Doulos Is initiating a SHOE DRIVE for the Doulos Children's home in
India. We have received pictures of the condition of the shoes and have
made a new "album" called "Doulos Childrens Home" (it's the second from
left when you open the photos albums page.
We have included some new pictures of the 25 children wearing their new
clothes furnished at Christmas time as well as some close up photos of
the shoes that need replacing. Our goal is $600 which will give each kid
two pairs of shoes, 1 black and 1 white.
Please take a look at the photos. Click "photos" in the navigation bar
to the left and then click on the "Doulos Children's Home" album to see
these photos.

Doulos Visit to India and Kenya From: Robert
I will be out of the country for some time. During that time I hope to
visit both Kenya and India, speak to a number of pastor's meetings,
visit some churches, and see how our 21 orphan kids are doing. Please
remember both the Indians and the Kenyans in your prayers.
It has been about a year since I have seen our fellow Christians in
those countries and I miss very much their fellowship. For those of you
who help with Doulos in support or other ways, we are making a video
this time that will show a lot of the places where we visit and the work
that Doulos is doing. On our return home, we will try to make this
video material available to the Doulos Yahoo Group and use it for
making presentations to churches.

Re: Doulos International News and Prayers plz
Hi, Elaine: It's good to hear from you. I'm sorry I've been unavailable
for several weeks now.
Here is my excuse:I'm getting ready to go travelling to Asia and to
Africa. Doulos has a home for children (21 of them) I will be visiting
the children and talking with our co-workers who care for them. In
Kenya, I expect to visit with our co-worker Ezra Ochola who is doing a
great job of getting Doulos started in that country. We hope to some day
have a children's home there and perhaps a training center for pastors.
Please pray for these Doulos works and for our trip as well. These trips
are difficult, but there is great reward in seeing these Christians in
other countries.

From Doulos International Pakistan Correspondent Ashfaq--
I had the privilege today of talking with Ashfaq--Here' s a short summary
of our conversation.
Ashfaq is on his way to Singh State (I understand this is the area
surrounding Karachi, the largest city in Pakistan---a center of
population and unrest---not an easy place for Christians to live and
work.
He is once again helping with relief aid on behalf of the livestock and
animals of Pakistan. This is very important because the cattle, horses,
and sheep represent the wealth of the rural Pakistani--if the farmer
loses his animals, he goes hungry. On the other hand, if the rural
people can survive with their animals, then the increase in the herds
and flocks will generate income and food for their families.
The problem is that recently there have been extensive floods in the
southern areas of Pakistan--the roadsides are covered with water and
millions of people have lost their homes and been forced onto the roads.
Even in good times, they lead very precarious lives. Remember that they
have children who have been displaced from their schools and their lives
have been severely disrupted.
Doulos Pakistan by way of Ashfaq is seen as helping people survive these
trying times.
Please pray for the welfare of the people, especially those who have
lost their homes and livelihoods. A number of American Christians have
visited Pakistan lately to help the people there.

Dear Brothers and sisters,
Peace,
I would like to share with you the following.
Unusual long spell of monsoon rains affected 8.8 million people in the Province of Sindh, Southern part of Pakistan. The heavy rains showered for day and nights in all 23 districts of the province. The last spell of rain on August 31, 2011 was the heaviest. Standing crops of sugarcane maze and paddies etc washed away in the water. Five to six feet water is standing in the fields, roads and houses, public places and villages and towns have been disconnected from each other. 13.88 million Houses have been damaged. 5 million people are living under the open sky along the roads or where ever they find a small piece of dry land.
Rain victims are facing acute shortage of food, clean drinking water, shelter and hygiene needs. Water borne diseases like, cholera, malaria, skin diseases have been broken out. Agriculture and livestock are the main sources of the people living in lower and upper Sindh. 90 percent crops have been destroyed and millions of animals have been died of mosquitoes. Everyday hundreds of animals are being died of outbreak of malaria.
All the rain drain systems in the province have been badly failed. There is no exit of water and due to stagnant water malaria has been broken out which is affecting children, women, old and sick. Everyday animals are dying in hundreds. The local administration is dumping the animals.
I have led animal response program during floods 2010 in Pakistan. Ravi Foundation a Pakistan organization was supported by International Fund for Animals Welfare, (IFAW) to feed thousands of animals.
This year, IFAW is again interested to fund a program to feed the animals. I was on my assessment visit these days and have just finished the work and thought to share the things with you all.
I have seen the destruction of two earthquakes, 2005, 2008 and floods 2010. Those were very severe and human loss of occurred than the 2011. But what I have seen is, the present one is the biggest disaster. The reason rains have affected all twenty three districts. The rains may have destroyed houses, crops, human beings and animals. The outbreak of diseases and mosquitoes are very dangerous. It's a mass level issue.
Shelter, health care, hygiene kits, Mosquito nets, bamboos and safe drinking water are the urgent needs. I have attached few pictures for you which give you an idea of the situation. You may also view a small video, I have developed.

Dear Brother Robert, Peace, Thanks for funds to support. These have been received.
Things in Pakistan re extremely terrible. The hot weather and extreme
power outages has made social, economic life paralyzed. For not having
electricity, there is no water, no business and people cannot sleep in
the night. People are becoming mentally sick. I know you cannot help to
change this situation. But just sharing what we are confronting.
Its seems there is no country. Christians are being targeted and killed
or either deprived from their jobs or work.
I myself is sick for the last five days for heat.

Pakistan email: Doulos in Pakistan is Making a Difference
The unique work of Doulos International in Pakistan continues to expand
and be more important with time. Below is a letter from Ashfaq--he
called today and I asked a few questions--he expanded on the
significance and meaning of his email.
He called a meeting of denomination and church leaders and pastors,
having them meet with the District Police person for that area. This is
the first time that this kind of action has occurred as far as we
know--most Pakistani's are afraid of any interaction with the government
generally and the police particularly.
On the other hand, Doulos (through Ashfaq) is achieving considerable
success in getting Christians and the government people (including
police) together and working on the same side. This is slow but will pay
great rewards in the increasing freedoms and rights of the Christians
who simply do not have much leadership from anyone who can organize them
and represent them to the powers that be.
We Christians in this country can rejoice at the progress Doulos is
making. We are providing the leadership that is needed and the place
(Doulos Center) for meetings to take place. The Christians are
responding positively to our leadership and the government along with
the Moslem majority are expressing their approval and surprise that the
Christians are opening more and more dialogues with them.
Ashfaq explained that such meetings and initiatives are helping Doulos
to (a) empower the Christians to deal in an above board and honest way
with others while remaining part of a very poor and small minority. (b)
Give voice to a layer of society who here-to-fore has had no voice in
the society. (c) Bringing Doulos recognition as being the organization
which can be relied upon to be fair and friendly and focused on solving
problems--instead of making them worse.

Rev. Fr. Parvez Emmanuel, first Cousin of Mr. Clement Shahbaz Bhatti
read out the last message of Mr. Bhatti to nation. The main points of
the message were,
Christians respect the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and they are not
against the law but they are concerned and demanding that under this law
innocent Christians are trapped in false cases. They are killed
brutally. Those who are convicted, they are killed and given no chance
to prove their innocence.
Christians are taught love, peace, hope and promote life in Churches.

Pakistan Article--Funeral of Bhatti
Posted by: "Robert"barkley
Fri Mar 4, 2011 6:21 am (PST)
KHUSHPUR, Pakistan (Reuters) – Shouting "death for killers,"
thousands of Pakistanis on Friday buried the country's only Christian
government minister who was killed for challenging a law that stipulates
death for insulting Islam.
On Wednesday, the Taliban killed Minister for Minorities Shahbaz Bhatti
for blasphemy, the latest sign violent religious conservatism is
becoming more mainstream in Pakistan, a trend which could further
destabilize the nuclear-armed U.S. ally.
Bhatti was the second senior official to be assassinated this year for
opposing the blasphemy law. Provincial governor Salman Taseer was shot
dead in January by one of his bodyguards.
"The message of Shahbaz Bhatti is to purge Pakistan of killers and
hatred," Reverend Father Emmanuel Pervez told thousands of men and women
gathered in Bhatti's village in central Pakistan for mass prayers.
"We will not accept oppression ... Bhatti's message is that we should
not let Pakistan be defamed."
In a sign of mourning, black flags fluttered atop houses in Khushpur,
Bhatti's mainly Christian home village, 290 km (180 miles) south of
Islamabad. Around 5,000 men, women and children thronged the village
cemetery for the burial.
"These terrorists must be hanged publicly to stop them from committing
such brutal crimes," Hina Gill, a member of the Christian Minority
Alliance said. "These terrorists are wearing the mask of religion to
defame religion."
"Bhatti, your blood will bring revolution," some mourners shouted,
raising their hands in the air as his body was taken to the burial site
in an ambulance.
Not only Christians mourned Bhatti.
"Shahbaz Bhatti has tried hard to promote interfaith harmony but those
who want to destabilize Pakistan have killed him," said Badruddin
Chaudhry, a Muslim attending the funeral.
Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani attended a church service for Bhatti in
the capital Islamabad on Friday.
"All the minorities have lost a great leader," Gilani said in the
church. "I assure you, we will try our utmost to bring the culprits to
justice."
Interior Minister Rehman Malik also denounced the killing but said
Bhatti himself was to blame for his death.
"I think it was his mistake," Rehman Malik said, adding that Bhatti
wanted to keep a low profile. "It was his own decision."
President Asif Ali Zardari did not attend the service.
NO SECURITY ESCORT
Bhatti was traveling in his official car without a security escort when
gunmen opened fire on him near his house in Islamabad, killing him on
the spot.
After shooting Bhatti, his attackers dropped leaflets saying they had
acted in the name of the Punjabi Taliban and al Qaeda because of
Bhatti's opposition to the blasphemy law.
Pakistan's blasphemy law sanctions the death penalty for insulting Islam
or its Prophet Mohammad.
Bhatti, a 42-year-old Catholic, had called for a reform of the law which
rights groups say has been used to persecute Christians and other
minorities, which make up around 2 percent of Pakistan's 180 million
population.
Some liberal members of the ruling Pakistan People's Party, led by
Zardari, also backed efforts to reform the blasphemy law but the
government has distanced itself from anyone calling for amendments for
fear of a backlash from extremists, a move that has dismayed moderates
and liberals.
The death sentence has never been carried out and most convictions are
thrown out on appeal, but mobs have killed many accused of blasphemy.

ISLAMABAD (Reuters) – Pakistan must not buckle to
extremism,President Asif Ali Zardari
http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110303/wl_nm/us_pakistan_ assassination
said on Thursday, a day after Taliban militants killed his government's
only Christian minister for challenging a law on blasphemy toward Islam.
The assassination of Minister for Minorities Shahbaz Bhatti in broad
daylight on Wednesday threatens to further destabilize the nuclear-armed
U.S. ally where many fear a strain of violent religious conservatism is
becoming more mainstream in society.
Zardari
,
head of a government many Pakistanis hold in little regard, said
Bhatti's killing was the result of a "negative mindset and intolerance"
that had led to the killing of a provincial governor in January.
Punjab governor Salman Taseer
was also shot dead, by his own bodyguard, for his staunch opposition to
the blasphemy law that mandates the death sentence for anyone insulting
Islam.
"We have to fight this mindset and defeat them. We will not be
intimidated nor will we retreat," the official APP news agency quoted
Zardari as saying.
"Such acts will not deter the government from eliminating extremism and
terrorism," he said. "Shahbaz fell victim to the negative mindset and
intolerance that also took the lives of... Benazir Bhutto and Punjab
Governor Salman Taseer."
Former prime minister Bhutto, who was Zardari's wife, was killed by
militants in 2007.
Zardari's fears for Pakistan's future were echoed by several newspapers
and lawmakers from minoritycommunities
in the parliament who also called on the government to take a firm stand
against extremists.
"Mr. Bhatti's brutal assassination has once again highlighted the fact
that we are fast turning into a violent society," the liberal Daily
Times newspaper said in its editorial.
"This is not the time to be frightened into silence. It is time to
implement the law and not surrender in front of extremists."
Condemnation poured in from around the world after news of Bhatti's
killing broke, with the Church of England and the Vatican decrying the
violence against Christians in Pakistan.
"I hope the government of Pakistan will not only hold the killers to
account, but reflect on how it can more effectively confront the
extremism which is poisoning Pakistani society," United Nations human
rights chief Navi Pillay said from Geneva on Wednesday.
The controversial blasphemy law has been in the spotlight since last
November, when a court sentenced a Christian mother of four to death
after her neighbors complained she had insulted Prophet Muhammad. Both
Taseer and Bhatti championed the cause of the woman, a farmhand.
Al Qaeda-linked Pakistani Taliban militants, fighting to bring down the
state, had called for Bhatti's death because of his attempts to amend
the law.
These killings, along with frequent militant attacks and chronic
economic problems have raised fears for the future of the U.S.-ally,
where the unpopular coalition government is struggling to cope.
Ties between the two old allies have hit new lows after the arrest in
January of Raymond Davis, a U.S. Central Intelligence Agency contractor,
who shot dead two armed men in the city of Lahore. The United States
saysDavis
has immunity, but Pakistan has said it is for the courts to decide.
Davis is on trial for murder, and the second hearing in his case was
adjourned on Thursday. His immunity hearing is March 14.
Prime Minister Yusuf Raza Gilani
announced three days of official mourning for Bhatti's death and said
flags would fly at half-mast on Friday. Police said they had detained
around 20 people for questioning.
Zardari's government has repeatedly said it would not change the
blasphemy law, and officials have distanced themselves from anyone
calling for amendments for fear of a backlash from extremists, a move
that dismayed moderates and liberals.
"Of course the silent majority, which keeps silent over these things,
also must bear responsibility, " I.A. Rehman, director of the Human
Rights Commission of Pakistan, told the Express 24/7 television channel
Wednesday night. "There's blood on their hands also."
The funeral of Bhatti, a Catholic, is expected to take place on Friday
or Saturday, his family friends said.
Christians and other religious minorities have staged protests in
several cities, denouncing his death and have called on the government
to provide them protection.
"We are sons of the soil but still we are being discriminated against.
But we cannot be suppressed," Aafia Nasir, a female Christian
parliamentarian said in the National Assembly.

As we have said many times, publicity and clarity are weapons that
oppose evil and things done in secrecy that harm Christians and the
gospel message. I hope that everyone who reads this correspondence will
share these things with others. This will raise the awareness of the
whole world to the difficulties Christians in Pakistan encounter and
will increase the world pressure on those in power to do the right

Dear Brother Robert, Peace, I was invited by Democratic Commission for
Human Development (DCHD) Lahore and organization working for the rights
and protection of religious minorities in Pakistan. This group has been
formed some 17 years back to educate people on Human rights. I have
close association with them. They conducted National Consultation on "
Pakistan's current crises and role of Civil Society"
People from all states of Pakistan attended the two days consultation.
Lawyers, NGOs, educationists, government officials, and people from
religious minorities mostly Christians attended the program.
The national consultation has expressed serious reservation on the
growing threats to Christian Community in Pakistan. A well known Lawyer
Mr. Kamran Arif presented his research report how Christian community
and other religious minorities are trapped in false accusations of
Blasphemy laws. They research immediately urged government to take steps
to stop the deteriorating situation of Christians and other religious
minorities in Pakistan.
The socio-economic and political turmoil in the country has also
worsening the situation. Pakistan is at crossroad and people have to
decide either they want to go with terrorism, destruction or development
or peace.
I was able to speak to people from all over Pakistan and shared with
them the work of Doulos International. Though it was not a religious
conference, however, shared how Doulos International Pakistan is trying
to empower Christians and making peace with other communities including
Muslims in Pakistan.

Rise in Kidnapping and Selling Kidneys of Poor Christian Workers in
Pakistan.
There have been heinous crimes at high peak against poor Christians in
Pakistan. In the last ten days two cases have been brought into the
notice of Doulos International which shows the drastic situation of poor
brick kiln workers of Christian community. They are trapped into
vicious circle of debt/loan. This leads to never ending exploitation of
the workers. The law enforcement agencies and local administration' s
traditional negligence further made the life of these workers miserable.
The only hope of these poor workers is higher and supreme judiciary.
The two stories are reported.
Meherban Masih (known as Ladoo Masih) 39 years old is a resident of
village no 287 G.B Palasour, District, Toba Tek Singh. He got married
with Shamila Bibi 27 years old on August 9, 1998. Meherban was working
in his village at brick making factories in Toba Tek Singh. God blessed
Meherban and his wife with one daughter Nyla who is seven years old.
Both the husband and wife are illiterate and cannot read and write.
Meherban shared his story that, Three years back, Rana Muhammad
Zulfiqar, Malik Muhammad Tufail, and Irshad, Sher khan the owners of
brick making factory contacted Meherban and his elder brother Nazar
Masih to work at their Brick Making factory in Ada (Bus Stand) Nooropur
Chahila, Qila Didar Singh, Hafizabad Road 01 Kilometer Road, Gujranwala.
The owner Rana Zulfiqar appealed again and again to work at his brick
making factories and assured both the brothers that they will be paid
according to law and their families will be taken care of.
Meherban and Nazar agreed after the number of requests made by the owner
and went with their families to Qila Didar Singh, Gujranwala.
Meherban told in the beginning, things went well, but after two months,
we were informed by the factory Munshi (Clerk) that they (Meherban &
Nazar) owe money therefore, they have to pay it from their wages. My
brother Nazar and I were surprised to hear that we have not got any
money neither from the clerk nor the owner. When I enquired, he showed
us a register which showed signs of thumbs. The clerk tried to prove
that these are of my brother and mine thumbs and we have put these after
the agreement with owner"
"My brother and I come to know that clerk and the owner has
exploited us for being illiterate. We decided to protest against this to
owner. When we spoke to owner against this injustice, he called his
armed men and ordered them to teach us lesson. The armed men badly
tortured my brother and me with steel rods and chained us for two weeks.
My brother's wife Bilqees and my wife Shamila went to clerk and
owner Rana Zulfiqar to know about us. They threatened our families that
they will be killed if they speak to anyone about this.
Nazar Masih the elder brother Meherban told "We begged the owner to
release us as our children and wives were without food and looking for
us. The owner forced us to accept that we have to pay him Rs. 250000/-
(US 2976 $s). Our family will not be allowed to speak to anybody without
his permission. None of our family member will be allowed to travel to
see any relatives on Christmas, weddings and or deaths"
Biqees Bibi wife of Nazar Masih told, the owner never paid full wages of
the work. The owner was used to ask his armed men to beat our children
and husbands.
Bilqees Bibi added she saw herself; Rana Zulfiqar the owner and Clerk
Muhammad Habib abused sexually Shamila (wife of Meherban) on gun point.
They raped her twice or thrice a week. Whenever she is resisted, they
threatened her that the whole family will be killed.
One day, when she was raped by the owner, I could not stop myself and
confronted the owner. He threatened me that if I will speak about it to
anybody, he will rape my three young daughters too.
I could not sleep the whole night after the serious threats to my young
daughters. I decided not to share what the owner does with Shamila but
stressed Meherban and my husband to escape as our daughters are not
saved here. We decided whenever, we will get chance we will run away
from his slavery.
The time was passing, one day the owner came to us in anger to return
him the Rs. 250000/- (US 2976 $s). We told him that we have been
struggling hard to pay him. He become furious and demanded that he wants
it now. We told him our condition that whatever, is earned he has been
deducting most of the wages.
The owner said, there is very simple solution, Bilqees can sell her one
kidney and this way, my money can be returned. I at once refused
because I had not been keeping well and had six children to look after.
But the owner did not listen and overpowered me. The armed men put me in
a car. My eyes were tied with a black cloth and I was taken to a
hospital. I was made unconscious for several hours. I saw my right side
was stitched and my clothes were full of blood. I came to know that my
right kidney has been removed and sold by the kiln owner, Rana Muhammad
Zulfiqar. When I hear, this I started crying. The armed men came in the
operation theater and called me names and asked me to stop otherwise, I
will be killed"
I was brought home and my family was told that my kidney has been sold
in Rs. 250000/- (US 2976 $S). Again, we were told not to share about it
to anybody otherwise there will be dire consequences.
Our families got so much tired of exploitation and repression of the
owner and clerk.
Meherban told, "two months back, our families were succeed to escape
from the slavery of Rana Muhammad Zulfiqar and reached our native
village Palasour in Toba Tek Singh. We had been living happily and
working in another brick making factory in Toba Tek Singh.
A couple of weeks back, my wife and daughter went to give help to my
brother Falksher's wife who was expecting a child in village No 363
J. B, Bahminiwala, Tehsil Gojra, District Toba Tek Singh. On February
21, 2011 at 1.30 pm, the armed men of Rana Muhammad Zulfiqar kidnapped
Shamila (my wife) and Nyla 7 my daughter from the brick making factory
of Baba Ashraf when they were waiting for the bus to come back to
Palasour, Toba Tek Singh"
Since my wife and daughter have been kidnapped the clerk of Rana
Muhammad Zulfiqar, Muhammad Habib is calling me from his cell phone
which is, 0346-6050848 that my wife and daughter are in their custody
and if I ( Meherban) want to get my wife and daughter released from
their custody. I had to pay them Rs. 250000/- (US2876 $s). If, I will
not be able to arrange that much money, then my wife and daughter will
be sold. In case, I informed the law enforcement agencies, then my wife
and daughter will be killed.
He told "I am not in a position to fight a case and get police's
help as they too demand money for everything. My only hope is Chief
Justice of Pakistan who can give me justice" I have sent him my
application to take sue motto action to get my wife and daughter
released from the custody of Rana Muhammad Zulfiqar and take legal
action against him"
In the second story, Inayat Masih of District Kasur's twenty five
family members were made slave of a brick making factories. They were
working in a brick making factory in District Sahiwal. They owner made
fake papers against them and put pressure on Inayat Masih that he had to
pay him money. The owner forced the two sons of Inayat Masih to sell
their kidneys. The boys refused but they were kidnapped and their
kidneys were sold at Rupees 800000/- (US 9523 $s)
The owner is still demanding more money to be paid. On refusal, the
family was badly tortured. During the torture, the daughter in law of
Inayat Masih was injured who was pregnant. Her pregnancy was
miscarriage. There has been no justice for them as well and they are
walking here and there in search of justice.

1. Cambofdia--Report from Bill Singleton
rxbarkley
Mon Feb 14, 2011 5:09 am (PST)
The Lord has blessed us more than we deserve. Today we taught at two
congregations and were blessed with 10 baptisms into Christ. That does
not count what our circuit riders accomplished. We have been given three
new congregations this year , which is about average for what God
normally does for us. Last month we failed to have a baptism a day which
is less than what God normally does for us. This month we have had
Christian parents and their congregation ask us to train two more of
their sons ( we have 15 young men in training-not counting the orphanes
and young ladies-all brought to us by Christian parents). We have had
another of our former students call and ask to come back and continue
his Bible studies. The former student is a brother-in-law of one of our
out standing area preachers, and he did not leave because of any problem
in behavior. A former Buddhist monk has become a Christian and is now
teachig over a hundred children, English daily at one of our outlying
congregations. His family has disowned him for becoming a Christian, but
he is standing strong. God has always been good to us in giving the
increase, but I do worry if it drops off. I do not want our later
efforts to be less than our earlier efforts. If we are doing something
wrong and displeasing God, I want to recognize it early and correct it.
In my January report I did some self examination trying to figure out
why our baptism rate had dropped off. I now think we are alright, but I
must always consider my part in what might be wrong. I appreciate your
prayers. Thank you very much for remembering us and praying for
us.......... In Christ's service..... ......... .Bill Singleton.
P.S. I am worried about the trouble on the Thai/ Cambodian boarder in
the North. Here is a recent message on it from a recent communication (I
don't know if you received this are Not).
"I would like for you to also pray for the situation along the
Cambodian/Thailand boarder. A while back the U.N. got Thailand to commit
to disarming their citizens. Then the "Red Shirts" (Buddhist party
representing the vast majority of Thailand) won an election. The Thai
king had an argument with the new Prime Minister and a Moslem general
came to his side and militarily took over the government. Cambodia was
full of Moslems from Somalia and Indonesia waiting to go to the United
States on a promise from Obama. Many went to the United States, but many
also went to Thailand and with arms began forcing the Buddhist out of
the developed part of Thailand. The armed Moslem forces are known as the
"Yellow Shirts" and are being called "Government" forces though they
have never won any election. Their power comes solely from force of arms
while the people of Thailand are disarmed. The armed Moslems in Thailand
are now firing rounds into Cambodia and a conflict is brewing along that
boarder."
To continue the above thought... Since Obama has given advanced planes
to the Moslem Thai forces, and is favoring the Moslems, the Cambodian
leaders are now talking about asking Russia to come and back them. The
only thing that I believe might be less desirable is for the Molems to
be successful at conquering part or all of Cambodia. I do not know for
sure that Obama has given the planes to the Moslems, but that is what
the Cambodian military is saying. One of the last things I would like to
see, is for there to develop a significant conflict with Russia coming
in as an advisor for Cambodian forces. Please pray for this and do what
you can to encourage America to stop Obama and this conflict before it
gets started.

Ashfaq who works with Doulos in Pakistan has recently seen the doctor
who is recommending some sugery for nose and throat problems he has been
having.
He has asked our group to pray for his decision and for the doctor's
skill if this surgery becomes a reality.

The following email contains three URL addresses for three articles
written by our Doulos Correspondant in Pakistan (Ashfaq) about things
affecting Christians in Pakistan. These events are important and I hope
you will take the time to read the stories.

Dear Brother Robert, I have written the following story for Assist News
Service USA. They have published my stories. Have a look on it.

The following URL was sent today from Pakistan--it opens a Picassa Album
of pictures showing the Christmas Bazaar that Ashfaq has written to us
about.
This Bazaar is very important for the Christians since it represents a
shift in the attitude of the government toward including Christians in
the subsidizing of holidays--which the Pakistani government has done for
years for the Moslem population but until last year did not include
Christians.
Ashfaq, who works with Doulos International has been successful in
encouraging the Pakistan authorities to treat Moslems and Christians
fairly and equally has been instrumental in bringing about this
betterment of treatment for the Christians. Take as look at the
pictures:
