Was Melchisedec a Priest? Melchi10

Was Melchisedec a Priest?
Hebrews 6: 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, [even] Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
We know it was through Abraham the promised generations were called unto the Lord and it was through Moses that the priestly system was introduced. No doubt after Noah people did know God and worship Him but the sacrifice system was not known and thus there was no question of a priestly system existing. The duty of a Priest is to make sacrificial offerings to the Lord and broker peace between man (sacrifice offered for) and God. After the sacrificial system was explained through Moses were Priests appointed and Aaron was the first amongst them. So by what angle was King Melchisedec a Priest?

Secondly we need to understand the Romans also did not have a king system, they followed a senate / council system. The Senate was the governing and advisory assembly of the aristocracy in the ancient Roman Republic. It was not an elected body, but one whose members were appointed by the consuls (highest ranking officials from the armed forces and public services - magistrates), and later by the censors. Therefore the Greek term basileus - ‘king’ used here did not mean actual king but used for a prince or leader of the people it comes from the root word sole of the foot. The term king in Greek occurs only twice that too as a name of a person (Melchi - my king)
Another factor we need to note is Jesus as man was not called the King of Peace but called Prince of Peace. Even in Revelations we find Him addressed as Prince/Chief of Princes (us) which is mistranslated as King of Kings in some translations. It is the Lord (not man) who alone is King. We can say Jesus as Christ as King but Jesus as man as Prince, thus on Judgment Day He comes as arch (chief) or leader of those saints transformed as Angels.
Melchisedec did bring bread and wine (grape juice) which was the standard food for the people and this should be equated to the emblems Lord Table, the bread which King Melchisedec bought was not matstsah (unleavened bread) one used at the Lord’s Table.
King Melchisedec was not without father, without mother, without beginning, without end, a Priest forever and Son of God. It is only when we actually translate his name which means King of Righteousness (symbolizing the Lord) we will understand whom it refers to. Abram did not give his tithe to a man but gave to the Lord, the man simply received it in His name.

About 2 months back when I had sent a message on this same matter, someone in one of the FB groups made a comment, ‘was Melchisedec Abraham’s Pastor to receive the tithe’?
Abram tithed Abraham did not. Children of Jacob, children of Israel did tithe, but Israel did not. Those who are led by the Lord do not give just 10% but as the Lord leads, that is why NT does not talk much on it. Are we of Abram or of Abraham? Children (spiritual) tithe those led by the Lord do as the Lord leads.
We are called to be Heavenly Priests according to the order of the Lord and not earthly Priest according to the order of Aaron.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are eternal and only in You is eternal life. We are called to live eternal in You, that is why only in Heaven can we have access to eternal life for the Tree/River of Life comes from You. Lord we pray we so not seek an earthly Priesthood which is temporary but a Heavenly Priesthood that is eternal...

This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Hebrew 7:2-4
2 To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;
3 Without father, without mother, without descent, having neither beginning of days, nor end of life; but made like unto the Son of God; abideth a priest continually.
4 Now consider how great this man [was], unto whom even the patriarch Abraham gave the tenth of the spoils.

Hebrews 7:11 If therefore perfection were by the Levitical priesthood, (for under it the people received the law,) what further need [was there] that another priest should rise after the order of Melchisedec, and not be called after the order of Aaron?
Revelation 17:14 These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them: for he is Lord of lords, and King of kings: and they that are with him [are] called, and chosen, and faithful.
