Focus: TV Soaps any help to us?

I particularly like Eastenders and The Bill these are the two which I try to watch. I am not governed addicted to TV so its no big deal if I miss a programme......although much goes on in my life which touch areas, I think it shows what goes on in the world and realistically,

What I am pleased about is with Eastenders for example, when an episode contains a sensitive problem in the show someone is experiencing or facing,at the end of the programme they say if anyone has been affected by this programme contact.......giving a help number.

I think the soaps are very silly sometimes, and yet they do touch on some valid things.
What really worried me was 'Silent Witness' last night. Surely many youngsters watching that will as sure as eggs think it was an invitation to carry on using knives. There was not much in it to say they would be sorry for what they are doing or going to get much in the way of punishment. Unfortunately a lot of these people experience tribal warfare in their country of origin and still think it neccessary in the UK. Please don't take that as offensive it is not meant to be, it is how I believe it is. What can be done to stop things being shown that almost instructs our children how to do these evil things other than call the BBC or ITV or whatever station is sending out the program.
