Why is the IDF making such a big deal about the completion of its operation against Hamas in the Hamad Town residential complex in southern Gaza’s Khan Yunis?

The answer is – Rafah.

The mission, which started earlier this month was carried out by Egoz and Maglan commandos, which unlike the Northern Gaza campaign - have been the primary fighting force going southward into Khan Yunis. After each neighborhood is cleared, other commando units takeover the neighborhoods as engineering squads blow up tunnels and special forces look for clues and intelligence.

The commandos had raided the multi-story buildings in the Qatari-funded neighborhood, where the IDF said there was Hamas infrastructure.

In one building, used by the deputy commander of a Hamas battalion in Khan Younis, the IDF says the troops captured a cache of weapons. More than 100 gunmen were killed in the operation, and buildings used by Hamas, including some that were booby-trapped, were destroyed, according to the IDF.

With the Rafah operation slated to begin soon, the successful sweep of the Hamad Town complex is key in collecting the needed intelligence to accurately locate the hostages and to understand the nature of Hamas defenses in Rafah. Regardless of the pressure being piled on Israel by the US administration, the IDF will be sent into Rafah. No one should expect the sort of ground invasion that was carried out in Northern Gaza, but rather the type of attacks carried out the by the 98th Brigade made up of Egoz and Maglan. What has made the Khan Yunis campaign work was the high level of Israel’s commando forces and battle readiness they achieved fighting in the North. 

Expect Israel to move into Rafah in stages without fanfare. The IDF will take Rafah neighborhood by neighborhood and tunnel by tunnel - it’s only a matter of time.

An Imam from a large Hebron mosque took a Kalashnikov rifle and fired it at Jewish children in Hebron during Shabbat.

With his win last year, the Biden team had little chance to topple him – even after the judicial reform protests. This is where the Qatari funded advisors on Biden’s team become important. While Hamas had been planning October 7th for years, the terror group needed inside info on the bases, wall, and they needed someone to jam the coms in order to delay the IDF’s response. It’s true Russia could have helped, but the USA makes far more sense. The USA had recently upgraded Qatar’s standing to that of being equal to Israel’s and Qatar itself has heavily anchored itself inside the Biden administration.

WHY OCTOBER 7TH?
The Biden administration along with their willing helpers here in Israel believed and still do believe that only an event like October 7th that would be blamed on Netanyahu and the right would be enough to take them down - paving the way for a “palestinian” street.

Pro-palestinian advisors like Hady Amr and Maher Bitar who are also backed by Qatar continue to have access to sensitive intelligence data. They also have the ability to steer policy from the inside. October 7th was no surprise to them – they without a doubt knew Hamas planning something as did the general staff of the IDF who are no friends of Netanyahu and conveniently withheld intelligence from him.


Gantz’s trip, Ehud Barak’s call for ousting Netanyahu and Biden singling out Bibi as the main obstacle seem way to orchestrated at a time when Israelis are waking up to the pressure Biden is placing on the government.

Kamala Harris has hinted that Netanyahu has to go and today Chuck Schumer himself said it. Why Bibi? Because that is the only way their delusional vision of “true peace” will come. Yes, the Biden team is trying to create a similar color revolution as Obama did in Ukraine in 2014 and they believe it will work.

This is why Rafah must be invaded and decimated by the IDF. Netanyahu must end the charade and the games the deep state in Israel has been playing for decades as well as pushing back on Israel’s enemies in the United States. By conquering the city Biden does not want us to touch, the administration’s influence will erode. Only then will Israel rid itself of faux friends who only pretend to like us and finish our enemies that surround us.

(Worthy News) – Israeli researchers have installed a muon detector in a cavern under Jerusalem’s Old City in the hope it will use subatomic particles created by cosmic rays to send images of previously inaccessible ancient passageways, the Times of Israel (TOI) reports.
The brainchild of scientists and archaeologists from Tel Aviv University, the project is intended to explore underground areas of ancient Jerusalem that cannot be excavated and dug up for geological and religious reasons.
The muon detector was designed by the TAU researchers to capture and register the angular distribution of muons, particles created when cosmic rays smash into the earth’s atmosphere, TOI reports.
Particle physics may provide an extraordinary, non-invasive method of uncovering evidence of Jerusalem’s history lying beneath densely packed layers of rock settlement that cannot be accessed through traditional archaeological methods, the researchers have said.
The researchers are hoping the muon radiography method will reveal, among other things, evidence of Jerusalem’s ancient fortifications and pathways to the Gihon Spring, the city’s source of water in ancient times.
“All ancient cities needed a water supply and fortified, secret ways to get to there in case of emergency or war,” Prof. Oded Lipschits, director of Ancient Israel Studies at the university told TOI.
“It is our dream to scan underground in a search for tunnels that might lead us to the Temple Mount,” Prof. Erez Etzion of the School of Physics and Astronomy added. “The muon detectors can provide us with tools to search underground passively.”

Over the past week, the IDF carried out a logistics supply drill as part of its preparations for a potential ground offensive in Lebanon.

In the exercise, forces practiced delivering equipment, water, fuel, and ammunition to simulated “maneuvering forces” in Lebanon amid fighting, the IDF says.

The IDF says the drill included “loading and unloading equipment from Air Force aircraft and transporting equipment using vehicles on the ground” to the front lines.

So far, amid the war in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli Air Force has carried out airdrops of some 110 tons of equipment to troops, according to the IDF. Thousands more logistical supply operations were carried out using convoys of trucks.

“The IDF is prepared to carry out identical operations in the northern sector as well, with high intensity and under fire if required,” the military says.

The drill comes amid repeated attacks by Hezbollah and allied Palestinian terror groups in Lebanon on northern Israel, with fears of a wider conflict.

Israel has warned it can no longer tolerate Hezbollah’s presence along its border following the October 7 atrocities, and has warned that should a diplomatic solution not be reached, it will turn to military action to push Hezbollah northward.

In one engagement the Egoz soldiers came under fire while during their search of a building. The troops, used a drone to locate the gunman and returned fire.

The commandos also launched a shoulder-fired missile at an apartment in the residential complex where the gunman was hiding. The blast killed him, while a mother and two children were in an adjacent room.

Two more gunmen were killed and another was captured in the incident.
The mother and two children were later rescued from the building, and treated by army medics.

While there are many disagreements regarding specifics on the war against Hamas and the other Gazan Jihadists, no one in the War Cabinet or the wider security cabinet disagree on the need for sending in the IDF to seize Rafah.
Sinwar and his Hamas comrades have continuously refused any sort of reasonable hostage deal forcing the IDF to take decisive action against the remaining organized Hamas battalions – almost all of which are located in Rafah, along with Sinwar and most likely the remaining living hostages.

The USA and the rest of the world has urged the IDF not to enter Rafah. They claim this is out of worry for civilians, but it is clear there is a deeper reason at play. After all, the USA has shown far less regard for civilian deaths than Israel has when it fought its wars against the Taliban, Iraq, and ISIS.

So what is going on?

Ramadan has always put Israel and also the West on the defensive. Muslims, including Jihadists have gotten a free pass on Ramadan to incite their communities to violence and to essentially hunt down Jews and even Christians and kill them. For the West all religions are the same. Those in the Middle East know this is a fallacy. The Biden administration and the Western world is facing an existential crisis that drills down to the core of their moral belief set.

An invasion into Rafah by the one and only Jewish State to finish off Hamas and kill Sinwar on Ramadan spells the end of bowing down to the Jihadist narrative. Defeating the armies of Jihad on the month that the first Jihad was launched effectively ends the psychological hegemony Islam has had over large parts of the Jewish State since its reestablishment.
Sinwar is banking on chaos and it very well may happen, but launching the final battle over Gaza on Ramadan is a message to the world: The Jewish people have returned to their Land and are not going anywhere ever again. The government of Israel must follow through and shake off the fear and anxiety Ramadan brings with it. Only by confronting the Jihadist armies that are at our gates can the Jewish state and its supporters around the world finally win.

The IDF announced today that it struck a rocket launcher in southern Lebanon used in an attack earlier on Kiryat Shmona.

Hamas claimed responsibility for the barrages, saying it fired 40 Grad rockets at army bases in the area. According to the IDF, only some 15 rockets crossed the border, one of which hit a home in Kiryat Shmona.

The IDF also reported that it struck several Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon’s Ibl al-Saqi, Bint Jbeil, and Yaroun.

A barrage of rockets were also fired at the Western Galilee a short while ago, with the IDF saying some impacted open areas while others fell short in Lebanon. There were no injuries.

Hundreds of members of Shokeda, a national-religious moshav situated six kilometers (four miles) from the border with Gaza, have returned to their homes.

The homecoming Thursday by about 80 percent of Shokeda’s 132 families was the largest single movement of people into the Tekuma Region near Gaza since its evacuation after the October 7 onslaught by Hamas and Israel’s subsequent war against the terror group.

“It was with mixed feelings,” Shokeda Mayor Efraim Luzon told The Times of Israel. “On the one hand, returning home was immensely joyous but on the other, we know this fateful war isn’t over, isn’t won yet, with everything that means for the State of Israel and the people of Israel.”

This duality was reflected in the appearance of the returning residents, who arrived from their temporary accommodations in Moshav Neve Ilan near Jerusalem holding colorful balloons but wearing black and white attire, including many clad in black sweatshirts emblazoned with “Shokedai” and “Shokedait” — Hebrew for someone from Shokeda — in white. Some of the residents set immediately about mowing their overgrown lawns.
The returnees held a tree-planting ceremony to celebrate belatedly Tu Bishvat, the Jewish day celebrating plants, which fell on January 25, and to signify their determination to grow their community.

The video above shows rockets narrowly missing Israeli motorists in Northern Israel. This is just one of many strikes against Israel in the last 48 hours which has seen an exponential increase in attacks from Hezbollah against Israel. Perhaps the most important target in Israel that Hezbollah targeted is the strategic base on top of Mount Meron.

Hezbollah fired some 35 rockets at the base, causing no damage as many of the projectiles were intercepted and others hit open areas. Hezbollah also sent multiple drones into the upper Galilee, forcing residents into safe rooms across the North.

IDF Chief of Staff Lt. Gen. Herzi Halevi warned that Hezbollah will “pay a very high price” for its continued attacks on northern Israel.

“Hezbollah decided on October 7th, in the evening, that it is joining. For that it must pay a very high price,” Halevi stated during an assessment at the 146th Division’s HQ earlier today.

The IDF reported today that it uncovered another major Hamas tunnel network in southern Gaza’s Khan Yunis. The tunnel is believed to have been used by the terror group’s senior officials.
Troops of the elite Yahalom combat engineering unit and additional forces under the 98th Division entered the underground passages, where they encountered several blast doors and other blockages set up by Hamas operatives, the IDF says.
The IDF said in its report that the troops breached the barricades and identified Hamas gunmen in the tunnel, who were then killed in close-quarters combat and with other “special means.”

The tunnel — more than a kilometer long — included living quarters, as well as water and electricity infrastructure. It estimates that Hamas invested millions of shekels in its construction.

“This tunnel is part of a strategic and branching underground network located below Khan Yunis, which was used by senior Hamas officials and the Khan Younis Brigade for hiding and combat,” the IDF said.

Recent satellite footage has revealed that Egypt is building make shift camps on its side of the border with Gaza.
While Egypt denies that it is preparing to house refugees within Sinai, reports from the United Kingdom-based Sinai Foundation for Human Rights tells a different story. Videos show trucks and bulldozers clearing debris from a plot of land 21 square kilometers in size. The pictures indicate that Egypt can house around 100 thousand refugees. This would be a huge shift for Egypt who has made it clear it will never accept refugees from Gaza.

Why has Egypt changed its mind? The answer is simple - Israel finally means business and with an impending launch on Rafah, the chances of a large scale movement of Gazans into the Sinai is probable. The question is how many?

More than likely, it will not be able to stop the flow of Gazans going to the Sinai. Once it starts – the crowds will be too much for the Egyptian military. Then the chaos will really begin.
