When I saw the following tweet from Dr. Einat Wilf, I knew it was time for another conversation with her:
Not surprisingly, Dr. Wilf did not disappoint with her insights or her frankness. Wilf is a leading thinker on Israel, Zionism, foreign policy and education. She was a member of the Israeli Parliament from 2010 to 2013, where she served as Chair of the Education Committee and Member of the influential Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee.

Dr. Wilf served as an Intelligence Officer in the Israel Defense Forces, Foreign Policy Advisor to Vice Prime Minister Shimon Peres and a strategic consultant with McKinsey & Company. She has a BA from Harvard, an MBA from INSEAD in France, and a PhD in Political Science from the University of Cambridge. She was the Goldman Visiting Professor at Georgetown University and is a lecturer at Reichman University in Israel.

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said today the military has “credible intelligence” that Hamas held hostages at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza’s Khan Yunis, and there may be bodies of hostages currently hidden there.

IDF Spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari stated that the military has “credible intelligence” that Hamas held hostages at Nasser Hospital in southern Gaza’s Khan Yunis, and there may be bodies of hostages currently hidden there.

“Since the Hamas massacre of October 7th, the IDF has been operating to fulfill its mission of dismantling Hamas and bringing our hostages home,” Hagari said in an English-language video statement.

“Sadly, we know that some hostages are no longer alive. We are committed to finding and returning the bodies of those hostages in Gaza,” he said.

The IDF has confirmed the deaths of 31 hostages held by the terror group, including the bodies of two soldiers held since 2014.

“We conduct precise rescue operations — as we have in the past — where our intelligence indicates that the bodies of hostages may be held,” Hagari says.

He said the IDF has “credible intelligence from a number of sources, including from released hostages, indicating that Hamas held hostages at Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis and that there may be bodies of our hostages in the Nasser hospital facility.”

“As was proven with the Shifa Hospital; Rantisi Hospital; Al Amal Hospital; and many other hospitals across Gaza, Hamas systematically uses hospitals as terror hubs,” Hagari said.

He sai that according to the IDF’s intelligence assessments, over 85% of “major medical facilities” in Gaza have been used by Hamas for terror activity.

“Because Hamas terrorists are likely hiding behind injured civilians inside Nasser Hospital right now and appear to have used the hospital to hide our hostages there too, the IDF is conducting a precise and limited operation inside Nasser hospital,” he says.

“This sensitive operation was prepared with precision and is being conducted by IDF special forces who underwent specified training,” Hagari says.

“A key objective as defined by our military mission is to ensure that Nasser Hospital continues its important function of treating Gazan patients. We communicated this in a number of conversations we had with the hospital staff over the last few days. We emphasized that there is no obligation for patients or staff to evacuate the hospital. However, we have been urging other Gazans, in Arabic, on the phone and via loudspeakers, to move away from the danger that Hamas puts them in — via a humanitarian corridor we opened for this purpose. For the purpose of protecting uninvolved civilians in Gaza,” he said.

Hagari said the IDF also facilitated the transfer of medical supplies, oxygen tanks and fuel for electricity to the hospital in recent days, “to ensure its essential functions continue uninterrupted.”

“We have doctors and Arabic-speaking IDF officers on the ground to communicate to the staff and patients inside the Nasser hospital. Our message to them is clear: We seek no harm to innocent civilians. We seek to find our hostages and bring them home. We seek to hunt down Hamas terrorists wherever they may be hiding,” he added.

According to reports there are about two to four Hamas battalions left in all of Gaza and they are in Rafah, the southern most Arab occupied city in the Gaza Strip.
The Rafah operation is said to be the most difficult the IDF has undertaken since the beginning of the Gazan ground war. This is due to a couple of factors. Rafah is in close proximity to the Egyptian border. Egypt has made it clear to Israel that an Israeli invasion of Rafah will put the peace treaty between the two countries in jeopardy. Egypt is concerned about Gazans breaking through the Egypt-Gaza border wall into Egyptian Sinai. This is considered a redline by Egypt’s government and army.

Rafah’s other main challenge is the large population of Arab Gazans who fled there from Northern Gaza at the start of the war. Tent cities have been constructed around Rafah and neighboring areas.

With all of this, Prime Minister Netanyahu has insisted that Israel needs to invade Rafah and finish off the remaining Hamas battalions there as well as narrowing in on Hamas leaders Sinwar and Deif. “Those who say that under no circumstances should we enter Rafah are basically saying lose the war. Keep Hamas there.” Netanyahu said on ABC’s “This Week with George Stephanopoulos.” Bibi continued by adding: “Victory is within reach. We’re going to do it. We’re going to get the remaining Hamas terrorist battalions and Rafah, which is the last bastion, but we’re going to do it.”

Egypt is said to have moved 40 tanks to the border with Gaza and begun to dig earthworks in preparation in case Gazans began to pour into Egyptian Sinai. To make matters more complicated for both Egypt and Israel, Bedouin tribes in the Sinai claim they will enter the war and attack Israel if the IDF invades Rafah. 

A breakdown of the Egyptian-Israeli Camp David Peace Accords is seen as catastrophic by experts, yet it is precisely the accords that have prevented a real solution for the Gazan population. After all, if Israel still controlled the Sinai – Gazan Arabs could have been voluntarily moved over the decades further south into the Sinai, allowing Israel to apply sovereignty over the Gaza Strip - ending the threat. 

Despite the threats from Egypt concerning this sort of migration, it appears the voluntary transfer of Arab Gazans is the only solution that is workable. With a different administration in the White House, this sort of outcome might have been possible. However, Biden’s team would rather see Israel fail than find a lasting formula for true peace and stability.

A non-commissioned officer was seriously wounded and two more soldiers were lightly hurt by a Hezbollah anti-tank missile attack in the Kiryat Shmona area this morning, the IDF announces.


The IDF says fighter jets carried out strikes on a building and other infrastructure used by Hezbollah in the south Lebanon town of Khiam, from which the projectiles were fired at Kiryat Shmona.

The IDF says projectiles were also fired from Lebanon at the Biranit base and Mount Hermon.

It says troops also shelled the launch sites with artillery.

The chief of the Israeli Air Force, Maj. Gen. Tomer Bar, issues a warning to the Hezbollah terror group, saying hundreds of Israeli fighter jets are ready to strike at a moment’s notice.

“Hezbollah will continue to pay with the loss of its systems. Dozens of aircraft are now operating in the skies of southern Lebanon, and as soon as the order is given, the dozens will turn into hundreds that will perform the missions within minutes of being scrambled,” Bar says at an internal IAF conference.

During the conference, senior officers summarized the IAF’s recent activities amid the war in the Gaza Strip, and presented the plans for 2024 which is expected to be a year of fighting.

Majed Al Ansari, the spokesperson for Qatar’s foreign ministry tweeted the following in response to Netanyahu’s comments: “If the reported remarks are found to be true, the Israeli PM would only be obstructing and undermining the mediation process, for reasons that appear to serve his political career instead of prioritizing saving innocent lives, including Israeli hostages.”

Qatar’s response to the Prime Minister’s statement is classic Doha gaslighting. The fact is, if Qatar wanted to end the conflict with Hamas they could have done so already. Finance Minister Betzalel Smotrich said just this: “Qatar is the biggest obstacle for returning the hostages. We could get all 136 hostages tomorrow if Qatar would give Hamas an ultimatum to return all the hostages, and if the West would give Qatar an ultimatum to do that”

Qatar is not only funding Hamas and housing their leaders in 6 star hotels in Doha, but it has been playing a double game for years. They fund universities and hospitals in the west as well as investing heavily in varied industries and at the same time they are the largest state sponsor of Jihadist ideology after Iran.

Rockets and anti-tank missiles were fired at the Kiryat Shemona and Mt. Hermon area. Three soldiers were wounded. The IDF responded with airstrikes and artillery fire.

An Israeli delegation went to Cairo today to continue negotiations for a potential hostage release agreement. A Hamas delegation led by Ismail Haniyeh will also be there, along with a Qatari delegation. U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said yesterday that the Hamas counter proposal contained many demands that were "non starters", but that he thinks that there is still hope for negotiating an agreement. Hamas had demnded a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza and the release of thousands of terrorists held by Israel. Prime Minister Netanyahu said that Israel would continue the war until victory is achieved.

Blinken met with Netanyahu and Defense Minister Gallant and expressed humanitarian concerns regarding the situation in Gaza and the IDF advancing on Rafah.

Awareness of God Starts From the Top

Psalm 135:21 begins, "Blessed is the LORD from Zion." The obvious question is, does God really need to be blessed by us? What are we actually doing when we bless God? I understand what it means to bless another person. It usually means either that I am bestowing gifts upon them or that I am offering a prayer for their success and well-being. When we speak of blessing someone, we mean that we have something to offer them that will benefit them. Colloquially, someone is blessed with wealth or with a particular talent.

When Isaac blessed his sons, Jacob and Esau, for example, he bestowed gifts upon them both in the realm of materialism as well as in the spiritual arena. In this context, the word blessing indicates material wealth, spiritual gifts, or loftiness of status and power.

The phrase "And He will bless your bread and your water" (Exodus 23:25) likewise refers to the granting of something beneficial by the blesser to the one being blessed.

So, what does it mean to bless God? Are we to understand that when we bless God, we are bestowing something upon Him? The implication that there is some good that we could give God makes no sense. God is complete and perfect in every way. To say that we could bestow anything upon Him implies that there is some way in which He could be improved. Furthermore, as God's creations, we cannot possibly possess anything to give God that does not come from Him to begin with. Obviously, when we talk about blessing God, we mean something other than the conventional use of the term.

A Jihadist terrorist attacked border patrol patrol police in Maale Adumim east of Jerusalem today.


The Jihadist was a 14 year old boy who came to the checkpoint and then attacked the border police with a knife and was shot before he was able to carry out his attack.

The terrorist was later identified as Wadia Shadi Sa’ad Alian, a 14-year-old student in Abu Dis who lives in the Jabel Mukaber neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Border Police commander Itzhak Brik praised the fighters at the scene, saying, “You did your work in an excellent and professional manner, exactly as we expect of you.”

“He came here with the goal of carrying out a terror attack against civilians, and in the end you prevented this – and as I said this is exactly what I expect of our fighters. Good for you – you did beautiful work.”

The IDF announces that soldiers from the Givati Brigade raided the main headquarters of Hamas’ Khan Yunis Brigade. The complex was used by Hamas for training to prepare for the October 7th pogrom.

Known as the al-Qadsia outpost, the complex also housed the office of Muhammad Sinwar. Muhammad Sinwar was not only a senior Hamas military commander, but also the brother of Hamas’ leader, Yahya Sinwar.

Al-Qadsia was the main outpost belonging to Hamas’ Khan Yunis Brigade. The complex included a training ground with mock entrances to Israeli communities, IDF bases, and military vehicles. According to the IDF, another part of al-Qadsia included a Hamas command center and offices belonging to the Khan Yunis Brigade’s senior commanders as well as a rocket depot and tunnel leading to a vast underground network.

IDF soldiers also found a weapons manufacturing site nearby the compound. When the IDF arrived to raid al-Qadsia, troops discovered that Hamas had booby-trapped the area with explosive devices, which were neutralized by combat engineers.

Hamas gunmen also tried to ambush troops from an area near the outpost, the IDF said. Hamas fighters opened fire on the IDF soldiers The troops responded with sniper fire, tank shelling and airstrikes, killing all of the terrorists.

The Givati Brigade has been carrying out an offensive in Khan Yunis for the past two months. Commander of the Givati Brigade, LTC Liron Bitito stated: “The Givati Brigade combat team raided the flagship position and training center used by the Khan Yunis Brigade and destroyed it. This is a very significant compound where many weapons were found. In addition, the brigade is operating resolutely in western Khan Yunis and is succeeding in driving the terrorists out of their hiding places every day. I am proud to lead a brigade like Givati in this war. The current generation has proven to be no less committed and moral than previous generations. The Givati Brigade will continue to be wherever needed and anywhere we are asked.”

IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi spoke about the operation and reiterated that Israel is not seeking to fight in medical centers, but will go after terrorists wherever they are hiding.

“We do not want to turn medical centers into battlefields… but we are much more determined not to allow hospitals in Gaza, Judea and Samaria [West Bank] or Lebanon — neither above ground or in shafts and tunnels under hospitals — to become a shelter for terror,” he said while speaking with a group of reserve soldiers.

The Israeli security forces entered the Ibn Sina Hospital at 5:30 a.m. disguised as doctors, nurses, and Palestinian women. They headed to a room on the third floor, and proceeded to shoot the three terrorists dead in their beds. According to reports they used silencers. The commandos escaped the building without injury.

While this operation was a success, Hamas and its allies in the Fatah run Palestinian Authority are set on launching an additional front against Israeli population centers. Without a crushing blow to “palestinian” nationalism across the Land of Israel, the potential for another Arab initiated pogrom against Jews and all Israelis will only happen again.

US, UK, Finland, Japan, and others are beginning to pause funding for UNRWA, the faux “palestinian” refugee organization that acts more as a front for Hamas and Fatah terrorists. The funding pause is due to the strong allegations that many of its workers took part in the Oct. 7th massacre of Jews.


Billions of dollars have been funneled to “palestinian” Jihadist Nazis through the years by way of UNRWA. Israel has argued in the past that UNRWA schools have educated Arab youth in Gaza and Judea and Samaria to commit genocide against the Jewish people.

Now, with the revelation that many of its employees not only praised the October 7th pogrom against the Jewish people, but actively participated in it – many countries have finally had enough.

The French government was one of the first this week to suspend funding for UNRWA. “France has not planned a new payment for the first half of 2024 and will decide when the time comes of the action to take together with the United Nations and the main donors,” the foreign ministry says, calling the allegations “exceptionally serious.”


Japan said late Sunday it was “extremely concerned about the alleged involvement of UNRWA staff members in the terror attack on Israel on October 7 last year.”

“In response, Japan has decided to suspend additional funding to UNRWA for the time being while UNRWA conducts an investigation into the matter and considers measures to address the allegations,” a foreign ministry statement said.

After Israel submitted evidence to UNRWA about the participation of some of its employees, UNRWA fired its Gaza staff. However, this has not been enough for the US and others as UNRWA’s entrenchment in pushing hate within “palestinian” society is not only well known, but well documented. UNRWA is seen by many to be perpetuating the conflict between “palestinian” Arabs and Israel – after all as long as the conflict continues it has a raison d’etre to exist - providing jobs for thousands and thousands of employees.

Hundreds of activists have gone down to the Kerem Shalom crossing into Gaza over successive days in hopes of blocking the humanitarian aid trucks being sent into Gaza. The group, called Tzav 9 is made up of rightwing and leftwing Israelis whose aim is to stop all humanitarian aid for Gazans until the captives are returned to Israel and Hamas is destroyed.
According to eyewitness accounts, a large contingent of troops and border police have been dispatched to the area in order to prevent the Tzav 9 activists from carrying out their mission. Despite the security forces, enough activists have showed up to prevent the humanitarian aid from crossing over.

Although the government promised no electricity and humanitarian aid in the beginning of the war, global pressure has forced Israel’s government to allow aid trucks and electricity back into the strip. This acts as a form of rearming the Gazan Jihadists while the IDF is meant to destroy them. No other country in the world would aid their enemy in the time of war.

Tzav 9 stated that it “congratulates the decision to block, but instead of implementing it against the families of the hostages and soldiers, it should be implemented against the murderous Hamas terror organization which receives oxygen to continue fighting us from these trucks.”

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu mentioned the demonstrators at a press conference on Shabbat: “Without minimum humanitarian aid we will not be able to complete the mission and the war’s goals. According to him, “The Chief of Staff ordered to deal with the roadblocks since we need to ensure this minimum supply.”

Tzav 9 responded to the Prime Minister’s statement against the roadblocks: “Hundreds of supply trucks entering the Gaza Strip every day – immediate supply and air for the murderous Hamas terror organization. We understand that there is heavy pressure on the Prime Minister to open the Kerem Shalom Crossing, our job as a nation is to press for the opposite.”

The IDF under GFeneral Yaron Finkelman’s orders has now made the Kerem Shalom Crossing a closed military zone. However, with major community and religious leaders from across the political spectrum supporting the actions of the activists, its hard to see them giving up. As grassroots pressure continues to grow, it will be hard to see how Netanyahu will be able to balance internal pressure with that of the global community who appears to have an interest in seeing Israel lose the war.

With real unity behind the Tzav 9 effort, the government may be forced to tell the world that Israel simply cannot comply with aiding our enemy and if that happens – it will get even more rocky than it already is.

Just two hours ago, we received a critical update from Israel. In a significant escalation, the IDF launched an attack on a key Hezbollah-Iran airstrip at Kilat Jaber in southern Lebanon. This airstrip, only 20 kilometers from the Israeli border, has been a joint base for Hezbollah and Iran, plotting aerial attacks against Israel.

Defense Minister Yoav Gallant had previously exposed this base in September 2023, highlighting the visible Iranian flags on the runways.
