Church of Sweden To Force All Pastors To Perform Same-Sex Weddings

The Church of Sweden, already known as among the most liberal in the world, will soon be requiring all its pastors to perform marriage ceremonies for same-sex couples. 
This comes as the Swedish Prime Minister Stefan Lofven pledged his support for a proposal to use government power to force the change. 
According to PM Lofven, "no priest in the Swedish Church can refuse to marry same-sex couples" no matter their theological or moral objections, and in the future only pastors who support homosexual marriage will be eligible to be ordained.
The Swedish Church has 6.1 million baptized members and is the largest religious organization in Sweden. 
Until 1996, all Swedish babies were automatically registered with the church unless their parents took steps actively to cancel their children's memberships. 
Until their separation in 1999, the Church of Sweden was an official part of the State. In recent years, the church membership has been on a steady decline of 1% per year and only 2% of Swedish church members regularly attend services.
Performing same-sex marriages in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Sweden is old news, but forcing pastors individually to perform the rite is entirely new. 
The synod of the church, its elected ruling council, recently committed to marrying same-sex couples but up until this point has allowed pastors to decline performing various ceremonies such as weddings, baptisms and funerals based on personal objections. 
This right to individual moral judgment will soon come to an end.
Same-sex marriage has been legal since 2009 in Sweden under the ruling Social Democratic Party and abortion, for any reason, up until week 18 of a pregnancy has been legal since 1974 (even after the 18th week if either the mother or fetus is unhealthy).

Have you lost your spot in the middle class yet?  For years I have been documenting all of the numbers that show that the middle class in America has been steadily shrinking, and we just got another one.  
According to a report that was produced by researchers at Harvard University, the number of Americans that spend more than 30 percent of their incomes on housing has more than doubled.  
In 2001, nearly 16 million Americans couldn't afford the homes that they were currently living in, but by 2015 that figure had jmped to 38 million.
When I write about "economic collapse", I am writing about a process that has been unfolding for decades in this country.  Back in the early 1970s, well over 60 percent of all Americans were considered to be "middle class", but now that number has fallen below 50 percent.  
Never before in our history has the middle class been a minority of the population, but that is where we are at now, and the middle class continues to get even smaller with each passing day.

Canada's Multi-Million-Dollar Pay-Out to a 'Foreign Terrorist Fighter'

The government of Canada recently issued an official apology -- and acknowledged awarding an "undisclosed" sum of money -- to Toronto-born Islamist terrorist Omar Khadr for his "ordeal" at the U.S. military base in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and "any resulting harm" he was caused by the "torture" (specifically, sleep deprivation, solitary confinement and threats) that led to his confession.
On July 7, Canadian Foreign Minister Chrystia Freeland and Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Ralph Goodale released a statement announcing the "hope that this expression, and the negotiated settlement reached with the Government, will assist him in his efforts to begin a new and hopeful chapter in his life with his fellow Canadians."
The civil settlement was reached with Khadr, 30, who was 10 when his family returned to the Middle East, and 15 when he was arrested fighting in Afghanistan with al Qaeda and the Taliban, the terrorist organizations to which his father was affiliated -- on the basis of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
In 2003, Khadr confessed to throwing the grenade that killed U.S. Special Forces Sgt. 1st Class Christopher Speer and caused Sgt. 1st Class Layne Morris to lose an eye. Years later, he retracted his confession, claiming it had been extracted under duress. In fact, it was part of a plea deal that enabled him to be extradited to Canada to serve the rest of his sentence there.
With news of the large settlement he received -- 10,500,000 Canadian dollars (approximately USD $8,000,000) -- he gave an extensive interview to CBC's Power & Politics host Rosemary Barton, in which he said he thinks that the apology from the Canadian government "restores a little bit my reputation here in Canada,

Peace Is Light-Years Away

If the leaders of the Palestinian Authority (PA) had invested as much time, energy and other people's money in building a flourishing society as they do in the pursuit of death and destruction, there would be no need for outside efforts to broker peace between them and their Israeli counterparts. 
It takes only about 30 minutes to drive from the Muqataa compound in Ramallah to the Prime Minister's Office in Jerusalem. 
Yet it is still easier for dignitaries from the United States and Europe to spend hours on flights to Tel Aviv for the purpose of talking about a two-state solution than it is for PA President Mahmoud Abbas to budge in any direction other than backwards. 
Take this week, for instance, which began with the Palestinians' refusal to host US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman -- whom US President Donald Trump has included in his Mideast peacemaking team, along with advisers Jason Greenblatt and Jared Kushner -- in Ramallah. 
Friedman is too pro-Israel, as far as Abbas is concerned. As a result, the meeting between American and Palestinian officials on Tuesday took place at the King David Hotel in west Jerusalem. 
On Thursday, Greenblatt joined fellow envoys of the Middle East Quartet -- the US (which he represents), the European Union, the United Nations and Russia -- in Jerusalem "to discuss current efforts to advance Middle East peace, as well as the deteriorating situation in Gaza."
Also on Thursday, Greenblatt announced that Israel had agreed to sell the PA 1.2 billion cubic feet of water. This, he said, in addition to an electricity deal reached between Israel and the PA on Monday, will improve the Palestinians' standard of living.

August 21st is the date of "the Great American Eclipse", and the hype around it is already starting to reach a fever pitch. 
It is being called "the Great American Eclipse" because this will be the first total solar eclipse ever that is only visible in the United States. 
In other words, since the United States became a nation there has never been a total eclipse that was only visible here and nowhere else. 
And this will be the first total solar eclipse to cross from the west coast to the east coast in 99 years. So for those that love astronomy, this is bigger than the Super Bowl.
Close to 200 million people live within a day's drive of "the totality zone", and many are projecting that this will be the most-viewed eclipse ever. 
In fact, many hotels and campsites along the path of the eclipse are already completely booked. So if you want to see it live, you better make your arrangements quickly.
Of course the "main event" will not last for very long. Depending on the location, the total eclipse will only last for about two or three minutes.
But if you count from the time that the moon will begin to cover the sun until the time when the sun is completely uncovered again, it will take approximately two and a half hours for the entire process to unfold. The following comes from Newsweek...
If you are in the band of totality, you will see (if you look through special 'solar filters' that darken the Sun by a factor of about 100,000) the Moon gradually covering the sun for about 75 min, then the beautiful totality, and then the uncovering for another 75 min.
Of course in the heavens things will be taking place at very high speed. For example, the moon's shadow will actually be crossing the U.S. at a speed of close to 1,700 miles per hour.
And even if you are not in the "totality zone", you will still notice what is happening on August 21st. That is because this eclipse will actually cast a "shadow" over the entire nation.
Could it be possible that has some sort of significance?
I don't know, but without a doubt there will be a whole lot of speculation going on as we get closer to the date.

Do you think that men should be having babies? Years ago I remember being told that someday we would see these sorts of headlines, but such a thing seemed so impossible to me at the time. 
Well, now it is actually happening. 
Over in the UK, a 21-year-old British man named Hayden Cross has just given birth to a baby girl. But of course Hayden was not actually born a man. 
Hayden used to be known as "Paige Cross", but eventually a decision was made to embrace a transgender lifestyle. However, Hayden put his transition on hold in order to become pregnant and give birth.
Now that the birthing experience is over, Hayden plans to "complete his gender realignment as soon as possible". The following comes from a major British news source...
Hayden, born Paige, gave birth by caesarean.
He put his transition on hold to fall pregnant by a sperm donor.
Cradling his daughter the beaming parent said: "She's perfect in every way."
And he told The Sun: "She is so good. I'm so lucky."
Following the birth Hayden now plans to return to complete his gender realignment as soon as possible.
The proud father was born a girl, Paige, 21 years ago.
The reason why this story is getting so much attention is because this is something entirely new, but if doctors have their way men all over the world may soon be getting pregnant.

The government has always had its eyes on the people. For many reasons, the collective ruling class wants to have a very detailed picture of its population. 
Whereas this interest is sometimes purely financial (particularly those in the hands of lobbyists), the ultimate goal is control.
For this very reason, we've seen a major growth in cashless forms of payment, particularly in Europe. 
What seems to be a convenience to newer generations is anything but for the ruling elite. 
They are the first steps leading to a new world of control and oppression.
There's a war for your mind, and it's becoming gradually more technological.
Learning Your Habits and Beliefs
As governments become virtual arms of corporate interest, their desire to monitor all your financial activities increases. 
Doing so allows them to understand what you value and how to manipulate your behaviors.
Whether we realize it or not, how we spend our money says a lot about what's important to us. 
For instance, someone that spends thousands of dollars collecting would be more likely to respond to ads tailored to their hobby.
They would also be more interested in politicians that speak to their interests, even if those politicians don't actually represent their best interests. 
We see this routinely every election, with talking points directed at garnering votes based on empty promises or illusions of a given party being "relatable."
The government also wants to stamp out 'thought crimes' before they become action. 
Following the financial trail of an individual that is anti-government allows them to keep a closer eye on that person's activities.
For these reasons and more, the government absolutely hates cash. Cash is harder to track, more difficult to tax (due to underreporting) and can be stored outside of banks.

A Genderless Child?: When Ideology Becomes Abuse

There are many stories these days of government trampling parental rights, but what happens when parents are the ones doing the trampling?
Recently on BreakPoint we talked about the tough case of Charlie Gard--the terminally ill baby whom British courts decided should die in the hospital rather than travel to America with his parents to seek experimental treatment for his rare condition. 
In that commentary, I said that the government had overstepped its authority, taking away the right of Charlie's parents to make decisions for their son.
But another story shows that there's another side to this coin. The parent of a Canadian newborn not only wants to make a crucial life decision for him or her, but also force the government to recognize that decision. 
Now I say "him or her" because it has been hidden whether little Searyl Doty of British Columbia is a boy or a girl. Only the child's mother, who identifies as a "non-binary trans person" and is taking male hormones, knows the truth.
Searyl made international news when this baby received what his or her mother is calling the first ever "genderless" document issued by any government. 
The Gender Free I.D. Coalition, an activist group Searyl's mother participates in, seeks to "remove all gender/sex designations from identity documents," and in this case, they appear to have gotten their wish. 
The card issued by British Columbia lists Searyl's sex as "U," presumably for "unknown" or "unclassified."
Searyl's mother (who, again, would prefer I call her a "parent,") said in a statement that "It is up to Searyl to decide how they identify, when they are old enough to develop their own gender identity."
Doty believes so deeply in liberating children from biological sex that she's a complainant in a case currently before the province's Human Rights Tribunal, arguing for genderless government I.D.

Belief matters because it drives action, both in the voting booth and out. We read and hear every day about a society embracing LGBT rights or turning away from the Church, and it may be cause for concern. 
Although these trends are not to be ignored, it is important to keep in mind the fact that no society possesses a single group identity. 
Instead, a closer look at the true divisions within society offers considerable insight into how the five major "faith tribes" behave based on their beliefs as well as how each is able to influence American culture as a whole. 
Through examination of how these faith groups move a society, changes can be tracked, understood and predicted.
The breakdown of these cultural tendencies comes from research conducted by Barna and is particularly relevant following the unusual election cycle of 2016 and the major cultural forces that many believe are pulling the country in opposite directions. 
Whereas it is true that there are a great many faith practices in the United States, three of the five faith tribes used in Barna's research are Christian simply because of the fact that each is greater in size than any minority religion and that their influence on both culture and politics is also substantial.

20 years ago that would have been absolutely unthinkable, but if one American designer has his way that may soon become the norm. 
When I saw photos on Facebook of Thom Browne's latest line for men, I have to admit that I was floored.  
Personally, I believe that men should dress like men and women should dress like women, but much of society is moving in the exact opposite direction.
In recent years we have been hearing a lot about "gender fluidity", and this is yet another example of that phenomenon. The distinctions between men and women are being blurred, and there are many that would like to eliminate them altogether.
Given enough time, could we eventually get to the point where it is just as acceptable for men to wear skirts and heels as it is for women? Apparently Thom Browne wants us to have these kinds of conversations...

Israel Enraged By 'Delusional' UNESCO Declaring Tomb of Patriarchs Palestinian

Israeli officials and Jewish leaders in the Diaspora reacted with fury following Friday's vote at UNESCO -- the UN's global cultural agency -- to declare the Tomb of the Patriarchs, a key Jewish holy site in the West Bank city of Hebron, an "endangered Palestinian world heritage site."
The resolution -- which claimed the tomb was "faced with serious threats which could have deleterious effects on its inherent characteristics" while under Israeli control -- passed UNESCO's World Heritage Committee by 12 votes to 3 during a session of the committee's annual meeting in the Polish city of Krakow. Six countries abstained.
The nations voting in favor included "the Arab bloc, Cuba, Zimbabwe and other dictatorships," a report from Geneva-based monitoring organization UN Watch said.
The storm of condemnation in the wake of the vote was led by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who denounced it as "another delusional UNESCO decision," and reaffirmed that Israel would "continue to guard the Cave of the Patriarchs, to ensure religious freedom for everybody and guard the truth." 
The first Biblical patriarch, Abraham, and several male and female members of his immediate family are buried at the site.

Christian Slapped With $12,000 'Shariah Fine' For Not Removing Shoes In Canada

Canada is now fining its citizens for offending people of the Islamic faith.
John Alabi, 53, is a Christian and a landlord who lives in the Toronto area and is being ordered to pay a fine of $12,000 by the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal because he failed to remove his shoes when he entered the apartment he was renting to a Muslim couple.
His crime? Religious discrimination, according to the tribunal.
The tenants were planning to move out of his rental home, and he says he gave the couple the required 24-hours notice that he would be showing the apartment to another tenant.
They told him not to come while they were praying, and to text first. He agreed. But when they stopped answering his text messages, he showed the apartment.
The Muslim tenants waited eight months before filing their grievance with the human rights tribunal, where they receive free representation, the Toronto Sun reported. The couple even searched his Facebook page and found a joke they considered offensive and used to bolster their case. The tribunal agreed he harassed them and failed in his duty to accommodate their religious needs – and awarded them $6,000 each – plus interest.

Israel Grapples With Iran's Growing Military Presence In Syria
With the help of its powerful allies, President Bashar al-Assad's regime is gradually consolidating its grip over parts of Syria.

Biased Textbooks Turning Young Americans Against Israel

Anti-Israel bias in the textbooks used by many American high schools may be to blame for the decrease in sympathy for Israel among young adults.
According to the Brand Israel Group, only 54 percent of U.S. college students lean more toward Israel than the Palestinians, down from 73 percent in 2010. The decrease was even sharper among Jewish college students, dropping from 84 percent to 57 percent.
"The problem starts in high school," Dr. Sandra Alfonsi, founder of Hadassah's "Curriculum Watch" division, told JNS.org. "There's no doubt the lack of sympathy for Israel on college campuses today is at least partly the result of several generations of teenagers being educated with textbooks that are slanted against Israel."
'Unabashed propagandizing'
One of the most controversial texts used in high schools around the country is the "Arab World Studies Notebook," a 540-page volume authored by Audrey Parks Shabbas. She heads Arab World and Islamic Resources and School Services, a curriculum publisher that seeks to promote a positive image of Arabs and Muslims in U.S. schools. 
After parents in Anchorage, Alaska, complained to their local board of education in 2004 about the book's slant against Israel, the American Jewish Committee (AJC) prepared a 30-page analysis of the Notebook. 
The AJC found it to be riddled with "overt bias and unabashed propagandizing," such as depicting Israel as the aggressor in every Arab-Israeli war and praising Muslim conquerors throughout the ages for their "gentle treatment of civilian populations."
As a result, the Anchorage Board of Education removed the Notebook from the local high school curriculum. School authorities in Tulsa, Okla., have also withdrawn the text.

A Christian school in Alberta, Canada, is learning the perils of depending on public funding for its operation.

Cornerstone Christian Academy and Battle River School Division have enjoyed a nine-year cooperative arrangement where the Christian school is operated as an alternative public school, providing nondenominational Christian instruction. BRSD leased facilities to the school and provided instructional resources available to other public schools. Thanks to the partnership, student tuition was lower than private Christian schooling, with fees going primarily to cover facility costs and bus transportation.

But that has come to an end in a dispute over the school's use of two biblical passages that BRSD board members contend "denigrate" and "vilify" LGBT individuals.

Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? The homosexual movement seeks to grow by the indoctrination of our children, from toddlers to pre-schoolers, and from elementary school to college. LGBT activism thrives on indoctrination.
It is planned, it is systematic, and it is effective.
At a 2015 teacher's conference in Canada, lesbian kindergarten teacher Pam Strong explained, "how she uses her classroom to convince children as young as four to accept homosexual relationships."
She said, "With [the principal's] encouragement, we decided that I would go from class to class and talk about what 'gay' means, what does 'LGBTQ' mean, what do 'I' mean."
She also read the gay book King and King to these little ones, and when she got to the part about the two princes being "married," one of the little boys suddenly shouted out: "They can't do that! They can't get married. They're two boys."
She explained to him that, yes, they did do it, right there on p. 12, to which the boy protested that it was just a story, not real life.
Strong replied, "It happens in real life too. I am married to a woman. I am gay. And I am in love with my wife."
And with hat, the kids were silenced. I guess being gay is OK after all!
What's striking, though, is that this is not some isolated incident that took place in Canada. It's happening all over America (and other nations) in hundreds (or thousands) of classrooms, and it's been happening for many years.
For example, in England, as far back as 2006, the National Union of Teachers (NUT) stated that, "It is particularly important to begin to make three to five-year-olds aware of the range of families that exist in the UK today; families with one mum, one mum and dad, two mums, two dads, grandparents, adoptive parents, guardians etc."
And already in 2005, Kevin Jennings, then the Executive Director of GLSEN (the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Educational Network), noted that, in 1995, "Fewer than a hundred gay-straight alliances existed," whereas in 2005, "Nearly 3,000 schools have GSA's or other student clubs that deal with LGBT issues."

Now an American pastor is adding his voice to the condemnation, claiming medical science is coming close to replicating the first deception of Satan in the Garden of Eden.
He cites Genesis 3:4, "And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die."
Pastor Carl Gallups, author of "When the Lion Roars: Understanding the Implications of Ancient Prophecies for Our Time," said there is a clear pattern by modern scientists and entrepreneurs of pursuing what is essentially godhood.
"Here is the dirty little secret that few are discussing – all of this goes directly to the deception first implanted in the Garden of Eden – by Satan himself," warned the pastor.
"Think of the elements of that anthropic disaster. Adam and Eve were promised, ‘You surely shall not die.' They were told that if they would just follow the ‘promise' that Satan offered that they could be ‘like gods.' They were told that death would not be a hindrance and that the knowledge they would gain would give them everything their hearts desired. Of course, every bit of Satan's salesmanship was a lie.
"But do an Internet search on these topics today. Observe how many of today's godless, arrogant elite are talking about ‘becoming gods,' or ‘we're on the verge of eternal life technologies,' or our ‘knowledge growth rate is becoming almost supernatural.' Those who do not have a biblical worldview are missing what is actually happening right before our eyes. We are actually on the cusp of being in the ‘days of Noah,' and the ‘days of Lot' that Jesus warned would mark the days just before His return in Luke 17."
Scientists have received permission from ethical watchdogs to attempt to stimulate the regrowth of neurons in clinically dead patients. Trials are expected to begin this year.
However, as Gallups notes, there is a difference between using medical technology to help someone who has just died and sensational claims that companies will soon be "raising the dead." As the pastor observes, there is not even true agreement on when a person is completely "dead."

The newly released details about a recent terrorist attack in Jerusalem show how easily Palestinian terrorists can enter Israel--thus contradicting the phony claims that Palestinians' movements are severely restricted by Israel.
The attack in question took place June 16. Three Palestinian terrorists killed a teenage Israeli policewoman named Hadas Malka, in Jerusalem. They also stabbed and shot several other Israelis, before they were killed.
The BBC rubbed salt in the victims' wounds by headlining its reports of the attack: "Three Palestinians Killed After Deadly Stabbing in Jerusalem." 
After being deluged with complaints, the BBC changed it to "Israeli Policewoman Stabbed to Death in Jerusalem." 
Notice how, even in the corrected version, the Palestinians were still not identified as the aggressors. 
Many journalists seem to be incapable of writing a simple factual headline such as "Palestinian Murders Israeli." It's just not in their vocabulary.
This week, the Israeli authorities released some important new details about the attack. It turns out that an Arab resident of Jerusalem served as an accomplice. 
The terrorists were residents of Ramallah and did not have the necessary permits to enter Israel. So, the accomplice, who did have permission to enter because he lives in Jerusalem, drove to Ramallah to pick up the killers.
Let me pause in the story to point something out. The reason the terrorists had to go all the way to Jerusalem to kill Israelis is because there are no Israelis in Ramallah.
How can that be? Isn't Ramallah in the "West Bank?" And isn't the "West Bank" still "occupied territory," as J Street and the BBC and the United Nations keep telling us?

Is it too late for America? Are the nation's best days behind us? Can our sickly country be saved?
On July 1, 2016, conservative author and filmmaker Dinesh D'Souza sent out an email titled, "On The Brink Of Losing America Forever," and it certainly feels that we are that close. But have we passed the point of no return?
We could all point to a virtual mountain of sins and crimes that are rampant in our country, including the killing of more than 55 million babies in the womb. 
We could all indict America on many fronts. That is easy to do. But has Almighty God written us off forever?
As we celebrate the 241st anniversary of our nation this July 4th, this is the most important question we can ask. Everything is else is secondary. Can America be saved?
In my first book on revival, written in 1989, I asked, "Is God through with America? Is He ready to spew us out of His mouth? Is it too late for revival? Is our country ready to die?"
Now, almost 30 years later, these questions are much more urgent. Do we realize how much farther we have fallen?
I have asked these questions again in my newest book, Saving a Sick America: A Prescription for Moral and Cultural Reformation, due out in September. 
It is a book filled with great hope for our future. But it is a hope based in realism, since we will never get healthy unless we realize just how sick we are.
To use a physical analogy, America has cancer, and without radical treatment, that cancer will soon be terminal. But with major medical intervention and a total change of lifestyle, the prognosis is promising.

Baseball, the all-American family pastime famous for its ability to bring families and communities together, is now the ground on which LGBTQ activists are attacking Christians. 
The St. Louis Cardinals have followed their tradition of inviting a former player to speak to a specific audience following a game, but when it was announced that the player would be Lance Berkman who would address the audience with a Biblical message on how Christianity has affected his life, LGBTQ groups seized upon the opportunity to protest.
The address was planned to follow the game, allowing fans who are not interested to leave. So why the outrage? 
According to the LGBTQ groups voicing their protest, Barkman's opposition to a 2015 Houston ordinance allowing transgendered persons access to restrooms that don't match their biological gender marks him as a homophobe. 
Opposing transgender bathroom policies in 2015 has, in their view, given them the right to close Berkman off to public discourse as a hate-monger.
So, it may come as a surprise to those activists to learn that Lance Berkman's arguments are, far from being hate-filled rants, the same concerns that millions of Americans have, especially Christians. 
Neither discriminatory nor intolerant, Berkman explained in a public statement why girls and boys should use separate bathrooms, "The issue is, what to do about a 15 or 16-year-old boy who thinks he's a girl and wants to shower with the girls. Maybe he is [transgender], maybe he's confused. But I wouldn't want him in the shower with my daughters. We shouldn't have the rights of 2 percent of the population trump the rights of the other 98 percent."

During the month of Ramadan alone, the world witnessed 160 Islamic attacks in 29 countries, in which 1627 people were murdered and 1824 injured. 
Nevertheless, the dual efforts to deny any links between Islamic terrorism and Islam on the one hand, and the efforts to accommodate Islam to the greatest extent possible on the other, seem to continue unaffected by the realities of Islamic terrorism -- in Australia, as well, which is experiencing its own share of sharia and jihad.
At the end of May, the Public Health Association of Australia (PHAA) called on the Australian Parliament's Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade to:
"...include a recommendation in its report that disavows the notion that there is any inherent link between Islam and terrorism... The Committee should condemn any politician who refers divisively (expressly or implied) to any religious or ethnic group for the purpose of political gain."
PHAA Chief Executive Michael Moore said that there is no inherent link between any religion and acts of terror:
"When you look at terrorism and the IRA, I don't think many people blamed Christianity for terrorism when clearly there was an overlay. In fact there's nothing ­inherent in Christianity that links to terrorism".
Since when are public health officials qualified to make authoritative statements on the theology of Islam or its linkage to Islamic terrorism?
Muslim psychiatrist Tanveer Ahmed, would disagree. Speaking in June about the Australian media's disproportionate focus on "Islamophobia" he said:
"While terrorism's origins have many factors, Islamic terrorists, as heinous as their acts are, they are often merely doing what the scriptures are telling them."
While Australian officials rush to declare that Islamic terrorism has nothing to do with Islam, revealingly they have referred to Islam or Islamic culture to exonerate Muslims on several occasions. 
In April, despite pleading guilty to sexually assaulting eight women and girls on a beach in Queensland, a young Afghan man was acquitted. 
The reason for the acquittal: "Cultural differences". According to the judge, "seeing girls in bikinis is different to the environment in which he grew up". The teen received two years' probation without being convicted of anything.

When Mahmoud Abbas visited the White House in May, he assured Donald Trump that "we are raising our children, our grandchildren on a culture of peace."

Even dissident and Wikileaks head Julian Assange confidently predicted de facto immortality would soon exist because people would upload their consciousness to an artificial intelligence and "live forever" as part of a simulation.

At issue is the invitation, made by the Department of Education, for prominent Christians from the Family Research Council and Focus on the Family to speak at a conference on the active and engaged role of fathers in their children's lives.
The pro-LGBT groups Human Right's Campaign and GLAAD both assert that the inclusion of Christian voices, despite being well-respected and nationally renowned experts on family values, is an affront to their agenda for diverse families. 
Both FRC and Focus on the Family are Christian organizations that promote traditional Biblical teachings on marriage, fatherhood and families and that do not support the radical gender theories questioning the nuclear family. 
Not coincidentally, both organizations do firmly believe that not only should marriage be between a man and a woman but that a child should have an involved mother and father in his or her life.
It is the possession of these beliefs that, in the eyes of Human Rights Campaign and GLAAD, make Christian organizations unfit to express their beliefs, despite decades of experience and the fact that they still represent the majority of US families' views on the value of fatherhood. 
A spokesperson from Human Rights Campaign said in a statement, "To provide a taxpayer-funded platform for these organizations is outrageous. Families in this country are increasingly diverse, and include those with same-sex parents, and those led by single parents."
Diversity and tolerance, ironically from two advocacy groups whose stated goal is inclusiveness, are the reasons used to justify silencing Christian voices. 
Most incredible of all, HRC and GLADD are attacking the speakers at a conference meant to focus on fatherhood and promote an actively engaged father figure, an extremely vital element in the development of a child. 
They criticize Christians who lecture on the importance of the father on the grounds that not every family has a father figure.

Opposition to the event soon devolved into personal attacks on Education Secretary Betsy DeVos when GLAAD issued a press release that referred to FRC and Focus on the Family as "anti-LGBTQ hate groups" and called DeVos an "anti-LGBTQ activist" and "unqualified to run the Department of Education". 
They extended their criticism to DeVos' decision to rescind an Obama administration order to permit students to use the restrooms of their choice.
The National Parent Teacher Association was also on the agenda with speakers ready to present on the Fathers' Day panel but they are reported to have pulled out due to the presence of the FRC and Focus on the Family, likely due to the controversy caused by HRC and GLAAD.

So What Was Iran's Missile Strike In Syria Really About?
Until this month, Iran had not launched a missile strike on another nation since the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980's.
While Iran routinely threatens Israel (such as the recent revelation by satellite photos that Iran targeted a Star of David in a ballistic missile test) and its Lebanese terror proxy, Hezbollah, has a vast arsenal of rockets pointed at the Jewish state, experts say the Islamic Republic was sending messages elsewhere through its first missile strike on another country in three decades.
Iran struck Islamic State targets in Syria on June 18, in retaliation for Islamic State's twin terror attacks against prominent Iranian institutions June 7. Iran had not launched a missile strike on another nation since the Iran-Iraq War in the 1980s.
Situated nearly 1,800 kilometers (1,118 miles) away from Israel, Iran reportedly has missiles capable of reaching the Jewish state. 
The precision-guided Zolfaghar missiles Iran fired Sunday into the Syrian city of Deir ez-Zor have a range of about 750 kilometers (466 miles). Iran proceeded to showcase Zolfaghar missiles Friday during anti-Israel "Al-Quds Day" rallies.
The Israeli government has ongoing concerns about Iran's nuclear program, ballistic missile program and state sponsorship of terrorism, but the Iranian missile strike in Syria seemingly had little to do with the Jewish state.
Dr. Raz Zimmt, an Iran expert at two Israeli think tanks, the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) and the Forum for Regional Thinking, told JNS.org Iran's missile attack was "a direct response to the [June 7] terror attack in Tehran and a message both for domestic, regional and international use."

Even if you've never heard of Guidestar, trust me, philanthropists are very familiar with the organization. 
Guidestar's stated mission is "To revolutionize philanthropy by providing information that advances transparency, enables users to make better decisions, and encourages charitable giving."
To that end, Guidestar gathers and provides information "about each nonprofit's mission, legitimacy, impact, reputation, finances, programs, transparency, governance, and so much more."
For two decades, Guidestar has provided a very valuable service to would-be donors. Recently, however that "so much more" part of their mission statement, temporarily turned the organization into a combatant in the culture wars.
Earlier this year, in addition to their usual financial information, Guidestar also included a banner at the top of the webpage telling potential donors that certain groups had been designated as "hate groups" by the Southern Poverty Law Center, or the SPLC.
Back in 1981 the SPLC started publishing a quarterly report listing groups that, in its words, "have beliefs or practices that attack or malign an entire class of people, typically for their immutable characteristics."
For most of the next 36 years, the groups singled out were obvious racists ones, like the KKK or Nazis, or more subtle ones that the SPLC believed promoted white supremacy.

In 2016, same-sex "marriage" was legalized in Colombia. One year later, the courts have now recognized a polyamorous "family" of three men. And there is no slippery slope.
As reported by the Daily Mail, "Actor Victor Hugo Prada and his two partners, sports instructor John Alejandro Rodriguez and journalist Manuel Jose Bermudez, have signed legal papers with a solicitor in the city of Medellin, establishing them as a family unit with inheritance rights.
"'We wanted to validate our household... and our rights, because we had no solid legal basis establishing us as a family,' said one of the men, Prada, in a video published by Colombian media on Monday."
Here in the States, the Associated Press notes that, "More courts [are] allowing 3 parents of 1 child." An example would be when a lesbian couple has a child with the help of another man, all three of whom become parents.
And there is no slippery slope.
When candidate Barack Obama ran for president in 2008, he knew that he could not reveal his true sentiments about gay "marriage" - this according to David Axelrod - because it would hurt his election chances. 
And so, he clearly and decisively declared that marriage was the union of a man and a woman. And he said this was his Christian conviction.
Today, a Republican congressman is shot in cold blood and liberal news commentators suggest that we can't forget his record at a time like this. After all, he wanted to pass a Constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman.
And there is no slippery slope.

"If the bill becomes law, Americans would be subject to a whole host of government intrusions. One little slip-up would open a Pandora's box of governmental inquiry into your financial life," says Peter Reagan, a financial-market strategist at Birch Gold Group. "For example, failing to complete a single reporting form would result in the government being granted abilities to freeze and seize not just a portion, but the entirety, of your assets. The bill even goes so far as to include the contents of safety-deposit boxes."

ISIS Losing the Battle But Winning The War?
Never before in history have terrorists had such easy access to the minds and eyeballs of millions.
The Islamic State is crumbling -- if too slowly. More than two years have passed since French President François Hollande promised, "We will bomb Raqqa". Sooner or later, ISIS will probably be reduced to a small enclave with no territorial continuity, and its chief, Abu Bakr al Baghdadi, will be eliminated. 
It would, nevertheless, be most dangerous to dismiss these three years as a short parenthesis: Nazism did not last as long: "just" 12 years in power and five at war with the rest of Europe. The physical and cultural consequences of the Nazi tyranny are, unfortunately, still visible in Europe. 
The same will be said of the Islamic State. Three years of terror and conquests are not bad in for a war between the Caliphate vs. everyone else.

Palestinians: Why Abbas Cannot Stop Funding Terrorists
The practice of paying salaries to terrorists and the families of "martyrs" is as old as the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO), which was founded in 1964.
For the record, this is not a defense of Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas or of funding terrorists. It is simply an explanation of what is taking place. 
Nonetheless, it is worth noting that the idea of ending payments to Palestinian terrorists and their families is a challenging one, to say the least. Old habits, especially of hate, are hard to break.

But after most of the Arab countries turned their backs on the PLO, following its support for Saddam Hussein's invasion of Kuwait and the subsequent establishment of the PA, the Europeans and Americans became the major donors to the Palestinians -- including payments to the terrorists and their families.
The PLO is not the only organization that rewards terrorists and their families. Hamas, Islamic Jihad and other Palestinian groups have also been paying monthly stipends to terrorists and their kin.

If Gov. Bruce Rauner and his legislature in Springfield do not put a budget together by Friday, the Land of Lincoln will be the first state in the Union to see its debt plunge into junk-bond status.
Illinois has $14.5 billion in overdue bills, $130 billion in unfunded pension obligations and no budget. "We can't manage our money," says Rauner. "We're like a banana republic."
Speaking of banana republics, Puerto Rico, which owes $74 billion to creditors who hold its tax-exempt bonds, and $40 billion in unfunded pension liabilities, has already entered bankruptcy proceedings.
The island's imaginative 38-year-old governor, Ricardo Rossello, however, has a solution. Call Uncle Sam. On June 11, Rossello held a plebiscite, with a 23 percent turnout, that voted 97 percent to make Puerto Rico our 51st state.
"(T)he federal government will no longer be able to ignore the voice of the majority of the American citizens in Puerto Rico," said Rossello. Washington cannot "demand democracy in other parts of the world, and not respond to the legitimate right to self-determination that was exercised today in the American territory of Puerto Rico."

Hamas recently accused US President Donald Trump of encouraging apartheid during his speech last month at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem. 
"The speech was racist," the terror group claimed, "and establishes a new Israeli apartheid regime and encourages hatred towards the Palestinian people."
To brand Israel as an apartheid state, is -- as South Africans other than Desmond Tutu testify -- a corruption of the word apartheid, and a distortion of Israeli society and minority rights. 
The word apartheid was first used in 1947 in South Africa to legislate segregation of whites and blacks. And today, it is not unusual to hear the claim that Jews -- in their ancient homeland -- are like South African Boer colonialists.
Yet unlike in South Africa, Israel's Declaration of Independence assured non-Jewish residents of Israel (20% of the population) equal civil and religious rights. 
The anti-humanitarian crime of apartheid is foreign to the ethos of the racially diverse Jewish nation. In fact, Israel's diverse population includes more than 100,000 Ethiopian Jews -- and more than 1.5 million Arab citizens.

Conservatives Accused Of "Silly Fear Of Sharia". Oh, Really?
Sharia is not only incompatible with Western legal system but is the direct opposite of Western values..
Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, of the "Ground Zero mosque", once again wrote a deeply inaccurate article reprimanding Americans for their supposedly "right-wing caricature" of Islamic law, sharia, which he insists is not a threat to American law. 
In his recent article "The silly American fear of sharia law", he denied that sharia is incompatible with US laws and the constitution. Oh, really?
Imam Rauf tries to blame sharia's amputation and stoning on Biblical Law:
"Sharia is not about amputations and stoning. These extreme punishments carry over from earlier, biblical law" and "Within the history of Islam, they have rarely occurred. 
What Islamic law does prescribe are the same do's [sic] and don'ts of the Ten Commandments."
Imam Rauf's article is, to say the least, misleading -- especially regarding the Ten Commandments. Sharia is not only incompatible with Western legal system but is the direct opposite of Western values; it has violated all ten of the Ten Commandments.
Islam was created 600 years after Christianity not to affirm the Bible, but to discredit it; not to co-exist with "the people of the book" -- Jews and Christians -- but to replace them. It is hard to read Islamic law books without concluding that Islamic values are essentially "a rebellion against the Ten Commandments."
Islam has little respect for human life -- of either Muslims or non-Muslims. To begin with, Islam violates the commandment "Thou shalt not murder." Sharia punishes sins against Allah, such as blasphemy and apostasy, with execution. 
This is while it prohibits prosecuting Muslims who kill apostates, and also parents and grandparents who kill their offspring. Allah commands Muslims to kill Allah's enemies, and in the process, kill and be killed in jihad if they are to be guaranteed heaven.

Yesterday the Supreme Court gave religious freedom advocates a major victory. By a 7-2 vote, SCOTUS ruled that denying a church "an otherwise available public benefit on account of its religious status," violates the Free Exercise Clause of the Constitution.
The decision in Trinity Lutheran Church of Columbia v. Comer is great news--and it may be only the beginning.
Here are the basic facts of the case: Trinity Lutheran Church of Columbia, Missouri, operates a licensed pre-school and day-care facility. Its facilities include the type of playground that you and I played on as kids--in other words, scrapes, bruises, broken bones, perhaps a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Fortunately for Trinity Lutheran, the state of Missouri has a program, "Playground Scrap Tire Surface Material Grants," which provides "funds for qualifying organizations to purchase recycled tires to resurface playgrounds."
Trinity Lutheran applied for the grant, seemingly meeting the qualifications. But the state of Missouri informed them that such a grant would, in Trinity's case, violate a provision in the state constitution that "no money shall ever be taken from the public treasury, directly or indirectly, in aid of any church, section or denomination of religion."
That provision is one of 36 so-called "Blaine Amendments" in state constitutions. These amendments were originally aimed at Catholic schools and born of the now-incredible belief that public schools were a principal instrument in safeguarding America's Protestant Christian character.

The essential difference between Christianity and Islam is the difference between Jesus and Muhammad. Jesus was a spiritual leader who laid down His life to save the world. 
Muhammad was a spiritual leader, who became a political leader, then a violent military leader. Jesus accomplished His mission by dying on the cross. 
Muhammad accomplished his mission (at least in large part) by ruling by the sword.
There are, of course, great similarities between the world's two largest religions. Both point to a holy book, allegedly inspired by God, for faith and practice. 
Both call for high moral standards and serious personal commitment. 
Both share common traditions, since Muhammad learned from Jews as well as Christians. And both have a vision to spread their faith around the world.
But this is where the two faiths diverge. One follows the example of a crucified and risen Savior. The other follows the example of a prophet and military leader.
And so, the biblical verses of violence (as in, "Kill the Canaanites") were limited to a specific place and time, and no such commands are found on Jesus' lips. 
The Quranic verses of violence (as in, "Kill the unbelievers wherever you find them") do not have such obvious limitations. 
And so, while many Quranic interpreters and Islamic jurists claim that those verses cannot be applied indiscriminately today, others differ, proudly citing them in their jihadi manuals.
Again, the difference is that of the cross vs. the sword. That's why Jesus and His followers never established the death penalty for leaving the faith.

The "supervolcano" at Yellowstone National Park is being hit by a swarm of hundreds of earthquakes, according to researchers who have been tracking seismic activity this week.
More than 400 have been detected in the area since June 12, including a 4.5 magnitude quake within the park on June 15.
Researchers say the risk of activating the supervolcano is low and the quakes are nothing to be concerned about, as they are common in the region. However, others believe it is inevitable and only a matter of time before such a disaster takes place.
Scientist Michio Kaku recently warned on Fox News the supervolcano is overdue for an eruption and such an event would "rip the guts out of the USA."
Researchers from the University of Utah, in contrast, have warned the risk is low, with the odds of an eruption each year being one in 700,000. However, if and when it erupts, the disaster would radically transform the entire global climate and devastate much of the Western United States.  
Pastor Carl Gallups, a former law enforcement officer and the author of "Be Thou Prepared," said in a fallen world, disaster is inevitable. And Christians should always be ready to meet catastrophe.

I write about this stuff all the time, but it always astounds me how many Americans are literally living on the edge financially.  
Back in 2008 when the economy tanked and millions of people lost their jobs, large numbers of Americans suddenly couldn't pay their bills because they were living paycheck to paycheck.  
Now the stage is set for it to happen again.  Another major recession is going to happen at some point, and when it does millions of people are going to get blindsided by it.
Despite all of our emphasis on education, we never seem to teach our young people how to handle money.  But this is one of the most basic skills that everyone needs.  
Personally, I went through high school, college and law school without ever being taught about the dangers of going into debt or the importance of saving money.
If you are ever going to build any wealth, you have got to spend less than you earn.  That is just basic common sense.  
Unfortunately, nearly one out of every four Americans does not have even a single penny in emergency savings...

When questioned by reporters, the boy told them, "If you want to be a drag queen and your parents don't let you, you need new parents. If you want to be a drag queen and your friends don't let you, you need new friends." 
What is more, with the new child abuse law passed in Canada just this year, Lactatia's parents could lose custody for questioning his decision, let alone preventing him from becoming a drag queen. 
With terrible irony, questioning the transgender movement can now be considered a forum of child abuse in Canada. In this case, he started performing when he was only seven, with the active encouragement of his mother who does his makeup for every show.

If you haven't encountered the term "Shi'a corridor" yet, chances are that you will in the coming weeks, particularly if the ongoing confrontation between the U.S. and Iran in Syria intensifies.
What was initially a sideshow to the main battle against Islamic State in Syria is fast becoming the main focus of attention. In recent weeks, the U.S. has shot down at least two Iranian armed drones over Syria. 
A Syrian regime bomber jet supposedly attacking Islamic State positions near Raqqa was also downed, after it ventured too close to positions held by U.S.-allied forces. 
Armed skirmishes have been reported between U.S.-allied forces and Iranian-backed Shi'a Islamist militias. 
The Russians--allied with Iran in supporting the tyrant Bashar al-Assad in Damascus--are also part of this dangerous equation, going so far as to declare that Moscow's generals will treat U.S.-led coalition aircraft flying west of the Euphrates River in Syria as "potential targets."
What does Iran hope to achieve here? To start with, it's important to note that the international legitimacy the mullahs have enjoyed since the Iran nuclear deal of 2015 is starting to fragment. 
The U.S. Senate this month voted to slap new sanctions on Iran for its violations outside the terms of the nuclear deal, such as its use of ballistic missiles and its support for terrorist groups like Hezbollah in Lebanon.

GuideStar, which calls itself a "neutral" aggregator of tax data on charities, recently incorporated "hate group" labels produced by the left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center.
The decision by the tracker of nonprofits prompted 41 conservative leaders to protest the move in a letter provided exclusively to The Daily Signal. The letter, dated June 21, asks the website to drop the "hate group" labels put on 46 organizations.
GuideStar's use of the "hate group" designation for certain organizations, many of them Christian, unfairly and inaccurately adopts the "aggressive political agenda" of Southern Poverty Law Center, the leaders write.

Ever hear the old saw that religious people are on the wrong side of history? It isn't true. Turns out, we're on the right side of the future as well. 
A year ago, National Geographic told readers that "religion is rapidly becoming less important than it's ever been, even to people who live in countries where faith has affected everything from rulers to borders to architecture."
But as Rodney Stark documented in his recent book, "The Triumph of Faith," that statement is wrong. 
In fact, it's the opposite of the truth. According to Stark, "The world is not merely as religious as it used to be. In important ways, it is much more intensely religious than ever before . . ."
This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. For years, Chuck Colson, John Stonestreet, and I have been telling you about the explosive growth of Christianity around the world, especially in what is called the "global south."
We've told you about what's happening in places like sub-Saharan Africa, and even China, which, by some estimates may have more Christians than any other country by the middle of this century.
But the story that Stark tells goes beyond these two examples. The growth of Christianity in Latin America is, in many respects, just as amazing as its growth in Africa.
That might sound strange, since Latin America has been ostensibly Christian since the sixteenth century. But until the mid-20th century, it was largely a nominal kind of Christianity.

Only A Matter Of Time Before US/Russian Conflict In Syria?
Is the escalating conflict in Syria setting the stage for World War III with Russia?
On Sunday, a U.S. Navy F-18 shot down a Syrian Army SU-22 near Raqqa. This represents a major escalation by U.S. forces, because this is the very first time that the U.S. military has shot down a Syrian warplane since the civil war began back in 2011. 
Needless to say, the Russians were not pleased by this at all. In fact, according to the Independent the Russians have just announced that all U.S. warplanes flying over Syria will now be treated as "targets" by the Russian military...
Russia has said it will treat US warplanes operating in parts of Syria where its air forces are also present as "targets" amid a diplomatic row caused by the downing of a Syrian jet.
The country's defence ministry said it would track US-led coalition aircraft with missile systems and military aircraft, but stopped short of saying it would shoot them down.
A hotline set up between Russia and the US to prevent mid-air collisions will also be suspended.
The Russians have some of the very best anti-aircraft systems on the entire planet, and they would be more than capable of shooting down our jets.
So let us hope that the Russians don't cross that line, because the anti-Russian hysteria in Washington would go to an entirely new level if footage of U.S. jets being blown out of the sky started running 24 hours a day on CNN, MSNBC and Fox News.

No Good Guys In Syrian Civil War - London Terrorist Fought For US Backed Rebels

WASHINGTON – One of the Muslim terrorists who perpetrated the London Bridge attack previously fought in a militia associated with the Free Syrian Army, a group that Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., has worked tirelessly to arm and support.
According to the London Telegraph, terror suspect Rachid Redouane fought first in the Libyan revolution under a group known as Liwa al Ummah. He later joined a militia that deployed fighters to Syria and worked alongside al-Qaida jihadists.
Liwa al Ummah was formed by an underling of Abdul Hakim Belhaj, the former emir of the al-Qaida-linked Libyan Islamic Fighting Group. The Liwa al Ummah in Syria merged with the FSA in 2012 and collaborated with al-Qaida's Syrian branch, Al-Nusra.
McCain constantly trumpets the FSA as a moderate opposition force to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's regime. The senator has parroted Elizabeth O'Bagy, a former director of a Syrian Islamic organization that helped define the Obama-era policy toward Syria.

The New York Times ran a piece in 2013 outlining the dominance of jihadist groups in the fight against Assad's regime.
"In Syria's largest city, Aleppo, rebels aligned with al-Qaida control the power plant, run the bakeries and head a court that applies Islamic law," the Times begins. "Nowhere in rebel-controlled Syria is there a secular fighting force to speak of."

A report from the Telegraph echoes the claims, noting that the Syrian jihadists are "now the largest and best armed faction in the opposition." Consequently, the London paper says, the "more moderate elements have become progressively weaker through a lack of supplies and defection of members."
The Washington watchdog Judicial Watch, which documented the terrorist's connections to the group McCain supports, said McCain "was so smitten by O'Bagy that he read a chunk of her Wall Street Journal opinion piece – touting the FSA as a moderate opposition force – during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing."
"In it, O'Bagy makes a case for U.S. military intervention in Syria by asserting that concerns about al-Qaida terrorists running the rebel operations are unfounded. After all, the United States doesn't want to support the very jihadists that want to murder its citizens."

How To Raise A Pagan Kid In A Christian Home
Are Christian parents just raising moral pagans?
Every imperfect and normal family wants their kids to turn out right. So, we establish goals for character development and try to create an environment where our kids can mature. 
Church, school, sports teams, family relationships ... each of these provides a context where our kids can learn to "love your neighbor as yourself." 
Unfortunately, our "good" objectives might have absolutely nothing to do with the gospel of Jesus Christ. And we inadvertently end up raising pagans instead of Christians.
Too many times, (Christian) parents have it as their goal to make their kids good and moral. 
It is as if the entire purpose of their family's spiritual life is to shape their children into law-abiding citizens who stay out of trouble. 
The only problem with this goal is that it runs in stark contrast to what the Bible teaches. The gospel is not about making bad people moral, but about making dead people alive. 
If we teach morality without the transforming power of the gospel and the necessity of a life fully surrendered to God's will, we are raising moral pagans.

Christian/Jewish Alliance Featured At Israel Policy Conference
The strategic importance of Christian Zionism was featured this week at the 2017 Herzliya Conference, one of Israel's most prominent annual policy summits.
Organizers describe the conference, which is hosted by the Institute for Policy and Strategy at the IDC Herzliya research college, as a platform that "facilitates and encourages an informed debate on the most pressing issues on the national and international agendas." 
Leading Israeli officials routinely address the Herzliya gathering, but one session stood out from the rest due to how it opened: with prayer.
"Heavenly Father, we thank you for this time of engagement together between Israel and the Jewish people and Christian friends...we just ask that this be productive and effective," said David Parsons, vice president and senior spokesman for the International Christian Embassy Jerusalem (ICEJ), an organization that states it "represents millions of Christians, churches, and denominations to the nation and people of Israel." 
Parsons told JNS.org, "We're excited to be here for the second year in a row, taking part in the Herzliya Conference, and being able to communicate the love of Christians to Israeli decision makers, policy makers, academics and all. It's a great privilege for us and we hope it has real practical impact for the state of Israel."
Evangelical Christianity is "the fastest-growing faith movement in the world," boasting as many as "700 million believers" and adding 50,000 new adherents daily, with each new "believer" representing another potential advocate for Israel, Parsons said.

Does God Observe Jubilees?
Christians know that the Bible is more than a collection of stories, allegories and illustrations. We know and truly believe that "all Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and it is profitable for doctrine" (I Tim. 3:16), etc.
Christians know that the things that happened to the Jews (blessings, curses, etc.) are examples or lessons for us. Paul said, "they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world (end of the ages) are come (I Cor. 10:11).
Christians know that "whatsoever things were written aforetime (in the Old Testament) were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope" (Rom. 15:4).
"Whatsoever things were written" includes the stories, the history, the poetry, the Feasts of the Lord, the Jubilees, all of it. The whole Bible was written to give God's people hope.
Christians know that the things that Moses made in the wilderness (tabernacle, Ark of the Covenant, Table of Showbread, Golden Lampstand, etc.) were made "according to the pattern" that God showed him at Mt. Sinai (Heb. 8:5; Ex. 25:40).
The service of the priests and the things that were made were a copy or a shadow of what is in heaven (Heb. 8:5). That is why God warned Moses to follow the pattern carefully.

As tensions between the US and Iran escalate in Syria, concern is growing in Israel that the Tehran regime is pressing ahead with its goal of carving out a land corridor stretching through Iraq and Syria to the border with the Jewish state, a leading expert on the region said on Tuesday.
Jonathan Spyer -- a senior research fellow at the Global Research in International Affairs Center (GLORIA) in Israel who has reported extensively from Syria -- told The Algemeiner that Iran's ultimate goal was to "complete a contiguous corridor from Iran itself via Iraq and Syria to Lebanon and the border with Israel."
The latest flashpoint for US forces in the region came on Tuesday. A US F-15E fighter downed an armed Iranian drone near Al-Tanf in Syria, where the US is training Syrian rebels fighting against ISIS. 
The area is perilously close to territory controlled by Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his Iranian and Russian allies, and has been the site of armed skirmishes over the last month between Assad's troops and US-allied forces.
Another Iranian drone was brought down in southern Syria on June 9, while two days ago the US military shot down a Syrian jet conducting a bombing raid close to positions held by US-allied forces around Raqqa, the capital of Islamic State's so-called "caliphate."
"The demonstrated hostile intent and actions of pro-regime forces toward coalition and partner forces in Syria conducting legitimate counter-ISIS operations will not be tolerated," a statement from the Pentagon said, following today's drone incident.

For many Palestinians, the stabbing murder of a 23-year-old Israeli Border Police officer in Jerusalem on June 16 is an act of "heroism" that proves that the "revolution against the Zionist entity will continue until the liberation of Palestine, from the (Mediterranean) sea to the (Jordan) river."

For many Palestinians, the three terrorists who murdered the young woman, Hadas Malka, are "heroes" and "martyrs" who will be rewarded by Allah in Paradise.

President Mahmoud Abbas's Palestinian Authority (PA), which is funded by Americans and Europeans, has once again chosen to maintain silence following a terror attack perpetrated by Palestinians. 

This silence of Abbas and his PA leadership, specifically their refusal to condemn the terror attack, can only be interpreted as an endorsement of the killing of Jews.

Moreover, in a move reminiscent of a demented Alice in Wonderland, Abbas's ruling Fatah faction, which is often described by Westerners as "moderate" and "pragmatic," publicly blasted Israel for killing the three terrorists who murdered the policewoman and wounded several others.

In a statement published in Ramallah shortly after the terror attack, Fatah "condemned the Israeli occupation forces for killing three young Palestinian men in East Jerusalem." 

It said that the killing of the three terrorists "proves that the Israeli government is pursuing its policy of escalation." Fatah called on the international community to "seriously look into providing protection for the defenseless Palestinian people."

The Fatah statement failed to mention that the three Palestinian "young men" were armed with knives and a homemade submachine gun. Nor did Fatah mention a word about the Border Police officer who was stabbed to death in the terror attack.
Such a statement could never have been published without the approval of Abbas and his top cronies in Ramallah. They even seem to have endorsed the Fatah communiqué by publishing it on the website of the PA's official news agency, Wafa. 
This agency is managed and funded by the PA, which also appoints the editors and journalists working there.
This is the twisted logic of Abbas and his people: How dare Israeli police officers shoot terrorists armed with knives and a machinegun and prevent them from killing more Jews?
Fatah spokesperson Osama Qawassmeh went as far as accusing Israel of committing a "war crime" by killing the terrorists and thwarting a bigger attack. 
He called on the international community to condemn Israel for the "cold-blooded" killing of the three terrorists in Jerusalem, dubbing it a "cruel crime."

Can We Know When Jesus Will Return?

Can we know when Jesus will return? No. When it comes to the exact timing of His return, we can't know. Jesus Himself said "no man knows the day or the hour of my return, not even myself. Only my Father in heaven knows" (Mark 13:32). 
Jesus reiterated this concept when He said He would come like a thief in the night "when least expected" (Matthew 24:43-44). This idea, coupled with the statement "no one can know the day or the hour" of His return, has led many Christians to believe they can't know anything about the timing of His return. 

After all, if Jesus comes like a thief in the night when least expected, how could you know when He's coming?  
That's a good question. And while it's true we can't know the day or the hour, the idea no one has a clue as to whether it's tomorrow or a 1,000 years from now is just plain wrong. 
The Bible is clear we can know the general "season" of His return.
Like a Thief in the Night
Many people who believe we can't know anything about the timing of Christ's return base their belief on the idea Jesus "will come like a thief in the night." Jesus did say He would come unexpectedly, like a thief in the night (Matthew 24:43-44). And Paul said the same thing (1 Thessalonians 5:2).

Hundreds of anti-Israel protesters marched through the streets of central London on Sunday on the annual "Al Quds (Jerusalem) Day" demonstration convened by the Islamic Human Rights Commission (IHRC), a British Muslim organization with close ties to the Iranian regime.
At a rally outside the US Embassy following the march, one speaker blamed this week's tragic fire at west London's Grenfell Tower public housing project on  "Zionists."
"Some of the biggest supporters of the Conservative Party are Zionists," the speaker ranted. "They are responsible for the murder of the people in Grenfell. The Zionist supporters of the Tory Party."
Many of the marchers brandished signs calling for a boycott of the State of Israel. A number of flags of the Lebanese Islamist terror organization Hezbollah were also in evidence, including one at the front of the protest that was tied atop a Palestinian flag.
An energetic counter-rally organized by British Jewish organizations under the banner "Stand Against Hate" was staged close to the route of the march. Protesters waved Israeli flags and chanted "terrorists, off our streets."
The counter-rally was addressed by Kay Wilson, who survived a terrorist attack in Israel in 2010.
"It is a racist slur to say that all Muslims are terrorists," Wilson said. "However, it is deluded, dangerous and disingenuous to claim that terrorism has absolutely nothing to do with Islam."

BBC Supporting Incitement? Israeli Prime Minister Blasts For Misleading Headline

Following complaints by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over a BBC headline on the recent Palestinian terror attacks in Jerusalem, the British news organization recanted and apologized.

The Islamic State and Hamas terror groups both claimed responsibility for Friday's deadly attack in Jerusalem's Old City, carried out by three Palestinian terrorists, which killed Israeli Border Police Staff Sgt. Major Hadas Malka, 23, at Damascus Gate, and left two others injured. 
The terrorists were killed by security services. Malka was stabbed to death.
The BBC's original headline and tweet read, "Three Palestinians killed after deadly stabbing in Jerusalem," which omitted the fact that it occurred in response to the fatal stabbing of an Israeli police officer.
Netanyahu called on Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs to censure the BBC for the misleading headline. The Israeli embassy in London filed a complaint, citing the network's "false reports" and "refusal to use the word terror when it comes to attacks on Israeli citizens." 
Following the complaint, the BBC removed the offending tweet and changed the article headline to, "Israeli policewoman stabbed to death in Jerusalem." 
"We accept that our original headline did not appropriately reflect the nature of the events and subsequently changed it. Whilst there was no intention to mislead our audiences, we regret any offense caused," the BBC said in a statement. 
Also expressing outrage over the BBC headline choice was President Donald Trump's eldest son, Donald Trump Jr., who tweeted, "You mean after they stabbed a female Israeli police officer to death... right? This is as close to being misleading as possible," Trump Jr. replied.

Do Hollywood people know what marriage is all about?
Let's count up the splits just in 2017. Scarlett Johansson and her husband Romain Dauriac broke up after just two years of marriage. Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck held it together for ten years and three kids before deciding to untie the knot. David Schwimmer and Zoe Buckman hung on for seven years.
And while we're at it, who can forget the ten-million-dollar wedding between Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, whose marriage lasted just 72 days? Not kidding.
So what do Hollywood marriages teach us? The answer, according to NewsMax writer Juliette Fairley, is to get a good prenup.
I hope we can do better than that.  And in fact, I know someone who DOES provide much better advice for protecting marriages: Mike McManus, founder of Marriage Savers.
Mike and his wife, Harriet, spend much of their time traveling the country teaching churches what they can do to protect marriages--even before couples exchange vows.
The first thing an engaged couple ought to do, they say, is take part in a premarital diagnostic program called PREPARE.  The couple separately answers a lengthy questionnaire, and then meets six times with a mentor couple--one that's been married for decades. 
The goal is to help the couple identify the strengths and weaknesses of their relationship and learn how to better communicate and resolve their differences.
Of those who complete PREPARE, some 20 percent abandon their wedding plans--which is actually good: better a broken engagement than a broken marriage. But an amazing 90-plus percent of those who do marry are still together twenty years later, says McManus.
Marriage Savers offers other programs, as well: RESTORE helps pull couples back from the brink of divorce. It's taught by those whose own marriages nearly crashed and burned. For instance, as Mike notes, "A couple who recovered from adultery can tell a couple in crisis, 'This is what we did to restore trust.'" Four out of five couples who took part in RESTORE were able to mend their marriages.

From violent campus protests to the shooting of a congressman, the violent, radical left is rising. But this should not surprise us at all. The handwriting has been on the wall for years.
What else do you expect when those who believe a child should have a mother and a father are likened to the KKK, Nazis, the Taliban, and ISIS? What else do you expect when Christian conservatives have been branded dangerous enemies?
To repeat what I've shared before,
Already in May, 2005, John McCandlish Phillips, formerly a Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter, pointed out how newspapers like the Washington Post and the Times told their readers that evangelicals and traditional Catholics were engaging in a "jihad" against America.

Markos Moulitsas, founder of the radically left-leaning Dailykos.com, wrote a whole book in 2010 in which he accused conservative Christians of being the "American Taliban," which in turn reflected the sentiments of some Californians who opposed the Proposition 8, pro-marriage bill in 2008 and who carried signs reading: Prop 8 = American Taliban; and, 52 percent = Nazi (this referred to the 52-48 percent vote in favor of Prop 8); and, Don't Silence the Christians, Feed Them 2 the Lions.
My fellow believers, don't stick your heads in the sand and ignore this.
People don't just hate you. They see you as downright dangerous, and that in itself is dangerous.
Really now, do you think people who compare you to ISIS and the Nazis do not look at you as a real threat? Do you think they can hold up signs calling for you to be thrown to the lions without holding some genuine animosity towards you? And do you think that people who express themselves in such sick and ugly terms would be upset if someone actually did you harm?

We have not been crying wolf. We have not been exaggerating the danger. The unthinkable is now reality in Canada. And it could be coming to America next.
In 2012, headlines announced, "Homeschooling families can't teach homosexual acts sinful in class says Alberta government."
As the article explained, "Under Alberta's new Education Act, homeschoolers and faith-based schools will not be permitted to teach that homosexual acts are sinful as part of their academic program, says the spokesperson for Education Minister Thomas Lukaszuk."
So, in the privacy of your own home, as you teach and instruct your own children, you would be forbidden by law to teach them what the Bible said about homosexual practice. And how, pray tell, was the government planning to monitor this?
In 2015, Dawn Stefanowicz, herself the child of a gay father who died of AIDS, raised her voice as well. The headline to her article read, "A Warning from Canada: Same-Sex Marriage Erodes Fundamental Rights."
She wrote, "I want to warn America to expect severe erosion of First Amendment freedoms if the US Supreme Court mandates same-sex marriage. The consequences have played out in Canada for ten years now, and they are truly Orwellian in nature and scope.
"In Canada, freedoms of speech, press, religion, and association have suffered greatly due to government pressure. The debate over same-sex marriage that is taking place in the United States could not legally exist in Canada today. Because of legal restrictions on speech, if you say or write anything considered 'homophobic' (including, by definition, anything questioning same-sex marriage), you could face discipline, termination of employment, or prosecution by the government."
She was not exaggerating. In fact, she may have understated her case. The latest headlines from Canada announce something even more Orwellian: "Canada's New Law Lets Government Take Children Away If Parents Don't Accept Their Gender Identity."

With the latest spate of terror attacks we are beginning to witness supposedly democratic countries take increasingly tyrannical positions in the name of security.
Yesterday, Germany made it clear that they were willing to eradicate basic civil liberties by forcing the surveillance of smartphone apps and communications as well as absurdly permitting children as young as 6-years-old to be fingerprinted.
England, of course having been the direct target of terrorism over the course of weeks, has taken so far the most draconian position of moving to completely curtail Internet freedom, despite legal experts voicing their concerns about eradicating free speech as well as the limited effectiveness of such measures.
Japan is the latest to join the move toward a new level of government control over every aspect of their citizens' lives in the Orwellian vision to protect freedom by removing it.
Bloomberg reports that,
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's government passed controversial legislation that gives prosecutors the power to monitor and arrest people in the planning stages of crimes. (emphasis added)
On the surface, when applied to the planning of bona fide terrorist activities, it appears reasonable. 
However, the new measures will apply to 277 types of crimes which include some very pedestrian offenses hardly seeming worthy of pervasive government surveillance and new powers -- like copyright violations (???).
Opponents to the new legislation say it is the latest round of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's desire to overhaul Japan's constitution, a charge that stems back to at least 2013 when he granted a very American provision to the government to hide information under the label of "state secrets."
In 2015 Abe passed the so-called "defense and security" bills which removed previous restrictions that were imposed on the role of the Japanese military; it sparked massive protests across the country as citizens feared a return to Japan's imperial past.

I love Dr. Seuss, but in the real world, joining hands and singing a musical number is not an effective strategy against evil.
Just over a year ago, Omar Mateen, claiming allegiance to the Islamic State, gunned down 49 people at an Orlando night club. It was the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil since 9/11. And in Europe, there have been terror attacks in Paris, Brussels, Nice, Berlin, and London.
Only one word describes the sort of carnage being perpetrated by radical Islamists: "Evil."  These attacks, which deliberately targeted innocents, all in the name of God, are among the vilest crimes imaginable.

U.S. Sending Christians Back To Iraq To Face 'Slaughter'
Chaldean Christians in Sterling Heights have been fighting a mega-mosque proposed for a residential area where they live for more than a year. Now, up to 200 of their family members are set to be deported by the Trump administration.
More than 100 Iraqi Christians were rounded up Sunday evening in federal raids in Michigan and will soon be deported back to their native land, where they face an uncertain fate in a country where Christians are marked for death in a genocide carried out by ISIS and other Islamic groups.
The raids were conducted by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE. The ICE agents showed up without warning at the homes of Chaldean Christians and at a popular restaurant called Ishtar's in Sterling Heights, Michigan.
Those detained were mostly legal residents of the U.S., some having spent the majority of their lives here, but have had felonies on their records.
Hundreds of Chaldeans were out protesting Monday evening at 15 Mile and Ryan in Sterling Heights.
Nahren Anweya, who emigrated to the U.S. with her family as a young girl and is now in her early 30s, said up to 200 were rounded up Sunday, most of them Chaldean or Assyrian Christians.
Video taken of the raids showed distraught families screaming and weeping.
"So, as you can see from video the family members were very confused. They didn't know what is going on, and their families were beside themselves," she told WND.

Now a recent job listing seeking a senior real estate manager has raised speculation that not only will the first store be opening this year but the online giant plans to roll out its checkout-free convenience store concept on a larger scale.

For those who havent heard, the next iteration of the cashless society has crested the horizon. Amazon has come up with a new idea that just might change the way retail businesses operate. 

Amazon Go is set to be a retail experience for customers with no checkout lines. You read that right. Using a complex combination of lasers, sensors, cameras, scanners, apps, and tags to ensure that the right person is charged for the items purchased, but there will be no checkout lines or cash registers.
Shoppers click on the new Amazon Go app as they enter the store, and hold their smartphone to a scanner similar to an airport security line.  
Every time the customer picks up an item, it is automatically added to their virtual cart. (If the shopper puts the item back on the shelf, the item is automatically removed from the cart.) Once the customer leaves the store, their purchase is billed to their Amazon.com account.
Amazon claims their shopping experience employs the same types of technologies that enable driverless cars, such as sensor fusion, deep learning, and computer vision. 
For some, the idea of shopping without lines to checkout is a golden one, but others are sounding the alarm with concerns over privacy and rightfully so. 
One of the key elements of their security, CCTV cameras equipped with facial recognition software, may even be illegal - at least in the UK. At the very least, it is a stark breach of privacy.

Pakistan has handed down the stiffest penalty imaginable for a post to social media -- the death penalty -- for blasphemy, after a 30-year-old man argued with someone online who turned out to be a counterterrorism agent.
Taimoor Raza allegedly denigrated the Prophet Muhammad, his wives, and companions, in a debate about Islam, according to Bahawalpur public prosecutor Shafiq Qureshi and the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan, and was arrested and charged for the crime as part of an oppressive crackdown on dissent by the administration of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
"An anti terrorism court of Bahawalpur has awarded him the death sentence," Qureshi told Reuters. "It is the first ever death sentence in a case that involves social media."
Reuters notes, "Qureshi added that Raza belongs to the minority Shia community and in court he accused of spreading 'hate speech' against the Deobandi sect, which adheres to a strict school of Sunni Islam."
Dozens of others currently languish on Pakistan's death row for insulting the Prophet -- but Raza's death sentence is unique for the putative crime having occurred on Facebook and for involvement by the Pakistani counterterrorism department.
"My brother indulged in a sectarian debate on Facebook with a person, who we later come to know, was a [counter-terrorism department] official with the name of Muhammad Usman," asserted Raza's brother, Waseem Abbas, describing his family as "poor but literate."
Reports indicate the country's counterterrorism department maximized possible punishment for Raza by charging him under two separate sections of the law.

Same-sex marriage activists have no shortage of facilities willing to bake cakes or host ceremonies, but targeting Christians and labeling them as bigots has been a tactic too effective for them to abandon.
The Tennes family's 120-acre farm is open to the public and they welcome people of all sexual orientations to pick produce, pet farm animals, go on hay rides, buy fresh baked goods and fruits. 
 
Now publicly shamed as a bigot for his Christian beliefs, Steve Tennes pointed out in an interview that he has employed both straight and gay farm workers in his business. He had no quarrel with any gay or lesbian customers, until he was contacted in 2014 by two lesbians who wanted to have their marriage ceremony on his property.

North Carolina County Approves Resolution Recognizing ‘Month of Ramadan’

Commissioners over one county in North Carolina have approved a resolution recognizing June as the “Month of Ramadan.” The Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners adopted the resolution on Tuesday, with six in favor and three against.  “Ramadan is a sacred time that commemorates the revelation of the Quran to the prophet Mohammad, and encourages fasting, prayer, reflection, God consciousness and gratitude,” the resolution reads. “[E]ach day of fasting

Now, removal of children from the home is considered to be in the best interests of gender radicals who are pushing for the power to force transgenderism on families who want no part in it. 
The Ontario bill that just passed (63 to 23), and which repeals the aforementioned law, is officially designated Bill 89 and is labeled the Supporting Children, Youth and Families Act, 2017.
With the addition of "gender identity" and "gender expression" to the law, it also removes the religion of the family as a factor that the government will weigh when deciding whether to remove a child from the home.
Instead, the government will now legally consider only the "creed" of the child when assessing a case for a removal decision. 
The result is to grant an already liberal and intrusive government more control over its citizenry and tighter control of the family unit. Jack Fonseca, senior political strategist for Campaign Life Coalition commented that "With the passage of Bill 89, we've entered an era of totalitarian power by the state, such as never witnessed before in Canada's history."
He went on to say, "Make no mistake, Bill 89 is a grave threat to Christians and all people of faith who have children, or who hope to grow their family through adoption."

At present, however, there is just one real army in Europe -- the Jihadist Army, as in the terrorists who struck London on June 3 and murdered seven people, just two weeks after carnage in Manchester.
In the four European countries most targeted by terror attacks -- Britain, France, Belgium and Germany -- the number of official extremists has reached 66,000. That sounds like a real army, on active duty.
Intelligence officers have identified 23,000 Islamic extremists living in Britain as potential terrorists. The number reveals the real extent of the jihadist threat in the UK.
The scale of the Islamist challenge facing the security services was disclosed after intense criticism that many opportunities to stop the Manchester suicide bomber had been overlooked.
French authorities are monitoring 15,000 Islamists, according a database created in March 2015 and managed by France's Counter-Terrorism Coordination Unit. Different surveys estimate up to 20,000 French radical Islamists.

As the latest stunt in this ongoing campaign, they've partnered with "Avengers" director Joss Whedon to produce a high-budget ad titled "Unlocked."
In this three-minute propaganda piece, Whedon depicts a world without Planned Parenthood. It's a dark and scary place where a mother dies of cancer because she can't get screenings, where a couple breaks up because of a sexually transmitted disease, and where a young woman's dreams of college are crushed by a positive pregnancy test.

When you mention history, it can trigger a roll of the eyes. Add the Middle East to the equation, and folks might start running for the hills, unwilling to get caught up in the seemingly bottomless pit of details and disputes.
But without an understanding of what happened in the past, it's impossible to grasp where we are today; and where we are has profound relevance for the region and the world.
Fifty years ago this month, the Six-Day War broke out.
While some wars fade into obscurity, this one remains as relevant today as it was in 1967. Many of its core issues remain unresolved.
Politicians, diplomats and journalists continue to grapple with the consequences of that war, but rarely consider, or perhaps are even unaware of, the context. Yet without context, some critically important things may not make sense.
First, in June 1967, there was no state of Palestine. It didn't exist and never had. Its creation, proposed by the UN in 1947, was rejected by the Arab world because it also meant the establishment of a Jewish state next to it.
Second, the West Bank and eastern Jerusalem were in Jordanian hands. Violating solemn agreements, Jordan denied Jews access to their holiest places in eastern Jerusalem. To make matters still worse, they desecrated and destroyed many of those sites.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Strip was under Egyptian control, with harsh military rule imposed on local residents. And the Golan Heights, which were regularly used to shell Israeli communities far below, belonged to Syria.

Grooming Jihadists: The Ladder Of Radicalization And Its Antidote
If you spend hours listening to speeches and sermons by "respectable" local imams and Islamic scholars -- you can see a pattern emerge.
On March 22, when Khalid Masood rammed his vehicle into pedestrians on Westminster Bridge in London before attempting to stab his way to the Parliament building, it was as if the heart and soul of British democracy were under assault.
As horrifying as the terrorist attack was, however -- murdering four innocent people and wounding scores of others -- it belied the magnitude of a much larger problem that has been plaguing Europe and creeping up on the rest of the West. Jihadists committing murder in the name of Islam have left a trail of blood across North America, the Middle East, Australia, the Indian Subcontinent, Southeast Asia, Africa and Europe.
In November 2015, a suicide-bombing and shooting spree in Paris left 130 people dead and hundreds wounded; in March 2016, three coordinated suicide bombings targeting travelers in Brussels killed 32 and wounded hundreds; and last December, a truck-ramming at the Christmas market in Berlin left 12 people dead and another 56 injured.
These were just a few of the successful attacks; those thwarted were more numerous.
France's prime minister said last September that authorities were foiling plots "daily," while some 15,000 people "in the process of radicalization" were being monitored. Last year, British security services prevented no fewer than 12 other assaults.

On June 8, British voters will head to the polls. Recent numbers show the gap closing between British Prime Minister Theresa May and Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn. When Prime Minister May called for a snap election last month - three years early - most assumed she would win easily and increase her parliamentary majority. But Corbyn - who was given odds of 200-1 when he ran for his party's leadership in 2015 - is doing surprisingly well again.

He also happens to lead a party that has been soft on antisemitism, and Corbyn himself has been accused of anti-Jewish bigotry. When facing such criticism, the Labour leader has offered the defense that he is anti-Israel, not anti-Jewish. But Corbyn's words and deeds demonstrate that he often uses his virulent anti-Zionism as a cover for his soft antisemitism.

Consider a speech Corbyn gave last year where he said that Jews are "no more responsible" for the actions of Israel than Muslims are for the actions of the Islamic State terrorist group. Moreover, Corbyn's "affinity" for terrorist groups (avowed to the destruction of the nation state of the Jewish people) is also well documented.

In 2009 Corbyn said: "it will be my pleasure and my honor to host an event in Parliament where our friends from Hezbollah will be speaking. I also invited friends from Hamas to come and speak as well." In light of these events, a key former adviser to Corbyn, Harry Fletcher, wrote: "I'd suggest to him [Jeremy] about how he might build bridges with the Jewish community and none of it ever happened."

Corbyn himself has said that he is not an antisemite but rather opposed to Zionism. Generally speaking, it is easy to say you hate Israel but you don't hate Jews. Even if this were true - and I am not sure that it is - the company that Corbyn keeps suggests that at best he gives a free pass to bigotry, racism and antisemitism within the ranks of his own party, and at worst, he espouses those same views.

Indeed, Corbyn has been known to share speaking platforms and lead rallies with some of the most infamous Jew-haters. He has attended meetings hosted by Paul Eisen -a 9/11 conspiracy theorist and Holocaust denier who wrote a blog titled "My Life as a Holocaust Denier."

Corbyn has also been associated with Sheikh Raed Salah - who was convicted for incitement to violence and racism and has been known to perpetuate traditional blood libels about Jews and said that Jews were warned not to go to the Twin Towers on 9/11 - calling him a "very honored citizen" whose "voice must be heard." Corbyn was also a paid contributor for Press TV, which is part of Iran's tightly controlled media apparatus whose production is directly overseen by Iran's antisemitic Supreme Leader.

One of the biggest criticisms of what has been referred to as the "Corbynization" of British politics has been the mainstreaming of traditional antisemitism. The country's Chief Rabbi, Ephraim Mirvis, has also chimed into the conversation, calling the Labour party's antisemitic problem "severe."

Consider, the bigotry of Gerald Kaufman (now deceased), for example - a Labour veteran and close political associate of Corbyn - who touted conspiracies about Jews and Jewish money throughout his political career. When speaking at a pro-Palestinian event Kaufman said: "Jewish money, Jewish donations to the Conservative Party - as in the general election in May - support from the Jewish Chronicle, all of those things, bias the Conservatives." While Corbyn condemned these remarks, he refused to yield to widespread demands for disciplinary action against Kaufman.

Let's be clear: I do not believe that Corbyn's rise in the polls is because he hates Jews and their nation state, but rather despite his bigotry. His opponent, Theresa May, called for elections and then refused to debate her opponents. She is running a lackluster campaign somewhat reminiscent of Hillary Clinton's last year.

Corbyn for his part, like President Trump, is a populist. Though they represent polar opposites on the political spectrum, they have much in common including their penchant to shoot from the hip, and their unpredictability. Many British voters are unaware of his antisemitic associations.

Others know but don't care. The hard left in Britain, especially among union activists and academics, include many knee jerk opponents of the nation state of the Jewish people and many supporters of academic and cultural boycotts of Israel. Many such supporters favor trade and engagement with such massive human rights offenders as Iran, Cuba, China, Russia, Belarus and Venezuela.

Indeed, it is antisemitic to single out only the nation state of the Jewish people - the Middle East's only democracy and a nation with one of the world's best records of human rights, the rule of law and concern for enemy civilians -- for boycotts.

Corbyn himself has called for boycotts of Israel. He has advocated for an arms embargo citing Israel's supposed "breach" of the human rights clause of the EU-Israel trade agreement. Corbyn also supports academic boycotts in some instances, and when Israel's national soccer team was travelling to Cardiff, Wales, for a qualifying game for the European Championship, Corbyn led calls for a boycott only of the soccer team representing the nation state of the Jewish people. (Ironically, Israel only plays in this league as it was expelled from the Asian Football Confederation due to the Arab League's boycott.)

Moreover, Corbyn has been a vocal supporter of the so-called Palestinian right of return stating that the Palestinians' "right to return home" is "the key" to the solution. This would soon make Arabs the majority within Israel and Jews the ethnic minority, rendering the two-state solution completely obsolete.

Whether antisemitism is the root of the Labour party's problem or the consequence is not important. Likewise, the distinct role Jeremy Corbyn has played in getting the Labour party to this point is not particularly relevant.

The fact is that he has not stemmed the tide of bigotry and anti-Jewish hate within the ranks of his party, but has played a big part in perpetuating it. British voters now have the opportunity to choose where they will go as a nation. Will they opt to move away from stability, rationality and tolerance-- and toward simple mindedness, xenophobia and intolerance? I don't know, but I hope they choose wisely.
Bernie Sanders has already made his choice. He is campaigning for Corbin despite his record on antisemitism. Sanders will have to explain why a Jew is helping to elect a bigot with the views Corbin holds about the Jewish people and their nation state.

I have never had a desire to study the significance of Bible numbers, but I have long believed that everything in the Bible is significant.
I have always been leery of going too far in the study of numbers, but I have recently seen some amazing things that other prophecy teachers (Bob Mitchell, Dan Goodwin, etc.) have pointed out.
I don't agree with everything they say, but I will try to take some of the amazing things these prophecy teachers say that seems right to me and pass it on in my own words.

1897--A Zionist conference was held to find a homeland for the Jews.
1917--War: England capture Palestine (Israel, Jerusalem and more).
1947--A UN conference was held to find a homeland for the Jews.

"This is an amazing testament to God's covenant and the Jewish people. Despite more than 2,000 years of exile we have maintained our religion, our customs, our Torah, and our genetic identity."
Kleiman opened the Center for Kohanim in Jerusalem nine years ago as a practical endeavor, and has authored a book on DNA evidence of the priesthood. Kohanim, or priests, are Jewish men believed to be descendants of Aaron, the first high priest of Israel. Only kohanim are permitted to conduct Temple services, according to the Bible.

Can Our Universities Be Saved From Radical-Left Ideologies?
If we ignore the crisis, things will only get worse and we effectively surrender the souls of the next generation.
Where is the one place in America where free speech is commonly suppressed, where there is often as much indoctrination as education, and where radical-left ideologies reign almost unchallenged?
It is our college and university campuses. Many of them have become so biased and extreme that even CNN's Fareed Zakaria, hardly a conservative, excoriated their intolerance. Can our universities be saved?
We're not just talking about the occasional educational faux pas, such as the embarrassing incident that occurred in 1989 when heavyweight boxer Mike Tyson received an honorary doctorate from Central State University in Ohio.
Speaking at the graduation ceremony in cap and gown, Tyson remarked, "I wasn't sure what kind of doctor I was, but looking at all the lovely sisters here, I think I'll be a doctor of gynecology."
No, we're talking about a systematic dumbing down and radicalizing of our campuses.
Typical of the dumbing down of our schools was this comment from comedian Kumail Nanjiani, delivering the commencement speech at his alma mater, Grinnell College in Iowa.
He said, "So here's another concrete piece of advice I can give you - have sex with an immigrant. We're going through a tough time right now and it would just be really great for morale."
What great advice from a commencement speaker.
Typical of the radicalizing of our schools were these comments from Keeanga-Yamahtta Taylor, an assistant professor in African American studies at Princeton. Speaking at the graduation service for Hamilton College in Massachusetts, she referred to President Trump as "a racist, sexist megalomaniac."

Palestinian Authority Paid Terrorists More Than $1 Billion In 4 Years

The former director general of the Ministry of Strategic Affairs, Brig. Gen. (res.) Yossi Kuperwasser, told the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee Monday the Palestinian Authority (PA) has paid $1.12 billion to Palestinian terrorists and their families during the past four years.
Kuperwasser said the longer a Palestinian terrorist prisoner remains in an Israeli jail, "the higher the salary...Anyone who has sat in prison for more than 30 years gets NIS 12,000 ($3,378) per month."
He added, "When they're released, they get a grant and are promised a job at the Palestinian Authority.
They get a military rank that's determined according to the number of years they've served in jail."

Are Christians In Military Really A 'National Security Threat'?

On this Memorial Day, we honor those who have died serving our country. We thank God for their sacrifice. And we stand in solidarity with all those in the military. We're grateful for their service to our country.
Unfortunately, this is also a perfect time for the mainstream media to spew propaganda against Christian influence in the military. We've gotten used to this by now, because propaganda is vital to the health of today's radical, anti-God, secular revolution.
Hitler wrote in "Mein Kampf," "By clever and persevering use of propaganda even heaven can be presented as hell to the people, and conversely the most wretched life as paradise."
A few decades later, Saul Alinsky wrote in "Rules for Radicals," "If you push a negative hard enough it will eventually push through to become a positive."
This is the power of propaganda.
The problem is, when it's left unchecked, propaganda sets the stage for radicals to "create problems" that don't truly exist in order to target and vilify groups of people so they can advance an agenda.
It's a page right out of Alinsky's book. He wrote: "In the beginning, the organizers' first job is to create the issues or problems. Doing this allows the people to feel so frustrated, so defeated, so lost, so futureless in the prevailing system that they are willing to let go of the past and chance the future."
So last week, when Newsweek ran an article, titled, "Trump effect inspires radical Christians in military," it was as if the writer had just finished reading "Rules for Radicals" – because the entire article was nothing less than a targeted hit piece on Christianity. Check out the first sentence:
"Donald Trump's election has led to such a steep rise in fundamentalist Christian evangelizing and religious bigotry in the U.S. armed forces that the matter is reaching the level of a ‘national security threat,' according to complaints from the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF)."
Are you kidding? Faithful Christians in the military a "national security threat?" This should be laughable, except for the fact that "clever and persevering use of propaganda," as Hitler put it, will eventually flip things upside-down.

Mere weeks after the terrorist attacks in Britain -- on May 22 in Manchester and earlier in Westminster -- there is planned in London, on July 8-9, a major event which its organizers describe as:
Palestine Expo: the biggest social, cultural and entertainment event on Palestine to ever take place in Europe. In a year of immense significance for Palestine, we are pleased to announce, Palestine Expo 2017.
In a major coup, the exposition will take place, not in a scruffy hall on the outskirts of the city, but in the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in Westminster, near the Houses of Parliament, in the shadow of Big Ben and Westminster Abbey.

A closer examination, however, reveals something less pleasant. Underneath the surface, this exposition is dedicated to a presentation of Palestinian victimhood and "resistance" (read terrorism), the same "resistance" as in Israel, and on similar false pretexts.
In Israel, the false pretext is that Jews -- who have lived in Canaan and Judea for 3,000 years, as is substantiated by enough documentary and archaeological evidence to sink a supertanker -- are supposedly occupying "Palestinian land".

What parents teach their children, what society puts in their hands, says a remarkable amount about the values of our culture and deep-seated desires. Do we yearn for our children to live in a world of peace or do we strive to instill in them a violent nature?
Fidget spinners are the latest toy fad that is selling by the millions to children and teens across the country, but few know surprising origin of the tiny plastic toys, an origin rooted in the conflict between Israel and Palestine.
Far from the classroom annoyance that it has become today, the original fidget spinner was invented in the 1980s, during the First Intifada by Catherine Hettinger. Hettinger was visiting her sister in Israel when she witnessed Palestinian children throwing rocks at IDF soldiers and police officers.
Young boys, most not yet teenagers, put the lives of Israeli police and soldiers at risk, as well as their own, with a senseless act of restless violence that Hettinger sought to quell.

For instance the employment of violence, thuggery and intimidation against those who disagree are generally effective ways to prevent people hearing things you do not want them to hear.
As are the subtler but more regularly employed tactics for shutting people down, such a "no-platforming" people or getting them disinvited after they have been invited, should the speaker's views not accord 100% with those of their would-be censors.
As also noted in this space before, many of the people who campaign to limit what American students can learn also have the short-term advantage of being willing to lie without compunction and cover over facts whenever they emerge.
The important point here, however, is that word "short-term". In the long run, those who wish to cover over a contrary opinion, or even inconvenient facts, are unlikely to succeed.
Adults tend to be capable of more discernment and initiative than the aspirant-nannies believe them to be, and the effects will always tend to show. Take, for example, events in Portland, Oregon, last month.

This is Ben and Jerry's way of sending a message: "we believe love comes in all flavours."

Decline in church attendance has been the focus of dire predictions for decades now, often attributed to a rise in secularism in American culture that corresponds to a decay in the nation's moral fabric.
A new study by Barna raises another interesting possibility however: "Americans who love Jesus but not the Church." Foregoing church attendance for more personal and individual expressions of faith, this group poses several interesting questions to researchers.
Is this shift a long-term trend or simply a generational change likely to revert? Does lack of attendance correlate with a lack of knowledge of or belief in the Bible? Does this indicate a fundamental shift in Christianity and what could be the cause?
The drop in church attendance is not seen uniformly across all age groups nor in all parts of the country. Barna found that the group of Christians that has "de-churched", that is to say previously been regular church-goers who continue to profess Christian beliefs but who have not attended church in the last six months, is composed of 60% women, 80% of whom are between the ages of 33 and 70.
This argues against an indictment of youth culture moving away from the faith and instead points to different motivations. Only 14% of those who have moved away from church attendance are part of the millennial generation.

Why do so many liberals praise a religion that, at its root, is quite conservative, if not fundamentalist?
Why do they defend a faith that would not defend them? Worse still, why do they defend a faith that, in some cases, would do violence to them?
Last week, Robert Spencer, Director of Jihad Watch and a New York Times bestselling author on radical Islam, was invited to speak at the University of Buffalo.
But he was unable to say much because of the vocal opposition. He was shouted down and reviled, especially when attempting to read Islamic texts describing Islamic beliefs.
To paraphrase, "Not on our campus! We are progressive. We are liberal. We are enlightened. You will not bring your hate-filled bigotry here!"
In Spencer's own words, "I spoke a few sentences and made a couple of points in between being screamed at by Leftist and Islamic supremacist fascists who think they're opposing fascism."
Did you catch that? Spencer was opposed by staunch liberals and staunch Muslims. What an odd couple they make, yet this has happened time and again in the recent past. Why?

Upon the 50th anniversary of the Jewish state of Israel's reunification of Jerusalem, there is no better time to end the propaganda myth that Jerusalem is a holy city to Muslims.
The Muslim fixation and clamor on Jerusalem is actually a very recent historical development--a product of political conflict, not historical truth.
Jerusalem rates not a single mention in the Quran, and Muslims face Mecca in prayer. In the 7th century A.D., the Damascus-based Umayyad rulers built up Jerusalem as a counterweight to Mecca.
This is when the important Muslim shrines, the Dome of the Rock (691) and the Al-Aqsa mosque (705), were intentionally built on the site of the destroyed biblical Jewish temples--a time-honored practice to physically signal the predominance of Islam.
Yet references in the Quran and hadith to Muhammad's night journey to heaven on his steed Buraq from the "farthest mosque" couldn't mean Jerusalem, because the Quran refers to the land of Israel as the "nearest" place.
It couldn't have been a reference to the Al-Aqsa mosque, for the simple reason that Al-Aqsa didn't exist in Muhammad's day.
With the demise of the Umayyad dynasty and the shift of the caliphate to Baghdad, Jerusalem fell into a long decline, scarcely interrupted by occasional bursts of Muslim interest in the city during the Crusader period and the Ottoman conquest. Mark Twain, visiting in 1867, described it as a "pauper village."

Amid a quiet-yet-massive arms race between Israel and Hezbollah, both sides are preparing for the possibility of a war branching out to sea.  
The new reality for Israel's navy is that Hezbollah and Hamas are more than terrorist organizations--they represent new kinds of armies, and in Hezbollah's case, an army with advanced state-level weaponry. 
In Lebanon, Hezbollah's enormous arsenal of ballistic projectiles and missiles continues to grow. The Iranian-backed Shi'a terror group also has a growing number of rockets with GPS guidance kits, and a stockpile of surface-to-sea cruise missiles for taking aim at sensitive targets. 
Such targets could include Israeli ports, navy bases, civilian and military sea vessels, and offshore gas rigs.
In Gaza, Hamas is manufacturing unguided ballistic rockets it can use to attack ships, gas rigs and the Ashdod port, though Hamas appears to lack Hezbollah's cruise missiles and guided rockets. 
The IDF has developed ways to attack these threatening projectile launchers in the event of a military escalation, and the Israeli Navy plays a key role in these plans.
The navy is also acquiring systems for defending itself--and others--against incoming rockets and missiles, former Israeli Navy Chief Vice Admiral Eliezer Marum told JNS.org.

In the twenty-fifth chapter of Leviticus is found God's giving of the Jubilee to the nation of Israel.
"And thou shalt number seven Sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and the space of the seven Sabbaths of years shall be unto thee forty and nine years. Then shalt thou cause the trumpet of the jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month, in the day of atonement shall ye make the trumpet sound throughout all your land. And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family."
Every seventh year was a Sabbath year and after seven Sabbath years numbering forty-nine years in all, they were to proclaim the following year, the fiftieth year a jubilee.
One of the primary functions of the jubilee was to return every possession unto its original owner. The institution of the Jubilee Year became the means of fixing the price of real property and moreover, it excluded the possibility of selling any piece of land permanently.
In verse 23 God furnishes the motive:
"The land shall not be sold for ever: for the land is mine; for ye are strangers and sojourners with me."

Europe's Islamic Future
Europe is changing and experts now believe that the process of Islamization has moved past a point of no return..

Neither Turkey, Egypt, Syria nor Iran need to declare war or fire a single shot and yet within a few short generations, Islam will overwhelm the European continent and snuff out French, German, Swedish, British and a host of other European cultures. 
The invasion is one of immigration and higher birthrates, and it is well underway. It is a silent jihad.
No accident of history, this demographic shift is a long-term strategy that the autocrats of Islamic nations recognize and proudly boast of to the world. Immigration is a part of the equation, but equally important are the higher birthrates of Muslim families that tend to have more children. 
Yasser Arafat, as Christian lecturer Dr. Alex McFarland points out, famously told the Arab world in 1994, while he was the President of the PLA, that Islam would "win the world through the wombs of the Arabic women." He was not the only leader to make such claims.
As recently as March of 2017, the increasingly authoritarian President Erdogan of Turkey delivered a speech in which he instructed Turks to "Make not three, but five children. Because you are the future of Europe. That will be the best response to the injustices against you."

Jerusalem's Ancient Temple Vessels Hidden In Plain Sight?

"In my recent book I provide many proofs, all sourced and referenced to prove that the Temple stood more to the southwest of the Dome of the Rock, i.e. closer to the Western Wall of today," explained Moskoff to Prophecy News Watch. "All of these proofs come from a scriptural perspective, specifically from the Torah and other Jewish sources."
Moskoff has spent significant time and resources into searching the location of these artifacts which he believes are urgently needed to be found to not only silence Israel's enemies, but also to speed up the final redemption.
"I'm finding that more and more people from all walks of life are seeking ways to help the plight of Israel in the mainstream media and in the forum of public opinion," he continued. "With Jerusalem celebrating 50 years of its reunification with the miraculous Six-Day War, now is the most appropriate time to recognize the importance of biblical archaeology and support these projects."

Jerusalem Day this year marks the 50th anniversary of the reunification of the holiest city in the world.
Free activities in the Old City and surrounding areas will include musical performances, a parade, a prayer service at the Western Wall and free tours of different historical sites.
Israelis and Jews worldwide viewed the reunification of Jerusalem as a momentous event, if not a divinely orchestrated occurrence - a gift to the Chosen People from God.
But despite the citys continued growth and development, there are still thousands of needy residents in the city. The Meir Panim charity organization was established ten years ago to keep those disadvantaged people from going hungry. 
Jerusalem has always been a city under siege, falling into the hands of many rulers and governments for thousands of years. After the State of Israel was established in 1948, the holy city was still under Jordanian control.
And then, for six harrowing days in 1967, the very existence of Israel was again at risk when Egyptian, Jordanian, and Syrian military attacked the young country. Against all odds, Israelis were victorious, and along with the Golan Heights, the Sinai Peninsula, and the West Bank, Jerusalem was captured and once again safely in possession of the Jewish People - after they had been denied access to the site of the Holy Temple for 2,000 years.

Palestinians: The Threats Trump Needs To Hear
Hamas could easily take over any Palestinian state that the U.S. and the Europeans help create in the West Bank.
As U.S. President Donald Trump prepares to hold his second meeting with Palestinian Authority (PA) President Mahmoud Abbas in Bethlehem next week, two Palestinian terror groups have announced that the new U.S. administration is planning to "liquidate the Palestinian cause." 
The warning by Hamas and Islamic Jihad is directed not only against Trump and his new administration, but also against Abbas and any Arab leader who dares to "collude" with the U.S.
The two Palestinian terror groups, which control the Gaza Strip and its two million residents, also renewed their pledge to pursue the armed fight against Israel; they said they would not give up one inch of Palestine, from the (Mediterranean) sea to the (Jordan) river.
Trump and his administration would do well to heed the warning issued by Hamas and Islamic Jihad, especially in the wake of Abbas's recent statements concerning a two-state solution and peace with Israel. 
Abbas controls only parts of the West Bank, and how he intends to establish a Palestinian state when he cannot even set foot in the Gaza Strip is anyone's guess. 
Recently, Hamas announced that if and when the 82-year-old Abbas shows up in the Gaza Strip, he will be hanged in a public square on charges of "high treason."
The warning by the Palestinian terror groups was made during a joint rally in the Gaza Strip on May 14. Leaders of Hamas and Islamic Jihad vowed to "preserve the Palestinian rifle and Palestinian rights in the face of any schemes and attempts to liquidate the Palestinian cause."
Hamas leader Mahmoud Zahar stated that Palestinian "principles are part of our [Islamic] religion, and we cannot make any concessions on them. We will not give up one inch of our land and holy sites. We will continue to work until the liberation of each inch of Palestine."
Zahar also warned Abbas against signing any agreement with Israel that includes relinquishing Palestinian rights. "Anyone who gives up our rights and holy sites will betray Allah and his Prophet Mohammed," Zahar cautioned.

Hagee also noted Trump will soon need to decide whether to postpone the embassy's transfer to Jerusalem by at least half a year.
"Like [former President Harry] Truman, Mr. Trump must contend with well-entrenched anti-Israel bureaucrats at the State Department who will try to use their positions to make moving the embassy difficult. But the buck does not stop with bureaucrats," he wrote.
Hagee added, "The Jewish state has the right to determine where it would place its capital, and it has chosen Jerusalem. The international community's decision to cower before Israel's enemies by keeping embassies in Tel Aviv is disgraceful."
In 1995, Congress passed the Jerusalem Embassy Act, which calls on the U.S. to move the embassy to Jerusalem and recognize the city as Israel's capital.

Last year, 3,118 new immigrants made the capital their home and Jerusalem's population grew by 16,000 people.
There were 23,600 births in the city in 2016, which constituted 13 percent of births across the country. 
The total fertility rate in Jerusalem stood at 3.87 children per woman in 2016, compared with the national average of 3.1. The average household in Jerusalem, with 3.9 members, was also larger than the Israeli average of 3.3 household members.
Ninety-three percent of Jews and 89 percent of Arabs who live in Jerusalem say they are satisfied with their lives.

Jerusalem Institute for Policy Research data reveals the high-tech industry is thriving in the capital. In the past two years, the number of Jerusalem residents employed in the high-tech industry rose by 28 percent. 
In 2015, 18,500 people worked in high-tech, compared to 14,400 in 2013. Workforce participation in 2016, however, stood at 52.4 percent, as opposed to the national average of 64.1 percent.
