A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
If you are not confused, you are not paying attention.

GET WISDOM
"Where can wisdom be found? and where is the source of understanding?" [Job (Iyowb) 28. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Men have been searching for this most valuable of all treasures since time began.  Eve first fell into sin as she was tempted by Satan, the great deceiver, to believe that the "forbidden fruit" would make her wise.  Even before Abram left Ur of the Chaldeans, the Patriarch Job (Hebrew: Iyowb can mean any of the following: persecution, persecuted one, to come back, repent) was asking this ancient question of his three critical friends, but they could not answer.

Valuable metals can be dug from the rocks of the earth [Job/Iyowb 28. 1-2] but, wisdom cannot be mined by hard searching and labor.  Neither can it be purchased like some commodity. [Job/Iyowb 28. 13 - 19]   Wisdom is not acquired through schooling, college degrees, philosophical meditation, or any variety of human experience or study.  Wisdom can only be found in ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF, for "GOD understands the way to it; HE knows the SOURCE." [Job (Iyob) 28. 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  "HE said to man — See!  Fear of the LORD is wisdom; to shun and depart from evil is understanding." [Job (Iyob) 28. 28 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

True Wisdom is to be found only in the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA "WHO became for us WISDOM from GOD." [1 Corinthians 1. 30]   In HIM alone "are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." [Colossians 2. 3]  Since the HOLY SCRIPTURE constitute HIS WRITTEN WORD, we find wisdom there.  "Let the WORD of CHRIST JESUS dwell in you richly in all wisdom." [Colossians 3. 16]

If one desires wisdom — real GODly wisdom — he first must fear of the LORD, then departure from all evil and receive MESSIAH Y’SHUA as REDEEMER, SAVIOR & SOVEREIGN LORD.  Next, diligently pursue to learn and obey HIS SACRED WRITTEN WORD.   "For the LORD grants wisdom; knowledge and discernment are by HIS decree.  HE reserves ability for the upright and is a SHIELD for those who live blamelessly, guarding the paths of justice, protecting the way of those loyal to HIM.  You will then understand what is right, just, and equitable — every good course.  For wisdom will enter your mind and knowledge will delight you." [Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 6 - 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Holy are YOU, and feared is YOUR NAME, and there is no GOD beside YOU.  The LORD OF HOSTS is exalted in judgment, and the HOLY GOD is sanctified in righteousness.  Blessed are YOU, O LORD, the HOLY RIGHTEOUS KING.
May the LORD bless and keep you throughout the coming days.  Our prayer for each of you is to be strong and of good courage; be bold as you proclaim the GOOD NEWS of Salvation to all!  Go with GOD!
Welcoming Rosh Chodesh (the new moon day 2) – month of Shvat

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
He who kneels before the ALMIGHTY ONE, can stand before any person.

FEAST OF TRUMPETS 5779
At some point in history, the Feast of Yom Teruah (a more accurate term for the Day of Trumpets — Leviticus/B'Midvar 23. 23 - 25) became the day on which the Jewish New Year is celebrated, more popularly known as Rosh ha’Shanah (celebrated in the 7th month, Tishri) which translates as "Head of the Year."  {Begins tonight at sundown — Sunday Evening, September 9th this year}  This Festival, a truly extraordinary occasion, is both a memorial and a blessing.

The Feast of Trumpets is also called "Yom ha'Din" — the Day of Judgment and "Yom ha’Zikkaron" — the Day of Remembrance.  The Apostle Paul was speaking of the appointed time when he declared: "HE (the RIGHTEOUS ONE) has appointed a day on which HE will judge the world in righteousness by the MAN (Y’SHUA THE ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD) WHOM HE has ordained. HE has given assurance of this to all by raising HIM from the dead." [Acts 17. 31 – 32]  And again, warning of the judgment to come:  "It is a righteous thing with GOD to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the LORD JESUS is revealed from heaven with HIS mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know GOD, and on those who do not obey the GOSPEL of our LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH." [2 Thessalonians 1. 6 – 9]

However, according to Exodus/Shemot 12:2, Nisan (Passover Season-March/April) is the month appointed by GOD as the "head" of the year, "the beginning of months."  There are two other places in the Hebrew expression where "Rosh ha’Shanah (head or beginning of the year)" is found in the HOLY SCRIPTURE.  ["It is a land the LORD your GOD cares for; the eyes of the LORD your GOD are continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end." Deuteronomy/Devarim 11. 12  "In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, the exile of King Jehoiachin, the fourteenth year after the City had fallen, at the beginning of the year, the tenth day of the month — on that very day." Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 40. 1]

Our Jewish people celebrate their New Year's Day in a very solemn way, unlike the Gentile practice.  Jews examine their record for the past year and make resolutions to do better the coming year.  According the TALMUD, three books are opened on Yom Teruah/Rosh ha’Shanah before the MIGHTY CREATOR, wherein the fate of the righteous, the wicked, and those of a middle class are recorded.  The names of the righteous are immediately inscribed and they are sealed at once to life.  The middle class are allowed 10 days to repent and become righteous; while the wicked are altogether blotted out of the BOOK OF THE LIVING.

Tradition alleges that Adam was created about the time of the Feast of Trumpets.  According to the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD, when Y’SHUA, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL was born, that was certainly a new beginning. It will be a time of renewal when MESSIAH Y’SHUA returns some glorious day.  We are in the final days of repentance leading to the Day of Atonement.  Now is the time to make things right with the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN & EARTH and with each other before the coming final judgment. Maybe soon, on some Feast of Trumpets, the LORD Y’SHUA will come for all who believe in HIM. [1 Thessalonians 4. 13 - 18]

In fulfillment of the EVER-LIVING ONE'S command, Jews gather on Yom Teruah/Rosh ha’Shanah during the day at the Synagogue where the most prominent feature of the religious ceremony is the blowing of the Shofar (ram's horn), marking the preparation of the Holy Festival. "Speak to the Israelite people thus — In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall observe Sabbath rest, a sacred occasion commemorated with loud blasts." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 23. 24 Tanakh, Torah]

On this day, the Jewish people feel that the purpose for the sounding of the Shofar is to arouse them to the serious contemplation of their sinfulness as well as to their duty to lead a godly life.  The Shofar is blown as a summons for the conscience to awake and heed the call of duty.   For this reason, Yom Teruah/Rosh ha’Shanah is known as "The Day of the Sounding of the Horn." Furthermore, on that day it is concluded that RIGHTEOUS OMNIPOTENT JUDGE, the FAITHFUL & TRUE, calls to memory the faults and sins of the past year, it is also known as "Yom Zikrown" — The Day of Memorial. And, since Jewish people feel they are then on trial before the JUDGE OF THE UNIVERSE, Rosh ha’Shanah is also known as the Day of Judgment (Yom ha'Din).   The prayers of the Jewish people to our RIGHTEOUS LORD GOD is that the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE and blessed be HIS NAME, would inscribe their name in the "SEFER ha’HAYYIM — THE BOOK OF LIFE."

"Tashlikh (casting off)" is another custom observed before Rosh ha’Shana.  In fulfillment of the text — "YOU will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea." [Micah (Michah) 7. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  Jews go to the edge of a running stream and throw rocks into the water.  In doing so, prayers are recited concluding with the words:  "May GOD cast our sins into the depths of the sea!"

There is another great event which will be proclaimed by the blowing of a trumpet!  This event is going to rock this world as never any event in her history! "For the LORD YEHOVAH HIMSELF will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of GOD. And the dead in MESSIAH will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air. And thus we shall always be with the LORD." [1 Thessalonians 4. 16 - 17]

"Behold, I tell you a mystery:  We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed — in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." [1 Corinthians 15. 51 - 52]

The ETERNAL NEW YEAR began in the heart of those who accepted the MESSIAH Y’SHUA as their SAVIOR, REDEEMER & LORD.  At that moment the heart was changed and all his sins were cast into the depths of the sea.   The trumpet of the LORD OF HOSTS sounded announcing this great event and a new name was written in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE!   This New Creation is now awaiting the Sound of the Shofar (ram's horn) which shall usher in that greatest of all events since the days of Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH'S flesh!   O glorious day when the LORD shall come for HIS OWN — both Jew and Gentile — who have accepted the redemption HE purchased through HIS SUPREME SACRIFICE on the Altar of Calvary!  Without question, the incredible wonder of this Festival of Trumpets is a memorial and a blessing.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Remembrance (zichronot) is to never forget that the ALMIGHTY loves you — imperfect, struggling, wonderful, one-of-a-kind you.
Rosh ha’Shanah is a time when we coronate (empower, enthrone) GOD as our KING. The ALMIGHTY ONE loves us more then we can imagine; HE is flawless and infallible. Everything HE does is for our good.  All that happens to us is ultimately good and perfect.
Have a sweet and good new year — have health. happiness, love, and may there be true peace in the Land of Israel and the whole world; Come LORD Y’SHUA!
The 10 Days of Awe begin at evening, they are from Yom Teruah (Feast of Trumpets/Rosh ha’Shanah) through Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement). These days are a foreshadowing picture and rehearsal of the Second Coming of MESSIAH Y’SHUA, the fulfillment of prophetic SCRIPTURES.
"L'Shanah Tova Tikatevu v'Techateimu — May you be inscribed and sealed for a good year!"
Day 30 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A clean conscience makes a soft pillow.

SLICHOT — THINK & PRAY
On the closing of this Sabbath of Repentance, O our GOD, open our hearts to its solemn call to turn from the vanities of life and consider our destiny in the light of YOUR ETERNAL TRUTH. Help us to see whether we have indeed hearkened to YOUR VOICE and have done justly, loved mercy and walked humbly before YOU, our MAKER. Or, whether we have been negligent in the fulfillment of our duties and have strayed from the path of moral strength and integrity.

O RIGHTEOUS JUDGE OF THE WORLD, as we survey our life, we are filled with shame that we have fallen short of the purpose for which YOU did send us, and we have failed to use aright the numerous gifts which YOU have given us.  Humbly we confess that our intentions and our deeds accuse us before the tribunal of our conscience and convict us in YOUR sight.

O GREAT GOD OF HOLINESS, YOU know that we are but dust and in our weakness we often yield to selfish indulgences.  Create in us a pure heart and renew a steadfast spirit within us.  Strengthen us in our resolve to mend our ways.  Let our struggle with error and sin lead us to a clearer realization of the Truth of YOUR HOLY WORD and to a firmer adherence to YOUR LAW OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.  Help us to remove every misunderstanding between ourselves and our fellowmen.

YOU, LORD GOD OF HOSTS alone know when the day shall dawn in which the light of YOUR truth, brighter than that of the visible sun, shall encircle the whole earth.  But, surely that great day so fervently prayed for shall come, as surely as none of YOUR LIFE-GIVING WORDS return empty, but shall accomplish that for which YOU did send them.  O GOD, YOU are plenteous in mercy and forgiveness, please establish peace and harmony in our souls that we may be truly at one with YOU.

Then joy shall thrill all hearts and from one end of the earth to the other and the gladsome cry shall echo: "Hear, O Israel, hear all mankind, the ETERNAL our GOD, the ETERNAL is ONE." Then myriads will make pilgrimage to YOUR HOUSE which shall be called the "HOUSE OF PRAYER" and from their lips shall sound in spiritual joy:  "LORD, open for us the gates of YOUR TRUTH. Selah  Lift up your heads, O gates, O you gates! Be lifted up, you everlasting doors! So the KING OF GLORY may come in! WHO is the KING OF GLORY? — the LORD OF HOSTS, mighty and valiant, the LORD, valiant in battle. O gates, lift up your heads! Lift them up, you everlasting doors, so the KING OF GLORY may come in! WHO is the KING OF GLORY? — the LORD OF HOSTS, HE is the KING OF GLORY! Selah" [Psalms (Tehillym) 24. 7 - 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

May we ever thank YOU, our MAJESTIC LORD GOD, for sending Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH to be our only LOVING REDEEMER. And, may we ever revere, glorify and honour YOUR HOLY EXALTED NAME with praise.  We humbly bow to CHRIST JESUS OF NAZARETH, our WONDERFUL LORD, SAVIOR & REDEEMER.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we close this Sabbath Day, we rejoice in the new day and continue praising ALMIGHTY GOD for HIS FEASTS!

Our prayers for you and your family is that your life be filled with health, happiness, and prosperity in knowing our EXTRAORDINARY LOVING SAVIOR personally. Praised are YOU, YEHOWAH, our GOD, SOVEREIGN of the Universe.
Slichot begins tonight, the Saturday night before Rosh ha’Shanah.  This is a special series of prayers that invoke GOD’S mercy.   After the sin of the Golden Calf, Moses asked GOD to explain HIS system for relating with the world. GOD’S answer, known as the 13 Attributes of Mercy forms the essence of the Slichot prayers. The 13 Attributes speak of GOD’S patience, the same GOD WHO created us with a clean slate and a world of opportunity, gives us another opportunity if we’ve misused the first one.
The most important feature of Elul (the preparation month) is to make a plan for your life because the day will come when each of us will stand before the ALMIGHTY to ask for another year to serve HIM, and we will want to know what it is we are asking for. “O YEHOWAH, pardon the sins, transgressions and iniquities which we have committed before YOU. Purify us of all our errors and iniquities so that our life may be worthy of the name we bear and our home become a sanctuary consecrated to YOUR PRESENCE and dedicated to righteousness. Humbled by the sense of our weakness and our guilt, we ask YOU, O GOD of our fathers, to help us to serve YOU in sincerity and in truth; and in serving YOU, may our example help to lead many to YOU.“  "Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; renew in me a determined spirit." [Psalm 51:10]
The Tashlikh prayer is recited in the afternoon, preferably by a live stream of water in which we ask GOD to "throw away" our sins.  Upon returning home, special foods are served, especially sweet ones for a sweet year, as well as fruits (such as pomegranates, and then recite a prayer, “May our merits be as abundant as the seeds of the pomegranate.”) that require a special Shehecheyanu blessing in honor of their being eaten for the first time since the previous season.
Shana Tova uMetukah!  We wish you and your families a happy and healthy year – 5778
Ketiva V'Chatima Tova  A good inscribing and sealing
Day 29 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Faithfulness means that I can count on GOD; Commitment means that GOD can count on me.

PRIDEFUL SIN
"GOD resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Therefore, humble yourselves under the mighty hand of GOD, that HE may exalt you in due time." [1 Peter 5. 5 - 6]

As a result of his great pride, Satan fell and he blatantly rebelled against his CREATOR. When the ALMIGHTY cast him (Satan) out of his position as "the anointed cherub" covering GOD’S Throne [Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 28. 14, 16] the HOLY ONE said to him, "For you have said in your heart — I will ascend into heaven, higher than the stars of GOD I will set my throne. I will sit on the mount of the assembly on the summit of Zaphon (the north, abode of GOD). I will mount the back of a cloud — I will be like the MOST HIGH. — Instead, you are brought down to Sheol, to the lowest depths of the Pit." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 14. 13 – 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

When Eve was tempted by Satan, he appealed to her pride: "For GOD knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened and you will be like GOD WHO knows good and evil." [Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 5 Tanakh, Torah]   The heinous Deceiver still anticipates and aspires to defeat the HOLY OMNIPOTENT ONE OF HEAVEN & EARTH, and Eve’s descendants seek to be independent of their CREATOR, even to this day.  That is why Paul warned Timothy, and us, against "being lifted up with pride" lest we "fall into the condemnation of the devil." [1 Timothy 3. 6]

Pride, arrogance, self-importance, conceit, what-ever word one uses, is the easiest sin to commit and the most difficult to overcome, even for CHRIST-like-ones.  It is so easy to be proud of our strength, wealth, race, education, position, intelligence or even poverty and ignorance.  Some are even proud of their humility. . .proud of not being proud.

Thus, the Apostle Paul reminds us, "For who makes you differ from another? And what do you have that you did not receive? Now if you did indeed receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?" [1 Corinthians 4. 7]  Even Paul, with his unsurpassed education, being trained under Gamaliel and taught according to the strictness of our Laws [Acts 22. 3], still recognized and admitted that it was only "by the grace of GOD I am what I am." [1 Corinthians 15. 10]

The chief barrier to salvation is pride; one must acknowledge that he is a lost, a hell-deserving sinner before he can be saved "by GRACE — through FAITH and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of GOD, not of works, lest anyone should boast." [Ephesians 2. 8 - 9]

Thus we should "humble ourselves in the sight of the LORD, and HE will lift you up." [James 4. 10] And if there is any praise and boasting — it should only be in the LORD GOD OF HOSTS. "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honour and power and might, be to our GOD forever and ever, Amen" [Revelation 7. 12]  In the LORD GOD alone we should boast, HIS deeds and works are tremendously inestimable!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Good Shabbas...Welcome Bride of the Week! Sabbath of Nitzavim — “You Are Standing” [Reading: Deuteronomy 29:10 - 30:20; Isaiah 61:10 –63:9; John 12: 41-50]
O FATHER in heaven, in YOUR love YOU appointed for us a day of rest, that in YOUR PRESENCE we may regain that freedom of the soul which comes through obedience to YOUR commandments.  Quicken us by YOUR SPIRIT, may we learn how to ennoble the things of earth by sanctifying them to YOUR service.  May the blessings of the day gladden our hearts and inspire us to holier resolves and purer motives. Strengthen us, O GOD, and grant that new courage, new faith, new power descend upon us and upon all who strive to do YOUR will and to fulfill YOUR benevolent purposes. Amen
Shanah Tova uMetukah!  We wish you and your families a happy and healthy year – 5778
L'Shana Tova,Ketivah vi-chatima Tova." — "For a good year, you should be written and sealed in the good [BOOK OF LIFE]."
Day 28 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The moment you are proud of being humble, you loose your status!

PERFECT LAMB
"When HE came into the world, HE said — Sacrifice and offering YOU did not desire, but a body YOU have prepared for ME." [Hebrews 10. 5]

The writer of the Book of Hebrews had just pointed out that, despite all of the animal sacrifices offered up by the people of Israel over the centuries that it "is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins." [Hebrews 10. 4]  It would require the once-for-all offering of "the LAMB OF GOD WHO takes away the sin of the world." [John 1. 29]  Hebrews also makes it clear that the DIVINE ONE cannot come under the Law.

However, the PERFECT LAMB could be none other than GOD HIMSELF, in the INCARNATE PERSON of HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, the LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH.  No ordinary man, regardless of how powerful, wise, moral, or upright he may be, could ever accomplish such a extraordinary task.  Only GOD could do that, but HE must also be a man in order to pay the death penalty for man’s sin. "Now if a sojourner or stranger close to you has prospered, and one of your brethren who dwells by him becomes poor, and sells himself to the stranger or sojourner among you, or to a member of the stranger's family, after he is sold he may be redeemed again. One of his near kinsmen may redeem him." [Leviticus/Vayikra 25. 47 - 49]  Therefore GOD, taking the form of man, was also able to defeat death and live forever with those who would accept HIM as their SAVIOR, thus becoming their KINSMAN REDEEMER.  "For there is one GOD and one MEDIATOR between GOD and men, the MAN CHRIST JESUS, WHO gave HIMSELF a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." [1 Timothy 2. 5 - 6]  MESSIAH was both, ETERNAL GOD and PERFECT MAN, fulfilling the requirement of the Law.

Y’SHUA, our KINSMAN REDEEMER was rich in divine mercy, unselfish love, and amazing grace stepped out of Glory, came to earth in a body of flesh as the sinless LAST ADAM. HE was acquainted with our griefs and sin; then paid the unimaginable price to buy us back that we may ever fellowship with HIM.

To accomplish this, Y’SHUA must have a human body, one without genetically inherited transformational imperfections and no inherited Adamic sin nature.  Therefore, "a body YOU have prepared (made perfect) for ME."  The Greek word, katartizo, means "prepared" or "made perfect" is used only one other time in HOLY SCRIPTURE, "By faith we understand that the worlds were framed (prepared, made perfect) by the WORD OF GOD." [Hebrews 11. 3]  This correlation assures us that the AWESOME CREATOR "prepared" the human body of HIS BELOVED SON, to be placed in Miriam’s (Mary) virgin womb with the same perfect wisdom and care with which HE had "framed" the worlds. Both were made "very good" perfectly designed, created, and made to accomplish HIS great eternal plan for HIS pleasure.

"The LORD GOD has given ME the tongue of the learned…HE awakens MY ear to hear as the learned. The LORD GOD has opened MY ear; I did not disobey, I was not rebellious, nor did I turn away. I gave MY back to those who struck ME, and MY cheeks to those who tore out the beard; I did not hide MY face from shame and spitting." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 50. 4 - 6]

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Pray that you may never have to endure all that you can learn to bear.

 ASK FOR WISDOM
"Now this is the confidence that we have in HIM (the ALL-WISE MASTER), that if we ask anything according to HIS will, HE hears us. And if we know that HE hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of HIM." [1 John 5. 14 - 15]

When we ask in prayer believing, we know that OMNIPOTENT LORD OF HOSTS not only hears our petition, but also has told us, "Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them." [Mark 11. 24]   For those who ask for GODly wisdom, they first must fear the LORD, then depart from all evil and obey the commandments of the LORD JESUS and diligently pursue to know and be like HIM.  "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of GOD, WHO gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind." [James 1. 5 - 6]

"If you make your ear attentive to wisdom and your mind open to discernment; if you call to understanding and cry aloud to discernment, if you seek her (wisdom) as you do silver and search for her as for treasures; then you will understand the fear of the LORD and attain knowledge of GOD. For the LORD grants wisdom; knowledge and understanding are by HIS decree." [Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 2 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   "Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward GOD. And whatever we ask we receive from HIM, because we keep HIS commandments and do those things that are pleasing in HIS sight." [1 John 3. 21 - 22]

The promises of ETERNAL GOD are true and they are life.  GODly wisdom says:  "Mine are counsel and sound wisdom and resourcefulness; I am understanding; courage is mine. Those who love me, I love, and those who seek me diligently will find me." [Proverbs (Mishle) 8. 14, 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  If you would, with all your heart and soul, return to the LOVING MASTER and obey HIS voice according to all that HE commands you, you will find HIM. That is a promise and a blessing.

Such incredibly amazing love can only come from our HEAVENLY FATHER!  In HIM are riches and honor forevermore...and when we ask, our joy is complete.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Be reminded of your commitment to obey GOD in holiness and integrity of life. We are overwhelmingly grateful for ALMIGHTY GOD’S goodness and grace to us, truly HIS mercies endure forever.
In YOUR mercy, O LORD, remember us and all YOUR children. O FATHER & REDEEMER, mindful of YOUR covenant, we pray that YOUR love may never forsake us. Even as the rainbow recalls this covenant, so may each new day bring to all men the thought of YOUR gracious promise. Hasten the time when YOUR Law will be written in every heart, from the smallest to the greatest. Then shall mankind do YOUR will and the reward of righteous service shall be peace.
Grant, O LORD, that when the time of our departure comes, we may look back without sorrow upon the life we leave, and with trust in YOUR mercy enter that life which YOU have prepared for the righteous, Amen
Go forth and proclaim the GOOD NEWS as the BELOVED ONE commissioned while it is still day!
Shanah Tova uMetukah!  We wish you and your families a happy and healthy year – 5778

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 4 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The more laws and ordinances are multiplied, the more theft and violence increases — stick with The Ten GOD etched on stone and hearts. . . Love one another! Leviticus 19:18 shows ones love for humanity: "Love your fellow as yourself" "Beloved is man for he was created in the image of GOD." [Sifra 4:12] "Beloved are the Children of Israel for they are called children of the LORD."  [Pirkei Avot 3:18]  We are all precious to GOD. There is no favoritism in Heaven.

FAITH, HOPE, LOVE
"And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is LOVE." [1 Corinthians 13. 13]
Love and Charity are one and the same in meaning.  Pure and undefiled BIBLICAL love before GOD and the HEAVENLY FATHER is concern for the welfare of others. This is True Charity in its highest manifestation. . . by demonstration.

Faith, Hope, Love — these three abiding virtues are all involved in our eternal salvation. The orthodox doctrine establishes that faith is the only means pertinent to salvation.  "By grace you are saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of GOD." [Ephesians 2. 8]

Hope's characteristic is effectively operational in salvation.   If we have what we hope for, we no longer hope, we have.  "For we were saved in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope...but if we hope for what we do not see, then we eagerly wait for it with perseverance." [Romans 8. 24 - 25]   For those faithfully following MESSIAH Y’SHUA, hope is not just wishing, it is waiting — confidently expecting.  This hope is a "Blessed Hope" centered on KING MESSIAH Y’SHUA'S soon and imminent return. [Titus 2. 13]

Faith and Hope by which we are saved are themselves designed and directed in the BELOVED LORD JESUS.  Our faith is "the gift of GOD." The same is true of our Hope — "CHRIST in you, the HOPE of glory." [Colossians 1. 27]

Saving faith and saving hope, gifts given from our HEAVENLY FATHER, are our faith and our hope.  But, the love that saves is not our love; it is the love of GOD ALMIGHTY.  And, because of GOD'S perfect love, we know how to love others effectively. "For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, that whoever believes in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life...through HIM the world might be saved." [John 3. 16 - 17]   These three abide, our gift of faith, our hope, and our love in response to HIS GREATER LOVE.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Thank YOU LORD GOD for filling the heart with marvelous joy and peace, for giving us strength of faith in YOU for even greater tasks.  Our confidence rests solely in YOU, our GREAT, ETERNAL, WONDERFUL LORD.  YOU are the LIFE of all, the HELP of those that flee to YOU, the HOPE of those who cry to YOU. Cleanse us from our sins, secret and open, and from every thought displeasing to YOUR goodness — purify our bodies and souls, our hearts and consciences, that with a pure heart, and a clear soul, with perfect love and calm hope, we may venture confidently and fearlessly to pray to YOU. Amen

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
You cannot give your problems to GOD if you won’t let go of them.

 FROM YOUTH TO OLD AGE
"Joshua now was old, advanced in years. And the LORD said to him — You have grown old, you are advanced in years; and very much of the land still remains to be taken possession of." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 13. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im]   Today there "still remains very much land to be taken possessed of" for the "harvest truly is great, but the laborers are few." [Luke 10. 2]

Joshua had survived the forty years in the wilderness, then led the Israelites in the long, hard conquest of Canaan Land.  Now, at least in his eighties, he is nearing his last days — even the MOST HIGH told him that he was "old and stricken in years!" However, instead of allowing Joshua to retire or even slow down, GOD ALMIGHTY sent him out again for further victories and land to win.

Joshua's colleague, Caleb, was eighty-five years old when he finally inherited Hebron.  He was forty years old when Moses, the servant of the LORD sent him from Kadesh-Barnea to spy out the Promised Land. The LORD GOD OF ISRAEL promised him through Moses, "The land where your foot has trodden shall be a portion for you and your descendants forever, because you have wholly followed YEHOWAH ELOHEY." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 14. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]   It is also recorded that Caleb was as strong at eighty-five as he was at forty; for just as his strength was then, so it was his strength for battle, to go out and to coming in. [Joshua/Yehoshua 14. 11]

This must be the attitude of those who love and serve the SOVEREIGN LORD. There is still much SCRIPTURE to study, lessons to be learned which the BLESSED ONE, the STRENGTH of Israel, wants to teach us, many souls to reach with the GOOD NEWS, many with whom to share GOD'S love and comfort, as well as more promises to experience.  Even if one is stricken and confined at home, the one great ministry which especially sick ones may share and thank OMNIPOTENT HOLY ONE for is a ministry of prayer. What a breath-taking opportunity. . . prayers that set in operation the vast machinery of ALMIGHTY GOD…to change the destiny of a life, a world, may even hasten the day of HIS appearing!  What wondrous things are accomplished with prayer!

No one who knows the redemptive love of MESSIAH Y’SHUA is ever too old to possess more land for the LORD YESHUA.  "The righteous bloom like a date palm; they thrive like a cedar in Lebanon; planted in the HOUSE OF THE LORD, they flourish in the courts of our GOD. In old age they shall produce fruit; they are full of sap and freshness, attesting that the LORD is upright; HE is my ROCK, in WHOM there is no wrong." [Psalms (Tehillym) 92. 12 - 15 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  Old age eventually comes to everyone — if they should live so long, but that does not mean it is time to cease from life.  Always, we are to "strive to have a conscience without offense toward GOD and men." [Acts 24. 16]

"You have let me experience it (righteousness), GOD, from my youth; until now I have proclaimed YOUR wondrous deeds, and even in hoary old age do not forsake me, ELOHIYM, until I proclaim YOUR strength to the next generation, YOUR mighty acts, to all who are to come, YOUR beneficence, high as the heavens, O GOD, YOU WHO have done great things; O GOD, who is like YOU? YOU WHO have made me undergo many troubles and misfortunes will revive me again, and raise me up again from the depths of the earth. YOU will grant me much greatness, YOU will turn and comfort me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 71. 17 - 21 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

All the days of our life, and with our last breath, may we proclaim how great and mighty is the LORD our GOD, the LORD OF HOSTS!  Assuredly, the will of GOD never takes you to where the GOD of all grace will not be with you.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Shalom U'Vrakah (Peace & Blessings)!  My SAVIOR is a HOLY & JUST GOD, look to HIM and be saved. How good it is to praise YEHOWAH, to sing hymns to the MOST HIGH proclaiming HIS steadfast love.  Our prayer for you is that the great and mighty LORD GOD OF ISRAEL be with you this day and always!
Shana Tova uMetukah!   We wish you and your families a happy and healthy year - 5778.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Unless we remember, we cannot understand. [-Edward Morgan Foster]  GOD commanded us to remember because it is only by treasuring the message of the past that we can understand the present and trust HIM for a even more blessed future.

THROUGH IT ALL
"But now, thus says the LORD — WHO created you, O Jacob, WHO formed you, O Israel: Fear not, for I will redeemed you; I have singled you out by name, YOU ARE MINE. When you pass through water, I will be with you; through streams, they shall not overwhelm you. When you walk through fire, you shall not be scorched; through flame, it shall not burn you." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 43. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This tremendous promise is essentially to be understood in a spiritual connotation — a deliverance through overflowing sorrows and fiery trials.   However, the ETERNAL ONE has demonstrated HIS ability to fulfill the spiritual aspects of the promise by HIS miraculous literal fulfillment in the physical realm also.  The crossing of the Red Sea by the Israelites is one literal example of safely passing through deep waters.

Those "Three Fiery Israelites — Hananiah (Shadrach), Mishael (Meshach) and Azariah (Abed-nego)" were in Nebuchadnezzar's fiery furnace from where the MOST HIGH GOD delivered them from burning.  This, after HE personally joined them in a sizzlingly glorious "triumphant march" through the flames. [Daniel/Danyel 3. 25]  As the three emerged untouched from the flames of the "furnace that was heated to excess," the king, the satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the royal companions were awe-struck when they "looked at those men, on whose bodies the fire had had no effect, the hair of whose heads had not been singed, whose shirts looked no different, to whom not even the odor of fire clung." [Daniel (Danyel) 3. 22, 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"The world that then existed perished, being flooded with water, but the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same WORD, are reserved for fire until the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly men." [2 Peter 3. 6 - 7]   The whole world perished once, being flooded with water.  But, "a few, that is, eight souls were saved through water." [1 Peter 3. 20]   In Noah's Ark, the eight were carried safely away from the violent, sin-filled world.  Furthermore, "the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up." [2 Peter 3. 10]   However, all who trust in the saving blood of MESSIAH Y’SHUA will be "saved; yet so as through fire." [1 Corinthians 3. 15]

In our firmly grounded confidence in the precious LORD JESUS, may we boast as did the psalmist:  "YOU have tried us, O GOD, refining us as one refines silver. YOU have caught us in a net, caught us in trammels (restraints, chains) and laid afflictions on our loins. YOU have let men ride over us; we have endured FIRE and WATER, and You have brought us through to prosperity." [Psalms (Tehillym) 66. 10 - 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   The MIGHTY ETERNAL GOD keeps us through the fires and waters not from them for our refining and HIS glory.

These recorded accounts of the past and promises of the future assure us that Omnipotent ALL-LOVING GOD is able to deliver us through the deep, difficult waters and painful, burning trials of this immediate life.   "That the trial of your faith…though it be tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor and glory at the appearing of MESSIAH Y’SHUA." [1 Peter 1. 7]   Whatever comes our way, whatever trials be our lot, we can trust in our REDEEMER & LORD, through it all.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Exalted and hallowed be GOD'S greatness in this world of YOUR creation. May YOUR will be fulfilled and YOUR sovereignty revealed in the days of our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel speedily and in our time, Amen.  May YOU be blessed forever, even to all eternity. May YOU, MOST HOLY ONE, be blessed, praised & honored, extolled & glorified, adored & exalted above all else.  Blessed are YOU beyond all blessings & hymns, praises & consolations that may be uttered in this world, Amen. May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all Israel. Amen

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Appreciate and respect those who find time for you in their busy schedule…but love the people who never look at their schedule when you need them.

LIVING STONES
"The king ordered huge blocks of choice stone to be quarried, so that the foundations of the House might be laid with costly hewed stones. When the House was built, only finished stones cut at the quarry were used, so that no hammer or ax or any iron tool was heard in the House while it was in building." [1 Kings (Melakhim Alef) 5. 17; 6. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The building of Solomon's Temple was one of the most remarkable construction operations in history.  Much renowned and breathtaking beauty of the Temple in Jerusalem was attributed to the true stones — most beautiful and costly, quarried from beds of white limestone which were used in the structure of the edifice.

One of the most remarkable features of its building was the fact that each stone was carefully cut and dimensioned perfectly while still in the quarry, so that the HOUSE OF GOD itself could be erected in silence, with each stone fitting perfectly in place as it came to the Temple (Hebrew: Heykal) site.  The Temple, the structure where the LORD OF HOST would meet with HIS people, was considered, too sacred to permit the noise of construction during its erection.

In the NEW COVENANT, the physical Temple is taken as a type of the mighty HOUSE OF GOD being erected by the HOLY SPIRIT.   You "have been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, MESSIAH Y’SHUA HIMSELF being the CHIEF CORNERSTONE; in WHOM the whole building, being fitly joined together, grows into a holy temple in the LORD; in WHOM you also are built together for a habitation of GOD through the SPIRIT." [Ephesians 2. 20 - 22]

Each believer is like one of the beautiful Temple stones, so costly that the price was the shed blood of LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH.  Drawn out (literally: pulled out, specifically chosen — Hebrew: shalaph) of the Great Pit of Sin by the HOLY SPIRIT, each person, individually, is being placed quietly in the great spiritual temple.  "You also, as living stones, are built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to ALMIGHTY GOD by CHRIST JESUS." [1 Peter 2. 5]

Oh, that the children of the LIVING GOD would fulfill HIS desire and command, "Let them make ME a Sanctuary that I might dwell within them." [Exodus (Shemot) 25. 8 Tanakh, Torah]

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcome Sabbath! Sabbath of Ki Tavo – “When You Come” [Reading: Deuteronomy 26:1 - 29:9; Isaiah 60:1–22; Matthew 4:13-24]
We thank YOU, GREAT & MIGHTY GOD for by YOUR mercies and grace we were taught the sanctity of the weekly day of rest, Sabbath is the sign of the tie that binds us to YOU. Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR perfect rest. Amen
Shabbos calls us to bring the highest moral values. to our daily labor and to culminate the workweek with kedushah (holiness), menuchah (rest), and oneg (joy). May GOD, WHOSE grace is irresistible and all sufficient, be glorified.
May you be blessed with the rest of love freely given, a rest of truth and sincerity, a rest in peace and tranquility, in quiet and safety, a perfect rest in which you find favor.  The grace of our LORD Y’SHUA the MESSIAH be with you always; be sure to dedicate yourselves today to the LORD GOD MOST HIGH as HE may impart blessings on you.  May HE dwell in your heart and keep you rooted and grounded in love.
Day 21 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A Reminder:  In case you are headed the wrong direction in life, GOD allows you-turns!

LACKING WISDOM
"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of GOD, WHO gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind." [James 1. 5 - 6]

These verses give a clear and distinct contrast between faith and doubt. The LORD Y’SHUA taught that "if you have faith and do not doubt (waver, vacillate, be indecisive, question), you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but also if you say to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' it will be done. And whatever things you ask in prayer, believing, you will receive." [Matthew 21. 21 - 22]

A doubter, James explains, can be compared to the ocean waves and tides. Waves are caused by wind which imparts energy to the ocean water which scarcely eases until the wave crashed onto the shoreline, miles from its original source of energy. They vary in types: the transverse, which goes up and down; the longitudinal, that stretches and compresses coiling at once then released; traveling & standing waves; and diffractional that are straight waves that becomes curved.

The peculiarity (oddity, strangeness) of the tides is they are caused by gravitational attraction of the moon and sun in an apparent motion around the earth; differing in accordance to the position of the sun and moon. A wave cannot stay in one place, it surges onto the shore and recedes backward. It rises up and sinks down on a time schedule. It contains much froth as well as great energy, which cannot efficiently be harnessed for good, but has the potential to cause great damage.

This paints a clear picture of the doubting, cynical, half-believing skeptic. Willingly receiving onward and upward impulses, he cannot sustain them and quickly sinks to his former depth, only to rise again, in an endless cycle until ultimately dissipating all energy on some rocky shoreline of life.  James warns, "a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." [James 1. 8]

Paul, the apostle, urges in a similar way, that we "should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into HIM WHO is the head — CHRIST." [Ephesians 4. 14 - 15]

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath with the Havdallah Ceremony, we use all of our senses: We taste the wine, smell the spices, see the shadow of candles, hear prayers and songs, touch family and friends as we wish them a "Good Week."
Our prayer is that GOD, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins, guide our life, and fill the coming days with HIS DIVINE PRESENCE.  May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be your daily fragrance.
Day 22 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A tradesman at his task need not rise before the most learned teacher.

ATTRIBUTES OF PRAYER
"When YOU hear the supplications that YOUR servant and YOUR people, Israel, offer toward this place, give heed in YOUR heavenly abode — give heed and pardon." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 6. 21 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

In Solomon's "Prayer of Dedication" for the Temple he petitions the GREAT SOVEREIGN GOD OF ISRAEL at least eight times to "hear from heaven." [2 Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Bet 6. 21, 23, 25, 27, 30, 33, 35, 39]  But how can GOD hear our prayers, especially those uttered in silence?  The answer — GOD is Omniscient (all-knowing), Omnipresent (always everywhere) and Omnipotent (all-powerful).  Even though the HOLY ONE is on HIS Heavenly Throne, HE is also right here with us and in us, as we allow!   David prayed, "O LORD, YOU have examined me and know me.  YOU understand my thoughts from afar." [Psalms (Tehillym) 139. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  The ALMIGHTY MASTER can and does hear our prayers.  "Shall HE WHO implants the ear not hear?  HE that formed the eye not see?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 94. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

In a manner of speaking, the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL hears the prayers of HIS redeemed today even more directly than in David's time; for we, who trust MESSIAH Y’SHUA, have been indwelt by the HOLY SPIRIT OF TRUTH.  "As GOD has said — I will dwell in them and walk among them. I will be their GOD, and they shall be MY people." [2 Corinthians 6. 16]  "The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, and HIS ears are open to their prayers; but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil." [1 Peter 3. 12]

The TRUE & LIVING GOD OF HEAVEN irrefutably can hear our prayers.  But, there comes a time when HE refuses to hear!  "Had I an evil thought in my mind, the LORD would not have listened." [Psalm (Tehillym) 66. 18 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  "No, the LORD'S arm is not too short to save; or HIS ear too dull to hear; but your INIQUITIES have been a barrier between you and your GOD.  Your SINS have made HIM turn HIS face away and refuse to hear you." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 59. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

If we first "Live as HE requires" — then we can confidently ask anything according to HIS will and "HE hears us. And if we know that HE hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of HIM." [1 John 5. 14 - 15]

Now is the time of salvation!  Awake! You that are sleepy and ponder your deeds; Remember your CREATOR and go to HIM for forgiveness. Don't be like those who miss reality in their hunt after shadows and waste your years in seeking after vain things which can neither profit nor deliver.  Look well to your soul and consider your deeds; let each one of you forsake his evil ways and thoughts, and return to the LORD GOD so HE may have mercy on you.  The LORD JESUS is waiting, even now!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
I humbly bow before the ALMIGHTY & TRUE LORD GOD and thank and praise HIM for the goodness HE lavishes on those who trust in HIM alone.  Praised is the GREAT GOD of our fathers, the MIGHTY & REVERED ONE, the MOST HIGH GOD WHO imparts loving-kindness on all creatures; and in love, redeemed us for HIS NAME’S sake.  We delight in YOU, O SOVEREIGN ONE, our KING, HELPER, SAVIOR and PROTECTOR.  Praised are YOU, O LORD, my ROCK and my REDEEMER WHO rules in holiness.

Have a wonderful day serving our AWESOME & MAGNIFICENT GOD, and one another.
Day 20 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The day is short, the work is plentiful, the laborers are slothful, the reward is much and the MASTER is urgent.

COUNTED WORTHY
"Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the SON OF MAN." [Luke 21. 36]

The LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA spoke these words as HE taught of HIS second coming, thus directing us to prepare our minds and hearts to "bear fruits worthy of repentance" [Matthew 3. 8] that we might escape the wrath that ALMIGHTY GOD will soon bring upon this corrupt and sinful world.  The SOVEREIGN LORD is coming for those "who have not defiled their garments" and who walk daily with the RIGHTEOUS ONE in obedience of HIS commands; they too shall walk with HIM "in white, for they are worthy." [Revelation 3. 4]

Although some may preach and profess that man can never be worthy, the LORD JESUS would not have commanded the impossible, for with HIM, all things are possible.  "He who does not take his cross and follow after ME is not worthy of ME." [Matthew 10. 38]

The Apostle Paul continued to instruct and admonish us to walk worthy:  "I, therefore, the prisoner of the LORD, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called." [Ephesians 4. 1]  "We exhorted, and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own children, that you would walk worthy of GOD WHO calls you into HIS OWN Kingdom and glory." [1 Thessalonians 2. 11 - 12]

May you be filled with the "knowledge of HIS will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may have a walk worthy of the LORD, fully pleasing HIM, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of GOD." [Colossians 1. 9 - 10]   "In all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure, which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment of GOD, that you may be counted worthy of the Kingdom of GOD, for which you also suffer." [2 Thessalonians 1. 4 - 5]

When Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH returns, those found worthy will be raptured.  "For the LORD HIMSELF will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of GOD.  And the dead in CHRIST will rise first.  Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in the air. And thus we shall always be with the LORD." [1 Thessalonians 4. 16 - 17]

Those not worthy will be left behind.  "It is a righteous thing with GOD to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the LORD JESUS is revealed from heaven with HIS mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know GOD, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our LORD JESUS CHRIST.  These shall be punished with EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION from the presence of the LORD and from the glory of HIS power, when HE comes, in that Day, to be glorified in HIS saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.  Therefore we also pray always for you that our GOD would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of HIS goodness and the work of faith with power." [2 Thessalonians 1. 6 – 11; Psalms/Tehillym 50. 1 - 6]

As saints of the MOST HIGH GOD we are called to be worthy to escape, worthy to walk in the white garments, worthy of the calling, worthy of Y’SHUA OF NAZARETH and worthy of the Kingdom of GOD; just as the LAMB OF GOD proves to be worthy of all worship, adoration and praise with GOD THE FATHER:  "Worthy is the LAMB WHO was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength and honour and glory and blessing! Amen" [Revelation 5. 12]   Yes and Amen!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Take delight in approaching GOD and the glory of the LORD will be your reward.  HE will protect and guide you continually, satisfying your soul like a watered garden, who's water fails not.
Day 19 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 4 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

Post  Admin Wed 29 Aug 2018, 9:23 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
I've had a lot of problems in my life and most of them have never happened!

WONDERFUL WORDS OF LIFE
"LORD, YOUR testimonies and decrees are wondrous; rightly do I observe them." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 129 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

It is not possible to place the HOLY BIBLE on a pedestal that is too illustrious and majestically distinguished.  "YOUR testimonies are wondrous...the WORDS YOU inscribed give light and understanding" — declares the psalmist, for YOUR NAME is "WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, EVERLASTING FATHER, PRINCE OF PEACE" [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6] — WHOSE testimonies they are.

GOD'S WRITTEN WORD is wonderfully amazing, they were written in the heart of the TRUE & LIVING ETERNAL ONE even before creation.  "Forever, O LORD, YOUR WORD stands firm in heaven." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 89 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  Then, "at various times and in different manners" — this INFINITE WORD OF GOD was conveyed to men as the DIVINE ONE "spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets." [Hebrews 1. 1]   At last it was complete, and the last of the prophets concluded it with an extensive warning, "If any man shall add to these things, may GOD add to him the plagues that are written in this BOOK; and if anyone takes away from the WORDS of the BOOK of this prophecy, may GOD take away his part from the BOOK OF LIFE, from the Holy City, and from the things which are written in this BOOK." [Revelation 22. 18 - 19]

All who criticize or tamper with the UNWAVERING WORDS of the BIBLE are on dangerous ground, for "the WORD OF THE LORD endures forever." [1 Peter 1. 25]   The psalmist expounds, "Truth is the essence of YOUR WORD, YOUR righteous judgment is eternal." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 160 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   MESSIAH Y’SHUA confirmed, "Heaven and earth shall pass away, but MY WORDS shall not pass away." [Matthew 24. 35]

Eternal — in the past, sacred — in the present, unchanging — in the future; all we shall ever need for our daily guidance is found in GOD'S WONDERFUL TESTIMONIES.  "ALL SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of GOD may be complete (perfect), thoroughly equipped for every good work." [2 Timothy 3. 16 - 17]

It is not possible to have too high a view of the HOLY SCRIPTURES, "because YOU have magnified and exalted YOUR WORD, above YOUR NAME." [Psalms (Tehillym) 138. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   Now, it is even more distinctly evident that THE WORD became Flesh . . . "In the beginning was THE WORD, and THE WORD was with GOD, and THE WORD was GOD." [John 1. 1]  JESUS. . . the INIMITABLE, UNCHANGING, LIVING WORD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Again today we are presented with a tremendous opportunity to express our overwhelming gratitude for ALMIGHTY GOD’S goodness and grace to us, and to renew our commitment to walk in loving obedience all the days of our lives.  May we always celebrate the ties of love and faith that bind us through MESSIAH Y’SHUA.
Day 18 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Don't seek to be seen; but seek to shine that others may see.

CHASTISEMENT OF OUR PEACE
"HE (Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH) was wounded because of our sins (transgressions), HE was bruised because of our iniquities (sin, wickedness). HE bore the chastisement (punishment) for our peace that made us whole, and with HIS stripes healing was granted to us." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Isaiah 52:13 thru 53:12 contain the clearest and fullest exposition of the substitutionary sacrifice of the LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH for our sins found in the HOLY SCRIPTURES. The PRECIOUS LAMB that was slain in our place.

The two most important themes focused on in Isaiah are LAW & JUDGMENT and GRACE & SALVATION paralleling all the other books of both the OLD & NEW COVENANTS. The prophecies of John the Baptist's coming to prepare the way of MESSIAH are there along with the prophecies of things to happen before the second coming of the LORD JESUS CHRIST along with the New Heavens and the New Earth.

The central theme of Isaiah records MESSIAH Y’SHUA'S chastisement upon HIMSELF for our peace. Salvation is the very heart of the GOSPEL. Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH was "wounded...pierced through" as with great spikes and "bruised — crushed to death" for our sins that we could receive peace and reconciliation of being restored with GOD ALMIGHTY because the LORD JESUS was "chastised" {Hebrew: "musar" means discipline, punishment, correction, chastening, a shameful humbling} in our place. Y’SHUA, the CRUCIFIED ONE "was delivered up because of our offenses, and was raised because of our justification." [Romans 4. 25]

The WONDERFUL SHEPHERD & OVERSEER of our soul, "bore our sins in HIS OWN BODY on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness by WHOSE stripes you were healed." [1 Peter 2. 24] And, we are forever "healed" of our malignant, lethal sin-sickness because HE received the harsh blows of the Roman whip that caused the "stripes" that should have been unleashed upon us.

Oh! the unfathomable, immeasurably wondrous love the HOLY OMNISCIENT CREATOR has for us!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Grant us peace, YOUR most precious gift, O ETERNAL SOURCE OF PEACE. Flood blessings on YOUR people that we may be a stronghold of peace and proclaim YOUR salvation. May contentment reign with each heart, health and happiness in the homes of those YOU redeemed. Strengthen the bonds of friendship and fellowship and plant virtue in every soul, and may the love of YOUR HOLY NAME permeate every heart. Praised are YOU, O LORD, GIVER of peace.
Day 17 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Freedom is having morals to do what we should do, freedom is not just doing what we want to do.

THOSE RESPONSIBLE — EVERYONE! (Conclusion)
The crucifixion of the MESSIAH Y’SHUA OF NAZARETH is an event in which the whole world took part. HIS Jewish disciples and well-wishers forsook HIM and fled; Gentiles spat on HIM and mocked the LORD OF GLORY. Jews delivered HIM to Pontius Pilate; Gentiles nailed Y’SHUA to Golgotha's Cross. Jews cried, "Crucify HIM! Crucify HIM!" Gentiles gambled for HIS seamless garment. Believing Jews wept at the foot of the cross; Gentiles crushed the crown of thorns on HIS brow. Completed Jews brought costly spices; Gentiles offered HIM vinegar and gall. MESSIANIC Jews were HIS pallbearers; Gentiles pierced HIS side. Thus, both the Jews and Gentiles are ALL responsible for crucifying our LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, GOD'S PRECIOUS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON.

No one is exempt from responsibility in the death of MESSIAH Y’SHUA! The Jewish prophet Isaiah wrote — "It was our sickness that HE was bearing, our suffering that HE endured. We accounted HIM plagued, smitten and afflicted by GOD; but HE was wounded because of our sins, crushed because of our iniquities; HE bore the chastisement that made us whole, and by HIS bruises we were healed...through the sins of MY people, who deserved the punishment, HE was cut off from the land of the living, it is their punishment that HE bore...and HE bore the guilt of the many and made intercession for sinners." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 4 - 5, 8, 12 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Before OMNIPOTENT GOD, the ENTIRE WORLD IS GUILTY of the crucifixion of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. HIS suffering and death was necessary for our salvation. According to the DIVINE PLAN, the INNOCENT ONE must die in order that we might live. The SON OF RIGHTEOUSNESS must be made sin in order that we might be made righteous in HIM. The MESSIAH must suffer the wrath and judgment of the RIGHTEOUS MOST HOLY LORD GOD so that we might be reconciled to our HEAVENLY MAKER, the LION OF JUDAH, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL. This ONE WHO was the PERFECT SUBSTITUTE, the PERFECT SACRIFICE, PERFECT RANSOM and PERFECT DELIVERER for our souls is Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH (TREASURED LORD — THE WORD — GOD INCARNATE — IMMANU'EL). And we, Jew or Gentile, believing upon HIM and accepting MESSIAH as the MASTER & LORD of our life are pardoned from our sins, are covered over by the blood of the PIERCED LAMB; and we receive HIS life and righteousness!

With love comes an obligation, if we love the LORD JESUS, we will keep HIS Commandments. Go, therefore, into all the world and tell this "GOOD NEWS"...wholeness (holiness) is available for the asking!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Good Shabbas! Those who keep Sabbath and call it a delight shall rejoice in GOD'S Kingdom.
Sabbath of Ki Tetze – “When You Go” [Reading: Deuteronomy 21:10 - 25:19; Isaiah 54:1 – 10; Matthew 24:29-42]
Through the common days flow the refreshing waters of GOD'S loving-kindness, yet we forget THE SOURCE. May this hour awaken within us a sense of our dependence upon YOU. Create in us a clean heart and renew a right spirit within us that we may face our daily duty with a firm courage and a tranquil mind. May we learn to know that in loving and serving our fellowmen, we are loving and serving YOU, O MERCIFUL ONE. May the spirit of the Sabbath fill our life with its blessed peace through YOUR PRECIOUS SON, Y’SHUA THE MESSIAH. Amen.
Day 14 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In order to receive direction from GOD, you must be able to receive correction from GOD.

YEHOWAH RAPHA
"If you will heed the LORD your GOD diligently, doing what is upright in HIS sight, giving ear to HIS commandments and keeping all HIS Laws, then I will not bring upon you any of the diseases that I brought upon the Egyptians, for I the LORD am your HEALER." [Exodus (Shemot) 15. 26 Tanakh, Torah]

All praise and thanks to our LOVING ETERNAL GOD! HE still heals today. HE is the same WONDERFUL MIRACLE-WORKING OMNIPOTENT LORD, able to deliver from every power of the old devil. Our GRACIOUS EVERLASTING KING has not changed HIS covenant or HIS NAME!

In the OLD COVENANT the Jewish prophet Isaiah asks a question concerning the OMNIPOTENT LORD that heals. "Who can believe what we have heard? Upon whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed?" [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The NEW COVENANT holds the answer. . .when the arm of the ALMIGHTY was revealed through Messiah Y’shua: "But although HE (MESSIAH Y’SHUA) had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in HIM, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke — LORD, who has believed our report? and to whom has the ARM OF THE LORD been revealed?" [John 12. 37 - 38]

The Prophet Isaiah saw the SUFFERING MESSIAH and exclaimed, "Yet it was our sickness that HE was bearing, our suffering that HE endured. We accounted HIM plagued, smitten and afflicted by GOD; but HE was wounded because of our sins, crushed because of our iniquities, HE bore the chastisement that made us whole, and by HIS stripes was healing granted to us." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 4 - 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Again in the NEW COVENANT, this prophecy is fulfilled in the LORD JESUS, "When evening had come, they brought to HIM (Y’SHUA) many who were demon-possessed. And HE cast out the spirits with HIS word, and healed all who were sick, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying: HE HIMSELF took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses." [Matthew 8. 16 - 17]

King David knew the GREAT PHYSICIAN — his heart went up in praise to YAH as he spoke these praises: "Bless the LORD, O my soul and do not forget all HIS bounties. HE forgives all your sins, heals all your diseases." [Psalms (Tehillym) 103. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim ]

Moses, also, knew the MIGHTY HEALER. The HOLY ONE commanded him to raise a "copper serpent upon a pole" so the Israelites who had been poisoned in their bodies, looking upon it would be healed! [Numbers/B'Midvar 21] And, as Moses lifted up the fiery serpent in the wilderness, so must the MAN OF SORROWS be lifted up that those who were poisoned by sin and disease, looking upon HIM (specifically, believed in the SON OF MAN), could be healed.

At the time of the first Passover, the Israelites were commanded to take a lamb, kill it, shed its blood, and eat its meat. Not only was the blood given for redemption of the soul, but the meat of the lamb was to be eaten for strength and health for the journey into the Land of Promise.

CREATOR GOD expects every child of HIS who has applied the blood of the LAMB (Y’SHUA, GOD'S SON) to their hearts' door in faith for deliverance from soul bondage, to also partake, by faith, of the meat of the GOD'S LAMB for strength and health through this wilderness (world) journey into the Promised Land! Not only was the blood of the LAMB shed for remission of our sins, but HIS body was bruised and broken for our physical health!

Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH was made a curse in order to redeem us from the curse of the Law. HE WHO knew no sin was made sin so that we, believing upon HIM, might be delivered from sin. HE WHO knew no sickness, was made sick that we, believing on HIM, might be delivered from sickness. Even in death, complete healing does come to the believer, for we are promised a new, incorruptible body like HIS. [1 Corinthians 15. 35 - 58]

My dear Jewish people, it was for you (and our beloved Gentile Brethren) that Y’SHUA the LORD & SAVIOR paid the price for our deliverance and healing. Receive HIM today not only as your Messiah Who has redeemed your soul, but also as "YEHOWAH RAPHA — The LORD that HEALS." Our MERCIFUL, LOVING GOD is able, and willing, and eager to extend HIS mercy to all those who will call upon HIM in faith. All things are possible to who ever believes!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Our prayer, as we bid farewell to Sabbath, is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you abundantly and guard you, our dear ones in the coming week. May you be filled with love and unselfishness — that happiness and contentment may abide in your homes.
Praised are YOU LORD GOD, RULER of the world, WHO has given us YOUR Law of Truth and implanted within us everlasting life. YOUR Law of Truth & Righteousness reveals to all lands the words of the prophets YOU are GOD, there is no other. YOUR glorious Throne, exalted from the beginning, is the place of our sanctuary wherein we give praises to YOU, the ONE who is worthy of all adoration. LORD, YOU alone are the ONE we praise.
Day 15 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 4 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

Post  Admin Thu 23 Aug 2018, 8:55 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In time of trouble one tends to make vows; in time of comfort to change one's mind.

THOSE RESPONSIBLE — MESSIAH   (Part 2 of 4)
"I am the GOOD SHEPHERD. The GOOD SHEPHERD gives HIS life for the sheep. Therefore MY FATHER loves ME because I lay down MY life that I may take it again. No one takes it from ME, but I LAY IT DOWN of MYSELF. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This command I have received from MY FATHER." [John 10. 11, 17 - 18]

Y’SHUA, the ANOINTED ONE, was not forced to die.  HE consented to it, for HIS FATHER had so commanded.  When Peter took a sword and used it to defend his BELOVED MASTER, JESUS rebuked him — "Put up your sword into the sheath. Shall I not drink the cup which MY FATHER has given ME?" [John 18. 11]  Our WONDERFUL LORD drank the full cup of bitterness so we would not have to.

It was prophesied in the OLD COVENANT that the MESSIAH would give HIMSELF over to suffering and death. "I offered MY back to the floggers, and MY cheeks to them that tore out MY beard, I did not hide MY face from the shame of insult and spittle." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 50. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]   Yes, the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH gave HIS head to wear the thorns for you; HE gave HIS cheeks to be struck with many blows for you.  "Let HIM give HIS cheek to the one who strikes HIM; and be full of reproach and mockery." [Lamentations (Ekhah) 3. 30 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

JESUS, the MAN OF SORROWS, gave HIS eyes to weep over your sins; HE gave HIS tongue to pray for you; HE gave HIS back to be ploughed for you. "Plowmen plowed across MY back; they made long their furrows." [Psalms (Tehillym) 129. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Y’SHUA, the MERCIFUL REDEEMER OF ISRAEL, then gave HIS side for you to be pierced with a spear; HIS hands opened to the cruel nails; and HE gave HIS soul, an offering for you.   Yes, HE clothed HIMSELF in a human body that HE might have it to offer sacrificially for you.  "Therefore, when HE came into the world, HE said — Sacrifice and offering YOU did not desire, but a body YOU have prepared for ME." Then HE added — "Behold, I have come to do YOUR will, O GOD. HE takes away the first that HE may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of JESUS CHRIST once for all." [Hebrews 10. 5, 9 - 10]

The BELOVED Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH possessed a human heart that it might be broken and allowed HIS life's blood to be poured out that it might freely flow giving HIS LIFE for the world!  Who-so-ever will may freely receive this PRECIOUS ATONEMENT for sin.  Now is the acceptable time, now is the day of salvation.

. . . to be continued

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Rejoice and magnify the LORD with me and let us exalt HIS NAME together. HIS glory is in the earth and in the heavens. HE is the strength of all HIS servants, the praise of them that truly love HIM, the HOPE of Israel and the whole world.  HalleluYAH!
Chazaq ve'Emats! — Be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the Law which Moses MY servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.  This BOOK OF THE LAW shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.  For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." [Joshua/Yehoshua 1.7-8]
Day 12 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A simple maidservant saw miracles on the Red Sea which even Ezekiel did not envision.

THOSE RESPONSIBLE — GOD THE FATHER   (Part 3 of 4)
Without the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of ALMIGHTY GOD, there could have been no crucifixion scene for it was foreordained before the foundation of the world that the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD would be "cut off."  Jews and Gentiles were gathered together against Y’SHUA , the MAN OF SORROWS, "to do whatever YOUR (GOD'S) hand and YOUR purpose determined before to be done." [Acts 4. 28]    The HOLY ONE HIMSELF, blessed be HE, was responsible for the death of the LORD Y’SHUA, the UNIQUE ANOINTED ONE!   In the very beginning it was GOD, the OMNISCIENT PRE-INCARNATE WORD OF GOD WHO slew an animal in the Garden of Eden, shedding its blood to provide coats of the skin to clothe and cover Adam and Eve.  This prefigures the "GREATER SACRIFICE" which the HIGH & LOFTY ONE was to give for the redemptive atonement to "whosoever" will accept HIS free gift.   Before the creation of the earth it was in the mind of the HEAVENLY FATHER that the SON would come because HE was the ONLY PERFECT SUBSTITUTE to die that those, believing on HIM, could live.  This SINLESS LAMB was "slain before the foundation of the earth" by the determinate counsel of ALMIGHTY OMNIPOTENT GOD!

"The LORD (GOD THE FATHER) has laid on HIM (GOD THE SON) the iniquity and guilt of all of us. But the LORD (FATHER GOD) chose to bruise HIM (MESSIAH Y’SHUA); HE (GOD THE FATHER) put HIM (GOD THE SON) to grief and crushed HIM.  HE (LORD Y’SHUA) made HIMSELF an "OFFERING" for sin and guilt, that HE might see offspring and have long life, and that by HIS hand the LORD'S purpose might prosper." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 6, 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Who bruised the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL?  WHO put HIM to grief, and made HIS soul an offering for sin?  The MAJESTIC LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!   MESSIAH YESHUA HIMSELF foretold that, out of HIS great love,  GOD would put HIM to death, "YOU (GOD THE FATHER) commit ME (GOD THE SON) to the dust of death." [Psalms (Tehillym) 22. 15 Tanakh, Kethuvim]   The LORD GOD ETERNAL could have prevented that awful scene on Golgotha's Cross by sending legions of angels in defense of JESUS, HIS "ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON."   HE could have, but as it is written, "HE WHO did not spare HIS OWN SON, but delivered HIM up for us all." [Romans 8. 32]   "When HE (Y’SHUA) came into the world, HE said — Sacrifice and offering YOU did not desire, but a body YOU have prepared for ME. — Y’SHUA continued — "Behold, I have come to do YOUR will, O GOD. — HE takes away the first that HE may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of JESUS CHRIST once for all." [Hebrews 10. 5, 9 - 10]

At JESUS' trial, Pilate told HIM that he had the power to release or crucify HIM.  Y’SHUA answered, "You could have no power at all against ME unless it had been given you from above." [John 19. 11]   "For GOD so loved the world that HE GAVE HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, that whoever (Jew or Gentile) believes in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life!" [John 3. 16]

The crucifixion is not a "historical misunderstanding" nor is it a "tragic event which ended in defeat."  The Cross of Golgotha is a FULFILLMENT of a DIVINE Decree made before the foundation of the world!  The death of the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH is prophesied and we see the manner of that death portrayed in type and symbol throughout the OLD COVENANT; the furniture of the Wilderness Tabernacles was designed by the LOVING CREATOR, then directed by the ALMIGHTY ONE, the LION OF JUDAH, to be placed in the formation of a Cross!

When the Israelites were commanded to take up the Tabernacle to travel to another place which the LORD would show them, they were to march with the furniture in a Cross formation.  When the people of Israel observed that first Passover in Egypt, they were to kill an innocent, blameless, spotless lamb, then take the blood and strike it on the two side posts and the lintel of their houses.  Taking the blood from the basin and striking it on the lintel, the upper part of the doorframe and on the two side posts again fashions the "Cross!" [Exodus/Shemot 12. 22]

The Breast of the Wave Offering which is waved (side-to-side motion), and the Thigh of the Heave Offering which is raised and lowered (up-and-down motion) . . . "their gift to the LORD, their sacrifice offerings of peace" [Exodus/Shemot 29. 27-28], also form the semblance of a Cross.  Thus the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA, through HIS death on a Cross became the PEACE OFFERING reconciling us back to our RIGHTEOUS & HOLY GOD.
"O how I thank YOU, my BLESSED REDEEMER, my LORD and my GOD!"

. . . to be continued

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE. The LORD is my LIGHT and my SALVATION.
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE in man. The spirit of man is the light of the LORD.
Light is the symbol of the DIVINE Law. For the commandment is a Lamp and the Law is a Light.
Light is the symbol of Israel's mission. I, the LORD, have set you for a covenant of the people, for a light to the nations.
Therefore, in the spirit of our ancient tradition that hallows and unites Israel in all lands and all ages, let us go forth with the light of GOD'S WORD to the nations as HE commanded.
With much gratitude, we again salute the fallen heroes of our country, and our faith in ALMIGHTY GOD – the HOLY ONE of Israel.
Day 13 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Happy are those whose youth has not shamed their old age!

THOSE RESPONSIBLE — SATAN  (Part 1 of 4)
One of the parties responsible for the death of the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA is Satan.   We read of him in the very first promise of the coming MESSIAH, where ALMIGHTY GOD spoke to the Serpent and said, "And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and her SEED (JESUS, the ANOINTED ONE); HE shall crush your head, and you will bruise HIS heel." [Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 15 Tanakh, Torah]

The Old Serpent (Satan) would bruise the heel of the BLESSED REDEEMER, and according to the prophecy, this was done.  Literally and precisely, in no other death but crucifixion would the heel of an individual actually be bruised!  CHRIST JESUS' heel did crush the head of the Old Serpent (defeating him by HIS death, then raising victoriously from the grave); and MESSIAH'S "heel" — in crushing the Serpent's head, was "bruised" as it was DIVINELY foretold!

It is the Devil who seeks to prevent the plan of our OMNIPOTENT HOLY GOD and to confuse the minds of the people.  This Prince of Darkness is the evil one who entered into the heart of Judas, planted hatred and aroused jealousy in the Sadducees and Pharisees.  He not only stirred them up, but also promoted the lying scheme of the LORD JESUS' crucifixion.

Many claim that the persecution and the suffering visited upon the Jews today is because at the hour of crucifixion the people of Israel shouted:  "Let HIS blood be upon us and upon our children." [Matthew 27. 25]   This was a wicked prayer (if it could be called a prayer) spoken by unbelieving men.  The blood of Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH does not cry out for vengeance or retaliation!   IT WAS SHED FOR CLEANSING US FROM SIN, and the LORD Y’SHUA willingly laid down HIS life "that the world through HIM might be saved." [John 3. 17]   MESSIAH Y’SHUA, the ANOINTED LORD OF GLORY took no notice of the aforementioned request for it was said in ignorance.  Rather, HIS great compassion was expressed when HE cried — "FATHER forgive them, for THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO!" [Luke 23. 34]

Israel, as a nation, would have been doomed and no Jew could ever be saved had they known HE was the MESSIAH and had rejected HIM.   When thousands of Jews were saved on Shavuoth (Day of Pentecost), JESUS our GREAT HIGH PRIEST'S Prayer of Forgiveness from Golgotha's Cross was answered and continues to be answered whenever a Jew or Gentile accepts HIM as their MESSIAH, REDEEMER & LORD! [Acts 2. 1-42]   Great is HIS faithfulness.

. . . to be continued

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The Amidah (Judaism's most central prayer, recited 3 times daily) — "Sound the great Shofar to announce our freedom, raise the banner to gather our exiles, and gather us together from the four corners of the earth. Praised are YOU, LORD, WHO gathers the dispersed of HIS people, Israel.  And to Jerusalem, YOUR City, may YOU return in mercy.  May YOU dwell there as YOU have promised.  it now in our day and forever, and speedily reestablish the throne of David in her midst.  Praised are YOU, LORD, WHO builds Jerusalem. Amen!"
We are praying that your day be filled with the joy, love, and peace of our INVINCIBLE HOLY GOD.
Day 11 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Living a CHRIST-like life is favorable in the world-to-come, but threatening to this world…yet, worth it all!

DAWNING OF THE DAY
"As the day was dawning, the woman came back and fell at the door of the man's house where her master was, as it was growing light.  When her master arose in the morning, he opened the doors of the house and stepped out to continue on his way, he saw there was his concubine having fallen at the doorway of the house with her hands on the threshold." [Judges (Shofetim) 19. 26 - 27 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

This horrendously appalling story took place in Israel in a time when "everyone did what was right (just as they pleased/as was convenient) in his own eyes." [Judges (Shofetim) 21. 25 Tanakh, Nevi’im] The woman was a concubine to a Levite, was from the tribe of Judah and together they were dwelling among the tribe of Ephraim.  Although she had been unfaithful, he had taken her back and they were traveling to Ephraim, staying overnight in a city of Benjamin.  The "sons of Belial" [beliya’al means: evil, ungodly, wicked, without profit, destruction, worthlessness] among the Benjamites, however, had abused the woman throughout the night, leaving her dead "as the day was dawning."

This whole repulsive, abhorrent true-life account illustrates the depths of depravity to which even men among GOD’S chosen people can descend under the cover of darkness. Just as is being done today, only more so as being corrupt has become legalized and socially demanded.  However, the Apostle Paul warned us in two of his different writings commanding us to "have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are done by them in secret." [Ephesians 5. 11 - 12]  And, "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? And what accord has CHRIST with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? And what agreement has the Temple of GOD with idols?" [1 Corinthians 6. 14 - 16]

Yet, in the midst of the dismal record of the Levite and his concubine, there is an interesting insight which should be noted.  The evil event of the night terminated at "the dawning of the day." Interestingly enough, the Hebrew word used is "panah" which actually translates "turning" not dawning (Hebrew: boqer – crack of dawn, dawning, first light, break of day, morning) — therefore, this is not referring to the rising of the sun, but to the rotation of the earth which, after a dark night of evil, once again turns its face to the light of the world.

In the Book of Job there is another mention of the earth’s surface, "Since your days began, have you ever commanded the day to break, assigned the dawn to know its place, so that it might take hold of the corners of the earth, and shakes the wicked from her? She (the earth) takes shape like clay under a seal, till they [its hues] stand out like a garment." [Job (Iyowb) 38. 12 - 14 Tanakh, Torah]  Here again suggesting the earth’s axial rotation each day/night succession.

The GREAT & MIGHTY LORD OF HOSTS has an appointed time when all evil will be purged from the earth.  "But who can endure the Day of HIS coming? And who can stand when HE appears? For HE is like fire of one refining or like soap of launderers. HE will sit as one refining and purifying silver; HE will purify the sons of Levi, and refine them like the gold and like the silver. Then they will be an offering to YEHOWAH an offering in righteousness." [Malachi (Malakhi) 3. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Nevi’im] Then mankind "will no longer follow the stubbornness of their evil hearts." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 3. 17 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

There is coming a magnificent dawning, and that very soon, when we shall dwell in the GLORIOUS PRESENCE of the SOVEREIGN ONE and "there shall be no night there" [Revelation 21. 25] because Y’SHUA is the TRUE & ETERNAL LIGHT OF THE WORLD.  Come quickly, LORD, Come!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Simcha Shel Mitzvah — joy in doing good! The good performed out of a sense of requirement is not as meaningful as one performed out of desire and with enjoyment.
Oh that men were wise, that they would consider their latter end; that peace abundant would descend from heaven with life for us and to all Israel! Amen
Day 9 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In order to be a realist in Israel, you must believe in miracles. [David Ben-Gurion]

AUTHOR OF PEACE
"For GOD is not the AUTHOR of confusion but of peace." [1 Corinthians 14. 33]

"The wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy. The fruit of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace." [James 3. 17 - 18]   The whole world and our personal lives remain in confusion, turmoil, and strife; and the source is that Old Dragon, Satan, "the god of this world." [2 Corinthians 4. 4]

The only ONE WHO can bring true peace is the ONE WHO is the AUTHOR OF PEACE.  HE is "the GOD OF PEACE WHO brought up our LORD JESUS from the dead." [Hebrews 13. 20]   Moreover, HE is "the MIGHTY GOD, the EVERLASTING FATHER, the PRINCE OF PEACE." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]   Melchizedek ("my King is righteous") was the KING OF SALEM or KING OF PEACE [Hebrews 7. 2], and HE is "the LORD OF PEACE." [2 Thessalonians 3. 16]   Melchizedek was, at least a type of the incarnate MESSIAH, if not in fact the obvious pre-incarnate appearance of the LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH, the SON OF MAN.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST is all of these, the AUTHOR OF PEACE, the LORD OF PEACE, the PRINCE OF PEACE, the KING OF PEACE and the incredible GOD OF PEACE; and our only SOURCE OF PEACE!

Some day very soon, "HE shall speak peace to the nations; HIS dominion shall be from sea to sea, from the River to the ends of the earth." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 9. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]   In that day, we are reminded that, "the GOD of peace will crush Satan under your feet." [Romans 16. 20]   "In token of abundant authority and of peace without limit, upon David's throne and over HIS Kingdom, that it may be firmly establish in justice and in equity now and evermore from that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD OF HOSTS shall perform this." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  What a glorious day that will be!

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Welcome Shabbat! Let us welcome Shabbat as we greet a beautiful bride.
Sabbath of Shoftim – “Judges” [Reading: Deuteronomy 16:18 - 21:9; Isaiah 51:12 – 52:12; John 14:9-20]
May you find a rest of love freely given, a rest of truth and sincerity, a rest in peace and tranquility, in quiet and safety; a perfect rest in which you find favour.
Day 7 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Sometimes we give way to despair to free ourselves from the burden of hope.

DECEIVING PROPHETS
"Many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold." [Matthew 24. 11 - 12]

The two main Gifts of the SPIRIT were those of "apostle" and "prophet" — given in the apostolic era. The Church itself was  "built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, MESSIAH Y’SHUA HIMSELF being the CHIEF CORNERSTONE." [Ephesians 2. 20]  One of the commissions of these men was to receive and communicate GOD’S revelation to HIS people — first verbally, then written permanently as is recorded in the NEW COVENANT — "Which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the SPIRIT to HIS holy (dedicated to GOD) apostles and prophets." [Ephesians 3. 5]

Just as the LORD Y’SHUA warned "many false prophets have gone out into the world" [1 John 4. 1], and they have deceived many. One existing self-asserted seventh century “false prophet” from Arabia, received certain “revelations” from a “god of this world” that were vastly different from those of the LOVING CREATOR GOD of the BIBLE, and his followers now number over a billion and growing rapidly.

The HOLY WRITTEN WORD OF GOD zealously warns us that, "Even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed." [Galatians 1. 8 – 9]  Just as "there were also false prophets among the people, even as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the LORD who bought them, and bring on themselves swift destruction. And many will follow their destructive ways, because of whom the WAY OF TRUTH will be blasphemed. By covetousness they will exploit you with deceptive words; for a long time their judgment has not been idle, and their destruction does not slumber." [2 Peter 2. 1 – 3]

There are and have been many others, before and since, and still the SOVEREIGN LORD continues to warn us to guard ourselves and always to "beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits." [Matthew 7. 15 – 16]  The basic standard by which to test any so-called prophecy, ancient or modern, is whether or not it fully agrees with and conforms to the WRITTEN WORD OF TRUTH, the HOLY SCRIPTURES.  "To the Law and to the Testimony! If they do not speak according to this WORD, it is because there is no light in them." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 8. 20]

"Be diligent to present yourself approved to GOD, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD OF TRUTH" [2 Timothy 2. 15]; and be meticulously vigilant and faithful "fruit inspectors."

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Shabbat with the Havdallah Ceremony, we use all of our senses: We taste the wine, smell the spices, see the shadow of candles, hear prayers and songs, touch family and friends as we wish them “Tova Shavua — a Good Week.”  Our prayer is that GOD, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our sins, guide our life, and fill the coming days with HIS DIVINE PRESENCE.
May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be your daily fragrance.
Day 8 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Dressing modestly states that you are defined by who you are inside, not by what you look like on the outside.

TRANSFORMED
"JESUS answered and said to him (Nicodemus, a Pharisee-ruler of the Jews) — "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the Kingdom of GOD." [John 3. 3]

By nature, man is a lost sinner and must be spiritually reborn through faith in GOD and HIS promises for Salvation.  Therefore, the essential key of doctrine of regeneration (rebirth, restoration) has been relevantly applicable in all generations.  Both the OLD and the NEW COVENANT declare this truth.  As in King David’s prayer, "Create in me a clean heart, O ELOHIYM, fashion in me a  steadfast spirit.  Do not cast me out of YOUR PRESENCE, or take YOUR HOLY SPIRIT from me.  Let me again rejoice in YOUR salvation, and let YOUR generous SPIRIT sustain me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 51. 10 - 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The NEW COVENANT emphasizes this need even more unequivocally clear.  "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to HIS mercy HE saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the HOLY SPIRIT, WHOM HE poured out on us abundantly through JESUS CHRIST our SAVIOR, that having been justified by HIS grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life." [Titus 3. 5 - 7]  "Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the WORD OF GOD which lives and abides forever." [1 Peter 1. 23]

Only thru a spiritual birth (being born from ABOVE, born anew) can one be born eternally, by the LIVING WORD OF GOD.  The ALMIGHTY ONE, "according to HIS abundant mercy", the LORD "has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of MESSIAH Y’SHUA from the dead, to an inheritance incorruptible and undefiled and that does not fade away, reserved in heaven for you, who are kept by the Power of GOD through faith for salvation." [1 Peter 1. 3 - 6]

To be raised from spiritual death in sin to eternal life in Y’SHUA is a true miracle, just as the physical resurrection of MESSIAH HIMSELF.  "For it is GOD WHO commanded light to shine out of darkness, WHO has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the Glory of GOD in the face of JESUS CHRIST." [2 Corinthians 4. 6]

JESUS, the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, "WHO being the brightness of HIS glory and the express image of HIS PERSON, and upholding all things by the word of HIS power, when HE had by HIMSELF purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the MAJESTY ON HIGH." [Hebrews 1. 3]

Therefore, "if anyone is in CHRIST, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." [2 Corinthians 5. 17]  Like the creation of the world, with GOD all things are possible.  Believe!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
May we be witnesses of GOD'S care, love, and glorious presence through the days ahead. Enter each day with joy in our hearts and confidence that SOVEREIGN KING rules and reigns.  And, because of HIS great mercy, HE will continue to use us as HIS messengers of the GOOD NEWS to the perplexed and depraved world around us — our IMMANU’EL, the ANOINTED ONE OF GOD is with us!  My soul will continually bless the MOST HOLY LORD GOD for HE alone is worthy of all praise, reverence, rapturous adoration, and exaltation.
Day 6 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth/Teshuvah)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 4 Empty Re: Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY.

Post  Admin Thu 16 Aug 2018, 10:30 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Life is often heavy...only because we attempt to carry it.

MY REDEEMER, MY ROCK & MY SALVATION
"You were not redeemed with corruptible things, like silver or gold, from your aimless conduct received by tradition from your fathers, but with the precious blood of JESUS, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot." [1 Peter 1. 18 - 19]

The LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH was "without blemish and without spot" and is the SUSTAINER of the entire universe. [Colossians 1. 17-b]   HE died so we unfit sinners would have hope and life through HIM.  CHRIST'S love and eternal plan leaps out of the pages of HOLY SCRIPTURE reaching out to the blind, lame, and dumb.  HE, the COMPASSIONATE ONE cares for those who are marred, blemished and blotted with spots of sin on them.   GOD THE WORD, the ONE WHO stopped a funeral procession and raised the dead.   May we ever bow our hearts and praise such a LOVING SAVIOR!

MESSIAH Y’SHUA offered HIS "precious blood" to redeem unfit people like me.  HE took death upon HIMSELF so unworthy sinners might survive and experience eternal life with HIM.  Even death was unable to hold this HOLY ONE in its grip.  The PIERCED REDEEMER proved to be the LORD GOD ETERNAL even over death itself.  "The LORD lives! Blessed is my ROCK! Exalted be GOD, my SALVATION, my DELIVERER." [Psalms (Tehillym) 18. 46 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We who were unfit and unacceptable — warped and twisted with sin, yet now, washed spotlessly clean in HIS precious blood, follow the leading of our BLESSED REDEEMER by extending our hearts and hands to those who are dead in their sins.  We must share the "GOOD NEWS" that the MESSIAH, Y’SHUA OF NAZARETH, came into this world to buy us back to the HEAVENLY FATHER, which HE paid for with HIS shed blood.  The LORD JESUS said, "Come unto ME, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest (shalom, perfect peace).  Take MY yoke upon you and learn from ME, for I am gentle and lowly in heart and you will find rest for your souls.  For MY yoke is easy (yoke of service) and MY burden (yoke of obedience) is light." [Matthew 11. 28 - 30]

The wondrous LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA should no longer be the ROCK OF OFFENSE to either Jew or Gentile.  May you accept Y’SHUA (JESUS) as your LIVING MESSIAH, your SALVATION, your only REDEEMER.  HE is the ROCK OF ISRAEL and the world.  HE is waiting to receive you now.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
LORD our GOD, great, eternal, wonderful in glory, WHO keeps covenant and promises for those that love YOU with their whole heart.  YOU are the LIFE of all, the HELP of those that flee to YOU, the HOPE of those who cry to YOU.  Cleanse us from our sins, secret and open, and from every thought displeasing to YOUR goodness — cleanse our bodies and souls, our hearts and conscience, that with a pure heart, and a clear soul, with perfect love and calm hope, we may venture confidently and fearlessly to pray to YOU.  Amen
Day 5 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When we offer others a hand, we are lifted.

LOVE — FAITH — JOY
"WHOM having not seen you love. Though now you do not see HIM, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory; receiving the end of your faith — the salvation of your souls." [1 Peter 1. 8 - 9]

Peter had seen the LORD, so he was writing to those who had not.  And like those of MESSIAH'S time, we can have a personal relationship with the HOLY CREATOR, even though we cannot physically see HIM now.  "Blessed are they that have not seen and yet have believed." [John 20. 29]   Like them, we also have terrible trials and we are "tested by fire." [1 Peter 1. 7]   Our responses to Y’SHUA, while in the midst of trials, should bring us to praise, honor and glory in the revelation of MESSIAH our BELOVED SAVIOR.

LOVE HIM  Love makes trials bearable.  "We love HIM because HE first loved us." [1 John 4. 19]   "Greater love (Hebrew: racham — love deeply, tender affection; checed — mercy, compassion) has no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." [John 15. 13]   "Who shall separate us from the love of CHRIST?  Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril or sword?" [Romans 8. 35]   The LORD Y’SHUA, our FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATER, loves us too much to abandon us, and we should learn to love HIM in return.

BELIEVE HIM  "YOU safely guard him in perfect peace whose confidence is in YOU; whose trust (Hebrew: batach — believes) is in the LORD alone." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 26. 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im]  "Blessed is he who trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.  He shall be like a tree planted by waters, sending forth its roots by a stream; it does not sense the coming of heat, its leaves are ever fresh; it has no care in a year of drought, it does not cease to yield fruit." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 17. 7 - 8]   Beyond doubt, our faith is well founded.

REJOICE IN HIM "But rejoice (Hebrew: samach — merry, joyous, brighten) to the extent that you partake of CHRIST'S sufferings; that when HIS glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy." [1 Peter 4. 13]   The proper response to trials brings inexpressible joy.

The end of such faith in our WONDERFUL LORD is the complete and absolute supreme salvation of our souls with many triumphant victories of faith along the way. . . and a joy this world could never know.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
We lift up our hearts and our hands to YOU, GREAT GOD in Heaven for YOUR loving-kindness, O LORD, is mighty over us and we are ever thankfully indebted to YOU, MOST MERCIFUL KING.  We will examine our ways and test them, and return to YOU, O MOST HIGH.
Day 4 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Just as no steam or gas drives anything until it is confined — No life ever grows until it is focused, dedicated and disciplined.

PEACE IN TRIBULATION
"HE (ELOHIYM) may well slay me, I may have no hope, yet will I trust in HIM. Even so, I will argue my case before HIM. In this too, HE is my salvation — That no impious (sinful, wicked, immoral) man can come into HIS PRESENCE." [Job (Iyowb) 13. 15 - 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The HOLY ONE HIMSELF declared that the patriarch Job (Hebrew: Iyowb) was the most blameless and upright man in all the earth who fears ELOHIYM and shuns evil. [Job/Iyowb 1. 8]   Yet, Job was subjected to the most severe testing that anyone (except for MESSIAH Y’SHUA) ever had to endure.  Job lost all his great possessions and family the same day, then was afflicted for long span of time with a loathsome and painful plaguing disease. Even his friends (?) no longer honored him and even accused him of being a wicked sinner and an arrogant hypocrite.  Worst of all, the ALMIGHTY ONE Whom he had loved and faithfully served all his life had apparently completely ignored his prayers for deliverance, or at least for an understanding of why these sufferings were coming upon him.  Finally, a presumptuous young religionist falsely related what he claimed was a divine message, that even GOD accused Job of sin and hypocrisy.

Nevertheless, Job never lost his faith and integrity!  Job confirmed, "I know that my VINDICATOR (REDEEMER) lives; in the end HE will stand and testify on the earth — This after my skin is destroyed, this I know, that in my flesh, I myself, not another will behold GOD; I shall see HIM with my own eyes. How my heart yeans within me!  ...Though HE slay me, yet will I trust in HIM — HE too is my SALVATION." [Job (Iyowb) 19. 25-27; 13. 15a & 16a Tanakh, Kethuvim]

With Job's life as an example for us today, we can know that GOD ETERNAL is the ONE WHO created us and deserves absolute trust.  HIS PRECIOUS WORD, was given to us along with HIS endless love and great salvation through faith in GOD'S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, JESUS, the CHRIST OF CALVARY.  This is a segment of the promises we have set before us.  Whatever our plight, we know the MIGHTY ONE OF ISRAEL is in complete control.  "By day the LORD will command HIS loving-kindness and faithful care, so that at night a song to HIM may be with me, a prayer to the GOD of my life." [Psalms (Tehillym) 42. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim]  And with a song in the night, we will ever have gladness of heart. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 30. 29]

As we go through this world and the difficulties and persecutions — remember what our BLESSED REDEEMER taught us while HE was on earth: "But these things I have told you, that when the time comes, you may remember that I told you of them. And these things I did not say to you at the beginning, because I was with you. These things I have spoken to you, that in ME you may have peace. IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION; BUT BE OF GOOD CHEER, I have overcome the world." [John 16. 4, 33]  Assuredly, we truly can put all our hope and trust in our LOVING LORD YESHUA, the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
With great love YOU have loved us, O our GOD, and with exceeding compassion YOU have borne with us.  Our fathers believed and trusted in YOU; therefore you taught them the laws of life, and showed them the ways of wisdom.  We implore YOU, O MERCIFUL FATHER, to grant us discernment, that we may understand and fulfill all the TEACHINGS of YOUR WORD.  Make us gladly obedient to YOUR commandments and fill our hearts with love and reverence for YOU. In YOU we put our trust; we rejoice and delight in YOUR help, for with YOU alone is salvation, and peace in the soul of man.  YOU have called us as teachers of YOUR Law; YOU have chosen us for a holy mission to mankind; therefore do we joyfully lift up our voices and proclaim YOUR magnificence.  Praised are YOU, O GOD, WHO has chosen us in love.  We give praise to YOUR HOLY NAME and thank YOU for Y’SHUA, our BELOVED REDEEMER.
Day 3 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth)

Day 2 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth)

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
If you cannot explain it, you don’t fully understand it.

UNRELENTING PRAYER
"Pray without ceasing." [2 Thessalonians 5. 17]

This is not the shortest verse in HOLY SCRIPTURE, but it is the shortest commandment (charge, order, decree, instruction) — and perhaps the most difficult to obey.

The Apostle Paul professed to pray without ceasing...in his letter to the church in Rome it is recorded, "For GOD is my WITNESS, WHOM I serve with my spirit in the GOSPEL of HIS SON, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers." [Romans 1. 9]  He wrote to the Thessalonians — "We give thanks to GOD always for you all, making mention of you in our prayers, remembering without ceasing your work of faith, labor of love, and patience of hope in our LORD JESUS CHRIST in the sight of our GOD and FATHER." [1 Thessalonians 1. 2 - 3]  And in Paul’s last epistle, it is documented: "I thank GOD, WHOM I serve with a pure conscience, as my forefathers did, as without ceasing I remember you in my prayers night and day." [2 Timothy 1. 3]  Also, the OLD COVENANT records where the Prophet Samuel, praying for his people, Israel said: "As for me, far be it from me to sin against the LORD and refrain from praying for you; and I will continue to instruct you in the practice of what is good and right." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 12. 23 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

Obviously, these references do not mean that we should be uttering prayers continually, but rather to be continually in an attitude of prayer and never to stop the regular practice of praying — a continual communion with the MASTER WHO never leaves us.  This is parallel to what MESSIAH Y’SHUA taught, "that men always ought to pray and not lose heart." [Luke 18. 1]  HE followed this command with a allegory describing GOD’S "own elect who cry out day and night to HIM" [Luke 18. 7]; thus implying that our prayerful attitude and continual practice of specific prayer should be persistent and steadfast.  We should never become anxious, disillusioned, faint-hearted, frustrated, or discouraged (lose heart) if the answer isn’t what, or when we hope, but keep on praying until the answer comes.  When it is the right time, the answer will certainly come, and that speedily — "I tell you that HE [the SON OF MAN] will avenge them speedily" [Luke 18. 8]; and in the best way — "Now to HIM WHO is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us." [Ephesians 3. 20]

Persistent prayer focuses your attention. When you pray a prayer request over and over, it’s not to remind GOD. HE doesn’t need to be reminded! It’s to remind yourself WHO the SOURCE of your answer and all your needs is.  If every prayer you ever prayed was answered instantly, two things would be true: First, prayer would become a weapon of destruction in your life. And, you’d never think about GOD, because HE would become a Vending Machine.  If every time you prayed you instantly got results, all you’d think about is the blessing.  Our LORD wants you to think about HIM, the BLESSER.

To pray without ceasing means simply to be free to communicate quickly with the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL, day or night, always in an attitude of prayer.  "If you abide in ME, and MY WORDS abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.  By this MY FATHER is glorified, that you bear much fruit; so you will be MY disciples." [John 15. 7 - 8]

LORD, teach us to pray so zealously!.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
O GOD and FATHER, hear me as I pray with the Psalmist of old: So teach us to number our days rightly, that we may obtain a wise heart.  And, may the hallowed influences of this day give us strength to do YOUR perfect will, O GOD, with a steadfast, submissive and loving spirit and with a heart of wisdom. Amen.
DEAR BLESSED SAVIOR, I dare not start the day without first communing in prayer with YOU. Thanking YOU for this new day of promise to do some good deed for others. Strengthen me to lend a hand where needed; to teach others how to be brave and forgiving; forbid that I should ever judge another or hold a grudge or prove myself shallow or vain, or through some thoughtless act, cause pain or shame YOUR HOLY NAME.  Keep me humble, kind and sincere; drive from my heart all doubt and fear.  And, should joy or sorrow come, grant me wisdom, LORD, to see and understand that it is from YOUR hand and that YOUR great love abides still lest I forget to seek YOUR face.  Remind me often that I am weak, walk close beside me all the way.  This is my prayer, my petition today and forever.  So I thank YOU, LORD GOD for YOUR great mercies and for YOUR salvation and the hope we have in YOU alone.  Amen!

Delrifkah: HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. - Page 4 Jesusr10

SON OF MAN
"Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and on the cloud sat ONE like the SON OF MAN, having on HIS head a golden crown, and in HIS hand a sharp sickle." [Revelation 14. 14]

This is the last of some 87 NEW COVENANT references to MESSIAH as the SON OF MAN. Here we see the SON OF MAN coming in a white cloud from heaven, just as HE had ascended into heaven after HIS resurrection, as the conquering KING of all the earth.

This is quite a contrast to the first time the SON OF MAN is mentioned in Matthew, the first book of the NEW COVENANT. Here Y’SHUA is talking to a particular scribe and gave this reply to the question the man had asked of HIM, "Foxes have holes and birds of the air have nests, but the SON OF MAN has nowhere to lay HIS head." [Matthew 8. 20] Ranging from humility and poverty on earth to power and riches in heaven, and for all eternity — this was the ANOINTED ONE’S journey when HE left HIS heavenly glory to join the human family.

Between poverty and the power lay the whole human experience, for Y’SHUA, the GREAT & MIGHTY GOD, the REDEEMER of souls "was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin." [Hebrews 4. 15] "For HE (FATHER GOD) made HIM (Y’SHUA) who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of GOD in HIM." [2 Corinthians 5.. 21] Finally, as SON OF MAN, Y’SHUA must die for man’s sin, for "the SON OF MAN must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again." [Luke 24. 7] Even in heaven JESUS is still the SON OF MAN, precisely as Stephen gave witness of seeing HIM, "being full of the HOLY SPIRIT, he gazed into heaven and saw the glory of GOD, and JESUS standing at the right hand of GOD, and said— Look! I see the heavens opened and the SON OF MAN standing at the right hand of GOD!" [Acts 7. 55 - 56]

There is a REMARKABLY GREAT MAN in the heavens! JESUS called HIMSELF "the SON OF MAN " more often then HE presented HIMSELF as "the SON OF GOD" — though HE will be both throughout all eternity. HE delights to identify with those whom HE redeemed, for HE "is not ashamed to call them brethren, saying: "I will declare YOUR NAME to MY brethren; in the midst of the assembly I will sing praise to YOU." And again: "I will put MY trust in HIM." And again: "Here am I and the children whom GOD has given ME." [Hebrews 2. 11 - 12]

The LORD Y’SHUA asked, "Who do men say that I, the SON OF MAN, am?..."Who do you say that I am?" [Matthew 16. 13, 15] With Simon Peter, our reply is, "YOU are the CHRIST, the SON OF THE LIVING GOD." [Matthew 16. 16] HE is our FAITHFUL HIGH PRIEST, the MIGHTY KING.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
Who is like YOU, AWESOME CREATOR GOD? Who is like YOU, glorious in holiness, revered in worship, wondrous in works? Eternal is YOUR power, O LORD, YOU are mighty to save. In loving-kindness YOU sustain the living; in the multitude of YOUR mercies, YOU preserve all. YOU uphold the falling, heal the sick; bring freedom to the captives and keep faith with YOUR children in death as in life. Who is like YOU, ALMIGHTY MASTER, AUTHOR of life and death, SOURCE of salvation? Truly, there is none like YOU, O LORD my GOD!
Remember, every act of encouragement brings joy, not only to the recipient, but to the encourager as well. When we encourage others, we are encouraged by the very encouragement we freely give. How like GOD to lead us into giving so that we might receive so much more by following HIM!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing with God.

HEAVEN'S PURPOSE
"A season is set for everything, a time for every experience under the heaven. All human experiences are preordained by GOD, HE brings everything to pass precisely at its time...HE preoccupies man with the ATTEMPT to discover the times of future events. But without man ever guessing, from first to last, all the things that GOD brings to pass — Indeed, man cannot guess the events that occur under the sun. For man tries strenuously, but fails to guess them; and even if a sage should think to discover them he would not be able to guess them." [Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 3. 1, 11; 8.. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We are strangers before ALMIGHTY GOD, and sojourners; our days on earth vanish like shadows. The speedy flight of life and the gloom of the grave should not dismay us, but instead it should teach us wisdom. It should persuade us to put our trust in the SUPREME HOLY ONE OF HEAVEN, WHO will not suffer HIS children to see destruction. For only the dust returns to the dust; the spirit of man, which the RIGHTEOUS CREATOR has breathed into us, returns to HIM, its EVER-LIVING SOURCE. Whoever walks in the presence of HIS LIGHT, who holds fast to their testimony, and endures to the end will be given their reward. When Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH comes back, HE has declared, "I am coming quickly, and MY reward is with ME, to give to every one according to his work." [Revelation 22. 12]

O, that we might die the death of the righteous and our end be like theirs.. [Numbers/B'Midvar 23. 10] Suffer us not to pass away in our sins, LORD. [Numbers/B'Midvar 18. 22] "Teach us to count our days rightly, that we may obtain a wise heart." [Psalms (Tehillym) 90. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Bestow YOUR strength and understanding to all, small and great, young and old that we may ever do what is right and honorable in YOUR sight; and through unwavering faith be reconciled to YOU, O LORD GOD, our LOVING REDEEMER & RIGHTEOUS KING.

"For GOD has committed them (Jews & Gentiles) all to disobedience, that HE might have mercy on all (Jews & Gentiles who believe!). Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of GOD! How unsearchable are HIS judgments and HIS ways past finding out!" [Romans 11. 32 - 33]

The sum of the matter — "Fear and revere GOD and keep HIS commandments! For this applies to all mankind, it is their whole duty." [Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 12. 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim] May we be found faithfully doing our assigned task, revering the MOST HOLY ONE each day of our lives..

Sha’alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
The real corrupters of today’s society may be not so much the corrupt (that is obvious), but those who have held back the righteous leaven, the salt that has lost its savor, the innocent who have not even the moral courage to show what they think of the effrontery (audacity, nerve, rudeness, disrespect) of impurity — the serious, who yet timidly succumb (yield, give way to, submit, surrender) before some loud-voiced scoffer — the heart trembling all over with religious sensibilities that yet suffers itself through false shame to be beaten down into outward and practical acquiescence by some rude and worldly influence.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

GARDEN OF RENOWN
"I shall establish for them a GARDEN OF RENOWN (Y’SHUA, the ANOINTED ONE); they shall no more be consumed by famine in the land, nor bear again the shame and taunts of the Gentiles." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 34. 29 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Shem" is the Hebrew rendering for "renown (more frequently translated name which implies honor, fame, glory)." Shem was also the name of Noah's faithful son. It was from him (Shem), that the "PLANT OF RENOWN" came forth. "Blessed be the LORD, the GOD of Shem." [Genesis (Bereshith) 9. 26 Tanakh, Torah]

This "GARDEN OF RENOWN" is the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, and this promise is the climax of one of the great MESSIANIC prophecies of the OLD COVENANT assuring Israel that her MESSIAH would deliver them some day from their long exile and bondage. ALMIGHTY GOD'S servant David would again be their single shepherd to tend them; there would be "rains that bring blessings" and they would again be the people of the MIGHTY GOD OF JACOB. [Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 34. 23, 26, 30]

Nevertheless, the primary meaning centers, as it should, on this "PLANT OF THE NAME" — the MOST HIGH ONE WHOSE NAME would be implanted firmly and permanently in the very land HE had created. Israel, the place of HIS choosing. JESUS CHRIST THE LORD is the "TRUE VINE" [John 15. 1] WHO will provide the true nourishment for all HIS people forever.

The LORD Y’SHUA "has grown up, by HIS (YEHOWAH’S) favor, as a TENDER PLANT, like a TREE TRUNK out of arid ground." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] MESSIAH would appear first as a HUMBLE SPROUT out of a dead stump. "A ROD shall grow out of the stem of Jesse, and a BRANCH…out of his roots" for our iniquities. But then, HE shall "see HIS offspring, and prolong HIS days, that through HIM the LORD'S purpose might prosper" [Isaiah/Yeshayah) 11. 1; 53. 10] and become our GARDEN OF RENOWN forever. "HE shall be like a TREE planted beside streams of water, which yields its fruit in season; WHOSE foliage never withers or fades; and whatever HE produces thrives, and prospers forevermore." [Psalms (Tehillym) 1. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Without a doubt, Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH is the TREE OF LIFE, the TRUE VINE the STEADFAST PLANT, our CELEBRATED MAGNIFICENT GARDEN OF RENOWN, in fact, HE is EVERYTHING wonderful.

Sha’alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, may this be a day that will lead us to search the hidden recesses of our hearts and find treasures in GOD’S HOLY WORD, arousing us to examine all our thoughts and deeds in the light of HIS Truth, that we may know wherein we have strayed from HIS perfect way — then turn back to our CREATOR in sincerity and truth. And when we have learned our shortcomings and that the burden of our sins weighs us down, may we have the strength and courage to turn from the evil of our ways and to seek the SHELTER of our FATHER’S love and forgiveness — Amen!
Have a rich week serving others and growing in the grace of the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Those who forsake the Law of ALMIGHTY GOD praise the wicked.

WONDERFUL PEACE
"Peace I leave with you, MY peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." [John 14. 27]

The search for peace in this world is futile, false peace or a pretense of it is the best the world can offer. However, the peace of GOD and HIS CHRIST is not the peace of the world. "MY peace" — the LORD Y’SHUA said — "is not as the world gives." HIS peace is on the inside, not on the outside. Wars, disputes, contentions and conflicts come from your desires for pleasure that war in your members. [James 4. 1]

Only in MESSIAH Y’SHUA is there genuine, true and lasting peace! "These things I have spoken to you, that in ME you may have peace. IN THE WORLD YOU WILL HAVE TRIBULATION; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." [John 16. 33]

Only the LORD JESUS, the ROCK OF ISRAEL can give true peace, for only "HE is our peace." [James 4. 1] HE is exclusively the true "PEACE-MAKER" — the PROMISED CHILD, the SON WHO has the government upon HIS shoulder, WHOSE incredible name is the "PRINCE OF PEACE." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6] JESUS is the ONE WHO "made peace through the blood of HIS cross" to reconcile all things, whether on earth or in heaven, to HIMSELF. [Colossians 1. 20] Thus, before there can ever be genuine peace between man-and-man, there must first be peace between man-and-GOD.

Once a person has been "justified by faith" he has eternal "peace with GOD" through our LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH. [Romans 5. 1] Therefore, let us utilize the standard to "be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to GOD; and the peace of GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through the LORD JESUS CHRIST." [Philippians 4. 6 - 7] Therefore, we can rejoice greatly for the GOOD SHEPHERD, the LORD oF PeacE is at hand. May the GREAT GOD oF PEACE be with you always.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!
If you perceive something so important to be willing to sacrifice your own life for it, then your life has weight and purpose and direction; because until you know what you are willing to die for, you have not yet begun to live. Study that the LORD will reveal an abundance of peace and true favor to you in HIS PRECIOUS WORD! May you experience the care, love, and presence of God MOST HOLY this day and always.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Depravity results in permissiveness when righteousness is ignored...Permissiveness leads to rationalizing when holiness is ignored...Rationalizing encourages open rebellion when repentance is ignored. [Chuck Swindoll]

EVEN SO, PRAY
"As for me, far be it from me to sin against the LORD and refrain from praying for you; and I will continue to instruct you in the practice of what is good and right. Above all, you must revere YEHOWAH (the LORD) and serve HIM in truth with all your heart; consider how greatly HE has dealt with you." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 12. 23 - 24 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Samuel had served the children of Israel as their faithful judge for many years, and the LORD had blessed them and their land. Nevertheless, they insisted on having a king like the other nations and pressed Samuel to appointing one for them. Ultimately, Samuel anointed Saul to be their king, even though Samuel and the LORD HIMSELF were both extremely displeased with their demands.

Even so, Samuel’s great heart, both for the LORD and for HIS people, is revealed in the promise of his prayer. Although he was hurt and disappointed because he had led them successfully and justly his whole life, he would still pray for them and teach whoever would listen. This is a great standard for true CHRIST-like leaders and workers today who have been replaced by someone else, through no fault of their own. Continue in love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.

Intercessory prayer is not easy, especially if our prayers are not appreciated by those we pray for. Nonetheless, it is a type of prayer ministry that especially pleases the LORD GOD, and that is more important than human gratitude. No doubt Paul was reflecting GOD’S OWN desire when he said — "I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of GOD our SAVIOR, WHO desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth." [1 Timothy 2. 2 - 4] Paul even urged prayer for Nero, the wicked emperor who had imprisoned him and would ultimately have him put to death.

Our LORD Y’SHUA even instructed, "love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you." [Matthew 5. 44] And, HE is our GREATEST INTERCESSOR of all. For when we sin, and all have sinned against HIM, yet JESUS CHRIST THE RIGHTEOUS ONE "is our ADVOCATE with the FATHER." [1 John 2. 1] In fact — "HE lives to make intercession" for us. [Hebrews 7. 25] Since the FAITHFUL HIGH PRIEST is our GREAT EXAMPLE and HE seeks out men after HIS OWN heart, let us imitate HIM by specializing at being prayer-intercessors also.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Those who say — “It cannot be done!” — should not interrupt those who are doing it.

YET I WILL TRUST HIM
"Though HE slay me, yet will I trust HIM; even so, I will argue my case before HIM. HE too shall be my salvation; for no impious man can come into HIS presence." [Job (Iyob) 13. 15 - 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
According to CREATOR GOD'S OWN testimony, the patriarch Job was the "most perfect (Hebrew: tam), blameless and upright man — there is no one like him on earth." [Job (Iyob) 1. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Yet, he was subjected to the most severe testing anyone (excluding MESSIAH Y’SHUA HIMSELF) ever had to endure. Job lost all his great possessions and his family in a single day (except his wife. . . whom the MISHNA calls "his rib of stumbling"), then was afflicted for months on end with a most loathsome and painful disease. He lost the respect of all who had once honored and followed him and was even accused by his closest friends of being a "wicked sinner" and "arrogant hypocrite."

Worst of all, EL SHADDAI, WHOM Job had loved and faithfully served all his life had apparently completely ignored his prayers for deliverance, or even for understanding of what was happening to him. Finally, a presumptuous young religionist related what he (falsely) claimed was a "divine message" that even the HEAVENLY MASTER had accused Job of sin and hypocrisy.

Little did Job know, that the OMNIPOTENT ALMIGHTY ONE was bragging to ha-Satan (the Adversary) about HIS faithful servant: "Have you noticed MY servant Job? There is no one like him on earth, a blameless (tam/perfect) and upright man who fears ELOHIYM and shuns evil!" [Job (Iyob) 1. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim] It was the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN HIMSELF WHO was allowing the Adversary to afflict Job as a test. The LOVING MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE is definitely wise and the Lake of Fire is where the Adversary, the Devil belongs — because He proved to Satan that Job would remain faithful. GOD, the CREATOR of all things, LORD OF HEAVEN & EARTH, wanted to prove to Satan — the Adversary — that man, without ever seeing HIM, would be more faithful then Satan, who had seen GOD the ALMIGHTY. Thus, showing that the adversary did not remain faithful to the MOST HIGH, but Job would and did!

Despite all the afflictions brought by Satan, Job never once lost his faith! Job kept his integrity and declared: "Though HE slay me, yet will I trust in HIM" — Job tenaciously resolved. . ."for I know that my VINDICATOR, the REDEEMER lives" and "HE also shall be my SALVATION." [Job (Iyob) 19. 25 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

What an example has been provided us by this ancient patriarch, whose knowledge of GOD'S WORD, GOD'S love, and GOD'S great salvation through faith in the LORD MessiaH YesHUA was only a small fraction of what we know now with GOD'S complete revelation before us. The Apostle James well reminds us to "take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the LORD, as an example of suffering and patience. Indeed we count them blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen the end intended by the LORD — that the LORD is very compassionate and merciful." [James 5. 10 - 11]

We should, like Job, know the CHERISHED SOVEREIGN ONE WHO created us deserves our utmost and complete trust and admiration. Could the Merciful HOLY CREATOR brag about you?

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The sting of death is removed by the power of faith.

BURIED WITH HIM
"Therefore we were buried with HIM through baptism into death, that just as MESSIAH Y’SHUA was raised up from the dead by the glory of the FATHER, even so we also should (shall) walk in newness of life." [Romans 6. 4]

The burial of the CRUCIFIED MESSIAH, after HIS death, was extremely important for two reasons.  First, it assures us that JESUS' death was a physical death and that HIS resurrection was a bodily resurrection.  Secondly, like MESSIAH'S death and resurrection — HIS burial has intense doctrinal and practical significance for the believer's individual life.  All this is pictured by the ordinance of baptism, displaying symbolically the death of the LORD JESUS for sin and the death of the believer to sin, then the burial of the corruptible body of flesh (which, for all but CHRIST, returns to dust in accordance with GOD'S curse).  And finally, the resurrection, demonstrating the RISEN ONE'S eternal victory over sin and death; and, in the case of the believer, the beginning of a new life in the LORD Y’SHUA.

The same truth appears again, "Buried with HIM (Y’SHUA) in baptism, in which you also were raised with HIM through faith in the working of GOD (the FATHER), WHO has raised HIM (Y’SHUA, GOD’S ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON) from the dead." [Colossians 2. 12]  The spiritual truths of the LORD Jesus' burial saturates the SCRIPTURES.  If our old bodies of sin are, at least positionally, already in the grave, then it is altogether repulsive for them still to be walking around in sin.  "For if we have been united together in the likeness of HIS death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of HIS resurrection." [Roman 6. 5]  "GOD both raised up the LORD and will also raise us up by HIS power." [1 Corinthians 6. 14]  We shall walk in newness of life triumphant daily over sin through the deep-rooted, unshakable resurrection life of our AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL REDEEMER, LORD & SAVIOR.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of JerUSAlem and all of Israel!
Redeem Israel, O ELOHIYM, out of all their troubles!

As we bid farewell to Shabbas, our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you abundantly and guard you, our dear ones in the coming week.
Eternal is YOUR power, O my LORD, YOU are mighty to save.  In lovingkindness YOU sustain the living; in the multitude of YOUR mercies YOU preserve all.  YOU uphold the falling and heal the sick, free the captive, and keep faith with YOUR children in death as in life.  Who is like YOU, ALMIGHTY GOD, AUTHOR of life and death, SOURCE of salvation?  Truly there is none!  So we praise YOU, O LORD, WHO has implanted within us eternal life and give YOU praise, honor, glory and our heart-felt thanks for YOUR exemplified love and kindness. Amen!
"Tov Shavua (Have a good week)!"

Day 1 of Repentance (Yom ha’Peduth — The days between Rosh ha’Shanah and Yom Kippur reflect the 7-year period of Jacob’s Trouble.  Greet each other “May you be sealed until the Day of Redemption.” Yom Kippur is the last division of the time of Teshuvah. . . it shows the 2nd coming of Messiah.)
Also welcoming the Month of Elul:  Elul — the month preceding Rosh Hashanah — begins a period of intensive introspection, of clarifying life's goals, and of coming closer to GOD. It is a time for realizing purpose in life — rather than perfunctorily going through the motions of living by amassing money and seeking gratification. It is a time when we step back and look at ourselves critically and honestly, as Jews have from time immemorial, with the intention of improving.
The four Hebrew letters of the word Elul (aleph-lamed-vav-lamed) are the first letters of the four words Ani l'dodi v'dodi lee — "I am my BELOVED’S and my BELOVED is mine." [Song of Songs 6] These words sum up the relationship between GOD and HIS people.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes.  Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace which is the fruit of Righteousness.
