Breaking: Melania Trump Attacked
Sick Leftists are attacking First Lady Melania Trump on social media for her recital of the Lord's Prayer at Trump's Florida rally.
Fox News reported: Melania Trump began President Trump’s rally Saturday in Florida by delivering the prayer, which Christians – many of whom recite the prayer in church each week – believe was first said by Jesus Christ. The crowd at Orlando-Melbourne Airport received the prayer enthusiastically.
Left-leaning social media users were a different story, however.
“Melania starts the dictatorship rally with the Lord’s Prayer? NOT EVERY AMERICAN IS CHRISTIAN!!!! Country over party,” tweeted @JaimePrimak.
@splattne wrote: “Melania prays (reads) the Our Father. Makes Jesus turn in his grave. Oh wait…”
Several Twitter users harkened to the controversy over Melania Trump plagiarizing a section of her Republican National Convention speech from a previous speech given by former First Lady Michelle Obama.
“At least this time Melania plagerzed [sic] the Lord’s Prayer from the Bible instead of Michelle Obama. #TrumpRally,” @ParaComedian09 wrote.
Noticing that Melania appeared to read the prayer from a sheet, some questioned the degree of Trump’s religious devotion, with many deriding the Slovenian immigrant’s accent.
“With an hour’s practice I could probably say the Lord’s Prayer better in Slovene than Melania Trump does it in English,” @adrianshort wrote.
@NicoleAngeleen tweeted: “I could recite the Our Father backwards, drugged with a gun to my head. If you need to read this prayer, you’re not Christian (re: Melania).”
“God Bless her, but listening to Melania do 'The Lord’s Prayer' sounds like someone getting cursed to become a 'Dracula,'@carnojoe wrote.
And a few Twitter users even attacked Melania personally.
“….plus Melania read the ‘our father’ like a whore in confession after a night of escorting,” @TrumpUriNation tweeted.

Re: PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP 2017
Trump And The Third Temple
Jewish leaders, including the re-convened Sanhedrin, are looking for President Trump to play a role in rebuilding the Jewish Temple
The Jewish Temple Mount movement are excited over the recent election of Donald Trump. They know very well that rebuilding the Jewish temple in today's world would be a dangerous and politically incorrect task.
In their view, if there is any modern political leader with the guts and determination to stand behind such a project, it could be President Trump.
Biblically, many Christians affirm that the Jewish temple will be rebuilt at some point in the End Times.
Could President Trump's strong pro-Israel stand be the game changer which could help lay the groundwork? What role would President Putin play in the mix?
The Cyrus Mandate
A number of Christian leaders have been comparing Trump to the Biblical King Cyrus. They point out that King Cyrus was a leader called and appointed by God.
Despite the fact that this Persian King did not know the God of Israel, God appointed him by name with the mandate to fulfil God's divine purposes concerning the nation of Israel.
image: http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/images/ads/salsubannerfeb122017.jpg
President Trump, like King Cyrus, appears an unlikely champion for God's purposes. Despite the controversies swirling around him, Trump has though already taken action to re-align America with important Biblical values (such as pro-life) as well as making an unusually firm stand alongside the nation of Israel.
While several Christian bible teachers have pointed out similarities with Cyrus, few have raised the point that a primary part of Cyrus' divine calling was to order the rebuilding of the Temple in Jerusalem (Isaiah 44:28, Ezra 1:2).
If President Trump really has a similar calling to King Cyrus, could it be that God would use this real estate developer turned President to facilitate the greatest property development of modern time - the rebuilding of the Temple?
A Letter from the Sanhedrin
Key figures in Israel's Temple Mount movement certainly are optimistic that Trump's victory could be the catalyst needed to bring their dream to reality.
Within days of the election victory, long time Temple Mount advocate and now prominent member of the Israeli Knesset Rabbi Yehudah Glick, issued a public call inviting Trump to visit the Temple Mount.
This call was followed days later by an open letter from the re-convened Jewish Sanhedrin. The open letter addressed BOTH Russian President Putin and the new US President Trump - asking them both to fulfill the Cyrus mandate of enabling the rebuilding of the Temple.
Rabbi Hillel Weiss, who serves as spokesman for the Sanhedrin, explained that Donald Trump's rise to power had 'made the eternal Jewish dream a very real possibility'.
Trump's strong stand in support of the Jewish claim to Jerusalem and the West Bank (Biblically known as Judea and Samaria) has led to the Sanhedrin to the belief that he could also support full Israeli rights to the Temple Mount.
Compared to President Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin might seem like an even more unlikely Cyrus. Many would instead view him as a potential 'Gog' - one of Israel's great End Time enemies.
The Sanhedrin however are basing their letter to Putin on unverified positive reports concerning Putin's attitude to the Temple Mount. Visiting the Western Wall in 2012, Putin allegedly disclosed that he was personally praying for the rebuilding of the Temple.
On this basis, the Sanhedrin decided to write to both Putin and Trump - inviting them both to fulfil the Cyrus mandate.
The optimism of the Sanhedrin is palpable. Rabbi Weiss explains: "We are poised to rebuild the Temple.
The political conditions today, in which the two most important national leaders in the world support the Jewish right to Jerusalem as their spiritual inheritance, is historically unprecedented".
Cyrus or the Anti-Christ
While the Sanhedrin is looking for a Cyrus type figure to arise to help support the building of the Third Temple, many Christians tend to link the rebuilding of the Temple not with a Cyrus but rather with the anti-Christ himself.
The Scriptures appear clear that the coming anti-Christ will defile the temple, but we shouldn't necessarily equate foreign leaders who facilitate the rebuilding with the coming anti-Christ.
In his day, King Cyrus helped build a temple in Jerusalem at divine instruction, which was later defiled by Antiochus and then frequented by Jesus the Messiah.
Could it be that God will likewise in the End Times raise up a new Cyrus figure that will help facilitate the rebuilding of the temple - which will later be defiled before the Messiah finally returns to take His rightful place in the Temple?
Trump's got the numbers
Jewish leaders have pointed out that the gematria (numerical value) of Donald Trump's name equals that of the phrase 'Meshiach Ben David' (Messiah, Son of David). These same rabbis are quick to point out that they do not believe that Trump is the Messiah (just as well!).
image: http://www.prophecynewswatch.com/images/ads/TFP_freedvd.jpg
They view the gematria of Trump's name as an indication of him playing a role in the 'redemptive process' - a role in preparing the conditions for the Messiah's arrival. What could prepare the way for the Messiah more than the rebuilding of the Temple?
It is interesting in this context to also consider Michael Snyder's calculations that Trump was born 700 days before Israel became a nation, won the election on Prime Minister Netanyahu's 7th year, 7th month and 7th day in office, and served his first full day in the White House at the age of 70 years, 7 months and 7 days old.
While we should be careful of reading too much into these numbers, it would seem that God Himself has had His hand on the unusual rise of Donald Trump and if so would have a particular purpose for his presidency.
Could these Jewish leaders be right that Trump could have a Cyrus call on his life?
Summary
There is great excitement within the Temple Movement in Israel that the time might be drawing near for the long desired rebuilding of the House of God.
While the Sanhedrin is obviously excited about the rise of Trump and rumours of Putin being supportive, it is still early days, and we have no definite statements from either leader to support these assumptions.
As believers we should none-the-less be watching these developments, praying for God's prophesied purposes to be accomplished, and checking our own spiritual lives to make sure that we are ready to meet the soon coming King.

One of President Trump’s longtime friends made a striking move on Sunday: After talking privately with the president over drinks late Friday, Christopher Ruddy publicly argued that Trump should replace his White House chief of staff.
“A lot of people have been saying, ‘Look, Donald has some problems,’ and I think he realizes that he’s got to make some changes going forward,” Ruddy said in an interview with The Washington Post.
Ruddy went on to detail his critique of White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus: “It’s my view that Reince is the problem. I think on paper Reince looked good as the chief of staff — and Donald trusted him — but it’s pretty clear the guy is in way over his head. He’s not knowledgeable of how federal agencies work, how the communications operations work. He botched this whole immigration rollout. This should’ve been a win for Donald, not two or three weeks of negative publicity.”

Ruddy insisted that he was speaking only for himself and not for the president, and he would not reveal whether Trump had confided in him about Priebus, saying the conversation was private.

White House spokesmen did not respond to a request for comment on Ruddy’s statement.
Early Sunday evening, Ruddy attempted to soften his criticism of the White House chief of staff, saying in a tweet that he had just spoken with Priebus.
“Reince just briefed me on new WH plans. Impressive!” he tweeted. “Told him I have ‘open mind’ based on his results.”

Trump Vows To ‘End Cancer’ By Deregulating ‘Hidden Drugs’

Trump to cure terminal illnesses by forcing Big Pharma to release revolutionary drugs
President Trump has promised millions of American citizens that he will put an end to terminal illnesses by forcing Big Pharma companies to make cutting edge drugs available to the public as soon as possible.
Donald Trump told chief executives from some of America’s biggest drug companies that the time had come for them to release the ‘hidden drugs’ that will put an end to many terminal illnesses.
Express.co.uk reports:
Speaking to a group of America’s leading pharmaceutical executives, he said: “They come up with a new drug for a patient that is terminal and the FDA say we can’t approve the drug, we don’t know if the drug is going to work.
“But the patient is going to die in four weeks and they say we don’t want to harm the patient, but the patient isn’t going to live for more than four weeks.”
He vowed to speed up the approval process so desperately ill Americans can get the treatment they urgently need.
President Trump, 70, said: “So we’re going to change a lot of the rules.
“You’re going to get your prices either approved, or not approved, but it’s not going to take 15 years.”
The billionaire tycoon then appeared to be waging war on the nation’s pharmaceutical companies as he lambasts them for the high prices of prescription drugs, vowing to lower the “astronomical prices”.
But in the same breath President Trump criticised foreign price controls for giving America a bad deal.
The Republican said: “We’re going to be ending global freeloading. Foreign price controls reduce the resources of American drug companies to finance drug and R& D innovation.
“I think you people know very well, it’s very unfair to this country.
“Our trade policy will prioritize that foreign countries pay their fair share for U.S.-manufactured drug, so our drug companies have greater financial resources to accelerate development of new cures, and I think that’s so important.
“Right now it’s very unfair what other countries are doing to us.”
He also demanded the big pharmaceutical companies return their production to America – which ties in with his “America First” outlook for the future.
His desire to see massive pharma companies return to American soil could be to ensure they pay their fair share of US tax and provide jobs for American workers.

The Truth About Trump’s ‘Muslim Ban’
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNu4xU9qOEM
While the lying media is perpetuating the lie that refugees do not pose a terrorist threat, the facts show otherwise. Senator, and soon-to-be Attorney General, Jeff Sessions compiled this list of refugees-turned-jihadists in 2016 while Obama was pushing to dramatically increase the amount of so-called “refugees” allowed into the United States. Twenty ‘vetted’ refugees turned to terrorism after being allowed into America.
The flurry of anguished news stories and protests surrounding President Trump’s executive action temporarily suspending “immigrants and non-immigrants” from “countries of particular concern” appears to be part of a coordinated PR effort financed by left-wing billionaire George Soros.
Rather than a complete “Muslim ban” as promised during the campaign, Trump’s executive order contains moderate refugee restrictions, similar to those that have been implemented by President Obama. If reports are true that restrictions are being applied even to green-card holders, that is an unfortunate misapplication of the law that will likely soon be corrected.
Protesters quickly materialized Saturday at JFK Airport, where some refugees were being temporarily detained.
Reportedly, open-borders advocate Soros has provided some $76 million for immigrant issues over the past decade, as Soros-funded “immigrant rights groups” helped influence President Obama’s immigration policy.

Judge halts implementation of Trump’s immigration order
POSTED 7:29 PM, JANUARY 28, 2017, BY CNN WIRE, UPDATED AT 08:14PM, JANUARY 28, 2017
WASHINGTON (CNN) — A federal judge granted an emergency stay Saturday night for citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries who have already arrived in the US and those who are in transit, and who hold valid visas, ruling they can legally enter the US — a decision that halts President Donald Trump’s executive order barring citizens from those countries from entering the US for the next 90 days.
“The petitioners have a strong likelihood of success in establishing that the removal of the petitioner and other similarly situated violates their due process and equal protection guaranteed by the United States Constitution,” US District Judge Ann Donnelly wrote in her decision.
“There is imminent danger that, absent the stay of removal, there will be substantial and irreparable injury to refugees, visa-holders, and other individuals from nations subject to the January 27, 2017, Executive Order,” the ruling said.
The ACLU argued Saturday evening in a federal court in New York for a nationwide stay that would block the deportation of all people stranded in US airports under what the group called “President Trump’s new Muslim ban.”
The civil rights group is representing dozens of travelers held at John F. Kennedy International Airport Friday and Saturday, including two Iraqis with ties to the US military who had been granted visas to enter the United States.
The class-action lawsuit is the first legal challenge to Trump’s controversial executive order, which indefinitely suspends admissions for Syrian refugees and limits the flow of other refugees into the United States by instituting what the President has called “extreme vetting” of immigrants.
The two Iraqis, Hameed Khalid Darweesh and Haider Sameer Abdulkaleq Alshawi, had been released by Saturday night. But lawyers for other detained travelers said in a court filing that “dozens and dozens” of individuals remained held at JFK.
Trump’s order, signed Friday, bars travel from seven Muslim-majority countries, including Iraq, to the US for 90 days. It also suspends the US Refugee Admissions Program for 120 days until it is reinstated “only for nationals of countries for whom” members of Trump’s Cabinet deem can be properly vetted.
According to court papers, both Darweesh and Alshawi were legally allowed to come into the US but were detained in accordance with Trump’s order.
Darweesh, who worked as an interpreter for the US during the Iraq War, was released from detention early Saturday afternoon.
“America is the land of freedom,” he told reporters at the airport shortly after his release. “America is the greatest nation.”
A source with knowledge of the case confirmed Darweesh will be allowed into the US due to provisions in Trump’s order that allow the State and Homeland Security departments to admit individuals into the US on a case-by-case base for certain reasons, including when the person is already in transit and it would cause undue hardship and would not pose a threat to the security of the US.
The suit said Darweesh held a special immigrant visa, which he was granted the day of Trump’s inauguration on January 20, due to his work for the US government from 2003 to 2013.
Alshawi was released Saturday night, according to his attorney, Mark Doss.
Rep. Nydia Velazquez, D-New York, who had arrived at JFK by early Saturday afternoon to try and secure the release of the two Iraqis, railed against Trump’s order and pledged continued action.
“This should not happen in America,” Velazquez said following Darweesh’s release. “One by one, street by street, if we have to go to court, we will fight this anyplace, anywhere.”
‘The executive order is unlawful’
The lawsuit said the US granted Alshawi a visa earlier this month to meet with his wife and son, whom the US already granted refugee status for her association with the US military.
The lawyers for the two men called for a hearing because they maintain the detention of people with valid visas is illegal.
“Because the executive order is unlawful as applied to petitioners, their continued detention based solely on the executive order violates their Fifth Amendment procedural and substantive due process rights,” the lawyers argue in court papers.
Court papers said Customs and Border Protection authorities did not allow the lawyers to meet with the men and told them to try reaching Trump. Velázquez and fellow New York Democratic Rep. Jerrold Nadler said they attempted to speak to Darweesh and Alshawi at JFK’s Terminal 4 earlier Saturday but were denied.
“When Mr. Darweesh’s attorneys approached CBP requesting to speak with Mr. Darweesh, CBP indicated that they were not the ones to talk to about seeing their client. When the attorneys asked, ‘Who is the person to talk to?’ the CBP agents responded, ‘Mr. President. Call Mr. Trump,'” the court papers read.
Doss, an attorney with the International Refugee Assistance Project, told CNN his clients knew they had to get to the US as soon as possible so they boarded the first flight they could.
The two men had been allowed to make phone calls. They do not know each other, and it is unclear if they were held together or separately, or if they were kept in a holding cell, according to Doss.
“Our courageous plaintiff and countless others risked their lives helping US service members in Iraq. Trump’s order puts those who have helped us in harm’s way by denying them the safe harbor they have been promised in the United States,” said Karen Tumlin, the legal director of the NILC.
The lawsuit was earlier reported by The New York Times.
Legality questioned
Trump’s executive order, titled “Protection Of The Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into The United States,” makes good on his longtime campaign promise to tighten borders and halt certain refugees from entering the United States.
The countries impacted are Iran, Iraq, Syria, Sudan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia, according to a White House official. It also caps the total number of refugees admitted into the United States during the 2017 fiscal year at 50,000, down more than half from the current level of 110,000.
“I am establishing new vetting measures to keep radical Islamic terrorists out of the United States of America,” Trump said during the signing at the Pentagon. “We don’t want them here.”
But the order immediately raised questions about its legal standing.
“What this order does is take people who played by the rules who have been rigorously vetted and slams the door of the country in their face because of their religion,” said David Leopold, an immigration attorney and the former president of the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
But Stephen Yale-Loehr, a professor of immigration law practice at Cornell Law School, said Trump’s order may have merit.
“The plaintiffs are alleging a variety of reasons why they should not be detained under the executive order. Their arguments include the equal protection clause of the Constitution and a provision in the immigration law that prohibits national origin discrimination,” Yale-Loehr said. “However, presidents have wide discretion on immigration, because immigration touches national sovereignty and foreign relations. Courts tend to defer to whatever a president declares on immigration. I think the administration could win.”
An administration official told CNN if a person has a valid visa to enter the US but is a citizen of one of the seven countries under the temporary travel ban, then the person cannot come into the US. If the person landed after the order was signed Friday afternoon, then the person would be detained and put back on a flight to their country of citizenship.
Separately, Department of Homeland Security officials acknowledged people who were in the air would be detained upon arrival and put back on a plane to their home country. An official was not able to provide numbers of how many have already been detained.
Progressives outraged
Democrats and liberal-leaning groups continued to denounce Trump’s order Saturday as racist.
“The first two refugees kept out of America by President Trump’s order are Iraqis who helped US troops survive during the war,” Rep. Jim Cooper, D-Tennessee, said on Twitter. “These men risked their lives for years to keep our troops safe. One was with the 101st Airborne. This is no way to treat our allies.”
Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders called the action an “anti-Muslim order” that “plays into the hands of fanatics wishing to harm America.”
And Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer called on the Trump administration to “rescind these anti-American executive actions that will do absolutely nothing to improve our safety.”
Travelers turned away
Sarah Assali from Allentown, Pennsylvania, told CNN Saturday that the US government stopped six of her Syrian family members at Philadelphia International Airport and sent them back to Doha, Qatar, the origin city of their flight.
Assali said her family members were persecuted Christians and did not speak very good English, so they did not fully understand why they were being put on a plane back to the Middle East.
Additionally, some US-bound travelers who were either refugees or from countries specified in Trump’s executive ban have been turned back from Cairo International Airport, according to a Cairo airport official who is not authorized to speak to the media.
The official said they were required to follow the instructions of the United States in the matter. He said “(The airport personnel) have no choice but to follow orders. I don’t want to blame anyone here.”

VOTER FRAUD: Over 25 Million Registered Voters are Invalid, Inaccurate or Dead
By Pamela Geller - on January 29, 2017
VOTER FRAUD
Anyone who thinks Donald Trump is calling for an investigation into voter fraud to challenge the results from the 2016 election isn’t really paying attention.
President Trump is looking out for us and the integrity of the voting process. He isn’t looking back, he’s looking forward. President Trump wants to protect the process and insure the future elections are free, fair and uncorrupted by groups funded by malevolent, subversive forces.
President Donald J. Trump’s action-packed first week in office, he promised “a major investigation into VOTER FRAUD,” as he explained Wednesday morning, via Twitter. This will include “those registered to vote in two states, those who are illegal and even those registered to vote who are dead (and many for a long time). Depending on results, we will strengthen up voting procedures!”
Indeed, registration irregularities are disturbingly routine. According to a 2012 Pew Center for the States report, 1.8 million dead Americans were registered to vote. Also, 2.75 million Americans were enrolled in two states each, while 68,725 were enrolled in three. Indeed, Pew found, “24 million — one of every eight — active voter registrations in the United States are no longer valid or are significantly inaccurate.”
Voter fraud happens.
How many on the Left who attack Trump on this issue would sign up to have their votes erased by invalid ballots? Every Leftist who screamed, “Count every vote!” during the 2000 Florida Bush v. Gore meltdown should empathize with the Right’s parallel imperative: “Protect every vote!”
While the world patiently awaits that development, America’s 45th president may pursue this issue as energetically as his predecessor concealed it. (Townhall)
“President Trump’s decision to renew the federal government’s interest in enforcing laws against election fraud and the procedures that work to prevent such activities is important,” said J. Christian Adams, president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation and former federal prosecutor in the Justice Department’s Voting Division. “The Obama Administration had the tools to fight voter fraud but let them gather dust. Because of that neglect of their duties, aliens got on the rolls, people voted multiple times, and lawlessness took hold of our elections.”
OVER 25 MILLION REGISTERED VOTERS ARE INVALID, INACCURATE OR DEAD
Liberty Headlines, January 28 2017:
A study revealing that over 800,000 non-citizens voted for Hillary Clinton doesn’t account for dead and fraudulent voters, which accounted for over 25 million “registered voters” during the 2012 presidential election – and little has changed since then.
Illegal alien voters combined with dead and “multiple state” voters could easily explain Clinton’s “popular vote” margin over Donald Trump in the 2016 presidential election, especially considering that her “victory” came from Democratic-controlled counties known for illegal immigration and loose voter ID laws such as in New York and California.
“A report by the Pew Center on the States finds that more than 1.8 million dead people are currently registered to vote, and 24 million registrations are either invalid or inaccurate,” NPR reported in 2012, which is ironic given how NPR is heavily controlled by Democrats.
It’s also worth noting that the U.S. population has increased since 2012, meaning that there’s likely more dead and invalid voters than before.
“…The Pew study found that almost 3 million people are registered to vote in more than one state,” NPR added.
That’s because when a new resident registers to vote in a state, officials usually never bother to tell his former state about the change in voter residency…

Donald Trump’s Handwritten Prayer to God Will Be Placed at Jerusalem’s Western Wall. Here’s What It Says.
"May you bless the United States..."
Posted November 1, 2016
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has penned a handwritten note to be placed at Jerusalem’s Western Wall.
The brief note, presumably written in Trump’s own handwriting, reads, “May you bless the United States, our armed forces and our allies. May your guiding hand protect and strengthen our great nation,” as the Jewish Telegraphic Agency reported.
Media outlets learned of Trump’s brief prayer note this week after some of his campaign staffers snapped a picture and sent it to Hebrew-language newspaper Yediot Acharonot.

Tump gave the original copy of the note to David Faiman, an advisor who will take it to Israel and have it placed inside a crevice in the wall. The candidate reportedly decided to write the note after a conversation with his daughter, Ivanka, who is Jewish.
As the Times of Israel noted, it is common practice for worshippers to stick notes in crevices between the stones that make up the Western Wall; the structure is the only remaining part of the Second Temple following its destruction by the Romans in 70 A.D.

It is also common practice for a person who is unable to personally visit the wall to give written prayers to friends or family who can, in turn, place those invocations between the stones, as Religion News Service reported.
While some will certainly speculate that Trump’s latest act of prayer is one aimed at garnering support among Jewish and Christian voters, others will see his decision to send the prayer to the Western Wall — known in Hebrew as “Kotel” — as one rooted in respect for people of faith.
David Weissman, an American citizen who lives in Israel and supports Trump, told Religion News Service he believes the act shows that the candidate “respects Jewish tradition and prayer, and acknowledges the Kotel belongs to the Jewish people and he believes in God.”
As Faithwire previously reported, this isn’t the first time Trump has made prayer-related headlines of late. In a recent interview with CBN News, Trump and his wife, Melania, shared their biggest prayer requests with reporter David Brody.

President Trump returns bust of Churchill to Oval Office
By Pamela Geller - on January 21, 2017
Exhale. Freedom is back.
“Obama started his presidency by returning to the British Embassy the bust of Winston Churchill that had graced the Oval Office,” Krauthammer said at the time. The bust of Sir Winston Churchill by Sir Jacob Epstein was a gift to the United States in the wake of 9/11 as a signal of the strong transatlantic relationship.

PURGING OBAMA — EXHALE.
PRESIDENT TRUMP RETURNS BUST OF CHURCHILL TO OVAL OFFICE
By Dave Boyer – The Washington Times – Friday, January 20, 2017
WINSTON CHURCHILL IS BACK IN THE OVAL OFFICE.
On his first day in office, President Trump brought back a bust of the legendary British prime minister to the West Wing, after President Obama had removed it. Mr. Obama replaced it with a bust of Martin Luther King Jr.
Reporters who were summoned to the Oval Office Friday night to witness Mr. Trump signing an executive order noticed the Churchill bust had been returned to the Oval Office.
British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson had speculated that Mr. Obama removed Churchill’s bust in part because he is “part-Kenyan,” and was motivated by anti-colonial feelings. Mr. Obama refuted that, saying he had moved the bust to a place of prominence in his private office in the White House residence.
“I love Winston Churchill, I love the guy,” Mr. Obama said.
Mr. Trump did more redecorating, replacing Mr. Obama’s crimson drapes in the Oval Office with gold ones. He also added a bust of Teddy Roosevelt on one of the bookshelves, and swapped out some of Mr. Obama’s artwork in the presidential office.

Trump signals changing priorities, revises White House website to remove climate change
Ashley Parker
The Washington Post
Just moments after President Donald Trump took the oath of office Friday, the official White House website was transformed into a set of policy pledges - and absence of them - that offered the broad contours of the Trump administration's top priorities, including fierce support for law enforcement and gun owners' rights to defend themselves, the disappearance of the outgoing White House's policy page on climate change and a notable lack of any directives involving former president Barack Obama's Affordable Care Act.
Otherwise, Trump's first day as the nation's chief executive was largely ceremonial. The president took several executive actions after he was sworn in at noon, the most notable being to overturn a recent mortgage-fee reduction - geared at helping first-time and low-income home buyers - that Obama announced last week and that called for the Federal Housing Administration to cut its annual borrowing fee by a quarter of a percentage point.
The issues page of Trump's White House offered no new plans or policies but rather a rehash of many of his most prominent campaign promises - a signal to the nation that Trump, more pragmatic than ideological, plans to implement at least the key guideposts of his campaign vision.
His policies include plans to both withdraw from and renegotiate major trade deals, grow the nation's military and increase cyber-security capabilities, build a wall at the nation's southern border and deport undocumented immigrants who have committed violent crimes.
"Our job is not to make life more comfortable for the rioter, the looter, or the violent disrupter," read the law and order section, which calls for "more law enforcement" and "more effective policing." "Our job is to make life more comfortable for parents who want their kids to be able to walk the streets safely. Or the senior citizen waiting for a bus. Or the young child walking home from school."
The new White House website updated almost simultaneously as Trump retreated inside the Capitol to sign a series of largely perfunctory executive actions, including a waiver for retired Gen. James Mattis to lead the Defense Department, despite having only been retired for three years. Without the waiver, federal law would have prohibited Mattis from serving as defense secretary until he had been retired from military service for at least seven years.
Trump's official website differed in both style and tone from that of his predecessor. The site repeatedly referred to the former businessman as "Mr. Trump," not "President Trump," whereas Obama went by "President Obama" on his administration's website. (Vice President Pence is referred to by his office, rather than as "Mr. Pence"). And Trump's biographical page devoted significant space to boasting about his electoral win - from the 17 Republican primary rivals he vanquished to what he called his "truly national victory and a historic movement."
Strikingly absent from the six issues the website highlighted - and from his speech Friday - was anything on repealing or replacing Obamacare. The issue was a defining feature of his campaign, and aides have signaled he may begin the process of undoing the law in a series of executive actions he hopes to sign in the early days of his presidency.
Nor did Trump mention health care among a set of goals he articulated in his inaugural speech's pledge to end what he termed "American carnage" and improve the fabric of life for the nation's citizens. The closest he came was to include among his scientific aspirations "to free the Earth from the miseries of disease."

During his campaign and afterward, Trump has pledged that fundamental changes to the health-care system would be a first priority. In a speech outside Philadelphia six days before the November election, Trump vowed to abolish the Affordable Care Act before he was sworn in. "Have to do it," he said. "I will ask Congress to convene a special session so we can repeal and replace."
Last week, both chambers of Congress approved a budget resolution that was the first legislative step toward repealing the 2010 law, which was the centerpiece of the Obama administration's health policies. But health care was not among a half-dozen issue areas listed on the new WhiteHouse.gov website that debuted shortly after noon on Friday.
The climate change web page that existed under Obama was not replaced on the Trump site, with scant mention of climate change under the new president's energy plan. Also gone or not immediately replaced were the web pages the previous administration had devoted to the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender individuals; people with disabilities; and civil rights more generally.
Trump's entire campaign was largely a repudiation of Obama, and a new Republican administration is unlikely to have the same set of issues and priorities as an outgoing Democratic one. But the missing issue pages were particularly alarming to Democrats and activists, especially after a vitriolic campaign in which Trump drew criticism for seeming to mock a disabled reporter and being insensitive to the needs and rights of minority communities.
The Trump administration did not respond to requests for comment on the missing issue pages.
On energy, Trump vowed to eliminate "harmful and unnecessary policies" such as the Climate Action Plan and the Waters of the United States rule. The first represents a variety of efforts Obama had pursued to reduce U.S. greenhouse gas emissions while the second is a rule issued by the Environmental Protection Agency to protect not only the largest waterways but smaller tributaries that others believe should fall under the jurisdiction of states rather than the federal government.
The initial Trump website also did not devote a separate section to immigration, another central tenet of his candidacy, though it mentioned immigration under the law enforcement section. Despite rumors within the immigration advocacy community that one of Trump's initial executive actions could be to revoke Obama's protections for the so-called "Dreamers" - undocumented immigrants brought to the country as young children - his website so far focused only on big-picture enforcement and security goals.
"He is dedicated to enforcing our border laws, ending sanctuary cities, and stemming the tide of lawlessness associated with illegal immigration," read part of the immigration section.
The new administration's language echoed Trump's tough rhetoric on the campaign trail, including his promises to strengthen the law enforcement community, crack down on he views as a broad range of trade violations and potentially forge alliances with countries long considered dangerous rivals, like Russia.
"Finally, in pursuing a foreign policy based on American interests, we will embrace diplomacy," read part of Trump's policy vision. "The world must know that we do not go abroad in search of enemies, that we are always happy when old enemies become friends, and when old friends become allies."
Melania Trump, the first lady, also received a biographical overhaul. Her web page featured a black and white glamour shot of her, and touted her QVC jewelry line and modeling career, describing the many high fashion photographers with whom she has worked and the glossy magazines for which she has posed (Vogue and the Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition, among others).
The first lady's biography also correctly stated that she began college at the University of Ljubljana in Slovenia, her home country, but never graduated - a fact that was misstated during the campaign.
Only at the very end of her page did Melania offer a glimpse of the sort of first lady she might be: "Mrs. Trump cares deeply about issues impacting women and children," read the biography, "and she has focused her platform as First Lady on the problem of cyber bullying among our youth."

California Introduces Law To Jail Anyone Who Questions Man-Made Climate Change: “First Amendment Now Dead”
Excerpted from The Washington Times: A landmark California bill gaining steam would make it illegal to engage in climate-change dissent, clearing the way for lawsuits against fossil-fuel companies, think-tanks and others that have “deceived or misled the public on the risks of climate change.”
The first-of-its-kind legislation — Senate Bill 1161, or the California Climate Science Truth and Accountability Act of 2016 — is scheduled for floor action Thursday after clearing Senate committees in April and May.
The measure would allow state and local prosecutors to pursue claims against climate-change skepticism as a violation of the state’s Unfair Competition Law [UCL], as well as extend the four-year statute of limitations for such claims retroactively to Jan. 1, 2021.
“This bill explicitly authorizes district attorneys and the Attorney General to pursue UCL claims alleging that a business or organization has directly or indirectly engaged in unfair competition with respect to scientific evidence regarding the existence, extent, or current or future impacts of anthropogenic induced climate change,” says the state Senate Rules Committee’s floor analysis.
While the measure enjoys broad support by a bevy of environmental groups, the bill has also been described as an effort to ban free speech on climate change as well as chill donations to free-market groups.
Stephen Frank, editor of the conservative California Political Review, called the bill a “totalitarian statement by Democrats that the First Amendment is now dead.”
“Did you donate to the Pacific Legal Foundation? Do you support Americans for Prosperity? Are you a member of the California Republican Party, which has a platform approving of all forms of energy, including fossil fuel (oil)? Do you work for a gas station, an oil company, have your written a letter to the editor in favor of oil drilling?” asked Mr. Frank in a May 31 post.
“If so, you could find yourself with being charged in a court of law, thanks to SB 1161,” Mr. Frank said.
California Attorney General Kamala Harris belongs to a coalition of 17 state attorneys general that joined forces in March to pursue climate-change skeptics, starting with ExxonMobil.
The bill declares that there is no legitimate disagreement on the causes and extent of climate change, stating that, “There is broad scientific consensus that anthropogenic global warming is occurring and changing the world’s climate patterns, and that the primary cause is the emission of greenhouse gases from the production and combustion of fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and natural gas.”
Five of Trump’s Six Inaugural Faith Leaders Have Strong Ties to Judaism and Israel

Donald Trump’s inauguration on Friday will not only be a momentous occasion, it will also be visibly religious, with six members of the clergy ushering in the new president. Underlying it all will be an unprecedented presidential connection to Israel and Judaism.
Trump’s campaign was strongly connected to Judaism, with his Jewish daughter and son-in-law, Jared and Ivanka Kushner, constantly by his side. His inauguration will be even more so. Rabbi Marvin Hier, the dean and founder of the Simon Wiesenthal Center and its Museum of Tolerance, is slated to give a benediction after Trump’s inaugural address. It will be the first time since Ronald Reagan’s second term in office in 1985 that a rabbi has offered a prayer at a presidential inauguration.
Though Rabbi Hier is a long-time friend of Jared Kushner’s parents, Trump’s choice in rabbi’s is also an indirect jab at the man he is replacing in the Oval Office. In its list of the top ten anti-Semitic/anti-Israel incidents of 2016 released two weeks ago, Rabbi Hier’s organization posted President Barack Obama’s decision not to veto the United Nations Security Council resolution 2334 as number one.
But the Jewish connection doesn’t end there. Of the six faith leaders present at the inauguration, five of them have strong ties to Judaism or Israel. Bishop Wayne Jackson of Great Faith Ministries International, who will give a benediction at the ceremony, made headlines last September when he draped a tallit (Jewish prayer shawl) over Trump’s shoulders during a campaign visit to Bishop Jackson’s Detroit church.
In addition to prayer shawls, Jackson’s ministry has adopted many Jewish customs as part of their worship, including observing the Jewish holidays and Sabbath on Saturday. Bishop Jackson is reported to have a personal Torah scroll in his home.

Also participating is evangelist Paula White-Cain. White-Cain, who is close to Trump, is reported to fast on Yom Kippur and perform other Jewish rituals, though she has encountered some criticism for perceived misappropriation of those rituals. When she had herself wrapped in a Torah scroll during a ceremony, many Jewish groups spoke out in protest.
Trump will also receive blessings from major evangelical figures Rev. Franklin Graham and Rev. Dr. Samuel Rodriguez. Rev. Graham, of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association, is an outspoken and strong supporter of Israel. He criticized Obama’s failure to veto the anti-Israel UN resolution, saying, “Israel is America’s closest ally in the Middle East and the only true democracy in that region of the world… For the U.S. not to stand with Israel is shameful.”
Rev. Rodriguez is another strong pro-Israel figure. He serves on the board of directors for the National Association of Evangelicals and the National Hispanic Christian Leadership Conference, the world’s largest Hispanic Christian organization. In 2015, Rev. Rodriguez’s organization launched launched an initiative called the Hispanic Israel Leadership Coalition (HILC) to support Israel.
The current Archbishop of New York, His Eminence Timothy Michael Cardinal Dolan, will also speak at the inauguration.
Trump’s clergy-laden inauguration will contrast markedly with President Obama’s second inauguration in 2013, when Myrlie Evers-Williams became the first non-clerical figure to deliver an inaugural prayer.

President Trump to US: We are taking the country back
14 minutes ago
From the section US & Canada
Power belongs to the American people again, President Donald Trump said after he was sworn in as US president.
He took the oath of office on the steps of the US Capitol and soon after was signing executive orders.
Thousands of Trump supporters travelled across the country to witness the occasion from the National Mall.
The moment marks the end of an improbable journey for the property tycoon after a campaign marked by controversy.
In his inaugural address, he promised to be the voice of the "forgotten people", ignored by Washington politicians.
Today, he said, was "the day the people became rulers of this nation again".
"I will fight for you with every breath left in my body and I will never ever let you down," said President Trump after Chief Justice John Roberts administered the oath.
"America will start winning again, winning like never before.
"We will bring back our jobs, bring back our borders, bring back our wealth and we will bring back our dreams."
President Trump and Vice President Mike Pence waved goodbye as the Bidens and Obamas left the Capitol.
The Obamas held hands as they boarded a military helicopter that took them to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland.
The big experiment - Anthony Zurcher, BBC News, Washington
If Donald Trump's speech at the Republican National Convention was billed as "midnight in America" - a pessimistic view of the current conditions in the US - then his message on inauguration day was that it's always darkest before the dawn.
In an address that was tonally consistent with candidate Trump's campaign rhetoric, the president railed against a Washington elite that flourished while the American people suffered.
Early reports were that Mr Trump would offer a non-ideological appeal for national unity - and there were motions in that direction at times toward the end of his speech. This address, however, was very much aimed at his supporters - uniting the people with pitchforks against an out-of-touch establishment.
American voters - at least ones in enough states to form an Electoral College majority - have taken a chance on Mr Trump. His presidency will be a remarkable experiment for American democracy, as it's clear after this speech that Mr Trump intends to govern as he campaigned.
The new president has set the stage. He has four years to make his supporters proud and prove all the doubters wrong.
Read Anthony's piece in full
Mr Obama was addressing staff and supporters at the base before he and his wife fly to Palm Springs, California, for vacation.
The historic moment drew congratulation messages from dignitaries around the world including Pope Francis, who said he was praying Mr Trump's decisions would be guided by the "rich spiritual and ethical values" that have shaped America's history.
He added: "Under your leadership, may America's stature continue to be measured above all by its concern for the poor, the outcast and those in need."
British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson also offered well wishes on Twitter, telling Mr Trump he looked forward to continuing the "strong UK-US bond".
Hillary Clinton, who lost to Mr Trump in a dramatic upset in November's election, attended the ceremony with her husband, former President Bill Clinton.
Former presidents and first ladies, including George W Bush and his wife Laura as well as Jimmy Carter, were in attendance.
"I'm here today to honour our democracy & its enduring values. I will never stop believing in our country & its future. #Inauguration", Mrs Clinton tweeted after her arrival.
The only absences were 92-year-old George Bush Senior, who is in hospital being treated for respiratory problems, and his wife Barbara.
Members of Congress were also in attendance, although more than 50 House Democrats had refused to attend the ceremony.
The 45th president has vowed to roll back many of his predecessor's policies, including repealing Mr Obama's signature health care law and building a wall along the US-Mexico border.
Earlier, about 150 protesters dressed in black marched through Washington, smashing windows and rolling rubbish bins into the street to form blockades.
Thousands of police have been deployed and many kilometres of crowd barriers set up as part of a vast security operation ahead of the inauguration.
Some spectators had waited for hours.
"I'm here for history," said 24-year-old Kevin Puchalski. "This is the first president that I voted for that won."
Chris Lehmann, a 55-year-old maintenance supervisor from Belmar, New Jersey, said: "I'm so excited, I'm like, on top of the world."
The Women's March on Washington on Saturday - for racial and gender equality, and other issues perceived to be under threat from Mr Trump's administration - is expected to draw about 200,000 people.
Addressing supporters on Thursday night at a pre-inaugural concert, Mr Trump pledged to unify America, bring change and make the country great "for all of our people".
Meanwhile in New York, thousands of people attended a rally where dozens of celebrities and politicians voiced their concerns about the president-elect.
Farewell Obama
In Historic First, Israeli Settler Politicians Attend Trump Inauguration
“Be strong and of good courage; for thou shalt cause this people to inherit the land which I swore unto their fathers to give them.” (Joshua 1:6)
As Donald Trump is sworn in as the 45th president of the United States on Friday, several representatives of Judea, Samaria, and the Temple Mount will be on hand to bear witness to the historic event many hope will usher in a new era of close relations between the US and Biblical Israel.
Rabbi Yehudah Glick, a Likud Knesset member (MK) and Temple Mount activist, will attend along with Likud MK Sharren Haskel as part of a delegation organizd by Hayovel, a non-profit organization that brings Christian volunteers to Israel. It will be the first time that Israeli politicians attend the inauguration of a U.S. president. The group will engage in a multi-faith prayer for the new president.
“Actually I already started my prayer on Monday in the Knesset plenum,” Glick told The Jerusalem Post. “I quoted Psalms 72, a prayer that wishes to give power to the king to be successful with achieving peace, prosperity and to advance the world in the right path.”
Give the king Thy judgments, O God, and Thy righteousness unto the king’s son; That he may judge Thy people with righteousness, and Thy poor with justice. Psalms 72:1-2

“This Christian organization sends hundreds of young adults to Israel each year to work in agriculture, mainly in Samaria. Now they are having this prayer along with other pro-Zionist organizations. I am glad to continue my multi-cultural activities abroad,” he added.
“I hope to deliver to those people my message, which is that Jerusalem is the city of peace. It is an international city for all people, Jews and non-Jews, and it’s the city of global peace that knows how to bring people together. I come carrying the name of Jerusalem for this cause and I will reiterate it in all of my meetings,” he said to The Jerusalem Post. “From my understanding, most of the Trump administration…supports building [in Judea and Samaria] and expanding settlements.
“I believe that this is the way to achieve peace,” Glick said. “At some point the Palestinians will understand that this is what is best for them. I am optimistic, and I think that we have an opportunity here that we should not miss,” he said. “Our capital is Jerusalem and I see no reason why all countries should not move their embassies there.”

Joining the delegation will be Rabbi Jeremy Gimpel, Deputy Director of the World Mizrachi Movement. In a pre-inauguration speech in front of a religious audience in Washington DC, Gimpel emphasized the near-Biblical significance of Trump’s inauguration.
“I believe Donald Trump has the potential to be a legendary president. In the eyes of history, if he supports Israel’s sovereignty inJudea, Samaria and Jerusalem, he will be remembered as the Biblical King Cyrus who declared Jerusalem as the capital of the Jews more than 2,000 years ago,” Gimpel said. “There is more than enough secular diplomacy coming out Israel but the vast majority of support for Israel comes from deep religious convictions, values and beliefs.”

Rabbis Ari Abramowitz and Jeremy Gimpel (Land of Israel)
Also in attendance will be a delegation from the Yesha (Judea and Samaria) council, headed by Oded Revivi, mayor of Efrat in Gush Etzion and chief foreign envoy of the council, and Benny Kasriel, mayor of Ma’aleh Adumim. The delegation, representing over 400,000 Jews, was invited by the Trump administration to attend just a few weeks after outgoing President Barack Obama allowed a UN Security Council resolution to pass, declaring their cities, with a combined population of over 50,000 Jews, to be illegal.
“I definitely agree that we are now getting the VIP treatment, which is something that we have been working on for many years,” said Revivi to Times of Israel. “You could basically argue that it has taken 50 years, since 1967, to be recognized on such a level for such an event.”
“I think the new administration is definitely going to be one which is more responsive, more understanding and that is what’s bringing definitely a lot of hope,” Revivi said.
