JIHAD WATCH
Islamic State approaches Israel

MAY 21, 2015 10:23 PM BY ROBERT SPENCER 22 COMMENTS
golan-heightsPrediction: if the Islamic State gets into a position to threaten Israel in any serious way, we will start seeing the mainstream media grow markedly sympathetic to it, with a spate of articles hailing the new “maturity” and “moderation” of the Islamic State.

“ISIS Approaches Israel: Islamic State Loyalists Thwarted By Syrian Rebels Along Golan Heights Border,” by Morgan Winsor, International Business Times, May 20, 2015:
Islamic State loyalists in Syria have made attempts in recent weeks to expand the extremist group’s territory near the border with Israel, but have been twice thwarted by Syrian rebels along the Golan Heights. Israel has not yet responded to the incidents, even as mortar shells from the battles with

ISIS fighters landed across the border into Israeli territory, Israeli news site Ynetnews said.
In the past, Israel has increased its forces in the Golan Heights near the Syrian border when shells fired by the Syrian army spilled over into Israeli territory, the Jerusalem Post said. However, Israel has remained quiet during the past two weeks as rebel fighters from Syria repelled militants loyal to the Islamic State group, also known as ISIS or ISIL.

The ISIS-loyalists have so far failed to gain foothold on the Golan Heights border, which would allow the Islamic State to set up a base for operations against Israel, Ynetnews said. Their attacks have been thwarted by the Free Syrian Army, which reportedly receives Israeli humanitarian aid, in cooperation with the Nusra Front, a Sunni Muslim branch of al Qaeda operating in Syria and Lebanon….

U.S. to Quiz Wife of Slain ISIS Leader About Western Hostages
The State Department confirmed Monday that the two women who were taken following the raid that killed senior ISIS leader Abu Sayyaf in eastern Syria over the weekend are being held and debriefed for intelligence.

One, Abu Sayyaf's wife Umm Sayyaf, may have been complicit in the enslavement of the other, a Yazidi woman.
"We suspect that [Umm Sayyaf] is a member of [ISIS] as well and played an important role in their terrorist activities," said State Dept. spokesman Jeff Rathke.
Officials hope to determine whether Umm Sayyaf has information about Westerners held hostage by ISIS. The United States suspects Abu Sayyaf had a role in handling the the foreign hostages.
"[Abu Sayyaf] had a senior role in the oil and gas operations that [ISIS] carries out," Rathke said. "This is a major source of revenue for this terrorist organization. And he was also involved in [ISIS] military operations. So that is the focal point."
The enslaved Yazidi woman will be returned to her family after she is debriefed, officials said.
There was no word about possible charges against Umm Sayyaf.
Rathke also noted the United Stated did not consult the Syrian government before the raid.

ISIS in Ramadi: Shiite Militiamen Mass to Help Retake City from Sunni Militants
BY CASSANDRA VINOGRAD
VIDEOS ON PAGE
Thousands of Iran-backed militiamen were massing on Monday to help retake the city of Ramadi after ISIS captured the Anbar provincial capital in a stunning setback for Iraq's government.

At least 500 people have been killed in Ramadi while around 8,000 have fled, a spokesman for the governor of Anbar told NBC News.
"There have been executions in the streets of Ramadi," Muhanad Haimour said, describing how ISIS fighters used cars, bulldozers rigged with explosives and suicide bombers to overrun the city following a weeks-long fight for control.
"The situation in the city is absolutely terrible," Haimour added. "The city is in very bad shape."
The fall of Ramadi comes despite the support of U.S.-led airstrikes against ISIS and just weeks after Iraq's army and Shiite militias recaptured Tikrit from the Sunni militants. Haimour said he believed fighters retreating from Tikrit had "set their sights on Ramadi" — but expressed certainty the provincial capital wouldn't stay in ISIS' hands for long.
Iraqi forces reportedly fled their posts as ISIS advanced, in scenes reminiscent of when the militants overran key cities last summer in a rapid-fire assault to consolidate territory.
When asked if the fall of Ramadi signaled a failure on the part of Iraq's central government, Haimour stressed that Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi had "been doing everything he can" and "dealing with a lot."
"It is obviously a failure no matter how you look at it," Haimour conceded. "But we believe the security forces will be able to regroup."

"We are confident that we will regain control of the city in the days to come," Haimour added, echoing U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who said from Seoul he was "absolutely confident" Ramadi's takeover would be "reversed" in the coming days as forces are redeployed to the city.

The highest ranking military officer in the United States called the fall of Ramadi "regrettable but not uncommon in warfare."
"Much effort will now be required to reclaim the city," said Army Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the U.S. military's Joint Chiefs of Staff. "We will continue to support Iraq's security forces with U.S. air strikes, training, and equipment. Reducing sectarian tensions and preparing for reconstruction will continue to challenge the government of Iraq."
A State Department spokesman said that there have been 35 airstrikes in Ramadi since the beginning of May, nine in the last 24 hours.
"We've always known that the fight would be long and difficult, especially in Anbar province. And so there's no denying that this is a setback," State Department spokesman Jeff Rathke said. "But there's also no denying that the United States will help the Iraqis take back Ramadi."
Al-Abadi over the weekend ordered Shiite militias to prepare to go into Anbar Province, despite widespread concerns their presence could trigger sectarian violence.
One senior Iraqi security official told NBC News that around 3,000 of the Iran-backed fighters — from armed Shiite groups including the Al-Khurasani Platoons, The Chosen Ones Movement and Badr Forces — were arriving in Ramadi on Monday with more due to deploy in the coming 48 hours.
The senior official also said that Iran's Defense Minister Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehqan had arrived in Baghdad for talks to discuss the security situation — underscoring Tehran's vested interest and role as regional Shiite powerhouse in beating back the Sunni ISIS fighters.
Haimour would not say how many of the militiamen — known as the Popular Mobilization Forces — were being called up, but said their arrival will change the game.
While he acknowledged that "Ramadi is a very important city," Haimour said "no one" expects ISIS to survive in Iraq for long.
"We believe we are seeing the final chapter," he said. "Not a new beginning or a victory."
Iraq's Ambassador to the U.S. said his government was using "all available resources" in the fight against ISIS and working with coalition partners to contain the situation in Anbar province "before the ground assault begins to free our country."
"The war with ISIS is a marathon, not a sprint," Lukman Faily said on Twitter. "The battle for Ramadi will be decisive in Iraq's favor."
Iraq's capital Baghdad is not under threat, according to the State Department, despite the fall of Ramadi, just 70 miles away, over the weekend.
"Going all the way back into last summer when there were, when there were real fears about whether Baghdad itself might even come under threat," Rathke said. "We don't have those fears now."

ISIS in Rome
ByPamela Geller
on May 18, 2015
For months, the Islamic State has vowed to attack Italy and conquer Rome, now that they have a stronghold in Libya. I have warned of this for months.

Back in February ISIS warned Italians: “You have seen us in Syria, now we’re right here, just south of Rome…”
In July 2014, the caliph (leader)  of the Islamic State vowed that Rome will be conquered next.  Muslims were  called to flock to the Islamic State to gather for a battle against non-believers throughout the world.
In September 2014, the Islamic State declared: “We will conquer your Rome, break your crosses, and enslave your women, by the permission of Allah.”
Will the media and Western elites blame the Italians for “provoking” and “inciting” these devout Muslims?
Perhaps Pope Francis is considering converting for these “angels of peace.”
The Fall of Rome – A Quranic Prophecy
“Is ISIS Already in Rome?” by Thomas D. Williams, Ph.D., Breitbart, 18 May 2015
Members of the Islamic State have been circulating disturbing photos of well-known Roman sites such as the Colosseum with handwritten cards held up in front claiming that ISIS is already present in Italy’s capital.

One such card, written in Arabic as well as English, proclaims bluntly: “Islamic State in Rome,” and is held up in front of Italian police vehicles. Another bears a handwritten caption in pigeon Italian stating that “we are on your streets.”
Still other photos show similar notes with images from other Italian cities, such as the Milan cathedral and an Expo Pavilion.
Though clearly meant to inspire fear, the photos have garnered mixed reactions from Italians, who seem well aware that anyone can hold up a note in front of a famous landmark without necessarily posing a real threat.
This is not the first time that ISIS has pointed to Rome, the heart of Christianity, as its target. Last year militants chose to publish an image of the black flag of ISIS flying atop the obelisk in Saint Peter’s square on the cover of their propaganda magazine Dabiq.
This latest wave of propaganda, however, follows closely on the heels of an alarm sounded by the Libyan government last week that Islamic State terrorists will be reaching Italy by mingling with the numerous African immigrants crossing the Strait of Sicily into the Italian peninsula.
A minister of the internationally recognized Libyan government in Tobruk warned last Tuesday that “in the coming weeks” jihadists linked to ISIS will infiltrate the boats of illegal immigrants heading to Italy.
“Italy will experience not only the arrival of poor migrants from Africa but also of barges carrying ISIS militants,” said the Libyan information minister, Omar al Gawari, who added that the infiltration aiming at “Malta and Italy,” will take place “via the ports dominated by Fajr Libya,” the coalition of pro-Islamic militias in power in Tripoli and in the west of Libya.
Similar statements have come from Abdul Basit Haroun, an advisor to the Libyan government, who told the BBC that smugglers were stowing Islamic State militants on boats carrying migrants.
Haroun claims to have based his statement on conversations with smugglers in parts of North Africa controlled by the militants.
Italian counter-intelligence officials have claimed that so far there has been no confirmation of such forecasts. Some observers, moreover, have suggested that the warnings seem intent on undermining Libya’s Tripoli government, a rival to that in Tobruk.
Italy’s Minister of the Interior, Angelino Alfano said that so far “we have found no trace of the presence of terrorists in boats. This does not mean that we have lowered our guard, and we remain on high alert.”
Some 60,000 people are estimated to have tried to cross the Mediterranean this year, of whom more than 1,800 are thought to have died.
This handout picture released by the Italian National Police shows an aerial view of the crowd in St Peter’s square and Via della Conciliazione on April 27, 2014 during the canonisation mass of late Popes John Paul II and John XXIII. Since converting to Islam, UK woman has murdered 400 people
The ideology that led this woman to become a hardened killer should be examined, understood thoroughly, and opposed. If it were anything other than what it is, that would be unquestionable. If she were a member of any other group, its teachings and tenets would be discussed in the media and scrutinized closely. But because she is a Muslim, no one stops to ponder even for a moment what made her into a killing machine. To ask that question would be “Islamophobic.”

The Islamic State (ISIS) Raises Flag Over Ramadi After Child Murders
IS seizes government HQ in Iraq’s Ramadi.

Islamic State fighters seized the government compound in the city of Ramadi on Friday and edged closer to what would be their biggest victory in Iraq this year, officials said.

Obama’s JV Team takes Iraq:
Ramadi is in Iraq’s Anbar province, and its strategic importance is huge. Anbar’s governor, Ahmed al-Dulaimi, said in November 2014: “If we lose Anbar, that means we will lose Iraq.” (thanks to Robert Spencer)
“ISIS on offensive in Iraq’s Ramadi, taking over mosque and government buildings,” by Hamdi Alkhshali, Yousuf Basil and Greg Botelho, CNN, May 15, 2015:
(CNN)The months-long fight for the key central Iraqi city of Ramadi now appears to be going ISIS’s way, with the Islamist extremist group capturing police headquarters, the Ramadi Great Mosque and even raising its trademark black flag over the provincial government building, sources said.
The ISIS push began Thursday, with armored bulldozers and at least 10 suicide bombings used to burst through gates and blast through walls in Ramadi, according to a security source who has since left the city. Dozens of militants followed them into the city center.
Anbar Gov. Suhaib Al-Rawi said the offensive, including suicide-attacks with explosive-rigged cars near security posts, continued into Friday.
The media will scrub, minimize and whitewash this devastating loss.
“IS Raises Flag Over Ramadi After Child Murders,” SKY News, May 16, 2015 IS raises the black flag over the government HQ in the strategically important city of Ramadi in its most significant advance yet.
Islamic State fighters are closing in on the ancient city of Palmyra
Marine Brigadier General Thomas D. Weidley, chief of staff for Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve, said: “We believe across Iraq and Syria that Daesh (IS) is losing and remains on the defensive.”
The battle for Ramadi has been raging since last year, but IS renewed their push for the city in April, and launched a fierce offensive on Friday that included six suicide car bombs to reach the city centre, Reuters reported.
Iraqi officials have also said IS has gained substantial control over the Beiji oil refinery.
Irina Bokova, the head of UNESCO, has called on Syrian troops and extremists to spare Palmyra, saying it “represents an irreplaceable treasure for the Syrian people, and the world”.
The city, which is nicknamed “the pearl of the desert”, is home to millennia-old tombs, colonnades and Roman temples.
Its art and architecture blends Greco-Roman techniques with local traditions and Persian influence.
IS would see such treasures as targets.
The group has already been filmed destroying artefacts in the Iraqi cities of Nimrud and Hatra.
Talal Barazi, the governor of central Homs province, where Palmyra is located, said the situation was “under control”, with army reinforcements sent to the city and bombing raids being conducted on IS positions.
Since the IS offensive began in Iraq’s Anbar province early on Wednesday, more than 138 combatants – 73 soldiers and 65 jihadists – have been killed.
Before the latest killings, there were reports of at least 26 civilians being killed by IS, including 10 by beheading, for collaborating with the Syrian regime, the Observatory said.

ISIS Captures More Territory In Central Syria
But don’t draw those cray cray cartoons! Don’t provoke them! Don’t incite them! Don’t …. breathe!

Obama continues to underestimate ISIS, and so is woefully unprepared to face what the growing threat. He CREATED the threat by leaving Iraq precipitously and giving an opportunity to this group.
Instead, his obsession (and that of his lapdogs in the enemedia) is to insist that the Islamic State has nothing to do with Islam, despite its name and its every utterance, video, declaration and action citing Islamic texts and teachings.
This denial and willful ignorance is no recipe for success or a sign that he is prepared to deal with the threat.
His airstrikes were purely cosmetic and did nothing to stop ISIS.
He has armed the Syrian rebels — many of these arms fell into the hands of ISIS, and the Syrian rebels he armed have the same jihad goal that ISIS does.
This is the catastrophic consequence of a foreign policy that is ridiculous and incoherent.
BEIRUT (AP) — Syrian activists say the Islamic State group has seized more territory in the central province of Homs amid intense clashes with government forces.

The Britain-based Syrian Observatory says Wednesday’s fighting killed at least 28 government troops and about 20 militants. It says hundreds were wounded.
The Islamic State has a presence in the eastern countryside of Homs and has been pushing west. Twitter accounts affiliated with IS say its fighters reported advances northwest of the city of Palmyra.
An activist based in Homs, Bebars al-Talawy, says the Islamic State seized a large government ammunition warehouse outside Palmyra and was bombing a nearby government-controlled airport.
Al-Talawy says the extremists took advantage of government redeployment on Tuesday to Idlib province where troops are fighting to regain territory seized by rebels.

TURKEY
The three young girls fled to Syria in February to become jihadi brides, and now they have escaped the group. British authorities have not confirmed whether the girls will be allowed to return to the UK.
three British teenage girls who were believed to have joined the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) are on the run after escaping from the group, according to a report in British newspaper the Daily Mail.

A blogger in Mosul city, who goes by the name of "Mosul Eye," claimed in a post on his Facebook page that the three girls escaped on May 2, adding "Three girls, (Foreigners – British) married to ISIL (ISIS) militants, reported missing, and ISIL announced to all its checkpoints to search for them. It is believed that those girls have escaped." In addition to the very first post about the flight of the three, the anonymous blogger gave some other information about the fugitives' profile, "They are Brits, not immigrants, and they are very young teens (around 16 years old). That's all I have about them for now."
The on-the-run-girls, who are believed to have fled in order to marry ISIS militants, were claimed for a few days to be the same teenagers, named Shamima Begum, 15, Amira Abase, 15, and Kadiza Sultana, 16, who had left Bethnal Green Academy in East London in early February and flew to Turkey before crossing the border into Syria. The matter of the three British girls turned into a diplomatic incident when Turkish authorities criticized Britain's failure to alert them in time.
However, the blogger wrote in another statement, posted 10 days after the original post, that he "cannot confirm, as of yet, if those girls were the same trio mentioned in the British media, as their identities are still unknown," and added, "The latest info I got on them is they are still on the run, but still in Mosul, and ISIL is thoroughly searching for them and has not captured them yet."
Regarding the speculation about the fugitive British girls, U.K. Home Secretary Theresa May was asked whether the trio would be allowed to return to the UK or not. The home secretary told ITV1's Good Morning Britain that she is "not able to talk about individual cases" as such cases of return from Syria or Iraq should be evaluated on "a case-by-case basis." May also pointed out that several young Britons who joined ISIS came back after a while disillusioned with the group after "suddenly realizing what a mistake they made."
The question of who those three girls really are remains unanswered, with Mosul Eye the only source.

ISIS Uses Stolen Passports to Bring Jihad Recruits to Syria and Iraq - Breitbart
by JOHN HAYWARD13 May 20150

The Assyrian International News Agency relayed a report from Dubai television news concerning a raid on an ISIS safe house in Syria, in which rebel forces opposed to the Islamic State discovered a large stash of stolen Western passports. These travel documents have allegedly been used by ISIS to bring Western jihadi recruits to Iraq and Syria.

“Jenan Moussa, a correspondent with Al Aan TV noted that she was able to get copies of 34 passports issued by various countries,” reports AINA. “Six of the passports were Albanian, four were French, two each were of Holland, Germany, Sweden, Poland and Denmark; and one each of the US, the UK, Israel, Kosovo, Latvia, Israel, Finland and the Czech Republic.”

The Al Aan report says the 34 passports they reviewed were only a fraction of the total recovered in the safe house raid. Rebel forces claim ISIS “has access to thousands of stolen passports.”
Some of the passports examined by Al Aan were apparently legitimate, owned by people known to have enlisted with the Islamic State, while most were clearly stolen from innocent victims. A few outright forgeries were also mixed in with the stash.

Moussa proceeded to contact the rightful owners of several stolen passports and confirmed they had all been lost in France, where the non-French passport holders were visiting at the time of theft. The mother of an Illinois woman whose passport was retrieved from the stash said she was “shocked to hear the passport of her daughter ended up in Syria with ISIS.” Her recorded comments, delivered in classic Midwestern style, offer a bit of humorous contrast with the rest of the Dubai video embedded below.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mkWW2DX6Mg
It is not clear from the report if all of the passports in the ISIS stash were pinched in France, although Moussa’s report speculated that the terrorists might have purchased the documents from criminal gangs—perhaps a particular French gang?—or even hired criminals to steal passports from people with a passing resemblance to specific Islamic State recruits.

“I think having these passports is a huge advantage to the Islamic State,” said an expert interviewed by Al Aan. “It will allow people to move freely, so if one of them gets stopped, either in airports or on the side of the road… bearing in mind, of course, you can drive all the way from Turkey to Paris, for example… so if they get stopped on the side of the road by a police officer, that document won’t come up necessarily as something that is forged, or something that has been stolen, and that will allow [ISIS agents] to operate with a degree of anonymity and cover.”

Moussa explains “this tactic is not new,” citing previous examples of ISIS members traveling across Europe with stolen passports. Also, one of the Charlie Hebdo shooters was able to travel to Yemen for training with al-Qaeda while illegally using the passport of his brother.

ISIL's sex slaves recount horrific stories of rape, abuse
DOHUK - İpek Yezdani - ipek.yezdani@hurriyet.com.tr
PHOTOS: Selçuk Şamiloğlu/Hürriyet
A Chechen ISIL militant 'cleaned' 19-year-old Dalia with petrol before raping her... Daily Hürriyet interviews ISIL's Yazidi sex slaves in three refugee camps in northern Iraq, publishing their harrowing accounts.
They were kidnapped, sold as sex slaves and raped for months at the hands of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) militants.

Hundreds of them managed to reach safety in the territory of Iraq’s Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), either by escaping from ISIL by themselves or by the help of their relatives who paid a ransom.
We met the Yazidi women and girls in the Baadre, Shariya and Kepertu refugee camps in the northern Iraqi city of Dohuk, listening to their immensely disturbing accounts of abuse in captivity.
Dalia: Sold seven times
Dalia is a high school student from the Herdan village on Sinjar Mountain in northern Iraq. She was only 19 years old when she finally escaped from ISIL on April 4.
She hardly speaks now, often with tearful eyes and with long periods of silence between difficult phrases that describe not only brutality, but also everything that is against humanity.
Dalia was abused, raped and tortured during nine months in captivity. She was sold and bought seven times by different militants.
School turns into slave market
“On Aug. 3, 2014, we woke up to see ISIL militants raiding our village. Everyone was trying to escape, but they caught us,” she said.
Here is the rest of her account:
“They gathered us in the village square. ‘You will either convert to Islam or you will die,’ they said. We agreed to convert out of fear. But anyway, they took all the village’s men away and we never heard of them again.
“They sorted the young women from the old. They brought the young women and children to Tel Afar [a northern Iraqi city]. And then they took away the children who were older than 5, including my brother. They imprisoned us at a school in Tel Afar. It was like a slave market. ISIL’s amirs, including Turks, Germans and Chechens, came each day and bought one of us. There were 12- to 13-year-old girls.
Concubines as gift
“A Turkmen ISIL militant from Tel Afar brought me to his home, where his wife and three children were also living. I stayed with him for five months. One day, an ISIL amir named Abu Mustafa forcibly took me from there and presented me as a gift to another amir named Aymen, who was Chechen.
“Before raping me, Aymen pulled my hair and forced my head into a bucket full of petrol. ‘You are so dirty, this is how we clean you,’ he said. Then he imprisoned me in his house and raped me for three days.
“Then I was exchanged with another Yazidi girl, who was made a concubine by Abu Salih. He raped me one night and then sent me back to Aymen. After 10 days, Abu Mustafa returned and bought me back, telling Aymen that I had been given as a gift as a concubine, not to be exchanged.
“I stayed at Abu Mustafa’s house for a month. Then he sold me to a man from Mosul named Izam. He was taking me at nights, raping me before bringing me back to my mother the following morning. I was going with him each night, crying.”
ISIL’s rules of enslaving
“After a month, he also sold me. I stayed with another man from Mosul until he got bored of me. Then an ISIL doctor in Tel Afar bought me, who treated me like Izam.
“One day I resisted him at the risk of being murdered. The ISIL leader in the village heard about it and told the doctor that Yazidi girls can ‘only be owned by one person, and cannot be sold every day.’
“Then he sold me to an Arab from Kirkuk, who later revealed to me that he bought me not to rape me, but to free me in Kurdistan. With him, I went to Karbala, then to Baghdad and finally to Zakho, where he handed me over to the Kurdish police.
“My father was working in Zakho. He came to pick me up from the police station. When I saw him again, I thought I was flying. He started to cry. I was so happy that I almost forgot about everything I experienced.”

Leyla: From Iraq to Syria

Leyla, 20, was captured by ISIL when militants raided the Kocho village on Sinjar Mountain on Aug. 15, 2014. Since then, her mother, two sisters and brother have been ISIL’s captives. Her father, on the other hand, is still missing.
“They carried away all the village’s men with trucks,” Leyla said in her account.
Although her account resembles Dalia’s story on the main aspects of ISIL’s tactics, like separating and possibly killing all Yazidi men while taking women and children to schools converted into slave markets, its details show how torment and torture at the hands of ISIL varied for each girl and woman.
“They kept us in an empty building in Mosul for two days. Then they brought us to Raqqa,” Dalia said, referring to ISIL’s self-declared capital in northern Syria.
Here is the rest of her account:
“ISIL militants were coming every day to pick three or four girls they liked. One day they bought my sisters and brought them to Mosul. Then, an ISIL militant bought me and another girl before taking us to the Iraqi town of Husaybah, which is a six-hour drive away.
‘Caliph’s order’
“He locked us in a house in Husaybah, then sold us to another ISIL militant. He took me back to Syria, to Aleppo. For four days, he raped me while I was handcuffed. Then he sold me to an Egyptian militant.
“The Egyptian brought me to Raqqa, imprisoned me and raped me for eight months. I begged him so many times, but he ignored me. ‘It is the caliph’s [ISIL leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s] order,’ he said in reply.

“I thought of committing suicide many times, but I decided not to do it because then my family would not be able to find my corpse. One day, when he was away, I used the home phone to call my uncle, who had a friend in Raqqa. He promised me to help. I escaped and met him at an Internet cafe. Then he took me to Turkey with his motorcycle. We crossed the border illegally and I met my uncle in a restaurant in [the southeastern Turkish city of] Şanlıurfa. I burst into tears when I saw him.”

Selma: Giving birth in captivity

When we met Selma, 26, she had liberated from ISIL just 12 days previously. She has a 4-year-old son and a 6-month-old daughter, who was born when the mother was still a captive in the house of an ISIL militant.

Here is her account:
“After they raided our village in Sinjar, they took me to the city of Tal Afar with the other Yazidi women. My son was with me. They kept us in prison for one month, then they transported us to Raqqa in Syria. They put us together with some 500 women in the top floor of a building. Then ISIL militants came over and started to buy us one by one. One of them bought me with my son and took us to his home. My daughter was born there. Then he sold us to an ISIL militant for 2,600 dollars, who would later sell us to another man from Aleppo for 4,000 dollars. I found a mobile phone in his house and called my husband secretly. Then my husband paid him 20,000 dollars to take me back. My children and I fled to Turkey first, then we went to Zakho via Şanlıurfa.”
Bahar treated as 'property'
Bahar, 15, was kept as a slave together with her cousins Hadiya, 24, and Nawin, 19, in the house of a married ISIL militant from Saudi Arabia.
“He would beat all of us every day, and he would sexually abuse us at night. His wife said, ‘I would help you if I could,’ but she couldn’t do anything either. ‘We founded the caliphate in order to spread Islam, so you have to convert to Islam,’ he said. We agreed to convert because we didn’t want to die. But still nothing changed in his behaviour. He kept saying ‘Yazidis are infidels, you are our property.’
“We tried to escape a couple of times, but we couldn’t succeed.  One day he came over and said, ‘I am leaving to Kobane for jihad.’ And he left us at the house of another ISIL militant. He also kept another Yazidi girl at home.
“This girl’s uncle called someone that he knew in Raqqa. ‘I paid him, so he is going to help you to escape,’ her uncle said. We called the guy, and he told us to meet at the square in Raqqa at 1 p.m. He took us by taxi and brought us to the Turkish border. We crossed the border and went to Gaziantep with the help of a Kurdish person from Diyarbakır. Then we went to Zakho through the Halil İbrahim Border Gate in Cizre.”
Rudeyna's family taken hostage

One of the 216 Yazidi hostages that ISIL released a few weeks ago was 10-year-old Rudeyna, who was kidnapped and kept by ISIL for nine months.

“They tortured and beheaded people in front of this poor child, she is highly traumatized,” her aunt told us before we start talking to Rudeyna.
“It was as if she was insane when she first arrived, yelling and crying all the time. She still sees nightmares every night. She starts crying whenever she sees a bearded man,” the aunt added.
Shooting randomly
After Rudeyna agreed to talk to us, we went inside the tent in which they have been staying with her aunt in the Kepertu refugee camp:
“I was so scared when they [ISIL] attacked our village last August. We hid inside a room with my mother, but they caught us. They started shooting randomly and killed our neighbours before our eyes. They captured all of my family that day, they took all of us to different places. They also took my brothers and sisters. I haven’t seen my mother and father since that day...”
Most vicious people on Earth
ISIL militants separated Rudeyna from her parents and took her to Mosul with her grandmother.
“They put us in a school with many other Yazidi women. A couple of days later, they came and took all the young girls,” Rudeyna added. “They told us we would never be able to see our families again. They tortured the women who tried to resist. They also did bad things to me. They are the most vicious people on Earth.”

Inside The ISIS-U.S. Border Scar

While U.S. government agencies have strongly denied a Judicial Watch report claiming there are ISIS camps near the U.S. border with Mexico, lawmakers have expressed fears the global jihadist organization is linking up with deadly Mexican drug cartels.

Such a partnership would not only help to facilitate the smuggling of jihadists into the U.S. but could ultimately translate into a devastating terrorist attack on American soil, such as an Electro Magnetic Pulse, or EMP, catastrophe.

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security and the U.S. Northern Command and the Texas Department of Public Safety all have denied the April 14 Judicial Watch report citing unnamed “sources that include a Mexican Army field grade officer and a Mexican Federal Police Inspector.”

The sources claimed ISIS “has established its base around eight miles from the U.S. border in an area known as ‘Anapra’ situated just west of Ciudad Juárez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua.”

Judicial Watch further reported on an ISIS camp west of Juarez, which the organization said was planning to attack towns in New Mexico.

Rep. Beto O’Rourke, D-Texas, said he contacted the Mexican government, DHS and the U.S. Northern Command, all of whom told him they have no intelligence indicating ISIS is operating on the U.S.-Mexico border. O’Rourke represents the border city of El Paso and the surrounding area.

The free WND special report “ISIS Rising,” by Middle East expert and former Department of Defense analyst Michael Maloof, will answer your questions about the jihadist army threatening the West.

“Stories like these are good at scaring people and getting attention for those who spread them,” wrote O’Rourke on his Facebook page. “But they are terrible for the country’s image of the border, for El Paso’s ability to recruit talent, and for our region’s opportunity to capitalize on the benefits of being the largest bi-national community in the world.”

Department of Public Safety Deputy Director Robert J. Bodisch also denied the Judicial Watch claims.

“The Department of Public Safety and its intelligence community partners have no such credible information to corroborate or validate this today,” Bodisch wrote in an agency memo.

It’s not the first Judicial Watch report claiming ISIS was using Mexico as a base to stage attacks in the U.S.

Last August, the watchdog reported “Islamic terrorist groups are operating in the Mexican border city of Ciudad Juarez and planning to attack the United States with car bombs or other vehicle borne improvised explosive devices,” citing anonymous “high-level federal law enforcement, intelligence and other sources.”

In a report that made headlines last October, two Republican lawmakers told BuzzFeed that suspected terrorists had infiltrated the U.S.–Mexico border and as many as 10 jihadists were captured. The DHS at the time denied the claims.

Numerous U.S. lawmakers have repeatedly warned about ISIS teaming up with drug cartels.

In October, Sen. Tom Cotton, R-Ark., warned in a town hall conversation that “groups like the Islamic State collaborate with drug cartels in Mexico who have clearly shown they’re willing to expand outside the drug trade into human trafficking and potentially even terrorism.”

“They could infiltrate our defenseless border and attack us right here in places like Arkansas.”

Cotton was likely referencing the Judicial Watch report.

In August, Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, a member of the House Judiciary Committee on Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security, was asked on Newmax TV’s “America’s Forum” whether there was an ISIS-Mexican drug cartel connection.

“My opinion is yes,” he replied. “There seems to be at least a talking to each other. How much? I don’t know. But … drug cartels use the same operational plan as terrorist groups do. They kill their opponents, they behead their opponents, they brag about it and they have operational control of many portions of the southern border of the United States. Mexico doesn’t.

“The United States doesn’t,” he continued. “Otherwise they wouldn’t be crossing daily with their drugs. They’re as vicious as some of these other terrorist organizations. We need to recognize them that this is an organized international crime group. And we have to deal with them as such.”

The reports of terrorists trying to cross the U.S.-Mexico border also took center stage during the 2012 presidential campaign, when candidates Rick Perry and Mitt Romney both warned terrorists infiltrating via Mexico posed a significant threat to U.S. national security.

Texas’s O’Rourke, however, was the public face of the Democrats in responding to those claims. He stated Republicans were simply trying to gin up opposition to immigration reform.

“There’s a longstanding history in this country of projecting whatever fears we have onto the border,” stated O’Rourke.

“In the absence of understanding the border, they insert their fears. Before it was Iran and al-Qaida. Now it’s ISIS. They just reach the conclusion that invasion is imminent, and it never is.”

Electrical grid

If terrorists are teaming up with Mexican drug cartels, the implications could be cataclysmic.

Not only do Mexican drug gangs maintain sophisticated smuggling routes, some of the more dangerous Mexican group have evidenced guerrilla-like tactics already used in terrorist-style attacks.

On Oct. 27, 2013, for example, the criminal drug cartel known as the Knights Templars attacked electrical facilities and blacked out Mexico’s Michoacan state, which boasts a population of 420,000. During the blackout, the Knights Templars reportedly entered towns and villages at will, terrorized the citizens and police, and publicly executed leaders opposed to the drug trade.

In an attack still largely unexplained, on April 16, 2013, a sophisticated assault was carried out on PG&E Corp’s Metcalf Transmission Substation outside of San Jose, California, which supplies power to San Francisco and other areas. A team of gunmen fired sniper and assault rifles on the substation, severely damaging 17 transformers.

Peter Pry, executive director of the Task Force on National and Homeland Security and director of the U.S. Nuclear Strategy Forum, believes the assault could have been part of a terrorist group’s preparation for a future attack on the U.S. electrical grid.

Jon Wellinghoff, the former chairman of the U.S. agency responsible for grid security, also warned that the Metcalf attack was likely a dry run for a future large-scale attack.

On the same day as the Metcalf assault, North Korea flew its KSM-3 satellite on the optimum trajectory and altitude to evade U.S. radars and carry out a potential EMP attack drill.

Networks within U.S. cities

An ISIS-Mexican drug cartel alliance could cause pandemonium in U.S. cities. Mexican drug cartels have established major networks within the U.S.

Earlier this month it was reported that federal agents arrested 976 suspected gang members across scores of American cities in a large-scale operation in February and March. The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency said 199 of those arrested were foreign nationals.

Criminal street gangs are responsible for the majority of violent crimes within the U.S. and are the primary distributors of most illicit drugs, according to a previous report by the Justice Department’s National Drug Intelligence Center, or NDIC.

The NDIC was a task force established in 1993 to coordinate law enforcement actions to stop drug trafficking and to curb the growing threat of violent gangs in the U.S. The agency was closed by the Obama administration in June 2011.

In October 2011, the Immigration and Customs Enforcement reported that in 2009 and 2010 it arrested 5,270 illegal alien gang members across all 50 states.

A 2011 FBI report draws a far dimmer picture of the nature of criminal gangs operating domestically. According to the FBI, criminal street gangs – mostly comprised of illegal aliens – are acquiring high-powered, military-style weapons to engage in lethal encounters with law enforcement members and citizens alike.

States the report: “There are an estimated 1.4 million active street, prison and outlaw motorcycle gang members in more than 33,000 gangs operating in all 50 states, the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico.”

The report notes those numbers reflect an increase from 2009 figures due “primarily to more comprehensive reporting from law enforcement and enhanced gang recruiting efforts.”

In July 2014, WND reported the risk of ISIS infiltrating from Mexico, perhaps with the help of drug gangs.

WND senior staff writer Michael Maloof, a U.S. Defense Department analyst under President Bush, warned ISIS could use the Mexican border to infiltrate America, and it could happen “sooner rather than later.”

“MS-13 already are in over 1,100 U.S. cities, and, as a consequence, the infiltration capabilities are very, very high and the threat from them can be sooner rather than later,” Maloof warned at the time.

Jihadists have displaced 800,00 children in Nigeria
The Obama administration has said that Boko Haram has “legitimate concerns.” Legitimate? According to one only school of “law” — sharia.
“Nigeria Boko Haram: 800,000 children displaced by violence with many abused and forced to fight,” By Ludovica Iaccino, IBT,  April 13, 2015
Unicef warned that at least 800,000 children have been displaced due to violence by terror group Boko Haram (REUTERS/Joe Penney)

Some 800,000 children have been displaced due to violence by terror group Boko Haram in north-eastern Nigeria.
According to the UN Children’s Fund (Unicef), many of the children have been separated from their families and are subjected to abuse such as rape and forced marriage. Some of them are also being used by the terrorists as combatants and for suicide bomb missions.
Who is Boko Haram?
Boko Haram fights against Western influence in Nigeria and aims to impose its version of Sharia law in the country. The group declared an Islamic caliphate in Gwoza, along the Cameroon border, in August 2014.
Boko Haram has raided several cities in the north of the country in a bid to take control of more land.
Three states, Adamawa, Borno and Yobe, have been under a state of emergency since May 2013, due to Boko Haram’s deadly attacks.
Unicef also warned that the number of child refugees has doubled in the past year and that the number of children not attending schools is now 10.5 million, compared to eight million in 2007.
The report comes a day before the first anniversary of the mass kidnapping from Chibok, where the terrorists abducted some 270 schoolgirls in April 2014. Shortly after, 50 girls managed to escape, but the rest are still missing amid reports that that they are being used as suicide bombers.
Boko Haram has killed thousands of people and captured several territories in north-eastern Nigeria since its insurgency started in early 2000s. The Nigerian army – aided by troops from neighbouring countries Chad, Cameroon, Niger and Benin – has regained control of some of the areas previously controlled.
The army’s offensive was launched a few weeks before Nigeria held a presidential election, which was postponed by the then president Goodluck Jonathan in February amid security concerns.
The newly elected President Muhammadu Buhari vowed to defeat Boko Haram, which recently pledged allegiance to Islamic State (Isis) terror group.
Meanwhile, reports say that Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC) party won key states — such as Nigeria’s richest state, Lagos — from Jonathan’s defeated People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as voting for state governorship was extended due to widespread violence that prevented Nigerians from going to polling stations.
The APC’s victory in Lagos means that for the first time since the end of military rule in 1999, both the governor of this state and Nigeria’s president are from the same party.
Opposition candidates are also contesting victory of PDP in the oil-rich southern Rivers state, where at least nine people were killed, election workers abducted and a polling station and a government official’s house set on fire.

ISIS Terror Camp a Few Miles from Texas
And Obama says, amnesty for all — by executive order!

The number of OTMs (Other Than Mexicans) — Pakistanis, Afghanis, Iraqis — Muslims from jihad nations) illegally crossing the border has been escalating for years. Read this piece I wrote for the Washington Times back in 2010: Borderline Obama.
Mexican Army and federal law enforcement officials discovered documents in Arabic and Urdu, as well as “plans” of Fort Bliss – the sprawling military installation that houses the US Army’s 1st Armored Division. Muslim prayer rugs were recovered with the documents during the operation.
Jihad groups like Hezb’Allah have used the narco terror transit routes throughout Mexico for years. The hard work was already done — ISIS just had to move on in. We have seen a spike in ritual Islamic slaughter (beheadings) in drug/terror trade in Mexico and the border. Watch it escalate now.
Ticking time bomb……

ISIS Camp a Few Miles from Texas, Mexican Authorities Confirm, Judicial Watch,  April 14, 2015
http://www.judicialwatch.org/blog/2015/04/isis-camp-a-few-miles-from-texas-mexican-authorities-confirm/
ISIS is operating a camp just a few miles from El Paso, Texas, according to Judicial Watch sources that include a Mexican Army field grade officer and a Mexican Federal Police Inspector.

The exact location where the terrorist group has established its base is around eight miles from the U.S. border in an area known as “Anapra” situated just west of Ciudad Juárez in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. Another ISIS cell to the west of Ciudad Juárez, in Puerto Palomas, targets the New Mexico towns of Columbus and Deming for easy access to the United States, the same knowledgeable sources confirm.
During the course of a joint operation last week, Mexican Army and federal law enforcement officials discovered documents in Arabic and Urdu, as well as “plans” of Fort Bliss – the sprawling military installation that houses the US Army’s 1st Armored Division. Muslim prayer rugs were recovered with the documents during the operation.
Law enforcement and intelligence sources report the area around Anapra is dominated by the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes Cartel (“Juárez Cartel”), La Línea (the enforcement arm of the cartel) and the Barrio Azteca (a gang originally formed in the jails of El Paso). Cartel control of the Anapra area make it an extremely dangerous and hostile operating environment for Mexican Army and Federal Police operations.
According to these same sources, “coyotes” engaged in human smuggling – and working for Juárez Cartel – help move ISIS terrorists through the desert and across the border between Santa Teresa and Sunland Park, New Mexico. To the east of El Paso and Ciudad Juárez, cartel-backed “coyotes” are also smuggling ISIS terrorists through the porous border between Acala and Fort Hancock, Texas. These specific areas were targeted for exploitation by ISIS because of their understaffed municipal and county police forces, and the relative safe-havens the areas provide for the unchecked large-scale drug smuggling that was already ongoing.
Mexican intelligence sources report that ISIS intends to exploit the railways and airport facilities in the vicinity of Santa Teresa, NM (a US port-of-entry). The sources also say that ISIS has “spotters” located in the East Potrillo Mountains of New Mexico (largely managed by the Bureau of Land Management) to assist with terrorist border crossing operations. ISIS is conducting reconnaissance of regional universities; the White Sands Missile Range; government facilities in Alamogordo, NM; Ft. Bliss; and the electrical power facilities near Anapra and Chaparral, NM.

Islamic State sniper shoots and kills 13-year-old “Palestinian” girl trying to escape “refugee camp”
The Yarmouk “refugee camp” was established in 1948, so by 2015, it isn’t a refugee camp at all. It’s a neighborhood, as this article calls it, or even a city unto itself. But it is still called a “refugee camp” because the UN and the Muslim countries want to keep alive the idea of “Palestinian” “refugees” so that they can use them as supposed evidence of supposed Israeli wrongdoing. Never before in history has refugee status been passed down to children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren. But that’s the depth of the Muslim states’ hatred for Israel: none of them would give the “Palestinians” citizenship, even though there is no ethnic difference between them and the neighboring Arabs, except Jordan.

Also, where is the world’s outcry against this violence against the “Palestinians”? Or does the world “human rights community” only wring its hands over the “Palestinians” when it wants to bash Israel?
“Isis sniper ‘shoots dead 13-year-old Palestinian girl trying to escape Syrian refugee camp,'” Independent, April 13, 2015:
A 13-year-old girl has been shot dead by Isis snipers as she tried to flee a besieged refugee camp in Syria, Palestinian militants have claimed.
The child, named as Zaynab Daghastani, was reportedly killed on Tuesday outside her home in Yarmouk, which was overrun by Isis at the end of last month.
Militants entered an apartment building and apprehended the girl, Al Masdar News reported, and she was later shot dead by a sniper outside her home. Around 2,000 people have been evacuated since Isis seized control of large parts of the camp More than 2,000 people have been evacuated since Isis seized control of large parts of the camp
The website cited sources from Palestinian militant group Fatah Al-Intifada, which is fighting Isis alongside the Palestine Liberation Army and other armed factions, and the account could not be confirmed.
The International Business Times reported that Zaynab had been trying to escape the camp with her family, making for safety in the nearby district of Yelda.
Charity workers from the Jafra Foundation estimated that 2,500 families have fled so far to avoid street fighting and bombardment.
Militants with the so-called Islamic State have been backed by rivals Jabhat al-Nusra in efforts to control Yarmouk, which is home to around 18,000 Palestinians.
Their takeover prompted a series of air strikes by forces loyal to the Syrian President, Bashar al-Assad, and United Nations officials have described the humanitarian situation as “beyond inhumane”.
Isis has been accused of beheading captives and murdering and endangering the lives of civilians in Yarmouk.
Pierre Krahenbuhl, head of UN Palestinian refugee agency UNRWA, said called on all sides to respect the “beleaguered” civilians trapped inside.
“They have suffered untold indignities and I shall continue to work today to assist those who wish to temporarily leave in safety,” he added. “At the same time, we need to look at ways to provide humanitarian assistance to the civilians inside Yarmouk.”
Control of the camp has given Isis its first foothold in the Syrian capital of Damascus, adding another level of misery to residents who have already survived a two-year government siege, starvation and disease.
Mr Krahenbuhl said talks on Sunday with the Syrian government “offer some grounds for optimism” but stressed that much remains to be done in his meetings today with senior officials to secure humanitarian access for the camp.
Yarmouk was the main camp established in Syria for Palestinians who fled the 1948 war sparked by the creation of Israel.
Before the Syrian civil war, it was a sprawling, built-up neighbourhood that was home to more than 150,000 Palestinians but that number is falling as residents flee or are killed.
President Assad’s forces put it under a crippling blockade after Palestinian rebels based there sided with rebels trying to topple the government during the 2011 Arab Spring.

ISIS in danger of being wiped out - by deadly flesh-eating disease
18:57, 2 April 2015 By Mhairi Macfarlane
An outbreak of Leishmaniasis is spreading fast due to to pollution and poor hygiene conditions
Parasites: Leishmaniasis is a disease caused by parasites and spread by the bite of certain types of sandflies
Islamic State fighters are falling ill in their droves to a deadly flesh-eating virus.

Known as Leishmaniasis, the disease is spreading at a fast thanks to pollution and poor hygiene conditions and there have been more than 100,000 cases reported, the Sun has reported.
It causes large open wounds which eat away at flesh, is fatal if not treated with a simple course of medicine.
But the jihadi fighters are refusing medical treatment which has led to more outbreaks.
People in the Islamic State’s capital Raqqa, in war-torn Syria, are at the highest risk.
Doctors from non-government organisation (NGO) Medecins Sans Frontieres were initially trying to curb the outbreaks but have now left since Islamic State set up.
Outbreak: Jihadi fighters are refusing medical treatment for the flesh-eating bug
And other medical centres have closed down after medical staff fled the violence.

Local medics who have very little experience of treating the virus are left to deal with patients, which has led to it spreading extensively.
Leishmaniasis is a disease caused by parasites and spread by the bite of certain types of sandflies.
It is more prevalent in countries where people are suffering from poverty, malnutrition, deforestation and urbanization.
There are different forms, but it can cause skin ulcers, fever, low red blood cells and enlarged spleen and liver
TV presenter Ben Fogle, 41, was bedridden for three weeks in 2008 after catching the virus in Peru while filming TV programme Extreme Dreams.
He made a full recovery after being treated at the London Hospital for Tropical Diseases

ISIS Cuts Off 4 Kids’ Hands, One for Stealing Toy; Executes Starving Child for Stealing Food
Isn’t it reassuring to know that colleges and universities here in the United States are helping organize, set up and fund ISIS (Islamic State) clubs for our children?

This is the sharia — and yet college campuses in America have all but banned voices against this slaughter, oppression, and subjugation. Instead, they welcome the slaughterers. So when you scratch your head wondering how an enemy like Obama got elected — it’s not that surprising.

An activist (not pictured) holds a burning torch near children carrying banners inside a cage during a protest against forces loyal to Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad in Douma, eastern Al-Ghouta, near Damascus, February 15, 2015. The protest, which made children wear orange suits depicting victims of the Islamic State, calls to compare forces loyal to Syria’s president Bashar al-Assad to Islamic State forces, and to draw attention to residents living under siege and dying from strikes by forces loyal to Syria’s president Bashar Al-Assad, activists said.
A mixed Sunni-Shia family that once lived in ISIS’ Iraqi stronghold of Mosul but has fled to live in the Kurdish north after the militant group took over the town last June, has provided deeper insight and revelations about the horrors that people living under the jihadis brand of sharia rule must deal with.
In an interview with the Iraqi news website Rudaw that was published on Tuesday, the Al-Saraj family, with the father being a Sunni and the mother being a Shia, explained that although they are now living in the Kurdish town of Dohuk, they still maintain contact with their friends and loved ones that are still inside Mosul and subjected to the barbarity of the group’s rule.
While it is no secret that the Islamic State regularly amputates the hands of grown adults who have been accused of stealing inside its strongholds, apparently no exception is given by the militants when a child is accused of stealing.
In the interview, the Saraj daughter, who is referred to as just “SA,” read a text message that she received from one of her friends that still lives in Mosul, which indicated that the group’s police force amputated the hands of four kids for stealing.
“Yesterday they cut off the hands of four kids, ages 12, 11, 13 and 16,” the friend texted to SA. “One of the kids stole a toy bird, another stole an electric cable.”
SA’s brother, who is referenced as “Ibrahim,” added to SA’s comments by showing the Rudaw reporter a video of a preteen being shot in the back of the head, execution style, by ISIS militants because he stole food when he was hungry.
The report explains that because of ISIS’ takeover in Mosul, there has been a food shortage in the town and it is somewhat understandable why the child stole the food. The video also shows the kid’s father pleading for his son’s life before he was ultimately executed.
“He stole something, he wanted to eat,” Ibrahim stated.
The mother, who was referred to as “RS,” is a women’s rights activist and described the strict punishments that the Islamic State has imposed on women that violate its strict laws.
“They cut off their hair, some are stoned, some are shot, and some are beheaded for adultery,” RS said. “If the woman has a boyfriend, the punishment is stoning. If she has more than one boyfriend, she’ll be shot.”
Additionally, the family added that under ISIS rule a Sunni man and a Shia woman are not allowed to marry and if the group found out that a Sunni man is married to a Shia woman, the group forces the man to divorce his wife.
The family also disclosed that many families in Mosul are afraid to send their daughters to school because of the tendency of the militants to go to the schools and take girls from class and force them to marry, adding that the fighters tend to pick non-muslim girls.
“For Yazidis, if a girl is under eight, nothing happens, but if she’s older than eight, they force her to have sex with the jihadists,” RS said.
The father, who was given the initials “MS,” explained how ISIS militants were preparing citizens in the towns to eventually be human shields for ISIS fighters during times of battle by closing down all the barbershops and forcing men to grown out long hair and beards. The thought behind that strategy is that when the Kurds, Iraqi forces or Christian militias attack ISIS militants in Mosul, they will have a hard time differentiating between civilians and actual ISIS fighters.
MS said that since ISIS has taken over and applied its strict brand of sharia law, there has been a growing resentment toward ISIS in Mosul, although many in town initially welcomed the militants. He added that he suspects the group only has about 2,000 fighters to police a town that once was home to over two million.
Of the 2,000 ISIS fighters, MS suspects that only half of them are actually from Iraq, while the other half are foreign fighters recruited from all over the world. Although MS thinks that ISIS does not have enough manpower to fully police the town, he said the people of Mosul have not risen up against the rule of ISIS because they are terrified by the group’s brutality.
He also added that it does not help that before ISIS took over the town, the Kurdish government forces “went house to house and took all the weapons” in order to prevent a rebel uprising. But in doing that, the Kurds left Mosul residents with nothing more than a knives to defend themselves, their families and their property.
“People are like sheep now,” Ibrahim added. “They don’t have weapons, only knives.”
As thousands of families have fled Iraq because of the rise of ISIS and the population in ISIS’ strongholds has decreased, the group has found ways to prevent people from completely fleeing the town. According to the report, people that now want to leave Mosul must give ISIS the deed to their home or some kind of collateral to ensure that they will return.
Although the family has fled Mosul and now lives in an apartment in Dohuk , they still can not enjoy complete freedom.
Since the family is a Muslim family living in a Kurdish area, the parents explained that many in the area believe they are ISIS supporters and they are not allowed to go out after dark and must report to the Kurdish government twice every month.

Mideast Christian, Yazidi Groups Urge UN to Act on ISIS Persecution
By JNS March 22, 2015 , 7:30 am

“For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:13)

Organizations representing religious minorities in the Middle East have submitted a memorandum to the United Nations in New York City, asking that U.N. missions from various countries call on the U.N. Security Council to issue a resolution against the Islamic State terror group’s persecution of minorities and to take tangible steps to save those vulnerable groups.
The memorandum, titled “Memo to the Secretary General of the United Nations Mr. Ban Ki-moon Regarding the Ethnic Cleansing of Ethno-Religious Minorities in Iraq & Syria And Establishing Protected Zones,” was presented on Friday by the Assyrian American National Federation, the American Mesopotamian Organization (AMO), the Council of Syriac Organizations, the Chaldean Syriac Assyrian Popular Council, Coptic Solidarity International, the Yazidi Human Rights Organization International, the Melkite Committee, the Middle East Christian committee MECHRIC, and the American Maronite Union.
“There is a growing chorus of peoples from around the world calling for the protection and arming of the Assyrians and Yazidis,” said David William Lazar, chairman of AMO and the executive director of Restore Nineveh Now, a group promoting protection and relief for Assyrian Christians.
“We are hearing from thousands across the globe who either want to fight on behalf of religious minorities in Iraq and Syria, or are pledging their financial support for Assyrian fighters in the region. Because we believe in the rule of law and the dignity of humankind towards one another, we cannot but hope that the U.N. listens to the world’s peoples and acts on our call for action,” Lazar, told JNS.org.
The memorandum notes how the Yazidi and Christian (Assyrian, Chaldean, and Syriac) communities have faced “systematic acts of ethnic cleansing, massacres, assassinations, abduction, rape, and kidnapping perpetrated by the ‘Islamic State’ (known as Daesh) against these communities since June 2014.”
Since Islamic State has conquered wide swaths of northern Iraq in the summer of 2014, it has displaced more than 1.8 million Iraqis, may of them Christians. Last June, Christians fled the city of Mosul to nearby Christian villages after the Iraqi army fled and Islamic State took over the city. In July, the remaining Christians in Mosul were given the ultimatum to leave, pay jizya (an Islamic tax on minorities), convert to Islam, or face death, leading to a final exodus of Mosul’s Christians on July 19.
Most Iraqi Christians, and some Syrian Christians, belong to the ethnic group known as the Assyrians, a people considering themselves to be direct descendants of the numerous ancient Mesopotamian civilizations such as the Sumerians, Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyrians, who were mentioned frequently in the Hebrew bible.
According to the Assyrian International News Agency, Islamic State also abducted 150 Assyrian Christians this past February, though other reports cited higher numbers of hostages. Islamic State has also attacked 35 Assyrian villages along the Khabur River in northeastern Syria, near the city of Hasaka.
At the same time, the Yazidis, a Kurdish ethnoreligious group that is linked to Zoroastrianism and other ancient Mesopotamian faiths, are continuing fighting Islamic State near Mount Sinjar in northern Iraq.
In August 2014, Islamic State forced an estimated 300,000 Yazidis to flee the area. Many of those who were unable to flee were caught and enslaved, especially Yazidi women, many of whom were sold into sexual slavery. Currently, about 10,000 Yazidis are still hiding from Islamic State on the top of Mount Sinjar—even forming their own militia, called the Sinjar Resistance Units, Middle East Monitor reported.
“The Yazidi people of Iraq have suffered beyond words at the hands of ISIS (Islamic State),” said Mirza Ismail, chairman of Yazidi Human Rights Organization International.
“Barely seeing us as human, the criminal enterprise that is Daesh has murdered and enslaved the Yazidi people” on a massive scale, and “we have also been betrayed time and again by those sworn to protect us, namely the Kurdish Regional Government and its armed forces the Peshmerga,” Ismail said.
According to the memorandum submitted to the U.N., persecution by Islamic State jihadists “is part of a global threat and pattern in the region against minorities in general,” and therefore, specific actions must be taken to address the crisis, including global action to liberate Yazidi women and children held captive by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria as well as the Assyrian hostages in Syria who were taken by Islamic State in February.

The memorandum also calls for international protection and logistical assistance for religious minority groups persecuted by Islamic State, and the international establishment of interim safe zones and new homes for rescued refugees. The memorandum asks for the arming of Yazidi, Syriac, Assyrian and other forces, and the sending of humanitarian aid to refugees. The organizations behind the memorandum also seek an international legal process that would hold Islamic State terrorists accountable for their crimes.

“Given the EU’s (European Union) recent non-binding vote for the creation of a safe haven for Iraq’s religious minorities… we hope and expect that the international community will mobilize its considerable resources to either intervene in Iraq and Syria and/or provide the needed arms and munitions for the Assyrians Christian and Yazidi people to defend themselves and expel the so-called Islamic State from their native lands in Iraq and Syria,” Lazar told JNS.org.
In addition to the persecution of minorities in Iraq and Syria, the memorandum condemns “the atrocious slaughter by ISIS (Daesh) of 21 Coptic Egyptian workers in Libya and the killings by jihadists of migrant Coptic Egyptian workers in Libya.” The international community should intervene by mounting a “U.N. operation in Libya to evacuate Egyptian Copts, and any Egyptian worker who have been cut off from their mother country,” states the memorandum.
Finally, the memorandum calls for the U.N. to support the ongoing partnership in Egypt between Coptic Christian Pope Tawadros II and the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar, who are working together to protect Egyptian religious minorities from terrorism.
The U.N. Security Council is scheduled to meet on March 27 to oppose the persecution of Mideast Christians and other regional minorities. It is “completely unacceptable what has been done to these minorities,” French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told BFM TV. Fabius, who will chair the upcoming Security Council meeting, said that Islamic State “and terrorists who are with them simply want to eradicate, physically remove, guillotine anyone who doesn’t think like them.”
William Youmaran, president of the Assyrian American National Federation, told JNS.org he believes that “the global Jewish community and the entire world” must understand that “without the intervention of the international community, specifically the arming of Assyrian and Yazidi peoples in Iraq and Syria, as well as the creation of a safe haven for all ethnoreligious minorities in the Middle East, Christians and Christianity will be forever erased from the region.”
“We understand that not all peoples see the tremendous religious and regional implications of such a loss, but if the world community no longer fear the judgment of God, let us all fear the judgment of history for failing to act at this critical and dire moment for millions in the Middle East,” Youmaran said.

Heartbreaking Times in Kobani
By Jonathan Spyer March 9, 2015 , 9:30 am
The Kurds may have kicked Islamic State out of Kobani, but 200,000 refugees remain in dire conditions on the Turkish side of the border.

SURUC, Turkey – Kobani refugees faced a bitter winter on the Turkish-Syrian border, yet there was one bright spot: The fight to rid the Kurdish Syrian town of Islamic State jihadists was officially declared over on January 27.
The Kurdish YPG militia, with the vital assistance of the US Air Force’s 9th Expeditionary Bomb Squadron and additional coalition air power, drove the last of the jihadists out and planted the Kurdish flag once more over Kobani.
They have kept up the momentum; more than 160 additional villages in what once formed the Kobani enclave have been liberated. The Kurds are now pressing up against Tel Abyad to the east of the city, and Jarabulus to its west.
Yet for the civilian residents of Kobani, the story is far from over.
Around 200,000 displaced people remain on the Turkish side of the border; they form the overwhelming majority of the families who fled Kobani last autumn, before US air support began, when it looked like the city was doomed. Concentrated in and around the border town of Suruc are 67,200 of the refugees, where a number of makeshift refugee camps have been established.
Refugees have also taken up residence in any available space, swelling the population of the town. Many of the structures are exposed to the elements, and lack even the most basic facilities. It is an acute humanitarian crisis – one largely ignored now that the fighting fronts have moved elsewhere.
Last week, this reporter visited Suruc and the border area, seeking to gain a clearer picture of the reality facing both refugees and returnees.
For the 4,000 or so who have returned to Kobani and environs, the main problem beyond the sheer physical destruction visited on the city is booby traps. Islamic State forces, before leaving, wired explosives to much of what remained intact in the city – including furniture, doorways and toys.
“We need experts to come in and remove the unexploded bombs,” Mustafa Alali, a Kurdish activist who was among the first to return to Kobani, tells me, “and then we need a humanitarian corridor for helping the people as they begin to return, with food, water and electricity.”
Most of those who have returned were formerly residents not of Kobani town itself, but of villages surrounding it. The villages were rapidly abandoned by the jihadists once Islamic State ceded the goal of conquering the urban area. As a result, houses in the rural points of settlement were less badly damaged in the fighting than those in the city.
image: http://www.breakingisraelnews.com/wp-content/uploads/useful_banner_manager_banners/8-H2H-GIF-Banner.gif
In Kobani town, little remains. Yet impatience to return is growing among the refugees.
“Just yesterday, a seven-year-old girl here in my office was asking her father why they haven’t gone home yet to Kobani,” says Mustafa Dogal, head of Kurdish relief efforts in Suruc, speaking in his cluttered office there. “And of course, he doesn’t know how to tell her that their home simply doesn’t exist any more.”
“People are running out of patience to return to their homes,” Dogal continues.
“There is an urgent need to rebuild houses, schools and hospitals, and for clean water and electricity; Kobani now has none of these. We are living in heartbreaking times.”
But Alali and Dogal’s hope for a “humanitarian corridor” from Turkey into Kobani runs up against the political reality of Turkish-Kurdish conflict.
The Turkish government appeared content to allow Kobani to fall to Islamic State; Turkish forces assembled to the north of the enclave during the battle made no move to intervene. This is because the Kurdish cantons in Syria are controlled by the Syrian franchise of the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) – which has been engaged in an insurgency against the Turkish government for over 30 years.
The conflict has left a legacy of extreme distrust between the Turkish authorities and Kurds on both sides of the border, and this is having a direct impact on the plight of the refugees. In January, AFAD (the Disaster and Emergency Management Organization of the Turkish republic) opened a new camp, offering accommodation for 35,000 refugees; thus far, only around 4,000 people have taken up residence there.
“People are worried about going to the government camp,” says Ferzad Daniel, an Iranian Kurdish relief worker in Suruc. “You need to remember that many of the refugees are Kurdish activists on one level or another; they’re worried about retaliation from the government after the ‘foreigners’ leave.”
The absence of facilities for education in Kurdish under AFAD auspices is another reason given for avoiding the government camp. Lack of food is the main problem facing the refugees who prefer to remain outside of Turkish jurisdiction, says Ferzad. “Food not controlled by the government isn’t reaching the camps; so the refugees live on a meager diet of just rice and beans. There are urgent health issues, too – flu is everywhere; 40 percent of the children have diarrhea; and there are skin diseases too, brought on by lack of nutrition.”
Despite the shortages, the camps maintained by the Kurdish relief organizations offer basic but adequate facilities – tents, washing areas, schooling in Kurdish for the children.
Disused houses in Suruc have also been occupied by some refugee families, seeking shelter from the elements. Conditions here are primitive in the extreme. In one structure I visited, four families – 40 people in total – were living together in one large room, with just a blanket placed over the open doorway.
One of the families, the Shaikhos of Sheran village, are still mourning the loss of their eldest son, 19-year-old Mahmoud, who was killed when he stepped on a land mine while crossing the border to escape the advance of the jihadists last October.
Mahmoud’s younger brother, Fadel, 13, was with him when he was killed; Fadel survived the explosion, but lost both legs. Now he lives with his family in the large, empty shell of a house in Suruc, a thoughtful-looking boy who tries but does not quite succeed in smiling.
The plight of the Kobani refugees is just one element of the vast problem of people displaced by the Syrian war. No end to the war appears in sight, and spring looks set to bring little respite to the refugees on the Turkish- Syrian border.
Heartbreaking times, indeed.

ISIS Attacks Christian Villages in Same Syrian Area Where Hundreds of Assyrians Were Abducted
BY ANUGRAH KUMAR , CHRISTIAN POST CONTRIBUTOR
March 8, 2015|9:55 am
Fighters of the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) patrol in the streets of the northern Syrian town of Kobani January 28, 2015. Kurdish forces battled Islamic State fighters outside Kobani on Tuesday, a monitoring group said, a day after Kurds said they had taken full control of the northern Syrian town following a four-month battle. Known as Ayn al-Arab in Arabic, the mainly Kurdish town close to the Turkish border has become a focal point in the international fight against Islamic State, an al Qaeda offshoot that has spread across Syria and Iraq.

Militants from Islamic State, or ISIS, attacked at least three more villages in northeasern Syria on Saturday, about a month after the Sunni terror group abducted hundreds of Assyrian Christians from the same area.
ISIS, which is also known as ISIL, began the attack Saturday evening, targeting at least three villages near the town of Tal Tamr along the Khabur River in Hassakeh province, according to The Associated Press.
As Kurdish militiamen and their local allies were defending the villages, dozens of fighters from both sides have been killed, Britain-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reports.
"The battles are now very intensive, very violent," Osama Edwards, director of the Assyrian Network for Human Rights, was quoted as saying. "Tal Tamr is the main goal of the Islamic State, to give them the corridor to the eastern border to Iraq."
ISIS is an offshoot of al-Qaeda and wants to establish a caliphate in the Levant region and beyond. It has gained control over large swathes of territories in Syria and Iraq.
According to the Observatory, Kurdish fighters backed by local Assyrian militiamen were eventually able to push ISIS militants back.
Meanwhile, 26 ISIS terrorists, including two commanders, were killed in airstrikes in Hama province.
Last week, ISIS reportedly released 19 Assyrians from the village of Tel Goran in al-Hassakeh province after local Arab leaders negotiated with the terror group for three days, according to Assyrian International News Agency, or AINA.
Those released included 17 women and two men. Many more from the same village and hundreds from other villages remain captive.
AINA estimates that ISIS captured between 262 and 373 Assyrians from 35 villages on Feb. 23. Their release is also being negotiated.
The Assyrians, an indigenous Christian people, trace their roots back to ancient Mesopotamia.
According to Catholic Herald, ISIS militants have killed 15 of those it captured in February.
"Around 15 young Assyrians are martyred. Many of them were fighting to defend and protect the villages and families," Herald quoted Abbot Emanuel Youkhana as saying last week. "It is believed there are casualties and many Assyrians have been killed in the village," he added.
Abbot Youkhana also said that the hostages were likely transported to the nearby area of Mount Abdul Aziz, which is controlled by ISIS.
About 3,000 Assyrians have fled their villages, and there are no families left in the 35 Assyrian Christian villages that were attacked last month. The only people left in the region are Christian militia fighters who are fighting alongside Kurdish troops.
Since last June, when ISIS declared its "caliphate," the terror group has killed roughly 2,000 people, about two-thirds of them civilians, according to the Observatory.

ISIS Leader Admits: We Are Being Funded By The Obama Administration

by Ted on February 20, 2015
By Theodore Shoebat

An ISIS leader named Yousef al-Salafi in Pakistan has admitted that ISIS is being funded by the USA, and thus, the Obama administration. This came from a statement done by the Pakistani government which interrogated Yousef and received this information from him. There was a news report done on this:
ISIS Leader: We Are Being Funded By The United States
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=01mnrPWIiiI

A source privy to the investigations said:

During the investigations, Yousaf al Salafi revealed that he was getting funding – routed through America – to run the organisation in Pakistan and recruit young people to fight in Syria
One source said that al Salafi confessed that he and another ally — said to be an imam — was getting paid by the US to recruit youths to join ISIS for $600 a recruit.
The same source said:
The US has been condemning the IS activities but unfortunately has not been able to stop funding of these organisations, which is being routed through the US… The US had to dispel the impression that it is financing the group for its own interests and that is why it launched offensive against the organisation in Iraq but not in Syria
The Obama administration funding ISIS should not surprise us. Lets not forget that the Obama administration has refused to back Egypt in its destruction of ISIS, and is working with Turkey which one of the main backers of ISIS. Let us also not forget that the USA supports the FSA and is working to continue to fund and train jihadists in Syria to overthrow the Assad regimen, an action that will only allow the Islamists, and ultimately Turkey, to dominate the Middle East.
The world truly is ruled by the devil, and all of his demons are possessing the most powerful people in the world, and while they make us think that they are doing the “right thing,” they are in reality supporting the epitome of all evil. From psychiatric drugs, Islamic terrorists, the slaughter of innocent infants, to the homosexual agenda, the evils that we see in front of our eyes are being empowered wicked men, embellished with suites and smiles.
We think the Islamic terrorists are the only evil, but the truth remains that the most demonic people are the ones behind the curtain of destruction, directing the scenes of perdition, while going before cameras with sharp grins, hand waves, and a lofty podium, and they are in power only because the masses allow them to be in power.
Let us always keep in mind that it was George Bush who removed Saddam, who was suppressing the jihadists and protecting the Christians, and all that did was set the stage for all of these Islamists to invade the Middle East, and from such chaos and disorder, ISIS was formed.
The fact remains that America is aiding the persecution of Christians in the Middle East, because at the end of the day, that is the ultimate goal of the jihadists: destroy Christianity.
This ISIS commander was in Pakistan, which means he was working to form a full sharia state in that country, which would only lead to a systematic slaughter of the Christian population.
We must help our Christian brethren in Pakistan from being slaughtered. Our organization, Rescue Christians, has saved thousands of Christians in Pakistan from murder and sexual torture. Help us rescue more Christians.

ISIS hits morality rock bottom - threatens to burn children alive in a cage
A picture posted by Pegida on Twitter shows children gathered and locked into a cage, and a someone holding a lit torch.

The source of the picture is not known or verified but the children are wearing the same orange jump suits as previous victims of ISIS' horrific execution methods.
Not long ago a Jordanian pilot was burned alive in a cage by ISIS, which triggered the Jordanian king to react and issue the following statement before bombing the crap out of the terrorist organization in Syria:
"Any son of a bitch takes a shot at me, I'm not only going to kill him, I'm going to kill his wife and all his friends and burn his damn house down."
Earlier this week, harrowing pictures emerged which appear to show captured Kurdish fighters paraded in cages by Islamic State militants through the streets of Kirkuk, Iraq.
Now ISIS even plans to burn children alive. It is such a horrific act that words fail to describe it. The terror organization must be exterminated, by any means necessary!

VIDEO: Eric Holder blames FOX for Jihad as ISIS displays incredible show of force on Europe’s doorstep: Jihadists in Libya who beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians
parade their fleet of brand new ‘police cars’ in front of cheering children

This is Obama’s Benghazi.
The Islamic State means to move on Europe via Libya. As Egypt strikes against Islamic State jihadists in Libya, the country’s ambassador warns the international community needs to act together.

Obama shrugs.

The carefully produced propaganda video was uploaded by Islamic group Ansar al-Sharia on February 5. All these groups are interchangeable. But don’ t tell Obama and co. that.

Today Eric Holder blamed Fox News for the Jihad: He mocked Fox News at the National Press Club today for talking so much about the Obama administration’s refusal to use the term “radical Islam.”
HOLDER: Whenever you’re getting criticized by both sides, it probably means you’re probably getting right.
Uh, no, it probably means you are getting it wrong. Very, very wrong.
We spend more time, more time talking about what you call it, as opposed to what do you do about it, you know? I mean really. If Fox didn’t talk about this, they would have nothing else to talk about, it seems to me.
Radical Islam, Islamic extremism; I’m not sure an awful lot is gained by saying that. It doesn’t have any impact on our military posture; it doesn’t have any impact on what we call it, on the policies that we put in place. What we have to do is defined not by the terms that we use, but by the facts on the ground. So I don’t worry an awful lot about what the appropriate terminology ought to be.
I think that people need to actually think about that, and think about will we be having this conversation about words as opposed to what our actions ought to be? This is a difficult problem. This is going to be an ongoing issue. This is something that requires us to think as a nation how we are going to deal with the domestic issues that I was describing in my previous response, and how are we going to deal with the foreign policy consequences of some very, very serious problems that our allies face, and that we face, particularly in a particular part of the world. The terminology, it seems to me little to no impact on what ultimately we have to do.
Has no impact. Your law enforcement agencies do not receive crucial training and education the jihadic doctrine — the impact is the Boston bombing.  Had FDR and the US government refused to use the words Third Reich, Nazi, National Socialist German Workers Party, would we have won?
ISIS’ incredible show of force on Europe’s doorstep: Terrorists in Libya who beheaded 21 Egyptian Christians parade their fleet of brand new ‘police cars’ in front of cheering children

The video shows fleet of Toyota pickup trucks carrying Islamic State flags
Men, women and children cheer as the cars drive through city of Benghazi
Uploaded by extremist group Ansar al-Sharia who want Sharia law in Libya

In wake of Islamic Takeover of Libya, Islamic State vows to take ROME
ISIS warned Italians: “You have seen us in Syria, now we’re right here, just south of Rome…”

In the latest video of jihadists beheading 21 Christians in Libya, the Islamic State vows to conquer Rome.
The rolling catastrophe of Obama’s post-American presidency.
Italy faces new Islamic State threat from Libya

Italians woke up on Monday to the worrying reality of a threat from Islamic State “signed with blood against the nation of the cross”.
Against the background of a video showing the apparent mass execution of 21 Egyptian Coptic Christians on a Libyan beach, ISIS warned Italians: “You have seen us in Syria, now we’re right here, just south of Rome…”
The bloody film footage appears to confirm reports that ISIS has moved into parts of Libya, particularly around the capital Tripoli, which is 624 miles across the Mediterranean and south of Rome.
Prior to the threat, the Italian government had already warned Italians not to travel to Libya. The foreign office had organised a ship to evacuate Italian expatriates living or working in Libya.
The ship, the “San Gwann”, arrived in the Sicilian port of Augusta late last night, having been accompanied from Libya by an Italian navy vessel and by an Italian air force plane.
Libya is a former colony of Italy, particularly during the Fascist regime Benito Mussolini and modern Italian governments tend to be watchful of the North African country .
Speaking to Italian state TV on Saturday, Prime Minister Matteo Renzi expressed his concern, saying:
“We’ve already said to the EU and to the international community that it is time to stop sleeping, that something very serious is happening in Libya and that just because we are the closest ones, the guys who pick up the boat people, don’t think you can leave all the problems to us.”
Mr Renzi called for a much reinforced UN mission to Libya, adding that Italy was ready “to play our part in defending freedom and human rights”.
The Renzi government believes that some sort of international peace-keeping force should urgently be sent to Libya: “Libya has to become an urgent international priority and Italy has a responsibility to urge this on the entire international community”, said foreign minister Paolo Gentiloni, who himself has been specifically threatened by ISIS propaganda.
Immigrants
Italy’s concern is focussed on the growing numbers of illegal immigrants attempting to cross into Italy from the coast of Libya.
Last week, more than 330 people are believed to have drowned when boats got into difficulty on the way to Italy. That incident has not halted the flow attempted crossings, with more than 2000 people in 15 different boats having to be rescued by the Coast Guard off Sicily on Saturday and Sunday.
Italian authorities are also concerned by an incident 50 miles from the Libyan coast, reported by Coast Guard operatives on Sunday, when armed men threatened a Coast Guard vessel while it was rescuing a people from a boat.
The armed men, equipped with Kalashnikovs, attempted to take the boat people ship just as soon as all the migrants had been transferred to the Coast Guard vessel.
In the meantime, Egypt’s air force struck multiple Islamic State targets near the eastern coastal city of Derna in Libya this morning in response to the released video.
A spokesman for Egypt’s military said Egyptian aircraft had targeted Islamic State training camps and weapons and ammunitions stores in a bombing raid around dawn on Monday.
In Rome, which has been on alert for some time now following a series of apparent ISIS threats against Pope Francis, there was no obvious increase in security arrangements.

Thousands of Foreign Fighters Join ISIS from Around the World
By Raphael Poch February 12, 2015 , 10:45 am

“Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter!” (Isaiah 5:20)

Over 150 US citizens made their way to Syria to join the ranks of ISIS, US intelligence officials confirmed. The American citizens joined another 3,400 westerners as part of a total 20,000 foreigners who sought out becoming part of the Islamist terror group.

The US National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) said that foreigners from over 90 countries have taken up ranks with ISIS. This estimated number rose by over 2,000 foreign volunteer fighters from the previously estimated number of 18,000 made in January, AFP reported.
While precise numbers were unavailable, NCTC Director Nicholas Rasmussen stated that “the trend lines are clear and concerning.” The statement was part of remarks prepared for a Congressional hearing which took place on Wednesday.

NCTC Director Nicholas Rasmussen
Rasmussen said that the current “rate of foreign fighter travel to Syria is unprecedented.” He explained that foreigners journeying to meet up with ISIS “exceeds the rate of travelers who went to Afghanistan and Pakistan, Iraq, Yemen or Somalia at any point in the last 20 years.”

Rasmussen iterated that these “fighters” do not fit one type of mold. They “come from a variety of background and do not fit any one stereotype,” leading to a very scary conclusion that the message of ISIS is hitting home with a broad range of people.

Even more worrisome, as Rasmussen pointed out, is that “the battlefields in Iraq and Syria provide foreign fighters with combat experience, weapons and explosives training, and access to terrorist networks that may be planning attacks which target the West.”
Rasmussen alluded to the success of the ISIS PR campaign targeting people all over the world via social media in a variety of languages. The group specifically targets troubled youth by portraying an ideal life inside their territory. Additionally the group has created special branding using techniques and slogans that mirror successful Western products or ideologies.

One of the recent MEMEs sent out by the group reads: “YODO: You Only Die Once, so why not make it martyrdom.” In a stark contrast to Al-Qaeda, which has never displayed such strategies, ISIS is continuing to succeed at bringing in young thrill seekers, and alarming governments, primarily in the west.

Other theories as to why ISIS is so successful at recruiting foreigners is that they do not discriminate against foreigners, and even have foreigners as high ranking officials and officers. “They show themselves as the sexiest jihadi group on the block,” said Matthew Levitt, the director of counterterrorism and intelligence at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy, in an interview last year with Time Magazine.
Rasmussen’s report also noted that while there is no one path that foreign volunteers take to get to Syria and join ISIS, the majority of them travel through Turkey at some point due to the countries proximity to ISIS controlled areas. They are also taking advantage of the fact the Turkey has no visa requirements for 69 different countries, including many from the European Union, making it easier to gain entrance to Turkey.
Turkey, for its part, has attempted to stem the flow and ban potential jihadists from reaching ISIS. Over 10,000 people have been banned from travel once inside Turkey on suspicion of trying to join ISIS. Earlier this week on Tuesday, Turkey detained 14 people attempting to cross the border to join ISIS.
The current belief in the US is that the foreign volunteers will return with more skills and training and begin to launch domestic lone-wolf terror attacks. This concern is shared by other countries as well, and some have refused return entry to any citizen who has gone to fight or volunteer with ISIS.

In Israel, the government is facing a similar but yet more daunting problem. Within the country itself intelligence and counter-terrorism units have already busted several ISIS affiliated terror networks popping up across Judea, Samaria, Gaza and Jerusalem.

Israel has already passed laws making it illegal for Israeli citizens to establish ISIS terror networks in Israel and to travel abroad to become an ISIS jihadist.
In January, a gag-order was lifted on information pertaining to an ISIS terror network operating out of Hebron. Three men were arrested and admitted under interrogation that they were in the midst of establishing an armed wing of ISIS in Palestinian territories.

Along the Israel-Syria border, a report from September confirmed that ISIS was secretly planting sleeper cells near the Israeli border as part of a larger plan to attack Israel in the future.
In Gaza, Hamas is fighting a losing battle against ISIS as the jihadist group is gaining in popularity and attracting a large following. While Hamas has denied that ISIS is operating in the Strip, Palestinian and Israeli security sources say otherwise.

Recently, ISIS networks operating in Israel called for a coup on Hamas and Palestinian Authority leaders in order to seize control of Palestinian territories and expand their reach.
In response to the growing domestic threat of ISIS in Israel’s border, the defense establishment has established a new intelligence unit within the IDF tasked with tracking ISIS’s attempts to recruit Palestinians to their cause.

ISIS CAPTORS ‘DIDN’T EVEN HAVE THE KORAN’, SAYS FRENCH JOURNALIST HELD PRISONER BY GROUP FOR MORE THAN 10 MONTHS
by JAMES RUSH | THE INDEPENDENT | FEBRUARY 4, 2015

Discussion was based on politics, rather than religion
A French journalist held prisoner by Isis has described how the ideology his captors spoke of had little to do with religion, saying they “didn’t even have the Koran.”

Didier François was held prisoner for more than 10 months by the militant group before he was released in April last year.
In an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, Mr François has described how his captors would speak to prisoners of their beliefs, but said the discussion was based on politics, rather than religion.
He said: “It was more hammering what they were believing than teaching us about the Koran. Because it has nothing to do with the Koran.
“They didn’t even have the Koran; they didn’t want even to give us a Koran.”
The comments come as Isis on Wednesday released video footage revealing the murder by burning to death of a Jordanian pilot held by the group since the end of December.

Till we run 'out of fuel and bullets': Jordan's king vows to crush ISIS

Jordan's King Abdullah, himself a former general, angrily vowed to pursue ISIS until his military runs "out of fuel and bullets," in a closed door meeting with U.S. lawmakers that followed the release Wednesday of a grisly video showing a captured Jordanian airman being burned alive in a cage by the terrorist army.

The pledge preceded the hanging of two Al Qaeda terrorists early Wednesday in Jordan, a swift response to the video that could be a mere harbinger of coming retribution from the Arab kingdom in the wake of the sadistic slaughter. King Abdullah's words were echoed by military leaders, who vowed an “earth-shaking” response, proportionate to the magnitude of the tragedy of all Jordanians.” But it was the words of their visibly shaken king, who commanded his nation's special forces before assuming the throne in 1999, that could foreshadow what is in store for the black-clad terrorist army whose atrocities have shocked the civilized world.
"He said there is going to be retribution like ISIS hasn’t seen,” said Rep. Duncan Hunter Jr., R-Calif., a Marine Corps veteran of two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan, who was in the meeting with the king. “He mentioned ‘Unforgiven’ and he mentioned Clint Eastwood, and he actually quoted a part of the movie.”
King Abdullah, who was in Washington for a diplomatic mission when the video depicting the horrific death of Lt. Muath al-Kaseasbeh hit the Internet, returned to Amman early Wednesday, after the dawn hanging of Sajida al-Rishawi, who was convicted for taking part in a 2005 triple hotel bombing that killed 60 in Amman, and Ziad al-Karbouly, an Iraqi who served as an aide to Al Qaeda in Iraq founder Abu Musab al-Zarqawi. The executions had been announced hours after the video of the death of Al-Kaseasbeh, who officiials now believe was killed as early as Jan. 3.
Ever since the pilot's capture on Dec. 24, King Abdullah had shown a personal attachment to his fate. Al-Kaseasbeh, who was from a prominent tribe in the Karak governorate and had graduated from King Hussein Air College, the academy named for Abdullah's father. The pilot's father, Safi al-Kaseasbeh, who met with King Abdullah at least twice following his son's capture, said the king told him he valued Kaseasbeh like his own son.
“The King told me that he was following up personally on Muath’s case," the grieving father told the Jordan Times. "He said Crown Prince Hussein, may God protect him, is no dearer to me than Muath.”
Jordan, a member of the U.S.-led coalition that has been striking ISIS in Syria since this past September, had previously indicated it was considering an offer from Islamic State to trade Al-Rishawi for the pilot, but reports yesterday said the pilot had been dead for a month. The ghastly video sparked outrage on the streets of Jordan, a small nation of 6 million that shares borders with Syria and Iraq, where Islamic State has carved out its so-called caliphate. King Abdullah vowed to focus his people's anger on the terrorist army.
Government spokesman Mohammad Momani said that Jordan’s response to the assassination “will be swift. Jordanians’ wrath will devastate Daesh’s ranks.”
In Jordan, Al-Kaseasbeh's capture sparked debate about whether the nation should be participating in the airstrikes against Islamic State and if an exchange of prisoners was warranted. Jordan repeatedly sought proof that the pilot was still alive, and at times expressed frustration at the lack of communication. But news the pilot had likely been dead all along sparked rage in a nation that reveres its military.
In the video, viewed by Fox News, Al-Kaseasbeh, showing signs of having been beaten and clad in an orange jumpsuit, speaks under clear duress. A narrator speaking in Arabic blasts Arab nations, including Jordan, for taking part in U.S.-led airstrikes against ISIS. The final five minutes of the video show the caged pilot, his clothing apparently doused in gasoline as the fuel is lit. His screams are audible as he collapses to his knees. After being killed, the burned man and the cage are buried by a bulldozer. The video ends with ISIS offering "100 golden Dinars" for any Muslims in Jordan who kills other Jordanian pilots, whose names, pictures and hometowns are shown.
Sources told Fox News it demonstrated the highest production values of any tape to date, suggesting it took considerable time to shoot and produce. While Fox News Channel did not air the gruesome video, FoxNews.com elected to post it in the interest of showing the shocking depths of ISIS' depravity.
“After careful consideration, we decided that giving readers of FoxNews.com the option to see for themselves the barbarity of ISIS outweighed legitimate concerns about the graphic nature of the video," said John Moody, executive vice president and executive editor of Fox News. "Online users can choose to view or not view this disturbing content."
President Obama condemned the murder of the pilot before meeting privately with the king, saying the atrocity would "redouble the vigilance and determination on the part of our global coalition to make sure they are degraded and ultimately defeated."
"It's just one more indication of the viciousness and barbarity of this organization," Obama said. "And I think it will redouble the vigilance and determination on the part of the global coalition to make sure that they are degraded and ultimately defeated.”
"Lieutenant Al-Kaseasbeh's dedication, courage and service to his country and family represent universal human values that stand in opposition to the cowardice and depravity of ISIL, which has been so broadly rejected around the globe," Obama said, using another acronym for the terror group.
Jordan faces increasing threats from the militants. Jordan borders areas of the group's self-declared caliphate in Syria and Iraq, while there are have been signs of greater support for the group's militant ideas among Jordan's young and poor.
After word spread that the pilot had been killed, dozens of people chanting slogans against the Islamic State group marched toward the royal palace to express their anger. Waving a Jordanian flag, they chanted, "Damn you, Daesh!"  -- using the Arabic acronym of the group -- and "We will avenge, we will avenge our son's blood."
"There is no religion [that] accepts such act," Amman resident Hassan Abu Ali said. "Islam is a religion of tolerance. (ISIS) have nothing to do with Islam. This is [a] criminal act."
Jordanian Army spokesman Mamdouh al-Ameri said the country would strike back hard. "Our punishment and revenge will be as huge as the loss of the Jordanians," he said.
Protesters marched in the pilot's home village of Ai and set a local government office on fire. Witnesses said the atmosphere was tense and that riot police patrolled the streets.
The pilot's father, Safi Yousef al-Kaseasbeh, was attending a tribal meeting in Amman when news of the video surfaced, and he was seen being led from the session. Other men were seen outside, overcome with emotion.
The Islamic State group has released a series of gruesome videos showing the beheading of captives, including two American journalists, an American aid worker and two British aid workers. Tuesday's was the first to show a captive being burned alive.
David L. Phillips, a former State Department adviser on the Middle East, said he believes the pilot's killing could backfire, antagonizing Sunnis against the extremists, including Sunni tribes in Iraq.
"They need to have a welcome from Sunni Arabs in Anbar Province [in Iraq] to maintain their operations," said Phillips, director of the Program on Peace-building and Human Rights at Columbia University.
He said the extremist group's recent military setbacks may have fueled the killings. "They need to compensate for that with increasingly gruesome killings of prisoners," he said.
The latest video was released three days after another video showed the purported beheading of a Japanese journalist, Kenji Goto, who was captured by the Islamic State group in October.
The militants had linked the fates of the pilot and the journalist. A second Japanese hostage was apparently killed earlier last month.
The U.N. Security Council, in a statement, condemned the "brutality of ISIL, which is responsible for thousands of crimes and abuses against people from all faiths, ethnicities and nationalities, and without regard to any basic value of humanity."
Fox News' Catherine Herridge, Nadiah Sarsour and the Associated Press contributed to this report.

Mark Levin warns: Obama preparing country for coup against Constitution
October 6, 2013
Mark Levin says Obama preparing coup against Constitution
Alex Wong/Getty Images
Earlier this week, conservative talk show host Mark Levin warned that Barack Obama is campaigning and preparing the country for what amounts to a coup against the Constitution over the debt ceiling, Breitbart.com reported Sunday.

Levin said that it's clear Obama has moved on from the shutdown and is now focused on the debt ceiling, paving the way for low-information liberals to support him as he bypasses Congress and unilaterally seizes control of the nation’s economy, Dr. Susan Berry wrote..
"Default, default, default…why is he saying that? Just to scare people?" Levin asked. "Well, that’s part of it, obviously. But, it’s more than that, ladies and gentlemen. Barack Obama is plotting, that if he can’t get what he wants out of the House Republicans, that if he can’t get his Plan A, and get Boehner and the Republicans to buckle - not just on the Continuing Resolution – but on the debt ceiling, then he’s got his Plan B."
And what, exactly is "Plan B?"
According to Levin, that plan involves Obama unilaterally raising the debt ceiling by citing the 14th Amendment.
In essence, Levin said, Obama effectively plans to "seize from Congress the power of the purse" in what he called "the most egregious attack on our Constitution by a President" in all of U.S. history.
Examiner's Anthony G. Martin said the 14th Amendment does not give Obama the authority to usurp Congress' role regarding the debt ceiling.
"Nowhere does the Amendment mandate that overall federal spending be increased at the whim of a president, or anyone else in government, not even Congress," he wrote.
Levin went further, saying that Obama is being encouraged "by Marxists dressed up as Constitutionalists, by people in his own party, he’s being encouraged to conduct himself as a dictator, and to bypass Congress and to bypass the Constitution."
"They want a full-blown Constitutional crisis. Please, listen to me, this is what they want! So they can continue to shred it!" he added.
This isn't the first time the subject has been brought up.
Last December, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi said Obama should be given dictatorial power to unilaterally raise the debt ceiling to infinity.
In July 2011, Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee, D-Texas, urged Obama to rule like a dictator on the debt ceiling. Other Democrats, like James Clyburn and former President Bill Clinton, have also suggested Obama bypass Congress and unilaterally raise the debt ceiling.
Levin went on to warn listeners of dire consequences to the nation if Obama acts unilaterally.
"So, it is he who is prepared to extort and blackmail in ways that most of you, and most of my colleagues in this business can’t even imagine, or don’t even understand," he said. "And, if the President of the United States unilaterally lifts the debt ceiling, you can kiss the core functions of Congress goodbye, you can kiss this Republic goodbye, once and for all."
Indeed, it would be the ultimate “fundamental transformation” Obama promised at the beginning of his presidency.

AL ARABIA NEWS
ISIS dares Jordan to avenge pilot’s murder
Wednesday, 4 February 2015
Dr. Theodore Karasik
The inferno that engulfed captured Jordanian pilot Lt. Moaz al-Kasasbeh is a flaming salvo at the heart of Amman. The fact that ISIS claims al-Kasasbeh had actually suffered his awful fate a month ago adds extra misery and insult given the efforts of his tribe and the Jordanian government to garner his release in exchange for extremist affiliated Sajida al-Rishawi. Now that al-Rishawi and several others have been executed in response, this terrible event raises a number of key points for the immediate future.

First, Lt. al-Kasasbeh was captured in December when his F-16 fighter crashed over northern Syria while on a mission with the U.S.-led air coalition. An Arab official told me in mid-December that a coalition air control commander ordered Lt. al-Kasasbeh to fly his jet low over the area where he was shot down in order to “test” ISIS’ air defense. Later, the coalition air control commander said that there was a miscommunication. The result, of course, was catastrophic, with Lt. al-Kasasbeh’s capture. Immediately, questions were raised if the coalition air campaign augmented by other Arab states would continue. Fearful of the potential capture of other Arab pilots, these member states adjusted their rules of engagement and some states stopped flying sorties. Now with Lt. al-Kasasbeh’s death, Operation Inherent Resolve will face additional political pressures.
"Any Jordanian military operation on the ground will be fierce and well-armed, and now more highly motivated than ever before"
Dr. Theodore Karasik
Second, ISIS knows exactly how the slick 20-plus minute video of Lt. al-Kasasbeh’s death would play in the Dabiq Epic. The Dabiq Epic is in reference to ISIS’ apocalyptic story and vision of drawing in the crusaders for the final battle to be centered in the Syrian town of the same name. Given that ISIS sees Jordan as the frontline of the Crusader’s border with the use of Jordanian territory for airstrikes on the so-called Islamic State, ISIS now, from their point of view, want the Jordanian armed forces to strike them. ISIS is arguing that Jordan is a crusader state. In the wake of the official announcement of Lt. al-Kasasbeh’s death, ISIS published the names of Jordanian pilots and asked its operatives to hunt these pilots down “for a gold prize.” It is as if a bully is picking a fight on a playground: it’s a sick joke that will backfire on ISIS.

The tribal equation
Third is the tribal equation. Lt. al-Kasasbeh hailed from the Barasheh tribe in southern Jordan. The Barasheh tribe is part of the backbone, if you will, of the Jordanian monarchy especially the Jordanian armed forces. As the crisis over Lt. al-Kasasbeh unfolded, tribal elders tried to negotiate with ISIS for his release in a prisoner swap noted above. But the discussions were all a folly. ISIS used the Jordanian tribes similar to how they have abused Iraqi tribes. This fact makes matters worse because the Barsasheh tribe now will want revenge, and rightfully so. What comes next is very likely what has been discussed privately: A Jordanian military operation against ISIS in Syrian territory. Clearly, Lt. al-Kasasbeh’s martyrdom status is likely to launch exactly what ISIS wants from the Hashemite Kingdom. Jordan’s military and special operation forces, who are made up of key tribes, are likely to be unleashed to track down and eliminate ISIS on Syrian territory.

Any Jordanian military operation on the ground will be fierce and well-armed, and now, more highly motivated than ever before. As I noted in a column last year, 10,000-12,000 SOF will be used hunt down Lt. al-Kasasbeh’s killers and their associates. Jordan may well be “the tip of the spear” for a ground campaign by other coalition partners. As we know, Amman’s SOF is world renowned with almost 30,000 SOF warriors augmented with enhanced training at the King Abdullah Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC). Force 71 will be used as well and their furiousness is legendary. Also possibly coming into play will be Jordan’s counter-terrorism and intelligence relationship with Chechnya and Russia who also have a vested interest in tearing apart ISIS. Of course, any Jordanian ground operation will be augmented by the Hashemite Kingdom’s own air force with coalition assistance. Indeed, this event, if it comes to fruition, may be the final battle for ISIS in Syria.
Overall, we may have just turned a corner in the battle against ISIS. ISIS is continuing its push south using hybrid warfare to achieve its goals through grizzly executions and social media warfare. The terrorist proto-state has supporters popping up in a number of key states who are part of the coalition. In this particular case, ISIS seeks to antagonize Jordan into rushing into battle on the ground where the extremist group will fight in all their deviant glory. But ISIS is playing with fire: it is now engaging a state actor with well-trained soldiers who will have blood lust. They are all Lt. al-Kasasbeh.
