If Donald Trump was still President today, much would have been different. The economy would probably be doing well as it was under most of the years of his leadership. However, the government response to the coronavirus pandemic would probably not be that different than the response of the Biden administration. Donald Trump’s record on the coronavirus response was clearly not a sterling record. Yes, he did close the skies to China early on. But yes, he also thought it was not a serious threat. He was dead wrong on that.
The politician today who has probably had the best balanced response to handling the pandemic has been Governor Ron DeSantis from Florida. He has taken unpopular policies that have sometimes brought many complaints – from the Oval Office downward. But he stuck to his guns and said that there is simply no reason to shut down the State and move to a policy of vaccine mandates. Ultimately, his attitude will probably prevail nationwide.
But, in an unpredictable situation such as this one, we must not blame the politicians too much. If anyone is to blame for a botched response, it is Dr. Fauci and others who have been too restrictive.
It is too early to make a final determination. It will require a lot of hindsight – in five years from now to decide what the best response ought to have been in this unprecedented pandemic that has hit the world.

I remember when I was wrong and my mom would always tell me that one way or another the truth will always reveal itself, and you know what? She was right.
The truth will always find its way and will be revealed no matter how hard you try to keep it covered up.
A perfect example of this is the January 6th so-called riots where it has been reported that Trump supporters were arrested and called insurrectionists for breaking into the Capitol.
There have been many Trump supporters who feel that they were set up to take the fall when it was in fact, Antifa who was the guilty party. Trump supporters say that Antifa infiltrated their group and then lured those who were at the rally to the Capitol building and it is extremely plausible.
Of course, the Democrats and all of the mainstream media called it nothing but a crazy conspiracy theory, but is it?
Six months after the event, a newly released video suggests that it was indeed Antifa who FIRST broke into the Capitol and not Trump supporters.

Ok, you are asking yourself right now…how does that prove it was Antifa?
Notice how everyone comes in at first is dress in all black.
This tells you two things:
This was coordinated.
They are following the Antifa dress code.
Let’s be real for a moment. If this truly was an organic uprising spurned by Trump’s words, wouldn’t there be a whole throng of people rushing into the building wearing all sorts of different types of clothing?
If you think about it, wouldn’t there be mass chaos as they burst through the door?
If it was Trump who incited this entire ordeal, wouldn’t mean that the actions were unplanned?
And if the actions were unplanned, then the actions were also uncoordinated.
Yet, we see at least a dozen people enter the building dressed from head to toe in black.
That takes coordination; that wasn’t a coincidence.
The next fact is that we know the Antifa dress code is to wear black and use baseball bats.
In fact, the New York Times even confirmed this with insight on Antifa fashion:

“Cops wear camouflage when they arrest people in city drug raids,” said Ben, a Bay Area activist. “But they’re in a city. It doesn’t help them, but it makes them look more intimidating.” Ben says he has participated in protests since 2000, including Bush/Gore, Occupy Oakland and Black Lives Matter. (The Times agreed to use only his first name because of the threat of harassment, online or otherwise, by activists.) “A group of people all dressed in black can be intimidating,” he said.
Is that intimidation the motive or just a benefit? Do black bloc practitioners dress up because, as many progressives wonder, they want to commit crimes? What do they get out of “masking up”? Where does uniform merge with tactic?
By now, you know the look. Black work or military boots, pants, balaclavas or ski masks, gloves and jackets, North Face brand or otherwise. Gas masks, goggles and shields may be added as accessories, but the basics have stayed the same since the look’s inception.
It’s impossible to say which anarchist street movement first donned all black. The generally agreed-upon genesis for the bloc’s current incarnation is the Autonomen movement of the 1970s, which grew out of class struggles in Germany, Italy, the Netherlands and beyond. (Antifa groups, an overlapping but not at all identical set of people, trace their lineage back further, to those who fought against the rise of Hitler; generally, where there is “fa,” there’s been “antifa.”)
There are at least 14,000 PLUS hours of footage stemmed from the Capitol attack that has not even been released to the public. Is the FBI hiding the footage from the public and why?
Is the reason as simple as if they release this footage it would destroy the narrative that the mainstream media has curated for months? That if this footage was released it would show that it was Antifa who began this attack and not Trump supporters and in essence ruining everything they have worked so hard to do?
Politico confirms that there are +14,000 hours of footage that will not be released:
The Capitol Police shared thousands of hours of Jan. 6 surveillance camera footage with two key congressional committees investigating the mob attack on the building — and provided “numerous” clips to the Democrats prosecuting Donald Trump’s impeachment, the department’s top lawyer revealed Monday.
The department provided the footage to the impeachment managers in response to a request from top House lawyer Douglas Letter, according to Capitol Police General Counsel Thomas DiBiase, who made the disclosures in a sworn affidavit he submitted in one of the criminal cases stemming from the Jan. 6 riot.
DiBiase said the department also provided more than 14,000 hours of surveillance camera footage — encompassing the hours of noon to 8 p.m. on Jan. 6 — to two key committees investigating the Capitol assault: The House Administration Committee and the Senate Rules Committee.
DiBiase’s comments to the court are the first known acknowledgment from the Capitol Police of the extent of its cooperation with lawmakers investigating the attack. The notoriously secretive agency has said little about the extent of its cooperation with other entities and whether it had shared its materials with lawmakers until now. On Monday, two key House Appropriations Committee lawmakers — who oversee the Capitol Police budget — ripped the department for failing to provide more public details about its response to the Jan. 6 attack.
DiBiase indicated that since lawmakers’ initial request for footage, the department has agreed to provide footage from the entire 24 hour period of Jan. 6. The Capitol Police have also shared the 14,000-hour subset of footage with the FBI and the D.C. Metropolitan Police to support ongoing investigations. And it has shared a “very limited number” of video clips from Jan. 5 to assist the D.C. police with “potential … incidents.”
Despite the disclosure, DiBiase is silent on one crucial question: Whether the department has preserved a broader swath of Jan. 5 footage and shared it with lawmakers who have raised fears about potential “reconnaissance” efforts by would-be rioters the day before the Capitol breach. Democrats leveled the charge in the immediate aftermath of the attack, suggesting Republican lawmakers or aides may have aided the rioters, but have said little to back up their statements since,
In his affidavit, DiBiase revealed that the security footage is “automatically purged” within 30 days under normal circumstances.
DiBiase filed his affidavit in the criminal case of Patrick McCaughey, who is charged with pinning a police officer while another rioter ripped off the officer’s mask. Prosecutors have relied on surveillance footage to bolster their case against McCaughey, and typical evidence-sharing procedures would require prosecutors to share those videos with McCaughey’s defense team.

As an entertainment journalist, I've had the opportunity to cover Trump for over a decade, and in all my years covering him I've never heard anything negative about the man until he announced he was running for president. Keep in mind, I got paid a lot of money to dig up dirt on celebrities like Trump for a living so a scandalous story on the famous billionaire could've potentially sold a lot of magazines and would've been a Huge feather in my cap.
Instead, I found that he doesn't drink alcohol or do drugs, he's a hardworking businessman. On top of that, he's one of the most generous celebrities in the world with a heart filled with more gold than his $100 million New York penthouse.
Since the media has failed so miserably at reporting the truth about Trump, I decided to put together some of the acts of kindness he's committed over three decades which has gone virtually unnoticed or fallen on deaf ears.
In 1986, Trump prevented the foreclosure of Annabell Hill's family farm after her husband committed suicide. Trump personally phoned down to the auction to stop the sale of her home and offered the widow money. Trump decided to take action after he saw Hill's pleas for help in news reports.
In 1988, a commercial airline refused to fly Andrew Ten, a sick
Orthodox Jewish child with a rare illness, across the country to get medical care because he had to travel with an elaborate life-support system. His grief-stricken parents contacted Trump for help and he didn't hesitate to send his own plane to take the child from Los Angeles to New York so he could get his treatment.
In 1991, 200 Marines who served in Operation Desert Storm spent time at Camp Lejune in North Carolina before they were scheduled to return home to their families. However, the Marines were told that a mistake had been made and an aircraft would not be able to take them home on their scheduled departure date. When Trump got wind of this, he sent his plane to make two trips from North Carolina to Miami to safely return the Gulf War Marines to their loved ones.
In 1995, a motorist stopped to help Trump after the limo he was traveling in got a flat tire. Trump asked the Good Samaritan how he could repay him for his help. All the man asked for was a bouquet of flowers for his wife. A few weeks later Trump sent the flowers with a note that read: We've paid off your mortgage.
In 1996, Trump filed a lawsuit against the city of Palm Beach ,
Florida, accusing the town of discriminating against his Mar-a-Lago resort club because it allowed Jews and blacks. Abraham Foxman, who as the Anti-Defamation League Director at the time, said Trump put the light on Palm Beach not on the beauty and the glitter, but on its seamier side of discrimination. Foxman also noted that Trump's charge had a trickle-down effect because other clubs followed his lead and
began admitting Jews and blacks.
In 2000, Maury Povich featured a little girl named Megan who struggled with Brittle Bone Disease on his show and Trump happened to be watching. Trump said the little girl's story and positive attitude touched his heart. So he contacted Maury and gifted the little girl and her family with a very generous check.
In 2008, after Jennifer Hudson's family members were tragically murdered in Chicago , Trump put the Oscar-winning actress and her family up at his Windy City hotel for free. As an entertainment journalist, I've had the opportunity to cover Trump for over a decade, and in all my years covering him I've never heard anything negative about the man until he announced he was running for president. Keep in mind, I got paid a lot of money to dig up dirt on celebrities like Trump for a living so a scandalous story on the famous billionaire could've potentially sold a lot of magazines and would've been a Huge feather in my cap.
Instead, I found that he doesn't drink alcohol or do drugs, he's a hardworking businessman. On top of that, he's one of the most generous celebrities in the world with a heart filled with more gold than his $100 million New York penthouse.
Since the media has failed so miserably at reporting the truth about Trump, I decided to put together some of the acts of kindness he's committed over three decades which has gone virtually unnoticed or fallen on deaf ears.
In 1986, Trump prevented the foreclosure of Annabell Hill's family farm after her husband committed suicide. Trump personally phoned down to the auction to stop the sale of her home and offered the widow money. Trump decided to take action after he saw Hill's pleas for help in news reports.
In 1988, a commercial airline refused to fly Andrew Ten, a sick
Orthodox Jewish child with a rare illness, across the country to get medical care because he had to travel with an elaborate life-support system. His grief-stricken parents contacted Trump for help and he didn't hesitate to send his own plane to take the child from Los Angeles to New York so he could get his treatment.
In 1991, 200 Marines who served in Operation Desert Storm spent time at Camp Lejune in North Carolina before they were scheduled to return home to their families. However, the Marines were told that a mistake had been made and an aircraft would not be able to take them home on their scheduled departure date. When Trump got wind of this, he sent his plane to make two trips from North Carolina to Miami to safely return the Gulf War Marines to their loved ones.
In 1995, a motorist stopped to help Trump after the limo he was traveling in got a flat tire. Trump asked the Good Samaritan how he could repay him for his help. (OPINION) ETH – Many devoted QAnon supporters are claiming that President Trump was recently speaking to them through “hidden hand” gestures in his recent address condemning Capitol violence in DC.
During Trump’s video speech which was posted to the White House’s Twitter account, Trump said the rioters were not his “true supporters” and slammed the attack as a “calamity.”
“I unequivocally condemn the violence that we saw last week,” Trump said. “Violence and vandalism have absolutely no place in our country and no place in our movement.”
However, In the video Trump is seen to moving his hand four minutes and 20 seconds in and according to a report from the SUN, QAnon devotees believe that he was sending them a message.
This conspiracy claim was announced on a pro-QAnon forum called “the Great Awakening”, where the poster allegedly claimed that Trump’s hand movements at that specific time represented “dash-dash-dot-dash,” which represents the letter Q in Morse Code.
This conspiracy claim was then quickly picked up on numerous Telegram channels that have gained huge numbers of users since Twitter removed QAnon-linked accounts and Parler was forced offline.
According to the report, QAnon supporters have been involved in much chatter on Telegram, as well as the social media site Gab, Where they believe President Trump is about to send them a message using the Emergency Broadcast System, claiming he will use this method to work around what they see as censorship by the big tech firms.
These conspiracy claims have also come with many predicting there will be a national power blackout which will signal the start of Trump’s plan to overturn what they see as the “deep state” which has been plotting against him.

Parler CEO John Matze said this week that he has been facing death threats in the days following his platform shutdown.

He also said that the de-platforming is nothing short of unconstitutional, and that technology companies like Amazon, Apple, and Google are kowtowing to Democrat demands.

Between Friday and Saturday, Google and Apple removed Parler from its app stores.
A day later, Amazon Web Services suspended the social media network's web hosting abilities, citing the company's reported refusal to remove inciting content shared by its users, which it said ultimately resulted in contributing to last week's deadly riots at the U.S. Capitol.
Parler filed a lawsuit on Monday that accused Amazon Web Services of breaching its contract and the violation of an antitrust law over the move.
Amazon Web Services said in response that it warned the site about user posts repeatedly, but to no avail.
"People have acted on these calls: Parler was used to incite, organize, and coordinate the January 6 attack on the US Capitol," Amazon Web Services said Tuesday in its court filing on the suit.
What are the details?
According to a Tuesday report from Newsweek, Matze revealed that he heard through news headlines that Apple, Google, and Amazon all had a hand in shuttering his web application, prohibiting users from downloading, logging on, or even viewing the social media site.
Matze told Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Monday that he is now receiving death threats.
"People are threatening my life," he said. "I can't go home tonight. This is really a lot. This is not just our civil liberties. [Big Tech] can shut down a billion-dollar company, half-a-billion dollar company, overnight."
He did not specify the threats he purportedly received.
According to the outlet, Matze also said that he never thought the tech giants would actually shut down such a site.
"I've theorized about it, we've definitely theorized about it," he said. "You just never think it will happen though. What's really interesting is that they all did it on the same day, those three, without any prior warning."
He added that there is varying reactions to the site's shutdown, but there are many people who are "egging it on and cheering."
"I have seen a lot of people say this is scary, but I've seen a lot of people who are participating in the five minutes of hate and egging it on and cheering," Matze said. "It is disgusting."
A spokesperson for Google told the outlet that the app will remain absent from the Google Play store until the application addresses the speech issues.
"We're aware of continued posting in the Parler app that seeks to incite ongoing violence in the U.S.," the statement began. "We recognize that there can be reasonable debate about content policies, and that it can be difficult for apps to immediately remove all violative content, but for us to distribute an app through Google Play we do require that apps implement robust moderation for egregious content."
The statement continued, "In light of this ongoing and urgent public safety threat, we are suspending the app's listings from the Play Store until it addresses these issues."
Anything else?
Matze said that he believes the site will be operational again "one day."
"We will be back up eventually because we're not going to give up," he insisted. "But soon is difficult. I thought immediately, 'No problem, I'll call up a new vendor.' We call up the vendor, we're all good to go, and then right at the last second, 'Sorry, somebody said something and we can't host you. 'Bye.' And it's been that one after another since then. Right at the last minute they just bail. We're going to do it. We're going to be back online one day, and hopefully soon, as soon as possible. But this is a real challenge. We have to build our own infrastructure, our own everything, in order to do it."
In an interview published Tuesday, Matze said that the suspension is nothing short of unconstitutional.
"I think it's sick," he said. "That's not what the Constitution said. That's not what the Constitution stands for, banning 10-plus million US voters from the internet, barring people from free speech."
He also said that tech companies are simply placating Democrats who are looking for a finger to point after the Capitol riots.
Fox News reported, "[Rep. Alexandria] Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), recently urged Apple and Google to take action against Parler, in a tweet the leader of the so-called 'Squad' of progressives sent to her 11.4 million followers. Ocasio-Cortez isn't alone. Many people on the left have made similar complaints."
Of the complaints, Matze said, "Frankly, I would call it evil, because my definition of evil is 'forcing your will upon others.' If you don't like what I have to say, you can disagree with me, but you cannot take vindictive action against me without being evil."

Later on Monday, Mr Wolf became the third Trump cabinet secretary to step down since the riots, after Betsy DeVos and Elaine Chao.
Mr Wolf said his departure had been prompted by "recent events", including court rulings challenging the legal validity of his appointment.
US security officials have warned of possible armed protests being held across the country in the days before Joe Biden is sworn in as president.
There are reports of armed groups planning to gather at all 50 state capitols and in Washington DC in the run-up to his 20 January inauguration.
Security plans are being tightened for the event, which will happen two weeks after a pro-Trump mob stormed Congress.
House Democrats say a vote to impeach the president will happen on Wednesday.
They accuse President Trump of "incitement of insurrection" and say the vote will be held unless Vice-President Mike Pence invokes constitutional powers to remove Mr Trump from office. There is no sign Mr Pence is prepared to do so.

TRUMP, President of the United States of America, find that the People’s Republic of China (PRC) is increasingly exploiting United States capital to resource and to enable the development and modernization of its military, intelligence, and other security apparatuses, which continues to allow the PRC to directly threaten the United States homeland and United States forces overseas, including by developing and deploying weapons of mass destruction, advanced conventional weapons, and malicious cyber-enabled actions against the United States and its people. Key to the development of the PRC’s military, intelligence, and other security apparatuses is the country’s large, ostensibly private economy. Through the national strategy of Military-Civil Fusion, the PRC increases the size of the country’s military-industrial complex by compelling civilian Chinese companies to support its military and intelligence activities. Those companies, though remaining ostensibly private and civilian, directly support the PRC’s military, intelligence, and security apparatuses and aid in their development and modernization. At the same time, those companies raise capital by selling securities to United States investors that trade on public exchanges both here and abroad, lobbying United States index providers and funds to include these securities in market offerings, and engaging in other acts to ensure access to United States capital. In that way, the PRC exploits United States investors to finance the development and modernization of its military. I therefore further find that the PRC’s military-industrial complex, by directly supporting the efforts of the PRC’s military, intelligence, and other security apparatuses, constitutes an unusual and extraordinary threat, which has its source in substantial part outside the United States, to the national security, foreign policy, and economy of the United States. To protect the United States homeland and the American people, I hereby declare a national emergency with respect to this threat. Accordingly, I hereby order: Section 1. (a) The following actions are prohibited: (i) beginning 9:30 a.m. eastern standard time on January 11, 2021, any transaction in publicly traded securities, or any securities that are derivative of, or are designed to provide investment exposure to such securities, of any Communist Chinese military company as defined in section 4(a)(i) of this order, by any United States person; and (ii) beginning 9:30 a.m. eastern standard time on the date that is 60 days after a person is determined to be a Communist Chinese military company pursuant to section (4)(a)(ii) or (iii) of this order, any transaction in publicly traded securities, or any securities that are derivative of, or are designed to provide investment exposure to such securities, of that person, by any United States person. (a) Any transaction by a United States person or within the United States that evades or avoids, has the purpose of evading or avoiding, causes a violation of, or attempts to violate the prohibitions set forth in this order is prohibited. WASHINGTON — Federal prosecutors on Friday moved to drop charges against the last 39 people accused of participating in a violent protest on the day of President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The motion to dismiss charges by the U.S. attorney’s office seemingly ends an 18-month saga that started with the Justice Department attempting to convict more than 190 people.
That effort saw the government facing off against an intensely coordinated grassroots political opposition network that made Washington the focus of a nationwide support campaign — offering free lodging for defendants, legal coordination and other support.
“This is huge news,” said Dylan Petrohilos, a Washington-based activist who was one of the original defendants, but had his charges dropped earlier this year. “The solidarity we showed as defendants won out.”
More than 200 people were arrested after the protest, during which several store windows were broken and a parked limo set ablaze. Two group trials ended in defeats for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, which was hindered by the fact that most protesters wore similar black clothing and covered their faces.
The first trial ended with acquittals for all six defendants. After that defeat, the government dropped charges against 129 defendants, including Petrohilos, saying prosecutors would focus on the defendants against whom they had the strongest evidence.
But a second trial for four people in May ended in acquittals on most charges and a hung jury on the rest.
Activists credited a unified defense strategy with prevailing. This strategy included persuading defendants — sometimes over the objections of their lawyers — not to accept plea bargains.
“Solidarity was what won the case,” said Sam Menefee-Libey, a member of the DC Legal Posse activist collective. “I hope that organizers and people on the left study it.”

WASHINGTON — Federal prosecutors on Friday moved to drop charges against the last 39 people accused of participating in a violent protest on the day of President Donald Trump’s inauguration.
The motion to dismiss charges by the U.S. attorney’s office seemingly ends an 18-month saga that started with the Justice Department attempting to convict more than 190 people.
That effort saw the government facing off against an intensely coordinated grassroots political opposition network that made Washington the focus of a nationwide support campaign — offering free lodging for defendants, legal coordination and other support.
“This is huge news,” said Dylan Petrohilos, a Washington-based activist who was one of the original defendants, but had his charges dropped earlier this year. “The solidarity we showed as defendants won out.”
More than 200 people were arrested after the protest, during which several store windows were broken and a parked limo set ablaze. Two group trials ended in defeats for the U.S. Attorney’s Office, which was hindered by the fact that most protesters wore similar black clothing and covered their faces.
The first trial ended with acquittals for all six defendants. After that defeat, the government dropped charges against 129 defendants, including Petrohilos, saying prosecutors would focus on the defendants against whom they had the strongest evidence.
But a second trial for four people in May ended in acquittals on most charges and a hung jury on the rest.
Activists credited a unified defense strategy with prevailing. This strategy included persuading defendants — sometimes over the objections of their lawyers — not to accept plea bargains.
“Solidarity was what won the case,” said Sam Menefee-Libey, a member of the DC Legal Posse activist collective. “I hope that organizers and people on the left study it.”

The mainstream media just tries to create a negative spotlight on Trump as often as they can, even when it goes completely against the facts and the truth.

Rep. Elise Stefanik, R-N.Y., plans to raise an objection when Congress meets on Wednesday for the Electoral College certification process, which is likely to finalize Joe Biden’s victory in the 2020 election.
“I plan to object to certain contested electors on January 6,” Stefanik said in a statement, according to the New York Post. “I do not take this action lightly. I am acting to protect our Democratic process.”
She added, “Article II and the Twelfth Amendment of the Constitution make clear that I have an obligation to act on this matter if I believe there are serious questions with respect to the Presidential election. I believe those questions exist.
“Tens of millions of Americans are rightly concerned that the 2020 election featured unprecedented voting irregularities, unconstitutional overreach by unelected state officials and judges ignoring state election laws, and a fundamental lack of ballot integrity and security.”
About 140 other congressional Republicans have announced their plans to object to certifying Biden as the winner, but Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky., has rejected those calls, and House GOP Conference Chair Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., said in a letter last weekend that the effort set an “exceptionally dangerous precedent.”

Seriously. The punitive provisions crammed into the enormous bill, warned Evan Greer of the digital rights group Fight for the Future, “threaten ordinary Internet users with up to $30,000 in fines for engaging in everyday activity such as downloading an image and re-uploading it… [or] sharing memes.” As a lame duck, Trump had absolutely nothing to lose by taking a stand against the wasteful spending in the bill and the kick in the teeth that is a $600 payment to Americans. Calling a $600 payment “relief” when the government shut down businesses — many of them permanently — and drove unemployment to record highs in the tens of millions is not only an insult to anyone with half a brain but it speaks to the flagrant careless attitude of America’s rulers. Congress essentially said, “Here are some crumbs while we give our special interests the whole loaf.” Trump had one chance to attempt to make things right by vetoing the 5,600-page bill, that was full of bloat, giveaways to special interests, and tyranny. Instead of vetoing the bill — which he called a “disgrace” — however, he proved himself to be a member of the very swamp he promised to drain for the past 4 years, and signed this disgrace into law. One of the victims of the massacre was a 9-year-old boy. He literally pardoned child murderers over a reporter whose only crime was informing the world of American war crimes. Pennsylvania, the U.S. Supreme Court abdicated its constitutional duty to resolve a real and substantial controversy among states that was properly brought as an original action in that Court. As a result, the Court has come under intense criticism for having evaded the most important inter-state constitutional case brought to it in many decades, if not ever.
However, even in its Order dismissing the case, the Supreme Court identified how another challenge could be brought successfully — by a different plaintiff. This paper explains that legal strategy. But first we focus on the errors made by the Supreme Court — in the hopes that they will not be made again.

Next, he spoke of the significance of that wonderful event while drawing attention to the real reason for the birth of Christ.
"As Christians everywhere know, the birth of our Lord and Savior changed history forever," Trump declared. "At Christmas, we give thanks to God, and that God sent His only Son to die for us and to offer everlasting peace to all humanity."

The president focused on the timeless effects that the first Christmas has on us today.

In a powerful message, the President threatened to veto the bill if serious changes aren’t made to the legislation entirely, calling the bill a “disgrace.” Changes to the legislation include increasing stimulus checks from $600 to $2000 as well as removing the “unnecessary and wasteful” spending from the year-end spending package.
President Trump blasted lawmakers on the long-awaited legislation saying the package was entirely different than what was previously discussed. Trump claimed the bill’s length and complexity has allowed for few members of Congress to effectively read the bill in its entirety providing a cover for lobbyists and special interest groups to add stipulations to the bill.
“It’s called the Covid Relief Bill but it has almost nothing to do with Covid,” said President Trump
The President blasted the billions of dollars allocated in the bill towards foreign countries while Americans continue to struggle to make ends meet throughout the pandemic.

The year-end funding package, often referred to as an omnibus, was combined with the coronavirus stimulus bill as Congress raced to get out of Washington, D.C., for Christmas. The funding package was previously negotiated in Congress, while lawmakers finally came to an agreement on the coronavirus aid over the weekend. Both would have had to pass anyway, but combining them allowed it to be done in one vote.
It’s unclear at this point what Congress will do about Trump’s demands. Trump did not issue a direct veto threat in his Tuesday video and still could sign the bill if lawmakers and their staffs don’t come back — although it is not clear if they will or not, according to congressional sources.
Trump also has the potential, if he simply refuses to sign the “coronabus” and Congress doesn’t send him anything more, to “pocket veto” the legislation. That would force Congress to essentially start the legislative process all over. It would put the government at risk of a shutdown yet again, as it is currently operating on a seven-day interim spending bill.
The President ended his message by saying that if Congress fails to properly amend the bill the next administration will be faced with providing a Covid package.

The year-end funding package, often referred to as an omnibus, was combined with the coronavirus stimulus bill as Congress raced to get out of Washington, D.C., for Christmas. The funding package was previously negotiated in Congress, while lawmakers finally came to an agreement on the coronavirus aid over the weekend. Both would have had to pass anyway, but combining them allowed it to be done in one vote.
It’s unclear at this point what Congress will do about Trump’s demands. Trump did not issue a direct veto threat in his Tuesday video and still could sign the bill if lawmakers and their staffs don’t come back — although it is not clear if they will or not, according to congressional sources.
Trump also has the potential, if he simply refuses to sign the “coronabus” and Congress doesn’t send him anything more, to “pocket veto” the legislation. That would force Congress to essentially start the legislative process all over. It would put the government at risk of a shutdown yet again, as it is currently operating on a seven-day interim spending bill.
The President ended his message by saying that if Congress fails to properly amend the bill the next administration will be faced with providing a Covid package.

(December 3, 2020 / JNS) Among those who understood the depth of former U.S. President Barack Obama’s hostility to Israel, there’s understandable anxiety about the Obama retreads and acolytes among the foreign policy and security nominees being chosen by the prospective president-elect, Joe Biden.
Obama’s hostility is assumed to derive from his left-wing mindset which regards Israel, falsely and ahistorically, as a colonialist occupying power. He demonstrates this in his new memoir, A Promised Land, in his profoundly distorted account of the origins of the modern State of Israel.
There is, however, a deeper reason why both Obama and the left find Israel so intensely problematic, and why a Biden presidency will once again have Israel in its cross-hairs. This isn’t about foreign policy. It’s about the program for America itself.
The core of the left’s agenda is to remake the Western world; and the agenda of Obama and the American left is to remake America.

Their target is the Western nation-state and its culture. The core precepts of that culture are articulated and enshrined within the different histories, laws, religions, institutions and traditions of individual Western nations.
The left, however, deems the Western nation-state to be evil because it declares itself superior to cultures that don’t share its values while excluding those who don’t belong to it.
Hence the left’s constant undermining of immigration laws in their attempt to erase national borders; their refusal to grasp that citizenship is a bargain between the citizen and the state to which he or she belongs; and their savage denunciations of those who uphold such notions as racists or xenophobes, in order to erase their voices altogether from the cultural conversation.
The nation, its specific attributes and the borders that define its territory must instead give way to a Kumbaya vision of the brotherhood of man expressed through transnational institutions and laws.
Much of this erosion of Western values has already been achieved, in schools and universities, through the culture wars. Obama’s strategy in his eight years in the White House was to weaponize this agenda through the presidency.

This should chill the blood of all who care about defending America and the Western culture that it leads. For what Obama means is that his project in remaking America is unfinished, and he now sees the chance to complete that transformation.
He writes: “I’m convinced that the pandemic we’re currently living through is both a manifestation of and a mere interruption in the relentless march toward an inter-connected world, one in which peoples and cultures can’t help but collide.
“In that world—of global supply chains, instantaneous capital transfers, social media, transnational terrorist networks, climate change, mass migration and ever-increasing complexity—we will learn to live together, co-operate with one another and recognize the dignity of others, or we will perish.”
Alliances and co-operation between nations committed to the same values of freedom, democracy and innate respect for life are indeed all to the good.
What Obama is eulogizing, however, is a world in which the boundaries between nations are blurred, transnational corporations and institutions rule America, and representative democracy—as the political vehicle for a nation’s identity and culture—is evacuated of power and meaning.
Beneath his honeyed euphemisms, his agenda raises the “possibility” of an America whose historic self-image as the “exceptional nation” is condemned as racist, whose desire to defend itself is dismissed as xenophobic aggression, and which is all too eager to “recognize the dignity” of those who pose a mortal threat to America and the West.
This agenda brings the left into a headlong confrontation with both Israel and Judaism itself.
Judaism is the ultimate particularist culture. As was noted by the former British Chief Rabbi, the late Jonathan Sacks, the people who are always in the way of any universalizing agenda are the Jews. This is something that progressively minded Jews, who form the majority of the American Jewish community and who have effectively made a religion out of liberal universalism, simply cannot understand.
The principal target of liberal universalism is the Western nation-state, which was supposedly brought into being in 17th-century Europe. The belief, however, that the nation was essential to safeguard life and liberty was pioneered thousands of years ago by the Jews.
The template for the nation-state was the ancient kingdom of Israel, composed of a particular people in their own land bound by their own laws, which expressed the history, traditions and principles that formed their shared identity and purpose.
As Yoram Hazony observes in his book The Virtue of Nationalism, ancient Israel, which formed a nation out of the unification of tribes, laid down a formula for national unity that created England in the ninth century, the Dutch Republic in the 16th century and, in the 18th century, the United States of America.
The profound influence of the Hebrew Bible on America has been dwelt upon at length by the New York Rabbi Meir Soloveichik. In his preface to the book he helped edit, Proclaim Liberty Throughout the Land, he records how the founders of the United States constantly turned to the Hebrew Bible as their shared heritage and foundational text.
Soloveichik writes: “From the Puritan fathers to the American Framers, from slavery to abolition, from the Liberty Bell to America’s celebration of national Thanksgiving, the Hebrew Bible is one of America’s formative books, reflecting in the new continent, in the new nation, in America’s rebirth of freedom, the moral and narrative inspiration of ancient Israel.”
A nation, however, ceases to exist as such if it cannot defend itself within its own borders. One reason why Israel falls foul of the Western left is that it is single-mindedly determined to defend itself as a nation.
By contrast, if Biden becomes the 46th president, he will undermine his country’s defenses. He has said that he will undo policies introduced by Trump to deter illegal immigrants and which aimed to restore the integrity of the notion of citizenship.
He has pledged to revoke Trump’s restrictions on immigration from eight countries—six of them Muslim—which are viewed by the Department of Homeland Security as presenting a terrorist threat to America.
He is also reportedly rethinking the role of the military in the way America deals with the world, and is looking for a defense secretary who will share his aim to “de-emphasise the military as an instrument of national power.”
Instead of promoting his nation’s strength, he will therefore advertise its weakness—and he will call this virtue.
He will not just be undermining the security of his country. He will also be taking an ax to the Jewish roots of America’s idea of itself as a nation.
That’s the context in which to frame his anticipated coolness towards Israel—the nation-state of the people who, whenever a society succumbs to any universalizing ideology, are always to be found in the way.
