Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Is love conditional?
John 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as
I have kept my Father’s commandments, and abide in his love.
We always have spoken of ‘unconditional love’; does that exist?
People call God’s love as unconditional love and yet speak of Judgment Day
where the Lord will judge all of His folk. One of the aspects of God is
that He is slow to anger, ‘slow to anger’ does not mean He does not get
angry.
Let us stop fooling ourselves and thus take God for granted. The Lord is
merciful but as He says He does not have mercy on everyone, but only on
those whom He chooses to and does not on those He chooses not to. This
choosing is not random but conditional i.e. we can keep praying to God for
His mercy and there is no guaranty of receiving it. While grace is all the
mercy required and can be received by faith. That means if we show faith we
receive abundant (as much required) mercy. So a prayer of faith does not
need one crying to God for mercy.
Today’s message talks of continuing in the love of the Lord. Jesus says if
we be obedient to the Lord we will remain in the Father’s love. We cannot
take God for granted neither His mercy, His grace nor His love.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Merciful and Loving Father. You love your children
unconditionally but to be your children we need to fulfil the condition of
being in your image. Lord we pray we abide in You so as to be receiving
from You...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Numbers 14:18 Jehovah is slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness,
forgiving iniquity and transgression; and that will by no means clear [the
guilty], visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, upon the
third and upon the fourth generation.
Psalms 145:8 Jehovah is gracious, and merciful; Slow to anger, and of
great lovingkindness.
Romans 9:15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I have mercy,
and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.
Hebrews 10:30 For we know him that said, Vengeance belongeth unto me, I
will recompense. And again, The Lord shall judge his people.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Children to Sons – Paidion to Huios
John 21: 5 Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They
answered him, No.
We find the NT English translations uses the term child or children to many
different Greek words. It is important to know why different words are used
so as to understand the real context of the scripture.
I listed below the various Greek words and their simple meaning [there is
lots more to these words but that would be a lot to cover here].
Pais παῖς [3816]-refers to a child of any age
Paidion παιδίον [3813]-refers exclusively to little children
Paidarion παιδάριον 3808-refers to a child up to his first school years
Paidiske παιδίσκη [3814]-refers to late childhood and early youth
Teknon τέκνον [5043]-gives prominence to physical and outward aspects of
parentage
Huios υἱός [5207]-gives prominence to the inward, ethical, legal aspects
of parentage
Pais, Teknon denote a child alike as respects to descent and age, reference
to the later being more prominent in the former word, to descent in
Paidion; but the period Paidion cover is not sharply defined; and, in
classic usage as in modern, youthful designations cleave to the female sex
longer than to the male.
We see in today’s message Jesus refers to His disciples literally as little
children [spiritually] as we refer to toddlers. Jesus uses this term to
them even after putting them through 3 years of training and more so after
breathing into them His Spirit.
Spiritual maturity does not come by knowledge or by years of doing
Christian activities. Even after we are baptized in Jesus Christ and
receive the promise of the Holy Spirit yet we are considered as spiritual
toddlers. It is only after baptism in the Holy Spirit like the Apostle had
at Pentecost did they start to spiritually grow and as they gradually
started following the instructions of the Holy Spirit they started their
journey from Paidion to Huios. Huios is mostly translated as Son and does
not mean just male child but means mature, ethnic [edifying] and legal
[heir].
Let us not be fooled to think toddlers will go to Heaven. Let us be led by
the Holy Spirit and grow in maturity by our own walk, edifying the people
of the Kingdom and thus being inheritors of the Kingdom.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You Lord called us to be
Israel – Princes of God – Sons of God. Lord we pray we do not be toddler
but be baptized in your Spirit and grow to become Sons...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
John 20:19-23
19 When therefore it was evening, on that day, the first [day] of the
week, and when the doors were shut where the disciples were, for fear of
the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace
[be] unto you.
20 And when he had said this, he showed unto them his hands and his side.
The disciples therefore were glad, when they saw the Lord.
21 Jesus therefore said to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as the Father
hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them,
Receive ye the Holy Spirit:
23 whose soever sins ye forgive, they are forgiven unto them; whose soever
[sins] ye retain, they are retained.
Mark 1:8 I baptized you in water; But he shall baptize you in the Holy
Spirit.
Acts 1:5 For John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized in
the Holy Spirit not many days hence.
Romans 8:12-18
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after
the flesh.
13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the
Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye
have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the
children {teknon} of God:
17 And if children {teknon}, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs
with Christ; if so be that we suffer with [him], that we may be also
glorified together.
18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time [are] not worthy
[to be compared] with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Giving up Heaven for Earth
Hebrew 12:16 Lest there [be] any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau,
who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright.
Today’s message refers to the incident mentioned in Genesis 25:29-35 where
Esau who worked hard in the field comes home and requests Jacob for a bowl
of pottage. Jacob been shrewd knew that Esau was very tired and desperate
to eat so asks suggests Esau to give up his inheritance for a bowl of
pottage and Esau needing that bowl desperately does promise to give up his
inheritance.
What the Bible does not clearly mention is that the inheritance of Esau did
not refer to any earthly land, it was only latter when walled cities were
built that property within its folds were sellable or owned by a person. In
those days people travelled from place to place and if they found a place
where they could settle down they did, it was only kings who had right to
property. We also need to remember Abraham and his people were Hebrew which
means ‘nomad’ that means they were people who never settled in a place for
long. The land promised by the Lord to Abraham (and there on to Israel-Sons
of God) was not earthly land but Heaven. So when Esau gave up his
inheritance he thought of earthly possessions and did not realize the
actual inheritance of Abraham was Heavenly and not earthly.
Many of us Christians behave like Esau who for temporary desires or needs
give up our eternal inheritance. Riches of this world, beauty of this
world, desires of the flesh, position and recognition in this world and of
the people of this world are some of the few reasons which causes people to
give up on their Heavenly inheritance.
Just day before yesterday I saw a video of ‘Christians’ in Nigeria, at a
‘church’ service where some of the people continually throwing money over
the preacher / worship leader while he was signing praises to the Lord. We
see such scenes at private cabaret where a women dances to the fleshy
desires of the audience and in turn the audience throws money at her.
Sad to say many of our preachers twist and bury the Truth when they preach
so that the congregation does not get hurt and in turn the congregation
pleases the preacher in all his or her worldly needs and pleasures.
Word of God is truly a double edge sword that pierces and works between the
spirit [bone marrow] and soul [bone joints] of a person. If the Word of God
was truly preached in Churches Christianity would not have been what it is
today. Even in mega Churches with over 200 plus congregation we see only 5
or max 10 people active Christians, which is proof it is not the Pastor who
is doing the work amongst the sheep, if it was the Pastor truly leading the
sheep then it should be 90-95 percent active persons. Have we ever
witnessed any such a congregation?
Pastors and Ministry leaders should stop worrying of offending people and
worry more of offending God.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Although You Lord can do all things yet You
entrusted us with leading others to You. This You did so that we would
prove we are your sons. Lord we pray even after You have received your
Spirit we do not seek the desires of the flesh and that of this world. We
pray we be not like Esau to sell our Heavenly inheritance for the desires
of the body...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Genesis 25:29-34
29 And Jacob sod pottage: and Esau came from the field, and he [was] faint:
30 And Esau said to Jacob, Feed me, I pray thee, with that same red
[pottage]; for I [am] faint: therefore was his name called Edom.
31 And Jacob said, Sell me this day thy birthright.
32 And Esau said, Behold, I [am] at the point to die: and what profit
shall this birthright do to me?
33 And Jacob said, Swear to me this day; and he sware unto him: and he
sold his birthright unto Jacob.
34 Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and
drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised [his] birthright.
Hebrew 12:12-17
12 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees;
13 And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be
turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
14 Follow peace with all [men], and holiness, without which no man shall
see the Lord:
15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root
of bitterness springing up trouble [you], and thereby many be defiled;
16 Lest there [be] any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one
morsel of meat sold his birthright.
17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the
blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he
sought it carefully with tears.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than
any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit,
of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of
the heart.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Following the spoken word!
Hebrews 2:1,2,3 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the
things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let [them] slip. For
if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and
disobedience received a just recompence of reward; How shall we escape, if
we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the
Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard [him];
As children we played ‘Chinese whispers’ where a spoken sentence is
whispered in the ear of the person sitting next, who in turn does the same
in a relay to all sitting in a circle; and then everyone laughs at the end
at the result. This happens since people misunderstand words and assume
things in-between.
Muslims have a problem with their Quran mainly because during the time of
their prophet they were not allowed to write down his sayings since he
insisted on them memorizing the verses (ayahs). It was only later that
people started writing them down and amongst them were his own wife Aisha
(the existing Quran is assume be mainly her collection - ironically a large
section believe she was behind his death). But since they wrote on paper
they faced problems like there is a record of a goat eating some of them
and those verses are not found in their book.
Today’s message tells us about following the spoken word yet we do not face
the problem faced by Muslims mainly because the Lord Himself told those
whom He spoke to directly or indirectly to write it down.
In case of the Bible the text was not written on paper since paper did not
exist then. They were written on stone tablets, leather and papyrus (sheets
made of smashed and dried sea weeds/plant). These media had great shelf
life compared to paper thus even today we find them.
The Catholics believe some of the instructions given by the Apostles are
missing thus give importance to traditions thinking in traditions these
instructions are found.
Today the Lord is telling us we do not follow sayings of men not even the
Apostles but follow those given by Angels and the Lord as mentioned todays
message, which was recorded by men. The Apostles followed them and passed
them done through their letters so even if few of their letters are lost,
we have not lost anything since all these sayings were given before Christ
and by Christ (Gospel of John being the last prophetic book). It is for
this reason the Bible’s last book’s last verses says we cannot add or
remove anything to this book(s) meaning the prophetic books which have the
sayings of Angels and the Lord, not historical records like Judges, Kings,
Acts etc. or letters, or testimonies, or books that expound / reveal
scriptures already given like Daniels, Songs of Solomon, Revelations etc...
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty, Omnipresent God. You Lord not only exist everywhere
is space but also in time and realms. David stated inspired by your Spirit
even in Hell a person cannot hide from your presence. Lord we pray we
understand the Bible better and believe it as your Word and not a creation
of man...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Exodus 17:14 And the LORD said unto Moses, Write this [for] a memorial in
a book, and rehearse [it] in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out
the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven.
Matthew 4:10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is
written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve..
Genesis 22:11,15
11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said,
Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here [am] I.
15 And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second
time,
1 Peter 2:21 For hereunto were ye called: because Christ also suffered for
you, leaving you an example, that ye should follow his steps:
2 Peter 1:16 For we did not follow cunningly devised fables, when we made
known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were
eyewitnesses of his majesty.
1 Corinthians 11:1 Be ye imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.
Revelation 22:18,19
18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of
this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him
the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this
prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of
the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.

It is for
this reason the Bible’s last book’s last verses says we cannot add or
remove anything to this book(s) meaning the prophetic books which have the
sayings of Angels and the Lord, not historical records like Judges, Kings,
Acts etc. or letters, or testimonies, or books that expound / reveal
scriptures already given like Daniels, Songs of Solomon, Revelations etc...

even in Hell a person cannot hide from your presence. Lord we pray we
understand the Bible better and believe it as your Word and not a creation
of man...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Satan works within
John 13:22 Then the disciples looked one on another, doubting of whom he
spake.
I have heard many a times ‘Christians’ calling unbelievers as ‘children of
Satan’, ‘Devil worshippers’. If unbelievers are children of Satan then
their bigger brothers are ‘Christians’. If we look at the Bible and in real
life, Satan works more amongst Christians then non-Christians.
Satan is called the father of lies and thus never tell a clean lie, he
always confusing the person with partly truth and partly lie and causes the
person to believe it.
There are many so called ‘Christians’ leaders or self-proclaimed
‘Apostles’, ‘Prophets’, ‘Teachers’, ‘Preachers’, ‘Evangelist’, ‘Worship
Leaders’, ‘Healers’ etc. who are destroying souls intentionally and
unintentionally. It is because of their hardness of their hearts and
stiff-neck attitude they do things that cause damage to the Kingdom.
People think such people hate God or hate Christ therefore do it; that is
actually wrong. Interestingly they love God and love Christ but the problem
is they love something else more than God or Christ, that thing would be
themselves, things of the world or pleasures of the senses.
Judas did not hate Jesus, he loved Jesus therefore left his well to do
family (he is assumed to be from Bethany - small town with few well to do
families like Lazarus’ family) yet had greed for money. He was nick named
‘Iscariot’ which mean ‘city man’ because of his desires for worldly things.
He betrayed Jesus to the Jewish priests thinking they would whip Him 39
times and then leave Him (they did not have powers to put a person to
death, unless Blasphemy charges were proved), but when he saw they managed
to get Jesus to be crucified he felt sorry and killed himself (he did not
ask for forgiveness thus perished).
In the Bible the so called Anti-Christ is not a non-Christian or a Satan
worshipper but one amongst Christians who misleads people twisting things
and distorting the truth. He may even be a passionate Christian but due his
distortion he will destroy souls.
Let us be careful more of those within than those without. As Paul says
judge them which are within and judge not those without for they are
already judged of God.
Let us discern what people preach with the scriptures and also discern
their intentions. Let not our spiritual guard be let down even when amongst
Christians (in Church, in services, Christian events) but be more alert.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and creator of all things. All things that exist are made
of You. Satan too is your creation and You knowing what he would do made
man so as to overcome him. Satan knows he is nothing before You and knows
his end, yet desires to be god over man. He wants to destroy the plans You
have for man. But we know Father the victory is yours and we will surely
overcome Satan. We pray we hold on to your Word and your Spirit every
moment. We pray we be-(a)ware of the ways of Satan...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Fear in the ranks
Acts 16:27 And the keeper of the prison awaking out of his sleep, and
seeing the prison doors open, he drew out his sword, and would have killed
himself, supposing that the prisoners had been fled.
In the dream of Nebuchadnezzar the Babylonian Emperor, the Roman Empire was
symbolized as iron feet. The emblem of Rome was an eagle. Although the
Greek Emperor Alexandra did the ground work for the expansion of the Roman
Empire yet Rome is more know because of it ruthless rule. It was not only
the enemy or its subjects that feared Rome but even the soldiers, at lower
as well at the higher ranks of the Roman army also feared Rome. The Roman
Empire is known to have not 1 or 2 but 8 bloodiest emperors known in
history.
The concept of politics has its roots in the Roman Empire, it was the first
rule /kingdom that had a concept of senate were people other than royal
family members had a say in the ruling of the empire. The senate was very
powerful and feared by all ranks of the army. Justice was quick and hard
even in the high ranks. Every punishment was made very harsh mainly to send
a message to all in the ranks.
When it came to public the mind of Rome could be simply understood by the
fact they created permanent crucifixes (some state of stone) outside large
cities (not 1 or 2 but many Jerusalem had about 9 according to some
historians) where criminals were hung regularly to die a slow death by
harsh nature, without food or water and birds pecking at their flesh. The
Romans called it by its Latin word ‘crucifixus’ which means to "fix on a
cross".
In the case of Jesus since all the crucifixes were occupied, they had Him
crucified on a temporary wooden crucifix therefore nailed Him by His hands
and feet. He was not left to die a slow death because the next day the Jews
celebrated their most important festival the Passover (High Sabbath - main
day after killing of the lamb at sunset) the next day (was a Friday) and
the day after that was their regular Sabbath (Saturday) and no bodies were
allowed to be hung on these crucifixes during Sabbaths. The Assyrians
started the concept of crucifixion but it was well known only during the
Roman rule since they used it very often to drive fear into people’s
hearts.
Today’s message tells us when the Jailer thought the prisoners had fled he
feared the punishment he would get due to his failure. He did not fear
death for he was about to kill himself before he was stopped but feared the
example he would be made by the torture unto death.
Today the Lord is telling us, we Christians are not true Christians because
they have no fear of what we receive for rejecting the Word of God. People
are unaware of the punishment for knowing Christ and His sacrifice yet
rejecting His Word. Jesus describes its pain as a furnace of fire where
there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Let us wake up and understand spiritual death or second death is not like
natural death an instant affair, every person lives their life term until
it perishes (which is thousands of years) bearing the situation that
exists. So let us not pursue life or things of this world which will cost
us more after we die our natural life.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God and the Heavens are your Throne. You Lord are
Spirit and your Kingdom is spiritual. Lord we pray we pursue vain things of
this natural temporary world but pursue things of your Kingdom. Help us
control our desires for things of this world and set our eyes focus only of
your Kingdom. Help us remember the things that await us if we fail You...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

the good into vessels, but cast the bad away.
49 So shall it be at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth,
and sever the wicked from among the just,
50 And shall cast them into the furnace of fire: there shall be wailing
and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 22:12-14
12 And he saith unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a

The Lord’s Name
Romans 9: 17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same
purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that
my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
Today’s message tells us, be those who seek Him or those who go against
Him, both are used for His glory, so that His Name might be declared
throughout all the nations (earth).
In my initial days of Bible study as I read the Bible I would think is our
God a narcissistic - someone who is obsessed with one’s self. Did God
create us to worship Him? Is His only agenda that we dedicate our lives to
Him, serve in bringing others to do what we do? Why does He want us to
proclaim His Name to all mankind? Is life all about Him? It is only when we
really start to understand God and why He is doing this that we realize why
He does it, it is less about Him and more about us.
People think God has created us so that we can worship Him; that is wrong.
If they truly understand worship, then they will realize it is because we
worship the Lord we live and not the other way that we live to worship Him.
With regards to Name of the Lord, what the Bible say as Lord’s name/s are
not really name or names of the Lord but references of who He is i.e. He
called Himself YHWH (Yahweh which in Hebrew (ideogram) means ‘Behold the
Hand Behold the Nail’ thus refers to Christ. Even when He got upset on
being asked His name and responded, they made the response His name, like
when He said “I AM THAT I AM’, they gave the Lord the name ‘I AM’ and
pronounced it in an particular way so that it did not get confused with the
normal term.
Adam when created was the only human and did not have a name, the word
‘Adman’ in Hebrew means ‘man’ and that word became his name. Name is given
when there is an existence of more than one of that species or being so as
to identify one from another i.e. if there existed only one dog then that
animal would be simply be referred as ‘dog’, but if there exist two or more
dogs then we would need to give them names so as to identify one from
another. There is only one God and none other than Him so trying give Him a
name means we acknowledge the existence of other gods.
The Hebrew word for name is ‘shame’ and means reputation. In OT all names
were more of descriptions or promises or proclamations in regards to the
life of that person, place or being. That is the reason in OT when the name
was written in another language the phonics was not taken but the mean was.
When we read scriptures like ‘in the name of Jesus’ or ‘put on the Lord
Jesus Christ’ it mostly means to be in His character or be like Him; ‘lift
up the Lord Jesus Christ’ means to make known who He is, and ‘salvation in
the name of Jesus ’means there is salvation only when we follow Him..
If we want to make known the Lord Jesus Christ, let us understand it is not
more by our preaching but by our living. We need to demonstrate Christ more
than talk about Him.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God, for there is none other than You.
Lord we pray we know You by your Name and be known by your Name. We pray we
seek not a phonics but who You are...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
The kind of disciples the Apostles were
John 21:1 After these things Jesus shewed himself again to the disciples
at the sea of Tiberias; and on this wise shewed he [himself].
In the initial days of one’s spiritual growth almost all struggle (if they
do not, they do not grow), take examples from the OT to the NT.
We read about how Paul in his initial days was chased from Damascus to
Jerusalem to Tarus and then was built before becoming the Paul we know in
Antioch. This period from Damascus to Antioch theology historians’ state
was about 8 years.
With regards to the disciples of Jesus we normally speak of the betrayal of
Judas, the denying by Peter trice, but we rarely speak of the disciples who
deserted Him on hearing His teaching never to return (John 6:60-66) or the
time when His twelve deserted Him after He was arrested in the garden. The
worse amongst them was the time even after His resurrection, appearing to
His disciples in a closed room and allowing them to feel the wounds in His
hands, yet we see the disciples returned back to their personal lives, back
doing what they did before following Him - fishing.
In those days there were many so called ‘spiritual’ leaders like John the
Baptist who became famous for a period and when the person died their
disciples returned back to their routine lives. In case of John the Baptist
most of them continued to follow Jesus. The Romans authorities thought
Jesus to be one of them so did not take Him seriously, it was only after
the baptism of the disciples in the Holy Spirit and the spread of
Christianity did they realize the danger of Christianity towards their
belief.
Christianity is the most hated religion in the world; other religions hate
it because it confronts their beliefs and those who do not follow any
belief are also confronted of their evil way of life. It is not Jesus who
troubles them but His teaching and the change that comes through His
Spirit. If we take the name of Jesus people may not get offended but if we
talk of His teachings and do what He did through the power of the Holy
Spirit then surely we will experience resistance.
Let us get it into us if we do not experience confrontation from worldly
people then there is something wrong with our being a Christian. If we are
following Christ and witnessing Him by the power of His Spirit then surely
we are going to face resistance and confrontation for worldly people.
Let us not bridge the Kingdom of God with the kingdom of this world but
bring the Kingdom of God into this world.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Holy God. Your Kingdom is not of this world for this world
hates You for your Word pierces it. Lord we pray we wake up in spirit if we
are facing confrontation from worldly people. May we not try to bring
Christ down into this world but shine His light in this world so that the
darkness is removed...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
John 6:60-66
60 On hearing it, many of his disciples said, “This is a hard teaching. Who
can accept it?”
61 Aware that his disciples were grumbling about this, Jesus said to them,
“Does this offend you?
62 Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
63 The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. The words I have
spoken to you—they are full of the Spirit[a] and life.
64 Yet there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus had known from
the beginning which of them did not believe and who would betray him.
65 He went on to say, “This is why I told you that no one can come to me
unless the Father has enabled them.”
66 From this time many of his disciples turned back and no longer followed
him.
Mark 14:49-50
49 I was daily with you in the temple teaching, and ye took me not: but
the scriptures must be fulfilled.
50 And they all forsook him, and fled.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Judgment of God
Colossians 3:24,25 Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of
the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ. But he that doeth wrong
shall receive for the wrong which he hath done: and there is no respect of
persons.
We are always told if we simply believe on the Lord Jesus Christ we will
enter the Kingdom of God and inherit a place in Heaven. We have scriptures
which back this understanding. But our biggest problem is we do not
understand the word BELIEVE and think it as just a mental activity [to do
with the mind].
If we look at the first Commandment it says ‘Love the Lord thy God with all
thy heart [spirit], all thy strength [body] and all thy understanding
[mind]’. If a simple thing like love requires all 3 aspects of man [spirit,
body and mind] to be involved then how can believing be just mental.
If we simply believe and accept the Lord on our death bed then we are
saved, but if we believe and continue to live then we are called to be in
that faith and exercise that which we believe. Remaining in the faith is
very difficult since the Kingdom of God keeps progressing we also need to
progress and if we are not progressing we are back sliding. It is for this
reason Christ gave us His Spirit.
When it comes to Judgment we think of God to be like a just human being and
we feel if we have done evil God will punish us irrespective we know Him or
not, others think if we know Him He will not punish us even whatsoever we
do.
Bible says those who do not believe [know the Lord] are not punished by the
Lord, they punish themselves! Since they do not believe they go to Hell and
in Hell they suffer the sins within them, Bible describes Hell as a prison
where sins is like never extinguishing coals of fire [Hell fire is within
not outside] or flesh eating worms that never die. That does not mean all
who simply believe go to Heaven. Bible says the sheep are separated from
the goats (both are of the flock – they that believe). Sheep are those who
do not just believe but obey also, they are the ones who serve the Lord
Jesus Christ – do the mission He gave us of saving souls. Goats will be
sent to the Lake of Fire / Lake of Sulphur where they will suffer for
knowing Christ and yet rejecting His Word, His mission / Father’s Will.
Let us understand being a goat is far terrible than an unbeliever and it
was due to this reason Paul warned the believers of Philippians to work
towards one’s salvation with fear and trembling.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Holy, Righteous and True. You God never change for You alone

cannot blame You for our choice. We pray we are not deceived to think
social service will get us inheritance into your Kingdom. You Lord, desire
souls be saved, the forgiveness and restoration we received from You may be
received by others. We pray we be living Christians and not namesake
Christians...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
What made Jesus cry and groan?
John 11:38, 39 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the
grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it. Jesus said, Take ye away the
stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by
this time he stinketh: for he hath been [dead] four days.
The incident of the death and bringing back of Lazarus to life as
documented in John 11 has confusing reactions of Jesus. It says Jesus
groaned, cried and again groaned. The Greek word ‘embrimaomai’ [to groan]
is translated as ‘to charge with earnest admonition’. So we see anger,
sorrow and again anger.
Jesus knew Lazarus was already dead when a person came to inform Him about
Lazarus not being well. Jesus also knew that He was going to bring Lazarus
back to life when He went there but waited for the 4th day. We also see the
miracle of Lazarus caused people of Jerusalem to welcome Jesus with palms
and shout ‘Hosanna’. It also caused the Jewish priest to not only seek the
death of Jesus but also of Lazarus. To understand this we need to
understand Galilee.
The Jews were divided into 3 groups the Jews (people of south Israel), the
Samarians (people of north Israel) and Galileans (people of Galilee). The
Jews believed they kept the Laws of Moses while the Samarians corrupted it.
What is interesting is Galilee was part of north Israel (Samaria) yet was
identified separately since the people of Galilee were followers of
traditions of various beliefs or religions infused into Judaism. Egyptian
mummification of the death was one of them.
In Judaism a person was simply covered in a cloth and buried, if they could
afford they would put spices while burying. The Galileans would partly
follow the Egyptian rituals with regards their dead especially if they
could afford it. Lazarus and even Mary the mother of Jesus were from
Galilee so they would apply spice to the body before putting it in a cave.
After 3 days some would cut open the body, remove some of the organs and
stuff it with spice mixture. In the case of Lazarus they did the process
(not totally like the Egyptians did). Also during the four days of mourning
of Lazarus’s death, since he was well to do his sisters had hired
professional mourners.
The first time Jesus groaned was seeing the professional mourners. The time
He cried was seeing what they did to the body of Lazarus and the second
time He groaned was seeing the faithlessness of the sisters of Lazarus.
In case of Jesus’ death Mary His mother applied spices while keeping the
tomb and on the third day His mother and other women wanted to simply apply
spice again (not cutting open the body and applying internally like they
did to Lazarus).
There are two times Bible says when Jesus cried once in Garden of
Gethsemane when it was time for Him to be separated from the Father since
He was going to be forsaken for our sins. The second time was at the grave
of Lazarus because at the grave of Lazarus looking at the perversion of the
truth.
There are two places Jesus got very angry first at the Temple where He
drove the traders out for making a prayer place a market place (this
happened twice for both the mentions in the Gospels are of different
periods). The second place was at the tomb of Lazarus when He saw His loved
ones mocking faith.
Let us not make Christ to cry nor make Him groan by following traditions of
men and corrupting the truth in us.
[Prayer Starter]
Father God You are God and You alone are Holy. You Lord have separated
Yourself from corruption so that it can be healed and restored. We pray
Lord we do all things with understanding so that we do not sin against You.
We pray Lord heal us of our perversions...

Acts 9:31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and
Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the
comfort of the Holy Spirit, were multiplied.
John 11:5,6;11-17
5 Now Jesus loved Martha, and her sister, and Lazarus.
6 When he had heard therefore that he was sick, he abode two days still in
the same place where he was.
11 These things said he: and after that he saith unto them, Our friend
Lazarus sleepeth; but I go, that I may awake him out of sleep.
12 Then said his disciples, Lord, if he sleep, he shall do well.
13 Howbeit Jesus spake of his death: but they thought that he had spoken
of taking of rest in sleep.
14 Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead.
15 And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may
believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.
16 Then said Thomas, which is called Didymus, unto his fellowdisciples,
Let us also go, that we may die with him.
17 Then when Jesus came, he found that he had [lain] in the grave four
days already.
John 11:32-44
John 19:40 Then took they the body of Jesus, and wound it in linen clothes
with the spices, as the manner of the Jews is to bury.

[mother] of James, and Salome, had bought sweet spices, that they might
come and anoint him.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Faith can bring forgiveness
James 5: 15 And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord
shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven
him.
We all know it is only God who forgives our sins. But we have majority
Christians who do not understand there are many ways through which God can
forgive.
If we have sinned against our brethren we are asked to reconcile with him
or her and then God forgives us. We are not advised to go to the Lord
directly without first reconciling. Another way of forgiveness are through
the breaking of bread at the Lord’s Table which is for the forgiveness of
sin (Sacrifice of Guilt - sins done unknowingly).
Today’s message talks of when an Elder of the Church prayers over a sick
person the person can be healed through the forgiveness of sins.
Anointing with oil does not mean literally putting oil on the forehead, the
word for oil used here is ‘olive oil’ and symbolizes testimony of the
people of God. So we are asked to share testimonies of healings so that
faith increases and that faith will cause the healing and forgiveness of
sins.
Sickness manifested in man when sin grew in man. The consequence of sin is
corruption of the soul and corruption brings death. Faith can restore
corruption (partly not fully - truth and righteousness together does the
full restoration) thus cause healing and forgiveness. The faith used for
the healing can come from the person who is sick, can also come from the
person who is praying or any person present there physically or in spirit.
It is only when we understand the relations between sin and corruption will
we understand why God hates sin and why sin causes death. Forgiveness of
sin is step A of restoration of a person and unless the step B of
restoration of the corruption does not happen the person is not fully
restored to the Lord. It is for this reason even after Jesus paid the price

It is for this reason even after Jesus paid the price
of our sins yet He made sure that we get to receive His Spirit, so that we
are restored of the corruption [like roving the rust of an object made iron
does not restore it]. It is also because of this reason why only after

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Is Apologetics good or bad?
Acts 9:25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let [him] down by the
wall in a basket.
Today’s message tells us about the dramatic escape Paul Saul (Paul [meaning
- small] was the Roman name given by his Roman father while Saul [meaning -
desire] was the Jewish name given by his Jewish mother) from Damascus after
his debating with Jews about their belief. After this incident he goes to
Jerusalem where the Apostles fear to take him under them, but on the
insistence of Barnabas they accept him and he follows them for a period but
as soon as he starts to debate with the Greek speaking people in Jerusalem,
they too plot to kill him and thus the Apostles send Paul Saul to a safer
place, that is his home town.
I had read this event many a times and even taught the book of Acts in
depth [over a period of a year and half] yet I did not notice something
which I noticed today and that surprised me. Verse 31 says after Paul was
sent to his home town the church not only in Judea but also in Galilee and
Samaria rested but were edified and grew in numbers! Paul’s absence caused
this!
The word Apologetics comes from the word Greek ‘Apologia’ which means ‘to
reply in defense’. This word is used in scriptures by Peter in 1 Peter
3:15. Apologist use this scripture as a benchmark for doing Apologetics.
What we see Paul did in his initial days is not called Apologetics but
called Polemics. Polemics is the antonym [opposite] of Apologetics while
Apologetics is about defense Polemics is about attack. The term Polemics
comes from the Greek word ‘Polemikos’ which means ‘warlike’ or ‘hostile’.
It is sad that people do Polemics and claim to do Apologetics. Jesus used
the term ‘apologia’ in Luke 12:11 where He said when we will be conformed
about our faith not to worry about what to answer [apologia] for the Spirit
of God will lead / inspire us to it.
It is astonishing today I am to attend [as a guest] an ‘Apologetics’
session on the topic ‘Trinity v/s Oneness’. Being an Apologist myself I
backed off from being part organizer of this event a few weeks back and
today the Lord confirmed the decision I had taken.
Let us understand that Peter in 1 Peter 3:15 speaks of the ‘Gospel within
us’ and continues in verse 16 and 17 about the ‘false accusation against us
be given with a good conscience’, and above all says ‘the will of God
should prevail’.
Personally it is very saddening that many Believers not baptized in the
Holy Spirit [led by the Holy Spirit] are into ‘Apologetics’.. I do not blame
these youngsters / newbies for most famous top Apologist today fall into
this category. Bible tells us a person baptized in the Holy Spirit receives
gift/s of the Holy Spirit.
Some historians state an anointed person like Paul took 8 years from his
encounter with Christ to become the Paul in Antioch.
Let us understand just because of having knowledge and knowing how to
debate we do not become an Apologist. Also let us understand being an
Apologist we can doing things against the Kingdom of God instead for the
Kingdom of God. Let us not be the initial Paul who had to be taken away so
that the Church grows.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are full of wisdom. For You Lord it
would not take a minute to expose the Truth to people, but yet You are
patient and have given man a long, long time to learn it and gradually grow
in it. Lord we pray we understand the purpose is more important than the
means. While we do not compromise in the means yet us keep the purpose
above all. May we be led by your Spirit and not do things out of our own
understanding...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Acts 9:22-31
22 But Saul increased the more in strength, and confounded the Jews which
dwelt at Damascus, proving that this is very Christ.
23 And after that many days were fulfilled, the Jews took counsel to kill
him:
24 But their laying await was known of Saul. And they watched the gates
day and night to kill him.
25 Then the disciples took him by night, and let [him] down by the wall in
a basket.
26 And when Saul was come to Jerusalem, he assayed to join himself to the
disciples: but they were all afraid of him, and believed not that he was a
disciple.
27 But Barnabas took him, and brought [him] to the apostles, and declared
unto them how he had seen the Lord in the way, and that he had spoken to
him, and how he had preached boldly at Damascus in the name of Jesus.
28 And he was with them coming in and going out at Jerusalem.
29 And he spake boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus, and disputed against
the Grecians: but they went about to slay him.
30 [Which] when the brethren knew, they brought him down to Caesarea, and
sent him forth to Tarsus.
31 Then had the churches rest throughout all Judaea and Galilee and
Samaria, and were edified; and walking in the fear of the Lord, and in the
comfort of the Holy Ghost, were multiplied.
1 Peter 3:15-18
15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and [be] ready always to
[give] an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is
in you with meekness and fear:
16 Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of
evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation
in Christ.
17 For [it is] better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well
doing, than for evil doing.
Luke 12:11-12
11 And when they bring you unto the synagogues, and [unto] magistrates,
and powers, take ye no thought how or what thing ye shall answer, or what
ye shall say:

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Marveling facts the anointed Simeon spoke of
Luke 2:33 And Joseph and his mother marvelled at those things which were
spoken of him.
Even after Joseph’s and Mary’s encounter with the Angel Gabriel and all
that they experienced before and during the birth of Jesus yet we see they
did not really know who the child Jesus Christ really was and they were
marveled by the facts Simeon was revealing of Him.
Simeon was not a Prophet but is simply introduced as an anointed man [on
whom the Holy Spirit was]. He did not prophesy but spoke that which was
written [OT]. What he spoke after taking the child in his hands is very
important to understand.
1) Jesus Christ is the salvation prepared for all mankind.
He spoke of salvation being made available to all mankind but did not say
all mankind will be saved.
2) Christ is the glory of Israel
When we ask a Jew about Jesus, they will say Jesus was born as a Jew but
was a heretic (false prophet) who formed a religion of His own called
‘Christianity’. The followers of Jesus are not considered Jews. So the
‘Israel’ spoken here is not the tribe but speaks of Sons of God [Israel
means ‘Prince of God’].
3) Jesus Christ a stumbling rock for all mankind, who caused the rise and
fall of many.
As many people come to Christ by knowing Christ but more than that numbers
will see spiritual disaster by knowing Him, for they reject Him. Christ
becomes a stumbling block in the lives of worldly people and causes them to
either chose Him and change, or reject Him and perish [quickly]. Note a
person’s life cannot be the same after knowing Christ; so remember the
Gospel needs to be given at a favorable time in the life of that person. Do
not do things that may cause them to harden their hearts against accepting
Christ.
4) A sword will pierce the soul of Mary.
Simeon does not speak of the suffering of Mary seeing her son suffer, as
assumed by people. Understand Jesus named people ‘Mary’ like Mary Magdalene
and Salome the sister of His mother and was the wife of Zebedee (father of
John and James). The word for Mary in Hebrew ‘Mariam’ means ‘sour’, so was
not a very appropriate name yet we see Jesus used it for the women around
Him since He loved them as His own mother [all the 3 Mary’s were aged].
Amongst them He Himself declared Mary Magdalene loved Him the most since
she was a woman with a long history of sin and was delivered of many vices.
Note Simeon does say the sword will pierce the heart [emotions, thoughts -
Greek word ‘kardia’], but uses the word soul [Greek word ‘psuche’ which
means spirit] thus refers to events after Mary’s death. He spoke of the
evil that would be done in the name of Mary the mother of Jesus, about the
Church which will rebel against God and His Word by taking the name of Mary
the mother of Jesus.
When Catholics ask me if I love and respect Mary the mother of Jesus? I
tell them I as a Believer do it more than what Catholics do; because I do
not hurt her by doing evil against God in her name.
Catholics are deceived by Satan who appears as the women ‘Mary’ and claims
to be the mother of Jesus. They do not understand none of the other
anointed people mentioned in the Bible do anything like this. They also do
not realize the words spoken by this spirit that claims to be ‘Mary the
Mother of Jesus’ [apprehensions of Mary] contradicts the Word and God and
thus evil.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Nothing is hidden from You. Yet You Lord give
man an change to justify the good or evil he will chose or the richness of
Heaven or the vanity of this world which he will gather. Lord we pray we
seek those things of your Kingdom more than the things of this world. God
your people wisdom so that they may see and walk in light...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

[were] both Mary Magdalene, and Mary the mother of James the less and of
Joses, and Salome;

They also do
not realize the words spoken by this spirit that claims to be ‘Mary the
Mother of Jesus’ [apprehensions of Mary] contradicts the Word and God and
thus evil.

Lord You are Almighty God. Nothing is hidden from You. Yet You Lord give
man an change to justify the good or evil he will chose or the richness of

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Creation awaits Sons of God
Romans 8:19 For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the
manifestation of the sons of God.
Jesus Christ paid the price for our sins and was hung on the cross as our
Peace Sacrifice so that He could make peace between God and man and thus
make us eligible to receive His Spirit. It is by the working of His Spirit
in us that we are restored our Sonship and right to inheritance to the
Lord’s Kingdom. If we as Christians do not get this in us then we are not
real Christians and are not truly baptized in Christ.
Christianity is not a better choice amongst many religions but the only way
to go to Heaven and thus receive eternal life. To be a Christian one needs
to be transformed which Jesus said as ‘BORN FROM ABOVE’ and translators put
is as ‘BORN-AGAIN’.
Let us not be deceived to think just by believing we are ready to enter
Heaven. Being qualified and being ready are not the same thing because the
step 2 which is spiritual transformation is only for those (made)
qualified. So by our faith and baptism in Christ (acceptance and surrender
to Christ as our Savior) we receive the promise (token) of the Holy Spirit
and by our baptism in the Holy Spirit we grow in the Spirit and be
transformed.
Another very important thing which most do not understand is individually
as of now we are not going to be perfect in Christ, we all will have
shortfalls. But when we disciple each other and grow ourselves in the
Spirit we better each other than ourselves so that one day at least 2
amongst us will manifest the image of God – become Sons of God. The word
‘Israel’ meaning Prince of God (having power / authority with God) refers
to Sons of God. Jesus Christ is the first true Israel and we by His Spirit
are make Israel to whom the Promised Land (Heaven) is promised.
Bible speaks of the two witnesses who manifest the power and please God. It
is then we read God says ‘it is sufficient’ and calls them up. This is at
this point that Rapture takes place. Rapture is the transfiguration of a
select few Christians who will come with Christ on Judgment Day (which
happens within 3 days / hours of this event). It is on Judgment Day that
the time given to Satan and his fellow angels ends and the punishment due
to them is delivered. The Lord does not battle with Satan as people think,
Paul and Peter state ‘with a shout of an Arch Angel’ Christ claims His
people and thus delivers Judgment.
We are called Sons of God by faith but the complete manifestation of the
image of God in us is far away. Let us understand if there is no
transformation in us and if we are not helping build each other to be
better than us (not as good as ourselves) then we are delaying the
manifestation / coming of the Sons of God.
Today’s message says even though we are unaware of the importance of this
process yet the whole of God’s Creation (including the Angels in Heaven)
eagerly await our manifestation as Sons of God. Bible says when this
happens even the Heavens are shaken and God the Father whom none have seen
(leaving for the Son) will dwell with His Creation. It is for this reason
the Angels are referred to as our associates / co-workers in the mission of
Christ.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Awesome God. Your ways are not the ways of man. You Lord use
the least to do the unthinkable, things that are unimaginable. Lord we pray
we see the importance of our transformation in spirit. We pray we day by
day grow in the Holy Spirit and while getting transformed we help each
other to be better than us so that we quicken the coming of Christ...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Lame and blind will not enter Heaven
Hebrew 12:12,13 Wherefore lift up the hands which hang down, and the feeble
knees; And make straight paths for your feet, lest that which is lame be
turned out of the way; but let it rather be healed.
King David is called a man close to the heart of God and he is like the
Paul of the OT, but when I read 2 Samuel 5 initially I was in wonder what
kind of man was he, we find he not letting handicapped people (blind and
lame specifically) into his city and even goes on to kill them.
In today’s message we read of making our hands that hang to be strong and
so also our knees, such that our path (walk) is straight and we do not fall
off the way. Surely we know it is not talking of our physical hands, our
physical knees and worldly walk, but is symbolic.
Hands represent our works and knees / feet represent our way of life.
Washing of hands symbolized forgiveness of sins we have done knowingly,
while washing of feet symbolizes forgiveness of sins we do without
knowledge (intention). Jesus as man washed the feet of His disciples at the
Last Supper but not their hands. Paul said before coming to the table of
the Lord one needs to come in a worthy manner even though the sacrifice
(body and blood) offered at the Lord’s Table was for the forgiveness of
sins.
To come to the Lord’s Table we need to first deal with the sins we have
done against our brethren intentionally / with knowledge before we ask the
Lord to forgive us for the sins we have done without knowledge. It is for
this reason Paul says many fall sick, suffer and even die, for they mock
the Sacrifice of Guilt.
David had nothing against the naturally lame or blind, his own close friend
Jonathan’s son Mephibosheth was lame. What David did was symbolic to that
which will happen to the spiritually blind and lame on Judgment Day, they
will not be allowed to enter the Heavenly Jerusalem (Paradise).
When Bible says ‘lift your hands and worship the Lord’, we are called to
worship Him in our works or doings. When it says ‘bend the knee / kneel
before the Lord’ it means to surrender our lives to Him. If we do the
natural and do not do what which it symbolizes, we will see no change in us
nor in our lives.
Let us get it into us, if we are far from the Truth and if we do not make
diligent efforts to walk in the way of the Lord there is no way we will be
entering Paradise. So today let us make our limbs strong so that we do not
fall off the way and are allowed to enter the Kingdom of God.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are a Holy God. Your Kingdom is Spirit Kingdom and no place for
the corrupt. Lord we pray we deal with our spirit being and work on our
feeble limbs that we do not fall off the way. We also pray Lord You open
our eyes that we may see and not walk in darkness...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

2 Samuel 5:6-8
6 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the
inhabitants of the land: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take
away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David
cannot come in hither.
7 Nevertheless David took the strong hold of Zion: the same [is] the city
of David.
8 And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and
smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind, [that are] hated of
David’s soul, [he shall be chief and captain]. Wherefore they said, The
blind and the lame shall not come into the house.
1 Corinthians 11:27-31
27 Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread, and drink [this] cup of the
Lord, unworthily, shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.
28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of [that] bread, and
drink of [that] cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh
damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body.
30 For this cause many [are] weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
Colossians 1:14 In whom we have redemption through his blood, [even] the
forgiveness of sins:
John 13:8-10
8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him,
If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
9 Simon Peter saith unto him, Lord, not my feet only, but also [my] hands
and [my] head.
10 Jesus saith to him, He that is washed needeth not save to wash [his]
feet, but is clean every whit: and ye are clean, but not all.

Do not just play a role in the Kingdom; but more which role
Romans 9:17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same
purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that
my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
The Bible is full of various characters. Having their names written in the
Bible does not certify them to be Men / Women of God or to be ‘holy’ people
who will go to Heaven. Today’s message talks of Pharaoh whom God names in
the Bible but was a testimony of destruction, of failure.
There is a misunderstanding that anyone and everyone who is a Christian and
more so a person doing work in a Church or even evangelizing will go to
Heaven. If we go by cases already mentioned in the Bible, it is sufficient
to send a chilling freight down the spine of any person. It is because of
this a person like Paul writes ‘work out your salvation with fear and
trembling’ and that too to Christian believers of the Church of Corinth! It
is this same Paul who wrote a lot about grace and how we are saved by grace
which we receive by our faith, about the abundant love and mercy of the
Lord and about the ‘finished works’.
Just because we are preaching the Gospel or teaching the Bible or leading
people to worship the Lord or doing miracle and even delivering people from
evil spirits is no guaranty that we will go to Heaven. This message Jesus
gives us very clearly in Matthew 7. Him mentioning in Matthew 25 about
sheltering the homeless, clothing the naked, feeding the hungry, quenching
the thirsty, visiting the imprisoned or sick has little to do with natural
homelessness, nakedness, hunger, thirst imprisonment or sickness but more
to do with spiritual homelessness, nakedness, hunger, thirst, imprisonment
or sickness. We see this in the lives of the Apostles in the book of Acts
and their epistles.
Jesus gave us a mission, not to just make believers but to make disciples.
Let us look at all that activities that is happening in the name of
Christianity and the fruits of these works. How many disciples for Christ
they churn out, or how many followers they churn out for themselves?
Let us stop fooling ourselves by making followers for ourselves and think
we are making disciples for Christ. If we cannot release people out to do
the work of the Kingdom by themselves then we have failed in our efforts.
We have drawn them to ourselves but not to the Holy Spirit like Jesus did.
We are trying to play god and a person greater than Jesus.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. There is nothing You cannot do yet You Lord use
mere man who is lower than the Angels for the works of your Kingdom. Lord
we pray we understand the purpose of the mission You have given us. Let us
understand it is not the works we do that You look at but the fruits we
reap that You look at. We pray we look at our fruits until now and wake up
before it is too late...

Matthew 7:21-23

kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Importance of knowing languages
John 19:19,20 And Pilate wrote a title, and put [it] on the cross. And the
writing was, JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. This title then read
many of the Jews: for the place where Jesus was crucified was nigh to the
city: and it was written in Hebrew, [and] Greek, [and] Latin.
In India although we have somewhere around 19,500 languages yet we have
only 22 scheduled languages which are recognized constitutionally.
Interesting many Indian languages do not even have a script and many use
common scripts. We do not have any national language but we have only 2
languages Hindi (Devanagari script) and English earmarked for official
communications.
During the times of Jesus as man walked on earth, there were many languages
which were spoken in Judea but amongst them 4 languages were scheduled.
Hebrew was the language of the temple since all scriptures were written in
Hebrew. Aramaic was the local Jewish language and the Jews started speaking
Aramaic from the time of their exile to Babylon. Kone (common man) Greek
(an Hellenic language) was the official Roman language in Judea and outside
Judea since the Romans ruled a large part of the world (Alexandra did the
ground work of making Greek international known) while Latin was the
language used by Romans rulers and high officials.
Since Aramaic language used almost the same script as Hebrew we see in
today’s message when Pilate announced Jesus of Nazareth as King of the Jews
he wrote in 3 scripts that went across all the 4 languages so that all
people could read it from Jews, to local non-Jews, including foreigners to
Judea and Roman officials too.
When the Apostles needed to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world
they initially started writing in Aramaic and then needed to change the
language to Greek. So Greek became the language of the NT.
When the Catholic Church came into existence in 300-400AD (with the
conversion of Emperor Constantine) we see to restrain the access of the
common man to the NT, they translated the NT into Latin and tried to
destroy all the Greek manuscripts. No religion or King did that much damage
to Christianity as much as the Catholic Church did (both in destroying
manuscripts and killing Christian believers). It is written the Christian
library in Rome was set afire by the Catholic Church and it burned for days
all together. Even the Islamic rulers in Istanbul (Constantinople)
respected the Christian manuscripts and protected them from the Catholic
Pope / Kings (the Church used the armies of the kings as well had their
own) therefore most of the existing manuscripts are from there.
Languages are important for communication and we need the right language to
reach to the specific audience. Christian missionaries like William Carrey
realized if people were not educated then they could not know God (study
the Bible) so was instruments in developing at least 29 Indian languages.
Let us understand education is very important to study the Word of God and
study of Biblical languages helps understand the Word of God better. Let us
not ignore the importance of languages and education of people towards
spreading the Gospel to people.

importance of communication and thus put all the efforts needed to reach
out to those who do not know You. Help your people understand the
importance of studying Biblical languages and thus interpret scriptures
better...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Do evil spirits know you? Acts 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? We have always told about God knowing us and we knowing God but in today message the scripture questions us if evil spirits know us? In our previous messages we learnt about growing in discernment to consume solid food. We also learnt about wisdom which we get out of experience and that which is gifted from God. We also learnt about spiritual maturity is not related to natural age nor to the number of years we have been knowing the Lord or even our position in Church. Spiritual maturity is measured by our Fruits, relationship with the Lord and our understanding of God’s Kingdom. We lastly learnt when we grow in spiritual maturity we have a hedge of protection around us such that even Satan cannot penetrate. In today’s message we read evil spirits who confronted the seven sons of a Chief Priest (who is like a Jewish Pope) and whose name ironically is Sceva (meaning ‘mind reader’). The seven sons were doing deliverance in the name of Jesus and Paul and they were doing it for some time so had become famous. These seven sons knew when commanded in the name of Jesus or Paul the evil spirits abided so we successful for a period. The evil spirits did not question them initially. When doing deliverance we are told to do in the ‘name of Jesus’ but we see these demons even abided when told to leave in the ‘name of Paul’. We read the demons state they knew who Jesus was and they also knew who Paul was. When we are in Christ and grow in spiritual maturity the kingdom or Satan knows us, and when they know us they abide even in our name. We just need to say ‘leave’ and they leave. We do not even need to say ‘in the name of Jesus’ for evil spirits know who we are in Christ. Those who are not in Christ fear evil spirits but when we are in Christ and grown in spiritual maturity we send waves of fear in Satan’s camp and evil spirits fear us. Today the Lord is asking us, have we matured spiritually that evil spirits know us and fear us. [Prayer Starter] Lord You are Mighty God. You Lord are above all, nothing and no one is an opponent to You. You have given Satan and his army a period so that You can save us from what he has done to us. You Lord desire we crush Satan and his works so that we overcome evil and shine in You. We pray Lord we grow spiritually that we send waves of fear in the enemy camp and they know us by name... This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen. [Reference Scriptures] Acts 19:13-17 13 Then certain of the vagabond Jews, exorcists, took upon them to call over them which had evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preacheth. 14 And there were seven sons of [one] Sceva, a Jew, [and] chief of the priests, which did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye? 16 And the man in whom the evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded. 17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. Mark 1:27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What thing is this? what new doctrine [is] this? for with authority commandeth he even the unclean spirits, and they do obey him.. Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Does Satan hinder?
I Thessalonians 2:17, 18 But we, brethren, being taken from you for a
short time in presence, not in heart, endeavoured the more abundantly to
see your face with great desire. Wherefore we would have come unto you,
even I Paul, once and again; but Satan hindered us.
In today’s message we read of Paul speaking of the Satan hindering his
desire to spend time with the church of Thessalonica. He was referring to
the incident of where a mob in Thessalonica rioted against Paul because he
had great success in Berea.
What is interesting to note is Paul is not sure if it happened only once or
if it happened twice. Secondly we see by this incident Paul’s great success
with the people of Berea unlike in Thessalonica due to the attitude of the
people of Berea which caused Paul not to go there again or minister to them
again. The people of Berea were people who did not take even the famous
Paul for his word and confirmed everything he said with scriptures, and it
is for this reason we see not letter written by Paul to them, they did not
need one.
If we look at both the letters of Paul to this Church of Thessalonica we
see only one matter most highlighted – end days. The Church of Thessalonica
was obsessed with end days and thus became preys to vain preachers. Paul in
both his letters tries to explain to them the end days are far away and
there are some key events that happen before the Judgment Day.
In all this we see Satan not directly hindering Paul but using people not
in Christ to hinder Paul’s desire to stay in Thessalonica and minister to
the Believers there, we also see Satan causing confusion in the minds of
Believers not strong in understanding to be misled.
When Jesus had to be tempted by Satan we see the Spirit of God led Jesus
into the wilderness and caused Him to be weakened in the natural body by
fasting for 40days. If Jesus had not been weakened in the natural body
Satan would not have even dared to tempt Jesus. The 40days fast was done
not only to weaken Jesus and get Him to be tempted (with the same 3
temptations which Adam and Eve went through) so that we learn to overcome
temptation but also for the reason that Jesus be qualified to become a
Jewish Rabbi (according to the line of Prophet Moses as per Jewish
tradition) and be able to preach in Jewish Synagogues.
Let us get it into us Satan cannot hinder or affect us when we are strong
in spirit and clear in our understanding. He works on people who are not in
Christ or those who dwell in confusion.
Our relationship with the Lord and our clear understanding of His
Word/Kingdom becomes a hedge of protection around us which Satan cannot
penetrate. So if we find Satan messing things in our lives, let us
introspect our relationship with God and our understanding of His Word.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You are Almighty God. There is none like You for all
things existing are created by You. Lord we pray we do not make Satan into
a god and give him undue importance and power. We pray we understand he is
due to be crushed under our feet for we are given power over him. He has no
hold on us when we are in Christ. We pray we do not make Satan an excuse
for our lacking in You...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Acts 17:13-14
13 But when the Jews of Thessalonica had knowledge that the word of God
was preached of Paul at Berea, they came thither also, and stirred up the
people.
14 And then immediately the brethren sent away Paul to go as it were to
the sea: but Silas and Timotheus abode there still.
Matthew 4:1-23
1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of
the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he afterward
hungered.
3 And the tempter came and said unto him, If thou art the Son of God,
command that these stones become bread.
23 And Jesus went about in all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and
preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of disease and
all manner of sickness among the people.
Romans 1:13 Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I
purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some
fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles.
Romans 15:21-22
21 But as it is written, To whom he was not spoken of, they shall see: and
they that have not heard shall understand.
22 For which cause also I have been much hindered from coming to you.
2 Corinthians 11:12-14
12 But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them
which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as
we.
13 For such [are] false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming
themselves into the apostles of Christ.
14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Have Teeth to eat Meat
1 Corinthians 3:2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for
hitherto ye were not able [to bear it], neither yet now are ye able.
When Paul was anointed to his mission in the Kingdom of God, the Lord had
given him a specific harvest and they were the Gentiles, Children of Israel
(spiritually little) and Kings (rulers / people in authority). We see all
the ministry life of Paul was revolving around these 3 categories of people
- those who did not know God, those who knew little of Him and struggle in
Him and those who were set to lead others or in authority of others and
Paul’s letters are on the same lines.
Paul had knowledge of lots of things even though he did not know all yet we
see in his letters he hardly discloses the greater revelations or deeper
understanding of things of the Kingdom of God. He does touch on a few
things but holds back at going all out on them. Like in today’s message we
read Paul telling the Church of Corinth that he could not feed them with
solid meat since they were spiritually infant and hooked on to milk. The
only Epistles of Paul that has some amount of (very little) solid food are
Ephesians and Hebrews, the latter one being contested as being or not being
written by Paul.
People do not understand almost all the books of the NT are explanation or
expounding of the OT scriptures, leaving for Gospel of John. Even the book
of Revelation is simply revelation of scriptures of the OT and one can
touch the source scriptures to get more details.
At times it is so saddening to see a whole Church including the person
leading them living on milk and I do not blame them alone for it. The
problem with us is that we have a system that is man driven. Man is
teaching man and like proverbs 27:17 ‘like iron sharpeneth iron so a man
sharpeneth the contencance of his friend’. One knows to sharpen an object
one needs a harder metal, by take the same metal one will get lots of noise
and even sparks but hardly any sharpening. So for us to truly learn we need
someone greater than us and that is the reason the Lord gave us His Spirit
of Truth / Spirit that givens wisdom.
Wisdom is that which works on knowledge and churns out understanding. It is
understanding that causes us to discern and grow spiritually. Discernment
is like spiritual teeth and a sign of spiritual maturity.
Jesus said all about Him is written in the OT; the day we start seeing the
whole NT in the OT is the day we can start to say we are coming to
understand the Word of God. So let us not depend on the teachings of man
but more and more ask the Holy Spirit to teach us by revealing the Word.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Your Wisdom is without bonds and unmeasurable.
You Lord have given us your Spirit who ministers to us and yet we suffer
from a famine for wisdom. Lord we pray we understand iron does not sharpen
iron so let us be sharpened by You. Bless us with knowledge and wisdom so
that we receive understanding and grow in discernment...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of

Proverbs 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance

Hebrews 5:12-14
12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one
teach you again which [be] the first principles of the oracles of God; and
are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
13 For every one that useth milk [is] unskilful in the word of
righteousness: for he is a babe.
14 But strong meat belongeth to them that are of full age, [even] those
who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and
evil.

abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh,
the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure..

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
The God of our Fathers (why not mothers?)
Acts 22: 14 And he said, The God of our fathers hath chosen thee, that
thou shouldest know his will, and see that Just One, and shouldest hear the
voice of his mouth.
Some days back an atheist person was questioning, why God is referred to in
male gender and not female gender, how can one say God is not ‘she’? In
most religions including Hinduism the prime and most powerful deity turns
out to be a ‘she’ and not a ‘he’.
We need to understand as we have a natural gender similarly there is a
spiritual gender. We are born in our natural gender and will die in that
gender but our spiritual gender can changes as we are renewed in spirit.
God is the benchmark of our spirit and He being called Father those who
mature in spirit are called Sons of God.
We have the term ‘El-Shaddai’ used for God which is translated as ‘Almighty
God’ but literally means ‘Strong Breasted One’, projecting God as our
protector, our nourishment provider, our caretaker etc. like a mother to
her child, making God to be our Heavenly father/mother yet He is not
referred to as ‘She’ but only ‘He’.
When God created man in the flesh he was created out of dust and molded in
the image (symbolic representation not literal) of God, but when God
created woman He took the bone of man (bone symbolizes nature) and out of
man’s bone He made woman. So in design man represents God and woman
represents man, it is for this reason marriage is constituted to understand
the union of man with God after Judgment Day (Heavenly Wedding). What is
interesting is in Genesis chapter 1 even before God put man in the flesh we
read ‘He created (all) male and female, He created He them’ and the word
them is in male gender. So even naturally female gender in Christ (renewed)
is considered male (Son) and thus legal inheritor of God’s Kingdom.
Man is called to love his wife like Christ loves His Church and by this we
project the relationship between God and man. Thus in the Bible disrespect
of a woman or abuse of a woman is considered a serious spiritual offence,
even greater than murder.
To distort the relationship between God and man we find Satan uses the
terms ‘Mother of God’, ‘Queen of Heaven’, ‘Jagat Mata’ (mother of all
creation), ‘Devi Maa’ (mother of gods); even Hubal the moon god who is
projected as ‘Allah’ in Islam is contested to be a female moon goddess. In
OT we find the deity that did most harm to the Israelites was the female
goddess ‘Ashtoreth’ also called ‘Queen of Heaven’ (today she is projected
as ‘Mary the mother of Jesus’).
In the Bible (OT) when a soul saved in the Lord died, it is written that
soul was ‘gathered unto his people’ and the word ‘people’ is stated in
masculine gender.
Jesus said unless we die to ourselves we will not receive eternal life, so
one of the ‘dying’s is of our self-identity including of our natural
gender. It is for this reason Paul said those in Christ are not of any
race, any nation and not even natural gender (male nor female).
[Prayer Starter]
Lord you are God and You both father and mother for You alone are our
creator, yet You are called Father. Lord we pray we overcome our natural
difference such as gender and in our dying we be renewed in spirit. We pray
we understand the importance of respecting each other’s natural gender and
may man understand the seriousness of loving his wife...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scripture]
Genesis 1:26-27
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let
them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air,
and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing
that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he
him; male and female created he them [male gender/plural].
Genesis 2:7-8, 21-24
7 And the LORD God formed man [of] the dust of the ground, and breathed
into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
8 And the LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the
man whom he had formed.
21 And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept:
and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof;
22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman,
and brought her unto the man.
23 And Adam said, This [is] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh:
she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave
unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.
Ephesians 5:22-31
Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor
free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Offering first for Saints and then to others
2 Corinthians 9:12,13 For the administration of this service not only
supplieth the want of the saints, but is abundant also by many
thanksgivings unto God; Whiles by the experiment of this ministration they
glorify God for your professed subjection unto the gospel of Christ, and
for [your] liberal distribution unto them, and unto all [men];
When I was in the Catholic Church the concept of a ‘Saint’ was a dead
person who has 2 to 3 miracles confirmed in his or her name by a person
praying to that person. Later they had a concept of ‘Living Saint’; if the
person was alive and had miracles directly or indirectly associated with
them. After I became a Believer I was made to understand all who are
Believers are Saints. But with my Bible study I found the truth as
something different.
The Greek word ‘hagios’ translated as saint is a compound word meaning
‘warmly pure’ which make one to projected as a holier person. A Saint is
not a holier person as believed, as mentioned before to study meaning of
spiritual words in the NT we still need to go to the Hebrew word and not
Greek word for they spoke Hebrew and Aramaic and not Greek.
In Hebrew the word ‘qadash’ is translated in English as saint and the word
actually means one dedicated or concentrated for temple work. In simple
words a Saint is a person who dedicates one’s life to serving God’s
Kingdom, in other words a full time minister having no source of income.
The Church is called to support and provide to those who are in full time
ministry and have no other source of income first. That means the person
(immediate family) should not be doing any job, freelance business or
investments. Paul did almost full time ministry but was providing for his
own needs by doing a business of selling tents, it is for this reason we
find he never took any financial help from any church. Paul by his income
not only provided for his own needs but also for those who were with him
and had no source of income.
To be a Saint one has to forsake all worldly things and work for Kingdom
work (not social work). Paul says those who leave everything for the sake
of the Kingdom of God will be given great authority in the Kingdom to come
(rule the nations).
Let us as Church identify such people and support them for that is our
first priority in our giving.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Holy God and You alone are Holy. No being, especially in the
flesh is worthy of being called Holy and we see Jesus as man too said You
alone are Holy. Lord we pray more and more of your people take up sainthood
and dedicate themselves for the Kingdom work. Lord we pray we be able to
bless these people and be blessed in return...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
The Two Righteousness and Laws
Romans 10:3 For they being ignorant of God’s righteousness, and going about
to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto
the righteousness of God.
As Christians we look at works suspiciously because we read scripture that
speak against works and then there are scriptures that state without ‘good’
works we are fake Disciples of Christ. This is because of our confusion
between the two types of righteousness and two laws.
We know the Law of Moses was given by the Lord yet we see many a times it
is referred to as Law of Moses and only twice referred to as the Law of the
Lord, once in the case of the sacrifice of pigeons made after Christ’s
birth. We also see Paul in Romans speaks about being unable to keep the Law
of the Lord for his flesh is weak.
In most places the tem Law or Law of Moses speaks more of the traditions or
rituals the people created in the name of the Law given by the Lord to
Moses. We also see law kept without understanding / faith does not please
God and in fact is considered sin.
When we come to ‘righteousness’ the word means doing that which is right
according to God, so is associated with keeping the Law. The righteousness
that is associated with keeping the law of the Lord with understanding is
true righteousness and that associated with keeping Law without
understanding or keeping man made traditions or rituals even if they are in
the name of God or Christianity is considered false righteousness or
righteousness of man and such righteousness is like rags before God.
So even if we feed the hungry, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless or
quince the thirsty, yet it can be human righteousness if we are not doing
with intentions to bless them spiritually also; that may not happen
immediately and may happen over time but the intention should be clear. We
need not preach in words to those whom we help but by action but we need to
show Christ to them and not ourselves. It is for this reason Jesus did not
included the sick or spiritually affected in the list for we are called to
heal them, deliver them and send them off manifesting the power of God.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You are Almighty God. You God know all, nothing is
hidden from You. You know our thoughts and see our intentions unhindered.
Lord we pray we understand our thoughts and intentions behind our actions
be clearly for your glory and nothing else so that we are called your
righteous...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Luke 2:23,24,39
23 (As it is written in the law of the Lord, Every male that openeth the
womb shall be called holy to the Lord;)
24 And to offer a sacrifice according to that which is said in the law of
the Lord, A pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons.
39 And when they had performed all things according to the law of the
Lord, they returned into Galilee, to their own city Nazareth.
Romans 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the
mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.
John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, [but] grace and truth came by
Jesus Christ.
John 7:23 If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law
of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a
man every whit whole on the sabbath day?

not of faith: for whatsoever [is] not of faith is sin

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
All grace and all things
2 Corinthians 9:8 And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you;
that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every
good work:
In almost all religions to come before their gods, their gods demand
approval by doing good works and being righteous. To distract people from
realizing that they cannot by any means qualify on these points, these
religions are filled with traditions and rituals. People are made to think
traditions and rituals are a ladder to climb the hill of righteousness and
goodness, not knowing they are been deceived. To avoid them from realizing
this, traditions and rituals are made more and more difficult and complex
so that they think it is their failure in performing them and otherwise.
When we look at Christianity, it is a religion / belief for those who
realize they are unqualified but if they believe (have faith) in the Lord
as their Savior, they are given the grace to come before God.
Christians think all religions are dead ends and that Christianity is an
easy pathway. True all other religions or beliefs are dead ends concluding
in self-destruction but Christianity is not any way easy. No doubt others
are impossible while Christianity it is possible, but surely Christianity
is not easy.
Today’s message tells us the Lord provides us will all the grace and all
things needed, what is important to realize is that this abundant grace and
provisions are given for a purpose and that purpose is for good works.
In other religions and beliefs good works is demanded of the people which
is impossible but in Christianity although good works is demanded yet it is
not by the strength or ability of the person but of God doing it through
the person.
Unless we do not put our carnal nature to death and suppress our worldly
desires we will not be able to let the Lord’s grace and provisions to bring
the results of abundant good works. In Christian the person is expected to
be nothing of himself or herself but be an instrument for God to work
through.
The Lord is telling us to introspect our lives, how much of the ‘worldly
me’ is dead and how much of our lives is about ‘my desires’? If we are not
seeing results of good works, then we need to work on ourselves and not
look for different ministries or avenues or tricks to bring results.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord do not lack anything yet You Lord
created man for the purpose of becoming one with You. Lord we pray we
understand that unless we do not die to ourselves we will not have eternal
life in You. We pray we understand it is not by our efforts but by your
Spirit that we do good works that glorify You...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your
good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
Ephesians 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto
good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
1 Timothy 6:17-19
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded,
nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly
all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to
distribute, willing to communicate;
19 Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to
come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.
Matthew 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the
kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in
heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many
wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye
that work iniquity.

2 Corinthians 9:8 And God [is] able to make all grace abound toward you;
that ye, always having all sufficiency in all [things], may abound to every
17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded,
nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly
all things to enjoy;
18 That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to
distribute, willing to communicate;

Matthew 14
The Sender is greater than the one Sent
John 13: 16,17 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater
than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye
know these things, happy are ye if ye do them.
We all know the Son came by His own will, but time and again Jesus
confessed that the Father sent Him.
Today’s message not only specifies our relationship with Christ who sends
us to do His mission but also tells us about the relationship between the
Son with the Father.
We know the Son is God and also the Father is God. When we use the term God
it refers to a being who is infinite. Human logic says one infinite being
cannot be lesser than another infinite being, but here in the case of the
relationship between the Father this relationship exists. We need to
understand the Son came from the Father, if we understand this term than we
will understand why the Son being infinite is yet subjective to the Will of
the Father. This understanding will also make us understand the oneness of
God.
The some of the areas we err in understanding God are places where we have
let in mythological concepts into Christianity. Like we replaced the
humbling of the Son with the concept of ‘incarnation’. We do not take the
aspect of the Son humbling Himself in the beginning of creation and then
coming as man about 2000 years back. We do not realize that the word YHWH
(Yahweh or Jehovah) does not refer to the Father but refers to the Son (it
is an ideogram which means ‘Behold the Hand Behold the Nail’). Jesus said
in John 1:18 ‘NO BEING has EVER SEEN THE FATHER’.
There are many other aspects where due to our lack of understanding we use
mythological terms like in the case the term Spirit we use the term Ghost.
Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of God even though God Himself is Spirit,
since we do not understand the term Spirit we replace it with the concept
‘Ghost’. We acknowledge Angels as spirit beings and not ghosts yet we use
this term ghost for the Holy Spirit by calling Him ‘Holy Ghost’. These
doctrines were so strong in the early church that they went on to even
modify scriptures like adding 1 John 5:7 which did not exist before.
Today’s message tells us even though we are one in Christ and Christ is one
with the Father yet we need to subject ourselves to Christ as Christ
subjected Himself to the Father. He tells us the one who sends is always
greater than the one sent.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and there is none like You. We pray Lord we understand the
sacrifice You made for man and we pray we understand your relationship with
creation as Son and as Holy Spirit. Lord we pray these things we revealed
to your people so that they understand the inheritance that awaits them
when man is reconciled to You and the Heavenly Temple is restored...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the

which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Self-identification
John 18:4, 5 Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him,
went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? They answered him, Jesus of
Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am [he]. And Judas also, which betrayed
him, stood with them.
Jesus was very famous after He bought Lazarus back to life so much so that
people greeted Him into Jerusalem saying ‘Hosanna Son of David’ which means
‘Save us we pray Son of David’. They thought He was going to revolt against
the Romans and give them freedom. The Jewish Priest hated Him so much
because of His fame that they wanted not only to kill Jesus but also kill
Lazarus because of the state in which Jesus bought him back to life was
beyond their thinking. Also Jesus by healing Bartimaeus (who was a Roman
made blind by the Roman rule) had challenged the Roman authority.
Yet in all this fame of Jesus we see the Romans could not arrest Jesus
unless they had at least 2 witnesses to identify Him as Jesus. No one dared
to identify Jesus as being Jesus leaving Judas Iscariot who for the sake of
money (he did not realize the consequences of his action) became one of the
persons to identify Jesus. The Jewish Chief Priest thought once they got
one they would get another without any problem to identify Jesus, so they
went ahead to get Jesus arrested accusing Him of blasphemy (a law by which
they could put a person to death).
What we see in today’s message after Judas identified Jesus for the Romans,
Jesus Himself became the second witness by confessing He was Jesus, this
caused those who came to arrest Him to be taken back. Today’s scripture
says Jesus knowing of the things He had to fulfil He became a witness
against Himself like in a court of law.
Let us ask ourselves if we are able to be like Jesus to witness against
ourselves so as to do the Will of God. Are we able to identify ourselves
for the sake of fulfilling the commandments and statutes of the Lord?
Unless we are not able to identify ourselves there is little chance for
repentance, for us to die to ourselves; and unless we do not die to
ourselves then there is no way we can receive eternal life.
The Lord is asking us, can we be the second person to witness against
ourselves when the Spirit of God convicts us of our wrong?
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God, You are a Holy and Righteous God. You also abide in the
instructions You gave unto man through your Word. Lord we pray we have
courage like Jesus did to identify ourselves and witness against ourselves
when You convict us of our wrong...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Manifestation of the Spirit
1 Corinthians 12:4-7 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same
Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which
worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every
man to profit withal.
In the Bible we see people were not sure about their water baptism (baptism
in Christ) even though they performed a physical activity of being immersed
in water (baptism of John) but they were confident of their baptism in the
Holy Spirit even though it was not associated with any physical activity.
When we read of any baptism in the Holy Spirit in the NT we see every one
of them was associated with the manifestation of at least one spiritual
gift {usually Tongues and Prophecy}. So if we find in us any one Spiritual
gift, we can be sure of our baptism in Christ.
Today’s message talks of gifts, ministries, callings etc. and how all of
them are connected to the Holy Spirit who is God, Lord and the Spirit of
God.
Our Churches are failing because they fail to understand the importance of
the Holy Spirit and how everything about the Church is connected to the
Holy Spirit. Church fails to understand Jesus as man paid the price for our
sins, by taking the wrath of God due to us on Himself and made peace with
God on behalf of us so that we receive His Spirit.
When scriptures say Christ is the Rock on which the Church is built, it
focuses on the Spirit part (Holy Spirit) of the term Christ more than the
man (Jesus) part of Christ {the term ‘Christ’ means the man in whom the
Spirit of God dwells}. It is for this reason Jesus the man took a temporary
exit after resurrection so that the Holy Spirit can do the job which no man
can (including the man Jesus). The evidence of the power of the Holy Spirit
is seen in the Apostles whom Jesus trained for over 3 years but understood
things only after their baptism in the Holy Spirit. We see they received
the Holy Spirit in the ending part of the Gospel of John before Jesus
ascended after 40 days of His resurrection but their baptism in the Spirit
happened only at Pentecost.
Bible says we are adopted as children because we receive the Spirit of the
Son. Without the Spirit we cannot inherit the Kingdom of God and Jesus
confirms only those born anew in the Spirit can enter the Kingdom of God.
Bible talks of the 7 Spirits of the Lord and yet says the Spirit of God is
one. It is only when we understand this, we understand Callings and how the
various Callings form the core functioning framework of the Body of Christ.
The Holy Spirit symbolized by the rainbow which has 7 colors and comes from
one, stands as an evidence of the Covenant of God.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God. You are Spirit yet Bible says You gave us your Spirit.
Lord we pray we understand the relationship between the Father and Son,
between the Son and His Spirit, between the Son of Man Jesus and 7 Spirits
of God, how You are one. We pray we know the importance of the Holy Spirit
and how only by being born again through the Spirit of God we can have
eternal life...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Acts 10:
44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all them
that heard the word.
45 And they of the circumcision that believed were amazed, as many as came
with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of
the Holy Spirit.
46 For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered
Peter,
47 Can any man forbid the water, that these should not be baptized, who
have received the Holy Spirit as well as we?
48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then
prayed they him to tarry certain days.
1 Corinthians 12:8-13
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the
word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by
the same Spirit;
10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another
discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the
interpretation of tongues:
11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to
every man severally as he will.
12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of
that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be]
Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to
drink into one Spirit.
Revelation 4:5 And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings
and voices: and [there were] seven lamps of fire burning before the throne,
which are the seven Spirits of God.
Isaiah 11:1-4
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch
shall grow out of his roots:
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and
understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and
of the fear of the LORD;
3 And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD: and
he shall not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither reprove after the
hearing of his ears:
4 But with righteousness shall he judge the poor, and reprove with equity
for the meek of the earth: and he shall smite the earth with the rod of his
mouth, and with the breath of his lips shall he slay the wicked.

discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the
interpretation of tongues:
2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and
understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and
of the fear of the LORD;

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Coming of the ‘prince of this world’!
John 14:30 Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the prince of this
world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
Just a few minute before I got today’s message one brother was discussing
with me about the ‘finished’ works of Christ on the Cross. He like many
others base this understanding on John 19:30 which says after He received
the vinegar He said ‘It is finished’. If we look 2 verses before, it
clearly states Jesus knew all things were now finished with regards to the
scripture (singular - not scriptures). Jesus was referring to Psalms 69.
Jesus as man became our sacrifice and did finish all that He was called to
do. That does not mean there is nothing left to do. We need to understand
He will come again and then finish that which is prophesied to be done then
and between these two periods, we are called to do all that which the Bible
says has to be done by us.
Let us understand the finial finish is when God the Son restores us unto
the God the Father in Heaven, the very thing He humbled Himself for even
before we were created. It is truly ‘finished’ when He returns to the
Father and regains the glory He had before the world was.
Today’s message talks of Satan (Lucifer) being released from Hell before
Jesus Christ’s coming again. The word Satan mentioned in the Bible is a
plural world and most of the time does not refer to Lucifer but one of his
lot (the ‘beast’ / ‘young lion’ / ‘prince of Tyre’ or a fallen angel)
Revelation 17:8.
Let us understand like we are battling for the coming again of Christ, the
worldly people who are under the power of the ‘prince of this world’ are
also battling for the coming of their ruler. Let us not be frail hearted or
lethargic in our mission before the prince of this world is released and
given power over the Saints of God and then the coming of Christ. Let us
also be at a state to say ‘it is finished’ before the coming of the ‘prince
of this world’ like Christ said it on the crucifix.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are God and You alone are God. All things are created by You and
created for the purpose. You Lord have put man in the center of your
creation and made him the purpose of your creation. Lord we pray we
understand the importance You give to man and understand the plans You have
for us. We pray fulfil that which You have called us to do like You did as
man and could say ‘it is finished’, we pray we too be able to say ‘it is
finished’...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference scriptures]
John 19:28 After this Jesus, knowing that all things are now finished,
that the scripture might be accomplished, saith, I thirst.
John 19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is
finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.
1 Thessalonians 2: 19 For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of
rejoicing? [Are] not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at
his coming?
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them
which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also
which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are
alive [and] remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which
are asleep.
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ
shall rise first:
17 Then we which are alive [and] remain shall be caught up together with
them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be
with the Lord.
18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Revelation 13:4-8
4 and they worshipped the dragon, because he gave his authority unto the
beast; and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast?
And who is able to war with him?
5 and there was given to him a mouth speaking great things and
blasphemies; and there was given to him authority to continue forty and two
months.
6 And he opened his mouth for blasphemies against God, to blaspheme his
name, and his tabernacle, [even] them that dwell in the heaven.
7 And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome
them: and there was given to him authority over every tribe and people and
tongue and nation.
8 And all that dwell on the earth shall worship him, [every one] whose
name hath not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of
life of the Lamb that hath been slain.
Revelation 17:8 The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and is about
to come up out of the abyss, and to go into perdition. And they that dwell
on the earth shall wonder, [they] whose name hath not been written in the
book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast,
how that he was, and is not, and shall come.
