A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A clean conscience makes a soft pillow.

SELICHOT - THINK & PRAY
On this Sabbath of Repentance, O our GOD, open our hearts to its solemn
call to turn from the vanities of life and consider our destiny in the
light of YOUR ETERNAL TRUTH. Help us to see whether we have indeed
hearkened to YOUR VOICE and have done justly, loved mercy and walked
humbly before YOU, our MAKER. Or, whether we have been negligent in the
fulfillment of our duties and have strayed from the path of moral
strength and integrity.

O RIGHTEOUS JUDGE OF THE WORLD, as we survey our life, we are filled
with shame that we have fallen short of the purpose for which YOU did
send us, and we have failed to use aright the numerous gifts which YOU
have given us. Humbly we confess that our intentions and our deeds
accuse us before the tribunal of our conscience and convict us in YOUR
sight.

O GREAT GOD OF HOLINESS, YOU know that we are but dust and in our
weakness we often yield to selfish indulgences. Create in us a pure
heart and renew a steadfast spirit within us. Strengthen us in our
resolve to mend our ways. Let our struggle with error and sin lead us
to a clearer realization of the Truth of YOUR HOLY WORD and to a firmer
adherence to YOUR LAW OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. Help us to remove every
misunderstanding between ourselves and our fellowmen.

YOU, LORD GOD OF HOSTS alone know when the day shall dawn in which the
light of YOUR truth, brighter than that of the visible sun, shall
encircle the whole earth. But, surely that great day so fervently
prayed for shall come, as surely as none of YOUR LIFE-GIVING WORDS
return empty, but shall accomplish that for which YOU did send them. O
GOD, YOU are plenteous in mercy and forgiveness, please establish peace
and harmony in our souls that we may be truly at one with YOU.

Then joy shall thrill all hearts and from one end of the earth to the
other and the gladsome cry shall echo: "Hear, O Israel, hear all
mankind, the ETERNAL our GOD, the ETERNAL is ONE." Then myriads will
make pilgrimage to YOUR HOUSE which shall be called the "HOUSE OF
PRAYER" and from their lips shall sound in spiritual joy: "LORD, open
for us the gates of YOUR TRUTH. O gates, lift up your heads! Up high,
you everlasting doors, so the KING OF GLORY may come in! WHO is the KING
OF GLORY? — the LORD OF HOSTS, mighty and valiant, the LORD, valiant
in battle. O gates, lift up your heads! Lift them up, you everlasting
doors, so the KING OF GLORY may come in! WHO is the KING OF GLORY? —
the LORD OF HOSTS, HE is the KING OF GLORY! Selah" [Psalms (Tehillym)
24. 7 - 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

May we ever thank YOU, our MAJESTIC LORD GOD, for sending YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH to be our only LOVING REDEEMER. And, may we ever revere,
glorify and honour YOUR HOLY EXALTED NAME with praise. We bow in the
presence of CHRIST JESUS OF NAZARETH, our WONDERFUL LORD, SAVIOR &
REDEEMER.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath - Queen of the week! Enjoy the blessed peace and joyous
harmony of Sabbath as you continually praise ALMIGHTY GOD and join with
family and friends.
"L'Shanah Tova U'Metukah — May your name be inscribed in the BOOK OF
LIFE!"

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Learn a lot from teachers, even more from your colleagues. . . and the
most from your pupils.

EMBLEMS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
"When JESUS had been baptized, HE came up immediately from the water;
and behold, the heavens were opened to HIM, and HE saw the SPIRIT OF GOD
descending like a dove and alighting upon HIM." [Matthew 3. 16]

There are several beautiful symbols of the HOLY SPIRIT in the NEW
COVENANT. The first is that of the Dove. It was the dove that was first
to assure Noah that the earth had risen out of the death waters of the
Great Flood, just as MESSIAH YESHUA rose out of the baptismal water and
the DOVE-like SPIRIT rested on HIM.

Water itself is an emblem of the HOLY SPIRIT in its cleansing capability
and life-sustaining virtue. The LORD JESUS said, "unless a man be born
of WATER and the SPIRIT, he cannot enter the KINGDOM OF GOD." [John 3.
5] This could also be translated "being born of water, even of the
SPIRIT." YESHUA, the ROCK of our salvation, promised "rivers of living
water" to those who believed on HIM, "but this HE spoke concerning the
SPIRIT, WHOM those believing in HIM would receive." [John 7. 38 - 39]

The HOLY SPIRIT is also called the "WIND" — WHO sometimes is as a
GENTLE BREEZE, sometimes a MIGHTY HURRICANE. "The wind blows where it
wishes, and you hear the sound of it but cannot tell where it comes from
or where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the SPIRIT." [John 3. 8]

John the Baptiser, said to those around YESHUA, "I indeed baptize you
with water; but ONE mightier than I is coming, WHOSE sandal strap I am
not worthy to loose. HE will baptize you with the HOLY SPIRIT and fire."
[Luke 3. 16] GOD, the HOLY SPIRIT is "a CONSUMING FIRE" [Hebrews 12.
29], gentle like a DOVE, the LIVING WATER; the BLOWING WIND, our
"COMFORTER" [John 14. 26], "the SPIRIT OF TRUTH" [John 14. 17], and "the
SPIRIT OF LIFE in MESSIAH YESHUA." [Romans 8. 2] Such a WONDERFUL
FRIEND is HE!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
The sword comes into the world because of justice being delayed, because
of justice being perverted, and because of those who render wrong
decisions. LORD, teach us to number our days and consider our latter
end!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Love should be a tree whose roots are deep in the earth, but whose
branches extend into heaven.

MARK & AVOID
"Now I urge you, brethren, mark those who cause divisions and offenses
contrary to the doctrine which you learned and avoid them. For those who
are such do not serve our LORD JESUS CHRIST, but their own belly; and by
smooth words and flattering speech deceive the hearts of the simple."
[Romans 16. 17 - 18]

"Who is the man who is eager for life, who desires years of good
fortune? Guard your tongue from evil, your lips from deceitful speech."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 12 - 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim] In Hebrew one would
say, Shmiras ha'Loshon — Guard your tongue. Then, to mark and avoid
such persons that do not, we must appropriately use the infallible
BIBLICAL standards for discernment and judgment.

Truth in judgment must be based on the doctrine which you acquired from
GOD'S HOLY WRITTEN WORD OF TRUTH. "For whoever speaks thus of the Law
and the message of testimony, if they do not speak according to this
WORD, it is because there is no light in them." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 8. 20
Tanakh, Nevi'im] "The LORD says — To such a one I will look: To him
who is poor and of a contrite (smitten, maimed, dejected) spirit, who is
concerned about MY WORD." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 66. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

False teachers and cults need to be marked and avoided for "someday they
shall cry to the LORD, but HE will not hear nor answer them; at that
time HE will even hide HIS face from them, in accordance to the evil
they have done. Thus says the LORD to the prophets who lead MY people
astray. You shall have darkness without divination; the sun shall go
down on the prophets, and the day shall be dark for them." [Micah
(Michah) 3. 4 - 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Therefore, "take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it
will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given. For
whoever has, to him more will be given; but whoever does not have, EVEN
WHAT HE HAS WILL BE TAKEN AWAY FROM HIM." [Mark 4. 24 - 25]

We must know and apply GOD'S WORD, the HOLY SCRIPTURES faithfully to our
lives. And, we must be like the Bereans who, when they heard new
teachings, "Received the WorD with all readiness, and searched the
SCRIPTURES daily to find out whether those things were so." [Acts 17.
11]

We cannot avoid the "offense of the cross" [Galatians 5. 11] for it
marks men as hell-deserving sinners. DO NOT BE DECEIVED!!! Our only
hope of salvation is a humble acknowledgment of MESSIAH LORD YESHUA, the
REJECTED CREATOR and ONLY REDEEMER. Know HiM as your personal SAVIOR &
KING WHO died for your sins, rose victoriously, and is coming back for
us to be with HIM forever!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Great and mighty are YOU, LORD GOD ALMIGHTY. The eternal truth is that
YOU alone are GOD, and there is none else. Through YOUR power alone has
Israel been redeemed from the hand of oppressors. YOU have done great
deeds in our behalf and wonders without number. YOU have kept us in
life, our footsteps have not faltered. YOUR love has watched over us in
the night of oppression; YOUR mercy has sustained us in the hour of
trial. And now that Israel is in the Promised Land YOU gave as an
inheritance, may we continue to be faithful to YOU and YOUR WORD. May
YOUR Law rule the life of all YOUR children and YOUR truth unite our
hearts in fellowship. O GOD, our REFUGE and our HOPE, we glorify YOUR
NAME now and forevermore. Redeem all YOUR children who are oppressed and
persecuted. Praised are YOU, O LORD, REDEEMER of Israel.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Wed 21 Sep 2011, 1:21 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Every act of kindness that GOD performs for man should make one feel not
proud, but more humble and unworthy.

WELL WITH MY SOUL
"Come and hear, all GOD-fearing men, as I declare what HE did for me; I
call aloud with glorification on my tongue." [Psalms (Tehillym) 66. 16 -
17 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

HOLY SCRIPTURE clearly teaches that "the person who sins, only he shall
die." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 18. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "All have sinned and
come short of the glory of GOD." [Romans 3. 23] We are left then, with
an insurmountable condition concerning our souls. "Look at my right hand
and see — I have no friend; no man that would know me. There is
nowhere I can flee, no one cares about me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 142. 4
Tanakh, Kethuvim] Our eternal soul is our single most valuable
possession, "For what shall it profit a man, if he gains the whole
world, and looses his own soul? Or what shall a man give in exchange for
his soul?" [Mark 8. 36 - 37]

"In GOD'S hand is every living soul and the breath of all mankind"
[Job/Iyob 12. 10] and HE is the ONE WHO cares for our soul. "Inasmuch
then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, HE HIMSELF took
part of the same; that through death HE might destroy him that had the
power of death, that is, the devil." [Hebrews 2. 14] "The redemption of
their soul is precious, the price of life is too high; and so it ceases,
forever. Shall HE live eternally and not see corruption of the grave?"
[Psalms (Tehillym) 49. 8 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The redemption of our soul cost "the precious blood of CHRIST, as of a
lamb without blemish and without spot." [1 Peter 1. 19] The soul that
disregarded and ignored the OLD COVENANT guidelines for the "Passover"
— which portrays the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA'S perfect once-for-all
atonement for the sins of the whole world, was "cut off." [Exodus/Shemot
12. 15] "But, we are not of them who draw back unto ruin of perdition;
but of those who believe to the saving of the soul." [Hebrews 10. 39]
"For we were like sheep going stray; but are now returned to the
SHEPHERD and OVERSEER of our souls." [1 Peter 2. 25]

The salvation of our soul is impossible with man, but with GOD
OMNIPOTENT, "all things are possible." Since I have been redeemed by the
blood of my LORD & SAVIOR, I am more then confident that it is well with
my soul. Therefore, my soul continues to exalt and bless the LORD GOD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Give glory to our GOD, the ROCK of our salvation! HIS deeds are perfect;
Yes, all HIS ways are just; a FAITHFUL GOD , never false, true and
upright is HE!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 24 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Tue 20 Sep 2011, 6:01 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Fear is the father of courage, the grandfather of humility, and the
patriarch of prayer.

TENT MAKER
"Speak to the Israelite people and instruct them to make for themselves
fringes on the corners of their garments throughout the ages; let them
attach a cord of blue to the fringe at each corner. That shall be your
fringe; look at it and recall all the commandments of the LORD and
observe them, so that you do not follow your heart and eyes in your
lustful urge. Thus you shall be reminded to observe all MY commandments
and to be holy to your GOD." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 15. 38 - 40 Tanakh,
Torah]

Jewish men use the Tallith (prayer shawl) to wrap themselves in during
their daily prayers and devotions. This is known as their "tent of
prayer." The Tallith and the fringe in each of its four corners is
artistically made. The fringe itself has a purpose in every strand,
wrapping, and knot. It is made by using eight strands precisely wrapped
plus the five knots at various positions to total 613, which is the
exact number of commandments in the TORAH. The LORD GOD instructed the
Israelite men to look at the fringe (Hebrew: tsitzith) and remember
(perform, obey, do, carry out) HIS commandments.

In HIS instructions, OMNIPOTENT GOD also required the children of Israel
to "put a cord of blue" in the fringe. This blue cord entwined in the
tsitzith (fringe, tassels, hem) is the heavenly colour to remind them of
the power and glory of the great GOD OF ISRAEL.

Paul was a tent maker working the same trade as Aquila and his wife
Priscilla. [Acts 18. 2 - 3] The occupation of a "tent maker" is that of
making of the "Tallith" or "prayer shawls." In Paul's time, people
lived in houses, not tents. The Bedouins, however, did live in tents,
but they made their own from the animals hides of their own flocks.
"Simon the Tanner, whose house was by the sea" was a familiar
individual, and he did work with hides, leather and furs. [Acts 10. 6]

Paul tells of his credentials: Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock
of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, was a Hebrew of the Hebrews
[Philippians 3. 4]; and was schooled concerning the Law, "at the feet of
Gamaliel taught according to the strictness of our fathers' Law, and was
zealous toward GOD." [Acts 22. 3] Paul added that he spent his youth
in Jerusalem, where he lived, "according to the strictest sect of our
religion I lived a Pharisee." [Acts 26. 4 - 5] Thus, Paul had fully
absorbed all knowledge of the Law, the customs and manners of the Jewish
people' thus, he would have legitimate expertise and knowledge for the
making of this very special item. The makings of the "tallith" was a
specifically gifted talent, as Jewish men were required to wear this
particular garment by the ALMIGHTY ONE HIMSELF.

Regarding the Tallith — MESSIAH YESHUA rebuked the religious leaders
for "enlarging the borders of their prayer garments (Tallith/Prayer
Shawl) to be seen of men." [Matthew 23. 5] "Woe to you, scribes and
Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed
appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men's bones and
all uncleanness. Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but
inside you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness. " [Matthew 23. 27 - 28]

In fact, CHRISTians today even have reminders to look at and remember
GOD'S commandments (plaques, jewelry of crosses, paintings, etc.). Man
looks on the outward appearance and judges, but that is not where true
righteousness is found. The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, on the other hand, sees
the attitude of the heart and that is what determines the approval or
disapproval of the LORD and the individual's final reward! For the
KING OF GLORY is our RIGHTEOUSNESS. Therefore, guard your heart and
glorify CREATOR GOD by living a life as one who overcomes by the "blood
of the LAMB" and by the "word of your testimony." [Revelation 12. 11]
May the WORD OF GOD be bound in your hearts and the CONTROLLER of your
lives!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
The LORD'S promise to HIS people — "As you behold, you will glow;
your heart will throb and thrill – for the abundance of the sea
shall be turned to you and the riches of nations shall flow to you.
Whereas you have been forsaken, rejected and hated, with none passing
through, I will make you a pride everlasting, a joy for age after age."
[Isaiah/Yeshayah 60. 5, 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Silence is the only successful substitute for brains. [Maurice Samuel]

DOCTRINE OF THE TRINITY
"When the HELPER comes, WHOM I shall send to you from the FATHER, the
SPIRIT OF TRUTH WHO proceeds from the FATHER, HE will testify of ME."
[John 15. 26]

There is only One GOD, yet three PERSONS: GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON,
GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT — each with HIS own distinct relation to
mankind; each equally, fully, and eternally GOD. Although these truths
are implicit throughout the NEW COVENANT, the Doctrine of the Trinity is
seldom, if ever, presented explicitly as a formal doctrine.

Many times SUPREME CREATOR called HIMSELF "the GOD of Abraham, the GOD
of Isaac, and the GOD of Jacob." HE seemed to love to reveal HIMSELF
through this NAME, and this is the revelation of the FATHER, SON and
HOLY SPIRIT. Abram means "the exalted father" who became Abraham, "the
father of a multitude." Isaac means "laughter" — he was the
promised son, the joy of his exalted father, Abram. Jacob is known as
the "heel grabber or supplanter" — the one who became Israel —
"a prince with GOD" and this speaks of the work of the HOLY SPIRIT.

There are several passages in the NEW COVENANT where all THREE PERSONS
of the GOD-head are mentioned in the same context, and each one deals
with a significant aspect of the CHRISTian life. First, is the
provision of salvation, "the blood of CHRIST, WHO through the ETERNAL
SPIRIT offered HIMSELF without spot to GOD." [Hebrews 9. 14]

Regeneration follows salvation. "And because you are sons, GOD has sent
forth the SPIRIT of HIS SON into your hearts, crying—ABBA FATHER."
[Galatians 4. 6] Salvation and regeneration are then publicly
testified in baptism "in the name of the FATHER, and of the SON, and of
the HOLY SPIRIT." [Matthew 28. 19]

The believer's prominent resource is prayer and this also involves all
THREE PERSONS. "For through MESSIAH we both have access by one SPIRIT
unto the FATHER." [Ephesians 2. 18] He must also continue to learn of
MESSIAH YESHUA, and to bear witness of HIM. "The HOLY SPIRIT, WHOM the
FATHER will send in MY NAME (JESUS), HE shall teach you all things. The
SPIRIT OF TRUTH, which proceeds from the FATHER, HE shall testify of ME;
and you also shall bear witness because you have been with ME from the
beginning." [John 14. 26 - 27]

We have eternal assurance in TRIUNE GOD'S promise: "The grace of
the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA and the love of GOD, and the communion of the
HOLY SPIRIT be with you all. Amen!" [2 Corinthians 13. 14] All power,
praise, honor and glory to the THREE-IN-ONE!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Psalms/Tehillym 83.1-5 says — GOD, do not be silent; do not be
distant; do not be quiet, O GOD! For YOUR enemies rage, those who hate
YOU exalt themselves. They plot craftily against YOUR people, take
counsel against YOUR treasured ones. They say—Let us wipe them out
as a nation; Israel's name will be mentioned no more. — Yet we are
confident that, HE WHO keeps Israel neither slumbers or sleeps! Truly,
there is none like YOU, O LORD GOD.? YOU are glorious in holiness,
revered in worship, wondrous in all YOUR works! There is none like YOU,
infinite is YOUR power, so is YOUR love.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 24 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sun 18 Sep 2011, 6:13 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When we know WHO holds the future, then whatever comes, even the worst
is transformed into a blessing.

THE LORD'S HAND
"That Ezra (son of Seraiah) came up from Babylon, a scribe expert in the
LAW OF MOSES which the LORD GOD OF ISRAEL had given, whose request the
king had granted in its entirety, thanks to the benevolence of the LORD
his GOD toward him." [Ezra 7. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Neither Ezra the skilled scribe nor Nehemiah, the kings' butler were
prepared either by study or experience to supervise the great
construction project of rebuilding the Temple in Jerusalem and the wall
of the City which had both been destroyed many years before by the
armies of Babylon. Yet OMNISCIENT GOD called them to these ministries
and led them and protected them as they carried out the appointed
duties.

Ezra and Nehemiah gave the ALMIGHTY EXALTED ONE the glory for what they
accomplished. Ezra reminded his readers six times and Nehemiah twice,
that it was by the hand of the LORD their GOD that they were able to
properly supervise the work for such a great task. [Ezra 7. 6, 9, 28; 8.
18 – 22, 31; Nehemiah/Nechemah 2. 8, 18] Regardless of the many
difficulties and through much opposition by their foes, it was by the
hand of GoD that all HE pleased, HE accomplished through HIS chosen
servants. "You shall be a glorious crown in the hand of the LoRd, and a
royal diadem in the palm of your God." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 62. 3 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] "The hand of the LORD shall be revealed in behalf of HIS
servants; but HE shall rage against HIS foes." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 66. 14
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Likewise, we must be careful to give all honour, glory and praise to the
OMNIPOTENT SUPREME LORD & KING for the things HE enables and allows us
to accomplish in HIS service. Even such a great and powerful man of
God, like the Apostle Paul had to say, "But by the grace of GoD I am
what I am, and HiS grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more
abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of GoD which was with
me." [1 Corinthians 15. 10] And — "If GoD is for us, who can be
against us?" [Romans 8. 31]

The hand of the LORD can also be a chastening hand as well as a guiding
and providing hand. But the greatest desire of the ROCK OF OUR
SALVATION is that "all the peoples of the earth shall know how mighty is
the hand of the LORD, that you shall fear the LORD your GoD always."
[Joshua (Yehoshua) 4. 24 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Because, "It is a fearful
thing to fall into the hands of the livinG God." [Hebrews 10. 31]
Therefore, find comfort for your entire life in the center of HIS
nail-pierced hands.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer is that GOD, WHO separates the
holy from the secular, forgive our sins, guide our life, fill our
upcoming week with HIS DIVINE PRESENCE.
HEAVENLY FATHER, thank YOU for YOUR love and compassion. In YOUR HOLY
PRESENCE, there is total freedom of the soul through obedience to YOUR
commands. Our hearts are gladdened and blessed through the inspiration
to lead holier lives. Strengthen us, O GOD, and grant new courage, new
faith, and may YOUR POWER descend upon us and upon all who strive to do
YOUR will and to fulfill YOUR bountiful purposes. May some of the
sweetness of Sabbath be experienced daily. Tov Shavua — Have a good
week!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When the ALMIGHTY ONE punished the wicked, HIS NAME is made great and
holy (sanctified) . [Mechilta, Kiddush ha'Shem]
Yigdal sh'mo umalkhuto ("May HIS NAME and Kingdom grow.")

STILL HE WALKED
HE could hear the multitude screaming
"Crucify! Crucify!"
— HE could hear the hatred in their voices,
these were HIS Chosen People.

HE loved them and they were going to crucify HIM.
HE was beaten, bleeding and weakened —
HIS heart was broken,
but still HE walked.

HE surveyed the crowd as HE came from the palace.
HE knew each of the faces so well, HE had created them.
HE knew every smile, their laughter, and each tear shed,
but now they were contorted with rage and anger —
HIS heart was broken,
but still HE walked.

Was HE afraid?
You and I would have been so.
HIS humanness would have mandated that HE was.
Instead, HE knew what HE came to do!
HE knowingly did all for humanity.

HIS disciples had left, denied, and even betrayed HIM.
HE searched the crowd for a loving face, but saw few.
Then HE turned HIS eyes to the ONLY ONE that mattered
and HE was assured that this was HIS FATHER'S will.

HE looked back at the crowd,
at the people who were spitting on HIM,
throwing rocks and mocking HIM,
and HE knew it was for them that HE came.
So for them, HE walked.

Deafening sounds of the hammer striking the spikes
echoed triumphantly through the crowd.
However, HIS cries were even more prominent
then the cheers of the crowd.
HIS hands and feet were nailed to the rugged cross
as pain intensified with each blow.
Loudest of all was the still small voice inside HIS heart
that whispered, "I am with YOU, MY SON!"
— and GOD'S heart broke —
HE had let HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON walk.

YESHUA, the MESSIAH could have asked GOD to end HIS suffering,
but instead, HE asked GOD to "Forgive!"
Not to forgive HIM,
but to forgive the ones who were persecuting HIM.
As HE hung on that cross dying an unimaginable death,
HE looked out and saw, not only the faces in the mob,
but HE could see the face of every person HE was dying for,
and HIS heart filled with love.

Although HIS body was dying,
HIS heart was alive —
— ALIVE with immeasurable,
unconditional love HE has for each of us.
That is why HE walked.

When I forget how much my GOD loves me,
I remember HIS walk.
When I wonder if I can, without doubt, truly be forgiven,
I remember HIS walk.
When I need reminded of how to live like MESSIAH YESHUA did,
I think of HIS walk.
So, to express how much I love HIM,
when I wake each morning, I turn my eyes to HIM,
— and I walk.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Come my dear friend...let us go out to meet the Sabbath Queen! Come, O
Bride, the Sabbath presence is eagerly awaited, and joyously welcomed!
Hate the evil acts of the wicked, but do not hate the people
themselves. Every person is worthy of being cherished by virtue of being
created in the image of the ALL-TOGETHER LOVELY ONE. Therefore, we
cannot hate another person. Rather, our love for the ALMIGHTY GOD should
be so deeply internalized, that from this love we hate evil deeds. By
hating the wicked action alone, you elevate yourself because you are
increasing your love for the HOLY CREATOR, by obeying HIS commands.
Have a peace-filled Sabbath.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
He who learns from the old, to what is he like? ...To one who eats ripe
grapes and drinks old wine.

THE WORD & THE SPIRIT
"Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the SPIRIT which
is of GOD; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of
GOD." [1 Corinthians 2. 12]

Some people are animated only by the spirit of the world, so when they
read a BIBLICAL passage they find it tedious, confusing, or even
foolish. They are filled with "the spirit that now works in the children
of disobedience. " [Ephesians 2. 2] However, those who are indwelled by
the SPIRIT OF GOD, received the HOLY SPIRIT when they trusted in YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH for forgiveness of their sins for salvation. And when they
read HOLY SCRIPTURES, they receive great understanding and blessings.

GOD, the HOLY SPIRIT is the ONE WHO inspired all the SACRED SCRIPTURES
and "holy men of GOD spoke as they were moved on by the HOLY SPIRIT" to
write it down. "All SCRIPTURE is given by inspiration of GOD" [2
Timothy 3. 16] — that is, "GOD breathed" so the "BREATH OF GOD" is
the "HOLY SPIRIT." The Apostle Paul said, "We speak, not in the words
which man's wisdom teaches, but which the HOLY SPIRIT teaches." [1
Corinthians 2. 13]

"And when HE (the HOLY SPIRIT, COMFORTER, HELPER) has come, HE will
convict the world of SIN, and of RIGHTEOUSNESS, and of JUDGMENT: Of sin,
because they do not believe in ME. Of righteousness, because I go to MY
FATHER and you see ME no more. Of judgment, because the ruler of this
world is judged." [John 16. 8 - 11] It is, therefore, the HOLY SPIRIT
WHO indwells each believer to illumine, confirm and apply the WORD OF
GOD to the individual who reads or hears with his heart. "The natural
man does not receives the things of the SPIRIT OF GOD, for they are
foolishness to him; nor can he know them because they are spiritually
discerned." [1 Corinthians 2. 14] However, the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA
promised HIS disciples that "when HE, the SPIRIT OF TRUTH, is come, HE
will guide you into all truth." [John 16. 13]

The LORD JESUS is faithful to do this through the HOLY WRIT HE inspired.
And, we receive blessings in abundance as we study them prayerfully,
then believing and obeying the words HE taught us for they are our
LIFE'S BREAD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
May it be YOUR will, LORD our GOD and GOD of our fathers, MERCIFUL KING,
in YOUR abundant love, again to have mercy on us and on YOUR Sanctuary,
rebuild it speedily and magnify YOUR glory! Blessed are YOU, WHO in YOUR
glory gives life and light to the whole world. For YOUR great goodness
and endless mercies, we give YOU thanks, praise and glory.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Man's true relationship with GOD is shown by his actions as HIS
WONDERFUL MESSAGE, the DEAREST TREASURE of the human race is shared with
others and spread throughout the lands.

EXALTED NAME
"Let all those who seek You be glad and rejoice in You; let those who
are eager for Your deliverance always say— ELOHIYM be extolled and
magnified!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 70. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Unfortunately, we live in a day when people tend to worship heroes,
sports idols, or charismatic political and spiritual leaders instead of
GOD MOST HIGH. This verse, however honors the LORD GOD in sincerity, and
is a terrific one for those who are true followers of the GREATEST HERO,
the ONE WHO defeated Satan, the arch-enemy of our soul.

It is a dangerous thing to overly magnify any man or woman and follow
them explicitly, for it is Creator GOD Who alone is worthy of our
praise, honour and glory. We should magnify the ETERNAL ONE and HIS
WORD. "The LORD desires righteousness for His servants; He will exalt
and magnify and glorify His Teachings." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 21
Tanakh, Nevi'im] There are those who, in this Age of Grace, play down
the importance of GOD'S Law, but HIS desire and command is for us to
magnify it.

In fact, this statement is true of all Scripture: "You have exalted and
magnified Your Name, Your WORD, above all." [Psalms (Tehillym) 138. 2
Tanakh, Kethuvim] The NAME and Promises of the MOST HIGH are above all
things. Some accuse BIBLE-believing CHRIST-followers of putting HOLY
SCRIPTURES on too high a pedestal, but this is impossible! We could
never magnify GOD'S WORD as much as GOD HIMSELF does. We, therefore,
magnify the LORD when we magnify HIS WORD. "Let all those who seek YOU
rejoice and be glad in YOU; let such as love YOUR salvation say
continually — The LORD be magnified!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 40. 16
Tanakh, Kethuvim] "May those who desire My vindication sing forth
joyously; may they always say — Magnified and extolled be the LORD
Who desires the well-being of His servant." [Psalms (Tehillym) 35. 27
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

King David said, "Oh magnify the LORD with me, and let us extol HIS NAME
together." [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Let the GENTLE
SHEPHERD be extravagantly exalted, glorified, praised, and respectfully
worshiped. Joy too wonderful for words will flood your very being!

Oh, the goodness of GOD WHO spreads abroad such loveliness to all the
corners of this sin-cursed earth! What must HE be preparing in heaven
for HIS OWN children? It seems to me that one could not bear more
beauty, our capacity must be increased as it will be so much more
glorious then imaginable. . . for we shall be like HIM! Yet that is the
promise, to be like the very CREATOR of beauty.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Open your mouth in holiness and purity, with song and psalm, and bless
and praise, glorify and revere, sanctify and ascribe sovereignty to the
NAME of the DIVINE KING, the GREAT, MIGHTY & AWESOME ONE, holy is HE.
Take upon yourself the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven and give sanction
to one another to bless the CREATOR. In tranquil joy of spirit, with
pure speech and holy melody exclaim: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD OF
HOSTS, the whole earth is full of HIS glory."

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Wed 14 Sep 2011, 2:36 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A person who aims at nothing has a target he cannot miss.

HYSSOP
"Purge me with hyssop till I am pure; wash me till I am whiter than
snow." [Psalms (Tehillym) 51. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Hyssop is the plant that penicillin was first found in. HOLY SCRIPTURE
speaks of this plant in both the OLD & NEW COVENANTS. The man healed
of leprosy was to go the priest "then the priest shall command to take
for him who is to be cleansed two living and clean birds, cedar wood,
scarlet, and hyssop." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 14. 4 Tanakh, Torah] The
priest would kill one bird in a vessel over running water. The living
bird, the cedar wood, the scarlet and the hyssop and dip them in the
blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. Then, the
priest would sprinkle the blood on the leprous man seven times,
pronounce him clean, then let the living bird loose in an open field.
[Leviticus/Vayikra 14. 1 - 7]

The "Two Clean Birds" depict the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, WHO is the
GOD-MAN. "Cedar" depicts imperishable existence; "Scarlet" — the
emblem of life; and "Hyssop" represents purification from defilement.
The cedar and hyssop also symbolize types of all nature, from the
highest to the lowest. All these symbols picture the death and
resurrection of our REDEEMING SAVIOR for "whosoever will" come to HIM.

David's prayer was that the ETERNAL ONE would cleanse him of his sin of
murder (of Uriah the Hittite) and adultery (with Uriah's wife,
Bathsheba). "Have mercy upon me, O GOD, as befits YOUR loving-kindness
and faithfulness; in keeping with YOUR abundant compassion, blot out my
transgressions. Wash me thoroughly of my iniquity, and cleanse me from
my sin. Hide YOUR face from my sins, blot out all my iniquities. Fashion
a clean, pure heart for me, O GOD, and renew within me a steadfast
spirit." [Psalms (Tehillym) 51. 1 - 2, 9 - 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

On Golgotha's Cross, the LORD JESUS, knowing that all things were now
accomplished, that the SCRIPTURE might be fulfilled, said—"I
thirst!" HE was then given a sour wine on hyssop. When it was put to
HIS mouth, all prophecy to the point of HIS death was fulfilled. When
Yeshua the SACRIFICIAL LAMB OF GOD received the sour wine, HE said—
"It is finished!" Then bowing HIS head, YESHUA gave up HIS spirit.
[John 19. 28 - 30]

Whoever touches death (result of sin) or was unclean must now come to
the LORD JESUS for cleansing, HE is ever our CONTINUAL OFFERING. "For
GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS only begotten SON, that whoever
believes in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life. He who
believes in the SON has everlasting life; and he who does not believe
the SON shall not see life, but the wrath of GOD abides on him." [John
3. 15 - 16, 36]

Although penicillin can help alleviate or actually eliminate some
diseases, it cannot treat or cure us from sin. However, the precious
cleansing blood of the YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is the ONLY SOURCE — the
PERFECT REMEDY — it will never lose it's cleansing, saving power.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Through the common days flow the refreshing waters of GOD'S
loving-kindness, yet we forget THE SOURCE. May this hour awaken within
us a sense of our dependence upon YOU. Create in us a clean heart and
renew a right spirit within us that we may face our daily duty with a
firm courage and a tranquil mind. May we learn to know that in loving
and serving our fellowmen, we are loving and serving YOU. O come! O come
IMMANU'EL!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The Eternal People of the Book are the Jews, through whom the ALMIGHTY
ONE gave the HOLY SCRIPTURES to the world.

OUR BLESSINGS IN MESSIAH
"For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have
a building from GOD, a house not made with hands, eternal in the
heavens." [2 Corinthians 5. 1]

The blessings we have in YESHUA ha'MASHIACH are far too vast and
numerous to calculate, but it is a blessing to retell a few. First,
"In HIM (our BELOVED SAVIOR) we have redemption through HIS blood, the
forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of HIS grace." [Ephesians
1. 7] As a result, "being justified by faith, we have peace with GOD
through our LORD JESUS CHRIST." [Romans 5. 1]

GOD'S PRECIOUS WORD assures us of salvation through these promises.
"These things I have written to you who believe in the NAME of the SON
OF GOD, that you may know that you have eternal life." [1 John 5. 13] A
greater assurance is given by the witness of the SPIRIT OF GOD WHO
indwells our bodies when we believe on the LORD JESUS, THE ROCK of our
salvation, THE ROCK of our strength. "You have received the SPIRIT of
adoption, whereby we cry — ABBA, FATHER." [Romans 8. 15]

There are many other blessings that are ours in the MESSIAH YESHUA, "we
have obtained an inheritance" [Ephesians 1. 11] for we are joint-heirs
with JESUS, the TRUE VINE; YESHUA, our REFUGE. GOD OMNIPOTENT confirmed
HIS promises in the book of Hebrews when HE declare, "we might have
strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set
before us. This HOPE we have as an ANCHOR of the soul, both sure and
steadfast, and which enters THE PRESENCE behind the veil." [Hebrews 6.
18 - 19] "We have a GREAT HIGH PRIEST WHO has passed through the
heavens, JESUS, the SON OF GOD." [Hebrews 4. 14] And HE is ever-living
"to make intercession" for us at the THRONE OF GOD. [Hebrews 7. 25]

Ultimately, when our ALL-WISE & LOVING MASTER CREATOR calls us home, "we
have a building of GOD, a house not made with hands, eternal in the
heavens." And we will "be present with the LORD" throughout the ages to
come. [2 Corinthians 5. 8] There are countless treasures awaiting us,
but the greatest of all is — we have forgiveness of sins; we have
the LORD YESHUA, the PRINCE OF PEACE in our lives now and we will be
with HIM forevermore. HalleluYAH!! !

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
"Yehowah bless you and keep you;
Yehowah make HIS face shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
Yehowah lift up HIS countenance upon you, and give you shalom
(peace)." Numbers 6:24-27

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
What isn't said between people is also heard.

WHO-SO-EVER WILL
"Whosoever invokes the NAME OF THE LORD shall escape; for there shall be
a remnant on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem, as the LORD promised, and the
remnant whom the LORD shall call will be among the survivors." [Joel
(Yoel) 2. 32 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"GOD is no respecter of persons." [Acts 10. 34] Yet in the "whosoever"
passage of the OLD COVENANT, it is clear that those who "call on the
NAME OF THE LORD" were the same as the remnant whom the LORD called.
Those who call on GOD MOST HIGH have first been called by the ALMIGHTY
ONE. HE accepts all who call on HIM from every nation. But, "How shall
they call on HIM of WHOM they have not heard?" [Romans 10. 14] The HOLY
SPIRIT, through Peter, quoted this passage in his great sermon on the
Day of Pentecost (Shavuoth), "And it shall come to pass that whosoever
shall call on the NAME OF THE LORD shall be saved." [Acts 2. 21]

Peter was still speaking only to Jews, but they had assembled at
Jerusalem "out of every nation under heaven." [Acts 2. 5] Paul then
made it plain that "whosoever" applied to everyone when he also quoted
Joel. "For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same
LORD over all is rich to all who call upon HIM. For whoever calls on the
NAME OF THE LORD shall be saved." [Romans 10. 12 - 13] The LORD YESHUA
says— "Who-so-ever desires, let him take the WATER of LIFE freely."
[Revelation 22. 17]

Who-so-ever will may come because the LOVING CREATOR inclined HIS ear to
HIS people! So take up the CUP OF SALVATION and call upon the NAME OF
THE LORD! [Psalms/Tehillym 116. 2, 13] The LORD JESUS CHRIST patiently
waits for you, and invites you— Come now! What a DELIGHTFUL LOVING
SAVIOR we serve!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
We gratefully acknowledge, O LORD our GREAT GOD, that YOU are our
CREATOR and PRESERVER, THE ROCK of our life, our SALVATION, and THE
SHIELD of our help. We give thanks to YOU for our lives which are in
YOUR nail-pierced hands, for our souls which are ever in YOUR keeping,
for YOUR wondrous providence and YOUR never-failing goodness, which YOU
impart to us day by day. Truly, YOUR mercies never fail and YOUR
loving-kindness never ceases. Therefore, we forever put our trust in
YOU. Blessed are YOU, O LORD our GOD.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Sat 10 Sep 2011, 2:44 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Experience is a great teacher, but the tuition is your life.

JUDGING OTHERS
"Judge not, that you be not judged." [Matthew 7. 1]

This is a warning "not to judge" more than a commandment for we will
receive "measure for measure." It continues, "For with what judgment
you judge, you will be judged; and with the same measure you use, it
will be measured back to you." [Matthew 7. 2]

At the same time it does not relieve us from the responsibility of
evaluating the beliefs and practices of others. We are to be careful to
whom we listen, "Do not listen to the words of the prophets who prophesy
to you. They are deluding you, making you worthless. The prophecies they
speak are from their own minds, NOT from the mouth of the LORD."
[Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 23. 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Discernment is a vitally
essential gift of the HOLY SPIRIT needed by every believer to help us
recognize deceptive doctrines.

The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA warned— "BEWARE! of false prophets, which
come to you in sheep's clothing" in addition to teaching us to "judge
not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment." [Matthew
7. 6, 15 & John 7. 24]

Obedience to such commandments obviously requires one to make a judgment
as to whether they are real or false. The HOLY SCRIPTURES are the only
source to determine truth and error, right and wrong: "For the WORD OF
GOD is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword,
piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and
marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
[Hebrews 4. 12] "You shall not render an unfair decision: do not favor
the poor or show deference to the rich; judge your kinsman fairly."
[Leviticus (Vayikra) 19. 15 Tanakh, Torah] "YEHOWAH ELOHEY charged the
judges — Consider what you are doing, for you judge not on behalf of
man, but on behalf of the LORD, and HE is with you when you pass
judgment." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 19. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty,
for judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy
triumphs over judgment." [James 2. 12 - 13]

In the KINGDOM OF MESSIAH, perfect judgment will be made. "HE has
appointed a day on which HE will judge the world in righteousness by the
MAN whom HE has ordained. HE has given assurance of this to all by
raising HIM from the dead." [Acts 17. 31] "HE shall sense the truth by
HIS reverence for the LORD. HE shall not judge by what HIS eyes behold,
nor decide by what HIS ears perceive. Thus HE shall judge the poor with
equity and righteousness and decide with justice for the lowly of the
land. HE shall strike down the ruthless with the rod of HIS mouth and
slay the wicked with the breath of HIS lips. Justice shall be the girdle
of HIS loins, and faithfulness the girdle of HIS waist." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 11. 3 - 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The LORD JESUS, the ANOINTED HOLY ONE, calls us to be fruit inspectors
— not condemning with critical self-righteous attitudes. "A good
tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, nor can a corrupt tree bring forth
good fruit...Wherefore by their fruits you shall know them." [Matthew 7.
18, 20] "Test all things; hold fast what is good." [1 Thessalonians 5.
21] Test by using the LIVING WORD and compare the Fruit of the Spirit
against the fruit of the flesh produced in the individual, these serve
as the best basis for valid judgment. But beyond these, judge not!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! -- Celebrating MESSIAH YESHUA, LORD of the Sabbath.
Come, my dear friend, enjoy a Kedushat Shevi'it (Sabbath of holiness).
Open your hearts in song as the sunset swells into a rhythm of changing
colours; see, the LORD is good to those who trust in HIM and wait for
HIM, to the ones who seek HIM.
HEAVENLY FATHER accept our rest and on this Sabbath Day renew us for
YOUR good and bless us with YOUR joy and gladness. Blessed are YOU, our
LORD GOD, WHO sanctifies the Sabbath, Israel and all who love YOUR
PRECIOUS SON, JESUS our RISEN SAVIOR, the GLORIOUS KING, WHO gives true
Sabbath peace & rest.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Your spiritual duties must be your own hearts actions.

OUR HELPER, OUR TEACHER
"The HELPER, the HOLY SPIRIT, WHOM the FATHER will send in MY NAME, HE
will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that
I said to you." [John 14. 26]

The INDWELLING HOLY SPIRIT is the best TEACHER, HE is our own special,
personal MASTER INSTRUCTOR-MASTER COUNSELOR. "The natural man does not
receive the things of the SPIRIT OF GOD, for they are foolishness to
him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned." [1
Corinthians 2. 14] Therefore, we are to study to show our selves
approved so the GUIDING COMFORTER can call to our remembrance ALMIGHTY
GOD'S TRUTH, that you do what is written.

We who ETERNAL GOD'S has called and chosen, know that it is essential
and required both to DO HIS will and KNOW HIM. As we read and meditate
on the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD, the HOLY SPIRIT brings understanding to our
mind. Then moment-by-moment brings awareness as HE remains at our side
guiding our daily lives as we allow HIM to lead us.

"The HOLY SPIRIT also witnesses to us; for after HE had said before,
this is The Covenant that I will make with them after those days, says
the LORD I will put MY Laws into their hearts, and in their minds I
will write them." [Hebrews 10. 15 - 16] But, we must study to show
ourselves approved, "Be diligent to present yourself approved to GOD, a
worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the WORD OF
TRUTH." [2 Timothy 2. 15]

"The ANOINTING (HOLY SPIRIT) which you have received from HIM abides in
you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same
ANOINTING (THE COMFORTER) teaches you concerning all things, and is
true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in
HIM." [1 John 2. 27] Through HIS blessed HOLY SPIRIT, GOD THE DESIGNER,
reveals HIMSELF "Now we have received, not the spirit of the
world, but the SPIRIT WHO is from GOD, that we might know the things
that have been freely given to us by GOD. These things we also speak,
not in words which man's wisdom teaches but which the HOLY SPIRIT
teaches, comparing spiritual things with spiritual." [1 Corinthians 2.
12 - 13]

"But as it is written Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have
entered into the heart of man the things which GOD has prepared for
those who love HIM. But GOD has revealed them to us through HIS
SPIRIT. For the SPIRIT searches all things, yes, the deep things of GOD.
For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man
which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of GOD except the
SPIRIT OF GOD." [1 Corinthians 2. 9 - 11]

"Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of GOD!
How unsearchable are HIS judgments and HIS ways past finding out!"
[Romans 11. 33] As we truly seek HIM, HE delights in showing HIMSELF
to us. And, there is such sweet, rich joy in knowing and serving the
LORD GOD, CREATOR & KING!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
We praise YOU, MOST HOLY GOD and ask that YOUR SWEET SPIRIT be manifest
to us in all YOUR works, so that reverence for YOU may fill the hearts
of YOUR creatures. May all the children of men bow before YOU in
humility and unite to do YOUR will with one heart, that all may
acknowledge that YOURS alone is the power, dominion and majesty; and
that YOUR NAME is exalted above all.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Much experience is the crown of the old men and the fear of ALMIGHTY GOD
is their glory.

INFINITELY GOD
"And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the
earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard
saying— Blessing and honour and glory and power be to HIM WHO sits
on the Throne, and to the LAMB, forever and ever! Amen" [Revelation 5.
13]

The BELOVED LAMB is one with, and yet distinct from "HIM that sat on the
throne." [Revelation 4. 10; 5. 1, 6 - 7] The Four Beasts or Living
Creatures, and the 24-Elders "fell down before the LAMB" to worship HIM.
If, as cultists maintain, the ANOINTED LAMB OF GOD is less than the
OMNIPOTENT CREATOR, how would violating of the first commandment, "You
shall have no other gods before ME" [Exodus/Shemot 20. 3] be tolerated
in ALMIGHTY GOD'S OMNIPOTENT PRESENCE? The answer: YESHUA ha'MASHIACH
is the INVINCIBLE, SUPREME GOD OF HEAVEN — WHO is ONE with HIM (GOD
THE FATHER) WHO sat on the Throne!

Worship is given to GOD THE FATHER: "Amen! Blessing and glory and
wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our GOD
forever and ever. Amen" [Revelation 7. 12]

Worship is given to GOD THE SON: MESSIAH YESHUA receives the same praise
given to GOD THE FATHER — "Worthy is the LAMB WHO was slain to
receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory
and blessing!" [Revelation 5. 12]

"I am the LORD, that is MY NAME; and I will not yield MY glory to
another." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "For MY sake, MY
own sake, do I act — lest MY NAME be dishonored! I will not give MY
glory to another." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 48. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im] In view
of the fact that the LORD JESUS shares in GOD'S glory; HE cannot be
another GOD. The LORD YESHUA is, as HE said—"ONE (Hebrew: echad
— a compound unity) with the FATHER." [John 10. 30]

This does not, in any way, diminish the praise and honor due the FATHER.
HE is to be worshipped and praised for loving us so very much that HE
commissioned the SON (MESSIAH YESHUA) to save sinners. The SON (JESUS)
said — "all men should honor the SON, even as they honor the
FATHER." [John 5. 23]

The human personality is difficult to understand, much less the complex
intricacy of GOD ALMIGHTY being infinitely more so. The TRI-UNITY OF
GOD is so revealed throughout HOLY SCRIPTURES as the EVER-LIVING ONE
proclaims HIMSELF as GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON and GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT
— Perfect TRINITY.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
It has been shown that all might know that the LORD, HE is GOD, there is
none other. HE alone does wonders, for HIS mercy endures forever. The
glory of the LORD is eternal, the LORD rejoices in HIS works. Blessed be
the NAME OF THE LORD from this time forth and forever. For out of Zion
goes forth the Law and the WORD OF GOD from Jerusalem.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Israel's mission is to teach the nations of the world that GOD is
THE SOURCE of all blessings. [Samson Raphael Hirsch]

FRUITLESS FUTILITY
"Now the next day, when they had come out from Bethany, HE (YESHUA) was
hungry. And seeing from afar a fig tree having leaves, HE went to see if
perhaps HE would find something on it. When HE came to it, HE found
nothing but leaves, for it was not the season for figs. In response
JESUS said to it — Let no one eat fruit from you ever again." [Mark
11. 12 - 14] "And immediately the fig tree withered away." [Matthew 21.
19]

Being hungry and knowing quite well that the fig tree produces fruit at
the same time it bears leaves, YESHUA was looking for fruit to satisfy
HIS hunger. Finding the tree replete with leaves, but not bearing
fruit, HE cursed it for it showed signs of maturity but there was
nothing to harvest.

Thus, MESSIAH used the barren fig tree to teach his disciples something
they desperately needed to know, for they heard THE MASTER curse the
fruitless tree.

The LORD had just come from HIS triumphant entry into the City having
been proclaimed as KING by the multitude [Mark 11. 7 - 11], knowing
their shallow adoration would soon turn into cries for HIS death.
Leaving the fig tree, Yeshua drove the money changers from the Temple
again as He had done in the earlier part of HIS ministry. [John 2. 14 -
15] MESSIAH YESHUA knew the money changers were not only exploiting all
the Jews who entered the Temple, but had taken over the court of the
Gentiles, using it as a place of business, denying the possibility of
true worship to all, both Jews and Gentiles.

The fig tree was the living parable, an object lesson on barrenness,
typifying the Jewish nation's condition in spite of their privileged
heritage. This type of hypocritical fruitlessness receives greater
condemnation [Mark 11. 20 - 21], exhibits a lack of faith [Mark 11. 22 -
23], and hinders our prayers. [Mark 11. 24 - 26]

The zeal of MESSIAH used the lesson of the fig tree to teach— "Do
you consider this House, which bears by MY NAME, to be a den of thieves
in your eyes?" [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 7. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "MY House
shall be called a HOUSE OF PRAYER for all nations." [Mark 11. 17] May
our desire be to bear much fruit in our worship, our faith, our conduct,
our prayers, and in all our lives.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O Come! Let us adore HIM! Praised are YOU, O LORD, the HOLY ETERNAL
GOD. We render thanks to YOU that YOU sanctified us through YOUR WORD
through which we gain freedom of the soul which comes through obedience
to YOUR commandments.
May ALMIGHTY GOD'S love and peace shine out of each of us...as we
bow in adoration before the KING OF GLORY. . .

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
It's not the load that breaks you down…it's the way you carry it.

THE CHOSEN
"But we are bound to give thanks to GOD always for you, brethren beloved
by the LORD, because GOD from the beginning chose you for salvation
through sanctification by the SPIRIT and belief in the truth, to which
HE called you by our gospel, for the obtaining of the glory of our LORD
JESUS CHRIST." [2 Thessalonians 2. 13 - 14]

The ALMIGHTY ONE blessed be HE, has established an order for HIS
great plan of salvation. GOD OMNIPOTENT had chosen these Thessalonian
believers to salvation even before they were born, for it was from the
beginning. Then HE called them and they heard the GOSPEL, believed the
truth, and were sanctified (set apart) by the Precious HOLY SPIRIT OF
GOD, eventually destined to be glorified in Messiah Yeshua.

To accomplish this, the HOLY SPIRIT used human messengers. In a vision,
the MASTER directed Paul to go to Macedonia to preach the GOSPEL [Acts
16. 9] where he eventually reached Thessalonica and taught the Truth to
those he found in the Synagogue. However, of the many who were "called"
as Paul preached and taught, only "some of them were persuaded" and
believed and obey. [Acts 17. 4] However, most of Paul's listeners had
not been "chosen" so they resisted the "call" and refused to believe.
As the LORD JESUS said "Many are called, but few chosen, so the
last will be first, and the first last." [Matthew 20. 16]

Such a truth may be difficult to understand with our finite minds, but
like Paul "we are bound to give thanks to GOD always" that we who
believe today, like the Thessalonian believers, have been both "chosen
in HIM before the foundations of the world" [Ephesians 1. 4], and
"called you out of darkness into HIS marvelous light." [1 Peter 2. 9]

As true priests of the LIVING GOD, we have been chosen, called,
committed (to the ministry), cleansed, clothed (with holy garments),
consecrated, christened (anointed), conformed and commissioned (assigned
duties). As we, the Royal Priests in the NEW COVENANT, march through
earth's wilderness, let us truly be called out from the world, cleansed,
clothed, consecrated and commissioned with the ANOINTING OIL upon each
of us. Each one performing the assigned task as the MOST HIGH GOD has
given it to them; each bearing the TRUE TESTIMONY of the "precious
things" witnessing in thought, word and deed that we are Tabernacles of
the LOVING MASTER showing forth HIS POWER, PRESENCE, and MIRACULOUS
LIFE!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE
dwells within us, bless you abundantly and guard you, our dear ones in
the coming week. May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be present
throughout each day so they are filled with love and unselfishness -
that happiness and contentment may abide in our homes. In tranquil joy
of spirit, with pure speech and holy melody exclaim: "Holy, holy, holy
is the LORD OF HOSTS, the whole earth is full of HIS glory!"

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

SHINING FACES
"So Moses came down from Mount Sinai. And as Moses came down from the
mountain bearing the two tablets of the Testimony, Moses was not aware
that the skin of his face was radiant, since he had spoken with HIM
(ELOHEY)." [Exodus (Shemot) 34. 29 Tanakh, Torah]

For forty days and nights, Moses had been alone with CREATOR GOD in
simple communion and getting the tablets with the Ten Commandments.
When he descended from Mount Sinai, the glory of GOD was so radiant from
his countenance, that people could not bear to look at Moses face, so he
covered his face with a veil so he could speak with the Israelite
people.

A similar experience occurred at the official tribunal of Stephen when
the council of Jewish leaders questioned him in regards to his CHRISTian
testimony, "And all who sat in the council, looking steadfastly at him,
saw his face as the face of an angel." [Acts 6. 15]

As we spend time with our wonderful LOVING GOD, we too should obtain a
different expression and sweet aromas should bear witness that we have
been with the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA. This is one of HIS promises, that
when we spend time in GOD'S WORD which is alive with the LIGHT OF HIS
GLORY. "But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the
glory of the LORD, are being transformed into the same image from glory
to glory, just as by the SPIRIT OF THE LORD." [2 Corinthians 3. 18]

The GRACIOUS REDEEMER will "cause HIS face to shine upon us." HE will
"be merciful and gracious to us; and bless us by showing us favor"
[Psalms/Tehillym 67. 1] by enabling us to "become blameless and
harmless, children of GOD without fault in the midst of a crooked and
perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
holding fast the WORD OF LIFE." [Philippians 2. 15 - 16]

As you continue in the LIFE-GIVING WORD, the LORD will "make HIS face
shine upon you, and deal kindly and graciously with you." [Numbers
(B'Midvar) 6. 25 Tanakh, Torah] HE is most precious and all-together
lovely. . .such a WONDERFUL SAVIOR, REDEEMER, LORD & KING!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Celebrating & Welcoming Shabbat! Infinite as YOUR power, even so is YOUR
love, O LORD OF HOSTS. YOU led us into the way of righteousness and
brought us to the light of truth. Therefore, at our lying down and our
rising up, we meditate on YOUR Teachings and at all times rejoice in
YOUR Laws. In them are true life and length of days. O that YOUR love
may never depart from our hearts. Praised are YOU, O LORD, WHO has made
us YOUR people.
May ALMIGHTY GOD'S love and peace shine out of each of us...as we
bow in adoration before the KING OF GLORY...
...bright enough for all to see
...clear enough for all to follow.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Fri 02 Sep 2011, 2:56 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Before a sinner can understand the love of GOD, he must first understand
the holiness of GOD. GOD is angry with the wicked — this warning
must to be thundered out repeatedly to this ungodly age.

COMING JUDGMENT
"For it is written — As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow
to ME, and every tongue shall confess to GOD. So then each of us shall
give account of himself to GOD." [Romans 14. 11 - 12]

Even life is not certain, but everyone can be certain that meeting the
HOLY CREATOR GOD to give an account of our life is positively absolutely
certain. Judgment is appointed, "and as it is appointed for men to die
once, but after this the judgment." [Hebrews 9. 27] The OLD COVENANT
also tells of the coming judgment, "prepare to meet your GOD, O Israel!
Behold! HE WHO formed the mountains, and created the wind, WHO has told
man what HIS wish is, WHO turns darkness into daybreak, and treads upon
the high places of the earth — HIS NAME is YEHOWAH, the GOD OF
HOSTS" [Amos/Amus 4. 12 - 13] warned the Prophet Amos.

There is no fear of judgment for the true believer, however for "there
is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in CHRIST JESUS, who
do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the SPIRIT. For the
Law of the SPIRIT OF LIFE in MESSIAH YESHUA has made me free from the
law of sin and death. For what the Law could not do in that it was weak
through the flesh, GOD did by sending HIS OWN SON in the likeness of
sinful flesh, on account of sin: HE condemned sin in the flesh." [Romans
8. 1 - 3] The LORD JESUS already paid for our redemption when HE died
on the cruel cross and then arose from the dead three days later
victoriously. YESHUA was "delivered up because of our offenses, and was
raised because of our justification. " [Romans 4. 25]

HOLY SCRIPTURES also tells us that "we must all appear before the
JUDGMENT SEAT OF CHRIST, that each one may receive the things done in
the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing,
therefore, the terror of the LORD, we persuade men; but we are well
known to GOD." [2 Corinthians 5. 10 – 11] Our works will be judged
by fire: "Each one's work will become clear; for The Day will declare
it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each
one's work, of what sort it is. If anyone's work which he has built on
it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone's work is burned, he
will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire."
[1 Corinthians 3. 13 - 15]

For those that die unrepentant in sin, not having trusted in the atoning
blood and redemptive work of CHRIST JESUS will face a horrible judgment.
The awesome scene is described by John in the book of Revelation the
prophecy of their coming fate: "I saw the dead, small and great,
standing before GOD, and books were opened. And another BOOK was opened,
which is the BOOK OF LIFE. And the dead were judged according to their
works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up
the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who
were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.
Then Death and Hades were cast into the Lake of Fire. This is the second
death. And anyone not found written in the BOOK OF LIFE was cast into
the Lake of Fire." [Revelation 20. 12 - 15] Works cannot and will not
save anyone! Therefore, I cherish and trust in the CHRIST of the cross.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O LORD our GOD CREATOR & PRESERVER, the ROCK of our life and the SHIELD
of our help, we render thanks to YOU for our lives which are in YOUR
hands, for our souls which are ever in YOUR keeping, for YOUR wondrous
providence and for YOUR continuous goodness. Truly, YOUR mercies never
fail and YOUR loving-kindness never ceases. Therefore, we put our trust
in YOU and we thank YOU continually with praises from our mouth.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Wisdom gives life to those who obtain it.

WICKED NATIONS FORGET
"Let the wicked be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget
GOD! Arise, O LORD, let not men prevail; let the nations be judged in
YOUR presence. Strike fear in them, O LORD; that the nations may know
themselves to be only men. Selah" [Psalms (Tehillym) 9. 17, 19 - 20
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Widely ignored today is the subject of hell, even among pastors,
teachers and evangelists. Although rarely acknowledged, the place of
eternal torment is often spoken of in HOLY SCRIPTURE. Numerous warnings
are given because hell is real and it is going to be more fully
populated than heaven. Heed the counsel of LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, "Enter
by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads
to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is
the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few
who find it." [Matthew 7. 13 - 14]

GOD'S WORD clearly shows that "No one does good. The LORD looks down
from heaven upon the children of men to find a man of understand, a man
mindful of GOD. All have turned aside, they have together become
corrupt, altogether foul; there is none who does good, No, not even
one." [Psalms (Tehillym) 14. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim; Romans 3. 10 - 18]
Furthermore "the whole world lies under the sway of the wicked one." [1
John 5. 19] Since all are wicked (Hebrew: rasha – bad person,
morally wrong, defiant, rebellious, condemned, guilty), we realize that
ones who are cast into hell are those who remain so, who "forget GOD"
and refuse to seek HIM.

Nations all over the world have turned their backs on the RIGHTEOUS &
JUST CREATOR, wickedness is legislated while righteousness, holiness,
and integrity are totally eliminated from the laws of man. Just as the
LORD GOD foretold: they would call evil good, and good evil, even
changing the laws. The wicked leaders speak pompous words against the
MOST HIGH, persecute the saints of the MOST HIGH, and intend to change
times and law. [see Daniel/Danyel 7. 25] What treasures we have
forfeited by disobedience.

However, for the saints in full sincerity of heart and mind, those who
seek the LORD GOD with all their might — "for the wise man of
intelligence, the path of life winds upward that he may turn away from
hell below." [Proverbs (Mishle) 15. 24 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Because GOD
sent HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON to die for the ungodly while we were still
wicked sinners. [Romans 5. 6] Blessed are those who serve the LORD in
fear and put their trust in HIM.

Oh that every man would return to genuine love of GOD and faithfully
trust HIM and HIS REVEALED WORD OF TRUTH, that we would be a holy people
in every nation, HE would make us a praise and a name in honour. In
MESSIAH, YESHUA OF NAZARETH, I rejoice in HIS lovingkindness.
Yes—and I will continue to rejoice in the LORD my GOD!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O come...let us adore HIM! Praised are YOU, O LORD, the HOLY ETERNAL
GOD. We render thanks to YOU that YOU sanctified us through YOUR WORD
through which we gain freedom of the soul which comes through obedience
to YOUR commandments.
May ALMIGHTY GOD'S love and peace shine out of each of us...as we
bow in adoration before the KING OF GLORY...bright enough for all to
see, clear enough for all to follow.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 24 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Wed 31 Aug 2011, 4:26 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Your mind is not old — keep developing it. Humor keeps you young,
make a point of enjoying life. Keep you mind strong, protect it by using
it. Opportunities are not vanished, keep pursuing. GOD is not dead,
seek and serve HIM while HE yet may be found!

GIVING OF NAMES
"ELOHIYM called the light Day, and the darkness HE called Night."
[Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 5 Tanakh, Torah] "ELOHIYM called the expanse
Sky." [Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 8 Tanakh, Torah] "ELOHIYM called the dry
land Earth, and the gathering of waters HE called Seas." [Genesis
(Bereshith) 1. 10 Tanakh, Torah] "Male and female HE created them. And
when they were created, HE blessed them and called them Man." [Genesis
(Bereshith) 5. 2 Tanakh, Torah]

The MIGHTY CREATOR gave names to things and beings of HIS OWN creation
which would not only recall the occasion but be descriptive of certain
compositions and functions belonging to them.

This "calling" ability and authority was transferred by the ALMIGHTY ONE
to Adam (means "red earth") who began to make use of it by giving
appropriate names to every beast and the creeping things of the field
and fowl of the air. Adam also names his wife when she was presented to
him, saying: "This one shall be called 'ishshah (woman) for from 'ish
(man) was she taken." [Genesis (Bereshith) 2. 23 Tanakh, Torah]

Adam renames her after the MASTER CREATOR informs them concerning the
coming DELIVERER. This new name, Chavvah or Eve is taken from the
Hebrew word "chayyah" which is translated living — "Because (said
Adam) she is the mother of all the living (more literally "the LIVING
ONE")." [Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 20 Tanakh, Torah] In this name we see
Adam's faith and hope for HIM WHO was GOD'S PROMISED REDEEMER.

The custom of "naming" suitable to the occasion, or having special
significance as to the hoped-for characteristics and future work of the
child, as well as holding the "key" to prophecy in some instances,
continued to be practiced from Adam throughout the years to the closing
of the NEW COVENANT days.

GOD ETERNAL, in the OLD & NEW COVENANTS, declared HIS NAME and the name
of HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON. "WHO has ascended heaven and come down? WHO
has gathered up the wind in the hollow of HIS hand? WHO has wrapped the
waters in HIS garment? WHO has established all the extremities of the
earth? What is HIS NAME or HIS SON'S NAME, if you know?" [Proverbs
(Mishle) 30. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Therefore GOD also has highly exalted
HIM and given HIM the NAME which is above every name, that at the NAME
of JESUS every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on
earth, and of those under the earth." [Philippians 2. 9 - 10] "Nor is
there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven
given among men by which we must be saved." [Acts 4. 12]

Oh, how wonderful is the great plan of ALL-WISE GOD! How carefully, in
every minute detail of HIS HOLY WORD does HE emphasize over and over
again the characteristics, the nature, work, and future of the GREATEST
CHILD and most GLORIOUS SON of them all! For GOD OMNIPOTENT offers
this privilege as one more step on the path of prophecy which would lead
to fulfillment in the greatest honor to be bestowed upon man. For,
wonder of wonders, one day it would come to pass that HE would even give
the name "YEHOWAH" for HIMSELF! "Look, the virgin (almah, an engaged
virgin) is with CHILD and about to give birth to a SON. Let her name HIM
IMMANU'EL (with us is GOD)." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 7. 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
And again, "For a CHILD has been born to us, a SON has been given us.
And authority has settled on HIS shoulders. HE has been named WONDERFUL,
COUNSELOR, the MIGHTY GOD, the ETERNAL FATHER, the RULER OF PEACE."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 9. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

And finally, the NAME above all names: When the angel of the LORD
appeared to Joseph, husband of Miryam (Mary), he said: "she will bring
forth a SON, and you shall CALL HIS NAME JESUS (OLD COVENANT: "YEHOSHUA
or YESHUA" — Hebrew for salvation, "YEHOWAH Saves or JEHOVAH is the
SAVIOR"); for HE will save HIS people from their sins." [Matthew 1. 21]
HalleluYAH, what a SAVIOR. . . IMMANU'EL, GOD with us!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Great opportunities disguise themselves as unsolvable problems.
Unsolvable, that is, without GOD'S wisdom. That is where HE does HIS
greatest work. . . the more impossible the situation, the greater are
HIS accomplishments! May we be swifter then eagles and stronger then
lions in doing the will of our GREAT GOD.
Tonight, the evening of August 30th the sixth month on the Biblical
calendar, the month of Elul, begins. This month is a month of repentance
and preparation for the upcoming Fall Feasts. The shofar is blown every
morning in every synagogue in order to wake people up for the coming Day
of Judgment on the Feast of Trumpets and the Days of Awe. According to
Jewish tradition Moses began his second 40-day fast on the first of
Elul, asking GOD to forgive Israel for the sin with the golden calf and
to renew the covenant. His fast ended on Yom Kippur, the Day of
Atonement. [Exodus/Shemot 32:11-13,31- 32] The 40 days from the 1st of
Elul to Yom Kippur became a traditional time of repentance, fasting, and
prayer among the Jewish people. Very likely our BELOVED MASTER went
through his 40-day fast recorded in the GOSPELS during this time.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 24 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Tue 30 Aug 2011, 5:17 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There are three means of believing: Inspiration — Reason —
Habit. [Blaise Pascal]

LIFT UP A STANDARD
"From the west they shall fear the NAME of the LORD, and from the east
HIS glorious presence; for when the enemy comes in like a flood, the
SPIRIT OF THE LORD will lift up a standard against him." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 59. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Hebrew word for standard is "nuwc (pronounced noos)" meaning "abate,
a way of escape, drive forth, chase, impel, deliver, put to flight,
hide." So when the MIGHTY INTERCESSOR fights for us, we can be certain
that the confrontation is already won.

We are warned to be sober and vigilant because the notorious enemy of
our soul, "your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion,
seeking whom he may devour." [1 Peter 5. 8] This notorious master of
deception also "transforms himself into an angel of light" as well as
"his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of
righteousness. " [2 Corinthians 11. 14 - 15] Satan and his ministering
hordes are most dangerously deceptive when they twist, alter and distort
HOLY SCRIPTURE to and through untaught and unstable people who twist the
WORD OF GOD "to their own destruction. " [2 Peter 3. 16] We must use the
SWORD OF THE SPIRIT against them!

Then when they fail to win a convert to their schemes they become
anguished in their deception, they resort to great persecution, pressure
and blatant opposition seeking to silence the testimony of true people
of GOD. Those who were once your friends "think it strange that you do
not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of
you." [1 Peter 4. 4] "Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the
fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened
to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of CHRIST'S
sufferings, that when HIS glory is revealed, you may also be glad with
exceeding joy." [1 Peter 4. 12 - 13]

Another event in time is coming when the woman (Israel) escapes from the
anti-Christ, the serpent again tries to destroy her when he "spewed
water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause
her to be carried away by the flood." [Revelation 12. 13 - 15] Again,
the HOLY & FAITHFUL ONE OF OLD will do great wonders, "the earth helped
the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood
which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth." [Revelation 12. 16]

When the enemy comes in like a great flood and the waves seem about to
engulf us, we have our blessed SHIELD & DELIVERER we can turn to and be
bless, for HE is ever near. "Were it not for the LORD WHO was on our
side when men assailed us, they would have swallowed us alive in their
burning rage against us; the waters would have overwhelmed us, the
torrent would have swept over us; then the seething waters would have
gone over our soul. Blessed is the LORD, WHO has not given us as prey to
their teeth." [Psalms (Tehillym) 124. 2 – 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

But, GOD is on our side, and as long as we stay on HIS side, sheltered
under HIS wing holding fast to HIS clearly revealed WORD OF TRUTH &
LIFE. Before the demonic flood can overwhelm us, the SPRIT OF THE LORD
will lift up HIS STANDARD against the enemy and overcome victoriously.
We are assured that "the solid foundation of GOD stands" [2 Timothy 2.
19], for the "LORD WHO is in you is greater than he who is in the
world." [1 John 4. 4]

"For YOU are great, and do wondrous things; YOU alone are GOD." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 86. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim] There is nothing too wondrous for
HIM.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Let us adore the EVER-LIVING GOD, and render praise to HIM WHO spread
out the heavens and established the earth, WHOSE glory is reveled in the
heavens above and WHO'S greatness is manifest throughout the world. HE
is our GOD; there is none else. With bowed heads and humble hearts and
abiding faith in justice and lovingkindness, we magnify the KING of
kings, the HOLY ONE, praised be HE.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Goodness makes greatness truly valuable, and greatness makes goodness
much more serviceable.

SONS BY FAITH
"The LORD said to Abram — Go forth from your native land and from
your father's house to the land that I will show you. I will make you a
great nation, and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you
shall be a blessing, a standard by which blessing is invoked. I will
bless those who bless you and curse him who curses you; and all the
families of the earth shall bless themselves by you." [Genesis
(Bereshith) 12. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Torah]

As far as we know, all people were Gentiles (Hebrew: goy/goyim) until
the days of Abraham, but with Abraham the Hebrew race began. These
descendants of Abraham (through Isaac) developed into 12 tribes called
Israelites, named after Abram's grandson, Jacob (whose name was changed
to Israel). {In Judaism there is a custom called "Shinnuy ha'Shem
(change of name)" also see Genesis/Bereshith 32. 28} One of Jacob's
(Israel) sons was called Judah, who was the first Jew. [However, Israel
is often referred to as Judah or Jew in Scripture — Paul was of the
tribe of Benjamin which tribe is classed with the Jews, yet he says
— "I am an Israelite of the tribe of Benjamin." Romans 11.1] All
who are not the natural descendants of Abraham through Isaac and Jacob
are called Gentiles, whatever their nationality may be.

The word "goy" in the HEBREW SCRIPTURES is generally translated nation,
heathen, gentile and literally means any nation including the nation of
Israel! In one particular instance Israel is called "Goy" by CREATOR
GOD HIMSELF: When HE promised Abraham HE would make of him a great
nation, the word used here for nation is goy! Today, however, the word
goy (Gentile) has acquired the meaning referring to anybody who is not a
Jew.

GOD ALMIGHTY declares both Jews and Gentiles to be sinners. "ALL have
sinned and fallen short of the glory of GOD" [Romans 3. 23] is only one
of the many statements concerning this. Therefore the Jew standing
before the LORD OF GLORY is the same as any Gentile. He is just as
"lost" as any Gentile who rejects the SAVIOR. GOD commands that all
repent from their sins, be converted and turn to HIM. Jewish persons
who are not religious as well as those who are following the practices
of TALMUDIC Judaism today must be converted even as Gentiles must be
converted who are observing religious activities but are not following
the faith of the NEW COVENANT. "What then? Are we better than they? Not
at all. For we have previously charged both Jews and Greeks that they
are all under sin." [Romans 3. 9] "As it is written — There is none
righteous, no, not one...There is no fear of GOD before their eyes."
[Romans 3. 10, 18]

HOLY GOD OMNIPOTENT is calling out a people from among both Jews and
Gentiles to be in the CONGREGATION OF THE LORD. When a Jew becomes a
believer in MESSIAH YESHUA, he automatically enters into the NEW
COVENANT relationship with GOD. Gentiles also find GOD through this NEW
COVENANT and so the wall between Jew and Gentile is thereby removed.

As before stated, a Jew is a lineal descendant of Abraham through Isaac
and Jacob. He does not cease to be a descendant of Abraham, Isaac and
Jacob when he believes and accepts YESHUA as the JEWISH MESSIAH. He is
still a Jew genealogically. This does not make him a Gentile, but
instead he becomes a better Jew, a fulfilled, completed, GOD-fearing,
GOD-honoring Jew.

A Gentile is one who is not a descendant of Abraham through Isaac and
Jacob. He does not become a Jew by believing and accepting the JEWISH
MESSIAH YESHUA, but enters into the NEW COVENANT with the Jewish
believers and also becomes a better Gentile, a fulfilled, completed,
GOD-fearing, GOD-honoring Gentile.

The NEW COVENANT teaches that true CHRIST-like- ones (distinctive ones,
pleasant, loving, good, easy to get along with, kindly, benevolent,
excellent, gracious, generous, etc.) from both the Jewish and Gentile
ranks, are the NEW COVENANT believers of Jeremiah 31:31-34.

"Just as Abraham believed GOD, and it was accounted to him for
righteousness. Therefore know that only those who are of faith are sons
of Abraham. And the SCRIPTURE, foreseeing that GOD would justify the
Gentiles by faith, preached the GOSPEL to Abraham beforehand, saying
— In you all the nations shall be blessed. So then those who are of
faith are blessed with believing Abraham." [Galatians 3. 6 - 9]

Notice that the Galatians Gentiles never were called Jews; they were
called "sons of Abraham." The truth in the forgoing SCRIPTURE verses is
concerning the "Faith" of Abraham and all those who have that same
faith are considered righteous along with him. {Abraham was before
Moses so then did not observe the Mosaic Law to be righteous. The
Covenant with Abraham [Genesis/Bereshith 12. 1 – 3] is to be
distinguished from the OLD COVENANT with Israel. [Exodus/Shemot 19.
1–5] The ABRAHAMIC COVENANT is still valid and applicable today.
The Law of Moses was added several hundred years later but it did not
disannul the ABRAHAMIC COVENANT. The Mosaic Law was not invalidated with
the Cross, and the ABRAHAMIC COVENANT is still in effect. [Galatians 3.
17]}

Because Gentile believers are called the sons of Abraham by faith in
SCRIPTURE, does not make them spiritual JEWS. Remember, not all the
natural children of Abraham are Jews. Arabs are not classed as Jews,
yet they are the natural descendants of Abraham! So it is in the
CHRISTian realm. It is not enough to be a child of Abraham to make one
a Jew! Gentiles who are of Abraham's "seed" are not made Jews by their
faith but do become partakers in the blessings of the JEWISH COVENANTS.
They become spiritual Gentiles and are called heirs according the
promise — "And if you are CHRIST'S — then you are Abraham's
seed, and heirs according to the promise." [Galatians 3. 29]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
O KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & PROTECTOR, blessed are YOU , O LORD, the SHIELD
of Abraham. We give thanks to YOU for our lives which are in YOUR hand,
for our souls which are ever in YOUR keeping, for YOUR wondrous
providence and for YOUR continuous goodness, which YOU bestow upon us
day by day. Truly, YOUR mercies never fail and YOUR loving-kindness
never ceases. Therefore do we forever put our trust in YOU.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 24 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sun 28 Aug 2011, 2:25 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
No act is an orphan.

GARMENT FRINGES
"The LORD spoke to Moses saying— Speak to the Israelite people and
instruct them to make for themselves fringes (tassels) on the corners of
their garments throughout the ages; let them attach a cord of blue to
the fringe at each corner. That shall be your fringes; look at it and
recall all the commandments of the LORD and observe them, so you do not
follow your heart and eyes in your lustful urge. Thus you shall be
reminded to observe all My commandments and to be holy to your GOD."
[Numbers (B'Midvar) 15. 37 - 40 Tanakh, Torah]

The Prayer Shawl (Hebrew: Tallith) is still worn today by observant
Jewish males and the Fringes (Hebrew: "Tsitzith" — translated
"wings, tassels, hem") are still on the corners, as commanded by the
MOST HOLY ONE. Being both, an obedient dedicated Jew and under the Law,
MESSIAH YESHUA wore this apparel as well.

YESHUA ha'MASHIACH fulfilled prophesy even in the wearing of this
garment. "But for you who revere MY NAME the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
(victory) shall rise to bring healing in HIS wings (referring to the
tassels of HIS garment)." [Malachi (Malakhi) 4. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Our
GREAT HIGH PRIEST, the LORD JESUS, laid aside HIS "glory garments" and
became THE PERFECT MAN.

Now we can understand more clearly the scene where MESSIAH YESHUA and
HIS disciples are going to the home of Jairus, after he pleaded for
YESHUA to "come lay HIS hand on her (Jairus' daughter) that she may be
healed and live." [Mark 5. 21 - 24] As the BELOVED SAVIOR was nearing,
"suddenly a woman who had a flow of blood for twelve years came from
behind and touched the hem (fringe) of His garment. She said to herself
— IF only I may touch HIS garment, I shall be made well. — But
JESUS turned around, and when HE saw her HE said — Be of good cheer
daughter, your faith has made you well. —The woman was made well
from that hour." [Matthew 9. 20 - 22]

It is again recorded that when the LORD JESUS went to the town of
Gennesaret, all the sick who were brought to HIM "were made perfectly
well when they touched the hem (fringe) of HIS garment." [Matthew 14. 34
- 36]

"When I passed by you again I saw that your time for love had arrived.
So I spread MY wing over you (an act symbolizing espousal/provider) and
covered your nakedness, and I entered into a covenant with you by oath
— declares the LORD GOD; thus you became MINE." [Ezekiel
(Yehezke-El) 16. 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im; also Ruth/Roos 3. 9 — where
Boaz takes Ruth under his wing as her near kinsman.]

The fringes (tsitzith/wings) are attached to the "prayer shawl" to
symbolize the commandments of MOST HOLY GOD. In the wearing these
fringes the Israelites are reminded continually of GOD'S Law that they
might obey HIS voice and observe HIS statutes...thus receiving HIS
wondrous blessings and be established as HIS holy people.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Good Sabbath — the rest of love freely given, a rest of truth and
sincerity - a rest in peace and tranquility, in quiet and safety — a
perfect rest in which you find favor. We bow the head and bend the knee
and magnify the KING of kings, the HOLY ONE, praised be HE. Amen! Have a
peaceful, enriching Shabbat with the deliberate intention of blessing
someone else.
May yours be a Yom She'kulo Shabbat (a day which is all-Sabbath) !

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Happiness is not dependent on happenings, but on relationships in the
happenings.

CHARIOTS & JUDGMENT
"The chariots are like flaming torches, dashing about frenzied in the
broad roads, fields and meadows. They race like streaks of lightening,
running into one another; they seem like torches, they run like
lightning." [Nahum (Nachum) 2. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This strange prophecy could almost be seen as a description of today's
busy traffic. However, the entire small Book of Nahum deals with the
coming destruction of Assyria (modern-day Iraq) and especially its great
capital, Nineveh. Assyria is one of the most viciously aggressive and
cruel empires in all history, that bitterly opposed ALMIGHTY GOD and HIS
rule as CREATOR in the affairs of men. The Assyrians had been used by
the HOLY ONE to punish the ten northern tribes of Israel, carrying them
into captivity. But, their own time of judgment was coming.

Under the preaching of Jonah, Nineveh had experienced a great revival,
sparing the city its judgment for over a century. However, it soon
became incurably apostate, worse than before, and its most vicious
crimes were committed in this later period. Finally, the LORD GOD
Eternal called Nahum the prophet to announce its coming doom. It was
still another century before Nahum's prophecies were fulfilled, but they
were eventually accomplished at the hands of the Chaldeans and the
Medes.

There is a possibility that, as is true in many other OLD COVENANT
passages, some of Nahum's prophecies have a near and far fulfillment;
the first in the ruin of Nineveh, the second in the great judgments of
the last days. Some of the predictions seem more appropriate for the
end-times, however. And despite many peoples thinking, it is not simple
poetic elaborations. Darkness will pursue GOD'S enemies: "The mountains
quake because of HIM, the earth heaves at HIS PRESENCE, and the hills
burn and melt; Yes — the world and all who dwell therein. And with
an overflowing, sweeping flood HE makes an end of those who oppose HIM,
chasing HIS enemies into darkness." [Nahum (Nachum) 1. 5, 8 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] Whether the insanely — dashing chariots fought only in
ancient Nineveh or also prefigure deadly attack vehicles of the last
days, the burning message of Nahum is that apostasy, violence, and
cruelty eventually bring terrible judgment and utter destruction.

"HE (the SOVEREIGN LORD OF HOSTS) shall not judge by what HIS eyes
behold, nor decide by what HIS ears perceive. But HE shall judge the
poor with righteousness and decide with justice for the meek of the
earth. HE shall strike the ruthless with the rod of HIS mouth, and slay
the wicked with the breath of HIS lips." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 11. 3 - 4
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In these last dark days, it is reassuring to know that "the LORD is good
to those who hope in HIM, a HAVEN on a day of trouble and distress. HE
is mindful of those who seek refuge in HIM." [Nahum (Nachum) 1. 7
Tanakh, Nevi'im] The LORD of all souls will judge in righteousness and
bless HIS chosen ones with shalom (peace)!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
We bid farewell to Sabbath by sing the song in the Havdallah ritual that
states, "the Prophet Elijah, the Tishbite from Gilead, may he come
to us soon with the SON OF DAVID, the MESSIAH" — the GREATER ONE
that we fix our gaze on. We also pray that GOD, WHO separates the holy
from the secular, forgive our sins, guide our life and open our mouth to
declare HIS praises continually.
May the ALL-PRESENT ONE fill our upcoming week with HIS DIVINE PRESENCE
that HE may be glorified; and may some of the sweetness of Sabbath be
present throughout your week days.
Our prayer is that GOD continually guides your life with HIS DIVINE
PRESENCE. May mercy, peace and love be yours in abundance as we look to
the day that The GREATER than Elijah will come again…and that soon!
Allow the flame of the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH to burn brightly in your
heart as you share HIS light with others.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Fri 26 Aug 2011, 12:01 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There is no reason to try predicting the future, the BIBLE has already
done that . . .and with greater certainty.

EVEN NOW
"You are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, HIS OWN
special people, that you may proclaim the praises of HIM WHO called you
out of darkness into HIS marvelous light; who once were not a people but
are now the people of GOD, who had not obtained mercy but now have
obtained mercy." [1 Peter 2. 9 - 10]

There are so very many marvelous and wondrous things that await us IF we
have trusted the LORD Messiah YesHUA for our salvation
—specifically, His mercies: "The LORD is longsuffering, slow to
anger, abundant in mercy and abounding in kindness; forgiving iniquity
and transgression. " [Numbers (B'Midvar) 14. 18 Tanakh, Torah] "One
thing GOD has spoken; two things have I heard — That Might belongs
to ADONEY, and Faithfulness is YOURS, O LORD, to reward each man
according to his deeds." [Psalms (Tehillym) 62. 11 - 12 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

It is written, "Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into
the heart of man the things which GOD has prepared for those who love
HIM." [1 Corinthians 2. 9] However, do not miss the next line. . .
"But GOD has revealed them to us through HIS SPIRIT. For the SPIRIT
searches all things, yes, the deep things of GOD." [1 Corinthians 2. 10]
"The concealed (secret) things belong to the LORD GOD, but the overt
acts (those things which are clearly revealed), it is for us and to our
children ever to apply all the words and provisions of this TEACHING
(Law)." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 29. 29 Tanakh, Torah] This means that
we are free from any condemnation at the Judgment. "There is therefore
now no condemnation to those who are in CHRIST JESUS, who do not walk
according to the flesh, but according to the SPIRIT. For the Law of the
SPIRIT of life in CHRIST JESUS has made me free from the law of sin and
death." [Romans 8. 1 - 2]

We have been justified already, declared righteous with the
righteousness of MESSIAH YESHUA HIMSELF. "GOD demonstrates HIS OWN love
toward us, in that while we were still sinners, CHRIST died for us. Much
more then, having now been justified by HIS blood, we shall be saved
from wrath through HIM. For if when we were enemies we were reconciled
to GOD through the death of HIS SON, much more, having been reconciled,
we shall be saved by HIS life." [Romans 5. 8 - 10] "But now the
righteousness of GOD apart from the Law is revealed — even the
righteousness of GOD, through faith in CHRIST JESUS, to all and on all
who believe." [Romans 3. 21 – 22] We are now the people of the
RIGHTEOUS, LOVING, HOLY GOD who have obtained mercy.

In the magnificent passage, the precious Apostle John confirms the
glorious truth, "Beloved, now we are children of GOD; and it has not yet
been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when HE is revealed, we
shall be like HIM, for we shall see HIM as HE is." [1 John 3. 2]

As CHRIST-like- ones, we have the wonderful assurance that our blessed
LORD YESHUA is praying for us, even now for Messiah, the perfect REFUGE,
is entered into Heaven itself. "For MESSIAH has not entered the holy
places made with hands, which are copies of the true, but into heaven
itself, now to appear in the presence of GOD for us" [Hebrews 9. 24]
since "HE always lives to make intercession for them." [Hebrews 7. 25]

"Now to Him Who is able to keep you from stumbling, and to present you
faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy, to GOD
our SAVIOR, WHO alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion and power,
both now and forever, Amen!" [Jude 24 - 25] What a MIGHTY GOD we serve!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!!
Judgment is coming, troubles are coming, and we must live disciplined,
enduring CHRIST-filled lives. Lives disciplined by the WORD OF GOD and
empowered by HIS HOLY SPIRIT to give us strength and courage to fight
evil and to triumph over it. May the WONDROUS LORD GOD grant you the
privilege to witness and experience the marvelous miracle of being
delivered from the yoke of slavery to sin. All glory and praise to the
ALMIGHTY LORD GOD, KING OF CREATION forever!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 24 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Mon 22 Aug 2011, 9:12 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Great is repentance; it turns sins into incentives for correct conduct.

HALLELUYAH!
"Sing to GOD, chant hymns of praise to HIS NAME; extol HIM WHO rides on
the clouds; YAH is HIS NAME. Exult in HIS PRESENCE." [Psalms (Tehillym)
68. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

By joining "hallel" — the Hebrew word for "praise" — with the
PRECIOUS NAME "YAH" — it becomes "HalleluYAH" meaning "praise the
LORD." Thus exhorting and compelling us to praise the LORD OF CREATION,
the self-existing, self-revealing ONLY LIVING & TRUE GOD.

There are 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet. "HalleluYAH" occurs
exactly 22 times in the book of Psalms (Praises of Israel), and Hebrew
is the language that the ALMIGHTY ONE used to reveal HIS TIMELESS WORD
[Psalms/Tehillym 119. 89] to man. Thus, we are reminded that the very
purpose of language is to "praise the Lord" WHO created us and died to
redeem us.

Praise occurs more in the Book of Psalms than in all the rest of the
HOLY SCRIPTURES, so it is appropriate that the Psalms conclude with a
glorious and eternal doxology:
"HalleluYAH! Praise GOD in HIS sanctuary; praise HIM in HIS mighty
firmament, HIS stronghold!
Praise HIM for HIS mighty acts; praise HIM as befits HIS exceedingly
excellent greatness!
Praise HIM with blasts of the horn; praise HIM with the harp and lyre!
Praise HIM with the timbrel and dance; praise HIM with lute and pipe!
Praise HIM with resounding cymbals; praise HIM with loud-alarming
cymbals!
Let everything that breathes praise the LORD. HalleluYAH!" [Psalms
(Tehillym) 150. 1 - 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

To praise GOD is to acknowledge the glories of HIS excellent PERSON. It
differs somewhat from thanksgiving which describes what GOD has done,
rather than what HE is.

GOD alone is worthy of our praise. [Psalms/Tehillym 18. 3; 113. 3]
It is HIS will that we praise HIM. [Psalms/Tehillym 50. 23;
Isaiah/Yeshayah 43. 21]
Praise to HIM should be continuous. [Psalms/Tehillym 34. 1; 71. 6] and
in public. [Psalms/Tehillym 22. 25]
We should praise GOD for HIS holiness [2 Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Bet
20. 21], grace [Ephesians 5. 6], goodness [Psalms/Tehillym 135. 3] and
kindness. [Psalms/Tehillym 138. 2]
All of nature praises GOD. [Psalms/Tehillym 148. 7 - 10]
The sun, moon, and stars all praise HIM. [Psalms/Tehillym 19. 1; 143. 3]
The angels praise HIM. [Psalms/Tehillym 148. 2]
And, on occasions, the LOVING CREATOR uses even the wrath of men to
praise HIM. [Psalms/Tehillym 76. 10] An example of this is seen in the
selling of Joseph by his brothers into slavery. [Genesis/Bereshith 37.
28] GOD later uses this cruel act to promote Joseph as second ruler
over all Egypt. As Joseph would remind his brothers: "Although you
intended me harm, GOD intended it for good, so as to bring about the
present result — the survival of many people." [Genesis/Bereshith
50. 20]

Holy and enhanced may HE be throughout the world of HIS creation—may
GOD be praised throughout all time—glorified and celebrated, lauded,
honored and praised; acclaimed and esteemed, extolled and
exalted—may the prayers and pleas of the whole House of Israel be
accepted by our FATHER in Heaven. Selah [Selah: a pause, a time to
meditate and lift up your soul to GOD and sing; a longing cry of the
soul to the GLORIOUS ETERNAL ONE.]

POSSESSOR of heaven & earth, all YOUR faithful ones, together with the
children of Israel — praise, glorify, worship and adore YOU our
RIGHTEOUS KING! All creation. . . "praise the LORD! HalleluYAH!"

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Who is like YOU, O KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & SHIELD? Blessed are YOU, the
HOLY ONE WHO sustains the living with loving-kindness, quickens the dead
with great mercy, supports the falling; heals the sick, looses the
bound, and keeps YOUR faith to them that sleep in the dust. YOU are the
LORD of mighty acts, WHO judges, WHO kills and quickens, and causes
salvation to spring forth. YOU alone are faithful, YOU are holy, and
YOUR NAME is holy, and we adore and praise you daily. Selah!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

"When the LORD JESUS is revealed from heaven with HIS mighty angels, in
flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know GOD, and on those
who do not obey the gospel of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. These shall be
punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the LORD and
from the glory of HIS power, when HE comes, in that Day, to be glorified
in HIS saints and to be admired among all those who believe, because our
testimony among you was believed." [2 Thessalonians 1. 7 - 10]

Many critics contend that the OLD COVENANT and NEW COVENANT are
inconsistent — the OLD COVENANT being filled with harsh
condemnations of human sin and warnings of the coming Divine Judgment;
the NEW COVENANT emphasizes the Grace and Love of the ALMIGHTY ETERNAL
ONE. However, the OLD COVENANT unquestionably contains numerous
testimonies of love, mercy and lovingkindness of our MAGNIFICENT CREATOR
GOD. "The LORD is merciful, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger,
abounding in mercy and steadfast love." [Psalms (Tehillym) 103. 8
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

In the same way, the most striking and fearsome warnings and prophecies
of judgment to come are found in the NEW COVENANT. "For the time has
come for judgment to begin at the House of GOD; and if it begins with us
first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the GOSPEL OF GOD?
Now, if the righteous one is scarcely saved, where will the ungodly and
the sinner appear?" [1 Peter 4. 17 - 18] There will be an eternal
separation from the TENDER, LOVING SAVIOR for all who reject HIS ONLY
BEGOTTEN SON, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH and HIS saving grace. The LORD YESHUA
HIMSELF uttered more warnings of future hell than anyone else recorded
in either the OLD or NEW COVENANTS. YESHUA will say to "those on the
left hand — Depart from ME, you cursed, into the everlasting fire
prepared for the devil and his angels." [Matthew 25. 41] Jude spoke of
ungodly men "for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever."
[Jude 13]

The beloved disciple, John, wrote more to emphasize the love of ALMIGHTY
GOD then any other writer. But, in the Book of Revelation he focuses
especially, and in detail, on the coming period of the RIGHTEOUS ONE'S
judgment on a rebellious world. "And I saw the dead, small and great,
standing before GOD, and Books were opened.
This is the second
death. And anyone not found written in the BOOK OF LIFE was cast into
the Lake of Fire." [Revelation 20. 12 - 15]

The OMNIPOTENT, LOVING, HIGH & EXALTED CREATOR is most gracious and
full of mercy, "compassionate longsuffering and gracious, slow to anger,
abounding in kindness and faithfulness and truth, extending mercy to the
thousandth generation, forgiving iniquity, transgression and sin" to all
who receive MESSIAH YESHUA. But "does not overlook or pardon the
guilty." [Exodus (Shemot) 34. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Torah] Unequivocal and
inescapable judgment will come to all who refuse the SON OF GOD.

Oy! such weeping and wailing there will be as the lost are told of their
fate. Do not let this be your end. The arms of the SAVIOR are extended
to you even now. . . run to HIM.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbat, may our lips ever declare praises to our
KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & SHIELD for HIS loving kindness is mighty over us.
Have a good week — continue serving the BELOVED MASTER with a lev
tahor (clean heart) and consider your latter end! May GOD hold you in
the palm of HIS hand and watch over you each day, HE is faithful!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 24 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A miracle cannot prove what is impossible; it is helpful only as
confirmation of what is possible with CREATOR GOD.

PATHS OF THE LORD
"All the LORD'S paths are mercy, steadfast love and truth for those who
keep the decrees of HIS Covenant and HIS Testimonies. " [Psalms
(Tehillym) 25. 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

One of the great promises in HOLY SCRIPTURE is that ALMIGHTY GOD will
lead those who obediently follow HIS will and honour HIS BLESSED WORD.
"In all your ways acknowledge HIM and HE will direct your paths and make
them smooth." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

These paths have experienced the mercy our LOVING CREATOR and confirm
HIS truth, if we obey HIS WORD — that is, if we keep HIS Covenant of
Grace and believe the promise of HIS Testimonies. They are paths
leading to life eternal. "YOU will teach me the path of life. In YOUR
presence is perfect joy; delights are ever in YOUR right hand." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 16. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The paths which the ALL-WISE MASTER directs us to may seem unusual,
dark, discouraging or dangerous, but we have HIS promises that they lead
to joy and peace and HIS great light. "The path of the righteous is
like the radiant sunlight, ever brightening until noon." [Proverbs
(Mishle) 4. 18 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The pathway leads to true wisdom of the
HOLY ONE which offers "pleasant ways, and all her paths, peaceful."
[Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "HE guides me in the paths
of righteousness as befits HIS NAME." [Psalms (Tehillym) 23. 3 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

The paths may be by still waters or through valleys of deepest darkness,
but GOD'S goodness and mercy follows us in these paths, and finally
leads us Home to be forever with the LORD.

When troubles come our way, if we have difficulty discerning the right
path to follow, still OMNIPOTENT LORD GOD is directing our every step,
we can find guidance in HIS PRECIOUS HOLY WORD, for "YOUR WORD is a LAMP
to my feet, a LIGHT for my path." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 115 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

In bold confidence and assurance, we are always able to pray, "Lead me
in the path of YOUR commandments; for that is my concern and my
delight." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 35 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Show me YOUR
way, O LORD, and lead me on a path, because of my watchful foes."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 27. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] All who seek HIM early and
love HIS Eternal Law are definitely rich, extremely blessed, and will
have a fullness of indescribable joy.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
I will worship and praise YOU, my GOD, O KING; and I will bless YOUR
NAME forever and ever. Great is the LORD, and highly to be praised; and
HIS greatness is unsearchable.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.
