TRIBUTE for DR BILL SHEEKS

DEAR BROS AND SISTERS greetings IN THE NAME OF THE INFINITE SERVANT JESUS:

I would like to honor a dear brother for helping me establish the Christmas Basket Program in Bergama ,Turkey about 4 Years ago. You have all helped tremendously in getting the program executed but had not been for this one person it would have difficult for me in spite of the Lord putting it on my heart to do this.

When I wrote the memo that the Lord wanted me to give each family a Christmas basket like I received as a kid in the South Cleveland COG, a brother wrote me and said he wanted to help me get the money to do the program.

It was Bro Bill Sheeks. Personally, he canvassed his contacts and received about $13000 which lasted us for 2 years. We were able to give each family a box of food for 100 families that we were ministering to. This is commendable because in 2 years we got about 50 gypsies/Turks to pray the sinners prayer.

To date we have 100 plus persons to pray the sinners prayer. we have about 25 strong Christians. The greatest effect it has had is in a city named Menemen north of Smyrna and has a very strong group of Christians. The Lord has strengthened this village. They know what Christmas is all about. They know how to greet you "Noelin kutlu olsin" Merry Christmas.

We give bro Sheeks credit for making the program effective for he knew as Jesus knew fill their bellies and invite them to serve the Lord. It works brothers and sisters. The program will continue because they know what Christmas is all about and it is effective.

This is why we pay tribute to the servant of God Bro Bill Sheeks who went to heaven last week.

Bro Sheeks has blessed my life and create in my heart a giving nature to see churches developed. I MISS HIM desperately.

Thank you Bro Sheeks for helping us: from

eddie,chita,dinko and the bulgarian team

Dear brothers and sisters : greetings in the name THE Infinite Servant Jesus of Nazareth.
This is time for me   to spend Easter service with our believers in Bergama, Kinik, Dikili ,Helvaci Koy and Menemen, Turkey. I leave 11 April for one month. My overseer Bro Dinko of Bulgaria will meet me there also to celebrate Easter with our believers

We will explain what Easter is all about and serve communion.

Also the Lord has been dealing with me about establishing a church in Menemen where we have believers that are stronger than the 4 other areas. I have written about this, talked about it till I am blue in the face. Apparently I have no credibility with some people. Everyone else affiliated with the COG have left; I am really the only one left and have been in and out of Bergama for about 13 years. Its time to stop talking and take action I do believe.

We must set up a church for the following reasons.

   1. We have sheep with a Shepherd.

    2. I heard or I thought I heard the voice of bro Hill  in an interview
say to the effect" in unreached countries we must teach the indigent to lead because we cannot find people to go there" I agree! In fact I had made that very statement in letters to you in the past. We MUST establish a church in Menemen where we have strong believers and teach them how to run a church.
     3. In the last month I have been in 3 churches who were saying:
WE MUST establish a church to care for the lambs ; otherwise they will be lost. WE MUST!!!!
The third church I was in the pastor preached on Luke 5: 1-11. I nearly went to sleep until he got to verse 4 Jesus talking to Simon"Launch out into the DEEP and let down your nets for a catch" and verse 10 "Do not be afraid from now on you will catch men" . Folks the Lord awakened me and I started writing  saying to my self " the Lord wants me to fulfill HIS WILL by establishing the church in Menemen which will be the first COG in all of Turkey.  Awesome sermon pastor
We will not only celebrate Easter but as the Lord leads we will make EVERY effort to fulfill the WILL of the LORD. WE don't expect the police to bother us for they are use to our presence; but Satan will set up road blocks I am sure. We are use to his obstacles. The Lord told me in prayer last Year " I AM going to dethrone Satan" Rev chap 2.

Dear beloved supporters this is our agenda and we will as we prepare and during our journey keep  you up to date on our activities. Pray for us. We don't know how we are going to do all of this . We need a lot of help from God and HIS angels to guide us and protect us. May God give me strength to do His WILL

Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES - Page 2 Empty Re: Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES

Post  Admin Mon 16 Dec 2013, 3:13 pm

Dear brothers and sisters greetings and Merry Christmas.

First of all thanks to all who support without which we could not do our job. Thank you for keeping our feet on the ground and in the homes.

My heart is heavy today because the couple working in Bergama has resigned. We have sheep without a shepherd except Jesus.

There is no better way to start my report than presenting you these lyrics which conveys the essence of our work in Bergama. Let's read it together. I am sure you have read these but let's put our hearts in it today. Don't scan read every word prayerfully.

My house is full, but my field is empty
There is peace and contentment in my Father's house today,
Lots of food on His table and no one turned away.
There is singing and laughter as the hours pass by,
But a hush calms the singing as the Father sadly cries,

My house is full, but my field is empty,
Who will go and work for Me today.
It seems my children want to stay around my table,
But no one wants to work my fields,
No one wants to work my fields.

Push away from the table.
Look out through the windowpane,
Just beyond the house of plenty
Lies a field of golden grain.
And it's ripe unto harvest,
But the reapers, where are they?
In the house,
Oh, can't the children hear
the Father sadly say,

My house is full, but my field is empty,
Who will go and work for Me today.
It seems my children want to stay around my table,
But no one wants to work my fields,
No one wants to work my fields.

The song above "My House is Full, But My Field is Empty"
was written by Lanny Wolfe

I am hounded by the field from Bergama (Pergamos ) to Izmir(Smyrna ) is ripe for the harvest .
1. We have cultivated the land (population)
2. We are received cordially among the people
3. We have some mature leaders whose heart are filled with Jesus.
4. We have 10-20 people in a prayer meeting .
5.people are getting saved. We wait for the outpouring of the Spirit.
6.we have some good supporters- churches that want us to succeed.
7. We have made friends and the police don't bother us much more. The most is check our passports and drive off.
8. The Lord has said "I AM going to unseat satan"
9. Of course not all is pink and roses. There is a battle when satan is losing grip of the people.
10 . We have a condo fully furnished..
11. We have at least 125 who have said the sinners prayer and about 25 who are head over heels in love with Jesus.
12. We have videos - lesson plans to assist in evangelizing.

We just want someone to work the fields and is willing to give ALL - heart, soul and mind to the work of the Kingdom.
As you rejoice this Christmas remember the baby Jesus came to save the poor gypsy and recalcitrant Turk from their sins. He was born under conditions that are poorer than any gypsy I have seen. The sheep get better treatment than our Savior.

Oh ! Dear one let the Holy Spirit touch your heart as He has touched mine and bro Bishop Dinko and others and SUBMIT to His direction and join us in this Holy endeavor

Blessings from our Turkish gypsy and Turk believers and non believers. They said specifically thanks for the Christmas presents.

Eddie who loves you and the COG

Eddie Brooks posted over at Facebook
This photo was taken in Turkey the Holy Spirit is present
This photo was taken in pitch dark in the country side while we giving away Christmas baskets, Christmas stockings, reading glasses, baby blankets etc. We did not create the situation. Why the flames appeared above their heads we do not know except it shows the Lord's approval of what we were doing. Taking care of the poor...

Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES - Page 2 Empty Re: Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES

Post  Admin Sat 16 Nov 2013, 9:28 pm

Dear brothers and sisters in the Lord Jesus

I hold dear my heart recently the Lord impressed me in prayer

" I AM going to unseat Satan"(Rev Chap 2)

This is what I hold to as I prepare for my  journey to Bergama one week from today.
I addition to what we took before we are taking this time 70 lbs of red Christmas stockings ,cards and candy sticks and candy to put therein. We have tons of kids waiting for us.(thanks to Stewart Rd  Monroe COG of Monroe Mi)
We have 150 lbs of baby blankets and caps to warm the baby gypsies.

We must prepare our Christmas baskets after arriving. This is the joy of each family. This is a means to get un reached people to hear the story of Christmas. Muslims come to receive one of these

The enemy has started working against us. I rely on the highlighted sentence above to get us through these obstacles.  Pray for us because the more successful we become the harder Satan works and the more obstacles  he generates. pray, pray, pray and then pray. We have multitudinous problems of which we need a concentration of praying.

Now for me  the most critical concern is my wife is having heart surgery. We serve a healing God. Pray that when the surgeon gets into the heart and coronaries that he cannot find a problem and her BP will abate. She is a medical missionary and the Lord can resolve all the problems and make her well in the name of the HOLY ONE Jesus of Nazareth. amin ve amin Her name is Chita. Speak it to the Lord vociferously please .

blessings from our people in Bergama and surrounding villages and our Bulgarian COG  contingent who will join us led by my dear Bishop Dinko.

Hope you feel my emotions and pray accordingly

many blessings from me personally

Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES - Page 2 Empty Re: Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES

Post  Admin Fri 18 Oct 2013, 6:08 pm

Dear bro's and sis' S greetings in the name of Jesus who Was, Is and Is to come.
I cannot emphasize enough the warmth we received from the people as we visited the prayer groups. I have written about this/
I have not been remiss in writing intentionally because I fell and broke my hand. No sympathy please just prayers. Going to a Turkish hospital is similar to what we can expect in OB care I believe. I am not a specialist nor politician. Just explanation for not writing.
We are ready to go,in Bergama ,for the Christmas baskets and appointments have been made. I am presently in the states getting more baby blankets and Christmas stockings and being treated for my broken hand. No problems I will be on the plane 22 Nov.
We have two Bulgarians there presently visiting with the prayer groups
showing videos and having meetings. By law they are 3 months in country and leave for three months. We are evangelizing from Ayvalik south of the Dardanelle to Menemen  north of old Smyrna(Izmir)
In Phoenix  a COG has invited us to talk about our work in Turkey. They are paying our way.
In closing let me say one thing. Now I do not profess to be a prophet or guru or possess any of the precious gifts but Mark 16 says go go go which is  to all of us. In my going prayer is essential without which we would be a failure. The signs will follow. No time iterate  the multiplicity of the power of God manifested in Turkey.
It was 13 years before we had our first conversion of an 84 yr old lady "NIHAL" who 3 months later found a new home with the Lord. Be persistent, obedient, faithful, and be willing to go the road alone sometimes. Many Muslim friends  have been most helpful to me fully realizing my agenda.
In prayer recently I was impressed by the Lord "I am going to unseat Satan" I went to the scripture and extracted the below speaking to the church in Pergamos" now Bergama. In reflection we have made progress: at least 100 converts. thousands of friends, you helped us to buy a van ($20,000)  and $8000 plus for our Christmas Program and all the things cited above. do I hear a praise God.
We have penetrated Islam that has not been for at least 1000 years. you keep our feet on the ground in our area of evangelization. we understand there are "Christians" somewhere around but not heard from. So many have helped us. It would be unfair for me to name one person that has helped us the most except the lady in FL that sends us faithfully $10 every month.  Thank you sister.
Do you think the Lord is true to HIS word "I am going to unseat Satan"?
YES YES YES YES do I get another YES?
Blessings from our Turk and Gypsy believers
eddie, chita and the Bulgarian team.
rvelation 2:13. KJV
I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas wasmy faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth

Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES - Page 2 Empty Re: Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES

Dear brothers and sisters in The Lord .

This is progress report no 5 letting you know how our planning is going for Christmas. We will continue to let you know. You deserve this report because you have helped to make it possible

    1. We have already selected and placed our orders of 100 baskets beginning o/a 28 Nov. The program will consist of the story of Christmas. And  Àltar call .Then we will distribute the baskets

      2. We will have another meeting with all groups giving AWAY Christmas stockings and baby blankets and baby caps, this is an exciting time when we teach the kinds not only to receive but give.

       3. We have continued our prayer meetings showing a teaching video before we worship and give further teaching. Produced by bro Fred Nichols

         4. I believe the story of Christmas is how we put Zafer's garage in a working conditions in spite of the rains which have begun in our area.  Continue to pray for our brother whom the devil is attacking all the time..
Higher Hqs has apparently denied our request for help. I was blessed to spend a couple of dialysis jtreatman with Zafer praying and reading scripture

thanks be to God the miracle of Christmas has arrived for bro Zafer earlier than Christmas.

Thanks be to God and to you dear brothers and sisters who have given to make a joyful time for our Turk and gypsy believers.

Bro Dinko overseer of Bulgaria will have teaching summit wit our leaders.

I am on my way back yo the states to bring other Christmas items that we will share with the people.

As we pray for you pray for us. There is no greater service

Blessings from Eddie, Chita and the Bulgarian team

Ps. Thanks to you praise God our work is moving in the right direction.

Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES - Page 2 Empty Re: Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES

Post  Admin Mon 30 Sep 2013, 7:53 pm

Dear Brothers and sisters In The Lord greetings.
During the last two days I have devoted my time with Zafer when he is not on dialysis treatment. We pray and read scripture.

Zafer came into our lives when he received one of the Christmas baskets the first year we started the program. When I returned for Easter he had full blown kidney failure. We started minister to him and he accepted The Lord and his wife did also. We requested prayer many times as you we'll know

Then recently I wrote the below words in a memo.
"We have prayed; but I am in a dilemma as to what to do on the Zafer situation besides praying. Let me enumerate.

1. Of course kidney failure

2. During the summer he had an appendectomy which is still bothering him. Afraid to return to hospital for fear the doctors will err worse.

3. 2 hours after I left him last week his garage enclosed by a building collapsed
His son escaping with his life. Only his building collapsed down to the ground. Only walls remain . A calamity in his life. We prayed and socialized commiserating about his situation. I don't know how this man can handle it. It is really pathetic.
His son was/is working to support them. Now no garage.
4. I Have not adequately explained his dire situation. We pray and read scripture.etc etc "

We are working on a possible solution."

We have prayed and referred it to higher powers than I for help to reconstruct his garage. Pictures are on FB . I just left him helping to get rid of the debri inside what is left of the garage so the son can get inside the garage to work. Now The son is fixing cars in the street.. Zafer is on dialysis machines and can't work.

Please continue to pray for his healing and that monetary assistance will be provided. He can only help verbally.
Lord Jesus we put this in your hands for a solution. We don't have the estimated $25000 to reconstruct the two bay garage.... But you do!!!!!

Blessing from Zafer, our Turk and our gypsy brothers and sisters.

  • I found an old Bible my Dad has. There was a newspaper clipping from 3/23/67 from the Savannah Vignette. Entitled "Slip of Paper" Mrs. Marjorie Bruce, 606 East 58th St. recently went through a tiny old Bible, published in 1858, and came across a yellowed slip of paper tucked between worn pages. "On it, written in meticulous, old-fashioned script, was a list of comforting Biblical guidelines used by its former owner as an assurance to a richer, happier life." Mrs. Bruce said. "Perhaps all of us are in greater need of these Scriptural texts today than even those of that so distant and less complicated past." The script, titled "How to Use the Bible," offers these guides:

When in sorrow, read John 14
When men fail you, Read Psalm 27
If you are discouraged, read Isaiah 40
When you have sinned, read Psalm 51
When you are worried, read Matthew 6:19-34
Win in danger, read Psalm 91
    When depressed, read Psalm 34
When God seems far away, read Psalm 129
When doubts assail you, try John 7:17
When lonely or fearful, read Psalm 23
When your faith needs stirring, there's Hebrews 11
When you tend to forget your blessings, turn to Psalm 103
When the spirit is heavy, read Romans 3:31-39
When you lack courage for a task, read Joshua 1
When the world seems bigger than God, read Psalm 90
When you grow bitter or critical, read Corinthians 13
When your Christian assurance falters, read Romans 8:1-30
To share Paul's secret of happiness, read Colossians 3:12-17
When your prayers grow narrow and selfish, read Psalm 67
When preoccupied with worldly goods, read Mark 10:17-31
For greater compatibility with men, read Paul's rules in Romans 12
Let Jesus give you His own idea of prayer In Luke 11:1-13 and Matthew 6:5-15
And to help keep all these active and ever present in your memory, follow Psalm 119:11

Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES - Page 2 Empty Re: Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES

Post  Admin Mon 09 Sep 2013, 9:23 am

AS I said before we would reach our goal  . Praise God for faithful servants of God that made it happen.
Bothers and sisters now that also we have  items and money for Christmas. In a few days  We are making our first journey to plan for our Christmas program and to continue our prayers meetings and seek to get soul saved. Agenda  for your prayers for us are below.

1. Thank all of your you for your contributions. Pray for those who gave and sacrificially gave that God will bless them.
2. Pray for our safe journey. Purpose is to take 75 lbs of baby blankets and caps that there will be no problems via customs.
3. As we prepare for the 100 Christmas baskets that we will be guided to the right items to be included.
4. Pray for the safe journey of our Bulgarian team that will assist us.
Brothers and sisters the scripture quoted below is the place we operate out of.

Rev Chapter 2: And to the angel of the church in Pergamos write; These things saith he which hath the sharp sword with two edges;
13 I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's seat is: and thou holdest fast my name, and hast not denied my faith, even in those days wherein Antipas was my faithful martyr, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
14 But I have a few things against thee, because thou hast there them that hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balac to cast a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed unto idols, and to commit fornication.
15 So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate.
16 Repent; or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will fight against them with the sword of my mouth.
17 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that over cometh will I give to eat of the hidden manna, and will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name written, which no man knoweth saving he that receiveth it.
This program has convinced me the Lord has every intent to unseat Satan from his throne in Pergamos. We are in a battle. Its 12 years sincewe have been struggling carrying the Light of Jesus from Thyiatira, Pergamos, the Dardanelle's down to Smyrna battling Satan on every front.  It has been before our arrival about 1000 years since the gospel was preached here. There are tours and a few believers living here and there but no evangelism. We are the essence of evangelism and the Light of Jesus.
This list below says I am not alone. More and more people are becoming aware of the need to support us to fight this battle. Thank you saints of God! You see the need (look at the names look I say look ! is God in this? I say YES it is God) and you  are helping to fund our work against the evil one. They are not giving to me but to the kingdom... Praise God. Whatever results come of this is to your credit. We are not going for a belly dance but a HOLY dance!!! There will be accountability

Before this you helped me buy a van which we have to deliver the Christmas baskets. Thank you. God is in this work . We just show up and the Holy Spirit does the work.

our heart rejoices and blessings form our Turk and Gypsy friends where what you are doing/ We will make a second trip to carry other items for Christmas.

Expect salvation of souls!!!!!! many ,many I say many .
s we pray for you pray for us. There is no greater service(Bro Gause)

Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES - Page 2 Empty Re: Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES

Post  Admin Thu 29 Aug 2013, 10:51 am

AGAIN LET ME SAY WE APPRECIATE ALL THAT EVERYONE HAS DONE. WE WANT YOU TO FOLLOW THE LORD'S LEADING. WE DONT MEAN TO BE PUSHY BUT WE NEED HELP.SO MANY HAVE HELPED AND WE THANK YOU FROM BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS.
Bro and Sis greetings in Jesus name. We need only $700 of the
$ 8000 to celebrate   Christmas   in the vicinity of Pergamos(Bergama) and Smyrna vicinity  Izmir, Turkey and Thyatira. Until we went to this area the people did not know the meaning of Christmas. We estimate we are the first to  have carried the Light of Jesus openly in at least 1000 years. Oh we have tourist but they don't hang around very long and they are reluctant to even mention Jesus as the God of the Universe. We are there  and we are not leaving till the Lord calls for us. hallelujah amin ve amin

Yesterday I got a call from one of the believers asking when I am coming back.  I wanted to cry. They are so hungry for the Gospel and Christian relationship

We have received  75-100 lbs of baby blankets and baby caps from Stewart Rd  Monroe Mi COG. Praise God. Thank you Bro and Sis Chapman and of course approval of Pastor Byrd. This group is so selfless AS YOU ARE. They have their own Medical mission program and still do what they do for us. Pray for them as you pray for us and as we pray for yall. We are all in this together. Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done

Additionally free of charge Stewart Rd Monroe Mi COG provide Christmas stockings, baby blankets  and reading glasses to help out our Christmas program.

We are still short of the small amount $ needed to give at least 100 families a Christmas basket and bread .  We don't want to be pushy just informative and let the Lord guide you. We will be accountable for every cent you send us.

Once a year we celebrate Christmas in various ways. We try to go to every place we had gone thru the year and do something special. In order to do this we have to generate extra money to buy Christmas baskets. This is separate from paying our workers a form of a small salary and expenses for maintaining the van; gas etc.

We have about  $7300 of the $8000 we need . We are not sinking!!! But we are making progress. Just a little more help and we are ready to make our order in Sep 2013. Praise God.  We have had an increase of $125 since my last report. This is an increase; we  praise God for our faithful  friends, brother and sisters. We know with the Lord and your help we will reach our goal....just $700  more......Just $700 more.

Thank you and many blessings from the Gypsies and Turks who will receive these Christmas gifts.

we really thank you and bless you in the name of the Infinite Servant Jesus

Dear Brothers and Sisters greetings in Jesus name and thank you for your contributions.
I don't mean to be overly musshy but greatly grateful.  The COG people are the greatest people I know and very giving.
Since my last email and as an addendum to the message #8  Dear Bro and Sisters we had a couple of people and churches to double up their contribution as noted below. Praise God for their vision and help and I want to recognize them. Pastor Ritchie of Simi Valley has the vision and was equal with his support for the van. He is always giving unselfishly.
Simi Valley-New Beginnings Church Flshp 4 X.s
Torrance-Word for the World California 2 X.s

Blessings from our Turks and gypsy believers and unbelievers whom this will help to attract their attention to the LIGHT.

Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES - Page 2 Empty Re: Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES

Post  Admin Wed 17 Apr 2013, 8:20 pm

Dear friends we continue with our meetings utilizing our videos to increase faith and knowledge of our believers. Last night we were able to give two lessons.
Last evening a man who is in the Lord for a long time related how some of his friends questioned his faith in Christ. He went on to say the more lessons he gets and Christian material he reads the stronger he gets and he is able to answer the questions of his critics. Praise God for a true soldier of the cross.

Today we spent time with Zafer who is having complications with his kidney loss. We spent time in prayer developing our own prayer cloth, oil and reading scripture. When we finished we went to Zafer's home prayed again and penned the prayer cloth on his clothes. He was delighted for now he can look at the cloth knowing that the power of God is a part of his being.
I truly enjoy my time with Zafer. He is a kind gentleman who has an illness for which he has control. His only help is the Lord.
We had an awesome time with him and his wife. Pray for the healing of Zafer and his wife who is having problems with dealing with her husbands illness..

Praise be to God that were here to help him with prayer and support. You financial support keeps us here.

Blessings

Post  Admin Mon 01 Apr 2013, 7:19 pm

While awaiting the rest of the team I made a visit to the home of Zafer the one whose kidneys failed.
He was in good spirit and welcomed with both arms and a huge hug and kisses.
We prayed , read the crucixion of Christ, read the ressurection and prayed again thanking God for salvation.
We had communion. This is a slow teaching process using Paul's words he received from the Lord. . I Cor 11:24 -26. Every time I go thru this in Turkish with the Turks I am blessed.... And so are the recepients.

We prayed for his healing and for the wife because this situation is difficult for her taking care of her husband. Some wives up and leave the man stranded. Not this lady. Pray for her and Zafer's healing

In the name of the Sacrificial Lamb, the Holy One, the Infinite Servant whom we serve as bondmen, vassals and toilers.

Amin ve Amin

Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES - Page 2 Empty Re: Prayer Needs Missionaries (Asia Minor) Turkey & UPDATES

Dear ones who are beginning to celebrate Easter ; we wish you a happy Easter again because we have just finished our service with about 39 gypsy Turks.

We discussed both the death and ressurection. It was a joy to teach them how to say He is risen and yes He is risen indeed in Turkish. They really had a good time saying not only He is risen but allelujah and praise the Lord. Folks I know I will meet some of these in heaven and will say thank God you came to us. It be hooves the COG to find some people to come and minister to those who have never heard the Gospel.

We had communion and if someone is denied communion because they are not a believer, they become willing to become a Jesus person and accept the Lord. Communion is becoming a highlight of our services; after all Jesus says to do it.

Prayer is a vital part of the service where we pray for the sick and other needs.one old lady was in distress. After prayer she became comfortable and enjoyed the service.

We had a great day. This community is proliferating with believers. We have a leader; now we need money and approval to build a building in which we can worship. Pray for us

Not only this but we need bondmen, vassals and toilers for the Infinite Servant the Holy One of Israel, Jesus of Nazereth and who kicked the door of the tomb open and walked out.
Praise God for our Savior.

Dear praying bro s and sis's: happy Easter

He is risen and risen indeed

I spent the traveling about 150 KM's and visiting about 20 homes praying for the sick and people's needs which are manifold.

We met with believers to plan our prayer meetings this week to celebrate the Ressurection of the Holy One and the Lord 's Supper

In the meantime we met an inmate who was temp released for compassionate reasons. After discussion with him, he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Praise God from whom salvation comes.

One son via relationship with the Lord established a relationship with his father. Praise God for miracles. The Lord is really manifesting Himself in Menemen.
Now we have a problem in Menemen. We are getting so big we are disturbing the neighbors. We must do something about this; this is a huge undertaking.
Money.. We operate on a shoestring.
Approval by the state to set up a church
Leaders. We have a couple of men that have the qualities but they have families to support.

We need your prayers for guidance and support from the Lord.

Pray pray pray.. This was a good day for us.

In the name of the Risen One, the Holy One ,the Infinite Servant

Dear praying brothers and sisters: we come to you a second time because of the need of prayer to make our journey successful.

As we prepare for our journey we ask for your prayers in the following areas

1. We cannot get our van yet because getting the money in one lump sum without paying taxes on the whole amount. we must incrementally take it to avoid taxation. Pray that somehow we can expedite this without creating a problem. When we cant He can.

2. As members of our team from Ca to Mich to Bulgaria and to Bergama prepare to go Money and clothes and food and gas and sometimes auto repairs are involved and needed.

3.This is expensive but we MUST pay the price to carry the Gospel to our people especially during Easter time when we tell them the final sacrifice has been paid.... and they don't have to sacrifice a lamb anymore.

Many of you cannot go but you can help us go. I dont know how to ask except tell you what we do and leave it up to you and God to provide our needs.

( if you want to help us financially at the end of this memo is the way to do it and you can even call it in at 1 800 345-7492)

4. Pray for a safe journey for each group and team member. Lord keep us from any accidents and as we pass thru customs we do not encounter any problems.

5. Pray for continual good health of each team member.

6. My heart is heavy this AM as I pray for you and each team member. I will be preceding the groups to set up appointments to have our meetings. That is always a tedious job checking to se if the people are available and we don't have any problems. Our friends work in the field and collect iron and metal to make about $10 a day.

May the Holy One , the Infinite Servant use you as we want to be used as a bondman, vassal and toiler for the kingdom.

Police break up plot to assassinate Turkish pastor Ashes in front of Izmit Protestant Church in 2007 (Photo: World WatchMonitor)Two of the suspects ‘were like family’ in the churchIstanbul, January 18 (World Watch Monitor) — Police in Turkey say theythwarted an assassination plot against a Christian pastor Tuesday whenthey arrested 14 suspects, two of whom had been part of hiscongregation for more than a year. Emre Karaali, pastor of Izmit Protestant Church and the target of thealleged plot, said two of the arrested suspects were regular members, feigning interest in Christianity. One of them, he said, participatedin a baptism in July. Some of the other suspects also had visited the church, Karaali toldWorld Watch Monitor. He said three of the suspects are women. “These people had infiltrated our church and collected informationabout me, my family and the church and were preparing an attack againstus,” said Karaali, 33, a native Turk and a convert to Christianity.“Two of them attended our church for over a year and they were likefamily.” Accounts of the arrests in Turkish media reported that the suspectswere planning to murder Karaali this week during a series ofevangelistic outreach meetings. “They caught them last minute,” said Hakan Tastan, an IstanbulChristian who was visiting Izmit Wednesday. “If they had waited oneweek, we would have lost them,” he said, referring to the pastor, hisfamily and potentially other church members. The 14 had collected personal information, copies of personaldocuments, created maps of the church and the pastor’s home, and hadphotos of those who had come to Izmit to preach. In one of the homesraided by police, two guns were found, Turkish media reported. Policehave recorded the telephone conversations of the 14 suspects. Press reports said the Izmit anti-terror police decided to close inwhen they learned the network of suspects had brought in someone fromDiyarbakir, in eastern Turkey, to carry out the murder. The police are not talking about the arrests, claiming theirinvestigation is ongoing. Karaali said he learned about the arrests reading the morning newspaperWednesday. Later that day, he said, the police called him in forquestioning and a briefing that lasted more than five hours.

Again Christmas greetings brothers and sisters in the name of Jesus.

We have given away 50 plus Christmas stockings , given away all of our
baby blankets. It is cold and the people are poor. It seems all the
women have babies or are pregnanct and they have no money to keep
themselves warm and with food. What we have done will impact on the
people till they leave here.

One home we went nto was maybe 9 by 12 where they sleep, eat and cook.
It was cold as well. The baby needed a blanket which we gave. It will
impact on me till I leave this world..we have done a great service.

6 people got saved ..this week . Mostly mothers who care for their
children.

Thanks to all of you who make it possible for us to be here and have
the money to buy food for our brothers and sisters. Many of you gave
beyond what you normally give. Thank you so cry much.

If you do not want our emails, sends your email address and we will
delete you from our list.

As we prepare to go to our homes we wish you a Merry Christmas and pray
for our brothers and sisters in Turkey that the Lord will provide them
with work and their needs. We only helped about 150 people.

Blessings and may His face shine upon you.

Eco and the Bulgarian team and Chita my wife.
