NASTY: San Juan Mayor Issues Disgusting Message to Trump
October 15, 2017 William Widener
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/san-juan-mayor-issues-disgusting/?bt_ee=ID38VxvwZ8ZR5wr26phlGX+
As Puerto Rico continues to struggle with hurricane recovery efforts, one Puerto Rican mayor is seemingly focusing her efforts on attacking President Trump — instead of saving her people.

Carmen Yulín Cruz, mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, has lashed out at President Trump again. This time, she said, “The president uses Twitter sort of to disperse hate, so whomever deletes that account should be nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize,” according to The Washington Free Beacon.

Aside from that comment, Mayor Cruz told NBC’s Today host Gabe Gutierrez that the President displayed “conduct unbecoming of a leader of the free world.”

The liberal mayor continues to lash out and blame Trump for the problems in the island nation, that she, herself, has aided in creating. Instead of working to help solve the issues of distributing food and water to the people and getting electricity turned back on in afflicted areas, the mayor has been a frequent guest on CNN and MSNBC where she has joined in on the anti-Trump rhetoric.

Mayor Cruz’s latest attack against Trump — and his Twitter account — stem from a series of tweets Trump made on Thursday to criticize Puerto Rico’s government officials. The President cited their “total lack of accountability” and poor infrastructure and electrical systems long before Hurricane Maria’s impact.

Trump also tweeted, “We cannot keep FEMA, the Military & the First Responders, who have been amazing (under the most difficult circumstances) in P.R. forever!” and mentioned that Congress must decide how much funding we can afford to allocate toward hurricane relief efforts on the island.

The tweets enraged the Left (unsurprisingly), including Mayor Cruz, who took the opportunity to accuse Trump of racism. The accusation appears inconsistent with Trump’s actual behavior, as he sent more than 10,000 federal workers to Puerto Rico, as well as lifted naval shipping restrictions to escalate shipments of supplies, and allocated $42.5 million in aide between the Federal Highway Administration and the Transportation Department, according to Fortune.

Meanwhile, Mayor Cruz seemingly expects the US to handle all recovery efforts, funding, and logistics without her own government stepping up.

While claiming that her people are suffering and accusing Trump of “genocide,” the mayor has spent precious time getting printed shirts reading “Nasty” and “Help Us, We Are Dying” made for interviews with Univision and CNN, and has received hefty television time to criticize Trump.

Mayor Cruz also admitted that she herself had not participated in meetings with FEMA officials, a fact that FEMA administrator Brock Long confirmed.

In an interview with The Daily Caller, Angel Perez, mayor of Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, said his experience with government officials has been positive, and “very different” from Mayor Cruz’s. “If there was not an interest in helping Puerto Rico, we wouldn’t have the visits from the Congress and the visit from the president — it would never happen,” Perez said.

Carmen Yulín Cruz, mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico, continues to lash out at President Trump. Is it time to replace her as mayor?

Should incompetent San Juan mayor, Carmen Yulín Cruz, be replaced?

Yes
No
Next
Puerto Rico Governor, Ricardo Rossello, said that the US government is “fulfilling his every request,” according to CNN. “The administration has answered and has complied with our petitions in an expedited manner,” Rossello said.

The comments of both Mayor Perez and Governor Rossello stand in stark contrast to what Mayor Cruz is claiming. Furthermore, the claims of President Trump’s “racism” also fall flat, considering his swift and considerable efforts in Texas and Florida — areas with high populations of minorities.

The Left continues to try to morph Hurricane Maria and Puerto Rico into Trump’s “Katrina,” when the Left smeared President Bush as racist and unwilling to help Hurricane Katrina victims in New Orleans due to their race. However, Trump’s actions regarding hurricane relief this year are well documented, and speak for themselves.

REPORT: Here’s Why Puerto Rico Hurricane Victims Can’t Get Supplies
October 12, 2017 Luis Miguel
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/puerto-rico-supplies/?utm_source=boomtrain&utm_campaign=CNA_20170715&utm_medium=automated&bt_alias=eyJ1c2VySWQiOiAiMjA0NzVlMjEtYmFkYy00ZGM0LTkxMDYtOTUwZDNlN2Q5MjRlIn0%3D
Puerto Rico was devastated by Hurricane Maria, and relief efforts have been slowed down by the physical barriers of flooding, fallen trees, and destroyed infrastructure. The limited movement caused by these challenges has led to accusations of negligence by detractors of the Trump administration.

Internal issues with Puerto Rican elected officials is also hindering the recovery work. According to the Daily Caller, the US federal prosecutor in Puerto Rico is now investigating government officials who did not deliver hurricane relief to the island’s residents. There is even a case of one Puerto Rican politician who was hoarding relief supplies exclusively for the people who “voted for that person.”

This news strengthens claims that the federal government is working professionally to restore basic needs and quality of life to the Puerto Rican people in as orderly a way as possible, but that on-the-ground factors make recovery challenging.

Rosa Emilia Rodriguez, the US federal prosecutor in Puerto Rico, said on Sunday: “This morning we received information from a town on the Island where a person close to the municipal administration was asking one of our federal agents that the supplies that were there could not be touched because they were for his mayor.”

Another source told Rodriguez that a local elected official was hiding supplies meant for the general public, keeping them away for residents “who had voted for that person.”

This information arose as a result of an investigation opened at the request of Puerto Rican Governor Ricardo Rosello, who received reports saying FEMA supplies sent to some mayors were not being distributed to the people.

Rodriguez lamented that local politicians are allegedly abusing their power during a time of crisis. “This is not the time to do politics … this is the time to help and to be kind to others,” she said. “This is a tragedy and nobody should take advantage of the aid.”

The prosecutor did not reveal which towns were experiencing the abuse. “The first is from the north and the other is from the central region; and another is the metropolitan area. I can’t mention who these people are, because it could affect the investigation.”

According to the Miami Herald, the US Department of Defense has taken over the distribution of hurricane relief from local government officials because mayors have not been properly distributing relief containers at staging sites. Now, 10-20 soldiers are being posted to every staging site and directly delivering supplies to every neighborhood.

After highly regarded responses to Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Irma in Florida, President Trump has been heavily criticized by the political Left over what has been perceived as inadequate help for the American territory. Nevertheless, the federal government has provided massive aid to the island.

As Christian News Alerts notes, the relief operations are being supervised by a 3-star Army General. There are over 10,000 relief and rescue workers on-site, and millions of meals and liters of water have been sent.

Although flooding, crumbled infrastructure, and blocked roads continue to get in the way of restoring electricity, federal response teams are helping hospitals during power outages by flying them onto the USS Comfort for treatment.

The Puerto Rican government was ill-prepared for the powerful storm. But the Trump administration’s recovery response is making progress, in spite of local leaders.

JUST IN: FEMA Director Drops Bombshell About San Juan Mayor, People Are Stunned
October 9, 2017 Luis Miguel
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/fema-san-juan/?utm_campaign=CNA_20170715Following President Trump’s widely-praised response to Hurricane Harvey and Irma, the mainstream media has latched onto the dire situation in Puerto Rico. They’ve placed blame on the President for the devastation caused by a massive storm in a country whose infrastructure and pre-disaster planning are greatly inferior to that of states like Texas and Florida.

FEMA head Brock Long was questioned by ABC News‘ Martha Raddatz about San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz’s repeated criticisms of the federal response to Hurricane Maria. Long said FEMA has “filtered out” the “political noise” of Cruz and are making progress restoring Puerto Rico.

Mayor Cruz has been featured in the media more than any other political figure in Puerto Rico because of her strong rhetoric against the relief efforts being carried out in her city. As NBC News notes, Cruz publicly told the Trump administration: “We are dying, and you are killing us with the inefficiency and the bureaucracy.”

Despite the presence of 10,000 relief and rescue workers on the island, the supervision of a 3-star Army General, and millions of meals and liters of water that have been sent from the US government, San Juan’s mayor has been unrelenting in her claims that the White House’s response is insufficient.

As published in The Independent, Cruz has charged: “I cannot fathom the thought that the greatest nation in the world cannot figure out logistics for a small island. I am asking the President of the United States to make sure somebody is in charge that is up to the task of saving lives.”

The outspoken mayor has even said, “if we don’t get the food and water into peoples’ hands what we are going to see is something close to a genocide.” Cruz has appeared on televisions wearing provocative T-shirts with phrases such as “Helps Us We Are Dying” and “Nasty.”

FEMA head Long says he isn’t letting the mayor’s words affect his work. “We filtered out the mayor a long time ago,” Long told ABC News. “We don’t have time for the political noise. The bottom line is that we are making progress every day in conjunction with the governor.”

Long says relief efforts are advancing, but the recovery faces unique challenges on the island. “As we make progress, simple thunderstorms pass through, knock the progress out,” Long said. “Rebuilding Puerto Rico is gonna be a greater conversation for the Congress in conjunction with the governor on what the way forward is for Puerto Rico in the future.”

The FEMA administrator specifically addressed the issue of power outages, which have been one of the primary concerns brought forth by Mayor Cruz. “But in regards to the power outages and the hospitals, we’ve built an entire 911 system,” Long said. “We monitor the hospital system daily, and so if there is a power failure at a hospital, which we’ve seen two of over this past week, we’re actually life-flighting the ICU patients out of those hospitals onto the USS comfort.”

FEMA says Puerto Rico is progressing in recovery. Given the challenges, is progress being made?

Given their infrastructure, is sufficient progress being made in Puerto Rico?

Yes
No
Next
According to Long, FEMA isn’t letting political controversies interfere with the immense relief operations being carried out. “But as far as the political noise, we filter that out, keep our heads down, and continue to make progress and push forward restoring essential functions for Puerto Rico,” he said.

As Christian News Alerts reported, fellow Puerto Rican Mayor Angel Perez of Guaynabo revealed that Cruz has not been attending FEMA meetings. Incidentally, Guaynabo praised the federal government’s response.

The Left-leaning media has tried to turn Cruz into a folk hero. But as the mayor’s character and politicking become apparent, their narrative falls apart — as it should.

JUST IN: Huckabee Reveals What REALLY Happened In Puerto Rico, Media Hiding It
October 9, 2017 Frank Spear
vhttps://www.christiannewsalerts.com/huckabee-puerto-rico/?bt_alias=eyJ1c2VySWQiOiAiMjA0NzVlMjEtYmFkYy00ZGM0LTkxMDYtOTUwZDNlN2Q5MjRlIn0%3D&utm_campaign=CNA_20170715&utm_source=boomtrain&utm_medium=automated
Former Republican governor of Arkansas Mike Huckabee has a new show on Trinity Broadcasting Network simply called “Huckabee.” The first episode aired and Huckabee managed to get an interview with President Donald Trump.

During the interview, they got on the topic of Puerto Rico and the current situation there in the wake of Hurricane Maria. Huckabee gave the president a chance to explain what really happened. According to The Washington Examiner, Trump described his trip this way: “I went to Puerto Rico, I came back — we had an incredible day.” Huckabee noted that Trump was perceived like a “rock star,” to which Trump replied, “It was crazy.”

The president went on to say that when he got there, “The cheering — it was deafening.” This likely has to do with the fact that the president is not as horribly perceived as the media would have people believe.

In fact, the president elaborated on this precise point, “Look, the media’s fake,” Trump said. “I’m here, and I sometimes ask myself, how did I ever get here with the horrible, unfair publicity.”

Trump has a perfectly valid point. Since he was just a candidate he has been under fire from every liberal media outlet under the sun. They have managed to paint him as a racist, bigot, conspirator, all with no evidence to back up their claims.

Many people were wondering how the trip to Puerto Rico was going to go, considering the president’s war of words with San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz. Cruz released a video “begging” for help.

The video made it sound as if the president was doing nothing for the people of Puerto Rico and they were being left to suffer. We know from the statements made by other officials there that this was not actually the case.

There was a serious bottleneck issue where supplies were stuck at all of the ports. Cruz seems to have not considered the complications involved with giving supplies to an island that is separated from the rest of the country, as opposed to Texas or Florida.

Instead of understanding that everything was there and needed to be unpacked, she sent out a virtue signaling distress call targeting Trump. As has been the usual case, the mainstream media took this story and ran with it.

The media covers San Juan Mayor Cruz with enthusiasm, but gives no credit to Trump for Puerto Rico recovery. Is the coverage unfair?

Has the media coverage of Puerto Rico recovery been unfair to President Trump?

Yes
No
Next
Trump confirmed with Huckabee that many of the governors and mayors that he met with while he was visiting Puerto Rico received him positively. They took the time to understand the situation and what was being done to help.

The president has had a lot on his plate since first taking over office less than a year ago. In just a couple of months, he has managed to handle three hurricanes, the deadliest mass shooting in US history, and the constant uphill battle with the media for fair coverage.

Overall, Huckabee’s show kicked off in style and President Trump had a much-needed opportunity to explain what happened in Puerto Rico in a more relaxed setting. Because of the interview on the show, the country was able to get straight answers from President Trump himself

Disaster Expert: FEMA’s Response in Puerto Rico More ‘Herculean’ Than in Texas and Florida

by BREITBART NEWS2 Oct 2017301
Former Deputy Secretary of Health and Human Services Tevi Troy told Breitbart News: Sunday Edition that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) had actually done an even better job managing Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico than it had in dealing with Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Hurricane Irma in Florida recently.
“I’ve been looking into this pretty carefully,” Troy said. “The truth is that FEMA — if you look at this in retrospect, we may find that FEMA did a more Herculean task, in some ways in Maria, in terms of the distance they had to travel, the amount of logisitcs they had to bring, and the propping up of the local response effort. So I think in time we may actually praise FEMA to some degree because they had to do more here than in the Harvey situation.”

Troy, who served in the White House under President George W. Bush, is an expert on the history of presidential responses to disasters. He is the author of Shall We Wake the President?: Two Centuries of Disaster Management from the Oval Office, and wrote an op-ed in late August in which he praised President Donald Trump’s response to Hurricane Harvey in Texas and Louisiana. “Mr. Trump’s handling of the hurricane response thus far is to be commended,” he wrote, adding — prophetically, given the storms that followed — “this is no time for complacency.”

With Hurricane Maria, Troy noted, FEMA faced additional hurdles. One was that Maria was only the latest in a string of devastating storms, so that the agency was suffering from some amount of “exhaustion.” In addition, FEMA faced several unique challenges in Puerto Rico:

It’s very hard to get the materials there that are needed that the FEMA people can bring stuff to an island, just like they do with any location, but it’s usually up to the locals to do the distribution. And that’s not possible in this situation, so that makes the whole situation harder. Also, by not being on the mainland, you don’t have the kind of ability of people to escape — like you saw in Florida, people going up [Interstate] 95 — and you also don’t have the ability of the Good Samaritans to come from afar. People came from hundreds of miles to help out in Houston, bringing supplies and rescue assistance. … Also, the first responders in the situation are victims themselves, which means they’re not necessarily showing up to work and doing the distribution and the rescuing and all the other stuff that takes place as part of recovery. So that also makes it a more difficult situation. So FEMA is doing the job of bringing supplies there, but they also have to do the local response efforts.

Troy noted that FEMA had learned much since Hurricane Katrina — the disaster to which Trump’s critics are eager to compare Hurricane Maria — but said that Puerto Rico’s weak economy and struggling government made the federal response to Puerto Rico’s problems more difficult:

A state with a strong economy and a strong response network — Florida and Texas, for example, are among the two best states at emergency response — that kind of place is easier to respond. That place has an easier time recovering because you have an existing strong economy, and you have an existing situation of a very strong response operation.

He also said that San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz went too far in fighting with President Trump. “It’s a general rule in emergency response that the locals should not be talking trash about the federal government, because the federal government is bringing assistance and help.”

Troy cited the example of Hurricane Sandy in 2012, when New Jersey Governor Chris Christie had praised President Barack Obama’s help despite backing his opponent in the election that was to be held a few days later. “It’s not always a good idea to bite the hand that feeds you.”

Troy noted that Republican presidents in particular seem to be targeted for criticism during hurricanes, and have been ever since Hurricane Andrew in 1992 contributed to negative impressions of President George H.W. Bush.

Breitbart News’ Curt Schilling, who was recently in Puerto Rico for his Operation Bullpen relief effort, spoke to Breitbart News Daily on Monday morning and warned that the situation in Puerto Rico was dire.

“We are within a week of something extreme,” he said, adding that the situation was “deteriorating rapidly” and might “fall off a cliff down there.” He also said: “The southeast part of the island is gone … It’s disappeared, and the people with it.”

BREAKING: Elizabeth Warren Issues Sick Response to Las Vegas Shooting
October 2, 2017 Adam Selene
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/warren-las-vegas/?utm_medium=push&utm_source=AP&utm_campaign=onesignal
Terror erupted on the Las Vegas strip last night when a lone gunman opened fire at a country music festival from an adjacent hotel. More than 50 are dead and over 400 are injured in the deadliest mass shooting in modern American history.

Within hours of the shooting, left-wing pundits and politicians attempted to twist the tragedy to suit their own political agenda. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) offered one of the most egregious displays of partisan hackery, taking to Twitter in the immediate aftermath of the massacre to push for gun control. “Tragedies like Las Vegas have happened too many times. We need to have the conversation about how to stop gun violence. We need it NOW,” she wrote.

“I’m heartsick for people in Nevada & across the country who woke up to this news & are worried that their family & friends are ok.” Sen. Warren said in a series of tweets politicizing the tragedy, adding, “Thoughts & prayers are NOT enough. Not when more moms & dads will bury kids this week, & more sons & daughters will grow up without parents,” she said, suggesting that more gun control is needed as she stands on the still-warm bodies of more than 50 dead Americans.

Fox News reports that police have identified the shooter as 64-year-old Stephen Paddock from Mesquite, Nevada.

The gunman was found dead with a self-inflicted gunshot wound after police broke through the door to his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. At least 10 rifles were found in the hotel room.

Paddock had been staying in the hotel room since September 28, and it appears that he deliberately targeted the Route 91 Harvest Festival, an outdoor country music festival taking place across the street from the gunman’s hotel room.

Within hours of the shooting, Sen. Warren took to Twitter to call for additional gun control. However, it appears in her haste to politize a tragedy, she forgot that these weapons have been banned by federal law since 1934.

“The type of weapon that he used,” offered Fox News contributor Judge Napolitano “is unlawful anywhere in the United States. Unless [the shooter] was a dealer licensed by the Federal government – and these licenses are extremely difficult to acquire.”

There are exceptions to this law. Fully automatic weapons purchased before 1986 are legal, and can be traded amongst collectors, “but it still would require the federal licensure. Meaning the feds would have known – the feds not the locals in Las Vegas – that this human being had a weapon that even the police don’t have because Congress outlawed these weapons in 1934,” Judge Napolitano explained.

The tragic event in Las Vegas should have us on our knees in prayer, not talking gun control. Do you believe gun control should be more strict?

POLL: Are Liberals Politicizing The Tragedy In Las Vegas?

Yes
No
Next
Despite Sen. Warren’s calls for gun legislation, the weapons used by Stephen Paddock were already heavily controlled by the Federal government. The shooter was still able to acquire and transport multiple illegal firearms, in spite of strict gun control laws.

Access to guns did not enable Stephen Paddock to commit his massacre. These guns were banned, but he was still able to inflict mass carnage.

Despite these facts, it is unlikely that Sen. Warren, or any of her colleagues, will cease their push for increased gun control.

Trump says Puerto Rico didn't suffer a 'real catastrophe' like Katrina

President Trump kicked off his visit to hurricane-ravaged Puerto Rico Tuesday by continuing to applaud his own federal recovery efforts while simultaneously attempting to downplay the devastation caused by Hurricane Maria, which has left 95 percent of the island without power and more than 50 percent without access to clean water two weeks after making landfall.

While “every death is a horror,” Trump told Puerto Rican officials, they “can be very proud” that only 16 deaths have been counted so far as a result of Maria. He compared the number with “a real catastrophe” like Hurricane Katrina in 2005, which caused more than 1,800 fatalities when it slammed into Louisiana and Alabama.

It’s unclear what Maria’s actual death toll will end up being, as the hurricane wrecked lines of communication throughout much of the island. And many people there are still struggling to get potable water and other basic supplies.

Trump’s comparison of the two deadly storms was among a series of freewheeling comments he made at a briefing with local officials, U.S. military personnel and other federal relief workers. Trump spent much of the briefing issuing effusive congratulations to response teams and members of his Cabinet, while adding in a few not-so-subtle digs at the U.S. territory.

“I hate to tell you Puerto Rico, but you’ve thrown our budget a little out of whack,” Trump said. “We’ve spent a lot of money on Puerto Rico, but it’s fine.”

A number of Puerto Rican officials were in attendance, including San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz, whose criticisms of the federal aid to Puerto Rico made her the subject of several angry Trump tweets over the weekend. But only those with positive things to say about the federal response to Maria were given a chance to speak.

For example, Trump singled out Jenniffer Gonzalez, Puerto Rico’s nonvoting member of the U.S. House of Representatives for saying “such nice things” about the federal response, and called on her — by her first name — to repeat some of those nice things in front of the cameras Tuesday.

Before proceeding to tour some of the damage to San Juan, Trump ended the briefing by thanking the Puerto Rican officials for their support and, essentially, telling them: You’re welcome.

“I know you appreciate our support because our country’s really gone all out to help,” he said. “It’s not only dangerous, it’s expensive, it’s everything. But I consider it a great honor, maybe because I know so many people from Puerto Rico. I’m from New York.”

BREAKING: Nasty Puerto Rico Plot Discovered
October 2, 2017 Frank Spear
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/puerto-rico-plot-discovered/?utm_medium=push&utm_source=AP&utm_campaign=onesignal

President Trump has worked tirelessly to help those affected by the devastation in Puerto Rico. All the while, the mainstream liberal media is taking another disturbing angle to this story.

Mika Brzezinski from CNN started pushing the narrative that what we see in Puerto Rico is equivalent to what they alleged happened during Hurricane Katrina under former President Bush, according to the Daily Wire. Now, almost all liberal publications are running wild with this narrative. This should not come as a surprise, as the Left was running out of things of which to accuse the president.

The media is conveniently ignoring obvious truths just for the sake of coming up with a story. It is despicable in every way, shape, and form namely because they are using the horror that these people are going through to paint the president poorly.

Instead of thanking President Trump for opening up all opportunities for helping the people of Puerto Rico, they are condemning him. Their mentality can be summed up in the hashtag of Brzezinski’s tweet, “#hesnotfit.”

After news of Hurricane Maria broke, the president set up tons of first responders, food, and water for the people in Puerto Rico. He has been on-task and communicating with everyone involved, including the governor of Puerto Rico who had nothing but good things to say about the president.

According to Town Hall, the governor, Ricardo Rossello said, “I have to say that the administration has responded to our petitions. FEMA, Brock Long, has been on the phone virtually all the time with me, checking out how things are going,”

He went on to explain that all of the groups, including FEMA, are working together to get everything back to where it should be. They have managed to bring phone lines back up in some areas, grocery stores are reopening, and things are, generally speaking, looking better.

While back here on the mainland, outlets like CNN are saying things such as, “Trump’s Katrina? No, it’s much worse.” It is surprising that they truly believe they can make statements like these which are so far from the truth The liberal media seems to think that the president is simply refusing to act.

All the while, the evidence of his accomplishments in ravaged Puerto Rico is right in front of their face. He is being praised by people who are actually in Puerto Rico, while the liberals are going back to their comfy homes after they get done bashing Trump.

Left-leaning politicians in Puerto Rico are using the hurricane relief crisis as a political tool to bash President Trump. Should opportunistic politicians who use a crisis to further their agendas be impeached?

POLL: Was Trump's Response to Hurricane Maria Worse Than Katrina?

Yes
No
Next
There is a tinge of hypocrisy here, to say the least. President Trump has fought back against these statements. In a tweet, he said, “Fake News CNN and NBC are going out of their way to disparage our great First Responders as a way to “get Trump.” Not fair to FR or effort!”

Before the mainstream media outlets bash Trump, the responders, and the people who are suffering in Puerto Rico, it might be wise for them to consider what they are doing for the people there who are going through this tragedy as we speak.

BREAKING: San Juan Mayor’s Sick Past Revealed
October 1, 2017 Benjamin Welton
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/san-juan-mayors-sick-past
President Donald Trump has this incredible power to criticize his opponents into revealing their true natures. San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz is just another victim of President Trump’s “truth serum.”

Mayor Cruz is not only a member of the left-wing Popular Democratic Party, but also an outspoken supporter of convicted terrorist Oscar Lopez-Rivera. When President Barack Obama pardoned Lopez-Rivera in January, Mayor Cruz was over-the-moon with joy.

“Hello, San Juan. Freedom for Oscar Lopez Rivera.. soon he will be with us. We have to thank every Puerto Rican man and woman, who for a long time, many of us didn’t know Oscar Lopez Rivera. He was fighting the fight,” Mayor Cruz said.

Mayor Cruz also added, “This great celebration is going to be in the streets and it is going to be extraordinarily large. So do come by starting Thursday to celebrate what our hearts scream for. Thanks, President Obama. Long live Oscar Lopez Rivera.”

During the 1970s and 1980s, Lopez-Rivera was one of the leaders of the FALN, a violent terrorist group that used bombs and guns to advocate for Puerto Rico’s independence from the United States.

The group’s most infamous exploit came in 1975, when an FALN bomb detonated inside of New York’s historic Fraunces Tavern. This attack killed four people and wounded many more.

FALN terrorists also had a habit of targeting New York City police officers. On New Year’s Eve 1982, four NYPD officers were injured in several FALN bomb attacks.

For his participation in these attacks, Lopez-Rivera was sentenced to thirty-five years in jail. He was let out early thanks to President Obama’s pardon.

Lopez-Rivera has refused to apologize for his past actions, and in fact, he was almost pardoned by President Bill Clinton, but the pardon fell through because Lopez-Rivera refused to renounce revolutionary violence.

These days, both Lopez-Rivera and Mayor Cruz are left-wing heroes.

Mayor Cruz first made headlines when she publicly excoriated the Trump administration for supposedly not doing enough to help Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.

“We are dying, and you are killing us with the inefficiency and the bureaucracy.”

Turns out vocal Trump critic San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz is an outspoken supporter of convicted terrorist Oscar Lopez-Rivera. Do we owe aide to terror supporters?

Do we owe aide to a terrorist supporter?

The mayor of San Juan further complained that: “This is what we got last night: four pallets of water, three pallets of meals and 12 pallets of infant food — which I gave them to the people of Comerio, where people are drinking off a creek. So I am done being polite. I am done being politically correct. I am mad as hell.”

According to one other Puerto Rican politician, Mayor Angel Perez of Guaynabo, Mayor Cruz has no right to complain. After all, Mayor Perez has said that Mayor Cruz has yet to attend a single meeting with FEMA officials or other relief agencies. Essentially, Mayor Perez believes that Mayor Cruz is complaining without helping; she is trying to score political points from a major natural disaster.

Hopefully, Puerto Rico will recover from this very serious disaster. Let us also hope that Puerto Ricans will chose better leaders in the future, not terrorist-loving malingerers.

BREAKING: Deadly Antifa Plot Uncovered – Please Pray

Here’s the REAL Reason Aid Isn’t Being Distributed to Puerto Rico — Which Liberals Don’t Want You to Know

What in the world is going on in Puerto Rico? Unfortunately, there’s disinformation from both sides of the political spectrum trying to politicize the tragedy — though the Left has dominated the narrative.

On the Left, we’re being told that the response has been both delayed, and underwhelming in terms of the aid provided. Those playing the race card are arguing that Trump paid more attention to the victims of Hurricane Harvey in Texas than those in Puerto Rico because of racism, though these know-nothings are apparently unaware that half of Texas’ population is Latino or Hispanic.

And regardless, the premise that Puerto Rico hasn’t been getting any help (or at least not much help) is completely bogus:

The aid is getting to Puerto Rico – so what’s the deal?

There’s been a fake story circulating the right-wing blogosphere that the Teamsters Union is on strike in Puerto Rico, hence why aid isn’t being disbursed. But given that the Teamsters are currently recruiting volunteers to assist with transporting supplies in Puerto Rico, obviously that’s not the case.
While there’s no strike occurring, it is true that 80 percent of truck drivers aren’t showing up for work to distribute supplies (perhaps that’s the truth from which the story originated?).

Don’t blame them however; blame Puerto Rico’s infrastructure.

According to Colonel Michael A. Valle, “The aid is getting to Puerto Rico. The problem is distribution. The federal government has sent us a lot of help; moving those supplies, in particular, fuel, is the issue right now,” says Col. Valle. Until power can be restored, generators are critical for hospitals and shelter facilities and more. But, and it’s a big but, they can’t get the fuel to run the generators.”

“It’s a lack of drivers for the transport trucks, the 18 wheelers. Supplies we have. Trucks we have. There are ships full of supplies, backed up in the ports, waiting to have a vehicle to unload into. However, only 20 percent of the truck drivers show up to work. These are private citizens in Puerto Rico, paid by companies that are contracted by the government,” he continued. “There should be zero blame on the drivers. They can’t get to work, the infrastructure is destroyed, they can’t get fuel themselves, and they can’t call us for help because there’s no communication. The will of the people of Puerto Rico is off the charts. The truck drivers have families to take care of, many of them have no food or water. They have to take care of their family’s needs before they go off to work, and once they do go, they can’t call home.”
It’s a tough dilemma – citizens need fuel and supplies to be brought to them, but the truck drivers who can do that need fuel and roads they can actually drive on. It’s a problem of circumstance, not President Trump, and not striking unions.

Puerto Rico’s Mayor Is Using The Hurricane To Attack President Trump
http://conservativefighters.com/news/puerto-ricos-mayor-using-hurricane-attack-president-trump/
Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz Soto of San Juan, Puerto Rico, is using the hurricane to attack President Trump. She deceived the public about the hurricane donations, about the death toll and she appeared on new with a shit that says “Help Us We Are Dying.” So president Trump hit her with the cold truth and her secret was uncovered.

She has an agenda which is not about helping Puerto Rico and its citizens. Her agenda is about using the hurricane to get more political points. Cruz Soto is a leftist who wants to take down Trump and her lies about him “throwing Puerto Rico under the bus” are just another way to demined him.

The truth is that she was happy with the help Puerto Rico received and she was complementing Trump. But Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer didn’t like that so they told her to reverse the comments

“The Mayor of San Juan, who was very complimentary only a few days ago, has now been told by the Democrats that you must be nasty to Trump,” Trump twitted. “Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan,” he added.

On Friday, Cruz Soto begged for more aid from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, stating at a news conference: ‘I am begging, begging anyone who can hear us to save us from dying . . . We are dying and you are killing us with the inefficiency.”

This is a lot of lies, Geraldo Rivera in an interview with her asked her, “Are people dying, I’ve been traveling around I don’t see people dying. I spoke to a doctor who treated someone with septic, but I’m wondering about people dying?” He added, “There are 16 reported dead and that number has not changed.”

To which she replied, “Dying is a continuum, if your child can’t get something to eat, they are dying. People who have eyes to see it, will see it… I don’t have time for injustice.” Adding, “You’re not looking in the right places.”

The Rivera openly asked her is this only for politics, to which she responded. “I’m not a member of the Democratic Party, I have democratic values.” So, what is she trying to say? She wants to hide who she is and her beliefs. Her secret is about a murderer Oscar López Rivera.

Oscar López Rivera is in prison with a 35-year sentence for involvement in the FALN, a Puerto Rican separatist group who is guilty of 100 bombings in U.S. during the 1970s and 1980s.

This terrorist group is also responsible for injuring three NYPD officers in numerous bombing attacks on New Year’s Eve in 1982.
Carmen Yulin Cruz Soto begged the U.N. to release him saying the deaths and the bombing associated with him are justified and should be celebrated.
Here are some of her statements she made after Obama released him, “Hello, San Juan. Freedom for Oscar Lopez Rivera… soon he will be with us. This great celebration is going to be in the streets, and it is going to be extraordinarily large. So, do come by starting Thursday to celebrate what our hearts scream for. Thanks, President Obama. And now she is spreading lies about Trump and wants people to turn on him. Maybe the mainstream media is taking her stories and presents them as truth but we know what is her agenda and her lies will never work on us.

Deadly 7.1 magnitude quake strikes just Days after largest in 100 years
At least five people are believed to have died after a huge earthquake struck southern Mexico, just days after the biggest quake to hit the country in centuries. The US geological survey said it hit five miles southeast of Atencingo in the state of Puebla, about 75 miles south of the capital Mexico City, at a depth of 32 miles.
Buildings in Mexico City shook as the quake rumbled below, and office workers fled into the street for fear of their lives. There have been reports of widespread fires in buildings across the capital and several people are said to be trapped. Video has emerged showing a huge explosion over the city following the quake, the cause of which is not yet clear.

Mexico City earthquake: 7.1 magnitude quake hits DAYS after biggest in century – 237 dead

AT LEAST 237 people have been killed and 1,900 left injured after a huge 7.1 magnitude earthquake rocked central Mexico, causing hundreds of buildings to collapse in the capital, Mexico City.

The quake struck at 1.15pm local time (7.15pm BST) and of the 237 people confirmed dead so far, 102 of them were in the capital, Mexico City.

Mexican president Enrique Pena Nieto later confirmed 22 bodies had been recovered from a collapsed school in Mexico City where 48 people remain missing.

One woman, a 32-year-old mother, told reporters: "They keep pulling kids out, but we know nothing of my daughter."

Mexican rescuers have been racing against the clock to save a 12-year-old girl trapped beneath a collapsed school.

David Porras, one of the scores of volunteers helping the search at the school for children aged 5 to 16, said: "We have a lot of hope that some will still be rescued.”

Eleven other children were rescued from the Enrique Rebsamen School, where the students are aged roughly six to 15 but 21 students and four adults there were killed.

However a number of people trapped in the school are believed to be alive with some using Whatsapp to message their parents and make it easier for rescuers to locate them.

Relief efforts have not stopped since the quake struck with volunteer rescue teams, known as 'moles', crawling under the rubble to locate and rescue those trapped by falling debris.

More than 50 survivors have been plucked from disaster sites in Mexico City, leading to impassioned choruses of "Yes we can!" from first responders, volunteers and spectators gathered around the ruins.

Some Mexico City residents slept in the street while authorities and volunteers set up tented collection centers to distribute food and water.

Volunteers, soldiers and firefighters formed human chains and dug with hammers and picks to find dust-covered survivors and dead bodies in the remains of apartment buildings, schools and a factory.

Del Valle, a middle-class neighbourhood in the capital, was among those hit hardest by the quake and all but a few buildings on one street were reduced to rubble.

With power failures still affecting large swathes of the city, much of the rescue efforts were conducted in the dark with only torches and the odd generator providing power.

In Obrera, central Mexico City, people applauded when rescuers managed to retrieve four people alive, with cheers of "si se puede" - "yes we can" - ringing out.

Dozens of buildings have been reduced to rubble across the capital, including a number of historic points of interest, while broken gas mains have sparked fires in the city.

At least nine Latin American countries have offered assistance with many sending search-and-rescue teams and technical assistance immediately.

The US, Spain, Japan and Israel have also sent help.

The US Geological Survey said the quake hit five miles southeast of Atencingo in the state of Puebla, about 100 miles south of Mexico City, at a depth of 32 miles.

The quake prompted a small eruption of Mexico's Popocatepetl volcano, which is visible from Mexico City.

On its slopes a small church collapsed, killing 15 people.

Video has emerged showing a huge explosion over the city following the quake, the cause of which is not yet clear.

The quake was recorded at 1.15pm local time and comes days after the country was hit by an 8.1 magnitude tremor, the biggest to hit Mexico in a century, killing at least 98 people.

President Nieto was on a flight to Oaxaca, one of the hardest hit areas by that quake, but he immediately returned to address the situation in Mexico City.

Just two hours before the quake struck, people had been taking part in evacuation drills on the anniversary of one of Mexico's deadliest earthquakes which struck in 1985.

In the town of Atzala, a row of coffins lined the street outside a church where the roof collapsed, killing 11 worshippers inside.

Around the same time that the earth shook, Mexico's Popocatepetl volcano, visible from the capital on a clear day, had a small eruption. On its slopes, a church in Atzitzihuacan collapsed during Mass, killing 15 people.

Many people fled into the streets, and electricity and phone lines were down in parts of the capital.

"We got out really fast, leaving everything as it was and just left," said Rosaura Suarez, as she stood with a crowd on the street.

Death toll roses to 94 after 7.1 Quake strikes Mexico, collapsing buildings

Death toll roses to 94 after 7.1 Quake strikes Mexico, collapsing buildings
A 7.1 magnitude earthquake struck near Mexico City Tuesday afternoon, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said, killing at least 94 people and leaving multiple people reportedly trapped in collapsed buildings. The death toll from the earthquake has risen to 94 nationwide after the Mexico City government reported 30 people killed in the capital.

Mexico State Gov. Alfredo del Mazo said the quake has killed at least nine people in his state, which borders Mexico City. Del Mazo said a quarry worker was killed from a rock slide due to the quake, and another died after being hit by a falling lamppost.

At least another 42 were killed in the central Mexican state of Morelos, Gov. Graco Ramirez said. Of those who died, 12 were in the city of Jojutla, and four were in the state capital of Cuernavaca.

Desperate searchers shouted "quiet" and listened for faint voices in the rubble where a Mexican school once stood, as rescuers used trained dogs and their bare hands to reach any survivors of Tuesday's magnitude-7.1 earthquake that killed more than 200 people.

Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto declared three days of national mourning on Wednesday to honor the victims in the country’s deadliest earthquake since 1985. The powerful quake struck near the town of Raboso in Puebla, about 76 miles southeast of Mexico City, the U.S. Geological Survey reported. By Wednesday, the death toll rose to 230 after the quake toppled homes, schools and apartment buildings.

"We dug holes, then crawled in on our bellies," volunteer rescue worker Pedro Serrano, 29, a doctor, told The Associated Press. "We managed to get into a collapsed classroom. We saw some chairs and wooden tables. The next thing we saw was a leg, and then we started to move rubble and we found a girl and two adults — a woman and a man."

At least 25 bodies were recovered from Escuela Enrique Rebsamen – all but four of the victims were children. Serrano said he found all the people in a classroom dead, and heard “small noises” near the site, though it’s unclear which direction it was coming from. A mix of neighborhood volunteers, police and firefighters used trained dogs and their bare hands to search through the school's rubble. The crowd of anxious parents outside the gates shared reports that two families had received Whatsapp messages from girls trapped inside, but that could not be confirmed.

Rescuers were able to find some people alive under the rubble. A child was found under a pile of rubble in the Mexico City school after workers spotted her and yelled at her to move her hand if she could hear them, Foro TV reported. A search dog entered the wreckage and confirmed she was alive.

Most of the deaths have been reported in Mexico City, where at least 94 people were killed, Luis Felipe Puente, head of Mexico's national civil defense agency, said. Another 71 people were killed in Morelos state, 43 in Puebla, 12 in the State of Mexico, four in Guerrero and one in Oaxaca.

The deadly earthquake struck on the 32nd anniversary of the 1985 earthquake that killed 10,000 people. Residents in Mexico had conducted earthquake drills just hours earlier. The earthquake occurred just two weeks after a magnitude-8.1 tremor in the south of the country killed more than 90 people and caused buildings in Mexico City to sway for more than a minute. Nieto called that earthquake the biggest quake the country has seen in a century – until now.

President Trump and Nieto “had a lengthy call” on Wednesday to speak about the tragedy, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders said. Trump tweeted "God bless the people of Mexico City" on Tuesday, after news of the earthquake broke, and added that the U.S. was "with you and will be there for you."

Late Tuesday, Mexico's president issued a video statement urging people to stay calm in the aftermath of the quake. Nieto said many people will need help, but the initial focus has to be on finding people trapped in wrecked buildings.

"The priority at this moment is to keep rescuing people who are still trapped and to give medical attention to the injured people," the president said, adding that 40 percent of Mexico City and 60 percent of Morelos state had no electricity.

The federal government declared a state of disaster in Mexico City, freeing up emergency funds. Nieto said he had ordered all hospitals to open their doors to the injured.

Mexico City's mayor said buildings fell at 44 places in the capital alone, and that 50 to 60 people were rescued. Pictures fell from walls, objects were shaken off of flat surfaces and computer monitors toppled over. Some people dived for cover under desks. Damaged buildings in the capital included the Philippines Embassy, but staffers were unhurt.

At least 70 people who were in the capital were hospitalized, authorities said.

Market stall vendor Edith Lopez, 25, said she was in a taxi when the quake struck. She said she saw glass bursting out of the windows of some buildings. She was anxiously trying to locate her children, whom she had left in the care of her disabled mother.

Gala Dluzhynska, who was taking a class in Mexico City's Roma district, said the building she was in didn't have "any stairs anymore, only rocks," after the quake hit.

Mexico City's international airport tweeted that it had suspended operations following the quake, although it was not immediately clear how many flights have been affected.

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott, whose state recently suffered greatly from Hurricane Harvey, offered his condolences on Twitter and said Texas "will continue to offer any support to aid Mexico in their time of need."

In a statement, the U.S. State Department said the U.S. stands "ready to provide assistance should our neighbors request our help." It added that the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City is also ready to provide assistance to U.S. citizens who were possibly affected by the quake.

Much of Mexico City is built on former lakebed, and the soil is known to amplify the effects of earthquakes even hundreds of miles away.

A 50-member team of the IDF Search and Rescue Unit, together with a planeload of equipment, is on the way to Mexico on the eve of Rosh Hashana after an earthquake killed 248 people and caused extensive devastation.

Police, firefighters and ordinary Mexicans dug frantically through the rubble of collapsed schools, homes and apartment buildings early Wednesday, looking for survivors of Mexico’s deadliest earthquake in decades as the number of confirmed fatalities climbed to 248.

Adding poignancy and a touch of the surreal, Tuesday’s magnitude-7.1 quake struck on the 32nd anniversary of the 1985 earthquake that killed thousands. Just hours earlier, people around Mexico had held earthquake drills to mark the date.

Israel has received a request for assistance following the severe earthquake in Mexico,

“Prime Minister Netanyahu ordered that assistance and a search and rescue operation be organized and leave for Mexico as soon as possible,” the Prime Minister’s Office stated. A 50-member team of the IDF Search and Rescue Unit, together with a planeload of equipment, departs early Wednesday afternoon.

Israeli humanitarian and emergency rescue teams are also at the scene. ZAKA, Israel’s primary rescue and recovery volunteer organization, for example, is already in the field, with hundreds of emergency ambulance-bikes, providing first aid.

“ZAKA Mexico volunteers are now in the disaster area and are taking part in the search to locate a Jewish resident who, according to reports, was in one of the collapsed buildings. In addition, the volunteers are helping local rescue forces deal with the bodies of the victims,” said ZAKA International Rescue Unit Chief Officer Mati Goldstein.

“It is impossible to describe the scope of the disaster,” said ZAKA Mexico commander Marcus Cain. “Millions of people are without power, there is great confusion and distress. We are currently searching for a missing Jewish resident and helping the local rescue forces evacuate the bodies and locate and rescue survivors in the disaster area. ”

According to ZAKA Mexico volunteer Benjamin Shechnazi,“engineers have been dispatched to local synagogues to ensure that Rosh Hashanah services can safely take place.”

Jewish Community Collects Food for Those in Need

Arutz-7 reported that the synagogue was severely damaged, quoting World B’nei Akiva representative Shmuel Ben-Adiva, who was in Mexico City’s Jewish school when the earthquake struck.

“All of the phone lines collapsed and the Jewish community is beginning to collect food and supplies for those in need,” Ben-Adiva said.

“The Jewish schools are beginning to organize to aid the rest of the country. Tomorrow morning the Jewish schools will turn into temporary ‘war rooms’ to organize aid for all areas affected by the earthquake – and there were many of them,” he added.

Hurricane Maria looms off the coast of Puerto Rico (Photo via Twitter NASA SPoRT)
Nature is still raging as a second major earthquake shakes Mexico and yet another Category 5 hurricane is about to hit Puerto Rico. While Mexican rescue teams sift through the rubble and mourn the hundreds dead, residents of Puerto Rico have been told, “Evacuate or die.”

Less than two weeks after getting hit by a major earthquake, leaving 90 dead, the earth shook yet again in Mexico. At around 1PM local time on Tuesday, a 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit Mexico. The government has confirmed that at least 216 people are dead, but the death toll is expected to rise as rescue workers clear the rubble. The US Geological Survey predicted up to 1,000 fatalities will come from the earthquake, as well as an economic impact of between $1-10 billion.

Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto said more than 20 children and two adults had died and 30 were missing after a school collapsed. 15 people were reportedly killed in Atzitzihuacan when a church on the slopes of a volcano – which appeared to have a small eruption following the earthquake – collapsed during a mass.

The epicenter of the latest quake was near Atencingo in Puebla state, about 75 miles from Mexico City. At least 40 buildings collapsed in Mexico City, the nation’s capital. About two million people in the capital were left without electricity and phone lines were down in many areas. Officials warned residents not to smoke on the streets as gas mains could have been ruptured.

Many world leaders responded to the Mexican disaster and U.S. President Donald Trump tweeted, “God bless the people of Mexico City. We are with you and will be there for you.”

The quake hit just two hours after a nation-wide disaster drill. Each year on September 19, cities across Mexico stage emergency disaster simulations and evacuations. The drill falls on the anniversary of an 8.0-magnitude earthquake that hit Mexico City in 1985, killing nearly 10,000 people.

While Mexico struggles to recover, Puerto Rico braced for Hurricane Maria. Meteorologists say it is the first Category 5 hurricane to make landfall on the island in 80 years and may be the most powerful storm to ever hit the island. Maria could bring up to 2 feet of rain and a storm surge of up to 9 feet to Puerto Rico, sparking flooding and mudslides, CNN Meteorologist Allison Chinchar said.

Governor Ricardo Rosselló declared a state of emergency and urged people to evacuate.

“There’s still time … but people need to move fast,” Ricardo Rosselló told CNN’s Anderson Cooper in an interview on Tuesday, calling the storm the “worst hurricane in modern history in Puerto Rico.”

Héctor Pesquera, Puerto Rico’s commissioner of public safety, was even more grim.

“You have to evacuate — otherwise, you are going to die,” he said, according to Telemundo, NBC’s Spanish-language network. “I do not know how to make this any clearer.”

Maria has already hit Dominica and killed at least one person in Guadeloupe. Puerto Rico was spared last Tuesday when Hurricane Irma swerved north. Irma killed at least 70 people as it raged through the Caribbean and the Southeastern United States earlier this month.

Hurricane Maria Destroyed Puerto Rico And Left The Island Without Power
http://conservativefighters.com/news/hurricane-maria-destroyed-puerto-rico-left-island-without-power/
After Hurricane Maria destroyed Puerto Rico, the island was left without power, Wednesday.

The Hurricane Maria was a powerful Category 4 storm with winds up to 155 mph. It pounded power lines and trees as well and caused many people to hide to shelters.

Puerto Rico Gov. Ricardo Rosselló’s spokesman stated that “This is total devastation.”

“Puerto Rico, in terms of the infrastructure, will not be the same. … This is something of historic proportions,” he continued.

As the storm hit, Rosselló encouraged the residents by posting a message on Twitter.

His message was “God is with us; we are stronger than any hurricane. Together we’re going to get up.”

The Hurricane later on Wednesday weakened to Category 3 storm. However, the officials are still frightened that the danger has not passed.

On a briefing, the head of the island’s disaster management agency, Abner Gómez, stated: “The information we received is not encouraging.”

He mentioned that Hurricane Maria had destroyed “everything in its path.”

The Hurricane caused widespread floods and now in the coastal areas, a storm surge of 6 to 9 feet is expected.

President Trump showed his support and offered help for the destroyed area on Twitter posting “Puerto Rico being hit hard by new monster Hurricane. Be careful, our hearts are with you- will be there to help!”

This hurricane was the most powerful storm to strike the island in the last 80 years.

Rosselló has requested Trump to declare Puerto Rico a disaster zone, which will provide a path for the island to receive more federal aid.

Seven people died in Dominica, as a result of this devastating storm. Once the communication links are reestablished, it’s expected that this number will rise.
