Christians Should Remain Calm Empty Christians Should Remain Calm

I Disagree With This Statement.

Christians will remain calm through any trying situation because they're holding fast to their confidence in God.

The reason I disagree, is that I personally think even a strong christian panics when things occur, that upset their flow of comfort.I am not saying that they blame God, or that they suddenly turn from Him.I think we pray for healing, peace, God's control, but I also think fears for,"What are we gonna do", "How will we support ourselves", and so on invade our lives.
Every human being has an inherent desire to need a guide or support staff in life. Life has too many trials for a person to carry alone. The urge to believe that there is a power beyond the human that can make it all okay again gives us the strength to carry on. Someone all forgiving, all loving, strong, supportive... it provides us with our own strength to know that we are not alone in life regardless of our situation. And that by asking for help, it will be provided. It's the structure behind our ability to face obstacles. We don't know by any concrete means that there is such a power, it's purely faith; but as they say, faith can move mountains. I concur that even a strong christian will panic. Faith does not make us any more or less human. That component is what draws us closer to our beliefs. Faith is what gives us the motivation to be humbled, to be compassionate in that we are guiding ourselves towards our destiny after death. Faith provides us the motivation to get up in the morning when all is lost.
The bible constantly tells us not to be afraid, to keep calm, to not get angry, to keep trusting etc etc because God knows that we are human and we will panic and we will get angry and we will fret about this and that and we will get sick and we will worry. We don't see the entire picture and we don't know what God is up to, and oftentimes it's very hard to just 'accept' that things are ok the way they are. For a Christian, amidst that turmoil, there is still a calm and a peace beyond all understanding when we put our faith and trust in a God who loves us unconditionally and has our best interests at heart. One day, it will all make sense.
