Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Sure to go to Heaven? Life of illusion.
Philippians 3:11, 12 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
Christians who believe in Christ are very confident they will surely go to Heaven. It is like a person who sees a competition poster, believes he has already won it since he knows the judge!
Will a righteous judge allow unrighteousness?
Grace is greatly misunderstood to believe even if a person does not do anything yet receive it, for it is freely given.
Yes grace is free but not freely given. It is given to people who have faith, without faith there is no grace, so to be in grace, faith needs to be kept alive. Grace also does no effect on a person with zero balance, thus for grace to work one has to have some balance or works and that is works of faith (not of righteousness). That means a person who does truly do the Will of the Father (at least make efforts) can only have grace working and be saved.
Paul did all these things yet we see in today’s scripture we see Paul was not sure of his entering Heaven. If a pious person like Paul was not sure than how is that part time Christians are so sure?
Paul knew about Judgment Day and the criteria to enter Heaven, he could not understand how he would reach that mark. A couple of verses later Paul says he is not aiming for just that mark but for a greater mark of receiving a great reward, a high crown. It was only in his last letters that Paul was confident to have achieved that mark of going to Heaven.
It is said ‘ignorance is bliss’. Christian read part scriptures and thus live a life of delusion. They assume everything is fine, thus do not work towards the mark of resurrection and entering Heaven all because they are fed part information. They believe God will do everything and they just need to go to Church, speak the word ‘Jesus’, read the Bible, rattle prayers a few times in a week, give money to the Church and show some charity.
We are called to be Disciples of Christ that does not mean just believe in Him but means to follow Him. The fallen angels / evil spirits know Him better than most Christians do yet they will not enter Heaven because they did not do the Will of the Father.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You alone are a Holy God. Your Kingdom is a Holy place and thus You have called us to be reformed to be worthy to enter your Kingdom. Lord we pray we understand it is impossible to enter your Kingdom but only because You made a way to enter it is today possible. Lord we pray we walk that Way so as to reach our destination that is Heaven...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name...
[Reference Scriptures]
Philippians 3:11-16
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.
16 Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.
Matthew 8:12 But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Matthew 7:21-23
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
He is able to do exceeding abundantly above all
Ephesians 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
We see Preachers quote today’s scripture very frequently and people love to hear it but what they do is quote part of it, they stop at ‘think’, they say ‘now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think’, but then fail to put forth the condition that follows.
True God is able to do exceeding, abundantly and above all that we can think but then He does this only unto those who let His power work in them. The conditions for this power to work is things like faith, submission, righteousness, piety etc...
In scriptures we see faithlessness not only of oneself but even those around you can block miracles happening your life. It was for this reason Jesus took the blind man out of Bethsaida to heal him and later cursed that town for their faithlessness. When it comes to living a life of righteousness the people around you can be a support to you or be a challenge for you, especially if they are senior or elder to you.
So let us take a note of not just our own lives but also the kind of people we associate with in our lives. We may socially interact with them but if they are spiritually influencing us and this influence is not showing good results then it is better to keep distance from such people.
A Christian is not called to be a solidary being but a body, thus needs to connect to others. Other than the Lord only 60% of our spiritual life is in our own control and the remaining 40% is the influence of others connected to us. If we are not making efforts to utilize the 60% than the 40% can be of greater influence on our spiritual life.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord make us to be a body, to connect and be one. You know that by one’s self we cannot achieve and thus need to connect with others.. You have us a mission to reach out to other not that You need help but by doing this mission we help ourselves more than others to bring forth Fruits of the Spirit...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Mark 8:
22 And he cometh to Bethsaida; and they bring a blind man unto him, and besought him to touch him.
23 And he took the blind man by the hand, and led him out of the town; and when he had spit on his eyes, and put his hands upon him, he asked him if he saw ought.
Matthew 11:21 Woe unto thee, Chorazin! woe unto thee, Bethsaida! for if the mighty works, which were done in you, had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes.
2 Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?

Beware those who tell you do not go too deep into scriptures
1 Timothy 1:10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
Past few days we have been getting messages after messages of caution against those who twist and preach part of the truth in such a way that causes people to be misled and go astray.
Today we are back to the scripture which started these series of messages. We learnt before the words ‘sound doctrine’ actually means the ‘whole teaching’.. Today’s scripture lists a few kind of people who prefer to not seek the whole truth but manipulate others with part understanding of scriptures and these are given as:-
1) Whoremongers – people who prostitute themselves not necessary in flesh but also in character. People who change their stance for personal benefits.
2) Define themselves with mankind – homosexuals – in spiritual sense refers to those people who worship other people. People who make superiors or leaders into gods.
3) Menstealers – slave dealers or promoters – in spiritual sense people who put others in religious bondages. People who demand blind following of religious activities without understanding.
4) Liars – people who break the faith or infect others with theirs faithlessness
5) Perjured persons - false swearer, people who keep making commitments and keep breaking them time and again.
These are the main kinds of those people who will caution you about the dangers of getting too deep into scripture study.
Understand as we learn more of the Kingdom of God the more the kingdom of darkness gets exposed and destroyed. So do not let any person to deprive you from getting into the smaller aspects of Word study and things connected to them.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord made the Heavens and our Creation, You did this by the Word of your mouth which bought forth light. You made man to be the light in the darkness, to know the truth and to overcome evil. Lord we pray we seek more and more of your Word and your Kingdom. We pray we discern those who hinder us from the truth...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
John 8:31-32
31 Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
John 3:20-21
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

Mythology vs Demonstration and Proof
2 Peter 1: 16 For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty.
We know many of the religions are mythology and not real. The term mythology means tales which are shared without having any historical records or evidence backing it. But then there are some religions like Islam which most people think is historical and true. But those who have truly studied Islam have another story to tell.
Islam is based on their prophet Mohammed and if the character is removed Islam ceases to exist.
If one studies the Quran, the names of the prophet and the key places Mecca and Medina were not mentioned in the early Quranic text, they were added later. If one checks the description of the place as narrated in the texts one finds things like olive trees, valleys and even the salt pillars of Abraham’s nephew Lot’s wife mentioned. Now anyone having any knowledge of these places will tell you the aspects described are not of Mecca nor Medina but of a place which is about 400kms from these places and is called Pyra. If we trace the ‘qibla’ - direction to face to pray which is put on the mosque (the mosques too were made in that direction), of oldest mosques, before they moved from Jerusalem to Mecca, they were facing this place called Pyra. So we see the story of someone from Pyra who existed many years before Mohammed is made into a concoction with another person and in another place. The question is what is the actual story?
Christianity is not a mythology because every fact mentioned in the Bible has historical evidence and its understanding has been scientifically proven over the years, right from how creation came into existence to the so called astonishing events / miracles of nature are all backed with evidence. It is not just the natural but even the spiritual is demonstrated like healings and miracles, many having medical proofs to show they were unnatural.
Let us as Christians who witness Christ should do so not only spiritually with miracles and healings but also be aware of the historical and scientific proofs that back its every claim.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are true and everything about You is evident in all manners of understanding. Lord we pray we understand there is nothing called blind faith in Christianity but everything backed with evidence and demonstration of power...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

The Seven Woes
Revelation 8: 12 And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.
In the book of Revelation we have the most dreadful warnings ever in the whole of mankind, it speaks of 7 woes or incidents that start from Rev 8:7 and ends at Rev 9:19. They warn of almost every drastic or extreme disaster imagined by man right from great volcanos on land that darkens the sky for days such that nor the sun or moon is visible and also in sea that kill most of sea life. It also talks of plagues like never before that do not kill immediately but cause man to suffer terribly for a long periods such that people seek death in this plague, a third of the population dies. It also speaks of many small meteorites and specifically a large one that kills a large population. What is interesting is verse 20 and 21 records that even after all these disasters those who survive do not repent form their sinful ways and they continue their worship of unknown gods and of making idols of demons to worship them.
In India even though people have suffered these 5months due to pandemic with many having no food and thus killing themselves yet we find people making beautiful large idols which are then drowned in the sea or ponds.
Many, many years back during this season I used to pray for natural disasters like very heavy rains so that these people become helpless before their idols and seek the true God. Once the Lord did confirm He had answered my prayer, although for 3 to 4 days the whole city and parts of the state saw flash floods like never before yet we see people within a couple of years were back to what they did. God showed me the loser was me and not they; disasters and suffering do not change people.
The way love changes people, disasters and suffering cannot. During these difficult times we have an opportunity to show the love of Christ so let us not lose it. Let us show people the healing power and grace which no idol or god can manifest.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord made the Heaven and Earth and all that living in it. Everything You made with purpose and amongst them You made those whom You have eternal plans for. August 24
Today's Reading: Psalms 116; 1 Corinthians 7:1-19
Today’s Thoughts: In the Morning
My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You,And I will look up. Psalm 5:3
Have you ever noticed the difference between waking up with an alarm clock versus sleeping until you naturally wake up? When it comes to doing morning devotions, there is a huge difference between the two. Personally, I love to sleep in. But once I am up, I do not slow down; I make the most of my day. I rarely sit down unless I am eating or in a meeting. So I am thankful to the Lord that I have no trouble falling asleep and staying asleep. It is the waking up that gives me the most trouble.
For years, I set aside a "quiet time," to just be quiet to pray and to read my Bible during the day. But because of my personality and because of the activities of the day competing for my attention (like work, the kids and the phone), I became too distracted to concentrate on the things of God. I would read verses like Psalm 5:3 and know deep within my heart that I needed to get up before the day started. It took a long time and a lot of prayer to get me into the habit and pattern of waking up early. It is only in the early mornings that I am in a better place to hear from the Lord because there is nothing competing against His words. During this quiet time, I can enjoy the freedom from the noise of the day. The house is quiet and peaceful in the pre-dawn hours.
It is funny that if I was going on vacation or needed to catch a plane, I could more easily get out of bed to the buzzing noise of an alarm clock. But how come with the things of God, we resist so much? Personally, I believe it is because we resist the words ‘discipline’ and ‘dependency’. We need to discipline our bodies to wake up early and we do it to show our dependency on needing the Lord to help us. God loves us and has so much to give to us. His ways are of peace. For me, I have learned that an extra hour in bed cannot compare with the peace I receive spending quiet time with Him first thing; for Jesus says, "But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you" (Matthew 6:33).
My encouragement to you is to try it. Set your alarm half an hour earlier than you normally get up and make a commitment to do it every day for a week. And give that half hour to the Lord, ask Him to wake you up to His words and to give you the peace that will carry you throughout your day. When you make this change in your daily habits, God will bless you.

Elaine, approach the season of repentance!
The Hebrew calendar month of Elul began last Friday night. Each day during the month of Elul, a shofar blast is sounded to announce the coming month of Tishrei – wherein the festival of Yom Teruah – the feast of trumpets-- takes place, calling for all people to repent. Elul, therefore, is identified as a month during which a serious emphasis is placed on personal self-examination and repentance, an end-of-the year opportunity to set our lives in order before Yom Teruah (Rosh Hashana), the days of Awe, and finally, Yom Kippur. Chronologically, Elul begins 40 days before Yom Kippur.
The number "forty" throughout the Bible consistently denotes a season of probation, trial or testing. For example, Yeshua fasted for 40 days in the wilderness before he was tested by Satan; the children of Israel wandered 40 years in the desert; Goliath tormented Israel 40 days before David stood up to the giant; God caused the rains to come down 40 days and 40 nights during the days of Noah, to name a few examples.
We in the Body of Messiah may also sense and identify with this season on the Lord's calendar if we choose, to initiate a time of self-inspection and reflection.
The Hebrew calendar extends to all of us an invitation to concentrate on and pray about the particular areas of our lives which need attention, adjustment, or even elimination. We can be sure that our Lord will honor and respond to a humble self-inquiry along the line of Psalm 139:23-24:
"Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts, and see if any wicked way is in me; and lead me in the way everlasting."
Elaine, while this ought to be an attitude we walk in all year round, perhaps a particular emphasis on it during this season will please the Lord, and prepare us for the times ahead.

Discernment and Conscience
1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me, but all things edify not.
As one studies the inner-man or the spiritual heart of man one sees the inner-man is connected to the natural world through discernment which in turn connect to the 5 senses of the body. Discernment is like our natural heart which pumps bad/unhealthy blood for purification and good/healthy blood to the various parts of the body. On the other side, our inner-man is connected to the spirit world through conscience. Conscience is always assumed as our moral judgment of things but is biblically concerned with spiritual things.
We are considered as growing in spirit when we start using, controlling and optimizing the use of discernment and conscience. It starts with discernment and moves on to conscience.
The people of Corinth were spiritual infants thus Paul was instructing them about using discernment, thus gave them tips on what basis to open or shut the one way valves of the spiritual pump called discernment. Paul tells them they have right to see all things, taste all things (eat), feel all things (possess), smell all things (enjoy) and even hear all things (communicate), but then all is not good for them and the basis of deciding is knowing if it edifies (builds).
Love can be confused with emotions, possessiveness, infatuation, lust etc., the only way to know if we love a person is to see if it edifies. Just because our relations pleases any one party it is not necessary mean love; unless it does not edify the recipient (other person) it is not considered as love. In some translations the Greek word ‘Agape’ meaning ‘love’ is translated as ‘charity’ which is less confusing. Many Preachers foolishly state Agape means Father’s love and its conjugations as human love!
Man did not know love until Christ manifested God’s love by His sacrifice. It is only through Christ we understand love. Love is all about edification of others, it is only when we edify others the Lord edifies us, like Christ humbled Himself to become our sacrifice and meditator of our salvation so that He be glorified by the Father.
In our previous message we saw how the word ‘concern’ got mistranslated as ‘conflict’, we see a greater blunder in translations in the very next verse of today’s scripture. Most translations add the word ‘wealth’ to the V24 instead of the word ‘edification’. It should have been ‘let not man seek his own [edification] but every man another’s [edification]’.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. Lord You alone are God in You alone is true Knowledge, Wisdom, Holiness and Love amongst others. Lord You showed us true love by becoming our sacrifice and mediator to be reconciled with the Father. Lord we pray we seek not our own edification first but edification of others so that You edify us in You...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Warn Comfort Support and be Patient
1 Thessalonians 5:14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly {disorderly}, comfort {verbally minister} the feebleminded {fainthearted}, support {uphold} the weak {feeble}, be patient {slow to anger} toward all [men].
Today’s scripture is from Paul’s letter to the Thessalonians who were people of moderate spiritual maturity. These people did not suffer spiritually like the Corinthians and had many among them who worked for the Lord’s Kingdom. Yes, there were few who did not abide in Christian ministry amongst them and they were not spared such that Paul in his second letter said he supported the actions taken against these people, ‘who did not work should not eat’ (food was provided at their gatherings).
Today those in Church are not as Corinthians who need to be fed with pure milk but are people who need some level of solid food meat like the Thessalonians and thus need to be addressed similarly. We need to increase the number of workers for the Lord’s Kingdom and organize them in a better way.
In today’s scripture we read Paul advising them to warn those who are functioning disorderly and to speak to them that are faint in heart, those who are tired spiritually or losing hope. He also advises them to support them who are tired (both physically and spiritually), on verge of giving up and above all Paul tells them to not rebuke anyone immediately to the face but give all time to change.
Let us follow this advice and bring about spiritual growth to each other.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are slow to anger and when man sinned You did not set him to immediate punishment but gave him time to change and be transformed, You also made a Way and became his Helper to this transformation. Lord we pray we grow spiritually in You and glorify You...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen..
[Reference Scriptures]
1 Thessalonians 5:12-15
12 And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish {alert / warn} you;
13 And to esteem them very highly in love for their work’s sake. [And] be at peace among yourselves.
14 Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all [men].
15 See that none render evil for evil unto any [man]; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all [men].
2 Thessalonians 3:10-12
10 For even when we were with you, we used to give you this command: “If anyone is not willing to work, neither should he eat.”
11 For we hear that some among you are living an undisciplined life, not doing their own work but meddling in the work of others.
12 Now such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to work quietly and so provide their own food to eat.

What Great Conflict
Colossians 2: 1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and [for] them at Laodicea, and [for] as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
In today’s message we read in the KJV translation Paul having ‘a great conflict for’ the people of Colossi, especially for those whom he had not met face to face.
Initial assumption of a person on reading this scripture is how a Man of God like Paul can have a conflict when there is no incident mentioned of backsliding among the Colossians.
I always tell people not to rely fully on any translation but to double check with other translations and also with Strong Greek/Hebrew word mapping if one does not know biblical languages.
When we get into the Greek word ‘agon’ translated as conflict it refers to an assembly or place of assembly; during the Romans era these places were used mainly for games like tournaments between gladiators, thus the term conflict. It is only when we get to the root word ‘ago’ which means ‘to lead another’ do we understand the scripture. The scripture means opposite of what word used in the translation, it talks of concern and not conflict, and this is given in most commentaries yet not corrected in the translation. This is not just one off mistake, there are many such in various translations and in at times in almost all where the whole meaning of what is written is changed because of existent ‘Church doctrine’.
Many a times we may wonder why the Lord allowed it.
We need to understand in its time the Lord opens the proper understanding of scriptures. This time does not depend on the global clock but on the hearts of people, as a person’s heart leans towards the Lord they receive more of Him. We have periods in history where there were no Men of God recorded through whom the Lord spoke to His people.
We are now in a period wherein we will know more and more of the Lord since the Lord is working on the hearts of the people through the situations that exist. These situations are compelling the hearts and minds of people either to seek the Lord or seek the world.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You along are God and there is none other than You. You are light and away from You is darkness. Lord we pray we seek You and seek light not darkness, we pray You set our hearts unto You and not the foolishness of the world, may we know more and more of You so that we grow in authority in You and glorify You on earth like it is in Heaven...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

1 For I would that ye knew what great conflict I have for you, and [for] them at Laodicea, and [for] as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ;
3 In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
1 John 5:19-21
19 [And] we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.
20 And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
No testing that not happened before
1 Corinthians 10: 13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].
The Greek word ‘peirasmos’ actually means ‘testing’ but is also translated as ‘temptation’. The difference between testing and temptation is the purpose, testing is for building and temptation is for destruction. All of God’s plans are for edification, they are light thus God tests and does not tempt, but on the other hand the devil tempts, he does not test for his plans are only for destruction since he himself is darkness (obstructs light).
Today’s scripture talks of God and thus we have to use the word ‘testing’ and not ‘temptation’. The scripture talks of the times we are going like the times the people of Corinthians went through. During that time the Prophet Agabus had prophesied about famine throughout the Roman Empire and just a couple of years back they had experienced this. The prophecy of Agabus happened in 41AD (as recorded by Josephus) and other sources put it as 44AD. This happened in the rein of Tiberius Claudius Drusus the son of Nero. The famine lasted for 4years and this letter was written around 51AD so these people had just come out of that hard situation. The situation was so hard that Claudius had to reduce taxes.
We too are going through a hard situation and in the start many lost hope of overcoming it they thought it was the end, but today the situation is better and soon as we will totally overcome it, then some will even say it was not so great a battle.
Let us always trust God in every situation. Let us remember when we are in Him, we are precious to Him and He will not let us perish, nothing that comes by us will be a difficulty for us to overcome. But that does not mean we be carefree but like the Churches during that time gathered together supported each other, we too need to battle it for now.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You God created the Heaven and Earth (our creations) for a purpose and You being Omnipresent have seen everything from the start to the end. Lord we pray we learn to trust in You and not lose hope anytime. We pray we always remember You love us...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

28 And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar.
Romans 8:35-39
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? [shall] tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Know your Limits
2 Corinthians 10: 13 But we will not boast of things without [our] measure, but according to the measure of the rule which God hath distributed to us, a measure to reach even unto you.
In today’s scripture we see Paul talks of boasting but says he and his team do so within limits set by God.
If people put boasting as pride then it becomes a vice which leads to evil, but all boasting (taking glory) is not pride. We need to understand boasting within a set limit is called self-realization and beyond that limit is called pride.
I have mentioned before being humble has nothing to do with lowering oneself but more about lifting others beyond oneself. So any person saying ‘I am nobody’, ‘I am a very small person’ is not a humble person but someone who is either ignorant, a fool or out to deceive others.
A righteous person does not mean a person doing good deeds but mean a person who knows his or her limits of things. One cannot set ones’ own limits. Righteousness is walking in the way of the Lord, knowing the set parameters by God and following it. Thus knowing the limits set by God is very critical for our walk in righteousness and this is only possible through His Word. Without knowing God and His Word it is impossible to walk in righteousness.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Creator of all things. You made all things yet You made only the beings of Heaven and man in your image for your plans of eternity is only for them. Lord we pray we follow your plans, not to ignore or reject them and also not to try to improve on them. Lord we pray we walk the path set by You not stepping to the left or the right...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

1 John 2:29 If ye know that he is righteous, ye know that every one that doeth righteousness is born of him.
2 Peter 2:8-10
8 (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed [his] righteous soul from day to day with [their] unlawful deeds;)
9 The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished:
10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous [are they], selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.
Matthew 13:41-43
41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Riches of His Grace Ephesians 1: 7-8 In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace; Wherein he hath abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence {understanding}; Today’s scripture talks of the sacrifice of Jesus which He predetermined (not predestine) us to be Sons of God by forgiveness of sin. In today’s scripture the term ‘blood’ refers to the sacrifice and not literate blood. What is important is today’s scripture talks of this being done according to the riches of His grace which is wrapped in all wisdom and understanding. People who preach ‘Prosperity Gospel’ are the people who lack wisdom and understanding thus seek not the riches of His grace but seek riches of this world. God does nor desire us to be poor and lacking but wants us to be sufficiently satisfied in all our needs, on the other hand He also does not desire us to be filled beyond our needs, meaning filled with greed. He has seen how an anointed Cherub took to darkness starting with greed. We are warned of the knowledge of this world because it is not perfect but distorted, many a time leading more to lies and not to the truth, evolution is a classic case. It is not that creatures did not evolve but this evolution is micro evolution meaning within the same species and not macro evolution that is from one specie to another. This theory of evolution has only one aim that is to deny intelligent design, in other words the Creator. If one sees the main promoters of this theory are Atheists. True wisdom and understanding will not allow any vice including greed. This world mistakes shrewdness to wisdom and thus think those who are rich are also wise. If one attends management sessions one will see how people are trained to be shrewd. We who are in His grace, let us seek the riches of His wisdom and understanding and not shrewdness, corrupt knowledge or vain riches of this world. [Prayer Starter] Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord created all things in an image and the things which You planned to dwell eternally with You, You made in your image, thus the Heavenly Angels and man are both in your image. Lord we pray we understand the purpose of creating us. We pray we seek true wisdom and understanding and not the lies and garbage of this world... We make this prayer in Jesus’ Name, Amen. [Reference Scriptures] Ephesians 1:4-5 4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, John 15:19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Ephesians 1:4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: 1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things [that are] in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. Matthew 19:23-24 23 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, Verily I say unto you, That a rich man shall hardly enter into the kingdom of heaven. 24 And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Ignorant People
1 Thessalonians 4: 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
We are an ignorant lot by the very fact that most people do not have a clear understanding of salvation(s). There are two salvations in OT stated as ‘my salvation’ and the Lord’s salvation (‘His salvation’) although both are part of the same salvation yet are two different stages of salvation. By receiving one, a person cannot assume to receive the second.
Being saved from Hell is our salvation and is the first stage of salvation. On Judgment Day receiving His righteousness (white robe) and entering Heaven as one body is ‘His salvation’. So between these two those who await judgment (the flock / Believers – both sheep and goats) sleep in the Lord, meaning dwell in a realm called ‘Grave’ or ‘Sea’. It is not to be mistaken to natural grave where the body decays and becomes dust.
Let us not be ignorant people Paul warns about but understand salvation and our purpose in the Lord. Let us not be foolish people to claim people have risen to Heaven and descended from it. Even during the time of Jesus it is written no one ascended to Heaven pointing to the Men of God or Patriarchs sleeping in the Lord / gathered unto their fathers.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord have created man for a purpose and we pray man understanding this purpose. Let us not be foolish people believing contrary to the purpose. We pray fear of You be amongst your people knowing they will be judged on Judgment Day...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Making Disciples of Man
1 Corinthians 3: 4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I [am] of Apollos; are ye not carnal?
Yesterday we saw how the Lord warned about seeking riches and advised us to diligently keep the faith, witness that faith and our person lives unto others until His coming again.
In today’s message we see the Lord points to another serious problems amongst ministries, amongst Preachers and so called Men and Women of God.
We find almost all those who lead large ministries are the poster boy of their ministries. They preach about Christ but promote themselves. Ministries and Churches have become family businesses.
A couple of years before I went into the interiors of India with brethren of a ministry I was a part of, to a belt where Christianity has been growing strong since very long. Here they have many small Churches sprouted all over, yet lots of work was left to do.
Something that amused me the way the Pastors and Church leaders promoted themselves, it was like politicians during election times. We had gone there taking good preachers to evangelize those areas thus connected to all these small Churches there and when we reached there we were surprised to see large posters about the event everywhere but plastered with photos of the Pastors and their cows (main financers).
We have large ministries which have thousands and millions of members but when we look at what they produce is not even a handful of people worthy for the Kingdom of God, the reason being they all become disciples of the Preacher and not of Christ. It is like a large factory producing only rejects and not even one acceptable product!
Imagine the wrath of God on those Preachers on Judgment Day, I am sure the unbelievers will be in a thousand time better position than them.
Let our ministries and purpose in Christ be to glorify His Name and who HE is for life is only in Him and through Him. When we promote ourselves we only promote death and not life even if we are packaging ourselves in the name of Jesus Christ.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord alone have life within yourself. All living things were created by You and through You. Lord we pray we show people the path to life and not to death by promoting ourselves. Lord we pray we glorify You and your Name in all that we do...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

20 Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Most Important Commandment
1 Timothy 6: 14 That thou keep [this] commandment without spot, unrebukeable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ:
OT, the Lord gave us the 10 important Commandments through Moses and Jesus in the New Testament summed them into 2 and later fused it into 1 to His disciples which is ‘love one another as I have loved you’.
In today’s message we see Paul talks of a commandment of greatest important such that he tells Timothy (and us through it since these letters were read in Churches and were not personal to Timothy) to follow it without spot, unrebukeable and follow it until the appearing of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Was Paul overruling the Lord Jesus Christ and changing things? No.
The commandment if we look at was an expounding of the Commandment Jesus gave. Paul warned Timothy of the love of money the very thing most Christian Preachers preach of, how to get rich and richer. The first thing they pray for is worldly possessions. Paul asked Timothy to instead seek the Fruits of the Spirit above all things. He also instructed him to keep his own faith strong and make sure to witness his life and faith to many.
Today when we look at celebratory Preachers, those who organize big events and seek large crowds actual follow Paul’s commandment in the opposite. The first thing they want is money and riches. They will give excuses of cost of having large events but never talk about the amount to money that goes into their own pockets. They try to justify their efforts giving God no credit at all in all that they do. They will do anything to achieve their purpose even if their nakedness is visible to the people.
It may seem ironic that a rich man will have many worldly friends but will have no family. He will have great problems in trusting people even those closely related to him.
Paul did not give these instructions to Timothy alone but to you and me. We need to understand the seriousness of these instructions else we will be found amongst the goats on Judgment Day.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are an Awesome God. You made mere man the lowest amongst heavenly beings so that You can transform man and lift him to a great position. Lord we pray we who were exiled from Heaven may return to claim that eternal position. Let not vain temporary things like earthly riches and lusts be a cause for us to lose the real precious riches. Lord we pray we run our race most honestly and diligently...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

John 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.
John 15:12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.
Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:
20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
Matthew 19:21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go [and] sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come [and] follow me.
Luke 9:23 And he said to [them] all, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
What is Faith?
Hebrew 11: 1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
We have heard many Preachers preached on this scripture concerning faith. When I would hear them, even though it sounded good to my ears yet in spirit it was not digestible for me, since I did some study on faith and about the different levels of faith starting from hope and manifesting to authority. Jesus who was perfect in faith was not called a ‘man of faith’ but called a ‘man of authority’.
I always insist all Christians who are serious about Bible study should have basic knowledge of the Biblical languages Hebrew and Greek. If we relook at today’s scripture going into its pure Greek interpretation to simple English it gives a better understanding of faith.
Hebrew 11:1 But faith is the confidence of hope, proof of things unseen.
In this scripture the Greek word translated as substance/confidence is a compound word and means understanding. So indirectly faith is the understanding of hope and confirmation of the unseen.
Hope is the first level of faith, maturing to trust and then to faith, but the perfection of faith is authority.
Here we see Paul (supposedly) speaks of how understanding of the truth converts our hope into faith when we get a confirmation of things hoped for..
We lack faith since we do not seek the truth and have distorted understanding of the truth. The moment we get a clearer understanding of the truth our faith will high and life will be unlike that we have known.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are perfect and so also is your Word perfect. We do not seek the true understanding of your Word and thus are far from the truth and thus struggle in life and with our problems. Lord we pray we thirst more and more for your Word and right understanding of your Word so that we become people of perfect faith, people of authority...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Glory of Christ in the Church
Ephesians 3: 21 Unto him [be] glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
Some days back I saw a post put by someone say ‘Satan is not disturbed when you read the Bible but gets worried when you apply it’ and ‘Satan is not worried when you become a member of a Church but worried when you attend it’.
In USA and many other developed countries we find Christians are on the street protesting so that the governments open Church doors so that they get together to worship God. Ironically the people leading these rallies are none other than the heads of large rich ministries.
The people most affected by the pandemic is the poor and the very rich; the middle class has been able to sustain the lockdown but the poor are dying of hunger and the rich are dying of greed.
The first part of Satan about us implementing the Word is true, for it fails his plans to destroy us, but the second part of we being in Church causing him to worry is not true. It may surprise many that the safest place that Satan finds to put Christians is inside the institute called ‘Church’.
Keeping Christians outside church causes them to thirst God more and do His mission more. But when they attend a church soon they are bought under the control of man and led by men not led by the Holy Spirit and controlled by the Holy Spirit.
Churches have become a Bermuda Triangle where most Christians get lost and die spiritually. The legalism and traditions that rules the Church fails the purpose why they exist.
Prayer life is not a weekly affair nor something that requires us to gather together. Personal prayer life should be many over praying in a community. Also worshiping the Lord should be above our importance to pray. We do not realize if we truly worship God we will have less reasons to pray to the Lord.
I have mentioned before the Greek word ‘ekklesia’ is a compound word which means ‘to be out on a mission’. Church is Church when it steps out and not when it gathers together. The Church during the time of Apostles met weekly on Sundays mainly to give unto the people of the Church, they gathered regularly to study the Word, worship, fellowship (encourage each other) and forgive each other more than they gathered to pray. They did not need to pray together unless there was a calamity because God provided them well, they shared and they were satisfied.
Let us understand Church, let us be Church while we are outside that place of gathering. Let us seek the glory of Christ amongst the people and not in a structure.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord make us to be part of You and be the light in the darkness. Lord we pray we try to shine your light and not our own light. We pray we be Church more than seek to be in church, so that your glory shine in the Church...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Colossians 1:16-18
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:
17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.
18 And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all [things] he might have the preeminence.
Matthew 28:18-20
18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.
Acts 2:41-47
41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added [unto them] about three thousand souls.
42 And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
44 And all that believed were together, and had all things common;
45 And sold their possessions and goods, and parted them to all [men], as every man had need.
46 And they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.

Drinketh in the rain and bringeth forth herbs
Hebrews 6:7-9 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God: But that which beareth thorns and briers [is] rejected, and [is] nigh unto cursing; whose end [is] to be burned. But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.
Rain in the Bible has two meanings (symbolism) one is mercy and other wrath. The ‘former rain’ is symbolized as mercy (scarce rain/mercy), later rain as grace (sufficient rain/mercy), coming to wrath, rain which causes floods, destruction and loss to life is also shown as wrath of God.
In today’s message we find Paul putting rain as mercy for he mentions along with another blessing of herbs (small plants like vegetables and medical plants) which blesses man with nourishment and healing. But in all this provision the Lord expects us not to have thorns and briers (thistles), if found will be destroyed and will not receive salvation.
Thorns in work symbolize problems as was the curse on man in Genesis 3 along with thistles which symbolize losses. But in today’s verse being associated with life thorns would symbolize errors or sins and thistles as loss in productivity.
In other religions we see to seek God they try to go into isolation and far from civilization, but in Christianity it is the opposite, we are told to seek God amongst the people. We are told to edify the people and by serving them to find God. This edification does not mean just social edification (physical needs) but more spiritual edification (leading them to the truth). And while doing this we are called to strengthen our walk in the Lord, following His ways.
Locking oneself or keeping oneself far from people even if is to pray for them is not going to get us to Heaven. We are called to serve them that means to step out or connect with them.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord have created man for a purpose of being a light in the darkness to as overcome the darkness. Lord we are fooled to think being a light amongst other lights is going to get us to You. We pray we are not found with thorns and thistles on the Day of Judgment but with Fruit...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Matthew 16:24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
Matthew 5:14-16
14 Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.
15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Was Melchisedec a Priest?
Hebrews 6: 20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, [even] Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
We know it was through Abraham the promised generations were called unto the Lord and it was through Moses that the priestly system was introduced. No doubt after Noah people did know God and worship Him but the sacrifice system was not known and thus there was no question of a priestly system existing. The duty of a Priest is to make sacrificial offerings to the Lord and broker peace between man (sacrifice offered for) and God. After the sacrificial system was explained through Moses were Priests appointed and Aaron was the first amongst them. So by what angle was King Melchisedec a Priest?
Secondly we need to understand the Romans also did not have a king system, they followed a senate / council system. The Senate was the governing and advisory assembly of the aristocracy in the ancient Roman Republic. It was not an elected body, but one whose members were appointed by the consuls (highest ranking officials from the armed forces and public services - magistrates), and later by the censors. Therefore the Greek term basileus - ‘king’ used here did not mean actual king but used for a prince or leader of the people it comes from the root word sole of the foot. The term king in Greek occurs only twice that too as a name of a person (Melchi - my king)
Another factor we need to note is Jesus as man was not called the King of Peace but called Prince of Peace. Even in Revelations we find Him addressed as Prince/Chief of Princes (us) which is mistranslated as King of Kings in some translations. It is the Lord (not man) who alone is King. We can say Jesus as Christ as King but Jesus as man as Prince, thus on Judgment Day He comes as arch (chief) or leader of those saints transformed as Angels.
Melchisedec did bring bread and wine (grape juice) which was the standard food for the people and this should be equated to the emblems Lord Table, the bread which King Melchisedec bought was not matstsah (unleavened bread) one used at the Lord’s Table.
King Melchisedec was not without father, without mother, without beginning, without end, a Priest forever and Son of God. It is only when we actually translate his name which means King of Righteousness (symbolizing the Lord) we will understand whom it refers to. Abram did not give his tithe to a man but gave to the Lord, the man simply received it in His name.
About 2 months back when I had sent a message on this same matter, someone in one of the FB groups made a comment, ‘was Melchisedec Abraham’s Pastor to receive the tithe’?
Abram tithed Abraham did not. Children of Jacob, children of Israel did tithe, but Israel did not. Those who are led by the Lord do not give just 10% but as the Lord leads, that is why NT does not talk much on it. Are we of Abram or of Abraham? Children (spiritual) tithe those led by the Lord do as the Lord leads.
We are called to be Heavenly Priests according to the order of the Lord and not earthly Priest according to the order of Aaron.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are eternal and only in You is eternal life. We are called to live eternal in You, that is why only in Heaven can we have access to eternal life for the Tree/River of Life comes from You.
Lord we pray we so not seek an earthly Priesthood which is temporary but a Heavenly Priesthood that is eternal...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

"Our God is a consuming fire." Hebrews 12:29
Chaff and stubble cannot stand before that God, who is a consuming fire. Oh, how will the ungodly tremble and quake when the whole frame of heaven and earth shall break in pieces, and be set in a flame about their ears! Oh . . .
what trouble of mind,
what horror and terror of conscience,
what weeping and wailing,
what crying and roaring,
what wringing of hands,
what tearing of hair, and
what gnashing of teeth,
will there be among the ungodly in this day--when they shall see their sins charged upon them on the one side--and divine justice terrifying them on the other side!
When they shall look upward, and there see an angry God frowning upon them;
and look downward, and there see Hell gaping ready to receive them;
and look inward, and there find conscience accusing and gnawing of them!
When they shall look on their right hand, and there behold the holy angels standing with so many flaming swords to keep them out of Heaven; and look on their left hand, and there behold the devil and his demons ready to drag them down to the lowest Hell! Oh, now how will they wish for the rocks to fall upon them, and the mountains to cover them! How will they wish that they had never been born; or that they might now be unborn! How will they now wish that their immortal souls were mortal; or that they might be turned into beasts, birds, stones, trees, or air--or anything rather than what they are!
Alas! what heart is able to conceive, or what tongue is able to express--the fear and dread, the horror and terror, the astonishment and amazement, which will fall upon all ungodly people in that day!
"For God did not appoint us to suffer wrath, but to receive salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Thessalonians 5:9
They met to give
1 Corinthians 16: 2 Upon the first [day] of the week let every one of you lay by him in store, as [God] hath prospered him, that there be no gatherings when I come.
Ask any person who is not a Christian to describe a Christian and the most probable thing they will first say is ‘Christians on Sundays go to Church to pray’.
We see Christians during the time of the Apostles did gather on Sundays not primarily to pray but to give their weekly givings to the Church. Gathering was not a weekly program but almost a regular, daily program. When we read Acts 2:42 it points to the priority of their gathering and that is learning the Word, having fellowship (encouraging each other), breaking of bread (asking forgiveness) and lastly for prayers. Prayers was not their first priority as we see in today’s gatherings but growing in the Word of God was.
Today we have become a self-centric people always putting our wants and needs first. God is all about receiving and using for our own desires. How many times have we come before God simply to worship Him and not to beg things out of Him? How many times have we realized He is God and already knows what we need or suffer?
I am not saying we should not pray but do not make God an object to receive, there are other things like knowing Him, worshiping Him, building our relationship with Him which are more important and should be of higher priority over prayers.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Omnipotent and Omnipresent. Nothing is hidden form You. You know our thoughts even before the words come out of our mouths. Lord we pray let not our prayer meetings be not all about asking but more of worshiping and knowing You. Let prayer be a lifestyle and not a habit...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Who Blaspheme God?
1 Timothy 1: 20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
When we look at terms like ‘false prophet’ that person cannot be a person who does not know God and not having a Calling in his or her life. To misrepresent one needs to be a representative or at least knowing what or whom they are trying to misrepresent.
Similarly in today’s scripture the people who are accused of blaspheming God were not people ignorant of who God is. These people were Believers.
The worse haters of God are not those who do not know Him but those who know Him yet turned away for Him for various reasons. In fact the person who heads the evil ministry is none other than one who was closest to Him, but greed triggered his backsliding and bought about darkness.
Let us be aware the worse haters of God are not those outside the Church but those within. They for their personal reason or madness would go to any extend of destroying souls without not blinking an eyelid..
It is time we identify these wolves in sheep clothing and distant them from the Church. Paul said if we do not judge them who are within then how we can qualify for the great things in Heaven of judging Angels.
Judging does mean we condemn them to Hell for that is a judgment only the Son of God as man on Judgment Day can take, what we do is to take steps to correct them. Here we see Paul handed them to Satan means disconnected the protection extended to them in other words declared them Heathen (outsider), by doing this they we open for suffering in the flesh and possible realization.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are awesome God. You are Merciful God. When elements of your Heavenly creation rebelled against your ways You immediately did not punish them but set a due time for them. Knowing that they will not repent of their ways You created mere man to bring sense to others. Lord we pray we do not harden our hearts and become an enemy of the Living God...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Matthew 8:29 And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with thee, thou Son of God? art thou come hither to torment us before the time?
2 Peter 2:4 For if God spared not angels when they sinned, but cast them down to hell, and committed them to pits of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;
Jude 1:6 And angels that kept not their own principality, but left their proper habitation, he hath kept in everlasting bonds under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.
1 Corinthians 5: 9-13
9 I wrote unto you in my epistle to have no company with fornicators;
10 not at all [meaning] with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and extortioners, or with idolaters; for then must ye needs go out of the world:
11 but as it is, I wrote unto you not to keep company, if any man that is named a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such a one no, not to eat.
12 For what have I to do with judging them that are without? Do not ye judge them that are within?

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Law for the lawless
1 Timothy 1: 9,10 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
We have many scriptures about how God gave the law for the sinners of various types of sins. But in today’s scriptures we find a unique way Paul has put the various categories; how he has grouped them.
Lawless [without rule] and disobedient [against rule]
Ungodly [not worshipping god] and sinners [err]
Unholy [corrupted] and profane [common]
Father killers [destroyer of their generators] and mother killers [destroyers of their comforters]
Then he puts manslayers, whoremongers, they who defile themselves with mankind, menstealers, liars and perjured persons as miscellaneous category.
What is very interesting is if we take the antonym (opposite meaning) of the four groupings without breaking their priority they give a new dimension or understanding to us.
If we truly know the law we will not break it.
If we truly worship God we will not sin.
If we seek incorruption we will not be common.
If we love our Creator [whom our fathers represent] we will surely love our Comforter [whom our mothers represent].
What is also interesting is the other way of approach is not necessarily successful
We cannot try to not break the law if we do not know it.
We cannot avoid sin if we do not truly worship God.
We cannot be uncommon without seeking incorruption.
We cannot love the Creator by just loving the Comforter.
I found some of these (in fact all most all) truly profound and deep if we really understand it.
Let these facts get written in us and remind us every day. Let us know His Law, worship God, seek incorruption and love our Creator.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Holy and You alone are Holy. We pray we truly worship You so as to battle sin, we truly seek your Law and wholeness in You, may our love for You grow day by day. We pray these transform us to Sons and inheritors of your Kingdom...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
Romans 3:19 Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it speaketh to them that are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God:
John 4:24 God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
1 Peter 1:23 having been begotten again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, through the word of God, which liveth and abideth.
John 8:42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I came forth and am come from God; for neither have I come of myself, but he sent me.
1 John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Untamable Beast
James 3:7,8 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: But the tongue can no man tame; [it is] an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.
We have seen even the worse like of animals if removed from their normal habitat and put in a domesticated habitat they forget the natural behavior and take on a domesticated nature. Tigers, lions, bears, elephants, snakes, crocodiles, gorillas name them and they can domesticated to a large percentage.
With this pandemic I was surprised to know the large scale in which China runs poultry not of just chickens or birds but even wild animals like tigers, bears, snakes, raccoons, bats etc. for the exotic meat market that runs on superstitious beliefs such as eating some animals parts increases fertility or works as an aphrodisiac.
People think fights are cause due to wrong or misplaced words but do not understand 38% of the fights are due to tone of voice. It is not just what we say but also how we say it can break or damage relationships.
In today’s message the Lord is telling us it is easier to tame any animal or beast of this earth but more difficult to tame the tongue. It does not refer to just the organ in our mouth but our communication as a whole. We may be on a chat or on FB posting comments and can hurt people by what we type (say).
Today the Lord is telling us as humans we cannot tame our communication be it verbal or nonverbal, we need the help of the Holy Spirit. By ourselves we cannot control this untamable beast but with His help we can and for that we need to be in Christ (putting on the nature of Christ), scripture says ‘in Christ I can do all things’, not by ‘believing in Christ’ (Philippians 4:13 the word is mistranslated as ‘through’).
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You are Father and You alone are our spirit Father. Lord You gave us communication as a means to cohabitate and build each other. You Word is life and we pray we too speak words of life and not of darkness and death. We pray our every kind of communication be to edify people and ourselves, not to destroy...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
[Reference Scriptures]
James 3:6 And the tongue [is] a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

Psalms 59:7 Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords [are] in their lips: for who, [say they], doth hear?
Psalms 140:3 They have sharpened their tongues like a serpent; adders’ poison [is] under their lips. Selah.

Re: R.D SOUZA Saved by faith
Paul the knowable too faced challenges
2 Timothy 4:14-16 Alexander the coppersmith did me much evil: the Lord reward him according to his works: Of whom be thou ware also; for he hath greatly withstood our words. At my first answer no man stood with me, but all [men] forsook me: [I pray God] that it may not be laid to their charge.
Being into Apologetics, in our groups often we used to have internal debates on topics and at times one brother would throw a question which would derail the other’s thought process or understanding of scriptures because all came from different Churches with different foundations. There were some who did not believe in the workings of the gifts of the Holy Spirit (a somewhat Catholic belief), thus they neither laid hands to heal, speak in Tongues nor did prophecy.
There was one time I remember I got into a hot debate and a bother tried to put me in a fix but thankfully the same night in a vision the Lord attended to that and I was not too shaken up. Although I knew the answer I did not bother to revert immediately since one should speak to a person who wants to listen and not to a deaf person.
People think it is a big problem to answer those who do not believe in God like Atheist or even an Agnostic, or those who believe in some other god like a Muslim, Zoroastrians, or many gods like Hindus, Confucianism, or religions which are confused as to having or not having a God/gods like Jainism, Buddhism etc... The biggest problem is not debating (in a good way as to understand) with these but debating with those within ‘Christianity’, people who call themselves ‘Christians’ but deny the truth. These people know about God, about Jesus and about scriptures but fail to know God, know Jesus and know true revelation of scriptures. The mere fact that one can hardly find any Apologist even amongst top names who performed or performs healing by laying hands or did any deliverance, shows the state of our knowledgeable experts. On the other hand those who do are those merely operating in Gifts and having no good understanding of scriptures.
In today’s message we find Paul struggled to respond to a person named Alexander the coppersmith. He was a Greek by origin and later accepted Christianity. This person along with Hymenaeus became great challenges to even Paul the person most admired for his knowledge and understanding of scriptures. Paul initially gave up in person and let the Lord bring them to senses. He said in his first letter to Timoty that he handed them over to Satan, not that Paul had any deal with Satan but Paul took away the hand of protection extended over them so that they would learn by suffering in the flesh. But in this second letter Paul seems to have addressed Alexander with help of the Lord even though others present there did not support him initially.
We all need to be-aware Satan works in the Churches more than he does outside it.
Our knowledge and understanding of the Bible will not be challenged by people outside the Church as much it will be challenged by people within the Church. You will be shocked at the various shades and colors of Christianity that exist only because people do not study the Bible themselves with the help of the Holy Spirit but do so through the eyes of others humans.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are gentle in Spirit and not associated with confusion. Most Christians are drowning in confusion because they are led by other humans and not by your Spirit. Lord we pray Christians stop worshipping other ‘Christians’ and seek only You. We pray they have a clear understanding and boldness in You...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

1 Timothy 1:20 Of whom is Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they may learn not to blaspheme.
2 Timothy 4:17-18
17 Notwithstanding the Lord stood with me, and strengthened me; that by me the preaching might be fully known, and [that] all the Gentiles might hear: and I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.
18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve [me] unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom [be] glory for ever and ever. Amen.

Battling Storms
Acts 27:15 And when the ship was caught, and could not bear up into the wind, we let [her] drive.
Men who spend most of their life in sea are the people who will understand this scripture and not a theologian. If you read Bible commentaries you will find notes of hopelessness but for a sailor it is the smartest thing to do, a verse of hope.
When there is a raging storm, very difficult to fight with a sail ship the captain does not try to go against the wind else his ship will break the ship, so the best thing for him to do is let the wind drive it keeping the ship face pointing against the waves not with their backs to it, only thing he will fear is the difficulty to stir it from rocks if near land, therefore it is safer to be in the middle of the sea during a storm than near land.
In spiritual life this is the same situation. When we are caught in a storm of temptation trying to stir the ship against it is like fighting temptation in the flesh. If the storm is great it will just break the person fighting it, for this reason Bible does not tell us those growing spiritually, to fight temptation but flee from it, it advices us to avoid the storm not fight it. Also incase caught in it, it is better to have no materialist desires for they are like rocks which will just crush us.
Those who are mature are not sail ships but those having engines making it easier to go against storms. Also those who are famous (public figures) are like large ships, for them too it is difficult to go against the storm even if they have an engine, they too need to flee temptation and not fight it.
[Prayer Starter]
Lord You are Almighty God. You Lord are Spirit, You made us spirit beings but put us in the flesh so that we overcome the flesh and its desires. You know only when we are led in the spirit and strong in spirit will be able to over the flesh easily, thus asked us to flee temptations while growing in spirit. Lord we pray we know our spiritual state, know when to fight and when to flee...
This prayer we make in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

1 Corinthians 6:18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
1 Corinthians 10:14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.
