A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A miracle is often the willingness to see the uncommon in an uncommon
way.

TRUTH OR WIND
"Trust in the LORD, and do good; dwell in the land, remain loyal and
feed on HIS faithfulness. " [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 3 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This is one of many blessed promises in HOLY SCRIPTURE that the LORD GOD
will provide our every need. [Matthew 6. 33] The last part of the verse
could best be stated, "you shall be fed on the truth." The spiritual
life of the person who trusts in the LORD YESHUA will be fed and
sustained by TRUTH.

The unbeliever who feeds on fantasy, figments and fragments of their own
imagination, the ones "who would fashion a god or cast a graven image
that can do no good (he) will soon taste bitterness on his tongue. He
feeds on ashes; a deluded mind and deceived heart has led him astray,
and he cannot deliver his soul to save himself. He never says to
himself— The thing in my hand is a fraud!" [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 44.
10, 20 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Those who trust in human deliverance will be like Israel depending on
Egypt and Assyria. "Ephraim surrounds ME with deceit and feeds on wind,
the House of Israel with guile and follows after the east wind; they
daily increase lies and desolation which is constantly noted by the
LORD." [Hosea (Hoshea) 12. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The diet of false
prophets is more bitter still, "Assuredly, thus said the LORD OF HOSTS
concerning the prophets: I am going to make them eat wormwood and drink
the water of bitter gall; for from the prophets of Jerusalem GODlessness
has gone forth to the whole land." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 23. 15 Tanakh,
Nevi'im] Wind and ashes, wormwood and gall, such is the spiritual food
of those who reject the TRUTH of the WORD OF GOD.

For the believer, the GOOD NEWS of the WRITTEN WORD is as essential a
daily need as bread is for the body. Long ago, Job set precedence when
he said— "I have treasured HIS WORDS more than my daily bread." [Job
(Iyob) 23. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "How pleasing are YOUR words to my
taste, sweeter than honey. Through pondering YOUR precepts I get
understanding; therefore I hate every false way." [Psalms (Tehillym)
119. 103 - 104 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Moses declared, "The LORD GOD subjected you to the hardship of hunger
and then gave you manna to eat, which neither you nor your fathers had
ever know, in order to teach you that man does not live on bread alone,
but that man may live on anything that the LORD decrees." [Deuteronomy
(Devarim) 8. 3 Tanakh, Torah]

The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH d, "If anyone keeps MY WORD, he shall never
taste death." [John 8. 52] "I have come that you may have
life…more abundantly." [John 10. 10] "I am the WAY, the TRUTH and
the LIFE." [John 14. 6] When we know the TRUTH, we will know the
MERCIFUL, ETERNAL, LOVING MASTER!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbas, our prayer is that GOD, WHO separates
the holy from the secular, forgive our sins. We share the blessed hope
that every day will be as sweet as Shabbat...a rest of love freely given
in truth and sincerity – a rest in peace and tranquility, quiet and
safety — a perfect rest in which you find favor of the LORD YESHUA!
Grace, peace and mercy to each of you, our beloved friends, our adored
extended family.
Tov Shavua — Have a good week!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Today's Verse for 10/19/2012
When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise. — Proverbs 10:19

Thought
We are constantly filling our world with noise. If it is not the sound of our own voices, then turn up some other noise to fill the silence. With the proliferation of radio talk shows, we are even given the opportunity to sound off to that noise. Unfortunately, quite often we say things that are harmful, hurtful, or foolish. God's wisdom reminds us to learn to hold our tongue and let silence rule over more of our time rather than the noisy words that so often clutter our world.

Prayer
Holy God, please give me more wisdom so that I can keep my mouth shut more often and my ears more attentive to the needs of others. Purify my heart and cleanse my speech so that it will be helpful to others and bring glory to you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
If we do not regard the work of the MESSIAH above our very lives, it
isn't because we can't — it is because we don't want to!

CUSTOMS— THE TALMUD
The Talmud (from the Hebrew word: lomad meaning to teach, instruction)
is a code of laws as well as a record of rabbinical discussions and
decisions pertaining to theology, exegesis, philosophy, natural science,
medical learning, ethics, political and domestic economy, etc. as these
were understood during a period of one thousand years after the Jews
returned from the Babylonian exile. It is an encyclopedic work
consisting of 36 volumes composed by over one thousand Rabbis, several
of the ancient rabbis including some of those who traced their ancestry
to Gentiles who had been converted to Judaism.

It is claimed that Moses received two types of directive on Mt. Sinai,
one was the WRITTEN LAW, the TORAH; the other was the Oral Law which was
repeated by word of mouth from Moses to Joshua, from Joshua to the
elders, from the elders to the prophets, and so on as is stated in the
TALMUD itself (Pirke Aboth 1. 1 "Ethics of the Fathers"). It is said
that the prophets handed it down orally to the men of the Great
Synagogue (perhaps the origin of the name is traced from the assembly in
Nehemiah/Nechemah 8 - 10) and so on till Ezra, when it became the
possession of the spiritual leaders of that time.

Rabbi Hillel, who lived from 70 BC/BCE to 10 AD/CE, began to compile the
Oral Law so that it could be written. Hillel was the grandfather of
Gamaliel, the teacher of the Apostle Paul. He was president of the
Sanhedrin — the president was the 71st member of the Sanhedrin (70)
and was always the High Priest. Rabbi Hillel laid down six or seven
rules for the interpretation of the SCRIPTURES which became the
foundation of rabbinical hermeneutics and which, no doubt, was used by
the Pharisees in the days of MESSIAH YESHUA. The LORD JESUS referred to
this Oral Law as "the traditions of the elders." [Matthew 15. 1 - 9;
Mark 7. 1 - 13]

Since the Temple with its order of priesthood had been destroyed, there
needed to be some source of authority to continue the practice of
Judaism among the scattered Jewish people. Therefore, a group of 148
Jewish scholars who were called "Tannaim" (repeaters, teachers —
scholars from the Mishnaic Period up to 200 AD/CE) gathered in the
ancient city of Yabne (located near the present city of Lydda, Israel)
and by their discussions, debates and decisions wrote down that which
had been orally handed down over almost six centuries. This writing was
published about 200 AD/CE under the leadership of Rabbi Judah the Prince
(Judah ha'Nasi). The written form is called the Mishneh (repetition,
duplicate) — the Second Law. It was the Oral Law of the Pharisees
and almost universally accepted as the authoritative legal code of
Judaism.

However, since the Mishneh (or Mishna) was not understood and there was
a need for adapting it to the times and to the changing circumstances of
life, a group of several hundred rabbis, called Amoraim (expounders)
— scholars from the Talmudic Period, 200 - 500 CE/AD — developed
the Gemara (completion) which is a commentary on the Mishnah. These two
parts of the Talmud are not two divisions or separate books, but the
Gemara is included under the Mishna. The Oral law written down is
called the Mishna and it is started first, the commentary and
application or the Gemara is then stated below it.

This combination, Mishneh-Gemara, composed the Talmud which was
completed in Babylon about 400 AD/CE There is a Jerusalem Talmud
(Yerushalmi) written in Jerusalem and a Babylonian Talmud (Babli)
written in Babylon.

Along with their work on the Mishna and Gemara the Tannaim and Amoraim
developed a running commentary on the actual text of the OLD COVENANT.
This is called the Midrash, the name coming from the Hebrew word meaning
"to study" or "to investigate. "

Since it was difficult to understand, Rabbi Joseph B. E. Caro devoted
years of his life to summarizing, abridging, and codifying the Talmud
for the common man. In 1564 he published his work which he called
Shulchan Arukh (Prepared Table). However, there are many laws contained
in the Shulchan Arukh which have been added to the laws found in the
Talmud - for example: There are fourteen laws regulating the lighting
of the Sabbath candles, twenty-one relating to the fringes on the
Tallith and twenty-six relating to the prayer shawl. There are laws
covering every conceivable thing in daily life, even as to the manner of
walking, etc. Directions for the practice of present-day Judaism in the
rituals and ceremonies for the High Holy Days, Sabbaths, the Passover
Seder (order of ceremony), weddings, etc. are all found in the Shulchan
Arukh.

No wonder YESHUA, the ANOINTED ONE called the Pharisees "Hypocrites! "
those who draw near to HIM with their mouth, and honor HIM with their
lips, but their heart is far from HIM, and their fear toward the LORD
JESUS is taught by men, making the commandment of ETERNAL GOD
ineffective by their tradition, just as Isaiah prophesied.
[Isaiah/Yeshayah 29. 13; Matthew 15. 7 - 9]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Welcome Sabbath — Queen of the week! Praised are YOU, YEHOWAH, our
GOD, SOVEREIGN OF THE UNIVERSE, WHO makes us holy with YOUR mitzvoth and
favors us with the Holy Shabbat, lovingly and graciously given to us.
Assuredly, HE WHO keeps Israel neither slumbers or sleeps!
Sabbath blessings to each of you!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Post  Admin Fri 19 Oct 2012, 8:39 pm

HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
While making a living, be sure to leave room for life.

BREASTPIECE OF DECISION (Part 2 – Conclusion) —
"You shall make a Breastpiece of Decision (Judgment), worked into a
design; make it in the style of the ephod; make it of gold, blue,
purple, and crimson yarns, and of fine twisted linen. The stones shall
correspond in number to the names of the sons of Israel: twelve,
corresponding to their names. They shall be engraved like seals, each
with its name, for the twelve tribes. Aaron shall carry the names of the
sons of Israel on the Breastpiece of Decision over his heart, when he
enters the Sanctuary, for remembrance before the LORD at all times."
[Exodus (Shemot) 28. 15, 21, 29 Tanakh, Torah]

Different and various-colored stones were on the Breastpiece with the
names of Israel according to their tribes. Here we see unity combined
with diversity. Each name had its own particular stone. Each stone had
its own peculiar colour, glory, and beauty. The redeemed of the MESSIAH
YESHUA all are set within "the body" — each one having his own
particular beauty and function, yet each one reflecting some ministry of
the LORD JESUS. The names were engraved on the stones in the same
arrangement as that of the Camps of Israel around the Tabernacle and the
order of the march through the wildernessÂ…according to their tribes.
The names engraved on them were associated with that particular stone as
though descriptive of that tribe. Being engraved tells us of permanency
and faithfulness of our LOVING GOD to all of HIS promises involving each
tribe.

The first gem was Sardis. Its colour is red and engraved on it was the
tribal name "Judah" which means "praise of YEHOWAH." ALMIGHTY GOD
always puts praise first. YESHUA partook of flesh and blood (colour
red) by becoming a MAN. HE came from the tribe of Judah and HE the
personified PRAISE OF GOD. The redeemed of the LORD, first of all come
to GOD with praise because they are born of HIM WHO is from the Tribe of
Judah. Judah's camp was located on the East side of the Tabernacle,
near to the Gate of the Court. The East is where the sun rose toward
which the Tabernacle faced. The redeemed of the LORD enter the Gate
into salvation's court with praise to HIM WHO is "the SUN WHO rises with
healing in HIS wings." [Malachi (Malakhi) 4. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The last stone on the Breastpiece was jasper and on it the name
"Naphtali" written which means "wrestling." {This wrestling was for
certain rest and victory.} The story in this name, as it is associated
with the stone in which it is engraved, is likened to MESSIAH in HiS
wrestling's on the earth to destroy the work of the enemy for the rest
and victory promised to HIS people. It tells of the children of GOD WHO
wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the powers of darkness,
the wickedness of the Devil, and who have overcome him in the glorious
and mighty "NAME OF JESUS."

It is striking to notice that the appearance of the MOST HIGH in
Revelation 4:3 is likened to the first and last stones of the
Breastpiece of Judgment, in reverse. Since names are to be engraved on
each stone telling of permanency as well as describing "the precious gem
of Heaven and HIS people." This reversed order of the gems, as John saw
them, present another glorious truth: "NAPHTALI (engraved on jasper)"
— we have WRESTLED and have the victory because of the LORD JESUS
CHRIST. "Judah (on Sardis)" — we are entered into REST. . . home at
last to PRAISE HIM forevermore!

On Aaron's garments, represented in the stones, we see a double function
of the redeemed people as they served in the priesthood; theirs was a
shoulder as well as a heart ministry. The shoulder, which is the place
of strength, courage and leadership is open. . . public. The breast,
being over the heart, signifies love and affection and is secret. . .
private. This was how YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, our GREAT HIGH PRIEST
served, and how believer-priests should function today. . . with a Heart
& Shoulder Ministry.

The office of the High Priest called for compassion on the ignorant and
on them that are out of "THE WAY." [Hebrews 5. 1 - 6, 10] The
fulfillment of this was in the BELOVED REDEEMER, the LORD JESUS WHO was
"moved with compassion" on innumerable times in HIS earthly ministry.
The PERFECT ONE is continuing this incredible compassion through HIS
sons, believer-priests, in the NEW COVENANT who minister with HIM in the
priest's office.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Rejoice and honor the wonders of the ALMIGHTY ONE and HIS HOLY WORD.
Remember, HE WHO keeps Israel neither slumbers or sleeps!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
If you're not living on the edge, you're taking up too much space!

BREASTPIECE OF DECISION (Part 1 of 2) —
"You shall make a Breastpiece of Decision (Judgment), worked into a
design; make it in the style of the ephod; make it of gold, blue,
purple, and crimson yarns, and of fine twisted linen. The stones shall
correspond in number to the names of the sons of Israel: twelve,
corresponding to their names. They shall be engraved like seals, each
with its name, for the twelve tribes. Aaron shall carry the names of the
sons of Israel on the Breastpiece of Decision over his heart, when he
enters the Sanctuary, for remembrance before the LORD at all times."
[Exodus (Shemot) 28. 15, 21, 29 Tanakh, Torah]

Aaron wore the names of the Israelites upon his BREAST as he went into
the presence of the Almighty ONE. Messiah YESHUA, our GREAT HIGH
PRIEST, bears our names on HIS HEART continually before HIS FATHER.
[Hebrews 7. 25; 8. 3-4]

The precious stones in the Breastpiece of the High Priest (Hebrew:
choshen — priestly breastplate) are the same as those spoken of by
John in the Revelation on Patmos regarding the foundation walls of the
Heavenly City. [Revelation 21. 19] As the names of the Twelve Tribes
of Israel were engraved on the stones in the Priest's garments, so the
names of the Twelve Apostles are inscribed on the wall gems of the New
Jerusalem. The heavens and the earth are expressions of the ETERNAL
HOLY GOD, HIS attributes and power. Out of the dust of the earth (the
fine earth, ready to be cultivated), CREATOR GOD formed man. And, out
of the earth, from the same materials which make up the earth, also come
the stones which shine forth in the garments of Aaron and in the Holy
New Jerusalem! They reflect the glory, power and nature of OMNIPOTENT
GOD HIMSELF.

Most of the stones listed in the "glory garments" of Aaron and in the
New Jerusalem are of a very hard substance, colourful and glittering in
appearance. They are common earth particles cut and polished, precious,
brilliant, beautiful, transparent and without flaw. The LORD YEAHUA is
the STONE (Hebrew: Pinnah) "hewn from the mountain, not by hands."
[Daniel (Danyel) 2. 45 Tanakh, Nevi'im] HE came from the earth.
[Isaiah/Yeshayah 53. 2 — "a ROOT out of a dry ground."] YESHUA
came from ALMIGHTY GOD; HE was cut out of the mountain and set in HIS
honored place; HE is the TRIED STONE [Isaiah/Yeshayah 28. 16], the
CHOSEN, ELECT and PRECIOUS STONE. [1 Peter 2. 4, 6] CHRIST JESUS is
"the STONE with the Seven Eyes" [Zechariah/Zecharya h 3. 9 w/4. 10;
Revelation 5. 6], the PERFECT, ALL-SEEING, ALL-KNOWING GOD.

In the High Priest's Breastpiece, the Sardis gem is mentioned first and
in order; and the jasper, last. But, in Revelation 4:3 where GOD'S
GLORIOUS SHEKINAH APPEARANCE is described, this order is reversed. The
first and last of anything includes all in between. Therefore, these
two stones incorporate all the precious gems of the New Jerusalem in
describing our WONDERFUL GOD & SAVIOR, as well as describing HIS people
who have been given all things in YESHUA ha'MASHIACH!

The precious stones of the "glory garments" and in the New Jerusalem
represent the LORD YESHUA OF NAZARETH in every phase of HIS life, power,
and ministry. And they are applicable to each believer who are
partakers of the DIVINE nature. The stones were set into the
Breastpiece, each one surrounded by gold. [Exodus/Shemot 28. 20] These
represent the redeemed children of GOD filled with the same wisdom from
above and endued with HIS power and glory. We are identified with the
LORD JESUS . . . HE is the LIVING STONE, we are living stones. MESSIAH
is the PRECIOUS STONE, we are precious stones. The SON OF MAN is the
REJECTED STONE, we are rejected stones. The LORD JESUS CHRIST is the
CHOSEN, ELECT STONE; we are chosen stones, the elect of our HOLY,
AWESOME, WONDERFUL ETERNAL LORD GOD!

. . . to be continued

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
May the HOLY ONE OF JACOB ever be praised for HIS mercy and loving
kindness to us as we await to be in HIS PRESENCE in the Promised Land.
Keep watching and praying.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 11 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Wed 17 Oct 2012, 5:56 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Make it a daily practice to see with your eyes, hear with your ears, and
understand with your heart the incredible things GOD ALMIGHTY wants to
tell you.

LAKE OF FIRE
"And whosoever was not found written in the BOOK OF LIFE was cast into
the Lake of Fire." [Revelation 20. 15]

OMNIPOTENT HOLY GOD makes it very clear that the Lake of Fire is a
literal place and all "the fearful, the unbelieving and the abominable,
murderers, whoremongers, sorcerers, idolaters and all liars, shall have
their part in the Lake which burns with fire and brimstone." [Revelation
21. 8]

The GRACIOUS LORD spoke more about hell then anyone else in the HOLY
SCRIPTURES. To the unsaved, YESHUA, the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE will say,
"Depart from ME, you cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the
devil and his angels." [Matthew 25. 41]

The Antichrist (the Beast) and the false prophet are to be cast into the
Lake of Fire before the binding of Satan for one-thousand years. Then,
the present earth itself is to be removed and finally, the Devil will be
"cast into the Lake of Fire and Brimstone, where the beast and the false
prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever."
[Revelation 20. 10; 19. 20; 20. 2, 7, 10 - 11] This Lake of Fire is in
existence both before and after the removal of the present earth, and it
will continue to exist forever.

There are those who say the Lake of Fire is symbolic and should not be
taken literally. If this is so, the reality must be so utterly
indescribable and beyond description that it can only be symbolized by
an Eternal Lake of Fire, which would be even more horrible. For those
"that obey not the GOSPEL of our LORD JESUS CHRIST" they are to be
"punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the LORD."
[2 Thessalonians 1. 8 - 9]

Rather than questioning the reality of Hell and its unquenchable fire,
which is the just destiny of all who reject or ignore the free gift of
salvation provided by the infinite love and sacrificial suffering of
CREATOR GOD by way of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH; men and women should come to
YESHUA, the MASTER REDEEMER now in faith and "be saved from wrath
through HIM." [Roman 5. 9]

Now is the appointed time, tomorrow may be too late. So complete and
perfectly does the blood of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO through the
ETERNAL SPIRIT OF GOD MOST HOLY, offers cleansing of our conscience from
dead works to serve the TRUE & LIVING GOD. [Hebrews 9. 14]

BEWARE! There is a literal New Heaven and New Earth coming to attain;
and a literal burning Lake of Fire to shun (avoid, keep away from).
Make a careful decision now while there is still time and live
accordingly. Now is the appointed time, today is the day of salvation!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Sit on YOUR Throne of Truth, O LORD, AUTHOR & ALL-WISE CREATOR,
establish mercy, seek justice and hasten righteousness, we pray, Amen!
Consider your latter end; fear GOD, the HOLY CREATOR, take heed to HIS
counsel, seek understanding.
Welcoming Rosh Chodesh – the new month of Cheshvan – may each
day bring you a blessing filled with wisdom and discernment for the
times ahead.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

"(The Egyptian magicians). . . each cast down his rod, and they turned into serpents. But Aaron's rod swallowed their rods." [Exodus (Bereshith) 7. 12 Tanakh, Torah]

Just like the future Image of the Beast in the book of Revelation, which will seem to have life, these magician-induced serpents are "lying wonders." [2 Thessalonians 2. 9; Revelation 13. 15] Evil spirits do possess certain powers, which can be used to impress their worshippers with the magical insights and abilities of the images. However, neither man nor demons can really create life; they simply imitate, steal, cheat and lie. Creation is a privileged prerogative, indulgence, or advantage of GOD ETERNAL. HE alone can and did "create all the living creatures." [Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 21 Tanakh, Torah]

Both human magicians and demonic spirits can, however, generate hypnotic mental states and occult hallucinations; by which ungodly people, like Pharaoh, may be deceived into seeing as real physical entities. However, when their demonstration was over, there was nothing to show for it. Even the magician's rods (not serpents) were gone, for Aaron's rod became an indisputably authentic serpent who had made a meal of them. In a true creation miracle, Aaron's MASTER DESIGNER had transfigured the dead atoms of a wooden stick (just as HE later caused it to sprout, put forth buds, produce blossoms and yielded ripe almonds, see Numbers/B'Midvar 17. 8) into a living serpent capable of consuming other sticks which only appeared (impersonated, seemed, imitated) to be serpents.

The deception of the magicians was revealed later when they were unable to imitate the mighty hand of GOD turning dust into lice throughout the land of Egypt. [Exodus/Shemot) 3. 18] There is a limit to the things the ALMIGHTY LIVING GOD will allow, even of deceivers, proving that only HE is the CREATOR/SUSTAINER of life and does as HE wills!

The miracle of Aaron's rod can also be seen as a parable: Aaron's ROD OF LIFE took on the nature of the serpent, just as the OVERCOMER was "made sin" for us. [2 Corinthians 5. 21] But then, it swallowed up the other serpent-rods, and the sting of "that old serpent" was put away. Thus, "death is swallowed up in victory. O DEATH, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?" [1 Corinthians 15. 54 - 55] In YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, VICTORY IS AHEAD! and we are more then conquerors because of our WONDERFUL LORD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
MERCIFUL KING awaken our soul to grateful acknowledgement of YOUR grace which has bestowed upon us the gift of life, and make our pathway come in safety to the coveted goal — YOUR LOVING PRESENCES. LORD, YOUR loving-kindness is mighty over us, and we are ever thankful to YOU. Blessed be YOUR HOLY NAME.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Woe! Woe! Woe! to them that call evil — good. . . and good — evil.

YINNON - THE SUN
"And you, O Bethlehem of Ephrath, least among the clans of Judah, from you ONE shall come forth to rule Israel for ME — ONE WHOSE origin is from of old, from ancient times." [Micah (Michah) 5. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

According to the prophet Micah, the MESSIAH was to be born in the city of Bethlehem. HE was to be KING of the Jews, WHOSE goings forth have been from of old from everlasting indicating HE existed before HE came to earth in a human body. "Before the sun was, HIS NAME "YINNON (one of the names of MESSIAH YESHUA)" had been prepared and all nations will be blessed in HIS merits." [Psalms (Tehillym) 72. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim] This statement also implies pre-existence. From this passage on YINNON the word "Shiloh" or "Sheloi" comes to which many Jewish scholars admit as referring to MESSIAH.

"SHILOH" means the exact image and reflection of GOD. "In HIM dwells all the FULLNESS of the GODhead BODILY." [Colossians 2. 9] "SHELOI" is an acrostic meaning "HIS NAME shall be continued as long as the sun."

"Thus says the LORD GOD: 'Remove the turban and take off the crown! Nothing shall remain the same! Exalt the humble, and disgrace the exalted. Ruin, an utter ruin I will make it overthrown! It shall be no longer, until HE COMES TO WHOM IT RIGHTFULLY BELONGS; and I will give it to HIM.'" [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 21. 26-27 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "The scepter (a symbol of kingship) shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler's staff from between HIS feet; until SHILOH comes, so that tribute shall come to HIM and the homage of peoples be HIS." [Genesis (Bereshith) 49. 10 Tanakh, Torah] "In that time, tribute shall be brought to the LORD OF HOSTS from a people far and remote, from a people thrust forth and away - a nation of gibber and chatter, whose land is cut off by streams - at the place where the NAME OF THE LORD OF HOSTS abides, at Mount Zion." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 18. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Yes, to YINNON, SHILOH, LAWGIVER, MESSIAH, SAVIOR, REDEEMER, ALMIGHTY GOD, KING YESHUA "all kings shall bow down to HIM and all nations shall serve HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 72. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] How can one help but serve the LORD JESUS in awe, and rejoice with trembling; all those who put their trust in HIM are eternally most blessed.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O GOD, keep my tongue from evil and my lips from speaking guile. Be my SUPPORT when grief silences my voice, and my COMFORT when woe bends my spirit. Plant humility in my soul, and strengthen my heart with perfect faith in YOU. Help me to be strong in trials and temptations and to be humble always before YOU, my STRONG-TOWER. Guide me by the PURE LIGHT of YOUR counsel, and let me ever find rest in YOU, my ROCK and my REDEEMER. Praised be the LORD GOD ETERNAL to WHOM all praise is due for ever and ever. Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and the world will experience true godly universal peace.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 11 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sun 14 Oct 2012, 6:51 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Everyone fallsÂ…it's getting up afterwards that matters.

UNSPEAKABLE — INEXPRESSIBLE — INDESCRIBABLE
"And I know such a man — whether in the body or out of the body I do
not know, God knows — how he was caught up into Paradise and heard
inexpressible words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter." [2
Corinthians 12. 3 - 4]

The NEW COVENANT calls three things unspeakable, inexpressible or
indescribable; all conveying the idea of a thing which is so marvelous
it cannot be articulated (expressed, put into words). Unspeakable words
is mentioned above in 2 Corinthians; inexpressible joy is emphasized in
1 Peter 1:8; and an indescribable gift is the topic of 2 Corinthians
9:15

The indescribable gift which Paul is referring to is obviously the LORD
YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. This MATCHLESS GIFT is what each of us are
inadequate at being most thankful for every day of our lives when we
come to know our LOVING SAVIOR. "The GIFT of GOD is eternal life in
CHRIST JESUS our LORD." [Romans 6. 23] "GOD demonstrates HIS OWN love
toward us, in that while we were still sinners, CHRIST died for us."
[Romans 5. 8] "For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS
ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, that whoever believes in HIM should not perish but
have everlasting life." [John 3. 16]

When the Apostle Paul received MESSIAH YESHUA as his SAVIOR & LORD, he
considered himself as "crucified with CHRIST" — yet he could also
say that "the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the
SON OF GOD WHO loved me and gave HIMSELF for me." [Galatians 2. 20]

It was Paul who had been chosen on a unique occasion to be "caught up
into Paradise" where he "heard the inexpressible words." Whatever he
was privileged to see and hear convinced him irreversibly— for all
time —that once a person decides that "to live is CHRIST" — then
"to die is gain (favorably promoted)." [Philippians 1. 21]

Thus it will be for all who received by faith the ULTIMATE,
INDESCRIBABLE GIFT...the RISEN LORD, the ROCK of our salvation. Now we
can join with another great apostle, Simon Peter, and say that we too
"rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory" and await "the end of
your faith — the salvation of your souls." [1 Peter 1. 8 - 9] That
is an unspeakable, inexpressible, indescribable gift of great joy that
awaits all true believers!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, we share the blessed hope that, in
YESHUA, every day will be as sweet as Shabbat — a rest of love
freely given in truth and sincerity — a rest in peace and
tranquility, quiet and safety — a perfect rest in which you find
favor of the LORD JESUS! Have a good week, may gladness reign and joy
increase.
May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all
Israel, Amen.
The LORD reigns; HE is the KING robed in grandeur; the LORD has girded
HIMSELF with strength. The world also is set firm, that it cannot be
moved. YOUR Throne is set firm from of old; from eternity YOU have
existed. The streams sound, O LORD, the ocean sounds its thunder, the
ocean sounds it pounding. Above the thunder of the mighty waters, more
majestic than the breakers of the sea is the LORD, majestic on high.
YOUR decrees are indeed enduring; holiness befits YOUR House, O LORD,
for evermore. [Psalm 93]
Shavua Tov — Good Week!

Post  Admin Sat 13 Oct 2012, 8:09 pm

HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Endure the truth, though it be bitter.

CUSTOMS— BAR MITZVAH
The Jewish boy looks forward to his thirteenth birthday as one of the
most important events in his life. It symbolizes the beginning of
maturity for him. When the boy reaches Bar Mitzvah (Son of Commandment)
age, he is not only old enough to enjoy the ceremony but also to
appreciate its importance to himself, to his family and friends, and to
his people.

It is believed by Jews that up to the thirteenth year, the father bears
the sins of his son. After that the boy must account for his good or
evil actions. The father therefore, recites the following benediction
at the Bar Mitzvah ceremony: "Blessed are YOU, our GOD, KING OF THE
UNIVERSE, WHO has relieved me from punishment for this one (the son)."

Many months before this great occasion, the son is taught at the
synagogue how to wear the phylacteries and prayer shawl. He is taught
his various prayers in Hebrew, his religious duties, the HAFTORAH (a
term applied to the passages from the Books of the Prophets —
NEVI'IM), after the reading from the Books of Moses — TORAH) and
blessings, and how to write and memorize a speech in Hebrew. The young
man is now accepted as one of ten necessary for a Minyan (ten adult
men—without whom services cannot be conducted in the synagogue). He
is also entitled to be called on to read the TORAH in the public
services.

This Bar Mitzvah ceremony is celebrated in the synagogue and in the
home. Relatives and friends come to the synagogue to hear the boy chant
the HAFTORAH and deliver the oration. The Rabbi talks to him and
blesses him. After the service, the whole congregation is invited by
the family to the vestry rooms for refreshments. The boy receives gifts
and congratulations from everyone. He is now considered a man who is
responsible for his own sins.

The following prayer is in use in English Sephardic Congregations on the
occasion of a lad reaching the age of thirteen — his religious
majority: "O my GOD, and GOD of my fathers, on this solemn and sacred
day, which marks my passage from boyhood to manhood, I humbly raise my
eyes to YOU and declare with sincerity and truth that henceforth I will
observe YOUR commandments, and undertake to bear the responsibility of
all my actions towards YOU. In my earliest infancy I was brought within
YOUR SACRED COVENANT with Israel, and today I again enter as an active
responsible member, the pale of YOUR elect congregation, in the midst of
which I will never cease to glorify YOUR HOLY NAME in the face of all
nations.
Do, O HEAVENLY FATHER, hear this my humble prayer and bestow upon me
YOUR gracious blessings, so that my earthly life may be sustained and
made happy by YOUR ineffable mercies. Teach me the way of YOUR statutes,
that I may obey them and faithfully carry out YOUR ordinances. Dispose
my heart to love YOU and to fear YOUR HOLY NAME, and grant me YOUR
support and the strength necessary to avoid the worldly dangers which
beset the path lying before me. Save me from temptation, so that I may
observe YOUR HOLY LAW and those precepts on which human happiness and
eternal life depend. Thus I will every day of my life trustfully and
gladly proclaim: Hear, O Israel, the LORD is our GOD, the LORD is ONE!"

The Jewish Prophet Isaiah, speaks of ONE upon whose shoulder is the
government, the LAW (TORAH), the blessing, whose NAME is called
WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE
OF PEACE. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6] We find HIM in the Temple at the age
of maturity at that time (12) astounding the doctors of the Law with HIS
perfect knowledge, HIS wisdom, HIS authority in the SCRIPTURES. [see
Luke 2. 45 - 48] JESUS didn't need a ceremony nor a ritual nor a
celebration. HE fulfilled not only the Law, but the tradition of the
Jews as well. HE had no sins for which Joseph was responsible before HE
was twelve, but it was for our iniquities HE was bruised, for our
transgression HE was wounded. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 53. 5] Truly, THIS SON
did not suffer for HIMSELF as HE hung on that Altar on Golgotha; HE did
not bear the punishment of HIS OWN sins, but surely, surely HE bore our
diseases and carried our pains! The chastisement for our peace was upon
HIM and through HIS bruises was healing granted to us! Blessed be HIS
WONDERFUL NAME forever!

It is interesting to note that Jews use two words for "son" (and so it
is in the SCRIPTURES — see Proverbs/Mishle 30. 4; 31. 2). The one
word is "ben" which is a general term applied to each male child in a
Jewish family. The other is "bar" which has a greater meaning, the term
used of a son who has reached maturity; one who has attained to the age
of religious duty and responsibility. In other words, he is a
qualified, full-fledged, mature Jew!

In the Second Psalm, considered the MESSIANIC PSALM, the COMFORTER, the
HOLY SPIRIT, declares to the people of Israel (and all nations) that the
ONE WHO is ANOINTED (the MASHIACH) — the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD.
In verse seven, YESHUA is called by the term "BEN." Then in verse
twelve, Israel is admonished to do homage to HIM ("Kiss the SON") and
they are "blessed who put their trust in HIM." In this instance the
term "BAR" is used for SON. JESUS, the ANOINTED ONE is the SON (BEN) OF
GOD and from the beginning of time, HE is BAR MITZVAH, the SON OF THE
LAW as well!

[Special Note: 1961 was Bar Mitzvah Day in Israel for it was the 13th
Independence Day celebration. This was because of the number
"thirteen." It is at age 13 the boy is called Bar Mitzvah or Son of the
Law. According to Jewish authorities, the reason for 13 is because that
is the number of ALMIGHTY GOD'S attributes. {Personally, I find them to
be beyond measure!}]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! Praised to Almighty CREATOR God! We praise and bless
you O GOD for lovingly and graciously giving YOUR Holy Shabbat — the
Bride, the Queen...the imagery of beauty & radiance, testifying to the
tremendous affection that the Sabbath is enjoyed among YOUR people in
YOUR HOLY PRESENCE.
May yours be a Yom She'Kulo Shabbat — a day which is
all-Sabbath!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Time is not a locked room but an endless hallway. . . in every moment
there is a door.

STEADFAST ANCHOR
"All the utensils of the Tabernacle, for all its service, as well as all
its pegs and all the pegs of the court, shall be of copper." [Exodus
(Shemot) 27. 19 Tanakh, Torah]

The Tabernacle was held together by copper pegs. Our WONDERFUL INFINITE
CREATOR GOD planned even the little things and they were to be made
perfectly and "according to the pattern." ALMIGHTY GOD is interested in
the smallest detail of our lives and is concerned that these details
coincide with HIS Great Plan for us.

Another word to be used for these pegs is "nails." The Hebrew word,
"yathed" is translated "tent pin, nail, stake." [Judges/Shofetim 4. 21;
5. 26; Isaiah/Yeshayah 33. 20; 54. 2] These nails were hammered down
into the sand and cords [Exodus/Shemot 35. 18] were tied to them and
attached to the Tabernacle Curtain and the Linen Fence. The curtains
and pillars were pegged down to the sand by the cords and copper pins.

The LORD YESHUA is described as "a nail in a sure place."
[Isaiah/Yeshayah 22. 22 - 23 w/Revelation 3. 7] THE AUTHOR & FINISHER
of our faith holds us in righteousness and HE is our ANCHOR. "This HOPE
we have as an ANCHOR of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which
enters the PRESENCE behind the veil." [Hebrews 6. 19]

YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, the PIERCED ONE, has been judged for our sins, as
symbolized in the copper (copper signifies judgment). With the cords of
love, HE holds us straight in the desert. Our feet are in the copper
sockets (picturing our sins having been judged). We are held by the
ropes of GOD'S promises and crowned with HIS salvation.

These pins, in order to hold the Tabernacle, Tent, and Court Fence, had
to be hammered down deep in the sand. The PIERCED ONE sunk down into
death; HE descended, or was hammered down below the earth. We are
identified with HIM in HIS death, "I am crucified with CHRIST."
[Galatians 2. 20] The LORD JESUS was buried and we are identified with
HIM in HIS burial. {Baptism in water symbolizes this to the world.}
HE was judged for our sins, we are judged in HIM; MESSIAH was made sin
for us that we might be cleansed. YESHUA was identified with us in our
sins that we might be identified with HIM in HIS righteousness.

In order for the cord to be tied to the head of the nail, it must extend
above the ground. YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, GOD'S BELOVED SON, not only
died, but HE arose from the dead. We are identified with HIM in HIS
resurrection, for we rise with HIM and walk in newness of life. The
nail that is seen above the earth, as it were, is looking up into
Heaven. The believer is identified in MESSIAH YESHUA (the NAIL)
"looking for that blessed hope and glorious appearing of our GREAT GOD
and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST" [Titus 2. 13] ever with his face toward heaven
and the return of his REDEEMER & LORD.

"Bind the festal sacrifice with cords to the horns of the altar."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 118. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Just as the burnt
offerings were held in place, JESUS the SUBSTITUTE for our sins, was
bound to the horns of HIS alter, the Cross of Calvary with the cords of:
LOVE (Power) — "…having loved HIS OWN who were in the world, HE
loved them to the end." [John 13. 1]
OBEDIENCE (Protection) — "Fulfill MY joy by being like-minded,
having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind...This command I
have received from MY FATHER." [Philippians 2. 8; John 10. 18]
GODLY ZEAL (Help) — "MY zeal for YOUR House has been MY undoing; the
reproaches of those who revile YOU have fallen upon ME."
[Psalms/Tehillym 69. 9; John 2. 17]
JOY SET BEFORE HIM (Strength) — "JESUS, the AUTHOR & FINISHER of our
faith, WHO for the joy that was set before HIM endured the cross,
despising the shame." [Hebrews 12. 2]

The cords, fastened to the nails, had the power of holding and had the
power of drawing. GOD'S love binds us with cords to the "PIN" that is
in a Sure Place. "I drew them with human ties, with cords of love."
[Hosea (Hoshea) 11. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Through JESUS, THE PERFECT ONE,
the MOST HIGH GOD has drawn us to HIMSELF and HE has the power to hold
us, "to keep us from stumbling, and to present us faultless before the
PRESENCE OF HIS GLORY with exceeding joy!" [Jude 24] "Cast your burden
on the LORD and HE will sustain you; HE will never let the righteous man
be moved (fall, be shaken, collapse)." [Psalms (Tehillym) 55. 22 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] Because our BELOVED MASTER loves us, HE will hold us fast!
"To GOD our SAVIOR, WHO alone is wise, be glory and majesty, dominion
and power, both now and forever, Amen" [Jude 25]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
We give thanks to YOU for YOU are the LORD our GOD and the GOD of our
fathers; YOU are the ROCK of our lives, the SHIELD of our salvation
through every generation. We give YOU praise for our lives which are
committed into YOUR hands, and for our souls which are in YOUR charge,
and for YOUR miracles, which are daily; for YOUR wonders and YOUR
benefits, which are wrought at all times, evening, morning, and noon. O
YOU WHO are all-good, whose mercies fail not; YOU, MERCIFUL ONE, whose
loving-kindnesses never cease, we have ever hoped in YOU. For all these
things YOUR NAME, O our KING we continually bless and exalt for ever and
ever.

Post  Admin Fri 12 Oct 2012, 9:54 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Egotism is nothing more than the antiseptic that dulls the pain of
stupidity. [J. Oslo Sanders]

LET THEM ALONE
"Then the Lord said to me— Do not pray for the benefit of this
people. When they fast, I will not hear their outcry; and when they
present burnt offerings and grain offerings, I will not accept them. But
I will consume them by war, by famine, by disease, and by pestilence."
[Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 14. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im; also see 7. 16; 11. 14]

These are the words YEHOWAH spoke to Jeremiah regarding Judah (the
Southern kingdom of Israel) because of their wickedness in breaking HIS
covenant with them, HE intended to cast them out as HE had done to
Ephraim (the Northern kingdom of Israel) who had joined themselves with
idols. Therefore, they were to let him alone. [see Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 7.
12 – 15 & Hosea/Hoshea 4. 17]

Ephraim led the ten-tribe nation of Israel just before the ALMIGHTY sent
them into Assyrian captivity. By way of the Prophet Hosea, the
SOVEREIGN ONE told Judah to "let them alone" — they were hopelessly
given over to a reprobate mind-set worshipping and joined to pagan
idols; more accurately they were under the spell of them and their
cursed enchantment.

Those who join themselves to idols or speak evil against the HOLY ONE
today should also be let go. A time will come in spite of the
long-sufferings of the MERCIFUL MASTER, when further witnessing and
warnings becomes useless, even harmful; or when continued interaction
merely invites contamination with ungodliness. In such cases, we simply
must walk away leaving such people alone.

The LORD MESSIAH used severe language in reference to the deceitful
Pharisees of HIS OWN days: "Let them alone. They are blind leaders of
the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a
ditch." [Matthew 15. 14] The ANOINTED ONE, in HIS HIGH PRIESTLY PRAYER
to HIS HEAVENLY FATHER conveyed, "I pray for them. I do not pray for the
world but for those whom YOU have given ME, for they are YOURS." [John
17. 9] When the Pharisees and Sadducees came to CHRIST to test HIM, HE
called them, "Hypocrites! And a wicked and adulterous generation."
Then HE left them and departed. [Matthew 16. 1 - 4]

Similar warning from Paul who emphatically stated of those who come,
"having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people
turn away!" [2 Timothy 3. 5] Being the perfect example, the Apostle
Paul also warned us to "shun profane and idle babblings, for they will
increase to more ungodliness. " [2 Timothy 2. 16] That has never gotten
anyone anywhere. This speaks of the empty philosophizing, beliefs,
attitudes, and viewpoints of those who reject GOD, the PRECIOUS CREATOR,
and it will just increase unto more ungodly actions. Therefore, "have
no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose
them. For it is shameful even to speak of those things which are."
[Ephesians 5. 11 - 12]

If anyone sees his brother sinning a sin which does not lead to death,
he will ask, and HE will give him life for those who commit sin not
leading to death. THERE IS SIN LEADING TO DEATH. I do not say that he
should pray about that. All unrighteousness is sin, and there is sin not
leading to death." [1 John 5. 16 - 17] And according to Hebrews, not
things are purified with blood, for it reads: "According to the law
almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood
there is no remission." [Hebrews 9. 22]

The majority of these warnings, if not all, apply to people who once
knew and understood the truth of GOD and HIS WORD and may have even
professed to accepting it for a time, and then knowingly rejected the
ONLY SOURCE OF LIFE. When such men oppose our testimony, the RIGHTEOUS
ONE says to let them alone, trust HIM to contend with them for HE knows
their hearts, minds and thoughts. Since we do not, pray for them to
come to their senses while there is an opportunityÂ…but let them
alone so we are not casting our pearls before swine.

Because, "Righteousness exalts a nation, sin is a reproach to any
people." [Proverbs (Mishle) 14. 34 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Any nation led by
righteous leaders will produce a quiet and peaceable life in morality
and honesty, by establishing an ethical environment in which men can be
saved and come unto the knowledge of the Truth. We must pray for DIVINE
guidance for our leaders and express our concerns to them and our
fellow-man. After our admonitions (warnings) are rejected we must let
them alone and vote them out of office when such action applies.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Exalted and hallowed be GOD'S greatness in this world of YOUR creation.
May YOUR will be fulfilled and YOUR sovereignty revealed in the days of
our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel, Amen. May YOU,
MOST HOLY ONE, be blessed, praised & honoured, extolled & glorified,
adored & exalted above all else throughout eternity. Blessed are YOU
beyond all blessings & hymns, praises & consolations that may be uttered
in this world, Amen.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
In Israel, the inevitable rarely happens; the impossible often.

SIMCHAT TORAH
"O how I love YOUR TORAH! It is my meditation studied all day long. YOUR
commandments make me wiser than my enemies; they always stand by me."
[Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 97 - 98 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"SIMCHAT TORAH" means "REJOICING (Joy) OF THE LAW." Celebrated on the
23rd of Tishri (23 Tishri 5772/October 9, 2012), the twenty-third day of
the seventh month. SIMCHAT TORAH is the most joyous day on the Jewish calendar. It is the day when the reading of the TORAH is concluded in the synagogue every year and immediately afterward resumed. The custom of beginning to read Genesis/Bereshith at the same Synagogue service as
Deuteronomy/ Devarim is concluded; this is observed so as not to bring
the Law to an end at any time — the cycle continues!

On the "DAY OF REJOICING OVER THE LAW" special inducements are held out
to the younger members of the congregation to participate actively in
the public service. All assembled in the synagogue are called upon to
pronounce the blessing over the reading of the Law, and even boys
participate. In the house of worship the scrolls of the law, dressed in
beautiful velvet mantles of red, scarlet, blue and white, and ornate
with golden embroidery and inscriptions are taken out from the ARK OF
THE LAW, and placed lovingly in the arms of the men and boys. Little
children holding flags and burning candles praising and exalting in
celebration of the WRITTEN HOLY WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD follow in a
procession up and down the aisles.

Children should be reared and taught in the Laws of the ALMIGHTY, which
Jewish people feel is their religious commandment. It is written in the
JEWISH WRITINGS: "At five years, bound to the COMMANDMENTS; at fifteen
years, the study of the TALMUD." Jewish children are expected to receive
300 hours of religious training throughout the year. So anxious have
Orthodox Jews been for their sons to be diligent pupils that they are
careful to make the boy's first day at Hebrew school (Chadar) an
occasion he will remember all his life. This custom also shows how
deeply attached the Jewish people are to the TORAH (The FIVE BOOKS OF
MOSES: Genesis/Bereshith, Exodus/Shemot, Leviticus/Vayikra,
Numbers/B'Midvar, Deuteronomy/ Devarim) and how great has been their love of learning.

As the solemn procession circles the Synagogue auditorium, those
assembled there, kiss the garment of the SCROLLS, or touch the SCROLLS
with their fingers and then kiss their fingers. This act shows that the
study of GOD'S LAW is sweet. Their forefathers lived and died to
preserve these for the generations yet to come. Seven times they march
around the front of the Synagogue, singing joyful hymns in honour of the
TORAH, "Be glad and rejoice with the joy of the Law."

How sad is all this rejoicing, when we think of Israel's spiritual
darkness! It is true that "to them were committed the oracles of GOD."
[Romans 3. 2] However, "eyes have they but they see not"
[Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 5. 2] and "blindness in part is happened unto Israel
until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in." [Romans 11. 25]

WHEN Israel's eyes are opened to behold their MESSIAH. . . then it will
be SIMCHAT TORAH in reality!
"All you peoples, clap your hands, raise a joyous shout for GOD. For
the LORD MOST HIGH is awesome, the GREAT KING over all the earth; HE
subjects peoples to us, sets nations at our feet. HE chose our heritage
for us, the excellence of Jacob whom HE loved. Selah
"GOD ascends midst acclamation; the LORD, to the blasts of the trumpet.
Sing, O sing praises to GOD; Sing, O sing to our KING; for GOD is KING
over all the earth; sing a Maskil (hymn of praise). GOD reigns over the
nations; GOD is seated on HIS Holy Throne. The great of the peoples are
gathered together, the assemblage of Abraham's GOD; for the shields of
the earth belong to GOD; HE is greatly exalted." [Psalms (Tehillym) 47.
1 – 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Blessed is the LORD our GOD, KING of the Universe WHO sanctifies us with
HIS mitzvoth and gave us HIS Holy Feasts. May we each have a
life-changing experiencing and "Awake!" as the blast of the Shofar is
dramatically sounded and strive to be holy, even as the LORD our GOD is
abundantly faithful and holy.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath of Simchat TORAH! We honor and praise the LORD YESHUA,
the ONE WHO gives true Sabbath peace and rest and separates the sacred
from the ordinary; the sacred from the mundane. A truly wonderful
Sabbath of Z'man Simchataynu —time of our rejoicing!
The Promised Land of Israel seems small, but it is so great. Thus, we
celebrate together: Shabbos, holy-days, the survival and potential of
the Jewish people; in short everything we can be. Simchat Torah is not
an afterthought, it is the holy-day that gives everything else
perspective. Thus, we joyfully proclaim: "Chag Sameyach!" Rejoice and
honor the wonders of the SOVEREIGN ONE and HIS HOLY WORD on SIMCHAT
TORAH! Vezot ha'Bracha — "and this is the blessing" ...HIS
SACRED WORD to us.
A Chassidic rabbi once said, that during the month of Tishri, a Jew
serves GOD with one's whole being: On Rosh ha'Shanah with
one's brain, since we remember our deeds; on Yom Kippur with
one's heart, since fasting strains the heart; on Sukkot with
one's hands, since we grasp the lulav and etrog; and on Simchat
TORAH with one's feet, when we dance with the TORAH.

Post  Admin Tue 09 Oct 2012, 9:36 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The TALMUD says that in the days of MESSIAH, all Jews will dwell
together in one gigantic Sukkah. This emphasizes the good and pleasant
need for us to dwell in unity; perhaps the reason we take the four
spices— the Etrog, Lulav, Myrtle & Willow —bind them together
and wave them in all directions. Thus declaring that all Jews and
Gentiles are a part of the same unit; pledging to discover how all these
parts can work together to accomplish a HIGHER good.

SHEMINI ATZERET
"You shall take for yourselves on the first day (of Sukkos) the fruit of
the beautiful Hadar Tree (the Etrog), branches of a Palm Tree (Lulav),
boughs from the Myrtle Tree (Hadassim) and Willows of the brook
(Aravos), and you shall rejoice before the LORD your GOD for seven days.
You shall observe it as a Festival of the LORD for seven days in the
year; you shall observe it in the seventh month as a law for all time,
throughout the ages." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 23. 40 - 41 Tanakh, Torah]

Shemini Atzeret (Shemini: eight; Atzeret: solemn assembly — the 8th
day of Sukkot celebration) is likened to the special feast of a king for
his beloved son: For a full week the king celebrated with all his
kingdom. After this week of festivities, the king said to his son, "It
is difficult for me to part with you. Please stay another day to
celebrate." {Atzeres also means "holding back" — referring to the
king who held back his son from leaving with the rest of the
celebrants.}

For the full seven days of Sukkot, seventy sacrifices were brought into
the Bais Hamikdash (Holy Temple in Jerusalem) on behalf of all the
nations. If the nations of the world would have known the value of the
Temple for them, they would have surrounded it with fortresses in order
to protect it. GOD ETERNAL set aside an eighth day of celebration on
which only one holiday sacrifice was offered, this one on behalf of the
Jewish nation, and it became a day of unique celebration between CREATOR
GOD and HIS chosen people.

Simchat Beit ha'Sheavah ("Happiness of the House of the Water-Drawing" )
is one of the many practices during this festival. Water and wine are
poured out from different golden pitchers so they mingle together as
they fall onto the ground; thus signifying prayer for abundant rain
necessary for the growth of crops. The Temple celebration during Sukkot
was highlighted by the Ceremony of Water-Drawing for the holyday
offerings. This ceremony was unique in that all year the libations on
the Altar were performed with wine, but on Sukkot, plain water was used.
Yet it was said that "whoever has not seen the joy at the place of the
water-drawing has never seen true joy in his life!" [Sukkah 51] The
joy expressed in this ceremony was the joy of the simple and pure
acceptance of the ALMIGHTY GOD'S will, as symbolized by clear water;
contrasting to the acceptance that is based on the joy of understanding,
symbolized by wine. Spiritually, it prophesied the coming of the LORD
MESSIAH YESHUA and the outpouring of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Observant Jews take the "Arba Minim (taking of the Four Kinds)" of
plants in his hands into the family Sukkah (booth), recites a
benediction, then shakes these three times in all four directions (which
forms a cross) to indicate that GOD'S glory fills the whole universe.
This is done in fulfillment of the commandment, "On the first day you
shall take the product of hadar trees (Hebrew: p'rietz hadar —
the fruit of beautiful trees), branches of palm trees, boughs of leafy
trees, and willows of the brook, and you shall rejoice before the LORD
your GOD seven days." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 23. 40 Tanakh, Torah] The
four plants enumerated in the TORAH are the Etrog (lemon-like citron
– symbolizing a world of abundance and peace for all people), Lulav
(palm branch), Hadassim (myrtle) and Aravos (willows).

In our oral tradition, it is explained that each of these Four Kinds
corresponds to a different type of person, from the Etrog, which has
both refreshing tastes (constant TORAH learning) and delightful
fragrance (good deeds) to the Aravah (willow), which has neither of
these qualities. Despite their differences, the TORAH instructs us to
take these four and bind them together, for they complement one another.
So too does the Jew - and Gentile - complement one another; and only
when there is true harmony among all people can we hope for an ideal
existence. May it happen soon and in our time!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath of Shemini Atzeret! We honor and praise the LORD
YESHUA, the ONE WHO gives true Sabbath peace and rest and separates the
sacred from the ordinary; the sacred from the mundane. A truly
wonderful Sabbath of Z'man Simchataynu (the time of our rejoicing)!
The TALMUD says that in the days of the MESSIAH, all Jews will dwell
together in one gigantic Sukkah. This underscores the need for Jewish
unity. Perhaps this is the reason why on Sukkot we take the four species
— Etrog, Lulav, Myrtle and Willow — bind them close together,
and wave them in all directions. We declare that all Jews are part of
the same unit. And, we pledge to discover how all these parts can work
together to accomplish our lofty goals.!
We are extremely grateful to the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL for HIS miracles
that are with us all day and for the wonders and goodness of every
moment.
"Chag Sameyach!" — a joyous Sukkot to you and yours, may these days
be extraordinary and blessed as we celebrate the 8th Day of Assembly.

Post  Admin Fri 05 Oct 2012, 11:04 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
For every problem, there is an opportunity.

STAND STILL
"It is not for you to fight this battle; STAND STILL, wait, and see your
deliverance by the LORD, O Judah and Jerusalem; do not fear or be
dismayed by this great multitude; go forth to meet them tomorrow and the
LORD will be with you." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 20. 17 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

The Ammorites, Mobites and Edomites had organized a great multitude
seeking to destroy Judah under King Jehoshaphat. However, the king and
his people came together to "seek the LORD GOD" in prayer for
deliverance, and the SPIRIT OF THE SOVEREIGN ONE spoke through Jahaziel
assuring them that "the battle is GOD'S, not yours." [2 Chronicles
(Dibre Hayamin Bet) 20. 15 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Then the OMNIPOTENT CREATOR sent the answer as to how the battle was to
be won, the strange instructions were "Stand Still (Hebrew: yatsav)."
Just watch the MERCIFUL MASTER'S wondrous hand accomplish it! And HE
did. All their enemies were constrained by the LORD to fight and
destroy each other, without the Israelites having to fight at all. In
the same way, at the Red Sea when everything looked hopeless, "Moses
said to the people— Have no fear! Stand Still! and witness the
deliverance which the LORD will work for you today." [Exodus (Shemot)
14. 13 Tanakh, Torah] So the whole multitude obeyed and all Pharaoh's
armies were overthrown in the middle of the Sea.

In Isaiah's day, when Israel was tempted to call on pagan Egypt for help
against pagan Assyria, the HOLY ONE said concerning Israel's armies.
"Truly, I call her Rahab-Hem-Shebeth (her strength is to sit still)."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 30. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

As the ship was being beaten, thrashed and defeated in the storm, and
the terrified sailors were about to abandon the boat, when Paul warned,
"Unless these men stay in the ship, you cannot be saved." [Acts 27. 31]
So they stayed (stood still), and the ALMIGHTY ONE spared every man.

When we have done all we can and the situation seems hopeless, this is
the time to "sit still" and trust our INVINCIBLE GOD to work it out in
HIS OWN good way. "Only you must not rebel against the LORD. Have no
fear then of the people of the land, for they shall be as food for our
consumption; their protection has departed from them, but the LORD is
with us. Have no fear of them!" [Numbers (B'Midvar) 14. 9 Tanakh, Torah]

The unique LORD GOD SUPREME specializes in things thought impossible.
Do you have any rivers you think are un-crossable? "Be still, and know
that I am ELOHEY; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted
in the earth! The LORD YEHOWAH T'SEVAOT (LORD GOD OF HOSTS) is with
us; the ELOHEY of Yaacov is our FORTRESS." [Psalms (Tehillym) 46. 10 -
11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!!
We pray that YOU continue to bestow YOUR blessings on us, our FATHER &
KING. Teach us to seek YOU evermore within the sanctuary of our souls,
within the tabernacle of YOUR WORD, and in the congregation of YOUR
worshipers! May the message of GOD'S WORD and the love of YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH the SAVIOR bless your heart and make you fully whole
(holy).
"Baruch ata Adonoy, Elo-heinu Melech ha'olam, asher kid'shanu
bi'mitzvo-sav, vi'tzivanu lay-shave ba-sukkah. —Blessed are YOU,
LORD our GOD, KING of the Universe, WHO sanctified us with HIS mitzvot,
and instructed us to sit in the Sukkah."
Celebrating Chol ha'Mo'ed — another intermediary Festival
Day #3 of Tabernacles.

Post  Admin Thu 04 Oct 2012, 1:04 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Intellectual confidence and moral courage is essential to bring
conversion to its necessary conclusion; and to be a CHRIST-like- one is
to identify with MESSIAH YESHUA as LORD & SAVIOR .

GOD IS TRUTH
"For what if some (Jews) did not believe? Will their unbelief make the
faithfulness of GOD without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let GOD be
true but every man a liar. As it is written— That YOU may be
justified in YOUR WORDS, and may overcome when YOU are judged." [Romans
3. 3 - 4]

Paul is confirming that Jews and Gentiles all have faults, that is why
we so need a RIGHTEOUS SAVIOR to redeem us from sins grip. He is also
adamant that no matter what error mankind makes, GOD is true to HIS
NAME. Knowing this, unfortunately numerous followers of MESSIAH are so
intimidated by the arrogant unbelief of the supposed intellectuals of
the world that they either reject or compromise or ignore the difficult
teachings of HOLY SCRIPTURE. This is a most grievous devastating error
on their part, for all of GOD'S sayings are justified and HE will
surely triumph over all those who presume to judge HIM and HIS
LIFE-GIVING WORD.

The genuine facts of the EXALTED, ALL-WISE GOD are not determined by
popular vote or by the majority of opinions of so-called intellectuals.
Truth is determined and substantiated by the MASTER CREATOR HIMSELF, and
none other. The Hebrew word, `emeth is unsurpassed denoting
constancy, certain, true, truthful, trustworthy, faithful, right, sure,
verity, reality, genuine, authentic, real, legitimate. When YOU speak,
LORD, YOU are found just and blameless when YOU judge. [Psalms/Tehillym
51. 4] "For the WORD OF THE LORD is right, HIS work is done in truth.
HE loves what is right and just; the earth is full of the LORD'S
faithful care." [Psalms (Tehillym) 33. 4 -5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The only accurate standard of truth is the WORD OF GOD. It is good to
explain GOD'S WORD to those open to hearing truth, but never reason it
away or compromise just to accommodate being accepted by the world's
philosophy, varied beliefs, interpretations or ways of thinking. "Truth
is the essence of YOUR WORD, and every one of YOUR righteous judgments
are eternal." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 160 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"But the LORD is the TRUE GOD; HE is the LIVING GOD, the EVERLASTING
KING." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 10. 10a Tanakh, Nevi'im] "And we know that
the SON OF GOD has come and has given us an understanding, that we may
know HIM WHO is true; and we are in HIM WHO is true, in HIS SON JESUS
CHRIST. This is the TRUE GOD and ETERNAL LIFE." [1 John 5. 20]

The LORD YESHUA affirmed that HE is "the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE."
[John 14. 6] Then HE prayed for HIS faithful followers— "Sanctify
them by YOUR truth. YOUR WORD is truth." [John 17. 17] "He who has
received HIS testimony has certified that GOD is true." [John 3. 33]

Our prayer is that we all openly, boldly, honestly and confidently
declare the whole word of GOD as we must to a lost and dying world! Now
to the EVERLASTING GOD alone WHO is wise be glory through YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH forever. Amen.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
O LORD, our GUIDE even unto death, grant us, we pray, grace to follow
YOU through out lives. In our daily duties, bow our wills to simple
obedience, grant patience under pain or frustration, strict truthfulness
of word and deed, humility, kindness; in great acts of duty or
perfection, if YOU should call us to them, uplift us to self-sacrifice
and courage to lay down our life for YOUR truth's sake, or for our
brother. Thank YOU, our HEAVENLY FATHER, for YOUR righteousness and
keeping us under YOUR sheltering wing.
Have a blessed Z'Man Simchataynu —the time of our rejoicing! May
your joys increase as you draw nearer to our Great ETERNAL God, the Lord
of GLORY.
"Chag Sameyach!" — a joyous Sukkot to you and yours, may these days
be extraordinary and blessed.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Good teachers are mirrors as well as windows — they allow us to look
at ourselves and see the world.

CAUSE YOUR FACE TO SHINE
"The LORD bless you and protect you! The LORD make HIS face shine [deal
kindly] upon you and be gracious with you! The LORD bestow HIS favor
upon you and grant you peace (shalom)!" [Numbers (B'Midvar) 6. 24 - 27
Tanakh, Torah]

The first active form of the word "shine" is here in this well-known
blessing, the Aaronic Benediction for the children of Israel. True
light comes only from GOD THE CREATOR, since "GOD IS LIGHT." [1 John 1.
5] We must continually receive the SON shining in our hearts to
sustain our spiritual life, just as the world depends on the sunshine
for its physical existence.

This prayer of blessing appears seven other times in HOLY SCRIPTURE:
"Make YOUR face shine upon YOUR servant; as YOU are faithful, deliver
me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 31. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "May GOD be gracious
to us and bless us, and cause HIS FACE to shine upon us. Selah" [Psalms
(Tehillym) 67. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "O LORD GOD OF HOSTS, restore us;
cause YOUR face to shine on us that we may be delivered." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 80. 19; 80. 3, 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Make YOUR face shine
upon YOUR servant, and teach me YOUR Laws." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 135
Tanakh, Kethuvim] "O our GOD, hear now the prayer of YOUR servant and
his plea and cause YOUR face to shine upon YOUR desolate sanctuary, for
the LORD'S sake." [Daniel (Danyel) 9. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Since HOLY OMNIPOTENCE GOD of all flesh dwells "in the unapproachable
light" [1 Timothy 6. 16], HE shines on us for salvation, spiritual
knowledge, and daily teachings and instructions through HIS
ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, WHO is "THE LIVING WORD" made
FLESH. "In HIM was life, and the LIFE was the LIGHT of men." [John 1.
4] "For it is GOD WHO commanded light to shine out of darkness WHO has
shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of
GOD in the face of JESUS THE CHRIST." [2 Corinthians 4. 6] To HIM
alone be honor, praise, glory, dominion, majesty and everlasting power
forever and ever. Amen!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
The LORD shall yet comfort Zion and shall choose Jerusalem. The wise
serve the LORD OF GLORY out of their great love for HIM, in reverent
fear.
Our prayers for you and your family is for an abundance of peace and
truth to each of you as we celebrate Yamym Noraym — High Holy Days.
"Chag Sameyach — a joyous Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles/ Booths)!"

Post  Admin Tue 02 Oct 2012, 2:46 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
From the time of the Exodus — "Freedom" is spoken with a Hebrew
accent.

SUKKOT — FEAST OF BOOTHS
"You shall dwell in booths for seven days; all who are native Israelites
shall live in booths, in order that future generations may know that I
made the Israelite people live in booths when I brought them out of the
land of Egypt, I am the LORD your GOD." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 23. 42 - 43
Tanakh, Torah]

"Sukkot" is the Hebrew word for the Festival of the Feast of
Tabernacles, also known as "Chag ha-Asif (Feast of Ingathering) ." This
is the Season of our Rejoicing for the TORAH commandment to rejoice is
mentioned more often in connection with the holy day of Sukkot then for
any other. It is a national holiday that begins at sunset this evening
memorializing the journey from the land of slavery to the Land of
Promise. Sukkot is called "zman simchateinu — the time of our joy"
. . . living in the shadow of GOD'S embrace.

This Feast emphasizes thanksgiving, celebration and a temporary dwelling
place. It commemorates the 40-years of wandering in the desert and
marks the final harvest of the agricultural year. It is the custom to
dwell in Sukkah (booths, huts) decorated with various kinds of fruits
and flowers. This symbolizes the house where you and the ALMIGHTY
CREATOR will dwell together.

There are nine traditional fruits that are hung in the Sukkah,
symbolizing nine characteristics and attributes of the HOLY TRUE &
LIVING GOD that HE desires for us to have in our lives. The nine fruits
include pomegranates, figs, dates, oranges, apples, grapes, pumpkins,
etrog (citron—similar to a lemon), and the fruit from locust tree (a
chocolate-type fruit). The nine FRUITS OF THE SPIRIT are symbolized by
the nine fruits hanging in the Sukkot. "The FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness, self-control. " [Galatians 5. 22 - 23] There is a remarkable
correlation between the two.

Sukkot is indeed a time of rejoicing, following closely after Yom
Kippur, the Day of Atonement (forgiveness, covering). Sukkot begins on
the fifteenth day of Tishri, at the time of the ingathering of the crops
— a further cause for rejoicing, as one looks with a sense of
humbleness knowing the LOVING MASTER, blessed be HE, has prospered and
blessed the fruits of one's labor of the previous months.

The seven-day celebration of Sukkot (Feast of Tabernacles/ Booths) is the
last of the three pilgrimage festivals, the holy days on which the Jews
were commanded to go up to Jerusalem. A time when all Jewish males over
the age of thirteen were commanded to come to Jerusalem to celebrate.
This is called "Sholosh Regolim" — the other two Feasts are Pesach
(Passover) and Shavuoth (Pentecost). Women and children joined these
pilgrimages whenever possible.

Sukkot is celebrated for 7 days. However, the 8th day which follows is
a Solemn Assembly known as "Shemini Atzeres (holding back)" —which
is also a Sabbath and a complete holiday in its own right. This speaks
of the future earthly MESSIANIC KINGDOM when peace and righteousness
shall rule and GOD'S people will be observing the Seventh Day Sabbath
during that time they are "resting in GOD" and "GOD resting in HIS
people." Then follows the new day, the New Beginning, the first day of
Eternity. . . a Sabbath forever!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
"Chag Sukkot Sameyach! " — a joyous Sukkot (Festival of Booths)
celebrating the ALMIGHTY ONE'S joyous seasons of life. Delight yourself
by making it a life-changing experience! Praise to GOD, the LORD OF
HOSTS for HE is good, HIS mercy endures forever. May Judah be saved and
Jerusalem dwell in safety!
We were greatly blessed when the HOLY ONE has brought us out of slavery
from Egypt (Passover) and took HIS people directly to Mount Sinai. There
HE gave us the Law (Shavuoth) to keep us free from slavery (to sin).
Then, gave us YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. . . to keep us free and give us true
peace and rest (Sukkoth/Booths) .
May these days be extraordinary and richly blessed! Have a truly
wonderful Z'man Simchateinu — the time of our rejoicing! And living
in the shadow of GOD'S embrace, we find full joy!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

In Israel, in order to be a realist, you must believe in miracles.

WISDOM AT CREATION
"I (DIVINE WISDOM) was there when HE (MIGHTY WORD) set the heavens into
place; when HE fixed the horizon upon the deep; when HE made the heavens
above firm, and the fountains of the deep gushed forth." [Proverbs
(Mishle) 8. 27 - 28 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

DIVINE WISDOM, is speaking here. This is an awe-inspiring description
of some of CREATOR GOD'S handiworks when, through YESHUA the SECOND
PERSON in the TRINITY, HE was creating and making all things.

Proverbs 8:27 speaks of the pre-existence of JESUS before the creation
of the space, time, and universe itself. The earth was "without form"
with only a great mass of water, rock and mud. Then GOD OMNIPOTENT "set
a compass" on the face of the deep, began the gravitational forces which
brought it into a sphere form. The Hebrew word "chuwg" means compass,
sphere. It is the same word where it is said that the HOLY ONE
"enthroned above the circle (sphere, vault) of the earth." [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 40. 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Then the MIGHTY CREATOR "established the clouds above." This cloud,
thin mists or vapor would refer to the great water canopy "above the
expanse." [Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 7 Tanakh, Torah] Finally, the MASTER
DESIGNER strengthened the fountains of the deep, locking them under the
"foundations of the earth." [Proverbs (Mishle) 8. 29 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
The same strong fountains of the deep would later be broken up at the
time of the Great Flood. When the earth was completed, ALMIGHTY GOD
"rejoiced in HIS inhabited world." [Proverbs (Mishle) 8. 31 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

"Now sons, listen to me (Wisdom & Understanding) — Happy are they
who keep my ways. Heed discipline and become wise; do not spurn it.
Blessed is the man who listens to me, coming early to my gates each day,
waiting outside my doors. For whoever finds me finds life and obtains
favor from the LORD, but he who misses me destroys himself; all who hate
me love death." [Proverbs (Mishle) 8. 32 - 36 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Wisdom
comes as we incline our ear to our MASTER'S VOICE, apply HIS LIFE-GIVING
WORD to our lives for understanding, revere the LORD GOD OF HOSTS and
keep HIS commandments. GREAT is the GOD OF CREATION! GREAT is HIS
wisdom! GREAT is HIS love regarding the sons of man expressed in the
beloved LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH our REDEEMER & SAVIOR.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer is that the HOLY LORD GOD,
blessed be HE, WHO separates the holy from the secular, forgive our
sins, guide our life, and fill our up-coming week with HIS DIVINE
PRESENCE.
We praise YOU, O LORD GOD, for great is YOUR love for us and YOUR
compassion boundless. Be gracious to us that we may understand and
fulfill the teachings of YOUR REVERED WORD. Enlighten our eyes in YOUR
Law that we may cling to YOUR commandments. Thank YOU for YOUR saving
power, for from YOU comes our help. Draw us nearer to YOU to serve YOU
in faithfulness. Joyfully, we lift our voices and proclaim YOUR PRECIOUS
NAME.
May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be experienced daily as we enter
the Season of the Festival of Tabernacles. Wishing each of you, "Chag
Sameyach" — a joyous Sukkoth; may these days be extraordinary and
richly blessed! Have a truly wonderful Sabbath of Z'man Simchataynu
—a time of our rejoicing!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Sometimes forgetting can be a higher form of love than forgiving.

SCAPEGOAT, THE AZAZEL
"And he (Aaron) shall take from the congregation of the children of
Israel two kids of the goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt
offering. Aaron shall offer the bullock of the sin offering, which is
for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house. He shall
take the two he-goats and present them before the LORD at the door of
the Tabernacle of the Congregation. Then Aaron shall cast lots upon the
two goats; one lot for the LORD, and the other lot for the scapegoat.
And Aaron shall bring the he-goat on which the LORD'S lot fell, and
offer him as a sin offering. But the goat on which the lot fell to be
the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before the LORD, to make
atonement over him, and to let him go for a scapegoat into the
wilderness." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 16. 5 – 10 Tanakh, Torah]

The Hebrew word for scapegoat or goat of departure is azazel — the
word also refers to the evil one or his dwelling. Literally, the lots
were cast so that one goat would go to the LORD and the other (according
to tradition) to the Devil. However, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL said the
goat was to be led away into a solitary land bearing the sins of the
people after the High Priest laid his hands on the head of the goat and
confessed over it the sins of the people. [Leviticus/Vayikra 16. 20
– 22] This ceremony was one of GOD'S historical pictures
foretelling of the "coming atonement" for human sin by the death of
MESSIAH YESHUA. The PRINCE OF PEACE became sin for us bearing our sins,
taking on HIMSELF the punishment that was due us.

On the Day of Atonement under the OLD COVENANT, the High Priest would
cast lots on two goats. The lot which fell on one goat would be "slain
unto the LORD" — then it's blood would be carried by the same
High Priest into the Holy of Holies and placed upon the Mercy Seat. The
High Priest had already taken the blood of the bullock into the Holiest
for himself. When he returned to the people after their atonement —
it was the second time he had made his appearance before them! And so
it is with the GREATER HIGH PRIEST WHO came once to give HIS OWN blood
and then after the FATHER'S acceptance of the Sacrifice when the
sins of the people were forgiven, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH would again
return — at the appointed time!

The goat which was slain unto the LORD and its blood shed, is a type of
a new and living way into the PRESENCE OF GOD in the Holy of Holies:
"For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to
the Law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet
wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people,
saying, "This is the blood of the covenant which GOD has commanded you."
Then likewise he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle and all the
vessels of the ministry. And according to the Law almost all things are
purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no
remission. Therefore it was necessary that the copies of the things in
the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things
themselves with better sacrifices than these. For MESSIAH has not
entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true,
but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of GOD for us; not
that HE should offer HIMSELF often, as the high priest enters the Most
Holy Place every year with blood of another — HE then would have had
to suffer often since the foundation of the world; but now, once at the
end of the ages, HE has appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of
HIMSELF... And every priest stands ministering daily and offering
repeatedly the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins. But this
MAN, after HE had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at
the right hand of GOD." [Hebrews 9. 19 – 26; 10. 11, 12]

The other lot would fall upon the Azazel/Scapegoat: "Aaron shall lay
both his hands on the head of the live goat, confess over him all the
iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions in
all their sins, putting them on the head of the goat, and shall send him
away by the hand of a fit man into the wilderness. And the goat shall
bear upon him all their iniquities to a land not inhabited; and he shall
release the goat in the wilderness." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 16. 21 –
22 Tanakh, Torah]

This scapegoat would carry the sins of the people far from them; it was
a substitute; it was made sin that the people might be excused from the
penalty of their sins! And YESHUA ha'MASHIACH was the SCAPEGOAT, for
HE was the SUBSTITUTE WHO died outside the city of Jerusalem ("in the
wilderness" – Hebrews 13.12) WHO carried our sins far from us, WHO
was made sin that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in HIM!
JESUS THE CHRIST has done more than cover up our sins, HE has blotted
them out completely! HE has moved them as far as the east is from the
west; HE has cast them behind HIS back to be remembered against us No
More!

ALMIGHTY GOD ordained that the Blood should be the only way of
approaching HIM. This was shown from the very beginning with Adam and
Eve in the Garden of Eden. After they transgressed HIS Law, GOD HIMSELF
slew an animal, shedding its blood, made coats of skin and with them,
and covered their nakedness. Their sins were covered through the
shedding of blood, by the sacrifice of substitute.

"Cain brought an offering to the LORD from the fruit of the ground; and
Abel, for his part, brought the choicest firstlings of his flock…and
the LORD had respect to Abel and his offering, but to Cain and his
offering HE paid no heed." [Genesis/Bereshith 4. 3 - 5] This looks like
the institution of Blood Sacrifice, right at the start, as the condition
of man's acceptance with the RIGHTEOUS & HOLY GOD — an archaic
hint, and the beginning of a long line of pictures and predictions of
MESSIAH'S Atoning Death for the sin of mankind.

When the LORD commanded the people of Israel concerning their
deliverance from Egypt, HE commanded them to take the firstling of the
flock, an innocent lamb without spot or blemish, to shed its blood and
place that blood on the doorpost, then said: "When I see the blood I
will pass over you!" That first Passover, they had to stay where the
blood was, had to stay inside their houses until morning; they had Blood
Protection!

"Much more then, having now been justified by HIS blood, we shall be
saved from wrath through HIM." [Romans 5. 9 – 10] "Not with the
blood of goats and calves, but with HIS OWN blood HE entered the Most
Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption. For if the
blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the
unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall
the blood of CHRIST, WHO through the ETERNAL SPIRIT offered HIMSELF
without spot to GOD, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve
the LIVING GOD?" [Hebrews 9. 12 - 14] Only the blood of GOD'S
ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON can give life eternal. Not blood flowing in the veins
of the man, even the perfect GOD-MAN, but the blood shed of HIM WHO was
with GOD in the creation of all things. Only such blood has power to
purify an unclean soul and give a perfect body at the time of the
resurrection so that we may appear unashamed, at last, in HIS presence.

Before the foundation of the earth, in the mind of GOD ETERNAL there was
set a Day of Atonement for both Jew and Gentile which was fulfilled
2,000 years ago on the Altar of Calvary! We who have accepted GOD'S
wondrous salvation can praise the LORD declaring: "MESSIAH YESHUA is
my LORD, HE is my REDEMPTION for HE was slain in order that I might be
admitted to life everlasting; HIS blood covering my sins."

There is no longer a priest to cast lots, no scapegoats to send into the
wilderness, and no blood to be poured on the Mercy Seat. For those who
know the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA OF ISRAEL, has finished it all. Our
WONDERFUL SAVIOR, by the sacrifice of HIMSELF, has inscribed our names
in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE and we shall never be separated from HIM.
No longer is it necessary that a goat or a bullock or even a fowl (a
ceremony still performed by many Orthodox Jews over all the world
substituting a fowl for a man — called Kapporas Schlagen) shed
it's blood for the remission of sins once every year, for GOD'S
LAMB shed HIS blood once and for all, Jew or Gentile who believes in HIM
can rejoice that there is a Yom Kippur (Day of Covering) for time and
eternity, made possible through the PERFECT KAPPORAH (Sacrifice) WHO is
YESHUA (JESUS), the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF THE TRUE & LIVING GOD!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
I praise and thank YOU, ALMIGHTY ONE, for YOU comfort and delight my
soul. YOU are my ROCK and my REFUGE, in YOU alone do I have hope and
place my trust completely. May gladness reign and joy increase
throughout this Season of the LORD'S Festivals!

Post  Admin Thu 27 Sep 2012, 1:39 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
None of us are immune to the deep pain of not being forgiven.

PRAYER OF ATONEMENT
"O LORD, open my lips, and my mouth shall declare YOUR praises. YOU are
blessed, O LORD our GOD and GOD of our fathers, GOD OF ABRAHAM, GOD OF
ISAAC, GOD OF JACOB. YOU are the GREAT, MIGHTY & REVERED GOD, the MOST
HIGH GOD, WHO bestows loving kindnesses, and possesses all things, WHO
remembers the pious deeds of the patriarchs, and in love will bring the
Redeemer to their children's children for YOUR NAME'S sake.

Remember us unto life, O KING, WHO delights in life, and inscribe us in
the BOOK OF LIFE, for YOUR OWN sake, O ETERNAL LIVING ONE. O KING,
HELPER, SAVIOR & PROTECTOR. Blessed are YOU, O LORD, the SHIELD of
Abraham. YOU, O LORD, are mighty forever. YOU quicken the dead, YOU
alone are mighty to save.

YOU, O LORD, sustain the living with loving-kindness, quicken the dead
with great mercy, support the falling, heal the sick, loose the bound,
and keep YOUR promise to them that sleep in the dust. Who is like YOU,
LORD of mighty acts, or who resembles YOU, O KING ETERNAL, WHO kills and
quickens, and causes salvation to spring forth?

Who is like YOU, FATHER OF MERCY, WHO in mercy remembers YOUR creatures
unto life? Yes! Faithful are YOU to quicken the dead. Blessed are YOU,
O LORD. YOU are holy and YOUR NAME is holy, and holy beings praise YOU
daily. There is none like YOU, INIMITABLE HOLY ONE! Selah

Now, therefore, O LORD our GOD, impose YOUR awe upon all YOUR works, and
YOUR dread upon all that YOU have created, that all works may fear YOU
and all creatures prostrate themselves before YOU that they may all form
a single band to do YOUR will with a perfect heart, even as we know, O
LORD our GOD, that dominion belongs to YOU, strength is in YOUR hand,
and might in YOUR right hand, and that YOUR NAME is to be feared above
all that YOU have created.

Give then glory, O ETERNAL ONE, unto YOUR people, praise to them that
fear YOU, hope to them that seek YOU, and free speech to them that wait
for YOU, joy to YOUR land, gladness to YOUR Holy City, a flourishing
horn to David, YOUR servant, and a clear shining light to the SON OF
JESSE, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, YOUR ANOINTED — speedily and in our days.

Then shall the just also see and be glad, and the upright shall exult,
and the pious triumphantly rejoice, while iniquity shall close her
mouth, and all wickedness shall be wholly consumed like smoke, when YOU
make the dominion of arrogance to pass away from the earth.

YOU, O LORD, shall reign! YOU alone over all Your works on Mount Zion,
the dwelling place of YOUR glory, and in Jerusalem, YOUR Holy City —
as it is written in YOUR HOLY WORD: "The LORD shall reign forever, your
GOD, O Zion, for all generations. Hallelu'YAH. " [Psalms (Tehillym) 146.
10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

YOU, O LORD GOD are holy, and dreaded is YOUR NAME and there is no god
beside YOU, as it is written: "The LORD OF HOSTS is exalted by judgment,
the HOLY GOD proved holy by righteousness and retribution. " [Isaiah
(Yeshayah) 5. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

YOU, MASTER, have chosen us from all peoples, YOU have loved us and
taken pleasure in us, and have exalted us above all tongues; YOU have
sanctified us by YOUR commandments, and brought us near unto YOUR
services, O LORD our KING, and have called us by YOUR RIGHTEOUS & HOLY
NAME. Blessed be our GLORIOUS LORD GOD OMNIPOTENT! Amen"

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Kol Nidre (All Vows)
Tonight we will stand in the synagogue and declare our sins,
intentional and unintentional, and ask the ALMIGHTY to forgive us,
pardon us and grant us atonement.
At this time of renewal of our collective conscience, we should start
by loving each other and learn to accept each other, helping them to
stand up for GOD'S TRUTH; to accept the responsibility of defending
the Promised Land of Israel from its many enemies. Defend us also from
our sins of impurity of the lips and foolish speech, of running to do
evil, of scoffing, evil speech and arrogant expressions which caused our
thoughts to fly to wickedness and dictatorial abuse of power, not only
here but throughout the western world.
We must learn to measure our words, whatever things are true, whatever
things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure,
whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there
is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — we should
meditate on these things. Please, LORD GOD OF HOLINESS, give us the
patience to await the truth. . . create in us a clean heart and renew an
unwavering spirit within us; uphold us by YOUR GENEROUS SPIRIT and keep
us ever mindful of our obligations to YOU and to others. We give you
our thanks, our praise, and our humble hearts. Amen!

[This is the 39th day of Repentance]

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The HOLY BIBLE is an EXTRAORDINARY BOOK, expressing many norms and
principles that have maintained their validity throughout thousands of
years. It proclaims a vision of faith for men that is still valid and
awaiting realization.

YOM KIPPUR
"In the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, from evening to
evening, you shall afflict your souls, exercise self-denial; and do no
work at all — For on this day atonement shall be made for you to
cleanse you of all your sins — It is a SABBATH OF REPENTANCE — a
statute forever." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 16. 29-31; 23. 27, 32 Tanakh,
Torah]

Yom Kippur is the day of afflicting your souls. Perhaps the most
important day of the Jewish Year, this is a day for repentance and
forgiveness. Compare Leviticus to James and learn see for yourself how
this "Sabbath of Sabbaths" is meaningful for true followers of CHRIST
today.

Jews afflict their soul on Yom Kippur by fasting & praying. On the Day
of Atonement in the Temple, the High Priest would announce: "O YEHOWAH,
YOUR people, the House of Israel, have committed iniquity, have
transgressed, have sinned before YOU! I beseech YOU by the NAME of
YEHOWAH, make YOUR atonement for the iniquities and for the
transgressions and for the sins wherein YOUR people, the House of
Israel, have committed iniquity, have transgressed and sinned before
YOU; as it is written in the TORAH of YOUR servant Moses, saying—
"For on this Day atonement shall be made for you to cleanse you from all
your sins; that you may be clean before YEHOWAH." [Leviticus (Vayikra)
16. 30 Tanakh, Torah]

ALMIGHTY GOD pronounced a terrible decree upon those who did not have a
day in which their sins were atoned for. But GOD OMNIPOTENT, in HIS
mercy, has provided the WAY in which everyone can have a Day of
Atonement — the ONLY WAY of forgiveness. . . HIS NAME is "YESHUA
— IMMANU-EL, GOD with us."

"For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have assigned it to
you for making an atonement for your lives upon the altar; it is the
BLOOD, as life, that effects expiation." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 17. 11
Tanakh, Torah]

This is a prophecy of MESSIAH, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL to come. HE would
be the INNOCENT SUBSTITUTE. Even as the innocent bulls and goats of the
OLD COVENANT ceremonies who "shed their blood" — would die — and
by this death the sins of the people would be forgiven. The OMNISCIENT
LORD OF HOSTS gave HIS SON, JESUS, as THE ATONEMENT for the soul when
HIS blood was shed for our sin!

On Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), "Aaron shall take two he-goats and
shall place lots upon them; one marked for the LORD and the other marked
for Azazel (Scapegoat) ...and Aaron shall bring forward the goat
designated by lot for the LORD, which he is to offer as a sin offering."
[Leviticus (Vayikra) 16. 8 - 9 Tanakh, Torah]

The goat, on which the lot marked for the LORD GOD fell, was slain —
its blood carried by the High Priest into the Holy of Holies and placed
upon the Mercy Seat. The High Priest had already taken the blood of a
bullock into the Holiest for himself. When he returned to the people
after their atonement — it was the second time the priest had made
his appearance before them! And so it is with the GREATER HIGH PRIEST
WHO came once to give HIS OWN blood. After the FATHER'S acceptance of
the SACRIFICE, when the sins of the people were forgiven, YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH will return at the appointed second time!

"Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat and confess
over it all the iniquities and transgressions of the Israelites putting
them on the head of the goat; and it shall be sent off to the
wilderness." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 16. 21 Tanakh, Torah] This Scapegoat
(Hebrew: Azazel) would carry the sins of the people far from them; it
was a substitute; it was made sin that the people might be excused from
the penalty of their sins! YESHUA ha'MASHIACH was the SCAPEGOAT, for
HE was the SUBSTITUTE WHO died outside the city of Jerusalem. . . (in
the wilderness — "outside the gate" Hebrews 13.12). JESUS of
NAZARETH was made sin that we might be made the righteousness of GOD in
HIM! HE carried our sins away from us, removing them as far away as the
east is from the west. MESSIAH has done more than "cover up" our sins,
HE has blotted them out with HIS precious blood; they are to be
remembered against us no more! "Much more then, having now been
justified by HIS blood, we shall be saved from wrath through HIM. For if
when we were enemies we were reconciled to GOD through the death of HIS
SON, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by HIS life."
[Romans 5. 9 - 10]

Our WONDERFUL SAVIOR, by the sacrifice of HIMSELF, has inscribed our
names in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE and we shall never be separated from
HIM. No longer is it necessary that a goat or bullock have its blood
shed for the remission of sins once every year, for GOD'S LAMB shed HIS
blood ONCE FOR ALL. Jew or Gentile who believe in HIM can rejoice that
there is a Yom Kippur for time and eternity made possible through the
PERFECT KAPPORAH (sacrificial covering) this UNIQUE ONE is Yeshua, THE
ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF THE LIVING GOD!

Have you found the blood of atonement? "Behold! The LAMB OF GOD WHO
takes away the sin of the world!" [John 1. 29] Are you trusting in
GOD'S SMITTEN LAMB, the SUPREME SACRIFICE? The LORD MESSIAH YESHUA,
JESUS — the only ONE WHO can satisfy your soul!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Shabbos Shabbason!
According to the TORAH, Yom Kippur is called "Shabbos Shabbason" — a
day of total rest...may you be greatly blessed this Awesome Day!
O LORD our GRACIOUS & MERCIFUL GOD, YOU have given us in love this
Sabbath Day for holiness and rest, and the Day of Atonement for pardon,
forgiveness, and atonement that we may, in love, obtain pardon thereon
for all our iniquities.
O KING, pardon and forgive our iniquities and restore YOUR people; and
let our eyes behold YOUR return in mercy to Zion. Please strengthen the
bonds of friendship and fellowship among all the inhabitants of our
land. Plant virtue in every soul, and may the love of YOUR HOLY NAME
sanctify every home and every heart. Praised are YOU, O LORD, GIVER of
peace. We again bless YOU, O LORD, WHOSE NAME is ALL-GOOD, and unto
WHOM it is becoming to give thanks!
Shabbat Hagadol — have a Blessed Sabbath!" Prepare to meet your GOD!

Post  Admin Tue 25 Sep 2012, 5:44 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The fruit of wisdom comes through righteousness which virtue teaches are
for temperance, good judgment, justice and courage — of which
nothing is more profitable in life.

WOE TO CORRUPT LEADERS & DECEIVING PROPHETS
"You have profaned MY NAME among MY people for handfuls of barley and
for morsels of bread; killing people who should not die, and keeping
people alive who should not live — by your lying to MY people who
listen to lies." —thus says the LORD GOD EXALTED. [Ezekiel
(Yehezke-El) 13. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

These are abominable, debased and corrupt sins that are world-wide that
are being or have been legalized, even force-funded with the American
tax dollar. The sins specifically: Abortion and Homosexuality. "For
they are a nation void of sense, lacking in all discernment. "
[Deuteronomy (Devarim) 32. 28 Tanakh, Torah] Chapter 18 of Leviticus
lists all Sexual sins, Chapter 20 of Leviticus, is replete naming the
assorted sins and the penalties for breaking GOD'S laws. By
abortion, they are killing those who should not die; and promoting
homosexuality, they are keeping alive those who should not live. These
are the two big issues we are facing today in politics and society in
general.

Just as GOD'S WORD foretold, in the last days the evil ruler "will
speak pompous words against the MOST HIGH and shall persecute the saints
of the MOST HIGH. He will intend to change times and law. Then the
saints shall be given into his hand for a time and times and half a time
(three and one-half years)." [Daniel (Danyel) 7. 25 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Consider the VOICE of the SOVEREIGN OF THE UNIVERSE: "MY heart within
me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake. I am like a
drunken man, and like a man whom wine has overcome, because of the LORD,
and because of HIS HOLY WORDS. For the land is full of adulterers; for
because of a curse the land mourns. The pleasant places of the
wilderness are dried up. Their course of life is evil, and their might
is not rightÂ…They commit adultery and walk in lies; they also
strengthen the hands of evildoers, so that no one turns back from his
wickedness. All of them are like Sodom to ME, and her inhabitants like
Gomorrah.
Thus says the LORD OF HOSTS: "Do not listen to the words of the
prophets who prophesy to you. They make you worthless; they speak a
vision of their own heart, not from the mouth of the LORD. They
continually say to those who despise ME— 'The LORD has said, "You
shall have peace" —and to everyone who walks according to the
dictates of his own heart, they say— `No evil shall come upon
you.'
Behold, a whirlwind of the LORD has gone forth in fury — A violent
whirlwind! It will fall violently on the head of the wicked. The anger
of the LORD will not turn back until He has executed and performed the
thoughts of HIS heart. In the latter days you will understand it
perfectly (seeing as sin of every description is a rampant, obsessive
epidemic everywhere in the world today)."
"I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran. I have not spoken to
them, yet they prophesied. But if they had stood in MY counsel, and had
caused MY people to hear MY WORDS, then they would have turned them from
their evil way and from the evil of their doings. Therefore behold, I,
even I, will utterly forget you and forsake youÂ…and will cast you
out of MY PRESENCE. And I will bring an everlasting reproach upon you,
and a perpetual shame, which shall not be forgotten." [see
Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 23. 9 - 40]

"Those who plow iniquity and sow trouble reap them. And they perish by a
blast from GOD, and they are consumed by the breath of HIS nostrils."
[Job (Iyob) 4. 8 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "They sow wind, and reap the
whirlwind." [Hosea (Hoshea) 8. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "He who sows
iniquity (injustice, wickedness) will reap sorrow; his rod of anger will
fail." [Proverbs (Mishle) 22. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

LORD GOD forewarned: "Repent and turn away from all your loathsome
abominations. Repent, and turn from all your transgressions, so that
iniquity will not be your ruin. Cast away from you all the
transgressions by which you have committed, and get yourselves a new
heart and a new spirit that you may not dieÂ…For I have no pleasure
in the death of one who dies— declares the LORD GOD — Repent,
therefore, and live!" [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 18. 30 - 32 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]

We have all sinned, but that is no excuse to embrace, accept or adhere
to it. Sin separates us for the HOLY GOD OF HEAVEN; like a disease, sin
unchecked will spread throughout our lives and affect all that we say,
think and do. There is ONLY ONE PATH that is right and we need
GOD'S help to stay on it. Only then can we walk in the light of HIS
SON, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, and share HIS SPIRIT OF COMFORT. "Oh, that
they were wise, that they understood this, that they would consider
their latter end!" [Deuteronomy/ Devarim 32. 29]

The TRUE & LIVING GOD will be merciful to those who trust in HIM and to
all who call upon HIM for atonement for HE is good and ready to forgive.
Turn to the MASTER, the ENDURING SURE FOUNDATION, and do the works
befitting repentance.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
O GOD and FATHER, hear me as I pray with the Psalmist of old: So teach
us to number our days rightly, that we may obtain a wise heart. And,
may the hallowed influences of this day give us strength to do YOUR
perfect will, O GOD, with a steadfast, submissive and loving spirit and
with a heart of wisdom. Amen.
The LORD loves truth and peace: "Speak each man the truth to his
neighbor; give judgment in your gates for truth, justice and peace; let
none of you think evil in your heart against your neighbor; and do not
love a false oath. For all these are things that I hate, says YEHOWAH,
the GOD OF HOSTS." [Zechariah/Zecharya h 8. 16 - 17]
We pray for YOUR soon return, LORD, and expectantly desire to see YOUR
glorious face. Speedily come, we pray!
Days of AweÂ…Day 37 of Repentance until Yom Kippur.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Wisdom is like gold ore in the ground mixed with sand and rock; Logic is
the mercury used to extract the gold.

STONES OF REMEMBRANCE
"Take two lazuli stones and engrave on them the names of the sons of
Israel: Six of their names on the one stone, and the names of the
remaining six on the other stone, in the order of their birth. On the
two stones you shall make seal engravings — the work of a lapidary
— of the names of the sons of Israel. Having bordered them with
frames of gold, attach the two stones to the shoulder-pieces of the
ephod, as Stones for Remembrance of the Israelite people, whose names
Aaron shall carry upon his two shoulder-pieces for remembrance before
the LORD." [Exodus (Shemot) 28. 9 - 12 Tanakh, Torah]

Just as the stones were secured on the shoulders of the HIGH PRIEST,
MESSIAH YESHUA bears those HE has redeemed upon HIS shoulders
[Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6] which is the place of courage and strength. HE
promises, "I will strengthen you and help you, I will uphold you with MY
victorious right hand." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 41. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The
ministry of NEW COVENANT priests is to bear one another's burdens
[Galatians 6. 2] — the strong bearing the infirmities of the weak.
[Romans 15. 1] We are commanded to pray for one another and to
strengthen one another in the LORD. [Luke 22. 32; James 5. 16]

Not only does the shoulder signify courage and strength, but it is the
place representing leadership of government and is in open or public
view. The LORD JESUS leads HIS people, they are DIVINELY governed; HIS
ministry is to HIS people, open and public.

There was a certain arrangement and a certain stone to be placed on the
High Priest's shoulders. Six names of the sons of Israel were engraved
in an onyx (lazuli) stone on one shoulder, and six names of the sons of
Israel were engraved in another onyx (lazuli) stone on the other
"according to birth."

The names are associated with the stones as a very part of them for they
were engraved permanently there. Each of the names had the same kind of
stone. . . no difference. Each of us who are sons of the MOST HOLY LORD
GOD, born into GOD'S Kingdom of priests, are the same; we are equally
recognized in YESHUA ha'MASHIACH according to our New Birth. We are
each engraved on the same kind of stone, encased in gold, brilliant,
flashing with the luster of the fiery HOLY SPIRIT, lifted high upon the
shoulders of our great HIGH PRIEST, borne up above the earthly ties and
boundaries to a place in the heavenlies! There is a precious truth told
in the meaning of these names. {Note: We will draw attention to just
the first and last names, which are all-inclusive. }

"According to birth" tells us that since Reuben was the firstborn of
Israel (Jacob), his name engraved first in order on the shoulder stone.
Reuben means "behold (see) a son." This directs our attention to the
GREATER SON, the PRECIOUS LORD JESUS. The angels announced HIS birth in
Beit'Lehem; the prophet Isaiah declared of HIM, "A CHILD is born, a SON
is given." The ALMIGHTY OMNIPOTENT ONE informed the disciples
concerning CHRIST, "This is MY BELOVED SON, in whom I am well pleased.
Hear HIM!" [Matthew 17. 5] And who of GOD'S people can forget that most
precious verse, "GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN
SON." [John 3. 16] "Reuben! Behold, a SON!"

The last name on the shoulder stones was Benjamin. Remember the story
of his birth? Rachel, because she was dying, named him "Benoni" —
"son of my sorrow." But Jacob (Israel) named him "Benjamin" — "son
of my right hand." JESUS OF NAZARETH was born into this world and
fulfilled the first name, BENONI, for HE was a MAN of sorrows,
acquainted with grief. MESSIAH YESHUA was despised and rejected of men;
HE suffered, bled and died, the SON OF SORROW. Benjamin was the only
son named by his father, Israel. Son of my right hand signifies an
exalted and honored place — in an equal position. The LORD YESHUA
gave HIS life (ONE PERFECT SACRIFICE for sins forever) and is now seated
at the right hand of the ETERNAL & TRUE SUPREME GOD in an exalted,
honoured place. The HEAVENLY FATHER says of JESUS, the ONLY-BEGOTTEN
SON, "BENJAMIN! SON OF MY RIGHT HAND!"

Through the regenerating power of the HOLY SPIRIT, we are born of the
MOST HIGH & LOFTY EVER-LIVING ONE and given the right to be the sons of
GOD. The GREATER SON, our LORD & MESSIAH, rejoices in the presence of
the angels when a sinner receives HIM. And, it is as though all heaven
rejoices with CHRIST JESUS when they see this take place. Now it can be
said of this sinner, "Reuben! Behold, a son!"

After this new birth, there is joy and yet there is sorrow for the dying
soul of men as we enter into "the fellowship of HIS sufferings." But, if
we suffer with our WONDERFUL REDEEMER, we shall also reign with HIM in
glory. We can only wear the "golden crown" at last IF we were able to
wear the "thorny one" first. As sons in THE SON will be exalted to the
position that JESUS assured: Blessed is the man who endures to the END.
. . he shall receive a Crown of Life. [James 1. 12] "To him that
overcomes I will grant to sit with ME on MY Throne." [Revelation 3. 21]
Then, in that day, the LORD GOD OF HOST will say to us, "Benjamin! son
of MY right hand!" May we all be richly blessed by hearing those words
spoken to us.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
May this day be a life-changing experience as you consider your latter
end and turn to the LIVING GOD of all grace and mercy! Our beloved
friends, our prayer is that the ETERNAL GOD OF HEAVEN will hear our
prayer and give us a renewed spiritual awakening, increase our love and
brotherhood among us by MESSIAH YESHUA, HIS SON'S atoning blood, and be
inscribed for a good and sweet year. May your life be offered up to GOD
as a priest would offer up a repentance sacrifice! Have a long life
filled with GOD'S peace, and abundant rich blessings. May the HOLY
CREATOR, the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN ever be praised for HIS mercy and
loving-kindness to us.
[This is the 38th day of Repentance; a time Jews take upon themselves to
more carefully fulfill the Torah's Commandments to both God and
their fellow man.]

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Our AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL SAVIOR, by the sacrifice of HIMSELF, has
inscribed our names in the BOOK OF LIFE and we shall never be separated
from HIM.

A SEARCH FOR BLOOD ATONEMENT
The following account has many anonymous authors each told in various
ways for Yom Kippur:

One spring evening an elderly Jewish gentleman related the following
experience to a gathering of Jews. He said: "This is Passover week
among you my Jewish brethren, and as I sat here I was thinking how you
will be observing it. You will have put away all leaven from your
houses; you will eat the matzoth (unleavened wafers) and the roasted
lamb. You will attend the Synagogue Services, and carry out the ritual
and directions of the Talmud, but you forget, you have everything but
that which YEHOWAH required first of all, HE did not say — "When I
see leaven put away; or when I see you eat the matzoth; or the lamb; or
go to the synagogue" — but HIS WORD was "When I see the blood, I
will pass over you." [Exodus (Shemot) 12. 13 Tanakh, Torah] Ah, my
brethren, you can substitute nothing for this. You must have
blood...Blood. ..BLOOD!

As he repeated this word with increasing emphasis, his black eyes
flashed. "Blood! that is an awful word for one who reveres the ancient
oracle, and yet has no sacrifice." Turn where he will in THE BOOK, the
blood meets him, but let him seek as he may, he cannot find it in the
Judaism of the present.

"I was born —he went on— in Israel, nearly 70 years ago. As a
child, I was taught to read the Law, the Prophets and the Psalms. I
attended the synagogue and learned Hebrew from the Rabbis early in life.
At first I believed what I was told, that ours was the true religion,
but as I grew older, and studied the Law more intently, I was struck by
the place the blood had in all the ceremonies outlined there, and
equally struck by its utter absence in the ritual in which I was brought
up."

"Again and again I read in the 12th chapter of Exodus and Leviticus 16
thru 17. The latter chapters especially made me tremble as I thought of
the Great Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur) and the place the blood had
there. Day and night one verse would ring in my ears, "It is the BLOOD
that makes atonement for the soul." [Leviticus/Vayikra 17. 11] I knew
I had broken the Law. I needed atonement. Year after year, on That Day,
I beat my breast as I confessed my need of it, but it was to be made by
blood, and there was no blood!

"In my distress, at last, I opened my heart to a learned and respected
rabbi. He told me that the ALMIGHTY ONE was angry with HIS people.
Jerusalem was in the hands of the Gentiles (this before 1967), the
Temple was destroyed, and a Mohammedan mosque was reared up in its
place. This is the only spot on earth where we dare shed the blood of
sacrifice in accordance with Deuteronomy 12 and Leviticus 17 was
desecrated and our nation scattered. That was why there was no blood.
GOD HIMSELF had closed the way to carry out the solemn service of the
Great Day of Atonement. Now, we must turn to the TALMUD and rest on its
instructions. We must trust in the mercy of ALMIGHTY GOD and the merits
of the fathers.

"I tried to be satisfied, but could not be. Something seemed to say that
the Law was unaltered, even though our Temple was destroyed. Nothing
else but BLOOD could atone for the soul. We dare not shed blood for
atonement elsewhere than in the place the LORD GOD MOST HIGH had chosen.
Then we were left without any atonement at all!

"I was over 30 years of age when I left Israel and came over to
Constantinople, with my still unanswered question ever before my mind,
and my soul exceedingly troubled about my sins. One night I was walking
down one of the narrow streets of that city when I saw a sign telling of
a meeting for Jews. Curiosity led me to open the door and go in. Just as
I took my seat, I heard a man say, "the blood of YesHUa ha'MASHIACH,
His Son cleanses us from all sin." [1 John 1. 7]

"This was my first introduction to Christianity, but I listened
breathlessly as the speaker told how HOLY GOD had declared that "without
shedding of blood there is no remission" [Hebrews 9. 22], that HE had
given HIS SON, the LAMB OF GOD, to die, and all who trusted in HIS blood
were forgiven all their iniquities. This was THE MESSIAH of
Yeshayah/Isaiah 53 — THE SUFFERING SERVANT of Tehillym/Psalms 22!

"Ah, my brethren, I had found the blood of atonement at last. I trusted
it, and now I love to read the NEW COVENANT and see how all the shadows
of the Law are fulfilled in MeSSIAH YESHUA. HIS blood has been shed for
sinners. It has satisfied OMNIPOTENT GOD, and it is the ONLY MEANS of
salvation for either Jew or Gentile."

Have you found the blood of atonement? "Behold! THE LAMB OF GOD WHO
takes away the sin of the world!" [John 1. 29] Are you trusting in
GOD'S SMITTEN LAMB, the SUPREME SACRIFICE?

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath may gladness reign and joy increase
throughout this Season of the LORD'S Festivals!
While this breath of life is in me, HOLY LORD of all worlds, I worship
YOU. Help us, O GOD, to banish from our hearts all vain glory, pride of
worldly possessions, and self-sufficient leaning on our own reason.
Fill us with YOUR SPIRIT of humility, meekness and the elegant grace of
modesty that we may grow in wisdom and in reverence. May we never forget
that all we have and prize is but lent to us, a trust for which we must
render account to YOU. O HEAVENLY FATHER, put into our hearts the love
and awe of YOU, that we may consecrate our lives to YOUR service and
glorify YOUR NAME in the eyes of all men. Amen
Gmar Chatima Tova! — Literally: A good and final sealing
(Idiomatically: May you be inscribed [in the BOOK OF LIFE] for good!

Post  Admin Fri 21 Sep 2012, 9:15 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Some people think that "original sin" is a sin that no one has thought
of before.

BLINDNESS OF ISRAEL
"What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have
obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Just as it is written—
YEHOWAH has given them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes that they should not
see and ears that they should not hear, to this very day.— And
David says— Let their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling
block and a recompense to them. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they
do not see, and bow down their back always." [Romans 11. 7 – 10]

Regarding Israel's blindness, Moses wrote: "To this day YEHOWAH has not
given you a mind to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear."
[Deuteronomy (Devarim) 29. 3 Tanakh, Torah] The blindness of Israel
toward GOD ALMIGHTY is one of the saddest aspects of our world today as
well. Even Orthodox Jews, who strongly affirm their belief in the OLD
TESTAMENT passages, are seemingly unable to see what the HOLY WRITTEN
SCRIPTURES clearly show, that the MESSIAH REDEEMER has already came and
left.

In the first book of the TORAH, Moses wrote: "The scepter shall not
depart from Judah, nor a ruler's staff from between HIS feet, until
Shiloh comes; and the homage of peoples be HIS." [Genesis (Bereshith)
49. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Ancient Jewish commentators agree that "Shiloh"
(another title of MESSIAH — also a location where the Tabernacle was
first located, which represented the PRESENCE OF GOD) means "the exact
image and reflection of GOD." This very fact should prove to modern
Jewish expositors that MESSIAH has already come, for the scepter (the
symbol of national leadership) did depart from Judah, and that happened
shortly after JESUS, the ANOINTED ONE was crucified.

King David was the first descendant of Judah to attain the scepter of
leadership among the tribes of Israel. The Divine Promises were clear
that the MESSIAH would be of David's descendants. That the LORD JESUS'
legal father, Joseph, and HIS human mother, Miryam (Mary) were both in
the lineage of David is shown in the genealogies of Matthew 1:1-17 and
Luke 3:23-38, respectively. Both ancestry (Joseph's in Matthew;
Miryam's in Luke) were written when the genealogical records were still
intact in the Temple in Jerusalem. At that time, no one ever questioned
their validity even with intense opposition by the Jews to the claims of
MESSIAH YESHUA and HIS disciples that HE is indeed the ANOINTED REDEEMER
OF ISRAEL.

In 70 AD the records and the Temple were totally destroyed so that no
later claimant to the title could prove his right to the throne. GOD'S
ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, had come in the flesh, and was
brutally slain, so the scepter departed from Judah until the RIGHTEOUS
ONE, the LORD JESUS, comes again. It is certain that YESHUA OF NAZARETH
undeniably was the Jew's PROMISED MESSIAH, and we should pray that GOD
will soon open their eyes to see and believe.

May the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL return soon, and in our time that we may
behold our KING ETERNAL!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to GOD in heaven for HIS
loving-kindness. The LORD is mighty over us and we are ever thankfully
indebted to YOU, O MERCIFUL GOD. May we examine our ways, test them, and
return to YOU, O MOST HIGH.
Day 34 of Repentance "Ketiva Vahatima Tova — may your inscription
and seal be for good."
Shanah Tova, have a happy and healthy new year.

Post  Admin Thu 20 Sep 2012, 5:30 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
GOD hides HIMSELF in HIS manifestations and shows HIMSELF in HIS
concealments.

CUTTING OF THE COVENANT
"When the sun set and it was very dark, there appeared a Smoking OVEN,
and a Flaming TORCH which passed between those pieces. On that day the
LORD made a covenant with Abram." [Genesis (Bereshith) 15. 17 - 18
Tanakh, Torah]

EL ELYON, GOD MOST HIGH promised Abram that he and his descendents would
inherit the land of Israel. When Abram asked the LORD GOD how he would
know this for certain, the ALMIGHTY ONE commanded Abram "Bring ME
a three-year-old heifer, a three-year-old female goat, a three-year-old
ram, a turtledove, and a young pigeon." When Abram brought them, he cut
them in two down the middle and placed each piece opposite
the other, except the birds were not cut in half. [Genesis (Bereshith)
15. 8 - 10 Tanakh, Torah]

This "cutting of the covenant" was prepared by Abram; but entered into
by the great SOVEREIGN GOD alone in the form of a SMOKING OVEN (Hebrew:
'ashan tannuwr) and FLAMING TORCH (Hebrew: 'esh lappiyd), ALMIGHTY GOD
passed between the sacrificed animals. Abram did not pass between them,
as a great horror and darkness fell upon him and he fell into a deep
sleep during that time. [Genesis/Bereshith 15. 12]

The HOLY ONE knows man's weakness and that HE (ALMIGHTY GOD) alone would
remain faithful. This is an "unconditional blood covenant" called in
Hebrew the "karat berit." When the COVENANT MAKER made the promise to
Abraham, "because HE could swear by no one greater, HE swore by
HIMSELF...determini ng to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise
the immutability of HIS counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two
immutable things, in which it is impossible for GOD to lie." [Hebrews 6.
13 - 18]

To understand the importance of the consequence in the "cutting of the
covenant" one needs to realize first that, a covenant is entered into
between at least two people. If either party breaks the covenant, that
which happened to the sacrificial animals is what will happen to the one
who breaks the covenant. Therefore, in HIS great mercy, GOD caused
Abram to fall asleep while HE took on the entire responsibility for both
parties. "And now, O ADONAI YEHOWAH, YOU are ELOHIYM and YOUR WORDS
will surely come true, and YOU have made this gracious promise to YOUR
servant." [2 Samuel (Shemuel Bet) 7. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Our EXCEEDINGLY WONDERFUL GOD is faithful throughout time. Again as the
PILLAR OF CLOUD (Hebrew: 'ammuwd 'aanan) and the PILLAR OF FIRE (Hebrew:
'ammuwd 'esh), HE led the Israelites day and night bringing them out of
Egypt and through the wilderness. [Exodus/Shemot 13. 21] In HIS
manifold mercies, the MAJESTIC GOD OF ISRAEL did not forsake HIS people,
ever going before them to give them light and show the way they should
go in spite of the fact that they sinned against HIM continually with
their much murmurings, complainings, and making of the golden calf. The
SOVEREIGN HOLY ONE was continually present, even in their times of rest,
"over the Tabernacle a CLOUD OF THE LORD rested by day, and FIRE would
appear in the CLOUD by night, in the view of all the House of Israel
throughout their journeys." [Exodus (Shemot) 40. 38 Tanakh, Torah]

We look forward to the day when the HIGH & EXALTED ONE again becomes the
Pillar and Fire, "When the LORD has washed away the filth of the
Daughter Zion, and from Jerusalem's midst has rinsed out her infamy
in a spirit of judgment and in a spirit of purging the LORD
will create and spread over the whole shrine and meeting place of Mount
Zion, a CLOUD by day and SMOKE with a glow of FLAMING FIRE by night.
Indeed, over all the glory of HIS whole shrine shall hang a canopy which
shall serve as a pavilion for shade from heat by day and as a shelter
for protection against drenching rain or storm." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 4. 4
- 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The GREAT GOD OF PRESENCE will fulfill HIS
promises to us, performing HIS WORD, and completing HIS Covenant.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Remembering the Fast of Gedaliah (Tzom Gedaliah governor of
Judea) in commemoration of the end of Jewish rule in the Holy Land at
the time of the first destruction of the First Holy Temple some 2,500
years ago. The fast day is observed every year on Tishri. The events
are described in the HOLY BIBLE. [see Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 40 41; 2
Kings/Melakhim Bet 25.2526] The Fast Day was establish and called
the "Fast of the Seventh." (see Zechariah 8.19 Tishri is the 7th
month of the Hebrew calendar.) Gedaliah was probably killed on Rosh
ha'Shanah, but the fast was pushed off due to the holiday. The TALMUDIC
TRACTATE ROSH ha'SHANAH equates Gedaliah's murder with the destruction
of the Holy Temple, citing the fact that fasts were instituted to
commemorate both events.
This is the 33rd of 40 Days of Repentance, and the 3rd Day of Awe (10
Days of Awe) before Yom Kippur
We have a MIGHTY AWESOME GOD, and HE is on the Throne ruling over the
affairs of men. HE is worthy of all our praise and worship, even in
difficult times.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Many a man who does not fear GOD wraps himself in a Prayer Shawl.
[-Abraham ibn Esra]

TRADITION OR TRUTH
"This shall be to you a Law forever for all time: In the seventh month,
on the tenth day of the month, Tishri, you shall practice self-denial;
and you shall do no manner of work, neither the citizen nor the alien
who resides among you. For on this day atonement shall be made for you
to cleanse you of all your sins; you shall be clean before the LORD."
[Leviticus (Vayikra) 16. 29 - 30 Tanakh, Torah]

The "Days of Awe (Yamim Nora'im)" refers to the ten days between Yom
Teruah (Day of Trumpets/Rosh ha'Shanah) and Yom Kippur (Day of
Atonement) which can alter the sentence of one's fate if a person
repents of his sin, makes restitution, and returns to the GOD of
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Thus, the goal of Yamim Nora'im is to
return (teshuvah) to the BLESSED ONE with their whole heart, soul and
might. This results in DIVINE forgiveness and at-one-ment with GOD
which is only possible through MESSIAH'S forgiveness, extended to all
those who embrace HIS "once-for-all" sacrifice for our sin.

Among the many preparations for the awesome day of Yom Kippur (Day of
Atonement), and perhaps one of the most important, is the seeking of
forgiveness from friends, relatives and acquaintances — for actual
wrongs done or to soothe bad feelings that may have arisen during the
year. This is one aspect of our behavior that cannot be forgiven by the
Almighty unless forgiveness is first sought from those we have wronged.
Another custom practiced on the eve of Yom Kippur is to bathe (mikvah)
so we become pure in preparation for services and prayer.

"I have forgiven" are the eternal words spoken by the FAITHFUL, TRUE &
LIVING GOD on the tenth of the month of Tishri, after Moses prayed and
fasted for forty days on behalf of the Jewish people. This day became
Yom ha'Kippurim, the Day of Atonement, for all generations. Any time a
Jew (or Gentile) sincerely repents, he is forgiven. But, this day has a
special meaning because of the forgiveness granted to the Jews on this
day.

Yom Kippur and all the laws pertaining to it started before sunset, as
do all the holidays, with candle-lighting by the women of the house. A
24-hour (yahrzeit) candle is also lit in the house in honor of the
holiday, as it is a day of fasting and we cannot honor it with a special
festive meal. The light also reminds us of the Second Tablets that were
given to the Jewish people on this day, for light symbolizes the TORAH.

On Yom Kippur, no work (melachos) may be done and it is referred to as
Shabbos Shabbason — a total rest day just like Sabbath. In fact,
the doubled wording teaches us that even if Yom Kippur comes out on
Sabbath, the laws of Yom Kippur are observed on that day and are not
postponed, unlike other fast days when they occur on Shabbos.

On Yom Kippur, five activities are specifically prohibited: Eating and
drinking, anointing oneself with perfumes or oils, and washing (for
pleasure), wearing leather shoes, and marital relations. Men go to the
Synagogue (Shul) wearing white garments called kittels — and women
often dress in light colors or white, which symbolizes purity.

The evening service begins with the chanting of Kol Nidrei (all vows)
which is intended to nullify in advance all vows and promises which Jews
have been forced to make, or have made hastily in emergencies of sorrow
or passion. During each main prayer, we say the "Viduy (confession -
"we have sinned!")" —beating the heart with the right hand at each
phrase as we enumerate all the sins we may have committed and ask GOD OF
HOSTS, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL for forgiveness. The Viduy is phrased in
the plural ("we have sinned!"), for all Jews and Gentiles are
considered—one body—and we are all responsible for one another.

One of the unique prayers of Yom Kippur is the Avodah section in the
Musaf Prayer, which describes in detail the great and awesome service
performed on Yom Kippur by the Priests in the Holy Temple. This service
was highlighted by the entry of the High Priest into the Holy of Holies,
the place where the original tablets of the Ten Commandments were kept
in the Ark of the Covenant. Only on this one day a year, and only after
much preparation, was the High Priest alone allowed to enter. Described
are his preparations, the service, and the exciting conclusion —when
the Jewish people knew they were granted forgiveness. [Leviticus/Vayikra
16]

In these present times, Jews everywhere feel that by fasting and
repenting for twenty-four hours in obedience to GOD'S righteous
commandment, they are forgiven of all their iniquities and their names
are written in the BOOK OF LIFE. Although they no longer have a
Temple, nor a high priest, and no sacrifice, they are so convinced of
the need of an atonement, that rather than confess that they have
absolutely none, they teach that repentance and the day itself will
atone for all sin. [Hilchoth T'shuvah c.i 2.] But, the LORD GOD
stressed, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have
assigned it to you for making AN ATONEMENT for your lives upon the
altar; it is the BLOOD, as life, that makes expiation for the soul."
[Leviticus/Vayikra 17. 11 Tanakh, Torah] For this reason, blood must be
shed.

As believers in the LORD YESHUA, we know that we have a GREATER HIGH
PRIEST and HIS precious blood has been shed for sinners. YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH is our KIPPUR (Covering, Atonement). HE is the only means
of salvation for both Jew or Gentile and forgiveness is an eternal gift.
"Seeing then that we have a GREAT HIGH PRIEST WHO has passed through the
heavens, JESUS, THE SON OF GOD, let us hold fast our confession. For we
do not have a HIGH PRIEST WHO cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but
was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore
come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find
grace to help in time of need." [Hebrews 4. 14 - 16] "For such a HIGH
PRIEST was fitting for us, WHO is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate
from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens; WHO does not need
daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifices, first for HIS OWN
sins and then for the people's, for this HE did once for all when HE
offered up HIMSELF." [Hebrews 7. 26 - 27] HalleluYAH! Our GREATER HIGH
PRIEST, JESUS, has done it all . . . the price is paid in full; and we,
who believe, are bought back by HIS perfect atonement.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
May gladness reign and joy increase throughout this Season of the
LORD'S Festivals! Open your mouth in holiness and purity, with song and
psalm, and bless and praise, glorify and revere, sanctify and ascribe
sovereignty to the NAME of the DIVINE KING, the GREAT, MIGHTY & AWESOME
ONE...holy is HE. Take upon yourself the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven
and give sanction to one another to bless the CREATOR.
As we celebrate Yamym Noraym (High Holy Days); may GOD'S PRECIOUS
WRITTEN WORD be the center of your life. In it, you will find sweet
honey in the ROCK. Have a blessed day as you saturate yourself in the
sweetness of the MIGHTY LORD, the SOURCE OF LIFE.
"Chag Semayah — Good Holy Days!"

Post  Admin Mon 17 Sep 2012, 9:57 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
He who kneels before the ALMIGHTY ONE, can stand before any person.
FEAST OF TRUMPETS 5773
At some point in history, the Feast of Yom Teruah (a more correct term
for the Day of Trumpets — Leviticus/B' Midvar 23. 23 - 25) became the
day on which the Jewish New Year is celebrated, more popularly known as
Rosh ha'Shanah (celebrated in the 7th month, Tishri) which
translates as "Head of the Year." {Beginning tonight at sundown
—Sunday, September 16 this year} This Festival, a truly
extraordinary occasion, is both a memorial and a blessing.

The Feast of Trumpets is also called "Yom ha'Din" — the Day of
Judgment and "Yom ha'Zikkaron" — the Day of Remembrance. The
Apostle Paul was speaking of the appointed time when he declared: "HE
(the RIGHTEOUS ONE) has appointed a day on which HE will judge the world
in righteousness by the MAN (YESHUA THE ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD) whom
HE has ordained. HE has given assurance of this to all by raising HIM
from the dead." [Acts 17. 31 – 32] And again, warning of the
judgment to come: "It is a righteous thing with GOD to repay with
tribulation those who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest
with us when the LORD JESUS is revealed from heaven with HIS mighty
angels, in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know GOD,
and on those who do not obey the GOSPEL of our LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. "
[2 Thessalonians 1. 6 – 9]

According to Exodus/Shemot 12:2, however, "Nisan" is the month regarded
as the "head" of the year, "the beginning of months." There are two
other places in the Hebrew expression where "Rosh ha'Shanah
(beginning of the year)" is found in the HOLY SCRIPTURES. ["It is a
land the LORD your GOD cares for; the eyes of the LORD your GOD are
continually on it from the beginning of the year to its end."
Deuteronomy/ Devarim 11. 12 "In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, the
exile of King Jehoiachin, the fourteenth year after the City had fallen,
at the beginning of the year, the tenth day of the month — on that
very day." Ezekiel/Yehezke- El 40. 1]

My Jewish people celebrate their New Year's Day in a very solemn way,
unlike the Gentile practice. Jews examine their record for the past
year and make resolutions to do better the coming year. According the
Talmud, three books are opened on Yom Teruah/Rosh ha'Shanah before
the MIGHTY CREATOR, wherein the fate of the righteous, the wicked, and
those of a middle class are recorded. The names of the righteous are
immediately inscribed and they are sealed at once to life. The middle
class are allowed 10 days to repent and become righteous; while the
wicked are altogether blotted out of the Book of the Living.

Tradition alleges that Adam was created about the time of the Feast of
Trumpets. According to the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD, when YESHUA, the HOLY
ONE OF ISRAEL was born, that was certainly a new beginning. It will be a
time of renewal when MESSIAH YESHUA returns some glorious day. We are
in the final days of repentance leading to the Day of Atonement. Now is
the time to make things right with the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN & EARTH and
with each other before the coming final judgment. Maybe soon, on some
Feast of Trumpets, the LORD YESHUA will come for all who believe in HIM.
[1 Thessalonians 4. 13 - 18]

In fulfillment of the EVER-LIVING ONE'S command, Jews gather on Yom
Teruah/Rosh ha'Shanah during the day at the Synagogue where the most
prominent feature of the religious ceremony is the blowing of the Shofar
(ram's horn), marking the preparation of the Holy Festival. "Speak to
the Israelite people thus— In the seventh month, on the first day of
the month, you shall observe Sabbath rest, a sacred occasion
commemorated with loud blasts." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 23. 24 Tanakh,
Torah]

On this day, the Jewish people feel that the purpose for the sounding of
the Shofar is to arouse them to the serious contemplation of their
sinfulness as well as to their duty to lead a godly life. The Shofar is
blown as a summons for the conscience to awake and heed the call of
duty. For this reason, Yom Teruah/Rosh ha'Shanah is known as "The
Day of the Sounding of the Horn." Furthermore, on that day it is
concluded that RIGHTEOUS OMNIPOTENT JUDGE, the FAITHFUL & TRUE, calls to
memory the faults and sins of the past year, it is also known as "Yom
Zikrown" — The Day of Memorial. And, since Jewish people feel they
are then on trial before the JUDGE OF THE UNIVERSE, Rosh ha'Shanah
is also known as the Day of Judgment (Yom ha'Din). The prayers of the
Jewish people to our RIGHTEOUS LORD GOD is that the HOLY ONE, blessed be
He and blessed be HIS NAME, would inscribe their name in the "SEFER
ha'HAYYIM — THE BOOK OF LIFE."

"Tashlikh (casting off)" is another custom observed on this holy day.
In fulfillment of the text — "YOU will cast all our sins into the
depths of the sea." [Micah (Michah) 7. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Jews go to
the edge of a running stream and throw rocks into the water. In doing
so, prayers are recited concluding with the words: "May GOD cast our
sins into the depths of the sea!"

There is another great event which will be proclaimed by the blowing of
a trumpet! This event is going to rock this world as never any event in
her history! "For the LORD YAHOVEH HIMSELF will descend from heaven with
a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of GOD.
And the dead in MESSIAH will rise first. Then we who are alive and
remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the
LORD in the air. And thus we shall always be with the LORD." [1
Thessalonians 4. 16 - 17]

"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all
be changed — in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last
trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed." [1 Corinthians 15. 51 - 52]

The Eternal New Year began in the heart of those who accepted the
MESSIAH YESHUA as their SAVIOR, REDEEMER & LORD. At that moment the
heart was changed and all his sins were cast into the depths of the sea.
The trumpet of the LORD OF HOSTS sounded announcing this great event and
a new name was written in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE! This New Creation
is now awaiting the Sound of the Shofar (ram's horn) which shall usher
in that greatest of all events since the days of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH' S
flesh! O glorious day when the LORD shall come for HIS OWN — both
Jew and Gentile — who have accepted the redemption HE purchased
through HIS SUPREME SACRIFICE on the Altar of Calvary! Without
question, the incredible wonder of this Festival of Trumpets is a
memorial and a blessing.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcoming Yom Teruah/Rosh ha'Shanah — a Solemn Sabbath!
Rejoicing in the new day and continually praising ALMIGHTY GOD for HIS
FEASTS!
Our prayers for you and your family is that your life be filled with
health, happiness, and prosperity in knowing our EXTRAORDINARY LOVING
SAVIOR personally.
Remembrance (zichronot) is to never forget that the ALMIGHTY loves you
— imperfect, struggling, wonderful, one-of-a-kind you.
Have a sweet and good new year — have health and happiness, love and
may there be true peace in the Land of Israel and the whole world.
"L'Shanah Tova tikatevu v'techateimu — May you be inscribed and
sealed for a good year!"

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Man was created with two eyes, so that with one he may see GOD'S
greatness, and with the other his own lowliness.

MY BELOVED
"His mouth is deliciously sweet and all of him is delightful. Such is my
beloved (Hebrew: tovu), such is my darling (Hebrew: ray-ah), O maidens
of Jerusalem!" [Song of Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 5. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Only of the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA can it truly be said that "all of HIM is
delightful." Of all human lips and tongues, "HIS mouth is most sweet"
for "no man ever spoke like this MAN!" [John 7. 46] Even those who
simply heard JESUS' words "marveled at the gracious words which
proceeded out of HIS mouth." [Luke 4. 22] For "YOU are fairer than all
men; YOUR speech is endowed with grace; rightly has GOD given YOU an
eternal blessing." [Psalms (Tehillym) 45. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "How sweet
is YOUR WORD to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!" [Psalms
(Tehillym) 119. 103 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is the BELOVED ONE, "clear-skinned and ruddy,
preeminent among ten thousand." [Song of Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 5. 10
Tanakh, Kethuvim] Such a description must apply in the fullest sense
only to the TRUE & LIVING LORD OF HOSTS, the impregnable, invincible
LIGHT OF LIFE WHO became the SACRIFICIAL LAMB OF GOD and will come again
as "LORD of lords and KING of kings." [Revelation 17. 14] JESUS is the
OMNIPOTENT CREATOR, the WONDERFUL SAVIOR, the IMPECCABLE, MATCHLESS &
LOVING FRIEND to those who are HIS called, chosen and faithful. JESUS
CHRIST, the LORD GOD ETERNAL, has redeemed us by HIS precious blood
which was shed for our covering of guilt.

"MY BELOVED is mine, and I am HIS (Hebrew: Dodi-Li-Va-Ani Lo)." [Song of
Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 2. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Where has your BELOVED
gone? Let us seek HIM!" [Song of Songs (Shir ha'Shirim) 6. 1 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] The RISEN LORD, our LIVING HOPE, has promised that "IF you
will search for ME, you will find ME, IF only you seek ME
wholeheartedly. " [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 29. 13 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Such a
PRIZED TREASURE, the SEED of Israel, in HIM we are justified and shall
glory. "JESUS...O how sweet HIS NAME!"

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
We bid farewell to Shabbat and continually give honor, glory, power &
praise to the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA for HE is our LIGHT & GREAT JOY.
Be sure to take some of Sabbath's sweetness with you for a blessed
day and a delightful week.
Nitzavim – Stand! This is the29th day of repentance as we
prepare for Yom Kippur.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 11 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Fri 14 Sep 2012, 9:41 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A person who seeks help for a friend, while needy himself, will be
answered first.

CREATOR OF ISRAEL
"I am your HOLY ONE, the LORD, your KING, the CREATOR of Israel."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 43. 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The EVER-LIVING LORD GOD is often referred to as the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL
and as the KING OF ISRAEL. This reference to HIM as the CREATOR OF
ISRAEL is particularly unique, however. In the four other passages
where GOD is called "CREATOR" — HE, more specifically, is referred
to as "your CREATOR" [Ecclesiastes/ Kohelet 12. 1], "CREATOR of the
earth from end to end" [Isaiah/Yeshayah 40. 28], "the CREATOR, WHO is
blessed forever" [Romans 1. 25], and the "FAITHFUL CREATOR." [1 Peter 4.
19] But in what sense has the ALMIGHTY ONE become Israel's MASTER
DESIGNER?

The MIGHTY GOD declared, "Be glad, then and rejoice forever in what I am
creating. For I shall create Jerusalem as a joy, and her people as a
delight." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 65. 18 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "But now thus says
the LORD WHO created you, O Jacob; WHO formed you, O Israel; fear not
for I will redeem you, I have singled you out by name, you are MINE."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 43. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

These testimonies apply to the spiritual creation of Israel in its
special relation to GOD and to the world. The physical City of Jerusalem
(streets, walls, etc.) are built by man. However, the HOLY ONE did
create the physical Israel, for HE created the marvelous process of
human birth and the physical processes of the earth, which HE then
rightly directed to ultimately establish the peoples and the land of
Israel, HIS chosen. And, there is a direct reference to the New
Jerusalem, which will indeed be specially created. The ALMIGHTY ONE,
HIMSELF will create and form as spoken of by John who saw "the Holy
City, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from GOD, prepared as a
bride adorned for her husband." [Revelation 21. 2] "For behold! I am
creating a new heaven and a new earth; the former things shall not be
remembered, they shall never come to mind." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 65. 17
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The OMNISCIENT GOD SUPREME is the GREAT ARCHITECT. "I know too, that
whatever GOD has brought to pass will recur evermore." [Ecclesiastes
(Kohelet) 3. 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Israel, like the new heavens and the
new earth, is forever, for the MASTER DESIGNER is her MAKER & CREATOR.
"For as the new heaven and the new earth which I will make shall endure
by MY will — declares the LORD — so shall your seed and your
name endure." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 66. 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Someday very
soon, from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh will glory in the radiance of
the MOST HOLY LORD GOD worshipping HIM.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Remember the wonder reflected upon the SERVANT, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH,
WHO bent down to bring light to those HE so loved. The LORD bless and
keep you throughout the coming days!
Go with GOD!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Envy is its own torment, it devours its bearer.

REFUSING TO HEAR
"So will I choose their delusions to mock them, to bring on them the
very thing they dread. For I called and none responded, I spoke and none
paid heed. Before MY eyes, they did what I deem evil and chose what I do
not want." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 66. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Therefore I will
destine you for the sword, you will all kneel down to be slaughtered
— because, when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you
would not listen. You did what I deemed evil and chose that in which I
do not delight." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 65. 12 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

When we are disobedient to the LOVING MASTER, there are always
consequences and HE is the PRAISEWORTHY & RIGHTEOUS JUDGE WHO has
already warned us of the severe punishment for those who refuse HIS
atonement. And this RIGHTEOUS, HOLY GOD cannot be bought with our much
speech or sacrifices. Though Cain and Abel brought offerings and both
were works of their hands, only Abel's was acceptable. Abel's was done
in obedience to GOD'S WORD, blood was shed. Cain was without excuse
for although he knew GOD, he did not glorify HIM as SOVEREIGN LORD OF
THE UNIVERSE. The ALMIGHTY ONE spoke to Cain and said— "IF you do
right, you will be accepted. But if you do not do right, sin couches at
the door; its desire is for you, yet you must be its master." [Genesis
(Bereshith) 4. 7 Tanakh, Torah] The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL "knows deceitful
men; HE also discerns iniquity." [Job (Iyob) 11. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The TRUE & FAITHFUL ONE accepts and demands obedience. Even the widows
mite was considered a great treasure in the eyes of the LORD YESHUA,
"Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all; for
all these out of their abundance have put in offerings for GOD, but she
out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had." [Luke 21. 3
- 4]

"How long will you simple ones love simplicity, you scorners delight in
scorning, and fools hate knowledge? You are indifferent to MY rebuke; I
will now speak MY mind to you and let you know MY thoughts. Since you
refused ME when I called, and paid no heed when I extended MY hand, you
spurned all MY advice, and would not hear MY rebuke, I will laugh at
your calamity, and mock when terror comes upon you, when terror comes
like disaster, and calamity arrives like a whirlwind, when trouble and
distress and anguish come upon you. Then they shall call ME but I will
not answer; they shall seek ME diligently, but not find ME. Because they
hated knowledge and did not choose fear of the LORD; they refused MY
counsel and disdained all MY rebukes. Therefore, they shall eat the
fruit of their ways, and have their fill of their own counsels. The
tranquility of the simple will kill them, and the contentment of
conceited fools will destroy them. But he who listens to ME will dwell
in safety, untroubled by the terror of evil." [Proverbs (Mishle) 1. 22 -
33 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The LORD ETERNAL declares— "On this one will I look, on him who is
poor and brokenhearted and of a contrite spirit, and who is concerned
about MY WORD." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 66. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] For the
obedient, righteous and faithful servants there is coming a great
reward, for "a BOOK OF REMEMBRANCE has been written at HIS order
concerning those who fear the LORD and esteem HIS NAME. On the day that
I am preparing —says the LORD OF HOSTS— they shall be MY
treasured possession, I will be tender toward them as a man is tender
toward a son who ministers to him." [Malachi (Malakhi) 3. 16 - 17
Tanakh, Nevi'im] Whoever has ears, let them hear and obey the WORD OF
THE LORD.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Blessed, praised, glorified, exalted, extolled, honored, magnified, and
acclaimed be the NAME of the Most Holy One; though HE is high above all
the blessings and all hymns, praises, and consolations, which are
uttered in the world. We, the work of YOUR hands, love YOU, LORD GOD our
FATHER!
May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all
Israel, and that very soon! Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Stand rather at the threshold of the HOUSE OF GOD, than dwell in the
tents of wickedness.

SHADOW OF DEATH
"May darkness and the deep gloom of the shadow of death reclaim it; may
a dark cloud lie over it; may what blackens the day terrify it." [Job
(Iyowb) 3. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This wretched ruinous curse was uttered by Job after he sat for months
in appalling misery, then conclusively, he cursed the day he was born.
This bewildered patriarch had long been living in the grim "shadow of
death" — but could not die.

The SUPREME MASTER CREATOR HIMSELF said, "Have the gates of death
(Hebrew: shaarey mavet) been disclosed to you? Have you seen the gates
of the shadow of death (Hebrew: shaarey tsalmaveth) or deep darkness?"
[Job (Iyowb) 38. 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim] These are eloquent and
rhetorically speculative questions, for no one in Job's day had ever
returned from death.

Who knows what lies beyond those hideous, grim doors of death? MESSIAH
YESHUA does! HE told us, "I am HE that lives and was dead; and behold!
I AM ALIVE FOREVER MORE. AMEN! And, I have the keys of hell and of
death." [Revelation 1. 18] When the LORD JESUS, the EVERLASTING KING
conquered death, HE destroyed its sting (not its sorrow). We can
therefore say, along with David, "Though I walk through a valley of the
shadow of death and deepest darkness, I fear no harm, for YOU are with
me; YOUR rod and YOUR staff — they comfort me." [Psalms (Tehillym)
23. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

This same confident assurance is available to the "whosoever will" seek
the LORD OF GLORY; the confidence "that turns the shadow of death and
deep darkness into the morning dawn (of hope)." [Amos (Amus) 5. 8
Tanakh, Nevi'im] Then, we can thank the ETERNAL TRUE & LOVING GOD
that "the DAYSPRING from on high has visited us; to give light to those
who sit in deep darkness and the shadow of death, to guide our feet into
the way of peace." [Luke 1. 78 - 79] Having a personal relationship
with our wonderful LORD GOD fulfills all our hopes and longings...and we
have perfect peace that flows like a gentle river.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Exalted and hallowed be God'S greatness in this world of Your creation.
May YOUR will be fulfilled and Your sovereignty revealed in the days of
our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel speedily and in
our time. May You be blessed forever, even to all eternity. May YOU,
MOST HOLY ONE, be blessed, praised & honored, extolled & glorified,
adored & exalted above all else. Blessed are You beyond all blessings &
hymns, praises & consolations that may be uttered in this world. May
peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us and to all Israel,
Amen.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem, is praying for the return of our
Messiah and Lord and for the Kingdom of God He is bringing when He
comes. Then God's Will shall be done on earth as it is in Heaven and
the world will experience true godly universal peace.
