A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Turn it and turn it again for everything is in it! The HOLY SCRIPTURES
are a gold mine of information!
KING ETERNAL
"Now to the KING ETERNAL, IMMORTAL, INVISIBLE, to GOD alone WHO is wise,
be honour and glory forever and ever. Amen" [1 Timothy 1. 17]
Such an incredibly GREAT & WONDROUS GOD we have. HIS character and
attributes are too abundant to number. The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL is both
eternal and immortal. "I AM that I AM (Hebrew: EhYAH-Asher- EhYAH)" the
LORD GOD called HIMSELF when speaking to Moses. [Exodus/Shemot 3. 14]
In due season, the IMMORTAL ONE, MESSIAH YESHUA the SUFFERING SERVANT
died to redeem mankind, then rose victoriously from the dead and now
"ever lives to make intercession for us." [Hebrews 7. 25] "The LORD
your GOD is gracious and merciful; HE will not turn HIS face from you IF
you return to HIM." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 30. 9 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] "The LORD is slow to anger and abounding in kindness;
forgiving iniquity and transgression. " [Numbers (B'Midvar) 14. 18
Tanakh, Torah] "The kindness of the LORD has not ended, HIS mercies
are not spent. They are renewed every morning - abundant is YOUR grace!"
[Lamentations (Ekhah) 3. 22 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Daniel called HIM the "ANCIENT OF DAYS" and described HIM with great
splendor and brilliance. [Daniel/Danyel 7. 9 - 14] In Revelation,
JESUS is shown to be the SON OF MAN WHO, THE FIRST & THE LAST, the SON
OF GOD, the ONE WHO has the SEVEN SPIRITS OF GOD, the AMEN, the FAITHFUL
& TRUE WITNESS, the BEGINNING of the creation of GOD. [see Revelation 1
- 4] Paul called HIM "the blessed and only POTENTATE, the KING of
kings and LORD of lords, WHO only had immortality, dwelling in
unapproachable light, WHOM no man has seen nor can see; to WHOM be
honour and everlasting power, Amen." [1 Timothy 6. 15 - 16]
Daniel's declaration of praise was: "Let the NAME of GOD be blessed
forever and ever, for wisdom and power are HIS. HE changes the times and
the seasons; HE removes kings and positions kings; HE gives the wise
their wisdom and knowledge to those who have compassion and
understanding. HE reveals deep, difficult and secret things. HE knows
what is in the secluded darkness, and light dwells with HIM. I
acknowledge and praise YOU, O GOD of my fathers." [Daniel (Danyel) 2. 20
- 22 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Show Honour to our LOVING MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE by pursuing
righteousness, godliness, faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness that
befits a man of GOD. How very wondrous and remarkable our LIVING HOLY
LORD is! Truly, there is none like our GOD! Amen
Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
O ETERNAL KING , how great are YOUR signs, and how mighty YOUR wonders!
YOUR Kingdom is an Everlasting Kingdom, and YOUR dominion endures
throughout the generations. YOU satisfy the longing heart and fill the
hungry with good. Oh, that men would praise the LorD for HIS goodness
and for HIS kindness to the children of men.
Chag Semayah (Good Holy Days)! May you be inscribed in the BOOK OF LIFE
and may the Jewish nation be rid of their enemies. Pardon our sins and
grant us a life of health, prosperity and blessings.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Every obstacle is an experience waiting for a person whose faith will
bridge his doubts.
THE LIVING SAVIOUR
"If you confess with your mouth the LORD JESUS and believe in your heart
that GOD has raised HIM from the dead, you shall be saved." [Romans 10.
9]
It is not a mystery that YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, the BREAD OF LIFE, came
that we might have life and that more abundantly. We are saved because
of the objective fact that the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL died for our sins and
then rose bodily from the tomb, triumphant over sin, death, the curse,
and the Devil; alive in HIS glorified body forevermore. It is this
which we must believe in our hearts and confess with our lips. For the
LORD JESUS to rise bodily from the grave proves that HE is nothing less
than GOD, the ETERNAL CREATOR. It is only because of WHO HE is that
MESSIAH YESHUA could do what HE did, and this is what we must believe in
our hearts.
The GOSPEL of our salvation does not rest on our feelings nor on
someone's teachings, but on the objective, proven and certain essential
facts of history. The LORD JESUS CHRIST is alive, whether anyone feels
HIM living in their hearts or not; and HE is, at this moment, bodily in
heaven seated at the right hand of GOD THE FATHER. "CHRIST...WHO died,
and furthermore is also risen, WHO is even at the right hand of GOD, WHO
also makes intercession for us." [Romans 8. 34] We know that the LORD
YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is the LIVING SAVIOUR because HE "showed HIMSELF
alive after HIS passion by many infallible proofs, being seen by them
during forty days and speaking of the things pertaining to the Kingdom
of GOD." [Acts 1. 3]
"Therefore, HE is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to
GOD through HIM, since HE ever lives to make intercession for them."
[Hebrews 7. 25] The LION OF JUDAH, KING JESUS entered heaven itself, now
to appear in the HOLY PRESENCE OF GOD for us. [Hebrews 9. 24] Our
BLESSED LOVING REDEEMER, Yeshua, always goes beyond our ability and does
so much greater, doing all things well!
Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
As we celebrate Yamym Noraym (High Holy Days); may GOD'S PRECIOUS
WRITTEN WORD be the center of your life. In it, you will find sweet
honey in the ROCK. Have a blessed day as you saturate yourself in the
sweetness of the MIGHTY LORD, the SOURCE OF LIFE.
"Chag Sameyach!"
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There is no riches above a healthy body and no joy above a redeemed
soul.
MESSIAH GAVE HIMSELF
"HE WHO gave HIMSELF for our sins, that HE might deliver us from this
present evil age, according to the will of our GOD and FATHER."
[Galatians 1. 4]
There can never be a greater gift than what our MESSIAH, the LORD YESHUA
gave. HE not only has given us forgiveness, salvation and all spiritual
blessings, HE gave HIMSELF! The spotless, perfect, glorious
ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF ALMIGHTY GOD gave HIS life, substituting HIMSELF in
our place to suffer the righteous judgment of the MOST HOLY LORD GOD for
our sins.
Six times this wonderful affirmation is found in GOD'S LIVING WORD. We
are assured, six times in HOLY WRIT, that when the MESSIAH YESHUA GAVE
HIMSELF, HE paid the price to deliver us from this present evil world
into the eternal world to come.
This promise is exceedingly intense and personal. . . the LORD JESUS
"loved me, and gave HIMSELF for me." [Galatians 2. 20] The gift YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH gave is more precious and everlasting than any the world
could ever give.
The LORD JESUS' gift is the SUPREME SACRIFICE. "MESSIAH also has loved
us, and given HIMSELF for us, an offering and a sacrifice to GOD for a
sweet-smelling aroma." [Ephesians 5. 2] The PRECIOUS SACRIFICE has
brought us to HIMSELF, for "CHRIST also loved the church, and gave
HIMSELF for her...that HE might present her to HIMSELF a glorious
church...not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she
should be holy and without blemish." [Ephesians 5. 25 - 27]
The OFFERING was sufficient to pay for the redemption of all our sin, as
HE "gave HIMSELF a ransom for all, to be testified in due time." [1
Timothy 2. 6] This RANSOM isn't simply to redeem us from the penalty of
sin at the Judgment Seat, but also from the power of sin in our lives
now. And this is the testimony of the final occurrence of this great
declaration. . . KING JESUS THE MESSIAH OF ISRAEL, the LORD OF GLORY
"gave HIMSELF for us, that HE might redeem us from every lawless deed
and purify for HIMSELF HIS own special people, zealous for good works."
[Titus 2. 14] Such great love the GREAT & MIGHTY CREATOR has for us,
what more could HE do?
Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Our continued prayers for an abundance of peace and truth to each of you
as we celebrate Yamym Noraym (High Holy Days). "Chag Sameyach!"
Remembering the Fast of Gedaliah (Tzom Gedaliah – governor of
Judea) in commemoration of the end of Jewish rule in the Holy Land at
the time of the first destruction of the First Holy Temple some 2,500
years ago. The fast day is observed every year on 4th of
Tishri/September 12th this year. The events are described in the HOLY
BIBLE. [see Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 40 – 41; 2 Kings/Melakhim Bet 25.
25–26] The Fast Day was establish and called the "Fast of the
Seventh. [see Zechariah 8.19 -Tishri is the 7th month of the Hebrew
calendar.]"
The TALMUDIC TRACTATE ROSH ha'SHANAH equates Gedaliah's murder with the
destruction of the Holy Temple, citing the fact that fasts were
instituted to commemorate both events. Gedaliah was probably killed on
Rosh ha'Shanah, but the fast was pushed off due to the holy day.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Sun 12 Sep 2010, 1:11 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
It is time to repent and ask forgiveness of those we have wronged.
"Sin is not an unfortunate slip or a regrettable act; it is a
posture of defiance against a Holy GOD." [Max Lacado]

PRESENCE OF THE LORD
"They heard the sound of the YEHOWAH ELOHIYM moving about in the garden
in the cool of the day; and the man, Adam and his wife, Eve, hid from
the LORD GOD among the trees of the garden." [Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 8
Tanakh, Torah]

The PRESENCE OF THE LORD can either be a cause to fear or a source of
blessing. Adam and Eve were greatly afraid of HIS PRESENCE because of
their sin. Later, their son, Cain "left the PRESENCE OF THE LORD"
[Genesis/Bereshith) 4. 16] because of his sin. Yet for many, it will be
a time of great joy. "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of
rejoicing? Is it not even you in the PRESENCE of our LORD JESUS CHRIST
at HIS coming?" [1 Thessalonians 2. 19]

The presence or absence of "unforgiven sin" is the difference. Those
who reject the offer of forgiveness of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, through
repentance, obedience, and faith in HIS death and resurrection for our
sins, will be banned forever from HIS GLORIOUS PRESENCE. "When the LORD
JESUS shall be revealed from heaven with HIS mighty angels, in flaming
fire taking vengeance on them who do not know GOD, and on those who do
not obey the GOSPEL of our LORD MESSIAH YESHUA. They shall be punished
with everlasting destruction from the presence of the LORD and from the
glory of HIS POWER." [2 Thessalonians 1. 7 - 9] "Transgressors, rebels
and sinners together shall be crushed, and those who forsake the LORD
shall perish." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 1. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

But, for those who have repented of their sins and trusted in the
redemptive power of the LORD JESUS for salvation and have put on HIS
righteousness, the prospect of the coming-and-personal PRESENCE of the
HOLY LORD GOD OF ISRAEL is one of joyful anticipation. "Repent
therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that
times of refreshing may come from the PRESENCE OF THE LORD." [Acts 3.
19]

We are assured, certain and confident that "in HIS PRESENCE is perfect
joy; at HIS right hand are pleasures and joys forevermore. " [Psalms
(Tehillym) 16. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Glory, honour and majesty are
before HIM; strength, gladness and joy are in HIS place." [1 Chronicles
(Dibre Hayamin Alef) 16. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"Be silent before my LORD GOD, for the DAY OF THE LORD is approaching;
for the LORD has prepared a sacrificial feast, a slaughter of sinners;
has bidden HIS guests purify themselves." [Zephaniah (Tsefanyah) 1. 7
Tanakh, Nevi'im] When the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA comes again, those who
have been purified with HIS precious blood shall be presented "faultless
before the PRESENCE OF HIS GLORY with exceeding joy" [Jude 24] and shall
thereafter "ever be with the LORD." [1 Thessalonians 4. 17] What a
glorious Day that will be!!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!!
There was light and joy, gladness and honour for all of GOD'S
people. So may we be blessed as we bid farewell to Shabbat. Have a good
week and bring some of Sabbath's sweetness into every day! O LORD GOD
OMNIPOTENT, grant us clearness of vision to see life as a whole from
youth to age and to be comforted in the faith that the best is yet to
be.
"For the leader of the Korahites, a Psalm. All you peoples, clap your
hands, raise a joyous shout of triumph for ELOHIYM. For YEHOWAH ELYOWN
is awesome, great KING (Melek) over all the earth. HE subjects peoples
to us, sets nations at our feet. HE chose our heritage for us, the
excellence of Jacob whom HE loves. Selah
ELOHIYM ascends midst acclamation; YEHOWAH, to the blasts of the
trumpet. Sing, O sing praises to ELOHIYM; sing, O sing to our KING! For
ELOHIYM is KING over all the earth; sing a maskil with understanding.
ELOHIYM reigns over the nations; GOD is seated on HIS Holy Throne. The
princes of the peoples are gathered together, the retinue of
Abraham's ELOHEY. For the guardians of the earth belong to ELOHIYM;
HE is greatly exalted." Psalm/Tehillym 48 . . . this recurring passage
throughout Rosh ha'Shanah liturgy has obvious emphasis on the
coronation of MESSIAH YESHUA the INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL SAVIOUR, GLORIOUS
LORD, IMMANU'EL, BLESSED REDEEMER, JESUS...the ONE WHO'S NAME is
above all names!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Fri 10 Sep 2010, 1:22 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
"For six thousand years the world will continue, and in the seventh it
will be destroyed." [TALMUD]
"The world is to stand six thousand years: Two thousand of confusion,
two thousand the Law, and two thousand the Days of MESSIAH."
[-Sanhedrin]

ROSH HA'SHANAH PRAYER
Our Rosh ha'Shanah prayer for you and your family is that ALMIGHTY
GOD, blessed be HE and blessed be HIS NAME, will make the coming days of
this year, 5771, happy ones...
...Not by shielding us from all sorrow and pain, but by strengthening us
to bear it if and when it comes.
...Not by making our path easy, but in making us strong enough to tread
any path. Not by granting unbroken sunshine, but by keeping our face
bright even in the shadows.
...Not by making our life always pleasant, but in showing us where
MESSIAH and HIS cause needs us most; and by making us zealous to do HIS
perfect will.
...Not by keeping us from conflict and war, but by bringing us off every
field of battle more than conquerors through the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH
WHO loves us most.

The Eternal New Year begins in the heart of him who accepted MESSIAH
YESHUA as their LORD & SAVIOUR. At that moment the heart was changed
and all his sins were cast into the depths of the sea and he now is a
"new creation" in CHRIST JESUS, the KING OF GLORY. The trumpet of the
LORD OF HOSTS will sound announcing the greatest event as a new name was
written in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE!

This New Creation is now awaiting the sound of the ETERNAL ONE when HE
calls us Home to be with HIM forevermore. Truly, this will be the
greatest of all events since the days of MESSIAH'S flesh! O glorious
day when KING JESUS shall come for HIS OWN -- both Jew and Gentile --
who have repented of their sins (Hebrew: teshuvah – to return,
repentance) and accepted the redemption HE purchased through CHRIST
JESUS' SUPREME SACRIFICE on the Altar of Calvary!

In Judaism, a distinction is made between repentance for sins committed
against GOD and those committed against one's fellow man. For this
reason the TORAH has two different sacrifices dealing with sin. The
first was known as "ha'taat" - the sin offering, while the other is
called "asham" - the guilt offering. The sin offering taught that when
man sinned against the MASTER CREATOR, restitution must be made with
GOD; whereas, the guilt offering concerned man's restoring his
relationship with another man before GOD. If a person sinned against
another person, forgiveness would not be given by the ALMIGHTY if the
guilty party only confessed his sin to GOD. He must first make
restitution with his fellow man and then come to GOD.

MESSIAH YESHUA referred to this in the book of Mattatiyahu (Matthew):
"Therefore if you bring your gift to the altar, and there remember that
your brother has something against you, leave your gift there before the
altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then
come and offer your gift. " [Matthew 5. 23 - 24]

We cover you with our love and prayers. May your relationship with the
HOLY CREATOR, the GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN and earth, grow daily in the
little time we have left to serve HIM here on earth. L'Chayim

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Chag Semayah (Good Holy Days)! May you be inscribed in the BOOK OF LIFE
and may the Jewish nation be rid of their enemies. Pardon our sins and
grant us a life of health, prosperity and blessings.
"Our FATHER, we have no king but YOU. Help us for YOUR NAME'S sake.
Grant us a blessed New Year, annul all evil decrees against us, annul
the plots of our enemies, frustrate the designs of our foes, rid us of
tyrants, rid us of pestilence, sword, famine, captivity, sin and
destruction. Forgive and pardon all our sins. Help us return to YOU
fully repentant. Send complete healing to the sick; remember us with
favour; hasten our deliverance. Exalt YOUR people, Israel and those who
are called by YOUR NAME everywhere. Hear us our INCREDIBLE REDEEMER,
show us mercy and compassion, accept our prayer with favour and mercy.
Do not turn us away unanswered. Remember that we are dust. Have pity for
us and our children; act for those slain for YOUR HOLY NAME who were
slaughtered for YOUR unity – who went through fire and water; act
for YOUR sake if not for ours. Answer us though we have no deeds to
plead our cause. Save us with mercy and loving-kindness. And, make us
careful to bless, praise and thank YOU all the days of our life. Amen!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 36 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Thu 09 Sep 2010, 11:49 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
He who kneels before the ALMIGHTY ONE, can stand before any person.
FEAST OF TRUMPETS 5771
At some point in history, the Feast of Yom Teruah (a more correct term
for the Day of Trumpets - Leviticus/B'Midvar 23. 23 - 25) became the day
on which the Jewish New Year is celebrated, more popularly known as
Rosh ha'Shanah (celebrated in the 7th month, Tishri) which
translates as "Head of the Year." {Beginning at sundown Wednesday,
September 8 this year} This Festival, a truly extraordinary occasion,
is both a memorial and a blessing.
The Feast of Trumpets is also called "Yom ha'Din" - the Day of Judgment
and "Yom ha'Zikkaron" – the Day of Remembrance. The Apostle
Paul was speaking of the appointed time when he declared: "HE (the
RIGHTEOUS ONE) has appointed a day on which HE will judge the world in
righteousness by the MAN (YESHUA THE ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD) whom HE
has ordained. HE has given assurance of this to all by raising HIM from
the dead." [Acts 17. 31 – 32] And again, warning of the judgment to
come: "It is a righteous thing with GOD to repay with tribulation those
who trouble you, and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the
LORD JESUS is revealed from heaven with HIS mighty angels, in flaming
fire taking vengeance on those who do not know GOD, and on those who do
not obey the GOSPEL of our LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH." [2 Thessalonians 1.
6 – 9]
According to Exodus/Shemot 12:2, however, "Nisan" is the month regarded
as the "head" of the year, "the beginning of months." There is only one
place in the Hebrew expression where "Rosh ha'Shanah" (beginning of
the year) is found in the HOLY SCRIPTURES. [Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 40. 1
Tanakh, Nevi'im - "In the twenty-fifth year of our exile, the exile of
King Jehoiachin, the fourteenth year after the City had fallen, at the
beginning of the year, the tenth day of the month - on that very day."]
My Jewish people celebrate their New Year's Day in a very solemn way,
unlike the Gentile practice. Jews examine their record for the past
year and make resolutions to do better the coming year. According the
Talmud, three books are opened on Rosh ha'Shanah/Yom Teruah before
the MIGHTY CREATOR, wherein the fate of the righteous, the wicked, and
those of a middle class are recorded. The names of the righteous are
immediately inscribed and they are sealed at once "to life." The middle
class are allowed 10 days to repent and become righteous; while the
wicked are altogether blotted out of the Book of the Living.
Tradition tells that Adam was created about the time of the Feast of
Trumpets, and according to the WRITTEN WORD OF GOD, that is the timing
when YESHUA, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL was born. There will certainly be a
new beginning and renewal when the MESSIAH YESHUA returns, some glorious
Feast Day. We are in the final days of repentance leading to the Day of
Atonement, now is the time to make things right with the GREAT GOD OF
HEAVEN & EARTH and with each other before the coming final judgment of
all things. Maybe soon, on some Feast of Trumpets, the LORD YESHUA will
come for all who believe in HIM. [1 Thessalonians 4. 13 - 18]
In fulfillment of the EVER-LIVING ONE'S command, Jews gather on Yom
Teruah/Rosh ha'Shanah during the day at the Synagogue where the most
prominent feature of the religious ceremony is the blowing of the Shofar
(ram's horn), marking the preparation of the Holy Festival. "Speak to
the Israelite people thus: 'In the seventh month, on the first day of
the month, you shall observe Sabbath rest, a sacred occasion
commemorated with loud blasts.'" [Leviticus (Vayikra) 23. 24 Tanakh,
Torah]
On this day, the Jewish people feel that the purpose for the sounding of
the Shofar is to arouse them to the serious contemplation of their
sinfulness as well as to their duty to lead a godly life. The Shofar
is blown as a summons for the conscience to awake and heed the call of
duty. For this reason, Yom Teruah/Rosh ha'Shanah is known as "The
Day of the Sounding of the Horn." Furthermore, on that day it is
concluded that RIGHTEOUS OMNIPOTENT JUDGE, the FAITHFUL & TRUE, calls to
memory the faults and sins of the past year, it is also known as "Yom
Zikrown" - The Day of Memorial. And, since Jewish people feel they are
then on trial before the JUDGE OF THE UNIVERSE, Rosh ha'Shanah is
also known as the Day of Judgment (Yom ha'Din). The prayers of the
Jewish people to our RIGHTEOUS LORD GOD is that the HOLY ONE, blessed be
He and blessed be HIS NAME, would inscribe their name in "THE BOOK OF
LIFE."
"Tashlich (casting off)" is another custom observed on this holy day.
In fulfillment of the text -- "YOU will cast all our sins into the
depths of the sea." [Micah (Michah) 7. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Jews go to
the edge of a running stream and throw rocks into the water. In doing
so, prayers are recited concluding with the words: "May GOD cast our
sins into the depths of the sea!"
There is another great event which will be proclaimed by the blowing of
a trumpet! This event is going to rock this world as never any event in
her history! "For the LORD HIMSELF will descend from heaven with a
shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of GOD. And
the dead in MESSIAH will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain
shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the LORD in
the air. And thus we shall always be with the LORD." [1 Thessalonians 4.
16 - 17]
"Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all sleep, but we shall all
be changed -- in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last
trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised
incorruptible, and we shall be changed." [1 Corinthians 15. 51 - 52]
The Eternal New Year began in the heart of those who accepted the LORD
YESHUA as their SAVIOUR, REDEEMER, MESSIAH. At that moment the heart
was changed and all his sins were cast into the depths of the sea. The
trumpet of the LORD OF HOSTS sounded announcing this great event and a
new name was written in the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE! This New Creation is
now awaiting the Sound of the Shofar (ram's horn) which shall usher in
that greatest of all events since the days of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH'S
flesh! O glorious day when the LORD shall come for HIS OWN -- both Jew
and Gentile -- who have accepted the redemption HE purchased through HIS
SUPREME SACRIFICE on the Altar of Calvary! Without question, the wonder
of this Festival of Trumpets is a memorial and a blessing.
Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcoming Yom Teruah/Rosh ha'Shanah – a Solemn Sabbath!
Rejoicing in the new day and continually praising ALMIGHTY GOD for HIS
FEASTS!
Our prayers for you and your family is that your life be filled with
health, happiness, and prosperity in knowing our EXTRAORDINARY LOVING
SAVIOUR personally!
"L'Shanah Tova tikatevu v'techateimu (May you be inscribed and sealed
for a good year)!"

Post  Admin Wed 08 Sep 2010, 3:18 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Whoever profanes the NAME OF THE GREAT GOD OF HEAVEN & EARTH in secret
will suffer the penalty for it in public; and this, whether the HEAVENLY
NAME be profaned in ignorance or in willfulness.

KING OF PEACE & RIGHTEOUSNESS
"KING MELCHIZEDEK of Salem brought out bread and wine; HE was the priest
of GOD MOST HIGH (EL 'ELYON)." [Genesis (Bereshith) 14. 18 Tanakh,
Torah]

If this mysterious KING MELCHIZEDEK was not the actual pre-incarnate
appearance of the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, HE was at least a type.
Thus, it is appropriate that HE is called the "KING OF SALEM" or "KING
OF PEACE (SHALOM)." MELCHIZEDEK is also called "KING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS"
[Hebrews 7. 2] as that name is a combination of two Hebrew words
carrying this meaning (malkiy - king/tsedeq - pious, righteous).
Therefore, Melchizedek (or in principle) MESSIAH YESHUA, is KING OF
PEACE & RIGHTEOUSNESS. In truth, neither can exist without the other.
True peace can be founded only on true righteousness, for "there is no
peace - said the LORD - for the wicked." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 48. 22
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

In like manner, ALMIGHTY GOD had promised, "If only you would heed MY
commands! Then your peace (prosperity) would be like a river, your
righteousness (triumph) like the waves of the sea." [Isaiah (Yeshayah)
48. 18 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Peace and Righteousness go together. Nothing else will ever be
permanent unless it is established on righteousness; and, this will
never be until the LORD JESUS returns, for HE alone is both the "PRINCE
OF PEACE" and "THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6; 2
Corinthians 5. 21] The nations of the world have been at war with
Omnipotent GOD - - and therefore with each other - - ever since sin
entered the world. When the MESSIAH returns, there will finally be
permanent peace and eternal righteousness. "In HIS days Judah shall be
delivered and Israel shall dwell secure. And this is THE NAME by which
HE shall be called: "YEHOWAH T'SEDEQNOV (THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS).'"
[Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 23. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Certain and everlasting peace can only be attained through the KING OF
PEACE, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH. Hallelu'YAH!!! The LORD JESUS is my
PEACE and my PRAISE. Is HE yours? HE can be!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
There is none like YOU among the mighty, O LORD, and there are no works
like YOURS. YOUR Kingdom is an everlasting Kingdom and YOUR dominion
endures throughout all generations. YOU are KING ETERNAL; YOU have
reigned and shall reign for evermore. The LORD will give strength to HIS
people; the LORD will bless HIS people with shalom (peace). YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH, the ONE WHO gives true peace and rest; WHOSE Law keeps us
holy.
May GOD grant you a blessed New Year! "L'Shanah Tova!"

Post  Admin Tue 07 Sep 2010, 3:00 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
MESSIAH will come, but I do not desire to pass thru the trials preceding
HIS coming.

GREAT WALL OF FIRE
"And I MYSELF - declares the LORD - will be a WALL OF FIRE all around
Jerusalem, and I will be the GLORY inside it." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 2.
5 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This is the beautiful promise to Jerusalem in the days drawing closer
when "all Israel shall be saved." [Romans 11. 26] Meanwhile, believers
can appropriate it as evidence of ALMIGHTY GOD, the MASTER CREATOR and
HIS great concern and kind consideration for all HIS people.

The safest, most secure place in all the world for one of MESSIAH'S
servants is to be in the perfect will of GOD ALMIGHTY. The believer
has all around him, an invisible, but invincible (indestructible)
spiritual "wall of fire" both protecting and strengthening him. The
psalmist said it this way, "The ANGEL OF THE LORD camps around those who
fear HIM and rescues them." [Psalms (Tehillym) 34. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Gehazi, the servant of Elisha, who was fearful of the enemy army arrayed
against them, was encouraged when his eyes were enabled to see (in
answer to Elisha's prayer) that, "the hills all around Elisha were
covered with horses and chariots of fire." [2 Kings (Melakhim Bet) 6. 17
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The OMNIPOTENT LORD GOD is like an impregnable, unconquerable wall of
mountains surrounding HIS people. "Jerusalem, hills enfold it; and the
LORD enfolds HIS people now and forever." [Psalms (Tehillym) 125. 2
Tanakh, Kethuvim] A contemplation of King David regarding the
blessedness of forgiveness of the LORD reads, "YOU are my SHELTER, my
HIDING PLACE; YOU preserve me from distress; YOU surround me with songs
and joyous shouts of deliverance. Selah" [Psalms (Tehillym) 32. 7
Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The earthly Jerusalem is a foreshadowing of the New Jerusalem which will
have "a great and high wall" [Revelation 21. 12] within which the people
of the EVERLASTING GOD will dwell safely forever and all "the nations of
those who are saved shall walk in its light." [Revelation 21. 24]

"In that day, this song shall be sung in the land of Judah: Ours is a
strong and mighty city; HE makes victory our inner and outer wall."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 26. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Now, in type . . . reality,
throughout eternity, the GREAT WALL OF MOUNTAINS & ANGELS and DIVINE
FIRE is our GREAT SALVATION in the LORD JESUS. "The cry 'Violence!'
shall no more be heard in your land, nor "Waste, wrack and ruin!" within
your borders. And you shall name your walls Victory, Salvation and your
gates Renown Praise." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 60. 18 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
Amazing, this is tremendously amazing! I wait for your DELIVERANCE, O
LORD, for it is good to hope and wait for YOU.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!!
HEAVENLY FATHER, teach us to emulate YOUR OWN grace and mercy. Cause
YOUR truth to fall upon our hearts like seed upon fertile ground. And,
may we learn to love YOUR Law ever more deeply and to find in it the
beauty of holiness. Amen
Wishing you a year of good health, much laughter, great simchas (joy),
few tears, sweet times, many blessings. . .
. . . from our mouth to GOD'S ears! Chag Semayah (Good Holy Days)!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 36 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Mon 06 Sep 2010, 12:42 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There is a fear of GOD which causes men to flee from HIM; and one which
causes them to dance before HIM with joyÂ…may you know the latter.
CREATOR OF DARKNESS
"I form light and create darkness, I make prosperity and create woe -- I
the LORD do all these things." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 45. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
The Hebrew word "'ra" is translated "woe or evil" plainly meaning
"misery, calamity, affliction, adversity" - - it never means "sin." The
ETERNAL GIVER OF LIFE said, "cursed be the ground because of you"
[Genesis/Bereshith 3. 17] that the sorrows, pains and anguishes of life
might bring mankind to know his great need of the LOVING REDEEMER.
When sin has been removed in the New Earth, sin and evil, as well as the
curse on the ground, will be no more.
The same is true in the case with darkness since "GOD is LIGHT and in
HIM is no darkness at all." [1 John 1. 5] It was necessary for
ha'Kadosh Barukh Hu (the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE), to create darkness so
there would be a distinction between day and night. The heavenly
darkness became the background for the sun, moon and stars to serve
their function for "signs and for set times - the days and the years."
[Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 14 Tanakh, Torah] Also, it was for man's
benefit while on earth, for he would need nightly rest as well as his
daily food.
Therefore, the darkness enveloping the earth at its time of creation
[Genesis/Bereshith 1. 2] was not a judgment on the earth because of the
fall of the Devil as some have taught. Like everything else created by
our TREASURED LORD GOD ALMIGHTY, it was "very good" [Genesis/Bereshith
1. 31] -- created for a special and helpful purposes. The evil
implications of darkness came later when evil men and demons found they
could better promote their deceptions under cover of darkness. However,
the light of the LORD GOD is available to overcome and conquer the
darkness when needed and desired, "The darkness is not dark for YOU; the
night is as light as day; darkness and light are the same." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 139. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"For it is GOD WHO commanded light to shine out of darkness, WHO has
shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the GLORY OF
GOD in the face of Messiah YESHUA" [2 Corinthians 4. 6], the MAGNIFICENT
ONE "WHO is the BRIGHTNESS OF HIS GLORY and the PRECISE IMAGE OF HIS
PERSON." [Hebrews 1. 3] Blessed be the LORD GOD forever and ever. And,
may HE fill you who trusts in HIM with all joy and peace and hope by the
power of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Take upon yourself the yoke of the Kingdom of Heaven and give sanction
to one another to bless the CREATOR. Open your mouth in holiness and
purity, with song and psalm, and bless and praise, glorify and revere,
sanctify and ascribe sovereignty to the NAME of the DIVINE KING, the
GREAT, MIGHTY & AWESOME ONE. Praised are YOU, O LORD GOD, for great is
YOUR love for us and YOUR compassion boundless. Be gracious to us that
we may understand and fulfill the teachings of YOUR REVERED WORD.
Enlighten our eyes in YOUR Law that we may cling to YOUR commandments.
Thank YOU, HEAVENLY FATHER, for YOUR saving power, for from YOU comes
our help; draw us nearer to YOU to serve YOU in faithfulness. Joyfully,
we lift our voices and proclaim YOUR PRECIOUS NAME.
Chag Semayah (Good Holy Days)!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Post  Admin Sun 05 Sep 2010, 4:57 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
More paths cross than meet.
YOUR INHERITANCE
"Ask of ME, and I will make the nations your inheritance; your estate,
the limits of the earth for your possession. You shall break them with
an iron mace, shatter them to pieces like a potter's vessel." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 2. 8 - 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
This dramatically vivid and all-inclusive phrase, "ends of the earth"
occurs at least thirty times in the OLD COVENANT and five times in the
NEW COVENANT. The verse is ALMIGHTY GOD'S promise to HIS SON,
YESHUA, the LIVING WORD. [v. 7] This same promise appears many times,
"Let all the ends of the earth pay heed and turn to the LORD, and the
peoples of all nations shall worship before YOU; for the kingdom is the
LORD'S, and HE rules the nations." [Psalms (Tehillym) 22. 27 - 28
Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Let HIM have dominion from sea to sea, from the River
to the ends of the earth. Let desert-dwellers kneel before HIM, and HIS
enemies lick the dust. Let kings of Tarshish and the isles pay tribute;
kings of Sheba and Seba offer gifts. Yes, all kings shall bow to HIM,
and all nations serve HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 72. 8 - 11 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] "For lo HE shall be great to the ends of the earth; and this
ONE shall be peace." [Micah (Michah) 5. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
This DIVINE SON OF THE MOST HIGH GOD, WHOSE future dominion will extend
to the uttermost parts of the earth, is also the MIGHTY CREATOR of the
ends of the earth. "WHO has ascended heaven and come down? WHO has
gathered up the wind in hollow of HIS hand? WHO has wrapped the waters
in a garment? WHO has established all the extremities of the earth? What
is HIS NAME or HIS SON'S nAME, if you know it?" [Proverbs (Mishle) 30. 4
Tanakh, Kethuvim]
This GREAT ONE WHO both created and will ultimately regain all the ends
of the earth will also be their RIGHTEOUS JUDGE. "The adversaries of
the LORD shall be broken in pieces; from heaven HE will thunder against
them. The LORD will judge the ends of the earth. HE will give strength
to HIS king, and exalt the horn of HIS aNOINTED (MESSIAH YESHUA)." [1
Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 2. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
At the present time, the LORD OF GLORY is still "despised, shunned and
rejected by men" [Isaiah/Yeshayah 53. 3], both as CREATOR & SOON-COMING
KING by all the nations of the world. Nevertheless, HE has provided
"salvation to the ends of the earth " [Acts 13. 47] for all who will
receive HIM. The LORD JESUS has commanded and prophesied that HIS
followers must be "witnesses to ME in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and
Samaria, and to the end of the earth." [Acts 1. 8] The greatest message
we carry from the ONE WHO is the DOOR OF HOPE to others is, "Turn to ME
and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am GOD, and there is none
else." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 45. 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im] In the MESSIAH
YESHUA, Israel's descendants shall be justified and shall glory.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer is the LIVING FOUNTAIN
refresh and sustain each of you, our cherished friends. May the LIGHT
of the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE, fill your up-coming week with a yearning
desire to submit to HIS inscrutable will and give you strength for your
daily tasks. May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be a part of each day
as you share the knowledge of wisdom of the LOVING MASTER with others.
"Tov Shavua! (have a good week)!"
Blessing and wishes for a good year and may you be inscribed in the
LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 36 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sat 04 Sep 2010, 3:33 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
A clean conscience makes a soft pillow.
SELICHOT - THINK & PRAY

On this Sabbath of Repentance, O our GOD, open our hearts to its solemn
call to turn from the vanities of life and consider our destiny in the
light of YOUR ETERNAL TRUTH. Help us to see whether we have indeed
hearkened to YOUR VOICE and have done justly, loved mercy and walked
humbly before YOU, our MAKER. Or, whether we have been negligent in the
fulfillment of our duties and have strayed from the path of moral
strength and integrity.
O RIGHTEOUS JUDGE OF THE WORLD, as we survey our life, we are filled
with shame that we have fallen short of the purpose for which YOU did
send us, and we have failed to use aright the numerous gifts which YOU
have given us. Humbly we confess that our intentions and our deeds
accuse us before the tribunal of our conscience and convict us in YOUR
sight.
O GREAT GOD OF HOLINESS, YOU know that we are but dust and in our
weakness we often yield to selfish indulgences. Create in us a pure
heart and renew a steadfast spirit within us. Strengthen us in our
resolve to mend our ways. Let our struggle with error and sin lead us
to a clearer realization of the Truth of YOUR HOLY WORD and to a firmer
adherence to YOUR LAW OF RIGHTEOUSNESS. Help us to remove every
misunderstanding between ourselves and our fellowmen.
YOU, LORD GOD OF HOSTS alone know when the day shall dawn in which the
light of YOUR truth, brighter than that of the visible sun, shall
encircle the whole earth. But, surely that great day so fervently
prayed for shall come, as surely as none of YOUR LIFE-GIVING WORDS
return empty, but shall accomplish that for which YOU did send them. O
GOD, YOU are plenteous in mercy and forgiveness, please establish peace
and harmony in our souls that we may be truly at one with YOU.
Then joy shall thrill all hearts and from one end of the earth to the
other and the gladsome cry shall echo: "Hear, O Israel, hear all
mankind, the ETERNAL our GOD, the ETERNAL is ONE." Then myriads will
make pilgrimage to YOUR HOUSE which shall be called the "HOUSE OF
PRAYER" and from their lips shall sound in spiritual joy: "LORD, open
for us the gates of YOUR TRUTH. O gates, lift up your heads! Up high,
you everlasting doors, so the KING OF GLORY may come in! WHO is the KING
OF GLORY? - the LORD OF HOSTS, mighty and valiant, the LORD, valiant in
battle. O gates, lift up your heads! Lift them up, you everlasting
doors, so the KING OF GLORY may come in! WHO is the KING OF GLORY? - the
LORD OF HOSTS, HE is the KING OF GLORY! Selah" [Psalms (Tehillym) 24. 7
- 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
May we ever thank YOU, our MAJESTIC LORD GOD, for sending YESHUA
ha'MASHIACH to be our only LOVING REDEEMER. And, may we ever revere,
glorify and honour YOUR HOLY EXALTED NAME with praise. We bow in the
presence of CHRIST JESUS OF NAZARETH, our WONDERFUL LORD, SAVIOUR &
REDEEMER.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! Queen of the week! Enjoy the blessed peace and joyous
harmony of Sabbath as you continually praise ALMIGHTY GOD and join with
family and friends.
"L'Shanah Tova U'Metukah – (May your name be inscribed in the BOOK
OF LIFE)!"

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Thought FOR TODAY

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Some people think that "original sin" is a sin that no one has thought
of before.
BLINDNESS OF ISRAEL
"What then? Israel has not obtained what it seeks; but the elect have
obtained it, and the rest were blinded. Just as it is written: 'YEHOWAH
has given them a spirit of deep sleep, eyes that they should not see and
ears that they should not hear, to this very day.' And David says: 'Let
their table become a snare and a trap, a stumbling block and a
recompense to them. Let their eyes be darkened, so that they do not see,
and bow down their back always.'" [Romans 11. 7 – 10]
Regarding Israel's blindness, Moses wrote: "To this day YEHOWAH has not
given you a mind to understand or eyes to see or ears to hear."
[Deuteronomy (Devarim) 29. 3 Tanakh, Torah] The blindness of Israel
toward GOD ALMIGHTY is one of the saddest aspects of our world today as
well. Even Orthodox Jews, who strongly affirm their belief in the OLD
TESTAMENT PASSAGES, are seemingly unable to see what the HOLY WRITTEN
SCRIPTURES clearly show, that the MESSIAH REDEEMER has already came and
left.
In the first book of the TORAH, Moses wrote: "The scepter shall not
depart from Judah, nor a ruler's staff from between HIS feet, until
Shiloh comes; and the homage of peoples be HIS." [Genesis (Bereshith)
49. 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Ancient Jewish commentators agree that "Shiloh"
(another title of MESSIAH – also a location where the Tabernacle was
first located, which represented the PRESENCE OF GOD) means "the exact
image and reflection of GOD." This very fact should prove to modern
Jewish expositors that MESSIAH has already come, for the scepter (the
symbol of national leadership) did depart from Judah, and that happened
shortly after JESUS, the ANOINTED ONE was crucified.
King David was the first descendant of Judah to attain the scepter of
leadership among the tribes of Israel. The Divine Promises were clear
that the MESSIAH would be of David's descendants. That the LORD JESUS'
legal father, Joseph, and HIS human mother, Miryam (Mary) were both in
the lineage of David is shown in the genealogies of Matthew 1:1-17 and
Luke 3:23-38, respectively. Both ancestry (Joseph's in Matthew;
Miryam's in Luke) were written when the genealogical records were still
intact in the Temple in Jerusalem. At that time, no one ever questioned
their validity even with intense opposition by the Jews to the claims of
MESSIAH YESHUA and HIS disciples that HE was indeed the ANOINTED
REDEEMER OF ISRAEL.
In 70 AD the records and the Temple were totally destroyed so that no
later claimant to the title could prove his right to the throne. GOD'S
ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, had come in the flesh, and was
brutally slain, so the scepter departed from Judah until the RIGHTEOUS
ONE, the LORD JESUS, comes again. It is certain that YESHUA OF NAZARETH
undeniably was the Jew's PROMISED MESSIAH, and we should pray that GOD
will soon open their eyes to see and believe.
May the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL return soon, and in our time that we may
behold our KING ETERNAL!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Let us lift up our hearts and our hands to GOD in heaven for HIS
loving-kindness. The LORD is mighty over us and we are ever thankfully
indebted to YOU, O MERCIFUL GOD. May we examine our ways, test them, and
return to YOU, O MOST HIGH.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 36 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Fri 03 Sep 2010, 10:20 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Truth never hurts the teller.
IT'S YOUR CHOICE
"Truly, times of ignorance GOD overlooked, but now commands all men
everywhere to repent, because HE has appointed a day on which HE will
judge the world in righteousness by the MAN whom HE has ordained. HE has
given assurance of this to all by raising HIM (MESSIAH YESHUA) from the
dead." [Acts 17. 30 - 31]
The WORD OF GOD describes an appointment that is fixed for each
individual. It could be a "day of dread" or a "day of blessing" for
you, what makes it thus is all your choice. "By the sweat of your brow
shall you get bread to eat, until you return to the ground - for from it
you were taken. For dust you are, and to dust you shall return."
[Genesis (Bereshith) 3. 19 Tanakh, Torah] "YOU will bring me to death,
the house appointed for all the living." [Job (Iyob) 30. 23 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] "As it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the
judgment." [Hebrews 9. 27] Death is a thought that most people put far
away from their minds, often preparing more for the day-to-day living,
retirement or even a vacation then for the sure fact of their imminent
passing. Death is the surest fact of life and no human contrivance can
avoid the appointment with the Angel of Death.
HOLY SCRIPTURES, however, caution that the believer will face challenges
in this life, "No one should be shaken by these afflictions; for you
yourselves know that we are appointed to this." [1 Thessalonians 3. 3]
Death's appointment should hold no fear for the CHRISTian for we are HIS
chosen vessels and parting this life is for our glory and we are assured
of that, "For GOD did not appoint us to wrath, but to obtain salvation
through our LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO died for us, that whether we wake or
sleep, we should live together with HIM." [1 Thessalonians 5. 9 - 10]
The LOVING ALMIGHTY ONE is our "HOPE, our REFUGE in the day of doom and
calamity." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 17. 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im] Nevertheless,
the day of our death still holds a "moment of precise truth." Have we
lived our lives unto ourselves, or in a way pleasing to the LORD our
GOD? To be ready for our appointment, we must "choose this day WHOM we
will serve." [Joshua/Yehoshua 24. 15] Then continually "abide in HIM;
that, when HE shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed
before HIM at HIS coming." [1 John 2. 28] For our heart will not
condemn us, having confidence toward our RIGHTEOUS & HOLY GOD. [1 John
3. 21] Ever knowing that "Love has been perfected among us in this:
that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment; because as HE is, so
are we in this world." [1 John 4. 17] May you be a willing vessel of
GOD'S light and love to a lost and dying world.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
May it be YOUR will, LORD our GOD and GOD of our fathers, MERCIFUL KING,
to grant that whenever a heart sighs in anguish under the burden of
guilt, wherever a soul yearns to return to YOU, it may feel the effect
of YOUR pardoning love and mercy. We give YOU thanks, praise and
adoration ceaselessly, for YOU are good.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 36 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Don't pray because it makes sense to pray, pray because life does not
make sense without it.

BELIEVING GOD
"Abraham obeyed ME and kept MY charge, MY Commandments, MY Laws, and MY
Teachings." [Genesis (Bereshith) 26. 5 Tanakh, Torah]

Abraham heard the Commandments OF YEHOWAH and he kept GOD'S Charge
(Hebrew: mishmar - safeguard, watch); Commandments (Hebrew: mitsvot -
law, ordinance, precept); Statutes (Hebrew: chuqqim - to engrave, carve,
portray...thus, describes "written rules of conduct"); and Laws (Hebrew:
Torah - precept, statute, teachings). Abraham "believed the LORD, and
GOD accounted it to him for righteousness." [Genesis (Bereshit) 15. 6
Tanakh, Torah]

The basic reason that so many people have trouble understanding the HOLY
SCRIPTURES is that they try to interpret the WRITTEN WORD to fit their
private opinions, idioms, and idiosyncrasies and they are unable to
understand because their minds and hearts are already bound to their own
opinion. "For the hearts of this people have grown dull. Their ears are
hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see
with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand
with their hearts and turn, so that I should heal them." [Matthew 13.
15]

The HOLY BIBLE, the SCRIPTURES OF TRUTH, does not need to be interpreted
at all, just BELIEVED! The LORD GOD said what HE means, and means what
HE says. When HE speaks in parables or allegorically, SCRIPTURES
clearly say so. Otherwise, the HOLY WORD is literal and should be
believed literally word-for-word as it is written.

The ALMIGHTY OMNISCIENT ONE wants to communicate HIS AUTHORITATIVE WORD
to those who have obedient hearts and are willing to devote themselves
to diligent study of all SCRIPTURE. "But you must continue in the
things which you have learned and been assured of, knowing from whom you
have learned them...HOLY SCRIPTURES, which are able to make you wise for
salvation through faith which is in CHRIST JESUS. All SCRIPTURE is given
by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for
correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of GOD may be
complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work." [2 Timothy 3. 14 -
17]

May our testimony ever be, "I have not deviated from what HIS lips
commanded; I have treasured HIS WORDS more than my daily bread." [Job
(Iyob) 23. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "When YOUR WORDS were offered, I
devoured them; YOUR WORD brought me the delight and joy of knowing that
YOUR NAME is attached to me, O LORD GOD OF HOSTS." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah)
15. 16 Tanakh, Nevi'im] IF you have a believing heart like our father,
Abraham; a love of the LORD, like Job; and, like Jeremiah, a hunger for
the SWEET PRECIOUS WORD -- you will find great joy and rejoicing in your
own heart. "If you call to understanding and cry aloud to discernment,
if you seek it as you do silver and search for it as for treasures, then
you will understand the fear of the LORD and attain knowledge of GOD."
[Proverbs (Mishle) 2. 3 - 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Such a blessed promise
and so many more treasures our precious "ROCK OF AGES" has for HIS
children. How blessed we are to have the WRITTEN WORD as our ANCHOR,
for it does not change and we are secure in HIS shelter.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Put together all the tenderest love you know of, the deepest you have
ever felt, and the strongest that has ever been poured out upon you, and
heap upon it all the love of all the loving human hearts in the world,
and then multiply it by infinity, and you will begin, perhaps, to have
some faint glimpse of what the love of GOD is.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The truly righteous ones do not complain about evil, but rather add
justice; they do not complain about heresy, but rather add faith; they
do not complain about ignorance, but rather add wisdom. [Rabbi Avraham
Yitzchak ha'Cohen Kook]

GRACE, THE GIFT
"GOD resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble." [1 Peter 5. 5]

Grace is first found in Genesis/Bereshith where "Noah found grace in the
eyes of the LORD" [6. 8] and is a treasured free gift only given by our
LOVING CREATOR. The grace of LORD GOD MOST HIGH is freely given, not
something that can be earned, for it is unmerited favour. Salvation is
one thing we never deserve or any of the other blessings HE provides,
but "the gift (Hebrew: "chen/chanan" – grace) of GOD is
eternal life." [Romans 6. 23] "For by grace you have been saved through
faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of GOD, not of works,
lest anyone should boast." [Ephesians 2. 8 - 9] "For you know the grace
of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, that though HE was rich, yet for your sakes HE
became poor, that you through HIS poverty might become rich." [2
Corinthians 8. 9]

Since the ALMIGHTY GOD of all flesh, through MESSIAH YESHUA has lavished
such abundant grace to us, we likewise should manifest grace to others.
But such grace in us is no more achievable by human effort then is GOD'S
abundant grace toward us. Grace is always the GRACIOUS Gift of GOD --
to be received in faith and humility, never in pride. And grace is
given through faith and is most attractive to and most effective for the
poor in spirit. "To such a one I will look: To the poor and
brokenhearted (contrite, ashamed spirit), who is concerned about MY
WORD." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 66. 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The unconditional
promises of the MIGHTY GOD OF HOSTS cannot be earned; they can only be
received freely.

A proud person can never be gracious, as the HOLY OMNIPOTENT ONE will
never give HIS gifts to those who are proud. "To fear the LORD is to
hate evil; I hate pride, arrogance, the evil way, and duplicity
(treachery, dishonest, lies) in speech." [Proverbs (Mishle) 8. 13
Tanakh, Kethuvim] "At scoffers HE scoffs, but to the lowly HE shows
grace." [Proverbs (Mishle) 3. 34 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "A man's pride will
humiliate him, but the humble in spirit will obtain honour." [Proverbs
(Mishle) 29. 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"As you abound in everything--in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in all
diligence, and in your love for us--see that you abound in this grace
also." [2 Corinthians 8. 7] Never forget! ...all GOD'S blessings
come by HIS grace alone. HE gives grace to the humble, not to the
proud.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
The prayer of faith is a sincere, sweet, and quiet view of divine,
eternal truth. The soul rests quiet, perceiving and loving GOD; sweetly
rejecting all the imaginations that present themselves, calming the mind
in the DIVINE PRESENCE, and fixing it only on the ALMIGHTY ONE.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Fill your attitude, not so much with knowing, but with caring.
IMMUTABLE-UNCHANGING-ETERNAL
"JESUS CHRIST is the same yesterday, today and forever." [Hebrews 13. 8]
When the LORD JESUS arose from the dead, then later ascended into
heaven, HIS body was immortal, no longer subject to death -- yet it was
HIS "Physical Body" that was capable of being seen and heard and
touched, even capable of eating with HIS disciples. YESHUA ha'MASHIACH
was clearly recognizable, yet could quickly ascend from earth to heaven
and could pass through a solid wall. As MESSIAH ascended, two angelic
messengers said, "This same JESUS which is taken up from you into
heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen HIM go into
heaven." [Acts 1. 11] Peter could also proclaim "that GOD has made
that same JESUS WHOM you crucified, both LORD and CHRIST." [Acts 2. 36]
Even when the YESHUA, the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL returns and assumes the
eternal throne of the universe, HE will still be the same. "But to the
SON (JESUS) HE (GOD THE FATHER) said, "YOUR Throne, O GOD, is forever
and ever, a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of YOUR
Kingdom...they will be changed; but YOU are the same, and YOUR years
will not fail." [Hebrews 13. 8, 12]
This was the same JESUS WHOM John the Baptist had identified at the
beginning of his earthly ministry. "HE WHO sent me to baptize with
water said to me, 'Upon WHOM you see the SPIRIT descending, and
remaining on HIM, it is HE WHO baptizes with the HOLY SPIRIT." [John 1.
33]
From the beginning, JESUS, the HOLY ANOINTED ONE was and is the same.
"In the beginning was the WORDÂ…and the WORD was made FLESH...the
same was in the beginning with GOD." [John 1. 1, 3] "I am the LORD, I
do not change." [Malachi (Malakhi) 3. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im] This same
JESUS WHO lived among men, identified by John as the LAMB OF GOD, and
WHO died on the cross is the ETERNAL WORD OF TRUTH by WHOM all things
were made. YESHUA, the RESURRECTED SAVIOUR & SOON-COMING KING, the
UNCHANGING ONE WHO is the same yesterday, and today, and forever. The
ENDLESS ONE is from everlasting-to-everlasting, HE is the ALL-POWERFUL,
BELOVED ALMIGHTY GOD EVERLASTING!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Exalted and hallowed be GOD'S greatness in this world of Your creation.
May Your will be fulfilled and YOUR sovereignty revealed in the days of
our lifetime and the life of the whole House of Israel speedily and in
our time, Amen. May YOU be blessed forever, even to all eternity. May
YOU, MOST HOLY ONE, be blessed, praised & honoured, extolled &
glorified, adored & exalted above all else. Blessed are YOU beyond all
blessings & hymns, praises & consolations that may be uttered in this
world, Amen. May peace abundant descend from heaven with life for us
and to all Israel. Amen

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Love is more then something you say, it's something you do.
MOMENT IN TIME
"He shall bring the bull to the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, before
the LORD, and lay his hand upon the head of the bull. The bull shall be
slaughtered before the LORD, and the anointed priest shall take some of
the bull's blood and bring it into the Tent of Meeting." [Leviticus
(Vayikra) 4. 4 - 5 Tanakh, Torah]
This verse refers to the "sin offering" that must be killed by the
person who is offering it, not the priest. The priest could perform the
other rituals of the sacrifice, including burning the remains of the
bullock outside the camp, but when offering a "burnt offering"
[Leviticus/Vayikra 1. 1 - 5] or a "peace offering" [Leviticus/Vayikra 3.
1-2], the one making the offering had to kill the animal being offered.
In each, before the sacrifice was slain, the one making the offering was
to lay his hands upon the head of the bullock, signifying the transfer
of his own sin and guilt to the innocent creature being offered.
How exclusively unique is the timing of MESSIAH YESHUA'S coming in the
flesh and HIS perfect atoning death on the cross. The nation of Israel
was not free, being ruled by Gentiles, the Romans. The Jews did not
have the power to execute a prisoner, only the Romans could. Because
the LORD JESUS came, not only to die and redeem HIS Jewish people, HE
came to redeem the Gentiles also.
This follows the pattern that was president for the "sin offering"
described in Leviticus where the one for whom the offering is made, must
be guilty of killing the sacrifice, both Jew and Gentile are guilty of
crucifying the GREATEST SACRIFICE, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, once for all.
The Jewish authorities planned and demanded MESSIAH'S death [Matthew 26.
3 - 4] and the Gentile Pilate and his Roman soldiers consented and
carried out HIS execution. [Matthew 27. 26, 35] Thus, the death of the
LORD YESHUA on the cross was effective for both Jew and Gentile –
the whole world - following the set pattern of the requirement the
MASTER DESIGNER planned from the beginning of time.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
As we bid farewell to Shabbat, be reminded that there is light and joy,
gladness and honour for all of GOD'S people. Be sure to take some of
Sabbath's sweetness with you for a blessed week. We gratefully
acknowledge, O LORD, our GOD, that YOU are our CREATOR & PRESERVER, the
ROCK of our life and the SHIELD of our help. We render thanks to YOU for
our lives which are in YOUR hand, for our souls which are ever in YOUR
keeping, for YOUR wondrous providence and for YOUR continuous goodness,
which YOU bestow upon us day by day. Truly, YOUR mercies never fail and
YOUR loving-kindness never ceases. Therefore, we confidently, and most
gratefully put our trust in YOU.
We are mid-way through the Jewish month of "Elul" – called the
preparation month since the High Holy Days follow. May each day be
entered with joy in our hearts and confidence that ALMIGHTY God, in HIS
mercy, will continue to use us as HIS messengers of the GOOD NEWS to the
needy world around us!

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off
the goal.
CUSTOMS - PURIFYING OF THE MOTHER
"The LORD spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to the Israelite people thus:
When a woman brings forth seed bearing a male, she shall be unclean
seven days; she shall be unclean as at the time of her menstrual
infirmity. She shall remain in a state of blood purification for
thirty-three days: she shall not touch any consecrated thing, nor enter
the Sanctuary until her period of purification is completed. On the
completion of her purification, for either son or daughter, she shall
bring to the priest, at the entrance of the Tent of Meeting, a lamb in
its first year for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove
for a sin offering. He shall offer it before the LORD, and make
atonement on her behalf; she shall then be clean from her flow of blood.
Such are the rituals concerning her who bears a child, male or female.
If, however, her means do not suffice for a lamb, she shall take two
turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for a burnt offering and the other
for a sin offering. The priest shall make expiation on her behalf, and
she shall be clean." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 12. 1-2, 4, 6 - 8 Tanakh,
Torah]
Forty days after the birth of a child, the mother was purified by a
ceremony in the Temple. She was said to be unclean for seven days after
the birth and then thirty three days later she would keep her
appointment for her purification. According to the SCRIPTURES the woman
must be purified since she brought sin into the world, "And Adam was not
deceived, but the woman being deceived, fell into transgression." [1
Timothy 2. 14] And, the children she bears are "born with iniquity -
conceived in sin." [Psalms (Tehillym) 51. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Though
she brought sin into the world, the HOLY ALMIGHTY ONE HIMSELF in HIS
infinite love and grace, allowed her to bear the IDEAL REMEDY for sin.
[Genesis/Bereshith 3. 15; Galatians 3. 13]
The washing of the body for purity was highly important in the service
of GOD in the Sanctuary where the sacred vessels were also washed.
Later it became a symbol of regeneration, and all proselytes to Judaism
underwent baptism as a new birth. Frequently accompanied by confession
of sin, baptism was administered to Jews by various Jewish groups such
as the Essenes and Baptists; and some made a religious duty of daily
bathing. Among the Orthodox, the Mikveh (ritual bath) is taken by women
before marriage and after menstruation and childbirth. "You shall be
clean" is one of the holy laws of Judaism.
According to TALMUDIC Judaism, the water of the Mikveh in the mother's
purification corresponds to the original living water, the womb of the
world, from which all life comes. The unborn child, as it were, is
rocked in the womb where is the "living water." To be reborn, one must
symbolically re-enter this womb and "go down" in the "living water."
Not only mothers, but also Jewish men, for their purification (see
Paul's purification in the Mikveh with four other Jewish men - Acts 21.
26), enter the "living water" and are submerged entirely until the
water covers the head. It is also considered by the Rabbis according to
the TALMUD that a Gentile who is a convert to Judaism does the same --
reemerging from immersion in the Mikveh as a final step, the rebirth of
a Gentile "as a Jew!"
In this purification ceremony for the Jewish mother, we notice a form of
baptism which, of course, is Jewish in origin. There were other
baptisms for cleansing in the ritual bath (Mikveh) that are recorded in
the HEBREW SCRIPTURES. The many washings are called baptisms and this
cleansing is implied by the LORD GOD: "I will sprinkle clean water upon
you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your
uncleanness and from all your idol fetishes. And I will give you a new
heart and put a new spirit with into you; I will remove the heart of
stone from your body and give you a heart of flesh. And I will put MY
SPIRIT into you. Thus I will cause you to follow MY Laws and faithfully
to observe MY judgments." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 36. 25 - 27 Tanakh,
Nevi'im]
According to Rabbinical teachings, which dominated even during the
existence of the Temple, baptism, next to circumcision and sacrifice,
was absolutely necessary conditions to be fulfilled by a proselyte to
Judaism to receive the SPIRIT OF GOD, or to be permitted to stand in the
PRESENCE OF GOD (THE SHEKINAH) man must undergo baptism. [TALMUD, Vol.
2, pg. 499]
A lamb was to be brought as the mother's sacrifice-offering if she could
afford one. {A lamb is innocent, unresisting. . . MESSIAH YESHUA, THE
LAMB OF GOD, is pure, without blemish, and in HIS unresisting obedience
fully satisfied the FATHER'S heart.} If she were too poor to bring a
lamb, provision was made for her to bring instead. . . two turtle doves
or two young pigeons. Blood must be shed, however, in each case.
Miryam (Mary), the mother of YESHUA (JESUS), observed this law: "Now
when the days of her purification according to the Law of Moses were
completed, they brought HIM to Jerusalem to present HIM to the
LORD...and to offer a sacrifice according to what is said in the LAW OF
THE LORD, a pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons." [Luke 2. 22, 24]
Miryam was poor, she could not afford a lamb, therefore she brought the
pigeons. But, on the other hand, she brought forth the only TRUE LAMB
WHO was the BELOVED PRECIOUS SACRIFICE for the entire world! Our LORD
JESUS, the MASTER CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE, did not make HIS appearance
here among the rich and noble of earth. JESUS left the splendors of
Heaven, became poor being born in a stable -- with a manger for HIS
crib! If that isn't love, what is?

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Welcome Sabbath! – Queen of the week – our great joy and
delight! Praised are YOU, YEHOWAH, our GOD, SOVEREIGN of the Universe,
WHO makes us holy with YOUR mitzvoth and favours us with the Holy
Shabbat, lovingly and graciously given to us. Zey ha-yom asaw Adonai,
nagilah ve-neesmechah voh. This is the day the LORD has made, we will
rejoice and we will be glad in it.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
There is no riches above a healthy body and no joy above knowing our
sins are forgiven.
OUR TRIUMPHANT ADVOCATE
"Surely now my WITNESS is in heaven, HE has my record, He Who is on
high." [Job (Iyob) 16. 19 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
There are two significantly important NEW COVENANT truths in this OLD
TESTAMENT text. The patriarch Job knew, by some means, that he and all
of mankind had a record of their life in heaven.
The Hebrew word "sahed" (means: my record), occurs only this one time in
the HOLY SCRIPTURE and it makes clear that our works here on earth,
either good or bad, have been recorded by the SUPREME CREATOR OF THE
WORLD. This record, inevitably testifies against us, "for there is not
one good man on earth who does what is best and doesn't err."
[Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 7. 20 Tanakh, Kethuvim] At "GOD'S THRONE OF
JUDGMENT" which will be very soon, the dead are "judged according to
their works, by the things which were written in the BOOK...and anyone
not found written in the BOOK OF LIFE is cast into the Lake of Fire."
[Revelation 20. 12, 15]
We can know that our names will be in GOD'S BOOK OF LIFE, even as Job
knew that "my WITNESS is in heaven;" SomeONE WHO "might arbitrate
between a man and GOD, as between a man and his neighbour!" [Job (Iyob)
16. 21 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
The Hebrew word for witness is 'ed implying a formal personal witness
who can testify on our behalf. Job knew this ELECT WITNESS and could
confidently say, "I know that my REDEEMER lives; in the end HE will
testify on earth." [Job (Iyob) 19. 25 Tanakh, Kethuvim] MESSIAH YESHUA
is the REDEEMER and WITNESS: "If anyone sins, we have an ADVOCATE with
the FATHER, JESUS CHRIST THE RIGHTEOUS. And HE HIMSELF is the
PROPITIATION for our sins." [1 John 2. 1 - 2] "If we confess our sins,
HE is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from
all unrighteousness." [1 John 1. 9]
The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is the PERFECT SACRIFICE for our sins;
therefore, HE could redeem us from sin's penalty and serve as our
DEFENSE WITNESS in heaven. Our record of sin and guilt has been washed
clean with the precious blood of the LORD JESUS, the BRUISED REED.
HalleluYAH! what an AMAZINGLY WONDERFUL SAVIOUR -- IMMANU'EL, GOD with
us!!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
HE WHO keeps Israel neither slumbers or sleeps! Praised are YOU,
YEHOWAH, our GOD, SOVEREIGN OF THE Universe, WHO gives us peace like a
quiet river and HIS righteousness as the waves of the sea.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 36 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Thu 26 Aug 2010, 3:24 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Gentle words work better then hard ones.
DETERMINED
"I have chosen the way of faithfulness and truth; I have set YOUR
judgments before me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 30 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
As we who are called by the MASTER'S Name, "CHRISTians" -
should examine our weaknesses and failures (sins) daily and determine to
do better daily with the help of the LORD GOD, the MIGHTY ENABLER. It
is helpful to remember some of the affirmative declarations made by the
stylist of Psalm 119 -- an acrostic praise of the SCRIPTURES -- and
determine to make these our desires as well.
We are compelled to deliberately choose the WAY OF TRUTH, by being
careful and honest in all our words and relationships. "Turn my heart
to YOUR decrees and not to love of gain." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 36
Tanakh, Kethuvim], and we should make this our prayer; since
covetousness is sin which easily overwhelms and plagues us.
We must never be ashamed of the TRUE & LIVING GOD nor of HIS SACRED
WORD, then we can, like the psalmist say: "I will speak of YOUR
testimonies, and not be ashamed in the presence of kings" for "YOU are
just when YOU speak and blameless in YOUR judgment." [Psalms (Tehillym)
119. 46; 52. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
Furthermore, we need to have fellowship with all true believers who
earnestly seek to keep HIS LIFE-GIVING WORD. "I am a companion to all
who fear YOU, to those who keep YOUR precepts." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119.
63 Tanakh, Kethuvim] When the RIGHTEOUS ONE is chastising, testing and
purifying us we should not complain. "I know, O LORD, that YOUR rulings
are just; rightly have YOU humbled me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 75
Tanakh, Kethuvim]
No matter what happens, we should resolve to trust GOD ALMIGHTY, just as
Job did - "Though HE slay me, yet will I trust in HIM." [Job (Iyob) 13.
15 Tanakh, Kethuvim] We can even echo the sweet term of the psalmist,
"YOU are my HIDING PLACE, my PROTECTION and my SHIELD; I hope in YOUR
WORD." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 114 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
We can believe implicitly in the WRITTEN WORD of the ALL-WISE AUTHOR OF
CREATION, for we are convinced that "GOD be true but every man a liar"
[Romans 3. 4] and we are justified in HIS WORD as overcomers. "Truly by
all Your precepts I walk straight; I hate every false way." [Psalms
(Tehillym) 119. 128 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
We can fully trust the LORD GOD and knowingly choose to believe HIS Holy
Word for they are life. "This is my comfort in my affliction, that YOUR
WORD has preserved me." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 50 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
"Most assuredly, I say to you, he who hears MY WORD and believes in HIM
WHO sent ME has everlasting life, and shall not come into judgment, but
has passed from death into life." [John 5. 24] "Let YOUR hand help me,
for I have chosen YOUR precepts." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 173 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]
Like Paul, may we say: "I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor
angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to
come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able
to separate us from the love of GOD which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD."
[Romans 8. 38 - 39] Our WONDROUS REDEEMER is faithful and I am
determined to follow HIM. Live holy that your name will be inscribed in
the LAMB'S BOOK OF LIFE!

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
May you be a witnesses of the MOST HOLY ONE'S care, love, and indwelling
presence. Our prayer is that you are faithfully dedicated to THE ONE WHO
is the LIGHT of the world.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 36 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Wed 25 Aug 2010, 11:40 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
We are all responsible for each other, to think otherwise is a case of
mistaken identity.
THE LAW
You shall keep MY Laws and MY judgments, by the pursuit of which man
shall live; I am the LORD." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 18. 5 Tanakh, Torah]
The ALMIGHTY ONE is absolutely holy, a fact heavily emphasized
throughout the book of Leviticus. It is the standard for all those
created in HIS IMAGE, and is reemphasized in the NEW COVENANT, "Clearly
no one is justified before GOD by the Law, because, the righteous will
live by FAITH. The Law is not based on faith, on the contrary, The man
who does these things will live by them." [Galatians 3. 11 - 12]
The LOVING MASTER redeemed us in order so the blessing given to Abraham
might come to the Gentiles through YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, in order that we
might receive the promise of the SPRIT OF GOD by faith. It is not
enough that a man keep most of GOD'S Laws, "For whosoever shall keep the
whole Law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all." [James 2.
10] "For as many as are of the works of the Law are under the curse;
for it is written, 'Cursed is everyone that continues not in all things
which are written in the Book of the Law, to do them." [Galatians 3. 10]
"The Law is holy and the commandments holy and just and good." [Romans
7. 12] However, no human being has ever been able to keep GOD'S
Perfect Law, except THE MAN, the LORD JESUS. "Before YOU, O LORD, no
creature lives in righteousness." [Psalms (Tehillym) 143. 2 Tanakh,
Kethuvim] All are under ALMIGHTY GOD'S righteous condemnation.
"Therefore by the deeds of the Law no flesh will be justified in HIS
sight, for by the Law is the knowledge of sin." [Romans 3. 20] The Law
makes us aware of our sin which, in turn, shows our desperate need of a
SAVIOUR. "Therefore the Law was our tutor to bring us to CHRIST, that
we might be justified by faith." [Galatians 3. 24]
The widespread delusion that a person can be saved by good works is a
VERY DANGEROUS DECEPTION! Many and very wide are on the roads to Hell
and the Eternal Lake of Fire and they are egotistically arrogant in
their supposed goodness.
The MIGHTY CREATOR HIMSELF had to become a MAN and keep the Law, which
MESSIAH YESHUA did, to fulfill the Law to be our ADVOCATE before GOD THE
FATHER. Then when HE died, the LORD JESUS "redeemed us from the curse
of the Law, being made a curse for us." [Galatians 3. 13] "Now the
righteousness of GOD apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by
the Law and the Prophets, even the righteousness of GOD through faith in
MESSIAH YESHUA, to all and on all who believe." [Romans 3. 21 - 22] The
Righteous LORD JESUS, MESSIAH is our PROPITIATION by HIS atoning blood,
through faith, that HE might be "just" and the "JUSTIFIER" for those who
believe in HIM and follow HIM with their whole being. And, MESSIAH'S
righteousness will be accredited to them making us joint-heirs of the
Kingdom with the LORD YESHUA, our BELOVED REDEEMER.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
Consider your latter end; fear GOD, THE HOLY CREATOR, take heed to HIS
counsel, seek understanding.
As we bow in adoration before the KING OF GLORY,
...may ALMIGHTY GOD'S love and peace shine out of each of us
...bright enough for all to see
...clear enough for all to follow.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 36 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Tue 24 Aug 2010, 1:25 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
The way to learn is to begin.

KING OF THE JEWS
"Then ELOHIYM said, 'Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness.
They shall rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the cattle,
the whole earth and over all the creeping things that creeps on earth.'"
[Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 26 Tanakh, Torah]

The whole history of mankind since the Garden of Eden is a struggle to
gain dominion -- that dominion which was lost when our first parents
sinned and brought a curse upon themselves, their posterity, and upon
the very earth itself. Man has been seeking that dominion. However,
apart from and independent of ALMIGHTY GOD -- through science,
commerce, industry and in politics -- it ends in failure. Great
Empires are built in blood. . . they rise gloriously, but they weaken
and tumble rapidly.

The Books of Samuel, covering 120 years of Hebrew history, recounts how
our Jewish people desired a king to rule over them; they wanted to be
like the surrounding nations: "And the LORD replied to Samuel, 'Heed
the demand of the people in everything they say to you. For it is not
you they have rejected; it is ME they have rejected as their KING.'" [1
Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 8. 7 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Almighty LORD GOD OF HOSTS granted our forefathers their request to
prove to them the weakness of humanity and to reveal to them their sin
in rejection of their TRUE KING. Saul was chosen as the first king of
the Jews and was publicly introduced by the "SPIRIT OF PROPHECY" coming
upon him. But Saul disobeyed GOD and so was rejected. Then David was
anointed king -- he was not only a great ruler, but was a warrior,
singer and poet. He was a humble man, aware of his human weaknesses.
However, David committed adultery and murder, proving again man's
failure and limitations.

The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, however, promised to David a RIGHTEOUS KING.
This BLAMELESS ONE would not fall! HE would be beyond human weaknesses
and sin. HE would be an ETERNAL KING WHO would be called "The SON OF
David" -- WHO would be sinless, WHO would rule in righteousness, WHO
would conquer all HIS enemies. HIS Kingdom would be an Everlasting
Kingdom which would culminate in a PERSON WHO lives forever!

The ALMIGHTY LORD OF GLORY said: "I have sworn by MY holiness; I will
not lie to David. His line shall continue forever, his throne as the sun
before ME, as the moon, established forever, an enduring, faithful
witness in the sky. Selah" [Psalms (Tehillym) 89. 35 - 37 Tanakh,
Kethuvim]

In Matthew's Gospel, in the very beginning of the book, in the very
first verse, the genealogy of this COMING KING is listed: HE is
described as the SON OF DAVID, the SON OF ABRAHAM, the SON OF GOD. In
Luke's GOSPEL, we read the announcement concerning this PROMISED KING to
the virgin Miryam (Mary): "And behold, you will conceive in your womb
and bring forth a SON, and shall call HIS NAME JESUS. HE will be great,
and will be called the "SON OF THE HIGHEST" and the LORD GOD will give
HIM the throne of HIS father David. And HE will reign over the House of
Jacob forever, and of HIS Kingdom there will be no end." [Luke 1. 31 -
33]

When the wise men of the East came to Jerusalem following the STAR
mentioned in Balaam's prophesy (Numbers/B'Midvar 24. 15-19); they
inquired of Herod, who asked the priests and scribes, "Where is HE that
is born KING of the Jews?" [Matthew 2. 2] They spoke of the BABE as
"KING of the Jews" for by this title (RULER in Israel) was HE called in
the prophecy of Micah, the Jewish prophet and quoted in Matthew 2:6 --
"And you, O Bethlehem of Ephrathah, least among the clan of Judah, from
you ONE shall come forth to be RULER (or KING) of Israel for ME –
ONE WHOSE origin is from of old, from everlasting." [Micah (Michah) 5. 2
Tanakh, Nevi'im]

It was the custom for a man, ever since the first king of Israel, when
he would be publicly acclaimed as king, to ride into the City of
Jerusalem on a donkey. Zechariah, another Jewish prophet foretold:
"Rejoice greatly, Fair Zion! Shout, Fair Jerusalem! Lo, your KING is
coming to you; HE is victorious, triumphant and just and having
salvation, yet humble, riding on an ass, on a donkey foaled by a
she-ass." [Zechariah (Zecharyah) 9. 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

O, my dear Jewish people, there was a GREAT ONE WHO rode into the City
of Jerusalem on the exact day prophesied by Daniel, on this lowly animal
and was hailed by our Jewish forefathers "Ho'Sannah to THE SON of
David!" This HOLY ONE later was rejected, crucified, and the
inscription upon the cross declared HE was KING of the Jews, and also
the KING of kings. But our people who had demanded a king (as a nation)
rejected their TRUE KING when HE came, saying: "We will not have this
MAN rule over us." This KING'S diadem was a crown of thorns. HIS
throne, a blood-splotched cross. HIS robe was a crimson flow from His
thorn-crowned brow, His beaten face and bleeding back. His coronation
companions were two thieves on either side of Him. His inaugural speech
was a lonely cry: "MY GOD, MY GOD, why have YOU forsaken ME?"

This KING of the Jews is the LORD YESHUA ha'Mashiach, the SON OF THE
LIVING GOD! There is coming a day when every knee shall bow and every
tongue shall confess HE is LORD of lords and KING of kings! Instead of
the crown-of-thorns, HE will wear a crown of gold and precious jewels.
In place of an old rugged cross, HE will sit upon a glorious throne, the
Throne of David. The LORD JESUS will wear the garments of royalty,
replacing the robe of blood. HIS coronation companions will be, instead
of the thieves on either side, the redeemed and overcomers of all the
ages who will sit with HIM on HIS throne and rule and reign with HIM
forever! That time is soon-coming when this will be literally
experienced, are you ready?

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
We gratefully acknowledge, O LORD, our GOD, that YOU are our CREATOR &
PRESERVER, the ROCK of our life and the SHIELD of our help. We render
thanks to YOU for our lives which are in YOUR hand, for our souls which
are ever in YOUR keeping, for YOUR wondrous providence and for YOUR
continuous goodness, which YOU bestow upon us day by day. Truly, YOUR
mercies never fail and YOUR loving-kindness never ceases. Therefore, we
confidently, and most gratefully put our trust in YOU.

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 36 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Mon 23 Aug 2010, 6:58 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Living a CHRIST-like-life is favorable in the world-to-come, but
threatening to this; yet, worth it all!

THROUGH IT ALL
"But now, thus says the LORD – WHO created you, O Jacob, WHO formed
you, O Israel: Fear not, for I will redeemed you; I have singled you out
by name, YOU ARE MINE. When you pass through water, I will be with you;
through streams, they shall not overwhelm you. When you walk through
fire, you shall not be scorched; through flame, it shall not burn you."
[Isaiah (Yeshayah) 43. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This tremendous promise is essentially to be understood in a spiritual
connotation - a deliverance through overflowing sorrows and fiery
trials. However, the ETERNAL ONE has demonstrated HIS ability to
fulfill the spiritual aspects of the promise by HIS miraculous literal
fulfillment in the physical realm also. The crossing of the Red Sea by
the Israelites is one literal example of safely passing through deep
waters.

Those "Three Fiery Israelites" - Hananiah (Shadrach), Mishael (Meshach)
and Azariah (Abed-nego) were in Nebuchadnezzar's fiery furnace from
where the MOST HIGH GOD delivered them from burning. This, after HE
personally joined them in a sizzlingly glorious "victory march" through
the flames. [Daniel/Danyel 3. 25] As the three emerged untouched from
the flames of the "furnace that was heated to excess," the king, the
satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the royal companions were
awe-struck when they "looked at those men, on whose bodies the fire had
had no effect, the hair of whose heads had not been singed, whose shirts
looked no different, to whom not even the odor of fire clung." [Daniel
(Danyel) 3. 22, 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"The world that then existed perished, being flooded with water, but the
heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same WORD, are
reserved for fire until the Day of Judgment and perdition of ungodly
men." [2 Peter 3. 6 - 7] The whole world perished once, being flooded
with water. But, "a few, that is, eight souls were saved through
water." [1 Peter 3. 20] In Noah's Ark, the eight were carried safely
away from the violent, sin-filled world. Furthermore, "the heavens
will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with
fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned
up." [2 Peter 3. 10] However, all who trust in the saving blood of
MESSIAH YESHUA will be "saved; yet so as through fire." [1 Corinthians
3. 15]

In our firmly grounded confidence in the precious LORD JESUS, may we
boast as did the psalmist: "YOU have tried us, O GOD, refining us as
one refines silver. YOU have caught us in a net, caught us in trammels
(restraints, chains) and laid afflictions on our loins. YOU have let men
ride over us; we have endured FIRE and WATER, and You have brought us
through to prosperity." [Psalms (Tehillym) 66. 10 - 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]
The MIGHTY Eternal GOD keeps us THROUGH the fires and waters not FROM
them for our refining and HIS glory.

These recorded accounts of the past and promises of the future assure us
that Omnipotent ALL-LOVING GOD is able to deliver us through the deep,
difficult waters and painful, burning trials of this immediate life.
"That the trial of your faith…though it be tested by fire, may be
found to praise, honour and glory at the appearing of MESSIAH YESHUA."
[1 Peter 1. 7] Whatever comes our way, whatever trials be our lot, we
can trust in our REDEEMER & LORD, through it all.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
When things around you appear dark and terrifying, hold on to the
promises of LORD GOD, HE is in complete control.
Timeless words: "Nahamu, Nahamu Ami -- Comfort, oh comfort mY people."

Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 36 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Sun 22 Aug 2010, 4:22 pm

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Do not confuse the image of life with life itself.
THE PROMISE, A NEW CREATION
"Raise your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath: Though
the heavens should melt away like smoke, and the earth wear out like a
garment, and its inhabitants die out like gnats; MY victory and
salvation shall stand, MY triumph and righteousness shall remain
unbroken." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 51. 6 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
There is a glorious future awaiting the redeemed of the LORD. Although
the MOST HIGH OMNIPOTENT GOD'S primeval creation of the heavens and the
earth is eternal [Psalms/Tehillym 148] these are now groaning in pain
under the effects of sin and the curse. When our KING, the LORD YESHUA
returns, all will be made new and right and "creation itself also will
be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the GLORIOUS LIBERTY."
[Romans 8. 21]
Moreover, the scars of sin and death will even be burned away by the
refining fires of the ALMIGHTY ONE for "the LORD is not slack concerning
HIS promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us,
not willing that any should perish but that all should come to
repentance. But the DAY OF THE LORD will come as a thief in the night,
in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements
will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it
will be burned up. Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved,
what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,
looking for and hastening the coming of the DAY OF GOD, because of which
the heavens will be dissolved, being on fire, and the elements will melt
with fervent heat?" [2 Peter 3. 9 - 12]
There are explicit references in WRITTEN HOLY SCRIPTURES to these great
promises of a "new heaven and earth" which assures us that they will be
so wonderful this present earth and its heavens will soon be totally
forgotten: "For as the new heaven and the new earth which I will make
shall endure by My will - declares the LORD - 'So shall your seed and
your name endure.'" [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 66. 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im] This new
heaven and earth will remain eternally and so will all who dwell there,
with their true spiritual children. "For behold! I am creating a new
heaven and a new earth; the former things shall not be remembered, they
shall never come to mind." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 65. 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im]
"Nevertheless we, according to HIS promise, look for new heavens and a
new earth in which righteousness dwells." [2 Peter 3. 13] Not only
will sin be absent, but the results of sin and the curse will have no
place there. "Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first
heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea.
And GOD will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no
more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the
former things have passed away." [Revelation 21. 1, 4]
"Heaven and earth will pass away, but MY WORDS will by no means pass
away." [Matthew 24. 35] The TESTIMONIES of the LORD ALMIGHTY are true
and they are our assurance of an eternal inheritance in HIM. Such
unfathomable free gifts we can receive, just for the taking.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of
Israel!
As we bid farewell to Sabbath, may the MIGHTY GOD WHO separates the holy
from the secular and mundane, forgive our sins and grant us a week of
peace as we continue to learn HIS WORD and HIS WISDOM. The LORD is my
PRAISE, my STRENGTH, my FORTRESS, my REFUGE -- in days of affliction and
at all times.
Tov Shavua (have a good week)! – Be sure to take some of
Sabbath's sweetness, peace, joy and gladness into your week.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.

Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY - Page 36 Empty Re: Delrifkah: Thought FOR TODAY

Post  Admin Fri 20 Aug 2010, 10:49 am

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Love is a river that must be guarded with the banks of truth and
sincerity.
WALK IN LOVE
"I (Paul), therefore, the prisoner of the LORD, beseech you to walk
worthy of the calling with which you were called, with all lowliness and
gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,
endeavoring to keep the unity of the SPIRIT in the bond of peace"
[Ephesians 4. 1 - 3]
The book of Ephesians uses the lovely term "in love" six various
times each filled with encouragement, hope and enrichment. First, we are
made aware that the LORD GOD "has chosen us in (MESSIAH YESHUA)
before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without
blame before HIM in love" [Ephesians 1. 4]
The fact that we are specifically elected (chosen) and positioned in the
LORD JESUS CHRIST with HIS accredited holiness is centered in HIS love.
This means that our spiritual lives are "rooted and grounded in
love" [Ephesians 3. 17], because they are firmly established in HIM
WHO is INCARNATE LOVE.
This amazing love for us from the GIVER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS, illuminates
and energizes us, must then display itself through our lives. . . we
must love in lowliness, gentleness, longsuffering, and bear with one
another no matter the personal frustration or disappointment it may
cause.
In witnessing and teaching, we must always be careful to speak the truth
only, but even that is not enough. We must do so primarily
"speaking the truth in love" – that the whole body of YESHUA
"may grow up in all things into HIM WHO is the head –
CHRIST...being built together for a habitation of GOD in the
SPIRIT." [Ephesians 4. 15 w/1. 22] Consistently practiced by all
members of that great spiritual body doing their share, "causes
growth of the body for the edifying of itself in love." [Ephesians
4. 16]
For the final intricately elaborate love statement: "Therefore be
imitators of GOD as dear children. And walk in love, as MESSIAH also has
loved us and given HIMSELF for us, an offering and a sacrifice to GOD
for a sweet-smelling aroma." [Ephesians 5. 1 - 2]
The LORD has chosen us in love, rooted and grounded us in love, and now
we should be patient (refrain yourself) with each other, as needed, and
build each other up in love, speaking the truth in love, and walking
daily in HIS wondrous love. In all things love others as we love the
MASTER. Love above all things, it is the bond of perfection.

Sha'alu (Pray) for the Shalom (Peace) of Jerusalem and all of Israel!
We praise YOU, MOST HOLY God and ask that YOUR PRESENCE be manifest to
us in all YOUR works, so that reverence for YOU may fill the hearts of
YOUR creatures. May all the children of men bow before YOU in humility
and unite to do YOUR will with one heart, that all may acknowledge that
YOURS alone is the power, dominion and majesty; and that YOUR NAME is
exalted above all.
Praying for the peace of Jerusalem is praying for the return of Messiah
Jesus and His Kingdom.
