UNHCR [United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees] by the time its charter comes up again in 2019,” wrote Victoria Coates.

She said the idea one that was “informed by some thoughts I’ve picked up from Jared, Jason and Nikki,” referring to Nikki Haley, the US. ambassador to the UN.

The report quoted a Palestinian leader who said that Kushner and Greenblatt asked Jordan in June to remove the refugee status of some 2 million Palestinians living in the country in order to end the mandate for UNRWA’s operations in Israel’s neighboring country.

Top Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat accused Kushner and Greenblatt of seeking the “termination” of UNRWA by providing aid funding directly to countries that have become home to Palestinians as well as by solving the Gaza humanitarian problem through direct funding, as opposed to channeling it through UNRWA.

“All this is actually aimed at liquidating the issue of the Palestinian refugees,” said Erekat.

A spokesman for the Israel Embassy in Washington, Elad Strohmayer, told Foreign Policy that Israel believes “that UNRWA needs to pass from the world as it is an organization that advocates politically against Israel and perpetuates the Palestinian refugee problem.”

Palestinian Refugees: 5 Million or Tens of Thousands?
UNRWA has deemed all Palestinians who left Israel, as well as all their descendants, to be refugees, despite the fact that international law does not extend refugee status to the descendants of refugees.

According to UNRWA, the number of Palestinian refugees stands at 5 million people; however, when descendants are removed from the equation, the number stands at the low tens of thousands.

At a presidential campaign-style rally in Delaware County, Ohio, Saturday night, President Donald Trump gave a salute in return to an audience member who saluted him — and thrilled the hyped-up audience in the house.

According to Fox News, Trump was in the suburban Columbus county to campaign for Troy Balderson, who’s running in Tuesday’s special election for the seat in Ohio’s 12th Congressional District. The race in the typically Republican district is widely seen as a bellwether for Republican hopes in the midterms this fall.

As Trump came out to speak to the crowd, he got a salute from a man dressed in a U.S. Army shirt and hat.

Here’s a pic of our saluter:

The president responded in kind. A video of the exchange is below. The salute begins at 6:41:53; Trump returns the salute at 6:42:19.

“If you want to have a border, if you want to stop the radical Pelosi and Waters — Maxine Waters — agenda, there’s only one choice in this election,” Trump said. “That’s vote for Troy Balderson.”

Earlier in the day, Trump tweeted that O’Connor was a “puppet of Nancy Pelosi.”

Has there ever been a president that celebrated our first responders more than President Trump?

On Saturday, Trump had his driver slam on the brakes so he could get out and thank some local fireman.

Secret Service Nightmare
One cannot help but think Trump’s Secret Service detail knows they need to be at the ready all the time.

Because of the security dangers, most presidents stick to their planned route and rarely make unplanned stops.

For Trump, however, that seems to be the norm.

We have regularly seen him make stops so he could take a few minutes with local first responders and thank them for simply doing their job.

Thrill of a Lifetime
There have been thousands of first responders that stood by to protect their president.

But in many cases, the president they were helping protect never so much as waved at them.

Far too often, these individuals are taken for granted.

That is never the case with Trump, though.

At virtually every stop he makes, he makes sure first responders know that he’s grateful for them.

Critics can say what they will about President Donald Trump’s policies and personality, but there is no denying that the Republican POTUS knows how to work a crowd.

Addressing a massive crowd in Tampa, FL, Tuesday night, Trump was in rare form, hilariously mocking what it means to “act presidential” while moving about the stage and speaking in a robotic manner reminiscent of his predecessor.

“Anybody can act presidential,” Trump insisted, offering supporters a brief comedic intermission. Approaching the microphone with a stiff posture and a straight face, the president gave what may have been his best Barack Obama impression.

“Ladies and gentleman of the state of Florida, thank you very much for being here,” he said in a clipped and monotone voice. “I will leave now because I am boring you to death,” Trump announced before pretending to exit stage right.

Setting distinct red lines and keeping them probably won’t be what Barack Obama’s administration will be remembered for.
Obama was, after all, the president who drew a “line in the sand” when it came to Syrian dictator Bashar Assad regime’s use of chemical weapons against his own people. Obama then decided against keeping his word when Assad used poisoned gas after all. Obama later said he was “very proud” of his decision not to punish the dictator with military force.
Well, so much for that. But if an American president is going to set any red lines, he better be willing to enforce them.
And, in a Monday joint news conference with Italian Prime Minister Giuesppe Conte at the White House, President Donald Trump seemed to be unwilling to fall into that same trap — at least when it came to illegal immigration and border wall funding.
During the news conference, The Daily Caller’s Saagar Enjeti asked a question about a tweet the president had sent out Sunday that threatened a government shutdown if the president’s signature infrastructure project wasn’t funded by Congress.

According to NPR, Trump also used the occasion to praise the Italian leader on his border security moves.
“Italy has taken a very firm stance on the border, a stance few countries have taken,” Trump said. “Frankly, you’re doing the right thing in my opinion.”
In terms of the president’s failure to draw a red line on wall funding, it might be dispiriting to some conservatives. After all, this is the president who signed an omnibus bill that had hardly any border security to speak of.
However, Trump has learned one lesson from his predecessor: The fact that red lines are a serious matter. At the very least, he can still say that he enforced Obama’s “line in the sand” when it came around.
His answer Monday made the difference between the two presidents crystal clear. And left Obama’s reputation in tatters.

F-16 Fighter Jet Swarms Private Trump Golf Course After Major Security Threat

Security officials in charge of protecting the president got a bit of a scare on Saturday when an Air Force F-16 fighter jet was forced to intercept a suspicious airplane.

According to the Associated Press, the F-16 was scrambled after a general aviation aircraft was flying unreasonably close to a Trump-owned golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey.

That’s where President Donald Trump is staying for the weekend, prompting heightened security that includes aviation restrictions for local pilots.

The interception occurred around noon on the 21st, after the small plane apparently ignored a restricted zone and was not responding to radio calls. Officials said the aircraft was flying “without proper clearances or communications.”

“Continental U.S. North American Aerospace Defense Command says the intercepted aircraft landed at an airport in Pittstown, N.J. without incident, where local law enforcement met the pilot,” the AP elaborated.

The identity of the pilot and the reason that he broke the secure area has not been reported, but it seems the Secret Service is satisfied that there is no ongoing threat to the president.

When a VIP such as the president travels, the FAA often issues a Temporary Flight Restriction, or TFR. This information is included in daily NOTAMs, or Notices to Airmen.

As a matter of routine, pilots are expected to review those NOTAMs before a flight and make sure that they respect the TFRs in their region, which can include geographic areas and altitudes that are off limits.

Those advisories can also be viewed on a map, making it relatively easy for a pilot to check for restrictions before he takes off, or even from the air.

However, a pilot could miss the notice for several reasons. Local aircraft operators who are used to recreational flying in their areas sometimes become lax about checking the notices before each flight, and it’s also possible for a pilot to mistakenly have outdated information.

There are also innocent reasons for a pilot to be out of contact. Some aircraft are not actually required to carry a radio, if they are operating out of a small airfield without a control tower. Frequency mix-ups and equipment malfunctions can put a pilot out of contact, even if he has no malicious intentions.

Of course, there is still the very real possibility of an aircraft being used as a weapon, as 9/11 proved beyond any doubt.

In 2010, for example, a pilot deliberately crashed his small Piper Dakota aircraft into an IRS building in Austin, Texas. He killed one person and injured over a dozen, while also taking his own life.

Unintentional violations of restricted airspace are much more common. According to the Sun Sentinel newspaper, eleven different aircraft flew into the secure area near Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort this past winter holiday season. Several F-16s were scrambled during that time period to intercept rogue pilots.

“My heart kind of a skipped a beat because I thought, ‘Did I do something wrong?’” pilot Erick Paulson explained to the Florida newspaper about seeing fighter jets in the sky during one of those earlier interceptions.

“There are signs and posters that say, ‘Don’t be that pilot.’ There really isn’t an excuse for not knowing,” he continued.

After law enforcement and the Secret Service locate and question a pilot who veered into restricted airspace, it’s up to the FAA to decide if the operator should receive a civil fine or more serious criminal charges.

The fate of the pilot in New Jersey is not yet known, but after fighting an Air Force fighter jet off his wing, it’s likely he won’t be making the same mistake twice.

(Worthy News) - US President Donald Trump on Monday said his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin Monday was good for Israel, seemingly referring to efforts to remove Iran-backed fighters from Syria’s Golan border.

Trump also said Putin was a strong supporter of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, but did not offer any specifics on what was discussed that related to Israel at the meeting in Helsinki, where Iran’s presence in Syria had been widely expected to be a main topic of conversation between the two world leaders.

June 19 (UPI) -- The United States withdrew from the U.N. Human Rights Council Tuesday in protest of perceived hypocrisy and bias against Israel within the council.

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo announced the withdrawal at the U.S. State Department, where Haley referred to the council as a "hypocritical and self-serving" organization.

"The council has failed in its stated objectives," Pompeo said.

Haley accused the council of becoming "protector of human rights abusers, and a cesspool of political bias." She cited the admission of the Democratic Republic of Congo as a member state after mass graves were discovered in the country and the council's failure to address human rights abuses by Venezuela and Iran while regularly passing resolutions condemning Israel.

"I want to make it crystal clear that this step is not a retreat from our human rights commitments," she said. "On the contrary. We take this step because our commitment does not allow us to remain a part of a hypocritical and self-serving organization that makes a mockery of human rights."

She also suggested governments with poor human rights records sought to join the 47-nation council in an attempt to avoid scrutiny and actively resist proposals for reform.

"When we made it clear we would strongly pursue council reform, these countries came out of the woodwork to oppose it," Haley said. "Russia, China, Cuba and Egypt all attempted to undermine our reform efforts this past year."

The United States threatened to leave the council last year citing similar reasons.

"It's hard to accept that this council has never considered a resolution on Venezuela, and yet it adopted five biased resolutions in March against a single country -- Israel," Haley said in an address to the council at the time. "It's essential that this council address its chronic anti-Israel bias if it is to have any credibility."

The council was created in 2006, but the United States didn't join until 2009. President George W. Bush refused to join over concerns it wasn't an improvement over its predecessor -- the U.N.'s Human Rights Commission -- because it allowed human rights offenders to be seated.

With Tuesday's decision, the United States became the first sitting member to voluntarily leave the council.

The decision came a day after U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Zeid Ra'ad Al Hussein denounced the United States' practice of separating children from their families at the U.S.-Mexican border.

"I am deeply concerned by recently adopted policies which punish children for their parents' actions," he said Monday. "The thought that any state would seek to deter parents by inflicting such abuse on children is unconscionable."

Hussein condemned the United States' decision to leave the council on Tuesday.

"Disappointing, if not really surprising, news. Given the state of human rights in today's world, the U.S. should be stepping up, not stepping back," he said.

The American Civil Liberties Union also denounced President Donald Trump and his administration's decision to withdraw.

"The Trump administration's withdrawal from the U.N. Human Rights Council, coupled with its abusive use of power at home, only confirms what we've always known -- Trump is leading a concerted, aggressive effort to violate basic human rights of those most in need of protection," the ACLU said.

MOSCOW — Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas was in Moscow on Saturday to meet  with Vladimir Putin, just days after the Russian leader hosted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“I’m glad of the opportunity to tell you about the contact we have had with your neighbors, and leaders of various countries,” Putin told him as they met at the Kremlin, in quotes carried by Russian agencies.

“I know that the situation in the region is difficult and we are grateful that you have used the World Cup as a reason to come to Moscow,” Putin said, adding that he was glad of the opportunity to discuss the problems facing the Palestinians.

Abbas told the Russian leader of his concerns over US President Donald Trump’s decision to move the country’s embassy to Jerusalem, as well as Israeli settlement activity.

The talks came as Palestinians in Gaza fired dozens of rockets and mortar shells into Israel and the IDF bombed dozens of Hamas targets in the widest day-time air strikes since the 2014 war.

Abbas has been imposing sanctions on Hamas in a bid to force the terrorist group to give up control of the coastal enclave, which it seized from Abbas’s Fatah group in 2007.

There was no word on whether Abbas discussed Gaza with the Russian leader.

Netanyahu was in Moscow on Wednesday, where the situation in Syria was the main focus of his meeting with Putin.

In a letter to EU officials, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said the US government wants to maximize pressure against Iran as sanctions begin to be imposed next month.
"We will seek to provide unprecedented financial pressure on the Iranian regime," the letter stated, according to NBC News.

July 15 (UPI) -- The United States rejected appeals from the European Union to give exemptions to EU countries that would be affected by sanctions on Iran.

In a letter to EU officials, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said the US government wants to maximize pressure against Iran as sanctions begin to be imposed next month.

"We will seek to provide unprecedented financial pressure on the Iranian regime," the letter stated, according to NBC News.

The letter added that the United States is "not in a position to make exceptions to this policy except in very specific circumstances where it clearly benefits our national security" but would make exceptions for humanitarian purposes.

Ministers from Germany, France, Britain and the EU governing body had requested exemptions for businesses in finance, energy and healthcare.

The EU is Iran's second-largest trading partner with nearly $13 billion in exports sold to Iran last year.

One EU diplomat told the Financial Times said the sanctions and the Trump administration's decision to withdraw from the 2015 Iran deal was detrimental to controlling Iran's nuclear program.

"We do not think it's helpful in relation to the situation in Iran," the diplomat said. "There are also extraterritorial risks in these sanctions for EU operators."

Russia uses gas supplies to control Germany, said US President Donald Trump on Wednesday. Trump says it’s unacceptable that Berlin is paying billions of dollars to Moscow instead of its NATO dues, which protect it from Russia.
Speaking to journalists before a meeting with the NATO secretary general in Brussels, Trump criticized bloc members that approved the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline from Russia to Europe. The president criticized Germany in particular, calling it a hostage of Russia.


"Germany is captive of Russia because it is getting so much of its energy from Russia. They pay billions of dollars to Russia and we have to defend them against Russia,’ said Trump at a breakfast with NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg.

Germany has resisted US pressure to block Nord Stream 2, which is due to be completed in 2019. The project is an expansion of the existing Nord Stream natural gas pipeline which opened in 2011. The pipeline has been a source of contention for over a year, pitting the US and a small number of Eastern European countries, including Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania and others, on one side, against Russia and major EU members, led by Germany, on the other.

The expanded pipeline aims to ensure a reliable supply of Russian gas to central and western Europe. It includes a 759 mile (1,222km) natural gas pipeline running on the bed of the Baltic Sea from Russian gas fields to Germany. It will double the existing Nord Stream pipeline’s current annual capacity of 55 billion cubic meters and is expected to become operational by the end of next year.

The EU has suffered considerable economic losses due to the US-led push to block trade with Russia since 2014. By contrast, the US has been largely unaffected, and has even profited somewhat from the sale of pricey liquefied natural gas (LNG) that Washington has promoted as the alternative to cheaper Russian fuel.

Last month, Austrian President Alexander Van der Bellen said that while US politicians are accusing Europe of being dependent on Russian gas, Washington was force-feeding Europe its liquefied natural gas, which is three times more expensive than natural gas from Russia.

Some would question why Trump is putting something like this out there at this point.

With several Democrats snagging headlines over the last few days as possible presidential candidates, it would seem that Trump just wanted to remind them all what happened in 2016.

"On July 6, the US began to impose 25 percent tariffs on $34 billion worth of Chinese imports. The US has breached WTO trade rules and launched the largest trade war in economic history to date," the ministry's statement read .

China warned that while it promised not to "fire the first shot," it will now be forced to "counterattack" in order to defend its core interests. Beijing has vowed to inform the World Trade Organization and work with other countries to "jointly safeguard free trade and the multilateral system."

As Beijing geared up to respond to the new tariffs, it warned that the US would be “shooting itself in the foot and hurting the world” if it were to go through with the measure. Reciprocal levies had reportedly been prepared, which were set to take effect on the same day.

Beijing has been actively seeking an EU ally in the mounting trade war, with senior Chinese officials offering European states access to its market if they take Beijing's side in the row. However, Europe has rejected China’s proposal to team up against the US.

US President Donald Trump’s protectionist trade policies put him at loggerheads with the EU and Canada, which were also not immune to harsh tariffs on steel and aluminum imports. In a tit-for-tat response, the EU slapped tariffs on US goods worth $3.2 billion. The primary list includes motorcycles, motor boats, orange juice, bourbon, peanut butter, cigarettes, and denim. The EU, joined by several other world powers, also opened a WTO dispute over Washington’s measures, claiming the Trump administration’s tariffs were protectionist and illegal.

A Utah man painted an image of President Donald Trump that is making its rounds on the internet — but not for the reason you think.

According to Jon McNaughton, the artist behind the painting, “Teach a Man to Fish,” his most recent work has an underlying message: “Each of us has the freedom to choose our own destiny.” And with President Trump at the helm, American citizens have “an equal opportunity” to achieve success.

“Teach a Man to Fish”
The 16-by-20 inch print depicts President Donald Trump seated next to a college-aged man in a wilderness setting. As the young man searches for the appropriate bait from a tackle box, the president appears to be imparting a great unknown lesson as he offers the student a fishing pole.

McNaughton’s latest artistic expression is clearly a nod to the famous adage, “Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.” According to McNaughton, his message of self-empowerment is intended to eulogize Trump’s educational policies and support for vocational programs.

But hidden within the shady park scene of McNaughton’s painting are several subtle symbols carefully revealed after an artistic scavenger hunt: placed on the ground next to the student are a stack of school books which he has clearly discarded as useless, including Socialism and Justice Warrior. Additionally, Trump is offering his young apprentice a golden fish hook, perhaps alluding to the Latin proverb, aureo hamo piscari, meaning “to fish with a golden hook.”

McNaughton seems to suggest through this that Trump holds a golden key with the ability to open any door for his young pupil, and on his website, McNaughton explained further what compelled him to create the piece, and what it means:

I imagined President Trump sitting next to a young college student. His pack is beside him and his Socialism and Justice Warrior books laid aside. He listens to Trump’s proposal and looks at the different bait he can use to catch his fish. Trump offers him a fishing pole. Each of us has the freedom to choose our own destiny.

Trump has suggested through his educational policy that people can be taught a skilled vocation. How will Trump make America great again? I believe this mantra is about giving American citizens an equal opportunity to find success. Equal opportunity is different than equal results. You can give a man a pole, it doesn’t mean he will use it.

Feed him for a lifetime
McNaughton’s painting has somewhat of a literal meaning: at the White House-sponsored “Generation Next” forum in March, Trump reiterated his views on education in America when he recalled the vocational aptitude and talent of a friend who could easily stand in for the student in McNaughton’s painting. Trump said that his friend had “a great ability at [mechanics] — far greater than me or far greater than other people. But he’ll never be a student, nor did he want that kind of learning, that kind of whatever you want to call it.”

Additionally, during his State of the Union address, Trump called for lawmakers to invest in workforce development and job training to meet the needs of an expanding labor market. The president wants to teach a new generation of Americans to fish in inventive and exciting ways by reauthorizing the Higher Education Act, which funds trade schools and apprenticeship training.

Fine art is in the eye of the beholder
McNaughton has been criticized in the past by progressive-minded art critics for his religious and patriotic themed masterpieces, and “Teach a Man to Fish” is no exception. The Outline’s Ryan Cunningham called the piece “a total fish hunt” and “weird as hell,” finding fault with McNaughton’s choice of a “highly overdressed fisherman” in Trump.

“I’m not sure if Trump has ever gone fishing in real life,” Cunningham noted during his highly critical review. But Cunningham is handicapped by the same artistic blindness affecting his liberal peers, who prefer art that hits the viewer over the head with a patently obvious message; picture the graffiti art of Banksy which hipster New Yorkers flocked to witness during the artist’s month-long tour of the city in 2013.

Real fans of fine art have an appreciation for metaphor and subliminal messages, which explains why McNaughton has no stomach for the racial controversy that his leftist critics try to insert into his work when, for instance, he uses white subjects to portray “The Forgotten Man” or the college student in his latest piece. McNaughton looks beyond skin color at other, more nuanced and relevant symbols.

McNaughton’s latest object d’art is a fitting tribute to a president who is on a mission to “Make America Great Again.” Unfortunately, art is in the eye of the beholder.

While the rest of the liberal world looks after undocumented immigrants, President Trump is actually taking care of the American people.

After Trump ripped the media for ignoring Angel families, one of the mothers of a child killed by an undocumented immigrant came forward to tell the story of how Trump literally saved her life.

Her Tale
Sabine Durden is a mother who loved and lived for her child.

Sadly, her child was taken away from her far too early in his life.

Her only son, you see, was killed by an undocumented immigrant.

The immigrant was driving a truck that he was not licensed to drive and made a wrong turn, striking down Durden’s son while he was out on his motorcycle.

Durden stated, “This is my only child. I have no family. That’s it.”

Then she told a shocking tale of how she was very close to taking her own life over the matter.

“I was gonna end my life – I had no purpose,” Durden stated.

She added, “But President Trump coming down that escalator that day and talking about illegal immigration stopped me in my tracks and I had no clue at that point that I would ever be at the White House.”

The Forgotten
Durden’s tale is one that has been experienced by dozens, if not hundreds of American families.

Far too often we hear about an undocumented immigrant that was drunk driving or unlicensed to drive that ended up taking the life of a citizen.

And those are just the accidental cases.

When you add in the gang violence and brutal crimes, the numbers really start to add up.

A recent study came out estimating that some 13 percent of DACA recipients now have a criminal record.

Yet, Hollywood liberals and Democrats in office tell us we are wrong for not wanting them in our country.

Therefore, when the president’s eldest daughter voiced her displeasure with the separation of families at the southern U.S. border, her protests may have been the deciding factor motivating Trump to settle a problem which previous administrations have elected to ignore

Following the president’s momentous executive order that keeps families together who are arrested for entering the country illegally, Ivanka Trump thanked her father for “taking critical action” to end the practice and challenged Congress to “find a lasting solution.”

Words of gratitude
These hopeful words of support represent the first time that Ivanka has publicly spoken about the immigration crisis, despite weathering cruel and unwarranted attacks from pro-immigrant activists.

The first daughter elected to turn the other cheek after Twitter users lashed out at her for sharing images of she and her daughter while her father’s administration was “brutally separating migrant children” from their families at the border.

It would have been all too easy for Ivanka, a senior advisor within the Trump administration, to dig in and expose the flawed reasoning behind the left’s hate-fueled outrage. Instead, she took the high road and applauded the president’s executive action in a Wednesday afternoon tweet:

While discussing the controversy with GOP lawmakers on Tuesday, the president admitted that Ivanka was concerned about the separation of families caught entering the U.S. illegally. When Trump signed the executive order a day later, reporters asked if Ivanka had showed him photos of children separated from their parents.

A reasoned approach to immigration enforcement
The president believes that he can keep these families together while simultaneously executing the laws that he was elected to uphold. “We don’t like to see families separated,” he added. “At the same time, we don’t want people coming into our country illegally.”

Last weekend, a spokesperson for the first lady told The Hill, “Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform. She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with heart.”

That is precisely the policy that the president has chosen to pursue — an aggressive, “zero tolerance” approach to enforcing immigration laws that also seeks to keep families together. However, the president’s intervention isn’t likely to quiet the thunderous indignation coming from the left.

All class
Although Democrats have used the emotional images of children being pulled from their parents to evoke a political response, this isn’t about families. In reality, liberals oppose any border enforcement mechanisms, and they are incensed that there is a president in the Oval Office who is willing to execute the laws that the American people have passed.

Ivanka Trump knows this, just as she understands that families were only being torn apart in the first place by a Ninth Circuit Court decision requiring that all minors, even those accompanied by their families, be released from detention after a maximum of 20 days. Yet, even after facing a horrific social media backlash for simply sharing an intimate photo of her own family, she refused to resort to partisan backbiting and elegantly applauded her father’s concession.

Ivanka Trump is all class, and she refuses to be crass and graceless. The president would be wise to continue consulting with her.

The Truth Is ON the Tape
Two of the more telling blows came against Hillary Clinton and Chuck Schumer.

Hillary has been grabbing anyone that will give her a microphone discussing the plight of immigrant children.

However, the tape shows her wanting to kick them right back over the border back then.

Schumer has been hitting the President hard on immigration, now politicking for what amounts to open borders.

The snippet on him, however, shows a man begging for more border security and wanting to stop illegal immigrants from entering this country.

The Challenge
Trump obviously made immigration a major platform issue.

The minute he did that, Dems pivoted to be in support of undocumented immigrants and open borders.

The President has repeatedly asked Dems to work with him on immigration reform, but they refuse to bring common sense to the table and have taken a hardline stance.

His frustration over this issue is quite apparent…

However, that still does not address the fact our actual lawmakers are doing nothing to fix the situation.

Ted Cruz penned legislation to add more judges and expedite hearings, but is that really the answer?

All that legislation would do is put more of a burden on taxpayers as it relates to undocumented immigrants.

The pushback on social media over the legislation was almost immediate and actually somewhat addressed by President Trump on Twitte

There may not be a trade war over automakers after all.
Just a few weeks after President Donald Trump launched a Commerce Department review of how auto imports might be hurting national security, Germany’s biggest automakers are ready to give up on the ten percent protective tariff wall that has shielded them from competition with U.S. cars, according to the Wall Street Journal. (WSJ)

Their proposal envisions full reciprocity between the U.S. and the European Union, according to the WSJ. The E.U. would scrap its ten percent tariff while the U.S. would give up its 2.5 percent tariff.

President Trump has repeatedly said that “reciprocity” should be a guiding principle for international trade.

The news of the German surrender on tariffs is a diplomatic coup for U.S. Ambassador to Germany Richard Grenell, who returns to Washington this week, the WSJ states.

According to the outlet:

Over the past few weeks, Mr. Grenell has held closed-door meetings with the chiefs of all major German automotive companies, including bilateral meetings with the CEOs of Daimler AG, BMW AG and Volkswagen AG, which operate plants in the U.S.

During these talks, which the ambassador initiated, the managers said they would back the scrapping of all import tariffs on trans-Atlantic trade in automotive products as the keystone of a broader deal covering industrial goods. The German government is on board and Mr. Grenell promised to support the idea, according to U.S. and German officials.

The Trump administration is praising the German approach as holding out a model to the world for how to resolve trade disputes. On Tuesday, by contrast, Peter Navarro, White House Trade adviser, said that despite several rounds of negotiations, the U.S. had made “no progress” in getting China to give up its predatory trade practices.

“Germany has the right approach to resolving this trade disagreement among friends,” said U.S. Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, the Wall Street Journal reports.

One possible stumbling block is that the Germans are asking the U.S. to scrap a 25 percent U.S. tax on imports of light trucks, a category that includes pickup trucks, sport utility vehicles, and big vans. The Johnson administration put that tax in place after Europeans put a tariff on chickens, a major U.S. export at the time.

Now that President Donald Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un have officially met, everyone is dissecting every second of the meeting to see who had the upper hand.

According to body language expert Chris Ulrich, Trump won that battle.

Establishing dominance
Many pundits have speculated that although Kim is a world leader, he has very immature personality traits.

Trump, on the other hand, has often been portrayed as very dominant and self-assured.

Anyone who has personally met Trump will attest the man exudes confidence in every setting.

All of those things were working for Trump and against Kim during this meeting

Trump took charge right out of the gate, with a confident walk, a firm hand shake, and an upper arm grab.

That upper arm grab, according to Ulrich, is how Trump took over the meeting and established himself at the alpha.

Trump also took the lead as they were leaving the platform by pointing Kim to the exit.

The president also patted him on the back, as if to say, “Move it.”

Ulrich stated that both moves by Trump were vital in establishing his dominance over Kim.

Overwhelmed by greatness
Almost immediately upon meeting the U.S. president, Kim had the look of a young boy meeting a star for the first time.

He was almost sheepish in his mannerisms, and constantly looked at Trump, appearing somewhat in awe of him.

To describe the relationship between CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta and the Trump administration as “chilly” would be upgrading it a few hundred degrees on the Kelvin scale. However, I didn’t think it was possible that President Donald Trump would actually be treating Acosta like a child who desperately needed instruction.

That’s what happened in Singapore, where Trump held a news conference after signing an agreement with Noth Korean dictator Kim Jong Un regarding a framework toward rapprochement between the U.S. and the Hermit Kingdom.

The presser was actually among the most relaxed and least combative that Trump has had since taking office, with one very notable exception, courtesy of Jim Acosta.

The CNN reporter, who has previously whined like a stuck hippo when he didn’t get a question at a news conference, was actually among the first called during the wide-ranging and relatively long (at least for Trump) session. However, the president insisted on a caveat when he took Acosta’s question.

“Be nice. Be respectful,” Trump said as he gestured to Acosta.

This is a rather sad thing. People from both sides are going to jump upon this as evidence either that Trump is unfairly belittling toward the media or that Acosta cannot be trusted in adult company.

You can probably deduce which side I’m on by the headline. Acosta is a man, as previously stated, who has complained on Twitter that he didn’t get called upon for three straight news conferences by White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders. As in, he took the time to whip out his phone and tap out his frustration to 587,000 followers.

Those are pretty much the actions of a child — someone who apparently needs instruction from authority figures to remind him to be nice and/or respectful. And that’s precisely what the president did.

The establishment media is obsessing this week over President Donald Trump’s repeat of a joke often spoken by Canadian leaders that they burnt Washington, D.C., in 1814. Canadians are laughing about it while American pundits see proof that Trump is ignorant of history instead of proving he can joke with leaders.

Seriously?

The first sixteen months of Trump’s presidency have been among the most productive in history, especially if we define productivity in terms of enhanced freedom for everyday Americans.

Congress has adopted 46 pieces of substantive legislation on his watch and at his prodding, the most consequential being tax reform. Fourteen of them reverse unconstitutional Obama-era executive orders — they cannot now be re-upped by a future president. Other important laws passed include the Taylor Force Act halting funding for Palestinian terrorists until they stop paying murder bounties, and the VA Mission Act, which finally addresses the morass of the Veterans Administration.

Dozens of oppressive regulations that once strangled economic growth have been reversed by executive order. The president has withdrawn America from prejudicial trade and climate agreements at the same time he has arranged an unprecedented summit with North Korea’s leader.

He has nominated — and gotten confirmed — more than one hundred federal judges, including Supreme Court Justice Neil Gorsuch, and forbidden enforcement of the individual mandate of Obamacare and the Johnson Amendment, which penalizes political speech from pulpits, while awaiting the growth of enough congressional spine to repeal these laws. He has complied with decades-old federal law requiring the relocation of our embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.

He has cut illegal immigration by more than half and appears to be presiding over a genuinely bipartisan response to the Deferred Action Against Childhood Arrivals dilemma — something not seriously attempted by the previous administration — despite thunder from the left and media about his bellicose immigration rhetoric.

His reward for all this productivity? For the past sixteen months, an enraged and self-important media has known no presidential news except special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation, whether or not Trump had an affair with a porn star more than a decade before committing his life to Jesus Christ, and speculation about whether his wife is about to divorce him.

It would be pathetically funny were it not so exhausting even to hear about — let alone fight — the war of his legal battles on the one hand and pursue an ambitious agenda for the country on the other. This is despite the fact that not one piece of evidence pointing to collusion with Russia — or obstruction of justice in seeking that evidence — has come to light, although the accusations just keep on coming.

What has come to light is more and more evidence of corruption among the witch hunters themselves, and the corruption at multiple levels of the Obama administration. The predator is becoming the prey on an escalating basis, and not even all the information-controlling power of mainstream television and newspapers seems able to continue to hide it.

Apparently God really meant it when he said — in Genesis 50:20 — that what evil men mean for evil purpose he means for good and it is his intention that counts. Apparently God knew what he was saying in Romans 8:28 when he promised to turn all things into good wherever people who love him and are called according to his purposes are at stake.

No, Trump is not the second coming. He is neither angel nor saint as those terms are usually meant. He is a flawed human being — just like the rest of us — who happens to have been called for this hour and has said yes.

We think God chooses us when we are good enough. God says we will become good enough in his grace when he chooses us and we accept his choice.

The real good news is all of us were chosen — just as Trump was chosen — 2,000 ago when a disgraced Galilean holy man died on a cross outside Jerusalem … and rose from the dead in glory over the weekend.

The president needs and deserves our support right now — and to be held accountable by the voters when that is appropriate — but only God deserves our worship.
