DO NOT SIN
"Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your wrath." [Ephesians 4. 26]

Many times a CHRISTian is rightly angered by some circumstance or unkind word and thereby is tempted to retaliate. However, for the CHRIST-like-one, such a reaction is sin. More wisely, we would get control of our anger before the sun sets. We are not to let our anger continue until it develops into sinful actions.

The OLD COVENANT commands were the same: "Tremble and sin no more; ponder it on your bed, sigh and be still." [Psalms (Tehillym) 4. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] When angered, it is much better to wait and talk with the ALMIGHTY ONE about it in your bed rather then react in the streets, or at home against those who have infuriated us.

The LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA alone is our PERFECT EXAMPLE "WHO, when HE was reviled, did not revile in return; when HE suffered, HE did not threaten, but committed HIMSELF to HIM WHO judges righteously." [1 Peter 2. 23]

This is often one of the most difficult areas to overcome in the believers life. James says, "No man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our GOD and FATHER, and with it we curse men who have been made in the similitude of GOD. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so." [James 3. 8 - 10] When we are cursed, we should, on the contrary, return a blessing, "knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing." [1 Peter 3. 9] What man cannot tame, GOD CAN!

"So then, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of GOD." [James 1. 19 - 20] "The end of a matter is better than the beginning of it. Better a patient spirit than a haughty spirit. Don't let your spirit be quickly exasperated, for exasperation abides in the breasts of fools." [Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) 7. 8 - 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. Beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written: Vengeance is MINE; I will repay — says the LORD." [Romans 12. 18 - 19] We must deliberately strive for peace, "Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good." [Romans 12. 21] Remember, "anger in a house is like a worm in a plant." [TALMUD] And, the greater blesses the lesser!

Much experience is the crown of the old men and the fear of GOD ALMIGHTY is their glory.

INFINITELY GOD
"And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying — Blessing and honour and glory and power be to HIM WHO sits on the Throne, and to the LAMB, forever and ever! Amen" [Revelation 5. 13]

The BELOVED LAMB is one with, and yet distinct from "HIM that sat on the throne." [Revelation 4. 10; 5. 1, 6 - 7] The Four Beasts or Living Creatures, and the 24-Elders "fell down before the LAMB" to worship HIM. If, as cultists maintain, the ANOINTED LAMB OF GOD is less than the OMNIPOTENT CREATOR, how would violating of the first commandment, "You shall have no other gods before ME" [Exodus/Shemot 20. 3] be tolerated in ALMIGHTY GOD'S OMNIPOTENT PRESENCE? The answer: Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH is the INVINCIBLE, SUPREME GOD OF HEAVEN — WHO is ONE with HIM (GOD THE FATHER) WHO sat on the Throne!

Worship is given to GOD THE FATHER: "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom, thanksgiving and honor and power and might, be to our GOD forever and ever. Amen" [Revelation 7. 12]

Worship is given to GOD THE SON: MESSIAH Y’SHUA receives the same praise given to GOD THE FATHER — "Worthy is the LAMB WHO was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory and blessing!" [Revelation 5. 12]


"I am YEHOWAH (the LORD), that is MY NAME; and I will not yield MY glory to another." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 42. 8 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "For MY sake, MY OWN sake, do I act — lest MY NAME be dishonored! I will not give MY glory to another." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 48. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im] In view of the fact that the LORD JESUS shares in GOD'S glory; HE cannot be another GOD. The LORD Y’SHUA is, as HE said — "ONE (Hebrew: echad — a compound unity) with the FATHER." [John 10. 30]

This does not, in any way, diminish the praise and honor due the FATHER. HE is to be worshipped and praised for loving us so very much that HE commissioned the SON (MESSIAH Y’SHUA) to save sinners. The SON (JESUS) said — "all men should honor the SON, even as they honor the FATHER." [John 5. 23] The SON is to be exalted above angels — "For to which of the angels did HE ever say: "You are MY SON, today I have begotten you"? And again: "I will be to HIM a FATHER, And He shall be to ME a SON"? But when HE again brings the firstborn into the world, HE says: "Let all the angels of GOD worship HIM." [Hebrews 1. 5 - 6]

The human personality is difficult to understand, much less the complex intricacy of GOD ALMIGHTY being infinitely more so. The TRI-UNITY OF GOD is so revealed throughout HOLY SCRIPTURES as the EVER-LIVING ONE proclaims HIMSELF as GOD THE FATHER, GOD THE SON and GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT — PERFECT TRINITY.

Six Strategies for Spiritual Growth 1- Give others the benefit of a doubt and don’t judge them for their weakness. Practice kindness even if you don’t feel like it. 2- Every day has a purpose whether you’re working or on vacation. Keep your goal and make each day count. 3 - Pray at least three times a day. You start your day saying “thanks”. You stop in the middle to recognize the Source of your blessings, and you think about all your gifts before going to bed. 4 - King Solomon said: “A righteous person falls seven times and gets up.” Don’t let the fear of failure get in the way. Keep trying, the effort itself is more than significant. 5 - Thru practice, you channel the material things for a higher purpose. Such as blessings over food transforms eating into a spiritual act. 6 - Honoring the Sabbath gives our soul the chance to strengthen and grow by granting us this precious recovery time each week.
It has been shown that all might know that the LORD, HE is GOD, there is none other. HE alone does wonders, for HIS mercy endures forever. The glory of the LORD is eternal, the LORD rejoices in HIS works. Blessed be the NAME OF THE LORD from this time forth and forever; for out of Zion goes forth the Law and the WORD OF GOD from Jerusalem.

Knowledge is what you remember after you forgot everything you learned.

PROPHECY SPEAKS
"I will raise up for them a PROPHET for them from among their own people, like yourself; I will put MY words in HIS mouth and HE will speak to them all that I command HIM." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 18. 18 Tanakh, Torah]

There are two types of prophecy which must be distinguished. When a prophet foretells (predicts), he represents the future in light of the present. When the prophet tells-forth, the message is for rebuking, reproving, counseling, or admonishing. One tells the present in light of the future, while the fore-telling is for a time to come.

So, it is the predictive type of prophecy that provides such a strong argument for faith based on reason. Neither human intuition about the future nor limited Satanic control of the future can account for the hundreds of specific BIBLICAL prophecies that have been literally and specifically fulfilled. These could only come by DIVINE revelation from the HOLY ONE WHO knows and controls the future.

Predictive prophecy provides an infallible defense, as it not only proves the DIVINE origin, inspiration, and authority of SCRIPTURE, but since over half of the prophecies converge on the PERSON and work of the LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH, it endorses and supports both HIS deity and LORD-ship. One cannot honestly and truthfully read Psalms 22 and Isaiah 52:13, 52:12 without recognizing that these are prophetic portraits of MESSIAH on the cross. Numerous other texts specifically deal with various aspects of YESHUA’S life, characteristics, segments and phases of HIS perfect life and ministry.

The coming Kingdom that MESSIAH will set up is detailed in other prophecies, in which we as believers will have a part. With so many prophecies accurately fulfilled already, we can have complete confidence that all the other promises will also come to pass, and that very soon. How very amazingly wonderful to know that "we are children of GOD; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when HE is revealed, we shall be like HIM, for we shall see HIM as HE is. And everyone who has this hope in HIM purifies himself, just as HE is pure." [1 John 3. 2 - 3]

These things were written "to you who believe in the NAME of the SON OF GOD, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the NAME of the SON OF GOD." [1 John 5. 13] You have to believe it to receive it!

The rest of love freely given — a rest of truth and sincerity — a rest in peace and tranquility, in quiet and safety — a perfect rest in which you find favor. We bow the head and bend the knee and magnify the KING of kings, the HOLY ONE, praised be HE. MOST HOLY ONE, YOU are blessed beyond all hymns, praises and consolations that may be uttered in this world. Amen! For compassion to be fully realized, it needs bonding. It requires creating a channel between giver and receiver; a mutuality that extends beyond the moment of need. A bond that continues to live on. That is the most gratifying result of true compassion. Befriend the one you have compassion for, ensure that something eternal is built as a result of your compassion. When things around you appear dark and terrifying, hold on to the promises of the LORD GOD. HE is in complete control. "The ROCK! — HIS deeds are perfect. Yes! all HIS ways are just; a FAITHFUL GOD, never false, true and just is HE." Deuteronomy/Devarim 32:4
Have a peaceful, enriching day with the deliberate intention of blessing someone else.

A person who aims at nothing has a target he cannot miss.

HYSSOP
"Purge me with hyssop till I am pure; wash me till I am whiter than snow." [Psalms (Tehillym) 51. 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Hyssop is the plant that penicillin was first found in. HOLY SCRIPTURE speaks of this plant in both the OLD & NEW COVENANTS. The man healed of leprosy was to go the priest "then the priest shall command to take for him who is to be cleansed two living and clean birds, cedar wood, scarlet, and hyssop." [Leviticus (Vayikra) 14. 4 Tanakh, Torah] The priest would kill one bird in a vessel over running water. The living bird, the cedar wood, the scarlet and the hyssop and dip them in the blood of the bird that was killed over the running water. Then, the priest would sprinkle the blood on the leprous man seven times, pronounce him clean, then let the living bird loose in an open field. [Leviticus/Vayikra 14. 1 - 7]

The "Two Clean Birds" depict the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH, WHO is the GOD-MAN. "Cedar" depicts imperishable existence; "Scarlet" — the emblem of life; and "Hyssop" represents purification from defilement. The cedar and hyssop also symbolize types of all nature, from the highest to the lowest. All these symbols picture the death and resurrection of our REDEEMING SAVIOR for "whosoever will" come to HIM.

David's prayer was that the ETERNAL ONE would cleanse him of his sin of murder (of Uriah the Hittite) and adultery (with Uriah's wife, Bathsheba). "Have mercy upon me, O GOD, as befits YOUR loving-kindness and faithfulness — in keeping with YOUR abundant compassion, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly of my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Hide YOUR face from my sins, blot out all my iniquities. Fashion a clean, pure heart for me, O GOD, and renew within me a steadfast spirit." [Psalms (Tehillym) 51. 1 – 2. 9 - 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

On Golgotha's Cross, the LORD JESUS, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the SCRIPTURE might be fulfilled, said —"I thirst!" HE was then given a sour wine on hyssop. When it was put to HIS mouth, all prophecy to the point of HIS death was fulfilled. When Y’SHUA the SACRIFICIAL LAMB OF GOD received the sour wine, HE said — "It is finished!" Then bowing HIS head, Y’SHUA gave up HIS spirit. [John 19. 28 - 30]

Whoever touches death (result of sin) or was unclean must now come to the LORD JESUS for cleansing, HE is ever our CONTINUAL OFFERING. "For GOD so loved the world that HE gave HIS ONLY BEGOTTEN SON, that whoever believes in HIM should not perish but have everlasting life. He who believes in the SON has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the SON shall not see life, but the wrath of GOD abides on him." [John 3. 15 - 16, 36]

Although penicillin can help alleviate or actually eliminate some diseases, it cannot treat or cure us from sin. However, the precious cleansing blood of the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH is the ONLY SOURCE — the PERFECT REMEDY — that will never lose it's cleansing, saving power.

As we bid farewell to Sabbath, our prayer is that GOD, WHO'S PRESENCE dwells within us, bless you abundantly and guard you, our dear ones in the coming week. May some of the sweetness of Sabbath be present throughout each day so they are filled with love and unselfishness — that happiness and contentment may abide in our homes. In tranquil joy of spirit, with pure speech and holy melody exclaim: "Holy, holy, holy is the LORD OF HOSTS, the whole earth is full of HIS glory!"
Have a good week and allow the love of the MASTER to shine forth from your lives, into the dark and dying world.

CHOOSE WISELY
"But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her." [Luke 10. 42]

Both Miryam (Mary) and Martha (Marta), the sisters of Lazarus, loved the LORD Y’SHUA and wanted to please HIM. Y’SHUA also loved them, and was a frequent guest at their home in Bethany. Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made, busying herself in activity and service to be pleasing to the LORD. Mary, on the other hand, was content to sit "at JESUS' feet and heard HIS WORD." [Luke 10. 39] So, Martha approached HIM and said, "LORD, do YOU not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me. And JESUS answered and said to her, Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things, but one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her." [Luke 10. 40 - 41] Clearly, Mary had chosen what was better. And, would it not be just like our WONDERFUL MASTER to have gotten up and helped both women with the meal preparation, after teaching them!

Hundreds of years prior to this setting, the patriarch Job, whom ALMIGHTY GOD had said was "a blameless and upright man who fears GOD and shuns evil…there is no one like him on earth" [Job/Iyob 1. 8], Job had also chosen that good part. "I have not departed from what HIS lips commanded; I have treasured HIS WORDS more than my daily bread." [Job (Iyob) 23. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The only way we can sit at Y’SHUA'S feet and hear HIS WORD today is by reading and meditating on the LIFE-GIVING INSTRUCTIONS. We should make priority time available for this "good part" along with our other daily obligations and responsibilities. Hearing and obeying HIS PRECIOUS COMMAND is vital for our very existence, for "faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the WORD OF GOD." [Romans 10. 17]

Miryam (Mary) had a heart like David: "One thing I ask of YEHOWAH, only that do I seek…to live in the HOUSE OF THE LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty (delightfulness) of YEHOWAH, to frequent HIS Temple." [Psalms (Tehillym) 27. 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The psalmist wrote of this truth he had learned: "Oh, how I love YOUR TEACHING! It is my study all day long...How sweet is YOUR WORD to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Through YOUR precepts I get understanding." [Psalms (Tehillym) 119. 97, 103 - 104 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

We have an even greater, sweeter privilege than Job, or the psalmist, or Miryam (Mary) because we have all the HOLY SCRIPTURES. So, if you truly desire "the best part" the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH will provide the understanding through HIS refreshing precepts. And, "How much better to acquire wisdom than gold; to acquire understanding is preferable to silver." [Proverbs (Mishle) 16. 16 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Listen, learn and receive the greatest riches on earth.

HE WHO keeps Israel neither slumbers or sleeps! Who is like YOU, O LORD GOD? Who is like YOU, glorious in holiness, revered in worship, wondrous in works? There is none! Infinite is YOUR power, so is YOUR love. The LORD'S promise to HIS Jewish people: "As you behold, you will glow; your heart will throb and thrill — for the abundance of the sea shall be turned to you and the riches of nations shall flow to you. Whereas you have been forsaken, rejected and hated, with none passing through, I will make you a pride everlasting, a joy for age after age." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 60. 5, 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

ASK WHAT YOU WILL
"ELOHIYM appeared to Solomon and said to him: Ask, what shall I grant you? Solomon answered — YOU dealt most graciously with my father David, and now You have made me king in his stead. Now, LORD GOD, let YOUR promise to my father David be fulfilled; for YOU have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth. Grant me then the wisdom and knowledge to lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of YOURS?" [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 1. 7 - 10 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Solomon is the only man recorded in HOLY SCRIPTURE that OMNIPOTENT GOD gave the opportunity to choose or ask for his heart's desires. The HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL knew Solomon's heart, that he would want wisdom, knowledge and understanding so he could reign over the Israelite peoples and influence them in a GOD-fearing supremacy.

The LOVING CREATOR was pleased that Solomon had asked for this. And ALMIGHTY GOD said to him, "Because you asked for this — you did not ask for long life, you did not ask for riches, you did not ask for the life of your enemies, but you asked for discernment in dispensing justice — I now do as you have spoken. I grant you a wise and discerning mind; there has never been anyone like you before, nor will anyone like you arise. And I also grant you what you did not ask for — both riches and glory all your life — the like of which no king has ever had. And I will further grant you long life, IF you will walk in My ways and observe MY Laws and commandments, as did your father David." [1 Kings (Melakhim Alef) 3. 10 - 14 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Many people quote Scripture to test the HOLY GOD OF HEAVEN, and they are usually asking for their own self embellishment (exaggeration, elaboration, amplification). However, when we allow the LORD OF GLORY to prepare our heart, HE hears our prayer and will gladly give us HIS HOLY SPIRIT. "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire realized is a Tree of Life." [Proverbs (Mishle) 13. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] When the desire of our heart is HIS command, our life is marvelous and indescribably joyous, even in adversities. We are confident that all comes from HIS precious hands, and HE is always with us.

The LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH taught, "in that day you will ask ME nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the FATHER in MY NAME HE will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in MY NAME. Ask! and you will receive, that your joy may be full." [John 16. 23 - 24] If we ask according to the will of the GOD OF OUR SALVATION, we would be asking for the HOLY SPIRIT, for HIS wisdom, discernment, courage and protection. "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly FATHER give the HOLY SPIRIT to those who ask HIM!" [Luke 11. 13]

"Delight yourself in the favor of the LORD, and HE will grant you the desires of your heart. Leave all your way to the LORD; trust in HIM; and HE will do it." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 4 - 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The desire of my heart is to be like my LORD & SAVIOR, MESSIAH Y’SHUA! How about you? We need the HOLY SPIRIT to accomplish this.

Help us, O our GOD, to banish from our hearts all pride and vain-glory, all confidence in worldly possessions, all self-sufficient leaning upon our own reason. May we never forget that all we have and prize is but lent to us, a trust for which we must render account to YOU. O HEAVENLY FATHER , put into our hearts the love and fear of YOU, that we may consecrate our lives to YOUR service and glorify YOUR NAME in the eyes of all men.

Many people quote SCRIPTURE to test the HOLY GOD OF HEAVEN, and they are usually asking for their own self embellishment (exaggeration, elaboration, amplification). However, when we allow the LORD OF GLORY to prepare our heart, HE hears our prayer and will gladly give us HIS HOLY SPIRIT. "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but desire realized is a Tree of Life." [Proverbs (Mishle) 13. 12 Tanakh, Kethuvim] When the desire of our heart is HIS command, our life is marvelous and indescribably joyous, even in adversities. We are confident that all comes from HIS precious hands, and HE is always with us.

The LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH taught, "in that day you will ask ME nothing. Most assuredly, I say to you, whatever you ask the FATHER in MY NAME HE will give you. Until now you have asked nothing in MY NAME. Ask! and you will receive, that your joy may be full." [John 16. 23 - 24] If we ask according to the will of the GOD OF OUR SALVATION, we would be asking for the HOLY SPIRIT, for HIS wisdom, discernment, courage and protection. "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly FATHER give the HOLY SPIRIT to those who ask HIM!" [Luke 11. 13]

"Delight yourself in the favor of the LORD, and HE will grant you the desires of your heart. Leave all your way to the LORD; trust in HIM; and HE will do it." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 4 - 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The desire of my heart is to be like my LORD & SAVIOR, MESSIAH Y’SHUA! How about you? We need the HOLY SPIRIT to accomplish this.

THREE TABERNACLES
"Exactly as I show you — the pattern of the Tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings — so shall you make it." [Exodus (Shemot) 25. 9 Tanakh, Torah]

This is the first mention of the Tabernacle wherein the religious life of Israel was centered during their time of wandering in the desert. All the details of its design, construction, and service occupy thirteen chapters in Exodus/Shemot — more times then any other item in HOLY WRIT. These details provide a wealth of typological intimations of the person and work of the LORD Y’SHUA ha’MASHIACH.

However, this Tabernacle was based on the pattern of "the TRUE TABERNACLE which the LORD erected, and not man." [Hebrews 8. 2] "But MESSIAH came as HIGH PRIEST...the greater and more perfect TABERNACLE...entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption." [Hebrews 9. 11 - 12] There is a Heavenly Tabernacle where the ALL-TOGETHER LOVELY ONE now dwells, and the furnishings and service of the earthly tabernacle where mere "copies of the things in the heavens." [Hebrews 9. 23] "Y’SHUA has not entered the holy places made with hands, which are copies of the True, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of GOD for us." [Hebrews 9. 24 - 25]

Even as promised in the OLD COVENANT, "I will set MY TABERNACLE among you...I will walk among you and be your GOD, and you shall be MY people." [Leviticus/Vayikra 26. 11 - 12] The REDEEMER OF ISRAEL also came to earth, entering as the third TABERNACLE. "And the WORD became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld HIS glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the FATHER, full of grace and truth." [John 1. 14] In the Greek, the word skeenoo translated “dwelt” it actually means "tabernacle, to tent, encamp, occupy, reside (symbolic of protection and communion)" — thus the human body that Y’SHUA had became GOD’S TABERNACLE, and HE will dwell there forever. Although that body died, it was raised incorruptible, immortal, eternal...yet still it is a physical body, merely one that will never die again.

Finally, we have MESSIAH’S glorious assurance in the last book of the NEW COVENANT, that in this TABERNACLE, HE will dwell among us eternally. "Behold, the TABERNACLE OF GOD is with men, and HE will dwell with them, and they shall be HIS people. GOD HIMSELF will be with them and be their GOD." [Revelation 21. 3 - 4] It just keeps getting better and better for the saints of all ages! HalleluYAH!

We bid farewell to Shabbat with the Havdallah Service. Havdallah (separation) is the ceremony that marks the symbolic end of the holy day of Shabbat and ushers in a new week. The ceremony, consisting of lighting the special candle, blessing the wine, and smelling the spices, is intended to require a person to use all five senses taste the wine, smell the spices, see the flames of the candle and feel its warmth, and hear the blessings. After the ceremony, it is customary to say together: “Thus we celebrate the LORD GOD OF ISRAEL WHO separates the sacred from the mundane and forgives our sins. May it be YOUR will, O LORD, that our home becomes a sanctuary worthy of YOUR PRESENCE, wherein YOUR HOLY NAME is hallowed, that YOU come and grant YOUR blessings on us! Amen”
Praised is YOUR HOLY NAME, O LORD GOD. YOU have made YOUR eternal law our portion, and gave us a goodly heritage. YOU appointed us to proclaim YOUR truth to the nations and to win them for YOUR Law of Righteousness. Sanctify us for the service to which YOU called us, O HEAVENLY FATHER, that YOUR NAME may be hallowed through us in all the world. MAGNIFIED MERCY
"Oh no, my lord! Your servant has found favor in your sight, and you have increased your mercy which you have shown me by saving my life; but I cannot flee to the hills, lest the disaster overtake me and I die." [Genesis (Bereshith) 19. 19 Tanakh, Torah]

This audacious and impudent plea of Lot, son of Haran (Abraham's brother), to the angels who had spared his life when they called down fire from heaven to destroy Sodom and Gomorrah, contains the first reference in HOLY SCRIPTURE to the mercy (Hebrew: checed) of GOD ALMIGHTY. Though Lot was a righteous man, he had a selfish, unregenerate attitude. Nevertheless, the MOST HIGH GOD not only showed HIS grace in dealings with Lot, but even magnified HIS mercy, love and great kindness to him.

This first mentioning of mercy therefore lays the foundation for the ruling theme of the doctrine of CREATOR GOD'S checed throughout the WRITTEN WORD. The mercy of our LOVING GOD can only be properly described as being exceptionally excellent, and this fact is repeatedly confirmed throughout HOLY SCRIPTURE.

David said — "The LORD'S steadfast checed (mercy) is from everlasting to everlasting, for all eternity toward those who fear HIM, and HIS beneficence (Hebrew: tsedaqah – righteous, justice, charity) is for the children's children of those who keep HIS covenant and remember to observe HIS precepts." [Psalms (Tehillym) 103. 17 - 18 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is HIS mercy toward those who fear Him." [Psalms (Tehillym) 103. 11 Tanakh, Kethuvim] The mercy of our LOVING LORD GOD is unlimited, measureless, eternal and infinite; and HIS compassion never fails. Nothing could ever be more marvelously magnificent than this!

The Apostle Paul said of the HOLY ONE, HE is "rich in mercy, because of HIS great love with which HE loved us." [Ephesians 2. 4] Peter even spoke of "His abundant mercy has begotten us again into a lively hope through the resurrection of MESSIAH Y’SHUA from the dead." [1 Peter 1. 3]

It is only "according to HIS great mercy HE saved us not by works of righteousness which we have done." [Titus 3. 5] We can say as King David did, "Only goodness, mercy and steadfast love will pursue me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the HOUSE OF THE LORD forever." [Psalms (Tehillym) 23. 6 Tanakh, Kethuvim] How very grateful we should be to the ETERNAL, GREAT & MIGHTY GOD for HIS everlasting mercy!

Endure the truth, though it be bitter.

CUSTOMS — BAR MITZVAH
The Jewish boy looks forward to his thirteenth birthday as one of the most important events in his life. It symbolizes the beginning of maturity for him. When the boy reaches Bar Mitzvah (Son of Commandment) age, he is not only old enough to enjoy the ceremony but also to appreciate its importance to himself, to his family and friends, and to his people.

It is believed by Jews that up to the thirteenth year, the father bears the sins of his son. After that the boy must account for his good or evil actions. The father therefore, recites the following benediction at the Bar Mitzvah ceremony: "Blessed are YOU, our GOD, KING OF THE UNIVERSE, WHO has relieved me from punishment for this one (the son)."

Many months before this great occasion, the son is taught at the synagogue how to wear the phylacteries and prayer shawl. He is taught his various prayers in Hebrew, his religious duties, the HAFTORAH (a term applied to the passages from the Books of the Prophets — NEVI'IM), after the reading from the TORAH — Books of Moses) and blessings, and how to write and memorize a speech in Hebrew. The young man is now accepted as one of ten necessary for a Minyan (ten adult men—without whom services cannot be conducted in the synagogue). He is also entitled to be called on to read the TORAH in the public services.

This Bar Mitzvah ceremony is celebrated in the synagogue and in the home. Relatives and friends come to the synagogue to hear the boy chant the HAFTORAH and deliver the oration. The Rabbi talks to him and blesses him. After the service, the whole congregation is invited by the family to the vestry rooms for refreshments. The boy receives gifts and congratulations from everyone. He is now considered a man who is responsible for his own sins.

The following prayer is in use in English Sephardic Congregations on the occasion of a lad reaching the age of thirteen — his religious majority: "O my GOD, and GOD of my fathers, on this solemn and sacred day, which marks my passage from boyhood to manhood, I humbly raise my eyes to YOU and declare with sincerity and truth that henceforth I will observe YOUR commandments, and undertake to bear the responsibility of all my actions towards YOU. In my earliest infancy I was brought within YOUR SACRED COVENANT with Israel, and today I again enter as an active responsible member, the pale of YOUR elect congregation, in the midst of which I will never cease to glorify YOUR HOLY NAME in the face of all nations.
Do, O HEAVENLY FATHER, hear this my humble prayer and bestow upon me YOUR gracious blessings, so that my earthly life may be sustained and made happy by YOUR ineffable mercies. Teach me the way of YOUR statutes, that I may obey them and faithfully carry out YOUR ordinances. Dispose my heart to love YOU and to fear YOUR HOLY NAME, and grant me YOUR support and the strength necessary to avoid the worldly dangers which beset the path lying before me. Save me from temptation, so that I may observe YOUR HOLY LAW and those precepts on which human happiness and eternal life depend. Thus I will every day of my life trustfully and gladly proclaim: Hear, O Israel, the LORD is our GOD, the LORD is ONE!"

The Jewish Prophet Isaiah, speaks of ONE upon whose shoulder is the government, the LAW (TORAH), the blessing, whose NAME is called WONDERFUL, COUNSELOR, THE MIGHTY GOD, THE EVERLASTING FATHER, THE PRINCE OF PEACE. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 9. 6] We find HIM in the Temple at the age of maturity at that time (12) astounding the doctors of the Law with HIS perfect knowledge, HIS wisdom, HIS authority in the SCRIPTURES. [see Luke 2. 45 - 48] Y’SHUA didn't need a ceremony nor a ritual nor a celebration. HE fulfilled not only the Law, but the tradition of the Jews as well. HE had no sins for which Joseph was responsible before HE was twelve, but it was for our iniquities HE was bruised, for our transgression HE was wounded. [Isaiah/Yeshayah 53. 5] Truly, THIS SON did not suffer for HIMSELF as HE hung on that Altar on Golgotha; HE did not bear the punishment of HIS OWN sins, but surely, surely HE bore our diseases and carried our pains! The chastisement for our peace was upon HIM and through HIS bruises was healing granted to us! Blessed be HIS WONDERFUL NAME forever!

It is interesting to note that Jews use two words for "son" (and so it is in the SCRIPTURES — see Proverbs/Mishle 30. 4; 31. 2). The one word is "ben" which is a general term applied to each male child in a Jewish family. The other is "bar" which has a greater meaning, the term used of a son who has reached maturity, a greater son; one who has attained to the age of religious duty and responsibility. In other words, he is a qualified, full-fledged, mature Jew!

In the Second Psalm, considered the MESSIANIC PSALM, the COMFORTER, the HOLY SPIRIT, declares to the people of Israel (and all nations) that the ONE WHO is ANOINTED (the MESSIAH) — the ONLY BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD. In verse seven, Y’SHUA is called by the term "BEN." Then in verse twelve, Israel is admonished to do homage to HIM ("Kiss the SON") and they are "blessed who put their trust in HIM." In this instance the term "BAR" is used for the EXCELLENT SON. JESUS, the ANOINTED ONE is the SON (BAR) OF GOD and from the beginning of time, HE is BAR MITZVAH, the SON OF THE LAW as well!

[Special Note: 1961 was Bar Mitzvah Day in Israel for it was the 13th Independence Day celebration. This was because of the number thirteen. It is at age 13 the boy is called Bar Mitzvah or Son of the Law. According to Jewish authorities, the reason for 13 is because that is the number of ALMIGHTY GOD'S attributes. {Personally, I find HIS attributes to be beyond measure!}]

ALONE IN THE GARDENS
"The LORD GOD planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there HE put the man whom HE had formed." [Genesis (Bereshith) 2. 8 Tanakh, Torah] "Then the LORD GOD took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it." [Genesis (Bereshith) 2. 15 Tanakh, Torah]

Adam was the first gardener, tending the most beautiful garden that the SOVEREIGN LORD GOD HIMSELF planted. Every tree was pleasant to the sight; there was a lovely river to water it, and ALMIGHTY PRESENCE was there.

One day when the OMNIPRESENT CREATOR was "walking in the garden" — HE found Adam and Eve hiding from HIS PRESENCE because sin had entered, thus Adam and his wife had to be cast out of the garden leaving THE VOICE (Hebrew: qowl — "SOUND" OF THE LORD GOD) alone.

Many years later GOD, the CREATOR, entered another garden with HIS loved ones. The MESSIAH went out "with HIS disciples over the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which HE and HIS disciples entered." [John 18. 1] There in the Garden of Gethsemane, the disciples fell asleep, and once again Y’SHUA was left alone. "And HE was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and HE knelt down and prayed." [Luke 22. 41] There the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH "offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears" [Hebrews 5. 7] as HE faced the death that HE pronounced on HIS first loved ones long before in the first garden.

There was still another garden where ALMIGHTY MERCIFUL ONE was left alone again — "in the place where HE was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. There they laid JESUS." [John 19. 41 - 42]

In that same garden, after raising from the dead, MESSIAH Y’SHUA, the SECOND ADAM, was thought to be a GARDENER, "JESUS said to her — Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking? — She, supposing HIM to be the gardener, said to HIM — SIR, if YOU have carried HIM away, tell me where YOU have laid HIM, and I will take HIM away." [John 20. 15]

The LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA, the INCARNATE LIVING WORD OF GOD, walked alone in the first garden where HE was seeking HIS OWN. The SON OF MAN knelt alone in the second garden, praying for HIS Own. HE was buried alone in the third garden, dying for HIS OWN. Therefore, in the new "Paradise of GOD" where the Pure River of Life flows and the Tree of Life grows eternally, HIS servants shall serve HIM and reign with HIM "forever and ever" never to be alone again. That will be such a magnificently glorious time!

GOD has put HIS NAME in Jerusalem: "In this House, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put MY NAME forever." [2 Kings/Melakhim Bet 21:7b] As it goes for Jerusalem, so it will go for the rest of the world...do not be deceived into thinking anything less. Through the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA, Israel will be renowned, joyous, famous and glorious above all the nations on earth. [Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 33.9]

BROKEN BREAD
"As they were eating, JESUS took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, "Take, eat; this is MY body." — Then HE took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, "Drink from it, all of you. For this is MY blood of the NEW COVENANT, which is shed for many for the remission of sins." [Matthew 26. 26 - 28]

There are twelve specific references that use the term for breaking bread, this is the first in the NEW COVENANT and each remind the participants of MESSIAH’S sacrificial death. Even though Paul had not been present at this Passover Seder that was Y’SHUA’S Last Supper with HIS disciples, he evidently received a special personal revelation pertaining to it. "For I received from the LORD that which I also delivered to you: that the LORD JESUS on the same night in which HE was betrayed took bread; and when HE had given thanks, HE broke it and said, "Take, eat; this is MY body which is broken for you; do this in remembrance of ME." In the same manner HE also took the cup after supper, saying, "This cup is the NEW COVENANT in MY blood. This do, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of ME." [1 Corinthians 11. 23 - 25]

The drinking of the cup was similarly recalled as being the shed blood of MESSIAH. Performing and participating in this act helped them to remember and appreciate the great reality of eternal life imparted through Y’SHUA’S death. The PROMISED ONE OF GOD, the BELOVED REDEEMER had said to them, "Whoever eats MY flesh and drinks MY blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For MY flesh is food indeed, and MY blood is drink indeed. He who eats MY flesh and drinks MY blood abides in ME, and I in him. As the LIVING FATHER sent ME, and I live because of the FATHER, so he who feeds on ME will live because of ME. This is the BREAD which came down from heaven — not as your fathers ate the manna, and are dead. He who eats this BREAD will live forever." [John 6. 54 - 58]

For a while after Y’SHUA’S resurrection and the empowering of the disciples by the HOLY SPIRIT, they continued " Acts 2:46-47 daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, praising God and having favor with all the people." [Acts 2. 46 - 47] It look as if the disciples combined eating their own evening meals with the remembrance of the LORD’S Supper. Sometime later, for whatever reason, they changed it to the first day of the week when they came together. [see Acts 20. 7]

There is no specific instruction in SCRIPTURE as to how often this breaking of bread should be observed, but when it is the implied actions of "discerning the LORD’S body" is always critically essential and giving thanks to HIM for HIS sacrifice for us, as well as judging ourselves. "For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the LORD’S body. For this reason many are weak and sick among you, and many sleep. For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged. But when we are judged, we are chastened by the LORD, that we may not be condemned with the world." [1 Corinthians 11. 29 - 32] This is much more compulsory than the physical act of eating the broken bread and drinking the cup. But whenever we do, "Remember HIM!"

ARK OF TESTIMONY
"Place the Mercy Seat on top of the Ark, after depositing inside the Ark the Testimony that I will give you. There I will meet with you, and I will impart to you — from above the Mercy Seat, from between the two cherubim that are on top of the Ark of the Testimony — all that I will command you concerning the Israelite people." [Exodus (Shemot) 25. 21 - 22 Tanakh, Torah]

GOD ALMIGHTY told Moses that He will commune with him from above the Mercy Seat at HIS appointment. It was a privilege, honor and blessing to Moses that he could enter into the Holy of Holies to the very PRESENCE OF GOD! The High Priest could only enter once a year on the Day of Atonement, but Moses could enter any time OMNIPOTENT GOD called him. Moses is a type of MESSIAH. The redeemed of the LORD are represented in HIM. They stand before the FATHER, in the BELOVED and are recognized as sons-in-the-SON. It is the privilege, honor and the blessing that CREATOR GOD has given those who have been redeemed by the precious blood of the LAMB, to come into the Throne Room into the Holiest Place where we can commune with GOD at the Mercy Seat.

What a wonderful appointment! At all times we have our HOLY GOD'S blessing and HIS fellowship through the LORD Y’SHUA. No longer is it a Judgment Throne; but to us, it is a Place of Mercy. [Romans 3. 25] We can come boldly to the Throne of Grace [Hebrews 4. 15-16; 10. 19, 22] because we are washed by way of the SPOTLESS, BLAMELESS, INNOCENT LAMB'S sacrifice. Always and forever, the cherubim are looking toward the place where the blood of atonement is sprinkled. Let us continually look toward the Mercy Seat where that precious blood speaks for the remission of our sins.

Between the two cherubs dwells the GLORIOUS SHEKINAH, the actual PRESENCE OF GOD. [1 Samuel/Shemuel Alef 4. 4; 2 Samuel/Shemuel Bet 6. 2; 1 Kings/Melakhim Alef 22. 19; 2 Kings/Melakhim Bet 19. 15; Isaiah/Yeshayah 37. 16; Psalms/Tehillym 80. 1; 99. 1; 1 Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Alef 13. 6] The cherubim represent the believers who are one with CHRIST. How MESSIAH Y’SHUA longs to commune in the Holy of Holies within the inner sanctuary of every one of HIS children today. Y’SHUA desires to dwell in the center of our lives. This is the PROMISE OF THE FATHER [Luke 24. 49] — HIS coming was to dwell in, "to tabernacle" in the believer. HE had been with them, but now would be withIN them by the in-filling of the HOLY SPIRIT. [John 14. 17] The SHEKINAH would dwell between the cherubim on the blood-sprinkled Mercy Seat of the believer's heart.

The Mercy Seat is to be the place of GOD'S DWELLING PRESENCE; to cover over the articles of judgment inside the Ark of the Covenant; and to hold the blood of atonement. The HOLY ONE has provided wonderfully for ALL our needs!

ALONE IN THE GARDENS
"The LORD GOD planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there HE put the man whom HE had formed." [Genesis (Bereshith) 2. 8 Tanakh, Torah] "Then the LORD GOD took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to tend and keep it." [Genesis (Bereshith) 2. 15 Tanakh, Torah]

Adam was the first gardener, tending the most beautiful garden that the SOVEREIGN LORD GOD HIMSELF planted. Every tree was pleasant to the sight; there was a lovely river to water it, and ALMIGHTY PRESENCE was there.

One day when the OMNIPRESENT CREATOR was "walking in the garden" — HE found Adam and Eve hiding from HIS PRESENCE because sin had entered, thus Adam and his wife had to be cast out of the garden leaving THE VOICE (Hebrew: qowl — "SOUND" OF THE LORD GOD) alone.

Many years later GOD, the CREATOR, entered another garden with HIS loved ones. The MESSIAH went out "with HIS disciples over the Brook Kidron, where there was a garden, which HE and HIS disciples entered." [John 18. 1] There in the Garden of Gethsemane, the disciples fell asleep, and once again Y’SHUA was left alone. "And HE was withdrawn from them about a stone's throw, and HE knelt down and prayed." [Luke 22. 41] There the LORD Y’SHUA ha'MASHIACH "offered up prayers and supplications, with vehement cries and tears" [Hebrews 5. 7] as HE faced the death that HE pronounced on HIS first loved ones long before in the first garden.

There was still another garden where ALMIGHTY MERCIFUL ONE was left alone again — "in the place where HE was crucified there was a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid. There they laid JESUS." [John 19. 41 - 42]

In that same garden, after raising from the dead, MESSIAH Y’SHUA, the SECOND ADAM, was thought to be a GARDENER, "JESUS said to her — Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking? — She, supposing HIM to be the gardener, said to HIM — SIR, if YOU have carried HIM away, tell me where YOU have laid HIM, and I will take HIM away." [John 20. 15]

The LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA, the INCARNATE LIVING WORD OF GOD, walked alone in the first garden where HE was seeking HIS OWN. The SON OF MAN knelt alone in the second garden, praying for HIS OWN. HE was buried alone in the third garden, dying for HIS OWN. Therefore, in the new "Paradise of GOD" where the Pure River of Life flows and the Tree of Life grows eternally, HIS servants shall serve HIM and reign with HIM "forever and ever" never to be alone again. That will be such a magnificently glorious time!

GOD has put HIS NAME in Jerusalem: "In this House, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all tribes of Israel, will I put MY NAME forever." [2 Kings/Melakhim Bet 21:7b] As it goes for Jerusalem, so it will go for the rest of the world...do not be deceived into thinking anything less. Through the LORD MESSIAH Y’SHUA, Israel will be renowned, joyous, famous and glorious above all the nations on earth. [Jeremiah/Yirmeyah 33.9]

A HEBREW SAGE MIGHT SAY. . .
Two things are infinite: the OMNIPOTENT CREATOR GOD’S wisdom and human stupidity.

ANGER MANAGEMENT
"I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of hell fire." [Matthew 5. 22]

Taking this SCRIPTURE alone might indicate that for a follower of CHRIST, one was never to get angry. There are several other Texts that could be used that way, such as, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice." [Ephesians 4. 31] However, YESHUA is teaching that only the anger "without a cause" was wrong and would produce judgment.

If anger were never permitted for a believer, it would contradict even the occasional example of MESSIAH HIMSELF. "And when HE had looked around at them with anger, being grieved by the hardness of their hearts." [Mark 3. 5] The RIGHTEOUS ONE was angered because of the hypocrites among the Pharisees who were plotting to destroy HIM for healing a disabled man on the Sabbath.

We are never justified in getting angry over some personal injury or insult, but should — for CHRIST’S sake — take it on the chin in order to try living in peace. "But now you yourselves are to put off all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth." [Colossians 3. 8 ] "Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men." [Romans 12. 17 - 18]

Yet, if we do get angry in spite of ourselves, we are commanded: "Be angry, and do not sin — Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil." [Ephesians 4. 26 - 28] "Be angry and sin no more. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and trust in the LORD." [Psalms/Tehillym 4. 4 - 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Living in this world there will be situations that involve injury, rudeness, and insults to the precious name of our SAVIOR or HIS amazing works where anger is certainly "with cause." Nevertheless, even then, the HOLY LORD GOD counsels — "let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of GOD." [James 1. 19 - 20] And, "Do not let your spirit be quickly vexed, for anger abides in the bosom of fools." [Ecclesiastes/Kohelet 7. 9 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, "Vengeance is MINE, I will repay" — says the LORD." [Romans 12. 19] Truly, the LORD knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the DAY OF JUDGMENT and HIS ways are better then anything we could come up with.

Believe on the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA and be saved. Know that some glorious day we will behold that BLESSED HOPE and we will spend eternity in HIS PRESENCE and rest in the many promises that are to come into fulfillment when we but step into HIS arms; in the MASTER’S mighty hands we are complete and whole. Because of the LORD JESUS CHRIST, we can face tomorrow and be comforted now knowing we have been changed for a reason, transformed not for a season, but transformed for Eternal Life. Amen
DAY 22 of REPENTANCE Sometimes when we are convinced there is no more wickedness in us, the fact is it is deeply rooted. KING of kings, CREATOR of the universe, we plead that YOU open our eyes and help us to change our perspectives from all reprehensible, sinful behaviors that we can see ourselves as YOU see us; cleanse and change us into YOUR likeness. "Therefore put to death your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry." [Colossians 3:5] "Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; renew in me a determined spirit." [Psalm 51:10]

RAHAB & THE TWO SPIES
"Joshua son of Nun secretly sent two spies from Shittim saying — Go, view the land, especially Jericho. So they set out, and they came to the house of a harlot named Rahab, and lodged there." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 2. 1 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Before attacking the city of Jericho, Joshua the son of Nun sent two spies in to search out the land. Some assume that two were sent because when Moses had sent in twelve men to search out the land forty years earlier, only two were faithful. The result was the nation of Israelites were condemned to the wilderness wanderings. [Numbers/B'Midvar 13 - 14]

It seems, however, that the only accomplishment the two spies succeeded in was in the saving of Rahab and her household. "The city and everything in it are doomed by the LORD to destruction; only Rahab the harlot is to be spared, and all who are with her in the house, because she hid the messengers we sent." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 6. 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The two spies in the time of Joshua are similar form of evidence, guide, or illustration to the two witnesses that precede the tribulations of Revelation 11. "And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one-thousand-two-hundred-sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands standing before the GOD of the earth." [Revelation 11. 3 - 4]

By faith, Rahab the harlot acted on what she believed and was therefore justified by her works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way. "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." [James 2. 26] Likewise, those who are found faithful and are watching for the LORD'S return — will also go out of this earth another way. Be ready and watching, HIS return coming is near!

Our GOD and GOD of our fathers, bless us with the three-fold blessings of YOUR Law written by the hand of Moses YOUR servant, which was spoken by Aaron and his sons, the priests, YOUR holy people, as it is said: "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make HIS face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn HIS face to you and give you Shalom!"
DAY 10 of REPENTANCE The leaven of the world is tempting. It creates a certain kind of scrumptiousness; being embraced and recognized by the world can be intoxicating. But we are not of this world. We must avoid that leaven. "Therefore let us keep the Feast, not with old leaven, nor with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the Unleavened Bread of Sincerity and Truth." [1 Corinthians 5:8]
It only takes a little leaven to affect the whole lump of dough. When we find ourselves tempted by malice and wickedness, we must look to HIM WHO is the AUTHOR and FINISHER our faith. [Hebrews 12:2] "Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; renew in me a determined spirit." [Psalm 51:10]

SOLOMON'S PRAYER – GOD'S ANSWER
Solomon's focus was on his posture (on his knees with his hands spread); his position (facing the Temple); and the structure he made. Discern his prayer at the Temple's Dedication:
"Then Solomon, standing before the Altar of the LORD in the presence of all the whole congregation of Israel, spreading forth his hands. Solomon had made a copper platform and set it in the midst of the Great Court; it was five cubits long, five cubits wide, and three cubits high. He stood on it; then kneeling down on his knees before the whole assembly of Israel, he spread forth his hands toward heaven and said: "O LORD GOD OF ISRAEL, there is no god like YOU in the heavens or on earth, YOU keep YOUR Covenant and mercy with YOUR servants who walk before YOU with all their hearts; YOU have kept the promises YOU made to YOUR servant, my father David; YOU have both spoken with YOUR mouth and fulfilled it with YOUR hand, as it is this day. And now, O LORD GOD OF ISRAEL, keep that promise YOU made YOUR servant, my father David saying — You shall not fail to have a man sit before ME on the throne of Israel if only your children take heed to their way, that they walk in MY Law as you have walked before ME. — Now, LORD GOD OF ISRAEL, let YOUR WORD that YOU made to YOUR servant, my father David, be confirmed."
"Does GOD indeed dwell with men on the earth? Even heaven and the heaven of heavens cannot contain YOU; how much less this Temple which I have built! Yet regard the prayer and supplication of YOUR servant, O LORD my GOD, and listen to the cry and the prayer which YOUR servant offers to YOU. May YOUR eyes be open toward this Temple day and night, toward the place where YOU said YOU would put YOUR NAME, that YOU may hear the prayer which YOUR servant offers toward this place. And may YOU hear the supplications of YOUR servant and of YOUR people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven YOUR Dwelling Abode, and when YOU hear, forgive."
"If anyone sins against his neighbor, and an oath is exacted from him, and comes and takes an oath before YOUR altar in this Temple, then hear from heaven, and act, and judge YOUR servants, bringing retribution on the wicked by bringing his way on his own head, and justifying the righteous by giving him according to his righteousness."
"Should YOUR people Israel be defeated before an enemy because they have sinned against YOU, and return and confess YOUR NAME, and offer prayer and make supplication before YOU in this Temple, then hear from heaven and forgive the sin of YOUR people Israel, and restore them back to the land which YOU gave to them and their fathers."
"When the heavens are shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against YOU, when they pray toward this place and confess YOUR NAME, and turn from their sin because YOU humbled them, then hear in heaven, and forgive the sin of YOUR servants, YOUR people Israel, that YOU may teach them the good way in which they should walk; and send rain on YOUR land which YOU have given to YOUR people as their heritage. "So too, if there is a famine in the land, pestilence, blight, mildew, locusts or grasshoppers; when their enemies oppress them in any of their settlements of their land."
"In any plague or whatever sickness there is; whatever prayer or supplication is made by anyone, or by all YOUR people Israel — each one knows his own burden and his own grief — when he spreads out his hands to this House: may YOU hear from heaven YOUR dwelling place, and forgive. Give to everyone according to all his ways, whose heart YOU know — for YOU alone know the hearts of the sons of men — that they may fear YOU, to walk in YOUR ways as long as they live in the land which YOU gave to our fathers."
"Moreover, if a foreigner who is not of YOUR people Israel, who comes from a far country for the sake of YOUR GREAT NAME, YOUR MIGHTY HAND, and YOUR OUTSTRETCHED ARM, when they come and pray toward this House; then hear from Heaven YOUR Dwelling Place, and grant whatever the foreigner appeals to YOU for. Thus all the peoples of the earth may know YOUR NAME and revere YOU as do YOUR people Israel; and that they may know that YOUR NAME is attached to this Temple that I have built."
"When YOUR people go out to battle against their enemies, wherever YOU send them, and when they pray to YOU toward this City which YOU have chosen and the House which I have built to YOUR NAME, then hear from heaven their prayer and their supplication, and uphold their cause."
"When they sin against YOU — for there is no one who does not sin — and YOU become angry with them and deliver them to the enemy, and they take them captive to an enemy land, far or near; yet when they come to themselves in the land where they were carried captive, and repent, and make supplication to YOU in the land of their captivity, saying — We have sinned, we have done wrong, and have committed wickedness — and when they return to YOU with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, where they have been carried captive, and pray toward their land which YOU gave to their fathers, the City which YOU have chosen, and toward the Temple which I have built for YOUR NAME — may YOU hear their prayer and their supplications in YOUR Heavenly Dwelling, and maintain their cause, and forgive YOUR people who have sinned against YOU."
"Now my GOD, may YOUR eyes be open and let YOUR ears be attentive to the prayer from this place, and now, arise, O LORD GOD, to YOUR resting place, YOU and YOUR Mighty Ark of strength. Let YOUR priests, O LORD GOD, be clothed with salvation, YOUR saints rejoice in YOUR goodness. O LORD GOD, do not turn away the face of YOUR ANOINTED; remember the loyalty of YOUR servant David." [2 Chronicles (Dibre Hayamin Bet) 6. 12 - 42 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

GOD'S Answer:
"The LORD appeared to Solomon by night, and said to him: "I have heard your prayer, and have chosen this place for MYSELF as a House of Sacrifice. When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence against MY people, if MY people who are called by MY NAME will HUMBLE THEMSELVES, PRAY and SEEK MY FACE, and TURN FROM THEIR WICKED WAYS, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. Now MY eyes will be open and MY ears attentive to prayer made in this place. For now I have chosen and sanctified this House that MY NAME may be there forever; and MY eyes and MY heart will be there forever."
"As for you, if you walk before ME as your father David walked before ME, and do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep MY statutes and MY judgments, then I will establish the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with David your father, saying — You shall never fail to have a man as ruler in Israel.
"But if you turn away from ME and forsake MY Laws and MY commandments which I have set before you, and go and serve other gods and worship them, then I will uproot them (Israel) from MY land which I have given them; and this House which I have sanctified for MY NAME I will cast out of MY sight, and will make it a proverb and a byword among all peoples.

Solomon fell into sin and the kingdom was taken from his son. [1 Kings (Dibre Hayamin Alef) 11. 1-13 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The GLORIOUS ONE cast the House that Solomon had made out of HIS sight just as HE said HE would. [2 Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Bet 36.17–19; Ezra 5.12; 2 Kings/Melakhim Bet 25.8-10] Years later, for the same reason, GOD scattered HIS people, Israel, throughout all the lands of the earth. Then in 70 AD, GOD again cast the elaborate Temple Herod made out of HIS sight. No Temple has been on the site for nearly 2,000 years.

The Tabernacle was only sanctified when the glory of YEHOWAH was present. [Exodus/Shemot 29. 43; Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 43. 5; Haggai/Chagai 2. 7, 9] Without the LORD'S PRESENCE, it was just an exquisite structure. GOD, the RIGHTEOUS & HOLY ONE does not care about position, posture, the direction people face, or even the edifice they are standing in when praying. GOD'S focus is on the heart of the king and of the people and their willingness to obey HIS commands. Only GODly repentance in sincerity and truth leads to salvation and to life through faith in the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH.

DAY 9 of REPENTANCE What is in our hearts? And what are we tolerating in our midst? "It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and such sexual immorality as is not even named among the Gentiles — that a man has his father’s wife! And you are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he who has done this deed might be taken away from among you." [1 Corinthians 5:1-2]
The world wants us to be proud of tolerating sinful behavior. To them a call to repentance is bigoted and dogmatic. We are called to account for our own behavior and we are called to keep each other accountable for each other’s behavior. "Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; renew in me a unwavering spirit." [Psalm 51:10]

THE REAL PRODIGAL
"The son said to him — 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.' But the father said to his servants — 'Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet. And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry; for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.' — And they began to be merry." [Luke 15. 21 - 24]

This familiar parable is really about the "prodigal father" more then the "prodigal son." The word prodigal can have two different meanings: In the illustration of the father, prodigal means lavishly generous, exaggerated, excessive, over-elaborate, extravagant. In the incidence of the son, the meaning is opposite by some degree: wayward, rebellious, self-indulgent, immoral, depraved, wasteful. Since, the central theme of the story is not the return of a lost son, but rather the undying love of a forgiving father, emphasis should be on the one who loved, not the one who left.

The human father was intended by the LORD YESHUA to be a picture of our HEAVENLY FATHER, whose righteousness requires judgment on sin, but who is always ready to forgive and receive back into joyous fellowship the one who returns to HIM in repentant faith. Even to rebellious Israel, HE could say, "Yes, I conceived you with an everlasting love; therefore with lovingkindness I have drawn you. Again I will build you firmly, and you shall be rebuilt, O virgin of Israel! You shall again be adorned with your tambourines, and shall go forth to the rhythm of the dancers in rejoicing." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 31. 3 - 4 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

It was the memory of his father’s lovingkindness that ultimately gave the lost son courage to return home in repentance. And, when he returned there was no recriminations from his father, only the love and the prodigal outpouring of blessings along with the robe (covering), the ring (heritage), and the shoes (ability to walk confidently) all symbolizing his full restoration as the son of his father.

This is how it is with us, though utterly undeserving of such honor, we are made "heirs of GOD and joint-heirs with MESSIAH." [Romans 8. 17] "HE has not dealt with us according to our sins, nor punished us according to our iniquities...HE removed our transgressions from us. As a father has compassion for his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear HIM. For HE knows how we are formed; HE is mindful that we are dust." [Psalms (Tehillym) 103. 10 - 14 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Come out from among them and be separate and I will receive you. I will be a FATHER to you, and you shall be MY sons and daughters — says the LORD ALMIGHTY." [1 Corinthians 6. 17 - 18]

Arise, and let us return to the LORD our MERCIFUL GOD WHO is ready to abundantly pardon. For the FATHER is "a forgiving GOD, gracious and mercifully compassionate, long suffering, slow to anger, abounding in faithfulness and abundant in kindness" [Nehemiah (Nechemah) 1. 8 Tanakh, Kethuvim], and HE will never forsake us.

As we bid farewell to Sabbath at the Havdallah Ceremony, we use all of our senses: We taste the wine, smell the spices, see the shadow of candles, hear prayers and songs, touch family and friends as we wish them a Good Week.
DAY 5 of REPENTANCE Paul continues this theme further on in his Letter to the Romans, in the midst of an explanation of the significance of walking according to HOLY SCRIPTURE. "But to those who are self-seeking and do not obey the Truth, but obey unrighteousness, HE will pay back indignation and wrath, tribulation and anguish, on every soul of man who does evil, of the Jew first and also of the Greek; but glory, honor, and peace to everyone who works what is good, to the Jew first and also to the Greek; for there is no partiality with GOD." [Romans 2:8-11] Paul is reminding us that our rewards match our fruit. When we continue to be self-seeking and disobedient, we are bearing the fruit of an unrepentant heart, and our relationships with GOD and our brothers will be destroyed. "Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; renew in me a determined spirit." [Psalm 51:10]

WITH YOU ALWAYS
"For the sake of HIS GREAT NAME, the LORD will never abandon HIS people, because it has pleased the LORD to make you HIS people." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 12. 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

This is the promise the GREAT GOD OF ISRAEL made to HIS chosen people, Israel. "Remember, I am with you: I will protect you wherever you go and will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you." [Genesis (Bereshith) 28. 15 Tanakh, Torah]

To Joshua, the promise was given — "No one shall be able to resist you as long as you live. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will not fail you nor forsake you." [Joshua (Yehoshua) 1. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "Be strong and of good courage (Hebrew: chazaq v’amats) be not in fear or in dread of them; for the LORD ELOHEYK HIMSELF marches with you; HE will not fail you or forsake you." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 31. 6 Tanakh, Torah] In this verse, Moses is addressing the nation of Israel and he says, "Be strong and of good courage." Here, the Hebrew tense is the imperative plural tense thus the Hebrew says: "Hizku v'imtzu." Hazaq v'ematz is the singular imperative and this is the Hebrew when the ALMIGHTY speaks directly to Joshua and commands him to be strong and of good courage in Joshua 1:6.

The promises of the ALMIGHTY ONE, our SHIELD OF TRUTH, are certain and sure — infallible to all who trust in HIM. There are many faithful assurances in HOLY SCRIPTURES, one that especially reveals GOD'S heart declares: "The poor and needy seek water on the homeward march through the desert and there is none, their tongue is parched with thirst. I, YEHOWAH, will hear them. I, ELOHEY OF ISRAEL, will not forsake them." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 41. 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The most precious to the believers now says — "I will never leave you nor forsake you." [Hebrews 13. 5] Paul also was most convinced of this and expounded — "For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of GOD which is in CHRIST JESUS our LORD." [Romans 8. 38 - 39]

The last words our LORD MESSIAH YESHUA promised were — "I am with you always, even to the end of the age. Amen" [Matthew 28. 20] Moreover, the MOST HOLY & TRUE ONE always keeps HIS promises, HE never fails.

Blessings to all who love Zion! We were greatly blessed when the HOLY ONE has brought us out of slavery from Egypt and took HIS people directly to Mount Sinai. There HE gave us the Law to keep us free from slavery (to sin). Then, HE gave us HIS ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON, YESHUA the MESSIAH to keep us free and give us true peace and eternal rest in HIM. HalleluYAH! What a wonderful SAVIOUR, let us worship and adore HIM!

DAY 6 of REPENTANCE In his Letter to the Romans, Paul also instructs us to walk according to the WRITTEN WORD — in love, humility, generosity; in light and according to the HOLY SPIRIT. He also makes some comparisons that show us more of the products of an unrepentant heart. "Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy." [Romans 13:13]
These types of behavior are clearly a product of the lack of repentance. Again, these are clear-cut examples even if one does not considers himself to be guilty of these things. Nevertheless, we must be careful and willing to hear and see the truth. "Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; renew in me a determined spirit." [Psalm 51:10]

GATE — DOOR — VEIL
"You shall make an enclosure for the Tabernacle on the south side." [Exodus (Shemot) 27. 9 - 16 Tanakh, Torah]

In the three entrances of the Tabernacle we see MESSIAH YESHUA, THE GATE (THE WAY), THE DOOR (THE TRUTH) and THE VEIL (THE LIFE). The number "three" represents the GODhead, the TRINITY. OMNIPOTENT GOD'S fullness is summed up in MESSIAH as shown in these three doorways. "For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODhead bodily." [Colossians 2. 9] We approach the fullness of spiritual life only through GOD'S SON, our cherished, BELOVED REDEEMER.

THE GATE was 20 cubits x 5 cubits equaling 100. There is 100% salvation which the LORD GOD purchased for all who will come to HIM. It was low and wide, extending its arms (so to speak) to "whosoever will." This Gate was supported by 4 Pillars. Those 4 Pillars show the Way to Holiness that are found in the NEW COVENANT Books of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.

THE DOOR was 10 cubits x 10 cubits equaling 100 also. The ALMIGHTY ONE has one-hundred percent fellowship for HIS own. This curtain was, however, higher and narrower than the Gate. "Height" means greater and a more enlarged spiritual experience. There is a narrower walk with ETERNAL GOD, an enlarged and higher plane of living. It is through the sanctifying of the SPIRIT OF GOD for fellowship and service with HIM.

Some followers of CHRIST stop after entering the GATE OF SALVATION; they live selfishly, keeping silent concerning their salvation, and becoming stagnant by not allowing the RIVERS OF LIVING WATER to flow through them to others. They have entered the Court and have failed to explore further into the heights of DIVINE GRACE.

After entering the Holy Place through THE DOOR, the priests would minister to the LORD OF GLORY at the Golden Lampstand, the Table of Showbread and the Altar of Incense. They would partake of and participate in these illustrative objects showing their close relationship with their GOD for the people. Those who enter into the Holy Place with GOD receive more light, food and worship. Here the CHRISTian grows in the knowledge of MESSIAH for HE is "THE LIGHT (Golden Lampstand) OF THE WORLD." The LORD JESUS is "THE BREAD which came down from heaven (Table of Showbread)." And, HE is the "GREAT INTERCESSOR (Altar of Incense — taking the prayers of the saints to GOD ALMIGHTY)." Here one can partake of the very life of the HOLY ONE and continue to grow in the fullness of MESSIAH YESHUA, which is the will of GOD concerning all who are HIS.

There were Five Pillars that held up the DOOR. The Pillars represent ministries: Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors and Teachers. [Ephesians 4. 11]

Now we come to THE VEIL which was the entrance to the Holy of Holies. It is also 10 cubits x 10 cubits, as was the Door, but it was even more beautiful. There was added to it the design of the cherubim, the guardians of GOD'S holiness. The Veil was made of cunning work — the design and colours woven through the material so that it was seen on both sides. Again, the ten-by-ten equals one hundred. . . GOD offers 100% of HIS glorious, holy presence to those who desire it for HE has purchased it for them with HIS OWN precious blood! There is a more beautiful walk with the HOLY ONE, it is the Way of Holiness; and without holiness, no man shall see, understand, or know the ALMIGHTY ONE. The Four Pillars holding the Veil that leads into the Holiest is characteristics of YESHUA ha'MASHIACH: Wisdom, Righteousness, Sanctification (Holiness) and Redemption. [1 Corinthians 1. 30] It is here that we find the other two ministries: Priest and King. [Hebrews 6. 19 thru 7. 2]

Under the OLD COVENANT, the Israelites were restricted concerning the Temple, for they were allowed only through THE GATE into the Court. They were shut off from the Holy Place by the curtain called the Door. Only the priests, the sons of Aaron, were allowed through this entrance. But even the priests were shut off from the Holiest Place by the Veil. Besides Moses, only one man, the high priest, was allowed through the Veil into the Holy of Holies and that, only once a year and at that time, he could not enter without blood! But, these restrictions were changed — done away in MESSIAH YESHUA WHO fulfilled the OLD COVENANT to establish the NEW. "JESUS, when HE had cried again with a loud voice, and yielded up HIS SPIRIT. And behold, THE VEIL of the Temple was torn in two from top to the bottom; and the earth quaked, and the rocks were split." [Matthew 27. 50 - 51]

Have you entered into the Gate? the Door? through the Veil? How intimately do you want to walk with the KING OF GLORY? The choice is yours, the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH calls us to a higher and closer walk with HIM.

All have fallen short of the Glory of our MASTER. Quit hiding from your faults, Teshuvah — Repent! Set your mind, by GOD’S grace and with HIS help, to do your very best to bring honor to the NAME OF GOD. HIS ways are right and just and HIS mercy is abundant. Remember, faith celebrates even before the victory is seen!

DAY 8 of REPENTANCE Carnality is an overwhelmingly powerful result of an unrepentant heart. The wish to look and act like all the "Babylonian Meat" around us. That is a play on "carnal" which is literally "fleshly or meaty." And we are in exile, so — the "meat" around us is Babylonian, speaking figuratively. We are called to walk according to the SPIRIT, not according to the flesh. Repentance can deliver us from the tendency to chase after the flesh.
"I, brethren, could not speak to you as to spiritual people but as to carnal, as to babes in CHRIST. I fed you with milk and not with solid food; for until now you were not able to receive it, and even now you are still not able; for you are still carnal. For where there are envy, strife, and divisions among you, are you not carnal and behaving like mere men?" [1 Corinthians 3:1-3] If you truly want the ALMIGHTY LORD GOD to reign supreme in your life, you must grow up, and put aside envy, strife, and divisions. "Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; renew in me a determined spirit." [Psalm 51:10]

PROSPERITY OF THE UNGODLY

YOU have planted them, and they have taken root; they grow, yes, they even bear fruit. YOU are near in their mouths, but far from their thoughts." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 12. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi’im]

One of the persistent problems in errant teaching is that of the apparent prosperity of the ungodly along with the suffering of the righteous. Just why would the MAJESTIC CREATOR sanction such a technique?
Job essentially asked this same question as did the prophet Jeremiah several hundreds of years before the MESSIAH came to earth. So, "Why do the wicked live and become old, yes, become mighty and grow wealthy? ...They do not feel the rod of GOD...They spend their days in happiness, and in a moment go down to the grave. Yet they say to GOD — Leave us alone, we do not want to learn YOUR ways. Who is SHADDAI that we should serve HIM? What will we gain by praying to HIM?" [Job (Iyob) 21. 7, 9b, 13 - 15 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Asaph, the psalmist, also opposed — "As for me, my feet almost strayed, my steps were nearly led off course, for I envied of the wanton (shameful, wicked) boastful (arrogant), when I saw the prosperity of the wicked...Until I entered GOD’S sanctuary; then I understood their end (fate)." [Psalms (Tehillym) 73. 3, 17 Tanakh, Kethuvim] And King David noted, "Do not fret (be upset, worry) because of evil men, nor be envious of the workers of iniquity; for they shall soon be cut down and wither like the grass, and fade away as the green herb...Be patient and rest in the LORD, and wait enduringly for HIM; do not be vexed (troubled, exasperated) by the prospering man who brings wicked schemes to pass." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 1 - 2, 7 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The solution to this paradox is not in this present world, but in the world to come, where hell awaits the ungodly, and heaven awaits those whom the LORD GOD has redeemed through faith in MESSIAH YESHUA. The fact that a man may prosper materially in this life is not necessarily a measure of GOD’S approval of his life. The opulence (wealth) of men most usually causes them to be indifferent or even hostile to the MASTER OF MERCY & TRUTH, but their wealth is merely transitory. Another psalm of David states, "I saw a wicked man in great power, well-rooted like a native green tree. Suddenly he vanished, and behold he was no more; I sought him, but he was not to be found." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 35 - 36 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

If the EVERLASTING ONE does give a few believers material wealth, it is so they may use it for the LORD and for others, not to indulge for themselves. "Thus says the LORD — Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his strength, let not the rich man glory in his riches; but only in this should one glory...that he understands and knows ME, that I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight — declares the LORD." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 9. 22 - 24 Tanakh, Nevi’im] "Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the LIVING GOD, WHO gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life." [1 Timothy 6. 17 - 19]

Whatever our state, as we rest in the LORD GOD OF ISRAEL, it will be worth it all, when we see HIM.

DAY 7 of Repentance Paul had much to say to the believers in Corinth about the troubles they were experiencing. We can clearly see ourselves in some of the things he illustrates to them. Are we participating in such things? Initiating them? Approving of them? Disapproving but doing nothing to change anything? What Paul talks about here is something we see all too often in our midst. Where do you stand?
"Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, that you all speak the same thing, that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you." [1 Corinthians 1:10-11]
When division and contention arise among us, are we ready and willing to confront them and stand firm in love and unity? "Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; renew in me a determined spirit." [Psalm 51:10]

The solution to this paradox is not in this present world, but in the world to come, where hell awaits the ungodly, and heaven awaits those whom the LORD GOD has redeemed through faith in MESSIAH YESHUA. The fact that a man may prosper materially in this life is not necessarily a measure of GOD’S approval of his life. The opulence (wealth) of men most usually causes them to be indifferent or even hostile to the MASTER OF MERCY & TRUTH, but their wealth is merely transitory. Another psalm of David states, "I saw a wicked man in great power, well-rooted like a native green tree. Suddenly he vanished, and behold he was no more; I sought him, but he was not to be found." [Psalms (Tehillym) 37. 35 - 36 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

If the EVERLASTING ONE does give a few believers material wealth, it is so they may use it for the LORD and for others, not to indulge for themselves. "Thus says the LORD — Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his strength, let not the rich man glory in his riches; but only in this should one glory...that he understands and knows ME, that I am the LORD, exercising lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight — declares the LORD." [Jeremiah (Yirmeyah) 9. 22 - 24 Tanakh, Nevi’im] "Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the LIVING GOD, WHO gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life." [1 Timothy 6. 17 - 19]

Whatever our state, as we rest in the LORD GOD OF ISRAEL, it will be worth it all, when we see HIM.

DAY 7 of Repentance Paul had much to say to the believers in Corinth about the troubles they were experiencing. We can clearly see ourselves in some of the things he illustrates to them. Are we participating in such things? Initiating them? Approving of them? Disapproving but doing nothing to change anything? What Paul talks about here is something we see all too often in our midst. Where do you stand?
"Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, that you all speak the same thing, that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it has been declared to me concerning you, my brethren, by those of Chloe’s household, that there are contentions among you." [1 Corinthians 1:10-11]
When division and contention arise among us, are we ready and willing to confront them and stand firm in love and unity? "Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; renew in me a determined spirit." [Psalm 51:10]

CUSTOMS — RITUALISTIC SLAUGHTERING
"Only be sure that you do not eat the blood, for the blood is the life; you may not eat the life with the meat." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 12. 23 Tanakh, Torah]

Orthodox Jews are very careful in their method of killing animals for food. The trachea and esophagus are severed by means of a sharp knife, entirely devoid of notches, so that the blood may flow easily out of the body through the slit made.

Slaughtering, according to the Jewish method, causes instantaneous unconsciousness, and permits the greatest effusion of blood. The knife must be of a described size for each kind of animal, and of the maximum keenness, to prevent the slightest unnecessary suffering. It provides for as complete a draining as possible. In addition to this draining, the meat is soaked in water for half an hour, kept in salt for a full hour, and then thoroughly rinsed. Some meat is broiled, however, without this special treatment. Eggs, which have blood spots, are forbidden by Jewish law.

A qualified Shochet (butcher) carefully examines the animal, which after being declared "fit for food" or "kosher" is slaughtered. If he finds the animal sound, he seals the parts with the mark "kosher" in contradistinction to "terefah" meaning "unfit" and originally signifying something torn by a wild animal. "You shall not eat meat torn by beasts in the field; you shall throw it to the dogs." [Exodus (Shemot) 22. 31 Tanakh, Torah; Genesis/Bereshith 31. 39; Leviticus/Vayikra 7. 24; 22. 8]

The blood of YESHUA, the SPOTLESS, SINLESS SACRIFICE , was drained from HIM for the life of the world; HE was torn by "wild beasts" or "strong bulls of Bashan" according to the prophecy — "Many bulls have surrounded ME; strong bulls of Bashan have encircled ME." [Psalms/Tehillym 22. 12]

YESHUA ha'MASHIACH was made terefah — unfit — therefore the Jewish people, as a nation, did not partake of HIM. In prophecy they declared: "...when we saw HIM, there is no beauty that we should desire HIM. HE is despised and rejected by men, a MAN of sorrows and acquainted with grief. And we hid, as it were, our faces from HIM; HE was despised, and we did not esteem HIM." [Isaiah/Yeshayah 53. 2 - 3]

But, the LORD JESUS was cursed for the sake of the sinner! HE was made "unfit" that the sinner might be accepted in HIM. YESHUA, the GLORIOUS ANOINTED ONE , was made sin that all believing on HIM might be made righteous (kosher)! This was to fulfill the PRECIOUS WORD OF GOD concerning the MESSIAH OF ISRAEL WHO is the SAVIOR of the world!

Thank YOU, my LIVING HOPE for taking my penalty of sin upon YOURSELF and dying in my place! Then rising victoriously over the grave paying in-full for transgressions that was my due.

DAY 4 of REPENTANCE Many times the Apostle Paul mentioned what the fruit of an unrepentant heart was. He shares an extraordinary list in the Book of Romans: "Even as they did not like to retain GOD in their knowledge, GOD gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of GOD, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of GOD, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them." [Romans 1:28-32]

It is easy for us to read through a list like this and feel confident that we are not committing such egregious misbehaviors. Remember what the LORD YESHUA said about the power of our thoughts in HIS Sermon on the Mount. [Matthew 5-7] HE makes the point that harboring anger toward your brother is comparable to murder. So look at this list and examine ourselves, we must look at our external behavior, but more importantly, at our insides – our inmost being. [Matthew 5:21-22] "Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; renew in me a determined spirit." [Psalm 51:10]

Depravity leads to permissiveness, when righteousness is ignored. Permissiveness leads to rationalization, when holiness is ignored. Rationalization encourages rebellion, when repentance is ignored. Rebellion is viewed the same as witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. [see 1 Samuel/Shemuel Alef 15. 23]

POWER OF THE ARK
"The Philistines took the ARK OF GOD and brought it into the temple of Dagon and set it up beside Dagon (a Philistine idol-god of fertility; represented with the face and hands of a man and the tail of a fish). Early in the next day, the Ashdodites found Dagon lying face down on the ground before the ARK OF THE LORD. They picked Dagon up and put him back in his place; but early the next morning, Dagon was again lying prone on the ground in front of the ARK OF THE LORD. The head and both hands of Dagon were cut off, lying on the threshold; only Dagon's trunk was left intact." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 5. 2 - 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The Philistines had captured the ARK OF THE COVENANT where the GREAT & ALMIGHTY ONE met with HIS people, Israel, and set it up in the temple of their stone god, Dagon. The first night, the worthless image fell down before the Ark; the second night, he fell down again and broke in pieces. On the third day, a great plague fell on the people of Ashdod. Then, they immediately sent the ARK away!

Just as Dagon fell before the ARK OF GOD, so the priests and soldiers who came to take YESHUA, the MAN OF SORROWS away — "drew back and fell to the ground" [John 18. 6] in the LORD'S PRESENCE. And, as the temple of the stone god could not hold the Ark more then three days, the whale could hold GOD'S Prophet Jonah for only three days, so the grave could not hold the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH for more then that amount of time.

The ARK OF THE COVENANT exhibited HOLY GOD'S great power both to bless and to curse. It brought death to the Philistines who desecrated it as well as to the Israelites when "the LORD stuck the men of Beth-Shemesh because they looked into the ARK OF THE LORD." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 6. 19 Tanakh, Nevi'im] However, blessing accompanied the Ark to the house Abinadab the Levite, and later to the house of Obed-Edom: "Then the men of Kirjath-Jearim came and took up the ARK OF THE LORD and brought it into the house of Abinadab on the hill; and they consecrated his son Eleazar to have charge of the ARK OF THE LORD. A long time elapsed from the day that the Ark was housed in Kirjath-jearim, twenty years in all." [1 Samuel (Shemuel Alef) 7. 1 - 2 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "The ARK OF THE LORD remained in the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite three months, and the LORD blessed Obed-Edom and his whole household." [2 Samuel (Shemuel Bet) 6. 11 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The same is true of the LORD YESHUA and all who are "in HIM WHO is the head of all principality and power." [Colossians 2. 10] As the GALILEAN walked here on earth, HIS actual presence was a blessing to many, but others "asked HIM to depart from them, for they were seized with great fear." [Luke 8. 37]

"For we are to GOD the fragrance of CHRIST among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. To the one we are the aroma of death leading to death, and to the other the aroma of life leading to life." [2 Corinthians 2. 15 - 16] To all who love HIM, the BELOVED LORD YESHUA is as the SPIKENARD'S FRAGRANCE, the BUNDLE OF MYRRH, and the CLUSTER OF HENNA [Song of Solomon/Shir ha'Shirim 1. 12 - 14] blooming in the Vineyards of En-Gedi.

Repentance literally means to turn around; flee from the things you have chosen to revere and look to ALMIGHTY GOD. The WORD OF THE LORD came to the prophet Yeshayah (Isaiah): "These people have removed their hearts far from ME…woe to those who seek deep to hide their counsel far from the LORD. You definitely have things turned around! Shall the potter be honored as the clay; for shall the thing made say of him who made it — He did not make me? Or shall the thing formed say of him who formed it — He has no understanding?" [Isaiah 29:13-16] We have things turned around, therefore, we must willingly turn back to HIM, get closer to HIM, and bring our hearts to HIM for cleansing.

Man should bless the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY in times of trouble, even as he blesses GOD in times of the good.

HEAVENLY WISDOM
"As it is written — Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which GOD has prepared for those who love HIM. BUT GOD HAS REVEALED THEM TO US THROUGH HIS SPIRIT. For the SPIRIT searches all things, yes, the deep (Hebrew: 'amoq — mysterious, unsearchable) things of GOD." [1 Corinthians 2. 9 - 10]

The first part of this text is often quoted. . . then people go on to say that "the wonders of GOD cannot be known, fathomed or imagined." However, if they would only continue reading, the very next verse states that HOLY GOD does reveal it to those who know HIM, as it is HIS wish that we know and understand.

"It is the glory of GOD to conceal a matter, but the glory of kings is to explore a matter." [Proverbs (Mishle) 25. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim] "Concealed secret acts concern the LORD our GOD; but obvious things which are revealed is for us and our children ever to apply all the provisions of this TEACHING." [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 29. 29 Tanakh, Torah] "Such things had never been heard or noted; no eye has seen then, O GOD, but YOU WHO acts for those who trust in HIM." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 64. 4 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "For behold! I am creating a new heaven and a new earth; the former things shall not be remembered, they shall never come to mind." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 65. 17 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Our SOVEREIGN LOVING ALMIGHTY GOD doesn't do anything unless it is first revealed to the prophets. "But now the righteousness of GOD apart from the Law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets [Romans 3. 21], which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed by the SPIRIT to HIS holy apostles and prophets." [Ephesians 3. 5]

"For in it (the power of the GOSPEL) the righteousness of GOD is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written — The just shall live by faith." [Romans 1. 17] "The LORD has manifested HIS salvation; has displayed HIS righteousness and triumph in the sight of the nations." [Psalms (Tehillym) 98. 2 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

"The PRESENCE of the glory of the LORD shall appear, and all flesh, as one, shall behold — for the LORD HIMSELF has spoken." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 40. 5 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "JESUS said — I thank YOU, FATHER, LORD OF HEAVEN & EARTH, that YOU have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and have revealed them to babes." By HIS mighty hand and outstretched arm, the PRINCE OF PEACE delivered you that you might know the HOLY & TRUE ONE personally; there is none other besides HIM. HE desires that we hear HIS voice, that HE might instruct us. Truly the hearts cry of the MASTER OF MERCY to HIS people is, "O that they might know ME."

DAY 3 of REPENTANCE MESSIAH YESHUA (the LORD JESUS), when answering HIS disciples’ questions about "the end times" said this: "At that time many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many." [Matthew 24:10-12]
How are we doing? Are we occupied in betrayal and treachery? Are you listening to false prophets? Have we become distant from GOD’S HOLY WORD? Open your eyes — "Create in me a clean heart, O GOD; renew in me a determined spirit." [Psalm 51:10]

You are not born a winner nor a looser, but you are born a chooser. Choose this day WHOM you will serve, that is the determining factor.

LIFE IS TERMINAL
"Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and your life is hidden with CHRIST in GOD. When MESSIAH, WHO is our life appears, then you also will appear with HIM in glory." [Colossians 3. 2 - 4]

Looking forward to the time when we shall "always be with the LORD" [1 Thessalonians 4. 17], the Apostle Paul wrote — "For I am hard-pressed between the two, having a desire to depart and be with CHRIST, which is far better. Nevertheless to remain in the flesh is more needful for you." [Philippians 1. 23 - 24]

The fact, however, is that we can be "with CHRIST" even while still abiding in the flesh, as Paul emphasized. This is the great principle called positional truth. Positionally, we are already with YESHUA, for that is where GOD sees us and how HE relates to us. HE has "raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in CHRIST JESUS, that in the ages to come HE might show the exceeding riches of HIS grace." [Ephesians 2. 6 - 7]

Life is terminal, to live is ultimately to die. Many people have never figured this out, praising their bodies with exercise — dressing well — but never preparing for real life which is a spiritual future and without a spiritual future — life really makes no sense. Though some say that an after-life does not make any sense, the fact is that without an on-going life, this life does not make sense! If you remove GOD and the fear of HIM, what do you have? You not only have stress, but you are totally ignorant of just how valued you are...for you were created in the image of GOD. [Genesis/Bereshith 1. 27]

People say there are many ways to GOD, in an ironic way, they are right. . . but the destination the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE makes is determined by HIM; for we shall all stand before the AWESOME GOD OF HEAVEN and give an account for our life and HE will either say "Well done good and faithful servant" [Matthew 25. 21] or "Depart from ME, you cursed, into everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels." [Matthew 25. 41] YESHUA also addresses the unworthy — "Not everyone who says to ME, 'LORD, 'LORD' shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven, but he who does the will of MY FATHER in Heaven. Many will say to ME in that Day, 'LORD, 'LORD — have we not prophesied in YOUR NAME, cast out demons in YOUR NAME, and done many wonders in YOUR NAME?' And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from ME, you who practice lawlessness!" [Matthew 7. 21 - 23]

There is only one SAVIOR, the LORD YESHUA ha’MASHIACH…the LORD JESUS CHRIST! And, GOD’S laws and physics are exact. . . 2 + 2 = 4 every time. If some try to make it equal what they want, they will certainly not pass any exam. So you see, GOD’S physical laws are so clear, why not HIS spiritual laws?

GOD WHO created the world, loves us, gives us what is best for us, has a covenant with us which obligates us to fulfill HIS commandments, deals with us with both justice and mercy. We are finite; GOD is infinite. We do not presume to know the whole picture. We do know based upon our understanding of both the OLD & NEW TESTAMENT and history that GOD has a plan for history and a track record of fulfilling HIS promises — be they for reward or punishment. We understand that the ALMIGHTY ONE acts in this world with purpose, meaning and good.

Prayer gives us hope. Prayer is a means of integrating into ourselves that life has meaning and that we are not alone. Prayer focuses us on what we want out of life and helps us clarify what is good for us.

Before we can be raised up with MESSIAH, however, we first must die with HIM. "I have been crucified with CHRIST; it is no longer I who live, but CHRIST lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the SON OF GOD, who loved me and gave HIMSELF for me." [Galatians 2. 20] The ETERNAL ONE saw us as buried with MESSIAH when HE was buried, and this is the great truth symbolized in our baptism, "We were buried with HIM through baptism into death, that just as CHRIST was raised from the dead by the glory of the FATHER, even so we also should walk in newness of life." [Romans 6. 4]

"Now if we died with CHRIST, we believe that we shall also live with HIM, knowing that HE, having been raised from the dead, dies no more. Death no longer has dominion over HIM." [Romans 6. 8 - 9] YESHUA died for us so our deserved death became HIS substitutionary death, and HIS victorious resurrection becomes our own unmerited deliverance from death in eternal resurrection life. This is our position now, and our assured everlasting possession then, for we are with the BELOVED MESSIAH, WHO dies no more.

This is the wonderful doctrine (doctrine means: what you believe and hold to be true), but as we see in HOLY SCRIPTURE, it is the focus for our thoughts, and the most valid incentive for GODly living.

OMNISCIENT HOLY ONE
"Great is our LORD, and full of power. HIS wisdom and understanding is infinite, beyond reckoning." [Psalms (Tehillym) 147. 5 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Paul asked the great eloquent question — "For who has known the mind of the LORD? or who has been HIS counselor?" [Romans 11. 34] Even the most learned scholars of every age are mere newborn infants in knowledge compared to the ALMIGHTY ONE, "HIS wisdom cannot be fathomed." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 40. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im]


Everyone who believes in the ONLY TRUE & LIVING GOD acknowledges that HE is omniscient by definition. HE created all things and upholds all things, and understands all things. HE knows the future, for HE is the HIGH & LOFTY ONE WHO inhabits eternity forever dwelling in holiness, "the ONE WHO inhabits eternity" [Isaiah/Yeshayah 57. 15] and created time itself.

To acknowledge this is one thing, to live as if you believe it, is another. Most of the time we live, speak, and choose just as though the ETERNAL ALMIGHTY LORD neither knows nor cares what we do. But, HE really does know and cares! "When I sit down or stand up YOU know it; YOU discern my thoughts from afar. YOU observe my walking and reclining, and are familiar with all my ways. There is not one word on my tongue, but that YOU, O LORD, know it well." [Psalms (Tehillym) 139. 2 - 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

The blessed MASTER OF MERCY & TRUTH is both omniscient and omnipotent. HE is great in power and has created all things. EXTREMELY WELL DONE
"Descendants shall serve HIM; the LORD’S righteousness shall be proclaimed to the generations to come; they shall tell of HIS beneficence to people yet to be born, for HE has finished (fulfilled) this." [Psalms (Tehillym) 22. 31 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Psalm 22 is called the Psalm of the Cross and this is the last verse that marvelously prophecies, and so graphically describes the sufferings of MESSIAH on the cross. This prophesy was written a thousand years before it was literally fulfilled. Also the promise was that this great event would be proclaimed in every generation and "they shall bend the knee before HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 22. 30 Tanakh, Kethuvim] Father’s would tell their children from one generation to another declaring the righteousness of the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL. "Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; HIS greatness cannot be comprehended. One generation shall praise YOUR works to another and declare YOUR mighty acts." [Psalms (Tehillym) 145. 3 – 4 Tanakh, Kethuvim] It has been wondrously, incredibly, completely fulfilled for almost 2,000 years now and each generation of followers of the BELOVED LORD YESHUA have been faithful to teach their children the extraordinarily incredible story of "the sufferings of MESSIAH and the glories that would follow" [1 Peter 1. 11], both the sufferings and the glories are portrayed in the 22nd Psalm.

The final verse stresses the fact that the work has been completed. The most marvelous aspect of the Gospel Message (Good News) is that the LORD MESSIAH YESHUA has accomplished all that was needed to assure eternal salvation to everyone who would "seek the LORD and praise HIM." [Psalms (Tehillym) 22. 27 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

As HE was dying on the cross, the PIERCED ONE cried out — "It is finished!" [John 19. 30], the last illustrious prophecy was fulfilled. Comparable to when, in the beginning, HE expressed that "the heavens and the earth, and the host of them, were finished" [Genesis/Bereshith 2. 1], completing HIS wonderful work of creation. The LORD YESHUA finished HIS work on the cross, satisfying the penalty for our sins and providing the even greater work of redemption. Nothing remains to be done, indeed, that payment was made-in-full, and it is finished; CHRIST completed for us what we could not do for ourselves.

All we must do now is receive, in thanksgiving, what our LOVING SAVIOR has done for us. May we be faithful to THE MASTER, and like Paul, be able to say, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the Crown of Righteousness, which the LORD, the RIGHTEOUS JUDGE, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved HIS appearing." [2 Timothy 4. 7 – 8] All to HIM we owe, and I for one, am tremendously grateful and eternally thankful.

The world will soon be witness to one of the most spectacular events in the universe. It's a moment that reminds us of GOD’S awesome power and goodness. A sign asks us to take note. It has a message. Fail to heed it and suffer the consequences reserved for those who take GOD’S gifts which make life possible for granted. It is not hard to believe that the CREATOR of the universe built signposts predicated on natural law as ongoing reminders for mankind. At the very beginning of the TORAH there is a direct mention to the phenomenon of an eclipse: “And GOD said — Let there be luminaries in the expanse of the heavens …and they shall be for signs and for appointed seasons and for days and years." [Genesis 1:14]
When you perform the will of the HOLY ONE, blessed be HE, you need not fear retribution. Jeremiah teaches: "As it is said — And from the signs of the heaven be not dismayed." [Jeremiah 10:2] The awesome message of an eclipse, mankind has the ability to directly affect their destiny by virtue of their self-chosen actions...FAITH. As the High Holy Day formula puts it, "Repentance, prayer, and charity override the evil decree." The eclipse reminds us of a universe so much vaster than our ability to fully comprehend. Don't fear it, rather welcome it as a sign, as the Psalmist King David reminded us, that "The heavens declare the glory of GOD, and the sky above proclaims HIS handiwork." [Psalms 19:1] Contemplate on GOD’S uniqueness and greatness, HIS splendor is beyond the capacity of our vision; to think we truly see HIS essence with the limited perspective of our eyes is to be blind to the reality of His infinite magnificence.
LORD our GOD, great, eternal, wonderful in glory, WHO keeps covenant and promises for those that love YOU with their whole heart, WHO is the LIFE of all, the HELP of those that flee to YOU, the HOPE of those who cry to YOU, cleanse us from our sins, secret and open, and from every thought displeasing to YOUR goodness — cleanse our bodies and souls, our hearts and consciences, that with a pure heart, and a clear soul, with perfect love and calm hope, we may venture confidently and fearlessly to pray to YOU. And, we thank YOU in the MAGNIFICENT NAME of YESHUA, Amen!

CUSTOMS — GOD IS ECHAD
"Hear, O Israel! The LORD our GOD, the LORD is ONE!" [Deuteronomy (Devarim) 6. 4 Tanakh, Torah]

The Hebrew word used here for one is "echad" meaning united one. HEBREW SCRIPTURES teach the concept of plurality in GOD; that is to say, that the ONE GOD manifests HIMSELF in THREE PERSONS: The HEAVENLY FATHER — THE SOURCE of all things. As the ANGEL OF THE LORD, the WORD OF GOD, the MESSIAH, the ONLY-BEGOTTEN SON OF GOD, the VISIBLE REVELATION & EXPRESSION; and, the HOLY SPIRIT— THE COMFORTER & TEACHER.

These THREE constitute a UNITY (echad). To have a unity in the connotation of "echad" there must be a plurality — for instance: when CREATOR GOD made Adam and Eve, HE stated that they shall be "echad" (one) — a unity composed of two persons. At the Tower of Babel, YEHOWAH said, "All the people are echad (one) and the language echad (one) to all of them." [Genesis/Bereshith) 11. 6]


OLD COVENANT SCRIPTURES describe the GODHEAD as composed of three co-eternal and co-equal PERSONS WHO are the same in subsistence, but distinct in substance. There are three names for GOD which include these THREE PERSONS: ELOHIYM, YEHOWAH, and EL SHADDAI.

The tri-unity of GOD is implied in Aaron's priestly benediction: "YEHOWAH bless you and keep you (the FATHER). YEHOWAH make HIS face to shine upon you and be gracious to you (the SON). YEHOWAH lift up HIS countenance upon you and give you peace (the HOLY SPIRIT)." [Numbers (B'Midvar) 6. 24 - 26 Tanakh, Torah]

All three PERSONS of the GODHEAD are seen in the following texts: "Come near to ME, hear this — I have not spoken in secret from the beginning; from the time that it was, I was there. And now the LORD GOD and HIS SPIRIT have sent ME (MESSIAH YESHUA)." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 48. 15 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"For HE said — Surely they are MY people, children who will not lie. — So HE became their SAVIOR. In all their affliction HE was afflicted, and the ANGEL OF HIS PRESENCE saved them; in HIS love and in HIS pity HE redeemed them; and HE bore them and carried them all the days of old. But they rebelled and grieved HIS HOLY SPIRIT; so HE turned HIMSELF against them as an enemy, and HE fought against them." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 63. 8 - 10 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

It is thrilling to note that the Hebrew letter "sheen" — the initial letter of the name for GOD (SHADDAI, means all sufficient) was formerly taken by the Jews to represent the manner of DIVINE existence: It is composed of three perpendicular strokes, with one to unite them (Sheen: \\\ )!


In pronouncing the priestly or Aaronic Benediction the Rabbis today lift their hands in blessing over the people. The hands are held with the fingers of each hand depicting three strokes joined together, as in the letter sheen, which in turn represents the NAME OF GOD. As stated, the letter sheen is composed of three perpendicular strokes with one to unite them. How vividly the hand symbolizes the NAME OF GOD (represented by the letter Sheen) and also the trinity: THREE-in-ONE, ONE-in-THREE!

It is claimed that in BIBLE times when a king issued a decree, it was always given in the plural form, indicating the will of the kingdom in issuing this decree. This idea (the plural of majesty) is quite prevalent among many religious teachers. To this idea there seems to be some serious objections.

A Hebrew teacher was asked what the Jewish scholars did with the expression "ELOHIYM" — found many times in the first chapter of the book of Genesis/Bereshith. He answered that it was the custom in the BIBLICAL times to speak of the king and of the kingdom, and of the things done in the kingdom in a plural form. All documents, the teacher replied, were issued in this manner.

Attention was then called to the experiences found in the books of Ezra and Nehemiah. It is stated in these books that Cyrus, Darius and Artaxerxes each issued a decree. These three men were the kings of the Medes and Persians. In none of these decrees issued, do the kings speak of themselves in the plural form. It is always, "I, Cyrus" or "I, Darius" or "I, Artaxerxes." [2 Chronicles/Dibre Hayamin Bet 36. 22 - 23; Ezra 6. 1 - 8; 7. 11 - 13; 6. 14]

HOLY OMNISCIENT, OMNIPOTENT, OMNIPRESENT GOD, the ALPHA & OMEGA is TRINITY. HE is both ONE and THREE. However, HE is not both ONE and THREE in the same respect. GOD is ONE as to HIS essence of being, but THREE as to hypostases, persons, and modes of life and functioning. The human mind has a triune constitution — it is made up of the intellect, the sensibility, and the will — three minds, but of one mind.

Many times GOD called HIMSELF the GOD OF ABRAHAM, the GOD OF ISAAC and the GOD OF JACOB. HE seemed to love to reveal HIMSELF through this name, this is the revelation of the FATHER, SON and HOLY SPIRIT — for Abram means the exalted father who became Abraham, the father of a multitude. Isaac means laughter. He was the promised son, the JOY of the father. Jacob is known as the heel grabber or supplanter — the one who became "Israel" or a prince with GOD — and this speaks of the work of the HOLY SPIRIT.

Three is the numerical "signature" of the DIVINE BEING. GOD has stamped HIS signature on the universe HE created (Time: past, present, future; Kingdoms: animal, vegetable, mineral; Views: earth, sea, sky; Forms Matter Assumes: solid, liquid, gas; Colours to One Ray of Light: blue, red, yellow; etc.)

Also, there is the three-fold constitution of man proclaims the TRI-PERSONAL GOD WHO created him in HIS OWN IMAGE. The Sh'ma, expressing the TRI-UNITY of the GODHEAD, leads the command calling upon man's threefold nature: Spirit (hearts sensitivity to the SPIRIT OF GOD), Soul (eternal human characterization, disposition, essence) and Might (body, flesh) to love his TRIUNE CREATOR GOD!

GOSPEL PREACHED TO THE WORLD
"He who endures to the end shall be saved. And the GOSPEL of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." [Matthew 24. 12 - 14]

The MOST HIGH GOD OF HEAVEN is faithful in all things. "There is no other god besides ME, a JUST GOD and a SAVIOR; no god exists besides ME. Turn to ME, and be saved, all ends of the earth! For I am GOD, and there is none else." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 45. 21 – 22 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The SOVEREIGN ETERNAL ONE desires that none be lost, and all come to the knowledge of the truth in saving faith. [1 Timothy 2. 4] "So HE became their SAVIOR. In all their troubles HE was afflicted, HIS OWN PRESENCE delivered them; in HIS love and in HIS pity HE redeemed them; and HE bore them and carried them all the days of old." [Isaiah (Yeshayah) 63. 8 – 9 Tanakh, Nevi'im] "The STONE that the builders rejected has become the CHIEF CORNERSTONE. This was the LORD'S doing; it is marvelous in our sight." [Psalms (Tehillym) 118. 22 - 23 Tanakh, Kethuvim]

Men were given the privilege of sharing the WONDROUS LIFE-GIVING MESSAGE that whoever believed would be saved. This GOOD NEWS had gone out from Judea, Samaria, then into the uttermost parts of the world, and continues today. The HOLY LORD has always had devoted followers with hearts willing to complete the great commission, which is still to "go into all the world and preach the GOSPEL to every creature!" [Mark 16. 15]

The prophets, apostles, disciples, missionaries and modern-day world evangelism thought the WORD had been spread completely by their teaching on radio, internet and television. However, the ALMIGHTY let it be known that it still is not complete. As you read the Book of Revelation, you find that GOD HIMSELF will be the ONE to assure the task is complete, for HE shows the way it will be accomplished HIS perfect and complete way.

Two Witnesses: The FAITHFUL & TRUE, the AUTHOR & FINISHER of our faith affirms: "And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth. These are the two olive trees and the two lamp stands standing before the God of the earth." [Revelation 11. 3 - 4] When they finish their testimony, the beast from the bottomless pit will make war on them and kill them, but after three days, the BREATH OF LIFE from GOD will enter them and they will ascend into heaven in a cloud. [Revelation 11. 7 - 14]

144,000 Jewish Witnesses: The SAVIOR OF OLD has 144,000 un-defiled, virgin Jewish men "who follow the LAMB wherever HE goes. These were redeemed by MESSIAH from among men being first-fruits to GOD and to the LAMB. And in their mouth was found no guile, for they are without fault before the Throne of GOD." [Revelation 14. 4 – 5; 7. 1 - 8]

Remnant of the Woman's Seed: Again in Revelation we see that those who are left behind, will overcome Satan, the Accuser, by "the blood of the LAMB and by the word of their testimony" for they did not love their lives to the death. [Revelation 12. 11]

Three Angels' Announcement: "Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the EVERLASTING GOSPEL to preach to those who dwell on the earth — to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people saying with a loud voice — Fear GOD and give glory to HIM, for the hour of HIS judgment has come; and worship HIM WHO made heaven and earth, the sea and springs of water." [Revelation 14. 6 - 7]
"And another angel followed, saying — Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she has made all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication."
"Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice — If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of GOD, which is poured out full strength into the cup of HIS indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the LAMB." [Revelation 14. 8 - 10]

May each of us be found faithful doing our HEAVENLY FATHER'S business when HE comes...for the crowns we will win, is the souls of men: "Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the LORD, beloved." [Philippians 4. 1] "For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our LORD JESUS CHRIST at HIS coming? For you are our glory and joy." [1 Thessalonians 2. 19 - 20]

O come, let us worship and bow down; let us kneel before the LORD our MAKER.

EZEKIEL'S VISION (Part 6 - Conclusion)
RESURRECTION & ASCENSION:
"Above the expanse over their heads was the semblance of a throne, in appearance like sapphire; and on top, upon this semblance of a throne, there was the semblance of a HUMAN (Man) form. From what appeared as HIS loins up, I saw a gleam as of amber — what looked like a fire encased in a frame; and from what appeared as HIS loins down, I saw what looked like fire. There was a radiance all about HIM." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 26 - 27 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

Suddenly Ezekiel was transported above the firmament where he saw a throne, and sitting on that throne was a MAN. From the scene of death in verse 25, Ezekiel was ushered into an exalted setting. His vision had clearly taken him through the resurrection of the LORD JESUS and HIS ascension into Heaven, for Ezekiel now saw KING YESHUA sitting on a throne. JESUS, the LORD ETERNAL, today is "seated at the right hand of power far above all principality and power and might and dominion" [Ephesians 1. 20 - 21] waiting to return to this earth as the VICTORIOUS KING OF GLORY. The RIGHTEOUS MESSIAH’S present ministry is that of INTERCESSOR (ADVOCATE) with the FATHER on behalf of the Saints. [1 John 2. 1]

In verses 26 and 27, YESHUA ha'MASHIACH is described in all of HIS glory being the exalted KING and MAJESTIC RULER OF HEAVEN & EARTH. The brilliance of HIS HOLINESS is pictured here in Ezekiel just as it is in Revelation 1:13-16 where YESHUA is shown as having the same glory as the HEAVENLY FATHER seated on the throne. Revelation shows the scene of THE THRONE and the ONE seated on the throne surrounded by an emerald rainbow (depicting Eternal Life), "Immediately I was in the SPIRIT; and behold, a throne set in heaven, and ONE sat on the Throne. And HE WHO sat there was like a jasper and a sardis stone in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the Throne, in appearance like an emerald." [Revelation 4. 2 - 3] YESHUA is the PERFECT BLAMELESS LAMB WHO takes the scroll from the hand of the ONE seated on the Throne. [Revelation 5. 5 - 7]

"Like the appearance of the bow which shines in the clouds on a day of rain, such was the appearance of the surrounding radiance. That was the appearance of the semblance of the PRESENCE OF THE LORD. When I beheld it, I flung myself down on my face and I heard the VOICE of ONE speaking." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

"The appearance of the bow which shines in the clouds on a day of rain" would be the Rainbow round about the Throne. The rainbow was a pledge of ELOHIYM’S faithfulness to HIS COVENANTS. "I have set MY bow in the clouds, and it shall serve as a sign of the Covenant between ME and the earth." [Genesis (Bereshith) 9. 13 Tanakh, Torah] The ALMIGHTY BLESSED ONE sits upon the Throne. . . splendid, dazzling, and terrible; but encompassed about by the Covenant of Grace.

Ezekiel's response to what he saw is instructive for us today. Ezekiel saw the glory of his EL SHADDAI, how impressive his OMNIPOTENT GOD is, and he could respond in only one way. . . he fell on his face. In submission and humility, Ezekiel prostrated himself before the AWESOME LORD GOD, CREATOR OF THE UNIVERSE. Down through the centuries, this has been the only possible response for all men and women who have plain and genuinely seen the glory of YEHOWAH in the risen LORD MESSIAH JESUS.

Throughout the pages of HOLY SCRIPTURE, we are shown the impressiveness of The HOLY ANOINTED ONE . In Ezekiel 1, we are given an overview of HIS entire life and ministry. The BELOVED YESHUA ha’MASHIACH came from Heaven to earth. HE is the GOD/MAN. HE walked a perfect walk in obedience to the FATHER. The LORD JESUS is the blessed forever REDEEMER — SAVIOR — KING WHO will return as the LORD OF GLORY. The ANOINTED ONE died for our sins, but arose jubilantly victorious over death and is now seated at the right hand of the OMNIPOTENT FATHER GOD. Anyone who sees the LOVING MESSIAH, the LORD JESUS CHRIST OF THE HOLY SCRIPTURES cannot help but willingly fall in submission before HIM.

Ultimately, Ezekiel "heard the VOICE OF ONE that spoke." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 28 Tanakh, Nevi'im] There is a natural progression: Ezekiel saw — fell — heard. It is crucial that when a person fully sees and comprehends the incomparable greatness of JESUS OF NAZARETH, he will fall before the LORD and respond to MESSIAH'S leading. Ezekiel was asked to do some strange things during his life [Ezekiel/Yehezke-El 4. 1-6], but he never questioned his HEAVENLY FATHER, the ALMIGHTY OMNIPRESENT GOD. . . Ezekiel was obedient!

When you see the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH of the HOLY SCRIPTURES, you will also experience how great and impressive HE assuredly is. Now, you will want to do whatever HE asks of you! First, the LORD YESHUA requires you to accept HIM personally as your only SAVIOR, REDEEMER & LORD. . . then to follow HIM in obedience to HIS teachings as it is written in HIS HOLY WRITTEN WORD. Then, when you understand how absolutely, thoroughly, unconditionally remarkably great the LORD JESUS is, it won't be difficult to accept and follow the GLORIOUS MASTER implicitly. Amen! What a WONDERFUL SAVIOR HE is! Hallelu'YAH! such amazing love!

Light is the symbol of the DIVINE in man; the spirit of man is the light of the LORD.

Light is the symbol of Israel's mission. I, the LORD, have set you for a covenant of the people, for a light to the nations.

EZEKIEL'S VISION (Part 5 of 6)
LED BY THE SPIRIT: "And when the Creatures moved forward, the wheels moved at their sides; and when the Creatures were borne above the earth, the wheels were borne too. Wherever the SPIRIT impelled them to go, they went — wherever the SPIRIT impelled them — and the wheels were borne alongside them; for the SPIRIT OF THE CREATURES was in the wheels. When those moved, these moved; when those stood still, these stood still; and when those were borne above the earth, the wheels were borne alongside them - for the SPIRIT of the Creatures was in the wheels." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 19 - 21 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The ministry of the LORD JESUS displayed the truth of these verses. As MESSIAH YESHUA walked on this earth, HE was led in all things by the SPIRIT OF GOD. This reality in HIS life is shown from the very beginning of HIS ministry: "Then JESUS was led up by the SPIRIT into the wilderness to be tempted by the Devil." [Matthew 4. 1]

DEATH OF MESSIAH (Foreshadowed):
"Above the heads of the CREATURES was a form, an expanse, with an awe-inspiring gleam as of crystal was spread out above their heads. Under the expanse, each had one pair of wings extended toward those of the others; and each had another pair covering its body. When they moved, I could hear the sound of their wings like the sound of mighty waters, like the sound of SHADDAI (THE ALMIGHTY ONE) a tumult like the sound of an army. When they stood still, they would let their wings droop. From above the expanse over their heads came a sound. When they stood still, they would let their wings droop." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 22 - 25 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

When ELOHIYM created the universe, HE said there was to be "a firmament, an expanse, in the midst of the water, that it may separate water from water." [Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 6 Tanakh, Torah] After the creation of the firmament, CREATOR GOD "called the expanse, Sky (Heaven)." [Genesis (Bereshith) 1. 8 Tanakh, Torah] Over the LIVING CREATURES was a firmament or expanse. The LORD JESUS performed HIS ministry under Heaven…on the earth. HE walked and talked as no man had ever done. After YESHUA had calmed the wind and the waves, the disciples marveled, saying, "WHO can this be? that even the winds and the sea obey HIM?" [Matthew 8. 27] It was said of JESUS — "No man ever spoke like this MAN." [John 7. 46] The uniqueness of the LORD MESSIAH is captured when the sound of the CREATURES' wings is said to be "like the sound of mighty waters of SHADDAI, the ALMIGHTY — a tumult like the din of an army." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 24 Tanakh, Nevi'im] The LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH was unique because HE IS GOD IN HUMAN FLESH.

A climactic point is reached at this place in the chapter. Wings have pictured the protection of the ALMIGHTY ONE but the next two verses state, "when they stood still, they would let their wings droop (let down their wings)." [Ezekiel (Yehezke-El) 1. 24 - 25 Tanakh, Nevi'im]

The LORD YESHUA, the HOLY ANOINTED ONE promised, "If I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all peoples to MYSELF." [John 12. 32] The LIVING CREATURES STOOD STILL . . .JESUS went to the cross. It was at that time, and at that time only in the life of YESHUA that the wings of GOD'S protection were let down. The depravity and filth of sin of all mankind were placed on HIM at Golgotha’s Calvary. In fulfillment of the prophecy, "MY GOD, MY GOD, why have YOU abandoned ME? Why so far from delivering ME and from MY anguished roaring?" [Psalms (Tehillym) 22. 1 Tanakh, Kethuvim] JESUS, the CHRIST OF CALVARY cried out at that time — "ELI, ELI, lama sabachthani , that is — MY GOD, MY GOD, why have YOU forsaken ME?" [Matthew 27. 46] The crowning moment of HIS ministry was coming, but first HE had to endure the crucifixion. YESHUA had to suffer, abandoned by GOD THE FATHER. However, the LORD YESHUA ha'MASHIACH would soon rise as SOVEREIGN GOD OF THE UNIVERSE.
