KNOWING GOD'S WILL
"Trust in the LORD with all your heart, and do not rely on your own
understanding. In all your ways acknowledge HIM, and HE will make your
paths smooth." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The key to knowing the will of ALMIGHTY GOD is the willingness and
determination to follow it, before knowing it. "If any man will do HIS
will, he shall know concerning the doctrine." [John 7. 17] The best
indicator as to whether one is really willing to follow the HOLY ONE'S
command is whether or not he is now pursuing and abiding in the revealed
WRITTEN WORD. This requires knowing and believing what it says, then
deliberately obeying all that the LORD GOD commands.

"YOUR WORD is a lamp to my feet, a light for my path." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 119. 105 Tanakh, Kethuvim] If one indeed is following the
revealed will of CREATOR GOD, we can "ask anything according to HIS
will, HE hears us. And if we know that HE hears us, whatever we ask, we
know that we have the petitions that we have asked of HIM." [1 John 5.
14 - 15]

"If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of GOD, WHO gives to all
liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him
ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the
sea driven and tossed by the wind." [James 1. 5 - 6] "For the LORD
grants wisdom; knowledge and discernment are by HIS decree." [Proverbs
(Mishle) 2. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The GREAT & MIGHTY ONE OF ISRAEL desires the ultimate best for each of
us. In view of this fact, "men always ought to pray, and not lose
heart." [Luke 18. 1] "For we do not know what we should pray for as we
ought; but the SPIRIT...makes intercession for the saints according to
the will of GOD. And we know that all things work together for good to
those that love GOD." [Romans 8. 26 - 28] The MASTER DESIGNER is
faithful and unwavering, HE desires that we know HIM as LORD, and HE is
faithful to direct our paths.

JESUS...Greetings in HIS INIMITABLE NAME! "When the time had fully
come, GOD sent HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, born of a woman, born under the
Law, to redeem those who were under the Law, that we might receive the
adoption as sons." [Galatians 4:4-5] The SAVIOR, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL
came . . . blessed be HE!
May this day lead us to search the hidden recesses of our hearts. May
it arouse us to examine all our thoughts and deeds in the light of YOUR
truth, that we may know wherein we have strayed from YOUR way. And when
we have learned our shortcomings and the burden of our sins weights us
down, grant us the strength and courage to turn from the evil of our
ways and to seek the SHELTER of YOUR FATHERLY love. Amen!

INCARNATE WORD
"For what the Law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, GOD did by sending HIS OWN SON in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: HE condemned sin in the flesh." [Romans 8. 3]

The great truth of CHIRSTmas (CHRIST sent — is the original meaning) is that ALMIGHTY CREATOR GOD was "manifest in the flesh." [1 Timothy 3. 16] The ETERNAL WORD "became flesh and dwelt among us." [John 1. 14] So imperative is this reality that "every spirit that does not confess that JESUS CHRIST has come in the flesh is not of GOD. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world." [1 John 4. 3] Therefore, "these are written that you may believe that JESUS is the CHRIST, the SON OF GOD, and that believing you may have life in HIS NAME." [John 20. 31]

YESHUA, the ANOINTED ONE is the GOD/MAN — INFINITE GOD and PERFECT MAN, jointed perfectly in full union, and salvation is based on this TRUTH. If YESHUA ha'MASHIACH were not PERFECT MAN, HE could not die for the sins of man; if HE were not GOD, HE could not defeat death and save us from the penalty of sin.

Furthermore, the SINLESS SAVIOR could not be born in sinful flesh, of course, like all the descendants of Adam, but only in the likeness of sinful flesh. From the moment of conception HE must be "holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners." [Hebrews 7. 26], and thus be conceived miraculously in a virgin's womb.

In fact, that miraculous creation of HIS body in the womb of Miryam (Mary) was the actual moment when GOD became MAN. YESHUA was born the only perfect LAMB OF GOD that can take away our sins, covering them with HIS perfect blood of atonement. This LAMB, the INFANT JESUS, is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD, so we celebrate that HIS birth. "In the beginning was the WORD, and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD was GOD. HE was in the beginning with GOD. All things were made through HIM, and without HIM nothing was made that was made. In HIM was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it." [John 1. 1]

Oh that the whole world would truly honor the glorious reason for the coming of the KING of all ages. For indeed, HE came to seek and save those that are lost.

So this CHRISTmas, offer yourselves to HIM in worship and adoration of HIM WHO came and gave HIMSELF for us. Such a magnificent fact and wonder of wonders. . . HE came!

HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Fruit does not exist for the benefit of the tree, but to nourish others.
Israel's mission is to teach the nations of the world that GOD is
THE SOURCE of all blessings. [Samson Raphael Hirsch]

FRUITLESS FUTILITY
"Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, HE (YESHUA) was
hungry. And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, HE went to see if
perhaps HE would find something on it. When HE came to it, HE found
nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response
JESUS said to it — Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." [Mark
11. 12 - 14] "And immediately the fig tree withered away." [Matthew 21.
19]

Being hungry and knowing quite well that the fig tree produces fruit at
the same time it bears leaves, YESHUA was looking for fruit to satisfy
HIS hunger. Finding the tree replete with leaves, but not bearing
fruit, HE cursed it for it showed signs of maturity but there was
nothing to harvest.

Thus, MESSIAH used the barren fig tree to teach his disciples something
they desperately needed to know, for they heard THE MASTER curse the
fruitless tree.

The LORD had just come from HIS triumphant entry into the City having
been proclaimed as KING by the multitude [Mark 11. 7 - 11], knowing
their shallow adoration would soon turn into cries for HIS death.
Leaving the fig tree, YESHUA drove the money changers from the Temple
again, just as HE had done in the earlier part of HIS ministry. [John 2.
14 - 15] MESSIAH YESHUA knew the money changers were not only
exploiting all the Jews who entered the Temple, but had taken over the
court of the Gentiles, using it as a place of business, denying the
possibility of true worship to all, both Jews and Gentiles.

The fig tree was the living parable, an object lesson on barrenness,
typifying the Jewish nation's condition in spite of their privileged
heritage. This type of hypocritical fruitlessness receives greater
condemnation [Mark 11. 20 - 21], exhibits a lack of faith [Mark 11. 22 -
23], and hinders our prayers. [Mark 11. 24 - 26]

The zeal of YESHUA used the lesson of the fig tree to teach— "Do you
consider this House, which bears by MY NAME, to be a den of thieves in
your eyes?" [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 7. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "MY House
shall be called a HOUSE OF PRAYER for all nations." [Mark 11. 17] May
our desire be to bear much fruit in our worship, our faith, our conduct,
our prayers, and in all our lives.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
O come! O come EMMANU'EL!

WORSHIP HIM
"When HE again brings the FIRSTBORN into the world, HE says— Let all
the angels of GOD worship HIM." [Hebrews 1. 6]

JESUS the CHRIST is "the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, which is in the bosom of the
father" [John 1. 8], but the day finally came when HE had to enter
humankind, and the ETERNAL WORD "was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and
we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the ONLY BEGOTTEN of the FATHER
full of grace and truth." [John 1. 14] Fulfilling the OLD COVENANT
prophesy— "The PRESENCE (Glory, Hebrew: Kabod) of the LORD shall be
revealed, and all flesh, as one, shall behold— for the mouth of the
LORD has spoken." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 40. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im] By
eternal generation, by the incarnation, by the virgin birth, and by the
resurrection, HE is in every significance GOD'S FIRST BEGOTTEN —
ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON.

So, when YESHUA first entered the world, born of a virgin (Hebrew: alma:
engaged virgin), HIS HEAVENLY FATHER called on all the innumerable
angles in the heavenly host to bow down and worship HIM. There are
several other MESSIANIC prophecies as applied to YESHUA ha'MASHIACH.
"Rejoice, O Nations, with HIS people! For HE will avenge the blood of
HIS servants, wreak vengeance to HIS adversaries; and HE will provide
atonement for HIS Land and HIS people, and wipe away HIS people's
tears." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 32. 43 Tanakh, Torah] "Bless the LORD, O
HIS angels, who excel in strength, who do HIS WORD, ever obedient to the
voice of HIS WORD. Bless the LORD, all HIS hosts, HIS servants who do
HIS will and HIS pleasure. Bless the LORD, all HIS works, through the
length and breadth of HIS dominion; bless the LORD, O my soul." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 103. 20 - 22 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

However, it is a specific decree of GOD, proclaimed throughout the
universe at the time of the human birth of HIS SON, and recorded in the
Hebrew Text. All the angels of the infinite cosmos bowed in solemn
worship, but a special contingent was commissioned to watch directly
over the birth, and proclaim the GOOD NEWS to those nearby, "And
suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host
praising GOD and saying— "Glory to GOD in the highest, and on earth
peace, goodwill toward men!" [Luke 2. 13 - 14] The angles saw and
worshipped, the shepherds heard and made it widely known. And "and all
those who heard it marveled at those things which were told them by the
shepherds." [Luke 2. 18] May each of us do likewise— glorify and
praise the GREAT LOVING LORD GOD for all the things we have heard, and
seen, and experienced. ..and bow down and worship the MAGNIFICENT KING OF
THE UNIVERSE.

faithfulness and truth is for all generations. Keep us ever grateful and

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Learn a lot from teachers, even more from your colleagues . . .and the
most from your pupils.

THE GUIDING EYE
"Let ME instruct you and teach you which way to go; let ME offer
counsel; I will guide you with MY eye." [Psalms (Tehillym) 32. 8 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

The title, "Maskil (Hebrew, meaning instruction) " is the heading for
Psalm 32 showing the blessedness of forgiveness. This Psalm contains
David's personal testimony of intense soul-searing conviction following
his awful sin with Bathsheba, with whom he committed adultery; and
Uriah, her husband, whom David had murdered in battle so he could have
Bathsheba as his wife.

David said that his "limbs had wasted away" and that ALMIGHTY GOD'S
"hand lay heavy on me" [vs. 3 - 4] until finally "I acknowledged my sin
to YOU and did not cover up my guilt" and "YOU, LORD forgave the guilt
of my sin." [v. 5] Once a sinner has confessed in true repentance,
there is real forgiveness and cleansing, and the happiness of salvation
is restored. Now they are born-anew and now they are saints.
Therefore, David could begin his Psalm with "Blessed is he whose
transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered over!" [Psalms
(Tehillym) 32. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The word "blessed (Hebrew: 'esher)"
means happy and the only way to relieve guilt and depression is by
confession of sin, genuine repentance, and then by restitution to anyone
injured by the sin, if possible, and committing to live wholly for
CREATOR GOD.

Truly, this is sensible and reasonable instruction! The MOST HIGH GOD,
the HEAVENLY FATHER, desires HIS children not to be "as the senseless
horse or mule whose movement must be curbed by bit and bridle forcibly"
[v. 9]; but to be so in tune with GOD'S HOLY WRITTEN WORD and HIS will
that HE can guide them gently and quietly, like a parent who teaches
(directs) an obedient and loving child merely by the look in their eye.
"Thus says the LORD, your REDEEMER, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL — I the
LORD am your GOD, instructing you for your own benefit, WHO leads you by
the way you should go." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 48. 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"Truly the eye of the LORD is on those who fear HIM and hope in HIS
unfailing mercy and wait for HIS faithful care to deliver their soul
from death, to sustain them from famine." [Psalms (Tehillym) 33. 18
– 19 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The happy (blessed) life is the one of
obedience to the guiding eye of the LORD & MASTER ARCHITECT.

day the LORD has made, we will rejoice and we will be glad in it!

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A thousand candles light the earth announcing MESSIAH the SAVIOR'S
birth. A thousand universes sing, the coming of our LORD & KING!

YESHUA CAME DOWN
"No one has ascended to heaven but HE WHO came down from heaven, that
is, the SON OF MAN WHO is in heaven." [John 3. 13]

Even this secular, materialistic world so far, makes much of the CHRIST
CHILD at Christmas time; that BABE WHO was born in a stable and laid in
a manger. Yet very few ever recognize that HE had been eternally one
(Hebrew: echad) with the FATHER in heaven before HE chose to come down.
And, exceedingly less ever stop to learn the reason HE chose to come
down. The reasons are replete in HOLY SCRIPTURE as the PROMISED
ANOINTED ONE wanted us to know.

The NEW COVENANT gives the first reference to HIS coming, YESHUA HIMSELF
speaks the most significant detailed motivations for HIS coming: "Do not
think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to
destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and
earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the
law till all is fulfilled." [Matthew 5. 17 - 18] YESHUA, the SOVEREIGN
KING was totally committed to HIS FATHER'S will that is recorded in
the WRITTEN WORD. This was the first thing HE came to confirm and
fulfill.

"The SON OF MAN has come to seek and to save that which was lost." [Luke
19. 10] "I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to
repentance." [Luke 5. 32] "Do not think that I came to bring peace on
earth. I did not come to bring peace but a sword." [Matthew 10. 34]
"For I have come down from heaven, not to do MY OWN will, but the will
of HIM WHO sent ME. This is the will of the FATHER WHO sent ME, that of
all HE has given ME I should lose nothing, but should raise it up at the
last day. And this is the will of HIM WHO sent ME, that everyone who
sees the SON and believes in HIM may have everlasting life; and I will
raise him up at the last day." [John 6. 38 - 40]

"HE WHO descended is also the ONE WHO ascended far above all the
heavens, that HE might fill all things." [Ephesians 4. 10] "I have come
that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. I am
the GOOD SHEPHERD. The GOOD SHEPHERD gives HIS life for the sheep."
[John 10. 10 - 11]

MESSIAH then notably expressed the reason for HIS coming—for it was
in regards to HIS second coming: "Behold! I am coming quickly, and MY
reward is with ME, to give to every one according to his work. I am the
ALPHA and the OMEGA, the BEGINNING and the END, the FIRST and the LAST."
Blessed are those who do HIS commandments, that they may have the right
to the Tree of Life, and may enter through the gates into the City."
[Revelation 22. 13 - 14]

So when asked— "WHO has ascended into heaven and come down? WHO has
gathered up the wind in the hollow of HIS hand? WHO has bound the waters
in HIS garment? WHO has established all the ends of the earth? What is
HIS NAME or HIS SON'S NAME, if you know it?" [Proverbs/Mishle 30. 4];
you can boast in giving them the answer — HE is the MAJESTIC &
INEXPLICABLE CREATOR, the BABE of Bethlehem, the GLORIOUS KING of the
whole world.

"HE WHO testifies to these things says— Surely I am coming quickly.
Amen. Even so, come, LORD JESUS! The grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST be
with you all." [Revelation 22. 20 - 21] Amen & Amen

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
By prayer one may achieve part of one's wish.

ASK IN MESSIAH'S NAME
"Whatever you ask in MY NAME, that I will do, that the FATHER may be
glorified in the SON." [John 14. 13] "If you abide in ME, and MY WORDS
abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for
you." [John 15. 7]

Such promises seem almost too extensive and unconditional to be
understood literally. Asking "in HIS NAME" does not mean just beginning
or ending a prayer with those words.

It is only through MESSIAH YESHUA, our MEDIATOR, that we dare enter the
presence of the OMNIPOTENT GOD at all. The LORD JESUS declared —
"No man comes to the FATHER but by ME." [John 14. 6] This being true,
it also implies that our prayer must be in agreement with what the
ALL-WISE MASTER HIMSELF would pray. No follower of MESSIAH should ask
for something he knows to be against GOD'S will. "Now this is the
confidence that we have in HIM, that if we ask anything according to HIS
will, HE hears us. And if we know that HE hears us, whatever we ask, we
know that we have the petitions that we have asked of HIM." [1 John 5.
14 - 15]

When we come to the HEAVENLY FATHER in JESUS' MIGHTY NAME, we are in a
very real sense, representing HIM. Therefore, we must come with clean
hands and motives worthy of THE ONE in WHOSE NAME we profess to come.
We must confess and repent of all our sins, or we couldn't even speak in
HIS NAME nor expect HIM to hear and answer our entreaty. As we
acknowledge HIS power and promise, we must come believing, not doubting
HIM, the LIVING, LIFE-GIVING WORD.

Then the LOVING FATHER is glorified as we exalt our GREAT GOD.
"Whatever you ask the FATHER in MY NAME HE will give you. Ask, and you
will receive, that your joy may be full." [John 16. 23 - 24] This
promise is given that GOD THE FATHER may be magnified gloriously in GOD
THE SON, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH.

We sing sweet praised to YOUR NAME, O LORD for YOU are a gracious and
merciful GOD and KING. We longingly wait for the day when all shall see
and be glad, when the just and upright exult, and the devout
triumphantly rejoice for iniquity shall shut it's mouth and all
wickedness shall be wholly consumed like smoke. For YOU will make the
dominion of arrogance to pass away from the earth and righteousness will
dwell evermore.
You are holy, and awesome is YOUR NAME, there is no god besides YOU.
YOU, LORD GOD OF HOSTS are exalted in judgment and sanctified in
righteousness. Blessed are YOU, MOST HOLY LORD, our KING.
Abundant blessing this special CHRISTmas Season!

SIGNATURE OF GOD
"In the beginning ELOHIYM created the heavens and the earth." [BOOK OF
CREATION — Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 1 Tanakh, Torah]

In the physical first creation, the TRIUNE GOD (ELOHIYM is a plural
word) stamped HIS signature of "three." In the universe HE created,
there are. . .
Three Times: Past — Present — Future
Three Views: Earth — Sea — Sky
Three Great Kingdoms: Animal — Vegetable — Mineral
Three Parts of Man: Spirit — Soul — Body
Three Forms Matter Can Assume: Solid — Liquid — Gas
Three Colors To One Ray of Light: Blue — Red — Yellow

The Tabernacle in the Wilderness [Exodus/Shemot 25 - 40] as a picture of
the New Creation, also has this numerical signature of the DIVINE RULER.
[Luke 24. 27 — again the signature. Three sections of SCRIPTURE in
the OLD COVENANT: Torah (Law), Nevi'im (The Prophets), Kethuvim {Psalms
& Writings}] Man was created in the image of GOD THE MASTER, the
AUTHOR & FINISHER, and is composed of spirit, soul, and body. Likewise,
this Holy Structure has three main parts: The Holy of Holies, the Holy
Place and the Outer Court.

The Holy of Holies represents GOD THE FATHER — GOD'S HOLY PRESENCE
and HIS Throne Room. The Holy Place, GOD THE SON, pictures Heaven and
Heaven's provisions. The Court, tells of GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT — it
shows earth and the judgment for sin. Each part in itself manifests the
GOD-HEAD.

These rooms, collectively and individually, describe the LORD JESUS.
They also tell of the believer in YESHUA ha'MASHIACH as well. . .
The Holiest represents the spirit, or GOD-conscious part of man. It is
the innermost shrine, the Holy of Holies of the SPIRIT where the Law of
GOD is deposited. [Ephesians 3. 16]

The Holy Place symbolizes the soul, man's self-consciousness. This is
the soul or mind, the "holy place" where the lamps are lighting up the
understanding, where the bread is for nourishment and the incense for
DIVINE fellowship.

The Court is significant of the body, that which is world-conscious in
man; the external side of his being, that which is seen and recognized
by all as the actual person and where it is cleansed, clothed and
consecrated for service. [2 Corinthians 5. 1, 4 — used
metaphorically of the body as the tabernacle of the soul. Peter speaks
about his body as "his tabernacle" in 2 Peter 1.13-14]

The believer is to be a true Tabernacle of Witness for GOD. We are to
be an "active testimony" in this world to the LORD YESHUA, if we are to
come into "THE PROMISE" which MESSIAH gave to all who would believe in
HIM: "You shall receive power when the HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you;
and you shall be witnesses to ME." [Acts 1. 8] And, "when the HELPER
(the HOLY SPIRIT, the COMFORTER) comes, WHOM I shall send to you from
the FATHER, the SPIRIT OF TRUTH WHO proceeds from the FATHER, HE will
testify of ME (JESUS, the BELOVED REDEEMER)." [John 15. 26]

ALMIGHTY GOD, CREATOR & MASTER DESIGNER of Heaven and Earth wants us to
see and know HIS "Triune Signature" in all HIS creation; for all these
things were given that you may know and believe.

As we bid farewell to Shabbat, may the ALMIGHTY ONE, WHO separates the
holy from the secular, forgive our sins, guide our life, and fill our

continue to experience some of the sweetness of Sabbath daily.
The 8th Light is the Light of Courage. Let truth and justice be your
armor and fear not, the ALMIGHTY ONE, blessed be HE, is with you.
As we celebrate the last night (evening-to- evening) of Chanukkah, we
come to the Miketz—(Hebrew for at the end) of the celebration, our
prayer for each of you is to be strong and of good courage; be bold as
you proclaim the GOOD NEWS of Salvation to all. The LORD bless and keep
you throughout the coming days! Go with GOD!

FEASTS OF THE LORD (Part 2 - Conclusion) —
The "Set FEASTS OF THE LORD" are found in Leviticus 23. This is "GOD'S
Calendar of Redeeming Grace." In these forty-four verses are seven
"FEASTS OF THE LORD" which set the chronological order of the HOLY ONE'S
complete plan of redemption.

Feast of Trumpets (Yom Tru'ah) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 23 - 25] The
trumpet is used in HOLY SCRIPTURE to symbolize GOD'S voice. Six months
have gone by since the Feast of Passover. Six is the number
representing man and his work. Man's "work days" are ended and the
kingdoms of this world shall become the Kingdom of our GOD and HIS
ANOINTED SON! Seven is the perfect number (GOD'S number) the Day of
Rest (Sabbath). The seventh month, when the Feast of Trumpets are to be
celebrated prophesies the "second coming" of the LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH.

Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 26 - 32] This was
the day when the High Priest sprinkled the "blood of the sacrifice" on
the Mercy Seat to receive forgiveness of their sins committed through
the year. He would also "confess over it all the iniquities and
transgressions of the Israelites, whatever their sins." [Leviticus
(Vayikra) 16. 21 Tanakh, Torah] YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, our great HIGH
PRIEST has entered "into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of
GOD for us, HE has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of
HIMSELF...CHRIST was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who
eagerly wait for HIM, HE will appear a second time, apart from sin, for
salvation." [Hebrews 9. 24 - 28]

Feast of Tabernacles (Succoth) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 34 - 44] This
Feast completes the history of redemption. The purpose of CREATOR GOD
was the gathering together of a people for HIMSELF that HE might dwell
in their midst. . . they can rest in HIS love, and HE can inhabit the
praises of HIS people. This was a joyful time when the Israelites dwelt
in booths after being delivered from Egypt's bondage and it prophecies
rest and glory when we believers will dwell with our BLESSED REDEEMER,
the LORD JESUS and go up year-after-year to Jerusalem to celebrate the
Feast of Tabernacles, serving HIM with gifts and sacrifices in joy and
gladness. [Zechariah/Zecharya h 14. 16 - 21] We will enter into GOD'S
perfect rest for one thousand years and continue in rest and glory
FOREVER!

The seven FEASTS OF THE LORD are combined spiritually and experientially
in "the Communion (the LORD'S Supper)" which the MESSIAH YESHUA
appointed for HIS disciples to observe. We remember (Present) HIS death
(Past) until HE comes (Future).

We celebrate the LORD'S Passover because we are redeemed through HIS
sacrifice and we walk in newness of life for MESSIAH is our UNLEAVENED
BREAD WHO became the FIRST-FRUITS of those who slept, and at Shavuoth
(Pentecost), HE filled us with the COMFORTER, HIS PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT.
We show the LORD JESUS' death until HE comes at Trumpets, when not only
our Atonement will be complete, but we will Tabernacle (Succoth) with
HIM for 1,000 years and Sabbath (Rest) in HIM throughout Eternity.

Welcome Sabbath – Queen of the week! Praised are YOU, YESHUA, LORD
OF THE SABBATH, we desire to exalt YOU as the ONE WHO gives true Sabbath
peace and rest.
The 7th Light is the Light of Justice. Thus said King David, "Trust in
the LORD and wait patiently for HIM!" Nothing can be achieved in haste.
The spreading tree and the soul of man grows slowly to perfection. May
the LORD GOD teach you patience that you may endure every trial HE
allows to make you strong.
Our GOD & KING, we humbly bow the knee before YOU and ask that YOU
sanctify us through YOUR commandments and let us share in the blessings
of YOUR Law. Satisfy us with YOUR goodness and gladden us with YOUR
salvation. Purify our hearts that we may serve YOU in sincerity and
truth. For YOU, O GOD, are truth and YOUR WORD endures forever. Praised
are YOU, O LORD, WHO forgives transgressions, RULER of the world, WHO
sanctifies those YOU have redeemed. Thank YOU for ruling in holiness,
the LORD OF HOSTS WHO is exalted through justice and sanctifies through
righteousness.

FEASTS OF THE LORD (Part 1 of 2)
The "Set FEASTS OF THE LORD" (Hebrew: "mo'ed") are found in Leviticus
23. This is the HOLY ONE'S "Calendar of Redeeming Grace." In these
forty-four verses are seven feasts (Hebrew: "chag or hag") of the LORD
which set the chronological order of GOD'S complete plan of redemption.

Sabbath [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 1 - 3] CREATOR GOD ceased from HIS work
of creation on the seventh (Sabbath) day and desired those whom HE had
created to gather together on that day to "feast" with HIM. YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH, the SABBATH OF THE MOST HIGH GOD, is the beginning and the
fulfillment of all the FEASTS OF THE LORD. HE alone could say, "Come to
ME, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest
(Sabbath). Take MY yoke upon you and learn from ME, for I am gentle and
lowly in heart, and you will find rest (Sabbath) for your souls."
[Matthew 11. 28 - 29]

Passover (Pesach) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 4 - 5] This was to be kept in
remembrance of Israel's great deliverance from death and Egyptian
bondage through the sacrifice of a spotless lamb. The death of the
Passover lamb was to be the starting point of all GOD'S purposes for
redemption and the foundation of all that is set forth in the rest of
the "FEASTS OF THE LORD." We see prophecy of the COMING ONE WHO, by the
offering of HIMSELF as the SUPREME SACRIFICE, would redeem all who would
believe on HIS NAME. Upon seeing MESSIAH YESHUA, John the Baptist
proclaimed, "Behold, the LAMB OF GOD that takes away the sin of the
world!" [John 1. 29]

Feast of Unleavened Bread (Chag Hamotzi) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 6 - 8] 
This Feast immediately follows Passover and is only to be observed by
those who had partaken of the Passover lamb and put away the leaven
(represents sin) — thus telling of the holy walk of the believer. 
The LORD JESUS became as the LEAVENED BREAD (HE was made sin on the
Cross) that those believing on HIM might partake of the UNLEAVENED BREAD
(the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD). "Indeed MESSIAH JESUS, our PASSOVER, was
sacrificed for us. Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old leaven,
nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened
bread of sincerity and truth." [1 Corinthians 5. 7 - 8]

Feast of First-Fruits (Yom Ha'bikkurim) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 10 - 14] 
Three days after the Passover lamb was slain, the Feast of First-Fruits
was to be celebrated. At this time the High Priest was to take a sheaf
of the first-fruits of their barley harvest into the Temple and wave it
violently before the LORD GOD OF HEAVEN. This looked forward to the
fulfillment when YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, our GREAT HIGH PRIEST (the TRUE
PASSOVER LAMB) raised from the dead! YESHUA, the GRAIN OF BARLEY that
had fallen to the earth to die, now shoots forth (violently shaken) and
is raised before the LORD GOD as the FIRST-FRUITS of those that sleep.
[1 Corinthians 15. 20] "I am the RESURRECTION and the LIFE; whoever
believes in ME, though he may die, he shall live" [John 11. 25 - 26]
— was the promise of the LORD JESUS at Lazarus' tomb.

Feast of Weeks (Shavu'oth/Pentecos t) [Leviticus/Vayikra 23. 15 - 22] 
The Israelites were to remember that seven weeks after leaving the land
of death, Moses was called up to Mount Sinai and given the pattern of
the Tabernacle, the order of the priesthood, the law and the offerings
which were to guide and establish the redeemed nation. Two loaves of
bread "baked with leaven" were to be waved before the LORD on that day. 
Here, ALMIGHTY GOD was teaching HIS people that divine redemption
through HIS ANOINTED ONE would be for "whosoever will." These two
leavened loaves typify Jew and Gentile, with sin in them both, being
brought together.

When the FIRST-FRUIT (YESHUA ha'MASHIACH) was raised from the dead, HE
appeared 40 days to HIS disciples, then ascended into heaven. Ten days
later "when the Day of Pentecost (50 Days) was fully come" GOD THE
FATHER poured out the GIFT OF THE HOLY SPIRIT and the Church, made up of
both Jew and Gentile believers, were empowered, the Law written on the
fleshly tablets of their heart, the tabernacles of clay now indwelt by
the SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD.

GOD THE SON (YESHUA) honored the FATHER at Passover by dying. GOD THE
FATHER honored the Feast of First-Fruits by raising MESSIAH YESHUA from
the dead. GOD
THE HOLY SPIRIT honors the Feast of Weeks by coming upon the disciples
as they waited in the upper room, and dwelling within them and each of
us who wholly follow the BELOVED MASTER.

APPLE OF THE EYE
"Display YOUR faithfulness in wondrous deeds, YOU WHO delivers with YOUR
right hand those who seek refuge from assailants. Guard me like the
apple of YOUR eye; hide me in the shadow of YOUR wings." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 17. 7 - 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The LORD GOD says, "I will
instruct you and show you which way to go; let ME offer counsel; I will
guide you with MY eye." [Psalms (Tehillym) 32. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The apple of the eye is the phrase used to speak of something as being
highly valuable to the owner. The Hebrew word 'iyshown means the little
man or pupil of the eye and 'ayin is the word for the eye meaning favor,
regard or thought. Therefore, to be kept as the Apple of the Eye would
be to say, "keep me as the center of YOUR favor, affection, choice, or
preference; and in YOUR care and constant consideration. "

The GOD MOST HIGH'S portion is HIS people, Jacob HIS OWN inheritance,
and Israel and Jerusalem as being the apple of HIS eye: "HE (ALMIGHTY
GOD) found him (Israel) in a desert land and in the wasteland, a howling
wilderness; HE encircled him, HE instructed him, HE kept him (Israel) as
the apple of HIS eye. Like an eagle rouses his nestlings, gliding down
to his young, so did HE (the HOLY ONE OF JACOB) spread HIS wings and
take him (Israel), bearing him along on HIS pinions; the LORD alone did
guide him, no alien god at HIS side." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 32. 10 - 12
Tanakh, Torah]

"Jerusalem shall be inhabited a city without walls, so many shall be the
men and cattle it contains. And I MYSELF — declares the LORD —
will be a WALL OF FIRE all around her, and I will be "THE GLORY" in her
midst. For thus said the LORD OF HOSTS — HE WHOSE PRESENCE sent ME
— concerning the nations that have taken you to spoil: "Whoever
touches you touches the APPLE of MY eye." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 2. 4-5,
8 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"Shout for joy, Fair Zion! For lo, I come; and I will dwell in your
midst — declares the LORD. In that day many nations shall be joined
to the LORD and become MY people, and I will dwell in your midst. Then
you will know that I was sent to you by the LORD OF HOSTS. The LORD will
allot Judah his portion in the Holy Land, and will choose Jerusalem once
more. Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD! For HE is roused from HIS
holy habitation!" [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 2. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

To be kept as the Apple of the Eye of the GREAT ETERNAL LORD GOD
requires our essential trust in HIM and HIS LIFE-GIVING WORD. We must
keep HIS WORD as the APPLE of our eye. "MY son, keep MY WORDS, and
treasure MY commands within you. Keep MY commands and live, and MY Law
as the APPLE of your eye." [Proverbs (Mishle) 7. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
How very sweet and nourishing are HIS righteous laws and precepts.

The 5th Candle of Chanukkah represents the Light of Holiness. Purity of
thought and nobility of action make all of life sacred. "Holy, Holy,
Holy is the LORD OF HOSTS- the whole earth is filled with HIS Glory!"
May the REDEEMER of all ages make you holy and may you grow in HIS
knowledge, wisdom and favor.
Quickened by YOUR spirit, MOST HOLY ONE WHO we honor and praise, may we
learn how to ennoble the things of earth by sanctifying them to YOUR
service. Amen

THE STORY OF CHANUKKAH (Part 4 - Conclusion)
The lights of Chanukkah was not an ancient celebration pointing to the
LORD MESSIAH YESHUA; they were added after HIS death to point back to
the ONE WHO alone is the LIGHT OF THE WORLD. HIS light lasts forever,
whereas the lights of Chanukkah only shine for a few days each year.

In John 10:22-23, the ANOINTED ONE, YESHUA was at the Temple where the
Feast of Dedication (Chanukkah) was being observed. The LORD JESUS had
said of HIMSELF, "I AM the LIGHT OF THE WORLD, he that follows ME shall
not walk in darkness, but shall have the LIGHT OF LIFE." [John 8. 12]
"As long as I AM in the world, I AM the LIGHT OF THE WORLD." [John 9. 5]
"Are there not 12 hours in the day? If any man walk in the day, he
stumbles not, because he sees the Light." [John 11. 9] "Yet a little
while is the LIGHT with you, walk while you have the LIGHT, lest
darkness come upon you." [John 12. 35]

The GLORY OF GOD shone out of the Temple — the GLORY OF GOD shone
out of the FLESHLY TEMPLE OF KING MESSIAH YESHUA WHO is the "NER TORMID"
the "EVERLASTING LIGHT." HIS light defeats darkness. So, even when we
go to the grave, we will experience an even greater light because we
will be with GOD. As it is written, "GOD is LIGHT, and in HIM is no
darkness at all." [1 John 1. 5] We should not worship before the
candles of the Chanukkah Menorah, but only before ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF,
the ONE WHO was the LIGHT, then performed the miracle of the lights.
"YAH is my LIGHT and my SALVATION" [Psalms/Tehillym 27. 1], and "I will
also make you (Israel) for a light, an agent of good fortune, to the
nations, that MY salvation may reach unto the ends of the earth."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 49. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Jewish Festival of Chanukkah is celebrated on the eve of Kislev 24.
The month of Kislev is the same as the month of December. The
significance that YESHUA ha'MASHIACH gave to Chanukkah, is perhaps the
reason the church chose December 25 for CHRISTmas Day. It is the Day to
testify of the fact that in the birth of CHRIST JESUS, DEITY was
dwelling in a HUMAN TEMPLE and shining out to give LIGHT in the midst of
darkness. The birth of our BLESSED REDEEMER, THE LIVING WORD, is the
dedication of the TRUE TEMPLE which is the body of JESUS. MESSIAH
YESHUA told us that we are the light of the world and the salt of the
earth; which is true as the HOLY SPIRIT reveals MESSIAH as the ALMIGHTY
LORD GOD through our lives.

Chanukkah tells us that, as believers, we are to be in the world, but
not part of it. We can live as more than conquerors. We can be
separated in holiness and dedication. We are to be lights to the world
as a testimony to our MIRACLE-WORKING HOLY GOD. Amen

The 4th Light is the Light of Mercy. Cruelty hardens the heart and
destroys friendship. "Do justice, and love mercy, and walk humbly after
your GOD." Truly, the LORD is exceptionally good, HIS mercy is eternal,
HIS faithfulness and truth is for all generations.
Happy Chanukkah Everyone! Walk boldly in the light and warmth of GOD'S
compelling love. And, may the HOLY ONE fill you with HIS perfect peace,
wonderful joy and indescribable happiness.

In MESSIAH YESHUA dwells the fullness of the GODHEAD BODILY.

THE STORY OF CHANUKKAH (Part 2 of 4)
Antiochus enacted a series of harsh decrees against the Jews. Jewish
worship was forbidden; the SCROLLS OF THE LAW were confiscated and
burned. Sabbath rest, circumcision and the dietary laws were prohibited
under penalty of death. Even one of the respected elders of that
generation, Rabbi Eliezer, a man of 90, was ordered by the servants of
Antiochus to eat pork so that others would do the same. When he refused
they suggested to him that he pick up the meat to his lips to appear to
be eating. But Rabbi Eliezer refused to do even that and was put to
death.

There were thousands of others who likewise sacrificed their lives. The
following is a famous story told of Hannah and her seven son's
courage which happened at that time. They were arrested and compelled
to eat swine's flesh and thereby assent to the pagan sacrifice. One
by one, when they refused to yield, they were tortured.

The first son had his extremities cut off, was scalped, had his tongue
cut out, and still refused to eat pig. Finally he was boiled alive.

The second son had the skin stripped from his head, and still refused to
eat pig. He exclaimed to Antiochus— "In-human fiend, you may
discharge us from this present life, but the KING OF THE WORLD will
raise us up, since it is for HIS Laws that we die, to live again
forever."

Then, third son held out his arms for dismemberment saying— "It was
the GOD OF HEAVEN that gave me these limbs; for the sake of HIS Laws I
disdain them; from HIM I hope to receive them again."

When the third son died, the fourth son was tortured. He cried—
"Ours is the better choice, to meet death at men's hands, yet relying on
ELOHIYM'S promise that we shall be raised up by HIM; whereas for you
there can be no resurrection, no new life."

As they tortured the fifth son, he said— "Do not think that our race
has been deserted by YEHOWAH. Only wait, and you shall see in your turn
how HIS mighty power will torment you and your race."

The sixth son died with the words— "We are suffering like this
through our own fault, having sinned against ELOHEY, but do not think
you yourself will go unpunished for attempting to make war on YEHOWAH."

Finally the seventh son died with the following words: "Our brothers
already, after enduring their brief pain, now drink of ever-flowing
life, by virtue of YEHOWAH'S covenant, while you, by the ALMIGHTY'S
judgment, will have to pay the just penalty for your arrogance. I too,
like my brothers, surrender my body and life for the Laws of my
ancestors, calling upon ELOHEY to show HIS kindness to our nation, and
that soon."

Ultimately, Hannah, their Mother was also put to death. All steadfastly
refused deliverance in hope of the resurrection.

THE MACCABEES: In a little village 15 miles NW of Jerusalem, a priest
named Mattathias and his five sons rebelled. Before his death,
Mattityahu called his sons together and urged them to continue to fight
in defense of GOD'S TORAH. He asked them to follow the counsel of
their brother Shimon-the-Wise. In waging warfare, he said, their leader
should be Yehuda-the-Strong. Yehuda was called "Maccabee (means:
hammer)" — a word composed of the initial letters of the four Hebrew
words "Mi Komocho bo'Eilim ha'Shem — Who is like unto YOU, O
GOD."

Under the leadership of the oldest son, Judah Maccabees, they launched a
guerrilla-style war against Antiochus Epiphanies and his army. Its
purpose was to force the Syrians out of Israel and restore worship to
YEHOWAH. Mattathias killed all the traitors and then killed the Syrian
commissioners. After a 3-year struggle, the Jews drove the Syrian army
out of the Promised Land. Their rallying cry from Matthias was "Let
everyone who has a fervor for the Law take his stand on the Covenant and
come out and follow me. Let us fight unto death in defense of our souls
and our Temple!" [1 Maccabeus 2. 27 – 28] In other words, "return
and obey the VOICE OF THE LORD your GOD, and do all HIS commandments.
For the LORD your GOD is a COMPASSIONATE GOD; HE will not fail you nor
will HE let you perish; HE will not forget the covenant which HE made on
oath with your fathers." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 4. 29 - 31 Tanakh,
Torah]

Exactly 3 years to the very date after the Temple was desecrated, the
24th of Kislev, the triumphant Jews made their entrance into the TEMPLE
OF GOD and re-dedicated it to the service of YEHOWAH ELOHEY.

In the LORD'S TEMPLE, the priests were to leave a light burning in
obedience to the command of GOD MOST HIGH, "Command the children of
Israel to bring you pure beaten olive oil for the light, to cause the
lamp to burn continually. In the Tabernacle of Meeting, outside the
veil, which is before the ARK OF THE COVENANT, Aaron and his sons shall
tend it from evening until morning before YEHOWAH. It shall be a decree
forever to their generations on behalf of the children of Israel
throughout the ages." [Exodus (Shemot) 27. 20 - 21 Tanakh, Torah] When
the Maccabees prepared to rekindle the Menorah to re-dedicate the Temple
of ELOHEY which had been spoiled by the enemy, they discovered only one
single jar of olive oil buried beneath the ruins with the seal of the
High Priest still intact on its lid. This was tragic because the Jewish
people could not carry out YEHOWAH'S command as there was only enough
oil to burn one day.

For olive oil to be dedicated for use in the Lamp, it was to be made by
the High Priest and sealed with his seal after being sanctified (set
apart) for 7-days; then on the 8th day it was "Holy to the LORD."
[Exodus/Shemot 29. 37; Leviticus/Vayikra 12. 3; Ezekiel/Yehezke- El 43.
26 – 27; 2 Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Bet 29. 17] According to the
Jewish tradition, "nes gadol haya shem (a Great Miracle happened there)"
...the small flask of oil lasted for a full eight days! {In Jerusalem,
they say: "Nes Gadol Haya Po — a Great Miracle happened here
(Jerusalem). "}

THE STORY OF CHANUKKAH (Part 3 of 4)
The 24th of Kislev was important to Israel years before the Maccabees
memorialized it with Chanukkah. It was the day that "The FOUNDATION was
laid for the LORD'S Temple." [Haggai/Chagai 2. 18 - 19] It was also a
day when victory was promised to the Children of Israel, the ETERNAL ONE
said — "Speak to Zerubbabel, the governor of Judah: I am going to
shake the heavens and the earth. And I will overturn the thrones of
kingdoms and destroy the strength of the kingdoms of the heathens. I
will overturn chariots and their drivers. Horses and their riders shall
fall, each by the sword of his brother — for I have chosen you and
will bring you close to ME, says the LORD OF HOSTS." [Haggai (Chagai) 2.
21 - 23 Tanakh, Nevi'im] {Special Note: Zerubbabel is the center of
the MESSIANIC Line and like a signet, seals both branches together. . .
Obedience: present blessing; Promise: future blessing.}

This Day now celebrated as Chanukkah was "A Day of Faith." It was in
the dead of winter, food was scarce [Haggai/Chagai 2. 16-17], it seemed
as if the ALMIGHTY had forsaken HIS people. Yet, the LORD said, "from
this Day, I will send you blessings." Haggai looked forward to the
harvest (Succoth — Feast of Ingathering/ Booths) which was nine
months away. [Haggai/Chagai 2. 19] Was Chanukkah the timing when the
people of GOD finally stirring themselves and put their hands to the
task of building GOD'S HOUSE; for GOD promises that henceforth the
crops would be sure.

The MIGHTY LORD GOD OF HEAVEN & EARTH delivered Israel to fulfill the
promise through Haggai, HE delivered Israel in the days of the
Maccabees, and HE is able to deliver Israel in this day. When things
look the worst, when you see these things, know that the LORD YESHUA is
near, even at the door. [Matthew 24. 33]

Josephus, the Jewish historian, was the first person to make lighting
one candle for each of the 8 Days. . . calling it the Feast of LIGHT.
The custom of lighting the candles originated sometime shortly after the
earthly life of MESSIAH YESHUA, and continues to this very day.

THE STORY OF CHANUKAH (Part 1 of 4)
Chanukkah means dedication. It is the Jewish Festival celebrating the
Maccabees' victory over the Syrian army in 165 BCE (Before Common
Era/BC—Before CHRIST).

The Feast of Dedication, Chanukah, celebrates two miracles: First, the
victory of a small greatly outnumbered army of Jews (the Maccabee) over
the strong and forceful Greek army. The Jews had taken their stand for
their faith, their GOD, and their way of life. . . and won! The
Maccabees drove the Greeks from the Promised Land, reclaimed the Holy
Temple in Jerusalem (which had been desecrated by the Seleucids) and
rededicated it to the service of YEHOWAH ELOHEY.

The second miracle was that of the Menorah and the light that burned for
eight days (which should have lasted only one day), allowing a ritually
pure oil to be made as prescribed by those assigned to do so. Having
the Menorah lit continually in the Temple was extremely important to
worship the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN as HE instructed.

Alexander the Great once conquered all the countries around the
Mediterranean Sea, creating a vast Greek Empire. At the age of 33, he
died broken-hearted, feeling that he had conquered all that was worth
conquering. Wherever the Greek army went, Greek culture, language and
religion were forced upon the population known as "Hellenism."

After Alexander died, the Greek Empire was divided among his generals:
Antigonus received Asia; Ptolemy, Egypt; Seleucus obtained Babylon;
Lysimachus acquired Hellespont; and Cassander took over Macedonia.
There were wars back and forth continually for years.

At the time of the Maccabees, Antiochus Epiphanies (means: the deified
god) ruled Syria and Ptolemy ruled Egypt. These two warred over the
Holy Land. Antiochus launched a military campaign against Egypt in
order to bring all of Israel under Syrian dominion. They imposed
Hellenistic culture and religion on all they conquered with a vengeance.
The Syrians were incredibly barbaric, even the Greek language was
imposed upon the people they conquered. It was forbidden to study
TORAH, observe Shabbat, use the Hebrew language or perform circumcision.
Circumcised baby boys were killed and the mothers were forced to carry
the dead infants hanging from their necks. Jews were given the choice
to give up Judaism or die, often by torture; pagan temples were built
throughout Israel. Then they plundered and desecrated the Temple of
ELOHEY on the 24th of Kislev 168 BCE.

The soldiers even sacrificed a swine on the Temple Altar, the HOLY TORAH
was spattered with pig blood and cut into pieces, then burned. Then
Antiochus committed the ultimate offense — on the birthday of Zeus,
which is the month of Kislev (December) 24. Antiochus had his soldiers
erect an idol of Zeus Olympus, the Greek's supreme deity, in the
Holy of Holies of the Temple of ELOHEY. Not surprisingly, the idol bore
the face of Antiochus himself. He demanded that the people bow down to
worship his idol god. {As described in Daniel/Danyel 9. 27; 11. 30-31;
Matthew 24. 15–17} Many Jews would not give allegiance to a heathen
deity, and as many as 80,000 people chose to die rather than commit
idolatry.

EYES OF THE LORD
"For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro over the entire earth, to show
HIMSELF strong on behalf of those who are wholeheartedly loyal to HIM."
[2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 16. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Though "GOD is SPIRIT" and HIS "worshipers must worship in spirit and in
truth" [John 4. 24], it is wonderful to know that our LOVING ALMIGHTY
CREATOR is also omnipotent (all powerful, invincible, unstoppable) ,
omniscient (all-knowing, insightful, profound knowledge) and omnipresent
(all-present, completeness, pervasive, all-encompassing) . And we can
know assuredly that "HE WHO formed the eye, shall hE not see?" [Psalms
(Tehillym) 94. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "The eyes of the LORD are
everywhere, observing the wicked and the good." [Proverbs (Mishle) 15. 3
Tanakh, Kethuvim] The eyes of the LORD GOD saw each step of HIS
creation, that "it was good." [Genesis/Bereshith 1] GOD saw Adam and
Eve sinning in the Garden, HE saw Cain kill Abel, and HE saw the people
building the tower at Babel, and HE came down to observe it. Nothing is
done without HIS knowledge, all is seen by the ETERNAL ONE.

The Prophet Zechariah reminded us not to "despises or scorn a day of
small beginnings" for they will be examined and scrutinized by "the eyes
of the LORD, ranging over the whole earth." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 4. 10
Tanakh, Nevi'im] When "YEHOWAH saw how great was man's wickedness
on earth, and how every plan devised by his mind was nothing but evil
all the time" and "the earth was corrupt in GOD'S sight and was full of
violence." [Genesis (Bereshith) 6. 5, 11 Tanakh, Torah] "But Noah found
favor in the eyes of the LORD" [Genesis/Bereshith 6. 8], and he and his
family were saved through the awful flood that encompassed the entire
world.

We are encouraged by the psalmist's words that Peter quoted, "For
the eyes of the LORD are on the righteous and hIS ears are attentive to
their prayer, but the face of the LORD is against those who do evil."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im; 1 Peter 3. 12] It is
reassuring and comforting to know that one of the names of our GREAT GOD
is "EL-ROIY (GOD WHO SEES)" [Genesis/Bereshith 16. 13], and conduct
ourselves responsibly and fittingly, being fully aware that our GOD &
HEAVENLY FATHER is watching us with deep love and concern.

We bless and extol YOU, CREATOR of the Universe for YOUR greatness and
goodness and lift our voices in gratitude for YOUR loving care. YOU are

conscious of YOUR PRESENCE. Help us to see that nothing truly prospers
unless it brings blessing to others lives, and no gain truly enriches if

ASK OF HIM
"To be sure, they seek ME daily, delighted and eager to learn MY ways.
Like a nation that does righteousness, that has not abandoned the Law of
their GOD: They ask ME for the right way, they are eager for the
nearness of GOD." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 58. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"Ask of ME and I will give" says ALMIGHTY GOD and we scarcely heed HIS
words. . . PRAY! Our greatest treasures are found in prayer, there is
nothing that can equal or compensate for the time we share such intimacy
with our LOVING SAVIOR. And, HE is true to HIS WORD, "IF you search
for the LORD your GOD, you will find HIM, IF only you seek HIM with all
your heart and soul." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 4. 29 Tanakh, Torah] The
ETERNAL ONE loves mankind and promises that those "who love ME I love,
and those who seek ME diligently will find ME." [Proverbs (Mishle) 8. 17
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

That lying thief, Satan, seeks to enslave our souls, then kill and
destroy us. Therefore, we should constantly "look to JESUS, the AUTHOR
and FINISHER of our faith." [Hebrews 12. 2] Again we are assured that
if "you will search for ME and find ME, IF only you seek ME
wholeheartedly. I will be at hand for you—declares the LORD—and
I will restore your fortunes. I will gather you from all the nations and
from all the places to which I have banished you—declares the
LORD—and I will bring you back to the place from which I have exiled
you." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 29. 13 - 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The BLESSED
CREATOR promises to gather us from all corners of the earth to HIMSELF.

The DESIRE OF ALL NATIONS is YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, the SOLID ROCK —
turn to Him now and lean on HIM completely. Then, clearly and
straightforward ask the LORD YESHUA to transform you for an abundant
life in HIM. "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will
find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks
receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be
opened." [Matthew 7. 7 - 8]

Every person in every nation "should seek the LORD, in the hope that
they might grope for HIM and find HIM, though HE is not far from each
one of us; for in HIM we live, and move, and have our being as also some
of your own poets have said— For we are also HIS offspring." [Acts
17. 27 - 28] O the PRICELESS TREASURE we pass up when we turn the LORD
away, and HE can be ours for the asking, for HE is mighty to save!

Welcome Sabbath — Queen of the week! The unique status of Shabbat
is demonstrated by its being the only one of the holy days to be
mentioned in the Ten Commandments… Shabbat observance involves both
positive and negative mitzvoth — doing and refraining from doing.
We thank YOU, Great & MIGHTY GOD for by YOUR mercies and grace we were
taught the sanctity of the weekly day of rest, Sabbath is the sign of
the tie that binds us to YOU. Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR
perfect rest.
Please, O LORD give us strong souls because of YOUR commandments,
especially that of the holy Sabbath, the day that is great and sacred
before YOU. May we have our rest on this day, in loving harmony with
YOUR will. We ask YOUR favor in granting us rest that is not disturbed,
without grief or sorrow. O GOD, let us see the comforting of Zion, the
rebuilding of YOUR Holy City Jerusalem. For all this, O LORD our GOD, we
thank and bless YOU. May YOUR NAME be ever blessed. Amen

Hidden wisdom or a concealed treasure, what profit is there in either?

BELLS & POMEGRANATES
"On its hem (coat, robe of mail) make pomegranates of blue, purple, and
crimson yarns, all around the hem, with bells of gold between them all
around: a golden bell and a pomegranate, a golden bell and a
pomegranate, all around the hem of the robe. Aaron shall wear it while
officiating, so that the sound of it is heard when he comes into the
sanctuary before the LORD and when he goes out — that he may not
die." [Exodus (Shemot) 28. 33 - 35 Tanakh, Torah]

Upon the skirts or hem of the seamless robe of blue were alternating
pomegranates and bells. The blue, purple and scarlet which are blended
in this fruit upon breaking, prophesies of the bruising and the crushing
of the LORD JESUS. There is a multitude of seeds in the pomegranate,
which signify "fruitfulness. " The bell, which is pure gold, has a
tongue in it. . . this tells of Testimony (tongue) DIVINE Testimony
(gold). It rings clearly because there is a pomegranate, which acts as
a pad between each bell. The softness prevented the bells from clanging
together and producing discord. YESHUA ha'MASHIACH wore the "spiritual
fruit and bells" all around the hem of HIS seamless garment as HE walked
on the earth. HE had a clear ringing testimony, which was backed up by
the fruit of HIS life. It should be the same with CHRISTians believers
who wear the spiritual robe of blue. It is not by our much speaking,
or by our preaching, neither by the miracles we perform in the "NAME OF
JESUS" — or the gifts of the SPIRIT operating through our life that
we are known. But, the LORD YESHUA said— "by their FRUIT you shall
know them." [Matthew 7. 16, 20]

The JEWISH TALMUD states it this way: "The bells said to the
fruit-bearing tree, 'Why do you not make any noise?' They replied, 'Our
fruits are sufficient advertisement for us.'"

NEW COVENANT priests wear the bell with the pomegranate, not one without
the other; in order to bring a clear ringing testimony with the fruit of
DIVINE love to the world. This is so strikingly portrayed for us in
Paul's first letter to the Corinthians where there are the two Power
Chapters and between them, the Fruit Chapter. Chapter 12 is the Bell,
the Testimony of GOD'S POWER. Chapter 13 is the Pomegranate or Fruit
of DIVINE LOVE. And, chapter 14 is another Bell or Testimony of the
POWER OF GOD. Always together. . . Sound and Fruit — Preaching and
Practice. The GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT must operate with and by DIVINE Love!
[1 Corinthians 13 is the only chapter of the writings of Paul in which
he does not mention the LORD JESUS and yet HE is there. . . HE is LOVE!]

On the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur), the high priest would undress
himself of the glorious garments in the Holy Place. To make the
sacrifice, he wore only the "holy" coat of fine-twined linen with the
mitre (hat/skull cap) and the linen undergarments. [Leviticus/Vayikra
16. 4, 23, 32 - 33] The high priest's dress was all white when he
entered the Holy of Holies; whereas, in the Tent of Meeting, it was
blue, purple, scarlet, and gold; but this is only a visible
differenceÂ…because white is the sum of the other colours.

All year long, until this day, the bells on the high priest's robe of
blue would tinkle clearly (because of the pomegranate pad between them)
and the children of Israel would know that he was ministering before the
LORD MOST HIGH for them. But, on this solemn day, Yom Kippur (Day of
Atonement) the bells were silent. When the priest would again put on
the garments for glory and beauty after the ritual was completed
[Leviticus/Vayikra 16. 23], the bells would ring out to GOD'S people
that the sacrifice had been accepted by OMNISCIENT GOD on their behalf
and that their high priest was still alive!

There is a old fabled teaching that continues to be spread among
CHRISTian circles that now needs to be addressed. According to the
Fable..."So awful was the presence of Holiness in the Holiest Place and
so fearful were the Jews, that the priest who entered into the Holiest
might not be approved of by GOD, that there was a long rope tied to his
ankle which extended into the outer Court as he would walk into the Holy
Room beyond the Veil. After a certain amount of time, if they failed to
hear the bells on the hem of his garment ringing and he failed to
reappear, he was assumed dead and was pulled from the Room by this rope,
since no one dare enter the Holiest Place to secure the dead body of the
priest." This fable is absurd at best! IF a rope was to be tied on the
ankle, the ALMIGHTY ONE would say which ankle, how much time to wait,
and how long the rope would be and what it would be made of.
Furthermore, the Glory Garments were not worn into the Holies to
sprinkle the blood this one-time-a-year ritual, but the white linen
tunic and the linen trousers, linen sash and linen turban.
[Leviticus/Vayikra 16. 4]

Our GREAT HIGH PRIEST, the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, laid aside HIS
"glory garments" to make the sacrifice of HIS OWN life. When HE hung
between heaven and earth, unwanted by both, the bells were silent; no
DIVINE voice was heard. After HIS resurrection, JESUS ascended to the
HEAVENLY FATHER, presented the tokens of HIS sacrifice before the Mercy
Seat (in keeping with the ritual) and later poured out the GIFT OF THE
HOLY SPIRIT upon HIS waiting disciples.

Now we can understand the warning JESUS the ANOINTED ONE spoke to Miryam
(Mary) of Magdala the time of CHRIST'S appearance to her after HIS
resurrection. [John 20. 17] Why did MESSIAH tell her not to touch HIM?
Because YESHUA is the FULFILLMENT of the high priests in Israel who
performed the ceremonies of the Day of Atonement exactly as the priest
did. Great care was taken to guard against any unclean person entering
the Sanctuary. [Leviticus/Vayikra 16. 17] No one was permitted to
remain there while the high priest officiated in the Holy of Holies on
the "GREAT DAY." No unclean person could touch him and he could not
touch anyone for fear of defilement. When the blood had been applied to
the Mercy Seat, and every detail had been carried out as GOD OMNIPOTENT
had commanded, thus receiving HIS approval and acceptance, the high
priest then could be touched by hands and congratulated for his work
which had been accomplished. [Leviticus/Vayikra 16 w/Hebrews 8. 1 - 6;
9. 6 - 14]

As soon as YESHUA ha'MASHIACH arose from the dead, HE must enter into
the Holy of Holies immediately, that is to ascend straight to GOD THE
FATHER and there present the tokens of HIS sacrifice on Calvary, in
order to complete this important Day's ritual. The LORD JESUS told
Miryam the reason HE wanted her "not to touch, cling to or lay hold" of
HIM. JESUS "had not yet ascended to the FATHER" — HE had not
entered the Holy of Holies to complete the ritual. Therefore, HE would
not allow anyone to touch HIM, just as was the case with the earthly
high priest of the Tabernacle service as commanded by HOLY GOD for the
Great Day of Atonement. When the LORD YESHUA entered the Holy of Holies
and concluded the ceremony at the Mercy Seat in Heaven (which could have
taken mere seconds), MESSIAH YESHUA returned and met HIS friends on
earth who then could touch HIM (in fact they held HIS feet) and
congratulated HIM (worshipped CHRIST THE LIVING WORD, the KING OF GLORY)
for the work HE had done! [Matthew 28. 9]

After offering the sacrifices, the Israelites waited for the sound of
the bells which indicated their high priest had again put on his
garments for glory and beauty, and that GOD ALMIGHTY had accepted the
sacrifice. Thus, it was with the 120 disciples in the Upper Room in
Jerusalem, they knew the LORD JESUS, their HIGH PRIEST, lived and was in
the presence of the FATHER when they heard the sound from heaven. The
DIVINE Testimony (golden bells) rang clearly through the disciples
showing them their MESSIAH—PRIEST— KING was alive and would
continue HIS life and work through them (pomegranates signify
reproduction) by the operation of the HOLY SPIRIT. How perfect is our
WONDERFUL LORD GOD!

though the reward be great, and the MASTER of the work presses. It is
not incumbent upon you to complete the work; but you must not therefore
cease from it. If you have worked much, great shall be your reward —
for the MASTER WHO employed you is faithful in HIS payment. But know
that the true reward is not of this world.

ASK FOR WISDOM
"Now this is the confidence that we have in HIM (the ALL-WISE MASTER),
that if we ask anything according to HIS will, HE hears us. And if we
know that HE hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the
petitions that we have asked of HIM." [1 John 5. 14 - 15]

When we ask in prayer believing, we know that OMNIPOTENT LORD OF HOSTS
not only hears our petition, but also has told us, "Whatever things you
ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have
them." [Mark 11. 24] For those who ask for GODly wisdom, they first
must fear the LORD, then depart from all evil and obey the commandments
of the LORD JESUS and diligently pursue to know and be like HIM. "If
any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of GOD, WHO gives to all liberally
and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But let him ask in
faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea
driven and tossed by the wind." [James 1. 5 - 6]

"If you make your ear attentive to wisdom and your mind open to
discernment; if you call to understanding and cry aloud to discernment,
if you seek her (wisdom) as you do silver and search for her as for
treasures; then you will understand the fear of the LORD and attain
knowledge of GOD. For the LORD grants wisdom; knowledge and
understanding are by HIS decree." [Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 2 - 6 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] "Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have
confidence toward GOD. And whatever we ask we receive from HIM, because
we keep HIS commandments and do those things that are pleasing in HIS
sight." [1 John 3. 21 - 22]

The promises of ETERNAL GOD are true and they are life. GODly wisdom
says: "Mine are counsel and sound wisdom and resourcefulness; I am
understanding; courage is mine. Those who love me, I love, and those who
seek me diligently will find me." [Proverbs (Mishle) 8. 14, 17 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] If you would, with all your heart and soul, return to the
LOVING MASTER and obey HIS voice according to all that HE commands you,
you will find HIM. That is a promise and a blessing.

Such incredibly amazing love can only come from our HEAVENLY FATHER! In
HIM are riches and honor forevermore. ..and when we ask, our joy is
complete.

FAITH, HOPE, LOVE
"And now abide Faith, Hope, Love, these three; but the greatest of these
is LOVE." [1 Corinthians 13. 13]

Love and charity are one and the same in meaning. Pure and undefiled
BIBLICAL love before GOD and the HEAVENLY FATHER is concern for the
welfare of others. This is True Charity in its highest manifestation. .
. by demonstration.

Faith, Hope, Love — these three abiding virtues are all involved in
our eternal salvation. The orthodox doctrine establishes that faith is
the only means pertinent to salvation. "By grace you are saved through
faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of GOD." [Ephesians 2.
8]

Hope's characteristic is effectively operational in salvation. If we
have what we hope for, we no longer hope, we have. "For we were saved
in this hope, but hope that is seen is not hope...but if we hope for
what we do not see, then we eagerly wait for it with perseverance. "
[Romans 8. 24 - 25] For those faithfully following MESSIAH YESHUA,
hope is not just wishing, it is waiting — confidently expecting.
This hope is a "blessed hope" centered on KING MESSIAH YESHUA'S soon and
imminent return. [Titus 2. 13]

Faith and Hope by which we are saved are themselves designed and
directed in the BELOVED LORD JESUS. Our faith is "the gift of GOD." The
same is true of our Hope — "CHRIST in you, the HOPE of glory."
[Colossians 1. 27]

Saving faith and saving hope, gifts given from our HEAVENLY FATHER, are
our faith and our hope. But, the love that saves is not our love; it is
the love of GOD ALMIGHTY. And, because of GOD'S perfect love, we know
how to love others effectively. "For GOD so loved the world that HE gave
HIS ONLY-Begotten SON, that whoever believes in HIM should not perish
but have everlasting life...through HIM the world might be saved." [John
3. 16 - 17] These three abide, our gift of faith, our hope, and our
love in response to HIS GREATER LOVE.

PROMISED RESTORATION
"For thus said the LORD— As I have brought this great calamity upon
this people, so I will bring upon them all the good which I promised
them." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 32. 42 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

GOD never winked at the sins of Israel, "For she has received from the
hand of the LORD double for all her sins." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 40. 2] But
the IMMUTABLE COVENANTS OF GOD were not altered. The promise to Abraham
and to his seed stands! Our GOD keeps faith with the dead. True,
terrible judgments fell on faithless Israel, but those judgments were
not permitted to destroy her. "For I am with you to deliver you —
declares the LORD, I will make a end of all nations where I have
scattered you, but I will not make a complete end of you! I will not
leave you unpunished, but will chastise you in measure." [Jeremiah
(Yirmeyah) 30. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Like the rejected MESSIAH, the Jew is a man of sorrow and acquainted
with grief. Though the poison venom of the neo-anti-Semitic of the world
has, though in vain, tried to exterminate the Jewish people. However,
though loathed throughout time you can neither curse them, for they are
cursed! You cannot bless them, for they are blessed! You cannot destroy
them for they raise again.

GOD forbid that you, a follower of CHRIST, become infected with the
virus of the world's most morbid disease — anti-Semitism —
as some have been. If the Jew needs chastisement for offenses,
imaginary or otherwise, bear in mind that your GOD has said: "Vengeance
belongs to ME, I will recompense. And again, the LORD (not you) shall
judge HIS people." [Hebrews 10. 30]

It is not for you to "persecute him whom GOD has smitten.
[Psalms/Tehillym 69. 26] In this age of grace, the HOLY ONE may permit
the rod for their correction to be held in the hand of paganized,
papalized or paranoid persons, but never in the hand of a born-again
child of HIS grace. Don't forget, the RIGHTEOUS ONE emphasizing,
"Salvation" — not destruction — "is of the Jews." [John 4. 22]

Though much tribulation and anguish has been heaped upon the Jewish
people, GOD promises them: "Behold, the days are coming— says the
LORD —when I will sow the House of Israel and the House of Judah
with seed of men and the seed of cattle. And just as I was watchful over
them to uproot and to pull down, to over throw and to destroy and to
bring disaster, so I will watch over them to build and to plant —
declares the LORD." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 31. 27 - 28 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

The plan of GOD will never perish in the course of time; the holy fire
cannot be suppressed nor extinguished by the many storms which rage
against us, but it has been kindled all the more shinning brighter and
more clearly, filled with the most ennobling thoughts, and ever
extending HIS rule with the forward movements of time. What GOD has
determined, will be done and HIS amazing grace will fill the whole world
for HE is the ALMIGHTY GOD of the Jew and the Gentile alike!

O LORD, our GUIDE even unto death, grant us, we pray, grace to follow
YOU through out our lives. In our daily duties, bow our wills to simple

perfection, if YOU should call us to them, uplift us to self-sacrifice
and courage to lay down our life for YOUR truth's sake, or for our
brother. Thank YOU, our HEAVENLY FATHER, for YOUR righteousness and
keeping us under YOUR sheltering wing.
Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to GOD in heaven for HIS
loving-kindness. The LORD is mighty over us and we are ever thankfully

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
As long as I do not speak a word, I am its master. But once I say it, I
am its slave.

ROYAL GARMENT'S OF THE PRIESTS
"You shall make the robe of the ephod of pure blue. The opening for the
head shall be in the middle of it; the opening shall have a binding of
woven work round about — it shall be like the opening of a coat of
mail — so that it does not tear." [Exodus (Shemot) 28. 4 - 5 Tanakh,
Torah]

The High Priest wore a special robe over the fine-twined linen breeches
and coat. This robe could only be put upon a person already wearing the
fine linen garments. It was put on from above and always worn as a
symbol of office, authority and dignity. The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is
the very righteousness of GOD ETERNAL, as symbolized in the coat of
linen; and HE is the KING. Therefore, HE could wear the robe! We who
are the sons of the MOST HIGH GOD, wear the garments of salvation,
dressed up in MESSIAH'S righteousness. So, we can be clothed from above
with HIS heavenly dignity. JESUS THE BELOVED is the KING/PRIEST; we are
the Children of the KING, a royal priesthood.

It is not stated of what material this robe was to be made, only that it
was blue — heaven's color, representing the LORD JESUS WHO came from
heaven; it tells of HIS heavenly origin and destiny and of ours! We are
GOD'S people who have been born from above.

There was no seam in this robe, no beginning and no ending. Our LORD
YESHUA is from "everlasting to everlasting. " [Psalms/Tehillym 90. 2] HE
has the "power of an endless life." [Hebrews 7. 16] Those who are in
MESSIAH wear this "spiritual dress" of Eternity for HE promises HIS
sons, "because I live, you will live also" [John 14. 19], and "he that
lives and believes in ME shall never die." [John 11. 26]

Around the neck of this garment was a linen corset ("tacharah" is the
Hebrew word meaning binding of woven work — it implies "white or
linen") which made it impossible to tear, for the rending of it was
forbidden. [Leviticus/Vayikra 10. 6] Notice in the fulfillment of this
commandment and prophecy [Psalms/Tehillym 22. 18], the Roman soldiers
did not divide the robe of the MAN OF SORROWS among themselves, as was
the custom, but gambled for the whole garment instead. [Mark 15. 14;
John 19. 24] The HOLY ETERNAL ONE also had commanded that the people
of Israel rend their hearts and not their garments. [Joel/Yoel 2. 13]
The LORD JESUS' robe was not torn, but HIS heart was [Psalms/Tehillym
22. 14] — broken for the sins of the world. Caiphas did tear his
garment, however, when YESHUA stood before him. The penalty, under the
Law, for disobedience of defiling the priestly garment, was death.
Unconsciously Caiphas testified, by this tearing of his robe, that he
"died" and was no longer the High Priest in Israel — that YESHUA is
the TRUE HIGH PRIEST! [Leviticus/Vayikra 21. 10]

No man could take MESSIAH'S life from HIM, JESUS deliberately laid it
down of HIMSELF. HIS robe was kept whole; it could not be torn. And,
no one can take our life in the LORD JESUS from us! For all eternity,
those who remain faithful, can rest in assurance that they belong to the
MASTER CREATOR, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL.

"If one holds fast to MY strength, MY refuge, he makes ME his friend and
he shall make peace with ME. In days to come Jacob shall strike root,
Israel shall blossom and bud, and the face of the world shall be covered
with fruit." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 27. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The awesome GOD OF ISRAEL promised HIS people the fertile land, as they
obeyed HIS statutes and kept HIS judgments and performed them, safety
was also promised. The ETERNAL ONE desired to set HIS Tabernacle among
them, to walk beside them, to be their GOD, and they to be HIS covenant
people. [Leviticus/Vayikra 26. 4 - 12] This great plan will be
obviously manifested when the LORD YESHUA, the DESIRE OF ALL NATIONS
rules in righteousness and justice.

"The LORD put out HIS hand and touched my mouth, and the LORD said to me
— Herewith I put MY WORDS in your mouth. See, I appoint you this day
over the nations and over the kingdoms: To uproot and to pull down, to
destroy and to overthrow, to build and to plant." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah)
1. 9 - 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"The arid desert shall be glad, the wilderness shall rejoice and shall
blossom like a rose. It shall blossom abundantly it shall also exult and
rejoice with joy and singing. It shall receive the glory of Lebanon, the
excellence and splendor of Karm'El and Sharon. They shall behold the

If all people of the world were to acquaint themselves with the ALMIGHTY
ONE, THE MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE, and be close to HIM wholeheartedly,
accept instructions from HIS mouth and lay up HIS WORDS in their heart.
. . If they fully returned to SHADDAI, we would see the entire earth
restored. It will blossom (Hebrew: tsoots) and bloom (Hebrew:
pa'rach) for HIS glory some day very soon. What is even more
splendid, we will be the people of the MOST HIGH and He will be our GOD.

that they think it is the solution to every problem." [Dr. Efraim
Zuroff]

TRUTH, THE EVIDENCE
"If anyone wants to do HIS will, he shall know concerning the doctrine,
whether it is from GOD or whether I speak on MY OWN authority. He who
speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but HE WHO seeks the glory of
the ONE WHO sent HIM is true, and no unrighteousness is in HIM." [John
7. 17 - 19]

When the LORD JESUS spoke these words, HE was speaking to arrogant
religionists who regarded HIM as nothing but a wandering TEACHER,
rejecting HIS TEACHINGS, even though they knew these precepts were
recorded facts. MESSIAH YESHUA'S rebuke of these hypocrites is a
timeless standard for recognizing GOD'S truth and knowing HIS desire.
In his last epistle, the Apostle Paul wrote about certain academic
philosophers and academic thinkers who would be "always learning and
never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." Then, Paul continues
to make it perfectly clear as to why such corrupt persons, though
educated, are still incapable of accepting real truth, they simply
"resist the truth...but they will progress no further, for their folly
will be manifest to all." [2 Timothy 3. 7 - 9]

It is not that they could not learn the truth, but they would not
because they are not willing to believe or obey the truth when they
learned it. They are basically unwilling to believe doctrine plainly
revealed in the LORD GOD'S WRITTEN PURE WORD OF TRUTH when it is in
conflict with doctrines based exclusively on human reasoning.

For this reason, YESHUA, the ENDURING SHEPHERD prayed, "I thank YOU,
FATHER, LORD OF HEAVEN & EARTH, that YOU have hidden these things from
the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes. Even so, FATHER,
for so it seemed good in YOUR sight." [Matthew 11. 25 - 26]

GOD'S will is always consistent with HIS TEACHING, which is written to
be easily understood by anyone who is willing to believe what HE said
and do it. Hide HIS TREASURED PROMISES in your heart, it is the most
commendable thing you can do for yourself. "YOUR WORD I have hidden in
my heart, that I do not sin against YOU!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 11
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"Be diligent [study attentively] to present yourself approved to GOD, a
worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD OF
TRUTH. But shun (avoid, keep away from) profane and idle babblings, for
they will increase to more ungodliness. " [2 Timothy 2. 15 - 16] May we
live to keep GOD'S WORD and the wisdom of HIS TEACHINGS.

Let the honor of your disciple be as dear to you as your own; and the
honor of your associate be like the fear of your MASTER; and the fear of
your MASTER like the fear of Heaven.

PIERCED FOR ME
"And I will fill the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem
with the SPIRIT of grace and of compassion; and they shall look upon ME
WHOM they have pierced, and they shall mourn BECAUSE of HIM as one
mourns for his only son, and shall be in bitterness for HIM as one that
is in bitterness for his firstborn." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 12. 10
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Jewish scholars have pondered the meaning and interpretation of this
verse for centuries, and there have been many varied interpretations.
Since they cannot allow admission that they are the ones who pierced
YEHOWAH, the TRUE & LIVING GOD, some have applied it to the nation of
Israel, with its persecutions in mind. But, to resolve the issue the
question must be answered— Who is this "WHO" that has been pierced?

Interestingly enough, the Hebrew word "'atta" translated "whom" is
simply the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet, "Aleph" and
"Taf" — which denotes completeness and surpassing excellency.

The prominent name for CREATOR GOD in HOLY SCRIPTURE, "YEHOWAH" —
conveys a similar thought, although difficult to translate. Obviously,
the name "YEHOWAH" communicates the all-inclusive, far-reaching, ever
self-existing nature of the only ALMIGHTY GOD OMNIPOTENT, among other
things. Nevertheless HE is so much more wonderful then word can ever
describe.

These two thoughts come together when you see a similar quote in the
Book of Revelation, "Behold, HE is coming with clouds, and every eye
will see HIM, and they also who pierced HIM. And all the tribes of the
earth will mourn BECAUSE of HIM. Even so, Amen. I am the ALPHA and the
OMEGA, the BEGINNING and the END — says the LORD WHO is and WHO was
and WHO is to come, the ALMIGHTY." [Revelation 1. 7 - 8]

It is as if YEHOWAH HIMSELF is asking the question: Do you doubt WHOM
it is you pierced? I am the ALEPH-TAF, the ALPHA-OMEGA, YEHOWAH, the
ALMIGHTY ONE, the BEGINNING and the ENDING of all things. "I am, the
LORD, the FIRST, and will be the LAST as well, I am HE." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 41. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Oh the limitless love of GOD, how
rich and measureless! !!

BONE OF MY BONE
"Then Adam said— This one at last is bone of my bones and flesh of
my flesh. This one shall be called woman (Hebrew: `ishshah), for
from man (Hebrew: `ish) she was taken." [Genesis (Bereshit) 2. 23
Tanakh, Torah]

This statement of the first man, Adam, was made when the MIGHTY CREATOR
told him that a suitable helper would be made for him…"The LORD GOD
said— "It is not good for man to be alone; I will make a fitting
helper for him." And the LORD GOD formed out of the earth all the beasts
of the field and all the fowl of the sky, and brought them to Adam to
see what he would call them; and whatever the man called each living
creature, that was its name. So Adam gave names to all cattle, to the
fowl of the air, and to every beast of the field. But for Adam there was
not found a fitting help meet for him. So the LORD GOD caused a deep
sleep to fall on Adam, and while he slept; HE took one of his ribs, and
closed up the flesh thereof. Then the LORD GOD made from the rib which
HE had taken from man into a woman; and HE brought her to the man."
[Genesis (Bereshith) 2. 18 - 22 Tanakh, Torah]

Then, out of the ground, GOD formed the beasts and brought them to him.
After their presentation, none was suitable for him. Adam was searching
from among these creatures of the dust one to be his close friend and
partner, but found none to be suitable. CREATOR GOD had not given to
them of HIS life as was the case with the man that HE had made.
Therefore, a helpmate was not found among them to correspond to the
nature of the "GOD-Breathed" one. In mercy, because it was not good for
man to be alone, the MASTER DESIGNER performed a miraculous operation
for his sake. From the side-parts (Hebrew: tsela' — a rib {as
curved} side of the body) of Adam HE built him a woman. Upon seeing
her, the man accepted her as his very own flesh and bone.

The creatures that were formed out of the ground and brought before him,
having no GOD-consciousness, were not suitable. But this time from his
own flesh, she was a part of him, closer and dearer then any other
living creature in the Garden!

What a wonderful spiritual truth we see here. The first time we were
born (physically) , we came from the ground and did not have the BREATH
OF GOD or DIVINE LIFE, and therefore could not possibly become helper or
one who could come along-side and be a part of the MAN OF GLORY. But
GOD, in HIS mercy and because HE so loved, performed a miraculous
operation upon the LAST ADAM, MESSIAH YESHUA — for behold! there
came forth from HIS "side-parts" the precious blood, HIS life, which
made it possible for one to be born again, born of GOD, this time a very
vital, warm, living part of HIM!

"Your body is the temple of the HOLY SPIRIT WHO is in you, whom you have
from GOD, and you are not your own for you were bought at a price;
therefore glorify GOD in your body and in your spirit, which are GOD'S."
[see 1 Corinthians 6. 19] Now all who accept the LORD YESHUA are fit to
be HIS companion, HIS hand extended — closer and dearer to HIM than
when we were but creatures of the dust alone! HalleluYAH!

How remarkable, it is the redeemed souls the LORD uses to build the
Church, not stones like the Temple was constructed of...fadeless,
endless, indescribable glory — a consummation of all GOD'S

Suffering is always a preparation for greatness.

THANKFUL BEYOND MEASURE
"In everything give thanks; for this is the will of GOD in CHRIST JESUS
for you." [1 Thessalonians 5. 18]

This can be one of the most challenging passages in HOLY SCRIPTURE when
suffering and adversity surrounds us. Yet it is a command along with
supporting instructions: "Be filled with the SPIRIT...giving thanks
always above all things to GOD THE FATHER in the NAME of our LORD JESUS
CHRIST." [Ephesians 5. 18, 20] "Rejoice in the LORD always. Again I
will say, REJOICE! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The LORD is
at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and
supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to GOD;
and the peace of GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your
hearts and minds through MESSIAH YESHUA." [Philippians 4. 4 - 7]

Even in tribulation we are to be thankful and give glory to our LOVING
LORD GOD— "glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces
perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope." [Romans
5. 3 - 4] This is done by faith alone, following the perfect example of
the HUMBLED & EXALTED MAN OF SORROWS. "Let this mind be in you which was
also in CHRIST JESUS." [Philippians 2. 5]

No matter the trials we must endure, we will never have to suffer as did
THE GALILEAN when HE, "for the joy that was set before HIM endured the
cross, despising the shame." [Hebrews 12. 2] We are instructed in the
OLD COVENANT— "If you have run with the footmen, and they have
wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? And if in the land of
peace, in which you trusted, they wearied you, then how will you do in
the floodplain of the Jordan?" [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 12. 5 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] Simply stated. . .if a little pain overcomes you, how can you
endure the cross?

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us
a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we do not look
at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For
the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not
seen are eternal." [2 Corinthians 4. 1 - 18] Knowing the just shall
live by faith, we should not hide ourselves in times of trouble from the
MIGHTY INTERCESSOR.

And through faith, we can face any situation knowing they are in
accordance to HIS OWN purpose and grace. Then we, who are loved with
GOD'S inestimable everlasting love know with full assurance, it is GOD
WHO works all things out for our good, for those who love HIM. [Romans
8. 28]

So we can rejoice more and more giving thanks and praise continually to
the TRUE & LIVING GOD WHO not only loves us, but does all things
amazingly and beyond measure.

MESSIAH — AFFLICTED FOR ISRAEL
"I will recount the loving-kindnesses of the LORD and the praises of the
Lord, for all that the Lord has imparted to us, the great goodness to
the House of Israel, that HE has bestowed on them according to HIS
mercies and to the multitude of HIS loving-kindness. In all their
affliction He was afflicted, and the ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE delivered
them. In HIS love and pity HE HIMSELF redeemed them; HE raised them and
carried them all the days of old." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 63. 7, 9 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

The very heart of GOD'S MESSAGE is HIS everlasting love to Israel.
In speaking to them HE tells that HIS love is one of suffering and
sacrifice. We find this attitude of the HOLY ONE recorded particularly
in the book of Isaiah which sounds more like a NEW COVENANT writer then
an OLD COVENANT prophet as his MESSIANIC prophecies are clearer and more
explicit than those in any other OLD COVENANT book.

For about fifteen hundred years Israel offered daily sacrifices to GOD
at HIS commands which pointed to the coming of ONE WHO would fulfill
this sacrificial love of the ALMIGHTY. These sacrifices were not
intended by GOD to be an end in themselves, but HE taught HIS ancient
people, Israel — in these types, pictures, and symbols — of HIS
desire to reveal HIS great suffering love for them and that one day HE
would actually do this in a SUPREME SACRIFICE, their
MESSIAH-REDEEMER- KING!

In the TANAKH, the HEBREW SCRIPTURES, we read concerning the MESSIAH OF
ISRAEL, the SAVIOUR of the world. We find there that HE was to come and
express GOD'S love to Israel and to all who would believe on HIM.
Again, in Isaiah's prophecy, GOD is speaking concerning HIS PROMISED
ONE; this UNIQUE ONE WHO would be THE SERVANT OF GOD. "Indeed, MY
SERVANT shall deal prudently; HE shall be exalted and extolled to great
heights." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 52. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The GOD of
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob named the MESSIAH calling HIM "MY SERVANT."
GOD continues HIS description of HIM: "Just as the many were astonished
(Hebrew: shamem – petrified, to stun, stupefy, devastate) at HIM, so
marred was HIS appearance, unlike that of any man, HIS form, beyond
human semblance." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 52. 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Here it is recorded concerning the SERVANT — MESSIAH'S
sufferings. So much was HIS suffering that HE was an astonishment. HIS
face and HIS body were twisted in agony because of HIS sacrificial
offering for Israel and all mankind. From words in the HEBREW TEXT we
realize that in HIS agony, the beatings accompanying HIS sacrifice
disfigured HIS face and twisted HIS body to such a degree that HE did
not even look like a man!

Isaiah continues to relate MESSIAH'S suffering: "I gave MY back to
the floggers, and My cheeks to those who tore out the beard; I did not
hide MY face from insult and spitting." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 50. 6 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] Notice as you read this particular chapter that it is the
LORD GOD HIMSELF WHO is speaking. HE is saying, "I gave MY back to the
floggers." So GOD had a back and it was whipped and beaten by man!
Quote again from SCRIPTURE concerning GOD'S sacrificial
suffering-love for Israel: "In all their affliction HE was afflicted."
Yes! MESSIAH entered into the sufferings of Israel even to the agony,
the beatings with shame and spitting, the humiliation and heart-break
which was associated with HIS supreme sacrifice on Calvary!

Why would MESSIAH do this? HE is showing HIS sacrificial suffering-love
to Israel even as it was pictured by GOD in all the sacrifices of the
HOLY WRIT! All Israel who had faith in these sacrifices were redeemed
by the sacrificial blood sprinkled on the Altars and the Ark of the
Covenant's Mercy Seat. It is like a credit arrangement until the
actual SUPREME SACRIFICE on Calvary was accomplished when the debt was
paid in full!

"So will HE sprinkle many nations." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 52. 15] Throughout
the FIRST COVENANT WRITINGS in the sacrificial system, GOD commanded the
Levitical priests to sprinkle the sacrificial blood — "A life for a
life." There was to be an innocent victim offered in the place of the
guilty. The MESSIAH was to give up HIS innocent life so HE could redeem
many who were guilty. It was because YESHUA was marred more than any
man as a sacrifice upon an altar that HE could "sprinkle" many nations.

After this report of MESSIAH'S sacrifice is given we read of a
heart-breaking prophecy from Isaiah: "Who has believed our report? To
whom has the arm of the LORD been revealed? For HE shall grow up before
HIM as a tender plant, as a root out of arid ground. HE has no form or
comeliness; that we should look at HIM; no beauty that we should desire
HIM. HE is despised, rejected by men, a MAN of sorrows and acquainted
with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from HIM (as a leper); HE
was despised, and we held HIM of no esteem." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 1 -
3 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There is a question as to whether or not this report and description of
the MESSIAH will be accepted and believed! It is taught to my Jewish
people that Isaiah 53 represents Israel and not MESSIAH YESHUA, the
RIGHTEOUS, SUFFERING SERVANT OF GOD. My Jewish people were and are
taught to believe that this chapter is merely describing the sufferings
Jews have and are undergoing…that they are the ones despised,
acquainted with grief and rejected of men. This beautiful chapter of
Isaiah is referring to MESSIAH and not the Jewish people. Try
substituting the personal pronouns "HE, HIS, HIM" with the word "Israel"
and you can see for yourself that this thought is ridiculous at best.
Please read it for yourselves and recognize the description of the ONE
WHO was to come as REDEEMER for you and all who will believe on HIM.

What all my Jewish people (and Gentiles) must know is that the SOVEREIGN
GOD OF THE UNIVERSE planned from the foundation of the world that there
would be two comings of their REDEEMER: The First Coming would be that
of the SUFFERING SACRIFICE for the people's sins and at HIS Second
Coming, HE would be KING. First, YESHUA must appear as the LAMB
Sacrifice before that HE could appear as RULER in Israel. And, my
Jewish people, you must first accept HIM as the AFFLICTED SERVANT, the
SAVIOUR-REDEEMER, the SUPREME SACRIFICE for your sins, before you can
receive HIM as your LORD & KING. Won't you do that now?

May the GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob bless each of you and open your
eyes to see YESHUA as your MESSIAH, YOUR PERFECT SACRIFICE. Accept HIM
into your heart — the ONE WHO died for you and rose again and is
coming back for you to be with HIM forever!

theirs. Suffer us not to pass away in our sins, O RIGHTEOUS JUDGE of

is displeasing in YOUR sight, and thus become reconciled to YOU. Keep us

JOY & REJOICING
"When YOUR WORDS were offered, I devoured them; YOUR WORD brought me the
delight and joy of knowing YOUR NAME is attached to mine, O LORD, GOD OF
HOSTS." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 15. 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

These were the joyous words of Jeremiah, the weeping prophet.
Even in his gloom and misery, he could rejoice and find great joy in the LORD GOD'S PRECIOUS WORD.

CHRIST-like- ones have a unique life which is the exceptional privilege
of the redeemed...they have heavenly joy! There are many courses
through which this joy can be experienced. Joy comes from knowing for
certain that our sins are forgiven through believing that the blood of
the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA covers them; and that by reading the HOLY WORD,
we can know more about our LORD and SAVIOR. "I greatly rejoice in the
LORD, my whole being exults with joy in my GOD. For HE has clothed me
with garments of salvation and triumph, wrapped me in a robe of
victory." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 61. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Wonderful joy is found in the privilege of praying to the GREAT GOD OF
HEAVEN and having our prayers answered— "Ask, and you will receive,
that your joy may be full." [John 16. 24] And, incredibly tremendous
joy comes when one sees the fruits of their service. "Those who sow in
tears shall reap with songs of joy. Though he goes along weeping,
carrying the seed-bag, he shall come back with songs of joy, carrying
his sheaves." [Psalms (Tehillym) 126. 5 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] We will
enjoy the fruit of our labors and they are most sweet.

"Rejoice in the LORD always. Again I will say, Rejoice!" [Philippians 4.
4] After all, we know personally the EVER-LIVING CREATOR of all that
is good. "Though now you do not see HIM, yet believing, you rejoice
with joy inexpressible and full of glory." [1 Peter 1. 8] "YOU will
teach me the path of life. In YOUR PRESENCE (SHAMMAH) is PERFECT JOY;
delights are ever in YOUR right hand." [Psalms (Tehillym) 16. 11 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

"Behold, GOD is my SALVATION (YESHUA)! I am confident, unafraid; For YAH
the LORD is my STRENGTH ('OWZ) and SONG (ZIMRATH), and HE has been my
DELIVERANCE (YASHA)." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 12. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Now to
HIM WHO is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you faultless
before the presence of HIS glory with exceeding joy. To GOD our SAVIOR
(YESHUA), WHO alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power,
both now and forever. Amen" [Jude 24 - 25] What a MIGHTY GOD we serve!

A ravisher (a degenerate or a spoiler) must take the consequences, he
must drink out of the vessel he abused.

WASHING OTHER'S FEET
"He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean."
[John 13. 10]

When Peter heard JESUS, the GALILEAN speak these words to him, he
understood that fellowship with MESSIAH YESHUA is gained by washing. We
must humble ourselves, admit our sinfulness and our desperate need of
the MASTER'S cleansing. Not only our own feet need washing, but we must
also wash our brothers: "If I then, your LORD and TEACHER, have washed
your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given
you an example, that you should do as I have done to you." [John 13. 14
- 15]

GOD ETERNAL established the way for washing. Moses was instructed to
make a Copper Laver for Aaron and his sons to wash from. And he was
also instructed to wash them with water. [Exodus/Shemot 29. 4] They
were "to wash their hands and their feet in water drawn from it, that
they may not die." This ordinance was forever to them — to Aaron
and his descendants throughout their generations. [Exodus/Shemot 30. 18
- 21]

When the woman was scorned and ridiculed for washing the LORD JESUS'
feet "with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head" [Luke 7.
38], her sins were forgiven her. YESHUA said to HIS disciples —
"Her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much. But to whom
little is forgiven, the same loves little." [Luke 7. 47] Thus implying
that the one for whom much is forgiven, the same LOVES MUCH.

If we apply this thinking to our present situation in life, should we
not be as concerned about others as we are about self and be quick to
wash the feet of others (forgive them), for we have been freely bathed
(forgiven) of our indebtedness (complete inability to pay) to the ONE
WHO is our PERFECT EXAMPLE, the LORD JESUS CHRIST.

"But when the kindness and the love of GOD our SAVIOR toward man
appeared not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according
to HIS mercy HE saved us, through the Washing of Regeneration and
Renewing of the HOLY SPIRIT." [Titus 3. 4 - 5] The LAVER we have
available to us now is GOD'S HOLY WRITTEN WORD and the PurE WATER is
freely available to wash from for our daily cleansing. In HIS loving
mercy, the MASTER DESIGNER has always been our PERFECT EXAMPLE.

Welcome Sabbath! Please, O LORD, give us strong souls because of YOUR
commandments, especially that of the holy Sabbath, the day that is great
and sacred before YOU. May we have our rest on this day, in loving
harmony with YOUR will. We ask YOUR favor in granting us rest that is
not disturbed with grief or sorrow. O GOD, let us see the comforting of
Zion, that rebuilding of YOUR Holy City Jerusalem. For YOU are our LORD
WHO will always give us saving grace and consolation as we turn to YOU
alone. Blessings to all who love Zion!
May we each deliberately turn away from weekday pressures and
activities to fill this special day with kedushah (holiness), menuchah
(rest, ever-changing stillness), and oneg (joy).
