A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The real art of conversation is not only to say the right thing in the
right place, but also to leave unsaid the wrong at a tempting moment.

DELIBERATE SIN
"For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the
truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a certain
fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour
the adversaries. " [Hebrews 10. 26 - 27]

This is one of the most controversial passages of HOLY SCRIPTURE because
of its apparent conflict with passages which teach salvation by grace,
entirely apart from the Law or any form of works [Ephesians 2. 8-9;
Titus 3. 5] and absolute security in salvation to those who belong to
the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. [John 10. 28 - 29; Romans 8. 35 - 39]
YESHUA commanded: "Teach them to observe all that I have commanded
you." [Matthew 28:20]

All unintentional sins in the OLD COVENANT have a covering, but no
intentional sin is covered. [Leviticus/Vayikra 4 - 5] And, in the NEW
COVENANT, there are many passages that warn against deliberate acts of
sin. "Whoever says— I know HIM —and does not keep HIS
commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him." [1 John 2. 4]
"To the pure all things are pure, but to those who are defiled and
unbelieving nothing is pure; but even their mind and conscience are
defiled. They profess to know GOD, but in works they deny HIM, being
abominable, disobedient, and disqualified for every good work." [Titus
1. 15 - 16] "Whoever has been born of GOD does not sin, for HIS seed
remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of GOD. In
this the children of GOD and the children of the devil are manifest:
Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of GOD; nor is he who
does not love his brother." [1 John 3. 9 - 10]

There are many "impervious (solid, pure, reliable, trustworthy) texts"
on both sides of this question, and since there are no real
contradictions in GOD'S HOLY WRITTEN WORD, the LORD must have had a good
reason for inspiring this apparent paradox in HIS BOOK. The
misunderstanding is on our part, not on the HOLY SCRIPTURES. On the one
hand, it is vital for every true believer in the LORD JESUS, the
ONLY-BEGOTTEN OF THE FATHER to know that they are saved and have eternal
life. "And this is the testimony— that GOD has given us eternal
life, and this life is in HIS SON. He who has the SON has life; he who
does not have the SON OF GOD does not have life. These things I have
written to you who believe in the NAME OF THE SON OF GOD, that you may
know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in
the NAME OF THE SON OF GOD." [1 John 5. 11 - 13]

Nonetheless, it is lethally dangerous for a person merely to think he or
she is saved when there is no "evidence" of a changed life. "Let grace
be shown to the wicked scoundrel, yet he learns not righteousness,
though spared." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 26. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Such
SCRIPTURES give sober warning that professing CHRISTians have no basis
for any assurance of salvation if they do not obey HIS COMMANDS. "Now
by this we know that we know HIM, IF we keep HIS commandments. " [1 John
2. 3] The LORD JESUS CHRIST stated, "IF you love ME, keep MY
commandments. " [John 14. 15] MESSIAH YESHUA also said, "IF anyone
loves ME, he will keep MY WORD." [John 14. 23] This is not a command
but, it is supportive evidence of our love for HIM.

Therefore, "Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test
yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that JESUS CHRIST is in you?
— unless indeed you are disqualified. " [2 Corinthians 13. 5] "For
IF these things are yours and abound, you will be neither barren nor
unfruitful in the knowledge of our LORD JESUS CHRIST. For he who lacks
these things is shortsighted, even to blindness, and has forgotten that
he was cleansed from his old sins. Therefore, brethren, be even more
diligent to make your call and election sure, for IF you do these things
you will never stumble." [2 Peter 1. 8 - 10] "For a good tree does not
bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. For every tree is
known by its own fruit." [Luke 6. 43 - 44]

What kind of fruit is your life producing, manifesting and initiating?

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Life is a blessing! You are an integral part of GOD'S plan; the
favour of the LORD'S blessings are brought by HIS good pleasure.
Consider your latter end: fear the LORD GOD, the HOLY CREATOR, take heed
to HIS counsel, seek understanding. Grace be with all those who love
our LORD MESSIAH YESHUA in sincerity. Watch and pray...our RIGHTEOUS
KING is coming soon!
Be found ready — diligently watching!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Thought FOR TODAY

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The men that move the world are the men the world cannot move.

DEATH IN THE POT
"Then they served it for the men to eat. While they were still eating of
the stew, they began to cried out— O man of GOD, there is death in
the pot! —And they could not eat it." [2 Kings (Melakhim Bet) 4. 40
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There was a famine in the land and the disciples of the prophets that
were sitting before Elisha were hungry. Elisha said to his servant,
"Put the large pot on the fire and cook a stew for the disciples of the
prophets." [v. 38] So some of them went into the fields to gather
sprouts to enhance the flavor of the meal. They came across a wild vine
and picked from it wild gourds, as many as his garment would hold. Not
knowing what they were, the gourds were sliced up and put into the pot.
When finished cooking, the meal was served. However, after tasting the
stew, it was realized that the succulent gourmet meal was poisonous,
and the recipient tasters cried out— "O man of GOD, there is death
in the pot!" The wild gourds had immediately caused severe cramps.

The wild gourd symbolize false doctrine. When scholars or preachers
want to spice up the old truths of HOLY SCRIPTURE with some new and
superficially attractive embellishments, it only contaminates the
"sincere milk of the word" [1 Peter 2. 2], which brings death to those
who partake of such fatal poison.

Like leaven which the woman who took and secretly "hid in three
measures of meal till it was all leavened" [Matthew 13. 33], Elisha's
creative disciples unsuspectingly added the seemingly pleasant
ingredient, and it permeated the whole pot of stew with its deadly
poison. Even the Apostle Paul emphatically stressed, "Who hindered you
from obeying the truth? This persuasion does not come from HIM WHO calls
you. A little leaven leavens the whole lump." [Galatians 5. 7 - 9]

There was a remedy for the deadly poison, however. Elisha said, "fetch
some flour" and he threw it into the pot then served it to the people
that they might not hunger. And there was no longer anything harmful in
the pot." [2 Kings/Melakhim Bet 4. 41] A similar scenario happened when
Moses threw the piece of wood into the bitter waters of Mara, and the
LORD GOD caused the water to become sweet. [Exodus/Shemot 15. 23 - 25]
Truth always triumphs over deceit and lies.

The purifying "flour" with Elisha and the "piece of wood" of Moses'
time, symbolize the TRUE LIFE-GIVING WORD OF GOD. The WRITTEN WORD
which is the TRUE BREAD, the HEAVENLY MANNA by which man must live. As
is written, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every WORD that
proceeds from the mouth of GOD." [Matthew 4. 4; Deuteronomy/ Devarim 8.
3] The humbling remedy for the poisonous doctrines of the world must
always be the pure, unadulterated WORD OF GOD faithfully taught and
exhorted.

As we come to the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY with a sincere heart, HE will
forgive our sins and take away this deadly defilement of deceptive sin
and give us everlasting life in the TRUTH of HIS HOLY WORD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
May You, MosT HolY One, be blessed forever, even to all eternity beyond
all blessings and hymns, praises and consolations that may be uttered in
this world; blessed, praised & honoured, extolled & glorified, adored &
exalted above all else for YOU are worthy.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Fulfilling scriptures

Romans 15:21 - But as it is written, 'To whom he was not spoken of,
they shall see: and they that have not heard shall understand'.

In today's message we read about Paul who desired to go to Rome and
preach to the Romans but could not do it. The Lord worked mightily
through Paul yet he struggled to fulfil one of the greatest desires in
his life that was to go to Rome to preach there especially to the
Roman emperor - Caesar.

Paul was a half Roman yet most of his communications with the Romans,
after he came in the Lord was through letters only. Paul states his
activities kept him busy so that scriptures would be fulfilled in
Isaiah (52:15) that the people who did not know the Lord would see Him
and those did not hear of Him would understand Him.

The Jews did see the Lord Jesus Christ but did not recognize Him. They
even heard Him preach but did not understand it. The salvation that
first came to the Jews went to the people of God who were not Jews
(Gentiles - lost sheep), people who were of God but did not know Him.

We also read in the Bible, in all things that Jesus did He fulfilled
the scriptures.

Did Paul and Jesus plan their lives according to scriptures? No. Paul
and Jesus knew scriptures for they studied them from childhood. Paul
before he came in the Lord was a student of one of the best Jewish
scholars of his time and was respected by the Jews for being a student
of Gamaliel. It was like in UK being a student of Cambridge, in US of
Harvard's or in India of IIT. I am sure at that time Paul would
narrate scriptures like a parrot (like most good religious Jewish
students do) even though he had no understanding of them.

Both Paul (after he came in the Lord) and Jesus did not plan their
activity by scriptures but were led by the Spirit of God to do things
which caused the scriptures to be fulfilled.

The Word of God are guidelines to us. We should not try to follow them
with our strength but do according to what the Spirit of God leads us.
But then we should check if we are been led by the Spirit of God, for
what we do will be in-line with the scriptures, fulfilling them.

The Lord is telling us there are many among us, who are trying hard to
keep the commandments, to follow the Bible with great struggle and are
tired. The Lord is telling them that although He gave the Word yet He
did not expect us to succeed in keeping them or following them by our
own strength that is the reason He gave us His Spirit.

The Lord is telling us to be led by His Spirit and automatically we
will find ourselves fulfilling scriptures and keeping God's Word.
Success comes only through the Spirit of God.

[Prayer Starter]
Lord, we pray your people realize the importance of your Spirit. That
they realize it is not possible for anyone to keep the Word or become
overcomers without the help of your Spirit. Holy Spirit lead us your
people that we be blessed and all the promises of Christ be fulfilled
in us...

This prayer we make in Jesus' Name, Amen.

[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 15:20-25
20 Yea, so have I strived to preach the gospel, not where Christ was
named, lest I should build upon another man's foundation:
21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall
see: and they that have not heard shall understand.
22 For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.
23 But now having no more place in these parts, and having a great
desire these many years to come unto you;
24 Whensoever I take my journey into Spain, I will come to you: for I
trust to see you in my journey, and to be brought on my way
thitherward by you, if first I be somewhat filled with your company.
25 But now I go unto Jerusalem to minister unto the saints.

Luke 4:16-22
16 And he came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up: and he
entered, as his custom was, into the synagogue on the sabbath day, and
stood up to read.
17 And there was delivered unto him the book of the prophet Isaiah.
And he opened the book, and found the place where it was written,
18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to
preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to proclaim release
to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at
liberty them that are bruised,
19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.
20 And he closed the book, and gave it back to the attendant, and sat
down: and the eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21 And he began to say unto them, To-day hath this scripture been
fulfilled in your ears.
22 And all bare him witness, and wondered at the words of grace which
proceeded out of his mouth: and they said, Is not this Joseph's son?

Matthew 13:13-17
13 Therefore speak I to them in parables; because seeing they see
not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And unto them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah, which saith, By
hearing ye shall hear, and shall in no wise understand; And seeing ye
shall see, and shall in no wise perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, And their ears are dull of
hearing, And their eyes they have closed; Lest haply they should
perceive with their eyes, And hear with their ears, And understand
with their heart, And should turn again, And I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous men
desired to see the things which ye see, and saw them not; and to hear
the things which ye hear, and heard them not.

Mark 14:49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took
me not: but this is done that the scriptures might be fulfilled.

Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These are my words which I spake
unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must needs be
fulfilled, which are written in the law of Moses, and the prophets,
and the psalms, concerning me.

Zechariah 4:6b ... saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my
Spirit, saith Jehovah of hosts.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 13 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
To be proud is not necessarily to suffer from pride.

PERISHING FOOL
"Let no one deceive himself. If anyone among you seems to be wise in
this age, let him become a fool that he may become wise. For the wisdom
of this world is foolishness with GOD. For it is written— HE catches
the wise in their own craftiness." [1 Corinthians 3. 18 - 19]

There are several Hebrew words for a fool: meshuggenah — illiterate
lowbrow, idiot; pethi —an open fool; kesil —a thick-headed,
hardened fool; letz —a scoffer, a mocking fool; nabal —the
wicked, arrogant GOD-denying fool.

Those who are attracted and captivated with this world's delusion of
wisdom and so they disregard, refuse or reject ETERNAL GOD'S wisdom are
unwise, void of mind and reason, perishing fools in the sight of their
DIVINE CREATOR. "Although they knew GOD, they did not glorify HIM as
GOD, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their
foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools."
[Romans 1. 21 - 22] "All the ways of a man seem right to him, but the
LORD weighs the spirits (motives)." [Proverbs (Mishle) 16. 2 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH said that "everyone who hears these
sayings of MINE, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who
built his house on the sand and the rain descended, the floods came, and
the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And GREAT WAS ITS
FALL." [Matthew 7. 26 - 27] "Whoever trusts in his own instinct is a
fool (idiot/nabal) , but whoever lives wisely will be delivered (and
shall escape)." [Proverbs (Mishle) 28. 26 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Humanistic wisdom has most of the world today in complete servitude and
dark bondage. Those who trust in the CREATOR GOD and HIS Great work of
redemption through JESUS OF NAZARETH WHO bore our sins on the cross are
considered foolish to human imagining. However, the worldly wisdom is
foolishness with OMNISCIENT GOD, and HE is the only ONE WHO rules with
authority. "For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who
are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of GOD. For
it is written: I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and bring to
nothing the understanding of the prudent." [1 Corinthians 1. 18 - 19]
"HE thwarts (spoils, ruins) the designs of the crafty, so that their
hands cannot gain success. HE traps the clever in their own wiles; the
plans of the cunning quickly go awry upon themselves." [Job (Iyob) 5. 12
- 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The wisdom of this world is foolish, empty, futile, proud, arrogant and
assuming. May we be wise and seek to understand "the knowledge of the
mystery of GOD, both of the FATHER and of CHRIST, in WHOM are hidden ALL
the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." [Colossians 2. 2 - 3] To the
LORD & SAVIOR YESHUA THE BELOVED ANOINTED ONE be glory now and
forevermore.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Blessed are YOU, O LORD our GOD and GOD of our fathers, the GOD of
Abraham, the GOD of Isaac and the GOD of Jacob, the GREAT, MIGHTY &
REVERED HOLY ONE, the TRUE & FAITHFUL GOD WHO imparts loving kindnesses,
the CREATOR of all things, WHO remembers the good deeds of the
patriarchs and in love will bring the REDEEMER to their children's
children for YOUR NAME'S sake. O KING, HELPER, SAVIOUR and SHIELD,
blessed are YOU.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 13 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Mon 06 Aug 2012, 9:07 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A dead man is mourned seven days, a fool his lifetime.

ARROGANT IGNORANCE
"Strangers have consumed his strength, but he has taken no notice; also,
gray mold hair is scattered over him, but he has taken no notice."
[Hosea (Hoshea) 7. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

One of the saddest dramas and heartbreaking tragedies in human
experience is the sight of a proud and self-confident leader who does
not realize that his once-flaunted powers have deserted him and he now
appears simply weak and foolish. The powerful, strong and impressive
Samson, with his hair cut off, was a lamentable and grievous example of
such grievous ignorance. "He did not know that the LORD had departed
from him" [Judges/Shofetim 16. 20], so the Philistines were able to put
out his eyes and bind him with chains. The once-mighty people of Israel
in the days of their deep apostasy, were in the same ignorant condition.
Hosea versed their distressing dilemma and perplexing confusion well.
"They sow wind, and they shall reap whirlwind... whatever little is
produced, strangers devour it." [Hosea (Hoshea) 8. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Many years later, GOD'S people, Judah, exhibited an even greater tragic
state of egotistical ignorance. Their MESSIAH had come to them and they
did not know HIM, they even crucified HIM. GOD'S righteous judgment
would not be delayed. "[Your enemies] shall level you, and your
children within you, to the ground; and they will not leave in you one
stone upon another, because you did not know the time of your
visitation." [Luke 19. 44]

The church at Laodicea, is a most tragic case, as this church represents
all those outwardly prosperous, evangelical churches that attempt to
take a neutral position on the basic conflicts of the last days. The
HOLY ONE WHO is "the AMEN, the FAITHFUL & TRUE WITNESS, the BEGINNING of
the creation of GOD" [Revelation 3. 14] will pronounce the awful
judgment on them. "So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither cold
nor hot, I will spew you out of MY mouth. Because you say— I am
rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing —and do not know
that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind and naked." [Revelation 3.
16 - 17] Saints of ALMIGHTY GOD urgently need to guard against the
tragedy of arrogant ignorance!

We need to examine ourselves in light of HOLY SCRIPTURES, "Examine
yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you
not know yourselves, that JESUS CHRIST is in you? —unless indeed you
are disqualified. " [2 Corinthians 13. 5] We need to acknowledge our
inadequacy, "we have all become like an unclean thing. And all our
virtues like a filthy rag. We are all withering like leaves, and our
iniquities, like a wind, carry us off." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 64. 6 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] Then allow that WORD OF TRUTH to bring us to the LORD MESSIAH
YESHUA, our ONLY ANSWER, our ONLY HOPE. . .HIS righteousness imputed to
us by faith!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Keep looking up, the best is yet to be! The person who knows the WORD
OF GOD is well armed against the deceptions of the scheming Devil. When
you know the TRUTH — you know THE MASTER.

Post  Admin Sun 05 Aug 2012, 8:00 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY...
Over time, we are richer for what we discover we don't need than for
getting what we thought we wanted.

THE MARK, A SIGNET
"The LORD said to him (the angel with the inkhorn) — Pass through
the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads (seal of
ownership) of the men who moan, grieve, lament and groan because of all
the abominations that are committed in it. — To the others HE said
in my hearing — Follow him through the city and strike; show no pity
or compassion. Kill off graybeard, youth and maiden, women and children;
but do not touch any person who bears the MARK. Begin here at MY
Sanctuary." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 9. 4 - 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The SEAL OF THE LIVING GOD is to protect HIS servants from the plagues
of the Great Tribulation, which will enable them to do their work more
effectively and without harm. The man clothed in linen with an inkhorn
is the one who did the marking of these OLD COVENANT saints who were to
be protected from the DEATH ANGEL OF THE LORD. In the same way, the
blood on the door posts and lintel of the houses of the Children of
Israel protected them when the DEATH ANGEL passed over the land in
Egypt. "And the blood on the houses where you are staying shall be a
SIGN for you: When I see the blood I will pass over you, so that no
plague will destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt." [Exodus
(Shemot) 12. 12 - 13 Tanakh, Torah]

The things done in the OLD COVENANT, especially in the realm of
prophecy, were often pictures and illustrations of things that would
happen in the future. Such is the case with the command to not hurt
anything with the plagues of the Great Tribulation until the 144,000 are
sealed. This MARK is for a secure protection from the plagues that are
to come. "Then I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the
seal of the LIVING GOD saying— Do not harm the earth, the sea, or
the trees until we have sealed the servants of our GOD on their
foreheads. — And I heard the number of those who were sealed, One
Hundred and Forty-Four Thousand of all the Tribes of the Children of
Israel were sealed." [Revelation 7. 1 - 8]

These 144,000 are identified as "SERVANTS of our GOD" who "following the
LAMB wherever HE goes" and have "HIS FATHER'S NAME, written on their
foreheads. The 144,000 were redeemed from the earth. They were not
defiled with women, for they are virgins. They were redeemed among men,
being firstfruits to GOD and to the LAMB. No deceit was found in their
mouth, for they are without fault before the Throne of GOD." [Revelation
14. 1 - 5] Obviously, they are protected witnesses of the LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH to the world throughout the Great Tribulation.

The "Mark of GOD" should in no way be confused or compared to the "Mark
of the Anti-CHRIST (Mark of the Beast)." The Mark of the Beast is a
demonic-counterfeit which entices people to sell their soul in an
attempt to save their mortal life. The "Mark of the LORD GOD" is HIS
sign of protection for HIS faithful saints.

"MARK the blameless, note the upright; for there is a peaceful future
for the man of integrity. But the transgressors shall be utterly
destroyed, the future of the wicked shall be cut off. But the salvation
of the righteous comes from the LORD; their STRONGHOLD in time of
trouble. The LORD helps them and delivers them, rescues them from the
wicked and delivers them, for they seek refuge and they trust in HIM."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 37 - 40 Tanakh, Kethuvim] May we be found
blameless and ever wear "the mark" of being a true child of the HEAVENLY
KING OF GLORY.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer for each of you is that the
LORD will fully prepare you in HIS service to minister to this lost and
dying world. May GOD'S hand direct your life continually.
Exalted and hallowed be GOD'S greatness in this world of His creation.
May His will be fulfilled and His sovereignty revealed in the days of
our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel. May YOU be
blessed forever, even to all eternity. May YOU, MOST HOLY ONE, be
blessed, praised & honored, extolled & glorified, adored & exalted above
all else. Blessed are YOU beyond all blessings & hymns, praises &
consolations that may be uttered in this world. May peace abundant
descend from heaven with life for us and all Israel, Amen.
Dear friends, you are loved and appreciated, may your coming week be
blessed.!

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The word prophet (Hebrew —nabiy') is created from the two words,
"before speaking." Thus, a true prophet spends more time listening to
Almighty GOD than speaking for Him.
THE LAW, MY DELIGHT
"My tongue shall declare YOUR promise, for all YOUR commandments are
just. Lend Your hand to help me, for I have chosen YOUR precepts. I have
longed for YOUR salvation, O LORD; Your TEACHING is my delight." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 119. 172 - 174 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Laws of ETERNAL GOD are "holy, and the commandment holy and just and
good." [Romans 7. 12] Since the natural man "grows corrupt according to
the deceitful lusts." [Ephesians 4. 22] It is written, "Cursed is
everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the
BOOK OF THE LAW, to do them. But that no one is justified by the Law in
the sight of GOD is evident, for — the just shall live by faith.
— Yet the Law is not of faith, but — the man who does them shall
live by them." [Galatians 3. 10 - 12]

"May YOUR tender mercy reach me, that I may live; for YOUR TEACHINGS is
my delight." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 77 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Were not
YOUR TEACHINGS my delight I would then have perished in my affliction. I
will never neglect Your precepts for You preserved my life through them.
I am YOURS; Save me! For I have turned to YOUR precepts." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 119. 92 - 94 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

When a person accepts the LORD Yeshua as their MESSIAH & SAVIOR, the old
nature dies and we become a new creation. And with CHRIST in us, we
have the hope of glory. [Colossians 1. 27] "CHRIST has redeemed us
from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us." [Galatians 3.
13] When we have the HEAVENLY MASTER'S Laws in our heart and mind
[Hebrews 1. 16], we keep HIS commands because we love HIM WHO died for
us. "For I delight in the Law of GOD according to the inward man."
[Romans 7. 22]

"Keep MY Commandments and live, MY TEACHING as the apple of your eye."
[Proverbs (Mishle) 7. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The wonderful promises of the
TRUE & LOVING GOD are true, and HE is well pleased when HIS Law is the
apple of our eye.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Sometimes GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, will allow a calamity to
come to see just where our faith lies. Glorify the LORD OF HOSTS by
your steadfast commitment to HIM; and trust your life completely in the
merciful hands of an ULTIMATELY TRIUMPHANT GOD.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Post  Admin Thu 02 Aug 2012, 7:57 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Fear is not a destination. . . it is simply a tour guide.

MAKER & CREATOR
"Come, let us bow down and kneel, bend the knee before the LORD our
MAKER, for HE is our GOD and we are the people HE tends, the flock in
HIS care." [Psalms (Tehillym) 95. 6 - 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

ALMIGHTY GOD is both CREATOR (BARA) and MAKER ('ASAH) of all things,
including the image of GOD in man. In Genesis we are told that GOD
said, "Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness"
[Genesis/Bereshith 1. 26 - 27] and also that HE "created man in HIS
OWN image." [Genesis/Bereshith 1. 2 - 3] Likewise, on the seventh
day, GOD "ceased from all HIS work of creation which HE had made."
[Genesis/Bereshith 2. 3] The terms, CREATOR and MAKER are similar, but
are not the same, although they appear to be used interchangeably.
Creation was called into existence, whereas the work of making is that
of organizing created entities into complex arrangements. Only GOD is
capable and proficient of creating.

HOLY SCRIPTURE states emphatically that the HEAVENLY ARCHITECT created
man in HIS image, and HE also made man in HIS image. Thus, HE called
into existence the spiritual component of man's nature, not shared
in any degree with animals. The MASTER DESIGNER created and made man,
not only with a complex, highly organized human body, but also fashioned
them into that image that GOD HIMSELF would one day assume when HE
became an incarnate human being. In this way HE is both CREATOR and
MAKER of HIS image in each person.

That image has been marred because of sin, but through the redeeming
work of the LORD JESUS, we have been "renewed in knowledge after the
image of HIM that created him — for CHRIST is all and in all."
[Colossians 3. 10] And, the GREAT OMNIPOTENT FASHIONER "will transform
our lowly body that it may be conformed to HIS glorious body."
[Philippians 3. 21] "For we are HIS workmanship, created in MESSIAH
YESHUA for good works, which GOD prepared beforehand that we should walk
in them." [Ephesians 2. 10]

May we each individually humble ourselves and kneel before the LORD GOD
our CREATOR & MAKER and allow HIM to transform us completely into a
chosen, precious and pleasing vessel of service for the KING'S use.
How much more glorious our lives would be if we would allow the
INCREDIBLY WONDROUS MESSIAH complete management.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O GOD, YOU are our REFUGE and our HOPE, we glorify YOUR NAME. YOU are
the LIVING GOD, YOUR WORDS bring life and light to the soul. YOU are the
strength of our life, the ROCK of our salvation. YOUR Kingdom and YOUR
Truth abide forever. Praised are YOU, our REDEEMER, the HOLY ONE of
Israel.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Post  Admin Wed 01 Aug 2012, 8:22 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
When we cannot find our ignorance, you can be sure we have lost our
wisdom.

ADVANTAGES WITH GOD
"What advantage then has the Jew, or what is the profit of circumcision?
Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were committed the ORACLES OF
GOD." [Romans 3. 1 - 2]

All the nations of the world are loved by GOD. [John 3. 16] Therefore,
as an example to the world, the LOVING MIGHTY CREATOR chose one nation
through which HE would convey HIS WORD to everyone and use them as an
example for the others. The Jews — descendants through Abraham,
Isaac, and Jacob — were given the honor of bringing both the Written
Word and the LIVING WORD (YESHUA THE REDEEMER) into the world. As
always, with privileges come great responsibility. Although most Jews
deny both the inspiration of the HOLY SCRIPTURE and the INCARNATE DEITY
of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. "Shall their unbelief make the faith of GOD
without effect? GOD forbid!" [Romans 3. 3 - 4]

The ORACLES OF GOD refers to the actual supernatural utterances (Hebrew:
naba' — prophesy) given by the SPIRIT OF GOD through a human
intercessor. This indicates that the OLD COVENANT should be regarded as
being verbally inspired by the ALMIGHTY LORD GOD OF HOSTS.

In book of Hebrews, emphasis is put on the importance of the first
principles of the ORACLES OF GOD rebuking those believers who have
neglected to learn even the foundational truths of the perfect and
accurate SCRIPTURES: "For though by this time you ought to be teachers,
you need someone to teach you again the first principles of the ORACLES
OF GOD; and you have come to need milk and not solid food. For everyone
who partakes only of milk is unskilled in the WORD OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, for
he is a babe. But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that
is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern
both good and evil." [Hebrews 5. 12 - 14]

The word oracles is used again in the NEW COVENANT: "If any man speak,
let him speak as the oracles of GOD." [1 Peter 4. 11] Here, Peter is
urging anyone with the spiritual gift of teaching to see that his
instructions conform fully to the Words of Omnipotent GOD as revealed in
Holy Scripture. Moses "received the LIVING ORACLES to give to us."
[Acts 7. 38] For that reason there is special notice that the first
five books of HOLY WRIT (TORAH) are especially singled out as the
"Living WORDS" of CREATOR GOD...and they are our life.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Praised are YOU, O LORD GOD, for great is YOUR love for us and YOUR
compassion boundless. Be gracious to us that we may understand and
fulfill the teachings of YOUR REVERED WORD. Enlighten our eyes in YOUR
Law that we may cling to YOUR commandments. Thank YOU for YOUR saving
power, for from YOU comes our help. Draw us nearer to YOU to serve YOU
in faithfulness. Joyfully, we lift our voices and proclaim YOUR PRECIOUS
HOLY NAME.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Post  Admin Tue 31 Jul 2012, 11:29 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In order to rescue the flesh, we must work on the spiritual.

YOUR NAME & WORD
"I bow toward YOUR Holy Temple and praise YOUR NAME for YOUR steadfast
love and faithfulness, because YOU have exalted YOUR NAME, YOUR WORD
above all." [Psalms (Tehillym) 138. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The WORD OF GOD is not greater than GOD, of course, but is greater than
HIS NAME which is immeasurably infinite and magnificent. The NAME of
GOD represents all that HE is and all that HE does and is supremely
deserving of the praise of all HIS creatures.

However, we can only know HIS NAME, what HE is and what HE does through
HIS WORD. The full demonstration or exposition of HIS character of truth
and HIS acts of love and mercy can be discerned only through HIS WRITTEN
WORD, which becomes greater than HIS NAME, by manifesting and revealing
HIS NAME.

"As many as received HIM, to them HE gave the right to become children
of GOD, to those who believe in HIS NAME." [John 1. 12] We believe on
HIS NAME, and thereby receive HIM, by trusting HIS WORD OF TRUTH and
appropriating (claiming, seizing, absorbing) HIS forgiving mercy; we
deny HIS NAME by doubting HIS WORD and despising HIS extended free gift
of salvation. "The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous, HIS ears
attentive their cry. The face of the LORD is set against evildoers, to
erase their names from the earth." [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 15 - 16
Tanakh, Kethuvim; 1 Peter 3. 12]

The WORD OF GOD is LIGHT— "YOUR WORD is a lamp to my feet, a LIGHT
for my path." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 105 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
The WORD OF GOD is TRUTH— "Sanctify them by YOUR TRUTH. YOUR WORD is
TRUTH." [John 17. 17 - 18]
The WORD OF GOD is LIVING & REVITALIZING— "For the WORD OF GOD is
living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even
to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a
discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." [Hebrews 4. 12 -
13]
The WORD OF GOD is PERFECT, SURE, RIGHT, PURE, CLEAN, TRUE,
RIGHTEOUS— "The Law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul; the
testimony of the LORD is enduring, making the simple wise; the statutes
of the LORD are just, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the LORD
is clear, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the LORD is pure, abiding
forever; the judgments of the LORD are true, righteous altogether."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 19. 7 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
The WORD OF GOD is PROFITABLE— "All SCRIPTURE is given by
inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of GOD may be
complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." [2 Timothy 3. 16 -
17]

May the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL, the SAVIOR enable us, in full sincerity of
heart and mind, to bow down and worship the MASTER OF CREATION and HIS
TRUE & HOLY WORD. And in everything believe and obey HIS promises and
HIS commandments.

There are many who charge CHRISTians with placing too much emphasis on
the Written WORD, but it is impossible to place too much emphasis on
SACRED SCRIPTURE, for ALMIGHTY GOD HIMSELF has magnified HIS WORD even
above HIS NAME!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Magnified and hallowed, praised and glorified, exalted and extolled
above all be the NAME of the SUPREME KING of kings, the HOLY ONE,
blessed be HE, in the worlds which HE created, the world and the world
to come, in accordance with HIS desire and with the desire of them that
fear HIM. YOU LORD GOD are the ROCK EVERLASTING, the LORD of all
creatures, the GOD of all souls, WHO dwells in the wide-extended
heights, WHO inhabits the heaven of heavens; WHOSE holiness is far above
the Throne of Glory. We wait for YOUR return to Zion that we may see
you eye-to-eye and behold YOUR goodness, YOUR salvation, and YOUR mercy.

Post  Admin Mon 30 Jul 2012, 9:25 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
If you're offered an inch — take it.

OUR HIDING PLACE
"For in the time of trouble HE will shelter me in HIS pavilion; in the
protection of HIS tabernacle shall HE hide me; HE shall raise me high
upon a ROCK." [Psalms (Tehillym) 27. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

There come times in the life of each believer when the trials become
overwhelming and the whole world seems to be falling apart. Without the
LORD GOD ETERNAL, it is impossible to escape, but with the LOVING MASTER
there is safety and restoration, for HE alone is our "BELOVED HIDING
PLACE."

There are many tender promises in HIS LIFE-GIVING WORD to explicitly
verify this declaration. The "pavilion" is best understood as the
well-protected Tent of the COMMANDING OFFICER. "How abundant is the
good that YOU have in store for those who fear YOU, that YOU do in the
full view of men for those who take refuge in YOU. YOU grant them the
protection of YOUR PRESENCE from prideful scheming man; YOU shelter them
secretly in YOUR pavilion from contentious tongues." [Psalms (Tehillym)
31. 19 - 20 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Here is a wonderful MESSIANIC PROMISE:
"A KING (MESSIAH YESHUA) shall be as a HIDING PLACE from the wind, and a
SHELTER from the rainstorms; as BROOKS OF WATER in a desert, as the
SHADE OF A MASSIVE ROCK in a weary land." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 32. 2
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There, sheltered from the storm, our GRACIOUS FAITHFUL LORD gives
comfort and sweet counsel, until we are able to face the violent storm
victoriously. "O you who dwell in the SECRET PLACE (SHELTER) OF THE
MOST HIGH and abide in the shadowed protection of SHADDAI — I say of
the LORD, my REFUGE and STRONGHOLD, my GOD in WHOM I trust." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 91. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

One of the most beautiful of these promises introduces David's great
"Song of Redemption" — "O LORD, my ROCK, my FORTRESS, my DELIVERER!
O GOD, the ROCK wherein I take shelter; my SHIELD, my MIGHTY CHAMPION,
my HORN OF RESCUE, my STRONGHOLD and my REFUGE! My SAVIOR, YOU WHO
rescues me from violence." [2 Samuel (Shemuel Bet) 22. 2 - 3 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

Our hope is for that wonderful day when "GOD will wipe away every tear
from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying.
There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away."
[Revelation 21. 4] How magnificently glorious that will be for all
eternity!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!!
May your life be a witness and sacrosanct (holy, sacred) witness the
care, love and presence of GOD MOST HIGH. Assuredly, HIS grace is
greater then all our needs!
O GOD, do not keep silent; do not hold aloof; do not be quiet, O EL!
For YOUR enemies rage, YOUR foes assert themselves, they plot craftily
against YOUR people, take counsel against YOUR treasured ones. They say-
"Let us wipe them out as a nation; Israel's name will be
mentioned no more." Deal with them, O my GOD, make them like
thistledown, like chaff driven by the wind, as a fire burns a forest, as
flames scorch the hills, pursue them with YOUR tempest, terrify them
with YOUR storm. Cover their faces with shame so that they seek YOUR
NAME, O YEHOWAH. May they be frustrated and terrified, disgraced and
doomed forever. May they know that YOUR NAME, YOURS alone is YEHOWAH,
the MOST HIGH over all the earth. [see Psalms/Tehillym 83]

Post  Admin Sun 29 Jul 2012, 9:07 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
May the memory of the past impress us with the duty to remain faithful
to our heritage and to be mindful of our obligations.

TISHA B'AV
"By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat, sat and wept, as we thought of
Zion. There on the poplars we hung up our lyres, for our captors asked
us there for songs of joy, our tormentors, for amusement, "Sing us one
of the songs of Zion." How can we sing a song of the LORD on foreign
soil?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 137. 1 - 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

One of the major fast days in Jewish tradition, and a day of historic
mourning in Jewish life is the Ninth of Av. Tisha B'Av is more like a
death than a destruction, because on that day the world changed
irrevocably. The world without the Holy Temple is not the same world
minus one magnificent structure. The world without the Holy Temple is a
totally different world. The Holy Temple was the place ALMIGHTY GOD
chose to meet with HIS people. There the DIVINE PRESENCE manifested
HIMSELF. When the Temple was destroyed, the fragrance of the HOLY ONE
was removed, thus it was a loss as real and as searing as death.

This is a fast day second in importance to the Day of Atonement (Yom
Kippur) in the Jewish year. It is the day of mourning for the
destruction of both Temples. And, it once was kept in remembrance of
the day in the year 558 BCE (Before Common Era/BCE — Before
CHRIST/BC) when the mighty forces of the Babylonian armies under
Nebuchadnezzar laid waste Jerusalem and slaughtered many of its
inhabitants enslaving and exiling the survivors. Also, according to
tradition [Taan 4. 4 Jewish Encyclopedia] the decree concerning Israel's
forty years of wandering in the wilderness was made on the Ninth of Av.

On the Ninth of Av in the year 70 CE (Common Era — After Death/AD)
the Romans swooped down on Jerusalem and destroyed the Second Temple and
almost annihilated the nation of Israel. Tisha b'Av today commemorates
the destruction of the Second Temple rather than that of the First,
recognizing the fact that the second destruction was the greater
catastrophe for the Jewish people. It is marked as "A Day of National
Gloom." In the synagogues the Book of Lamentations is recited to a sad
and mournful melody. The book was written by the Prophet Jeremiah, who
warned the Jews to repent to prevent the fall of Jerusalem, which he
prophesized. His advice not only was ignored, but he also was
imprisoned for stating views that threatened the king's power. The
TORAH Sages also teach that the MESSIAH will be born on Tisha B'Av as a
sign that there is yet redemption in all the destruction.

At midnight there is a lamentation for the destruction of the Temple.
Then, people usually visit the cemetery after the morning service. On
the Ninth of Av in Jerusalem, devout Jews meet at the Kotel (Western
Wall) or visit the Tomb of David, voicing their grief and pain over the
fall of Jerusalem. One of the songs or chants is a mournful hymn known
as "The Wailing Song" which is said to date from the time of Ezra:
"HE is great, HE is good: HE will build HIS Temple speedily:
In great haste, in great haste; in our own day speedily.
LORD, build; LORD, build, build YOUR Temple speedily.
HE will save, HE will save; HE will save HIS Israel speedily;
At this time now, Oh, LORD, in our own day speedily
LORD, save! LORD, save! Save YOUR people, Israel speedily."

One can almost hear the children of Israel praying at the end of the
Feast of Tabernacles on the day of the Great Hosanna: "Save now, I
beseech YOU, LORD!" and see HIM WHO is "THE ANSWER" to their prayer
standing in their midst. The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA is THE TEMPLE REBUILT
— for HE was seemingly destroyed, but on the third day ALMIGHTY GOD
raised HIM from the dead!

The Jew, whose eyes are opened to behold the ANOINTED ONE of whom Moses
and the prophets wrote, has no need to mourn, to have Tisha b'Av day in
his life! Whomever has accepted Yeshua (the LORD JESUS) into their
heart as MESSIAH, LORD & KING can declare with David: " YOU have turned
my lament into dancing, YOU put off my sackcloth and girded me with joy
and gladness, that my whole being might sing hymns to YOU endlessly; O
LORD my GOD, I will praise YOU forever." [Psalms (Tehillym) 30. 11
Tanakh, Kethuvim] May our HEAVENLY FATHER hear our prayers that our
long-awaited MESSIAH JESUS, the SON OF GOD, the SON OF DAVID, the KING
of kings, come quickly. May HIS Holy Temple be rebuilt speedily, even
in our day.

Special Note: Tisha b'Av (9th of Av) should hold significance, not just
for the Jewish people, but for everyone. The threat of terrorism is
worldwide, though most acutely felt and experienced in Israel. Let us
take this day to join hearts with our Israeli and Jewish brethren around
the world and offer united and fervent prayer to our HEAVENLY FATHER,
the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL, the LORD OF HOSTS.

Before the destruction of the 2nd Temple (70 BCE/BC) by the Romans on
the 9th of Av, the Romans had laid siege around Jerusalem, but
sufficient grain had been stored by the inhabitants of the City to
sustain them for 21 years. The leading TORAH sage at the time was Rabbi
Yochanan ben-Zakai who was in favor of pursuing a peace treaty with the
Romans hoping to ward off a war and save the Temple from destruction.
However a group of zealots called the Biryonim had other plans wanting
to force all Jews to take up arms and decided to wreck the economy by
burning down all the granaries, which created a quick and severe famine
in the City. The Romans took advantage of the devastation the zealots
caused and broke through the City walls and eventually destroyed the
Temple.

The actual intent of such practices are in preparation for coming to
grips with Israel's sin (sinat chinam—unfounded hatred) which led to
the loss of the Temple, not just once, but twice. When the spies
returned from the land, there was weeping when there should have been
rejoicing. So, throughout history, GOD has given Israel reason to mourn
on this day, Tisha b'Av, the 9th day of the month of Av. Also, it is
suggested as the day the Wondering Hebrews sided against Joshua and
Caleb's report that the Promised Land could be conquered, thus sinning
with the unfaithful spies. [Numbers/B'Midvar 13. 30 - 31]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
We use all of our senses to bid farewell to Shabbat with the Havdalah
(difference) Service; we taste the wine, smell the spices, see the
shadows of candles, hear prayers & songs, and touch family and friends
as we wish them a "Tov Sha-vu-a (Good Week")!"
May our lips ever declare praises to our KING, HELPER, SAVIOR & SHIELD
for HIS loving-kindness is mighty over us. Commit to obey GOD all the
way to HIS Land of Promised in holiness and integrity of life. Take
advantage of every opportunity to express your overwhelming gratitude
for ALMIGHTY GOD'S goodness and grace to us, and to renew our commitment
to walk in loving obedience all the days of our lives.
May our HEAVENLY FATHER hear our prayers — that our long-awaited
MESSIAH YESHUA, the SON OF DAVID, KING of kings comes quickly. May HIS
Holy Temple be rebuilt speedily, even in our day.

Post  Admin Fri 27 Jul 2012, 9:42 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Fools burn the bridges before they come to them.

PERSECUTED FOR GODLINESS
"If you race with the foot-runners and they exhaust and wearied you, how
then can you compete with horses? If you are not secure in a tranquil
land, how will you fare in the flooding of the Jordan?" [Jeremiah
(Yirmeyah) 12. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

To rephrase the allegory of this SCRIPTURE verse, one might say, "If a
little pain overcomes you, how can you endure the cross?" The OLD & NEW
COVENANTS tell of persecution that would come on those who choose to
live for GOD MOST HIGH. "For even your kinsmen and your father's house,
even they are treacherous toward you. They cry after you as a mob. Do
not believe them when they speak cordially to you." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah)
12. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"Yes, and all who desire to live godly in CHRIST JESUS will suffer
persecution. " [2 Timothy 3. 12] This prophecy should severely impact
and awaken us to know that "perilous times will come in the last days"
and "men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud,
blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving,
unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despises of good,
traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of
GOD, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such
people turn away! Evil men and impostors will grow worse and worse,
deceiving and being deceived." [2 Timothy 3. 1 - 5, 13] All who are
determined to live a GODLY life in the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA are going to
be persecuted!

Because of HIS great love for us, our BLESSED REDEEMER had already
prepared us with the warning or caution, "A servant is not greater than
his master. — If they persecuted ME, they will also persecute you.
If they kept MY WORD, they will keep yours also." [John 15. 20] "For
to you it has been granted on behalf of CHRIST, not only to believe in
HIM, but also TO SUFFER FOR HIS SAKE." [Philippians 1. 29]

"Whoever does not bear his cross and come after ME cannot be MY
disciple." We must "fIRST count the cost." [Luke 14. 27 – 28] Are
we willing to be persecuted to the point of physical suffering,
imprisonment, or death? Most often it appears in an creative,
incisively shrewd form — rejection and ridicule, job and social
discrimination, slander, family and peer pressures, legal restrictions,
and other means of being pressured in order to stop our witnessing.

One way possible to avoid persecution is to stop giving a clear witness.
It is those who insist on living a holy life and giving a GODly witness
who will suffer persecution. But, like Peter, such compromises deny the
ALMIGHTY OMNISCIENT GOD. Instead, we should follow Moses, "choosing
rather to suffer affliction with the people of GOD than to enjoy the
passing pleasures of sin, esteeming the reproach of CHRIST greater
riches than the treasures in Egypt; for he looked to the reward."
[Hebrews 11. 25 - 26]

We maintain spiritual stability when the hard times come by knowing that
we will finish up in glory having traveled a path of suffering. There
was no resurrection of MESSIAH without a cross — in the same way,
there is no eternal glory without some degree of earthly suffering. The
call of the LIVING GOD involves earthly suffering because through it we
magnify HIS power to keep us and demonstrate HIS grace in our weakness.

The Apostle Paul finished his course in martyrdom, thus qualified for
the treasures in MESSIAH YESHUA, for he kept the faith to the end. "I
have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the
faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the Crown of Righteousness,
which CHRIST THE LORD, the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE, will give to me on that Day,
and not to me only but also to all who have loved HIS appearing." [2
Timothy 4. 7 - 8] Then Paul added, "For our light affliction, which is
but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal
weight of glory, while we do not look at the things which are seen, but
at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are
temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal." [2
Corinthians 4. 17 - 18]

"Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been
approved, he will receive the Crown of Life which the LORD has promised
to those who love HIM." [James 1. 12] Until we are truly faithful and
obedient, we still labor to enter rest, but in the LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH there is great reward and perfect rest. Never lose sight of
the crown of glory reserved for those who remain faithful to the end. It
will be worth it all, when we see JESUS, our GRACIOUS SHEPHERD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Faith celebrates even before the victory is seen!
Infinite as YOUR power, even so is YOUR love, O LORD OF HOSTS. YOU led
us into the way of righteousness and brought us to the light of truth.
Therefore, at our lying down and our rising up, we meditate on YOUR
TEACHINGS and at all times rejoice in YOUR Laws. In them are true life
and length of days. O that YOUR love may never depart from our hearts.
Praised are YOU, O LORD, WHO loves YOUR people.

Post  Admin Wed 25 Jul 2012, 9:31 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Often we create our own deafness; then grow so familiar with our
deafness that the thought of hearing becomes frightening.

YET I WILL TRUST HIM
"Though HE slay me, yet will I trust HIM; even so, I will argue my case
before HIM. HE too shall be my salvation; for no impious man can come
into HIS presence." [Job (Iyob) 13. 15 - 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

According to CREATOR GOD'S OWN testimony, the patriarch Job was the
"most perfect (Hebrew: tam), blameless and upright man — there is no
one like him on earth." [Job (Iyob) 1. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Yet, he was
subjected to the most severe testing anyone (excluding MESSIAH YESHUA
HIMSELF) ever had to endure. Job lost all his great possessions and
his family in a single day (except his wife. . . whom the MISHNA calls
"his rib of stumbling"), then was afflicted for months on end with a
most loathsome and painful disease. He lost the respect of all who had
once honored and followed him and was even accused by his closest
friends of being a "wicked sinner" and "arrogant hypocrite."

Worst of all, EL SHADDAI, WHOM Job had loved and faithfully served all
his life had apparently completely ignored his prayers for deliverance,
or even for understanding of what was happening to him. Finally, a
presumptuous young religionist related what he (falsely) claimed was a
"divine message" that even the HEAVENLY MASTER had accused Job of sin
and hypocrisy.

Little did Job know, that the OMNIPOTENT ALMIGHTY ONE was bragging to
ha-Satan (the Adversary) about HIS faithful servant: "Have you noticed
MY servant Job? There is no one like him on earth, a blameless
(tam/perfect) and upright man who fears ELOHIYM and shuns evil!" [Job
(Iyob) 1. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim] It was the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN HIMSELF
WHO was allowing the Adversary to afflict Job as a test to prove to
Satan that Job would remain faithful. GOD, the CREATOR of all things,
LORD OF HEAVEN & EARTH, wanted to prove to the Adversary that man,
without ever seeing HIM, would be more faithful then Satan, who had seen
GOD the ALMIGHTY. Thus, showing that the LOVING MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE
is definitely wise and that the Lake of Fire is where the Adversary,
the Devil belongs — because he did not remain faithful to the MOST
HIGH, but Job would and did!

Despite all the afflictions brought by Satan, Job never once lost his
faith! Job kept his integrity and declared: "Though HE slay me, yet
will I trust in HIM" — Job insistently resolved. . . "for I know
that my VINDICATOR, the REDEEMER lives" and "HE also shall be my
SALVATION." [Job (Iyob) 19. 25 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

What an example has been provided us by this ancient patriarch, whose
knowledge of GOD'S WORD, GOD'S love, and GOD'S great salvation through
faith in the LORD MessiaH YesHUA was only a small fraction of what we
know now with GOD'S complete revelation before us. The Apostle James
well reminds us to "take the prophets, who spoke in the name of the
LORD, as an example of suffering and patience. Indeed we count them
blessed who endure. You have heard of the perseverance of Job and seen
the end intended by the LORD — that the LORD is very compassionate
and merciful." [James 5. 10 - 11]

We should, like Job, know the SOVEREIGN ONE WHO created us deserves our
utmost and complete trust. Could the Merciful HOLY CREATOR brag about
you?

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Life's challenges work out for the best, when we recognize what appear
to be obstacles as opportunities to develop ourselves for the better and
recognize that all things come from OMNIPOTENT GOD'S invisible hand that
guides our lives. Daily, read the TORAH: When you walk, it shall lead
you; when you lie down, it shall watch over you; and when you awake, it
shall talk to you.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Neither steam nor gas can drive anything until it is confined
likewise, no one ever grows great and useful until they are focused,
dedicated and disciplined.

WRITTEN IN THE EARTH
"Then the scribes and Pharisees brought to HIM (YESHUA) a woman caught
in adultery. And when they had set her in the midst, they said to
HIM TEACHER, this woman was caught in adultery, in the very act.
Now Moses, in the Law, commanded us that such should be stoned. But what
do YOU say?" [John 8. 3 - 5]

The setting is the woman taken in adultery and the Scribes and Pharisees
bring her to MESSIAH YESHUA to test HIM so they might have something of
which to accuse HIM. The LORD YESHUA simply stooped down and wrote on
the ground with HIS finger, as though HE were ignoring them. [John 8. 1
- 10] They continued asking the LORD questions and so "HE raised
HIMSELF up and said to them He who is without sin among you, let
him throw a stone at her first. And again HE stooped down and
wrote on the ground." [John 8. 6 - 8]

There are many guesses as to what the LORD wrote, but according to the
Jeremiah text, it was their names , as well as their individual sin
as a form of judgment and the Law attacked their conscience.
"All who forsake YOU shall be put to shame Those in the land who
turn from YOU shall be doomed, INSCRIBED IN THE EARTH, for they have
forsaken the LORD, the FOUNTAIN OF LIVING WATERS." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah)
17. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"Then, those who heard, being convicted by their conscience, went out
one by one, BEGINNING WITH THE OLDEST EVEN TO THE LAST. And JESUS was
left alone, and the woman standing in the midst (of the multitude)."
[John 8. 9] The LOVING REDEEMER, then said to her, "Neither do I
condemn you; go and sin no more." [John 8. 11] The one whom much is
forgiven, is often the one who loves the most. [Luke 7. 47]

Where is your name written??? The RIGHTEOUS JUDGE of the whole world
desires that we put our trust under the shadow of HIS wings. Whoever
chooses HIM will be abundantly satisfied and HE will give them the right
to drink from the RIVER OF LIFE. [Psalms/Tehillym 36. 7 - 9] And,
YESHUA the KING of all ages will write their names in the LAMB'S BOOK OF
LIFE and have a specially prepared place in the New Heavens and the New
Earth [Revelation 21. 27] where righteousness dwells. You should
"rejoice because your names are written in heaven." [Luke 10. 20] How
marvelous! How wonderful!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
May our HEAVENLY FATHER hear our prayersthat our long-awaited
MESSIAH YESHUA, the SON OF DAVID, KING of kings comes quickly. And, may
YOUR Holy Temple be rebuilt speedily, even in our day. Amen & Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Post  Admin Mon 23 Jul 2012, 11:16 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Imagined or pretentious intelligence is a fitting companion for natural
idiocy. The wise understand, fools do not.

NATIONS OF FOOLS
"For the wrath of GOD is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness
and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness. "
[Romans 1. 18]

Mankind is without excuse, although they knew the MIGHTY CREATOR, they
refused to glorify HIM as GOD SUPREME and are unthankful, futile in
their thoughts, obscure in heart, "professing to be wise, they became
fools. Therefore GOD also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of
their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged
the truth of GOD for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature
rather than the CREATOR, WHO is blessed forever, Amen. For this reason
GOD gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the
natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving
the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men
with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the
penalty of their error which was due. And even as they did not like to
retain GOD in their knowledge, GOD gave them over to a debased mind, to
do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all
unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness,
maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness;
they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of GOD, violent, proud,
boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who,
knowing the Righteous Judgment of GOD, that those who practice such
things are worthy of death, not only do the same but also approve of
those who practice them." [Romans 1. 20 - 32]

The WONDROUS LORD GOD has such a high view of sex that HE will not
permit it to be defiled, as man persists in doing so openly today.
There are specific sexual relationships and practices the RIGHTEOUS HOLY
ONE has forbidden. [see Leviticus/Vayikra 18] Still further, there are
those practices the SOVEREIGN KING considers to be "abominations
(intensely loathsome, detestable, shameful offense)." "YEHOWAH spoke to
Moses saying: Speak to the Israelite people and say to them— I
YEHOWAH am your GOD— Do not lie with a male as one lies with a
woman; it is an abomination (also women with women). Do not have carnal
relations with any beast and defile yourself thereby; and let no woman
lend herself to a beast to mate with it; it is perversion." [Leviticus
(Vayikra) 18. 1 - 2, 22 - 23 Tanakh, Torah] "If a man lies with a male
as one lies with a woman, the two of them have done an abhorrent thing;
they shall be put to death — their bloodguilt is upon them
(including women with women)." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 20. 13 Tanakh,
Torah]

There is anguish, trouble, sorrow and woe to the nations that legalize
and allow wrong sexual practices. As the ALMIGHTY, FAITHFUL & TRUE ONE
declared, "Do not defile yourselves in any of those ways, for it is by
such that the nations that I am casting out before you defiled
themselves. Thus the land became defiled; and I called it to account for
its iniquity, and the land spewed out its inhabitants. But you must keep
MY laws and MY rules, and you must not do any of those abhorrent things,
neither the citizens nor the stranger who resides among you; for all
those abhorrent things were done by the people who were in the land
before you, and the land became defiled. So let not the land spew you
out for defiling it, as it spewed out the nation that came before you.
All who do any of those abhorrent things — such persons shall be cut
off from their people. You shall keep MY charge not to engage in any of
the abhorrent practices that were carried on before you, and you shall
not defile yourselves through them: I YEHOWAH am your GOD." [Leviticus
(Vayikra) 20. 24 - 30 Tanakh, Torah] "THOSE WHO ARE SEXUALLY IMMORAL
SHALL HAVE THEIR PART IN THE LAKE THAT BURNS WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE,
WHICH IS THE SECOND DEATH." [Revelation 21. 8]

We are commanded to "warn those who are unruly, comfort the
fainthearted, uphold the weak, be patient with all. See that no one
renders evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue what is good both for
yourselves and for all." [1 Thessalonians 5. 14 - 15]

America (and most, if not all, other countries) are on a collision
coarse with the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE for they are abhorrently defiant of
GOD'S WRITTEN WORD thus we have defiled the land by doing what the HOLY
ONE warned against. If we do not change our ways, we will certainly
face the wrath of SOVEREIGN OMNISCIENT CREATOR as HE brings the "Great
Tribulation" on the whole world around us for the unrepentant and
stubborn hearts who knowingly have rejected GOD'S LIFE-GIVING WORD
regarding sexual practices. Turn to HIM now before it is too late. . .
HE is willing to forgive!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
O LORD GOD, pardon our many transgressions against YOU, remove our
guilt and blot out our iniquities just as YOU promised: I, even I, blot
out your iniquities for MY OWN sake, and your sins I will remember no
more. I have made your sins to vanish like a cloud and your
transgressions like a mist; return to ME for I have redeemed you. I will
forgive and cleanse you from all your sins when you turn to ME with your
whole heart.
May you receive blessings in abundance as you rest and fellowship with
the LORD GOD of heaven!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Blessed be the generation in which the "great in wisdom" accept the
authority of "the humble."

SEARCH FOR WISDOM
"Where can wisdom be found? and where is the source of understanding? "
[Job (Iyob) 28. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Men have been searching for this most precious of all treasures since
time began. Eve, when tempted by Satan to believe that the "forbidden
fruit" would make her wise, fell into sin. Likewise, long before Abram
left Ur of the Chaldeans, the Patriarch Job (Iyob) was asking this old,
frequent inquiry of his three judgmental, fault-finding friends; but
they could not answer.

Job states: "Man sets his hand against the flinty rock and overturns
mountains by the roots. He carves out channels through rock; his eyes
behold every precious thing. He dams up the sources of the streams so
that hidden things may be brought to light." [Job (Iyob) 28. 9 - 11
Tanakh, Kethuvim] "But, where can wisdom be found; where is the source
of understanding? No man can set a value on it; it cannot be found in
the land of the living." [Job (Iyob) 28. 12 - 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Truly, wisdom cannot be mined nor can it be purchased even with the
finest gold or precious stones.

There is a way to ascertain and learn true wisdom — it is found only
in the NEVER-FAILING ONE HIMSELF, for "GOD understands the way to it; HE
knows the source." [Job (Iyob) 28. 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim] In truth, the
ALMIGHTY CREATOR is THE SOURCE. "For HE sees to the ends of the earth,
observes all that is beneath the heavens. When HE fixed the weight of
the winds, set the measure of the waters; when HE made a rule for the
rain and a course for the thunderstorms, then HE saw it and gauged it;
HE measured it and probed it. HE said to man, 'See! Fear of the LORD is
wisdom; and to shun and depart evil is understanding. '" [Job (Iyob) 28.
24 - 28 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

True wisdom is to be found in the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA "WHO became for us
WISDOM from GOD." [1 Corinthians 1. 30] In CHRIST JESUS THE LORD "are
hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge." [Colossians 2. 3]
We find wisdom in HIS WRITTEN WORD, the HOLY SCRIPTURES. "Let the WORD
OF THE LORD dwell in you richly in all wisdom." [Colossians 3. 16]

If a person desires wisdom, REAL WISDOM, they will find it only in
reverently fearing the LORD GOD, departure from all evil, and receiving
the precious MESSIAH YESHUA as REDEEMER, SAVIOR, SOVEREIGN LORD & KING.
Wisdom comes through the diligent search to learn HIS ways and obeying
them. "For the LORD grants wisdom; knowledge and discernment are by HIS
decree. HE reserves ability for the upright and is a SHIELD for those
who live blamelessly, guarding the paths of justice, protecting the way
of those loyal to HIM. You will then understand what is right, just, and
equitable — every good course. For wisdom will enter your mind and
knowledge will delight you." [Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 6 - 10 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] Go forth then and learn — never loosing sight of the
crown of glory reserved for you by none other than the CAPTAIN of our
faith.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbos, we share the blessed hope that every day
will be as sweet as Shabbat…a rest of love freely given in truth and
sincerity — a rest in peace and tranquility, quiet and safety —
a perfect rest in which you find favor of the LORD YESHUA! Enjoy
tranquility and harmony as you place all your trust and hope in MESSIAH!
Have a good week.

Post  Admin Sat 21 Jul 2012, 10:25 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There is a sad emptiness in the lives of those who have not found their
joy in faith, hope, and love which can come only with a relationship
with the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA. Service of the heart, that is true
prayer.

HOLY PERFUME
"And the LORD said to Moses— Take the herbs stacte, onycha, and
galbanum — these herbs together with pure frankincense; let there be
an equal part of each." [Exodus (Shemot) 30. 34 Tanakh, Torah]

Stacte is supposed to be the gum of the storax tree found in the East.
It is a "dew drop" like gum that can only be gathered in the morning
(almost certainly this is myrrh). "Dew" always refers to inspiration.
Stacte is mentioned first — inspiration is needed at the beginning.

Onycha comes from a sweet smelling shell found on the shores of the Red
Sea and the Indian Ocean. It is said to increase the fragrance of other
perfumes, and to be the basis of perfumes made in the East Indies (when
burning it emitted an odor resembling musk...very costly). There are
two places where it can be obtained:
* From an aromic mussel from the sea. . .the shell is removed by a
concussion of sound.
* The nail is removed from certain animals and the cartilage underneath
is lifted off. These are ground up and oil is squeezed out to become a
fragrant perfume. This oil comes only after there has been a death.
There is an aspect in worship that comes only after the death of the
flesh. There are things in us that must die...rendered powerless.
Prophecy works, at times, as a concussion of sound. It has a message
that breaks the hardness without damaging the spirit. Prophecy can
release worship from within us.

Galbanum is the juice of a shrub growing in Arabia, Persia, India and
Africa. The shrub is slit at night, as you would slit a rubber tree.
It has a pungent, disagreeable odor and was mixed with the other
ingredients to increase and retain its fragrance longer. The gum that
oozes out is used for perfume. This speaks of woundings and brokenness
in us. Brokenness is essential in true worship. Brokenness is a process
of the SPRIT OF GOD and it comes from deep within us. Often, we are too
hard in our spirit and there is a need to be broken.

Pure Frankincense {Frankincense means "to be white"} is the most
important of the aromatic gums and is regarded by itself as a precious
perfume. It comes from a tree that grows abundantly in India. The
whitish juice hardens in forms of tears or irregular lumps. The word
pure used here refers to the free flowing and liberal giving forth of
its odors. It is useful as a medicine and an antidote to poison. Very
striking indeed is the prominence of the number five in this spice.
{Five is the number showing GOD'S GRACE, which reflects HIS GLORY in
this world.}

The frankincense flower has five petals and stamens. The fruit is
five-sided, and there are five species of the plant. It is a
preservative; this in the realm of the spiritual is GOD'S part, the
preserving. . . HE HIMSELF is the life that preserves. HIS life in us
is part of true worship.

All three spices were for the holy perfume of the Incense Altar; all
were obtained from a form of life of some kind which gave of itself.
The stacte oozed forth spontaneously from a growing tree; the onycha
came from a crab in the depths of the Red Sea which gave up its life;
the galbanum spice came from crushed leaves; the frankincense came from
a tree which was pierced. How like the HOLY SPIRIT'S work through the
GREAT HIGH PRIEST and our EXAMPLE in serving GOD MOST HIGH. For YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH was the STACTE, spontaneous in worship; HE is the ONYCHA,
sincere in the depths of HIS heart; as the GALBANUM, broken and
contrite; as the FRANKINCENSE, the ONE WHO was pierced! All worship
must be through HIM WHO gave up HIS life that we might come into the
Holiest Place with the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL!

All the ingredients were of equal weight and measure (perfect balance).
The work of the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD is equally given, all of it is
important. HE does not do one kind of work above another.

"When you make this incense, you must not make any in the same
proportions for yourselves; it shall be held by you sacred to the LORD."
[Exodus (Shemot) 30. 37 Tanakh, Torah] This perfume was not to be made
by man for himself or for gratification of the flesh to use
extravagantly. But, it was holy...therefore, ONLY for the worship of
our HOLY LORD GOD OF HOSTS.

It is by the GREAT COMFORTER, the "COMPOSITION MOST HOLY" that is made
for the LORD by which we come into HIS ABIDING PRESENCE. We do not
enter GOD'S PRESENCE through carnal means or use methods concocted by
man; neither do we worship GOD in a manner that pleases the flesh, for
GOD is SPIRIT and seeks those to worship HIM in SPIRIT & TRUTH. There
is only one way of worship; it is GOD'S WAY. Man's efforts are
ineffective and vain for "It is not by might, nor by power, but by MY
SPIRIT — says the LORD OF HOSTS." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 4. 6
Tanakh, Nevi'im] How very perfect is our INCREDIBLY WONDERFUL GOD,
such amazing love.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
HOLY LORD GOD be gracious to us that we may understand and fulfill the
Teachings of YOUR WORD. Enlighten our eyes in YOUR law that we may cling
to YOUR commandments, for freedom of the soul reigns when we observe
YOUR commandments. Unite our hearts to love and revere YOU. Praised are
YOU, O GOD, WHO in YOUR love has called YOUR people to serve YOU in
sincerity and truth.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
To sacrifice what you are and to live without belief, that is a fate
more terrible than dying. [Joan of Arc]

CUSTOMS — MAGEN (Star) DAVID
"A STAR shall rise from Jacob; a SCEPTER comes forth from Israel."
[Numbers (Vayikra) 24. 17 Tanakh, Torah]

The flag (standard of the twelve tribes of Israel) of the Jewish nation
is white with two horizontal stripes of blue, in the center of which is
an interlaced double triangle intertwined, signifying proximity and
strength in their relationship one with the other; it is called "Magen
David" or "Shield of David." The white denoting righteousness and blue,
a symbol of heaven with its glory and power. These two colours are
mentioned in HOLY SCRIPTURE as a sign of royalty: "Mordecai left the
king's presence in royal robes of Blue and White, with a magnificent
crown of gold and a mantle of fine linen and purple wool." [Esther
(Ester) 8. 15 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

According to an ancient Jewish tradition, the ALMIGHTY ONE HIMSELF
presented King David with the pattern for his shield and the ensign
under which the army of Israel would triumph. The center double
triangle is placed in such a manner as to form a six-pointed star,
therefore it is most commonly known as "The Star of David." Some claim
its origin with Abraham because of the MOST HOLY ONE'S promise to him:
"The WORD OF THE LORD came to Avram saying— I am a SHIELD to you;
your exceedingly GREAT REWARD." [Genesis (Bereshith) 15. 1 Tanakh,
Torah]

There are many interpretations as to the meaning of the six-points in
the Star (Shield, Magen) of David. Some Jewish teachers have held that
the six-points of the star represent the OMNIPRESENCE of GOD in all six
earthly directions: East, West, North, and South, also Up and Down.
Others teach that the triangle pointing downward to the earth represents
man in his triune-being: Body, Soul, and Spirit. The triangle pointing
upward toward heaven represents the GODHEAD, a mystery which they feel
will be explained when the MESSIAH comes!

When we, who believe in YESHUA ha'MASHIACH look upon the Magen David,
there is presented to us a beautiful picture of the relationship of the
TRIUNE GOD (FATHER, SON, HOLY SPIRIT) with the man HE created in HIS OWN
IMAGE. We also see in the triangle pointing downward from heaven a type
of our GOD WHO came to earth in the form of a MAN as it was prophesied
HE would. The triangle pointing upward toward heaven, YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH, reaching OMNISCIENT GOD for us. Also in the intertwining
of these two triangles, it is brought to our attention the close
fellowship of man with his LIVING, LOVING CREATOR GOD which was made
possible by the reconciliation accomplished on the Altar of Calvary!

How wonderful a portrait of the HOLY GOD and GOD'S image even portrayed
in the Jewish Flag — the White of it depicting the righteousness of
the LORD JESUS placed upon us the moment we believe in HIM; the Blue of
it speaking forth the power, glory and majesty of the SOVEREIGN KING,
also granted to us as our inheritance in YESHUA ha'MASHIACH; the
intertwined double triangle at the center speaking to us of the will of
ALMIGHTY GOD concerning each one of HIS OWN that we be conformed to the
image of HIS SON. It also speaks of GOD dwelling in HIS people, and HIS
people dwelling in HIM. This is amazing, simply amazing!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! For the TORAH, for the privilege of worship, for the
prophets, and for this Sabbath Day, given us for sanctification and
rest, for honor and for glory, let us thank and bless the LORD our GOD!
Have a good Sabbath! Honor the Sabbath by keeping it holy that you may
enter the gates of Jerusalem as kings and princes.
May GOD'S blessings be on those who seek HIM in spirit and in truth.
The GREAT NAME OF ALMIGHTY GOD will be magnified and sanctified in the
world which HE has created.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The LORD GOD is totally committed to being GOD. Those who know this
rejoice through faith, for the ALL-SUFFICIENT ONE gives us what we
don't deserve —GRACE! Knowing this is imperative.

HARDENED HEARTS
"It was the LORD'S doing to stiffen their hearts to give battle to
Israel, in order that they might be proscribed without quarter and wiped
out, as the LORD had commanded Moses." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 11. 20 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

The righteous severity of the Almighty Awesome One is shown in HIS
command to utterly destroy the Canaanites. "When the LORD your GOD
brings you to the land that you are about to enter and possess, and HE
dislodges many nations before you — the Hittites, Girgashites,
Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, seven nations
much larger than you — and the LORD your GOD delivers them to you
and you defeat them, you must doom them to destructions: grant them no
terms and give them no quarters." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 7. 1 - 2
Tanakh, Torah] It was irreproachable GOD ALMIGHTY HIMSELF WHO hardened
the hearts of the Canaanites so that Joshua could destroy them.

The BLESSED MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE is not only loving, but also holy and
righteous. "The LORD seeks out the righteous man, but loathes the
wicked one who loves injustice." [Psalms (Tehillym) 11. 5 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] And, GOD does "not change." [Malachi/Malakhi 3. 6] In the
NEW COVENANT, ALMIGHTY GOD is also called a "CONSUMING FIRE" [Hebrews
12. 29], and we are admonished that "the wages of sin is death." [Romans
6. 23] "The LORD JESUS is revealed from heaven with HIS mighty angels,
in FLAMING FIRE taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on
those who do not obey the GOSPEL of our LORD JESUS CHRIST." [2
Thessalonians 1. 7 - 8]

As for those seven nations (Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites,
Perizzites, Hivites & Jebusites) that were to be fully destroyed, the
MIGHTY ONE OF ISRAEL had given them 400 years to repent.
[Genesis/Bereshith 15. 13 - 16] But with each generation, they drew
further and further away from their LOVING MASTER. They were practicing
every form of depravity and iniquity known to man. Therefore, GOD in
HIS great mercy to future generations, decreed their destruction.

Like Pharaoh at the time of the Exodus, the peoples had already hardened
their own hearts toward GOD, so the OMNIPOTENT ONE now hardened their
hearts against Israel. Thinking they could destroy GOD'S people,
they only hastened their well-deserved end. The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL is
the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE, thus it is our responsibility to choose to serve
HIM in reverence and godly fear. Certainly, we will each give account
for our choices.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
What we can accomplish on our own is hardly noteworthy. But, with the
hand of the MASTER DESIGNER in our life, great and marvelous things
happen.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Post  Admin Thu 19 Jul 2012, 11:22 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Truth hurts — not the searching after; the running from!

MY OWN FAMILIAR FRIEND
"Even MY own familiar friend in whom I trusted, even he who shares MY
bread, has lifted up his heel against me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 41. 9
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

These are the words MESSIAH quoted fulfilling SCRIPTURE, when HE was
eating the Passover meal with HIS disciples. [John 13. 18, 21 - 30]
YESHUA, the TRUE-VINE, knew who would betray HIM, HIS old and dear
friend whom HE had spent much time with; for YESHUA spent many days with
HIS friends in the small town of Bethany.

Judas Iscariot, was one of the twelve that JESUS selected to follow HIM.
[Matthew 10. 4; Mark 3. 19; Luke 6. 19] The name Judas is from the
Hebrew word for Yehuda (Judah) meaning celebrated. And, Iscariot is a
combination of two words: the Hebrew word for man is "ish" and "kiriot"
could mean either "buildings, or a city" — thus Iscariot simply
means "a man (from the city) of Kerioth."

It is said that Judas came from Kerioth of Judah near Jericho. He
therefore, was a Judean while the rest of the disciples of YESHUA were
Galilean. He was the son of Simon. [John 6. 71] Is there more hidden
identity to Judas then is commonly known? As you put HOLY SCRIPTURE
together with names and surroundings, you can see more insight to Judas,
one that may be pointing to his other well-known and beloved relatives
for we read that Mary (Miryam), the sister of Martha and Lazarus were
continually in the home of Simon the leper. Were they also Simon's
children?

YESHUA often visited and stayed with Lazarus of Bethany, the town of
Mary and her sister Martha. [John 11. 1 - 2] Bethany is where the LORD
JESUS was at the house of Simon the leper where a woman came to HIM
having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it
on HIS head as HE sat at the table. [Matthew 26. 6 - 7; Mark 14. 3 - 9;
Luke 7. 36 - 50; John 12. 1 - 8] This was Mary, the sister of Martha
and Lazarus (and possibly Judah Iscariot). Was Mary (identified as the
sinful woman) invited to the home of Simon, a devout Pharisee, or was
this her home where she lived with her father, brothers and sister?

Was it was her own brother, Judas Iscariot, Simon's son who, since
he was in his father's house could openly state, "Why this waste?
Why was this fragrant oil not sold for three hundred denarii and given
to the poor?" [John 12. 5] Was Mary's father, Simon, who knowing
his daughter, could emphatically expressed "This MAN, if HE were a
prophet, would know who and what manner of woman this is who is touching
HIM, for she is a sinner." [Luke 7. 39]

Judas Iscariot, the traitor of the BELOVED MESSIAH, is the supreme
enigma of the NEW COVENANT because it is so hard to see how anyone who
was so close to YESHUA, seeing the many miracles and hearing the
MASTER'S teachings could ever betray HIM into the hands of HIS
enemies. Judas, a covetous, greedy, materialistic and dishonest man used
his position as treasurer to embezzle from the common purse. [John 12.
6] He had neither the understand nor a heart for GOD, so being bitterly
disappointed when he saw his worldly dream fade, Judas hanged himself
after betraying his long-time FRIEND, the LORD OF GLORY.

There is no certain reason as to why Judas betrayed the PRINCE OF PEACE;
but it was not his betrayal that put the LORD YESHUA on the cross —
it was our sins.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Praises YOU LORD, our KING, our GREAT GOD & GOD of our fathers, may our
lives be a continual act of worship to YOU. Teach us to be satisfied
with the gifts of YOUR goodness and gratefully rejoice in YOUR many
mercies to us. Purify our hearts, make us zealous for YOUR Law that we
may serve YOU in truth that brings rest and joy, peace and comfort
throughout every generation. Guard our mouth that YOUR NAME be kept
holy, May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart, be
acceptable to YOU, O LORD, my ROCK and my REDEEMER. Amen!

Post  Admin Tue 17 Jul 2012, 2:48 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
One good deed has many claimants.

144,000 JEWISH WITNESSES
"And I heard the number of those who were sealed. One hundred and
forty-four thousand of all the Tribes of the Children of Israel were
sealed." [Revelation 7. 4]

Every cult ranging from British Israel to the Watch Tower to all other
perfidious, dishonest deceivers impersonating true CHRISTian
organizations proclaim that they are this "chosen designated number" of
ALMIGHTY GOD'S people. They allege that it cannot be the literal
12-Tribes of Israel, sons of Jacob, because Dan and Ephraim are missing
in the count. [Revelation 7. 5 - 8] However, they are in great error.
Omitting information in the HOLY SCRIPTURES, has as profound and
substantial reasons as does its giving of information.

It is important to know who these 144,000 sealed Israelites are and the
important position they have in the prophetic plan of the TRUE & LIVING
MIGHTY GOD for the End Times that are nearly upon us. These, special
and selected number from Israel's Tribes, are the ones who will go
throughout the whole world preaching ("following the LAMB wherever HE
goes") at the time of "Jacob's Trouble (The Great Tribulation) " —
while the great and terrible wrath of the RIGHTEOUS & HOLY ONE is being
poured out on the whole face of the earth. "Then I looked, and behold,
a LAMB standing on Mount Zion, and with HIM 144,000 having HIS FATHER'S
NAME written on their foreheads. These are the ones who were not defiled
with women, for they are virgins. These are the ones who follow the LAMB
wherever HE goes. These were redeemed from among men being first-fruits
to GOD and to the LAMB. And in their mouth was found no guile (deceit),
for they are without fault before the Throne of GOD." [Revelation 14. 1,
4 - 5]

The documented record of the 12-Tribes of Israel has 12,000 virgin men
from each selected tribe [Revelation 7. 5 - 8] listed is as follows:
Judah, Reuben, Gad, Asher, Naphtali, Manasseh, Simeon, Levi, Issachar,
Zebulun, Joseph and Benjamin. These are all exclusively and clearly
named Tribes of Israel (the sons of Jacob). From studying the
SCRIPTURES OF TRUTH, we know from Genesis 48 that Israel (Jacob) gave
Joseph a double-portion along with his brothers. Jacob (Israel) claimed
both of Joseph's sons, Ephraim and Manasseh, as equal heirs of the
inheritance of Israel along with each of Israel's (Jacob) other
sons...making a total of 14 Tribes. "Now your two sons, who were born
to you in the land of Egypt before I came to you in Egypt, shall be
mine; Ephraim and Manasseh shall be mine even as Reuben and Simeon are
mine." [Genesis (Bereshit) 48. 5 Tanakh, Torah]

In the Book of Exodus, the tribe of Levi was set apart as the priestly
tribe, leaving 13 national tribes. But in Revelation 7:5-8, Levi is
named again along with the tribe of Joseph. These take the place of the
tribes of Dan and Ephraim resulting in a representation of 12 actual
Tribes of Israel from which the 144,000 designated number are taken.

Then, why are Dan and Ephraim missing in this list?? The ALL-KNOWING,
ALL-WISE Creator GOD does everything perfect and is orderly! The name
Dan means "judge." This is not a time of judgment, but for "witnessing. "
And, a judge is not a witness.

Ephraim means "first-fruit. " The number "144,000" is a fixed number. . .
not the first-fruits of more to come of like kind, but they are clearly
set apart as first-fruits for that specific purpose and time (the last 3
½ years). The 144,000 Israelites are a unique one-of-a-kind group to
be "witnesses of GOD and the LAMB." They are distinct from other men in
that "they sang a new song before the Throne, before the four living
creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song except the
hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the earth."
[Revelation 14. 3]

Dan and Ephraim are only excluded from this specified group. The
MERCIFUL & COMPASSIONATE GOD OF ISRAEL has not banished the nation of
Israel and the "12 Patriarchs" are special to HIM. The ETERNAL ONE
cannot lie. HE keeps all HIS promises ["The Promise" — see
Genesis/Bereshith 17. 6-9] including those made with Abraham, Isaac, and
Jacob (Israel). In the Book of Ezekiel where the "Gates of the Holy
City" are described, Dan is again mentioned as having one of the "Gates"
named after himself, showing he still has a place in GOD'S Kingdom.
[Ezekiel/Yehezke- El 48. 32; Revelation 21. 12-13] Also, Dan has the
first portion of land assigned to him in the Kingdom Age.
[Ezekiel/Yehezke- El 48. 1]

Ephraim receives a land portion in the Kingdom [Ezekiel/Yehezke- El 48.
5] and his father, Joseph (in whom Ephraim would be incorporated) has a
"Gate in the Holy City" named after him. [Ezekiel/Yehezke- El 48. 32;
Revelation 21. 12-13]

The GREAT OMNISCIENT CREATOR OF HEAVEN & EARTH has a "Continuing
Covenant" with the Jewish people. "Thus said the LORD: As surely as I
have established MY covenant with day and night — the laws of heaven
and earth — so I will NEVER reject the offspring of Jacob and MY
servant David; I will NEVER fail to take from his offspring rulers for
the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Indeed, I will restore
their fortunes and take them back in love." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 33.
25-26 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There is another prophetic warning to those who imprudently declare they
are the 144,000 Witness of the MOST HIGH. This warning comes direct
from the mouth of "THE HOLY ONE" WHO holds the seven stars in HIS right
hand, WHO walks in the midst of the seven Golden Lampstands— "I
know the blasphemy of those who say they are Jews and are NOT, but are a
synagogue of Satan. Indeed I will make those of the synagogue of Satan,
WHO SAY THEY ARE JEWS AND ARE NOT, but LIE — indeed I will make them
come and worship before your feet, and to know that I have loved you."
[Revelation 2. 9; 3. 9]

It is not wise to rephrase, reword, or refuse to accept what our LOVING
CREATOR GOD so clearly states. HE says what HE means, and means what HE
says. We would do well to believe the HOLY INSPIRED WORD as it is
written — rather than attempt to change them by interpretation
according to our own ideas or wishes.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
The TORAH: When you walk, it shall lead you; when you lie down, it shall
watch over you; and when you awake, it shall talk to you.
Life's challenges work out for the best, when we recognize what appear
to be obstacles as opportunities to develop ourselves for the better and
recognize that all things come from OMNIPOTENT GOD'S invisible hand that
guides our lives.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
It's a mistake to think that we can impress the world by
compromising with it.

ATHEISTS & UNBELIEVERS
"The fool thinks— There is no GOD or GOD does not care. Man's deeds
and wrongdoing is corrupt and loathsome; no one does good." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 14. 1; 53. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "For the wicked boasts of his
heart's desire; He blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord. The wicked
in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his
thoughts". [Psalms (Tehillym) 10. 3 - 4]

The Hebrew word for fool used in these passages is nabal — meaning
the lowest of depraved fools for they are senseless, GOD-denying,
stupid, wicked and vile. For many years now, we have bowed to atheists
feelings of antagonism against any public expression of our faith in the
only TRUE GOD, MASTER CREATOR of the Heavens and the Earth. However,
CHRISTians are commanded to express their faith as the LORD YESHUA
intended to, "go into all the world and preach the gospel to every
creature. He who believes and is baptized will be saved; but he who does
not believe will be condemned." [Mark 16. 15 - 16]

The foolish atheists have demand that we followers of MESSIAH, must
quietly show tolerance and respect for their expressions of their
religious belief —while all the while declaring that there is no
ETERNAL & HOLY GOD; or all paths lead to HIM. However, HOLY SCRIPTURE
clearly states that if we remain tolerant or silent, the stones and
rocks would cry out. [Luke 19. 40] Beyond doubt, THERE IS A SUPREME
GOD and we should obey HIM, not man. Declaring the glory of the
SOVEREIGN LORD is not only our right, but it is our spiritual duty to
our MIGHTY KING, the GREAT LORD GOD OF HOSTS.

A sufficient word to atheists, agnostics and unbelievers: Now is a good
time to reconsider your position of belief. "Behold, NOW is the
accepted time; behold, NOW is the day of salvation." [2 Corinthians 6.
2] I implore you, examine and re-examine the infallible evidence, and
reconsider the risk pertaining to the end result! The evidence is
overwhelming and convincingly compelling for the one who is truly
looking. Looking at it from a conscientious standpoint, it makes sense
to consider the subject worthy of careful evaluation. If you are right
and there is no RIGHTEOUS, AWESOME GOD WHO is a JEALOUS GOD OF JUSTICE,
then when your life is over, you simply cease to exist.

However, if you are wrong and GOD'S HOLY WORD is correct, there is, in
truth, an OMNIPOTENT OMNISCIENT GOD WHO has revealed HIMSELF to mankind
throughout the ages. A LOVING MASTER DESIGNER WHO provided verifiable
evidence of HIS existence, revealed HIS will for mankind, expressed HIS
intentions toward us for the present times and for all ages. Also the
ALMIGHTY showed us the eternal destiny HE has established. There is
certain and just basis to call your attention to the fact that it is
indisputably wise to CONSIDER the EVIDENCE. Do not risk your soul! The
cost is too great as your eternal destiny will be the Lake of Fire!

There is a hope of Heaven to gain, and there is a Hell & Lake of Fire to
avoid in fear. Because the GOOD SHEPHERD has such a great love for you,
HE has revealed the TRUTH and the ONLY WAY for all mankind to receive
salvation, and it is recorded in HIS HOLY WORD. YESHUA, GOD'S ONLY
MEANS OF DELIVERANCE, is our FREE GIFT, if we would only receive HIM.

Many atheists, skeptics and believers alike have made the statement—
"If there is a LOVING GOD, how could HE allow this (Holocaust, bombings,
terrorists, abortion, euthanasia, famine, floods, etc.) to happen." The
answer is simple: If they knew the MERCIFUL CREATOR OF HOLY WRIT they
would understand that HE allows mankind to make choices and do their
utmost evil. Then after they have decided, HE proves HIMSELF to be the
RIGHTEOUSLY JUDGE, and indeed HE is, and will not be manipulated, as
some also claim. There is nothing our GREAT & MIGHTY GOD has not done!

GOD ETERNAL not only told us the truth, but HE also provided "THE
ANSWER" for our sin problem and for unbelief. HE alone has solved the
dilemma which we find ourselves in, by paying the penalty for our sins
with HIS OWN LIFE. That ANSWER is GOD'S ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, JESUS
CHRIST WHO died and provided the blood that GOD THE FATHER uses to cover
our sins, and to impute the righteousness of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH to
the record of our lives. This is the hope and confidence we have to
stand before LORD JESUS on the Day of Judgment.

The advantages of being a disciple of MESSIAH YESHUA (in truth...not
verbal or mere pretense) are too remarkable and wonderfully compelling
to ignore — well worth looking into. Then, you too may find peace
of mind and peace with the world around you. "Taste and see how good
the LORD is; blessed is the man who trusts and takes refuge in HIM!"
[Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The ALL-MERCIFUL SAVIOR
promised, and HE cannot lie, that for those who seek HIM, HE will be
found by them. That is HIS heart's desire; but, you must seek the
DIVINE MASTER in sincerity and truth.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
It is impossible to take a stand while walking away; it is impossible
share the TRUTH with those we avoid; it is impossible to love others
when we stay away from them; and it is impossible to defend against the
lies of those who claim to follow GOD when we let it all happen and
never say a word.
O GOD, thank you for loving me even when I could not love myself.
Keep praying, keep believing and, above all, keep the faith, HalleluYAH!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Create the kind of self that you will be happy with all your life. [
-Golda Meir]

CUSTOMS— TALLITH / Prayer Shawl (Part 2 of 2)

"Speak to the Israelite people and instruct them to make for themselves
fringes on the corners of their garments throughout their ages; let them
attach a cord of blue to the fringe at each corner. That shall be your
fringe; look at it and recall all the commandments of the LORD and
observe them, so that you do not follow your heart and eyes in your
lustful urge. Thus you shall be reminded to observe all MY commandments
and to be holy to your GOD." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 15. 38 - 40 Tanakh,
Torah]

Since the Jewish religious responsibilities of the home and synagogue
are upheld by the man, he feels highly honored of the ALMIGHTY ONE and
in his daily devotions voices his appreciation in the following prayer
(founded by the Talmudic Rabbis) while he wears the Tallith (prayer
shawl), T'fillin (phylacteries — frontlets — prayer boxes), and
Yarmalkah (karpah —skull cap — dome of heaven): "Blessed are
YOU, O LORD our GOD, KING of the Universe, WHO has not created me a
slave. Blessed are YOU, O LORD our GOD, KING of the Universe, WHO has
not created me a heathen. Blessed are YOU, O LORD our GOD, KING of the
Universe, WHO has not created me a woman." But in MESSIAH YESHUA, there
is no distinction between the sexes with regard to salvation. Both male
and female come through the DOOR into the sheepfold, receive the same
commandments and inherit the same promises. Thank GOD, HE created us in
the MESSIAH to be one in HIM.

The LORD YESHUA also rebuked the religious leaders for "enlarging the
borders of their (prayer) garments to be seen of men." [Matthew 23. 5]
HE knew what was in men and it grieved HIM to see the Jewish people
being swayed by their religious leaders. YESHUA said to these blind
religionists— "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For
you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly,
but inside are full of dead men's bones and all uncleanness. Even so you
also outwardly appear righteous to men, but inside you are full of
hypocrisy and lawlessness. " [Matthew 23. 27 - 28]

One does not have to wear a special kind of clothing in order to reveal
devotion to the LORD GOD. Man looks on the outward appearance, it is
true, and judges that person as to his or her spirituality by that; but
GOD OMNIPOTENT sees the attitude of the heart and this it is which
determines the approval or disapproval of the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE and the
individual's final reward.

The Tallith of the Orthodox Jew is worn every morning throughout the
year, with the exception of one — the Tisha b'Av (Ninth of Av),
the Fast of the 5th month [see Zechariah/Zecharyah 7. 3, 5; 8. 19],
which is remembering the destruction of the first and second Temples.
Instead of wearing it this day at morning service, it is worn before the
sunset of the day.

Before the garment is put on the worshiper, the fringes at the four
corners are gathered and the first two verses of Psalms 104 are
repeated. A prayer is then offered in which is repeated the text
containing the words: "That they make them fringes in the borders of
their garments throughout their generations. " Then a prayer is said
from the Prayer Book for the New Year as the Tallith is put on. The
garment is then thrown over the shoulders and the following prayer is
offered: "Blessed are YOU, O LORD our GOD, KING of the Universe, WHO has
sanctified us in HIS commandments, and has commanded us to be covered
with the fringes."

When this is done, Psalm 36:7, 10 are repeated. Observe from these
latter SCRIPTURES, the people regard the wearing of this garment as
being associated with receiving righteousness. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 61. 10]
Consequently the pious Pharisee was very particular in having a large
garment, sufficient to cover himself, with very wide borders; because
the larger the garment, and the greater the border, the more the
righteousness. Thus, this very object that the LORD JESUS designed to
use as a means to a great end, was perverted from its purpose, and
substituted for the CREATOR HIMSELF. It is not at all surprising then,
that the SAVIOR should say, "Unless your righteousness exceeds the
righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, you will by no means enter
the kingdom of heaven." [Matthew 5. 20] They should have known from the
words of the prophets that true righteousness was not found in the
wearing of those objects; but in HIM, YEHOWAH, our righteousness. .. if
we observe to do all these commandments. ..it shall be our righteousness.
[Deuteronomy/ Devarim 6. 24 - 25]

YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD — HE observed all the
commandments HIS FATHER gave to the Jewish people. At all times HE wore
a garment which covered HIS entire body and in its four corners was the
ribbon of blue with the fringes. We find this recorded in Matthew 9:20
where the woman "touched the hem (border, corner, quarter, wing) of HIS
garment" and was healed. She knew this was a TRUE ISRAELITE WHO wore
the Tsitzith (fringe) in the hem of HIS garment without being
hypocritical. It was a reminder of GOD'S covenant of healing and HIS
WORD which healed Israel. [Psalm/Tehillym 105. 37; 107. 20] She acted
on her faith in ALMIGHTY HOLY GOD WHO heals and she was made whole.

In the corners, borders, hem, quarters or wings of MESSIAH'S garment
were the fringes or tassels GOD had commanded to be there.
[Numbers/B'Midvar 15. 38 - 40] They were to bring to the remembrance of
Israel the LAW OF GOD — HIS HOLY WORD. This Jewish woman knew the
Law and promise of the OMNIPOTENT ONE that there would be healing in
MESSIAH'S wings. "For you who revere MY NAME the SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
(VINDICATOR/ victory) shall rise with healing in HIS wings."
[Malachi/Malakhi 4. 2]

JESUS OF NAZARETH fulfilled this prophecy. The SUN OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
refers to Israel's MESSIAH, just as Jeremiah also prophesied: "Behold,
the days are coming — says the LORD — that I will raise to David
a BRANCH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS; a KING shall reign and prosper, and execute
judgment and righteousness in the earth. In HIS days Judah will be
saved, and Israel will dwell safely; now this is HIS NAME by which HE
will be called: Yahweh tzidKENU (THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS) ."
[Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 23. 5 - 6]

The woman with the disease touched HIM WHO is the fulfillment of the
WORD (Law), the POWER, GLORY & RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD! She believed and
accepted the promise of "healing in HIS wings" and she was made whole!
The result of reaching out to grasp hold of HIS WORD, or the borders of
HIS garment where were the Tsitzith representing GOD'S HOLY WORD, is
still the same today! Bless the LORD, O my soul and all that is within
me — HE has done great things!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbat we encourage you to take some of
Sabbath's sweetness with you for a blessed week. Truly there is
light & joy, gladness & honour for all of GOD'S people as we
celebrate our wonderful LORD & SAVIOR.
Delight overwhelmingly in the LORD all week long and share HIS goodness
with others.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Those who don't know how to weep with their whole heart do not know
how to laugh either. [Golda Meir]

CUSTOMS— TALLITH/Prayer Shawl (Part 1 of 2)
"Speak to the Israelite people and instruct them to make for themselves
fringes on the corners of their garments throughout their ages; let them
attach a cord of blue to the fringe at each corner. That shall be your
fringe; look at it and recall all the commandments of the LORD and
observe them, so that you do not follow your heart and eyes in your
lustful urge. Thus you shall be reminded to observe all MY commandments
and to be holy to your GOD." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 15. 38 – 40 Tanakh,
Torah]

Among Orthodox Jewish males from the age of thirteen years, the Tallith
is worn about the shoulders as a shawl in the House of Worship and at
the time of their daily devotions which take place at nine o'clock in
the morning, three in the afternoon, and after sunset.

"You shall not wear cloth combining wool and linen. You shall make
tassels on the four corners of the garment with which you cover
yourself." [Deuteronomy (B'Midvar) 22. 11 - 12 Tanakh, Torah] In
obedience to this command, the Jewish men today wear a shawl made of
only one material, usually silk. How the LORD GOD desires an undivided
heart in our worship, an unwavering faith, not tossed about by every
wind of doctrine, not mixed with the religion of the world, but pure and
single to HIS honor and glory! The ALMIGHTY commands that we not make
our garments of divers sorts!

Tsitzith is the name used by Jews for the fringes of the Tallith. These
fringes, and counting each member of their body, number 613
corresponding to 613 Oral Laws claimed to have been given to Moses on
Mount Sinai. Because Jewish people know it is a command of the HOLY ONE
to obey HIS Law (mitzvah), they feel that their obedience brings them
merit. A pious Jew, according to Rabbinical regulations, is expected to
keep 613 mitzvoth (Laws) daily! Since this is really impossible, the
theory has grown up that the good deeds of all Israel put together count
in making up the full number. CREATOR GOD said to look at the tsitzith
and remember HIS commandments.

For generations, it was one of the Orthodox beliefs of Judaism, the
pivot of piety, that 248 positive commandments correspond to the 248
parts of the human body, and that 365 negative commandments correspond
to the 365 sinews of the human body, according to the anatomical belief
of the Talmudic Era. "Orthodox Jewry stands on the pillar of what is
said and what is written and around that conception revolves the entire
Talmudic Rabbinical literature for the past 2,000 years. Nothing is holy
if it was not written, nothing is good if it was not said before; and no
pious Jewish person ever dared yet to criticize this concept." [The
Jewish Post]

The fringes, which end at each corner of the Tallith, are put in a hole
about an inch from the edge of the garment. The manner of their
attachment in knots and thirty-nine winds correspond to the numerical
value of the letters which spell "THE LORD IS ONE" —since each
letter of the Hebrew alphabet has numerical significance.

A long cord is wrapped, seven shorter cords first seven times, then
eight, then eleven and finally thirteen, each series being separated
from the others by two knots. The numbers seven and eight constituting
fifteen together suggest YH, and number eleven, WH...together they make
up the name YHWH. The number thirteen stands for "echad" — the
letters of which are numerals equaling thirteen. Thus forming the
sentence "YHWH echad" or "YEHOWAH IS ONE."

This prayer garment, in ancient times, was worn in imitation of Moses
who wore a veil over his face because of its radiance after being with
HOLY GOD. Their fringes were drawn down over their eyes so the reader
could look through the sacred veil upon the SCRIPTURES. How significant
is this to the fact that "blindness in part has happened to Israel"
according the prophecy, concealing the glory of YESHUA of Israel as
their own MESSIAH!

The first act of a devout Jew in his morning prayer is to put the
fringes to his lips and kiss them to acknowledge the obedience of the
worshiper to the whole law. But our own Jewish prophet, Isaiah said it
was not enough to honor GOD with the lips when the heart is far from
HIM. In the words of the LORD JESUS, it is written: "Hypocrites! Well
did Isaiah prophesy about you, saying— These people draw near to ME
with their mouth, and honor ME with their lips, but their heart is far
from ME." [Matthew 15. 7 - 8; Isaiah/Yeshayah 29. 13]

Not only did these Jews use their mouths to make long prayers, but also
used their lips to kiss the fringes in order to impress upon the people
the fact of their spirituality. What similarity to professed worshipers
of the LORD GOD today who, to seem religious, pray loud and long in
public, but have no real abiding fellowship with OMNIPOTENT HOLY GOD in
their lives!

The BLESSED ONE commanded the children of Israel that they "attach a
cord of blue to the fringe at each corner." This blue cord entwined in
the fringe is the heavenly colour reminding the Jews of the power and
glory of GOD MOST HIGH. The use of the blue is explained in the Talmud:
"Because this color resembles the sea; the sea resembles the sky; and
the sky resembles the Chair of Glory." The method of dying the threads
sky blue was a secret of the people of Acre, Israel. After the
dispersion, the art was forgotten by the Jews of the Diaspora
(dispersion) and in view of this fact, white is used exclusively for the
Tsitzith. However, bars of blue are dyed in the prayer shawl of the
Jews today in substitution for the blue cord or, in some cases, black is
used as a sign of mourning for the destruction of the Temple in
Jerusalem. However, GOD'S Law should be obeyed — the shade of blue
is not the issue. . . obedience is!

The Talmud also says—"Whoever has T'fillin on his head and arm,
Tsitzith on his garments and a Mezuzah on his door, gives assurance that
he will not commit sins." This statement brings to mind the desire of
the Psalmist David who declared to the LORD, "In my heart, YOUR WORD is
hidden, so I do not sin against YOU!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 11 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] Today, each of us should have the same heart's
desire—to obey our WONDERFUL SAVIOR.

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Welcome Sabbath — Queen of the week! Praised are YOU, YEHOWAH, our
GOD, SOVEREIGN of the Universe, WHO makes us holy with YOUR mitzvoth and
favors us with the Holy Shabbat, lovingly and graciously given to us. O
how we long for a Yom Shekulo ShabbatÂ…a day in eternity that is all
Sabbath. Assuredly, HE WHO keeps Israel neither slumbers or sleeps!
For the TORAH, for the privilege of worship, for the prophets, and for
this Sabbath Day, given us for sanctification and rest, for honour and
for glory, let us thank and bless the LORD our GOD.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Doing the impossible just takes a smidgen longer.

SILENCING THE FOOLISH
"For this is the will of GOD, that by doing good you may put to silence
the ignorance of foolish men." [1 Peter 2. 15]

Egotistical and arrogant foolishness are the humanistic, blasphemous
attacking criticisms that are against GOD'S HOLY WORD and HIS
people. "Professing to be wise, they became fools." [Romans 1. 22] "HE
WHO is enthroned in heaven laughs; the LORD mocks and ridicules them."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Yes, the wicked man schemes
against righteousness — but "the LORD laughs at him, for HE knows
that his day will come." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Thus, the best way to silence foolish men, is by doing good.

"When you do good and suffer, if you take it patiently, this is
commendable before GOD." [1 Peter 2. 20] "For it is better, if it is the
will of GOD, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil." [1 Peter 3.
17] "Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of GOD commit
their souls to HIM in doing good, as to a faithful CREATOR." [1 Peter 4.
19] "Shun evil and do good, and you shall abide forever." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 37. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA is the greatest, most unsurpassed EXAMPLE of
this for "when HE was reviled, He did not revile in return; when HE
suffered, HE did not threaten, but committed HIMSELF to HIM WHO judges
righteously. " [1 Peter 2. 23] "HE was oppressed and HE was afflicted,
yet HE was submissive, HE did not open HIS mouth; like a sheep being led
to slaughter, like a ewe, dumb before those who shear her, HE did not
open HIS mouth." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Of course, everyone has the right to reject every argument and even
ridicule such a life, but they must eventually come to see its sure
foundation. "When they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by
your good works which they observe, glorify GOD in the day of
visitation." [1 Peter 2. 12] "Do not forget to do good and to share,
for with such sacrifices GOD is well pleased." [Hebrews 13. 16]

The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH bid those who would— "follow ME."
Furthermore, it is "the will of GOD" that we identify ourselves with our
wonderful LORD by "doing good" as we emulate our HEAVENLY FATHER. And
when the GOOD SHEPHERD, the OVERSEER of believers appears, those who
know HIM will be glorified. When we are sure of our FOUNDATION, we have
little to fear and tough times are nowhere near as tough as without HIM.
Such joy and hope we have!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Man is given the choice of how he will act out in this world; but the
junctions and highways have been set in place by the CREATOR. We have an
AWESOME GOD, and HE is on the throne ruling over the affairs of men. If
only we could see the path as OMNISCIENT GOD has always seen it, we
would have selected it as well. HE is worthy of all our praise and
worship, even in difficult times.

Post  Admin Fri 13 Jul 2012, 8:17 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Gentleness (Hebrew: `anvah) never closes a door nor finds one it
cannot open.

WRITINGS of GOD
"The tablets were ELOHIMY'S work, and the writing was ELOHIMY'S
writing, incised upon the tablets." [Exodus (Shemot) 32. 16 Tanakh,
Torah]

This is the first time the word writing was used in HOLY WRIT and it is
speaking of "the writing of GOD" not something devised by men. The
reference is to the two TABLETS OF THE LAW which are known as the Ten
Statements, Ten Words or Ten Commandments "written with the Finger of
God" [Exodus/Shemot 31. 18], and rewritten by God on a second set of
stone tablets to replace the first that were shattered by Moses.
[Exodus/Shemot 34. 1]

The Ten Statements revealed by the HOLY ONE to Moses at Mount Sinai and
given to the Hebrews are indeed commandments; and they are part of 613
commandments in the TORAH (FIVE BOOKS OF MOSES) — in fact, each of
the 613 commandments fits into one of ten categories of commandments
represented by the Ten Statements. The Law means more than prohibitions
— it includes obligations as well. Of the 613, there are 365
negative commands and 248 positive commands. As with all other aspects
of the Law, the intention in which the act is carried out is also
critical.

All SCRIPTURE is DiviNELY inspired, but the Ten Commandments were
DiviNELY inscribed! This TESTIMONY of their unique importance is a
serious sobering condemnation of all who ignore them or distort their
meaning, including the fourth statement with reference to the Six Days
of Creation. [Exodus/Shemot 20. 11]

The NEW COVENANT also records a WRITING of the Apostle Paul which is of
even greater personal significance: "you are manifestly an epistle of
CHRIST...written not with ink, but with the SPIRIT OF THE LIVING GOD,
not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart."
[2 Corinthians 3. 3] This engraving by the Finger of GOD is an inner
confidence inscribed in the heart by the SPIRIT OF GOD! "This is the
covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the LORD—
I will put MY Laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write
them." [Hebrews 10. 16]

This extraordinarily amazing WRITING OF GOD'S Law in our hearts and
minds has been accomplished because the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA came "not to
destroy, but to fulfill" the Law [Matthew 5. 17] and "has redeemed us
from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us." [Galatians 3.
13] Now, with the Law in our hearts, we have become epistles
(dispatched letters) of the MOST HIGH GOD, "known and read by all men."
[2 Corinthians 3. 2] It is imperative that the wRITING reads true and
clear through our lives in every word and daily action.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
For all of us, daily life sometimes seems to be an obstacle course
filled with rocks and thorns. But, when GOD'S PRECIOUS WRITTEN WORD is
in the center of our life, we find sweet honey in the ROCK. Have a
blessed day as you saturate yourself in the sweetness of the MIGHTY
LORD, the SOURCE OF LIFE; and find complete tranquility and harmony as
you bask in the LORD'S presence.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Failure is not defeat — until you stop trying.

LORD & KING
"And the LORD shall be KING over all the earth. In that day it shall be
— The LORD is ONE — and HIS NAME ONE." [Zechariah (Zecharyah)
14. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The angels in heaven will even proclaim the HOLY ONE WHO alone is GOD,
"Then the seventh angel sounded; there were loud voices in heaven,
saying— The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our
LORD and of HIS CHRIST, and HE shall reign forever and ever!"
[Revelation 11. 15]

Some day very soon the ALMIGHTY ONE will return to this earth and will
reign forever and ever. Meanwhile, GOD is working out HIS great plan of
reconciliation, as made known in HIS REVEALED WORD. In the wondrous
book of Revelation [chapters 21 & 22] one sees the never-ending glories,
the New Earth and CREATOR GOD and HIS REDEEMING SON dwelling with HIS
people eternally.

Our LORD'S final words are both a guide and a warning until HE returns.
HIS final invitation is to "those who thirsts, Come!" [Revelation 22.
17] HIS final warning is— "For I testify to everyone who hears the
words of the prophecy of this BOOK: If anyone adds to these things, GOD
will add to him the plagues that are written in this BOOK; and if anyone
takes away from the words of the BOOK of this prophecy, GOD shall take
away his part from the BOOK OF LIFE, from the Holy City, and from the
things which are written in this BOOK." [Revelation 22. 18 - 19] HOLY
SCRIPTURE contains all that man will ever need to know, man needs only
to Believe and Obey.

After that, we find MESSIAH'S final promise. Peter calls this an
"exceedingly great and precious promise." [2 Peter 1. 4] "HE WHO
testifies to these things says— Surely I am coming quickly." To
which our response and the ultimate prayer is, "Amen! Even so, come LORD
JESUS!" [Revelation 22. 20]

Ultimately, there is a final benediction, identical to each closing of
Paul's epistles — and the most wonderful of all the words of our
BLESSED, LOVING MASTER, "The grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST be with you
all. Amen." [Revelation 22. 21] How fitting, GOD'S PRECIOUS WORD
Begins with HIS creation, now it Ends with HIS saving grace!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
YOU are majestic and glorious, CREATOR of heaven and earth. O GOD, who
is like YOU? There is none! We ask for clearness of vision to see life
as a whole from youth to old age to be comforted in the faith that the
best is yet to be.
Study that the LORD will reveal an abundance of peace and true favor to
you in HIS PRECIOUS WORD!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.
