Bombshell: The FBI knew about the Las Vegas shooter’s huge gun stash

We still have very few answers regarding the worst mass shooting in American history that occurred in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Oct. 1, 2017 — and now, new details have emerged that have some questioning the actions (and inactions) of the Justice Department.

Court documents released on Friday revealed that the FBI was aware of gunman Stephen Paddock’s caches of guns, ammunition, and explosives when they sought to get search warrants to check his properties and online accounts.

While Paddock’s motives still remain a mystery, a federal judge in Nevada unsealed documents on Friday that showed what investigators knew in the week following the tragedy.

What The Documents Showed
The FBI affidavits, which totaled 315 pages, showed just a fraction of what investigators found when they searched Paddock’s home and car in the weeks following the October shooting, which left 58 victims dead and hundreds injured.

In addition to the stashes of weapons, explosives, and ammunition, the FBI found that the gunman sent emails back and forth between two different addresses several months prior to the shooting. In them, Paddock discussed buying and selling assault-style rifles and “bump stock” mechanisms that can make a semi-automatic weapon fire as an automating firearm, ABC reported.

Similarities in the email account names led investigators to suspect Paddock was emailing himself, but at the time of the filing, investigators hadn’t determined whether Paddock was corresponding with another person or whether he controlled both email accounts.

The affidavits also showed that investigators sought the Facebook, Instagram, and email accounts of Paddock’s girlfriend, Marilou Danley, who was in the Philippines at the time of the shooting, and also revealed that Danley deleted her Facebook account an hour before police released the shooter’s name to the public.

While this information is valuable, the documents did not answer the pressing question still fresh in the minds of many Americans: Why did Paddock commit this heinous act?

What Is Known
While many questions remain, it is known that Paddock carefully planned his attack in the weeks prior to the shooting. Additionally, he reportedly modified his rifles with bump stocks, placed cameras in the hallway of the Mandalay Bay hotel — from which he fired on an unsuspecting crowd — and shot and injured a security guard before his rampage.

But police said they have no evidence that Paddock had any help in planning or carrying out the attack, according to ABC.

His three bedroom home, in a retirement community in Mesquite, Nevada, was searched twice, first by police, and later by FBI agents. A week after the initial search, the FBI returned to the home for what it referred to as “redocumenting and rechecking.”

The bureau also searched Paddock’s Mandalay Bay suite and his vehicle, which was found parked in the casino parking area. Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo said that investigators found 19 guns and several pounds of ammonium nitrate, a substance that is used in the making of explosives, in these areas.

According to ABC, “a Nevada judge is due to hear arguments Tuesday about whether Las Vegas police search warrant documents should remain sealed.”

BREAKING: Vegas Shooter’s Motive Discovered?

BREAKING: Vegas Shooter’s Motive Discovered?

During an interview with local news station KLAS, Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo shared his theory for what may have motivated gunman Stephen Paddock’s attack. Paddock massacred 58 innocent people and left more than 500 others wounded on October 1st at an outdoor concert in Las Vegas.

The law enforcement veteran told reporter George Knapp that financial losses from Paddock’s expensive gambling habit, and a series of costly real estate deals, may have driven the 64-year-old man to commit the deadliest shooting in modern U.S. history.

Losing his high-roller status
The 29-year veteran sheriff and head of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department provided insight into the reclusive killer’s possible motive from information garnered in the investigation. As LVPD await the results of a neuropathological examination of Paddock’s brain tissue, Lombardo’s theory of a financial cause behind Paddock’s actions is the most plausible yet introduced.

Paddock collected a robust real estate portfolio in recent years, including nine houses and several apartment complexes located in Florida, Texas, California and Reno, Nevada. He even spent around $370,000 in cash for his own 2,000 square-foot Mesquite, Nevada ranch-style home.

Lombardo notes, however, that Paddock’s circumstances began to change for the worse. As he gambled away a yearly $1 million on video poker, the aging millionaire began to worry about his standing with local casinos on the Las Vegas strip.

“Obviously, that [standing] was starting to decline in a short period of time, and that may have [had] a determining effect on why he decided to do what he did,” concluded Lombardo.
Suspicious activity
A report from ABC News found that over the past three years, more than 200 financial reports were filed on Paddock’s spending habits, mostly large transactions at casinos. Although some of these reports were filed due to “suspicious activity,” the majority were registered as standard “currency transaction reports” with the Treasury Department’s Financial Crimes Enforcement Network — this is a federal requirement when a person withdraws or deposits more than $10,000 in cash.

Others close to the investigation do not share Lombardo’s theory, however. One source told ABC that Paddock was a “responsible gambler” who “ paid his bills, and he came back,” adding that there was “no indication of any [financial] stress, any debt, any problems at all.”

The top Democrat on the Senate Homeland Security Committee, Sen. Claire McCaskill (Mo.), also disagrees with Lombardo. “Bottom line,” she told ABC, “this man was a gambler, but I do not believe there is sufficient evidence to show that he was under stress financially from gambling at the time this incident occurred.”

The sad reality is that investigators may never know what truly pushed Paddock over the brink. No explanation, irrespective of the supporting evidence, could ever justify such a heinous and immoral act.

More Vegas Shooting Witnesses Reported Dead, Couple Dies in Car Crash
They couldn’t live without each other. When Dennis Carver realized the loud cracks weren’t fireworks but instead rapid gunfire, he jumped on top of his wife, Lorraine Carver, to shield her from the bullets. “That’s just the kind of love they had for each other,” Brooke Carver, the couple’s oldest daughter, told the Las Vegas Review-Journal. “Their love was selfless.” Minutes earlier, the couple had been line
dancing and singing along to country performer Jason Aldean at the Route 91 Harvest music festival on Oct. 1. It was during the third or fourth lull in gunfire when the two got up, hand in hand, and started running. They ran for their lives and didn’t stop until they got out uninjured, their daughter said.
Two days after the shooting attack, the couple, who lived in Henderson part-time and owned a plumbing company, returned to their Riverside County home in California.

This comes on the heels of the recent report of Kymberley Suchomel, 28, who survived the Las Vegas shooting, only to tragically die a week later in her sleep. Since her death, she has become the focus of rumors centered on posts she may have written on Facebook, allegedly believing that there was more than one shooter at the concert.

BREAKING: Vegas Shooter’s Horrifying Family Secret Revealed
October 29, 2017

BREAKING: Vegas Shooter’s Horrifying Family Secret Revealed
https://www.conservativeinstitute.org/crime-criminal-justice/crime-stories/shooters-family-secret-revealed.htm
Its been almost one month since the bloodiest shooting spree in modern American history, and survivors of gunman Stephen Paddock’s deadly rampage continue to grapple with one burning question: why? What could possibly motivate a wealthy man without any apparent political grievances to muderously attack a crowd of innocent concertgoers?

For many, the adage, “The apple never falls far from the tree,” is a cold comfort, but it may be the best solution that investigators have to explain the unexplainable. Paddock’s father was once on the FBI’s Most Wanted list for violent crimes, and after the news that Stephen’s brother Bruce Paddock has been on the lam from authorities for two years and was arrested on child pornography charges, the horrendous tragedy that occurred in Las Vegas is increasingly looking like a family matter.

Like father, like sons
It did not take authorities long to find a Paddock family connection to violent crime. The shooter’s father, Benjamin Hoskins Paddock, used a snub-nosed revolver to rob the Valley National Bank in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1960.

His son’s shooting spree would later have law enforcement scratching their heads and trying to determine how a man that did not fit the profile of a mass murderer could commit such atrocities. Local police in Benjamin Paddock’s case were equally baffled.

The eldest Paddock “bulged with sincerity,” according to the local sheriff, and he was even a volunteer special deputy with the Pima County Juvenile Probation Department.

Like his murderous son, Benjamin Paddock was a gambler, and authorities eventually spotted him playing in a card tournament in Las Vegas. He was arrested after attempting a getaway, and was sentenced to 20 years at La Tuna Federal Prison in Texas.
After eight years of detention, Benjamin Paddock escaped and began a long stint on the run, earning him a spot on the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted List. The career criminal used assumed names and often changed his appearance to avoid arrest – until law enforcement caught up with him a decade after his escape.

Bad apples
The similarities between father and sons are just too remarkable to ignore, especially after details of the Bruce Paddock’s arrest this week are considered. Displaying violent characteristics and using similar tactics as his father and brother to evade arrest, Bruce Paddock was taken into custody on Wednesday after two years on the run.

The 58-year-old has a history of vandalism and theft offenses, but his latest brush with the law began over two years ago when a Bruce approached a friend and auto shop owner, Hector Cruz, and asked for help fixing his car.

It wasn’t long, however, before Bruce abused his friend’s generosity, and the down-on-his-luck criminal was soon squatting in the attic of the auto repair shop. Cruz reports that after he found Bruce tampering with property at the work site, he confronted the man, eliciting a violent response.

Bruce told his friend, “If you keep [censored] with me I am going to kill you and drop you in the desert.”

More bad news
On another occasion, Bruce brought a gas canister into the facility and threatened to set the place on fire. Having endured enough, Cruz evicted the man and called authorities.

That’s when police found over 600 child pornography images on the computer that Bruce left behind, prompting authorities to issue a warrant for his arrest.

Like his father, Bruce went on the run, altering his appearance and using similar “evil smart” tactics as his father to avoid the long arm of the law. According to TMZ, the brother of the Las Vegas shooter would even booby trap doors at the places he stayed to avoid capture.

Additionally, TMZ claims that Bruce Paddock would tie propane tanks to doors to keep out police. Most chillingly, the fugitive would set up homemade surveillance systems using cameras to monitor entrances to his semi-permanent residences — just like Stephen Paddock, who rigged a similar system outside of his Mandalay Bay hotel room.

Law enforcement caught up to Bruce at an assisted living facility where he was awaiting surgery for spinal stenosis. A 20-page criminal complaint details the 19 counts of sexual exploitation of a child that Bruce is facing.

He is being held on $60,000 bail.

Bizarre interview
Some have also questioned the emotional intelligence and mental health of the Las Vegas gunman’s other younger brother, Eric Paddock. Surrounded by a host of reporters who were uncharacteristically deferential to their interview subject, Eric engaged in a meandering monologue that TMZ described as “a bizarre, rambling interview.”

A self-described body language expert produced a frame by frame analysis of Eric’s interview, deducing that the killer’s sibling may have been lying when he went to great lengths to distance himself from Stephen. The report concludes:

In this video, Eric Paddock displays little empathy for the families, loved-ones, and victims. Rather, his primary focus and emotions in this video were his disbelief and in distancing himself from his brother.
Genetic connections
While investigators still have not deduced a concrete motive for Stephen Paddock’s attack, the genetic connection revealed first by his father’s background and now by his brother’s own brushes with the law is about as good an explanation as any theories so far.

Still, the thousands of people touched by the tragedy in Las Vegas many never receive the answers they need to move on with their lives.

We can only hope authorities make progress in their investigation into Stephen Paddock’s life, but with little reported progress, we aren’t holding our breath.

Bump Stock Ban Fails in Deep-Blue Illinois
by AWR HAWKINS26 Oct 2017471
http://www.breitbart.com/big-government/2017/10/26/bump-stock-ban-fails-deep-blue-illinois/?
A bill to ban bump stocks in Illinois was voted down Thursday after lawmakers viewed the ban as overreaching and an endangerment to law-abiding gun owners.
State Rep. Marty Moylan (D-Des Plaines) put forth the ban in response to the October 1 Las Vegas attack.

According to the Chicago Tribune, Moylan introduced his legislation by saying, “Today, we are taking the first step towards better protecting our loved ones and preventing this horrific violence from happening in Illinois.”

His legislation banned bump stocks and regulated Tannerite. Moylan justified regulating Tannerite by citing that the Las Vegas gunman had some of the material in his car.

But Moylan’s ban was met with opposition from members of both parties who viewed it as too broad. It was voted down by a vote of 54 to 48. State Rep. Jerry Costello (D-Smithton) said, “I don’t view this as a bump stock ban, I view this as a ban on 40 to 50 percent of the guns in the state.”

A competing bump stock ban was put forward by Republicans; it deals with bump stocks but does not contain the additional language impacting Tannerite and other firearm accessories.

State Rep. Mark Batinick (R-Plainfield) spoke to the overreaching nature of Moylan’s bill, urging clear language with a focused approach. But Moylan made clear he opposes the Republican approach, as he believes it does not go far enough.

The push to ban bump stocks on the federal level floundered after American voters made clear they were more concerned with gun rights than gun control.

BREAKING: Vegas Security Guard Breaks Silence

BREAKING: Vegas Security Guard Breaks Silence
Jesus Campos, the hotel security guard shot in the thigh by Stephen Paddock before Paddock opened fire on thousands of Las Vegas concert-goers, finally broke his silence on the events that took place in the 32nd floor Mandalay Bay hallway.

After skipping out of a Las Vegas press conference at the last minute, and being a no-show for a scheduled appearance on Fox News Channel’s Hannity, Campos finally reappeared to tell his story on Ellen, a daytime fluff-infused program hosted by comedienne Ellen DeGeneres.

The segment was taped Tuesday and aired on Wednesday.

Access blocked
Campos told DeGeneres that when he was called to investigate an open door alarm on the hotel’s 32nd floor, the stairwell access next to the gunman’s room was blocked by a bolted emergency exit door.

So he approached the floor from a different stairwell.

“There was a metal bracket holding the door in place,” Campos explained. He described it as “just out of the ordinary. It’s not normal.”

Catching the shooter’s attention
Campos said that after inspecting the blocked doorway, he alerted maintenance to the situation. The door he used to access the area closed behind him with a loud crash.

He continued:

I believed that’s what caught the shooter’s attention. As I was walking down, I heard rapid fire. At first I took cover. I felt a burning sensation. I went to go lift my pant leg up and I saw the blood. That’s when I called it in on my radio that shots had been fired.
That’s when building engineer Stephen Schuck arrived on the scene.

“Shortly after that is when Stephen was approaching, and I told him to stay back and get cover, and that’s when more rounds were dispersed,” Campos told DeGeneres.

As a female guest began opening her door to investigate the noise, the security guard said, ‘I told her to go back inside, it wasn’t safe.”

OCTOBER 13, 2017
LAS VEGAS SHOOTING SURVIVOR KYMBERLEY SUCHOMEL, WHO CLAIMED MULTIPLE SHOOTERS INVOLVED, DIES UNEXPECTEDLY
PATRICIA RAMIREZ
Just over a week after living through the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history in Las Vegas on October 1, shooting survivor and witness Kymberley Suchomel passed away at the age of 28. Suchomel was uninjured in the shooting at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, and after the terrifying event she used her Facebook presence to contradict the official story of a lone gunman. According to Kymberley Suchomel’s posts, there were multiple shooters involved in the horrific mass shooting that left 58 people dead and 546 injured. In fact, Suchomel, who was the co-founder of the High Desert Phoenix Foundation (a charity that financially assists victims of tragedies), claimed that she and those in her party were “chased” by more than one active shooter.
“Bullets were coming from every direction. Behind us, in front of us, to the side of us. But I know, I just know, that there was someone chasing us. The entire time I felt this way. The farther we got from the venue, the closer the gunfire got. I kept looking back expecting to see the gunmen- and I say MEN because there was more than one person. There was more than one gun firing. 100% more than one.
As we were running, we kept changing direction, because it felt like no matter what direction we took, we were being followed.”
As Seacoast Online reports, Las Vegas shooting survivor Kymberley Suchomel was found dead early Monday in her home by her grandmother and High Desert Phoenix Foundation co-founder, Julie Norton. According to Norton, she found her granddaughter deceased in her bed at around 8:30 a.m. on October 9. Norton had reportedly come to the home to babysit Suchomel’s 3-year-old daughter.

(Since the original publication of this article, Kymberley Suchomel’s Facebook has been made private. The post including her lengthy account of what she says happened in the Las Vegas shooting has been archived, however, and is available here.)
According to Norton, she believes that her granddaughter must have died in her sleep sometime between when her husband left for work at 4:30 a.m. and when she arrived to tend to her granddaughter. Julie Norton added that Kymberley Suchomel was epileptic, and that she believes the stress of the Las Vegas shooting may have directly contributed to the 28-year-old’s death.
“Kymberley had epilepsy and she’s always been prone to seizures — she told her friend that she recently had three focal seizures. I believe the stress from the shooting took her life.”
Suchomel was also reportedly taking medication to treat a pituitary tumor at the time of her death.
Since the Las Vegas shooting, Kymberley Suchomel has spoken out publicly on social media about the horror of witnessing the the attack that targeted more than 20,000 concert attendees on October 1. In her own words, she found herself in a “state of shock” following the attack. In an interview with the VV Daily Press, Suchomel cited lingering insomnia and memories of the sound of gunfire.
“I’m most definitely in a state of shock and it will take some time for me to get over this. I haven’t been able to sleep and I still keep hearing the sound of loud pops in my head.”
Suchomel also publicly recalled her frantic escape from the concert area, claiming that terrified attendees were forced to tear down a fence at the venue when they couldn’t find another means of escape. Kymberley said that she and her group were “literally inches” away from people being shot as they fled, and that she called both her husband and grandmother to tell them “goodbye” during the traumatic ordeal.
Roughly 72 hours after the Las Vegas shooting, Kymberley Suchomel recounted her recollection of the events of October 1 in a public Facebook post. Near the end of the lengthy description of how she and her group of friends escaped the barrage of bullets, Suchomel claimed that media and official accounts of the Las Vegas shooting didn’t match what she and other eyewitnesses saw. She even wrote that some of the evidence touted by authorities “seems fake.”
What’s more, Suchomel claimed that “every single other survivor” of the Vegas shooting that she’d spoken to believed that there was more than one shooter that night, and that at least one of the shooters involved was on the ground.
“I have bene watching the news non-stop since I arrived back home to my family. And it just doesn’t make sense. The story that are feeding everyone doesn’t add up to our eyewitness accounts. There is something wrong with what they are saying & the evidence seems fake if you ask me. There are multiple people stating that there was a lady towards the beginning of the evening who had made her way up to the stage warning people that we were all gunna die- her and her boyfriend were escorted off the premises. Why has she not been mentioned by authorities? Every single survivor I have talked to also remembers multiple shooters, and at least one from the ground- why aren’t we being taken more seriously? Tons of things don’t add up. [sic]”
Since news of her death broke earlier this week, many have taken to social media to express their shock and disbelief.

Weeks after tragedy struck a well-attended country music festival in Las Vegas, the life and times of gunman Stephen Paddock remain a mystery. Now, the strange disappearance of a key witness is raising even more questions.

Just minutes prior to a nationally televised press conference, Mandalay Bay security guard Jesus Campos cancelled his appearance, and now, he cannot be found.

Many believe that Campos holds the key to understanding the Las Vegas shooting, as he may know whether Paddock acted alone or not.

The Mystery of Jesus Campos
Initial reports of the massacre suggested that Campos dodged shots by Paddock at the conclusion of his massacre. These reports implied that Campos’ heroic investigation of Paddock’s suite led the mass murderer to end his shooting spree by turning one of his guns on himself.

It’s now believed that Campos came on the scene and was shot at before Paddock began his assault on the thousands of country music fans gathered on the Las Vegas Strip. He was the first to report the shooting and the first two hundred rounds that Paddock fired inside of the hotel.

The timing remains in question: law enforcement said they believed Campos was shot as many as six minutes before Paddock opened fire on the concert crowd. But MGM Resorts, owner of the Mandalay Bay hotel, disagreed, saying initial reports were created “without the benefit of information we now have.”

A statement issued by MGM on Thursday attempted to put the timeline of events in more clear terms:

We know that shots were being fired at the festival lot at the same time as, or within 40 seconds after, the time Jesus Campos first reported that shots were fired over the radio. Metro officers were together with armed Mandalay Bay security officers in the building when Campos first reported that shots were fired over the radio. These Metro officers and armed Mandalay Bay security officers immediately responded to the 32nd floor.
Little else is known about Campos himself, and few photos of him have become public.

Mystery Deepens
Campos’ last minute disappearance has only fueled the mystery surrounding the Las Vegas shooting, and it leaves many questions about the motives of the shooter.

Some believe Paddock was a lone psychopath suffering from an untreated mental illness. This theory has been bolstered by some psychology experts, who see psychopathic traits in Paddock, who was a high stakes gambler. According to criminal profiler John Kelly:

Paddock was a pathological gambler, psychopath and a sociopath. He was predisposed from birth and childhood to harbor extreme internalized shame, low self-esteem, depression, and aggressive anger.
Others theorize that Paddock was radicalized by ISIS (a theory supported by the terrorist group itself).

Counter-terrorism official Michael S. Smith claimed that federal investigators were quick to rule out international terrorism because such an event would undermine respect for American intelligence forces. He said:

If Islamic State did indeed cultivate Paddock, as it has claimed was the case, the group surely has some evidence of its engagements with him. If it does, it may be the case the group is waiting on FBI and other agencies to dismiss its claim of responsibility for the Las Vegas attack before posting contradictory evidence online for the world to see.
With experts backing various theories, many questions remained unanswered. And while Campos may have been able to shed some light on the investigation, for now, his disappearance is only baffling authorities even more.

BREAKING: Horrible News After Vegas Shooting

In the fallout of the Las Vegas massacre that left 58 victims dead and hundreds more wounded, there has been much talk in Washington of implementing stricter gun control, talk that has widely been resisted by conservatives. But a recent survey shows that gun advocates may find themselves in the minority.

According to a new survey from Politico and Morning Consult, the majority of Americans are in support of passing heightened gun control measures to prevent future mass shootings.

Less than a third were opposed to tougher gun legislation.

Poll: Americans want gun control
Politico and Morning Consult released the results of a new survey on Wednesday that discovered there has been an increase in support for gun regulations in the last four months.

The study found that 64 percent of voters were in favor of increased gun control, while 29 percent were opposed to tougher gun legislation. This is a 3 percent increase since June of this year.

As expected, most Democrats (83 percent) support new gun laws, and 58 percent of independents agreed that stricter gun control is needed. Surprisingly, Republican voters were split on gun control laws: 49 percent were in support to 45 percent who were opposed.

In addition, more than half (55 percent) of gun owners favored new restrictions, and 41 percent were against.

Here’s how they want it
Some prospective measures that have garnered widespread support include requiring a safe storage unit for firearms; establishing a national database for every gun sale; banning firearms at school, college, and work; and mandating a three-day waiting period for gun purchases.

But most survey respondents conceded that they don’t think Congress will pass any gun laws over the next 12 months. Just 26 percent of voters said there was an “excellent or good chance” of Congress passing tougher gun control measures within the next year.

Kyle Dropp, Morning Consult’s co-founder and chief research officer, said in a statement:
The results of this survey demonstrate there is support for at least some new gun control measures, even if support for whole-scale reform is murkier.
The Politico/Morning Consult study was conducted between Oct. 5 and 9 with 1,996 registered voters. It contained a margin of error of +/- two percentage points.

For gun rights advocates, it’s not good news.
Tragedies like the Las Vegas shooting are generally followed by increased gun control activism, but in recent years Congress did little to change the current laws. This results of this survey, however, could indicate a bigger attitude shift among Americans in general toward stricter gun control measures.

ALERT: Judge Napolitano Drops Vegas Hotel Bombshell
October 11, 2017 Adam Selene
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/judge-nap-vegas-bombshell/?utm_campaign=CNA_
Las Vegas Metropolitan police are working around the clock to iron-out an official timeline of events related to the Las Vegas shooting.

Fox News senior judicial analyst Judge Andrew Napolitano suggests that the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino had knowledge of an active shooter in their hotel six minutes before Steven Paddock launched the deadliest mass shooting in recent American history, reports Fox News.

On Sunday, October 1, Nevada resident Steven Paddock opened fire from the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino onto the 22,000 country music fans attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival. The tragic shooting left 58 dead and over 200 wounded.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD), has remained accessible to the public as details of the shooting emerge, and they are continually updating an official timeline of events.

Now, MGM Resorts International, the company that owns the Mandalay Bay, is questioning the latest timeline released by LVMPD Sheriff Joe Lombardo

According to the original timeline, Steven Paddock opened fire on the Route 91 festival at 10:05 PM and had ceased shooting by 10:15 PM. Police identified that shots were coming from the Mandalay Resort by 10:08 PM and officers arrived on the 31st floor at 10:12 PM when they “announced the gunfire is coming from directly above them.” Las Vegas police were stationed on the 32nd floor by 10:17 PM and found Jesus Campos at 10:18 PM.

Campos, a security guard at Mandalay Bay, was responding to an unrelated alarm on the 32nd floor when Paddock opened fire on the unsuspecting security guard. Paddock fired around 200 rounds into the hallway. Only one bullet struck Campos in the leg.

Police found Campos in an elevator at 10:18 PM when Campos told police which room Paddock was hiding in. Police originally assumed Campos was shot sometime between 10:05 PM and 10:15 PM.

However, at a press conference on Monday, Sheriff Lombardo updated the official timeline. Now, police believe that Campos was shot at 9:59 PM – six minutes before Paddock commenced his killing spree.

“This remains an ongoing investigation with a lot of moving parts. As evidenced by law enforcement briefings over the past week, many facts are still unverified and continue to change as events are under review,” explained Debra DeShong, a spokesperson for MGM Resorts. “We cannot be certain about the most recent timeline that has been communicated publically, and we believe what is currently being expressed may not be accurate,” she said, casting doubt on the latest police timeline.

The LVMPD maintain that the latest timeline reflects the information they have available, but is subject to change since the investigation is still ongoing.

Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino had knowledge of an active shooter in their hotel six minutes before Steven Paddock launched the deadliest mass shooting in recent American history. Could they have stopped it?

Did LV hotel have knowledge of shooter that would have allowed them to stop the massacre?

Yes
No
Next
According to Judge Napolitano, the changes to the timeline could be damning for MGM Resorts. Judge Napolitano suggests that MGM knew they had an active shooter in the building, yet failed to inform the police. The news is “that the agent of the hotel who should have been carrying with him a recording device — a device which would have allowed the head of security or somebody in security to listen in – was shot at 200 times by an automatic weapon.”

“So Mandalay Bay knew of the existence and presence and workability of the automatic weapon six minutes before he started killing people. That should have triggered an enormous response,” Judge Napolitano said.

The truth will come out as the facts present. Six minutes is an adequate amount of time for law enforcement and security to respond to such an event. Nevertheless, and no matter what the facts expose, this event remains a significant tragedy.

BREAKING: Disturbing Discovery at Vegas Shooter’s Home

BREAKING: Disturbing Discovery at Vegas Shooter’s Home
While authorities are still at a loss as to what motivated gunman Stephen Paddock to open fire upon a Las Vegas country music festival, killing 58 and injuring hundreds of others, they made a disturbing discovery at one of his Nevada homes.

Police discovered that Stephen Paddock’s Reno, Nevada residence had been broken into over the weekend.

It begs the question: was the perpetrator searching for clues, or trying to cover them up?

Weekend break-in
Police confirmed Tuesday that entry was apparently gained through the home’s front door over the weekend, despite the home having been in the spotlight since the shooting on October 1st. Officer Tim Broadway of the Reno Police Department confirmed the break-in, the Reno Gazette-Journal reported.

The home is located in a quiet Del Webb retirement community in Reno. Paddock purchased the house in 2013.

Law enforcement did not say how many took part in the break-in or how they gained entry. Broadway said they are unaware of anything that has been disturbed or removed from the premises.

When Reno officers discovered the break-in, they “immediately notified the FBI,” Broadway said. He added that the department was working with the FBI to “make sure there are no further incidents.”

Weapons found at both Nevada homes
Stockpiles of firearms, ammunition, explosives and other electronic devices were found at both of Paddock’s Nevada homes last week.

Both federal and local authorities searched Paddock’s Reno home on Oct. 3. As a result of that raid, they catalogued five handguns, two shotguns, a number of electronic devices and a “plethora of ammunition,” according to Las Vegas Sheriff Joseph Lombardo.

Weapons were also found at Paddock’s house in Mesquite, USA Today reported:

Weapons, explosives and electronic devices also were found in the home that Paddock bought in January 2015 in another Del Webb retirement community in Mesquite, Nev., about 80 miles northeast of Las Vegas.
Paddock shared his Reno home with his girlfriend, Marilou Danley. He bought Danley plane tickets to visit family in the Philippines shortly before the shooting, and wired her $100,000 with instructions to purchase a house.

According to USA Today, he had previously owned a Florida home in yet another retirement community:

Paddock also purchased a home in April 2013 in a retirement community in Melbourne, Fla., called Heritage Isle. He sold it in May 2015 to escape the state’s humidity and be closer to casinos that allowed him to indulge in his high-stakes poker playing, his brother, Eric Paddock, has told reporters.
Sheriff Lombardo confirmed that the shooter’s houses were still being investigated during a press briefing Monday:

Is the FBI along with LVMPD revisiting the personal property of the suspect? Yes, that is accurate along with the behavioral analysis detectives. They are also present and maybe we can discern additional evidence as a result of that revisit.

A riddle wrapped up in an enigma
Everything about the case has stumped authorities from the beginning. So far, what we know about Paddock’s background doesn’t fit with the typical identity of a mass shooter.

His age — 64 — would appear to dismiss him as a domestic terrorist subject. He apparently had no deeply-held religious or political beliefs. He led a quiet life up until the incident and police have yet to identify any trigger that would have caused him to begin accumulating the large number of weapons he had at his disposal.

The break-in just adds to the riddle: who broke into the house over the weekend, and why?

Mandalay Bay Valet Goes Missing After Claiming Shooter ‘Had No Bags’
http://yournewswire.com/mandalay-bay-valet-missing/
October 11, 2017 Baxter Dmitry News, US 2
A Mandalay Bay valet has disappeared after giving an interview in which he insisted the suspected shooter "didn't have many bags."

A Mandalay Bay valet, who parked Stephen Paddock’s car when he checked in, has mysteriously disappeared after giving an interview to mainstream media in which he insisted the suspected shooter was “a normal guy” and “didn’t have many bags.“

Chad Nishimura, a long term employee of Mandalay Bay, gave the interview to Moanike’ala Nabarro, a reporter for Hawaiian ABC affiliate, KITV4 News.

The article has now been deleted from the KITV4 News website after it appeared to go against the “official narrative” that “lone wolf” gunman Paddock managed to smuggle enough guns for a small army into his hotel suite completely unnoticed by staff or security personnel monitoring the hotel’s CCTV.

KITV4 have so far refused to explain why their article was suddenly scrubbed from their website, or if they were acting under outside orders.

Nishimura, a Hawaii native, has also completely vanished since the report was published, and all of his social media accounts have been deleted from the internet.

If it wasn’t for the archived interview with KITV4 News Hawaii, accessible after a little digging on archive.org, it would be as if Nishimura never existed.

Friends and colleagues say the valet has been “totally unreachable for days” since shortly after the 1 October attack that left 59 dead and hundreds more injured.

The KITV4 interview offered a very different perspective on the shooting compared to the content being produced by most mainstream media outlets. By interviewing somebody who actually met Stephen Paddock, the interview provided real insight into the event.

Nishimura told the ABC affiliate that Paddock “seemed normal” and, most tellingly, that he “didn’t have any bags with him upon arrival.“

While the removal of the article from the KITV4 website could be explained by ABC higher-ups taking issue with an article that contradicts the “lone wolf” narrative they are pushing, the disappearance of Nishimura and the scrubbing of his social media accounts makes the whole episode particularly disturbing.

Did Nishimura’s account put the whole “official narrative” in jeopardy, or did he know something else that they were concerned he would go public with?

Searching for Chad Nishimura’s social media accounts also leads to multiple dead ends. His Facebook page now returns an error saying the page has been removed, and his LinkedIn page has also been taken down.

ALERT: Investigators Uncover The FBI’s Horrifying Secret
October 8, 2017 Frank Spear
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/investigators-uncover-the-fbis/?utm_source=Boomtrain&utm_medium=NS1In the wake of the horrific mass shooting in Las Vegas, it is time to revisit past shootings to see how we keep getting back to this point. One government watchdog group uncovered information about the FBI that is leaving many Americans in complete shock.

Omar Mateen is the person responsible for the Orlando Pulse Nightclub shooting. He was responsible for the murder of 49 people, and he wounded many others. Judicial Watch requested information pertaining to Mateen, and they uncovered some groundbreaking information. Back in late 2013, the FBI cleared Mateen and said that he was no threat.

Judicial Watch was able to obtain these records as a direct result of their request for public information on June 14th of 2016. They believe that the American people are entitled to hear the truth, and they are correct.

The crew at JW specifically asked for “Any and all records regarding, concerning, or related to a deceased individual named Omar Mateen, a/k/a Omar Mir Seddique… This request includes, but is not limited to, any and all records of communications between any official, employee, or representative of the St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office and any other individual or entity regarding, concerning, or related to Mr. Mateen.”

Documentation revealed that the FBI closed up their investigation after just a couple months with Mateen, who at the time worked as a security guard at a courthouse. Allegedly, other employees were making remarks towards him about his Middle Eastern appearance.

In response to the remarks, Mateen started making bold, false claims. He told them that he was first cousins with the Boston bombers. He also said that he was related to the Fort Hood Shooter, as well as the Kenya mall shooters.

Mateen spread these lies in an attempt to get his co workers to leave him alone. It didn’t occur to him that making such claims would elicit the opposite response.

Instead of investigating him further, the FBI said he was “not a terrorist,” and made nothing of his behavior. If they would have looked into this person further, they could have saved lives by preventing the Pulse nightclub shooting.

In 2013 the FBI cleared Pulse Nightclub shooter and said that he was no threat. Can we adequately predict human behavior?

Can human behavior be accurately predicted?

Yes
No
Next
As Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton put it, “The documents show the FBI blew it.” They had their chance, plain as day, and they let him walk out of there. He later went on to commit one of the biggest mass shootings in the country’s history.

Fitton continued, “The agency let Mateen off the hook even though he threatened his co-worker and tried to lie to the FBI agents questioning him about terrorist ties. No wonder the FBI reportedly tried to stop Florida law enforcement from responding to freedom of information requests about the Orlando massacre.”

This just goes to show that maybe the FBI is not as efficient as many think. It’s imperative that we, as patriotic Americans, ensure that even our agencies that operate best in secret are subject to some amount of review and supervision. The stakes are high — and the mistakes cost lives.

ALERT: Police Found Something Horrific In Vegas Shooter’s Note
October 8, 2017 William Widener
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/police-found-something-horrific/?utm_source=Boomtrain&utm_medium=afternoon&utm_campaign=CNA_20171009-2
As the investigation surrounding the Las Vegas massacre continues, and new details emerge, there have been many breaking revelations about the note left by the killer. The details are disturbing, to say the least.

According to CBS News, what was presumed to be a suicide note turned out to include calculations handwritten by the killer, Stephen Paddock. The bullet trajectory calculations guided Paddock’s aim to maximize his shooting performance and body count.

A photo has been circulating in the media showing a note on a table near Paddock’s body in the hotel suite, leading many to speculate that it was a suicide note. However, the officers who stormed Paddock’s room said that that was not the case.

A team of law enforcement officers had to use explosives to breach Paddock’s 32nd floor suite at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino. The smoke from the explosives set off a fire alarm and flashing lights, creating an eerie scene as they discovered Paddock’s body.

K9 Officer Dave Newton of the Las Vegas Police Department first noticed the note upon his team’s initial entrance into the killer’s hotel suite. He told CBS’s 60 Minutes that, “I could see on it he had written the distance, the elevation he was on, the drop of what his bullet was gonna be for for the crowd… So he had had that written down and figured out so he would know where to shoot to hit his targets from there.”

It is unclear if the calculations were the only contents of the note. The note was found on a table near one of two windows Paddock smashed with a hammer found in the room, along with at least two dozen weapons, and thousands of rounds of ammunition. He aimed through that window to commit the heinous massacre that ended 58 lives and injured more than 500 more.

As investigators work to piece together the crime and desperately search for a motive, it’s becoming clearer how calculated Paddock really was. The bullet trajectory calculations are seemingly consistent with Paddock’s other complex and methodical behaviors.

Family members and neighbors spoke of Paddock’s compulsive gambling habits, and how he applied algorithms that helped him secure tens of thousands of dollars in winnings.

Eric Paddock, the killer’s younger brother, said, “He was a math guy… He could tell you off the top of his head what the odds were down to a tenth of a percent on whatever machine he was playing. He studied it like it was a Ph.D. thing. It was not silly gambling. It was work.”

Note found in LV shooter’s room consisted of bullet trajectory calculations. Does it appear he was experienced with firearms?

Does it appear that LV shooter was experienced with weapons?

Yes
No
Next
Bullet trajectory calculations can be a bit confusing to the average American, but they are well-known to sports shooters and hunters. As soon as a bullet leaves the barrel, gravity begins to pull the bullet down. To compensate for this, the shooter must aim above the target. The trajectory calculation entails first measuring the distance to a target, and then applying elevation changes in order to find the number of inches one must aim above the target.

The fact that Paddock could understand and create these calculations indicates that he may have had more experience shooting firearms than initially suspected.
Authorities still believe Paddock acted alone. A week after the horrific event, investigators still haven’t found a clear motive for the shooting. Hopefully, more clues will emerge soon.

REPORT: Motive Behind Vegas Massacre Revealed?
October 9, 2017

REPORT: Motive Behind Vegas Massacre Revealed?
In the time since last week’s deadly rampage at the Route 91 Harvest Music Festival on the Las Vegas Strip, authorities have scrambled to make sense of a situation that still has more questions than answers. Many of these baffling questions concern the gunman himself, Stephen Paddock, whose motive for the attack has remained a mystery – but one ordinary citizen may have just figured it out.

After conservative radio host Mark Steyn appeared on Fox & Friends on Friday to discuss the massacre and its political effects, he received an email from a fan who believes the shooter’s motive may have been to help push a gun control agenda.

The email’s author, an analyst who Steyn says belongs to a London think tank, said “the medium is the message.”

The Theory Origin
Steyn shared the text of the email on his website. In it, the analyst writes that Paddock’s intense preparation was “unusual” for a killer who has no verifiable motive. The analyst continues:

The level of premeditation is…crystal clear from his mass buying of guns and the cautious systematic smuggling operation to ferry them to his room together with the illegal modifications and the position of the room he chose and occupied for several days beforehand.

This denotes a deeply serious commitment to his act. And one which leaves no doubt that act was conceived to generate the maximum possible publicity.

The question then is: “publicity” for what exactly?
The analyst then argues that Paddock’s lack of motive is, in essence, a motive of its own: the analyst believes that Paddock meant to show how dangerous he believed guns were by showing the damage someone could do without cause.

Paddock reportedly planned similar attacks at other concerts — such as that of rapper Chance — but ultimately chose the festival in Vegas, which may show that he even chose to target a specific, ironic demographic: country music-loving gun owners.

The analyst writes:

This man wished to telegraph to America in graphic form the hard irrefutable evidence that guns and gun ownership and the ease of gun purchase in America are an evil and must be controlled. On that hypothesis everything now makes sense. And it must be said his concept has a certain demented genius.
In his reaction to the email, Steyn correctly points out that it is the type of internal logic used by a psychopath, even while it’s “a ludicrous explanation” to the average sane person.

Questions Still Remain, However
While the analyst’s theory makes sense, there are still unanswered questions that could provide further insight. Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo pointed out last week that he believes the shooter had help with his deadly mission, and that evidence shows he planned to survive and even escape the hotel room.

Lombardo’s remarks were not well-received by the federal agent in charge of the FBI’s investigation. Special Agent Aaron Rouse, who oversees the Las Vegas FBI office, offered a vaguely worded insult about Lombardo’s comments, saying, “Theories are great…but the sheriff needs to deal with facts.”

Marilou Danley, Paddock’s Filipino girlfriend, also created more questions than she solved when she claimed it “never occurred to [her] in any way whatsoever that he was planning violence against anyone.”

The investigation is continuing at both a local and federal level, but it might do investigators some good to consider this “no motive” motive as a viable theory.

Vegas Survivor Attacked By Libs For Sick Reason

For the Left, everything is politics, and politics is everything. An example of this ideology can be found in the fact that some Leftists on social media are criticizing a victim for expressing gratitude to President Trump.

The victim in question is Thomas Gunderson, who was shot in the leg last weekend in Las Vegas. Earlier this week, while President Trump and First Lady Melania visited Las Vegas, Gunderson made Yahoo headlines by deciding to stand and meet the president.

Gunderson was hailed by many for his show of courage and bravery in overcoming the pain in his wounded leg.

President Trump and the First Lady both seemed very touched by this gesture.

However, since no good deed goes unpunished, Leftists on Twitter have been quick condemn Gunderson for his actions.

When the 28-year-old Gunderson first received some negative feedback, he legitimized his actions by saying:

“There may be plenty of issues in this country but I will always respect my country, my president, and my flag. Shot in the leg or not, I will stand to show my president the respect he deserves!”

This caused even more ire from the Left.

One Facebook user named Page Elizabeth K wrote, “Should have saved his energy. Hopefully, he’s able to heal fast and return home before that ‘great president’ makes it impossible for nearly everyone to have healthcare,” while another user wrote, “Oh don’t turn your back to him phew!!!”

Some commentators also complained that Gunderson’s actions have been co-opted by critics of the NFL national anthem protests.

Facebook user Ke’Shaun Brown wrote, “People are kneeling for a cause for awareness, not to spite a flag and an old song. Why can’t people respect a peaceful protest? #godbless.”

Others also jumped on Gunderson for not using the opportunity to push for gun control. You see, for far-Left activists, every moment and every action should be used to push the left-wing narrative further.

The true nature of the modern Left was revealed when a former CBS legal executive, Hayley Geftman-Gold, wrote a social media post about how she did not feel sorry for the dead and wounded in Las Vegas.

“I’m actually not even sympathetic bc country music fans are often Republican gun toters.”

Geftman-Gold has apologized for her actions, but she is now trying to make herself the victim after she received death threats and other nasty messages in the wake of her comments.

Whiny Libs still digging at Vegas victim who stood to meet the president. Is his statement more powerful?

Is Vegas gunshot victim standing for the President more powerful than an NFL player kneeling?

Yes
No

So far, the Las Vegas shooting remains enmeshed in mystery. It appears as if Paddock originally planned on escaping his ordeal, and may very well have had help in the planning and execution of his massacre.

ISIS remains adamant that Paddock was one of their “soldiers,” while recent evidence has come to light showing that the federal government had flagged over two hundred of Paddock’s financial transactions as “covert terrorism financing.” So far, no official word has arrived as of yet identifying Paddock’s motives — or his possible political affiliations.

For people like Gunderson, such information is not as important as staying strong, in body, mind, and spirit.

WATCH: Las Vegas Police Make “Mystery” Person Announcement
Last weekend’s mass shooting in Las Vegas remains a perplexing case. So far, no motive has been named by law enforcement officials, but county and municipal police officers have now made a shocking announcement about a possible accomplice.

This weekend, investigators announced that they are looking for a “mystery woman” seen with shooter Stephen Paddock days before last Sunday’s attack. Police officials believe that this woman knew of Paddock’s plan.

By all accounts, the woman is not known to have had any relationship with Marilou Danley, Paddock’s live-in girlfriend, who was in the Philippines during the time of the massacre.

For her part, Danley told investigators that she had no idea that Paddock was planning any kind of mass shooting.

A Second Person
Fox News reporter Claudia Cowan filed a report saying that the Las Vegas police would like to talk to the unnamed woman in order to get a better picture of Paddock in the days leading up to the shooting. Cowan noted “Officials are trying to identify a mystery woman, not his girlfriend, as they try to build a timeline of his movements.”

Watch here:

So far, it has been found that Paddock did some rather strange things during the days before he committed the worst mass shooting in American history.

A few weeks before the shooting, Paddock sent Danley to the Philippines in what could have been an effort to shield her from his plans. Paddock also wired Danley $100,000 to an account in the Philippines.

Now that Danley has been ruled out as an accomplice, police officials are hinting that this mysterious woman may have helped Paddock to pull off his crime. Furthermore, she may have had something to do with Paddock’s planned escape.

While Paddock ultimately committed suicide, Las Vegas police officials have said that Paddock planned on escaping.

Terror Related?
Paddock’s hotel suite was a veritable “sniper’s nest,” with twenty-three weapons, fifty pounds of explosives, and 1,600 rounds of ammunition. Also, it appears that Paddock tried to blow up a fuel tank located at the McCarran International Airport by firing rounds at it.

Even more chilling, investigators have uncovered the fact that Paddock booked hotel suites in Chicago and other cities that were hosting large music festivals.

ISIS continues to claim that Paddock was a “soldier” of their organization. While many American police officials were quick to rule this out, many counterterrorism experts have warned that it may be too early to discount a terror connection.
Not only is ISIS very active in the Philippines, but Paddock had also taken a cruise in the Middle East within the last year.

FBI Agents Were Just Ordered to STOP Investigation in Las Vegas After This MAJOR Find

Folks, someone is keeping something from all of us regarding the shooting massacre in Las Vegas.

Rep. Trey Gowdy has already voiced his suspicions that there’s a lot more to the story of the Vegas shooting that officials and the mainstream media are letting on.

Then, Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo confirmed that, according to the evidence he’s seen, shooter Stephen Paddock could not have been working alone.

Now, FBI agents are saying they’ve been inexplicably ordered to STOP investigating any potential additional shooters, and focus solely on Paddock.

Even though the evidence suggests this was a coordinated attack.

Something’s fishy here.

Truth Pundit reports:

FBI officials told True Pundit late Thursday the focus of the case now is zoned in solely on Stephen Paddock as the lone gunman, per a directive from FBI headquarters in Washington D.C.

The directive came as a shock, as FBI insiders said they were pursuing leads that while Paddock was sniping innocent victims from his 32nd-floor perch at Mandalay Bay, another gunman wielding an AR-15 5.56 caliber weapon was closer to the ground shooting from another angle.

FBI officials said they were following the hunch based on forensic examination of audio recovered from phone video of concert goers.

From those videos, federal law enforcement sources said the were following leads that indicated in addition to Paddock’s gunfire from the Mandalay Bay — where he was likely using an AR-10 rifle based on audio examined — additional gunfire from an AR-15 rang out at the same time from an opposite position on the ground much closer than Paddock’s location from high above the event.

The multiple shooter effect, FBI sources said, would be to create a ‘kill box” where concert goers trying to escape Paddock’s bullets would meet gunfire at the limited exit of the venue.

A lot of comments here from people who've never had shots fired overhead. I'm not talking like I'm a combat veteran here, but anyone who's ever pulled targets in the Marine Corps or Army knows that those little snaps you start hearing at 3:11 are gun shots coming in. If you're on the receiving end you don't hear a loud boom. It's like a snapper going off. The person who took this video and those standing around him are very lucky as those rounds were coming in close while they were just standing around.

Experts Call for Mass Killers' Names to Be Kept Quiet

An open letter signed by 147 criminologists, sociologists, psychologists and other human-behavior experts asks that the media stop publishing the names and photographs of mass killers.

Research has found that fame is a major motivation for many mass shooters.
"They want to be celebrities," said Adam Lankford, one of the lead drafters of the letter and a criminologist at the University of Alabama. "We know that some of these offenders have said things like, 'The more you kill, the more you'll be known,' and 'Someone who is known by no one will be known by everyone.'" Research has found that fame is a major motivation for many mass shooters.

"They want to be celebrities," said Adam Lankford, one of the lead drafters of the letter and a criminologist at the University of Alabama. "We know that some of these offenders have said things like, 'The more you kill, the more you'll be known,' and 'Someone who is known by no one will be known by everyone.'" [The Science of Mass Shooters: What Drives a Person to Kill?]
No notoriety

After a mass killing like the one in Las Vegas on Sunday night (Oct. 1), when a shooter sprayed bullets into a music-festival crowd from a hotel window above, the identity of the perpetrator is often the first question. But "the particular sequence of letters that make up offenders' names, and the particular configuration of bones, cartilage and flesh that make up offenders' faces are among the least newsworthy details about them," Lankford and the other signatories argue in the letter. The plea is based on a proposal published in September in the journal American Behavioral Scientist by Lankford and Eric Madfis, a sociologist at the University of Washington, Tacoma.

The researchers propose that media outlets avoid naming the perpetrator or using the perpetrator's photograph. Reporters should also avoid naming past killers in articles about more recent killers, they wrote. All other details — including possible motives, where such killers got their weaponry, the criminal's past and interviews with friends and family — are fair game, they said.

These guidelines would be similar to existing policies against showing fans who run out on fields during televised events or publishing the names of sexual assault victims. In Canada, juvenile offenders' identities are not released, Lankford and Madfis wrote in their American Behavioral Scientist article. That policy covered a 17-year-old who killed four in La Loche, Saskatchewan, in 2016. Everyone in the small town knew who the killer was, Lankford said. He posted his intentions before the crime on Facebook and survived after to appear in court. But the newspapers still didn't run his name.

Copycats and fame-seekers

After data emerged that suicides can be contagious through the media and that reporting on one suicide was linked to a spike in later suicides, most reputable media outlets began changing the way they reported on suicide. For example, guidelines from the American Foundation to Prevent Suicide include avoiding sensationalistic headlines, downplaying focus on the method of death and including information on how to get help for suicidal impulses.

The letter's signatories are asking for a similar voluntary effort. Some prominent academics who backed the request include Harvard cognitive psychologist Steven Pinker and Katherine Newman, an expert on school violence at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

"As scholars, professors and law enforcement professionals, we do not agree on everything," the letter reads. "Some of us believe that by denying mass shooters fame, we would deter some future fame-seekers from attacking. Some of us believe that by no longer creating de facto celebrities out of killers, we would reduce contagion and copycat effects. Some of us believe that by no longer rewarding the deadliest offenders with the most personal attention, we would reduce the competition among them to maximize victim fatalities."

There is at least some evidence for all these positions. Lankford has found that killers often reference one another. The shooter at Umpqua Community College in Oregon in October 2015 mentioned as an inspiration the man who killed a television reporter and cameraman in Roanoke, Virginia, and posted the video to Facebook in August of that year. That Roanoke killer mentioned the white supremacist shooter who killed congregants at an African-American church in Charleston, South Carolina, two months before.

Shooters also compete for the most attention by killing the most people, Lankford said. In a 2016 study in the journal Aggression and Violent Behavior, he found that mass killers who expressed a celebrity-seeking motive killed twice as many people as those who did not. There is also a direct correlation between the death toll of a shooting and the news coverage received, Lankford told Live Science. [The History of Human Aggression: 10 Innovations That Changed How We Fight]

There is also statistical evidence that mass shootings inspire copycats. A 2015 study found that every school shooting inspires 0.22 more school shootings, and every mass shooting inspires 0.3 more mass shootings. The decimals reflect that not every inspiration is one-to-one; rather, shootings tend to cluster so that when you have four school shootings, you're ripe for a fifth.

There are times when a name will have to be released, Lankford and his colleagues wrote, such as when a suspect is at large. And the full details of mass shootings should be publicized, so that family and friends know the kinds of behaviors to look for before an attack. But after the fact, leaving out a name and picture doesn't have to be a sacrifice, Lankford said. In his papers, he refers to dates and locations rather than killers.

"I'm someone who publishes about the lives of these people in-depth for my career," Lankford said. "I've probably written more about public mass shooters than the vast majority of the media, and I'm saying I can do this, and our 147 signatories are saying they can do this, without the names."

Clues few and elusive for motive of Las Vegas gunman

LAS VEGAS (AP) — Those seeking to know the motive of Las Vegas gunman Stephen Paddock have had little more to chase than hints and shadows.

Unlike many other mass killers, Paddock led such a private life that no one seemed to know him well, and those who did had no sense he was capable of gunning down 58 people and injuring hundreds more at a country music festival before killing himself.

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe said that he was surprised Paddock had provided so few clues, and that has proved challenging.

Clark County Sheriff did share on Wednesday night said Paddock had rented an apartment in another high-rise above another music festival a week earlier, though he could not say why.

And he said he felt it was unlikely Paddock could have pulled off the elaborate plan alone, though investigators have no idea who may have helped him.

Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo laid out, in a Wednesday evening press conference, the timeline of events in Las Vegas on Sunday night from when a shooter opened fire on a music festival to when law enforcement determined that the suspect on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel was down.
Sheriff Lombardo clarified that previous reports on the timeline of events were based on CAD (computer aided dispatch) reports and have been updated after officials conducted a thorough review of body cameras.

LAS VEGAS, NV - OCTOBER 04: (L-R) Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo shows a timeline of events from Sunday's mass shooting as U.S. Sen Dean Heller (R-NV) and FBI Las Vegas Division Special Agent in Charge Aaron Rouse look on during a news conference at the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department headquarters to brief members of the media on the mass shooting on October 4, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. On October 1, Stephen Paddock killed at least 58 people and injured more than 450 after he opened fire on a large crowd at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival. The massacre is one of the deadliest mass shooting events in U.S. history. (Photo by Ethan Miller/Getty Images)

The following timeline was displayed on a screen during Wednesday’s press conference:

10:05 p.m. — First shots fired by the suspect. This was seen on closed circuit television from concert venue.

10:12 p.m. — First two officers arrive on the 31st floor and announce the gunfire is coming from directly above them.

10:15 p.m. — The last shots are fired from the suspect per body worn cameras.

10:17 p.m. — The first two officers arrive on the 32nd floor.

10:18 p.m. — Security officer tells the LVMPD officers he was shot and gives them the exact location of the suspect’s room.

10:26-10:30 p.m. — Eight additional officers arrived on the 32nd floor and begin to move systematically down the hallway, clearing every room and looking for any injured people. They move this way because they no longer hear the gunfire of an active shooter situation.

10:55 p.m. — Eight officers arrive in the stairwell at the opposite end of the hallway nearest to the suspect’s room.

11:20 p.m. — The first breach was set off and officers entered the room. They observed the suspect down on the ground and also saw a second door that could not be accessed from their position.

11:27 p.m. — The second breach was set off allowing officers to access the second room. Officers quickly realized there was no one else in the rooms and announced over the radio that the suspect was down.

The sheriff updated the numbers of those killed and injured in the mass shooting as 58 and 489, respectively. This does not include Stephen Paddock, who was found dead in the 32nd-floor Mandalay Bay hotel room. “Of the 489, 317 have been discharged from the hospital,” said the sheriff.

He clarified that early numbers of injured in excess of 500 included some people at the hospital for events unrelated to the attack and some victims of the attack who were double counted in the aftermath as victims were sent to multiple hospitals.

Sheriff Lombardo responded to reporters’ questions about what appeared to be a yellow note in a photo of the hotel room that was leaked to the press. Lombardo said definitively that it was not a suicide note and that no suicide note has been discovered as of the time of Wednesday’s press conference. He added that it appeared that the suspect may have wanted to survive his attack and escape authorities.

Lombardo added that Paddock appeared to be living a secret life and had spent decades acquiring ammunition and weapons. The sheriff called the attack “meticulously planned” and that Paddock’s motive is still unknown.

Paddock also previously rented a room at the Ogden through Airbnb during, and overlooking, the Life is Beautiful festival that occurred shortly prior to the Route 91 Harvest festival that was attacked on Sunday. Sheriff Lombardo said on Wednesday that law enforcement has recovered video from that time at that hotel to review Paddock’s actions while he was staying at the Ogden.

The sheriff said there will still be more interviews to conduct and that it could take up to five days to evaluate the crime scene. He added that, while there were two cameras on a room service cart outside Paddock’s room as well as the door peephole and inside the general family area of the hotel room, none of those cameras were recording.

Lombardo also told reporters that Paddock had 50 pounds of Tannerite as well as ammonium nitrate and 1,600 rounds of ammunition in his vehicle at the Mandalay Bay hotel.

Some in GOP open to banning gun accessory used in Vegas

WASHINGTON (AP) — Senior congressional Republicans say they are open to considering legislation banning “bump stocks” like the shooter in Las Vegas apparently used to make semi-automatic rifles perform more like fully automatic weapons.

The comments from lawmakers including the No. 2 Senate Republican, John Cornyn of Texas, marked a surprising departure from GOP lawmakers’ general antipathy to gun regulations of any kind. But they were far from a guarantee of a path forward for the new legislation by Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., especially with Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Speaker Paul Ryan making clear their priorities are elsewhere.

“If somebody can essentially convert a semi-automatic weapon by buying one of these and utilizing it and cause the kind of mayhem and mass casualties that we saw in Las Vegas, that’s something of obvious concern that we ought to explore,” Cornyn told reporters.

“I own a lot of guns and as a hunter and sportsman I think that’s our right as Americans, but I don’t understand the use of this bump stock and that’s another reason to have a hearing.”

Cornyn later said he’d spoken with Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, and that Grassley was interested in convening a hearing.

The devices, known as “bump stocks” among other names, are legal and originally were intended to help people with limited hand mobility fire a semi-automatic without the individual trigger pulls required. They can fit over the rear shoulder-stock assembly on a semi-automatic rifle and with applied pressure cause the weapon to fire continuously, increasing the rate from between 45 and 60 rounds per minute to between 400 and 800 rounds per minute, according to Feinstein’s office.

The government gave its seal of approval to selling the devices in 2010 after concluding that they did not violate federal law.

Feinstein has a career-long history on the issue of guns after becoming mayor in San Francisco after her predecessor was gunned down. She authored an assault weapons ban that was in place for a decade before expiring in 2004, and said she had been considering trying to reintroduce that more sweeping legislation, as she’s done unsuccessfully after past mass shootings, including the one at Sandy Hook elementary school in Connecticut. Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer urged her to go with a narrower bill that might be likelier to draw support.

Feinstein pleaded with the public to pressure Congress to consider her legislation after the horrific violence earlier this week when a gunman killed 58 people and injured hundreds at an outdoor concert that she said her own daughter had considered attending.

“Mr. and Mrs. America, you have to stand up, you have to say ‘enough is enough,'” Feinstein said. “Why can’t we keep a weapon from becoming a military-grade weapon?”

The National Rifle Association, which has played a major role in exerting political pressure against gun curbs, did not respond to inquiries about its stance on Feinstein’s bill.

At least one Republican senator, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, said outright he was prepared to vote to ban “bump stocks.” ”I have no problem in banning those,” he said.

Sen. John Thune of South Dakota, the No. 3 Republican senator, said, “I’m interested in finding out more about bump stocks and I’ve got my staff looking into that and I know there are other members interested in finding out more about it as well.”

Even so, asked Tuesday about “bump stocks” and whether they should be legal, McConnell, R-Ky., said it was not an appropriate time to be discussing legislation.

Ryan, R-Wis., made similar comments Wednesday in a radio interview on WISN in Milwaukee.

“What I don’t think you want your government to do is to lurch toward reactions before even having all the facts,” Ryan said. “Bad people are going to do bad things.”

In the House, meanwhile, Rep. David Cicilline, D-R.I., introduced a bill to ban the manufacture, possession, transfer, sale or importation of bump stocks. Rep. Dina Titus, D-Nev., whose district includes the site of Sunday night’s rampage, said: “The victims and families in Las Vegas don’t need an explanation about the difference between machine guns and firearms with bump stocks. They need action.”

Congress’ recent history gives little cause to think Republicans would take any action on guns. Even after the 2012 Sandy Hook shooting where schoolchildren were slaughtered, Feinstein’s reintroduced assault weapons ban went nowhere, and bipartisan background check legislation by Democratic Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia and Republican Sen. Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania fell short on the Senate floor.

Last year, after the mass shooting at a dance club in Orlando, Florida, Democrats commandeered the House floor to protest GOP inaction on guns, but while garnering headlines the tactic did not yield results. Shooting incidents involving lawmakers themselves, like at a baseball practice earlier this year where Majority Whip Steve Scalise was critically injured, have not changed the calculus.

Feinstein held out hope that this time would be different because of the scale of casualties and the weaponry “taking it into war.” And Manchin said that he planned to meet with Toomey on the background checks bill, but would not reintroduce it without significant GOP support, which he said “ain’t going to happen unless the president gives his stamp of approval.”

President Donald Trump visited Las Vegas on Wednesday but said “We’re not going to talk about that today” when asked about gun issues.

Nolte: CNN’s Cillizza Lies (Again) About Democrats Not Wanting to Take Your Guns

by JOHN NOLTE5 Oct 2017805
With his move from the Washington Post to CNN, Chris Cillizza went from a dishonest leftwing news outlet to one with no scruples whatsoever.
CNN’s sins range from flat-out lying to ginning up violence in predominantly black neighborhoods to pointing what looks like a sniper scope at President Trump’s office window. And with this move, Cillizza has become even more dishonest than he was at the Post.

Back in July, although his very own network had already dishonestly described a meeting between Trump and Russian president Vladimir Putin as “secret,” Cillizza still published a piece branding Trump a liar over his claim that the media was dishonestly describing the meeting as “secret.”

That was a flat-out, provable lie spread by Cillizza, and one which he has refused to acknowledge, retract, or correct.

Eager to exploit Sunday’s mass-slaughter in Las Vegas for the cause of gun control, Cillizza published a brand new series of lies this week, with the provably false claim that neither Hillary Clinton nor Barack Obama have ever advocated for gun confiscation laws.

Moreover, Cillizza again brands Trump a liar for claiming that they have.

Let’s go to the videotape!

Barack Obama, June 2014: [emphasis added]

PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT: Couple of decades ago, Australia had a mass shooting, similar to Columbine or Newtown. And Australia just said, well, that’s it, we’re not doing, we’re not seeing that again, and basically imposed very severe, tough gun laws, and they haven’t had a mass shooting since. Our levels of gun violence are off the charts. There’s no advanced, developed country that would put up with this.

Barack Obama, June 2015:

“When Australia had a mass killing – I think it was in Tasmania – about 25 years ago, it was just so shocking the entire country said, ‘well we’re going to completely change our gun laws,’ and they did. And it hasn’t happened since.” …

“I don’t foresee any legislative action being taken in this Congress,” he said. “And I don’t foresee any real action until the American public feels a sufficient sense of urgency and they say to themselves, ‘This is not normal, this is something that we can change and we’re going to change it’.”

Hillary Clinton, October 2015

PARTIAL TRANSCRIPT: You know, Australia’s a good example, Canada’s a good example, [and] the UK’s a good example. Why? Because each of them had mass killings. Australia had a huge mass killing about 20 or 25 years ago. Canada did as well, so did the UK. In reaction, they passed much stricter gun laws. In the Australian example, as I recall, that was a buyback program. The Australian government as part of trying to clamp down on the availability of … weapons offered a good price for buying hundreds of thousands of guns and basically clamped down going forward, in terms of having more of a background check approach – more of a permitting approach.

So, on two occasions, you have Barack Obama, using the anti-gun law passed in Australia after the 1996 Port Arthur massacre, as an example of what he would like to see happen in America.

Moreover, you have an instance of Hillary Clinton, who was then running for president, using the same Australian law as a “good example.”

Here is what Cillizza does not want you to know…

This wonderfully awesome 1996 law passed by Australia was a full-blown gun — wait for it, wait for it — forced confiscation program:

Australia implemented a massive purge of guns in 1996, which included bans on “assault weapons” and other semi-automatic rifles and shotguns. They also did forced buybacks and then entered into a strict licensing and registration agreement where certain single-shot rifles and similar firearms could be owned but only if the owner provided justification for the possession of such a weapon.

Back in 2015, the leftwing Guardian even celebrated Obama for floating Australia’s gun laws as ideal:

US president Barack Obama has pointed to the effectiveness of Australia’s gun laws while lamenting the US’s apparent tolerance for frequent mass shootings.

To its credit, though, unlike Cillizza, the Guardian did not hide what those laws mean, which is confiscation through a forced buy-back measure:

In the wake of the 1996 Port Arthur massacre, when Martin Bryant shot and killed 35 people and wounded 23, prime minister John Howard pushed through laws banning automatic, semi-automatic and pump action guns, and enacted a comprehensive gun buy-back scheme, despite strong opposition from parts of the Australian community.

Of course Democrats want to take away all of our guns, as does the mainstream media, as does CNN.

And there is no lie the media will not tell, no lie Cillizza will not tell — even with actual videotape out there proving them liars — to further that goal.

NRA to Congress: Let ATF Re-Evaluate Bump Stocks; Do Your Job, and Pass National Reciprocity

The National Rifle Association (NRA) released a statement on October 5 calling on Congress to allow the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) re-evaluate bump stocks while Congress gets on with the work people have been waiting for since January 3: national reciprocity.
In other words, the NRA is calling on members of Congress to squash talk of more gun control by moving the bump stock discussion back where it began in 2010: with the ATF.

The NRA statement begins:

In the aftermath of the evil and senseless attack in Las Vegas, the American people are looking for answers as to how future tragedies can be prevented. Unfortunately, the first response from some politicians has been to call for more gun control. Banning guns from law-abiding Americans based on the criminal act of a madman will do nothing to prevent future attacks. This is a fact that has been proven time and again in countries across the world. In Las Vegas, reports indicate that certain devices were used to modify the firearms involved. Despite the fact that the Obama administration approved the sale of bump fire stocks on at least two occasions, the National Rifle Association is calling on the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) to immediately review whether these devices comply with federal law.

The NRA goes on to state that the organization believes “devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations.”

Notably, in 2010–when bump stocks were approved–the ATF saw no need for additional regulations. Moreover, Rick Vasquez, former acting chief of the Firearms Technology Branch of the ATF, told USA Today that bump stocks were legalized because they are “an accessory, not a conversion device.” And the distinction between “accessory” and “conversion devices” could not be more important; it is the difference between allowing a semiautomatic to mimic automatic fire in short bursts verses actually converting a semiautomatic into an automatic rifle.

So the NRA is asking Congress to end the gun control talk arising from the bump stock by sending it to the ATF, away from Congress’s purview. They say this with hopes that Congress will then become serious about passing concealed carry reciprocity.

The NRA’s statement concludes:

In an increasingly dangerous world, the NRA remains focused on our mission: strengthening Americans’ Second Amendment freedom to defend themselves, their families and their communities. To that end, on behalf of our five million members across the country, we urge Congress to pass National Right-to-Carry reciprocity, which will allow law-abiding Americans to defend themselves and their families from acts of violence.

LISTEN: Vegas Survivor Calls Up Michael Savage, Reveals There Was More Than One Shooter

he recent massacre at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival in Las Vegas has gone as the worst mass shooting in the history of the United States, leaving 58 people dead and nearly 500 others wounded.

It’s hard to believe that one person could have done so much damage, all by himself, in such a short span of time. One concertgoer named Gail Davis who was at the concert recently told conservative radio host Michael Savage why she belives there may have been more than one shooter.

Said Gail, who hid with her husband under a vendor tent during the shooting, “The thing that we noticed, my husband noticed too and I think even the metro police officer, there were shots that were higher pitched.

There were shots that were lower sounding, and they were going at the same time, and the lower shots were getting closer to us, and I’m thinking, ‘Oh my God, somebody walking in the crowd is spraying their gun back and forth and shooting people.’”

While not claiming expertise in firearms, Gail said that she has a distinct memory of what she heard, saying, “The one that was lower kept getting closer sounding to us. To me, it sounded like somebody was walking from the crowd from west to east, through the crowd and shooting.”

She also recalled that a woman right behind her got hit by a bullet in the stomach.

Said Gail, “How could a bullet be coming from our right, which was on our west, we’re facing direct south, the bullet would have to come straight up and make a 90 degree turn and go into her stomach?” Clark County Sheriff Joe Lombardo recently lent credence to theories that Paddock was assisted, saying in a press conference about shooter Steve Paddock,

“He had to have some help at some point. Maybe he’s a super-guy. … Maybe he’s super-yahoo, was working out all this on his own, but it would be hard for me to believe that.” Do you think there was another shooter? t

BREAKING: Vegas Shooter, Stephen Paddock, Made Several Visits To Middle East…That’s NOT The WORST Part!

More and more news keeps coming in surrounding the life of Las Vegas shooter Stephen Paddock.

We already know the 64-year-old’s father was once on the FBI’s Most Wanted list for escaping prison. His brother, Eric, says Stephen was a retired multi-millionaire. The Islamic State has taken “credit” for the shooting. Also, nearly two dozen rifles were found in Paddock’s hotel room.

Now, people are wondering if Paddock had an accomplice. For example, there was a cell phone charger found in his room at the Mandalay Bay that DID NOT fit his phone, one source reports:

INVESTIGATORS ARE TRYING TO NAIL DOWN WHETHER ANYONE ELSE WAS IN THE HOTEL SUITE RESERVED BY THE LAS VEGAS GUNMAN DURING THE TIME HE WAS REGISTERED THERE, MULTIPLE SENIOR LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS BRIEFED ON THE INVESTIGATION INTO THE SHOOTING TOLD NBC NEWS.

THE INVESTIGATORS ARE PUZZLED BY TWO DISCOVERIES: FIRST, A CHARGER WAS FOUND THAT DOES NOT MATCH ANY OF THE CELL PHONES THAT BELONGED TO STEPHEN PADDOCK, THE MAN WHO KILLED HIMSELF INSIDE THE MANDALAY BAY RESORT AND CASINO AFTER SENDING A BARRAGE OF BULLETS DOWN ON A CROWD OF 22,000 PEOPLE BELOW.

Also, Paddock vacationed on over 20 cruises – some of them went to Muslim-dominated nations like Jordan and UAE, another source reports:

LAS VEGAS: IN ADDITION TO HIS FREQUENT FORAYS INTO CASINOS AND GUN SHOPS, LAS VEGAS STRIP KILLER STEPHEN PADDOCK TOOK 20 CRUISES, MANY OF THEM IN EUROPE AND THE MIDDLE EAST, INVESTIGATORS HAVE LEARNED.

THE CRUISES INCLUDED STOPS AT PORTS IN SPAIN, ITALY, GREECE, JORDAN AND THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, ACCORDING TO INFORMATION PROVIDED BY A LAW ENFORCEMENT SOURCE WHO ASKED NOT TO BE IDENTIFIED BECAUSE THE SOURCE WAS NOT AUTHORIZED TO SHARE INFORMATION ABOUT THE INVESTIGATION. PADDOCK’S GIRLFRIEND, MARILOU DANLEY, ACCOMPANIED HIM ON NINE OF THE CRUISES.

There’s also a report swirling that Paddock’s suite was accessed using his key AFTER his car left the hotel garage, per Gateway Pundit:

THE HOTEL SUITE OF LAS VEGAS GUNMAN STEPHEN PADDOCK WAS ACCESSED AFTER HIS CAR LEFT THE MANDALAY BAY RESORT AND CASINO’S GARAGE AREA.

But wait, there’s more…

New ISIS Infographic on Vegas Shooting Claims Paddock Converted Six Months Ago

The Islamic State continued insisting that they have a connection to Sunday night's massacre in Las Vegas with the publication of an infographic about the crime filling the second page of their 16-page weekly newsletter.

(Al-Naba/ISIS)
Today's release marks the 100th issue of al-Naba, which is distributed in ISIS territories and online via mediums such as Telegram and social media as a PDF.

ISIS claimed through their Amaq news agency Monday morning that the "Las Vegas attacker is a soldier of the Islamic State who carried out the attack in response to calls for targeting coalition countries." They claimed he had converted to Islam recently.

In the new al-Naba issue, the terror group claims Stephen Paddock converted to Islam six months ago.

ISIS persisted in its full-court press effort to claim responsibility for the attack after the Amaq news agency claim with their official Nashir channel and affiliated al-Batar Media Foundation all insisting Paddock acted on behalf of the terror group.

The newsletter used the nom de guerre that ISIS bestowed up Paddock earlier in the week: "Abu Abdul Barr al-Amriki" -- the American.

"The brother Abu Abdul Barr stationed himself for the invasion on the 32nd floor of a hotel overlooking a concert, and opened fire continuously on the crowds using 23 guns and more than 2,000 rounds, and died, may Allah accept him, after exhausting his ammunition," al-Naba states.

Leaked crime scene photos and officials have indicated there was much more ammo in the room. Paddock was interrupted by a security guard, shot more than 200 rounds through the hotel room door, and then killed himself as police attempted to enter the suite.

The infographic states as "results of the operation" 59 killed -- a number that was reduced to 58 by Las Vegas authorities, not counting Paddock -- and 527 wounded, a number also reduced Wednesday as officials got a more accurate count from local hospitals, along with "panic and confusion of security in America and a number of European countries."

An issue of al-Naba released two days ago before the June London Bridge attack warned that another terrorist attack in Britain was "definitely coming."

Sheriff: Large Quantities of Explosive Compounds in Shooter's Car; No Known Hotel Companion
ISIS has in the past claimed attacks that authorities found weren't linked to the terror group, including the June attack on a Manila casino that left 37 dead. Shooter Jessie Carlos Javier had problems in his personal life including deep gambling debts, and had been banned from casinos before the attack. The multi-agency persistence in claiming an attack they didn't have a hand in is unique, though.

The Las Vegas massacre was the deadliest mass shooting in American history. And despite 24/7 media and law enforcement investigations, the shooter’s motives remain a mystery. That might be about to change.

A leaked photograph has been released to the media, and it ostensibly shows a note on a small table in shooter Stephen Paddock’s hotel room.

In the wake of the massacre that killed at least 59 people and wounded more than 500 concertgoers, everyone is still attempting to figure out Paddock’s motive. Could that note hold a clue or an answer to the mystery that is plaguing a nation?

Photo shows note in hotel room
Images of Paddock’s Las Vegas hotel room were leaked to the media on Tuesday. The photos, which many describe as being eerie, present Paddock’s suite, weaponry and bloodied body to the public.

One specific photo is turning heads because it may finally lay to rest the question everyone is pondering: motive.

Upon examination of the photo, it appears that a piece of paper was left on a small side table closer to where Paddock committed suicide. Whether it was a suicide note is not clear.

The Daily Star reports:

A note left by the gunman may offer clues to his reasons for slaughtering country music fans at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.
The rest of the images give us an astonishing inside at the scene inside the hotel room. There were 23 guns, an abundance of ammo and shell casings, magazines stacked in a single column and a bipod mounted rifle at his feet.

Law enforcement officials have repeatedly stated that they have yet to determine the motive of the suspect. The country waits with bated breath.

What we know about Stephen Paddock
Details about Stephen Paddock’s life have been scarce.

Some of the latest reports note that Paddock wired $100,000 to his girlfriend, Marilou Danley, in the Philippines. In the days leading up to the attack, the suspect gambled as much as $300,000 on various occasions.

It was also discovered that Paddock served as an IRS agent, a mail carrier for the United States Postal Service and an internal auditor at the Department of Defense.

Earlier this week, ISIS claimed responsibility for the mass shooting. The Islamic State stated that Paddock had converted to Islam six months ago and that the attack was coordinated – most officials have denied the claim, but the Las Vegas sheriff has said that the suspect may have been radicalized.

REPORT: Here’s What Liberals Will Never Admit About Vegas Murders

REPORT: Here’s What Liberals Will Never Admit About Vegas Murders
As frightening as Sunday night’s Las Vegas bloodbath was, there’s one statistic that’s even more horrific.

Chicago sees close to the same number of firearm-related homicides each and every month.

Just another month in the Windy City
At least 59 country music fans were murdered in cold blood at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas on Sunday, and hundreds were injured.

Compare that to the Windy City: the mean streets of Chicago were witness to 84 murders in June and 76 in July. There were another 50 in August, and 59 in September — the same number who lost their lives in what was described as the deadliest mass murder in recent U.S. history.

All told, Chicago saw 527 murders during the first nine months of 2017, averaging out to more than 58 murders a month. Of those, 489 were the result of gunshots.

Further, the number of shooting victims — both murdered and injured — is mind-boggling.

The Chicago Tribune reported that there were 4,368 shooting victims in 2016. This is a significant rise from 2015’s 2,988 reported shooting victims.

Murder is only part of the story
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel once famously said, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste.” This is one serious crisis — so what’s he doing?

In 2013, he asked banks to cut off lines of credit to gun manufacturers who refuse to support gun control. In his letter directed to Bank of America and TD Bank, he wrote:

In the past, the gun industry has stood in opposition to these safety measures. They opposed a ban on assault weapons on America’s streets, opposed a ban on military-style clips, opposed a criminal background check on all gun purchases and opposed any effort to crack down on criminal gun traffickers.
One year ago, Emanuel laid out his “blueprint” to control gun violence, in which he claimed: “The deck has been stacked against the kids… It’s time we reshuffle the deck and put our kids on the top of that deck.”

But the mayor’s emphasis was on police shootings — not the gangs that plague the city. He continued:

Fighting crime requires a partnership between the police and the community. And we all know that this partnership has been tested in Chicago. It is a problem that has festered in this city for decades. The shooting of Laquan McDonald brought it to a breaking point.
McDonald was a black teen shot and killed by a Chicago police officer.

“Gun violence in Chicago is unacceptable,” Emanuel continued. “It threatens everything we have done together and all of the progress we have made in other areas. It is pulling us apart at the very moment when our city needs to come together.”

Gun regulation not the answer
Chicago remains one of the heaviest-regulated cities in the country as far as guns, are concerned, though.

Clearly regulation isn’t the answer.

Like Chicago, Paris has strict gun control laws, in a country that has no Second Amendment equivalent. Nonetheless, the City of Lights witnessed the Bataclan theater bloodbath, in which 89 were killed by terrorists using firearms.

What liberals fail to realize is that gun regulations mean nothing to criminals having no qualms about breaking homicide laws.

When will they learn?

BREAKING: FBI Makes Big Announcement About Vegas Shooting

BREAKING: FBI Makes Big Announcement About Vegas Shooting
After Sunday night’s mass shooting at the Harvest Music Festival on the Las Vegas Strip left nearly 60 dead and over 500 injured, authorities are working to find a motive. The shooter was quickly identified as Stephen Craig Paddock, a 64-year-old man living in a retirement community in Mesquite, NV – and that’s where it all starts getting weird.

In the hours following the shooting, the Islamic State took credit for the attack, claiming that Paddock had converted to Islam months ago, and calling him one of their “soldiers.” But the FBI announced on Monday there is “no immediate evidence” to support ISIS’ claims.

According to the Independent, FBI special agent Aaron Rouse made a statement on Monday, saying “the bureau had ‘determined to this point no connection of an international terrorist group.'” The investigation is still in the early stages.

ISIS Doubles Down
Is the Islamic State’s claim as far-fetched as it sounds? In May, ISIS posted a video on social media promoting jihadist attacks on American cities – including Las Vegas. The video called for attacks with vehicles and knives, prompting Las Vegas officials to take some preventative measures.

Only a month later, the Vegas Metro Police asked for bollards on the sidewalk of Las Vegas Boulevard in places with high foot traffic and no separation from the street. Citing the ISIS video and printed documents they say promoted attacks in Vegas, the police wanted to provide additional protection from vehicle attacks.

Is it possible that ISIS changed its tactics in the wake of measures taken by Las Vegas officials? The FBI says no, ISIS wasn’t involved in the shooting.

The terrorist group, however, is doubling down on its claim, and British news outlet The Independent notes that the wording is the same as other verified claims of responsibility. Releasing another official communication Tuesday morning, ISIS again claimed responsibility, this time using what they say was Paddock’s Islamic name: Abu Abd Abdulbar al-Ameriki.

Is It Possible?
Rita Katz, director of SITE Intelligence Group, says that it doesn’t matter whether it’s true or not. Supporters will believe whatever they claim, and detractors will merely point to the false claim as further lack of credibility. From her Twitter:

Meanwhile, the FBI only took 24 hours to make a statement dismissing any possibility of ISIS involvement. Some pointed out the irony of the FBI quickly denying ISIS responsibility while taking more than 18 months to investigate whether Russia was involved in the U.S. presidential elections.

If it turns out that ISIS did, in fact, have something to do with the Las Vegas shooting, Katz warns, it would be a “monumental achievement” in the eyes of the global jihadi movement.

BREAKING: Vegas Shooter’s Disturbing Past Revealed
In the wake of the horrific massacre in Las Vegas on Sunday night at the Harvest Music Festival, Americans have been asking “Why?” What would drive a seemingly normal man to shoot hundreds of country music fans from the 32nd floor window of a hotel?

As the investigation continues, disturbing details have emerged about the shooter’s family history. Stephen Paddock’s father, Benjamin Hoskins Paddock, was a “diagnosed psychopath” who went on a bank robbing spree, escaped prison, and spent time on the FBI’s Most Wanted list.

Like Father, Like Son
Benjamin Paddock was a serial felon who was finally caught, tried and imprisoned for a string of bank robberies in Arizona in 1960. Only eight years later, he escaped from prison and spent years evading law enforcement as a fugitive.

During his time on the lam, Paddock robbed another bank in San Francisco. He would eventually face a trial on that charge as well.

A wanted poster from that time didn’t mince words about how dangerous Paddock was. Going by a long list of aliases including “Big Daddy” and “Old Baldy,” the escaped prisoner was described in very frightening terms by the FBI.

Palmer M. Baken Jr., the agent in charge of the Phoenix FBI office at the time, wrote the following:

Since he has utilized firearms in previous crimes, has employed violence in attempting to evade arrest and has been diagnosed as being psychopathic, [Benjamin] Paddock should be considered extremely dangerous.
When federal agents finally found him in Las Vegas in 1971, the elder Paddock tried to run one of them over with his car in an effort to get away. Four decades later in the same town, Paddock’s son would step into the spotlight as the perpetrator of the deadliest mass shooting in U.S. history.

Elusive Motive
The investigation into Stephen Paddock’s evil actions is in full force, as authorities search for a motive behind the shooting. The shooter was not “an avid gun” person, according to his brother, and yet police found over 20 guns in the hotel room, and nearly 20 more at the shooter’s home.

Paddock was a multimillionaire, according to his brother, who had no history of mental illness, and no obvious party or religious affiliation; with plenty of money and no apparent motive to kill, police are struggling to explain Sunday night’s massacre.

In yet another unexpected twist, ISIS claimed Paddock was one of the militant group’s “‘soldiers’ & he converted to Islam months ago.” They did not provide any evidence and authorities have yet to find any links, and it should be noted that ISIS has a history of falsely claiming credit for various violent attacks.

However, they reiterated the claim three times, even giving the shooter a name. ISIS also referenced Las Vegas specifically in videos released in May of this year and in 2014.

Based on these puzzling early details, the shooting so far is “significantly different from virtually any other mass shooting in U.S. history,” writes the National Review’s David French.

This is a developing story.

WATCH: Trey Gowdy Smells Something Fishy About Vegas Shooting
October 4, 2017 Luis Miguel
https://www.christiannewsalerts.com/gowdy-something-fishy-about-vegas/?utm_campaign=CNA_20170715&utm_medium=automated&bt_alias=eyJ1c2VySWQiOiAiMjA0NzVlMjEtYmFkYy00ZGM0LTkxMDYtOTUwZDNlN2Q5MjRlIn0%3D&utm_source=boomtrain
The Las Vegas shooting outside the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino that left 59 dead and over 500 wounded has had a devastating impact on America. So far, there is no explanation as to why this took place.

The mysterious events behind the massacre have many scratching their heads with suspicion, including Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC), chair of the House Oversight Committee. Gowdy questioned the current narrative, saying “it is difficult to believe that a single person could have done this without detection.”

WATCH Rep. Gowdy: My heart is broken for my fellow Americans
https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=25&v=zD6bk18TfJw

According to CBS News, the current opinion among investigators is that 64-year-old shooter Stephen Paddock acted alone. He was staying in his hotel room at the Mandalay Bay since September 28 and had 23 firearms with him. Investigators found 10 suitcases which are presumed to be the containers in which the firearms and ammunition were transported to the hotel room.

Police subsequently found 19 additional firearms, thousands of rounds of ammunition, explosives, and electronics at Paddock’s home in Mesquite, Nevada. Despite the high number of weapons and ammunition in his room at the time of the crime, no staff member or resident at the hotel reported suspicious behavior.

Rep. Gowdy finds it odd that Paddock failed to arouse suspicion in the days leading up to his shooting spree, in which he fired down from his room on the 32nd floor of the hotel at a crowd of 22,000 country music fans attending an outdoor concert.

“It’s an incredible level of premeditation that you don’t ordinarily see,” Gowdy said. “And it is difficult to believe that a single person could have done this without detection.” The South Carolina Congressman went on to assert that citizens reporting suspicious activity helps to prevent crime.

“And so, I hope that what comes out of this is … lots of crime is prevented because a non-law enforcement officer says something; the weapons and whether or not it was altered to become fully automatic and the premeditation of picking a certain hotel room,” Gowdy said.

Gowdy predicts investigators will discover people who viewed Paddock as suspicious but failed to report him to authorities. For Gowdy, the amount of premeditation involved on Paddock’s part made going undetected unlikely.

“I think we’re going to find someone along the way was suspicious, and they should have turned that suspicion into a phone call to law enforcement,” he said. “It’s an incredible amount of premeditation to not go detected.” Police have not yet publicly released information about camera footage, which may shed light on how Paddock transported his stockpile of firearms into his hotel room.

Stephen Paddock doesn’t seem to fit any profiles of cold-blooded killers, provoking mystery regarding his motivation. He had no criminal record outside a routine citation that was handled in court. He also had no history of mental illness, and investigators have yet to find a link to international terror — the seemingly only one clue into Paddock’s psyche.

Trey Gowdy finds it hard to believe there was only one shooter. Do you think there was more than one?

Do you think there was more than 1 shooter in Las Vegas?

Yes
No
Next
As reported by the Washington Post, the shooter’s father, an FBI most wanted bank robber, was taken into custody when the young Paddock was seven years old. His father later escaped from prison and was distant from his children.

Paddock’s girlfriend, 62-year-old Marilou Danley of the Philippines, returned to the US from a trip abroad Tuesday night. The FBI met her at the airport. Danley has been classified a “person of interest,” but for the moment she is not a suspected accomplice in the case.

Time will tell whether or not people noticed Paddock’s accrual of weaponry to his hotel room. Time will also tell whether or not Gowdy is correct.

Donald Trump and Melania Trump Visit Las Vegas Shooting Victims at Hospital

President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump visited Las Vegas on Wednesday after a deadly shooting killed 59 people at a country music concert and wounded hundreds more.
The president and first lady met with local officials and members of law enforcement and the medical community who responded to the mass shooting at a country music festival in Las Vegas.

“In the depths of horror, we will always find hope in the men and women who risk their lives for ours,” Trump said after meeting with law enforcement officials.

The president delivered a somber statement, acknowledging that many families were suffering after a loved one was killed or wounded.

“We stand together to help you carry your pain,” Trump said. “You are not alone. We will never leave your side.”

The president recognized many members of law enforcement who gave up their lives to save others.

“While everyone else was crouching, police officers were standing up as targets just trying to direct people and tell them where to go,” he said.

He also recognized the heroes who tried to save family members, loved ones, and even total strangers from the gunfire.

“Words cannot describe the bravery that the whole world witnessed on Sunday night,” Trump said. “Americans defied death and hatred with love and with courage.”

He told several stories of police officers who helped tend to the victims, including law enforcement officials who were off duty.

“For every hero who helped, every hero saved so many lives,” Trump said. “And believe me, a grateful nation thanks you.”

The Trumps also traveled by motorcade to the University Medical Center to visit with victims of the shooting, their families, and medical professionals helping them recover.

“We met patients that were absolutely terribly wounded and the doctors, the nurses, all of the people of the hospital have done a job that’s indescribable,” Trump said.

Trump spoke with reporters after visiting the hospital, praising the medical staff who moved quickly to respond to the shooting victims.

He recalled stories he had heard of victims who were shot multiple times during the shooting while trying to help others, and that some of the wounded refused to leave in ambulances, to save room for people who were more seriously injured.

Dr. John Fildes, a surgeon at the hospital said that employees executed a “disaster plan” that they had put into place in Las Vegas, that was rolled out “flawlessly.”

“We couldn’t be more proud of the community response. Every hospital took serious patients. Everybody took care of them well,” he said.

“I have to tell you, it makes you very proud to be an American when you see the job that they’ve done,” Trump said, congratulating the doctors and nurses at the hospital.

He told reporters that he invited some of the shooting victims to visit the White House once they were healed.

“I said, if you’re ever in Washington, come on over to the Oval Office,” Trump said.

Trump said that details of the shooter and his motivations would be released soon.

“I can tell you it’s a very sick man. He was a very demented person. We haven’t seen that yet,” Trump said. “But you will know very soon if we find something. We’re looking very, very hard.”

The Trumps traveled aboard Air Force One to Nevada with House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy, as well as Nevada lawmakers Sen. Dean Heller and Rep. Mark Amodei from Washington, DC.

Bellagio eyewitnesses confirm multiple shooters in Las Vegas attack

The Bellagio Hotel lobby was sprayed with bullets by a second shooter during the Las Vegas attack, according to hotel guests and staff who recount the horrific experience in a newly surfaced video.

Rene Downs made a Facebook Live video in the immediate aftermath of the shooting in Las Vegas, filming from inside the Bellagio Hotel which was on lockdown after “shots came firing in through the front doors of the lobby” causing “mass chaos and a stampede.”

Explaining that she was in the lobby with her husband at the time shots were fired into the hotel, Rene Downs also explains that the sheriff and mainstream media immediately covered up the Bellagio Hotel shooting, and in keeping with the “lone wolf” narrative, insisted that the Bellagio was not involved in the Las Vegas attack.

Bellagio Hotel Guests And Staff Confirm Multiple Shooters

“This was NOT all done by one shooter. News and LVPD are not reporting this correctly,” said Rene Downs.

“I don’t know about the other hotels but I do know about the Bellagio. I hit the floor and Daniel jumped on top of me.”

“If anyone has any questions about what they are saying on TV and what is actually going on, here’s the proof – we called the police station and we also called the news to let them know… when the shots came firing in through the front doors of the lobby, and the mass chaos and stampede… when under the table and Daniel was on top of me, and security came back over and started screaming ‘Everybody get to the back’, then we were rushed to the back court.”

Speaking to a staff member, Downs explains she is filming the scene because “What they are reporting on the news is incorrect.” The staff member agrees, saying “Yes.”

Downs then speaks to a fellow hotel guest, who also confirms on camera that he heard about the shooting at the front of the hotel.

The Bellagio is 1.4 miles from the Mandalay Bay resort, where Stephen Paddock fired on the crowd, and bullets from his semi-automatic weapons could not possibly account for the incident at the Bellagio.

The Mandalay Bay (bottom of map) and Bellagio Hotel (top of map) in Las Vegas are 1.4 miles apart from each other.
“When they are saying ‘No, nothing happened at the other hotels,’ like I said, I don’t know what happened at the other hotels, but I do know what happened at this one. And I know that my husband, right here, jumped on top of me, and I was holding onto another lady because she was scared to death crying.”

There is now a mountain of evidence, consisting of videos, police audio, and eyewitness accounts from multiple people proving this was an orchestrated, co-ordinated attack by multiple conspirators, and the mainstream media is attempting to cover it up.

Stephen Paddock did not act alone. Video footage provided to Your News Wire by Las Vegas residents have proven conclusively that there was a second shooter operating from inside the Mandalay Bay resort. Muzzle fire is clearly seen from the fourth floor, much lower than the 32nd floor where Paddock operated from.

Paddock’s next door neighbor in the hotel, Australian Brian Hodges, also confirmed the presence of multiple gunmen in the attack, telling Australia’s Courier-Mail newspaper, “‘There were multiple people dead and multiple shooters.”

Many Las Vegas casino staff have also come forward with information pointing to the existence of multiple shooters and conspirators involved in the Las Vegas attack. According to Nadia Gissell, there was gunfire at the Paris Casino.

“I work there and I don’t understand why they are not saying the truth,” she said.

Cameron Espino, who was in the Miracle Mile Shops, also demanded to know why the media won’t report on incidents at other hotels, and reported seeing two gunman.

Why is the mainstream media attempting to force a false narrative on the public? The answer is simple. The corporate media, controlled by a small, elite oligarchy, is operating on behalf of the New World Order, attempting to mislead the public into believing their enemies are their friends, and their friends are their enemies.

It doesn’t suit the mainstream media’s agenda to have Stephen Paddock operating as part of grand political conspiracy. The media is actively covering up this fact so they can continue pushing the New World Order’s sick and twisted agenda.

There is an active campaign to sow division and create chaos in the United States. Organized groups are working on behalf of global organizations with the most nefarious of goals. We need to wake up and stop believing everything fed us by the mainstream media. They have proven themselves completely compromised and unreliable.

Keep your eyes open. Question everything.

(Natural News) Although it seems increasingly unlikely he acted alone, Las Vegas Mandalay Bay massacre shooter Stephen Paddock is now known to have been taking prescription psychiatric medications that have been repeatedly linked to mass shootings. As detailed on PsychDrugShooters.com, over 100 mass shooting events have been carried out by people who are taking psychiatric medications.

“Stephen Paddock, who killed at least 58 people and wounded hundreds more in Las Vegas on Sunday with high-powered rifles, was prescribed an anti-anxiety drug in June that can lead to aggressive behavior,” reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

Records from the Nevada Prescription Monitoring Program obtained Tuesday show Paddock was prescribed 50 10-milligram diazepam tablets by Henderson physician Dr. Steven Winkler on June 21.

A 45% increase in “killing” behavior

Diazepam is a known to promote violent behavior and psychotic episodes. Via the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

“If somebody has an underlying aggression problem and you sedate them with that drug, they can become aggressive,” said Dr. Mel Pohl, chief medical officer of the Las Vegas Recovery Center. “It can disinhibit an underlying emotional state. … It is much like what happens when you give alcohol to some people … they become aggressive instead of going to sleep.”

Pohl, who spoke to the Review-Journal from the Netherlands, said the effects of the drug also can be magnified by alcohol.

A 2015 study published in World Psychiatry of 960 Finnish adults and teens convicted of homicide showed that their odds of killing were 45 percent higher during time periods when they were on benzodiazepines.

As explained on Natural News Blogs:

Recent shootings in the news – Sandy Hook, The Batman Movie Shooting, Columbine, and others all have a common denominator : Prescription drugs were all in their systems at the times these crimes were committed.

Almost every mass shooting over the last 20 years involved a shooter taking psychiatric drugs

Here’s a partial list, published by Natural News, of just a few of the mass shootings that have been carried out by people taking psychiatric drugs:

• Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Columbine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold’s medical records have never been made available to the public.

• Jeff Weise, age 16, had been prescribed 60 mg/day of Prozac (three times the average starting dose for adults!) when he shot his grandfather, his grandfather’s girlfriend and many fellow students at Red Lake, Minnesota. He then shot himself. 10 dead, 12 wounded.

• Cory Baadsgaard, age 16, Wahluke (Washington state) High School, was on Paxil (which caused him to have hallucinations) when he took a rifle to his high school and held 23 classmates hostage. He has no memory of the event.

• Chris Fetters, age 13, killed his favorite aunt while taking Prozac.

• Christopher Pittman, age 12, murdered both his grandparents while taking Zoloft.

• Mathew Miller, age 13, hung himself in his bedroom closet after taking Zoloft for 6 days.

• Kip Kinkel, age 15, (on Prozac and Ritalin) shot his parents while they slept then went to school and opened fire killing 2 classmates and injuring 22 shortly after beginning Prozac treatment.

• Luke Woodham, age 16 (Prozac) killed his mother and then killed two students, wounding six others.

• A boy in Pocatello, ID (Zoloft) in 1998 had a Zoloft-induced seizure that caused an armed stand off at his school.

• Michael Carneal (Ritalin), age 14, opened fire on students at a high school prayer meeting in West Paducah, Kentucky. Three teenagers were killed, five others were wounded..

• A young man in Huntsville, Alabama (Ritalin) went psychotic chopping up his parents with an ax and also killing one sibling and almost murdering another.

• Andrew Golden, age 11, (Ritalin) and Mitchell Johnson, aged 14, (Ritalin) shot 15 people, killing four students, one teacher, and wounding 10 others.

• TJ Solomon, age 15, (Ritalin) high school student in Conyers, Georgia opened fire on and wounded six of his class mates.

• Rod Mathews, age 14, (Ritalin) beat a classmate to death with a bat.

• James Wilson, age 19, (various psychiatric drugs) from Breenwood, South Carolina, took a .22 caliber revolver into an elementary school killing two young girls, and wounding seven other children and two teachers.

Sisters Say Vegas Shooter’s Girlfriend ‘Sent Away’ Before Massacre

Two sisters of Marilou Danley, the 62 year-old girlfriend of Stephen Paddock – the man behind Sunday’s shooting massacre in Las Vegas – claim that she was “sent away” by the shooter without knowing why.
Speaking with their faces blurred to Seven News in Australia, one sister said, “And I know that she don’t know anything as well, like us.” She added, “She was sent away so that she will not be there to interfere with what he’s planning.”

The sisters said this will be their one and only interview.

Two weeks before Sunday’s shooting, Danley, who returned to the U.S. Tuesday and is now in the hands of the F.B.I., arrived in the Philippines. Paddock later wired her $127,000.

Danley is believed to have been born in the Philippines. She moved to the U.S. in 1989 and met Paddock while working at a casino sometime between 2010 and 2013. She was married at the time but finalized her divorce in 2015 while living with Paddock.

Danley’s sisters not only believe she knew nothing about Paddock’s plot but that he spared her life by sending her away.

According to Las Vegas Sheriff Joe Lombardo, Danley remains a “person of interest” in the investigation of Paddock, whose shooting spree from the 32nd floor of a hotel resulted in 58 murders and another 400-plus being hospitalized.

On Wednesday, Newsweek gave itself another black eye with the jaw-dropping news that Danley had two social security numbers and was married to two men at the same time. That story has now been fully retracted.

“Person of interest” does not automatically mean that Danley is a suspect or even suspected of wrongdoing. No charges have been filed against her.
