Importance of Communication

1 Corinthians 14:7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?

Today’s scripture talks of two types of musical instruments, piped and stringed instruments in a similitude to our natural and spiritual communication. We have both instruments, just using them is not music. The notes we play, their sequence and timing matter to make it a communication else it is called noise.

Our natural communication is for natural beings like humans (including ourselves – when we speak and hear we confirm our communication). Natural communication is controlled by our worldly mind.

Our spiritual communication is towards spiritual beings like God, His Angels (we draw their attention to matters – we do not pray to them) or even the evil angels. Spiritual communication is controlled by our spirit.

We may use either one or use both at time of communication, when we speak without meaning what we say, that means we are communicating in the natural without spiritual communication. Similarly when we pray in our minds we communicate spiritually without natural communication, the problem here is our natural mind intervenes in between and if our spirit is weak or not focused it will cause our spiritual communication to be garbage / senseless. We need to either get our worldly minds under control of our spirit else totally bind it/bring it to submission. We are always using either one of our instruments even when we sleep, unless we a sleep deep into the 3rd stage of slumber.

Praying in Tongues (gibberish, senseless words) causes the worldly mind to not function (in confusion) and our spiritual communication to be more focused. Praying in Tongues is a Gift required by those growing spiritually therefore Jesus as man never prayed in Tongues.

Praying in Tongues is one end of the tunnel (cutting off one to better the other) the other end is singing (bringing both together). Music / tune helps builds our emotions and spiritual communication to focus more along with our natural communication. Again those who are spiritual mature do not need to sing that is why Jesus sang only once at the Last Supper just before getting arrested to be crucified, when He was most shaken since He was going to be far from the Father).

Even in Heaven Angels do not sing but shout and worship God; the Greek word for ‘sing’ is ‘psallo’ (say in a tune - 1 Corinthians 14:15, Hebrews 2:12, Romans 15:9) and the word ‘ado’ which also means ‘praise’ is translated as mostly ‘sing’ (Revelation 5:9, Revelation 14:3). In Revelation 15:1-3 when man is entering Heaven it speaks of praising with music. In Hebrew the word ‘ranan’ means both ‘sing’ or ‘cry out’ (Job 38:7 – same is also mentioned in Revelation of the Beasts / Cherubs shouting ‘Holy, Holy, Holy’ and others follow).

Let us grow spiritually such that our prayers be as powerful as Jesus’s prayer ‘thank you Father’, that our spirit speak volumes while our natural words are minimal, that we may be always in prayer powerfully with worldly people around us not knowing.

Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Spirit and Omnipresent, knowing our thoughts even before we acknowledge them. You Lord hear more what our hearts speak more than what our mouth blabbers. Lord we pray we do not degrade You to a man by our meaningless prayers but make them spiritually stronger...

Law is Life for us

1 Timothy 1:8-10  But we know that the law [is] good, if a man use it lawfully; Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

When we hear the word ‘law’ we immediately think of rules set by a high authority which if broken calls for punishment. The problem with us is that we equate earthly human system to understand God’s system. When we are small if we were caught lying we would get punished so we think if we sin God will punish us.

It was only last year I realized how wrong we are in understanding God and His Law. Although it has been quite a few years since when the Lord made me understand in Hell we suffer our sins, meaning the fire that burns eternally is the sins within us (that is why in the parable the rich man requests for a drop of water on his tongue) yet I did not relate this to the Law of God. In short those who do not believe in Christ take their own fire/suffering when they go to Hell (a prison of solitude) where they suffer each and every sin till their spirit life (which is thousands of years).

Law of God does not punish us but in fact saves us from punishment, it exposes sin so that we can deal with it. Death is the consequence of sin and if we do not deal with sin we will see death.

Spiritual death is also unlike natural death. Eternal life for us is available in upper Heaven via the Tree / River of Life (symbolism). Spiritual death is more like decaying of life for this death does shorten the period but only makes things miserable.

The Law of God is also called the Instructions of Life for it prevents us from death and suffering, it leads / guides us to eternal and abundant life.. It is time we see spiritual things with our spiritual eyes and not with our earthly eyes (understanding) and know the importance of the Law of God.

Is it about speaking?

1 Peter 3: 10  For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:

When I initially read this scripture I nearly thought blessed is the dumb for he or she cannot speak!

We need to understand the term ‘tongue’ is a metaphor for communication, not speech alone and even thoughts come into that category of communication even though they are personal. Speech is our communication to others while thoughts are communication to ourselves and the spirit world. If our thoughts do not match our speech, that is the place where deception and lying works into us.

Jesus said ‘what goes into the mouth is cast out into the draught’. He clearly mentioned that what our inner-man communicates shows the state of our inner-man.

What we speak is what we think and what we think is what is working within us. If we are having evil thoughts it is because we are either filled with evil or have been entertaining it since some time. The more we expose ourselves to (eat) evil the more control or affect will it have on us.

People may think is it impossible for us to isolate ourselves from evil because we live in a world full of evil. Do we not go out of the city for a moment of silence? Is it that there is no noise in the country? No, for there is no place on earth where there is no sound, but the sound in the country side is natural not man created and is pleasing. Even while in the city we do not listen to all that we hear, what is loud or is important is what we listen, the other sounds may enter our ears but get ignored by our brains, similarly is with all what we look at is not what we see.  

We need to know the importance of the two main input sources to our inner-man, and if we control them then we will have less problems handling that which comes out from within. Even if it has entered us let us learn to silence it by ignoring it, the more we entertain it or meditate on it the louder they get. So let us focus on discerning what we see and what we listen even though we may look and hear many things, so as to avoid the struggle within us.

You Lord created us in spirit in the beginning of creation and when we came into the flesh in the wombs of our mothers we became a living soul, meaning our souls became moldable. Lord help us discern everything we see or hear, also help us to not give importance to things that can harm us or do not edify us, so that we struggle less with that which comes out of us...

Things we do and need to do

2 Thessalonians 3:4 And we have confidence in the Lord touching you, that ye both do and will do the things which we command you.

In today’s message the KJV literal translation may seem a little confusing but when we go to simpler versions like ESV it makes the message clearer “And we have confidence in the Lord about you, that you are doing and will do the things that we command”.

The Thessalonians were more mature than all those churches to whom Paul and his team wrote to (they wrote only to the spiritually growing churches and not to mature churches like Berea). Yet we find the Thessalonians were falling back on their preparation for death and Judgment Day.

Each one of us needs to prepare for our death (spiritual sleep in Christ) and then to stand before the Judgment seat.

Do we know the hours that pass while we are asleep, no; similarly after we die we will not know the time that passes while we sleep in Christ, our waking up on His coming will be like another moment, like a minute passed. Therefore let us not be careless, casual, negligent, thoughtless about Judgment Day.

Grace helps us overcome the penalty of sin by breaking the curse of Hell, it also helps us to be in Christ but grace does not give us the green ticket to Heaven. We need to spiritually follow Christ and grow in Him. If we fool ourselves to think by grace everything will happen then we will be utterly disappointed.

True without grace it is impossible to follow Christ and grow in Him but grace allow does not do the job, we need to put our 2 bits. This 2 bits is not works of righteousness but works of faith. In Revelation 2:19 the Lord speaks of works (of righteousness), love, service (ministry), faith, steadfastness and works (of faith) and then says the last works of faith will be given more importance than the others..

We need to understand our works of faith confirm our faith, our love, our dedication, our ministry in Christ, i.e. our social service without spiritual service will be seen as love by this world but not by God because that which pleases but does not edify is not true love. Also if we are giving the Gospel and making Believers but later leaving them for the beasts of this world to devour than what ministry are we running? Our reward is to save souls (bring them into the Kingdom of God) not to introduce them or show them brochures of God’s Kingdom; true the Holy Spirit helps us but nowhere does scripture say He alone will do it, He is called ‘Helper’.

Let us not deceive ourselves with false grace, false love, false ministry, false commitment else we will find ourselves amongst those in Matthew 7:21-23 whom Jesus says He does not know or amongst the foolish virgins who were not allowed to enter with the Bride since they ran out on extra oil (which they needed to provide themselves) Matthew 25:1-12..

Always remember our assembling together

Hebrew 10: 25  Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some [is]; but exhorting [one another]: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

We see many scriptures talking of warning of End day written almost 2000years and yet we are called to abide in them not that the end is coming in our lifetime. Even though from study of scriptures we learn the end would be between 2300AD and 2500AD yet we ourselves need to be ready for it as if it would be tomorrow.

We as Believers know because we believe in Christ the curse of Hell is broken in our lives and we are saved from it. Yet we do not go to Heaven immediately on our death but sleep in Christ ([NT] bosom of Abraham / [OT] gathers unto our people) and will rise on Judgment Day with the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Today’s scripture tells us to live our lives every day being ready for Judgment Day so that when we rise we do not find ourselves amongst the goat but find ourselves amongst the sheep. Let us not judge ourselves as to what people see us, but judge ourselves as to what we see ourselves. We need to look at ourselves in our spiritual mirror and ask ourselves if we are ready.

Authority in the Name of Jesus

Acts 3: 6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.

We know the term ‘in the name’ does not mean to simply take the name but refers to our belief in the identity of the person, it also refers to the nature or position of the person.

As I learnt more of the scripture being in the Name of Jesus meant putting on the lord Jesus Christ or taking on His Nature. But in my walk I realized even when I was a Catholic and knew very little of Him yet I have seen many miracles and wonders being done by me in His Name.

We have seen many Evangelists and Preachers start with a bang but slowly swindle away spiritually even though their ministry may stay strong. It is because to be in His Name we need to keep growing and cannot be stagnant. If we take Christ for granted we lose our authority in Him.

Jesus gave us authority to do certain things like healing sickness, weakness and driving away evil spirits, for this believe is all that is needed, but as we grow spiritually in Him we become more and more Sons of Gods and regain our dominance over this world which the Lord as given us.

Let us keep the lamp burning and to make sure the lamp is burning we need to make sure we have enough oil for our lamps.

Partakers of the Divine Nature

2 Peter 1: 4  Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

When a person is told as Christians they need to be like Jesus Christ, those who do know little of Him find it difficult but okay, but then those who know more of Him, say it is an impossible task.

Yes for us individually it is just impossible to become like Jesus, the day we become like Him (as human) we become Sons of God and then the purpose of the world ends and Judgment Day is at hand. It is just mind boggling to realize that it takes the whole of mankind (trillions and trillions) and thousands of years to produce just 2 who become like Him. It was because of 2 we lost our inheritance in Heaven, and God restores it to us all (His people) for just 2; that is His righteousness.

Each one of us grows in Him and helps the other to grow that is the secret of our success; that is why we need to fight our own battle and at the same time help others in their battle. We need to get it into us our success is in being together as a body. So let us connect to each other and help each other (more spiritually than socially).

Our baptism in Christ is our journey towards becoming Sons of God and this journey demands we keep shredding our sinful nature and keep putting on more and more of His perfect Divine Nature. It is only those who remain on this journey till their last breath are the ones who are saved.

Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are an Awesome God. You are Righteous and Holy, yet in your Mercy You made a way not only for our restoration but also for our promotion in You. Lord we pray we understand the importance to stay in You, to battle our nature, to put on your Nature and at the same time help ours in their journey in You...

You your own enemy

Colossians 1: 21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in [your] mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled

We always hear people naming Satan as the cause of all problems but in reality they are making an excuse for their spiritual problems and weaknesses.

Yesterday as I was hearing people online blaming Satan with intensions to destroy them and later as I was sharing on the few days just before Judgment Day I realized when Lucifer the Cherubim is set free he does not go about killing the people of God but goes about making them lose their faith in God using means like fear, deceit and seduction of lusts. What is amazing within just a few days he manages to spiritually destroy all those alive in the world, to a state that no Believer is alive thus causing the destruction of the world to come and the Lord’s Judgment to come like it happened in Sodom and Gomorrah.

Life and death is in the hands of God alone. Satan has no interest to kill you physically, it is in his interest you live and he uses you as a tool to destroy others. By killing a Christian he will confirm his or her going to Heaven by making the person a martyr, thus will avoid doing it. Satan’s primary intention is to spiritually destroy us and for this he needs to use our minds, our inner-man. If we are in guard of our inner-man then he has no power over us, it is only when we let down our guard that he forms alliance with our weakness and sets forth our destruction. Bible describes Satan as liar and robber who wants to kill us spiritually.

Even when we take the case of Job, God had to give permission to Satan to infect problems in the life of Job. Satan wanted to break Job inside and tried pushing the envelope further and further to the extent of using his friends talking about God against him, but did not succeed.

Today’s message tells us our minds are our cause of making us the enemy of God and alienating us from Him. Let us understand our minds are the doors for the enemy, if we control it then no one, not even Satan can harm us. Let us make the walls high and strong with truth of God’s Word and His Kingdom.

The eyes of understanding

Ephesians 1: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

One of the greatest hurdle to those who believe in evolution theory is the eye. The eye is one complex mechanical and biological machine which just astonishes the greatest minds. The highest quality mobile cameras made today are just about 108megpixel resolution and the human eye is 576 megapixel resolution! Yet there are these ‘scientist’ who want us to believe what human technology which took ages to develop and yet could not match happened by itself in a dirty pit over thousands of years, just because these men want to deny the existence of an ‘intelligent designer’ (God) of all creation..

What is interesting further is the design of the eye is not just an engineering marvel but also a spiritual marvel. Jesus said ‘the light of the body is the eye’, He was not referring to just the sense on sight for even sound plays a very great role in our knowledge and character building. He was moreover referring to the symbolism of the eye than the organ.

As I was studying the inner-man, its various parts and their functioning according to the books of Moses and Psalms (they were initially 5 parts according to the books of Moses), I found the design and functioning of the eye gave great details of the working of the inner-man.

Our 5 natural senses are inputs to our inner-man, each and everyone plays an important role in molding our inner-man. What is more important how we use and control them, abusing them but watching, hearing, eating (tasting), feeling and smelling things that are not good can cause not only harm to our physical body but more over to our spiritual body. The damage in the start may be slow and not noticeable but over time it picks up at speeds which one will not have control over. So let us not ignore them even though we may not sense any problem.

We are called to be His disciples and not just believers and thus need to understand the state of our inner man is connected to our inheritance in Heaven and if the image of God is not in us then we will not inherit His Kingdom.

The journey from Garden to City

Revelation 21: 23  And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb [is] the light thereof.

Today’s scripture summarizes the purpose and result of the Bible, of why God created man.

Although in spirit man was as the Angels having the image of God yet because he was created in the flesh, he was lower than the Angels. Like the angels man had access to the Heavens / the Garden of Eden / Paradise. It was evil promoted by Satan that caused corruption into man, that caused him to be bound in the flesh and thus the doors of Heaven were close for him. By the sacrifice of Christ and working of His Spirit, man overcomes evil at the end and again gains access to Heaven.

The story does not end with situation being like in the start, here we see since there were 2 in Heaven it is referred to as a Garden / Park but at the end since many souls enter Heaven by taking the places lost by the fallen angels it is now called a City. It does not end with just restoration but with an upgrade.

Moreover, people assume the word ‘lamb’ in today’s scripture refers to the Lord Jesus Christ but when we look at the Greek text the word is ‘arnion’ and not ‘amnos’ used for the animal lamb as in John 1:29,36. Arnion comes from the word ‘arrhen’ which means man / male. It is for this reason some of the translations use the term ‘ram’ (male sheep) instead of ‘lamb’.

Man was deceived to go against the Lord by Satan, saying by doing so he would become like God (have greater glory). People err thinking man ate to have eternal life, they do not realize death can due to sin and man at that time had not sinned and had access to the Tree of Life so as to live forever (Heavenly beings eat from it as an when necessary).

Jesus challenged the Jews with the OT scripture in John 10:35; they had no answer for it since they never understood it, even today Christians do not understand it. They fail to realize the awesome plans of God the Father for not only man but also for the Heavenly Angels of whom we become part of and who have not seen the Father thus seek Him through our success.

It is only when we understand what is set for us in Heaven will we overcome all kinds of problems or challenges that we face here in this life.

Philosophy and Bible

Acts 17: (For all the Athenians and strangers which were there spent their time in nothing else, but either to tell, or to hear some new thing.)

The English word philosophy comes from Greek word ‘philsophia’ which means ‘love for wisdom’.

In today’s scripture we read about Athenians were questioning Paul on the doctrines that he was sharing in Athens. They did not condemn Paul but were showing interest to know more about what he spoke. When we read such things we feel good about these people, having respect for them.

If we go into the background the place Athens at that time was world famous for its schools on philosophy. The term philosophy is defined as study of general and fundamental questions about existence, knowledge, values, reason, mind, and language. When we read this we think of the Athenians as wise people but in reality they were the opposite when it came to spiritual matters. The place was famous for temples to many gods and especially goddesses. They were habitual idol worshippers believing in mythological stories of all kinds.

In today’s world India is called a ‘spiritual heaven’ just because one sees many beliefs and traditions been practiced here. The religious Indian leaders are looked up to as wise learned people but when one spiritually discerns things it is just the opposite. One just gets amazed why the basics are not visible to these people who talk great things.

Worldly philosophy is like the story of the team of blind men who went to the zoo to see an elephant and holding different parts of the elephant started comparing the whole elephant to various objects. The concept of philosophy started with Babylon and it became the world’s center of learning. Since Daniel headed this country at a high position, its influence throughout the world was positive. India during that time was greatly bless so much so the Magi who paid homage to the infant Jesus are believed to have originated from this continent. After Babylon it was the Greek and then Romans who took on the torch of philosophy but they did this without questioning the mythological beliefs they already followed.

We Christians too follow the same footsteps. There are many beliefs which we think are Christian and do not question them just because many have been following them since ages. The thought that always derails us is, if they approved it then it must be right.

Bible tells us those who believed in the Lord were found to be 10 times wiser than those of the world. So let us demonstrate how different we are compared to the world by letting the light shine through us.

Hijacked by the Devil

2 Timothy 2:26  And [that] they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.

Initially when came out of the Catholic Church I was over passionate of getting other Catholics out of the snare of the devil which I was in and above all I enjoyed challenges so went directly for the sharks, the priests since I was close to them from childhood. I had heard of their personal testimonies of how some of them had an encounter with the Lord and thus pursued to become priest not knowing they were falling in a greater trap of the devil.

Today most of them know what they are doing is wrong yet continue out of fear of those about them in the system and secondly due to their family / social relations pressure/respect. Even worse is the situation of many nuns who are either physically or mentally abused, still do not try to escape this trap all for the same reasons. Some who are willing to dare say if they get a shelter they will do so the next day.

Many of the youths who join Catholic seminary and leave it in between turn into atheist or agnostics due to the things that are taught or done to them there.

What is even sadder, is after I got more and more connected to Believer Churches the story I saw was not much different especially in many mega Churches. Running a church is become a business and has less to do with saving souls but more to keep the finances running. I have seen many who were on fire for the Lord turned into mechanical robots, their love for Pastor Meetings and conferences is more than to study the Word of God and grow spiritually.  They know more of what Toms, Dicks and Harrys of the world preached than what is written in scriptures. If one tries to correct them then that person takes the place of the devil in their lives.

When I came into the Lord I joined one of the most successful Indian mega Church and fellowshipped there. In the first 2 years itself I was told by the Lord to confront a senior Pastor on a teaching, as I witnessed the response I was given the message by the Lord that He was going the split that group into many so that He could teach them. Today after 10-12years quite a few of them have spiritually grown more than what they were, but a couple are still in the same state.

Today itself in a vision I was shown a couple of well known Church leaders who will see the fate that first lot of Israelites who left Egypt saw in the desert. I got this scripture to write on later in the morning as a confirmation.

The 15 days journey from Egypt to the Promised Land is not what many can take since their hearts are full of lust thus the Lord needs to take them through the 40years long journey of challenges and difficulties to break the hardness of their hearts so as to possibly save them from the snares of the devil.

Lord You are God. You Lord love your people and even though in their foolishness they become victims of vanity yet You do not forsake them. You make ways for change and put all efforts to bring a change in them while there is even a little hope. Lord we pray we do not come to the state of Balaam a greatly anointed Man of God for whom there was no hope due to the hardness of his heart with lust of this world....

Dietary beliefs needed or not needed

1 Corinthians 8:8 But food will not commend us to God: neither, if we eat not, are we the worse; nor, if we eat, are we the better.

Today’s message talks of food and spiritual beliefs connected to food. As an Indian one will surely come across people daily who have extreme opinions about it.

Hindus think meat makes them unholy since it is associated with life and blood even though they worship god and goddesses whose mouths drip with blood, demanding blood sacrifices and gods who hunted animals. If one goes through medieval Hindu text (Hinduism is misbelieved to be ancient, Sanskrit itself is dated as 500BC) one sees many scriptures promoting meat eating and too of cows, but all this took a drastic change when the lower labor caste amongst Hindus started eating meat. We find not only the upper religious caste became vegies, they even went aggressive against the lower caste by declaring the animal they usually ate, as holy. Soon stories of how the cow housed all gods and goddess became part of the mythological belief system.

Many think even Christianity has strong beliefs with regards to food since OT mentions clean and unclean animals but when we read NT we find the opposite. Did Jesus change what the Lord spoke through the Prophets? To this Jesus said He did not come to change but to fulfil it. What Jesus did was reveal the truth. Like humans who do wrong are not enemies but the evil in them is, thus we are called to love them but battle against the evil in them. Similar way animals are not unclean but the nature which is imbedded in them is unclean. God created them in different images for us to understand the spirit world. Although cattle are given to us as staple meat diet yet there is not restriction for us to eat other animals.

When God created man he was a vegetarian but after he sinned he started eating meat for it had to do with understanding and accepting blood sacrifice.

Animals are identified as herbivorous or carnivorous by their dental structure. We humans did not grow canine teeth overnight but were made with it. Generations after generations who follow vegetarianism do not lose their canine teeth nor do they transform. God made us like this in the beginning knowing we will need to eat meat so as to understand the sacrifice of Christ.

The Hebrew word for meat comes from the root word message. Eating or not eating is not important but the message / understanding is important. Paul did not force anyone weak in faith to eat meat, but question is should they stay weak in faith? Natural rituals/practices may be needed to help us spiritually but when the ritual/practice goes against or defeats the spiritual understanding God made it for, then we make ourselves as gods.

The Mystery of Semeron

Hebrew 4: 7  Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.

The word ‘to-day’ in Greek semeron is one of those words which I will never forget for it took me almost 6 months to rattle out its meaning. You may wonder how is it possible a word takes 6 months to understand!

I had an understanding of scripture via the various revelations that God gave me and while debating with a Catholic priest he threw in this a scripture which had the word semeron and that had me to end the debate without conclusion. It took me 6 months of pursuing with the Lord on this for that word seremon as ‘to-day’ (this day) would cause all the revelations I received to be not of God but of the flesh (own understanding) or even demonic.

It was after a long pursue the Lord asked me to look at what He had written, until that time I was looking at what the English translators had written and all translations had the same text so I did not question it. But when I went to the Greek word and tried to understand it (at that time I have no knowledge of Greek else it would have been easier) I found there were multiple meanings to the word semeron – this day (today), that day and which day. It was only on seeing the context of the scripture does one know what meaning to apply. It is like in Hindi we have the word ‘Khal’ which can mean ‘yesterday’ or ‘tomorrow’ the past or future tense of the verb in the sentence confirms its meaning.

Today’s scripture warns about hardening our hearts when the Lord speaks to us, we see the English word ‘today’ been used that too with a sentence that is indefinite in time. The Lord can speak to us any day or any time and it does not refer only to a specific calendar date. It also does not refer to a singular incident as in a day, but of every time the Lord speaks we are cautioned not to harden our hearts.

In other religions one becomes part of that religion by performing a ritual, but in Christianity one has to remain a Christian every day. There is no green card that qualifies a person as Christian, also keeping of traditions does not certify any one to be Christian. Christianity is like walking a spiritual uphill so we run the danger of backsliding even when we stand in one place, thus we have to keep moving ahead to be on the journey called Christianity.

Sins can be hid not Good Works

1 Timothy 5: 24,25  Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some [men] they follow after. Likewise also the good works [of some] are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid.

We find many scriptures that tells us to not advertise our works of righteousness like giving alms or socially helping someone and if we advertise we have already received our reward, if we do not then the Lord will reward us.

In today’s scripture we see it speaks of good works (works of faith) unlike works of righteousness these cannot be hidden, even when a person tries to conceal works of faith, they soon or later become visible, since they bear good fruit i.e. bring one person to Christ and the people around that person also come to know Christ.

Paul highlights that some Believers can hide their sins but some do it blatantly, having an apathetic behavior to what will happen on Judgment Day. 

Can anyone hide anything for God? Even though on Judgment Day, Son of Man - Christ as man (spirit man) will judge us yet nothing will be hidden.

Jesus said on Judgment Day when we resurrect we will be as the Angels. What people do not understand is, sin or Fruits transform us from within, for bad or for good. If we are corrupt inside, continuing in sin even after knowing Christ, we will surely transform on Judgment Day not as the Heavenly Angels of God but as fallen angels/evil spirits. Those who are in Christ will transform as the Angels of God and thus will enter Heaven. Like sheep are visibly different from goats so will be those who are in Christ will be from those who are not in Christ.

On Judgment Day all that is natural ceases to exist. The New Earth (Nation) / New Heavens is all spiritual for the Lord’s Kingdom comes in fullness of its glory.

Although it was all good yet You allowed it corrupt so that it can be transformed and lifted up for greater glory. Be in Him

1 John 2: 28  And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.

Just a couple of days back a brother called me since a few of his Church members were debating on Romans 8:1. Most were of the view that if one simply believes in Jesus Christ then there is no condemnation, from these a majority stated that no condemnation meant they would not be judged and would go to Heaven.

The problem with us is we assume things and that too after eating away parts of scriptures. By doing this we mislead ourselves and also mislead others.. We then are not punished for what we have done but also get punished for the blood of others that is on us.

Yes Romans 8:1 does say ‘there is no condemnation for them which are in Christ’. The words ‘in Christ’ does not mean just believing in Christ but means those who actually follow Him, those who put on the nature of Christ. The scripture itself goes on to define the words ‘in Christ’ by saying those ‘who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit’. That means only those who overcome the flesh /carnal self and are led by the Spirit of God.

A soldier who goes to another country for war but does not go into the battle field and if he dies of sickness then can he be considered a martyr? Unless the soldier steps into the battle field he is not considered ‘on duty’. While on the battle field the soldier may not have had a great success of killing many from the enemy, but even been active on the battle field qualifies him as being on duty. Similarly unless a Christian does not step into the mission of Christ doing the work He came on earth for and being an example like Him, that person is not considered a Christian. It does not mean that person needs to be perfect or minister to thousands, all he or she needs to do is make efforts to the best of his or her ability.

All of us need to get it into us that Judgment is not for the unbelievers but for the Believers. The flock is judged, the sheep are separated from the goats. Unbelievers are already judged so they go to Hell, but the goats who are judged on Judgment Day will receive a punishment worse than unbelievers. Unbelievers suffers their sins in Hell, but since Believers (goats) are forgiven of their sins they do not suffer their sins but are punished for rejecting His Will / Word in a place worse than Hell, made for the fallen angels where ‘there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth’.

Let us not fool ourselves by part interpreting scriptures, we do not change the Word, but get condemned more for doing it. The Lord said He does not expect us to be perfect and strong to overcome the enemy, He said He will fight the battle for us, but provided we also step into the battle field. In OT none of the battles which the Lord promised Israel victory we see the Israelites sitting at home and receiving victory, they had to step into battle themselves and do the little they could.

Revelations of Scriptures

Ephesians 3:5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

In my initials days of Bible study as I was very passionate to know more and more the Lord started revealing the hidden depth of scriptures like I never dreamt. The method and application of the treasures I received/receive, in my case is different from others since my Calling is of a Teacher.

In the Bible, Truth is symbolized by the pomegranate fruit. If one opens and observes it minutely, the whole fruit is divided into sections by thin membrane which does not disturb the structure of its internal design. Each of the seedlings are unique not having no other identical to it. They are shaped like diamonds but with un-uniformed sides, the numbers of sides vary and the also the proportional of each side is not the same, thus the place of one seedling cannot be taken by another, also the same seedling cannot be turned by even a degree in its own place it would cause air gaps.

Each scripture or even every biblical word has multiple revelation as per application.. But no revelation from God at any point will contradict any other, so to confirm its proper position it needs at least 2 or 3 sides (scripture understandings) properly fitting (with none conflicting). Therefore us even though the Prophets and Apostles of the Bible did not know everything yet we refer to their teachings for they have set the guidelines for us.

Jesus said the day the truth is fully revealed we will be set free. That means right from the beginning of mankind till this day the Lord has been revealing more of more of His truth unto man through His Spirit (Spirit of Truth). People think Satan can destroy mankind any time and the battle therefore needs to be fought against him. Actually that is not the fact, Satan is not allowed to destroy the people of God till the day the truth is not fully revealed. The day we know the truth he is given power to overcome the Saints (Men of God) and the moment he does it (within days – not months or years as people believe) the Lord appears with His Saints/Angels to close his chapter forever. It is similar to Jesus till He did not finish His work no one could harm Him.

The battle between us and Satan is about knowing the truth. Satan tries his best to delay or prevent us from knowing the truth and that is why he is called the prince of air/doubt. Jesus gave faith as a mustard seed not for its size but because it does not have any air gap as most seeds do.

Revelation cannot be learnt or labored for, it is a gift from the Holy Spirit (Spirit of Truth) whom every Believer in Christ is promised when they accept Christ as their Lord and Savior and who starts the work in them when they are baptized in Him. Revelations already received can reveal more, but knowledge and understanding by a human cannot bring about true revelation. Revelations are error free while understandings have errors, revelations build on each other but understandings need replacements.

As we seek to learn about scriptures let us always remember no man can bring the perfect understanding of scriptures like the Lord can. What the Lord has revealed before through His anointed ones are guidelines to discern what we receive ourselves, so as to confirm its source.

Love needs pure, good and without hypocrisy heart

1 Timothy 1: 5  Now the end of the commandment is charity {love} out of a pure heart, and [of] a good conscience, and [of] faith unfeigned:

In today’s scripture the Lord through Paul speaks of true love; true love needs a heart that is pure, a conscience good and faith that is without hypocrisy.

When we look deeper into the words and their symbolism the words ‘pure heart’ speaks of the inner-man without corrupt. This is something that none of the present ‘us’ will achieve, the day we achieve to overcome corruption, the end comes at hand. So it speaks of pursuing our battle over corruption.

Conscience and faith are both aspects that are part of our inner man.

In the heart we have 2 types of consciences (one I call ‘Conscience’ and other ‘Discernment’ - even though both are similar) one that connects our inner-man to the spirit world (Conscience) the other our inner man to this world via our senses (Discernment). Conscience connects us to the spirit world which is our own spirit, the Holy Spirit (Lord) and other spirits beings like Angels/angles (fallen). Discernment on the other hand through our 5 senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste lets information flow into our hearts to process and influence.

Faith is part of our mind where our knowledge and understanding is stored. The strength of the inner-man to hold on to this knowledge and understanding of the Kingdom of God defines the quality of our faith.

Love is the most abused and confused word. We use it in place of lust, obsession, infatuation, etc. even something like hate we camouflage it into love (in psychology is termed ambivalence).

The Lord is telling us our love towards God and even the people of God, depends on the things that enter our hearts both from the natural world and the spirit world. If we expose ourselves to things like sex then our love will be actually lust. If we expose ourselves to things like sex then our love will be actually obsession or even ambivalence. If evil enters our hearts that our love will be delusion. In other words if our consciences (both) are not controlled then purpose of our love will be wrong and thus the love itself will fail.

Love has only one purpose and that is edification. Many translations use the word ‘charity’ instead of ‘love’ since we have corrupted the meaning of this word ‘love’. The Lord is telling us if the truth is not in us then our love is not true love.

Lord You are Almighty God. Your Word says your Kingdom is not of this world. This world hates You and your Kingdom for the things of this world are corrupted. Lord we pray we discern these corruption both of this natural world and that of the dark spirit world. Dead faith

James 2: 17  Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

We all know about the incident of the fig tree that is mentioned in the Bible, wherein Jesus in hunger approached the fig tree which He saw from far, for figs and since He could not find any figs, He cursed the tree such that it died from its roots. This incident was hard for the disciples themselves to digest as to why Jesus cursed a tree to death simply because it had no figs!

Fig trees are believed to have originated in the Middle East in villages near ancient Jericho and archeologist have traced it back to over 11,400 years. They then spread to Egypt, China, India, and the Mediterranean. The ‘breba’ crop ripens first, early in the season, followed later by the main crop.

The incident can be understood only when one has knowledge of fig tree. Figs in the region, turn from green to reddish brown when ripe (also called Brown Turkey figs). These figs are sweet, delicious fruits that have rusty red to purplish skin and richly toned pink flesh inside. Jesus must have seen the color brown from far thus in hunger approached the tree for figs but did not find any figs since the leaves heavily infected with fungus had turned brown and were mistaken as fruits.

Jesus was not behaving like a spoiled brat when He cursed the fig tree for not having figs, but was wanting to send us a message.

In the Bible the people of God are symbolized as the olive tree and the flock (including sheep and goats) as the fig tree. Even in this Israel (sheep) are symbolized as the ‘breba’ (first fruit) of the fig tree (Hosea 9:10).

Indians may be familiar with the banyan tree which is one of the 750 species of the fig tree. When one sees a banyan tree in fully growth, it branches spread over a large area and its trunk looks like many trees in one, since many a times the hanging roots wrap around it and fuse with it. It grows to a height of 100feet and can live for a thousand years.

Today’s scripture of faith without works (of faith) is like a tree without fruits.. We know time and again the Lord reminds us of His wrath when He finds a tree without fruit on Judgment Day. He in simple words tells us that the punishment which will be mended out on these will be worse than those in Hell (who suffer their sins like burning coals within them).

In simple words those within Church and not being a part of the functional Body of Christ will suffer worse than those who are not part of the Church. Let us action our faith and not be bearers of a dead faith.

Gifts and Works

James 2: 21, 22  Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect?

Today’s topic is one topic which I have someone or the other coming with great passion to debate or correct me, that salvation is a gift and not by works.

The moment they see the word ‘works’ it triggers the warrior in them to fight a battle. They then shut their ears and eyes and just go about swinging their ‘human sword’. I say ‘human sword’ since they quote less scriptures and more their preacher.

The epistle of Romans written by Paul to the Christians (mainly of Jewish origin) in Rome is considered a difficult letter by many not because it is actually difficult (all his letters are basically milk) but because of the generic terms he uses a lot in the letter and that causes a lot of confusion. Like the term ‘law’ which he says is good and then says it can lead to destruction. The reason is at times he refers to the ‘Law of Moses’ (the assumption they derived of scriptures and the traditions they set based on that assumptions) and at times to the ‘Law of the Lord’ which is the commands the Lord gave through Moses. Even though both root from the same scriptures the difference is what they assumed and what actually is, one can destroy and other build a person.

It is in the letter to the Romans that Paul uses the term ‘gift’ a lot and only clears it later in his letter to the Ephesians. He talks of grace being a gift and then later confirms there are different types of grace (Corinthians). The grace of salvation (to be saved from Hell), grace to overcome ones weaknesses etc... He then confirms that grace of salvation is free because of the seed of faith that we received freely. It is by letting the seed of faith die and come alive in us that lets us access the grace of salvation from Hell. This grace no one can take from us as long as faith exist. If faith ceases to exist then surely grace too will cease, so we need to keep the faith alive and the only way to keep the lamp of faith alive and bright is by works of faith.

There are two types of works, natural and spiritual works which concern our (religious) belief. Natural works include things like rituals and traditions, these have the danger of putting the spirit under bondage. Spiritual works are also of two types, works of righteousness and works of faith. Works of righteousness justifies no one and what is dangerous is works of righteousness many a time depends on natural works. Works of faith is a must and without works of faith the lamp of faith will extinguish.

If anyone who claims to believe in Christ and does not follow Him is lying about his faith. Our faith is confirmed by our works of faith and chief amongst them is abiding in His Commandment which includes doing His mission (Will of the Father). It is this aspect of doing works of faith that distinguishes us as sheep from the goats and confirms our going to Heaven, even though both know the Way.

Let us not be like the 5 virgins who did not have oil in their lamps when the Groom arrived.. Let us fill our lamps with oil to keep it burning when the Groom arrives by our works of faith.

The Lord shall deliver

2 Timothy 4: 18  And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.

When people read any scripture without its full context, partly read a sentence they mostly land up twisting the meaning conveying the opposite of what the Lord wants to convey.

Today’s scripture starts with the word ‘and’, it means the verse/s before is/are essential to understand the context of the scripture. Although the scripture says ‘the Lord shall deliver me’ it does not mean one does not need to fight the battle oneself. If we read OT scriptures the Lord delivered those who stepped in the battle flied and not those who simply stayed at home praying.

Faith / believe is very essential but without action these become hollow. A Christian is not just a man of words but also of action. Like his or her words glorify the Lord so also his or her action should manifest the glory of the Lord.

When we read the prior verses we find Paul faced a great challenge with the persons Alexander and Hymeneus who were former Greeks who accepted Judaism and now were Christians. One of the teachings which they twisted was about resurrection of the dead, they confused resurrection with being born-again thus claimed people had already been resurrected, this caused many to lose faith.

We may side Paul and even call these people heretics but do we realize many Preachers today who are followed as Christian icons also preach a twisted resurrection and thus share things like having visited Heaven and seen people (in flesh). We also have almost all Pastors at funerals claiming the dead is already in Heaven with the Lord and the Lord welcoming him or her as a ‘faithful servant’. Ask any Christian and they will say when they enter Heaven they will be judged. People like Catholics who have little knowledge of scriptures think there is an actual gate to Heaven and people are judged at the gate with Simon Peter standing there doing this job!

Since people have twisted information about life after death and Heaven, we find many youth who think Heaven will be boring and Hell would be a better place to go to therefore live life as an agnostic.

Let us discern every Preacher irrespective how famous he or she is. Let us verify every word before allowing it to settle in our minds.

Sound Doctrine

1 Timothy 1: 9, 10 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;

Yesterday’s scripture (Hebrews 6:1) we saw the verse translated the Greek word ‘logos’ as ‘doctrine’ and in today’s scripture we find the Greek word ‘didaskalia’ translated as ‘doctrine’. ‘Didaskalia’ root word/conjugation ‘didaskalos’ means ‘teaching’. Also the Greek word ‘hugiaino’ translated as ‘sound’ comes from the root meaning ‘whole’.

In today’s scripture we find Paul puts all evil vices and ungodly things under the one label of against sound/whole doctrine/teaching.

We always assume the word heretic / Greek ‘heretick’ is to do with wrong teaching as person who errs in understanding, but when one goes into the Greek word it means choosing (giving part meaning). If we look at all man made religions and belief systems, they take a small part of fact and using it they misled people to do things contrary to the whole. Satan is called father of lies not because he lies but because he uses a little truth and twists it to make people go against the plans of God.

If we summarize today’s and yesterday’s message we see a Preacher can be a tool of the devil if he or she does not care to verify facts and study the information they share in their preaching. Their oratory skills and Gifting may help them delivery the work of the devil and not necessary the work of the Lord.

Let us be careful as to what we receive even if that person is an anointed Man of God and his message feels good. These wolves may not be intentional but their lethargic or careless behavior towards the work of the Lord, what they share in the Lord’s Name may cause you to pay a great price.

Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are light for all your plans are for the purpose to build towards good but if the person does not stick to the whole plan it brings the expected end. Logos and Rehma of Christ

Hebrews 6: 1  Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

We hear a lot of preachers who use Greek words in their preaching without really understanding the depth of the word, its conjugations or its root and thus tend to mislead others. We have seen small kids who brag amongst themselves mainly because they have very limited knowledge of things. Amongst kids it is called innocence, but when adults do the same it is called insanity.

One of the most famous Greek words other than Agape misused for preaching are the words Logos and Rehma.

Preachers having no knowledge of Greek language define Agape as ‘God like love’ or ‘unconditional love’, in actual the word simply means ‘love’ and love itself is unconditional. Any love that does not edify or is conditional is not called love and for such we have many other English verbs. We can safely say the world did not know true love until Christ manifested it.

Logos is translated in today’s scripture as ‘doctrine’ and simply means ‘sayings’ or ‘teachings’. One aspect of Logos to other Greek words like ‘epo’ also used for say or speak is that logos is something affirmed, by name or said with knowledge and comes for the word ‘lego’ which means to affirm, advice, exhort etc...

Rehma is usually translated as ‘word’ like in ‘Word of God’. ‘Rehma’ like ‘lego’ or ‘epo’ also means to say but the difference in ‘rehma’ roots from the word ‘reho’ that means ‘to flow’. It points to the aspect of continuity like a stream or life itself, thus can be safely assume as Living Word of God.

When we were little in Christ it is okay to be innocent but as years pass let not the innocence become insanity. We are called to be innocent to sin but towards the Kingdom of God we are called to be filled with knowledge, wisdom and understanding so as to mature into people of authority.

Receive a Man of God with fear and trembling

2 Corinthians 7: 15  And his inward affection is more abundant toward you, whilst he remembereth the obedience of you all, how with fear and trembling ye received him.

The term ‘Man of God’ means a person who is the Lord’s representative, unlike a Priest who is man’s representative to God. In the OT as well as NT (like today’s scripture) a Man of God was feared by the people for he or she demonstrates the power of God, thus is an anointed person having spiritual Gifts.

A mark of a Man of God is his or her spiritual Gifts and without spiritual Gifts there exist no representative of God. God does not sent a person on a mission without enabling that person for that mission. A Man of God can quicken or delay blessings or curses, he or she also has the power to forgive sins, Jesus confirmed this by stating whatever the person having authority binds or sets free on earth will see the same happen in Heaven. The Man of God cannot blindly do anything on his or her own and has to have the consent of the Lord; if he or she does contrary to the Lord then the wrath of the Lord is harsher on him or her than on a non-appointed person also at time one sees instant action taken.

We need to understand as we grow spiritually we receive Gifts of the Spirit thus are more accountable. Let us not think these Gifts can be misused or abused for carnal / worldly reasons and we will get away doing that for long. Like we are called to fear a Man of God let us also fear the anointed one within us.
