Why might people believe that Scriptural promises/warnings about the "end of days" be close at hand? What will be some of the precursors to Jesus' return? Consider the following:

1.The growth of the Christian church. "And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come" (Matt. 24:14).
2.Increase in evil. "Iniquity will abound" (Matt. 24:12). The Bible predicts that in the last days there will be much hedonism (pursuit of pleasure as the highest good) and relativism (everyone makes their own "truth" for themselves).
3.Increase in false prophets (see Matt. 24:4, 24). The apostle Peter warned against false teachers in the end times (1 Pet. 2:1; see also Jude 17-18). The Bible warns that in the end times people would forsake salvation in Christ for various types of occultism. Demonically inspired false religions would proliferate (see also Matt. 24:5; Mark 13:6).
4.The land of Israel. "And I will bring you out from the peoples and will gather you out of the countries in which you are scattered" (Ezek. 20:34a; see also 37:1-14). Though the Jewish people were without a homeland for 1,878 years, Isaiah 43:5-6 says that in the last days, "I will bring your descendants from the east, and gather you from the west."
5.Conflict in the Middle East. In the end times there will be, "Wars and rumors of wars" (Matt. 24:6-7). Ezekiel 38:1-6 predicts an invasion of Israel in the last days. Though written around 597 B.C., the prophet Ezekiel assumes that Israel is in their land when armies attack in the "latter days."6..The increasingly 6.The increasingly godless world system. The Revelation (the final book in the Bible, penned by the apostle John, 95-96 A.D.) depicts a coming era in which many facets of society will be organized around a centralized, unified entity. There will be a one-world economy (Rev. 13:16-17), a one-world government (see Rev. 13:8, 17:1-18), and a one-world religion (Rev. 13:8-12).
7.Increase of apostasy within the church. We preachers often point out problems in the world; let me also admit that there are pockets of sin embedded within the ranks of the church. One of the signs of the end times relates to a Greek word that means, "rebellion" and "revolt." It is the word apostasy, and its meaning is somewhat akin to the word "riot"—a free-for-all.
The Bible says that near the end of history many preachers will not preach the Scriptures, but will preach lies. Appealing lies and flattering lies, mind you, but words that people want to hear and not truth that will convert their soul. Having spent over 30 years of all types of church work, let me say this: We are in an era of serious theological apostasy (1 Tim. 4:1-2; 2 Tim. 4:3-4; 2 Thess. 2:3).

8.The "wiring of the planet." The book of Revelation describes several scenarios that people of previous generations found hard to believe. In fact, skeptics used to scoff at the idea that there could be a one-world money system, apart from which no one could buy or sell (Rev. 13:17). Skeptics mocked the idea that events happening in Israel could somehow be watched by the whole world at once (Rev. 11:3-12, 18:9-20). We live in a world of real-time video streaming, cyber currency, digital footprints we're all constantly creating, low-level surveillance drones ubiquitously watching, instabilities among all sectors of the world, and the rise of influential leaders calling for socialism and global unification. The events in Revelation—fantastic as they may sound—are not only possible, but likely.
The rise of Islam. The Bible predicted that the "children of Ishmael" would struggle against "the children of 9.Isaac" throughout history (Gen. 16:12, 25:18). Aggression toward the Jews by Ishmael's descendants existed for centuries. But in 622 A.D., the founding of Islam would escalate this hostility immeasurably. Past political leaders (such as Churchill) and religious leaders (such as the Reformers) believed that near the end of history there would be an uprising of "Mohammedism." Much speculation has been raised about the 200 million soldiers predicted to assemble for the battle of Armageddon (Zech. 14:1-4, Rev. 9:16-17). What worldview could summon many followers of a warrior spirit who desire the extermination of both Jews and followers of Jesus? Read The Clash of Civilizations by eminent scholar Samuel Huntington for a likely answer.
10A major outpouring of God's Holy Spirit, just prior to the rapture of the church. The Scriptures speak of a great move of God before the final judgment of history (Joel 2:28-32, Zech. 12:10-13:1). COVID-19 is prominent in the news but spreading even faster than that life-threatening virus is the life-giving message of Christ. And the ranks of believers seem to grow fastest in the regions of intense persecution. We may not see this so much in America and Europe, but in much of the rest of the world Christianity is growing exponentially. As the world battles COVID-19, it may ignite one more great revival of Christianity—and this may comprise the West's final visitation of the Holy Spirit, before Christ's return.
A word of reassurance: God makes it possible for all people to be prepared. Spending that evening in the Jerusalem police station, something occurred to me: The station was certainly in an interesting location, with the "Garden Tomb" only one street across, and the "Golden Gate" entry point into Jerusalem's "old city" just across another. I remember waiting in the lobby, noting that the main window was partially shattered as if a brick had once been thrown at it. And yet, only a few feet from that precinct office was the empty tomb of the man who once told the populace, "Blessed are the peacemakers."

But here was my realization: My group and I were frantically working to get new passports—tickets "home." Jerusalem also is the city where purchase was made for another kind of "passport." On a skull-shaped hill outside of Jerusalem, Jesus was crucified to purchase sufficient documentation into heaven for anyone who wants it. One Israeli official helped us get passports for home; yet another made it possible to get a passport for heaven.

"Is Jesus really coming back to earth? Literally? And soon?" Let me say what I tell the people repeatedly asking this in recent weeks: I absolutely believe that the answer is, "Yes." Three decades of research, writing and following world events convince me that this is so. But no one needs to be obsessively afraid regarding the end of time—if they've accepted Christ's gracious offer of forgiveness and amnesty before God.

If you've spurned God, or if you think sin and eternity are some kind of joke, then I humbly suggest that you've got more to fear than you could possibly realize. But to "whosoever will come," Jesus promised a peace beyond anything this world can offer (John 14:27). This is why this One who is coming back to earth could assure us, "Let not your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid."

LAFAYETTE, Louisiana, November 27, 2018 (LifeSiteNews) – Drag queens are deliberately "grooming" the next generation to accept LGBT ideology when they read to children in public libraries at drag queen “story hour” events, a U.S. drag queen admitted. 

Dylan Pontiff, a drag queen who helped organize one of these story hour events for children as young as three at the Lafayette Public Library in early October, is shown in a video making that shocking admission to the Lafayette City-Parish Council in Louisiana during a Sept. 17 meeting.

"This is going to be the grooming of the next generation. We are trying to groom the next generation," said Pontiff, who when dressed in drag goes by the name Santana Pilar Andrews.

Pontiff said that as a drag queen he has performed in shows for adults that he compared to an R-rated film. He argued that he should be able to have access to children because, as an adult, he knows how to “filter” himself and make his content PG-rated. 

“I can go in and entertain adults in a club and also entertain a group of students and young children. I’m able to do that because I’m an adult and able to filter myself,” he said.

Citizens of that community in Louisiana shook their heads in bewilderment behind Pontiff as he made these comment.

"Unfortunately, the Drag Queen Story Hour program is turning public libraries into platforms to advance the transgender revolution, places where pro-homosexual activists are given access to children as young as three," said John Ritchie, director of TFP Student Action, in an interview. 

"Instead of protecting the precious innocence of our children with wholesome stories, libraries are misusing our tax-dollars to harm their innocence," he said. "To attempt to dismantle and destroy the distinction between male and female is not only biologically ridiculous, but also a direct attack against God's plan for us and for the family.  Everyone who loves the family should wake up, pray and push back."

The public meeting by the Lafayette City-Parish Council in September was to consider a motion to denounce the drag queen story hour proposed for the local library on October 6 as not being age-appropriate.

The motion, derided as "hateful" and "discriminatory" by its opponents, would not have been binding on the public library. But it never got that far. The majority of the Lafayette City-Parish Council declined to vote on it, effectively scuttling the motion.  

Leslie Alexander, a member of the community, said that the library should not have approved the drag queen story hour event without consulting the public.

“This is not about tolerance or anti-bullying,” she told the Lafayette Daily Advertiser. “It is a direct and intentional effort to create gender confusion and doubt among very young children at the very time they need solid guidance and understanding. The intent is to plant a seed to make children more likely to question their sexuality or gender at a later age."

According to Ritchie, the seeds of this indoctrination of young children in public libraries was sown when marriage was legally re-defined.

"When homosexual 'marriage' was legalized back in 2015, the naive told us not to worry because the decision would never affect us," said Ritchie. "Marriage is just a word, they said. But for those who understand history, the redefinition of true marriage by the U.S. Supreme Court contained a string of ugly consequences." 

"What was unthinkable yesterday is tolerated today: Transgender drag performers are allowed to explicitly target children in public buildings," he said. 

A number of LGBT activists have highlighted in recent years that the movement’s goal is to “indoctrinate” children into accepting the normalcy of the LGBT agenda.

“I am here to tell you: All that time I said I wasn't indoctrinating anyone with my beliefs about gay and lesbian and bi and trans and queer people? That was a lie,” wrote Canadian gay activist Sason Bear Bergman, a woman who identifies as a transgender man, in a March 2015 piece titled “I Have Come to Indoctrinate Your Children Into My LGBTQ Agenda (And I'm Not a Bit Sorry).” Bergman holds nothing back, stating she wants to make children “like us” even if that “goes against the way you have interpreted the teachings of your religion.”

In 2011 U.S. gay activist Daniel Villarreal penned a column for Queerty.com stating that the time had come for the homosexual lobby to admit to “indoctrinating” schoolchildren to accept homosexuality.

“Why would we push anti-bullying programs or social studies classes that teach kids about the historical contributions of famous queers unless we wanted to deliberately educate children to accept queer sexuality as normal?”

“We want educators to teach future generations of children to accept queer sexuality. In fact, our very future depends on it. Recruiting children? You bet we are,” he added.

Homosexual activist Michael Swift wrote in 1987 in the Gay Community News that school children would become explicit targets for homosexual indoctrination. “We shall seduce them in your schools…They will be recast in our image. They will come to crave and adore us,” he wrote at the time.

As Christian counselors, pastors and people helpers we often have a hard time discerning between an evil heart and an ordinary sinner who messes up, who isn’t perfect, and full of weakness and sin.

I think one of the reasons we don’t “see” evil is because we find it so difficult to believe that evil individuals actually exist. We can’t imagine someone deceiving us with no conscience, hurting others with no remorse, spinning outrageous fabrications to ruin someone’s reputation, or pretending he or she is spiritually committed yet has no fear of God before his or her eyes.

The Bible clearly tells us that among God’s people there are wolves that wear sheep’s clothing (Jeremiah 23:14; Titus 1:10; Revelations 2:2). It’s true that every human heart is inclined toward sin (Romans 3:23), and that includes evil (Genesis 8:21; James 1:4). We all miss God’ mark of moral perfection. However, most ordinary sinners do not happily indulge evil urges, nor do we feel good about having them. We feel ashamed and guilty, rightly so (Romans 7:19–21). These things are not true of the evil heart.

Here are five indicators that you may be dealing with an evil heart rather than an ordinary sinful heart. If so, it requires a radically different treatment approach.

1. Evil hearts are experts at creating confusion and contention.
They twist the facts, mislead, lie, avoid taking responsibility, deny reality, make up stories, and withhold information. (Psalms 5:8; 10:7; 58:3; 109:2–5; 140:2; Proverbs 6:13,14; 6:18,19; 12:13; 16:20; 16:27, 28; 30:14; Job 15:35; Jeremiah 18:18; Nehemiah 6:8; Micah 2:1; Matthew 12:34,35; Acts 6:11–13; 2 Peter 3:16)


2. Evil hearts are experts at fooling others with their smooth speech and flattering words.
But if you look at the fruit of their lives or the follow through of their words, you will find no real evidence of godly growth or change. It’s all smoke and mirrors. (Psalms 50:19; 52:2,3; 57:4; 59:7; 101:7; Proverbs 12:5; 26:23–26; 26:28; Job 20:12; Jeremiah 12:6; Matthew 26:59; Acts 6:11–13; Romans 16:17,18; 2 Corinthians 11:13,14; 2 Timothy 3:2–5; 3:13; Titus 1:10,16).


3. Evil hearts crave and demand control, and their highest authority is their own self-reference.
They reject feedback, real accountability, and make up their own rules to live by. They use Scripture to their own advantage but ignore and reject passages that might require self-correction and repentance. (Romans 2:8; Psalms 10; 36:1–4; 50:16–22; 54:5,6; 73:6–9; Proverbs 21:24; Jude 1:8–16).

4. Evil hearts play on the sympathies of good-willed people, often trumping the grace card.
They demand mercy but give none themselves. They demand warmth, forgiveness, and intimacy from those they have harmed with no empathy for the pain they have caused and no real intention of making amends or working hard to rebuild broken trust. (Proverbs 21:10; 1 Peter 2:16; Jude 1:4).


5. Evil hearts have no conscience, no remorse.
They do not struggle against sin or evil—they delight in it—all the while masquerading as someone of noble character. (Proverbs 2:14–15; 10:23; 12:10; 21:27,29; Isaiah 32:6; Romans 1:30; 2 Corinthians 11:13–15)

Do you know someone like this?
If you are working with someone who exhibits these characteristics, it’s important that you confront them head on. You must name evil for what it is. The longer you try to reason with them or show mercy towards them, the more you, as the Christian counselor, will become a pawn in his or her game.

1. Their horrible actions should have no serious or painful consequences.
When they say “I’m sorry,” they look to you as the pastor or Christian counselor to be their advocate for amnesty with the person he or she has harmed. They believe grace means they are immediately granted immunity from the relational fallout of their serious sin. They believe forgiveness entitles them to full reconciliation and will pressure you and their victim to comply.

The Bible warns us saying, “But when grace is shown to the wicked, they do not learn righteousness; even in a land of uprightness they go on doing evil and do not regard the majesty of the Lord (Isaiah 26:10). 
The Bible tells us that talking doesn’t wake up evil people, but painful consequences might. Jesus didn’t wake up the Pharisee’s with his talk nor did God’s counsel impact Cain (Genesis 4). In addition, the Bible shows us that when someone is truly sorry for the pain they have caused, he or she is eager to make amends to those they have harmed by their sin (see Zacchaeus’ response when he repented of his greed in Luke 19). 

Tim Keller writes,
“If you have been the victim of a heinous crime. If you have suffered violence, and the perpetrator (or even the judge) says, ‘Sorry, can’t we just let it go?’ You would say, ‘No, that would be an injustice.’ Your refusal would rightly have nothing to do with bitterness or vengeance. If you have been badly wronged, you know that saying sorry is never enough. Something else is required—some kind of costly payment must be made to put things right.”1

As Biblical counselors let’s not collude with the evil one by turning our attention to the victim, requiring her to forgive, to forget, to trust again when there has been no evidence of inner change. Proverbs says, “Trusting in a treacherous man in time of trouble is like a bad tooth or a foot that slips” (Proverbs. 25:19). It’s foolishness.

2. That if I talk like a gospel-believing Christian I am one, even if my actions don’t line up with my talk.
Remember, Satan masquerades as an angel of light (2 Corinthians 11:13–15). He knows more true doctrine than you or I will ever know, but his heart is wicked. Why? Because although he knows the truth, he does not believe it or live it.

The Bible has some strong words for those whose actions do not match their talk (1 John 3:17,18; Jeremiah 7:8,10; James 1:22, 26). John the Baptist said it best when he admonished the religious leaders, “Prove by the way you live that you have repented of your sins and turned to God” (Luke 3:8).

If week after week you hear the talk but there is no change in the walk, you have every reason to question someone’s relationship with God.


Can an evil person really change?
Part of our maturity as spiritual leaders is that we have been trained to discern between good and evil. Why is that so important? It’s important because evil usually pretends to be good, and without discernment we can be easily fooled (Hebrews 5:14).

When you confront evil, chances are good that the evil heart will stop counseling with you because the darkness hates the light (John 3:20) and the foolish and evil heart reject correction (Proverbs 9:7,8). But that outcome is far better than allowing the evil heart to believe you are on his or her side, or that “he’s not that bad” or “that he’s really sorry” or “that he’s changing” when, in fact, he is not.

Daniel says, “[T]he wicked will continue to be wicked” (Daniel 12:10), which begs the question, do you think an evil person can really change?

Pope Francis Endorses Essay Trashing U.S. Conservative Christians

ROME — Pope Francis has publicly endorsed an essay that appeared in 2017 criticizing relations between Evangelicals and Catholics in the United States as an “ecumenism of hate.”
On Thursday, La Civiltà Cattolica journal released the transcript of a meeting between Pope Francis and a group of 24 Jesuits on September 5, 2019, during his recent trip to Mozambique in which the pope suggested that certain Evangelical Protestants in the United States “cannot really be defined as Christian.”

“Two important articles in Civiltà Cattolica have been published in this regard. I recommend them to you. They were written by Father Spadaro and the Argentinean Presbyterian pastor, Marcelo Figueroa. The first article spoke of the ‘ecumenism of hatred.’ The second was on the ‘theology of prosperity,’” the pontiff said.


“Reading them you will see that there are sects that cannot really be defined as Christian. They preach Christ, yes, but their message is not Christian,” the pope said. “It has nothing to do with the preaching of a Lutheran or any other serious evangelical Christianity.”

In the first essay recommended by the pope, the authors, who are both friends of Francis, slammed conservative Christians in the U.S. as ignorant, theocratic, Manichean, war-mongering fanatics.

For the “Evangelical right,” the authors proposed, the panorama of threats to the American way of life “have included modernist spirits, the black civil rights movement, the hippy movement, communism, feminist movements and so on. And now in our day there are the migrants and the Muslims.”

The authors did not hesitate to suggest that many Evangelicals are southern racists who reject climate change.

“Another interesting aspect is the relationship with creation of these religious groups that are composed mainly of whites from the deep American South,” the article stated. “There is a sort of ‘anesthetic’ with regard to ecological disasters and problems generated by climate change. They profess ‘dominionism’ and consider ecologists as people who are against the Christian faith.”

Throughout the essay, the authors criticize a string of exclusively Republican presidents as being tainted by the teachings of Evangelical Protestantism. The list of those mentioned includes Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan, George W. Bush, and, of course, Donald Trump.

One of the most serious evils of American Evangelical Christians, the article stated, is “the defense of religious liberty,’” which takes the form of “a direct virtual challenge to the secularity of the state.”

The authors went on to denounce the ecumenical alliance between conservative Catholics and Evangelical Christians who align behind certain moral issues in the public square.

“Some who profess themselves to be Catholic express themselves in ways that until recently were unknown in their tradition and using tones much closer to Evangelicals. They are defined as value voters as far as attracting electoral mass support is concerned,” the article asserted.

This poisonous alliance over shared objectives “happens around such themes as abortion, same-sex marriage, religious education in schools and other matters generally considered moral or tied to values,” the essay claimed, which unite Catholics and Evangelicals in “the nostalgic dream of a theocratic type of state.”

At the time of its publication, the article triggered an avalanche of critical responses denouncing the ignorance and political ill-will underlying the essay.

Philadelphia Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, for instance, wrote a sharp criticism of the essay, saying that the authors were guilty of “dumbing down and inadequately presenting the nature of Catholic/evangelical cooperation on religious freedom and other key issues.”

“Dismissing today’s attacks on religious liberty as a ‘narrative of fear,’” as the La Civiltà Cattolica article does, Chaput said, “sounds willfully ignorant.”

In his critique of the article, Dr. Samuel Gregg called the article “disturbing,” while lamenting the tacit anti-Americanism and “distinctly amateur grasp of American religious history.”

As Dr. Gregg noted, to describe “Marxism-Leninism, Islamist jihadism, or National Socialism” as evil is not evidence of a Manichaean worldview. “It is simply recognition that some ideas are indeed wicked and lead to many people, even nations, engaging in gravely evil acts.”

Moreover, Gregg wrote, if one looks at statements put together by various scholars and intellectuals involved in movements such as Evangelicals and Catholics Together, “they contain not a shred of theocratic aspiration.”

“The ecumenical discussion between those involved in these endeavors have led over time to genuine fruit in terms of clarification of points in common, removing misconceptions, identifying real doctrinal road-blocks, and identifying areas where practical work to promote the common good can be pursued together,” Gregg observed.

It is not a theocratic nostalgia that leads Evangelical and Catholic Christians in America to make the argument that “unborn human beings are entitled to the same protections from the unjust use of lethal force as any other human being, or that religious liberty is more than just freedom of worship, or that parents are entitled to insist that their children not be subjected to the nonsense of ‘gender theory’ at school,” Gregg added.

The published criticisms of the original article by serious scholars, both Christian and secular, ended up being so numerous they could fill a book. The article was eventually dismissed as simply an embarrassing attempt at political propaganda by overly zealous Italian and Argentinian clerics who were completely out of their depth.

Which could lead one to wonder what Pope Francis could possibly be thinking when he dredges up this ill-begotten essay out of the swamp of oblivion to recommend it as a useful aid for understanding America’s complex religious landscape.

 What Is a Cult? The 6 Telltale Signs to Look For
"I know that after my departure, savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock; and from among your own selves men will arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them" (Acts 20:29-30).


Paul is speaking to the early church—and to us—about cults. They will and have come. They existed then and now. If we’re not extremely careful, they can draw us away from the truth.


One quick note before we begin. The term “cult,” as expressed in the English language, can be used in both secular and religious settings. For example, “the singer's cult of fans” or “the film has a cult following.”


Today, we will work with religious cults, defined by Dictionary.com as “great veneration of a person, ideal, or thing, especially as manifested by a body of admirers; a religion or sect considered to be false, unorthodox, or extremist, with members often living outside of conventional society under the direction of a charismatic leader.”


The following characteristics will help us define and recognize the nature of a cult. 


First, the most dastardly, insidious mark of a cult is that it ignores or distorts the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
To one degree or another, all cults deny the deity of Jesus Christ. Their teachings and principles will eventually leave a person unsaved, without a relationship with Jesus Christ, and spending eternity in hell.




The Bible teaches that faith in Christ, plus nothing else, equals salvation. Ephesians 2:8-9 reads, “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast.”


The three most obvious cults today are Jehovah’s Witnesses, the Watchtower Society, and Mormons. All three put good works in the place of “nothing else," suggesting the redeeming work of Jesus is not sufficient by itself. Faith plus anything else is heresy.


This characteristic of cults is so significant that Paul literally pronounces a curse as he shares his displeasure and outright anger at these false prophets who minimize, distort, or change the gospel:


“I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; ... But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed” (Galatians 1:6-9).


Please note that the word Paul used for “curse” is the strongest word for cursing in the Greek language. Technically, it dooms the one who is cursed to the darkest, deepest, most horrible fate imaginable.


Second, most cults are led by a dynamic, charismatic leader who eventually controls and manipulates his or her followers.
Jim Jones was a psychopathic, manipulative, controlling, and insidious leader. He founded the People’s Temple in Indiana during the 1950s. Jim began moving to different cities, gaining followers at each one. In the mid-1970s, he relocated all of his followers to Guyana on the northwest coast of South America.


Then in 1978, rumors began to circulate, alleging that human rights abuses were occurring in the People’s Temple. United States Congressman Leo Ryan went to investigate. Ryan and several defectors were murdered by gunfire while boarding a return flight home. Shortly thereafter Jones led all of his 918 followers—including 304 children—to commit suicide by drinking Kool-Aid spiked with cyanide.




Jones was a brash overlord who enslaved his followers… ultimately leading to their deaths.


In contrast, true Christian leaders are humble. Jesus described himself as "meek and lowly in heart" (Matthew 11:29).


Paul mentored Timothy as a pastor and church leader in two of his letters. In 1 Timothy 3:1-4, Paul described a godly leader: 


“Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full respect.”


Third, surprisingly, most cult leaders grew up in a Christian environment.
Sun Myung Moon, founder of the Unification Church, grew up in a Presbyterian home. Jim Jones attended a Nazarene church; later he pastored a Disciples of Christ congregation before founding the People’s Temple. Moses David (David Berg), founder of the Children of God, is the son of evangelical parents and served as a minister in a Christian and Missionary Alliance church. Mary Baker Patterson Glover Eddy, founder of the Christian Scientists, and Charles Taze Russell, founder of the Jehovah's Witnesses, were both raised in Christian homes and churches.


Obviously, there are many reasons why cult leaders turn from Christianity. I would guess that some imagined hearing a voice from God telling them that they were divinely inspired to begin something new. Some were deceived by demonic promptings. Others were arrogant con men and con women who knew just enough Bible to get everything confused. Many were arrogant, grandiose people whose pride led them to destruction.


Fourth, cult leaders tend to ignore, confuse, add to, and/or demean the Bible’s teachings.
It is easy to trap Christians when cultists speak Christian language. This is why churches need to teach the Bible early and definitively. This is why new Christians need mentors.


Occasionally, the media draws our attention to a leader who counts up biblical numbers and is convinced that he or she knows the date of Christ’s Second Coming.




I recall one such group in southern Arizona that I identified as a “Second Coming Cult.” This particular cult leader went to the Bible, added up some dates, and declared that he had figured out the exact time and day of our Lord’s return (never mind Matthew 24:36).


Cults like his spring up occasionally. He convinced his followers to sell all their possessions because they would no longer need them after Christ’s return.


Jesus didn’t return on his time. The cult dissipated quickly. Most had nothing to show for it except some clothes in a closet.           


Like all cult leaders, this man demeaned the truth of the Scriptures. Jesus said that only God the Father knows the day and time of his return.


Fifth, cults use devious methods to trap, deceive, and control their followers.
In an article entitled "The Power Abusers," Ronald Enroth demonstrates some of the tools used by cults to control their members:


Behavior Control: An individual’s associations, living arrangements, food, clothing, sleeping habits, finances, etc., are strictly controlled
Information Control: Cult leaders deliberately withhold or distort information, lie, propagandize, and limit access to other sources of information
Thought Control: Cult leaders use loaded words and language, discourage critical thinking, bar any speech critical of cult leaders or policies, and teach an “us vs. everyone else” doctrine
Emotional Control: Leaders manipulate their followers via fear (including the fear of losing salvation, and the fear of being shunned, etc.)
Personally, I know of one freshman college student who fell into a cult led by a man named Brother David. She had been to church all of her life but became entrapped by both his teachings and personal guidance.


She writes: “Brother David (not his real name) pastored a wildly demonstrative congregation, and people prophesied over me twice a week. I didn't need to listen to God anymore; my fellow followers told me exactly what to do (and what not to do). I had this gnawing feeling growing deep inside that God was mad at me all of the time. I felt that I had disappointed Jesus if I were not fasting and reading the Bible constantly. I withdrew from friends and family, dismissing them as carnal and deceived.”




Fasting at his suggestion, she reached 89 pounds before her parents and boyfriend succeeded in wrenching her free. Unfortunately, she was kind enough to tell Brother David why she was leaving. He told her that she could go to hell.




Others are looking for a new or deeper spiritual experience. They listen to an attractive personality and admire their reputation for superior godliness.


Still, others are attracted to authoritarian movements that offer black and white, clear-cut answers or systematic approaches to life's problems.


Some crave a message that seems to support their own beliefs and desires.


Many lived through a church split and were hurt and disillusioned. They swore never to return. Then, they were exposed to a cult that seemed fresh and new. They were ripe for conversion.


Paul calls out all of these motives in 2 Timothy 4:3-4:


“For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but wanting to have their ears tickled, they will accumulate for themselves teachers in accordance to their own desires; and will turn away their ears from the truth, and will turn aside to myths.”


One other group is especially vulnerable: young Christians who get confused about the truth.


“Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming” (Ephesians 4:14).


How to Avoid being Seduced by Cult Leaders and Teachings 
1. Study Scripture in order to know true doctrine and biblical teaching.


“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” (2 Timothy 3:16).


2. Don't forget or ignore what you've already learned.


“Peter, knowing that his days were numbered, reminded his readers of those truths which they had already learned.” (2 Peter 1:12-13)




3. Develop a consistent and committed walk with Christ. Grow up!


“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him.” (Colossians 2:6)


4. Consciously pray and practice the filling of the Holy Spirit.


"Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit” (Ephesians 5:18).


5. Before leaving the house in the morning, put on the spiritual armor of Ephesians 6:10-18.


“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes... the belt of truth... the breastplate of righteousness... the shoes out the gospel of peace... the shield of faith… the helmet of salvation... the sword of the Spirit... and pray in the spirit...”


6. Use James 4:7 as needed for spiritual warfare.


“Submit to God; resist the devil; and he will flee from you.”


How to Help Deprogram Someone Out of a Cult  
-We must recognize the power of prayer and our dependence on the Holy Spirit for healing.


-Since damage was done in a relational context, healing must also take place in a healthy, safe relationship.


-Use the Scriptures and take time to help the individual identify their cult’s particular biblical distortions in a safe setting.


-Avoid criticizing, confrontation and arguing.


-As often as possible, give them an infusion of truth about who God is and how He sees us.


-As they emerge to freedom, connect them with a healthy church.

Iowa Farmer Confronts Warren on Green New Deal’s Intent to Eliminate Cows

An Iowa farmer confronted Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) over her support of the Green New Deal, explaining that he takes issue with the plan’s intent to eliminate cows, to which Warren replied with a hesitant, “Eh.”
The GOP War Room published a video Thursday, showing an Iowa farmer having a discussion with the presidential hopeful and explaining why he disagrees with the Green New Deal’s outline, which laments the existence of cows.

“You know, the Green New Deal says we need to get rid of cows,” he said, with Warren letting out an audible, “Eh.”

He continued:

I don’t agree with that because well-managed grassland where you rotationally graze – you know all these paddocks like that system there has about eight different paddocks – you’re actually going to use more CO2 and sequester more carbon because of the regrowth all the time, and yet you know that’s a permanent pasture.

Warren did not say anything during the farmer’s explanation, nodding her head and adding an occasional “uh-huh.” It seems the farmer was focusing on cows from a land management standpoint, while the Green New Deal’s outline specifically takes aim at the biological reality of cow flatulence and the impact that has on the environment.

A Q&A portion of the Green New Deal’s outline states:

We set a goal to get to net-zero, rather than zero emissions, in 10 years because we aren’t sure that we’ll be able to fully get rid of farting cows and airplanes that fast, but we think we can ramp up renewable manufacturing and power production, retrofit every building in America, build the smart grid, overhaul transportation and agriculture, plant lots of trees and restore our ecosystem to get to net-zero.

“My point is we have become so ignorant of the basic principles of biology in food production that we have said – we answer them all through technology instead of letting mother earth and having respect,” the farmer added:

The video follows the rollout of Warren’s plan to invest in rural America, which involves a “’full out effort’ to decarbonize agriculture,” according to Politico.

As Politico reported:

Warren, who endorses the Green New Deal’s goal of reaching net-zero emissions by 2030, calls for a “full out effort” to decarbonize agriculture. She would pour $15 billion each year into a USDA program that pays farmers to adopt conservation practices.

In order to create more opportunities for small, beginning and minority farmers, Warren proposed expanding access to credit, as well as creating a $1 billion “Farm to People” program so federally funded institutions like military bases and hospitals can source food from local producers.

The senator did not detail how she would pay for these initiatives, however.

Given Warren’s hesitancy to the farmer’s remark – on the Green New Deal’s desire to eliminate cows – it remains unclear if the Massachusetts lawmaker truly believes that the U.S. needs to reduce the number of cows in order to address what the left claims is the impending climate crisis.

On July 4th, 1954 evangelist A.A. Allen had an extraordinary vision which we are still talking about to this day.  The vision is quite long, but near the end of the vision he was shown that one day America would be destroyed by missiles coming out of the ocean.  It is important to note that the very first submarine capable of carrying nuclear missiles was not even built until 1959.  So what A.A. Allen saw had not even been invented yet when he saw it. The following is the full text of his vision…

(Harvest NETwork) As I stood atop the Empire State Building, I could see the Statue of Liberty, illuminating the gateway to the new world.  Here, spread before me like an animated map, is an area sixty or eighty miles in diameter. I was amazed that the Spirit of the Lord should so move me, there atop the Empire State Building.  Why should I feel such a surge of His Spirit and power there?

Suddenly I heard the voice of the Lord.  It was as clear and as distinct as a voice could be. It seemed to come from the very midst of the giant telescope.  But when I looked at the telescope, I knew it hadn’t come from there, but directly from heaven.  The voice said, “The eyes of the lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.  Herein you have done foolishly. Therefore, from henceforth, you shall have wars.”

Immediately when I heard the voice of God, I knew this was a quotation of Scripture.  But never before had a thing come to me so forcibly by the power of the Spirit. The ticking of the telescope stopped. The man before me had used up his dimes worth.  As he stepped away I knew that I was next.  As I stepped to the telescope and dropped in my dime, immediately the ticking started again.  This ticking was an automatic clock which would allow me to use the telescope for a definitely limited time only.

As I swung the telescope to the North, suddenly the Spirit of God came upon me in a way that I had never thought of before.  Seemingly in the spirit I was entirely caught away.  I knew that the telescope itself had nothing to do with the distance which I was suddenly enabled to see, for I seemed to see things far beyond the range of the telescope, even on a bright clear day.  It was simply that God had chosen this time to reveal these things to me, for as I looked through the telescope, it was not Manhattan Island that I saw, but a far larger view. That morning, much of the view was impaired by fog. But suddenly as the Spirit of the Lord came upon me the fog seemed to clear, until it seemed that I could see for thousands of miles.

But that which I was looking upon was not Manhattan island, it was all of the North American Continent spread out before me as a map is spread upon a table, it was not the East River and the Hudson River that I saw on either side, but the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans.And instead of the Statue of Liberty standing there in the bay on her small island I saw her standing far out in the Gulf of Mexico. She was between me and the United States.

I suddenly realized that the telescope had nothing to do with what I was seeing, but that it was a vision coming directly from God. And to prove this to myself I took my eyes away from the telescope, so that I was no longer looking through the lens, but the same scene remained before me.

There, clear and distinct, lay all the North American Continent, with all it’s great cities. To the North lay the Great Lakes. Far to the Northeast was New York City. I could see Seattle and Portland far to the Northwest. Down the West Coast, there were San Francisco and Los Angeles. Closer in the foreground, there lay New Orleans, at the center of the Gulf Coast area. I could see the great towering ranges of the Rocky Mountains, and trace with my eye the Continental Divide. All this and more, I could see spread out before me as a great map upon a table.

And as l looked, suddenly from the sky I saw a giant hand reach down. That gigantic hand was reaching out toward the Statue of Liberty. In a moment her gleaming torch was torn from her hand, and in it instead was placed a cup. And I saw protruding from that great cup, a giant sword, shining as if a great light had been turned upon its glistening edge. Never before had I seen such a sharp, glistening, dangerous sword. lt seemed to threaten all the world. As the great cup was placed in the hand of the Statue of Liberty, I heard these words, “Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Drink ye and be drunken, spue and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send”  As I heard these words, I recognized them as a quotation from Jeremiah 25:7.

I was amazed to hear the Statue of Liberty speak out in reply, “I WILL NOT DRINK!” Then as the voice of the thunder, I heard again the voice of the Lord, saying, “Thus saith the Lord of Hosts, YE SHALL CERTAINLY DRINK.” (Jer.25:28)  Then suddenly the giant hand forced the cup to the lips of the Statue of Liberty, and she became powerless to defend herself.  The mighty hand of God forced her to drink every drop from the cup.  As she drank the bitter dregs, these were the words that I heard, “Should you be utterly unpunished?  You shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of Hosts.” (Jer.25:29)  When the cup was withdrawn from the lips of the Statue of Liberty, I noticed the sword was missing from the cup, which could mean but one thing.  THE CONTENTS OF THE CUP HAD BEEN COMPLETELY CONSUMED! I knew that the sword merely typified war, death, and destruction, which is no doubt on the way.

Then as one drunken on too much wine, I saw the Statue of Liberty become unsteady on her feet and begin to stagger, and to lose her balance.  I saw her splashing in the Gulf, trying to regain her balance.  I saw her stagger again and again, and fall to her knees. As I saw  her desperate attempts to regain her balance, and rise to her feet again, my heart was moved as never before with compassion for her struggles. But as she staggered there in the gulf, once again I heard these words, “Ye shall drink and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more because of the sword that I shall send among you.”

As I watched, I wondered if the Statue of Liberty would ever be able to regain her feet – if she would ever stand again.  And as I watched, it seemed that with all her power she struggled to rise, and finally staggered to her feet again, and stood there swaying drunkenly.  I felt sure that at any moment she would fall again – possibly never to rise. I seemed overwhelmed with a desire to reach out my hand to keep her head above water, for I knew that if she ever fell again she would drown there in the Gulf.

“Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.” Psalms 91:5,6.

Then as I watched, another amazing thing was taking place.  Far to the Northwest, just out over Alaska, a huge, black cloud was arising. As it rose, it was as black as night.  It seemed to be in the shape of a man’s head.  As it continued to arise, I observed two light spots in the black cloud.  It rose further, and a gaping hole appeared.  I could see that the black cloud was taking the shape of a skull, for now the huge, white, gaping mouth was plainly visible.  Finally the head was complete.  Then the shoulders began to appear and on either side long, black arms. It seemed that what I saw was the entire North American Continent, spread out like a map upon a table with this terrible skeleton-formed cloud arising from behind the table.  It rose steadily until the form was visible down to the waist.  At the waist, the skeleton seemed to bend towards the United States, stretching forth a hand toward the East and one toward the West – one toward New York and one toward Seattle. As the awful form stretched forward,  I could see that the entire attention seemed to be focused upon the U.S., overlooking Canada at least for the time being.  As I saw the horrible black cloud in the form of a skeleton bending towards America, bending from the waist over, reaching down toward Chicago and out towards both coasts, I knew it’s one interest was to destroy the multitudes.

As I watched in horror, the great black cloud stopped just above the great lakes region, and turned it’s face towards New York City. Then out of the horrible, great gaping mouth began to appear wisps of white vapor which looked like smoke, as a cigarette smoker would blow puffs of smoke from his mouth.  These whitish vapors were being blown toward New York City.  The smoke began to spread, until it had covered all the eastern part of the United States.

Then the skeleton turned to the West, and out of the horrible mouth and nostrils came another great puff of white smoke.   This time it was blown in the direction of the West Coast.  In a few moments time,the entire West Coast and L.A. area was covered with it’s vapors

Then towards the center came  a third great puff.  As I watched, St. Louis and Kansas City were enveloped in its white vapors.  Then on it came towards New Orleans.  Then on they swept until they reached the Statue of Liberty where she stood staggering drunkenly in The blue waters of The Gulf.  As the white vapors began to spread around The head of the statue, she took in but one gasping breath, and then began to cough as though to rid her lungs of the horrible vapors she had inhaled.  One could readily discern by the coughing that those white vapors had seared her lungs.

What were these white vapors?  Could they signify bacteriological warfare or nerve gas that could destroy multitudes of people in a few moments time? Then I heard the voice of God, as He spoke again: “Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof,.  And it shall be, as with the people. so with The priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the buyer, so with the seller, as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.  The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled : for The Lord has spoken this word.  The earth mourneth and fadeth away,The world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish . The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.  Therefore has the curse devoured the earth and they that dwell therein are desolate; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned and few men are left.” (Isa.24:1-6)

As I watched, the coughing grew worse.  It sounded like a person was about to cough out his lungs.  The Statue was moaning and groaning. She was in mortal agony.  The pain must have been terrific, as again and again, she tried to clear her lungs of those horrible white vapors. I watched her there in the Gulf, as she staggered, clutching her lungs and her breast with her hands. Then she fell to her knees. In a moment, she gave one final cough, and made a last desperateeffort to rise from her knees, and then fell face forward into the waters of The Gulf and lay still as death.  Tears ran down my face as I realized that she was dead!  Only The lapping of The waves, splashing over her body, which was partly under the water, and partly out of water, broke the silence.

“A fire devoureth before them, and behind them a flame burneth; the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them, a desolate wilderness.” Joel 2:3

Suddenly the silence was shattered by the screaming of sirens. The sirens seemed to scream, “RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!” Never before had I heard such shrill, screaming sirens. They seemed to be everywhere – to the North, South, the East and the West.  There seemed to be multitudes of sirens.  And as I looked, I saw people everywhere running.  But it seemed none of them ran more than a few paces, and then they fell.  And even as I had seen the Statue struggling to regain her poise and balance, and finally falling to die on her face, I now saw millions of people falling in the streets, on the sidewalks, struggling.  I heard their screams for mercy and help. I heard their horrible coughing as though their lungs had been seared with fire.  I heard the moanings and groanings of the doomed and the dying.  As I watched, a few finally reached shelters, and above the moaning and groanings, I heard these words: “A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth for the Lord has a controversy with the nations.  He will plead with all flesh; He will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the Lord. Behold evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of The earth. And The slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even onto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented neither gathered nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground. (Jer. 25:31-33)

Then suddenly I saw from the Atlantic and from the Pacific, and out of the Gulf, rocket-like objects that seemed to come up like fish leaping out of the water .  High into the air they leaped, each headed in a different direction, but every one towards The U.S.  On the ground, the sirens screamed louder.  And up from the ground I saw similar rockets begin to ascend.  To me, these appeared to be interceptor rockets although they arose from different points all over the U.S. However, none of them seemed to be successful in intercepting the rockets that had risen from the ocean on every side.  These rockets finally reached their maximum height, slowly turned over, and fell back toward the earth in defeat.  Them suddenly, the rockets which had leaped out of the ocean like fish all exploded at once.  The explosion was ear- splitting.  The next thing which I saw was a huge ball of fire.   The only thing I have ever seen which resembled the thing I saw in my vision was the picture of the explosion of the H-bomb in the South Pacific.  In my vision, it was so real I seemed to fell a searing heat from it.

As the vision spread before my eyes, and I viewed the widespread desolation brought about by the terrific explosions, I could not help thinking, ” While the defenders of our nation have quibbled over what means of defense to use, and neglected the only true means of defense, faith and dependence upon the true and living God, the thing which she greatly feared has come unto her!  How true it has proven that “Except the Lord keep The city, The watchman watches but in vain.”

Then as the noise of the battle subsided, to my ears cam this quotation from Joel, the second chapter, “Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.

A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them. The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run…” (Joel 2:4).

On July 4th, 1954 evangelist A.A. Allen had an extraordinary vision which we are still talking about to this day.  The vision is quite long, but near the end of the vision he was shown that one day America would be destroyed by missiles coming out of the ocean.  It is important to note that the very first submarine capable of carrying nuclear missiles was not even built until 1959.  So what A.A. Allen saw had not even been invented yet when he saw it. The following is the full text of his vision…

(Harvest NETwork) As I stood atop the Empire State Building, I could see the Statue of Liberty, illuminating the gateway to the new world.  Here, spread before me like an animated map, is an area sixty or eighty miles in diameter. I was amazed that the Spirit of the Lord should so move me, there atop the Empire State Building.  Why should I feel such a surge of His Spirit and power there?

Suddenly I heard the voice of the Lord.  It was as clear and as distinct as a voice could be. It seemed to come from the very midst of the giant telescope.  But when I looked at the telescope, I knew it hadn’t come from there, but directly from heaven.  The voice said, “The eyes of the lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward Him.  Herein you have done foolishly. Therefore, from henceforth, you shall have wars.”

Immediately when I heard the voice of God, I knew this was a quotation of Scripture.  But never before had a thing come to me so forcibly by the power of the Spirit. The ticking of the telescope stopped. The man before me had used up his dimes worth.  As he stepped away I knew that I was next.  As I stepped to the telescope and dropped in my dime, immediately the ticking started again.  This ticking was an automatic clock which would allow me to use the telescope for a definitely limited time only.

As I swung the telescope to the North, suddenly the Spirit of God came upon me in a way that I had never thought of before.  Seemingly in the spirit I was entirely caught away.  I knew that the telescope itself had nothing to do with the distance which I was suddenly enabled to see, for I seemed to see things far beyond the range of the telescope, even on a bright clear day.  It was simply that God had chosen this time to reveal these things to me, for as I looked through the telescope, it was not Manhattan Island that I saw, but a far larger view. That morning, much of the view was impaired by fog. But suddenly as the Spirit of the Lord came upon me the fog seemed to clear, until it seemed that I could see for thousands of miles.

But that which I was looking upon was not Manhattan island, it was all of the North American Continent spread out before me as a map is spread upon a table, it was not the East River and the Hudson River that I saw on either side, but the Atlantic and the Pacific Oceans.And instead of the Statue of Liberty standing there in the bay on her small island I saw her standing far out in the Gulf of Mexico. She was between me and the United States.

I suddenly realized that the telescope had nothing to do with what I was seeing, but that it was a vision coming directly from God. And to prove this to myself I took my eyes away from the telescope, so that I was no longer looking through the lens, but the same scene remained before me.

There, clear and distinct, lay all the North American Continent, with all it’s great cities. To the North lay the Great Lakes. Far to the Northeast was New York City. I could see Seattle and Portland far to the Northwest. Down the West Coast, there were San Francisco and Los Angeles. Closer in the foreground, there lay New Orleans, at the center of the Gulf Coast area. I could see the great towering ranges of the Rocky Mountains, and trace with my eye the Continental Divide. All this and more, I could see spread out before me as a great map upon a table.

And as l looked, suddenly from the sky I saw a giant hand reach down. That gigantic hand was reaching out toward the Statue of Liberty. In a moment her gleaming torch was torn from her hand, and in it instead was placed a cup. And I saw protruding from that great cup, a giant sword, shining as if a great light had been turned upon its glistening edge. Never before had I seen such a sharp, glistening, dangerous sword. lt seemed to threaten all the world. As the great cup was placed in the hand of the Statue of Liberty, I heard these words, “Thus saith the Lord of hosts, Drink ye and be drunken, spue and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send”  As I heard these words, I recognized them as a quotation from Jeremiah 25:7.

I was amazed to hear the Statue of Liberty speak out in reply, “I WILL NOT DRINK!” Then as the voice of the thunder, I heard again the voice of the Lord, saying, “Thus saith the Lord of Hosts, YE SHALL CERTAINLY DRINK.” (Jer.25:28)  Then suddenly the giant hand forced the cup to the lips of the Statue of Liberty, and she became powerless to defend herself.  The mighty hand of God forced her to drink every drop from the cup.  As she drank the bitter dregs, these were the words that I heard, “Should you be utterly unpunished?  You shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the Lord of Hosts.” (Jer.25:29)  When the cup was withdrawn from the lips of the Statue of Liberty, I noticed the sword was missing from the cup, which could mean but one thing.  THE CONTENTS OF THE CUP HAD BEEN COMPLETELY CONSUMED! I knew that the sword merely typified war, death, and destruction, which is no doubt on the way.

Then as one drunken on too much wine, I saw the Statue of Liberty become unsteady on her feet and begin to stagger, and to lose her balance.  I saw her splashing in the Gulf, trying to regain her balance.  I saw her stagger again and again, and fall to her knees. As I saw  her desperate attempts to regain her balance, and rise to her feet again, my heart was moved as never before with compassion for her struggles. But as she staggered there in the gulf, once again I heard these words, “Ye shall drink and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more because of the sword that I shall send among you.”

As I watched, I wondered if the Statue of Liberty would ever be able to regain her feet – if she would ever stand again.  And as I watched, it seemed that with all her power she struggled to rise, and finally staggered to her feet again, and stood there swaying drunkenly.  I felt sure that at any moment she would fall again – possibly never to rise. I seemed overwhelmed with a desire to reach out my hand to keep her head above water, for I knew that if she ever fell again she would drown there in the Gulf.

“Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night, nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness, nor for the destruction that wastes at noonday.” Psalms 91:5,6.

Then as I watched, another amazing thing was taking place.  Far to the Northwest, just out over Alaska, a huge, black cloud was arising. As it rose, it was as black as night.  It seemed to be in the shape of a man’s head.  As it continued to arise, I observed two light spots in the black cloud.  It rose further, and a gaping hole appeared.  I could see that the black cloud was taking the shape of a skull, for now the huge, white, gaping mouth was plainly visible.  Finally the head was complete.  Then the shoulders began to appear and on either side long, black arms. It seemed that what I saw was the entire North American Continent, spread out like a map upon a table with this terrible skeleton-formed cloud arising from behind the table.  It rose steadily until the form was visible down to the waist.  At the waist, the skeleton seemed to bend towards the United States, stretching forth a hand toward the East and one toward the West – one toward New York and one toward Seattle. As the awful form stretched forward,  I could see that the entire attention seemed to be focused upon the U.S., overlooking Canada at least for the time being.  As I saw the horrible black cloud in the form of a skeleton bending towards America, bending from the waist over, reaching down toward Chicago and out towards both coasts, I knew it’s one interest was to destroy the multitudes.

As I watched in horror, the great black cloud stopped just above the great lakes region, and turned it’s face towards New York City. Then out of the horrible, great gaping mouth began to appear wisps of white vapor which looked like smoke, as a cigarette smoker would blow puffs of smoke from his mouth.  These whitish vapors were being blown toward New York City.  The smoke began to spread, until it had covered all the eastern part of the United States.

Then the skeleton turned to the West, and out of the horrible mouth and nostrils came another great puff of white smoke.   This time it was blown in the direction of the West Coast.  In a few moments time,the entire West Coast and L.A. area was covered with it’s vapors

Then towards the center came  a third great puff.  As I watched, St. Louis and Kansas City were enveloped in its white vapors.  Then on it came towards New Orleans.  Then on they swept until they reached the Statue of Liberty where she stood staggering drunkenly in The blue waters of The Gulf.  As the white vapors began to spread around The head of the statue, she took in but one gasping breath, and then began to cough as though to rid her lungs of the horrible vapors she had inhaled.  One could readily discern by the coughing that those white vapors had seared her lungs.

What were these white vapors?  Could they signify bacteriological warfare or nerve gas that could destroy multitudes of people in a few moments time? Then I heard the voice of God, as He spoke again: “Behold, the Lord maketh the earth empty, and maketh it waste, and turneth it upside down, and scattereth abroad the inhabitants thereof,.  And it shall be, as with the people. so with The priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the buyer, so with the seller, as with the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him.  The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled : for The Lord has spoken this word.  The earth mourneth and fadeth away,The world languisheth and fadeth away, the haughty people of the earth do languish . The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant.  Therefore has the curse devoured the earth and they that dwell therein are desolate; therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned and few men are left.” (Isa.24:1-6)

As I watched, the coughing grew worse.  It sounded like a person was about to cough out his lungs.  The Statue was moaning and groaning. She was in mortal agony.  The pain must have been terrific, as again and again, she tried to clear her lungs of those horrible white vapors. I watched her there in the Gulf, as she staggered, clutching her lungs and her breast with her hands. Then she fell to her knees. In a moment, she gave one final cough, and made a last desperateeffort to rise from her knees, and then fell face forward into the waters of The Gulf and lay still as death.  Tears ran down my face as I realized that she was dead!  Only The lapping of The waves, splashing over her body, which was partly under the water, and partly out of water, broke the silence.

Suddenly the silence was shattered by the screaming of sirens. The sirens seemed to scream, “RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!” Never before had I heard such shrill, screaming sirens. They seemed to be everywhere – to the North, South, the East and the West.  There seemed to be multitudes of sirens.  And as I looked, I saw people everywhere running.  But it seemed none of them ran more than a few paces, and then they fell.  And even as I had seen the Statue struggling to regain her poise and balance, and finally falling to die on her face, I now saw millions of people falling in the streets, on the sidewalks, struggling.  I heard their screams for mercy and help. I heard their horrible coughing as though their lungs had been seared with fire.  I heard the moanings and groanings of the doomed and the dying.  As I watched, a few finally reached shelters, and above the moaning and groanings, I heard these words: “A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth for the Lord has a controversy with the nations.  He will plead with all flesh; He will give them that are wicked to the sword, saith the Lord. Behold evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of The earth. And The slain of the Lord shall be at that day from one end of the earth even onto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented neither gathered nor buried; they shall be dung upon the ground. (Jer. 25:31-33)

For the first time since Turkey’s Islamist leader Recep Tayyip Erdogan ascended to power, he’s in trouble at home, while at the same time the tyrant is risking a major confrontation with the United States.
Erdogan’s AKP party lost the March 31 municipal elections to the secular ultra-nationalist MHP party which used to help the AKP party to establish its Islamist regime.

As a result, for the first time in a quarter-century, Turkey’s main population centers such as Istanbul and Ankara will be governed by secular politicians and not by Islamists who take their orders from the Turkish strongman.

This means that Turkey’s economy will be largely controlled by the opposition since the country’s major cities count for more than half of Turkey’s GDP.

Erdogan tried to manipulate the local elections by nominating close allies such as parliament speaker Binali Yildirim and his Economy Minister Nihat Zeybekci and turned the local elections into a referendum on his rule.

The move backfired, however.

When polls and surveys showed that the AKP party was trailing, Erdogan did what he is best at: He started to demonize his opponents, blaming foreign governments for Turkey’s ailing economy and using religion to mobilize the masses.

Gaza, Jerusalem, Mecca, and Raqqa were more important topics in Erdogan’s campaign than the improvement of living conditions in villages and cities in Turkey.

The residents of major Turkish cities apparently saw through Erdogan’s manipulations and rhetoric, and voted in the MHP party by a clear majority.

Erdogan now refuses to concede in Istanbul claiming the election there was invalid due to fraud at polling stations and demands a rerun of the voting.

Losing Istanbul and Ankara could have devastating consequences for Erdogan’s rule over Turkey since they form the backbone of his autocratic regime, observers say.

“Erdoğan, seemingly on his way to being a modern sultan, no longer seems invincible,” Doug Bandow, a senior fellow at the Cato Institute wrote this week.

The loss in the municipal elections is the result of economic mismanagement by the AKP government which caused the Turkish lira to lose 30 percent of its value last year and the near collapse of Turkey’s economy.

The country has slid into recession where unemployment and inflation are rising all the time.

“The opposition’s revival is good for the people of Turkey, who are suffering under Erdoğan’s increasingly authoritarian rule, as well as for Western governments, which should no longer view Ankara as a friend and ally,” according to Bandow who added that Turkey should be kicked out of NATO.

The Cato Institute fellow was referring to Erdogan’s decision to purchase the state-of-the-art Russian S-400 anti-aircraft missile shield, a decision that drew the ire of the Trump Administration.

The Administration has already decided to stop the delivery of equipment for the F-35 stealth fighter plane to Turkey in order to pressure Erdogan and demand he cancel the deal with Putin’s Russia, but the hot-headed leader refuses to comply.

The S-400 missile shield is considered the world’s most advanced anti-aircraft system and the deal between Russia and Turkey is threatening Israel’s air superiority in the Middle East.

Washington is considering the purchase of the Russian system, a threat to the NATO since the deal would jeopardize the secrecy of its own and NATO weapon technologies and has offered to deliver the rival Patriot missile-shield to Turkey.

Erdogan, however, made clear he would not budge and vowed to go ahead with S-400 purchase while at the same time showing interest in buying the Patriot system on his terms and as an addition to the Russian system.

Congress has now adopted bi-partisan legislation that will scuttle the F-35 deal altogether whenever Ankara decides to go ahead with the purchase of the S-400.

Delivery of the S-400 system and the F-35 to Turkey would expose the weak spots of the American stealth jet to Russia, experts warned.

Tensions between the US and Turkey reached boiling point last week after Secretary of State Mike Pompeo warned Erdogan’s regime of “devastating consequences” if the Turks go ahead with their planned invasion of Kurdish-held regions in Syria.

Erdogan and his Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu have repeatedly warned a Turkish invasion in what the Kurds call Rojova, the Kurdish autonomous region along the Turkish border in Syria, was about to begin but apparently, Ankara fears the American response to this new aggression against the Syrian Kurds.

Unilateral action in Syria by the Turks would have devastating consequences, State Department Robert Paladino told reporters last week after a meeting between Çavuşoğlu and Pompeo in Washington.

Paladino’s remarks led to a new row between the Erdogan regime and Washington with Çavuşoğlu charging that the United States hasn’t “a clear strategy” Syria.

The U.S. recently decided to leave 200 military advisers in Rojova whose presence is meant to deter the Turks from attacking the Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces, which together with the US army defeated Islamic State in Syria.

“Increasingly, Ankara is no friend to America or the West,” Bandow wrote and advised NATO to toss Turkey out of the North Atlantic alliance

“Rather than desperately attempting to hold Ankara in NATO, the allies should begin considering how to ease Turkey out,” the former special assistant to President Reagan added.

If any nation decides to attack Russia with nuclear weapons, it may end life on Earth; but unlike the aggressors, the Russians are sure to go to heaven, President Vladimir Putin has said.
“Any aggressor should know that retribution will be inevitable and he will be destroyed. And since we will be the victims of his aggression, we will be going to heaven as martyrs. They will simply drop dead, won’t even have time to repent,” Putin said during a session of the Valdai Club in Sochi.

He added that Russia’s nuclear forces are not tailored for a pre-emptive strike, and exist as a second-strike capability meant to deter an attack by a foreign nation.

The Russian nuclear doctrine allows for the use of this weapon in a conventional conflict, but only if Russia’s existence is at stake. This presumably gives the Russian military a loophole to use tactical nuclear weapons in the case of a large-scale invasion. The self-imposed restrictions are less harsh than a complete ‘no-first-use’ pledge, which was dropped by Moscow in 1993.

The US’ latest nuclear posture review says that Washington may use nuclear weapons in response to a non-nuclear attack on itself or its allies. It remains vague about the exact circumstances that may trigger such an action. This gave rise to speculation that even a cyberattack may permit a nuclear response. Meanwhile, a call for the creation of small-yield submarine-launched missiles and nuclear-capable sea-launched cruise missiles have only added to concerns that the US is stocking up for some kind of large-scale conflict.

Global warming is a hot topic in coffee shops all over the West Coast. Fear mongering has reached a fever pitch, with people assuming a 1 degree change in temperature will instantly incinerate them like Sarah Connor in the “Terminator 2” nuke scene.

The rampant wildfires have done nothing to ease their worries, with many jumping to blame the Republican Party for natural disasters in a state that has been voting blue in the Electoral College since before the Soviet Union kicked the bucket.

One man does know the truth, and it all goes back to the Clintons, an owl and some old trees.

In 1994, then-President Bill Clinton introduced a plan that would work twofold to save the majestic spotted owl AND ancient trees: Restricting logging in the old-growth forests. Bob Zybach knew that was a mistake.

A forester by trade, Zybach knew how ecosystems thrive, flourish, die and are reborn. With no human management, any forester knows, Mother Nature will do the pruning herself. Instead of forestry saws and burn lines, nature likes things dramatic.

Zybach said that Native Americans practiced human management of forests, starting controlled burns to clear pastureland and undergrowth for hunting. Shortly after they were driven out and their practices stopped, the West Coast’s first rash of wildfires happened.

Now these states are repeating the same mistakes their settler ancestors made.

“You take away logging, grazing and maintenance, and you get firebombs,” Zybach said.

Although not strictly a “firebomb,” the wildfires are so violent that they have spawned a “firenado” from the sheer intensity of the heat.



With record wildfires engulfing over 600,000 acres, Zybach’s prediction has played out in a deadly fashion.

In 2018, we have seen an unprecedented crackdown on anti-establishment voices on Facebook, YouTube and Twitter. When they were first created, these social media platforms were essentially neutral, and they really did greatly contribute to the marketplace of ideas. But now there is a tremendous effort to censor voices that are a threat to the establishment, and in recent months we have witnessed the greatest purge of conservative voices in the history of the internet.

Anything that does not conform to the agenda of the elite is being labeled as "hate speech," and countless anti-establishment voices have had social media accounts either "shadow banned" or terminated completely. Needless to say, this could dramatically affect the outcome of the elections in November.

And it isn't just political voices that are being silenced. As you will see at the end of this article, Facebook has been shutting down dozens and dozens of alternative health pages.

Why would they do that?

Well, the New World Order absolutely hates when people start questioning conventional medicine, vaccines and the giant pharmaceutical companies. Rather than engaging in legitimate debate, they would rather shut down dissenting voices.

Before the internet came along, the elite had a virtual monopoly over the flow of information in our society. They owned all of the television networks, radio stations, newspapers, magazines, publishing houses and so on.

But then the internet happened, and all of a sudden, ordinary people like you and me could communicate with one another on a mass scale without having to go through the gatekeepers. It was a wonderful thing, but we all knew that it wouldn't be like that forever.

We can debate the extent to which the globalists are directly pulling the strings at these social media companies behind the scenes, but the end result of all of this censorship is evident to all of us. Anti-establishment voices are being silenced, and the agenda of the New World Order is being advanced.

At this point, the censorship of anti-establishment voices is so obvious that even liberal news outlets are reporting on it. The following comes from Vice News:

The Republican Party chair Ronna McDaniel, several conservative Republican congressmen, and Donald Trump Jr.'s spokesman no longer appear in the auto-populated drop-down search box on Twitter, VICE News has learned. It's a shift that diminishes their reach on the platform—and it's the same one being deployed against prominent racists to limit their visibility. The profiles continue to appear when conducting a full search, but not in the more convenient and visible drop-down bar. (The accounts appear to also populate if you already follow the person.)

Vice News mentioned just a few examples, but the truth is that hundreds of prominent anti-establishment conservatives have been "shadow banned" on Twitter. Conservative members of Congress such as Mark Meadows, Jim Jordan and Devin Nunes have all been victimized, and earlier today U.S. Representative Matt Gaetz posted a furious tweet in which he accused Twitter of "deliberately targeting" all of them.

If Democrats were being treated the same way, at least we could say that Twitter was being fair.

But Vice News discovered that not a single liberal member of Congress has been shadow banned:

Democrats are not being "shadow banned" in the same way, according to a VICE News review. McDaniel's counterpart, Democratic Party chair Tom Perez, and liberal members of Congress—including Reps. Maxine Waters, Joe Kennedy III, Keith Ellison and Mark Pocan—all continue to appear in drop-down search results. Not a single member of the 78-person Progressive Caucus faces the same situation in Twitter's search.

When you are shadow banned, it becomes much more difficult for people to find your account, and whatever you post is seen by a lot fewer people.

Prior to the Vice News article, Gizmodo discovered that quite a number of top anti-establishment internet pundits were receiving the "shadow ban" treatment as well:

"In what appears to be new ranking behavior, Gizmodo has identified several prominent far-right accounts now buried by Twitter's search feature," the site claimed. "As an unintended side effect of demoting divisive figures, many of the dropdown results now show fake accounts."

Some examples of accounts which have been censored include author and journalist Mike Cernovich, author and YouTuber Stefan Molyneux, InfoWars Editor-at-Large Paul Joseph Watson, Gateway Pundit founder Jim Hoft and commentator Laura Loomer.

And Breitbart added quite a few more names to the list:

Breitbart News also discovered other examples of censored users, which included author and commentator Lauren Southern, OAN correspondent Jack Posobiec, Dilbert creator Scott Adams, lawyer and commentator Will Chamberlain, Gateway Pundit reporters Lucian Wintrich and Cassandra Fairbanks, Daily Caller contributor Scott Greer, Daily Caller reporter Peter J. Hasson, Daily Caller and Rebel Media journalist Rob Shimshock.

But let's not just pick on Twitter. Facebook is an even bigger offender, and it has been reported that traffic from Facebook to many conservative sites is down by 70 percent or more since the 2016 election.

YouTube is a major offender as well. On Wednesday, we learned that they just deleted four more videos from the Infowars YouTube channel.

YouTube removed four videos from Jones' channel, which has 2.4 million subscribers, that contained instances of hate speech and child endangerment, sources familiar with the matter said. YouTube channels are deleted if they get three strikes in a three-month period.

Two videos contained hate speech against Muslims, and a third contained hate speech against transgender people, sources said. A fourth showed a child who was pushed to the ground by an adult man, under the headline "How to prevent liberalism." All four of the videos are currently posted on Infowars.

And prior to that, YouTube completely shut down the SGTreport:

My You Tube channel has been terminated. 3rd strike for no good reason. #Censorship #BigBrother Please tweet to @TeamYouTube & demand that this injustice be immediately corrected by restoring my channel.

There were hundreds of high quality videos on that channel, and now they are all gone.

It is important to keep in mind that it appears that it is only anti-establishment voices that are receiving this kind of treatment. In fact, I don't know of a single "never Trump" Republican that has been censored. Establishment voices on the "left" and the "right" are being totally left alone, but anti-establishment voices are being relentlessly persecuted.

And like I said at the beginning, it isn't just political voices that are being censored. Global Freedom Movement recently compiled a list of 82 major alternative health pages that have been taken down by Facebook:

TOO FAR FETCHED. On September 11, 2001 the BBC reported that the Salomon Brothers building (WTC 7) collapsed before it actually collapsed. Hard to explain and most people aren't even aware that the building collapsed much less that it was reported to have happened before it had happened!

According to the video linked below, BBC was reporting this collapse beginning at 4:20pm with a rumor, by 4:30 pm the Salomon building collapse was being reported as fact, according to this video. This was more than 50 minutes before it actually collapsed. The interview in the above video cut off just 5 minutes before the collapse.

In the other new video, we give 10 more reasons why we do not believe that there is an Oral Law given by God at Mount Sinai.

So do we really depend on the rabbinical tradition, “The Oral Law”, in order to understand the written law?
This is what the rabbis want us to believe. In that way, we stay dependent on them. This dependency brings them power which also enables them to extort people and make a lot of money. But in the Bible God tells the people of Israel the exact opposite.

From the beginning, God made it clear to Israel that his commandments are not complicated, so that in order to understand them we would not depend on a rabbi to explain them to us.

“For this commandment that I command you today is not too hard for you, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven that you should say, ‘Who will ascend to heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’ But the word is very near you. It is in your mouth and in your heart, so that you can do it.” (Deuteronomy 30:11-14)

Therefore, according to the rules of biblical interpretation the biblical commandments are based on the most simple reading of the text.

It is the context of the verses in the Bible itself that clarifies what the original author meant. There is nothing wrong with asking for help if we don’t understand something. But we should not be dependent on one person who allegedly is the only one with the authority to interpret. That’s what the rabbis want us to think. Therefore, the rabbis frequently make use of a logical fallacy that is an appeal to ignorance, an argument from ignorance. A logical mistake in which one tries to get to a conclusion out of lack of knowledge or proof.

For example, let’s say I don’t understand a commandment like, what is an “Orla” (foreskin) and how do I need to cut it? Or, I don’t know what a “Succah” (booth) is, and what color it should be, what angle, or how to build it. Therefore, there has to exist an Oral Law that explains and interprets what I don’t know. See what Rabbi Yossi Mizrachi says:

“Listen up, there is a simple point to make here, the day you have an answer to it we’ll continue the discussion. There are 613 written commandments and none of them contains an explanation on how to implement them. Nothing.”

This typical example was taken from a lecture of one of the most famous rabbis today, Rabbi Yossi Mizrahi, given in January 2017 in Ramat Gan. 

In this lecture a 17 year old boy challenged Rabbi Mizrahi to prove the existence of an Oral Law, after telling the rabbi that he watched our video, “The Myth of the Oral Law”, a video that proves that the Oral Law was not given to Moses by God at Mount Sinai.

The rabbis don’t agree about the meaning of Biblical words
First of all, it’s important to remember that today, thousands of years after the giving of the Law, it is very likely that we don’t understand every word. Or that we understand something else than the original meaning. But we need to remember that the biblical Hebrew that the people of Israel used is similar but not identical to the Modern Hebrew we speak today. Because there are words, terms, expressions or commandments that we don’t understand it does not mean that the people living at that time did not understand either. For example, in Ezekiel 1 we find the word “Khashmal”. Obviously, the meaning of “Khashmal” at the time of Ezekiel and in the context of the text is not identical to its modern meaning, “electricity”. The word “Khashmal” is a perfect example showing how the sages contradict one another. And therefore, their words cannot be “the Oral Law” passed on by Moses. The rabbis do not agree with one another concerning the meaning of “Khashmal”. Rashi says, that “Khashmal” is the name of an angel. Rabbi Bahya Ben Asher, however, claims that it refers to animals. In Parshanut Metzudat David it is claimed to refer to flames. Then again Abarbanel states that it means “prophecy”. Malbim, saying that “Kashmal” is God’s presence claims furthermore that it is forbidden to accept Abarbanel’s interpretation. He says: “‘Khashmal’ – God forbid that we accept Abarbanel’s opinion.”

Pretty confused, this “Oral Law”.

Now … we want to go over each claim from Yossi Mizrahi’s lecture and take it apart.

Let’s start.

The example of circumcision
“What’s an ‘Orla’? How would you know what a ‘Orla’ is? How did Moses know where to cut? It’s not written how to circumcise. How come they all knew where to cut?” (Rabbi Yossi Mizrahi)

Seems like Mizrahi forgot that the command of the circumcision was given to Abraham hundreds of years before the Sinai covenant, which supposedly was when the Oral Law was given together with the written Law. So did Abraham have a rabbi who traveled back in time in order to explain to him how to circumcise?

According to Prof. Nisan Rubin and Prof. Binyamin Mazar the circumcision of the male is not only a Jewish phenomenon. It was a known tradition among the majority of peoples. In fact, in ancient times it was common also in the area of Egypt, Assyria and around the Mediterranean about 3000 years BC.

The example of Tfilin
“Tfilin”, (arm wrapping) continues Rabbi Mizrachi. “How come? How come they all put on black Tfilin all over the world?”

And how come that already for thousands of years, people in Asia make Sushi with green algae? Maybe the Japanese also received an Oral Law with Sushi rules? When a certain tradition exists for thousands of years it does not mean that God ordered it. Actually, the word “Tfilin” is not mentioned in the Bible at all. Rather, the sages took the word “Totaphot” later on and claimed it referred to Tfilin. However, whoever compares the commandment of the “Totaphot”, in Deut. 6:8, with the identical commandment given earlier in Exodus 13:9 will see that the meaning of “Totaphot” is actually “as a memory”. The commandment “as Totaphot between your eyes” does not command us to put a box on our forehead. Rather, it is a commandment to always remember God in your thoughts. 

What is a mezuzah, and who thought of it?
Rabbi Mizrachi, convinced that mezuzot were an invention of the Oral Law declared,

“The written Law does not tell us what to write in the Mezuzah. Who came up with this?” 

But when it comes to the word Mezuzah, just like the Tfilin, it’s again about a verse taken out of its context. The general concept is from Deuteronomy 6:9, but see what is written in Judges 16, verse 3:

“…and (he) took hold of the doors [mezuzot] of the gate of the city and the two posts, and pulled them up, bar and all, and put them on his shoulders and carried them to the top of the hill that is in front of Hebron.” (Judges 16:3)

Judging by this verse, would we infer that the inhabitants of Gaza, the Philistines, also kept the commandment of the Mezuzah? Of course not! The meaning of the word “Mezuzah” becomes obvious in the context: the posts surrounding a door. Samson grabbed them when he pulled up the door of the city gate. Hence, the Mezuzah is but another term whose meaning the rabbis have changed, developed into something else, and taken out of context. 

The example of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles)
“What is a ‘fruit of splendid trees’?” Asks Mizrachi. “It’s written that we need 4 of them, 4 kinds.”

Mizrahi doesn’t understand how to discern the meaning of “4 kinds”, and in general, how to understand anything connected to Succot, without the explanation provided by the Oral Law. First of all, in Deuteronomy 4 and 13 God warns us not to add anything to the commands written in the Torah.

“You shall not add to the word that I command you.” (Deuteronomy 4:2)

Therefore, even if we don’t fully understand the commandments regarding Succot and it doesn’t say exactly how to build the booth we still do not have the authority to add to these commandments traditions, rules and regulations that we can’t find anywhere in the Bible.

But that’s exactly what the Sages did. And as if that wasn’t enough they even did that in God’s name. And therefore, they need to be called to account for using God’s name in vain. Why didn’t God give clear and detailed guidelines in the Torah for every little thing? For example, how the booths need to be set up, how big, at which angle, color, and so on. Or which kind of splendid trees? Most likely for the same reason why God did not give all the flowers in the world the same shape and color. He does not want everything to be done the same way and look identical. Look around at God’s creation. The colors, shapes and smells show such an amazing variety. God is creative. And he made creative human beings and gave them freedom to create with creativity. So they could express their creativity.

Also in this commandment and others. If he did not let us know in which size or form, angle or direction the booth has to be set up than apparently that’s not what’s important to God. Rather, he left it up to us, to our imagination and creativity. Apparently, he did not want us to be fixed on a certain form, model or structure. Rather, he allowed us to express our creativity and individuality.

All that was important to God is that we’d remember that he brought us out of Egypt.

Imagine for a second how boring that would be: A city in which everyone wears the exact same thing. All the men wearing black suits, black pants and black hats. And all the women in black dresses and wearing black head coverings. Wait a minute. That’s Bnei Brak in Israel. Oh well, never mind.

The example of Shabbat
“It’s not written in the Bible how to consecrate the Sabbath. It’s not written in the Bible what ‘work’ is.”

“You shall kindle no fire in all your dwelling places on the Sabbath day.” (Exodus 35:3)

Pay attention to this, an action was prohibited namely to light a fire. The fire is not the problem but the action of lighting it. Why? The context tells us. One verse earlier it is written:

“Six days work shall be done, but on the seventh day you shall have a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it  shall be put to death.” (Exodus 35:2)

Did you notice that the word “work” was mentioned twice? Not accidentally. In Egypt, the people of Israel worked non-stop. Now, they are commanded not to work, but to rest one day per week. A day consecrated to God, the family and rest. The lighting of a fire was considered work. Why? Not because God has a problem with fire, but because the lighting of a fire was physically tiring, never ending. Unlike today in biblical times to light a fire involved going to the woods, cutting down trees, bringing the wood back to the camp, cutting it into smaller pieces, building a stack of wood and then trying to set the whole stack on fire. We’re talking about hours of hard physical work that should not be done on a Sabbath. Why?

Because you should rest on the Sabbath, relax, spend time with your family and deeply consider God. It’s a rest for the body and the soul.

All the rules that the “Oral Law” added, for example not to break a yogurt cup on the Sabbath, not to rip toilet paper, not to dry off, not to look into the mirror, and other ridiculous, rabbinical rules completely miss God’s purpose and the actual goal. 

Mizrahi claims:

“Build it the way I showed you on the mountain, the way I showed you on the mountain – in general I showed you how to build the tabernacle. God showed things to Moses that were not written in the Torah. This is evidence for the Oral Law. It’s written in past tense, when I showed you – when I showed you then.”

According to Rabbi Mizrahi the wording “when I showed you” implies an oral transmission. Without noticing Mizrahi chose to use, out of all chapters, one that proves the exact opposite of his claim. Since Moses did write in meticulous detail and in numerous chapters ALL the commandments connected to the tabernacle. See Exodus Chapters 25 to 30, chapters 35 to 40, and you will find that Mizrahi’s claim backfired on him, since Moses actually does clarify, in writing, the way the tabernacle has to be built in all its details. 

“What would the sages gain from coming up with thousands of rules?”
Glad you asked!

Let’s take for example Succot, feast of booths. Or for the sake of argument, all the other customs. In simple words, their gain is power, control and money. The Rabbis are the only authority and have the right to determine for the people of Israel what a kosher Succah (booth) is and what the four species are. What would the Etrog sellers do without their customers being tied down to the rules of the Rabbis? So it turns out that Religion is a lucrative business. The rabbinical tradition preserves and encourages this business, typical for other religions too, that gets validation from one source only. It functions like a monopoly or a cartel. For example, according to the website “Kipa” the market of the “four species” alone has a turnover of tens of millions in one single week, once a year. Now imagine how many starving people could be fed with the billions of turnover in Yeshivas and and the kosher market, money coming from all of us. In a way it seems we could have already ended poverty in Israel.

So did you understand what’s the agenda of the “Sages” behind the creation of thousands of rules? It gives them power and control over the people. It makes us dependent on them alone and this brings in lots and lots and lots of money. 

To sum it up:
We proved that we do not need the rabbinical tradition to explain the Bible to us, rather, this is about how the Rabbis can gain exclusive control over our lives. And this, obviously, expresses itself in money – lots of it. Lastly, we want to challenge Rabbi Yossi Mizrahi and the Rabbis in general with this question:

If according to your logic the written law cannot be understood without the rabbinical tradition explaining it to us, how then did Adam and Eve understand the meaning of the commandment

“Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that moves on the earth.” (Genesis 1:28)

Or … the commandment not to eat from the tree of knowledge.

“…for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” (Genesis 2:17)

Could Adam and Eve check in the Oral Law? Impossible, since according to the Sages the Oral Law was given together with the Torah at Mount Sinai thousands of years after the expulsion out of the Garden of Eden. Maybe Adam and Eve traveled into the future, studied at a rabbinical Yeshiva and traveled back to the past.


Revelation 1:3
For those of you who are not aware of this very profound verse, here it is, word for word
“BLESSED is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written in it; for the time is near.” (Revelation 1:3)
Notice this statement is being made right at the very beginning of this Book. Right at the very beginning of this last Book in the Bible, God is officially making the statement that “blessed” will be the man or woman who will attempt to try and read and keep what is in this Book.
If all 66 Books of the Bible are highly anointed and inspired by God Himself, then why is He making the statement that the Book of Revelation is the one Book that will cause someone to become blessed in some way?


When God is making this kind of direct statement right at the very beginning of this Book, He is trying to tell all of us something very important – and that something is that He is really wanting all of us to try and read and assimilate what is in this last Book. Otherwise He would have never made this kind of a direct statement right at the very beginning of it.
Many Christians, including some pastors, are afraid to try and get into this last Book and make an attempt to try and fully understand it.
For some, they feel it is too hard to try and fully understand. For others, it is just too frightening and scary to try and read due to the extreme events that will be taking place in the end times.

A copy of Israel’s Declaration of Independence dating back to the year that the State of Israel was born was discovered Monday during efforts to remove an old tree damaged during surprise storms two weeks ago.

Perfectly preserved in a sealed taxidermy jar, normally used for keeping creatures that have been stuffed, the scroll was originally placed between the roots of a cypress tree on Kibbutz Degania Alef in the Jordan Valley, east of the Sea of Galilee.

The US Department of Homeland Security is looking to build a media monitoring database. When some reporters objected, a DHS spokesman dismissed their concerns as fodder for “black helicopter conspiracy theorists.”
Service providers who want to bid for the program have until April 13 to submit a capabilities statement, according to the notice posted on the federal contractor website by the National Protection and Programs Directorate (NPPD), a division of DHS charged with protecting the “physical and cyber infrastructure.”

This has led Michelle Fabio of Forbes to wonder if the DHS is trying to use the cries of “Russian meddling” to justify creating a database of journalists and social media influencers. When the Committee to Protect Journalists retweeted Fabio’s article, DHS spokesman Tyler Houlton chimed in to say the database is “nothing more than the standard practice of monitoring current events in the media.”

“Any suggestion otherwise is fit for tin foil hat wearing, black helicopter conspiracy theorists,” he added.

With Houlton being less than helpful, perhaps the Statement of Work attached to the bid request could shed some light on what the DHS is actually looking to build. According to the six-page document, the contractor shall “provide media comparison tools, design and rebranding tools, communication tools, and the ability to identify top media influencers.”

There are six tasks being required of the contractors, starting with the ability to track more than 290,000 global news sources in over 100 languages, “including Arabic, Chinese and Russian,” and the ability to instantly translate the articles to English.

The next step would be a password-protected online platform enabling the DHS to access search results on “online articles and social media conversations,” an interactive dashboard providing “real-time monitoring, analysis, and benchmark of media coverage” and the ability to analyze the coverage in terms of content, volume, sentiment, geographical spread, influencers, language and momentum, among other things.

All this should be available in an encrypted mobile app, with enabled email alerts and customer service support.

Most interestingly, listed under “Media engagement” is the ability to access “contact details and any other information that could be relevant,” for any influencer in the database, including the publications the influencer writes for, and an overview of the influencer’s previous coverage. This database would have to be searchable, including in languages such as Arabic, Chinese and Russian.

Oh, and any staff working on the contract would have to have appropriate security clearances, ranging from Secret all the way to Top Secret with SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information).

The DHS spokesman’s snark has certainly raised some eyebrows, as official denials in Washington are never quite so forceful. One is reminded of how former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper told Congress the NSA does not “wittingly” spy on Americans. Unfortunately for Clapper, just a few months later whistleblower Edward Snowden showed the entire world that the NSA was doing just that.

Russia's Vladimir Putin in 2014 ordered a passenger aircraft which was reported to be carrying a bomb and targeting the opening of the Winter Olympic Games in Sochi to be downed, the president said in a film shown on Sunday.

In a 2-hour documentary titled "Putin" and available on Russian social media, Putin told reporter Andrey Kondrashov he received a telephone call from security officers responsible for the Sochi Olympics on Feb. 7, 2014, shortly before the opening ceremony was due to start.

"I was told: a plane en route from Ukraine to Istanbul was seized, captors demand landing in Sochi," Putin said in the film seen by Reuters.

The pilots of a Turkish Pegasus Airlines Boeing 737-800 flying from Kharkiv to Istanbul reported that one of the passengers had a bomb and the plane had to change course to Sochi, Kondrashov said in the film.

There were 110 passengers onboard, while over 40,000 people had gathered at the stadium to watch the opening ceremony, the reporter said

Putin said he sought advice from security officers and was told the emergency plan for that type of situation called for the plane to be shot down.

"I told them: act according to the plan," Putin said, adding that shortly afterwards he arrived at the Olympic venue with the International Olympic Committee officials.

After several minutes Putin received another call, he said, informing him that it was a false alarm - the passenger was drunk and the plane would continue its flight to Turkey.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Sunday confirmed the comments in the film.

Putin runs for the presidency next Sunday, March 18.

The country is on a high alert ahead of the football World Cup from June 14 to July 15, with matches in a number of cities.
