God said:

How do I speak? I speak through every tree in the world, every leaf, every wind that blows, every sigh, every smile, every tear. I speak through your eyes, and I speak with your tongue, and I speak through poets and those who make songs. I Who Am Stillness am always speaking through you. You are My voice. You are My expression. You are My ears, and you are My blessing.

Speak for Me. Let Me lie quietly and listen to you and what you say and how you represent Me, Oneness, in so many ways.

You are My agent. You are My spokesman. You are My advertiser. You are My expression, and so I am expressed.

I shall lie in the hammock of the moon while you light up the stars like candles and hold them up so that all may see. I gaze at the stars, and I gaze at you who are My tribute to Myself. We are the adorers and the adored, and We are the adoration We share.

You kneel before Me, and I kneel before you. We copy each other. We want to be One and the Same, and so We are.

The difference is that I know Who I Am and you know not Who You Are. It is too hard for you to believe, so you believe it not.

You have seen yourself as a salesman on Earth. You are a seller of wares and yet have not sold yourself on your Self. You are a salesman of trinkets and foreswear the real jewels. The real gems cannot be boxed. They cannot be broken and made into beads. You are the jewelry of My heart. You are the diamonds I hold while you look for glitter on the street. You forget that you shine in the light of the Sun and in the light of God.

You forget, and know not what you forget. You forget that you have forgotten. You are My only begotten son. You think you are scrapings and scraps of yourself when you are Self Entire.

You plant roses and think you are pulling weeds. You gather rosebuds and know not what you gather. You may gather gossip like corn. You gather memories and make a shrine of them. You gather yourself the way you drape a cloth. You know not what you are folding, and yet you fold and unfold.

You press yourself with an iron. You collect for the sake of collecting or recollecting.

You affirm the untrue and cannot sleep, or you affirm the untrue and sleep your life away.

You are the pilot of your life, and you forget your bearings. You forget to look up. You look back, or you look away, or you look at your feet as though your feet told the story of your life. Leave another kind of footprint, beloveds. Leave a footprint of your heart and your courage in soaring. Take flight without a net under you.

We can say that your net is above you, and that Heaven is your net, that I am your net, and your consciousness is your net, and We can say that you don't need a net, for you don't need saving.

Life is ascertained. You cannot fall. Oh, yes, the world is fraught with peril. That is only the story from one lens. Life has many lenses and many tales to tell. Even as the tale is varied, the tale is one story of beautiful love and stillness. That is the beginning of the story. Actually, there is no beginning anymore than there is an ending, for life is alive, and there is no end to it.

God said:
Be open to life. Let life show up. It may not be as you expect. It may be quite different from what you expect, yet life appears, and life is to be welcomed. Love life, and yet not hold on to it. Life is a chimera. Life depends upon the filter you see life through. Accommodate life. Everything that occurs or does not occur is expanding you. You are not exactly a rubber band, yet you expand. Sometimes you feel stretched. Feeling stretched is also part of life.

You want a sunny day at the beach, and it rains. Enjoy the rain then. What is to stop you but an idea in your mind? An idea in your mind limits you from joy. Have other ideas that will not limit you.

You are meant for happiness and greatness. You are not meant for unhappiness and smallness. And so you expand. You are mighty, yet you are not a mighty oak that cannot bend. You are like a mighty willow tree. You are not blown away nor do you stand adamant. The winds of change go through the branches of a willow. The willow is not a pushover. The willow stands firm, and yet it bends. It makes way for newness. Be a staunch supporter of newness. Welcome the breezes of change.

Life beckons you. It beckons you to change. It is certain that life does not stay the same. Nor must you.

Be amenable to change. Do not make judgments. Make change welcome. Progress does not come from staying the same. A human being is someone who grows and changes. It is not that you betray your life by not holding onto it. You further your life. At every moment, you are growing closer to Me. You leap over the tall past. You are gracious to life. What else is there for you to do?

Change may not be what you want, and yet you would do well to make friends with it.

Consider life like the weather. You cannot lash the sun to a certain position in the sky nor can you erase the clouds at will. You can erase the storms of your mind that protest the course of life, however. If you must protest, protest your unwillingness to change, for change may be your best option, your only option.

Where do hard feelings come from except from an unwillingness to change? Have soft feelings. Be tender to life in all its guises. Life is mobile, and so you must move with it. Consider what is necessary, and what is not necessary.

In summer you do not need a winter coat. In winter you may want to wear ear muffs. What is fitting in one season of life is unfitting in another season. You are a human being who adapts to what is. You are not silly about the seasons. Sometimes, with life, you are silly. You may protest that water gets you wet. Life itself is like water. It flows, and, beloveds, you are to flow with it. Certainly, you can paddle your own canoe, yet why paddle upstream? Why upstream?

You can walk on the bank of the river. You can have a firm step, and yet not be tied to your former reactions.

And, so, you are adaptable. You can choose. You are not Johnny One Note. You are a human being who knows when to swim and when to float. When there is a tree you want to climb, you do not cut it down. When you protest life, are you not protesting the very tree you want to climb?

God said:

Are you tired of the subject of love? Do you feel that enough has been said about love? Do you perhaps feel that love is too peripheral a subject? That love has eluded you and perhaps is not for you? You may have eluded love, but love would never elude you. You may have been unaware of love. That is not love's fault. Be aware of love right now. Consider that love stands on every street corner waiting for you to appear.

Love has been seeking you from pillar to post. Love never ignored you. You simply didn't see the signs. You passed by love without a backward glance. You demanded that love arrive in a certain guise, and so you were perturbed about love. Love didn't wear the hat you expected it to, or it wore no hat at all. Love didn't have a sign hanging from its neck that said: "I am love. Here I am."

You had to read between the lines. Love was anonymous until you picked it out from the crowd. Love was like a movie starlet you had to notice. You had to recognize the stardom of love.

If you want love, then notice love. Welcome love. If you wanted a knight on a white charger, you may have been unwilling to notice a knight who was walking instead of riding. Make room for love. Let love arrive as it does, and welcome it and nourish it.

Despite everything you may think, love requires recognition and nourishment from you.

Love does not arrive as a package in the mail. Love from inside you has to alight. The love within you is the love you have to see and unwrap. Roll out the love in your own heart. Let it be a loran that guides you.

A speck of love can grow into a mountain of love. Love does not have to reach you full-blown. Love may nod to you, and then how you bring out that love is up to you. Of course, you can ignore it. Of course, you have ignored it. If love didn't wear the coat of many colors, you averted your face from it. No matter how hungry you were for love, if it did not appear as you wanted it to, you averted your face from it. You decided that that love was not good enough for you.

From a speck, love can grow. Love has to grow bigger than your mind. You mind doesn't know as much as it thinks. Let's face it. You have, in the past, been a snob of love. Only certain shapes of love would you welcome. Perhaps only the most fantastic love was good enough for you.

You can't be dead pan when it comes to love. When love enters the room you are in, get up and greet it. You may never know what grows from a seedling until you let it grow. Not even a slight glimpse of love is to be ignored. Be a greeter of love.

Love can be wrapped fancy, and not be right for you. Love simple may last long and wear well. Love may be a lei tossed to you. It doesn't matter the form of love. Invite love and welcome it.

Let love be the conductor of the band. Let love seek you out. Let love deck you out with roses. Let love arise, becoming to your heart.

Let your heart soar. Let your heart soar where it soars. Follow the love in your heart. You are the field in which love is to grow.

God said:

Look, it's okay that you make mistakes. Of course, you make mistakes. You are groping your way in life and often wear a blindfold. Only afterwards does the blindfold come off, and you see. Be glad that you see now. You are past a particular mistake now. You simply don't know everything. And sometimes you are not thinking. The thing is you think now, and now you are aware. Hurray. Be happy. Applaud yourself for learning. What are regrets but that you have learned something? Fantastic!

The movie you are in now is not finished. The movie is in process, and there are retakes. This movie of life gives you opportunity to try again in another scene. Isn't that wonderful?

I made you perfect. Perfect doesn't mean that you know everything. Perfect doesn't mean that you don't have anything to learn. Perfect doesn't mean that you are full-grown right now. How can you be a human being in a body and do everything that pleases you when you are learning, learning, learning? You are a novice.

Life is spontaneous. There are no instruction books. Well, yes, there are, and yet you may not yet be ready to follow them. You are real. You are not a sham. You give more than lip service. Mistakes are not like scalps that you collect. Mistakes are mistakes. When you have made one, then throw it away. No reason to keep it.

The fact is that you learn as you go along. A learner is not less perfect than someone who has already learned. A learner is learning. Everyone in the world has something to learn and something to unlearn.

You learn from everywhere. You learn in your own backyard, and you learn in other countries. A human being is someone who is learning. He is perfect in his learning.

Look not to know everything, for then you are barking up the wrong tree.

Look to give love, and, then, how well you will grow.

This is how you become all you want to be. You may even revise your list of what you want to be.

Know this. The rest of your life holds great fortune for you. It will offer you much evidence of what you have already learned. No need to retrace your life and fix it up. Let error go. It was a passing thing. Now you have more love to give. Do you learn love? I suppose you do. You learn to hamper love less. You learn to express it more. You are eager to express love more.

And, so, you are learning love in life. You are learning how to give it more and to be comfortable with giving it more. Beyond a doubt, you will learn that you are one who loves. You receive your own giving. You are a partner in love. In one supreme feat, you give and receive love. Hard to tell who is the giver and who is the receiver when love is all in one fell swoop.

You are going to do somersaults of love. You are going to be an acrobat of love, so limber in love are you becoming.

When you ask yourself what you have done in life, you will be able to answer: "I have given love."

You have learned love and the giving and receiving of it. You have learned to put love at the head of your list, love before all else. All this you have learned.

You have taken your assignment to assign love seriously and then you have joy and give joy, for you are love and joy, and you learn the love and joy that you are, but perhaps have been reluctant to soar to the heights of, or not believed that you have enough love to give. Hear Me, beloveds, you multiply love by giving it. This is what you learn.

God said:

When your cup runneth over, enjoy it. You are meant for brimful. A cup empties only so that it may be filled. You are ascending to love. Ascension does not have to be something that happens to you. Rise to it. Rise closer to your True Self.

Sometimes you feel in a daze. You didn't see it coming, this True Self. Others may see it before you do. Why be the last to know how much love you are? If you see love all around you, you can know that you sparked it. This is no mistake. This is revelation. This is when you reveal yourself to yourself. This is when you stand up and say, as I do say, "I am here."

The One of Me is all that there is, so it is I Who says, "I am here." Perhaps you are My echo, in which case, you echo love. Yodeler or not, you are the essence of love. Welcome to Oneness. Welcome to Paradise. I have been waiting for you. I have been preparing for you. I knew of your arrival. Thank you for coming.

Yes, even in the moil and toil of life on Earth, there is Oneness Rising. You rise to yourself. You take your rightful position in the field of life. So many scenes have sped past you, and now you lead. Your simple Beingness leads.

No longer does the world judge you on your position in the world. No longer does the world judge you at all. Now the world embraces you, clasps you tightly to itself, and holds you as a mirror and looks into it and sees Me, sees you, sees itself. A New Day is born. You stand on a higher rung of the ladder even though, in truth, there is no higher, no lower. Actually, there is only one rung in the ladder. Now you know where it is. You stand on it and cannot be shaken from it. Once you reach this imagined hurdle of the ladder, nothing can deter you. Nothing can keep you from rising. Your heart is rising now.

All the climbing, all the ascending, all the top of the star that you can reach, have always been right there, ready for you to claim your place. A star in the firmament holds its ground, so to speak. A star in the firmament holds still like the Statue of Liberty. The Statue of Liberty is immovable. You are immovable. You stand tall in your place in Heaven. All are equal, and you waver not. You do not stand in line. You soar! You soar to My heart. You are your own leveler. No longer is there a first and a last. No longer is there someone in the middle. There is no position. There is love.

Love is aglow. You are aglow with love. Once you sit down, you fit. You belong here. Of course, there is no place as such that you belong. You belong everywhere. You are everywhere. You have emblazoned the Universe with the light of love as it passes all borders. The love you are permeates everywhere. Thy Name is Love. So be it.

Love is etched everywhere. Written in sand, written in the waters, embedded in stone. You are My love spanning the Universe, restoring love. Love is a ribbon of you that expands all over the Universe. You are a ribbon of love, a shower of love, love as it is, love calling all hearts to yours, not for you but for all the seeming others who are, in reality, you. And so love loves itself. Love ties a bow, for love reaches all hearts and stays with them like at an outing.

God said:

Let your heart rest. Let your mind rest. Let there be gaps between your sentences. Let there be pause between thoughts. You don't have to be thinking a mile a minute. Your thoughts don't have to comment on all your thoughts. Let your thoughts be. That is the same as to say: "Let your thoughts go." So many of them are just flim-flam anyway, isn't this so?

Be good to yourself. Give yourself a break from racing thoughts.

Come, lie down in the green pastures of life with Me. We will put your thoughts aside for a while and just be. Entwined in love, We can be without thought, certainly without thought upon thought upon thought. We can be without thoughts battling back and forth, thoughts with their fists up, ready to squash other thoughts, thoughts not considering what they are doing, just thoughts buzzing around. .

Know your goodness, and no longer berate yourself. Half the thoughts in your head aren't yours anyway. They are echoes of others' thoughts. Thoughts assail you. Be without thoughts for a while. Enjoy a backyard where thoughts do not enter. Here the grass is long, and yet you don't have to even think about mowing it. Here you just let everything be.

Too much thinking shackles you. Too much thinking doesn't free you. Too many thoughts spin you around and make you dizzy. It is like you think you have to pick every apple on the tree when you can let them ripen. Thinking so many thoughts can be thoughtless. You have some say over the thoughts you have. You are not looking for an accumulation of thoughts. The idea isn't: "The more thoughts the merrier." Not at all.

Let your thoughts be like poetry. Length is not your standard. Crowdedness is not your standard. Simplicity and usability are. Peace is.

Give some of your thoughts a nap. Let them wake up refreshed. They just may go off somewhere, leaving you to rub your eyes and enjoy the fresh air.

Do not be a hoarder of thoughts. Let your thoughts be like birds who are free to fly. You want to be free to think, not encumbered with thoughts that would take you over and leave you no peace. Let your thoughts be like doves that surrender to you. Your thoughts are not to keep you captive. Instead of surrendering to your thinking, surrender your thoughts. Uncrowd your mind.

You are more thoughtful when you have fewer thoughts. Let not your mind be full of thoughts like weeds. Pluck the weeds out and let beautiful flowers grow tall in the garden of your mind. Let flowers of thoughts blossom. Too many thoughts are wasteful. Thought after thought runs into another, and you don't even know what you are thinking. Let wholesome thoughts thrive and let go of those thoughts that would rattle you. Let your thoughts be respectful of you. You need not be subservient to your thoughts.

Thoughts do not have to run free in your mind. Your mind is your pasture. Your thoughts do not have to be racehorses that fill your mind. Let thoughts graze quietly in the pasture of your mind.

You have thought enough thoughts to fill your mind for a lifetime. Thoughts are good. Just make yours worthwhile. Let not thoughts rustle you. Have thoughts that you enjoy and would like to grow as a crop. Why reap thoughts you don't want to? You are not obligated to your thoughts. You have some say over them.

Worthless thoughts are ruthless thoughts. Worthwhile thoughts bring peace. Culture wholesome thoughts. Keep wholesome thoughts near. Let your thoughts be a blessing to you and the world.

God said:

What you call obstacles are interruptions. Obstacles are not permanent. When your car runs out of gas, you get upset. When you cannot connect to the internet, you get upset. When milk spills or you drop an egg, you are upset. These are not conditions that are to undermine your life. They are little contentions. Little contentions do not last long. They are not out to get you. They are not thinking about you at all. A dropped egg is not Humpty Dumpty. Or we can say that there are other Humpty Dumpties. Another egg will arise. A new glass of milk will be filled. A gallon of gas will turn up. Suddenly, the internet connection will come on, and life will become animated again. Let not your reactions grow big. Nothing has to stymie you. Your good nature is not dependent upon electricity or gas or eggs or milk. Inconvenience is inconvenient. Why would you make inconvenience into more than that? Why would you make something small big?

Of course, how you would like everything to be available to you all the time. You want all the apples to be ripe for picking right now. You want what you want when you want it. Be less adamant. Understand that what you may consider rights are privileges.

Must these lapses in service get to you? Must you be perturbed? Sometimes I wonder if you think these inconveniences are attacks on you or some kind of declarations of war. You are not powerless. You can let go of your insistence on life going on as you would like.

Be more amiable. Consider all the times your car has a full tank, all the times milk does not spill, and eggs do not drop. Consider all the times that the internet connection is on, even when you are not using it! Why would you allow these little contentions thwart you, take over your day and your mood? A pesky fly is no more than a pesky fly. A fly is not a giant. Invest your life in something greater than inconvenience.

Where there is frustration, let there be good nature.

Learn to laugh at your urgency. You do not need to be a puppet of time. That is what is going on, isn't it? You would shake your gas tank, if you could, kick the spilled milk and punch the dropped egg, scream at the internet. One way or another, you will learn patience. You have learned impatience, and now you can unlearn it.

Maybe life is telling you to slow down, so, slow down. What a wonderful opportunity to face your attachments and let go of them. The gas tank is not at fault. You are at fault.

An empty gas tank is not the end of the world. Nothing is the end of the world. The end of time can only be the end of illusion. Time is not. Take a rest from time for a while. Find something else to fill your day. Get down from your high horse.

Instead of being perturbed, remind yourself of all that you do have right now in your life. You have a floor under you and shoes on your feet. You have the ability to walk. You even have the ability to wail about dropped stitches in life and moan about this and that. Have the ability to moan, and yet don't moan. Woe is not upon you.

Be gracious to inconveniences, and be gracious to yourself.

When your car runs out of gas, have a picnic. Rather than grumble, use the time. Wield time rather than protesting it. Consider that life is always on time. Perhaps you are late in realizing this. There is no running out of time. This is a world gauntlet that you are really too big for. Accommodate lapses. Don't take them so to heart.

Heavenletter #4149 Your Left Shoe Cannot Fit Your Right Foot, April 4, 2012
God said:

You can know that there is a reason or reasons for everything. You don't have to know the reason. From the branch of the tree that you sit on, you cannot see that far. Even if you could see that far, you probably wouldn't grasp what you saw. The point is that you do not have to know any reason. There is not quite cause and effect, nor are events random. Asking Why isn't quite the right question, for the answer will not be right for you either. An answer will not assuage you. The question Why repeats and repeats itself.

There is a tendency for you to think that if you understood why something occurs, you would feel better. And yet an answer would not satisfy you. You would argue with it.

The thing is you do not have to okay what occurs in life. You don't have to give your approval any more than you have to give your disapproval. Occurrences in life are occurrences. They occur. That's about as far as you can go.

Naturally, you want something to make sense to you. From the level of your mind, there is no sense. Explanation cannot solve your heart's woe. We can say that your mind is like your left shoe and your heart is like your right shoe. Your left shoe cannot fit your right foot and so on. Why bark up the wrong tree? I am not really asking Why, you understand.

When you ask Me why you were born, I tell you that you were born to love. I could ask why you ask. I could ask: Are you so dissatisfied with life that you insist on answers, and, furthermore, you insist on answers that you want even when no answer is the one you want?

I make no mistakes, beloveds, yet if I were to say I had made a mistake, that would not assuage you.

It comes down to this: You have to go on the premise that what occurs, no matter how you protest it, is in the best interest of all, including yourself. Yet this is very hard for you to accede to. How can what you don't want be a blessing, you ask yourself. It is unfathomable. You crave the details. You can't quite take My word for it.

Man is like the king in Greek mythology who daily rolled a huge boulder up a hill only to see the boulder roll back down again. This was his life throughout Eternity. He could not stem the rolling back of the boulder any more than you can roll back events in life. You ask, "Why did this happen? How could this happen?" Perhaps the king in the myth continually scratched his head and asked himself: "Why can't the boulder stay up where I put it?"

Persistence is a good quality, yet there are times you have to pause and take a different direction.

Get on with it, beloveds. You do not have to protest what cannot be changed. What you can change is yourself and how you deal with the past. That is what we are talking about, the past, isn't it? Why questions come from attention on the past.

Make peace with the past. Do not keep the past alive. You have enough to take care of now. Now is waiting for you. Now wants to engage with you. Now is right here before you. Live not in the past, for you have the present to live in. There is a stairway before you. Look up. Stop looking back. Take a step up. Even when your foot doesn't know what it is climbing to, lift your foot.

You have weighed yourself considerably as a human being, and you tend to find yourself wanting. Nevertheless, as much as you are human, you are also Divine. Some of your dissatisfaction with yourself comes from your subtle awareness that you are Divine and yet cannot see it. You perhaps see yourself as going along on a low road and well know that there is more to life than what you observe yourself living. This is the hub of your dissatisfaction with life in the world. You have a vague sense that you are meant for Greatness. Nevertheless, in your self-appraisal, you see more littleness than you want to see and do not perceive your travels into the spiritual realm.

You would love to see your higher side. You would love to discover it, yet you see only one side of the fence.

Your true life is more than what you observe. There is a side to you that denies the grit of daily life. There is a side to you that you cannot see and yet cannot take for granted. If you could but see, you would know, not guess, the Divine Light you emanate.

I do not favor regret or guilt, and yet what can be said for them, is that they give you some awareness of what you are capable of. You are rife with the capacity for greater. Look for signs of your Divinity within and without yourself. Look further down the road than regret. Look for a sense of Truth within you and within the world.

Cast your eye on possibilities rather than the certainties you presently see.

You may see yourself as having flunked a test in life. Look less at that and more at your beautiful heart that cares. Somewhere along the line, you may have gleaned that you are supposed to be perfect in world games, that you are to ace games and read poetry and excel in everything. A human being does not have to excel in everything or even anything. Where did you get the idea that you are to be tops in terms of world stakes?

When you gamble and lose, you want to be lucky, and when you are not, you feel let down. You feel dejected and feel that God was not with you. God is truly the luck you desire. It may be that you are looking for proof of your Divine Self. Where is the evidence of your worth, you ask.

That I made you is evidence. Surely, you don't think you created yourself? What you have been doing is creating your estimation of yourself and pulling yourself down. You have done this again and again. You have done this too much.

And yet when I tell you that you are a Perfect Being, you guffaw. Start looking at yourself in a different light. Instead of investigating your flaws, be on the lookout for what the world would call goodness. Look for it inside and out. That which you look for, you will see. This is like listening to a higher tune. That which you listen for, you will hear.

If you continue to berate yourself for lack, you will continue to see lack.

You do not have be academic in order to be Divine. You do not have to ace tests anymore than you have to get a touchdown and all the cheers of the world. All you have to be is what you are, and now it is time for you to give yourself credit for who and what you are.

Don't say you don't deserve credit. If you can discredit yourself so avidly, you can credit yourself and therefore Me. Give Me some credit for what I have created.

You are the artwork of a great Master. Do great paintings deplore themselves? Do they disdain themselves and bemoan why they were painted as themselves and not as someone else?

You are My expression. Express your Self.

You are eager to be healed deeply. What you are healing is your inattention to your feminine self. Now your feminine self is deep-rooted. It goes up and down your spine. It goes from the tip of your toes beyond the top of your head. You are becoming Universal Woman. Don't fear. You will like it. All your tension is gone. It has been going. You know it has. Now you are relaxed being. All good is coming to you because of your receptivity. It has always been coming to you, yet you have resisted. Resistance is gone. You have bowed down to the Universe. You have given up struggle. You are right. There is no need for it.

You stand at the top of the Universe. You are at My right hand. You who have been serving will have a greater role to play and a greater realization of the role you play. Gone are the past games you play. Gone is the making yourself little. Little and humble are two different things. Humility is yours. It is naturally you. I bless you. I bless you for your humility. Right now your teeth ache. That is because all the tension you have kept there is leaving. Touch and love each tooth. Touch and love each fingernail and toe nail.

Cover your eyes with your palms so that you bless your eyes and your palms. Clasp your hands to your ears that you can hear Me always. Put your hands lightly all over your head and so on all over your body so that you may embrace yourself in the love I carry for you. Feel My love tingling through your body.

Put your etheric hands inside every muscle, tendon, and cell of the inside of your body. In your brain. In every cavity. In your ears. Behind your eyes. The inside of your mouth. Inside your throat, the esophagus and so on, every organ, every gland, and let your hands come out through the soles of your feet.

You have gone through all your organs, all your glands, and you have given them My love through the energy of your hands.

Your blood. Your blood is refurbished. All love and everything good is within you, in every cell, in every atom of your body, and your physical discomfort is no more, for no tension is any more within you. I am giving you the ecstasy of perfect health. Know it is yours. You and the Universe are in balance. You balance the Universe. Your arms reach far. My arms through yours reach far.

Now reach your hands to every continent in the world and bless the whole world as One. And then put your hands into the interior of the Earth and bless it.

And now reach your holy hands up to the sun and receive its energy, for so would I have you have it. Give your energy to the blue sky and receive the energy of the blue sky into every cell of your body. Breathe it all in. Go to every planet and take it to your bosom. Receive the love of every planet. Love be thy name.

The entire Universe is now within your body. You are many-armed. You are the dance of Shiva. You are Lakshmi. Oh, yes, you are Radha, but that is minor compared to all else that you now know you are because I have told you so.

God said:

Even when you feel that you hold life by the reins, you are floating. Life is like riding a raft. You can even tie up the raft on shore, and still it can slip away into the sea, and somehow take you with it. Life will always take you with it. One way or another, you have to go along with it. You can take it in your stride, or you can drag your feet. Regardless, life will pick you up and take you with it.

You may create life as it happens, and yet you are not the captain of it. That you are in charge, the way a captain or general is in charge, is an illusion like any other.

What you do is live life. What happens, happens whether you consciously invite it or not. What you do now, this you have a say about. In effect, you paddle your own canoe wherever it takes you. You are not helpless, however. You ride downstream, and it is the ride of your life. Or you ride upstream. Or you bobble around in life, and life is the bobble of your life. You do bobble on the surface. This is life. And yet life is a big blooming amaryllis. Life grows. Let life grow on you.

As much as you might like life to be cast in stone under certain considerations, life is not cast in stone. It is a moveable object, a course that wends its way. Life is moving on at the very minute We speak of it or don't speak of it. Life is a live vibrant experience. It is for human beings to behold and uphold life as it appears. It is necessary to bend your knee to life even as you are the fulcrum of your life.

We can say that you pull the cart of life, and yet you cannot quite push it. You can try, of course. You have tried. You have tried to bend life to your will. Remind yourself that life is life and that's all it is, and life is not everything. Welcome life, and know that life is not your puppet. Nor are you life's puppet. You may have to go where life takes you. How you follow life is your call. In that sense, you do have eminent domain over your life.

You can follow the path of your life with a hop, skip, or jump. You can dance to it. You can try to chain life to your will. You can hobble along. You can mosey along. In any case, you do have to go along with it. Life is more than you may think at the same time, you make too much of it. Consider life a song you hear and sing it! Sometimes the tunes are what you love. And sometimes the tunes are what you don't love. In either case, you have to sing the song that is yours to sing until the juke box changes.

Of course, you have to go along with life. Do not mix up moving forward with making life obey. Life may put you in one spot, and tomorrow in another. Life really does have a life of its own, and you go right along with it.

You are not a puppet nor are you a pawn. Nevertheless, you do have to follow life. Life will let you know when you can go left, and when you can go right, and, still, you can love life for itself. Why not love life, this novel you read. Certainly, you can rest your eyes a while, and yet life moves on and takes you with it.

Life is meant to be a growing experience. It is not for you to point out wrong turns that you perceive life has taken. Life means to make good turns for you. Rise above the terminology of the world and give better names to what transpires in life. Give yourself new names as well. Give a good turn to life.

So close are We that you could reach out your hand and touch Me, that is, if I were physical as you are physical. That I am Pure Being and not physical makes it easier for you to reach Me, and I to reach you. Actually, as it is, we are permeable. In fact, it cannot be said that We reach when We are actually One. Where does One reach to? How do you reach where you already are? There is no span to cross.

And yet We reach. We reach with Our hearts. We touch with Our hearts. We love. The more We love, the closer We feel. Love enough, and Oneness is all, and, yet, love is not from the Will, and, yet, love can be willed.

If I am the tree, you are the branches of My tree. If you are My apples, I am your Tree.

Our Oneness expresses itself in various ways. Nevertheless, Our connection is inviolable. One with many aspects is still One. You are My One all right.

I extend Myself to Myself, and that is My joy. We are Our joy. We can say whatever We wish to say, yet Oneness is Oneness.

We come back to Oneness which We have never left. How can One return to where He has never left? How can One be absent from Oneness when Oneness is All and all that is?

So, then, what can happen in the world of happenings? Nothing at all.

Oneness utters a sound, and a tale spins. A tale stretches across the Universe, a babble of words, a babble of sounds. A sound is a sound, and tale is a tale, and so We are spun across the Universe.

Birds sing, and what are birds, and what does their song sing?

Someone drives a car, follows a route, or takes a detour, and what is the difference and what is the meaning, if anything?

Multiplicity is not more than Oneness. Multiplicity is the tale spun. Suspense builds, and Being participates in life and so wakes up to Oneness. Oneness is all that is to wake up to.

Oneness knows not fraughtness. Personalities, the characters in the story told, the tale spun, the leaves from God's tree, know fraughtness. They know how to weave a story. They know how to create it, how to play with it, and how to escape from it perhaps only to pick it up again later. Personalities know confusion, and know how to trade stock in it. Personalities take stock of confusion and pick it up everywhere and collect it. Personalities get bees in their bonnets.

The Self loves. The One Self laughs and loves. Being is incipient love. Being is love gathering itself. It is love before it streams. It is fullness of love ready to pour.

What a blessed Being I AM to come to Earth in so many ways and to play all the parts all at once. And, yet, I watch Myself in action - the seeming you in action - and many may think I am far away in the sky when I am the Closest of the Close.

So what do We talk about anyway, and who and what is it for?

I think We are for love. That's what We are on Earth for.

Let Us specialize in love. It is easy. All We have to do is to undo whatever it may be that keeps Us from loving outright. We leave the past. We leave it where it lies. We don't bury it. We let the past fade in the dust, and We emerge new, and We love some more.

There is nothing to come closer to than love, and love is Oneness, and We, seemingly expressed as you and as Me, are love. Who would ever want to be anything else?

When you can just be, and, of course, you can, then you will not know tenseness, anxiety, fear. No longer will they overtake Being. When you can just be, you just are. Being, which is pure consciousness, isn’t under the rule of world propensities. And you are Being. You are under no rule but the rule of love.

It is in the world that tenseness exists. Where could tension exist but in the world? Certainly not in Heaven. Tension is not the purpose of your being.

Be innocent, you have been told. Innocence is Pure Being. Innocence doesn’t look for something. Innocence sees with clear sight, not sight trammeled with fear and demands.

Oh, to be innocent again! Everything has a shine to it, and, you are shining. Your eyes shine. You are the light of God.

Innocent, you are not wrapped up in the past. You don’t look back, and you don’t predict the past to repeat itself, nor do you predict the future as if it were something lying on a shelf that you are to pick up. Innocent, you have let go of the past. You have let the past withdraw its armies. Innocent, you are in green pastures. All is new, or it is new again. Innocent-eyed, you see with the bright light that you are, and you rise in love.

Do not aspire to be blasé, sophisticated, or world smart. You have no idea what innocence can do. Innocence is not a fool. Innocence is like flowing water. Cleverness often creates that which you are clever about. Innocence is Truth. The heart is innocent. The clever mind is calculating. Of course, calculation is what the mind does. The mind estimates, surmises, figures out, is on top of, and, therefore, may compress that which it is on top of. Let not your mind compress your heart.

Clever isn’t desirable. Innocence is. Why do you like babies and baby animals so much? They are innocent and delightful. Be wide-eyed, beloveds.

Why is it that you need acquaintance with Me? You need Me because you need your very Self, and I am your very Self. Attention on Me is attention on Greatness. Attention on Me is not confined to details or outcomes. I am what you are, and this matters. Be innocent and not so adamant about all the temporariness you are adamant about. Attention on what is lasting serves you, serves all.

It is not a chore to put attention on love and givingness and God. I am far more than something you study. Study with the heart, beloveds, and allow your heart the sunshine. Follow your heart to where it takes you. It can only take you to Me which is the core of you. We are One.

Come on vacation with Me, vacation from worry and doubt and debt and all the numerous world matters that the human mind occupies itself with.

Worry not. All is well. And, if in world terms, all is not well, come closer to Me and your own light. Your heart will no longer rise and fall and drop into a cavern of concern where it runs around and forgets its purpose as if it were lost.

No, your heart is to rise and rise, closer to Me, closer to love and peace. Closer to Me, what can your attention be on but love and peace?

Attention on Me is consideration for Me. I am the content of your heart. Come closer to Me, and your heart will be content. I am a magnet of magnificent love, and you, too, the seeming you, are, in truth, the same magnet of magnificent love.

Oh, how We shall travel the world together.

Treasure of My heart, what prevents you from full-scale happiness? There is something in you that calls the shots. You are like an umpire of your life. You decide: "This is good. That isn't." And so you keep score of your life. And so you keep yourself in a state of unhappiness, all because of judgments you form or learn and take to heart as if what transpires is all about you.

When you say you are disappointed, you are disappointed. You tell yourself. You label your experiences in life when they are, all the while, nothing but experiences in life. It is not truly for you to assign life its attributes. Let go of being an umpire of your life. Lean toward being an emperor. Emperors are royal.

An emperor sits on his throne, and life appears before him. Whoever appears before him appears before him. Like turning pages of a book, one petitioner appears before the emperor and then another. Whatever the situation, he dispenses with it, and moves on to the next. An emperor takes care of his day, and he lets it pass. His fate is to move on. He does not hold on to his judgments. He does not hold on to the outcomes. He moves on.

It is not that he washes his hands of life. He simply doesn't hold on to it. He makes quick work of it. All the while, he quietly drinks tea, and, yet, he does not ponder too much. He lets go.

You, on the other hand, may be a swashbuckler of life. There you are, sword in hand, ready to declare bankruptcy or whatever the name of the challenges that appear before you. You have many names that you call what appears before you. Obstruction. Onslaught. Unkindness. Repetition. Rejection. Disinterest and so on.

Switch your thinking. There is a knock on your door. You do not know ahead of time who knocks on your door. Know ahead of time that it is opportunity knocking at your door. It may be opportunity in disguise, yet it is opportunity. It certainly is an opportunity for you to grow.

Consider that life is bringing you vitamins and minerals. Some taste good, and some taste bitter, and, yet, you drink them down, and then that's it. You wash the glass, and you return to a neutral place. There does not have to be a bitter after-taste. You do not cling to it. Vitamins work on their own. You let vitamins be. You let them do their thing. Now let life be.

Let life be like inhaling and exhaling. You are free in life. No longer consider that life can put shackles on you. How you absorb life as it arises is up to you. You don't fight. You don't take it all lying down either. You get up, not to fight, not to assess damages, but simply to move forward. And, so, what you may consider difficult goes out the window.

You may not be the comptroller of your life, yet you are the climate control of your life. You are the dispenser of peace, or you moil your life. Best to scatter seeds of peace and love.

You, beloveds, are the hosts of the Universe. Welcome life as it comes, and do not label it. Or, if you must label it, label it Adventure, or Surprise, or Delight, or Give it a good name. Welcome life and treat it courteously. Don't make an opponent of it. Be intelligent. Be wise. Take life as it comes, and handle it well.

Life is not a lion that you have to tame. You cannot tame life. Nevertheless, you can be light-hearted and engage with it.

Welcome change in life. You do not have to resist change. Changes could be old hat for you by now, for life on Earth is filled with change.

Sometimes in your life, it is as if you get on a horse, and then you rein in the horse so he stands still. You don't get very far that way, so I say again, welcome change in life. Welcome the changes you want, and welcome the changes you don't want. Be neutral to change. Sometimes change comes in disguise. Remember this: despite your opinion about change, despite your appraisal that some changes are good and others are not, all change furthers your growth. Every change brings you closer to Vastness.

In any case, whatever the change, favored or unfavored, you might as well go along with it. If your car broke down, it broke down. What is the point in bewailing it? If the stock market goes down, what is your kicking and screaming going to do about it? You don't want change, and yet you are determined to change what has changed back to what it was, and, so, you would like to change change.

If you lose your house, there is something good in that for you. Then you are free to move along without possessions. If you lose your job, you are freed from it. If a love leaves, you have a great opportunity to grow. Whatever changes life holds for you, you find yourself on a new plateau. You simply can't stay on the old one.

Believe it, the best is yet to come. Growth is on its way. Welcome it.

If, in human terms, you have lost your youth, you may say what is good about that? You lost your looks, and you no longer hold the importance you once did, or seemed to. The key word here is "seemed to." You thought you were on top of the world in your youth, yet were you? And if you think you have sunk into oblivion, have you? Have you really? And if you have really, there is a great opportunity here too. Every change in life affords its own blessings. Every change provides you with an opportunity to expand your thinking. And expand your thinking, you must.

Why? Because to further your life, your thoughts need to move along. Your thoughts have to find a grander horizon. Your thoughts cannot stay the same. You have to keep up with life. You are a human being who grows through twists and turns whether you want to or not.

Doors are opening for you, beloveds. Do you really want to close them and close life out?

You are not to wait to love life. Love life now. Love life as it is. Love life rain or shine. Life is a splendid opportunity. There is none like it. Divest yourself of attachment to how things used to be. Welcome life as it finds its way to you. Partner with life. Do not obstruct it.

Life is not about fighting it. Life is not meant to be a discussion of pros and cons. Life is meant to be lived. You cannot learn your lines ahead of time.

Tides of the ocean rush to the shore, and they leave the shore. There is always another wave, and another, and another.

It is not for you to discipline the Universe. Every change, no matter how alien to you, serves you. No matter how hard a change is for you to accept, no matter how much a change seems like a loss to you, it is a gain. The tide of change has lapped you closer to shore. It may not be the shore you had in mind, and yet it brings you closer to your desires. With or without your consent, room has been made for you. And now you go forward like a fish in the sea weaving through the water.

When you suffer, you are not fulfilling My Will. When you are angry, you are not. We can say that My Will is Vastness. That which is small is not vast, and yet Vastness is not a size that can be measured. Vastness exceeds measurement. Even a little deed can be vast.

Greet the day, and you are in accord with My Will. Exchange love, and you are in accord with My Will. Tip your hat, and you are in accord with My Will.

With stress and strain, you are not in accord with My Will. My Will is for ease. You don't have to run. Ambling is more inclined to My Will. My Will is not heavy-handed.

My Will does not oppose. My Will is not an affront to your will nor is your will an affront to My Will. You may be like a little shorty who fights My Will, for, of course, My Will is consumed in peace and in love. What else on Earth would I possibly will? It is My Will that you have everything I have, and I, of course, have peace and love. True love is peace. It is not fretful. True love depends upon nothing. True love is a state of Being, and you were born into it.

Fight is not My Will. There is no victory in fight. There is loss of peace and love. I suggest that you put your fists down. Strike a different pose. Go towards rather than against.

Be quick to say Yes rather than No.

Be quick to offer your hand. Be quick to see needs and fill them.

What is disturbing behavior in someone but a call for understanding, a demand for understanding? This does not mean you are a pushover. It means you see from a clear distance. You see from further than yourself. You do not have a little territory marked around you.

Your responses are not contrived, you understand. You come from where you are, and you are higher than you used to be. Shed those old clothes of thoughts and reactions.

What if you did not react? Who said that you have to have a quick and ready response? You can have a thoughtful response. You can be silent. When you stand high, it takes no effort to see further. You will naturally be more creative in your responses. You will not be so heavy-handed and adamant. You will no longer see a need to set someone straight. You will educate yourself rather than someone else.

In one sense, you are responsible to all. Of course, you are. At the same time, everyone is responsible unto himself, so you are not responsible for what others do or say.

If you want to be someone's parent or advisor, then you do it by example. Do it for your love and not for enmity. A leader of the Universe does not follow his old ways. He sets off anew. He has no map. He has consciousness instead.

You have consciousness. You have consciousness galore. All you have to do is to dip into your consciousness. Consciousness is infinite. You are infinite. Bless the world with your Infinite Consciousness.

It doesn't matter what the world thinks of you. It matters what you think of yourself. My view of you is guaranteed. It is your view of yourself that can use overhauling.

I take responsibility for you, and part of My responsibility is to request that you take responsibility for yourself. In fact, you are taking responsibility for yourself right now, or you are not. You can't have it both ways. If you want your life to be as you desire it to be, you are responsible. Wait for no man. Wait for no God. You are the inceptor of your life. You are the fulfiller of your dreams.

You let go, and, yet, you hold on. You let go, and, yet, you keep your dreams.

A suitcase that you pack for travel does not have to be jam-packed. Nor does the suitcase of your life have to be jam-packed. Nothing has to be crammed in. Allow your life to be easy-going. Allow your life to have extra space. Beloveds, you don't have to fit everything in. This is not meant to be your accomplishment - to see how much of this and how much of that you can crowd into a suitcase or into your life..

Your life, without exertion on your part, will be filled to the brim. Life is expansive. Life is just like that. Even if you are confined to bed, your life, as it is, can be filled to the brim, do you understand Me?

A spectacular book you read cannot have everything in it. There are gaps you fill in. In your life, imagination fills in the presumed gaps of your life.

If you are six feet tall, you are not five feet tall. You can't be a world-traveler and stay home - or can you? The heart and mind travel far.

You are not so tied to Earth and Earth experience as you may think.

It is not a new thought that you are also active in dimensions you have not yet fathomed.

Your conscious activities are not the sum total of your life anymore than your appearance is.

It is not a new thought that you inhabit Heaven. You may think that you are fixed, or that you are in a fix, and yet, even so, you are not bound to Earth. You are bound for Heaven. Heaven is the direction you move toward. This is real Heaven, a state of being where all is possible.

Contrary to popular opinion, you are capable of traversing the Universe and all held beliefs. Any belief that keeps you tied to the past is a held belief. Let your beliefs fly free. Believe more in yourself than all that you have previously held onto.

Beloveds, you have been masters of self-deception. You have too often closed the blinds on yourself. You went so far and no further because you expected that you were capable only so far and not further. And so you captured yourself in a net of confusion and barriers.

Life is not meant to be an accumulation. It is not meant to be a shelf filled with statuettes that proclaim your worth.

I have proclaimed your worth, and I never said that your life was about quantity. How much you have lived is not the benchmark of your life. How much you have grown is more like it. How much you have grown to love is more like it. Of course, there is no prescribed test to your life. You are your life. Your consciousness is your life. Your consciousness moves your life further and higher. There are really not milestones. There are high points, however, high points that go higher and higher and you soar with them.

There is the concept of the present adhered to the past. There is nothing but the present, beloveds, and the name of the present is Infinity. There are no boxes in Infinity. Nothing is stored in Infinity. Infinity is ever-present. It is not even marked in time. It is not marked in space. Infinity is not made of segments. If Infinity is marked in anything, it is marked in absence of time and space, and that is called the Present. Here is where We meet. Right here, right now, where clocks do not tick and there are no lines in space. Here is where We are, or We can say from another angle, here is where two of Us are not and Oneness is.

What is it right now that you want the most? Do you know what it is? Do you know your heart’s desire? Of all the desires in the world, what is your deepest desire?

It is not the jewelry you have been looking at. It is not fame nor is it fortune. You may say it is happiness, and, yet, what form would your happiness take and for how long?

It could well be romance that is your deepest desire. It could well be the romance of the century that you desire with all your heart.

All your relative desires are as little compared to your infinite desire for closeness with Me. Your deepest desire is to be in Heaven with Me. When it is fulfilled, you have it. You always did have it, but now you know you have it, and you have it for Eternity. In all other desires, fulfillment is not lasting. When you have it, as good as it may be, when all is said and done, what are you left with but an illusion in your hand?

You may desire solace. You may desire all the earthly desires. They could all be fulfilled, and then, sooner or later, it comes down to your desire to be with Me, in close contact with Me, in league with Me, in partnership with Me. With Me comes an end to loneliness. With Me comes love, big love, an ocean of love. Love satisfies, yet, in life, you have confused much with love.

The love I speak of cannot be purchased. It can only be arrived at. It can only be realized. It can only be discovered. It can only come out from hiding.

Coming close to Me is not absenting yourself from life in the relative world. Coming close to Me amplifies life in the world. It gives color to it. It gives music to it. As you come closer to Me, Our closeness makes everything more wonderful. It makes anything and everything more wonderful.

Do not think that you are choosing relative life or spiritual life. You are choosing life, beloveds. Choose Me, and you have an entrée to joy in the world, yet nothing can equal closeness with Me. It is like having your heart in your hand, and it is nourished grandly. It is cultured. It is multiplied. It is supported. It is affluence, beloveds.

Loving Me is being in love and in love with life.

Do not put spirituality on a pedestal as if it were holier than life. The spiritual is life. It is a practical component of life. It is the basis of life, and the basis of lasting happiness.

You have not known closeness until you know closeness with Me. You have not had the awareness of closeness with Me until you come closer. And then We continue to be seemingly closer to one another until We are fully established in the Oneness that always is.

I am not even around the corner. I am here right now in your heart. Take a moment to feel My Presence. I am right where I want to be, and that is with you. And you are right where you want to be, and that is with Me. And so We become the Oneness of One. How simple. How wonderful that We are each other’s Beloved.

If you want to know Vastness, then know Our love. Vastness is at hand. We are not far away from each other. We are each other. I have sought you for a long time, and now you are consciously seeking Me. What can be more desirable? What else can be the basis of your life in the world?

What ease. What wonder. What love.

Remember what life is about, that it is about love and the giving of it.

Amid business deals and exchange of money, love is not always easy to see nor is it always easy for love to prevail as it is in the world.

Now let's speak of the giving of service among friends.

When one is generous, it is easy to see the love. When one's giving is squeezed by the need for exchange of money, then love isn't so easy to see.

Sometimes love has to be declared, if not in words, then in deed.

When you mean to do a good deed, it is better not to charge for it. When you charge for it, then it is business. When you charge, money is what you are asking for. When money is charged, the person you gave service to considers the debt paid. He paid money. You may want to be paid in gratitude.

It works better when the person who offers a good deed does not ask for payment. Then the receiver has room to be generous. When a price is set, there is cut-off rather than expansion.

Here we come to the subject of conditions. When conditions enter the giving of a gift, then the gift becomes a barter and the gift is no longer a gift.

When you are in the position of giving, then give. When there are cords attached to your giving, you have not given. You have made a deal.

Loaning someone money is not a gift. In order for money to be a gift, you have to give it. Half-given isn't a gift.

What We are talking about here is generosity, and we are talking about communication.

It is better that transactions be clear. Blurry lines are not clear. A mixed bag is not clear. In life, it matters to make things clear. First of all, of course, you have to be clear yourself. Be clear that when you charge, you are charging, not giving, or you are giving with one hand, and taking back with the other.

When it comes to giving a service among friends, it is better to give than to charge for it. Give, or don't give.

Now let us address communication. Let matters in life be clear from the outset. Make yourself clear. Make understanding mutual.

It cannot be taken for granted that there is complete understanding between two parties. How wonderful when two parties can communicate what they feel. Of course, it would be better if two parties can become one in understanding and one in giving.

In business, it is important that information is shared and understood. Among friends, it is essential. It is essential. It is essential in order that the friendship remain.

Is not friendship one of the items on your list that contributes to heartache? Friendships do not have to be kept at all costs. Some friendships become like the waves of the ocean that wash up on shore.

Friendship is to give happiness not unhappiness. It is not friendship at all costs.

At the same time, gravitate towards friendships that are without effort. Do not expect too much nor let too much be expected of you. Friendships are not meant to be debt-filled. Friendships are not meant to be a balance sheet.

Give where it is happiness for you to give. Unless you give with happiness, it is not giving nor is it friendship. The same goes for receiving. Receive where it is happiness for you to receive. Unless you receive with happiness, it is not receiving.

Giving and receiving are meant to be golden, not entangled.

Whether you see Me as separate or as part of Everything, I want you to be aware that We are in tandem, I with you, and you with Me. I never tire of you. I never turn away from you, not in the slightest. You are so Mine, and I am so yours, that I cannot tell Us apart, one from the other. As We linger with each other, We don't care about any demarcations. We blend together as One. Who cares Which is Which. I care not at all about descriptions and delineations. Let Us just be One, One in Love, One strong Oneness of Love. We are respondents of love and initiators of it.

Love is Our aura. Love is Our breath. Love is Our Being. Love is all there is, and We are the Love shining across the firmament for all to inhale, for all to grow on, for all to be submerged in, overcome with, full of, distributed with, contemplated with, inundated with, blasted with, embraced with, covered with, inseparable from, established in, caressed in, adored and adoring in, love like cymbals in a parade.

Yes, We are love on parade.

We are a violin of love, a tube of love, a beat of love, a drum of love, love ignited and love evident like a comet across the sky, integrating all hearts, sublimating life, resuscitating love, priming love, interacting love, simplifying love, love as love, love known and love caught, love impossible to be strayed from, love invincible, love the rule and never an exception, love incepted and flourishing, love weaving in and out of the DNA of the world, of yours, of Mine, of everyone's.

Loving leading, love following, love united, love loving, love inspiring and inspired, love of life, love of angels on Earth masquerading as human beings, love reverberating, love holding court, love sweeping the nations.

You are independent. That you rely on Me doesn't mean you are dependent upon Me. I am dependable, and so are you. You can rely on Me. You can know I am always with you. Even when it's a gauntlet in life you seem to run through, I am with you. You cannot be without Me. Whatever desolation you seem to face, I am with you. I am with you heart and soul.

You can also rely on yourself. You do not know yourself. Know yourself, and you will rely on yourself more. Too often you emphasize what you see missing in yourself rather than all that you encompass. Too often, you may not have awareness of who and what you are. Your picture of yourself may be so incomplete, so vagrant, so inept that you forget Truth..

You are not inept. It is your picture of yourself that is inept. Your vision is inept. Not you. Your vision. Your awareness. Your tribute to what I have made is marginal. It may have been hammered into you that you are not worth much, and you believe it. Your beliefs can change. Make leaps forward in your view of yourself.

You are a God-made creature. I am responsible for you, and you are responsible for yourself. I made you in My image. I did not make the image in your mind that you carry of yourself.

I made you beautiful. Anything less that you think of yourself is mis-thought, mis-held, mistaken. This is the mistake of the century. You have mistaken yourself for less than you are. And this misperception of yourself must change. You must change it. It is time now to believe in yourself and know the power that is yours. First your vision has to rise high so that you may come to know the glory of that which I have made.

You are not less than your neighbor. You are not less than the mightiest. You are the mightiest. You are My begotten thought. You are not misbegotten. You are My holiness set to the music of Earth. You are My magnificence. Never mind what you have thought of yourself. Think of yourself now in the light which I present to you now.

Value yourself as you value Me. I am inside you. Whatever greatness you see outside of yourself, it is placed in you. It is well-placed in you. You are a vision I had, and My vision is high. Therefore, you are high. You are on high.

Get up off the floor of life and touch the treetops. Touch the portal to Heaven. Touch the stars. Touch Me in your heart.

You are not your body. You are not your mind. You are your heart, and your heart is big, and your heart is vast, and you are vast, and what you encompass is vast. You are Vastness itself propelling itself across the Universe. You take Me with you, and together We somersault the Universe, and together We weave the sky across the Universe, and We weave Truth across the horizon, and We weave all the hearts in the world, and We and the supposed they and the supposed you are the Masters of Love and Life, and We are more than that.

We are united in a common bond of Beingness. We are united. We are seemingly beyond your comprehension. Comprehend that you are more than you know, and life is more than you know, and life is good and life is for you, and you are the light you are seeking. Find yourself, beloved, find yourself, and parts will become whole as you fly across into realms that are waiting for you.

The sun always comes through. You can rely on it. You do not worry when there is no sun on a cloudy day. You know the sun is there behind the clouds. You know that the bright sun will always show up, just as you know that spring follows winter. You can rely on much on Earth, and you rely on it. You trust. You have had experience with this trust.

In life, when you are disappointed, and you feel that I am not here for you, remember the sun that shows up. The sun may show up quietly, almost unnoticed, and yet the sun always shines brightly again.

Know that you can rely on Me too.

Sometimes you are in a room with the curtains drawn and you don't see the sun. That is how it is in daily life when you may feel that not only are you unable to see evidence of My love for you - that is one thing - but even more dismaying, that I am not there. I am always here, and I am always here for you. You may feel that everything is going wrong. That is because you cannot see.

If you could open the curtains, if you could see beyond what you see or don't see, you would see My love shining for you, and, beloveds, I don't shine aimlessly. I never overlook you or pass you by. Through thick and thin, I am with you, yet you may see heartache after heartache and not see My presence.

There is always something going on beyond your perception. Know that whatever appears that seems like tragedy to you, there is a bigger and higher purpose beyond what you presently see. One day you will see what you see now as tragedy from a greater vantage, and you will see the connectedness of life, and you will see all that there is to see, and you will see in a different light. You will no longer cast certain events as tragic. You will no longer feel desperate.

All that you presently see as dire, you will see the okayness of that. You will see that life has ever been shining.

My dears, life on Earth is taken so seriously. Even as you know life on Earth is temporal, you take it as if it were the most serious thing in the world. I well understand that life and death are huge to you, yet even in the darkness you may see around you, there is light, and the light is a given.

Life on Earth as it appears, by its very nature, is impermanent. Life on Earth isn't everything. Life on Earth isn't the end-all and be-all. Neither life nor death is a travesty. That which is impermanent doesn't rule. It seems to, yet life unfolds itself, and a story is told. Take the story in stride.

You are not your story anymore than you are your body. You are the very sunlight even when you don't see it. Your perception, as important as it is to you, is not everything. Perception is only perception. Perception is of the Earth. Knowingness is of Heaven.

In Earth life, you take an elevator, and you get off the elevator. In Eternity, you have full vision. There are no curtains to curtail your vision. In Eternity, you see there is no end whatsoever. No end, and no pain.

What is seen as tragedy, what is seen as death, is as much illusion as the whole screenplay you have been part of. The whole movie you have watched is only a movie, and movies are over. Life is eternal. Life is always. The picture show is an event shown on the permanent field of life. In Truth, there are no goodbyes. Earth life tells you that you are being separated. Earth life is like a decal you are pulling off. It covered up that which lies behind and beyond all life on Earth.

God said:

How can there be darkness when I AM? How can there be darkness when I Am Light, and I shine? Only in perception can you feel submerged in darkness. Only in misperception, beloveds. You misread the map you hold in your hand.

Your heart is light. If you see darkness, you are not seeing. You have closed your eyes to Truth. Light is Truth. Darkness is a slip. Perhaps the speed of light has been too quick for you to grasp it.

I blow My breath on your heart now. I take away the heaviness of despair and replace it with the light from My own heart.

Remember it is for you to rise and not stay where you are. In fact, I will say to you that you are risen. When you feel yourself slipping and sliding, that is illusion. Illusion has its attractions. This doesn't necessarily mean that the attractions are true or that they give you value.

We could say that the illusion of darkness is a form of ego. Ego will go at you in many ways. It may tell you that no one has suffered as you have suffered, as if suffering makes you special.

You are already special. You are parked in My heart. Return your thoughts to My heart.

Doldrums seem real. They assail your heart. Yet there is no absence of light. Open your eyes.

Furthermore, here is a new world before you. You are ready to take off. You are going to be flying high. You are about ready to ascend. And where are you ascending to? Right where you have always been, only you wore dark glasses and didn't see.

"The room is dark," you say.

"Take off your dark glasses," I say.

You take off your dark glasses. Then you say: "Why, it is light. I am in the Light."

You took off your dark glasses, and then you saw you had landed in the light of Heaven.

Now you are ready to take off in a flight that takes you to where you are right now.

Life on Earth seems real to you. Too real to you. The solid sod under your feet is not real. It is not your foundation. The bright light of Heaven is your foundation. Your foundation is not beneath your feet. Your foundation is Heavenward.

Naturally, there is no above and below in Heaven. There is just Beingness, and we can call Beingness a Great Light. It is an eternal light. There are no blips to it. It is a light that stays on. It is not a dim night light. It is the bright light of the Sun, and you are that Bright Light of the Sun.

I cast My eyes on you, and I see the Bright Sunlight of your soul. Come see with Me. Come, look through My eyes and see what I see when I look at you. I see you before My eyes.

See through My eyes, and you will let go of darkness. At first, I was going to say that you would vanquish darkness, yet there is no darkness to vanquish, only Light to be seen.

This light that you are is not a glowing ember. It is the full light of Heaven. You are a carrier of this Bright Light. You are this Bright Light. It carries you!

You are never out of the Light. Time is fashionable in the world, yet only Eternity exists. Eternity is all light, and you are light, and all is light, and I am Light. Light can never be dark. Only when you cover your eyes can you imagine anything but Light, for Light I AM, and Light you ARE.

God said:

No longer are you to scold yourself. Now you are to uphold yourself. Even if you drop a treasured dish, congratulate yourself. Be happy. One less dish to wash, to think of, to worry about. Think more of yourself than you do a dish.

Think more of yourself. Favor yourself. Listen to this, beloveds. The less you fault yourself, the less will others fault you.

Have you not pounced on your perceived faults? Haven't you done that? I am telling you that you have overdone that. You have faulted yourself way too much.

You may complain that other people discount you. You have discounted yourself. You have been like that figure in Greek mythology who climbed the mountain only to slip back time and time again. He never could quite reach the top. In your perception, that's you in a nutshell.

Now you are going to be a great friend to yourself. Would you talk to your good friend the way you talk to yourself? Are you your own good friend, or are you an instigator?

A friend doesn't probe into what is wrong with you. A friend doesn't say to you some of the remarks you make to yourself. Tell yourself:

"Hey, you are good. When you fall down, you jump right back up. You are bright, and you stand tall. You are a blessing. You are a good guy. Most of all, you are good to yourself. And so you are good to others. Of course, God says there are no others. Well, then, you are a leader of the world, and leaders don't berate themselves. You have no time for that. You are busy on other matters.

"A leader in the world is a leaper! And you are one who leaps to the occasion. You always come up running. No grass grows on you. If you fall down, you leap up and keep on going. You are a great resource to yourself.

"You have a great attitude. It is such a pleasure to be with someone like you. I want to be like you.

"You know that if you find fault with yourself, you are clinging to the past. There is no reason for you to hit yourself. Let bygones be bygones.

"If you are keeping a list of errors you made, throw out that list. I tell you this as your friend. Compile a list of the beautiful things you have done and are going to do. The first thing on your list is that you will encourage yourself at every turn. Just the way I, your good friend, talk to you, this is how you will talk to yourself. No longer will you kick yourself. Now that is a foolish thing to do. Never make that mistake again. Never get down on yourself again.

"From now on, you are going to be your own buddy. You will be cheerful about yourself and others and everything. So what if you made an error. Let it go. No matter what you've done, let it go. Let it retreat. Let it recede. No longer belabor it. Even love your errors. The minute you make an error, you graduate from it. Congratulations.

"When you make an error, you have a tiger by the tail, and so you move forward in life. You move lickety-split. You are moving forward and have no time to recount the past whatever its state was.

"You are one who leaps over tall buildings! This is for you to keep in mind. Not lapses, not trials, not errors. Carry yourself high. You are a champion. Chin up," you say to yourself.

What you are doing as you grow in life is creating an empty space! Fullness is emptiness, beloveds.

When you are attached, you are full of expectations. You are full of more than expectations. You are full of your ideas of what must happen, or should have happened, ought to have happened, and you are attached to your ideas which, in your mind, become rules, become standards, become sacred, holy, sanctified, authorized, ordained. You compare what you insist on with what actually occurs. Of course, in so doing, you are barking up the wrong tree.

You would limit life. You would reduce possibilities. You might remove the idea of possibilities altogether and stick with certainties, certain prescribed certainties approved by you.

There is more than one road to travel.

You have opinions, and opinions change. Furthermore, they have to change. Life in the world is all about change.

Through change, you grow.

You want to create an empty space in your life where you are unstuck from the past. The past includes your past ideas. How you were brought up or not brought up is no excuse now. The past is not an Open, Sesame. The past is a closed sesame. The past is more like your grandmother's attic all filled with old furniture that really needs to be dusted off, needs to be useful, needs to be given away or sold in a store rather than stuck in the attic.

We can translate empty space to mean you are not attached. All the spider webs are gone. You are cleaned out. You have purged yourself of the past and the talons with which the past may have kept you in thrall. The past does not really exist. Just the same, you may keep it close to you, the past like a refrain in your head, the past like an oldie, the past like a finger poked into your ribs, the past like a plug that keeps things in and doesn't make room for new things to come in. Yesterday's newspaper.

This empty space We can think of as a cushion of silence. The acoustics are good. The guitar is silent. You are filled with silence where all newness can quietly enter. Newness is motion. Newness can swing by where there is space for it.

However, when there is empty space, there is a tendency to fill it up, and, so, your mind becomes tied up, wrapped up in thoughts, tightly bound in thoughts, filled to the brim with thoughts so you can't even think! There isn't room for more. You may be frightened of emptiness, and so you fill up your mind with more thoughts, sometimes heavy thoughts, and you fill up your life with extensions of your thoughts, thoughts heaped upon thoughts, and you are certain that full everything is better than empty anything, and, yet, everything you desire exists in empty space. Make room for your dreams to come true. Make room for life to enter a new dimension. Be open-minded. Be open-hearted. Declutter your mind so your heart may open and life begin.

Goings-on are not quite the same as life. Life isn't only goings-on. There is more to life than its activity. There is more to life than what you did over the weekend or what you are going to do next weekend.

There is more to life than you have imagined. Allow that empty space in your mind, and all will arise from the depths. New-born thoughts will arise. Magic will arise. Happiness will arise. You will arise.

Above all, don't feel sorry for yourself. Don't. Just don't. Smile instead. Feeling sorry for yourself is like sitting in an oil spill and not being able to get up. Better even to feel angry than to feel pity for yourself.

You can give many reasons why you feel sorry for yourself. When you view your life in a pitying way, you can have a long list. You can have a list as long as a long scarf.

Feeling sorry for yourself is like sucking your thumb. You can suck your thumb for only so long. Self-pity is something to outgrow.

The thing is that feeling sorry for yourself, when you're in that frame of mind, doesn't get you anywhere. It digs you deeper in to where you don't want to be. Stay away from self-pity like the plague. Self-pity is a plague. It is a torrential display of self-centeredness that you melt yourself into. You melt yourself into tears of a kind of gooeyness.

You are not one to be pitied nor are you to be one who pities another. No longer stew yourself in pity. Pitying, feeling sorry for yourself or another, is a form of indolence.

Of course, you can make a good case for self-pity. Self-pity sets you apart from everyone and from yourself. Self-pity says you have suffered and that you are suffering still. Self-pity may say you cannot get over feeling sorry for yourself. Self-pity may say you can cry tears forever. Self-pity may say you are the most sorrowful person in the world.

You may weep because you no longer have your parents. You may weep for your youth. You may weep for love lost. You may weep because you have not loved or loved enough. You may weep because joy has been wrested from your hand. You may weep because you are afraid of life and living of it.

How clear can you be when you look at yourself and life through tears?

You know what to do.

When you weep for love lost, be glad for the joy you had before it was lost.

When you weep that your parents are no longer on Earth, be glad you had your parents while you had them.

And if you were an orphan and had no parents of your own and lived in an orphanage, be glad you weathered it, and, now, no longer see yourself as an orphan.

For every sighting of self-pity, turn it over and allocate that which to be glad for. You can do it. You have to do it. Nobody can do it for you. Do not wait. Abandon self-pity this minute.

Come on now, if you saw two signs, one called Self-Pity and another called To Be Glad For, why would you choose self-pity? Self-pity is not a badge of honor. There is no virtue in it.

If you must feel sorry for yourself, do it for just a minute and then turn off the recording that attracts self-pity. Put on another CD. I am talking about your thoughts, beloveds. Thoughts bring on self-pity. The conditions themselves do not. Self-pity doesn't happen without a green light from your thoughts. No longer go fishing for self-pity. No matter what, you are not to indulge in feeling sorry for yourself or anyone.

You can look at emptiness in your life, or you can look at where empty spaces are filled in. You don't have to look at the holes. You do not have to underline them. You do not have to put a circle around them and an exclamation mark.

You are not here on Earth for self-pity. You are here on Earth for Me
