Headlines from the mainstream media have been flooded with biased, so-called facts surrounding incidents involving President Donald Trump and Gold Star families. However, there was one particular incident the President had with a grieving military father that Trump purposefully kept quiet — but the secret is out now, and it’s left many Americans stunned.

After the death of Chris Baldridge’s son, Army Cpl. Dillon Baldridge, the father was rightfully heartbroken. However, when President Donald Trump personally called the grieving father to offer his condolences, an incident occurred that Trump himself didn’t want all over the news. However, when the mainstream media got wind of it, the secret was out, and now, anyone who hears about it has been left shocked.

During the 15-minute phone call in June, Chris poured his heart out to the President. He explained to Trump that along with his grief, he could “barely rub two nickels together.” Making matters even worse, the father wouldn’t be receiving any of the death gratuity paid by the government because “his ex-wife was listed as their son’s beneficiary, she was expected to receive the Pentagon’s $100,000 death gratuity,” according to Washington Post. Although Chris was merely venting his frustration to the President, he never anticipated his response — Trump offered to personally write him a $25,000 check.

“He said, ‘I’m going to write you a check out of my personal account for $25,000,’ and I was just floored,” Chris recalled. “I could not believe he was saying that.” He continued, “No other president has ever done something like this,” but Trump responded, “I’m going to do it.” In addition to the check, Trump promised that he would have his staff create an online fundraiser for the family.

Of course, once the mainstream media heard about what happened, they waited for some time to pass and then only ran the story to accuse Trump of never following through on his pledge. However, there’s just one problem — he did. In fact, when the White House was asked about the incident, they confirmed that the check had gone out. According to The Examiner, a White House spokesperson said, “It’s disgusting that the media is taking something that should be recognized as a generous and sincere gesture, made privately by the president, and using it to advance the media’s biased agenda.”

Regardless as to whether Trump had already sent out the check or not, the mainstream media should have given him at least 18 months to fulfill his promise since it took former President Barack Obama 18 months to fulfill the promise he made to the family of Kayla Mueller, a US hostage who was kidnapped and killed in Syria on Obama’s watch. Of course, Obama was praised for his gesture, even though he had forgotten entirely to disperse the promised donation until he was called out in a “20/20” interview and then publicly claimed it was “an oversight.”

We all know that Obama’s undisclosed amount of money for the Mueller’s wasn’t anything compared to what Trump offered Chris and his family. Obama clearly did it for the publicity, but Trump did it because it was the right thing to do. He didn’t want anyone to know about it, but rather, wanted to help a grieving military family make ends meet.

Somehow, the liberal media has found a way to even distort Trump’s selfless gestures that clearly should be applauded. Whether they like to admit it or not, Donald Trump is a generous and good man, a smart and skilled businessman, and from what we’ve seen, he has the potential to be one of the best Presidents in American history because he truly loves America and her people.
