A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Segregation is for people who are unworthy to enjoy the magnificent
splendor of your company.

THREE BAPTISMS
"Therefore leaving the elementary principles of CHRIST, let us go on to
perfection, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead
works and of faith toward GOD, of the doctrine of baptismS." [Hebrews 6.
1 - 2]

There are three baptisms mentioned in HOLY SCRIPTURE and each is vitally
important for the believer's growth, for knowledge, and perfection.
YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is our "PERFECT EXAMPLE" of these:

WATER BAPTISM: The LORD YESHUA was baptized by John at the River
Jordan. When John saw HIM, his reply was— "I need to be baptized by
YOU, and are YOU coming to me? JESUS replied— Permit it to be so
now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.—
Then John allowed HIM." [Matthew 3. 13 - 15]

Likewise, we who are in MESSIAH are "buried with HIM in baptism, in
which you also were raised with HIM through faith in the working of GOD,
who raised HIM from the dead." [Colossians 2. 12]

BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT: "Then JESUS, when HE had been baptized,
came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened
to HIM, and HE saw the SPIRIT OF GOD descending like a dove and
alighting upon HIM." [Matthew 3. 16] Thus fulfilling Isaiah 11:2 —
"I have put MY SPIRIT upon HIM." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 42. 1] "Then JESUS
was led up by the SPIRIT into the wilderness to be tempted by the
devil." [Matthew 4. 1]

In like manner, the HOLY SPIRIT in us becomes our STRENGTHENING ENABLER.
"You shall be baptized with the HOLY SPIRIT...you shall receive "power"
when the HOLY SPIRIT has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to
ME." [Acts 1. 5, 8] And, we can be MESSIAH'S witness to all men with a
clear conscience, that we have obeyed HIS commands. We are enabled to
do so, because...since the baptism of the HOLY SPIRIT. . . we have the
ENABLER working in us.

BAPTISM OF SUFFERING: MESSIAH YESHUA was talking with two of HIS
disciples about their positions in HIS glory. YESHUA replied, "You do
not know what you ask. Can you drink the cup that I drink, and be
baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?" [Mark 10. 38] The
LORD YESHUA has previously been talking about HIS coming crucifixion.
{MESSIAH'S Baptism of Suffering; see Mark 10. 32 – 44} The
LORD JESUS assured them, "you will indeed drink MY cup, and be baptized
with the baptism that I am baptized with." [Matthew 20. 23] Then
YESHUA warns of the costs of discipleship, "I came to send fire on the
earth, and how I wish it were already kindled! But I have a baptism to
be baptized with, and how distressed I am till it is accomplished! "
[Luke 12. 49 - 50] "There will not be peace on earth, but division."
[Luke 12. 51] "Brother will deliver up brother to death, a father his
child; children rise up against parents and cause them to be put to
death. A man's foes will be those of his own household." [Matthew 10.
21, 36] These are only a few examples of the believer's baptism of
fire.

"Do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather,
fear HIM, WHO is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." [Matthew
10. 28] Be Wise! — understand what the will of the LORD is—
"Only to do justice, and to love mercy, to walk humbly with and serve
the LORD your GOD." [Micah (Michah) 6. 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im] It will be
worth it all when we see CHRIST, the KING WHO served to save.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Open your mouth in holiness and purity, with song and psalm, and bless
and praise, glorify and revere, sanctify and ascribe sovereignty to the
NAME of the DIVINE KING, the GREAT, MIGHTY & AWESOME ONE. . . holy is
HE. Take upon yourself the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven and give
sanction to one another to bless the CREATOR. In tranquil joy of spirit,
with pure speech and holy melody exclaim: Holy, holy, holy is the LORD
OF HOSTS, the whole earth is full of HIS glory.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
What we are will always speak louder than what we say.

YOKE, STAFF, ROD
"For the yoke of his burden and the staff of his back — the rod of
his oppressor — You have broken, as in the day of Midian." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 9. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im] {Referring to the time of Gideon -
Judges 7-8}

MESSIAH YESHUA is the ONE this text is speaking of. Only THE GALILEAN,
the SAVIOR of the world could be all this and so much more, words and
imagination could never fully describe our WONDROUS LORD; such amazing
qualities and resemblances and analogies.

Yoke of Burden:
Speaking about the Assyrian yoke of oppression, Isaiah said:
"It shall come to pass in that day that HIS burden will be taken away
from your shoulder, and HIS yoke from your neck; the yoke will be
destroyed because of the anointing oil...Then HIS yoke shall be removed
from them, and HIS burden removed from their backs. This is the plan
that is planned against the whole earth; and this is the hand that is
stretched out over all the nations. For the LORD OF HOSTS has purposed
it, who then can annul it? HIS arm is stretched out, and who can stop
it?" [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 10. 25; 14. 25 - 27 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Whereas Messiah Yeshua encourages us by saying— "Take MY yoke upon
you and learn from ME, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will
find rest for your souls. For MY yoke is easy and MY burden is light."
[Matthew 11. 29 - 30]

Staff of HIS Shoulder (Strength): "YOUR rod and YOUR staff— they
comfort me" [Psalms/Tehillym 23. 4], for through the voice of the LORD,
the enemy will be beaten down as HE strikes with the rod. "And in every
place where the grounded staff shall pass, which the LORD shall lay upon
him, it will be with tabrets and harps; and in battles of shaking will
HE fight with it." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 30. 32 Tanakh, Nevi'im] GOD will
forgive Israel, "Oh, Shepherd YOUR people with YOUR staff, the flock of
YOUR heritage. May they who dwell isolated in a woodland, in the midst
of Carmel; let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, as in days of old."
[Micah (Michah) 7. 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Rod: "I will be a FATHER to him, and he shall be a son to ME. When
he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the
affliction of mortals {the same as a human father would}." [2 Samuel
(Shemuel Bet) 7. 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In arguing his case Job's reply to Bildad the Shuhite was, "If HE
would only take HIS rod away from me and do not let dread of HIM terrify
me, then I would speak out without fear of HIM." [Job (Iyob) 9. 34 - 35
Tanakh, Kethuvim] Regarding rulers and nations who took counseled
together against the ANOINTED ONE, YEHOWAH asserted— "YOU (YESHUA)
shall break them (the nations) with a rod of iron; shatter them to
pieces like potter's ware." [Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"Though I walk through the Valley of deepest darkness, I will fear no
harm, for YOU are with me; YOUR rod and YOUR staff— they comfort
me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 23. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Remembering the Covenant with David, and sorrow for lost blessings David
reiterates what the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL promised, "If his sons forsake MY
Teaching and do not walk in MY judgments; if they violate MY Laws, and
do not keep MY commandments, I will punish their transgression with the
rod, their iniquity with plagues. Nevertheless MY lovingkindness I will
not utterly take from him, nor allow MY faithfulness to fail. I will not
break MY covenant, or change the WORD that has gone out of MY lips."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 89. 30 – 34 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "The LORD said to
my LORD — Sit at MY right hand, while I make YOUR enemies YOUR
footstool." The LORD will send forth from Zion the rod of YOUR mighty
strength. Rule in the midst of YOUR enemies!" [Psalms (Tehillym) 110. 1
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Reign of Jesse's OFFSPRING, "A ROD shall grow out from the stem of
Jesse, and a BRANCH will grow out of his roots. The SPIRIT OF THE LORD
shall rest upon HIM, the SPIRIT of wisdom and understanding, the SPIRIT
of counsel and valor, the SPIRIT of devotion and reverence for the
LORD." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 11. 1 – 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Punishment of
Israel's injustice, "The LORD'S voice cries unto the city, and the man
of wisdom shall see YOUR NAME: Hear the ROD, and WHO has appointed it."
[Micah (Michah) 6. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"Shall I come to you with a rod, or in love and a spirit of gentleness?"
[1 Corinthians 4. 21] The judgment we will receive is in accordance to
our choice. The rod of HIS anger and the staff of HIS indignation are
for those who love wickedness and remain under the yoke of sin and
lawlessness. But the yoke of righteousness by which we are guided to
everlasting peace and joy is available to who-so-ever will come to
YESHUA , the ROCK OF SALVATION, for forgiveness. In HIM we are made
perfect through obedience by HIS Rod of guidance, and our names engraved
into the Staff of righteousness as our rich inheritance.

This WONDERFUL JESUS we serve, is the ONE WHO will to rule all nations
with a rod of iron. So, "hold fast what you have till I come. And he
who overcomes, and keeps MY works until the end, to him I will give
power over the nations — HE shall rule them with a rod of iron; they
shall be dashed to pieces like the potter's vessels — as I also have
received from MY FATHER; and I will give him the MORNING STAR. "He who
has an ear, let him hear what the SPIRIT says to the churches."
[Revelation 2. 26 - 29] What a day that will be, for HE is coming soon
to judge the earth truth, and righteousness will reign through all
eternity.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbat , we are praying for you our friends. May
you have a heart to know YEHOWAH, that HE is the LORD of your life; oh,
return to HIM now. May each of you be delivered from trouble and harm,
or strengthened through it. Heal us O LORD, make us righteous in YOUR
sight. May the message of GOD'S WORD and the love of YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH, the SAVIOR bless you and bubble-up in you to
overflowing. Amen Go forth victoriously into the week and take some of
Sabbath's sweetness with you.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The world will never be better. . . unless we are.

MAN'S INFAMOUS ADVERSARY
The stunning, elegantly beautiful Hadassah (Queen Ester) had been reared
by her cousin, Mordecai as his own daughter. [Esther/Ester 2. 15] When
she was chosen by King Ahasuerus as his Queen, Mordecai commanded her
not to reveal her identity as a Jewess to her husband or to any of the
court (for fear of death) — for the Jews were unpopular in Persia.
Hadassah obeyed Mordecai's command in every respect until the time came
for the secret to be known.

A wicked man named Haman was made ruler over all the provinces in the
kingdom by order of the King. He required that all people bow to him to
give him homage, but Mordecai, being a Jew, could only bow before the
GOD OF ISRAEL and therefore provoked the wrath of the Prime Minister by
disobedience to his command. This enraged Haman to such a degree that
he sought to destroy, not only Mordecai, but all the Jews in the
province. He persuaded King Ahasuerus to decree the death of all Jews
because this one Jew did not bow to him.

Jewish people explain the casting of lots "Purim" like this: Haman,
having been warned that all enemies of the Jews had in the past met with
frustration, being superstitious, decided to cast lots to determine the
most favorable day for the slaughter. The "lots" indicated that day to
be the 13th day of the twelfth month, Adar. But it turned out that
Haman was hanged on the same gallows which he had previously prepared
for Mordecai, and all the Jews escaped a terrible massacre. The next
day, the 14th of Adar, the victory was joyously celebrated.

Esther had been willing to die for her people's salvation. The LORD
MESSIAH YESHUA was not only willing, but did die in order that HIS
people would be saved from eternal destruction! Then, just as HE said
HE would, YESHUA rose from the grave victoriously. HalleluYAH!

Haman, a hater of the Jews [Esther/Ester 3. 6], and Mordecai, the Jew,
are not mere figures in history. Ever since there have been Jews, there
have been Haman's throughout the centuries who have ever been their
enemies bent on their destruction. The Egyptians were the first people
on record to institute anti-Semitic practices. [Genesis/Bereshith 43.
32]

The real reason for the attack on the Jewish nation is given in the Book
of Revelation: "Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the
earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child."
[Revelation 12. 13] The Dragon hates and persecutes "the woman" that
brought forth the MAN-CHILD (YESHUA ha'MASHIACH) . It is the old
enmity, the serpent, against the chosen vessel through which the
"BRUISER of his head" was born into the world. But the ETERNAL ONE,
blessed be HE and blessed be HIS HOLY NAME, uses the wrath of the dragon
for HIS OWN purposes touching HIS people. Just as Joseph dealt with his
brethren in the time of famine, speaking roughly to them, accusing them
of being thieves, causing the cup to be found in innocent Benjamin's
sack to awaken their slumbering consciences about the dark deed in the
background of their lives. Finally they cried, "We are truly guilty
concerning our brother" as their sin rose up before them. This is the
true cause of the wicked persecution of the Jews.

On the very first occasion that the Devil is mentioned by name, he is
described as standing up against Israel, "Satan arose against Israel and
incited David to number Israel." [1 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Alef) 21.
1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] This is the secret of anti-Semitism. The Old
Dragon, Satan is the enemy of all mankind, but his hatred is directed
particularly against the Jews and all who love the GOD OF THE HEBREWS.

However, the national cultures and races of earth meet in the LORD JESUS
to discover we are brothers. The more a person loves YESHUA the
RIGHTEOUS KING OF GLORY, the more we love each other. The closer we get
to MESSIAH YESHUA, the closer we are bound to all men. Hate cannot live
in the light of the love of our WONDERFUL REDEEMER.

May ALMIGHTY GOD fortify the spirit of every reader of these lines
against the satanic influences abroad everywhere today, even robbing
many in the churches of a DIVINE BLESSING! Thus we must "be strong in
the LORD and in power of HIS might. Put on the full armor of GOD, that
you may be able to stand against the devil's schemes. For our
struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of this dark world and against the
spiritual forces of evil wickedness in heavenly place." [Ephesians 6. 10
- 12] The LORD JESUS CHRIST declared, "This is MY commandment, that
you love one another as I have loved you." [John 15. 12] Therefore, go
forth loving and being loved, the ALMIGHTY LORD GOD is with you!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Good Sabbath — Welcome O Bride of the Week! Those who keep the
Desire of Days (Sabbath) and call it their delight will be satiated and
delighted with GOD'S goodness. Praised are YOU, YEHOWAH our GOD,
SOVEREIGN OF THE UNIVERSE, WHO makes us holy with YOUR mitzvoth and
greatly favors us with the Holy Shabbat, lovingly and graciously given
to us.

we have an awesome GOD, as the familiar song says, that He is on the
throne ruling over the affairs of men, and that He is worthy of all our
praise and worship, even in difficult times.
"Hag Semaiach — Good Holiday!" We have an AWESOME GOD and HE is on
the Throne ruling over the affairs of men; HE is worthy of all our
praises and worship!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 18 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Fri 09 Mar 2012, 7:33 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Never waste good agony.

A PURIM STORY
Purim is the annual celebration of the great deliverance of the Jewish
people in the days of Queen Hadassah (Ester — Hadassah's captive
name), as recorded in the Book of Esther in HOLY SCRIPTURE. The Jewish
TALMUD declares, "When Adar enters, JOY is increased." Purim is the
commemorative festival celebrated in the month of Adar on the 14th &
15th day (March 8th & 9th this year). These holy days are observed to
honor the defeat of the enemies of GOD'S people. Purim commemorates the
downfall of Haman (means: tumult), the enemy of the Jewish people in the
Persian Empire. As such, Haman is a type of Satan, the accuser —
the one who has throughout history, sought to eliminate the Hebrew race.
Haman had the king's servants cast lots (purim) to determine the date on
which the Jews would be destroyed, but his wicked plan was thwarted
because of GOD'S great mercy and the obedience of Hadassah (Queen
Ester).

"Purim (casting of lots)" is explained like this: Haman, having been
warned that all enemies of the Jews had in the past met with
frustration, being superstitious, decided that by a simple casting of
lots he would determine the most favorable day for the slaughter. The
lots indicated that day to be the 13th day of Adar, the 12th month.
But, as it turned out, Haman was hanged on the same gallows which he had
previously prepared for Mordecai, and all the Jews escaped a terrible
massacre. The next day, the 14th of Adar, the victory was joyously
celebrated.

After the Persian royal advisor, Haman's genocidal plot to rid the
world of the Jewish people was foiled, "V'nahafoch Hu (roughly
interpreted— "and the tables were turned")!" became the
rallying cry of the Jewish people during the month of Adar. Jewish
sages have advised [Tractate Ta'anit 29a] Jews throughout history to
seek scheduling critical events, in which DIVINE assistance is desired,
during the month of Adar.

Many years after Haman and his ten sons were hanged on a wooden
gallows, our sins were judged and paid for on a wooden cross — when
the HOLY ONE made HIS ultimate triumph over all wickedness, HE gave HIS
ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON to mankind that they might be set free. The vile
Accuser (Satan) suffered a deathblow when sin's power was broken as the
LORD YESHUA uttered the words, "It is finished!" [John 19. 30] Lots
(purim) were also cast at YESHUA'S crucifixion — this time it was
for the garments of the SAVIOR, as had been amazingly prophesied, "They
divided MY clothes among themselves, casting lots for MY garments."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 22. 18 Tanakh, Kethuvim] May we ever sanctify and
praise the PRECIOUS NAME of the LORD GOD for defeating all our enemies,
"With GOD we shall triumph; HE will trample our foes." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 60. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Queen Hadassah (Ester) had been
willing to die for her people's salvation. MESSIAH YESHUA, the
EVERLASTING KING, was not only willing, but did die in order that HIS
people would be saved from eternal destruction!

Jewish people do not merely say — this too shall pass — rather,
he is emphatically confident that — "GOD willing, this too shall
pass" — and when it passes the Jewish people will somehow be the
better for having endured . . .
"It happened just a brief sixty plus years ago, there was a useless
little Jew standing in the huge unruly crowd when Hitler gave one of his
extremely violent and rabid speeches promising the extermination of the
Jewish people. The bearded old Israelite chuckled delightedly
throughout the entire harsh and merciless performance. Noticing his
absurd and inappropriate laughter, the fascist Fuehrer shrieked —You
fool! You idiot! What are you so happy about when I just threatened the
extermination of your people?—
"So, I'll tell you already" — answered the old man. —Pharaoh
swore to destroy us, and you know that he himself was destroyed. As a
consequence, we have a lovely holiday called Passover when we eat matzoh
and knaidlach and drink wine.—
"The crazy madman, Haman, also wanted to destroy us— continued the
Jew —and he was hanged on his own gallows. Now we have the beautiful
festival of Purim where we eat hamantaschen (3-cornered fruit-filled
cookie) and kreplach (stuffed-meat pies) and rejoice greatly."
"When Antiochus Epiphanes desecrated our Temple and tried to killed all
who would not bow to his idol god, Zeus. And we celebrate for eight days
every year the Festival of Lights (Chanukkah) with latkes and sufganiyot
(jelly donuts) and other various fried goodies.
And all the while you were standing up there ranting-and- raving,
spouting out hot air and shouting insanely against the Jews...I couldn't
help thinking about what a glorious time we will have when you too are
destroyed, and about the delicious things we will eat to celebrate That
Occasion."

There is a portion of the TALMUD that reads: "When the Jew looks like a
dog, then MESSIAH will come." This was never understood, until the 1991
Persian Gulf War, Desert Storm brought about an understanding — when
the Jewish people were forced to wear gas masks — since anyone
wearing them definitely, without a doubt. . . looks like a dog.

As we remember the BLESSED DELIVERER, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH and as the
Jewish people remember Queen Hadassah, we can praise HIM even as did
King David: "Bless the LORD, O my soul, and my being, bless HIS HOLY
NAME. Bless the LORD, O my soul and do not forget all HIS bountiful
benefits. HE forgives all your sins, heals all your diseases." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 103. 1 - 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Assuredly, JESUS' return is
imminent, HE is coming very soon! Are you ready?

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
"Hag Semaiach! — Happy Purim!"
The purpose of wearing masks on Purim is not connected to mockery,
permissiveness or the occult. Though a source of great enjoyment for
young and old alike, it bespeaks a much deeper theological truth. The
Book of Esther is the only text in HOLY WRIT where GOD'S NAME does not
appear. HE seems to be absent throughout the story but it becomes
evident to all that the events are all directed by HIS MIGHTY Hand. That
is the ULTIMATE MASK. It is the Mask of all the reality we experience
daily, for behind the masked reality is the LOVING, CARING GOD. As Jews,
we believe that man is given choices to act out in this world but the
junctions and highways have been set in place by the CREATOR.
There are four "mitzvot— good deeds" specifically connected to the
Holiday of Purim:
1— Reading the Megillah (Scroll of Esther, as it is commonly
called) which I encourage you to do, either personally or with your
family.
2—Enjoying a Festive meal.
3— Sharing special time with friends/family.
4— Giving gifts to the poor — either locally or giving an
offering to help a family in the Promised Land of Israel.
If we are to prevail, we must unite under the banner of Jewish Messiah
– celebrating our unique heritage, our unique message, and our
unique ability to bring inspiration to the world.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A man should live if only to satisfy his curiosity.

WORDS OF PEACE & TRUTH
"Dispatches were sent to all the Jews in the one hundred and
twenty-seven provinces of the realm of Ahasuerus, with words of peace
and truth, of equity and honesty." [Esther (Ester) 9. 30 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

Purim is Judaism's most dramatic, fun-filled holiday. The main event is
reading the Book of Esther. Set in Persia 2,300 years ago, the
"Megillah" (as it is commonly called; denotes: complete, entire)
recounts how a seemingly unrelated series of events spun together to
save the Jewish people from annihilation. The Megillah of Ester is
unique in that it contains no explicit mention of GOD {* see footnote},
yet the hand of the ALMIGHTY BELOVED LORD is clearly evident. It was
after their remarkable deliverance from the genocide that had been
connived for them by wicked Haman, that Mordecai wrote the "words of
peace and truth" to all the Jewish people establishing an annual holiday
— Purim — to commemorate the providential winning of peace with
their enemies, truth triumphing over evil and deception.

This combination of words, peace and truth, was also used by King
Hezekiah when the LORD ETERNAL promised safety for his kingdom as long
as he lived. "Peace and truth is assured for my time." [2 Kings
(Melakhim Bet) 20. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Likewise, the ALMIGHTY ONE
promised HIS people deliverance from their Babylonian captors, "I will
heal them and reveal to them abundance of true favor peace and truth."
[Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 33. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Through the Prophet
Zechariah, the MOST HOLY ONE promised HIS people a future lasting peace.
They were instructed to honour in celebration the feasts of the fourth,
fifth, seventh, and tenth month as "occasions for joy and gladness,
happy festivals for the House of Judah; therefore you must love honesty
and integrity, truth and peace." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 8. 19 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

"Who will stand up for me against wicked men? Who will stand up for me
against the workers of iniquity?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 94. 16 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] When men accept the HOLY CREATOR WHO is TRUTH, the PRINCE OF
PEACE, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, there will be real peace for "the peace of
GOD, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds
through CHRIST JESUS." [Philippians 4. 7] The KING of kings is the ONE
to whom the battle belongs; and in HIM, we are more then conquerors.

* Footnote: The Book of Ester does, in fact, contain the name "YEHOWAH"
five times. However, it is concealed in the original Hebrew in
extraordinary acrostic form. Although ALMIGHTY GOD was never
specifically named in the Megillah of Ester, HE was there! "If you keep
silent in this crisis, RELIEF and DELIVERANCE will arise for the Jews
from another place." [Esther (Ester) 4. 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Mordecai's "words of peace and truth" unquestionably spoke of the LORD
JESUS CHRIST — "the UNIQUE DELIVERER" — "the HOPE OF ISRAEL"
and every nation in all the world. May we not rest or remain silent
until Jerusalem becomes the praise of all the earth!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
On Ta'anit Ester— the Fast of Esther —the Book of Esther is
read to recall the miracle of salvation of the Jews and to remind us
that in any generation when a "Haman" raises his hand against GOD'S
chosen people, we can expect another miracle.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
To be almost saved is to be totally lost.

DOLPHIN SKIN COVERING
"Make for the tent a covering of tanned rams' skins dyed red and a
Covering of Dolphin (sea cow) Skins above." [Exodus (Shemot) 26. 14
Tanakh, Torah]

This is the fourth and last covering for the Tabernacle. There is no
description or measurements for the dolphin skins, only that it is the
"covering above." It represents the humiliation of the LORD KING MESSIAH
which cannot be measured. We do not know the height from which the LORD
JESUS came; therefore, we cannot know the depth to which HE stooped. HE
emptied HIMSELF! [Philippians 2. 5 - 10] The MOST HIGH SERVANT was in
the Highest Heaven, came down to the lowest earth, down to where we are
so that we could go UP to where HE is!

According to some translators, the outside skin is that of either the
dolphin, porpoise, seal, antelope or goat; but, it is a strong, enduring
leather. Some translators call it badger skins. However, the badger is
not a native animal of the East. Whatever the animal, it was an unclean
animal which shows GOD'S great grace. No matter how unclean or defiled
we were, we can be used by ALMIGHTY GOD in HIS "Holy Habitation." When
we are set apart for HIS use, HE takes the unclean and defiled and
cleanses us by the blood of MESSIAH YESHUA for HIS purpose. The
SEPTUAGINT BIBLE states it thus, "an upper covering of skins dyed blue."
The Jewish text leaves the word un-translated, calling it "tachash"
skins meaning "unknown." How like our LOVING LORD WHO was unknown by
men! HE made HIMSELF of no reputation. [Matthew 13. 55 - 57;
Philippians 2. 5 - 8] The world cannot see the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL,
JESUS, as HE is in HIS glory until there is an entrance inside, for the
glory is within, even as with the CHRISTian; beauty is withIN. The
believer in MESSIAH YESHUA is "dark as the tents of Kedar" in the eyes
of the world; but is comely, graceful, and handsome as "the pavilions of
Solomon" in the eyes of the MIGHTY GOD OF JACOB. [Psalm/Tehillym 45. 13;
Song of Songs/Shir ha'Shirim 1. 5; 1 Peter 3. 3 - 4]

The outside skin was all that the Israelites could see of the Tabernacle
from a distance. When they approached the sacred building they saw the
Door in front, the goats' hair curtain. This covering above, the
dolphin skins, was not very beautiful or attractive to them. They could
not see the gold or the silver, nor the articles of furniture that were
inside the building. The beautiful curtains, the colours, and the
cherubim surrounding on every side were hidden. All they could look
upon was the unattractive skin on the outside. Here, in the words of
Isaiah is a picture of the BELOVED SAVIOR, "…for HE had no form or
beauty that we should look at HIM; no charm, that we should find HIM
pleasing. HE was despised, shunned by men, a MAN OF SORROWS, familiar
with suffering and grief. We hid, as it were, our faces from HIM as
though a leper. HE was despised, we held HIM of no account." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 53. 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Our GLORIOUS YESHUA, the REDEEMER, came to HIS Jewish people. They were
expecting their awaited KING to come in pomp and glory, with a royal
crown on HIS head, a royal robe about HIS shoulders, sitting on a white
horse; and immediately establishing HIS Kingdom. But, the SAVIOR came
as other men (our KINSMAN, born of a woman) . . .HIS coming was in
fulfillment of the un-enticing outward skin on the Tabernacle! That is
all the Jewish people (as a nation) perceived in HIM. Therefore, as
they saw MESSIAH YESHUA in this light, they rejected HIM. [John 1. 11 -
12] There are many even today (Jews & Gentiles) whose eyes are blinded
to the beauty of the LORD JESUS. They have not come inside the
building, all they see is the unknown outside covering of the
Tabernacle.

The outward skin was a protection for the Sanctuary. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 4.
5 - 6; Psalm/Tehillym 27. 5; 61. 3 - 4] It covered the building
completely and protected its contents, the under-skin, the curtains, and
the priests who ministered there, from all the elements surrounding.
Our LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is this "COVERING" which indicated HIM in
HIS service, not only to HIS people, but to GOD ALMIGHTY. Through
Isaiah, the ETERNALLY LOVING GOD calls HIM, "MY SERVANT."
[Isaiah/Yeshayah 52. 13 - 15] The NEW COVENANT emphasizes this title
which is applied to MESSIAH YESHUA, "GOD has glorified HIS SERVANT
JESUS." [Acts 3. 13] HE came to serve the interests of GOD on earth.
"JESUS…being in the FORM OF GOD...emptied HIMSELF, taking the form
of a SERVANT." [Philippians 2. 5 - 7] Graciously JESUS protects us
from all the wind storms of life, from all the sand of trouble seeping
in about us, and from all the strong winds of false doctrine blowing all
around us.

We who believe on MESSIAH YESHUA, were not content to stand on the
outside and behold the outward covering only, but we went on beyond it
to that Rams' Skins Dyed Red, and we see there the substitution and
consecration of our LORD & KING to the ministry of salvation for all
those who come to HIM. We were not content to stop here at the Rams'
Skin Dyed Red, but we penetrated beyond that to the Goats' Hair Curtain,
to see the reason for it all…our LORD JESUS dying upon the cruel
execution Cross of Golgotha being made even as sin in order that we,
believing upon HIM, might be made as righteousness in HIM. And, we
penetrated the Outer Goats' Hair Curtain through to the Fine-Twined
Linen Curtain to behold RISEN CHRIST in HIS beauty, HIS loveliness, HIS
majesty, glory and power. When we penetrated beyond the curtains, we
saw the colors and the cherubim all around us; we entered the Holy Place
and on into the Holy of Holies where we beheld the "SHEKINAH GLORY"
between the cherubim. What a privilege of personally being in the
presence of the MOST HIGH GOD of all creation throughout eternity.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
The grace of our LORD YESHUA the MOST HOLY ANOINTED ONE be with you
always. May HE dwell in your heart and keep you rooted and grounded in
HIS abounding love.
Cleanse me, O LORD — make me a vessel fully yielded to YOUR will;
make my heart YOUR palace and my life YOUR home.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Ignorance is a bliss. . . until stupidity sets in.

SECRETS WITH GOD
"Let me know YOUR paths, O LORD; teach me YOUR ways. The secret of the
LORD is for those who fear HIM; to them HE makes known HIS covenant."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 25. 4, 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"Indeed, the LORD GOD does nothing unless HE reveals HIS secret to HIS
servants the prophets." [Amos (Amus) 3. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Without a
doubt, the HOLY ONE loves us and has shown it by giving HIS OWN SON,
MESSIAH YESHUA, to pay our penalty, a price we could never satisfy.
"Times for judgment are not hidden from the ALMIGHTY." [Job (Iyob) 24. 1
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"The concealed acts belong to the LORD our GOD, but those things which
are revealed is for us and our children ever to apply, that we may do
all the words of this TEACHING." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 29. 29 Tanakh,
Torah] "HIS secret counsel is with the upright." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3.
32 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "HE reveals deep and secret things; HE knows what
is in the darkness, and light dwells with HIM." [Daniel (Danyel) 2. 22
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The STRENGTH OF ISRAEL spoke in parables to fulfill that which was
spoken of the prophets, "I will open MY mouth in parables; I will utter
things kept secret from the foundation of the world." [Matthew 13. 35]

"It is the glory of GOD to conceal a matter, and the credit of kings to
search out a matter." [Proverbs (Mishle) 25. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The
WORD OF GOD was given as a "mystery which has been hidden from ages and
from generations, but now has been revealed to HIS saints. To them GOD
willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery
among the Gentiles— which is CHRIST in you, the Hope of Glory."
[Colossians 1. 26 - 27] The things which the ALMIGHTY ONE has prepared
for those who love HIM has been "revealed to us through HIS SPIRIT. For
the SPIRIT searches all things, yes, the deep things of GOD." [1
Corinthians 2. 9 - 10] And, it is the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD WHO teaches
us the things of our FAITHFUL & TRUE CREATOR.

The CHOSEN SERVANT, the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, with great authority has
commissioned us to "Go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing
them — and teaching them to observe (obey) all things that I have
commanded you." [Matthew 28. 19 - 20]

Those who belong to the ALMIGHTY LORD GOD OF HEAVEN can thank and praise
HIM for HE has given us wisdom, knowledge, discernment and the ability
to understand and personally know HIM in SPIRIT and in TRUTH intimately.
How can one help but love, adore and obey HIM!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Gemach is an acronym for the Hebrew words gemilut chasadim —"acts
of kindness". . .be sure to do your share of "Gemach" every
day. [The traditional Gemach was a free loan society.]
Grant us clearness of vision, O LORD GOD, to see life as a whole —
from youth to old age, and be comforted in confident-faith that with
YOU, the best is yet to be.

Post  Admin Mon 05 Mar 2012, 10:48 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Beloved are sufferings, as they are a sign of GOD'S mercy. [TALMUD]

TENDER MERCIES & LOVINGKINDNESS
" O LORD, be mindful of YOUR tender mercies and YOUR lovingkindnesses,
they are as old as time." [Psalms (Tehillym) 25. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

These eloquently descriptive words, "tender mercies" and
"lovingkindness" in the acrostic Psalms are so very picturesque of our
BELOVED. No matter how obsolete or outdated the language, the
attributes they represent come from "times of old"— yet they are
comforting for us today. They emphatically reflect the characteristics,
the distinctiveness of our wonderful LORD GOD.

These are some of the richly magnificent SCRIPTURAL testimonies
associated with those precious, though archaic, terms that were
unfortunately dropped from most newer translations of the BIBLE — to
our disadvantage for it has impoverished our speech and perhaps even our
souls.

This theme occurs a number of times in HOLY SCRIPTURE: "Do not withhold
YOUR tender mercies from me, O LORD; let YOUR lovingkindness and YOUR
truth continually preserve me." [Psalm (Tehillym) 40. 11 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] "Have mercy upon me, O ELOHIYM, as befits YOUR lovingkindness;
according to the abundance of YOUR tender mercies, blot out my
transgressions. Wash me thoroughly of my iniquity, and cleanse me from
my sin." [Psalms (Tehillym) 51. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Hear me, O
LORD, for YOUR lovingkindness is great; in accordance with YOUR abundant
and tender mercies turn to me." [Psalm (Tehillym) 69. 16 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] "It is HE (the LORD) WHO redeems your life from the Pit,
surrounds you with lovingkindness and tender mercies. HE satisfies your
mouth with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 103. 4 - 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

All the occurrences of these two expressions, either separate or
together, are applied only to the LORD GOD OF HEAVEN except one found in
the Proverbs ("the tender mercies of the wicked is cruelty."
Proverbs/Tehillym 12. 10-b). When the term applies to men, other
terminology is used (compassion, kindness, forgiveness, gentleness,
etc.). How appropriate, for our AWESOME & GRACIOUS HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL
is uniquely the GOD of love and mercy. Although it is true that none of
us deserve HIS lovingkindness or tender mercy — "The LORD is
gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and abounding in mercy.
The LORD is good to all, and HIS tender mercies are over all HIS works.
All YOUR works shall praise YOU, O LORD, and YOUR faithful ones shall
bless YOU." [Psalm (Tehillym) 145. 8 - 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim] — How
can we help but praise and adore HIM.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!!
May your life be a witness and beneficiary of GOD MOST HIGH'S care, love
and presence. HIS grace is greater then all our needs!
O GOD, do not keep silent; do not hold aloof; do not be quiet, O EL!
For YOUR enemies rage, Your foes assert themselves, they plot craftily
against YOUR people, take counsel against YOUR treasured ones. They say,
"Let us wipe them out as a nation; Israel's name will be
mentioned no more." Deal with them, O my GOD, make them like
thistledown, like stubble driven by the wind, as a fire burns a forest,
as flames scorch the hills, pursue them with YOUR tempest, terrify them
with YOUR storm. Cover their faces with shame so that they seek YOUR
NAME, O YEHOWAH. May they be frustrated and terrified, disgraced and
doomed forever. May they know that YOUR NAME, YOURS alone is YEHOWAH,
the MOST HIGH over all the earth. [see Psalms/Tehillym 83]

Post  Admin Sat 03 Mar 2012, 9:02 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Our trails are like a well that others draw water from so they can
profit from where we have been. And, our path has a purpose beyond
where it leads.

AMALEK: THE ETERNAL ENEMY
"Jacob shall again have calm and quiet with none to trouble him; for I
am with you to deliver you, declares the LORD. I will make an end of all
the nations among which I have dispersed you; but I will not make an end
of you!" [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 30. 10 - 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Reason: Because the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY said so! The king of Egypt
could not weaken them (the Jewish people) [Exodus/Shemot 1. 9-12]; the
waters of the Red Sea could not drown them [Exodus/Shemot 14. 13-31];
Balaam could not curse them [Numbers/B'Midvar 23. 8]; the great fish
could not digest them [Jonah/Yonah 1. 17; 2. 10]; the fiery furnace
could not devour them [Daniel/Danyel 3. 16 - 28]; Haman's gallows could
not hang them [Esther/Ester 5 14; 8. 1 - 2]; nations could not
assimilate them [Esther/Ester 3. 8; Numbers/B'Midvar 23. 9]; and,
dictators cannot annihilate them. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 14. 1 - 2; 1
Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Alef 17. 21 - 22]

No nation demonstrates as much bitterness toward the Israelites as did
the Amalekites. The ancient Israelites long remembered how this brutal
tribe attacked women, children, the aged, and the sick as they wandered
through the wilderness. The Israelites were told by the GOD MOST HIGH
that since Amalek did not revere or regard HIM, they were not to forget
what Amalek did "you shall BLOT OUT the memory of Amalek from under
heaven. Do not forget!" [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 25. 19 Tanakh, Torah]

It was not until the period of King Saul, son of Kish, who came from the
tribe of Benjamin, that there was an opportunity to deal a final blow to
the Amalekites. Unfortunately, King Saul was unable to completely
destroy the Amalekites; they survived only to haunt Israel and become a
famed personification of evil.

When Haman's lineage is identified in the Scroll of Esther, he is known
as "the Agagite" [Esther/Ester 3. 1], the name given to the last king of
the Amalekites captured under Saul. When Mordecai's pedigree is
identified, he is known as a descendant of "Kish, a Benjaminite"
[Esther/Ester 2. 5], the father of Saul.

The author (perhaps Mordecai, as he did keep records see 9. 20) of the
Megillah of Ester (Scroll of Esther) has remarkably brought together
these two central male characters to finish what could not be done a
thousand years earlier. The victory of Light over Darkness; of
Righteousness over Wickedness could now be played out between Mordecai
and Haman. For the Jewish people, the Amalekites and Haman became a
metaphor for wicked people or individuals. . . respectively, whose
hatred of Jews was ravenously unquenchable and merciless.

The Scroll of Esther has brilliantly woven together elements of the
ancient Israelite history by plucking out the unfinished business
between Saul and the Amalekites, as described in 1 Samuel 15; and by
projecting that clash between Amalek and Israel against the backdrop of
the story of Esther. On the Sabbath before Purim, Sabbath Zakhor
(Sabbath of Remembrance) , a special section from the TORAH is read,
reminding Israel to remember Amalek, and the haf-TORAH is the story of
Saul and his failure to destroy this wicked and vicious tribe.

The struggle between good and evil never ceases, and so the world of
Amalek and Haman are still mentioned by Jews everywhere when they need
to identify a people who seeks to destroy them, or an individual who
hates them.

"Purim (lots — referring to the lots cast by Haman to determine the
day decreed for the Jewish annihilation) shall never cease among the
Jews, and the memory of them shall never perish among their
descendants. " [Esther (Ester) 9. 28 Tanakh, Kethuvim] It is an
"occasion for joy and gladness, happy festivals for the House of Judah."
[Zechariah (Zecharyah) 8. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im] This holiday is linked to
love, truth, integrity and peace.

Although there will be an Amalek in every generation who will try to
destroy, not only the Jewish people, but all of GOD'S elect, the
followers of the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA have a greater deliverance than the
Jews of old; a greater enemy than Haman, but a "GREATER DELIVERER" than
Queen Esther. We, who know the MIGHTY CONQUEROR, remember HIS promise
that we also shall be conquerors over every foe. The LORD JESUS has all
power in heaven and earth declared to all who believe on HIM: "Behold,
I give you the authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over
all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you."
[Luke 10. 19 - 20] And, we celebrate because our names are "Written in
Heaven in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE!"

"HallaluYAH! Sing to the LORD a new song, HIS praises in the
congregation of HIS faithful people. Let Israel rejoice in their MAKER;
let the children of Zion be joyful in their KING. Let them praise HIS
NAME in dance; Let them sing praises to HIM with the timbrel and lyre.
For the LORD takes pleasure in HIS people; HE will beautify the humble
with salvation. Let the faithful exult in glory! Let them shout for joy
on their beds. Let high praises (Hosanna! Adoration! Honor!), of GOD be
in their mouth, and a double-edged sword in their hands to inflict
vengeance on the nations, and punishment on the peoples; binding their
kings with shackles, their nobles with fetters of iron; to carry out
judgment written against them — This is the glory of all HIS
faithful people. HalleluYAH." [Psalms/Tehillym 149 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Praise GOD for the victory!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath Zakhor — Sabbath of Remembrance! Those who keep the
Desire of Days (Sabbath) and call it their delight will be satiated and
delighted with GOD'S goodness.
The title "Megillah Esther (Scroll [entire story] of Esther)" actually
mean "revealing the hidden." Unlike every other Book in HOLY WRIT,
Megillah Esther never mentions GOD'S nAME even once but the hidden hand
of the ALMIGHTY ONE is revealed through the events. After all, there is
no such thing as coincidence with our loving HEAVENLY FATHER!
The Book of Esther is read to recall the miracle of salvation of the
Jews and to remind us that in any generation when any type of Haman
raises his hand against GOD'S chosen people, we can expect another
miracle.
Praised are YOU, YEHOWAH our GOD, SOVEREIGN OF THE UNIVERSE, WHO makes
us holy with YOUR mitzvoth and greatly favors us with the Holy Shabbat,
lovingly and graciously given to us. "Hag Semaiach —Good Holiday!"

Post  Admin Fri 02 Mar 2012, 6:37 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A person who aims at nothing has a target he cannot miss.

BLOOMING RODS
"The WORD OF THE LORD came to me— What do you see, Jeremiah? I
replied— I see a branch of an almond tree (Hebrew: shaqed). The LORD
said to me: You have seen right, for I am watchful (Hebrew shoqed —
also means to hasten) to bring MY WORD to pass." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 1.
11 - 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Jeremiah saw a branch of an almond tree budding, this was a sign that
the RIGHTEOUS LORD GOD was ready to judge Israel for her idolatrous
ways. The ETERNAL ONE told Jeremiah, "The iniquity of the House of
Israel and Judah is exceedingly very great, the land is full of crime
and bloodshed, the city full of corruption and perversity. For they
say— The LORD has forsaken the land, and the LORD does not see!
— I, in turn, will show no pity or compassion; I will give them
their requital for their deeds." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 9. 9 - 10 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

"Thus says the LORD GOD — Disaster after disaster is coming! Here is
the day! See, the cycle has come round; it has appeared. The rod has
blossomed; arrogance has budded, lawlessness has grown into a rod of
wickedness. Nothing comes of them, nor of their abundance, nor of their
wealth; nor is there preeminence among them. The time has come, the day
draws near." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 7. 5, 10 - 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The "blossomed rod" was the sign showing the arrogant pride of the
people who had thought they were well set and nothing could touch or
harm them. Although the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL had given plenty of
warnings regarding the downfall of Jerusalem and Judah, and now the day
has come . . .destruction and wrath on the whole multitude of people and
the hand of the LORD OF HOSTS is doing the striking.

"The end is near, doom is coming! The hour of doom is coming! It stirs
against you; there it comes! Doom has gone out; the rod has blossomed,
pride has budded. There is panic on the mountains, not joy. Very soon I
will pour out My wrath upon you and spend MY anger on you; I will judge
you according to your ways, and I will requite you for all your
abominations. I will show you no pity and no compassion; but I will
requite you for your ways, and for the abominations in your midst. And
you shall know it was I the LORD WHO punished." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 7.
6 - 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Previously the children of Israel had quarreled in regards to the ways
and will of the LORD GOD, and he had a man of each tribe present his rod
so the SOVEREIGN LOVING CREATOR could show HIS choice of men by causing
the rod of that man too blossom. "Moses deposited the twelve staffs
before the LORD in the Tent of Witness; and the staff of Aaron was among
them. The next day that Moses entered the Tent of Witness, and there the
staff of Aaron of the house of Levi had sprouted: it brought forth buds,
produced blossoms, and yielded ripe almonds...The LORD said to Moses
— Put Aaron's staff back before the TESTIMONY OF WITNESS, to be kept
as a sign to rebels, so that their murmurings against ME may cease, lest
they die." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 17. 6 -8, 10 Tanakh, Torah]

There will be another blossoming and budding on a grander scale that all
who remain faithful to EMINENT & EXALTED LORD will see with their own
eyes and experience in abundance: "In days to come Jacob shall strike
root; Israel shall blossom and bud and the face of the world shall be
covered with fruit. The arid desert shall be glad, the wilderness and
the wasteland shall rejoice and shall blossom as the rose. It shall
blossom abundantly, it shall also exult and shout." [Isaiah (Yeshayah)
27. 6; 35. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Will you be among those who walk humbly with the LORD in service for the
WORD OF GOD and the TESTIMONY OF JESUS striving to build the Kingdom who
will hear the words, "Come you blessed of MY FATHER, inherit the Kingdom
prepared for you from the foundation of the world, because...in as much
as you did it to one of the least of these MY brethren, you did it to
ME." [Matthew 25. 1 - 40]

Or will you be among those who in rebellion and pride strive to exalt
yourself like Korah (who challenged Moses & Aaron's authority,
Numbers/B'Midvar 16) who will hear the words, "Depart from ME you
cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels,
because...in as much as you did it not unto one of the least of these,
you did it not unto ME." [Matthew 25. 41 - 46] Beyond doubt, and the
time is soon-coming, when all shall see the glory of the LORD, the
excellency of YEHOWAH. Are you ready?

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O LORD GOD, keep our tongue from evil and our lips from speaking guile.
Be our support when grief silences our voice, and our comfort when woe
bends our spirits. Implant humility in our soul and strengthen our heart
with perfect faith in YOU. Help us to be strong in temptation and trial
and to be patient and forgiving when others wrong us. Guide us, by the
LIGHT of YOUR counsel that we may ever find strength in YOU, our ROCK
and our REDEEMER. Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is not valued at all unless HE is valued above
all.

SING TO THE LORD
"Sing to the LORD a new song, HIS praise from the ends of the earth."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 10a Tanakh, Nevi'im]

HOLY SCRIPTURE richly abounds with singing praises to the MAGNIFICENT
CREATOR, the first mention of a new song is probably when the angels
sang at the time the ALL-WISE MASTER laid the corner stone of the earth,
"When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of GOD shouted
for joy!" [Job (Iyob) 38. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Psalms extol the WORD OF THE LORD GOD and HIS handiwork, "Sing to
HIM a new song...For the WORD OF THE LORD is right; HIS work is done in
truth. HE loves righteousness and justice; the earth is full of the
goodness of the LORD. By the WORD OF THE LORD the heavens were made, by
the breath of HIS mouth, all their host." [Psalms (Tehillym) 33. 3 - 6
Tanakh, Kethuvim] The work of HIS hands were reasons for a new song to
be sung, "Sing to the LORD a new song, for HE has done marvelous things;
HIS right hand and HIS holy arm have won HIM victory." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 98. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

A new song is placed prophetically on the lips of YESHUA, the ANOINTED
ONE, corresponding to HIS thoughts on the Cross of Calvary after HIS
sufferings were finished and HE had paid the price for our redemption
from all our sins. "HE lifted ME out of a miry pit...HE put a new song
into my mouth — even praise to our GOD." [Psalms (Tehillym) 40. 2 -
3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

There is new song mentioning the spreading of the GOOD NEWS: "Sing to
the LORD a new song! Sing to the LORD all the earth. Sing to the LORD,
bless HIS NAME. Proclaim the GOOD NEWS of HIS salvation from day to day.
Declare HIS glory among the nations, HIS wonders deeds among all
peoples." [Psalms (Tehillym) 96. 1 – 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Another
text focuses on the RISEN ONE'S soon-coming as KING over the whole
earth: "Oh ELOHIYM, I will sing YOU a new song, sing a hymn to YOU WHO
gives victory to kings." [Psalms (Tehillym) 144. 9 – 10a Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

Finally, there are two new songs that all the redeemed of the LORD will
sing, "They sang as it were a new song before the throne, before the
four living creatures, and the elders; and no one could learn that song
except the hundred and forty-four thousand who were redeemed from the
earth." [Revelation 14. 3] We will all sing, "YOU are worthy to take the
scroll, and to open its seals; for YOU were slain, and have redeemed us
to GOD by YOUR blood out of every tribe and tongue and people and
nation, and have made us kings and priests to our GOD and we shall reign
on the earth." [Revelation 5. 9 - 10]

Sing and give praises to the LORD GOD MOST HIGH for HIS wondrous deeds,
give HIM glory!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Exalted and hallowed be GOD'S greatness in this world HE created. May
Your will be fulfilled and YOUR sovereignty revealed, MOST HOLY ONE, in
the days of our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel
speedily and in our time, Amen. May YOU be blessed forever, even
throughout all eternity. May YOU, be blessed, praised & honored,
extolled & glorified, adored and exalted above all else. Amen
Zey ha-yom asaw Adonai, nagilah ve-neesmechah voh. This is the day the
LORD has made, we will rejoice and we will be glad in it.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Redeem us, O LORD GOD, from the serfdom (slavery) of ignorance and
irreverence.

ALL DAGONS WILL BOW
"Early the next day, the Ashdodites found Dagon fallen and lying face
down on the ground before the Ark of the LORD. The head and both hands
of Dagon were broken off, lying on the threshold; only the torso of
Dagon was left intact." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 5. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

When the Philistines took the Ark of GOD and brought it from Ebenezer
(means: stone of help) to Ashdod (denotes: aggressor, enemy, ravager)
they brought the Ark into the Temple of Dagon and set it by that heathen
idol. Subsequently, when they arose early the next morning. . . there
was Dagon. . . fallen on its face to the earth before the Ark of the
LORD. So they took Dagon and set it in its place again. [1
Samuel/Shemuel Alef 5. 1 - 3] To the people's dreaded shock and dismay,
they again found the dead idol face-down before the Ark of the MIGHTY
ONE. This time, it's head and hands broken off — demonstrating his
worthlessness. When the men of Ashdod saw how matters stood, they said,
"The Ark of the GOD OF ISRAEL must not remain with us, for HIS hand has
dealt harshly with us and with our god, Dagon." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef)
5. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

How very foolish people are to turn to make-believe, imaginary gods and
idol's made with their own hands. For all the false gods (Moslem's
Allah, Buddhist's Buddha, Mormon's Maroni, statues, images & idols of
so-called gods, sports figures, movie stars, nature worshipers, etc.)
will also prove to be just as useless as Dagon and will fall before the
GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL. They all will stoop and bow down. They cannot
release or rescue anyone from his burden and they themselves must be
carried. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 46. 1 - 2]

The first commandment of the TRUE & LIVING CREATOR was: "You shall have
no other gods besides ME." Furthermore, "You shall not make for yourself
a sculptured image, or any likeness of what is in the heavens above, or
on the earth below, or in the waters under the earth. You shall not bow
down to them or serve them. For I the LORD your GOD am a JEALOUS,
IMPASSIONED GOD." [Exodus (Shemot) 20. 3 - 5 Tanakh, Torah] Later HE
admonished the people, "You must tear down and destroy their altars,
smash their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images and the
sacred posts; for you must not worship any other god, because the LORD,
WHOSE NAME is QANNA (jealous — impassioned) , is a JEALOUS GOD."
[Exodus (Shemot) 34. 13 - 15 Tanakh, Torah]

The HOLY SCRIPTURES are peppered with warnings— "Turn to ME and
gain success, all the ends of earth! For I am GOD, and there is none
else. By MYSELF have I sworn; from MY mouth has issued truth, a word
that shall not turn back: to ME every knee shall bow, every tongue swear
loyalty." [Exodus (Shemot) 20. 22 - 23 Tanakh, Torah] It is also
written— "As I live, says the LORD, every knee shall bow to ME, and
every tongue shall confess to GOD. So then each of us shall give account
of himself to GOD." [Romans 14. 11 - 12] "Therefore GOD also has highly
exalted HIM and given HIM the NAME which is above every name, that at
the NAME OF JESUS every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of
those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue
should confess that JESUS CHRIST is LORD, to the glory of GOD THE
FATHER." [Philippians 2. 9 - 11]

Oh come and see that the LORD is good! Bow your knee and your heart
before the GREAT GOD OF THE UNIVERSE willingly, now before it is too
late. Turn to the KING ETERNAL, HE alone has the power and ability to
save us all from certain and imminent eternal torment.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
O EVER-FAITHFUL GOD, keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking
guild. Be my SUPPORT when grief silences my voice, and my COMFORT when
woe bends my spirit. Plant humility in my soul, and strengthen my heart
with perfect faith in YOU. Help me to be strong in trials and
temptations and to be humble always before YOU, my STRONG-TOWER. Guide
me by the LIGHT of YOUR counsel, and let me ever find rest in YOU —
my ROCK and my REDEEMER. Praised be the LORD GOD to WHOM all praise is
due for ever and ever. Amen!

Post  Admin Tue 28 Feb 2012, 9:33 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Qualify yourself for the study of the TORAH, and let all your actions be
in the service of GOD ETERNAL for it cannot be passed on to you like a
heritage.

CRIMSON CORD OF HOPE
"When we invade the country, you tie this line of crimson cord to the
window through which you let us down. Bring your father, your mother,
your brothers and all your family together in your house." [Joshua
(Yehoshua) 2. 18 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The spies whom Joshua sent to spy out the lands of Jericho, spoke these
words to Rahab, the prostitute, after she protected the men from being
discovered by the officials of Jericho. Rahab declared to the spies
that "the LORD your GOD is the only GOD in heaven above and on earth
below." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 2. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Therefore, "by faith
the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she
had received the spies with peace." [Hebrews 11. 31 ]

Rahab's spiritual salvation came because of her faith in the true and
living GOD OF ISRAEL; she soon entered into the covenant family of
Israel and even became a member of the family line leading to the LORD
JESUS CHRIST. Rahab's physical deliverance, on the other hand, and that
of her family depended on a "line of scarlet thread" suspended from her
window identifying her home as being redeemed by the blood, so to speak,
when Jericho fell and all its inhabitants perished.

This thin, blood-red line constituted a very slender hope for Rahab in
the midst of such a scene of judgment and total destruction, but it was
sufficient. Tiqvah is the Hebrew word for line, the ground of hope,
thing hoped for (the outcome) — how fascinating! This is the first
time tiqvah is translated as such . . .elsewhere it is translated as
"hope." Possibly that is when line came to mean hope because of this
memorable experience, when a "crimson, scarlet hope" extended all the
way from a repentant sinner to the MOST HOLY LORD, the GREAT GOD OF
HOSTS. "For YOU are my HOPE (LINE), O LORD GOD, my TRUST from my
youth." [Psalms (Tehillym) 71. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"And everyone who has this hope in HIM purifies himself, just as HE is
pure." [1 John 3. 3] "O HOPE of Israel! O LORD! All who forsake YOU
shall be put to shame." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 17. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
Definitely, the blood of the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is our "LINE OF
HOPE" to the ETERNAL FATHER — and through HIS PRECIOUS GIFT to us,
we are redeemed for all ages and bound in HIS gracious mercies and love.
The blood of the PRINCE OF PEACE, the CRUCIFIED & RISEN SAVIOR is our
only covering for sin and the only basis for eternal HOPE OF GLORY.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our GOD, the LORD is ONE. Praised be HIS NAME
WHOSE glorious Kingdom is forever and ever. Eternal truth it is that HE
alone is GOD, and there is none else. YOUR love has watched over us in
the night of oppression; YOUR mercy has sustained us in the hour of
trial. May YOUR Law rule the life of all YOUR children and YOUR truth
unite our hearts in fellowship. Praise to YOU, O LORD, our BLESSED
REDEEMER.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Man's way leads to a hopeless end . . .GOD'S way leads to an Endless
Hope.

RAM'S SKINS DYED RED
"Make for the tent a covering of Tanned Ram Skins dyed red." [Exodus
(Shemot) 26. 14 Tanakh, Torah]

This is the third covering for the Tabernacle. The Rams' Skins Dyed Red
was to cover the Ohel (the Wilderness Tent), the black goats' hair
canvas. The blood of the LORD JESUS CHRIST (red) blots out the
blackness of sin (the goat).

The ram is the animal representing substitution and provision in HOLY
SCRIPTURE. "YEHOWAH YIREH — The LORD will see and provide" is the
name OMNIPOTENT GOD first used in the instance when there was a
substitute of a ram for Isaac. [Genesis/Bereshith 22. 13 – 14]
Isaac would live because a ram would die in his place.

The ram is also the animal used for the consecration of the priesthood.
When Aaron and his sons were set apart for their office, a ram was slain
for them and its blood applied. [Leviticus/Vayikra 8. 22- 24] This skin
is a symbol indicating the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH and HIS consecration
to the work of the ministry. CHRIST JESUS, the PERFECT SACRIFICE
humbled HIMSELF and became obedient to the FATHER, even to the death on
the Cross. YESHUA, the WORD MADE FLESH said, "I delight to do YOUR
will, O GOD; not MY will, but YOURS" [Isaiah/Yeshayah 50. 5 - 7; Luke
22. 39 - 46] . . .this was HIS consecration. YESHUA, the HOPE OF
ISRAEL, was a SUBSTITUTE for many, for who-so-ever will come and receive
of HIS life. MESSIAH YESHUA is the RAM of Consecration, Provision &
Substitution.

The skin of the ram was beautiful, but it could not be seen on the
outside or the inside of the building. It was hidden by the other
coverings, and there were no dimensions given for this skin. Only the
HEAVENLY FATHER saw the complete consecration and obedience of MESSIAH
YESHUA to the DIVINE will. We cannot fathom the depths of love in the
consecration and death of the LORD YESHUA; neither can we limit the
blood. [Psalm/Tehillym 40. 6 - 9; Hebrews 10. 4 - 9]

The MAN OF SORROWS was THE LAMB. . . meek, lowly and submissive to the
FATHER'S will. At the same time, YESHUA was a RAM; vigorous, strong,
and determined to do the FATHER'S will. [John 4. 34; 6. 38; 8. 29; 18.
5, 6, 11; Luke 9. 51] Those who believe in LORD JESUS CHRIST are the
"sheep of HIS pasture" and should be as the RAM in their consecration to
follow HIM WHO is the HOLY ONE, the MESSIAH, the HIGH & EXALTED
REDEEMER. [Romans 8. 35; 12. 1; 1 Corinthians 6. 19 - 20; 9. 26 - 27;
Acts 20. 24; Philippians 3. 8; Hebrews 12. 1] Our heart's cry should
also be, "I delight to do YOUR will, O GOD; YOUR will, not mine" —
and continually delight in the Law and the HOLY WRITTEN WORD OF GOD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
DEAR BLESSED SAVIOR, I dare not start the day without first communing in
prayer with YOU. Thanking YOU for this new day of promise to do some
good deed for others. Strengthen me to lend a hand where needed; to
teach others how to be brave and forgiving; forbid that I should ever
judge another or hold a grudge or prove myself shallow or vain, or
through some thoughtless act, cause pain or shame YOUR HOLY NAME. Keep
me humble, kind and sincere; drive from my heart all doubt and fear.
And, should joy or sorrow come, grant me wisdom, LORD, to see and
understand that it is from YOUR hand and that YOUR great love abides
still lest I forget to seek YOUR face. Remind me often that I am weak,
walk close beside me all the way. This is my prayer, my petition today
and forever. So I thank YOU, LORD GOD for YOUR great mercies and for
YOUR salvation and the hope we have in YOU alone. Amen!

Post  Admin Sun 26 Feb 2012, 9:52 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The day is short, the work is plentiful, the laborers are slothful, the
reward is much and the MASTER is urgent.

COUNTED WORTHY
"Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to
escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the
SON OF MAN." [Luke 21. 36]

The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA spoke these words as HE taught of HIS second
coming, thus directing us to prepare our minds and hearts to "bear
fruits worthy of repentance" [Matthew 3. 8] that we might escape the
wrath that ALMIGHTY GOD will soon bring upon this corrupt and sinful
world. The SOVEREIGN LORD is coming for those "who have not defiled
their garments" and who walk daily with the RIGHTEOUS ONE in obedience
of HIS commands; they too shall walk with HIM "in white, for they are
worthy." [Revelation 3. 4]

Although some may preach and profess that man can never be worthy, the
LORD JESUS would not have commanded the impossible, for with HIM, all
things are possible. "He who does not take his cross and follow after
ME is not worthy of ME." [Matthew 10. 38]

The Apostle Paul continued to instruct and admonish us to walk worthy:
"I, therefore, the prisoner of the LORD, beseech you to walk worthy of
the calling with which you were called." [Ephesians 4. 1] "We exhorted,
and comforted, and charged every one of you, as a father does his own
children, that you would walk worthy of GOD WHO calls you into HIS OWN
Kingdom and glory." [1 Thessalonians 2. 11 - 12]

May you be filled with the "knowledge of HIS will in all wisdom and
spiritual understanding; that you may have a walk worthy of the LORD,
fully pleasing HIM, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in
the knowledge of GOD." [Colossians 1. 9 - 10] "In all your
persecutions and tribulations that you endure, which is manifest
evidence of the righteous judgment of GOD, that you may be counted
worthy of the Kingdom of GOD, for which you also suffer." [2
Thessalonians 1. 4 - 5]

When YESHUA ha'MASHIACH returns, those found worthy will be ruptured
(caught up). "For the LORD HIMSELF will descend from heaven with a
shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of GOD. And
the dead in CHRIST will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in
the air. And thus we shall always be with the LORD." [1 Thessalonians 4.
16 - 17]

Those not worthy will be left behind. "It is a righteous thing with GOD
to repay with tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are
troubled rest with us when the LORD JESUS is revealed from heaven with
HIS mighty angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not
know GOD, and on those who do not obey the GOSPEL of our LORD JESUS
CHRIST. These shall be punished with EVERLASTING DESTRUCTION from the
PRESENCE OF THE LORD and from the glory of HIS power, when HE comes, in
that Day, to be glorified in HIS saints and to be admired among all
those who believe, because our testimony among you was believed.
Therefore we also pray always for you that our GOD would count you
worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of HIS
goodness and the work of faith with power." [2 Thessalonians 1. 6
11; Psalms/Tehillym 50. 1 - 6]

As saints of the MOST HIGH GOD we are called to be worthy to escape,
worthy to walk in the white garments, worthy of the calling, worthy of
YESHUA OF NAZARETH and worthy of the Kingdom of GOD; just as the LAMB OF
GOD proves to be worthy of all worship, adoration and praise with GOD
THE FATHER: "Worthy is the LAMB WHO was slain to receive power and
riches and wisdom, and strength and honor and glory and blessing! Amen"
[Revelation 5. 12] Yes and Amen!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE
dwells within us, bless you abundantly and guard you, our dear ones in
the coming week. May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be present
throughout each day so they are filled with love and unselfishness -
that happiness and contentment may abide in our homes. may the hallowed
influences of this day give us strength to do YOUR perfect will, O GOD,
with a steadfast, submissive and loving spirit and with a heart of
wisdom. Amen We are praying for you and desire that yours is a Tov
Shavua A Good Week!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
To keep yourself in good shape, practice random acts of intelligent
thinking and senseless acts of self-control.

AMAZING, ASTONISHING TEACHING
"And when the multitudes heard this, they were astonished at HIS
Teaching." [Matthew 22. 33]

Time and again the multitudes was astonished at the amazing teaching of
the LORD JESUS. This occurrence was after the Sadducees questioned the
MASTER about the resurrection and HE made it clear that they knew
neither the power GOD nor the SCRIPTURES.

The first use teaching, doctrine by the MESSIAH was just after HIS
sermon on the Mount, where the people again were astonished at what HE
was saying because HIS Word was with such power. [Matthew 7. 28] When
JESUS taught in the synagogue at Capernaum— again they were
astonished at HIS Teaching, for HE taught them "as one having authority,
and not as the scribes." [Mark 1. 21 – 22; also Luke 4. 31 – 34]
Even the "scribes and chief priests heard it and sought how they might
destroy HIM; for they feared HIM, because all the people were astonished
at HIS teaching." [Mark 11. 18 – 19] And the preaching of the LORD
from Paul's mouth astonished many of the proconsul and they believed
when they heard what was being taught and saw what had been done. [see
Acts 13. 4 - 12]

MESSIAH YESHUA spoke with authority, not as the scribes for HE held the
credentials to declare, "MY doctrine is not MINE, but HIS WHO sent ME.
If anyone wills to do HIS will, he shall know concerning the doctrine,
whether it is from GOD or whether I speak on MY OWN authority. Whoever
speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but HE who seeks the glory of
the ONE who sent HIM is true, and no unrighteousness is in HIM." [John
7. 16 – 19]

Paul taught this astonishing doctrine too being very careful to teach
only the WORD OF GOD. This too is our due, to teach only the context of
the inerrant, doctrinal authority of GOD'S WRITTEN WORD. Teaching
and doctrine are the same, so true instruction is indoctrination
"teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you" [Matthew
28. 20] — the central theme of MESSIAH'S Great Commission. It
is imperative that we, like Paul, "declare to you the whole counsel of
GOD" [Acts 20. 27]; for "whoever transgresses and does not abide in the
doctrine of CHRIST does not have GOD. He who abides in the doctrine of
CHRIST has both the FATHER and the SON. If anyone comes to you and does
not bring this doctrine, do not receive him into your house nor greet
him; for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds." [2 John 9 - 11]

Truly, we serve an amazingly astonishing HOLY MASTER.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Welcoming Shabbat Mevarchim, the Sabbath of Blessing (Rosh Chodesh
— the new month, Adar). May it be YOUR will that the new month bring
us a life of peace, a life of goodness, a life of blessing, a life of
health, and a life of prosperity.
We thank YOU, Great & MIGHTY GOD for by YOUR mercies and grace we were
taught the sanctity of the weekly day of rest, Sabbath is the sign of
the tie that binds us to YOU. Keep us ever grateful and grant us YOUR
perfect rest. Amen

Post  Admin Fri 24 Feb 2012, 8:52 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Reality should never deter a good imagination.

HIS GOOD PLEASURE
"But it pleased the LORD to bruise HIM (YESHUA); HE has put HIM to
grief. When YOU made HIS soul an offering for the guilty, HE shall see
HIS offspring and have long life, and that through HIM the pleasure of
the LORD'S purpose might prosper at HIS hand." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 10
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This MESSIANIC Prophecy is the most amazing love of all, the revelation
that it pleased the HEAVENLY FATHER to put HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON through
a terrible, bruising death. This also shows that CREATOR GOD is
interested and pleasures in things that happen to us. "For HE made HIM
WHO knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness
of GOD in HIM." [2 Corinthians 5. 21]

The only possible way "the pleasure of the LORD" could be accomplished
was to redeem souls of lost mankind, whom HE created for eternal
fellowship with HIM. "For the LORD delights in HIS people; HE adorns
the lowly with salvation." [Psalms (Tehillym) 149. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"May those who desire MY righteousness sing forth joyously; may they
always say— Extolled be the LORD WHO desires the well-being of HIS
servant." [Psalms (Tehillym) 35. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The NEW COVENANT records several times when the EVERLASTING KING spoke
from heaven assuring us that HE was "well pleased" with HIS BELOVED SON
— MESSIAH YESHUA. [Matthew 3. 17; 17. 5; Mark 1. 11; Luke 3. 22; 2
Peter 1. 17] "Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise HIM!" This is
intricately difficult, if not impossible, to understand. . . but if it
were not true, none of us could ever be saved. The LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH proclaimed to HIS little flock— "it is your FATHER'S
good pleasure to give you the Kingdom." [Luke 12. 32] "Like a
SHEPHERD, HE pastures HIS flock; HE gathers the lambs in HIS arms and
carries them in HIS bosom; gently leading those who are with young."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 40. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

We were created for "HIS pleasure" [Revelation 4. 11], and we have been
predestined "to adoption as sons by JESUS CHRIST to HIMSELF, according
to the good pleasure of HIS will." [Ephesians 1. 5] This is too much
for us to comprehend, so we must believe and rest in the great truth
that "it is GOD WHO works in you both to will and to do for HIS good
pleasure." [Philippians 2. 13] We are assured that "the LORD takes
pleasure in them that fear HIM, those who hope in HIS mercy and faithful
care." [Psalms (Tehillym) 147. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "In the wisdom of
GOD, it pleased GOD through the foolishness of the message preached to
save those who believe." [1 Corinthians 1. 21] Let us rejoice with
thanksgiving for HIS gentle compassion and lovingkindness toward us.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
LORD GOD MOST HIGH, YOU are my praise and my glory! Help us LORD, to
break down the barriers which keep us from YOU. . . falsehood &
faithlessness, callousness & selfishness, injustice & hard-heartedness.
Thank YOU for YOUR tender mercies and YOUR amazing love. Hasten the day
that we may behold the glory of YOUR might, when the world will be
perfected under the Kingdom of YOU, our ALMIGHTY GOD & KING.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
An apology is a good way to have the last word.

BEING BORN ANEW
"The SPIRIT HIMSELF bears witness with our spirit that we are children
of GOD." [Romans 8. 16]

Every born-again child of the MOST HIGH GOD has the threefold proof of
their new birth...proof that he does belong to the KING OF GLORY. This
threefold proof is first Inward; second, Outgoing; and third, Outward:

INWARD: Whoever believes that JESUS is the MESSIAH is born of God. "He
who believes in the SON OF GOD has the witness in himself; he who does
not believe GOD has made HIM a liar, because he has not believed the
testimony that GOD has given of HIS SON. And this is the testimony: that
GOD has given us eternal life, and this life is in HIS SON. He who has
the SON has life; he who does not have the SON OF GOD does not have
life." [1 John 5. 10 - 13] This is inward proof of the new birth.

OUTGOING: "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of GOD; and
everyone who loves is born of GOD and knows GOD. He who does not love
does not know GOD, for GOD is love. In this the love of GOD was
manifested toward us, that GOD has sent HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON into the
world, that we might live through HIM. In this is love, not that we
loved GOD, but that HE loved us and sent HIS SON to be the PROPITIATION
for our sins. Beloved, if GOD so loved us, we also ought to love one
another." [1 John 4. 7 - 11] We are to love our fellow man with the
love of GOD. This we are not capable of doing in the flesh; we must let
the ALMIGHTY ONE love man through us. "Now hope does not disappoint,
because the love of GOD has been poured out in our hearts by the HOLY
SPIRIT WHO was given to us." [Romans 5. 5] This is Outgoing proof of
the new birth.

OUTWARD: "If you know that HE is righteous, you know that everyone who
practices righteousness is born of HIM." [1 John 2. 29] If you are born
of the MASTER, you will make a practice of doing right at all times and
at all cost. "Therefore, if anyone is in CHRIST, he is a new creation;
old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." [2
Corinthians 5. 17] This is Out-ward proof of the In-ward new nature.

Therefore, since we are now a "new creation" — we cannot say "that
we are just human" — for we are not, we are just that..."a new
creation." [Galatians 6. 15] It is the LORD, the MASTER DESIGNER, WHO
"created man's spirit within him." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 12. 1 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

Believing there is an EVER-LIVING HEAVENLY CREATOR won't save you. But
knowing "The ONE" WHO redeemed us and serving HIM as LORD of our lives
will. . . IF we keep HIS commandments — that's what is significant.
We are MIGHTY ONE'S vehicle to express HIS thoughts, aims, emotions and
actions to accomplish HIS purpose.

Therefore, let your conduct be worthy of the GOSPEL OF CHRIST, stand
fast in one spirit with one mind striving together for the faith of the
LIFE-GIVING TRUTH. Not only are we to believe in our LOVING YESHUA, but
also to be prepared to suffer for HIS sake. The LORD JESUS said, "These
things I have spoken to you, that in ME you may have peace. In the world
you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the
world." [John 16. 33]

We can know of a certainty that we are the children of the MOST HIGH,
"when we love GOD and keep HIS commandments. " [1 John 5. 2] "Beloved,
now we are children of GOD; and it has not yet been revealed what we
shall be, but we know that when HE is revealed, we shall be like HIM,
for we shall see HIM as HE is." [1 John 3. 2] Oh such great joy…to
be like our BLESSED SAVIOR and to be with HIM eternally.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Be gracious to us ALMIGHTY LORD GOD that we may understand and fulfill
the Teaching of YOUR WORD. Enlighten our eyes in YOUR Law that we may
and cling to YOUR commandments. Unite our hearts to love, fully trust,
and revere YOU and to learn YOUR WORDS and wisdom. LORD YOU are my
PRAISE, my STRENGTH, my FORTRESS, my REFUGE — in days of affliction
and at all times.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A person does not fall because he is weak, but because he thinks he is
strong.

STAY & STAFF
"For lo! The SOVEREIGN LORD OF HOSTS will remove from Jerusalem and from
Judah STAFF and STAY the whole supply of food, the whole supply of
water, and the whole supply of clothing." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 3. 1
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In this verse in Isaiah, two forms are used for the same word "staff" or
"support". The first use in the verse is the absolute form, meaning the
word is standing alone. The second use is the construct form in which
the type of staff is described (in this case "staff of bread" and
"supply of water"). The absolute form is pronounced "mashen" for the
masculine and "mashena" for the feminine. So in this verse, the English
says ...The LORD OF HOSTS will remove from Jerusalem and from Judah
Staff — "mashen" and Stay — "mashena".

At the time of this writing by the Prophet Isaiah, there was severe
spiritual poverty, not only in Jerusalem, but throughout all Judah and
Israel. The first chapters of Isaiah pens a strong denunciation of the
people's depravity due to uncontrolled sin; and tells of the coming
national and ultimate judgments due to arrogance, pride and confidence
in themselves rather then trusting on the GOD OF ISRAEL. "Then man's
haughtiness shall be bowed down and humbled, and the pride of men
brought low. None but the LORD shall be exalted in that day." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 2. 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In phrasing the message in such a manner, Isaiah is trying to teach or
warn the sinful people that ALMIGHTY GOD would remove all forms of
support in order to humble them. "Soldier and warrior, magistrate and
prophet, diviner and elder; captain of fifty, judges and counselor,
skilled artisan and expert craftsman; I will make boys their rulers and
babes shall govern them." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 3. 2 - 3 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
This judgment would also prove to them that the LORD GOD ETERNAL is the
only real STAY and STAFF: "In that day, radiance from the BRANCH OF THE
LORD will be beautiful and glorious." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 4. 2 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] And, "The LORD OF HOSTS is exalted by judgment, the LORD
ALMIGHTY proved holy in righteousness. Then lambs shall graze in their
meadows, and in the waste places of the rich oppressors, the kids shall
feed." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 5. 16 - 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

There is another Hebrew word, "sha'an" which means "to lean on, to trust
in, to support, to rely, rest, stay." The ALL-WISE LORD GOD wants to
teach us HIS WAYS, HIS LAWS, and HIS WORD. Those who are willing and
obedient are then admonished to "Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and do not rely on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge
HIM, and HE will guide (as a SHEPHERD) your path. Do not be wise in your
own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 5 - 7
Tanakh, Kethuvim] Oh, how sweet to trust in JESUS and lean on HIS
unfailing arm.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
LORD, make us swifter than eagles and stronger than lions in doing YOUR
will; and may our love for YOU be our crown of glory and armor of
strength.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Those who seek GODly wisdom cultivate true courage.

OVERCOMERS
"Go, assemble all the Jews who live in Shushan, and fast in my behalf;
do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maidens will
fast likewise. Then I will go to the king, though it is contrary to the
law; and if I perish, I shall perish!" [Esther (Ester) 4. 16 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

Hadassah, daughter of Abihail, the beautiful courageous queen who was
renamed Esther, spoke these memorable words proving she was prepared to
risk her own life to save the lives of her people, the Jews. It was a
known death sentence for anyone to intrude into the king's inner
court who had not been called, except the one to whom the king would
hold out his golden scepter. However the matter was urgent, so Queen
Esther chose to go against the commands of men in order to obey
GOD'S higher bidding. It is always the right thing to listen and
obey the voice of the MASTER, no matter how men may judge us. "We ought
to obey GOD rather than men...And we are HIS witnesses to these things,
and so also is the HOLY SPIRIT whom GOD has given to those who obey
HIM." [Acts 5. 29, 32]

This same SPIRIT OF GOD was found in Hananiah (Shadrach), Mishael
(Meshach), and Azariah (Abed-Nego) who chose to be thrown into the
burning fiery furnace rather than worship the king of Babylon's gods
or his gold image, each testifying to Nebuchadnezzar — "our GOD WHOM
we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and HE
will save us from your hand, O king. But even if HE does not, let it be
known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the
gold image which you have set up." [Daniel (Danyel) 3. 17 - 18 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

The HOPE OF ISRAEL did deliver Queen Esther, Mordecai, her cousin that
raised her as his own daughter, and all the Jewish people; as well as
the three faithful Jewish men that were indeed thrown into the
king's fiery furnace. [see Daniel/Danyel 3] Moreover, the king and
his counselors witnessed these men on whose bodies the fire had no
power; the hair of their head was not singed nor were their garments
affected, and the smell of fire was not on them.

Many have died for their faith rather than deny their faith. All the
apostles, except for John, died as martyrs; and there are countless
others through the ages, who "did not love their lives to the death"
[Revelation 12. 11], if it meant denying their BELOVED REDEEMER & LORD.

CHRIST-like- ones, those real believers are suffering such persecutions
today around the world. The time is coming, and that very soon, when
the last great GOD-rejecting king of the earth (the Beast, Antichrist,
Great Deceiver) will "cause as many as would not worship the image of
the Beast to be killed. He causes all, both small and great, rich and
poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their
foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark
or the name of the beast, or the number of his name." [Revelation 13. 15
- 17]

Once again, the VICTORIOUS LORD OF GLORY will champion over the enemy
for HIS called, chosen, and faithful saints will "overcame him by the
blood of the LAMB and by the word of their testimony, they did not love
their lives to the death." [Revelation 12. 11] Throughout the ages,
YESHUA ha'MASHIACH promised to be our peace; and HE forewarned, "In
the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have
overcome the world." [John 16. 33]

May GOD give each of us the grace and boldness to say as Paul did,
"CHRIST will be magnified in my body, whether by life or by death. For
to me, to live is CHRIST, and to die is gain" [Philippians 1. 20 - 21];
and with Esther, "If I perish, I shall perish!"

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
"Simcha Shel Mitzvah - Joy in doing good." May each day be entered with
joy in our hearts and confidence that ALMIGHTY GOD, in HIS mercy, will
continue to use us as HIS messengers of the GOOD NEWS to the perplexed
and depraved world around us! Remember, faith celebrates even before
the victory is seen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Post  Admin Mon 20 Feb 2012, 12:21 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Grace gives us a second chance to do what we should have done the first
time.

ROCK OF OFFENSE
"Give glory to the LORD ELOHIYM (your GOD) before HE brings darkness,
before your feet stumble upon the mountain in dark shadows — when
you hope for light, HE turns it into the shadow of death and makes it
gross darkness and deep gloom." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 13. 16 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

The figurative representations of MESSIAH YESHUA as the FOUNDATION ROCK
of the great spiritual HOUSE OF GOD [Matthew 16. 18; Ephesians 2. 20; 1
Peter 2. 6] and also as the water-yielding ROCK OF SUSTENANCE in the
wilderness [1 Corinthians 10. 4] are two of the great symbols of the
HOLY SCRIPTURES.

For those who reject YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, HE becomes "a STONE OF
STUMBLING men strike against; a ROCK OF OFFENSE to both the Houses of
Israel, a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem. And many
among them shall stumble thereon; and they shall fall and be broken,
shall be snared and taken." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 8. 14 - 15 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

Not only will the STONE cause such a one to stumble, but as JESUS
said— "whosoever shall fall on this STONE will be broken; but on
whomsoever it falls, it will grind him to powder." [Matthew 21. 44]
This figure is taken from the fall of the great image in
Nebuchadnezzar' s dream. "As you looked on, a STONE was hewn out, not by
hands, which struck the statue on his feet of iron and clay and crushed
them." [Daniel (Danyel) 2. 34 Tanakh, Kethuvim] All the kingdoms of
the world were represented in the image; but "THE STONE that struck the
image became a GREAT MOUNTAIN and filled the whole earth."
[Daniel/Danyel 3. 35]

"To you who believe, HE is precious; but to those who are disobedient,
the STONE which the builders disallowed and rejected, the same is made
the head of the corner; and a STONE OF STUMBLING, and a ROCK OF OFFENSE.
They stumble at the WORD, being disobedient, to which they also were
appointed." [1 Peter 2. 7 - 8]

The STONE OF STUMBLING, LORD MESSIAH YESHUA, is THE WORD and, it is
seriously dangerous to stumble over the HOLY SCRIPTURES. One should
give glory to the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN before darkness falls and you
stumble on the dark MOUNTAIN in the shadow of death. May we seek
understanding lest we stumble and are crushed.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Praised are YOU, O LORD GOD of our fathers WHO sustain the living in
the multitude of YOUR mercies and preserves all. Who is like YOU,
ALMIGHTY God , AUTHOR of life and death, the only SOURCE of salvation?
Truly, there is no other besides YOU.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Greed, selfish desires, ambition, lust and the like are all categories
of madness.

THE OHEL
"You shall make cloths of goats' hair for a tent over the Tabernacle;
make the cloths eleven in number." [Exodus (Shemot) 26. 7 Tanakh, Torah]

The Ohel is the second covering of the Wilderness Tabernacle. The women
who were wise-hearted spun goats' hair for its making. Bedouins today
live in tents made of black goats' hair which has been woven into a
canvas. They call it their "house of hair."

In HOLY SCRIPTURES, the goat signifies the sin bearer, especially the
Scape Goat. Black, representing man's old nature of sin. The black of
the Ohel, the tent or second curtain, tells of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH WHO
was made the Sin-Offering; then the Ram's Skins dyed red — typical
of YESHUA "MESSIAH THE SUBSTITUTE" WHO'S blood covers the blackness of
our sin. The white linen of the Mishkan tells of MESSIAH'S
righteousness (First, HE is righteous).

At four of the set times or "Feasts of YEHOWAH" — Unleavened Bread,
Feast of First-Fruits, Pentecost and the Day of Atonement there was a
goat slain on behalf of the people's sins. Since the offensive odor of
this animal signifies the stench of sin in the nostrils of the LORD GOD
ALMIGHTY, the priests were commanded to purify themselves from
defilement by washing with water after handling it.
[Numbers/B'Midvar 31. 20; Leviticus/Vayikra 16. 26 - 28] The LORD
MESSIAH is the ANTI-TYPE of the goats' hair curtain, for HE was "made
sin," a stench to the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN, upon that Roman Cross.
Isaiah prophesies of this: "When YOU (FATHER GOD) make HIS (MESSIAH
YESHUA) soul an offering for sin" — or rather, "HE (YESHUA) made
HIMSELF an offering for guilt…and that through HIM the LORD'S
purpose might prosper." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 53. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The
LORD JESUS came in the likeness of sinful flesh, yet without sin, and
died upon the Altar (as did the goat) on behalf of the people. JESUS OF
NAZARETH is the perfect SIN-OFFERING to ALMIGHTY GOD for us that "we
might become the righteousness of GOD in HIM." [1 Corinthians 5. 21]

YESHUA ha'MASHIACH came as a PERFECT MAN to be THE SIN OFFERING because
of the marvelous grace of our LOVING GOD to man in his weakness. We
could never show enough gratitude and appreciation for HIS tender mercy
to us! Sincerely, we do —Thank YOU, LORD! HalleluYAH!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, we share the blessed hope that, in
YESHUA, every day will be as sweet as Shabbat — a rest of love
freely given in truth and sincerity — a rest in peace and
tranquility, quiet and safety — a perfect rest in which you find
favor of the LORD JESUS! Have a good week, may gladness reign and joy
increase.
May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all
Israel, Amen.
Seek the LORD while HE may be found, call upon HIM while HE is near.
Diligently obey the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, incline your ear to the MASTER
and you will live. Go with GOD; and have a week overflowing with
blessings.

Post  Admin Sat 18 Feb 2012, 7:08 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Freedom of the soul comes through obedience to GOD'S LIFE-GIVING
COMMANDMENTS.

STRENGTHENING THE LAW
"You shall not make for yourself a carved image — any likeness of
anything that is in heaven above, or on the earth below, or in the
waters under the earth. You shall not bow down to them nor serve them.
For I, the LORD your GOD, am an impassioned, jealous GOD." [Exodus
(Shemot) 20. 4 – 5a Tanakh, Torah]

CHRISTIANITY is condemned and criticized by most secular groups claiming
that it is a religion of negativism filled with prohibitions and
controlling rules. In response, many CHRISTians reply to these negative
comments by stressing the love and freedom they experience from the Law.

However, the NEW COVENANT reiterates most of the OLD COVENANT
prohibitions, if not more as MESSIAH YESHUA toughened the Law making
everyone guilty and in need of the SAVIOR. For instance: the OLD
COVENANT teaches not to commit adultery. MESSIAH toughened the law
more-so with HIS teaching, "You have heard that it was said to those of
old — You shall not commit adultery. But I say to you that whoever
looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her
in his heart. [Matthew 5. 27 – 28]

Including the initial text, seven of Ten Commandments begin with the
words, You Shall Not… "You shall not take the NAME of the LORD your
GOD in vain...You shall not murder...You shall not commit adultery...You
shall not steal...You shall not bear false witness against your
neighbor...You shall not covet." [Exodus/Shemot 20. 7, 13 – 17
Tanakh, Torah] And these Ten Commandments are reaffirmed in some form
and fortified in the NEW COVENANT.

It is most inappropriate for any true follower of CHRIST to ignore these
commandments. GODly conduct is as important now as it ever was. Not only
are these prohibitions all repeated in the NEW COVENANT, but there are
numerous other laws, regulations, and sets of laws for us to follow
exclusively. They all are instructions to those who are saved by
GOD'S wondrous grace, apart from works of the law. "Man is not
justified by the works of the law but by faith in JESUS CHRIST, even we
have believed in CHRIST JESUS, that we might be justified by faith in
CHRIST and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no
flesh shall be justified." [Galatians 2. 16] No one is justified by the
law in the sight of GOD which is evident, for "the just shall live by
faith." [Galatians 3. 11]

The law that was done away with, nailed to the Cross of Calvary, was the
laws regarding the various sacrifices, for the LORD YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH paid them once and for all when HE offered up HIMSELF
paying the full penalty for our transgressions.

SCRIPTURE instructs us, "Work out your own salvation with fear and
trembling." [Philippians 2. 12] In other words, learn to walk and stand
firm in the LORD GOD instead of leaning on others personal influences.
Your spiritual duties must be your own hearts actions. We cannot work
for our salvation, but we must work out our salvation, putting off the
works of the flesh and putting on the works of a regenerated life.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! Those who keep the Sabbath and call it a delight shall
rejoice in GOD'S Kingdom. Through the common days flow the refreshing
waters of GOD'S loving-kindness, yet we forget the SOURCE. May this hour
awaken within us a sense of our dependence upon YOU. Create in us a
clean heart and renew a right spirit within us that we may face our
daily duty with a firm courage and a tranquil mind. May we learn to know
that in loving and serving our fellowmen, we are loving and serving YOU.
May the spirit of the Sabbath fill our life with its blessed peace
through YOUR PRECIOUS SON, YESHUA THE ANOINTED ONE. Amen
O come! O come EMMANU'EL!

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Apples don't fall from a pear tree.

KISS THE SON
"And we declare to you glad tidings — that promise which was made to
the fathers. GOD has fulfilled this for us their children, in that HE
has raised up MESSIAH YESHUA. As it is also written in the Second Psalm
— YOU are MY SON, today I have begotten YOU." [Acts 13. 32 - 33]

The HOLY SPIRIT OF THE LORD, through the psalmist David promised that
one day the SON OF GOD would rise from the dead — the "first born
from the dead." [Colossians 1. 18] Therefore, the GOOD NEWS OF THE
GOSPEL definitely was preached in the OLD COVENANT. The LORD YESHUA
even quoted Psalm 110:1 to prove HIS OWN deity [Matthew 22. 43, 45] and
Psalm 82:6 [John 10. 34 - 36] to uphold and support HIS claims.

This particular passage in the Book of Acts teaches another truth that
is often overlooked. By identifying the Second Psalm as such, the
writer (through the FAITHFUL COMFORTER) tells us that the chapter
divisions of the Book of Psalms were there by DIVINE INSTRUCTION from
the beginning. Since each of the Psalms is a poem, it shows obvious
verse divisions. It is not surprising then, that we can find many
remarkable examples of plans and design from our marvelous CREATOR GOD
in the very structure of the HIS PRECIOUS WRITTEN WORD.

Psalm 2, speaking of the ANOINTED ONE, is the first of the MESSIANIC
Psalms, but actually, the LORD JESUS and HIS GOSPEL OF SALVATION are
clearly present in each of the 150 Psalms. "Kiss the SON, give
reverential respect, lest HE be angered, and your way be doomed in the
mere flash of HIS anger. Blessed are all who take refuge in HIM."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 2. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Faithfulness, mercy and
truth meet; righteousness and peace kiss. Truth shall spring up from the
earth, justice looks down from heaven." [Psalms (Tehillym) 85. 10 - 11
Tanakh, Kethuvim] "He who gives a right answer is as though he kissed
the lips." [Proverbs (Mishle) 24. 26 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The Hebrew word "nashaq" could be translated as "kiss, touch, equip with
weapons or rule." When we allow YESHUA ha'MASHIACH to be THE RULER of
our lives, we unite with HIM in every aspect of our being. HE is the
GREAT & MIGHTY GOD WHO goes before us and enjoins our lives.
"Righteousness goes before HIM and HIS footsteps become our pathway."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 85. 13 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"In HIS forbearance, GOD had passed over the sins that were previously
committed, to demonstrate at the present time HIS righteousness, that HE
might be just and the JUSTIFIER of the one who has faith in MESSIAH
YESHUA." [Romans 3. 25 - 26] When the LORD JESUS, the ALPHA & OMEGA,
is the center of our lives, we are well equipped with all we need
supplied, for HE is our REFUGE & STRENGTH and has also become our
DELIVERANCE; a MIGHTY KING is HE and HE is ever faithful.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Our prayer for each of you is for the grace of our LORD JESUS CHRIST to
be with your spirit.
My FATHER of mercies, MY PRAISE, do good in YOUR favor unto Zion; build
the walls of Jerusalem. For in YOU alone do we trust, O KING, high and
exalted GOD, LORD of worlds. Rise up, O LORD, and YOUR enemies shall be
scattered, and they that hate YOU shall flee before YOU. For out of Zion
shall go forth the Law, and the WORD OF THE LORD from Jerusalem.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Spend your time counting your blessings, not airing your complaints.

LIKE THE RAIN
"For as the rain or snow drops from heaven and returns not there, but
soaks the earth and makes it bring forth vegetation, yielding seed for
the sower and bread for the eater, so is the WORD that issues from MY
mouth: It does not come back to ME unfulfilled, but performs what I
purpose, achieves what I sent it to do." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 55. 10 - 11
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

What a beautiful, confident expectation in the natural and in the
spiritual realm. Rain and snow falls from the heavens and eventually
return there; then later falls again as rain and snow on the thirsty
land. But they do not return until they first have accomplished their
work of watering the earth, providing and renewing the world's water and
food supplies to maintain its life. "HE forms the droplets of water,
which cluster into rain, from HIS mist. The skies rain; they pour down
their moisture and abundant showers fall on all mankind." [Job (Iyob)
36. 27 - 28 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

To the same extent, GOD'S HOLY WORD goes forth from heaven through HIS
revealed SCRIPTURES and their distribution and proclamation by HIS
disciples. It does not return empty or void, for it accomplishes
CREATOR GOD'S divine work on earth; for "YOUR WORD stands firm in
heaven." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 89 Tanakh, Kethuvim] YESHUA`S OWN
words were, "Heaven and earth will pass away, but MY WORDS will by no
means pass away." [Matthew 24. 35]

The fruitful scattering of the SEED OF LIFE, GOD'S WRITTEN WORD is
confirmed in many other TEXTS, "Send your BREAD forth upon the waters;
for after many days you will find it...Sow your SEED in the morning, and
don't hold back your hand in the evening, since you don't know which is
going to succeed, the one or the other, or if both are equally good."
[Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 11. 1, 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] It is the LORD GOD
WHO will bless you in all the work of your hand which you do.

One person plants, another waters, "but neither he who plants is
anything, nor he who waters, but GOD WHO gives the increase." [1
Corinthians 3. 6 - 7] "I will make them and the places all around MY
hill a blessing; and I will send down the rain in its season; rains that
bring showers of blessing." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 34. 26 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] "YOU released a bountiful rain, O GOD; when YOUR OWN land
languished, YOU sustained it." [Psalms (Tehillym) 68. 9 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] As we sow and water the SEED, the HOLY WORD OF GOD
ALMIGHTY, we have HIS DIVINE promise that HE will accomplish that which
HE pleases; and, we are blessed.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
May our Heavenly Father hear our prayers, that our long-awaited Messiah
YesHUA, the Son of David, King of kings comes quickly. And, may His Holy
Temple be rebuilt speedily, even in our day, Amen! May you be blessed
with love, hope, health, wisdom and GOD'S incredibly amazing grace
as you seek HIM.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Long obedience in the same direction will bring one to a mature
CHRIST-like life; that is the part you play.

THOSE WHO LOVE ME
"You shall not bow down to them (idols, other gods) nor serve them. For
I, the LORD your GOD, am a JEALOUS GOD, visiting the iniquity of the
parents upon the children, upon the third and upon the fourth
generations of those who reject ME, but showing mercy to the thousandth
generation of those who love ME and keep MY commandments. " [Deuteronomy
(Davarim) 5. 9 – 10 Tanakh, Torah]

This text is the Second of the Ten Commandments that was first given by
ELOHIYM to Moses on Mount Sinai. [see Exodus/Shemot 20. 5 – 6] It
appears that the generations that follow those who practice idolatry
receive the penalty for other's transgressions. However, this is to
prove that a person's decisions to follow a false religion is almost
always detrimental (damaging, troublesome) to their children, as they
will bring up their children to follow the same fictitious, deceitful
teaching. This SCRIPTURE should act as a warning for a deterrent from
turning from the ONLY TRUE & LIVING GOD.

However, the RIGHTEOUS ONE affirms that "The soul who sins shall die.
The child shall not bear the guilt of the parent, nor the parent bear
the guilt of the child. The righteousness of the righteous shall counted
to him alone, and the wickedness of the wicked counted to him alone."
[Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 18. 20 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Say to the righteous
that it shall be well with them, for they shall eat the fruit of their
works. Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him; as his hands have
dealt, so shall it done to him." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 3. 10 – 11
Tanakh, Nevi'im] Everyone dies for his own sin.

In the NEW COVENANT, MESSIAH YESHUA clearly bids each of us: "Come!" And
let him who hears say, "Come!" And let him who thirsts come. Whoever
desires, let him take the water of life freely." [Revelation 22. 17]
Also, Paul taught that The Lord God "will render to each one according
to his deeds" [Romans 2. 7] Thus we are instructed to "work out your
own salvation with fear and trembling; for it is GOD WHO works in you
both to will and to do for HIS good pleasure." [Philippians 2. 12 –
13] GOD ALMIGHTY has promised those who love and serve HIM will know
how to properly conduct themselves setting their affection on HIM, they
will be to HIM a special treasure.

Who-so-ever desires GOD'S gracious plan of salvation, which is
freely given may do so. The LORD GOD is still patiently waiting and
calling, "As I live — declares the LORD GOD — I have no pleasure
in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his [evil] way
and live. Turn, turn back from your evil ways, that you may not die!"
[Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 33. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

We are each given a great responsibility. And to those who are parents,
they must diligently train and nurture those whom the LOVING GOD has
given them. "The steadfast mercy of the LORD is from everlasting to
everlasting toward those who fear HIM, and HIS righteousness is for the
children's children to such as keep HIS covenant and remember HIS
commandments to do them." [Psalm (Tehillym) 103. 17 – 18 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

"Now therefore, revere the LORD, serve HIM in sincerity and in truth;
put away the gods which your fathers served...Serve the LORD! Or if you
loath to serve the LORD, choose for yourselves this day whom you will
serve...But I and my household, we will serve the LORD." [Joshua
(Yehoshua) 24. 14 - 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The gifts and promises of
blessings from the ALL-TOGETHER LOVELY MASTER are ours for the taking.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
Draw me to YOU with the breath of love, swiftly shall I come to stand
within YOUR radiance that I may attain the sweetness of all intimacies
in YOUR PRESENCE. My soul aches to receive your love. . . only by the
tenderness of YOUR PURE LIGHT, MOST HOLY LORD, can I be healed. . .
engage my soul in YOUR service that I may taste the ecstasy of YOUR
perfect righteousness. "Be'Ezrat ha'shem — with the help of GOD I
will be found faithful and worthy that my soul may be exalted and
greatly rejoice."

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.
